The hosts were so friendly and provided helpful recommendations for our stay on Pico. The property itself is amazing and classified as a UNESCO world heritage site. It had a beautiful community room with hammocks, pool and lounge chairs, and trails through the old vineyards that you can walk. The breakfast was delicious and had so many options. Right across the street is an ocean swimming pool that we enjoyed watching the sunset from.

The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. Everything's done with such great attention to detail and the owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool area is stunning with a great ocean view and there is plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the view, even on a rainy day. We loved it and would definitely come back to this unique and wonderful place. The nespresso coffee was not included in the original offering but was kindly offered by the owners to us.

My husband and I loved our three night stay at Pocinhobay - we hated to leave and definitely plan to return for longer next time. Everything about the two bedroom villa in which we stayed was exceptional and top quality - roomy, comfortable, private, well-furnished kitchen, beautiful artwork throughout, gorgeous view from the wraparound deck/balcony. Loved using the outdoor shower under the stars. Loved the hot tub on the deck outside the master bedroom, and loved stretching out in the hammock, idly swinging while reading a book. Loved the daily, efficient, and friendly housekeeping service. Loved making myself an espresso to sip on the deck, enjoying the view, before going down to the dining room for the delicious breakfast with excellent service. Loved the time we spent relaxing and reading before venturing out to explore the island - great location for that! José and Luisa are gracious, friendly hosts, who clearly have put a lot of thought and effort into making their guests feel comfortable, pampered, and happy. I verify that they have been very successful at that!

This property is in a perfect location and the owners are charming and very attentive - Prestine and decorated with absolute perfection which represents the history of Pico so well. Comfortable and spotless. Every small detail is thought of. Absolutely loved our stay and already making plans to come back soon.

It’s very charming, nicely remodeled, private plunge pools, beautiful spa and absolutely delicious breakfast and dinner menu. We were treated with warmth, friendly and welcoming employees. We would love to come back and stay again. The experience was great! We had a 3 people suite with private plunge pool. Water was nice and warm and very private. We were provided with 3 robes, slippers, separate pool towels. Shower was great and spa treatment was very good.

There was one night during my stay at Sensi when I realized I was totally relaxed in a way that is rare for this working senior from NYC. And yes, it was this place, watching the sunset, listening to cool, mellow jazz on the sound system and enjoying a glass of Vino Verde. I loved this hotel. It’s a converted farm and the old stone walls provide the motif for a very chill vibe. I love the modern design touches….the dining room, bar overlooking the sunset, the outdoor area, the deep pool and the indoor warm plunge pool. Our room was off an atrium and overlooked the ocean although it was about a mile off. The room was beautifully designed. We had room 8 and will include pix. The staff is top notch, very friendly and eager to please. They work hard! No complaints. Highly recommended. The food at breakfast is everything you’d want and there are good dinner selections. I preferred eating at the bar because we did not have to have a set seating time. Enjoy!

Sensi was an absolutely amazing property. We loved every second of our stay here; from the inviting staff, unique tasty foods, and the sound of the birds on the property, we wished we could have stayed forever! Our room was a corner room with a plunge pool (heated) it felt very private although there was a family staying next to us with children who we could hear. Waking up to the sound of the birds was so magical! The use of the spa was also convenient at night; the mineral bath was very relaxing. The staff at the property helped us arrange airport transfer by a local taxi which we enjoyed. The proper is off of the beaten path but is well worth a visit. When we visit Sai Miguel in the future we will spend all of our time here.

Our stay at Sensi was unbelievable! From the moment we stepped on the property we were amazed. We were greeted by Sophia who did an amazing job giving us a tour of the property, including a history of the grounds, and how to make the most of our stay. We dined on-site every morning for breakfast, for dinner twice, and several times at the bar for drinks and lite bites. The entire serving staff was remarkable. Dionisio and Clovish (spelling?) were FANTASTIC bartenders and are masters of their craft. We highly recommend the Volcanic, Navigator, and Sensi cocktails! The plunge pool on the private balcony and getting massages on the same balcony overlooking the ocean were unbeatable. If you are staying on Sao Miguel, and want the best treatment and the greatest experience, look no further!

