staff were so helpful. Rooms tastefully decorated , could have been a bit bigger we had 3 single beds in our room. Small fridge in the room which was a bonus . Small balcony but lovely view. Pool area lovely but could do with an update, decking a bit rickety but pool kept clean. Moroccan theme throughout hotel very authentic. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, eggs , bacon, sausage and there was lots of cold choices, meats, cheese, yogurts with lovely pastries and nice coffee. Location amazing, couple of great restaurants in walking distance. The beach is less than 5 minutes away by car. Arrifana one way and Monte Clerigo the other, both just stunning. we will be back to visit for sure.

We stayed one night only, but it's suitable for longer stays. The room was clean, wide, view on the swimming pool, all amenities working great, quite comfortable beds. The hotel needs a little bit of renovation, but it was perfect for us. Breakfast was varied and enyoyable, pretty yummy I'd say. All the staff members who we met were very kind and welcoming. Ample and safe parking inside. Well located if beaches are your main interest, a little bit far from Aljezur, you need a car anyway. Would recommend, we had a (short) and excellent experience.

The room (big, super confortable with view to the pool and sunset every day!!) and the house (including beautiful gardens, dining room with kitchen access and own spot in the fridge, swimming pool) were just WOW. Felt like home. Breakfast absolutely amazing too with so much variety and local products (Alentejo bread and cheeses, homemade jams, freshly baked cakes, just so so yummy!!). First day I was a bit unlucky with other guests with some really noisy children playing in the pool but then they left and the peace returned :) Very nice location next to Odeceixe! In no time can be at the beach or have great dinners in the surroundings.

Everything is just perfect for a nice stay at Odeceixe, both for couple or family mode. Staff is super friendly, always ready to assist you, the room was spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. Our room had a view over the pool and garden, beautiful sight. Pool, tennis court and available bicycles are great additions. Breakfast is amazingly good and you can use a common kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. Plenty of parking space and great location close to Odeceixe beach and Aljezur (both 10 mins by car). Can't recommend enough !

Very friendly ( we could checkin hours earlier), superclean, marvellous pool in the beautiful garden setting, great breakfast, stylish. Excellent to relax and as a base for activities. The double beach (river plus ocean) at 10 mins drive offers exciting but also safe swimming due to lifeguards and the shallow zone largely separated by a sand bank from the ocean creates an additional kind of pool for wading, swimming and children’s play .

The breakfast is an absolute 10. The area around is so well- preserved: pool, garden, etc. They do offer massage services for very fair price. The do allow dogs & the extra is just 10 euros. They have reception open all time, so no problem with late check in. They do offer towels for the pool.

This property is spacious, relaxing, clean, and comfortable. We loved how nice (Tania?) was and how she took time out of her busy day to interact with my young daughter. My daughter loved the pool even though it was cool in November. We actually choose here because we needed to do laundry halfway through our trip and they let us help ourselves to the washing machines, which was super helpful. We felt at home here. The holiday cottage had a kitchen that was just right for us to cook dinner. The property grounds had pretty flowers, eucalyptus trees and citrus trees blossoming. We met Poochi and enjoyed the antics of the friendly cats on the property. The nearby beaches are: WOW!

We stayed for a week in Casa da Estela guest house located in the small village of Carrapteira. Our host, Estela, is a lively, generous person that makes everything comfortable and easy. The two guest rooms are on the second floor with a service area well-stocked with treats, breakfast foods and beverages. There’s a small fully-equipped kitchen on the first floor that guests can cook pretty much anything they desire. The village is surrounded by picturesque rounded hills and valleys. We can walk to the ocean in about 15 minutes and then wander for days. The neighbouring national park includes a coastal trail system which links some of the most beautiful coastline and beaches in the world. It is truly a living museum. One of our favourite parts of travelling is seeing how people live in their everyday lives. Casa da Estela is very genuine experience — clean, safe and gives guests a wonderful sense of Portuguese lifestyle. Many thanks to Estela and her husband for hosting us!

Estela herself is the biggest asset here - she is so welcoming and hospitable and tries to meet every need. We had a comfy room with ensuite and access to a guest kitchen with everything you could need. When we came in late and tired, not needing much after a late lunch, she appeared with fresh bread, a cucumber from her garden, then a tin of tuna … In the morning we enjoyed eggs from Estela’s chickens along with home made yoghurt and jams. It was like staying with your favourite Aunty!

It was like coming home to grandma‘s house. Estela welcomed me warmly. The room was comfortable and the (external) bathroom huge, everything spotlessly clean. The kitchen downstairs had everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal. I loved the little balcony and the peace and quiet, especially at night - I slept like a baby. Plus the house is practically on the path to Praia da Bordeira, an amazing beach. Thank you so much Estela for this wonderful stay!

A wonderful hostess who takes great care of her guests—it felt like visiting a granny. The room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious and well-maintained. The heating added a cozy touch, especially on rainy days. It was a lovely surprise that the hostess personally took care of everything and even offered homemade cake and yogurt. The location is excellent, very close to the town center and restaurants, making it a great place to stay.

Everything!!! Homemade cake and yoghurt were waiting for us as well as a full equipped shared kitchen (including access to fruit, tea, cereals etc). The bed was big and very comfortable, everything was super clean, the shower perfect, the owner incredibly nice! Evening sun on the balcony! The only accommodation on our trip smart enough to have moscito nets on the windows so we had the best sleep ever!

Casas Do Moinho is located between Odeceixe village and Malhadais village. It is a quiet and nice location by the main small village road. The Odeceixe village might be noisy in the summer, so this location is perfect and easy to reach with a car or by foot from the Odeceixe or Malhadais villages. The room is spacey and the view to the pool and fields is stunning. The morning at the balcony with a sunshine was beautiful. The breakfast was made from the local high quality products. It wasn't the biggest, but perfect for us. The hotel rooms are mostly a single apartments by the road. Typical Portuguese cute village buildings from outside, but well decorated and with wooden floors. The quality was all great. The amazing Odeceixe beach is not far away. 5 minutes with a car. The roads runs next to the Seixe river. With a morning mist it is like a dream drive. Highly recommended.

