I can’t say enough about this amazing and beautiful Villa! The views are just breathtaking! The Villa itself is spacious, clean, open and airy. The outdoor space is perfect! There are restaurants within walking distance. Gloria was so pleasant, attentive and informative. She was so helpful with any questions we had.

The house was perfect for our group of 15 people from several different families. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean and a good size. The outside facilities (pool, sauna, steam room, table tennis, fussball, etc.) were great for relaxing and having fun, and the sound system kept the mood. The outside seating was excellent for group dinners. The donkeys, horses and cows were great company, too! The house was also a great starting point for lots of hiking and running opportunities in the mountains. There were several restaurants in short walking distance that were really nice - Rusall, La Fagurida, and Al Veluu in particular. The small paths made it easy to get down to Tremezzo - although the walk up again in the heat was a bit much for some! Guiseppe was a great host and very responsive to any needs or questions.

Lots of space in this beautiful house, swimming pool and hot tub were very nice. Grounds were beautiful, loved the donkeys. Host was friendly and attentive, facilities were all great. We had an amazing time and would love to come back.

Podere Brughee is peaceful and relaxing. We were a group of 8 family and friends and all were so comfortable. The internet was good! Giuseppe was so helpful.

Giuseppe was a great host and responded to questions quickly and helpfully. The accommodation was stunning and the gazebo with sound system just brilliant.

Our stay at the villa was unforgettable. The panoramic view of the lake, sunsets and mountains took our breath away daily. The villa is spacious, very clean, and perfectly equipped for a comfortable stay, whether you’re a family or a group of friends. Even though the weather was spring-like, the warm outdoor pool with jacuzzi features made it a joy to swim and relax throughout the day. The kitchen had everything we needed, and both sauna and hammam were great highlights. I can also mention outdoor sauna with a view over Como and mountains, from which you can go into relatively cold plunge/shower also outdoors - and then back to sauna to enjoy the view and relax. The villa is peacefully located right on the lakefront. There was a barbecue area, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. Special thanks to Alizée for being so attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The sweets for breakfast were delicious! The only downside? Time passed too quickly — we truly didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful villa with lovely gardens in a quieter part of the Lake Como area. The beach and Onnolulu bar (for drinks and kayak rental) are just across the road. Alizee and her team do a great job of making sure that the guests are looked after.

The villa was well positioned close to the lake shore on the edge of the town. Only a few moments walk from some excellent restaurants and the beach. The pool was perfect for keeping cool whilst also being able to enjoy the amazing views. Our hosts were very helpful and the local guide was invaluable. They were also very helpful in accommodating our very early morning departure. Loved it!

The house was a great fit for our family! Everything was new and clean, well equipped the host was super responsive and nice. The location is amazing and the pool was the cherry on top!

The Town of Lierna is a perfect spot to relax and renew energy in. A lot of great restaurants and activity on a decent price. The view is amazing and people are friendly. This hidden gem of Italy is perfect for friends how want to relax, enjoy good food and go around the area on easy activities. The House is big with newly renovated rooms and air conditioning in all rooms. We were five friends that came and stayed for a week, we would recommend this house to groups that want to relax and enjoy all the best Italy has to offer.

The poor is lovely. The property is spacious. It is a 2 min walk away from a restaurant (il Crotto) and 15 min walk away from a supermarket. We stayed here 5 nights and didn’t require a car as the public transport is quite good.

The location of the villa was super. There was plenty of rooms/privacy and everything was clean and cozy. The communication with the owners was also 10+

The size of the villa was perfect for the 9 of us. The position of the bedrooms on different floors provided privacy. Also the location of the property is absolutely perfect, a private beach across the street, restaurants with in walking distance and if you’re hiring a boat excursion the walk to the dock is less then 10 minutes.

Fully private apartment in a unique villa with breathtaking views of Lake Como with garden and private pool. This apartment with full vacation compliance, air conditioning, brand new furniture and well equipped kitchen made our vacation just perfect.

We had the most wonderful stay and can't wait to return. The villa is beautiful. It's all brand new, completely spotless, fantastic amenities and the view was incredible. I would also mention that we have a baby and the cot was the best one we've ever been supplied with! All rooms have separate air conditioning which was great given the temperature was in the high 30's when we were there! The pool and the gardens are stunning - the flowers were beautiful and clearly a lot of thought and work has gone into making it perfect. Yes you do have to drive down into Menaggio but we didn't see that as an issue - getting there early helps with the parking but we never had a problem. For those with kids - there is a good park right outside the gate opposite the property and you can walk along to the ice cream parlour at the end of the road. All in all a wonderful stay and thank you to Samuel for being so helpful on watsapp and making great recommendations for our stay.