Pool is clean and large enough to swim. Water is not chlorinated which is a huge plus. There is s small bathroom with a shower next to it which is very convenient. There is also a small gym that we did not use. Garage is large enough for 2 cars and has a washer and dryer available for use. All bedrooms are spacious enough. Ambiance is very modern.

The house had everything you could want. The views and outside pool/deck were awesome to unwind each night. The three bedrooms upstairs and the one bedroom downstairs with the bathrooms and extra shower in the gym was helpful. The kitchen had everything needed for a chef and was well stocked. The owner and host were attentive to every need and communicated with us as soon as we landed. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The host Vera is super nice and very responsive. The house is big enough for my family of 7 with laundry which is a plus. Too bad the week of our stay was rainy and windy so we didn't get a chance to use the pool which has an amazing view of the ocean. I'd suggest this place!

I loved the upstairs balcony and view of the ocean! The bedrooms and the family rooms were great for everyone whether they wanted to read, relax or watch TV. Everything was perfect! The host was always available and very responsive if we had any questions or problems.

the house was very well put together, the swimming pool and hot tub were fantastic and very clean. There were loungers around the pool and plenty of outside seating. there was a welcome basket of local foods on arrival which was appreciated. The BBQ area and outside gazebo were great. The rooms were very clean and we really appreciated the towels provided for the swimming pool. the washing machine was handy and was put to use. Overall a brilliant house to rent for a large group of friends and I would definitely consider going back.

Location, staff, cleanliness are exceptional. I also appreciate the sauna area. The tea kettle was useful. Our room had a view of the ocean, mountain an city. Our room is in front of the street with the round about. We didnt here any traffic noise. I am happy with our stay.

The porperth is clean, nicely located, although i admit i was taking the car to go to the center. The staff was very kind, especially Andrea at the front office- she offered a lot of tips regardons restaurants and trips and was always helpful in the kindest manner.

The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! It's quite small and has a cosy feel about it. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious - 10 euros for an all you can eat extravaganza with all the trimmings. I also liked that they provided allergy information with the breads (I have a nut allergy). It's a short ride from the airport (the taxi cost us 12 euros) and has an outdoor swimming pool and a nice shared lounge area.

Very nice little hotel on the side of the city, close to the airport and harbour and centre of the city. Restaurants very close to the hotel and within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. We got coffee refiled and drinking water every day. The room had a small fridge and we could store cold drinks in it. Swimming pool looked nice, but it was just too cold for a swim, this time of the year This is a real gem!

Excellent location. It was very close to the center of town. It was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. They gave towels for the pool, and you could also take these towels to your day trips to the thermal spas. It was always fast and easy to order a taxie at the hotel. I will stay here again when I come back to Sao Miguel.

Everything was great, we always stay there when in Ponta Delgada. Swimming pool is really good and so is the location.

This is a beautiful hotel situated in a stunning garden! Front desk staff was efficient and helpful, making check in quick! They booked our dinner at the hotel restaurant and at another local restaurant as well. Our room had a balcony overlooking the gardens and geothermal pool. It was spacious and included an espresso maker, electric tea kettle, hair dryer, robes, luxurious bath sheets and towels for the pool area. We ate the garden restaurant and the main restaurant and both were delicious, with excellent service. Breakfast, which was included, was also very good. There was a variety of options, including a cereal and yogurt bar, hot dishes, breads and pastries, fresh butter, meats and cheeses. We were offered coffee and fresh juice at our table. The nicest benefit of staying at this hotel is 24 access to the gardens and geothermal pool area. Ticketed guests leave at 5, giving hotel guests a much less crowded experience. If you’re looking to enjoy a geothermal pool experience without a crowd, this is the hotel for you!

The mineral pool is exceptional, the breakfast is outstanding with many choices, hot and cold foods, fruits, yogurt, many fresh homemade pastries, fresh squeezed fruit juices, good coffee. The people who work at this hotel are exceptional. The bellman, the desk staff, housekeeping and there was a bit of construction (to improve the mineral pool) and several hotel workers were there to take care you were able to pass to the pool. (This construction is temporary). Everyone was exceptionally nice. The hotel has a huge botanical garden to walk thru that is outstanding. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The products are very nice and they loan you an exceptional bathrobe to go to the pool. It was so comfortable I want to buy one like it! I’m coming back to this hotel whenever I am on this island!

