The breakfast was superb. The staff were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. All of the restaurants were top notch. The villas were perfect, the cool pools and thermals pools were beautiful, and the swim-up bars were fantastic. The single best hotel I’ve ever experienced.

Excellent hotel with top-notch facilities and service. Delicious food, all set in a lush tropical forest. We loved the room with the outdoor shower and private plunge pool on the front porch. Getting around is easy—just call for a golf cart to take you anywhere within the property.

Everything. The most amazing place I’ve ever been. Excellent food, tons of animals on property (saw baby sloth from five feet away!), the staff would give us impromptu Spanish lessons… swim up bar in the springs had amazing bar tenders, special treats upon check in, turn down service, at the Italian place. I wanted to go back as soon as I left. 😂

This is a special place. The rooms are separate buildings (or luxury “tents”) each with a plunge pool. The rooms are large and well furnished and decorated. The beds are huge. There was an outside shower with excellent pressure (plus an inside one of you prefer). There are three or four restaurants and multiple bars and swimming pools. The hotel covers a huge area and never feels crowded. We are in two of the restaurants. Our preference was for the Asian one. Breakfast is good.

From the moment we pulled in, we were greeted by Bryan with a cool towel and welcome drink. Our check in was quick. Bryan showed us to our 2 bedroom villa with a plunge pool. The grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was amazing with fruit to start and a made to order breakfast

The hotel, restaurants, and coffee/cocoa tour were all five stars. We were very impressed and would happily come back, this is a wonderful place. Our private pool overlooking the rain forest was particularly amazing, and the kids loved the water slide into the river.

Excellent facilities, especially loved our two bedroom villa with private pool. The hiking trails, hot springs and river swimming were also great! Staff was super helpful and allowed us to check in early which was a huge help with our baby.

Everything!! The location was incredible, close to everything but still quite and relaxing. We stayed in a room with a private pool and the pool was beautiful as well as the little terrace. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom, incredibly BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommended

This is a very modern and beautifully designed hotel that is very cozy and has amazing bathroom, the private pool was top notch. Staff was very friendly and the view to the Arenal Volcano couldn’t have been better.

The suite was pretty great. Was super nice having our own little private hot spring not having to go find parking at the other hot springs was nice. They had good food nice pools and hot spring pools that stayed open late swim up bar!

I loved the pool and thermal springs area. Especially the swim up bar in the hot springs was quite cool. It is a bit out of town but really close to the volcano.

This resort was amazing based on luxury plus harmony with nature. The hot springs are wonderful- about 9 small ponds and the big hot springs pool with swim up bar. Staff and service were top notch. You won’t regret staying here it’s amazing.

Loved the swim up bar, the new hot springs. Food and staff were excellent. Loved the open air restaurant. Do wish you could flush t paper but that is a country wide issue.

This was one of the most beautiful settings with the view of Arenal volcano from the pool area and even (we got lucky) from our hotel room. The hotel room was in a separate building with only two rooms in the building, this added a lot of privacy too. I loved the swim up bar at the main pool with multiple smaller spas. It was one of the best memories for all of us in my family.

Arenal Manoa is a Hidden Gem We booked a chateau for our stay and loved every minute of our stay Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, always smiling Breakfast was plenty, lunch and dinner had great dining options - “Le Saca”, Pizza and a Sushi Bar There are atleast 5-7 hot springs a large swimming pool and the chateau’s have their own private pool ! Very kid friendly with plenty of beautiful wildlife roaming freely which was a treat for the kids We enjoyed our stay and will be back ! Pura Vida :)