The Villa was awesome, clean and almost every room had a spectacular view! The view of the lake and the mountains were breathtaking! The pool was fantastic! The owner was more than courteous to provide sparkling water, still water and coffee upon our arrival. They also treated us to a bottle of Champagne and Red wine. The property was a gem of Lake Como, we could not have asked for a better location or a more beautiful Villa. The grounds were immaculate, Perfect! This place was a dream come true! We hope to visit again someday!

We had such a relaxing 3 days here, everything was perfect. The villa is amazing, the view from terrace is breathtaking overlooking mountains and Lake Como. Our beds were very comfortable, toilet and bath clean and cozy. Lovely backyard and nice outdoor pool. Very easy to get around by car, 10 min to the city center and local restaurants with amazing food and drinks. This property truly makes you feel like you are home. Thank you owners for such a lovely stay here at Paradise Villa. Will definitely came back.

Villa Principessa is in the perfect location to get a true local feeling of Lake Como. It is set on a hill in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of room. Our family was greeted with a wonderful welcome basket filled with snacks. The rooms were very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped for making an evening meal with the whole family. The house has impeccable landscaping and a pool you'll love to relax in. You can easily access the beach from a peaceful 4 minute walk on a secluded trail with a waterfall. At the bottom of the trail there is a hotel restaurant that has the most delicious pizza. Our contact and host- Deborah and Greta- were absolutely amazing! They answered any questions we had and were very accommodating with all of our needs including check-in, check-out, crib availability, payments, and any other questions we had. Deborah was quick to respond to all of our emails and was very easy to contact during the whole process. Her professionalism made all of our travel worries disappear! All of our expectations were met and you won't be disappointed with choosing this villa!

The villa is beautiful and has everything what you might need. The view is incredible and the pool as well as bbq is great. The town is less touristy so you have more space for yourself. However, it is 10-20min drive to all the tourist activities. It is only 3min walk to town and lake. It was perfect for us.

Fantastic view that you can't get enough of. The villa itself is very beautiful and well enough for 14 people! Everything was clean, enough towels for all guests, great guest gift, good communication before and during the stay and complicated check-out.

despite the driveway being difficult to navigate sue to its narrow entry and busy road, our family loved having our week long family reunion here. This historical villa has beautiful views and traditional furnishings which along with some modern conveniences was a perfect venue for us. Due to Europe’s heatwave, some of the smaller bedrooms were hot but we managed with fans and had the kids sleep on a sofa in the air conditioned master loft. The swimming pool was a lovely respite from the heat and after a long day of sightseeing! kids loved it!

This is a beautiful, clean, well-maintained villa and the views of Menaggio/Lake Como were truly stunning. There was plenty of room for our group and the photos on the website were very accurate. The house, especially the kitchen, were more than well-equipped with everything we could need to cook beautiful meals at home. Our contact at the property, George, went way above and beyond to help us when one of us needed medical attention (the hospital was a short walk from the villa), and George also helped us arrange transportation to the Milan train station at the end of our stay. He was available for any and every question we had, even in the evenings, and the attention and quick response time were amazing. We loved being steps away from the most amazing gelato! The ferries to Varenna and Bellagio were fairly easy to manage, though we spent a lot of time waiting (for the bus to take us to town, for the ferry to take us to Bellagio, etc).

Marie is a truly amazing host: she went above and beyond to make us feel completely at home. Everything we asked for, she did with genuine care and kindness (and a big smile!!). It felt like we were part of her family: a rare and heartfelt sense of connection that made our stay so special. The location was INCREDIBLE! From her home, we had quick access to several stunning hikes, and within just 15 minutes we were enjoying meals at amazing local restaurants. The facilities at the accommodation were also perfect: clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest detail. (Especially the beautiful place for breakfast and swimming pool we loved!) In short, this is a place we would return to without hesitation. This is the best place we have ever stayed. The location was great, with an amazing view, a lovely pool to swim in and extremely peaceful! We stayed for 4 nights and it just wasn’t enough time. There is so much to do here. The host Marie was just exceptional, so friendly, lovely and extremely helpful! She provided us with so many great recommendations, ones being the hike to the waterfall which we would never have known was there. She really made our time amazing! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

View from the bnb was amazing 👍 nice pool, beautiful room. Fantastic host- so helpful and kind. She provides so much information on taxis and restaurants etc in the area including phone numbers and links to websites. She helped us organise a boat tour. She left the key for us to check in early and even sent on videos explaining how to get in and where to find the key.