Beautiful hotel; great breakfast; nice indoor pool area with small sauna. Overall a lovely stay and we would return. It would have been appropriate however to inform us of the planned maintenance work of the thermal pool as it was closed when we visited. I was disappointed to be charged full price as the pool was the main reason we booked. The jacuzzis however were pleasant but it was not the same experience as advertised when I booked. We didn't have the opportunity to cancel for free either as we were informed of the pool closure by the hotel after the booking.com deadline to cancel for free. An approach which was not appreciated.

Very pleasantly surprised the moment we turned up at the front door. The hotel may be 4* but it was quite easily on par with a 5* we've stayed at. Breakfasts and dinner were a thoroughly enjoyable experience: no marmalade though, only honey!! We've been to the Gardens before and one of us had been in the Thermal Pool: you cannot help but be impressed with the Pool, especially after the public have left. As of September 2023, works are ongoing at the east end of the Pool, didn't see an expected completion date. Changing rooms, WC etc are at the west end. Thoroughly enjoyable short stay in Furnas.

Breakfast was great, coffee (self-serve, machine - the best way) was great, pool was great regularly cleaned, descent size and various depths, shower outside, sauna next to the pool, ocean across the bike path, 20 min walk to centre of town and a great beach, great location, nothing better to wish for!

This hotel is truly wonderful. It’s in a great location—close to town and just a short walk to Praia da Vitória’s central beach. The beach is also easily accessible on foot. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the staff is fantastic. We really enjoyed the breakfast, and all the facilities were fully operational—the pool, hot tub, sauna, and gym. The hotel is absolutely worth every penny. As for the negative reviews we had read before arriving—they didn’t match our experience at all. Everything worked perfectly during our stay. We’ve been to many places, and this hotel truly stands out. We stayed as a family with two adults and two children, and everything was very comfortable.

We had a phenomenal experience here! Everyone was super welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet which was included in our stay was amazing! Rooms (and the property as a whole) were really nice, clean and quite large. We had four people and didn't feel cramped at all. Plenty of space for all of our stuff. Good parking outside. Easy walking place to the nearest town and some smaller beaches. Nice pool with chairs, jacuzzi and gym. It was also super close to the airport and since we had to leave quite early to make our flight, this was super helpful.

The hotel was fantastic, very modern and our room was upgraded to a suite in two floors. Of course we couldn't use so much space but it was nice anyway. Bedroom very comfortable. The swimming pool was good and the hot tub very appreciated. The views to the bay are also nice (although half of the view is towards the commercial harbour). It's not far from Praia da Vitória (walkable). Staff at the reception desk and at breakfast was very kind, enthusiastic and available. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely come back again to this hotel.

Ilha Hostel and Suites was modern, perfectly located, CLEAN, quiet, centrally located but on a quiet street, secure and all-around excellent. Photos are accurate but, in reality, the space is even better than we imagined. Our room was available early which allowed us a quick nap to energize from an overnight flight. The other guests were friendly and shared information readily. The managers went way above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way. They lent us appropriate towels for the thermal pools, shared tips on parking that were right on the mark, and, engaged with us in meaningful conversations. They sensed that we were looking to find out more about their life on the island and they responded in kind. We feel like we started a friendship that might continue, especially if we able to return to Ponta Delgada. Great choice which we highly recommend.

Excellent location, modern and comfortable accommodation, with easy code access to the premises. Patricia and Helena were very helpful and super friendly. We were able to check in early as our room was ready, but they have lockers in the lobby to leave your luggage in any case. They provided extra towels for the thermal pools. Good breakfast buffet and great coffee. Obrigada por tudo! We would definitely stay there again.

