The terrace with the private pool was the main reason for choosing this hotel. It was absolutely amazing. The water was warm enough without heating and couldnt get enough of swimming. The terrace is big and the view amazing. The AC of the room was quick and helped to cool down well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Acro Suites, the hotel is beautiful and staff incredibly attentive to your needs. Our room was a great size, very clean and the private pool was perfect. Amazing views from all parts of the hotel.

Awesome hotel ... Very nice swimming pool with a breathtaking view, rooms are very cleans, breakfast is quite small but good with "a la carte" menu in top of buffet. Staff always available, or directly on WhatsApp, late check-out possible with extra cost, nice private pool with daily check. Small villas are really nice, with very efficient cleaning staff.

Perfect for everything. Enthusiastic staff,delicious food and an extremely comfortable and elegant room with incredible sea view. This should be the best resort that l have ever been. You are free to choose lying on the couch beside the private pool or attending the GYM lessons. By the way, hope the lovely cat Roy always being happinness and pleasure. From the moment we arrived at Acro Suites, we were completely blown away. The setting is absolutely out of this world — perched above the sea with panoramic views that are nothing short of breathtaking. Every corner of the resort seems thoughtfully designed to showcase the natural beauty around it. Our suite was perfection: beautifully minimalistic with every luxury detail accounted for, and the private pool was the ultimate indulgence. Floating in the water while watching the sunset over the cliffs is a memory we’ll cherish forever. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made us feel welcomed from the first moment, always going the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed (and more). If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape with unmatched views and impeccable service, Acro Suites is the place. We’re already dreaming of our return.

All inclusive resort. Very friendly. We did the exclusive premier room with private pool - better if you prefer personal time - not crowded "public" pool.

A nice hotel that gives you all you need. We stayed in in private pool room that gave unlimited access to the a la carte resteraunts. I would highly recommend this as the main resteraunt is like a school canteen. Staff overall very good apart from reception who could not be ruder if they tried .

Property is quite isolated which was fine for what we wanted but if you’re not here to relax it might not be ideal. There are some stunning views from the hotel, we did have a private pool but unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side and we didn’t get much use but still enjoyed the views. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they do respond to issues very quickly for example our bathroom window wouldn’t close but maintenance was at our room in less than 30 minutes to fix. The food was excellent and the buffet was different each night which was nice.

The hotel is nice , the staff went out of their way to give the best service they could , extremely lovely people! The view from our room facing the Rock was A ONE Million dollar view - the hotel is built on a hill, great for good walkers. You can chose a room with a private pool if you wish. The food was very good and with a great variety , yet above all the credit goes to the wonderful staff @reception and @the hotel restaurants.

We arrived around 9pm and were offered a late meal in the restaurant. Staff were friendly on checkout, I think maybe as a result of several emails we'd sent advising our holiday was for a birthday celebration. We were shown to room 355, with its own pool and on two levels. We'd booked a supreme sea view with own pool so we were happy. We got slippers and dressing gowns,but these were old and not very fluffy. As in previous reviews, the furniture and paintwork is tired, but the necessities are all there and we arrived to a bottle of wine and bowl of fruit in our room which we thought was a nice touch. The bedding was fresh and very clean, but only one UK TV station - news 24. The food was very varied, and we both found plenty to eat (we're both fussy eaters!) The private pool was a very good size, and we spent a majority of our time in it. The staff try very hard to make your holiday, from the room cleaners to waiting staff, everyone is friendly and smiley. Sadly definitely not a five star hotel as per UK standards, but well worth visiting.

We had the top penthouse with private pool, it has a dream setup, ideal for a couples break. Staff was always helpfull, good food and the surroundings where very beautiful

We had a wonderful week at this hotel, we really enjoyed staying in a suite with private pool. It was quiet, away from the busy area of the hotel, and the sunrise views were spectacular. The whole hotel team made sure that we had the best possible stay and we really appreciate their help. Lovely hotel breakfast, great restaurant and room service menu, fantastic housekeeper with great attention to details... we wished we had stayed longer!