Everything about this hotel complex was perfection. It was the perfect ending to our 5-day hike along the Fishermen's Trail. The staff did not even blink when a succession of dusty hikers and cyclists invaded their pristine lobby and dining room. The view of the mill and the valley from the infinity pool is gorgeous. I wish I would have booked the hotel for 2 nights! The staff went above and beyond when I needed help with transportation on a busy holiday weekend. There's a wide selection of room types arrayed throughout the streets on this quaint hilltop. I had one of the suites which was gorgeous. There are two good restaurants affiliated with the hotel

Beautiful and well-appointed room with a comfortable bed and sitting area. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help us resolve a transportation issue. We also enjoyed the common areas, and while it was too cold to swim, we loved sitting by the gorgeous pool looking out over the mill and the hills around. We also appreciated the well-curated wines available for purchase. We hope to return one day!

We stayed for 2 nights at Casas do Moinho after walking 4 days on the Fishermen's Trail, and it was a real treat at the end of our trip. So relaxing and comfortable. We had a stylishly decorated studio house with a patio facing out towards the pool. All in all, a lovely stay, we didn't want to leave!

The hotel has a nice location on a hill overlooking a restored windmill. It's within walking distance of the city centre although through steep streets. It has a beautiful swimming pool area, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The apartment is clean, well decorated and the bed quite comfortable. The Wi-Fi connection was also fast.

Leider konnten wir den wunderschönen Pool aufgrund des schlechten Wetters nicht geniessen. Ich hatte mich sehr auf einen Tag am Pool gefreut. Das Hotel ist wunderschön, das Frühstücksbuffet umfangreich und alles sehr lecker. Alle Personen waren sehr freundlich! Leider einen Punkt Abzug im Komfort, aufgrund der grossen Abgelegenheit. Auch weil es kein Abendessen vor Ort gab. Immer muss mit dem Auto ein paar Minuten gefahren werden. Aber absonsten top und ich würde wieder kommen!

We loved everything about our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable - both my sister and I had the best night sleep we've had in ages. The room was clean and quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping and good wifi ... it had everything we could need or want. The robes and complimentary port were very nice touches. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying for both of us (one of us is a vegetarian, the other is not). The property itself is gorgeous. It happened to be a little too cold out to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and recommended some beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants for us to check out. Next time I'm back in this area I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to all my friends.

The room was really nice, had big bathroom with good shower and a comfortable bed. Also very clean and to a very high standard. Amazing breakfast, I ate so much of it! Stunning peaceful location which felt really safe and the pool was so nice. A wonderful relaxing stay in what felt like total luxury. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Make sure you drink the gift of port on the first night otherwise the cleaners take it away! We were very disappointed as were too tired after our flight in the first day but had been really looking forward to it.

We had a perfect stay in Monte do Cardal. We were welcomed by André who made sure to provide us with a list of local restaurants and some walking paths to explore in the surroundings. His tips added so much value to our experience as we got to taste delicious food and explore amazing beaches/viewpoints nearby. Rooms were simple but very comfortable and clean. Sunset by the pool is a must if you stay there, to enjoy the beauty around in the most absolute silence.

It was very nice staying there. The room was very clean, and it included a bathroom, which was quite nice. The bed was one of the best we experienced in Portuguese Hostels and the room even had a small balcony. The breakfast had everything necessary, it even included scrambled eggs. If you only have a couple of hours in Odeceixe, I'd recommend walking up to the windmill and enjoying the view. Additionally, there are some restaurants in that area.

Everything. Location is great with quite a few good restaurants nearby. Hosts are very friendly & helpful with multi-lingual skills. Room is very nice and comfortable with a great power shower. We had the best breakfast along the Fisherman’s trail with made-to-order scrambled eggs and plenty of other breakfast items. Would highly recommend it.

The owner and his wife were fantastic despite my limited (rubbish) attempt at speaking Portuguese they couldn’t be more helpful. Secure garage to lock our bikes, great big breakfast and copious coffee! Rooms exceptional for a tiny place and exceeded our expectations. Thanks Casa Luar!

This was simply a very beautiful space to stay in! Everything was very neat and clean, including the shared dining room/ common space. In the common space theres tea, a water cooker, dishes and cutlery, as well as extra blankets and some books. We loved the big window in our room, because theres a little barrier to block anyone from looking inside, while still making it possible to sleep with an open window. The chill seating area below the bed is cute and cozy. The bed was comfortable. Some reviews complained about noise but we did not have any issue with that, as our window was not towards the main road (we only heard quiet chatter from the restaurants, which I didnt mind and found quite relaxing). The main selling point is certainly the decor and makes this a very unique place to stay in!

Great location in the center of town and also conveniently located just next to a delightful cafe next door. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and was really impressed by the room. The beds ensure some privacy with curtains, the rooms have a separate bathroom that is clean and well looked after, there is little street noise filtering in and overall the decor is just really inviting. Great value and would recommend to anyone passing through this quaint town.

This place is pure perfection - responsive host, easy access, smooth self check-in, spotless bathroom, neat and perfectly clean bedroom and common space, with everything that made my winter stay there warm: additional blankets, termophore, gas induced fireplace heater. Direct sunlight straight to the shower in the morning was really just a cherry on top of stylish rustic decor and fantastic vibe. Could not recommend it more!

This was absolutely fantastic. On my 10 days trip this was the best hostel I’ve been to! I felt like I am in a 5 star hotel. I very much liked the solitude of this little green sustainable oasis near the coastside (with two almost private path to the cliffs and the beach, starting right in the garden). The cock crows in the morning in front of the house and you hear the ocean mumbling at night in your room. Neat cats and dogs around. There´s a cosy fireplace in the living room and good books about the region. Vítor is an excellent, very helpful and pleasant host, (though it seems to me, that he is not too fond of little chit-chats), he even gave people, who did the fishermans trail, a lift to the next busstop. His dinner was simply amazing, octopus, pork from the region, vegetables, Gazpacho, many tapas ahead, for example excellent fish fillets like tuna. Great wine and dessert. And everything for 25 Euro. A real treat. Book in advance! Parking is easy. I was really happy with my choice and would book it again.