I booked a bed in a 6 bed dormitory (only females). Ended up with only one girl next to me the whole week of my staying. Checkin is easy, they send you your personal code before your arrival so you can get into the building, your room and your locker (all these operate with code, but you get a card as well upon arrival. Also no need to bring a lockpad). The beds are well separated (one lower-bed on one side facing with an upper-bed on the other side, all having a curtain, little lamp and socket for charging your electronics). Room has AC. The bathroom shower is HUGE, you got big towel/small towel/stepping out from the shower towel and they get changed every 3 days. The room also have a sofa, a reading lamp and on the balcony a clothes rack (was super useful when I needed to dry my freshly washed clothes) with a chair. Staff was always super kind and helpful! Breakfast was great (although no veggies, they put out fruits daily ). There is a SPAR 2 min walk from the hostel and a pharmacy is really close too.

Pretty good breakfast. It's close to free street parking, perfect if you have a rental. Also close to a convenience store and other restaurants. And what 15 mins by foot to a mall. It's about 30-40 mins to Sete Cidades and Ilha Villa do Franca. The room setup is pretty good, there is thermostat for the room which is perfect for hot summer days, you can cool it down. You get fresh towels everyday. I slept well, considering it's a hostel, usually I can't get proper sleep when I stay in hostels. Staff is easy to communicate with. They send you info on how to check in, free parking, etc. I arrived in the evening and wanted to find a place to buy stuff and they responded quickly. Wifi is ok, not the best, but it works.

Patricia the host was so warm and welcoming. We loved her the moment we entered the property. She gave us all the required information before hand to ensure a smooth arrival and check in. She also gave us great recommendations of the island. The room and the property overall was beyond expectations. Everything was spic and span. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, and the property was equipped with all the necessary facilities. The breakfast was also good. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anyone visiting the island as it's close to the airport and the city center. We selected the Canadiano on the advice of a friend. I'm pleased to report that it was a very pleasant, comfortable hotel for our 6 night stay in Ponta Delgada. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were well kept. They offer complimentary breakfast for their guests. If you want to spend your days exploring, not trying to find somewhere to have breakfast, this is welcomed feature. We rented a car to explore the island and they have ample free parking. It doesn't have a great view of anything and it doesn't have a swimming pool. So if you're not planning to leave your hotel, this probably isn't the best choice. But, I can't image anyone going to Sao Miguel just to stay in the hotel - there is so much to see. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit this beautiful island.

Architecturally very similar to a classic Canadian Motel, but upscaled by several degrees of magnitude. Really excellent breakfast options including local food which you will rapidly come to love. Very quiet as many of the ceilings and walls are covered in sound dampening cork. If you are driving (which I recommend outside of the city) this is a perfect home base for exploring the island. Very easy access to the highway and you won't need to drive through Ponta Delgada much which can be intimidating. It's "between" to lively districts so you're near the action but not in it. Next door is one of the main bakeries for the city and they open up in the middle of the night so a late night walk home ends with fresh pastry. Visit the local bar just 100m downhill for a great first taste of Ponta Delgada cafe culture.

I've been there a week with my son. The hotel looks renewed and the facilities are nice, clean, modern. The room is large, clean, with balcony. Tea facilities, fridge, safe, and a powerful and big shower. The location of the hotel is convenient too, very close to the airport (~10EUR with the taxi, 10-15 minutes) and to the main attractions of Ponta Delgada and transports. We used buses for our entire stay, they are reliable and we reached many locations and beaches with them. A nice bakery just outside the hotel Breakfast is repetitive as it's the same every day and they only have 1 coffee machine, so at times there is a queue to get your drink.

Clean, quiet, well equipped, excellent buffet breakfast, convenient location. In short, everything I look for in a hotel with the added plus of free off street parking in a large lot behind the hotel. We were on the first floor and could not hear a thing from either side or above us - and the hotel was full. The ceiling and headboard are covered in cork - adds sound proofing and charm. City sights are an easy walk - we left our car in the hotel lot for all our activities in Ponta Delgada, and the location is easy exit from the City when you want to explore other parts of the island.

We chose this place for the central location and free parking. Both were great. The hire car was very safe in the car park and it was a quick 15 minutes walk into centre of Ponta Delgada. The breakfast was excellent and you can eat outdoors if there is space. Unlike other reviews we found there was always plenty of food and choice. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was spotless. The aircon was very much needed and worked well. The shower and bathroom were lovely and plenty of hot water. We loved our stay. It suited all our needs.

Everything is so clean and the staff are really friendly. Appreciated the aircon in the deluxe sea view room as it can get rather hot up there! Parking for guests was also a bonus.

