Very happy with my stay! I was warmly welcomed by friendly staff, who kindly lent me some cash until I could get to an ATM. My room was comfortable and secure, and I particularly appreciated the cooking facilities and large water filter, which meant that I didn't need to purchase any plastic bottles during my stay. Rooms have a view of the little pool, which looks particularly inviting at night, and covered outside space offering privacy from neighbours. I really liked the tranquil location, set back from the main road and away from the hustle of Grande Baie but walking distance to lovely Mon Choisy public beach and various eating options. I didn't have a car but the stops for buses in both directions are just minutes away, and it was a nice surprise to find that bus #82 goes directly to Port Louis. NB: the bakery at the top of the road is definitely worth a visit!

The room was clean and fresh, had all the facilities you need for a great stay... water filter, coffee machine, kettle, microwave. etc The bed was comfortable and the room was made up every day which was lovely to come home to. We didn't book breakfast but I'm sure it would have been great, I thought it was expensive so we just used the bakery just a short walk away. We didn't get chance to use the pool but it did look very inviting

We really liked this location. Is about 4 minutes driving from the western beach (Mon Choisy Public Beach), quite big and good for swimming. The place was quiet, the breakfast was pretty good (especially the scrambled eggs). Also, you have a mini fridge and a kitchenette and you can cook something for yourself. We even tried the swimming pool (1.5 m deep) when the rain started which was an interesting experience on its own. Overall, we do recommend this place.

A great hospitality, accomodation, facilities and position of the house. It's nice to have a free parking in a front of house. Also possibility to use a transport with a local bus, because station is 100m far away from the house. Nice restorants, shops and beakery near the house. The apartment is a clean, lots of space with a nice small kitchen and a beautiful terrace and swimming pool. The beautiful beach is 10-15 min walking distance.

Everything was great! The hotel personnel makes every effort to guarantee the most enjoyable stay for their guests. Always very friendly and nice. Our room was very clean and spacious, the pool and garden area are really beautiful and taken care of. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread every day (only some vegetables could be also served). Great location, near to magical Mont Choisy beach. Thank You for making our holiday so nice 🩷

We had the most unforgettable stay at Le Méridien, Mauritius. Upon arrival, we were delighted to be upgraded to a Nirvana Luxury Suite – and what a dream it was! The room was absolutely stunning – spacious, beautifully designed, and offering breathtaking views. The highlight was our very own private heated plunge pool, perfect for relaxing in complete privacy. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Jane at reception, who warmly welcomed us and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. She truly made us feel valued and cared for. The resort itself is paradise – from the variety of activities and entertainment to the serene atmosphere, everything was thoughtfully curated for an incredible holiday experience. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and already counting the days until we return. Highly recommend Le Méridien Mauritius for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and world-class hospitality. We will definitely be back!

This was our selection for our honeymoon destination. On arrival we (me and my wife) were upgraded to the Plunge Pool Hideaway in the adult section, and I was seriously surprised with the hospitality of the staff and the service, breakfast was great, the dinner was more or less okay but still nice. The complementary sparkling wine and cookies in the room are always most welcome on arrival. We also received a few goodies as gifts. The honeymoon decoration was perfectly done, my wife loved it. The Nirvana section was excellent, our butler Jerome was simply amazing, arranged many things for us and keeping in touch, a big thanks to him!

We spent a total of 10 days at the resort. The service was very good, staff was very kind, but one of our allocated butlers was not interested in his job, so we had to fulfill all needs through other butler. Beach amenities were great, but wasps and hornets are a big NO at a place like this, we had multiple situations avoiding these creatures that seem to be living in sunbed roofs, and they are not bothered at all. Food at Jade restaurant was magnificient, especiallly at breakfast time. Desert and fish was trully great at Waves restaurant. Sports and recreation content was very good, except yoga class which was an imitation of what should yoga look like. Our appartment was 10/10 (nirvana plunge pool hideaway), and housekeeping was amazing. Music nights were nice, but it would be very cool to have matinee parties or night bars with a DJ playing, that would be a trully good addition. We had also fashion show experience which was nice.