Very welcoming, friendly and overwhelming experience. Quinta is having stylish interior with antique design, furniture pieces. All within the quinta is contructed with sustainable approach and modern recycling solutions, which is really impressive. Next to it there are nice pathways to the beach, shore, dunes and along coast which lead through the pinus sylvestris - pine forrest. We arrived late and Vitor advised us a very nice traditional restaurant with typical for this region and time of the year dishes and drinks. Very tasty breakfast with home made jams, cake, portuguese coffee and scrambled eggs from his chickens. What is Vitor is wonderful host, very knowledable and open minded, kind and welcoming. We loved that quinta is filled with many animals. Fully recommended.

The place is truly a home away from home! As a family of three we really enjoyed the peacefulness, the sunny terrace, the amazing (!) breakfast and the relaxed countryside atmosphere. Our daughter fell in love with all the chicken, cats, the dog, and was even interested in the grumpy geese :) You definitely need a car to get there and around, but as there are so many beautiful beaches and villages around, its worth renting one. The highlights of our stay were the two evening dinners Vitor cooked for us - we never had better food and it was the best introduction to Portuguese cuisine we could have imagined. Don't miss that chance! Thank you again, Vitor, for this great stay.

We loved this place! We felt like home. Atmosphere was warm and hospitable. It was an amazing experience to live with all these cats, dogs, geese and hens, to get up to the rooster's crow. Vitor lit the fireplace every evening, cooked fantastic breakfast, gave us useful recommendations. Once we walked to the ocean, and the route took just 20 minutes by feet through the forest to see amazing sunset. Our 2 year old son didn’t want to leave, he was crying. All of us was sad, when leaving, because we spent happy days at Vitor’s house. We are grateful to Vitor for this unforgettable vacations.

The stay was beyond my expectations! Victor is an amazing host, always willing to help or advise. He created a place that is not only eco friendly, off the beaten track and serene, but also where you can really feel like home. He puts so much love into his cooking, that you shouldn’t miss his dinners! (Breakfast is included). For the New Years he prepared a real feast. I don’t mind the beds that much as long as I get to have such a real and beautiful experience. I will definitely be back. And recommend this place to all nature, animals and countryside lovers.

Are you looking for a peaceful and relaxing place? Don't search more, you found the best place to be. Waking up and going directly to the pool, right before breakfast. Enjoy the first meal of the day in the facilities to have a great morning! After a full day at one of the beaches nearby, relax by the pool and after, you can go for dinner in one of the villages close by. The room we stayed in had everything that we needed and the staff was always there for us if we needed anything. We'll come back, for sure :)

The setting is beautiful, with a lap pool and pond adjacent. Our room had a kitchenette, so helpful as the place is 3 km from town. Pedro and his furry friends are all fabulous.

Loved our stay at Casa Morais. Fantastic little B&B, run by the amazing Alzira. She was so delightful, especially at breakfast, making us food and her amazing "life tea". Truly felt like a family sitting around during breakfast. Apartment on the top floor was spacious, comfy, BUT a little cold. As it was cold for that time of year. Great unit and location overall with an easy walk to the town center. Would stay again and again...

Not simply a great nights sleep in immaculately clean room, but an experience to last a lifetime. Our 92 year old host didn’t speak a word of English, only Portuguese - however we knew what she was telling us. The crochet glass covers and hand made placemats made me think of my gran and we so super cute. Homemade cake and ‘life giving tea’ for breakfast were devine. Such an amazing and memorable stay!!

Utterly incredible place, with warm, loving owners and super comfortable rooms. Honestly no issue was too big for the owners, and everything was done with joy and love! They were incredibly flexible with my changing plans. The food at breakfast was like grandma's cooking. And the place is beautiful, as well as being a short walk down the hill to the centre of town. I could not recommend this place more ❤️

Very traditional, in contrast to much of the accommodation we found ourselves visiting during our recent visit to Portugal. The property itself was very clean and comfortable, in a beautiful location. However, the most memorable thing about the property was the lovely host, who gave us a very Portuguese breakfast made from produce from her own garden. She made our stay very special.

The room was perfect, the terrace was beautiful with fantastic views. we had breakfast delivered to our private terrace by our host Morta. the pool was out of this world with a gorgeous water feature. the grounds of the pool were lush. you could also use the kitchen facilities in the main house. also an honesty bar in the house.

What an incredible, special place this was! Absolutely stunning location, from the long drive up to the house to the pool area and surrounds. Everything was perfect, the room was wonderful, clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge watching the sunset with a cup of tea and a cookie from the free sweets bar. The hosts were so lovely and couldn't do more to make your stay extra special. Breakfast was exceptional, with so much thought and care into the preparation, with such a stunning setting looking out over the trees. 100% recommend a stay here to explore the countryside and local beaches. Oh and the lovely dogs were a bonus!

We spent a whole week here during summer and had the best time. The bed was super super comfortable and the pillows are great too. A relief! Julio & Marta were wonderful hosts and clearly kind, lovely people. We loved the breakfast each morning – it was slightly different each time with fresh fruit, juice, coffee, croissants and bread, but always 10/10. On good days we'd bump into their beautiful dogs too. The pool area is so pretty – gorgeous landscaping with loungers on the grass and views of trees. Cleaning came through daily and refreshed the room. Felt very relaxed the whole week.

One of the best tourism accommodations we have stayed for a long time. And we travel a lot. Beautiful estate with a great garden and a scenic pool with a love for small details. The room had enough space, was very clean, well equipped, and had a private terrace with a nice view. The breakfast is very tasty and you can order it onto the room without costs. The owners were outstandingly friendly and tried to fulfill every wish. You get everything what you need 10/10.

Absolutely loved the mezzanine rooms. Beautiful location with stunning views over the valley and an amazing pool. The people were also lovely. Really friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and generous portions. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but it was also very close to Aljezur - great little place - and lots of beautiful beaches and walks in the hills. Would highly recommend if you’re after a peaceful, relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. We stayed for 7 days.