As we were traveling by train, thankfully Marie picked us up at the station as it is a long walk uphill to Villa Monte Blanco. The breakfast, with a few options was served on the patio with a view of the lake. A great way to start the day. Marie, the hostess, was always available to assist with all our questions and gave us excellent directions to do the waterfall hike. (Including recommending La Perla Restaurant for a beer and lunch on the way down.) She also suggested a day out on the ferry to Bellagio, where we had lunch, then a ferry to Vareena and a train back to Mandello del Lario. A really great day out. I am so glad that we found Villa Mont Bianco and booked it for our stay in Mondello del Lario.

A beautiful hotel where you really feel at ease, comfortable and very well looked after. We’ve stayed in 5* hotels that weren’t nearly as good. We had a fantastic room and our large, very private, terrace had fabulous views of Lake Como. We had a table and chairs and 4 sun beds, The suite had a bedroom and a seating area (sofa would convert into a bed for children) where we could relax. It was also very close to the pool so we could use our own sun beds and just pop over for a dip! The hotel felt very secure, as did the car parking. We were able to really relax and do things at our own pace. The staff were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and kind. They went over and beyond to ensure you had a wonderful time and we did, so much so that we stayed an extra night (in a much smaller room) and we are planning to return with friends later in the year! Very good breakfast and delicious light meals available in the evening. Thank you, La Perla, for a great stay!

Our stay at Hotel La Perla was truly exceptional. We were very pleased with the service – all the staff were smiling, helpful, and friendly. You could always count on them for support, whether it was ordering a taxi or assisting with small requests. We especially appreciated the room change from a terrace to a balcony on the day of our arrival – the staff really did their best to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious – every day there was a wide selection of both hot and cold dishes, as well as fresh fruit and cakes. It’s clear that the family running the hotel puts a lot of heart into the place and takes great care of both the facilities and the guests’ comfort. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and its location with a view of the lake creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a place where quiet is respected and you can truly unwind. We had a really wonderful holiday in Tremezzo it was a great location for getting around Lake Como and staying at Hotel La Perla made it particularly special. The family running the hotel were superb. They were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to help us with travel tips, directions, restaurants, well, everything. Nothing was too much trouble. Always smiling and creating the loveliest atmosphere. The location of the hotel is perfect and it is true that the rooms have a superb lake and mountain view. So too did the dining area. Our room was delightful and we had not just a balcony but a patio with table, chairs and sun lounger! The room and in fact all of the hotel was spotlessly clean and very attractively decorated. The pool was very pleasant and again surrounded by the fantastic views. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty to choose from and made most enjoyable by our charming hosts. We would highly recommend this hotel and staff and will certainly visit again! Grazie mille!

We stayed for 2 nights and everything about the hotel was perfect. Firstly THE VIEW wow just wow… Our room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a terrace with lake views which we woke up to each morning. The pool was lovely and refreshing as not heated but after a hot day sightseeing it’s nice to take a dip. The staff were amazing and would help us with anything like booking reservations or recommendations for restaurants. The location is in a nice quiet spot up on the hill and because we had a car it was no problem or if you’re super fit walk up and down it’s up to you. The hotel is in good location to ferry port for Bellagio or Varenna with parking close by which the staff are happy to help with. We would recommend staying at Hotel La Perla for stunning views helpful staff clean comfortable rooms lovely food with free parking.

I cannot rate this hotel high enough in terms of the owners welcome and total focus on customers. Every day morning and night they were there to greet us with a smile and to make sure we were happy providing local info and help whenever required. Facilities offered are excellent, wonderful clean and bright rooms with comfortable beds. All the little things like embroidered linen and tea making facilities replenished every day are so nice to have. The housekeeping is fabulous and We had the best breakfast experiences with incredible views every day and the food choice was great. Pool area is clean and lovely and quiet with sun all day long. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and loved being there. Thankyou for a wonderful Holiday experience. If I have to give one suggestion it would be for a bigger shower. Also, you do need transport to get up and down the hill but parking facilities are fine.