A beautiful house with garden, swimming pool and a view to see the city and sea. Staff is very kind and welcoming, swimming pool is heated for winter so that's really great! Breakfast is great, quality food and good service. The shared kitchen is well managed, fully equipped, very helpful for cooking dinners. Gor parking next to the property, very convenient.

The welcoming staff was amazing, was really knowable, kind and helpful. Gave us good tips. I loved the swimming pool, it is small but you can still swim in it, and the temperature were about 37 degrees (as I was told) - it 18 degrees outside and a bit windy but was still worth it to swim in the pool.

It is in the centre of town that you can walk everywhere. The natural pools and the ferry are a very quick walk. You have a view of Faial and you can see the sunset every evening. A treat is the breakfast they layout every morning

Very pleasant, clean and comfortable hostel centrally located in Madalena town. Our double room had everything we needed, good beds, nice shower, ocean view. It is very central in Madalena, within a few minutes walk to the ferry terminal, several restaurants and a big supermarket. A beautiful natural swimming pool is also a few minutes walk. Nice sofa area to chill out. Staff was kind and helpful although they are not always there. But they leave their phone numbers in case we need to contact them. We always found parking space nearby the hostel too.

The location was excellent, pretty close to the ferry and main areas in Madalena. There were only tow people in my room which makes it more private. The bed was confortable and it is close to a pretty nice natural pool.

Great location 5 min walk to the ferry. Staff very communicative and helpful. I stayed in a private room which had a view of the water, very reasonably priced, quiet, clean. No issues checking in late when my flight was delayed. The common area is great for getting work done, fast WiFi throughout and they have nice pasties and good coffee in the morning This was a great find, I was glad it was available for the night I needed it as it seems to be mostly booked up

I loved the modern feel in a historic Castelo overlooking the ocean, marina, and city. Great lounging area with a pool and smaller sitting pool. Walking around the property offered cool viewpoints and a sense of a different time.

View was fabulous; room was airy and comfortable; breakfast was excellent; location was amazing - not only picturesque but easy walking to town, marina, restaurants. Small swimming pool fit the bill, and walking the walls of the fort was something truly exceptional. We went on a boat trip with the hotel's recommended tour operator to the Goat Islands - a small but safe open boat, marvelous visit inside a cave on the island and swimming in the blue sea.

Unique hotel for history fans like our group. It was really neat to stay in a historic fort. We loved the pool and swam in it every day to cool off in the August heat. Be aware that you have to walk up a large hill to get from town to this hotel. Being on high ground is to be expected when you’re staying at an old military fortification that looked out over the town.

The location; modern interior design in an old fort; breakfast selection was excellent; selection of toiletries: ; powerful hairdryer; beds were very comfortable; staff were very friendly and helpful; free car parking a big plus; everywhere was very clean; bedrooms were cleaned daily and the beds were exceptionally comfortable; a swimming pool; air conditioning was fantastic in our room.

It is stunningly beautiful, the views are dream-worthy, and it’s really meaningful to stay in this type of historic property. The staff is also great, as is the breakfast. The pool is really nice too.

A vision of paradise, one of our best stays ever. Part of the appeal is that of the Azores, with their perfect climate and wonderful scenery, but Jeiroes has a charm all its own. Roomy, clean, huge bed, all amenities, a veranda overlooking Madalena harbour and the nearby island Faial, with wonderful sunsets. A stone's throw from a swimming pool and sea pool. Secluded and very peaceful, but a short walk along the coast to downtown Madalena, which has a handful of restaurants and bars open late. Very helpful and considerate staff, which helped us to book taxis and gave us good advice.

Very spacious, well equiped, great views, great location to get to center of town and up to the best restaurants nearby. Swimming pool and natural pools down in front of the hotel a big bonus.

The property is located within walking distance of the ferry terminal, the wine cooperative and several eateries. The room with kitchenette, dining, living and bedroom was awesome - large and comfortable. The patio with table/chairs and loungers looking out over the ocean was superb. The AC in both living room and bedroom was heavenly. The location is steps away from the free municipal pool and protected sea pool - such a huge plus!