Very nice little set up. Rooms located around a central, private courtyard with a plunge pool, which is a bonus extra after a long hike! Very cute rooms, with a very comfortable bed on a mezzanine overlooking the main living area. Spacious with a really lovely bathroom and great shower. Kitchen area seemed to have everything you would need to cook meals. Close to town and about a 15min walk to the beach, which is spectacular! Staff were very helpful and arranged a taxi transfer back to Lagos for us.

Walking the Rota Vicentina this was my favourite stop and a perfect place for a rest day. Arrived all tired and dusty it was luxury to cool off in the pool and clean up in the great bathroom. The room was huge with a mezzanine level bedroom and a large comfortable bed. The kitchenette had everything you need and the place was spotlessly clean. I enjoyed a few beers sitting out the front patio chatting to the other guests and enjoying the pool. It's a short walk to the village one way and to the glorious beach the other way. It's a lovely spot for a bit of chilled R&R.

This guesthouse was the perfect place to land after a day of exploring the natural beauty of the area. The kitchen had everything I needed and the staff was very responsive. (My coffee maker wasn't working and I had a new one at my door posthaste!) The loft bedroom had a huge comfortable bed and was such a cozy place to end the day. The sparkling pool in the courtyard was a great place for coffee and meetups with the other guests. I will be back...

We absolutely loved the room, everything was self-contained including the kitchen that made it a super cosy place. We felt at home really and we needed that, after many miles walked during our fisherman's trail. Amazing pool that we couldn't use it due to the rainy weather. We have been able to dry all our clothes thanks to the A/C that kept the place dry and warm!

We visited the beach Monte Clerigo earlier in the day. It’s not the closest beach but was only 10 mins away and was beautiful. The kids enjoyed the animals roaming around and we loved the delicious fresh breakfast delivered to your door. We hope to be back to explore the west coast of Portugal more and would definitely come back to Herdade Monte do sol

We stayed with Alvaro on our Fisherman’s Trail layover day. What a perfect choice. The setting is rural with views, pool, peacocks and pets (we love furry friends!) Our day off turned out to be a great one to hunker down indoors (unprecedented wind), enjoy breakfast (delivered to our door!) and “retool.” Overnight brought hurricane-like wind and rain and we felt so secure in a well-built structure (trees in the area didn’t fare as well.) After walking to dinner (about a mile) we settled in front of the fire (: Thanks for a great stay in Arrifana.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We liked the generous breakfasts that were provided with the room. The wood burner and the wood supplied helped heat the living area on cold evenings making the accommodation very cosy. There is a good view from the rooms out over the pool with the sea in the distance. Each room has its own patio with seating from which these views can be enjoyed. The location is very tranquil and within easy walking distance of a couple of restaurants in the centre of the village.

The hospitality and communication from the host were fabulous. Sofia answered any questions I had promptly prior to our arrival. The room was exceptionally clean and the homely touches were most welcome. The breakfast was well catered and gluten free items were not an issue. We particularly enjoyed the rural feel to the location and the animals at the property were gorgeous and included horses, dogs and chickens. There was also a playground for children as well as a pool so this was a very family friendly place as well.

We loved our stay. Lovely view, hammock, pool, clean and comfortable. It was a bit cold when we came but if you had the sun it would have been so amazing To he kids loved the swings and animals and we loved the peaceful safe location. The breakfasts were a real treat! Would definitely return ☺️

What an incredible place, run by a wonderful family! We had a fantastic four night stay at Quinta das Alframbas. To begin with Vera notified us we could check in early, which was fantastic for us as our flight arrived early in the day. On arrival we were shown around and left to relax in our accommodation. We were then provided a delicious charcuterie board which was just what we needed after a long travel. The accommodation is spacious, modern, clean and well equipped, the pool and surrounding sun lounges a perfect place to soak up the sun and cool off in the pool. The breakfasts!! 7 different choices, with delicious fresh local fruits and cheeses, incredible cakes baked by Vera’s mum. I am coeliac, and was so moved by the efforts of Vera and Mum to accommodate my dietary needs. Receiving a whole loaf of gluten free bread and cakes every day just for me- very kind indeed. We had leftovers from breakfasts to use for lunches and afternoon treats when returning from a day exploring. If we had any questions or needed support Vera was always available, either in person, or via WhatsApp. The recommendations of beaches, restaurants, and places to visit were well received and much appreciated. A lovely place, and we can’t wait to stay again when we next visit Portugal!

The house was very comfortable, with beautiful soft furnishings. The kitchen was well equipped when we occasionally cooked. The service from Vera and Celia was 5 STAR, we couldn't fault the friendly service and warm welcome we received. The breakfast delivered was enormous, lasting us most of the day. Cakes, fruit, croissants, bread, cheese n hams, eggs, yoghurt, granola. AMAZING ! It was always 100% fresh and delivered at a time to suit. During our stay, it was my sons 11th birthday, Celia baked and dressed a birthday cake for him, the other children staying, joined in and sang Happy Birthday. This is one birthday celebration cake that will always be remembered, thank you . The setting is so peaceful, a great spot for a bit of bird watching or spotting swallow tail butterflies. The swimming pool is a great addition to the property, I was abit concerned about salt water pool, but you can't tell and it's a pleasant change from the smell of chlorine :-) It is well positioned for day trips to the beaches near by and Aljezur. Breakfast and the way to get it (on terrasse or at the pool in the morning sun) was definetily one of the unique specials and highlights,,, Calmness and relaxing atmosphere, pool, all like already described WIND PARK: Some people might be bothered : me not , see following You are in the "middle of a wind park" . When being very sensitive and depending on the wind you can hear a little noise. This all was not a negative issue for me , I even think we should get used to it to support ecological holidays,

The house and the entire grounds are beautiful, incredibly clean and well maintained, as is the lovely pool. After the third day, the house is cleaned and the bed linen and towels are changed. Even the dishwasher was turned on and emptied. The breakfast is fabulous! You can choose from 7 different menu options every day. Everything is freshly prepared, very tasty and lasts until the evening. The covered, shaded parking spaces are very pleasant. Vera and her family run the complex with a lot of love and heart! Muito obrigado! The access road (approx. 500 m) is a gravel road, which is a bit unpleasant. According to Vera, however, this is a public road and therefore the responsibility of the municipality.