Overall I was very happy with the resort despite a couple of hiccups. The property itself is really beautiful. We stayed in unit 209 and have a fabulous view of the volcano and overlooked a grade with beautiful flowers. Nice private patio with 2 rocking chairs. The resort itself has flowers everywhere and the pool, thermals and restaurants are all in close walking distance. Con was problems with A/C and we had to call 4 different times (same day) to get it to finally be fixed (and even then remote did not work so could not turn down the A/C when it got too cold). Other con was when we first arrived there was a line of tiny bugs crawling up the wall. Called the front desk and they did their best to mitigate them while we were gone. But throughout the stay still had a couple here and there. Not a real problem as the bugs stayed in one area, and we could have called again but I didn't want them to spray anything while we were sleeping in that room. Check in was easy and quick. Pool overlooked the volcano and was really nice with swim up bar. We had desserts at the pool which were pricey but good. Only ate at the breakfast buffet so can't comment on other restaurants, but the buffet was extensive and fabulous, and the restaurant is open air looking out on green space and flowers. Upon arrival, found different chocolate bon bon type things waiting for us in the fridge, and on our anniversary had a towel animal w/rose and hearts on the bed. Overall would recommend.

We had a wonderful time at our little bungalow. It was a two bedroom with a kitchen and our own private pool. We were in the jungle so we had a lot of activity at night, but it was fun and well worth it.

We loved our stay. We stayed in villa 13 for our family of 5. It was large with 2 great bathrooms. Private pool and amazing views. Great kitchen. Breakfast was good and the grounds were nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! We stayed in Villa 12. I feel like I can confidently say this was the best one! View of the volcano out the back and the entire valley out the front. So much good animal watching and it was the perfect way to feel secluded in the jungle while being only an 8 minute drive to La Fortuna. We had no idea what we were booking, but it was amazing! At breakfast you get to choose between 3 options, typical Costa Rica breakfast, American breakfast, and pancakes and a parfait. We thought it was plenty of food and good quality, if not your typical American spread. Delicious juices, coffee and tea are also available. The pool and hot tub have a view of the valley as well. The hiking trail access included in your stay is a 2ish hour loop through the lush forest and a few fields. As a pretty avid hiker in the WA cascades, I would NOT say this is an easy hike/stroll, but might feel easier if you're used to the heat! I don't recommend going in the rain, the trail seemed like it would get muddy. We were stunned by what we got for the price, and will be talking about how amazing this was for years!

Arenal Waterfall Lodge was great. Older hotel but very clean. The staff at the hotel were all super friendly and accommodating. The grounds around the pool area were well kept and it was very relaxing to sit and listen to the birds. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were also very kind. It was delightful to meet so many nice people at this hotel. They had a super sweet dog on property that followed us on some trails and met us for breakfast. Really cool. I will definitely stay here again. Very peaceful property!! Pura Vida!!

Quel bonheur d’y séjourner ! Un endroit tellement charmant, on s’y sent bien dès le premier instant. La végétation luxuriante, les toucans et nombreux oiseaux, la rivière accessible à la baignade sur le terrain, sans oublier la piscine et l’aire de yoga font de la Villa El Tucán un véritable oasis de détente. Les chalets sont modernes, impeccables et correspondent exactement à la description fournie. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’intimité du site ainsi que les délicieux déjeuners et soupers cuisinés/servis sur place par les propriétaires (aidés par une aimable employée). L’endroit où ils cuisinent est d’une propreté irréprochable. Pour terminer, nous avons vu les propriétaires travailler sur leur site du matin jusqu’au soir; on voit tout l’amour et l’attention qu’ils portent à leur projet et celà se ressent dès les premiers instants. Ils ont à cœur le confort de leurs clients et s’assurent constamment que ceux-ci aient un séjour à la hauteur de leurs attentes, tout en respectant leur intimité. Un petit coin de paradis au cœur de la nature! On a adoré notre séjour à la Villa El Tucan ! Dès notre arrivée, Stéphane et Nillareth nous ont accueillis avec une gentillesse incroyable. Le chalet était super propre, confortable, et les espaces communs bien entretenus. L’endroit est vraiment paisible, parfait pour décrocher. On a eu droit à une petite visite du domaine avec Stéphane, qui nous a montré plein de choses intéressantes : bananiers, ananas, chauves-souris, fourmis coupe-feuilles… c’était top ! Et que dire du déjeuner typique costaricain qu’ils nous ont préparé ? Un régal ! On a vraiment senti que tout était fait avec cœur. Merci encore pour ce super moment, on espère sincèrement revenir très bientôt !