Very spacious apartment with a big private terrace right by the ocean. The kitchen has all needed equipment. The apartment is located just by a public swimmingpool and a space with natural ocean pools, which is perfect to relax after a long day. Walking distance to the center of Madalena and to the wineyards. Big free parking spot by the lobby. We really had a wonderful time her and would definitely recommend it.

Our family of 5 stayed in 3 different units on the property. We really enjoyed the patio with the view of the ocean and comfortable lounges, table and chairs. Everything was very clean and had nice furnishings. There was access to a pool and the ocean just steps away. We were able to walk to downtown Madalena restaurants, ice cream and the ferry terminal.

Private pool for the house, quiet location, very big room.

The property is immaculate at all times, they have cleaning staff who maintain common areas, provide towels almost daily, and refill water in the room. we stayed in the suite, as well as common rooms and felt that there was no discrimination of treatment. All guests are treated as you would treat family when they visit your home. As for the facilities, they have a nice kitchen that we used daily, 3 separated shared fridges, and plenty of shelf/cupboard space for storing food. They also have laundry service available, and a private pool with plenty of lounging chairs. 10/10 would recommend and would return.

The house provided a lot of different spaces for the guest. There were many different spaces to sit and relax… kitchen, back deck, around the pool, living room as well as numerous other sitting areas. The pool was lovely and would be great for a family with children or anyone who enjoys a swimming pool. We had access to a kitchen where we could store and prepare food and this was really well organized with space allocated to each room… so no confusion. There was a grocery store nearby. The house was clean and well-organized and the staff were helpful and pleasant.

The house is particularly large and interesting, with many rooms. We slept downstairs in the room with its own bathroom. The children slept in a room next door, where they shared a kitchen and bathroom with another room. Beautiful, spacious rooms with a shared lounge area next door. Outside, we also had our own table for dining. At the pool and in the huge garden, there are lounge chairs, seating areas, and dining tables everywhere. The pool was delightful in terms of temperature, cleanliness, size, and depth. Most of the time, we were the only guests using it. You can hear the highway, but it doesn't really bother you.

Everything was perfect. The accommodation was in great location. We had the room with shared bathroom. More than enough privacy, pool right outside the house and plenty of space for various activities such as barbecuing or playing football on private field. The staff was 11/10. We originally planned to stay only one week but we loved the stay so much that we decided to stay there one week longer and explore the island a bit more! Thanks to Julliana and Maria for their care and hospitality. You made our vacation so much nicer and we would love to come back! Jan & Veronica

Meillä oli huone nro 7 ylimmässä kerroksessa, ja sieltä avautui näkymä kaupungin kattojen ylle ja merelle. Pihalla oli siisti, pieni uima-allas ja aurinkotuoleja. Jos sää olisi ollut parempi, siellä olisi voinut viihtyä enemmänkin. Aulassa oli laadukas kahvikone, josta sai hakea kahvia milloin vain. Hotellissa oli vain kymmenkunta huonetta, joten paikka oli rauhallinen ja kodinomainen. Lämmin suositus!

My stay at this waterfront condo in São Miguel, Azores, was absolutely fantastic. The view from the condo was breathtaking, offering stunning sights of the ocean right from the living room. The property was impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean, making for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Its central location in Ponta Delgada made it incredibly convenient to access all the activities and attractions we wanted to visit. Whether it was exploring local restaurants, visiting historic sites, or embarking on outdoor adventures, everything was just a short distance away. The condo truly exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty of São Miguel with all the comforts of home.

It was so nice to find complimentary food provided - yogurts, milk, buns, coldcuts, cheese, butter. Saved having to go pick up basic necessities. Cold beer takeout available next door at the restaurant at very reasonable price; wine I'm sure as well - we booked for dinner the next night. The Coast Villa was very well equipped, comfortable and had access to a hot tub alongside. The seaview limited but across the street and a very pleasant walk seaside to the main part of PDL and main sights. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Stayed on 2nd floor with balcony and sea view, parked on the street. Comfy bed, extra heating unit (early March, only 12C overnight), kitchen with everything, found fruit, butter, cheese, bread, milk in the fridge...txs for that! Nespresso coffee machine with few pods, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, tea bags etc... Had dinner once at restaurant next door specializing in steaks (even in low season fully booked, very popular), gotta have reservation...but it's worth it, best steak ever!

