Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Alajuela

The suite was pretty great. Was super nice having our own little private hot spring not having to go find parking at the other hot springs was nice. They had good food nice pools and hot spring pools that stayed open late swim up bar!

The pool and hot tubs and swim up bar all were great. Beautiful view of the volcano. Very good included breakfast. Close to La Fortuna. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pools, views, and food were all wonderful. Swim up bar for late night drinks and food was phenomenol.

I loved the pool and thermal springs area. Especially the swim up bar in the hot springs was quite cool. It is a bit out of town but really close to the volcano.

From the moment we pulled in, we were greeted by Bryan with a cool towel and welcome drink. Our check in was quick. Bryan showed us to our 2 bedroom villa with a plunge pool. The grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was amazing with fruit to start and a made to order breakfast

The hotel, restaurants, and coffee/cocoa tour were all five stars. We were very impressed and would happily come back, this is a wonderful place. Our private pool overlooking the rain forest was particularly amazing, and the kids loved the water slide into the river.

Excellent facilities, especially loved our two bedroom villa with private pool. The hiking trails, hot springs and river swimming were also great! Staff was super helpful and allowed us to check in early which was a huge help with our baby.

The location was private. The villa in person looked liked the pictures online. I loved the plunge pool. Very exclusive.

We stay at a lot of nice hotels all over the world, Four Seasons Tokyo and Maui, Hotel Ritz in Paris, etc. Though that is not what this Marriott is, I would say I enjoyed it equally to those experiences. This hotel has amazing charm, it is spotless, and the people who work here are genuinely kind, interested and engaged. The rooms are spacious and modern while keeping the old world charm accents. I read many reviews complaining of noise or thin walls? We did not experience this (had 2 rooms adjoining on the 4th floor). In my experience, everything about this hotel was respectful of others, no activities went late. The one bar/restaurant that was open the latest (besides the very lovely coffee shop/gift shop) was only open until 11pm and was far from loud or rowdy in any way. The pools are very clean - when it’s windy, leaves blow in. They choose the best times to clean each pool after the winds die down. Nothing here was dirty or unkempt. The food in all restaurants is well priced and delicious. The accommodating attitude of staff is obvious (one night we wanted to eat at the steakhouse which does not have patio dining so instead we sat at a restaurant that offered patio dining and the steakhouse menu was offered fed to us). The entire staff was great, but a nod to Johan and Alan at Bar 10 who gave us tips on our next stops in Costa Rica and were excellent bartenders and servers .

Congrats This is without a doubt the best Marriott hotel we have been to. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and well kept. The staff made our stay so enjoyable. They were always attentive and helpful. Not one time did I hear a NO. Very polite. The restaurants served large portions and were well worth the prices. Some observations: The sliding doors to the bathrooms are useless and make noise. The gardeners should use electric tools around the pool and rooms. We were there a little less than 24hours. I wanted to experience the outdoors not just sleep in a bed. Loved the grounds the pool and the noise of the birds.even had late lunch by the pool!!!!!!!!!!!,

As the title implies, this place saved our stay in Costa Rica! Having never been to CR before, we assumed that staying closer to San Jose would get us the best bang for our buck; so we decided to stay at the Sheraton. Nice hotel, but everything that we picked the hotel for (rooftop restaurant, swimming pool, executive lounge) were all under construction. We stayed 1 night and decided that we had to relocate. Also, the location was not so great either; the biggest benefit was the hotel is located within walking distance of a nice mall. So, we arrived at the Hacienda Belen, and just entering onto the driveway made me feel things are looking up already. Reception had a room ready for us upon arrival, ad immediately after check-in we were met in the lobby by the Manager (Caleb Samudio), who took us on a walk through of the property, had our bags delivered to our room, and introduced us to members of the staff whom we could contact for whatever...WOW! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the grounds are maintained at a vey high level. Throughout our stay (6 days), we interacted with many members of the staff, all of whom were personable and professional. A special shout out to the team in the executive lounge and the housekeeping team. The cost was a little more than the Sheraton, but Totally Worth It! WE have found a home away from home in Costa Rica.