The view from the room was unreal - we looked out from our bed over the cove and the beach was a short walk down from the hotel (7-10 min). Breakfast had so many options. The pool area was cute and well set up to soak int he pool or relax in the sun. We ordered drinks and food from the pool and both were great.

The hotel is absolutely perfect. There are too many things we liked about it but I will try and list some of the things. The friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. I didn’t get all of their names unfortunately but Angela stood out due to her happy & bubbly personality - she always has a smile on her face. All of the staff are so nice, very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel also has 2 swimming pools (one being the quiet pool which was so peaceful & relaxing!). The food at the hotel was delicious & the beach/restaurants (so many restaurants to choose from) are only a 5 minute walk away!! The bus stop is right outside so you can get a bus into the city. Lastly, the room was so homely, clean & comfortable. The list is honestly endless. We loved our stay. We will definitely be back & I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!

We loved our stay at the Irida Hotel. This boutique family-owned hotel was perfect for us. It was modern, clean and fresh with great views across Agia Pelagia bay. Service was outstanding, with staff remembering your name, always smiling and friendly. Great cocktails and good food and wine - we were also able to do a local wine tasting session which was great. The room was modern and equipped with a small kitchen which was useful. Comfortable sun loungers and nice pool area, pool a little cold but to be expected for October. In a good location about a 7 min walk from the main beach. I would recommend this hotel.

The neighborhood is very clean and quiet. The Staff and the food are exceptional ! The main pool area is beautiful. Our room had a swim up option, it's quite private and it's very stylish! I will be back there as soon as I can!!

Music was loud until 8 or 9pm and playing until midnight. Lots of people by the pool. Great sunbathing area to work from in the swim-up rooms while you watch beautiful people partying. It's a hotel room in a nightclub. If that's what you want (which I did) then it's great. If you don't want that, stay elsewhere. Either way, no complaining! and you should absolutely upgrade to the swim-up rooms.

The property was unique in that it had so many swim up rooms & beautiful pools. My room might have been a bit small for 2 people.

The staff are extremely friendly. Every part from check in, ordering from the multiple bars to organizing a late checkout was smooth and easy. The breakfast was great every day, with a lot of variety and good quality food. The private pool at our room was perfect and added a lot of comfort. The pools at the hotel were very clean, the water a good temperature and with plenty of sunbeds.

Such a fantastic customer service. We have nothing but praise for this lovely hotel and all of the staff. There was nothing too difficult or strange. We got caught in the strikes and arrived early and they had the room so let us checkin early. The half board was excellent with great meat at the taverna and there was so much food at breakfast as well. Beautiful setting and easy and comfortable room with a private pool, perfect for family!

Hotel very clean and good facilities, staff helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 504 and the room is of a very good standard, cleaners keep it very clean, the bed is really comfy and a super king bed with excellent mattress. Shower is also excellent. Private pool nice however absolutely freezing. The only downside to the hotel is the food, and by that I mean the buffet, not the restaurant which is very good. We found breakfast catered more for the German pallet than the British. Also we dined at the evening buffet once and really didn't like it.

Had an executive swim up room which was excellent on a b&b basis. Room towels were changed regularly as was bed linen. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The hotel has 2 pools plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. They supply pool towels which can be changed any time. The main pool is lovely and quiet no music blasting all day which to me is a real plus. The second pool does have music but it’s not too loud for those who prefer background noise. Couldn’t fault this hotel staff helpful friendly and effecient. They had Greek entertainment 2 nights till 11pm. The beach is just a few minutes away and a bus runs from the top of the road every 15mins to the town. Only downside is Amoudara itself as we like to try different restaurants every night and these were few and far between and not very good either.