Everything was perfect. We had booked two standard rooms that were anything but standard. Huge rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and our room was upgraded to a partial lake view upon arrival which means we had a beautiful balcony where we could sit and have a coffee overlooking Lake Como. Breakfast had everything anyone could want and everything was fresh and delicious. The pool area was perfect - cool or warm water pools, lots of options for shade or sun, pool area or lawn. Pool bar had great food and drink and super friendly, fun and attentive staff. Location was absolute perfection - 5 min walk into town but tucked up on a hill to be away from the busyness of the main town area. When I saw some of the other hotels I had considered that were right in the middle of town, I was grateful I had decided on Hotel Belvedere - close enough to walk easily to restaurants and shops and the ferry - but an oasis away from the crowds.

Incredible facilities - the spa, pool and infinity pool are excellent. Lots of different spaces to spend time in, both inside and out. Fantastic views of Lake Como when sitting outside with a drink or at the pool. Staff were exceptional - friendly, warm Great food and drink offering - breakfast was wonderful, cocktails are fantastic Staff were incredibly helpful with great recommendations for local eateries and excursions - nothing was too much trouble. Cleanliness was impeccable, the hotel and its ground were immaculate and very well taken care of. Great location, a few minutes away from Bellagio centre.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Belvedere Bellagio for 3 nights expecting it to be a nice hotel on Lake Como. What we got instead was the most beautiful and perfect stay we could have imagined. We were lucky enough to have unseasonably warm weather which allowed us to sit by the pool and jacuzzi and on our garden patio facing the lake and just bask in the beauty of the lake and the mountains. The hotel, inside and out, is immaculate. It’s hard to top the views and the hotel itself, but the staff give those things a run for their money. The front desk and concierge staff (Annarita and Cinzia and others) were so helpful and patient with my changing plans. The restaurant staff was top notch as well whether at breakfast or our 3 times for dinner. Also, the pool bar staff (Oscar and others) were quick to provide towels and drinks. We also had a couples massage during our stay which probably was the best we have ever had. The spa area is very nice and we enjoyed the salt, ice, and steam rooms. We highly, highly recommend the Hotel Belvedere Bellagio and hope to come back to this perfect place in the future.

Staff and service were excellent. We stayed in the apartment side of the hotel which was nice to have a little kitchen and a bit more room whilst still being able to use hotel pool and amenities. We didn’t feel the need to brave the crowds and eat in bellagio too many times as the hotel restaurant was fantastic and the pool bar and view so relaxing and quiet.

A charming hotel, set back from the main street of Bellagio however, a very easy stroll to everything, including the ferries. After a very long day of trains, planes and automobiles (and ferries) I was greeted by Michael with a smile, a cold drink and escorted straight to my room! My room, on the top floor was spacious, well appointed and the king bed, very comfortable. Furnished in the “Italian style”. Accessed by stairs or lift. Air conditioner worked very well! The ensuite was well appointed (shower only). I had a wonderful skylight that had a shading system, lovely to have open of a night time and a Juliet balcony, with terrific views of the lake and surrounding neighbourhood. The hotel is set around a courtyard with tables and chairs and a magnificent tall tree. You can breakfast here or inside the adjacent breakfast room. At breakfast you had plenty to choose from, continental or cooked, with some delicious pastries. Coffee freshly made for you. Either side of the lane way was a variety of restaurants that seemed to be popular with the locals and so, not far to travel for dinner after a busy day sightseeing. Everyone I had contact with at the hotel were friendly, welcoming and very obliging, in a “family type of way”. As a solo traveller I felt very much at home here and I would love to return. Highly recommend

We found the hotel ‘Centrale’ online based on location, reviews, and the value for the money criterion. Now, after spending a week there, I am grateful of the people, who provided opinions, and want to add my ‘two cents’ by addressing the things that are a little less represented in the reviews, but make all the difference. Centrale has a perfect location, if you want to spend a few days at beautiful Bellagio, the hotel is a three-minute walk (literally) to the center and lake piers, a three-minute walk up to the main street, which crosses Bellagio all the way. The main thing, however, I wanted to highlight, is the hotel itself. It has the genuine charm and spirit of the lake Come area and Italy. Nice, lovely, not big, blossoming plants are everywhere. If you look closely, you will notice that every detail small and big was carefully thought through, beautifully designed, and functional. That is not surprising, because the hotel is family owned. You will be greeted with a genuine smile and a desire to make your stay here the most pleasant. You will feel it during breakfast or while asking for information and advice. There is an atmosphere of unobtrusive warmth and comfort around, which sets the stage for a perfect vacation. That is what we have experienced during our stay, and we wish you the same!