What an absolutely stunning hotel! I stayed here for two nights at the end of my Costa Rica adventure. After traveling around the country for seven days, my goal was to find a comfortable, clean, and relaxing place to wind down before returning home (without having to leave the hotel- PSA: I previously stayed in downtown San Jose and didn't feel very safe walking around—do your research!). The hotel and its grounds are breathtaking, featuring two pools, a hot tub, plenty of chairs and tables for sunbathing, a driving range, and several dining options. I dined at three of the onsite restaurants, and all of them were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and kind! I spent an afternoon at the Kuo Spa, enjoying the hot tub, steam room, sauna, and an excellent massage. This hotel was the perfect choice for me as I didn't plan on leaving the premises, and there was plenty to do right there! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in the sun, or who needs to kill some time before a flight home!

The breakfast was superb. The staff were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. All of the restaurants were top notch. The villas were perfect, the cool pools and thermals pools were beautiful, and the swim-up bars were fantastic. The single best hotel I’ve ever experienced.

Excellent hotel with top-notch facilities and service. Delicious food, all set in a lush tropical forest. We loved the room with the outdoor shower and private plunge pool on the front porch. Getting around is easy—just call for a golf cart to take you anywhere within the property.

Everything. The most amazing place I’ve ever been. Excellent food, tons of animals on property (saw baby sloth from five feet away!), the staff would give us impromptu Spanish lessons… swim up bar in the springs had amazing bar tenders, special treats upon check in, turn down service, at the Italian place. I wanted to go back as soon as I left. 😂

This is a special place. The rooms are separate buildings (or luxury “tents”) each with a plunge pool. The rooms are large and well furnished and decorated. The beds are huge. There was an outside shower with excellent pressure (plus an inside one of you prefer). There are three or four restaurants and multiple bars and swimming pools. The hotel covers a huge area and never feels crowded. We are in two of the restaurants. Our preference was for the Asian one. Breakfast is good.

Everything!! The location was incredible, close to everything but still quite and relaxing. We stayed in a room with a private pool and the pool was beautiful as well as the little terrace. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom, incredibly BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommended

Beautiful private space that allowed us to relax after excursions. The suite with the private pool had a beautiful view of the volcano the minute we opened up the glass doors.

This is a very modern and beautifully designed hotel that is very cozy and has amazing bathroom, the private pool was top notch. Staff was very friendly and the view to the Arenal Volcano couldn’t have been better.

Our bungalow was in a beautiful setting with well maintained gardens, good pool. Access to Atenas by taxi was easy, costing about $2-3 each way. The restaurant was good, the food tasty. Douglas and Frank went out of their way to help us with forward travel arrangements. The only suggestion we have would be that the shower tiles be made nonslip.

Beautiful place, the pool is so well maintained. The front of the bungalow faced the pool making it feel very quiet and tropical. Loved that there was yoga in the morning.

We arrived late after a long day of travel with two children. We had been traveling throughout Costa Rica for the past week and were looking for a place to stay after leaving Jaco and within an hour of San Jose Airport. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The food was delicious. Service was great. Our room was was quaint, clean and relaxing. Needed a few extra blankets for the children and they were more than happy to get those for us. Room and especially the Bathroom was very nice and clean. We wish we could have arrived earlier to enjoy the pool during the day and maybe stayed and extra day. The sharp left turn getting off the road from Jaco, threw us off a bit, but trust your Waze app. Hotel Colinas is tucked away in a cozy little spot with nice grounds with plants and trees. We would like to say thank you to the folks there with our late evening dinner.

The hotel is located very close to Atenas and in a lush garden environment. The owner and staff could not be more accommodating. The food was delicious. The pool was large and clean. And the room was a good deal for the inexpensive cost. The surrounding gardens teem with wildlife including interesting birds that build large nests hanging from the palm trees. We'll be back!