Villa el Tucan is a gem with impeccable service! Bijagua is a cute little village close to Rio Celeste with this new adorable lodge. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The cabins are cozy, clean, airy, and they even have screens on their windows and sliding glass door. Great lil porch to relax and enjoy the view. They even added a short walking trail to a refreshing river! They have thought of everything!

What a GEM! If you want peace and tranquility with amazing customer service this is your place. The cabins are adorable and the landscape is gorgeous! They have a beautifully landscaped trail to a river. We only planned on an 2 night stay but we enjoyed this place so much we extended our stay. The owners thought of everything possible to make this the gem it is! Gracias!

Belle propriété avec bungalows tout neufs et très mignons. On a même vu un paresseux dans un arbre. Juste à côté de frog's paradise donc parfait pour la visite de nuit, on peut y aller à pied. Repas et petits déjeuners très bons. Les propriétaires sont charmants et toujours prêts à rendre service.

We had a three bedroom two bath bungalow. On our mostly covered deck we had a hot tub and small private pool. The staff treats you like family from the moment of arrival. Breakfast is very good. The bungalow is very clean. Jose and his family made our stay exceptional.

This was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica! We loved it so much we changed our trip plans to go back and stay again! Our kids LOVED the private pool and we loved the hot tub. The house was beautiful and clean. The owners are so kind and helpful. They helped my kids knock down coconuts and showed them the animals. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

This is a family operated establishment with a small number of units. All bungalows have a hot tub. Some have balconies opening to the surrounding forest. We rented the family bungalow which also had a small private pool. It was great to come in after a day of hiking and exploring and relax in our private patio area with the pools. The rooms were comfortable and the A/C was very welcome as the temperature was rather warm and humid at times. Breakfast was included with options for a Tivo-style breakfast or a more international option. Jose and his mother was excellent hosts. He was especially helpful in arranging a guide for us (Beto) who very pleasant and had excellent knowledge of the area. (BTW: I STRONGLY recommend getting a guide for your explorations. Not only for their local knowledge but because fauna can be difficult to spot and almost impossible to get good photos without a spotting scope, which all guides seem to have.) The Bungalows are located a very short drive (less than 5 minutes) from the village of Chachagua, about 20 minutes from La Fortuna. We really enjoyed the authentic local Tico atmosphere. Everything we needed was available, several restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, etc. La Fortuna itself is a bustling town with lots of tourist activities. We personally preferred the more laid back, restful atmosphere of Chachagua.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our family stayed in one of the villas. It was a little too big for four but would be great accomodations for a large group. The pool and spa wasn't always working and we were not sure how to turn it on/off (we also didn't ask for help), but we didn't stay at the villa much. It was stocked with everything needed for cooking etc. Our 11 year old lived the pool table.

The only problem was in the beginning with booking when I booked a smaller room and they gave me problems exchanging it for a larger one as it was some special deal. Should have been done without issues as I was going to pay more for a larger room. Other than that our stay was flawless. Very comfortable large 2 bedroom casistas great for families, kitchen, outdoor sink to wash off the mud, very comfortable. The view from the pool deck was amazing, very pleasant staff, great food, enough vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some bikes for rental needed work so check make sure all is in working order. Three swimming pools including a baby pool. Would definitely return.

Beautiful outdoor setting at the top of the hill, with beautiful blue pool and string lights. Great views of the surrounding area and nature. The cottages are clean and well done. Surrounded by nature. Good restaurant. We had pesto pasta with shrimps, and garlic shrimp. Strawberry daiquiri was also great. The bike park and high end bike rentals sound awesome. We didn't try them. Friendly service. We also happened to talk to some of the owners. Great to hear what they are trying to do for the local community as well. Friendly service.