Love, love, love this charming hotel! Amazing breakfasts, wonderful staff, they were very helpful with email communication ahead of my arrival (they helped me with ferry and train information), and we lived the traditional style of decor - it is lovely! It is clean and quiet, the A/C works well, there are nice little areas outdoors to relax after a day of shopping or before bed after a nice shower. Grapevines cover a pergola on the second floor terrace. Lemon trees can be found potted nearby, vegetable plants and an olive tree. We love the gated entry and pretty glass doors throughout the building. They do have an elevator. My only suggestion if you don’t like hard beds and firm pillows this may not suit you but to be honest, everywhere we have stayed in Italy so far (Siena and Rome too) has very firm beds and pillows! Also, perhaps due to older plumbing, our shower did not drain well. We kept having to turn the water off while soaking up then turn the water back on. We did mention it to the front desk but it didn’t really improved but it never overflowed either. I would stay here again, nowhere is perfect … and the positive attributes of this hotel and staff far outweigh any small problems we had.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Centrale Bellagio at the end of August 2024. The hotel is centrally located, just a five-minute walk from the ferry. Like many hotels in Bellagio, reaching it requires walking up a number of steps through town, which is part of the village’s charming and historic layout. While this may be something to keep in mind, it also adds to the authentic experience of staying in such a beautiful lakeside destination. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, exuding a charming rustic ambiance. It features two lovely courtyards—one at the front entrance and another on the upper levels—both available for guests to enjoy. The breakfast selection was excellent, offering a variety of options. My room was comfortable and clean, though the shower may feel a bit small for those with a larger frame. Each room appears to have a unique layout, which I appreciated, as it adds to the character of the hotel. Lastly, and most importantly, the owners of this family-run hotel were incredibly kind and welcoming, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hotel Centrale Bellagio and look forward to returning!

Incredible stay with Mikaela and his family! Every time I emailed them, they would respond immediately. Giving me very specific instructions of how to get to Bellagio ( which saved a lot of time and money and agrivation.) Dave and I wanted to thank you all personally for a wonderful stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them at breakfast which was full and varied. Mikaela makes the best cappuccinos! The room and outside patio was perfect , really large with lovely views. We had friends next door who had the same great balcony and view. Mikaela is like a work horse and brings all our heavy cases up and down the many stairs with ease!😂 They even helped our friends with directions ( for getting to Rome and getting around!in Rome!😂) So ignore some unhappy people in these reviews . If you don’t enjoy this location, gardens, serenity , friendly smiles and attention, then maybe stay home! Much better price than larger hotels on front road which appeared noisier and less calming .( even though we walk at of hotels Centrale into the craziness of restaurants and bars etc.) Book early for best rooms!

Whilst categorized as a 3 star hotel, Hotel Garni Corona is anything but, and should not in any way put you off staying here. Yes, it doesn't have a pool, but very few hotels around Menaggio do, unless of course, you're willing to pay over £2000 a night. The rooms are adequately comfortable, are a decent size, and the bathrooms have clearly recently been modernized. We had a lake view room albeit with a small balcony, but big enough to sit and take in the breathtaking views of the lake, with Bellagio and Varena in view on the other side of the lake. By far the hotels greatest asset is it's location, opposite the lake. To the side of the hotel is Piazza Garibaldi which is not only incredibly beautiful, but also has an array of restaurants and gelato shops. Within a short walk is a large supermarket selling literally everything, and bus stops are literally a stones throw away, taking you to other towns, should you chose to do so. The views from our balcony, and our walks along the lake will live with me forever. I was incredibly impressed with this property and the service provided by the staff, particularly the team in the breakfast room who were incredibly friendly.

This was our first stop in Italy and our favourite stay. Menaggio is a MUST if visiting Italy and this accomodation is the place to be. Although the hotel is not very new and modern, I would definitely stay again due to the most incredible location. You are staying in the main piazza, facing the main lake. Beneath the hotel are two incredibly restaraunts where we spent our entire day just staring at the water. Would be nice for the hotel to renovation and upgrade their rooms however the location makes this so worth while. There is also a public swimming pool 5 minutes down the road which we found out about on our last day that we wished we knew about sooner.