Absolutely incredible stay! Everything was perfect, super clean & comfortable & nothing was too much trouble. Vera & her mum made us very welcome during our stay & they were always on hand with anything we needed. The place is truly amazing, so tranquil & relaxing & the Quinta’s are so homely & comfortable. The salted pool was a bonus. The breakfast is delivered to your terrace & was delicious. Lots to choose from & filled us up for most of the day. I was celebrating my birthday & I’ll never forgot it. The personal touches were very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning. Thank-you so much!

This place was charming. The staff was amicable, the room was nice and cozy, and the whole place was calm and relaxing. They made fresh breakfast every day, which was delicious. Wifi works well, and bikes can be borrowed for free if desired. Each room has access to the terraces, from which one can see the mountains. There are plenty of outdoor sitting areas, a shared "living room/kitchen", fireplaces, and a swimming pool, which everyone can use in summer.

My favourite hotel along Portugal’s west coast. The rooms are great and very comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the garden and warm pool. Such a peaceful place. Breakfast is prepared and served with lots of love and fresh ingredients, partially from their own garden. Short walk to the beach, numerous viewpoints and restaurants.

Everything is wonderful: beautiful location, close to the beach, charming, very good breakfast. Wonderful to wake up and jump into the swimming pool just beside your bedroom, to relax in front of the hills and dunes!

We liked the meeting area for happy hour and the outdoor pool.

Wonderful location if you're hiking the Rota Vicentina (Fisherman's Trail) with restaurants close by. Breakfast was superb. Staff are friendly. Great views out to the gardens and the pool from all the bedrooms. The first hotel in 8 days that provided hair conditioner, a small thing but very much appreciated. Quiet and inky black skies at night if you're into looking for shooting stars.

There is a yard around the house, where you can dry clothes or hang out. It was clean and warm (which for January was important). It is almost in the centre of Carrapateira, but then again - everything is. It is a small town.

Super responsive and flexible team of hosts, providing extra blankets and electric heaters by default, not to mention the washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. On top of everything, they let me deposit my luggage to be able to go explore the area after the check out. The bathroom is very spacious and very well maintained. The location is superb, offering both major beaches to be accessed by foot.

The room was cozy and very clean and comfortable to rest well after a day of exploring the Algarve region. The house has a shared kitchen, living room and patio with a grill too, everything was very cleaned. Carrapateira is a fantastic town full of surf culture and good food. The guy who showed us the room was super friendly and willing to help us too. Totally recommend.

I stayed there one night whilst hiking the Fisherman's trail. It was early February, so I had the place to myself. The bedroom was clean, nicely sized. The shared bathroom was clean. The bed comfortable and owner very nice. He allowed me to use the washing machine free of charge and I was able to hang up my clothes outside. I would stay there again!

Great stay, good value for money, kind hosts. Casa Luminosa was a great choice, and I'm just sad I wasn't able to stay a bit longer. The room was clean and tidy, the garden had space do chill, the kitchen was clean for you to cook if needed. Close to all the surf spots from the area and route from the Costa Vicentina!

This hostel with 2 rooms containing 4 dorm beds each is wonderful. There are two bathrooms containing showers and toilets. No problem with accessibility for all guests. Manuela is a friendly and very patient host who really wants to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The place itself is very clean. The indoor living space feels homely, the internet works great, the beds have memory foam type mattresses - as many staying here are hiking on the Fisherman's Trail and Historic Trail (Rota Vicentina) these types of mattresses are supposed to be excellent for joints, so nice touch! The main part of Nature House for guests is actually outside, which is a really unique experience and perfect in warm, sunny weather. There is a stove for cooking, cooking utensils, a kettle, cafetiere, enough cups, glasses and cutlery. A large fridge. Everything you need. Ample parking if you come by car and a green space where you can sit and relax or sunbathe. While in a quiet and peaceful corner, it is very central in the pleasant tourist town of Odeceixe just minutes walk from places to eat and drink and 40 mins on the hiking path from the beach.

This property is truly amazing and Manuela the host is so helpful and welcoming. Upon entering the house you find a large living area with sofas, stove, TV, dining table for 6. Then there is a huge kitchen fully equipped and another dining table. Outdoor area is extremely big with sunbeds, hammock, seating and ample space where to hang laundry. One can have a very relaxing time enjoying the sunshine in peace and quiet. There are two dormitories, very airy with four beds in each, power sockets, chairs and facility to hang clothes. Lockers are also available. Bathroom facilities are really comfortable and these consist of one room with two toilets, one shower, three wash hand basins, another room with three toilets, 2 showers and three basins and also a separate room with toilet, shower and basin.

Cozy and comfortable lodging in a quiet part of town. Staying here is like staying in someone’s home. There’s a living area with plenty of space to lounge/hang out. The outdoor kitchen also has a do in area and has direct access to the large backyard (with plenty of seating). The beds are comfortable and extra blankets are provided. Just a note that there is no reception/host on site but all the check in information is provided beforehand and communication is good.

One of the best hostels I've ever been, quiet, spacious, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms and enough showers, AC and spacious living room. The garden and the big kitchen in the patio are amazing. Manuela, the owner, is very friendly, answers quickly, and is very helpful.

Charming little hostel. I really liked the self-check-in process. The hostel itself was super comfortable, spotless, and had beautiful common areas. I especially loved the courtyard. The dorm and the bed were very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed more than one night.

There’s also a shared fridge where you can keep your drinks, which was really handy. Housekeeping came by every day to clean the room. Breakfast was delicious and generous – bread, cereals, yogurt, melon, juice, tea/coffee, and eggs made as per liking(scrambled, omelette, or sunny side up). But the best part was definitely the people. The host and staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Highly recommend if you’re thinking of staying in Odeceixe!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place, even if it was just for one night. The room was spotlessly clean, and the location of the house is great—right in front of a field with cows, which gave it a peaceful countryside vibe. It's also close to the town center, which I found very charming. The hostess was incredibly kind and prepared a delicious breakfast for us.