We loved our stay here. Gigi and the team looked after us really well. Nothing was too much to ask for. Great food available at the restaurant, the kids loved the pools and some good mountain bike tracks. Accommodations were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

The views were spectacular, and the pools were very pleasant. The restaurant was wonderful. We were there at a hot time of the year and there was no A/C, but plenty of fans and shade. Be aware that the road up is rough.

We have stayed here many times and every time have had a great experience! We love the comfort and style of the rooms, the pools, the restaurant and the attentive staff. We will definitely keep returning to the Pad!

Our bungalow was in a beautiful setting with well maintained gardens, good pool. Access to Atenas by taxi was easy, costing about $2-3 each way. The restaurant was good, the food tasty. Douglas and Frank went out of their way to help us with forward travel arrangements. The only suggestion we have would be that the shower tiles be made nonslip.

Beautiful place, the pool is so well maintained. The front of the bungalow faced the pool making it feel very quiet and tropical. Loved that there was yoga in the morning.

We arrived late after a long day of travel with two children. We had been traveling throughout Costa Rica for the past week and were looking for a place to stay after leaving Jaco and within an hour of San Jose Airport. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The food was delicious. Service was great. Our room was was quaint, clean and relaxing. Needed a few extra blankets for the children and they were more than happy to get those for us. Room and especially the Bathroom was very nice and clean. We wish we could have arrived earlier to enjoy the pool during the day and maybe stayed and extra day. The sharp left turn getting off the road from Jaco, threw us off a bit, but trust your Waze app. Hotel Colinas is tucked away in a cozy little spot with nice grounds with plants and trees. We would like to say thank you to the folks there with our late evening dinner.

The hotel is located very close to Atenas and in a lush garden environment. The owner and staff could not be more accommodating. The food was delicious. The pool was large and clean. And the room was a good deal for the inexpensive cost. The surrounding gardens teem with wildlife including interesting birds that build large nests hanging from the palm trees. We'll be back!

Just stayed here one night before flight out next morning. Seems pleasant, wish we could have enjoyed the pool. Had dinner and breakfast . Dinner was good, a little pricier than we found at most other restaurants in CR. Breakfast was included, few selections of some meats, scrambled eggs, fruit, toast and juices and coffee and teas.

We loved our epic adventure stay of two nights with beautiful and private facilities, incredible vistas, and kind and friendly service. Its just off the road, but quiet. A great place to stay outside of San Jose with easy access to Hacienda Alsalcia coffee tour, Dave and Dave's Nature Center, Sarapiqui, Poaz Volcano, and La Paz Waterfall. After a hot day, we found the solar-pool to be refreshing. The little town of San Miguel was so welcoming too! We had a great suggestion from our host to go to historic but humble Restaurant Gallita where we had typical beer, tapas, and a full bbq meal. George - a young entrepreneur at the restaurant who was born and raised i. San Miguel - spoke excellent English and shared many interesting stories of the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Situated in a very small town and surrounded by jungle beauty. Although there was no AC, the fan was sufficient. Waking up to jungle noises of all sorts and stunning views was such a treat. There was a pool on site, a tree swing and available walking paths.

The view from our room was spectacular, looking dramatically across the lush valley of the Sarapiquí River. Carla helped us settle in our huge, lovely, clean family cabin when we arrived, and the owners arranged for a rafting trip the very next day, which was outstanding, safe and gave us nonstop grins thanks to Epic Adventure’s stellar guides. Breakfast was handmade Nicaraguan tortillas, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee and tea, made con cariño by Carla. The rooms were comfortable with ceiling fans—no need for AC thanks to those, the slight elevation and the breeze. Hearing the river added beauty, and the 1/2 mile walk down the lovely trail past waterfalls to play in it was gorgeous and fun. Throughout our stay the owners and staff made us feel like family, while being professional, attentive and helpful. I’ll be looking for an excuse to return or meanwhile, to help others find their way to this special place and the special folks who run it.