The room and bathroom and bed was awesome and the towels. Great location. My brother and his wife stayed at more expensive hotel with a pool. But the rooms have never been updated

We loved this hotel in Menaggio! It was one of the lower priced hotels of our trip so far but it did not feel like it at all. The room & bathroom were very very spacious and the location was great. I wish we could’ve got a lake view room - but I booked over 6 months in advance and they were already sold out and I definitely see why. I am normally a Marriott property person and am very picky with hotels and we kept saying how much we loved this hotel. We also didn’t know if Menaggio was the best town to stay in and it turns out it was. The others were way too crowded and it was nice coming back here for a relaxing couple of days of our trip before we went off to the next city. Staff were all super nice as well. If we ever come back to lake como - we will stay here again.

Highly recommend. From the moment we arrived we could not fault this hotel, Michela went out of her way to get us into our room early after our long flight from Australia. Michela and Marco were a fantastic help with ferry times and restaurant recommendations, the ladies in the breakfast room (good Italian breakfast) were happy and keen to provide plenty of coffee, even the cleaners had a smile on their face 😀. The rooms were well designed, we had a little balcony and a view of Lake Como (room 207, recommend). Hotel has a lift. Easy 5 minute walk from Ferry. Recommend Cera restaurant which is in the same building, a bit more expensive but great food and service Cafe Del Pess. Cheaper but OK Can’t recommend La Gralla restaurant, over rated. Can’t recommend Hotel Garni Corona more highly, seemed to be well priced too, for the waterfront location, staff and amenities.

Hotel Villa Aurora was almost too good to be true. We drove up to Lake Como from Milan and from our first glimpse of the lake and mountains we were smitten. The hotel is on a narrow and winding hillside road. They have direct lakefront buildings, a lakefront terrace with lounge chairs and steps downs into the sparkling lake. We checked in at the main building which is across the street from the lake. We were provided keys and given information regarding everything that was included- kayaks, paddle boards, a floating water trampoline and a buffet breakfast. Our rooms were direct lakefront with floor to ceiling doors that opened onto a small balcony with a glass railing. The rooms were immaculate and modern even with the charming setting. We had a queen sized bed and a twin day bed in addition to two comfy armchairs and a table facing the lake. The room had a small fridge with complimentary bottled water, and an electric pot to make coffee or tea. They provided beach towels to use at the lake and a nice brochure with everything we needed to know. The bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. No tub, which was fine for us, but something to keep in mind if you have small kids. It had a very large tiled shower. The balcony had an automated screen and also electric black out blinds operated by a switch next to the door. After a day of sunning, swimming and boating we slept well and enjoyed a generous and varied breakfast. They have a lakefront restaurant for lunch and dinner.

A beautiful spot with gorgeous views of the lake and extremely friendly and accommodating staff! A last minute change to our travel plans meant we arrived later than expected, around the time the kitchen was closing - the staff pre-ordered us a delicious lasagna to ensure we had something for dinner, and helped us get set up in our room for the night. We woke up the next morning to an INCREDIBLE view of the lake, and a wonderful breakfast spread. A local bike race meant that the main road and ferries were unaccessible to us during our stay, but staff advised us of a lakeside walk and cozy stone beach area just up the road. A bit dangerous to walk on the road with the winding turns and traffic, but once we were down by the lake it was a peaceful walk with more great views to take in. Food at the restaurant was delicious, and the terrace was beautiful. Only criticism would be that we shared the space with a wakeboarding competition which took up most of the private deck and lounge chairs during our stay, but it did not take away from an overall excellent experience. When we had trouble getting to our next destination the next day due to more road closures, staff went above and beyond to help get us where we needed to go. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on the Lake!

Let me start by saying these reviews (like many things in life) are relative to the person providing the review and the person reading the review. One person's idea of an excellent hotel is different than someone else's. To give you a better idea of my experience with hotels... I've stayed in MANY hotels all over North America and Europe. (I used to travel for my job.) I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I have seen quite a bit. Here's the good and bad... Good: - AC in the room! There was a heat-wave running through all of Europe when we visited. AC was important. - Nice dock out front by the lake. It is not a "beach", as they called it. (I know; I'm from Florida.) - Hotel staff was nice and very helpful, particularly Christina. Bad: - Hot everywhere but room. However, as mentioned, there was a heatwave in Europe, so perhaps the temperature is normally OK without AC. - Not close to anything That's it. Happy hotel hunting!