Perfect seaside accomodation. Clean, modern, spacious for two people. Close to one beach and one swimming area. Rear entrance facing the ocean, easy access to the ocean. Nice hot tub in terrace. Quiet neighbourhood. There are two good restaurants on the same block and many more within walking distance. Ponta Delgada city centre is a 5min drive away. The host team is fantastic, very helpful and prompt. We loved our stay and book again.

There is no way that there is a better place to stay in Velas than this beautiful house with amazing views straight to Pico Island. The handover keys was perfect even though our flight was delayed by 8h. The house has everything you need (well, missed some olive oil for cooking hahaha). Room are spacious, living room is huge and the terrace with the views and the barbecue are just perfect. The house is a 1min drive to the main supermarket in Sao Jorge and parking is right outside the house. House is big enough to host 7 people with plenty of space. I really find hard to believe that there is a better place in Velas!!! And the biggest thumbs up for our hosts, because we had a ferry late at night and we could check out late afternoon, that was a huge life saver. Really appreciated.

We had the apartment in the basement, which was very quiet and had superb view on the Pico. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed - hot shower and comfy bed - and a parking space was always available directly in front of the house. The hosts are the most amazing and nice people, we arrived late by ferry and they picked us up so we can get some groceries done before everything shut down for the Christmas holidays - thank you for the kind hospitality!

The location is superb. You are very close to Velas and the airport while still having peace, quiet, and tranquility. The host was very easy to communicate with and very generous in allowing me in early and offering a later checkout than listed. The apartment is clean and the bed is very comfortable. I absolutely loved staying here and hope to be back soon.

Everything is amazing about Quinta do Passo: central location on the island with easy in and out, spacious and clean, beautiful surroundings with pool, outdoor shower and plenty of outdoor seating, villas are fully stocked for all your needs and many markets, cafes, and restaurants within 5 min of walking, plenty of towels for bath and pool/ beaches/ thermal trips… I could literally go on and on.

Great apartment! I appreciated the great communication from my host, Nuno - he provided all the necessary instructions prior to my visit & also made sure I was comfortable when I arrived. They used self - check in & check out with all instructions clearly explained - all went fine !! The apartment was perfect for a short or long stay - great amenities- all kitchen utensils/appliances & full size propane bbq. The weather was cool so I was not able to use the outdoor pool but in the summer months this would be perfect on a hot day!! I highly recommend & would would stay again !! Great complex with 3 units & close to the old town with restaurants & local people.

A wonderful small property with 3 villas with a nice pool that is constantly maintained. Nuno with show you the latest test numbers. There is a remote operated security gate 4 parking spots 2 on property behind gate 2 reserved spots on the street. A lot of thought went into layout and equipping the units. We were supplied local info upon arrival and also breakfast supplies. This is the only property that we have stayed in that had a manual for every appliance in the unit in a binder with local info. Almost forgot we were supplied with a phone for local calls Our stay was PERFECT!

Our accommodations at "Quinta do Passo" in the town of Ribeira Grande on the Azores were exceptional. Wonderful design, modern, well maintained, clean and all amenities available. Perfect location with yet private inner court with pool and amazing garden. Rear patio area and grill as well. Key pickup and communication were impeccable. Rooms were cleaned twice during our stay with a change of towels. Host, Eduarda e Nuno Costa got back to us within minutes of any question we had and resolved all inquires.

Had a great stay on our 9 Island tour of the Azores, our room overlooked the ocean and pool, all rooms were on the second for. The hotel is fairly new and well kept, room was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and the breakfast in the dining room was very good. The staff worked very very hard at making us feel welcome and comfortable, unfortunately, it appeared that they had a shortage of staff. Especially in the restaurant in the evenings. We had a long wait for our meal but when it came the presentation and the food was fantastic, it made the wait worthwhile.

Stayed there on a 9 Island tour of the Azores. The hotel over looked the harbour where there were building a new marine terminal. The hotel was built of basalt/ volcanic rock on the outside and well appointed on the inside. All room had a balcony and the meals were great. Although they were short staffed in the dining room of the evening the meals were very good. Nice pool with a view. Very friendly staff. Would have liked to stay longer.