Best place to be! We have spent 10 days at The Oberoi Beach Resort and we enjoyed it so much! The rooms are great: super clean, comfortable bed, plenty of space, very nice bathroom and the view is stunning! The restaurants do a great job: food is freshly prepared and very delicious, the drinks are super refreshing! The menu’s are for every taste. They are super flexible and ensure your taste preference and needs are met. We especially enjoyed the Restaurant ‚On The Rocks‘! The pools and beaches do invite you to relax and linger. The whole hotel complex with the beautiful garden is so well maintained and blends in very nicely with the nature of Mauritius - so much love and passion to details! The entire hotel team, from reception, over waiters to the housekeeping team and gardeners are outstanding: they are living pure hospitality & care, ensuring you have the best time with them! It is a beautiful, luxurious, well-maintained resort. The staff was so wonderfully friendly and attentive to our every need. They learn your name after the first meeting. In particular Shaan truly tried to make us feel special. He arranged dinner reservations, drinks, explained things and always asked if he could help us in any way. He was always present with a smile and good conversation as with all the staff. Checking in was seamless. We were greeted warmly with a drink and taken to our room where everything was explained to us. The food was exceptional. Especially at the On the Rocks restaurant. We came to celebrate our anniversary and, truly, they made it so special! From the bottle of champagne and snacks on our arrival to a handwritten anniversary card, a special anniversary cake which we enjoyed for a few nights to a rose petal bubble bath. Another great touch was the small tray with a washcloth and spray water bottle and glasses of water as you are on a lounge chair at the pool or the beach

The Oberoi staff really did their best - far beyond our expectations - to maximize our comfort and make our short stay memorable for long time. The chic and style Amanda introduce the room and facilities. Glasses of iced water arrive to adult pool sunbeds even before we think about we will need it. Club cars stand still aside as we approach them and drivers always greet us warmly, such as garden workers. Dinner ambient with live music and torches. Unique sculptures all over the grounds. Things add up and make so much difference! On top of that, Oberoi participated in publishing a high quality color book about the Birds of Mauritius one can read in the room sofa. Oberoi for us is equal to sofistication and unrivalled care. Thank you so much!

Food choices are great for vegetarians & Indians compared to other places and the taste is also very good. Their attention to minute details shows their class. Bathroom products are of Forest Essentials. Bathtub is also larger compared to other places and the feel of the bathroom is very nature friendly yet covered by glass. The boathouse offers complimentary snorkelling, glass bottom boat, kayak, hobie cat, water skiing etc. You also have the option of having breakfast in the pool! Obviously there is direct access to the beach. Grand Baie is also not very far (about 20 mins). The staff is also very warm. The resort is also less crowded compared to other resorts and you also get your privacy. Despite being highly priced it's worth every penny!

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel! The staff were wonderful! Enzo, Ankush, Cader, Shravan, Rama, Romeo, Ishika and Jonathan all went above and beyond in making sure we had a wonderful stay. We went with our 8 month old baby and they were really attentive to his needs and steamed vegetables for him each dinner. The view of the sea whilst having breakfast was absolutely stunning and having fresh crepes each morning was wonderful! We enjoyed the dinner set menus and the live music on alternate nights was a lovely touch. It was fun borrowing the kayaks and pedalo boats for free. The sea beach area was nice and serene and shallow, we would recommend taking sea shoes as there are some hidden rocks. The rooms were beautiful. We especially liked the junior suite with bathtub as it was so spacious. There was ample storage area, a four poster bed, a bathtub, huge shower and also a sofa/seating area. The infinity pool was really nice and often empty when we went to it! They also have a daily afternoon tea between 4-5pm with free teas and coffees and some snacks which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family!