Villa Aurora is hands down the best location on Lake Como. Nestled right on the water’s edge in the charming village of Lezzeno (10 minutes from Bellagio) . It offers an authentic and peaceful escape from the busier tourist towns. The on-site restaurant was excellent! Each morning began with a generous breakfast selection, included with the room, which we enjoyed before stepping out onto our small patio to take in the breathtaking view of Lake Como. Waking up to that view was simply unforgettable. Keep in mind, this is a small boutique hotel with plenty of character. If you're staying in the main villa, you'll likely hear creaky floors and the sounds of staff preparing for the day as the inn comes to life. For us, this added to the charm and authenticity of the experience. Highly recommend Villa Aurora for anyone looking for a serene and scenic stay on Lake Como, with warm hospitality and a true local feel.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel! The location was perfect (directly next to the bus stop, close to the ferry, 20 minutes from Bellagio…), the restaurant was INCREDIBLE (the food and drinks were delicious and the staff friendly), the breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, the amenities were so fun for the kids (we swam, kayaking, jumped on the trampoline, played in the floating inflatable island, lounged by the water, the room was. CLEAN and perfect for the 4 of us (large bed and 2 single), the washroom was extremely well stocked with everything from shampoo and conditioners to intimate wash for the bidet, the view was outstanding, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The receptionist has to be one of the friendliest and most helpful receptionists I’ve dealt with in all my travels (and that is saying a LOT)!! We will definitely be back!

Fabulous setting. The view from pool area is spectacular, as was the view from our room. Great spaces for adults and children alike; the ease with which our kids could move from the indoor pool to the outdoor pool to the beach and back again, all within a safe distance from our lounge chairs, really allowed us to relax.

Grand Hotel villa Serbelloni is an amazing palatial hotel located right in the centre of Bellagio where you can embrace the beauty of this hamlet! Just step out of the grounds and you have restaurants, artisanal shops and a strip for shopping. It is a villa of a bygone era with old charm and exquisite interior. Room with a balcony was spacious and had a magnificent view of the lake. It is truly top notch accommodation but well worth the fairytale experience! Service was impeccable and staff friendly and professional. Nothing was too much! Room service occurs twice a day and they are always accommodating. Staff could not be faulted and made your stay extra special. Buffet Breakfast in a ballroom is amazingly jaw dropping with its decore, abundance of food and quality professional service. It has an indoor and outdoor pool that are large and well appointed. The lounge area is quite regal and the atmosphere with a piano player playing gave it a touch of class! It did not lack facilities and included a spa space. Outside are glorious gardens and a bar restaurant to have an aperitive and snack in style overlooking the lake. Thank you to all at Villa Serbelloni for making our stay memorable and special!

Luxury enveloped by opulence. Villa Serbelloni is the definition of a grand hotel. I was fortunate to be a guest in this magnificent home. Our room was an an oasis. Linens were luxurious, bathrooms glistening marble, turndown service every evening. The smallest details were important; from doors being opened every time we came and went, to the delicate fragrance of the linens. Each morning, breakfast was served in the grand ballroom. We had an exceptional dinner at Mistral. We enjoyed sitting in the salon and listening to music in the evening. The concierge arranged for a private boat tour of Como. We very much enjoyed being there during shoulder season. Would highly recommend going at this time (March-May) and avoiding crowds that are undoubtedly there during the warmer months. They have a beautiful indoor pool and relaxing spa if swimming outdoors is not possible. It's always lovely having a coffee or a cocktail at the outdoor bar overlooking beautiful lake Como.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and we loved the pool and beach area. Breakfast was great, and we loved the bars on property- the outdoor bar terrace at sunset was perfect and we ended each night in the piano bar ballroom. We had a garden view room which faced a beautiful hillside and our balcony was huge. Only issue with our room was right when we arrived my husband sat on the side of the bed and it broke!! The staff quickly replaced it and we had a good laugh. The spa was nothing special but our treatments were great. Very helpful concierge made us dinner reservations, set us up with a Venetian boat tour and our airport transfer. We would definitely stay again!

What a AMAZING view! This is not a “fancy” room, and the hotel doesn’t have many amenities (like a pool or gym) that many other restaurants have. But this is my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was good size and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was awesome. Amazing view, great food and service with decent prices. The breakfast was 5 star. Same amazing view with a huge selection of great food, juices and coffee drinks! Did I mention the view? No road between you and the lake. Right on the water!!