The reason I gave the hotel a high score is related to my impressions during the vacation: 1. Most of all the people. Teta, who gave us the confidence we have our back fully covered, the staff at the reception, and the waitresses (especially Panagia and Mariana who accepted with understanding the mess left around the table by our twin granddaughters age of 22 months) and of course the chambermaids who taught us a basic Greek 2. The spacious modern designed rooms. We took rooms of the Sea Front type, minutes away from anywhere (pools, beach, restaurants) 3. The food - the abundance that allows everyone to find the dish that suits them at every meal 4. The pools, the water park, the cleanliness of the facilities, an endless amount of beach towels 5. The location, the view, and the quietness

All the facilities, the pools, the sapce. the waterpark is great, the transpotation great, alot of pools so no crowded. always places to sit

It was very nice especially for the children who enjoyed the pool, the video games and the water slides. The staff was very nice, and the room we got was pretty awesome - just beneath the pool and the restaurants and with sea view. The room was cleaned every day and had everything we needed. There was also food all the time, so much so I had to go to the gym every morning just to balance it.

Basilicos restaurant - delicious varied food, good service, breathtaking view, sea, pools, nature, fantastic animation team, good gift shop, game room, mini kids club, playground. After the performance of the acrobats, our daughter began to do acrobatics in the room on the bed :)) Our daughter liked the train :) We are grateful for the help Anna, Maria and Mihaela. They explained a lot to us about the hotel and attractions on the island. We are grateful to the head of the kitchen ( unfortunately I don't know his name ) for allowing me to take food to the room when my husband fell ill and stayed in the room.

Wonderful hotel in a nice location in Ammoudara. I can totally recommend the private pool rooms, especially the quieter ones like we had - really worth the money! Everyone from the staff was super nice and helpful, we'll definitely return once more.

Amazing stay! Totally worth the price. Everything was perfect – great food, super friendly staff, and they were really careful with my lactose-free needs. Loved the private pool and the tennis court! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Our stay at the Castello was fantastic. The room is very nice and luxurious. The private pool on the balcony is really big and pleasant to spend an afternoon, it’s really not just a gimmick. The hotel’s restaurant is very good with a great view on the sea. And the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is the best place to go for calmness and an escape of life. The staff were friendly and always provided a professional approach. The food at the restaurant was excellent and our room was just perfect. I would recommend a car hire if you stay here. It’s out of the way of anything walkable and therefore if you plan to leave the hotel then a car is a must including popping to the local supermarket. I found for a five star hotel, having extras would be good such as the mini bar for the price you pay. €5 for a small Coke and a €10 charge for room service seemed a little steep. The restaurant isn’t the cheapest but well worth the money. Breakfast was excellent, a choice from the menu and buffet so awesome choice. We booked in to play tennis which was great. The gym is 24/7 but very limited in terms of equipment. As someone who goes to the gym regularly, I found that it was quite low level in terms of equipment. The only other negative would be the day we were due to check out our pool was emptied. We check out at 12:00hrs as our flight wasn’t until 23:00hrs so wanted to make the most of our private pool. However having woken up early, we found our pool to be emptied only for it to be filled by the time we had to check out. I would definitely come back here for the calm and the excellent service you receive here.

This place was amazing! Definitely the nicest lodging I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Gaia suite which had an infinity pool that overlooked the ocean directly off of the cliff. The staff was incredibly nice and helped with anything we needed. The only downside I can even think of is that the food and drinks were expensive, but it makes sense for a place as nice as Acro. However, On our way out, they gave us a free lunch box with a sandwich and fruit - so thoughtful! We also did a couples massage and I was disappointed to find out that we couldn’t use the bathhouse after. I can’t wait to come back to Crete someday and will definitely stay here!

This place is somewhat in a league of its own. Incredibly stylish with beautiful rooms which come with their own sitting area and pool. The whole feeling of the report is of calm and relaxation. The food in the restaurants is excellent, the service is great and the gym facilities spotless and stylish. On top of this the staff are the nicest and most attentive (if you require) of anywhere we have been. I cannot recommend Acro enough and really hope to return soon.

They should have communicated that they need 48 hour prior notice to get the outside pool heated. ! Not wait for me to possibly notice it on their website.