My wife and I checked into Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel in April 2025. This is a fantastic location in Grand Gaube. The staff were simply marvellous, from the moment we walked in we were met by incredible hospitality. It was clearly apparent that the staff have been carefully selected and highly trained to offer the best service possible. My congratulations to the Management, they are doing a great job. From the reception personnel to the Restaurant staff to the housekeeping staff and gardening all the staff look happy, smiley and always at hand to offer help and advice. The accommodation was more than I expected, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The swimming pool was excellent a great place to relax. The Gym was more than adequate. The view from the Restaurant and bar was simply divine! Sipping cocktails on the bar terrace watching the sun set behind this vast Indian ocean is what it's all about. The restaurant offered a variety of food from traditional cuisine to Mauritian cuisine which is a fusion of Indian, Creole and Chinese dishes. My wife and I would definitely be going back again to this wonderful Hotel as soon as possible. My thanks to the staff for being so welcoming.

The food was delicious and varied, and every afternoon there’s a charming tea time with hot drinks and a generous selection of sweet and savory treats – such a lovely touch! Wunderschöne anlage nur die komunikation ist sehr mühsam zb sonnenschirm kaput und er wird 3 wochen lang nicht ersetzt oder knöpfe der ventilatoren waren alle 3 kaput wurden auch 3 wochen lang nicht ersetzt kauften dan eine zange und machten es selber..bei problemen ist man wirklich auf sich gestellt!!!! Klor wird massenweise in den pool geschüttet und das pulver ist dan auch teils auf den liegestühlen und um den poolrand.aber pool selber ist bisschen dreckig da sie den nicht gut rausputzen sondern nur kloor reinwerffen. Sonst war es sehr schön und man hat alles was mann braucht. Es ist auch kein hotel und desswegen ist der service auch nicht vergleichbar aber alles in alles ist es doch weiter zu endfehlen auch der gigantische pool ist wunderschön

The swimming pool was unique and very nice to swim. The view facing the pool was beautiful and location was excellent. I would recommend this property as it has a great pool and great service. I would give this property a 5 star rating and would like to be back.

This Hotel is wonderful. 20 of 10 points!! All employees are very friendly, work extremely efficiently and fulfil each wish you might have. We spent 10 nights in penthouse with private pool. Everything was luxurious, very clean. Employees are proud to work in this Hotel and you feel that. Everything worked perfectly. Also transfers etc, done by Maurijet and organized by the Hotel. Just great!! Thanks again for absolute great service.

We stayed here for 8 days for a relaxing getaway, and did just that! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The room was wonderful and spacious with a lovely sea view. They were very clean with a large shower and a huge round bath. Everyday we were delivered some fruit or canapés in the afternoon and every evening were given the next days forecast during the turndown service - a couple of nice touches. The location is perfectly situated at the quieter end of Trou aux Biches and is ideal for watching the amazing sunsets. The beach itself is lovely and the hotel offers free watersports and a ride in a glass bottom boat. I have to agree with other reviews that it is a shame that they don't have happy hour earlier as it would be lovely to sip one (or two!) while watching the sunset. What we loved most about the hotel was the service of the staff, it was attentive but without the stuffiness. Every day they would go out of their way to come and have a friendly chat and to make sure that we were ok. On our last day, Samantha made a special effort to come and find us to say goodbye before she headed off home - we felt like we were leaving friends. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough. We would love to come back and stay again!

Quand nous sommes arrivés, il n’y avait pas de chambre pour nous. Les raisons expliquées par la direction n’etaient absolument pas crédibles. Nous avons eu une chambre pour 1 nuit dans l’hotel en face qui est un 3 étoiles avec des chambres vetustes et bruyantes. En compensation, nous avons eu le repas de midi. Ma sœur est arrivée une semaine après nous, via expédia, et même chose ! Exédée par cette pratique, je me suis entretenue avec le directeur qui n’a pu expliquer clairement le pourquoi de cette situation. Ma sœur et moi même avons reçu de nouveau un repas de midi + un massage duo, en compensation. La compensation était cette fois plus correcte mais la Direction n’a pas admis l’overbooking et a continué à nous prendre pour des idiots avec des explications foireuses. Pourquoi nous ? Alors que des nouveaux clients sont arrivés 2 heures après ma sœur et eux ont eu directement leur chambre ! Est ce parce que nous avons réservé via Expédia ? C’est vraiment dommage car tout est parfait dans cet hôtel si on a la chance d’avoir directement la chambre qu’on a réservée et payée longtemps avant !