Arriving in Tremezzina was like landing in Paradise and Hotel La Darsena was just the icing on the cake. I booked not having any real idea where to stay in Como and we could not have been happier. This adorable little boutique hotel has the most magnificent view from it's restaurant terrace and this was the main reason I booked. We had a loft room which was adorable and looked out over the lake. The location is perfect, Bellagio is literally a stones throw across the water and the ferry terminal is a 2 minute walk. It is so convenient. The slow ferry is about 2hrs from como but the rapid is only about 40 minutes. There is a beautiful park almost next door that you can plant yourself with a towel and swim if you wish. If you stay here, definitely take the ferry to Varenna, the most gorgeous town, you wont be disappointed. I was so happy we based ourselves here and was sad to leave this idyllic location. Do not base yourselves in Como Central, spend the day there exploring instead, any of these small towns North are much nicer. I definitely hope to come back. Bear in mind, this is a boutique hotel, you wont have room service or a kettle etc but you will feel like family and the rooms are generous and clean and so welcoming. The restaurant was delicious, one of the best meals we had while we were there. 10/10 recommend.

This was our family’s favourite hotel throughout our trip in Italy! The tall gentleman at reception was exceptional! He was so kind and helpful with figuring out transport to Lenno and Villa Dell Balbianello. Other staff were also courteous and friendly and we were never made to feel bad about our lack of Italian language. Location is amazing on the lake and within minutes to the Tremezzo ferry dock. Our room was spacious with plenty of room for our family of 4, and was very clean and smelled lovely. There was a window looking out on the lake which we enjoyed in the morning and evening. Bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower head. We were worried about making a mess with the shower head since there wasn’t a curtain so everyone just bathed which was perfectly fine. We thought it was so cute that the rooms have individual names. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and we still reminisce about the quality of the made-to-order eggs (different styles) and the best crisp bacon we have ever eaten! The continental spread was delightful with croissants, tarts, breads, meats, cheeses, and smoked salmon. Excellent cappuccino and juices. There are nice restaurants close by and Villa Carlotta is about 10 minutes away and exceeded my expectations. Amazing trip to Lake Como area and we would 100% recommend Hotel La Darsena!!

This is a family run hotel and you get the best service that’s possible in this industry. Just above and beyond!!! The entire staff is very courteous and kind. The room was well prepared with the additional bed for our kid, Breakfast was great and we loved their super fresh Mozzarella. Just wow! We were traveling in low season so naturally most businesses were closed and on one night we were stuck at Mennagio ferry terminal. We make a phone call to the hotel, they try to call a taxi for us but when that fails, the owner herself picks us up within minutes. The same repeats next month when we had to catch an early morning ferry. Just fabulous and the entire family is really kind and courteous. The hotel itself is located on the lake and away from hustle bustle of tourist towns like Bellagio. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets and the calmness of Tremmezzino. The villa Balbienello is at a nice walking distance and we took some great pictures on our way. Just, just beautiful! We will visit again for sure

I have been to almost 25 countries so far and this place has been literally the best place where I have ever stayed. Everything was so perfect that I feel myself more than lucky to have been able to find a place to stay here. The room, sheets, bathroom, floor and restaurant were super clean and quality (and also the bed was pretty comfy). Parking was no issue at all. You get a card from the reception and you park at a designated parking garage (2 min away by walk) for 5€/day, which is almost for free in a place like Como :) You can also swim for free right beneath the hotel for free. It doesn't get any crowded, so you can enjoy the lake in peace. Breakfast was eeeexquisite ☺️ Also staff was very nice and polite, too. I won't be thinking of any other place to stay when we plan a trip to Como for next time. Thank you very much.

We have been all over the world in hundreds of hotels and this was our favorite room ever!!! We had a suite directly on the lake and didn't want to ever leave our huge patio with private plunge pool. Breakfast everyday was wonderful but what stood out most was the staff!! Ria , Umberto and the rest of the staff treat you like family and take care of anything you need . Lezzeno is a quiet town, but it was so easy to get a ferry to Bellagio and other villages on the lake. We are very sad the trip is over. One of kind amazing experience !!!

Most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious with high-end appointments and warm, modern design. The hotel grounds are terrific, with an excellent pool, small beach area with lake access and a very nice bar/pizza restaurant. The staff are extremely hospitable. The crème de la crème of the entire place are the stunning views of the lake - from the room when you wake up in the morning, the restaurant at breakfast, the pool, everywhere.

Absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful resort. Stunning views from our balcony, great loungers and cabanas on beach, nice pool, marina for boat rentals, great service and staff, and world class restaurant. We really believe our last eve at Filo was the best meal of our lives. And there are quite a few Michelin restaurants in that pool. Filo definitely deserves a Michelin star and James Beard nomination.

The location on the lake has amazing views. It has a private beach and the staff and service were great. The pool has views on the lake and its water is always clean. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and did activities in the lake.