Not all 5-star hotels are the same. I have stayed at other 5-star hotels including in Crete. I think Acro is above and beyond a 5-star hotel because it is unique and outstanding. Acro Wellness Suites is just Exceptional! My stay at Acro for about a week from June 11-June 18th was above and beyond my expectations; it was a wonderful and great experience. My stay felt like a month rather than a week because I was enjoying every moment. The hospitality and service was awesome. The outdoor views from my suite and outside of Acro are breathtaking! All the staff at Acro are friendly, courteous, kind and they always made me feel like one of their own and my stay comfortable like home except with a much much better experience because they are always at your disposal. The staff and my stay at Acro made my visit to Crete worth it and memorable by making it much more fun, friendly, and enjoyable. Whenever I needed something or a special request, I enjoyed and loved communicating with the reception staff without picking up the suite phone--if you stay at Acro, you will find out what I mean.....). I'm divorced and, if I get married again, I will do my honeymoon at Acro. I have no complaints because I was always happy at Acro. Once again, thank you Acro and to all the wonderful staff for a great and memorable experience. I can't wait to come back again!

Everything is great. We enjoyed everything at the hotel, the food is delicious and the staff is very nice. We had a double room with a private pool, we really liked it. We planned to stay for one night, but after we tried the hotel, we booked one more night

We visited just 2 days after the start of the season and stayed for 7 days. The hotel was very well maintained compared to some other Mediterranean locations we've stayed in. The food at the main restaurant had some daily variation with some themes days in between. The quality of the food was always great, especially the local vegetables and meat / fish on offer. Do try the Flavor restaurant with the wine pairing if you can, it's a great way to get away from the chaos that buffets can sometimes be. We loved the onsite gym which is on par if not above some dedicated gyms in terms of equipment variety & quality. The fitness activities are also great! I can recommend the bike tours offered by the hotel, the mountain and road bikes they have are very well maintained and even for me at 2.07m tall there was something available. Give the archery course a try! Hendrick did a great job at explaining everything and helping us improve over time! Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful any time of day and no matter the question. The guest service will try to accommodate any request you might have. Overall we loved our stay at Candia Maris and will definitely come back next year for another relaxing holiday.

It was fantastic! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, such a home from home. The resort is huge which means that even though there are a lot of people it doesn’t feel busy. There are so many different areas to explore and it’s in a brilliant location just 10 minutes drive from Heraklion. The food was brilliant, which isn’t always the case in an all inclusive. So much variety, really delicious and very good at catering for allergies.

The staff was amazing! So kind and helpful. We really enjoyed all of the amenities too. The beach was beautiful but windy some days. It still felt lovely to lay out! And the food was wonderful.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. The staffs were extremely friendly and very helpful. The pools were nice and the bars by the pool well located. The hotel asked for our feedback half way through our trip and within a few hours our feedback was taking into consideration. The sea is only about 10mins walk away.

The food, the pool, the staff and this amazing view

We stayed in end of May 2025. The food as part of the all inclusive was “excellent”. So much variety and and there were new dishes on the menu for lunches and dinners. All inclusive wines, beers and at least 20 cocktails made with wines, ouza and Raki was included at the pool bar as part of the all inclusive deal. The quality of the meals was excellent and the restaurant staff were amazing. Special thanks for George and Viktoria at the Restaurant for making our staff welcoming. Huge thanks for the Head Chef for the amazing dishes. We also had amazing views from our balcony. Beds were comfy. The hotel had entertaining shows every night.

We were a family of 3 adults, with breakfast and a private pool. The staff is kind and especially thanks to Stella. The restaurants have a very rich breakfast. The location is excellent and accessible to a pampering private beach. A variety of restaurants and a supermarket inside and outside the hotel, it's easy to go on star trips. Gorgeous view. Already very pleasant. We highly recommend the resort

Very good staff, trying to make your stay the best. I had problems with my room, but there were no problems changing it. Clean rooms. Good beds. Different towels are provided for the beach. Because it was almost the end of the season, there were no problems with sunbeds neither near the sea nor near the pool. (The pool was not heated). View from the room was stunning. The surroudings are very nice.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food quality and choices on the all inclusive program. Beautiful location with plenty options for pool swimming, including specific children swimming pools and slides, and private beach with really good facilities and calm water to swim.