Just stayed here one night before flight out next morning. Seems pleasant, wish we could have enjoyed the pool. Had dinner and breakfast . Dinner was good, a little pricier than we found at most other restaurants in CR. Breakfast was included, few selections of some meats, scrambled eggs, fruit, toast and juices and coffee and teas.

my goodness!!!!!!!! My experience was FABULOUS. 1st off if they've received a negative review I can't imagine why it must be a total nasayer. In my experience my room was quite lovely. Everything was impeccably clean the television was amazing the sliding glass doors with the view of the golf course was amazing both of the beds were perfectly made and extremely comfortable with nice linen. The towels were presented so nicely everything was fresh and clean. The little kitchen at with the microwave and refrigerator coffee maker was awesome the water pressure was excellent and with hot water. I really like how they have the bathroom separated with the sliding glass door. They're simple little details in the room that are obviously Upgraded ifelt modern. Unfortunately I came on a rainy day but I did still use the pool even though it was cold because I was so excited for it. It's a darling pool just big enough. I left for the airport too early for breakfast but I hear good things. I enjoyed the room so much that it decided to order in the gentleman at the desk assisted me with ordering Uber eats and delivered it to my room with all my tableware. I thought everybody there was just exceptional. The parking is extremely secure you need to let them know that you are going to take a space because it is behind huge gate. If you need to park on the road I do feel as if this neighborhood is exceptionally safe and I don't see an issue with parking on the street if nehad

This was our third visit to this beautiful boutique hotel. This is a stunning property with unique round rooms, and a beautiful Greek portico around the lovely pool. We were happy to find that the hotel is within east walking distance to regional bus lines, from which to see back-country Costa Rica. Hernan was gracious to hold our bags for an overnight trip to the country. On our second trip, we enjoyed the hotel as a home away from home, cooling off in the pool, and walking to the nearby mall with a variety of restaurants to choose from. The staff is attentive and friendly.

The Hotel Cariari is a hidden gem. Located minutes from the airport in a quiet neighborhood, this treasure is more like a boutique, Bed-and-Breakfast than a hotel. Relax in the refreshing pool, enjoy the view, delight in the custom-prepared breakfast, and chat with the knowledgeable and friendly staff.... all are options here. I stayed in room 104 which was adjacent to the pool with large doors that opened to the view of nearby mountains. Everything was clean, extremely well-appointed, and smooth. They arranged for airport pickup too! Just wow!

Beautiful, private property in a lovely neighborhood, a short drive to the airport. Walking distance to several excellent restaurants and a high end grocery. The rooms were quiet, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with lovely amenities. Breakfast was delicious and so generous. The courtyard and pool area are a relaxing place to unwind after a long journey or time spent in the downtown area of San Jose. The couple who hosted us was exceptionally welcoming, and gave us suggestions with maps for where to eat, and places to go (and not go) downtown. We loved staying here and are so thankful for this experience-- will come again when we return to San Jose!

This boutique hotel was a perfect place to stay for our first night in Costa Rica, it is conveniently located close to the airport and down the street from many dining options and a Fresh Market grocery store. If your plans include staying in town, this place is a great little oasis. The property is very well maintained. The staff is very courteous and professional. If you have kids that can swim, the pool has a slide they’ll love!

We had a three bedroom two bath bungalow. On our mostly covered deck we had a hot tub and small private pool. The staff treats you like family from the moment of arrival. Breakfast is very good. The bungalow is very clean. Jose and his family made our stay exceptional.

This was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica! We loved it so much we changed our trip plans to go back and stay again! Our kids LOVED the private pool and we loved the hot tub. The house was beautiful and clean. The owners are so kind and helpful. They helped my kids knock down coconuts and showed them the animals. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