We wanted a quiet stress free break and were so glad we chose here. Everything is high class, the room, the beach, the food. We didn't eat dinner here every night but when we did, the chef made excellent curries on request for my vegetarian wife. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely interested in you. The almost private beach - with security guard - has to be one of the best on the island, and water sports are included in the room price. With only 13 rooms, this 6 year old hotel is a quiet oasis - perfect for us, but maybe not if you want a more lively scene. We will return!

I really enjoyed my stay at Wonders Beach Hotel! The location is fantastic ,just steps away from the beach, and close to local restaurants and shops. It was so convenient to explore the area and still come back to a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was a real treat. There was a nice variety of fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and local dishes. Everything was well-prepared and served in a lovely setting, sometimes with a view of the ocean! The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with a great breakfast to start the day.

We loved our stay here - it was a calm and quiet boutique hotel, and the experience felt luxurious. The staff were kind and went the extra mile to accommodate us. The food was tasty. The location was ideal - we had rented a car to get around which helped. If you want a calm and relaxing experience, I would certainly recommend. We also had a massage and it was excellent!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, attentive and always on hand to help. Facilities were great and the spa staff are wonderful, we ended up going back twice for treatments! Taxis can be arranged for you at anytime which is helpful as there is no capacity for walking near the resort. It would have been helpful if the pool was cleaned on a regular basis, we had to do this ourselves with a net, however professional cleaning would have been better. Towels should have been replaced on a daily basis and on some occasions they were not - same with the shampoo/shower gels. However this was rectified once we raised the matter with reception. Breakfast was served every morning. In summary we had a great stay and couldn't fault the place, will definitely be back and would recommend to any families / groups visiting Mauritius.

Love the place and the hospitality. Really clean, elegant, luxurious and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and cooperative. The place is so quiet and isolated but not good for walking around. If you wanna buy something you need to drive and there is a big mall and nice tourist beach area within few minutes of the place. A plus is that the resort offer a shuttle. So, If you are looking for a place to relax privately and quietly, this is the place.

The facilities team could not have done more to make our stay better. The villa was lovely, decently equipped and really private and relaxing. Close to shopping and lots of beaches and restaurants you do need a car to get around there is a patisserie and a couple of restaurants that you can walk to

Excellent stay at Corail Bleu Private Pool & Garden Villas by LOV. Very comfortable villa, nice pool area. A couple of kilometres from shopping area, either walking along the beach or roadside. A couple of beaches close by. One is approx. 1 kilometre from the property, the other is situated close to the shopping area, which is lovely for children as it is shallow and debris free. Lots to do and see on the island and plenty of beaches across the island to visit.

The house is beautiful and clean with all the necessary amenities. The pool, privacy, and security are excellent.

The neighbourhood is quiet and also the Villa is in a gated area with electric fence and cctv camera surveillance making your stay safe and the cleanliness of the Villa and its yard is perfecto!.

I booked this for my friend who lost her family 2 months ago...they had a great time with family and looking to go back in October

The Villa Des Iles is situated in the fantastic location on the Northwest coast with a great little beach no more than 150 metres away. Garry and Stacy are the best hosts and the communication was superb from the start - bearing in mind we booked this villa back in 2019 just before Covid, Garry was so flexible changing the dates due to the Mauritius boarders not being open. Garry was also able to provide contact for car hire which was excellent. whilst at the Villa nothing was too much trouble and the small issues such as an old sticky frying pan was quickly replaced. The villa it’s self is spacious and has everything you need with a great pool which is cleaned every 2 days by Guillame the pool come handy man, our family had a great time many thanks

The communication with the host was excellent, they were waiting for us for a late check in. The villa is superb, very spacious and clean. And it is very near the beautiful Trou aux Biches beach.

Vivek is an amazing host. He contacted me shortly after the booking was confirmed and offered his assistance and guided me through the whole process. The villa in itself is very beautiful. A contemporary style villa with a huge garden and slate pool.. the place is quiet, peaceful and yet close to all facilities (restaurants, supermarket, beach, etc..). The villa is really big and can be the ideal place of dwelling of a family of 6 or a group of friends for an exclusive holidays in the North of the island.