Our experience was fabulous at Epic Adventure Lodge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility had many great amenities, such as a soccer field, where my boyfriend got to practice with one of the staff. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the hospitality.

This is one of the finest hotels in La Fortuna. Their warm welcome included complimentary drinks and a delightful tour on the way to the rooms. The rooms were clean, well-appointed with air conditioning and televisions, and even featured private decks. The courteous housekeeping staff added a charming touch with their flower animal creations. The hotel includes impressive amenities, including a frog sanctuary, swimming pool, two hot tubs, a game area, and a bird-watching site. The frog sanctuary was particularly exceptional, with its pond teeming with frogs and the complimentary night walks offering opportunities to observe diverse frog species and interesting plants. The pool and hot tub area provided a wide variety of seating including seating under a covered area, and the pool featured colorful nighttime lighting. The game area was well-equipped with a pool table and ping pong table. Bird-watching proved successful at the designated area. The restaurant offered exceptional food, drinks, and desserts, with outstanding service, particularly from Charlie and Jay. It was a truly wonderful hotel experience.

From the moment you step inside the entrance you know you’ve found a little slice of paradise. The jungle setting is powerful. It is lush and teeming with birds and other wildlife. But add to that the intimacy of the pool and dining area and private bungalows and it is more than just a walk in the jungle. The staff are outstanding in every way. Special shout out to Stephen,Charlie and, most of all, ChiChi, for their warmth and accommodating hospitality. When I asked for a drink they’d never heard of, ChiChi figured it out in record time and produced the best French 75 as we sat by the pool after a long day hiking. I can’t say enough about this place. The included breakfasts are outstanding and the evening entertainment was refreshing. For a change of pace we’d grab a quick Iber into town and try some local cuisine - so easy. This has been worth every penny. We will be back! PS. Don’t forget to grab a fresh coconut at breakfast!

What a magical place. Beautiful property with wonderful staff and a great view of the volcano, when it appears! It was perfect for our two families with teenage kids with the pool, hot tubs, ping pong and pool table. Breakfast was excellent with good variety and coffee/cookies on tap throughout the day was a hit. We loved the night frog tour and being able to walk to the waterfall, and town is just a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Our room (#6) was extremely spacious and had a balcony view of the pool and volcano. Breakfast included a great variety of choices, staff was incredibly kind and the pool area was perfect. The night walk was great and the town is a quick taxi ride away. Would definitely stay again if we come back to La Fortuna!

Included breakfast was excellent, especially given the self-serve espresso machines which produced excellent coffee. Staff were friendly and super helpful and can arrange to book any manner of tours on-site. Included jungle night walk was a fun and informative family experience allowing us to view many colourful frogs. Our room was a detached unit which seemed a little less modern than the cool-looking pods pictured on the booking site but it had a shower with an open-roof exposed to the jungle. Very nice. Pool was refreshingly cool and the hot tub and pool-side drink service was excellent. I felt like I was at the kind of place you might see in a Bond film.

Breakfast was very nice, modest but staff were outstanding. Our hot tub was lovely although I thought I’d be getting a private pool. Front of house staff were very lovely. Loved the unique greenery and feel of the hotel.