This is a family operated establishment with a small number of units. All bungalows have a hot tub. Some have balconies opening to the surrounding forest. We rented the family bungalow which also had a small private pool. It was great to come in after a day of hiking and exploring and relax in our private patio area with the pools. The rooms were comfortable and the A/C was very welcome as the temperature was rather warm and humid at times. Breakfast was included with options for a Tivo-style breakfast or a more international option. Jose and his mother was excellent hosts. He was especially helpful in arranging a guide for us (Beto) who very pleasant and had excellent knowledge of the area. (BTW: I STRONGLY recommend getting a guide for your explorations. Not only for their local knowledge but because fauna can be difficult to spot and almost impossible to get good photos without a spotting scope, which all guides seem to have.) The Bungalows are located a very short drive (less than 5 minutes) from the village of Chachagua, about 20 minutes from La Fortuna. We really enjoyed the authentic local Tico atmosphere. Everything we needed was available, several restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, etc. La Fortuna itself is a bustling town with lots of tourist activities. We personally preferred the more laid back, restful atmosphere of Chachagua.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our family stayed in one of the villas. It was a little too big for four but would be great accomodations for a large group. The pool and spa wasn't always working and we were not sure how to turn it on/off (we also didn't ask for help), but we didn't stay at the villa much. It was stocked with everything needed for cooking etc. Our 11 year old lived the pool table.

We were the only guests in this immense villa, amazing views over the city, pool, gardens, cooking facilities. A little bit hard to find specially at night. Great stay

El lugar ofrece una vista impresionante a San Jose. El personal es muy amable y tiene muy buena disposicion. La habitacion estaba limpia y era simple pero confortable, con ventilador y tv cable. El hotel tiene buen acceso a internet en las areas comunes y una cocina amplia para cocinar. Tambien una piscina que no pude disfrutar porque no hacia tanto calor. Si visitas Costa Rica, no recomiendo mas de una noche en san jose. Hay muchos lugares que ofrecen mejores atractivos que ver que la capital.

Fue maravilloso el hotel superó mis expectativas la casa de lujo verdaderamente le da honor a su nombre todos mis familiares y amigos les fascinó. La vista al valle central bellisimo. No cabe duda que regresaremos una y otra vez si Dios así lo permite. Don Guillermo el encargado fue sin duda nuestra persona favorita estuvo pendiente en todo momento siempre listo para ayudar el trato fue excelente. Recomiendo el lugar un 100% no tengo nada malo que decir, mas que ya quiero regresar.

En realidad el rotulo afuera dice B&B y no dice Hotel, pero no es muy importante. El B&B es MUY bonito, con habitaciones grandes y limpias. Hay piscina común y un mirador estupendo, sobre todo de noche. El precio es excelente por tanta calidad.

The view from the hotel is georgeous. The rooms don't really have a window to the outside, they open to the commune area. First night of stay was ok, but second night someone was watching TV very loud until late. : (

The only problem was in the beginning with booking when I booked a smaller room and they gave me problems exchanging it for a larger one as it was some special deal. Should have been done without issues as I was going to pay more for a larger room. Other than that our stay was flawless. Very comfortable large 2 bedroom casistas great for families, kitchen, outdoor sink to wash off the mud, very comfortable. The view from the pool deck was amazing, very pleasant staff, great food, enough vegan options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some bikes for rental needed work so check make sure all is in working order. Three swimming pools including a baby pool. Would definitely return.

Beautiful outdoor setting at the top of the hill, with beautiful blue pool and string lights. Great views of the surrounding area and nature. The cottages are clean and well done. Surrounded by nature. Good restaurant. We had pesto pasta with shrimps, and garlic shrimp. Strawberry daiquiri was also great. The bike park and high end bike rentals sound awesome. We didn't try them. Friendly service. We also happened to talk to some of the owners. Great to hear what they are trying to do for the local community as well. Friendly service.

We loved our stay here. Gigi and the team looked after us really well. Nothing was too much to ask for. Great food available at the restaurant, the kids loved the pools and some good mountain bike tracks. Accommodations were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

The views were spectacular, and the pools were very pleasant. The restaurant was wonderful. We were there at a hot time of the year and there was no A/C, but plenty of fans and shade. Be aware that the road up is rough.

We have stayed here many times and every time have had a great experience! We love the comfort and style of the rooms, the pools, the restaurant and the attentive staff. We will definitely keep returning to the Pad!