Lovely room with beautiful view, breakfast, swimming pool

This is, at time of writing (September 2017) the only hotel on Graciosa. It's quite new, and I think that the unfinished volcanic stone of its buildings gives it a forbidding and dark look. But inside it's well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, but I can't speak for other meals there. The bar is good, and drinnks are cheap. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There' a pool, if you likr that kind of thing, and a kids' play area.

What an amazing place! Everyone we encountered in and around the Cabanas was fantastic! The cabana was beautiful and had everything we needed, including all the right kitchen supplies to cook several meals. It's a beautiful place with interesting history, an incredible view, and a wonderful restaurant on site, and I know they'll continue to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for anyone lucky enough to stay with them. And I just can't say enough about the team! We feel like we left Sao Jorge with new friends (Felipe!!) and we absolutely can't wait to return.

The owners of this property have created a beautiful oasis. This property has been in their family for a long time, and it was lovely to talk with the owner about that. The cabins were new, beautiful and relaxing. We could cook in the kitchen if we wanted to and eat at the restaurant on the property if we didn’t want to cook. The forest of lemon eucalyptus trees smelled heavenly. This was our favorite place to stay during our time on the Azores Islands.

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Cabanas da Viscondessa. The Cabana itself was perfect– fully functioning kitchen with everything you need, spacious living area, beautiful back deck, nice bathroom with waterfall shower, and comfortable bed with AC throughout. The restaurant was also wonderful to have on site, we ate breakfast and dinner there and had great meals. Ample parking space in parking lot, easy communication with owner and very friendly and helpful staff!

Ottima struttura. Dal ristorante si può godere di una bellissima vista sul vulcano di Pico. E dalle camere si può osservare la foresta che circonda la struttura. Gli appartamenti sono puliti e muniti del necessario (anche se purtroppo manca il bidet). Jorge, il proprietario, è gentilissimo e disponibile. Vale lo stesso per la proprietaria del ristorante. Purtroppo ho cenato lì solamente una volta, ma il cibo era davvero ottimo e l'atmosfera molto intima e piacevole.

Great, climatic place with absolutely great service and staff. For us, it was better than expected. Also good location as a starting point for visiting rest of the island. I'd definitely rent again if/when visiting Sao Jorge again. PS. Someone mentioned it's too dark, but I it has been fixed when we were there with additional little lamps along the way.

We loved our stay here. The reception staff are so helpful. They put us in touch with a lovely family (Miriam and family) who provide a wonderful taxi service all over the island. They are the best place to go for any advice. Food was very good. But the best part was the amazing views from the dining room which looks out across the swimming pool to Mt Pico. The clouds change by the minute and the sunsets are fabulous. Take your camera. You can sit inside or out. You get the same view from rooms facing the harbour. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a converted nicely Preserved Old historic building/fort, centrally located, on the main tourist street, and on the water next to the marina. Beautiful direct views of Mount Pico on Pico island. Excellent staff. Nice swimming pool. Rooms with nice balconies.

What a wonderful place! Beautifully restored 16th century fort right on the harbor. Every amenity, AC, big balconies with gorgeous views, perfect central location in town, fabulous pool and the best staff- especially Riccardo at the front desk who gave great help and recommendations.

Friendly staff, walking distance from airport. Spacious. My flight arrival to the island was very late and someone was there to greet me close to midnight.

We chose the place for its location as we arrived almost at midnight and we had to walk from the airport. It took us about 10 mins on foot from the airport. They were nice by attending us that late. It is an old building but they maintain the cleanliness well. There is also a bus line right to Praia da Vitória, a few mins walk from the house.

I liked the comfort of the bed and the overgrown garden. There was also coffee, tea and wine that you could drink for free. Very nice. 7 minutes walking from airport, very practical when there are no taxi's driving in the night and you just landed or have to go.

I checked in late for the flight arrivals late. The staff/owner came there to open the door for me right after I arrived at 23:45. Please write mails to the hotel in advance if you arrive late.

Proximity to airport which meant no taxi or buses to be taken - it is within walking distance. We landed quite late but the hosts were very lovely and had someone waiting for us there to show us around.