Noah's Forest was a nice respite from our stay at a number of places that were much cheaper in CR. The rooms were large/clean. The bathrooms also clean and spacious. The AC was great (temps were quite hot/muggy). The pool was clean and not crowded at all. There's a pool table and ping pong table under covered decks near the pool and a chess set in reception. You can request a yoga mat to borrow to practice yoga/stretch. There's plenty of filtered water and a coffee/juice bar at the reception for guest use between 10am and 10pm (before 10am, you can have coffee in the restaurant). The reception was incredibly kind and accommodating. Upon check in, we were in a time crunch. We were trying to make an afternoon safari so we literally dropped our bags off with reception and drove to our meet up site for the night safari. When we returned later in the evening/after our evening safari, we completed check-in paperwork and went to our rooms where are bags were safely placed. On checkout day, my family had a river rafting trip scheduled between 8-4. Noah's reception kindly held our bags AND allowed me to use the facility while I waited for my family's return. I worked from the covered deck near the pool (wifi is strong here but still not secure) and although they offered me a towel for pool use/use of outdoor shower, I did not swim. Finally, free parking. Yay!

A little piece of paradise! Amazing value for the price you pay. We stayed here on our honeymoon and were absolutly astonished. Special thanks to the wonderful staff Anna, Allan, Charlie and Arlen, who made us feel at home and connected with us as meeting old friends. The whole place looks like from a movie. Restaurant serves delicious foods and has everynight live music (19-21) We were proposed 2 free tours, one during noon to watch birds and sloths and one in the evening (19:15) to watch frogs and snakes, we took the evening one and it was amazing. The pool area is wonderful and you can play pool and ping-pong. There were 4 sloths living in the gardens and you could watch them trough a scope anytime during day. They serve one of the best coffees we tasted and breakfast to die for. I know this review sounds like payed ad but it’s not :D We were very happy there. Pura vida!

We have stayed in many places around the world and Noah's Forest was one of the best we have ever experienced. This place is truly exceptional. Beautiful sounds that make you feel immersed in a jungle environment with amenities in a stunning setting (outdoor pool and ping pong, pool, restaraunt). Free coffee and cold water at any time, incredible breakfast included with the stay, fantastic private hot tubs. There was nothing we didn't love. The staff was incredible. Anna at the front helped with anything we needed, even helping me figure out how to get a prescription we forgot to bring. She was so friendly, helpful and kind. The wait staff was similarly lovely and friendly. The room was crisply clean, with great a/c, and a lovely shower. If we ever get the chance to come back, we will. Book this place - you won't be disappointed!

Our stay at Noahs Forest was magical! The staff are first class & the welcome we received was incredible. We stayed here during our honemoon & were made to feel special, with a bottle of bubbly on ice, beautiful decorations & a card in our room when we checked in. Our room felt luxury & the cleaning staff fantastic - we very much enjoyed the daily towel animals. The breakfast was delicious & plentiful & they accommodated well at breakfast for the vegan diet. Noahs Forest is surrounded by nature & the sounds of the rainforest. We saw so many animals & birds on site. However, it's close enough to the town centre, which has plenty of shops / restaurants & tour operators - around a 25-minute walk or a few mins by taxi. The pool & hot tub were great, & we loved the pool table! The staff can't do enough for you & will happily help you with anything you need. We booked a couple of trips through the concierge desk & very much enjoyed these. They even helped us to complain when we had an issue with our shuttle bus company on check out & ensured they waited for us, as we were given the wrong pick-up time. We can't recommend Noahs Forest enough & would happily return!

For a unique experience with interesting and intimate setting! Try the large hot spring pool or from a couple smaller ones. A jacuzzi and swimming pool are also available for a dip. We enjoyed all kinds of wildlife spotting's from the hot springs and from short walks around the property to the nearby farm. Bella the pig and some beautiful horses can be spotted roaming the property as well as a new 15-day old donkey! While petting the Donkey one of the farmers showed us where they had spotted the 15-month-old sloth up in a nearby tree who was adorable. While enjoying the nearby pools we spotted many different types of reptiles including the basilisk or "Jesus Lizard". Birds of all different colors and types can also be spotted especially at breakfast where they piece of fruits in a few of the trees to ensure they show and for your viewing pleasure during breakfast. Baristas here are incredible as we enjoyed some of the best espresso drinks during our stay from iced lattes to macchiato served with delicate designs. Fresh fruits and juices are available at breakfast with a main option of pancakes, waffles, omelet and others. Dinner here was fantastic, and the seafood soup was one of the most flavorful and delicious soups either of us have ever had anywhere in the world. The seafood risotto as well as the beef loin were both amazing as well. With great food, staff and service, drinks, wildlife and variety of pools Hotel Silencio Del Campo is the #1 best hotel in La Fortuna!!!