The hotel portal colonial is a very nice, family run hotel. The rooms are spacious with air conditioning and a free breakfast. The property is safe, secure and quiet with a pool. It is walking distance to many stores and restaurants. It is a great place to stay.

Hotel portal colonial Is an excellent B&B at a reasonable price. It is very clean and in an excellent neighborhood. It is only a few blocks from fast food restaurants and some reasonably nice restaurants. Just in case you forgot anything with your trip it’s only a few blocks from Walmart and a nice mall. Lucrecia and her staff are extremely helpful with Anything you need, from getting you day trips around the area to Getting your laundry done or most anything else you need. They are always smiling and happy. You couldn’t ask for a better place or better people.

Great budget hotel in a really good location, easy walking distance to Avenida Escazu mall. The owner is lovely, and The free breakfast in the morning was great. Coffee, orange juice, fruit, and a choice of eggs or pancakes. The pancakes were excellent. Great shower. Bed comfy but slightly firmer than I like. The only negative was that the AC was a bit noisy. When I’m back in San Jose, I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our epic adventure stay of two nights with beautiful and private facilities, incredible vistas, and kind and friendly service. Its just off the road, but quiet. A great place to stay outside of San Jose with easy access to Hacienda Alsalcia coffee tour, Dave and Dave's Nature Center, Sarapiqui, Poaz Volcano, and La Paz Waterfall. After a hot day, we found the solar-pool to be refreshing. The little town of San Miguel was so welcoming too! We had a great suggestion from our host to go to historic but humble Restaurant Gallita where we had typical beer, tapas, and a full bbq meal. George - a young entrepreneur at the restaurant who was born and raised i. San Miguel - spoke excellent English and shared many interesting stories of the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Situated in a very small town and surrounded by jungle beauty. Although there was no AC, the fan was sufficient. Waking up to jungle noises of all sorts and stunning views was such a treat. There was a pool on site, a tree swing and available walking paths.

The view from our room was spectacular, looking dramatically across the lush valley of the Sarapiquí River. Carla helped us settle in our huge, lovely, clean family cabin when we arrived, and the owners arranged for a rafting trip the very next day, which was outstanding, safe and gave us nonstop grins thanks to Epic Adventure’s stellar guides. Breakfast was handmade Nicaraguan tortillas, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee and tea, made con cariño by Carla. The rooms were comfortable with ceiling fans—no need for AC thanks to those, the slight elevation and the breeze. Hearing the river added beauty, and the 1/2 mile walk down the lovely trail past waterfalls to play in it was gorgeous and fun. Throughout our stay the owners and staff made us feel like family, while being professional, attentive and helpful. I’ll be looking for an excuse to return or meanwhile, to help others find their way to this special place and the special folks who run it.

Our experience was fabulous at Epic Adventure Lodge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility had many great amenities, such as a soccer field, where my boyfriend got to practice with one of the staff. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for the hospitality.

This is my "home away from home" when I travel. OMG! Where do I start, I have so many good things to say about Toucan Hostel. I have stayed at the Toucan four times and will continue to include the Toucan Hostel into my travel plans! The staff is always friendly, helpful and professional. The Hostel is always clean, quiet, has very comfy beds and there is fast and reliable Wi-Fi. You always have an opportunity to meet new people with the guests at the Hostel. The food from the food truck is reasonably priced and delicious and the Hostel is also close to other places. The Hostel also provides referrals for great reliable taxi service too! I always enjoy my stay at the Toucan Hostel! I am proud to share my experience and encourage others to give The Toucan Hostel a try!

Toucan hostel is close to the airport and there is everything you need close by as well. A local shop sells drinks, coffee and snacks. I arrived early and they had my room ready. I was so appreciative of their kindness. It is easy to get into the city from a bus that picks you up off the main road by the hostel. You can actually walk to the airport if you take the shortcut behind the hostel. The staff are very helpful and know the area and tour guides that can be trusted.