The host was amazing, she was very helpful, we got an upgrade on our room, instead of a 2 bunk beds room we got 2 separate rooms with bathrooms, TV, Aircon and small balconies. She made breakfast specifically for us, and asked what kind of eggs we would like. It was really nice!

We stayed 2 nights in Sulseixe Guesthouse while hiking the Fisherman's trail. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we appreciated the outdoor terrace (and the welcome drink provided by the generous host). Patricia was very friendly and welcoming and provided helpful advice about restaurants, grocery shops etc. The location was excellent for accessing everything we required. Would definitely recommend.

Located off of the main street, and up the hill in a quiet location. Silence is broken by church bells, which are silenced at night and early morning. Only add to the charm of our stay. This property has been renovated, and I will fit into the highest standards. Very tastefully decorated.

We were greeted by a lovely friendly host who made us feel at home and gave us lots of useful information. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean and a good place to rest after a day’s walking.

Patricia was very welcoming! We had done a long day of hiking along the Fisherman’s Trail & she offered us a beverage outside on the patio. It was so refreshing & lovely to sit & relax. Our rooms wear clean & comfortable.

I loved this hostel so much! It is a small place with unique atmosphere. It has all that one can need - fully equipped kitchen, nice common area, a lot of storage place in the room, swimming pool and a place to dry your clothes. The beds are comfortable. Some restaurants and a shop are within a short walking distance. It is such a quiet and calm area. And Ludo is a very welcoming host.

Brand new rooms and baths. Everything was beautiful and having a pool and wonderful common areas were perfect. Well equipted kitchen, including a shared food section. We rented a private room but would have been equally comfortable in the shared dorm for 4 people. Host is attentive and very attentive.

Ludo was a great host who always made sure the guests were happy and that the house was clean and tidy. It’s great that it has a pool and it’s in a relaxing location, but still walking distance to the beach.

Our stay at the lodge was really lovely. The owner is friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The shared kitchen was clean and with all the equipment we needed to prepare our food. It is located in a very quiet area which was great because it allowed us to have a peaceful night sleep. There were also a few little furry friends living nearby. Definitely recommended especially if you are doing the Fisherman Trail you can use it as a place to stay for the night and recover your energies.

Perfect location and hosts are very helpful and informative in the region. The lady who owns it does a small wash which is helpful if you are walking. Comfy beds and a lounge fur chilling out. Full kitchen facilities and a small well stocked supermarket. Eat at micro bar food is exceptional and portions are big so beware lol.... Beaches are expansive empty and glorious. This is one of the best stays in the rota vincentina.

Our stay in room 1 was very comfortable . We arrived on a Sunday,so the mini Mart was closed, but they gave us some Milk and coffee for our breakfast. The property has a kitchen where you make your own breakfast. This is not a B+B . In a good position,near to a couple of good restaurants.

Fernanda is a wonderful host, she was like a mother to us! She welcomed us with open arms and presented us drinks and selfmade cakes. My daughter has an egg allergy, so she made some extra vegan cake. Never seen that before. Everything was available in our appartment and breakfast was always on time. Every day we could fill in an Excell sheet with things we wanted, and there are many things to choose from! Don’t ask more than you need, it would be a shame to throw things away made with that much love. The appartment was clean and spacious, Fernanda was always around and ready to help. We visited Aljezur (town and castle), Arrafina, Sagres and Cabo São Vicente. Great beaches at Bordeira (30m) and Amoreira (15m) and a big supermarket 5 minutes away. If we ever come back to this region, it will be at Casa Alva! Thanks for our wonderful stay at Casa Alva, Fernanda!

Our stay was perfect. Dona Fernanda and her Mother areis amazing persons and makes sure your stay will be amazing. Her breakfast is unbelievable good and generous. We stayed at the apartment and is a very nice facility. The bed is very comfortable. The place is very quiet. We would come back again and highly recommend staying at Casa Alva.

It is a "Guest House" not a hotel, and so what it lacks in luxury, it more than makes up for with a very warm welcome, a chilled 'coastal-boho' vibe to the lobby and rooms, bright spacious clean bedrooms, a great pool area and a fantastic buffet breakfast with Gluten Free options available. (Some reviewers, I notice, compare it to a hostel - perhaps because it has a communal fridge for guests to store drinks/food. But for us, this was perfect.) Above all, the staff made this place memorable.

Seixe is certainly the cleanest hostel I think I've ever stayed in anywhere. Odeceixe is a nice, small town, ideal for stopping over during a trip up or down the coast or to explore the Fisherman's Trail. I was warmly greeted by one of the staff members who was cleaning when I arrived. The room was cozy and quiet, making my stay very comfortable. I was also lucky to meet one of the owners and had a lovely chat—she was incredibly friendly and a true hospitalaria. 😊

Many relaxing chairs and picnic tables were available outdoors. The shared kitchen was clean and well-equipped. And our quadruple bedroom was simple but spacious and well-organized. We loved the direct access from the room to the garden.

We were two hikers traveling on foot and appreciated meals available on-site - dinner & very good breakfast buffets.

Honestly everything was perfect for us… it was quiet with great facilities for me and my son. We could chill by the pool or play ping pong when we weren’t driving to one of the gorgeous local beaches. We will be back one day!

Great communication with host. Easy car parking. Great beach and walking trails near by. (By car) Odeceixe village has lovely restaurants and cafes and everyone was very friendly. A gem of a place. I stayed at this hostel while hiking the Fishermen’s Trail, and its central location was perfect. The 8-bed dorm was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The common areas and rooftop terrace had a warm, friendly atmosphere, making it easy to relax and connect with other travelers. But what truly sets this place apart is the unbelievably kind and helpful staff. I accidentally left my sunglasses behind and only realized it during my hike the next day. Exceeding all expectations, a staff member personally drove to my next hostel after their shift to return them to me. I couldn’t be more grateful! Highly recommend this hostel to anyone – not just for the great facilities, but for the exceptional hospitality.