I can't rate this property highly enough. The grounds are stunning and beautifully maintained. Each room is an individual tiny house/cabin with AC that cools it perfectly. The decor is typical Costa Rican. There are thermal pools (and a regular pool) on property, which are incredible to relax the muscles after a long day full of excursions. The drinks and food by the thermal pools were great; we enjoyed dinner there twice during our stay. Breakfast is included each morning; options were great and the fresh fruit and juice simply delicious. It is about an 8 min drive to downtown La Fortuna - perfect to avoid the traffic and bustle but still make it easy to head downtown for dinner. The treat for us was the small farm on the property: everything from a vegetable garden to a pig, horses, cows, chickens, sheep, goats, peacocks and more. My teenagers LOVED it (and they're not impressed by much these days). We were even treated to a sloth and it's baby in one of the trees behind our cabin. The staff was simply amazing and accommodating every step of the way. Highly recommend this hotel; we would certainly stay again if we return to Costa Rica. 10/10.

We stayed in a house on the hotel grounds, which we rented through Airbnb. It was spacious and comfortable. The hotel’s gardens are beautiful and meticulously maintained. There’s a cold (chlorinated) pool and several hot pools. I especially loved the hot pools, as they’re surrounded by lush tropical plants — I could have soaked in them for hours! The location is perfect for exploring all the attractions in the area.

Wonderful stay . Hot pools were very nice a private. Short walk to pools . It felt you were in the jungle at the pools . Farm was a extra joy!

The grounds really are as beautiful as shown in the photos with many birds and currently a sloth in a tree near the Farm. The thermal pools, although completely artificial, are also lovely and another highlight of the property. The Farm is another nice amenity. The regular pool is a small, but that's not what you come to Costa Rica for. The snack bar menu available by the pools is pretty reasonably priced and quality is good. Free breakfast is a plus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are large with high ceilings. Each has an outdoor table and chairs and a view of Arenal from the front door. In the morning you are awakened by the chirping of birds. My only quibble is the interior furnishings are a little mixed. Our chalet had a 20 year old plastic countertop that seemed out of place, but it appears they have been replaced in other units. The use of a lawn chair for the desk was also a little disappointing. Wifi and hot water were solid, although the sink faucet would make loud vibrations / sounds at certain water pressures.

It’s a luxury spa and quite an operation. It’s beautiful with good food and lovely rooms. We paid a bit more to be upgraded. Well worth it even for one night. Really loved the experience. Used the spa, had a great massage. Are at the pool. Great food poolside. Everyone really nice.

The best thermal place in Arenal Volcano. You will find many alternatives to enjoy thermal pools, but this is the best one by far. Natural river pools.

The whole experience at Tabacón was exceptional. It is expensive and we were (to be honest) expecting it to be quite busy with little space for a personal stay. However, this was absolutely not our experience. We were amazed at how private the thermal pools felt. There are so many places where you can sit with your own group completely secluded from others. The service was amazing and the quality of the food, drinks was also very high. An expensive trip, but certainly well worth it after 3 weeks of traveling through Panama and Costa Rica (a little bit of TLC for the family).

We loved absolutely everything!! The service was impeccable, the food and beverages were delicious, the rooms were very clean, the spa services were amazing, and the thermal pools were something everyone should experience in their lifetime. The ambiance of the entire resort was one of luxury and decadence! The flowers, the lush greenery, the animal sounds, and the water sounds made you feel like you were in paradise! Honestly, words do not do the resort justice…everyone needs to make this once in a lifetime trip. So gorgeous!