Very clean and only A10 minute walk to/from the airport. From the airport walk down to the main street where the bus stop is located. Walk to the overpass, cross the street anywhere it's safe. Once you go under the overpass cross the street and head to the Budget Rental place. Pass the building and take the first left. Toucan is on the right across from the Church.

I liked the most how the lady (forgot her name) helped me book taxi early in the morning. She was even awake at 4 am to make sure that taxi is there. Its really close to the airport, but you need to book transportation bc of traffic you cant really walk till airport

Our experience at Camino Verde B&B was absolutely amazing! The hotel is cozy and welcoming, but what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. They went above and beyond to help us find the perfect tours, making sure we had the best possible experience in Monteverde. Thanks to their recommendations, we saw incredible wildlife, met the best tour guides, and learned so much about Pura Vida and the beauty of Costa Rica. After our adventures, relaxing by the fireplace in the common area made us feel right at home. It was the perfect place to share stories from the day. If you’re looking for a place with fantastic hospitality, expert local guidance, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this is it. Highly recommend!

It’s absolutely amazing This place has a genuine quality to it and stands out with the great easy but top professional atmosphere. Interior design of the apartment I was staying in recalls set design of some Wild West movie of the 70ties in the best way and is a treat in itself- to the point that it’s hard to leave - beautiful thoughtfully crafted space - a gem Atmosphere is easy and makes me want to come back and explore the magic of Monteverde Last but not least- this great place feels Costa Rican (contrary to American colonisation that I am unfortunately experiencing now in Tabacon - I would have stayed longer in Monteverde if I knew ..) Hope to come back shortly

Absolutely loved our stay here! Justin and Diego were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. They made the experience at Camino Verde wonderful. The fire in the evening was lovely, the shared spaces were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is an easy walk into town and it was very easy to arrange tours at Camino Verde. We stayed in the double bed room (up to 4 people) which was a little small but comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and I loved the shampoo/conditioner they had available to use. Overall we loved our stay here, especially the people. Would definitely stay here again!!

Breakfast food and service was fantastic. Specialty coffees were a treat. Front desk staff very helpful in either Spanish or English. Community spaces (deck, lounge areas) were many and comfortable. Wood stove on cool nights was very welcome. Ability to use kitchen and refrigerator is unusual and very accommodating to guests. Having juices and coffee available and free around the clock, along with wine or beer for purchase is wonderful. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable - especially the bathroom and shower. Location is great with walking access to good restaurants, bars and groceries. Parking is plentiful and close. All in all a wonderful experience!!

The staff was exceptional! The front desk staff, Juestin, Diego and Michael, were welcoming and helpful with anything we needed ie tour recommendations and booking the tours. The breakfast room staff were friendly and served a lovely breakfast. The kitchen/dining room area and a refrigerator was available to be used by guests and coffee/tea/water popcorn was provided all day free of charge. I especially loved the outside lounge area just off of the dining room; a great place with a nice view and a beautiful breeze. Our room was small, but adequate for the two of us.

San Bosco Inn is an absolute gem. We wanted to be in Fortuna, to be able to walk to restaurants, not out at one of the resort type places outside of town. San Bosco gave us that, while being on a very quiet street just two blocks from the central plaza. The 24 hour security gave us complete peace of mind in this very busy tourist town. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The best part of the experience were the bonuses that were unexpected. "Breakfast included" does not come close to describing the full on buffet that we enjoyed each morning. It was more like brunch than breakfast. The other big surprise was that San Bosco is brother hotels with the resort-like Volcano Lodge, about 7 km away. Which means that we were able to make use of the thermal pools (swim up bar!) there after getting wrist bands and pool towels at the front desk of San Bosco. What a treat after a day spent hiking through the jungle. Our whole family agreed that we would enthusiastically recommend San Bosco Inn to anyone going to La Fortuna.