Very spaceous room with a great view. Comfortable beds and the best thing for us was the electrical radiator, which we could use to warm us up with. There was a cool rooftop to enjoy the city view and a cute communal living space/terrace. There is a huge supermarket close-by and multiple dinner options as well. Perfect stop for the Fishermans Trail.

Overall the stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant. I stayed an extra night to further explore the city. The rooms were clean, the beds and linens provided very comfortable and there was an unexpected addition of having the shared bathroom with shower in the room (room of four beds). The owner Ricardo was on sight and helpful.

A wonderful house with a specious common area. We really liked our apartment, especially thanks to a comfortable bed with beautiful linens. Breakfast was prepared in advance and included variety of delicious local products (vegetarian only). Beautiful trails nearby, 5 mins to the closest beach by car, 10 mins to Arrifana beach. Shops and restaurants also about 5 minutes by car. Enough parking space, self check-in and check-out.

The breakfast was delicious and always nice prepared. We felt really at home in Casa Codebò. It's located in a quiet barrio and by car you reach everything you need super fast. The rooms were nice and clean and the hosts always very friendly and helpful.

Everything here was amazing! We get welcome snack and drink waiting in the room. View from balcony was amazing, ocean and perfect sunset :) Property has swimming pool, jacuzzi and chilling area in the garden. Next to property there is hostel with small bar where you can buy amazing burgers and they have option for sweet potato fries ( highly recommend trying! ) Breakfast was included, served in hostel area but you can eat it even on a rooftop with beautiful view. There was maaany options: different kind of buns, croissants, hams, cheeses, veggies, fruits, youghourt, mousli, jams, chocolate, scrambled eggs and bacon. There was also fresh juice and almond milk ( I am lactose intolerant, so it was a pleasent surprise) Beach is suuuuper close ( 5 minutes to top of cliff and than, obviously, extra 10-15 minutes to go all the way down) Overall, if you want to visit Arrifana, this place is a perfect choice

Amazing suites located in the heart of Arrifana. Right next to the Arrifana Destination Hostel, although that and the accompanying restaurant were under remodel in Jan 2025. Staff and cleaning lady were incredibly kind and helpful. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and fairly spacious. The shower had very good water pressure and hot water. Strong wifi signal. Can do laundry here for a small fee. The property has a pool although it was too cold to jump in. If I was coming back to Arrifana I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This was a nice stay near the Caminho Historico. The one bedroom bungalow was in a forest, with a seating area outside. It was very quiet in May. The shower in the bungalow was pretty good, and there were basic kitchen utensils. There is also a large pool, restaurant (very quiet) and a small store. I really liked the overall surroundings of the parc.

This is a nice family friendly campsite with cute bungalows, in high season its a little pricey but its close to the beach and the pool is nice enough.

The reasons why we always come back to São Miguel are the Human and Landscape factors. We love the bungalows in the freshness of the pinewood forest, the proximity of incredible cliff beaches the restaurant and the care in all things. On the other side of the balance, is the Team, young, intelligent and attentive. A special thank to Mr Raj, whom we had the privilege to know, and to attend to His Yoga Class, in camp. A mention to Mr Edson with His Bicycle library, in camp. We will be back. Thanks.

Muxima is a really special place, beautifully and thoughtfully designed, very peaceful and restorative. We stayed in the double room “ammour” and it was perfect for us - it was the only room without its own terrace area but we enjoyed the communal terrace and living room mostly to ourselves. We were a little unlucky with the weather but still enjoyed the bio-pool for a few quick dips. For super hot days I can imagine we would have spent even more time on the deck there. The owners and staff are all lovely, super welcoming and with great tips for the surrounding area. The breakfast was incredible - super fresh and slightly different each day which for a 4-night stay was wonderful. The nearby town has a couple of great restaurants and cafes, a nice vibe too. We had a car - which is pretty necessary - and drove to different nearby beaches most days. It couldn’t have been a better location.

It's a piece of Heaven on Earth. The location is great, it's near the center of Aljezur, so it's like 5 to 10m by car there. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was quite confortable and the decoration had some real good taste. The breakfast is divinal.. French toasts on the first day we arrived, what else can you ask for? Fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, etc. All great. The natural and living swimming pool is really fun and great for both adults and kids. At Muxima you just need to put your bags down, the moment you arrive, disconnect from the outside world and relax. Thank you Paula, we had a great time.

Beautiful, peaceful and serene. Welcoming hosts with fab recommendations for beaches and places to eat. Veggie breakfasts to die for. I was worried about it being fully booked and not having a terrace but it's so quiet and plenty of shared spare to relax. The natural pool is lovely but I wasn't quite brave enough to swim with the frogs!! The donkeys were gorgeous.

Amazing breakfast! Unique location and stay, the natural pool was great after a surf day. The hosts are very involved and attentive. Would come back anytime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta das Aguas. It was a luxurious accommodation in a tranquille setting in the country. Anabela gave us a friendly greeting with a welcoming basket. Later she also shared some fresh fruit picked on the property. Anabela was exceptionally helpful when we had some troubles with our phone service. We also thoroughly enjoyed the beaches in the area.

It is very calm place, lots of outdoor space, great experience for family with kids, as the kids loved the animals and played all the morning outdoors. the basket with food was such a pleasant bonus.

Very comfortable apartment, kitchen equipment, pleasured bathroom and welcome-pack of food thanks to host Anabella Near several wonderful beaches.

I love this place, location was perfect and also owner is really nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

Location was down a quiet track.Never just use sat nav to find the property as it led us a merry dance. Quinta was lovely our only very tiny gripe was the sofa was a bit tight for 2. Bed was great, shower was fantastic, facilities excellent, and our host was the nicest lady who met us on arrival with a basket of goodies and saw us off with more. And there was the funniest donkey in field next door.

We brought our Cockapoo so had a double room and private bathroom, it was south facing with huge glass windows facing the pool, terrace and superb views of the sea and beautiful sunset, however had to keep the curtains closed to keep the heat out. We didn’t encounter noise at night. The room was larger than we expected, quite an old bathroom but powerful shower, shower gel/shampoo, small bar of soap and it was clean. The A/C and Wifi was great, comfy soft bed and pillows, mini-fridge in room ( no kettle). The Pet Policy is just as relaxed with a few local dogs strolling in and out of the garden/patio. Beer & wine cheap and we tried a couple of their speciality burgers and fries which were very tasty and great value. The local surfing beach is 10 minute walk ( downbank 😎) and worth a visit. Lots of free parking but go early. A few restaurants also close to the beach and only a 5 minute drive to the local town Aljazer - lots of free parking and some nice cafe’s and bars. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and would revisit.

The locatuon is great with ocean views right on the Fisherman’s trail. The rooms were spacious & clean, the beds comfortable, the shower strong and hot. We had great ocean views from our room. The breakfast buffet was great - it cost 10€ if not included in rm. We ate at the restaurant for supper. The menu is small but it had some vegetarian options for us. There is a nice patio area and a full bar. There is also a small pool but we didn't use it.There is a shared kitchen with a refrigerator but it was not very clean.

Fancy hostel- nice rooftop space to look out over the bay, and a small pool etc. Beautiful artwork in the stairwell made of recycled rubbish found in the sea. Well equipped kitchen, comfy and clean bedrooms. Excellent Brazilian acoustic trio played one night. Short walk down to Arrifana beach which is stunning. Recommend walking the Costa Vicentina north from here. Stunning coastal views on the way to Praia de Monte Clerigo.

Hostel was very nice, clean, good location, friendly stuff! ❤️ Here is just one HUGE problem what doesnt have anything together with hostel! You who know you snore, and you know it because you say it in the room before sleeping with eight other people!!!! I find it very inappropriate, stupid and disrespectful that you have no problem with it, all night long, to get 7 other people out of the room, so that you sleep like a baby and the others have a bad night and a ruined next day! 🤬 have a little respect for others and next time book accommodation for yourself, or sleep outside! thanks

Close to many surfing beaches where you could rent surf equipment right on the beach, one in particular was Praia do Amado. Beautiful! Wish we had stayed longer as my husband loved the surfing.

Great location in a peaceful village, not far from sea. The apartment and the whole property were really nice, the hosts lived nextdoor and were very kind. We loved the peaceful atmosphere of the place. The apartment was big enough and we were absolutely satisfied with the interior.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice location as we don't like busy places. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of a rooster crowing and not traffic noises.

If you love it tranquil and rural, this is the place to stay when in the area. A car is needed to explore the beautiful places like mountainous Monchique and the gorgeous beaches.

Very peaceful place. We look forward to come again. Only 700 m from the fishermen’s trail.

This is an incredibly beautiful place (I mean the area around the house, the courtyard, the reception) with a wonderful atmosphere, we first read with such delight all the information about living in the apartment that was left by the owner of this apartment, we had a very warm and pleasant impression of this place and the people who participated in its creation. The cats in this place also bring a certain charm. Also, thank you for taking care of the heater and hand warmer, they were very useful for us that evening. Breakfast was good, lots of fruit, dried fruit, cold cuts, homemade yogurt and fresh bread

I loved how colorful it was! Our room was amazing. I love the kitty cats. I love all the places you can hang out at outside little special cubbyholes. Everything here was so artistically thought of whether it was decorating the room or the outdoor areas it’s beautiful and one of my favorite places. The brunch breakfast was also yummy and worth it.

A beautiful family-run place that makes you want to stay more in town! With clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms, and various nicely decorated areas inside and out to chill. Cozy atmosphere and friendly hosts. I happened to be there during a bbq evening so I enjoyed also delicious food in good company! Would definitely return!

When we arrived tracking through dunes, it looked like a little oasis! :) Everything was perfect - caring and helpful staff, beautiful, cozy design with many places inside and outside for resting and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend the breakfast (additional 10 euros but SO worth it). It was super delicious.

Staff were extremely friendly, beautiful property with lots of cute cats nearby, cosy common areas and a wonderful breakfast with good options for all dietary types. After a long day hiking in the rain this place was a godsend. I would recommend to anybody.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. We had our own giant terrace, and inside, it was beautiful. Truly felt like a little Califonia Hills mansion. The pool and BBQ facilities were great, and the host was super friendly and helpful.

The apartment is very well equiped, plenty of room, and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area too, which was lovely. Friendly helpful hosts too, it was very nice to meet them both.

The hosts were extremely accommodating and thoughtful. We enjoyed use of the pool, gym and patio. It was very comfortable.

Everything we needed. Well maintained inside & outside (garden & Pool). Nice and quiet, close to beaches, supermarkets, bars & restaurants.

A very calm and relaxing environment. The host is quite dedicated and helpful. Very complete range of accessories around the pool area, such as reclining chairs, umbrellas, floats, etc. Lounge area with ambient music, barbecue, and even gym! All this is available to be used by the guests.

I loved my stay. The room was clean and the bathroom impeccable. We even had a local rooster as an alarm clock. I would definitely stay here again in the future. It is very close to all of the important beaches of the area.

One of our favourite places while we walked the fisherman's trail. Beautiful terrace and great room in a nice town, which has a very large supermarket.

Sizable clean pool surrounded by lush green lawn overlooked by a contented donkey in the field beyond. Staff exceptionally helpful and on hand if required..I would certainly recommend for all whether single, couple or family, and will hopefully return.

The outdoor space was lovely with a splendid view over the valley. We enjoyed the beautiful pool which was open all day and night. Organic tomatoes growing outside the door, and basil and aubergines were available to guests, and wild mint was there for our mojitos!

Great Pool and and wonderful location. Away from all the mass tourism. A perfect location to come down, espacially for families.

Amazing pool and the house is amazing, so spacious. Perfect Alentejo views. The hosts are very nice and every request you have is promptly made.

Nice location in nature. It's great for family with kids. Comfortable apartment with a nice view to the pool shared with the other guests. Nice and hospitable hosts. Great bed. Road is OK and easy to use when you arrive from main road (do not use Tomtom!).