Great hotel with comfortable clean rooms. The view of the volcano from the pool is amazing. Really liked the seating area outside the rooms. The breakfast was amazing, really big and good variety. Nice pool at the hotel and it’s also great that you get access to the thermal pools at the sister hotel. It’s within walking distance to lots of restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very good value for money with access to thermal pool at Volcano Lodge that has two large pools, a jacuzzi and a sauna pod. Though four of us shared in a room, the room is spacious with space for four luggages. Ample car park. Lovely breakfast buffet. Lovely pool where our kids stayed in there for hours. Good location right smack in the city where you are close to many lovely restaurants. Make sure you got to Travesia Restaurant for dinner which is 4 mins walk from San Bosco Inn.

Exceptionally well managed. Excellent in all aspects location, room, breakfast, staff, cleanliness, pool, hot spring pool pass at sister hotel, advise on attractions, etc. Our flight to San Jose was delayed by 6 hrs so we messaged the hotel that we would not make it by the 10 pm check in time. They gave the room key to the security who took care of us at midnight check in. They really all take care of you.

Great location in La Fortuna. Pool and breakfasts were great and the access to the thermal pools we had as part of our booking were an amazing bonus.

We wanted to enjoy a few days in San Jose on our first visit to Costa Rica. The Sleep Inn proved to be a good stop. We liked having gated parking for our rental car, and because of the Casino next door, there was security on the property morning and night. The neighborhood felt safe enough during the day and into the night as we walked home from dinner. Walking to local parks, museums, shopping and cafes was convenient. The room was clean, quiet and had all the necessities. The staff were kind and helpful. A good first stop for our trip!

It's easy to get to, close enough to the centre, although not somewhere I like the walk around at night plus as long as you're not roadside, it's quiet (I've stayed before) The staff are always friendly, the breakfast is fine and the bed is huge I was able to leave my bags with them before check in, having arrived a bit early but also after check out to make a trip which I appreciated (though my bag was returned with a jam splodge on it)

Right in the heart of San Jose, this was a very comfortable and pleasant stay for vacation stay in the city. I came to visit the museums, just blocks away, and learn more about Costa Rica. The hotel is just 2 short blocks from the downtown pedestrian walkways, and there are several public parks surrounding the hotel and in the neighborhood. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything needed. The morning breakfast offered a variety of options and delicious. This was a perfect hotel choice for my needs.

The location is perfect if you plan to see the center of San Jose - everything is in walking distance. We liked the parking lot - they even let us leave a car for 2-3 hours after check-out which was convenient for our "walking tour". The room was spacious and clean. Beds were so comfortable and room very quiet (even if it was next to a busy street) that we almost missed breakfast because of sleeping too long ;) The breakfast was very good. The staff nice and helpful.

Clean linen, clean bathroom, clean towels, clean facility up to developed country standards. Free parking spaces (at another hotel we stayed in downtown early on in our trip, there was no free parking) , great location in downtown close to National Theatre, China Town etc. Great breakfast (included). Cheap (great value for money). We don't want to stay at anywhere else if we ever come back to San Jose Costa Rica.

Cute bungalow in lush garden. 2 pools: the small pool must have a perfect view of Arenal volcano when it is clear. (We didn’t get the chance to see the top) The hotel is well located, off the busy Fortuna town, on the way to Tabaccon springs. Hot water and good water pressure for the shower. Bonus: if you stay 3 nights, they offer laundery service for free.

This place provides the feel of a luxurious tropical oasis without feeling pretentious or unwelcoming. We stayed 2 nights and loved the landscaping, views, and breakfast. Our room was the farthest from the parking lot but the paved paths made it easy to transport our bags and we didn't have to climb any stairs. The pools were well maintained but we didn't swim. The location is close to the many restaurants and shops in La fortuna, and the various hot springs (free and paid). We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay with Arenal views.

The location is not in town but is very pretty and also the grounds are lovely. The staff are great. The hotel is also close to many activities such as the hanging gardens, Mount Arenal, and ATV trips for example. There is the option of either rooms more like in a hotel or self contained cabins. The option of two pools is great too. If one is busy there is always the other. I would recommend the rooms top floor furthest away but best views and lovely big rooms.