So very clean and smelt beautiful as we entered. Vivek was in contact with me prior to our arrival. After mentioning it was my nephews birthday we were surprised with a cake. Check in was smooth and 2 days were not enough. The villa is situated in a very quiet neighborhood which suited my family for the peace and rest. The villa itself is furnished beautifully and is very comfortable. The garden is beautiful with a Lovely pool.

The Villa had an amazing pool and the house was very clean. Some basic groceries were available on our available making things easier for us

We had a fantastic stay at New Villa Geranium. Mr Veerapen was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. The house is comfortable and spacious and the outdoor space and pool is lovely to come back to. It’s a 5 min walk to La Croisette Mall for the supermarket, shops, a food court and buses. And a 5 min walk the other way to the coast road as well which will take you to various bars and restaurants. Mme Kiran does an excellent job of cleaning every day.

The Villa is awesome, very big, always clean and located quite close to the sea and to the mall, the pool is simply fantastic! The owner Mr Veerapen is very very kind and always available for everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay in Mauritius and we will come back for sure in the summer season. Thank you Mr. Veerapen, you’re a great host!

The villa is huge with a generous terrace for a BBQ and a perfectly maintained garden with a swimming pool. The place is nicer in reality than in the photos. The host was always helpful and fulfilled everything to our satisfaction. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was amazing, and so was the host/owner. He allowed us to do early check in, checked up on us every few days via text. He was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We were 5-10 minutes walking distance to La Croissette shopping center, and 15 mins walking distance to the Main Street in Grand Baie. Very convenient and would highly recommend. When I return to Mauritius one day I will definitely look to try and book this same place. My family of 5 and one of my cousins from the island stayed with us and we all absolutely loved it.

The interior of the house was very luxurious. Large kitchen, very spacious living room, 3 large bedrooms (2 on the first floor) with ensuite bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and excellent beds. The pool is large and in a very nice courtyard with palm trees. The service provided by the agency was perfect and the owner Madame Yvette always has an eye on the well-being of her guests We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our time there

My first trip to Mauritius. Wow, Blue Rawal far super ceded my expectations. The check in was easy. The staff brilliantly amazing. We got upgraded to a Suite. The owner was brilliant, super friendly, he did not want us walking to our destinations and gave us lifts to the beach etc. Our every need was catered for. They have everything you need. My mum Mrs Reddy was so amazed as i have never ever received such good treatment like this. They organized tours that suited our pockets. Our favorite person at Blue Rawal is Peter "the Kenyan". He made himself available to answer all our questions even when he was night shift and supposed to be sleeping. The entire residence is super clean, hygiene and friendliness definitely at the top of their list. I am so glad that i booked at the Blue Rawal Residences and i have absolutely no regrets. We will definitely be going back here and i will tell all and sundry that this accommodation is the best. The owner even offered us a lift to the airport, now that is awesome service

My daughter and I spent a month at Blue Rawal, and it truly felt like home from the moment we arrived. Right after our first reservation, Jessica reached out and provided us with all the necessary information. She stayed in contact with us even after our arrival to make sure everything went smoothly. The welcome was warm and friendly, and everything was exactly as described in the listing. Jessica and Patrick were always available via WhatsApp throughout our stay and were happy to assist with any questions. The villa is located less than 1 km from the sea, and there are many great restaurants, a supermarket, a bakery, and other amenities nearby. If you’re looking for a luxurious villa in a quiet setting with professional and attentive hosts, this is the perfect choice.

We like the fruit trees and garden. And they were taking well care of the swimming pool. A very quiet area.

Amazing size, private swimming pool, very secure and free private parking. Hosts were very friendly and flexible. Communication was excellent and would highly recommend. Had every facility and was well maintained.

We stayed 11 days in this villa and were extremely satisfied. The location is excellent, and the privacy we had in the garden and the house itself was very important to us – and we truly had it. The villa is equipped with everything you might need. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning, which is essential, as the heat and humidity can be quite unbearable, especially at night. Many thanks to everyone who helped make our stay even more enjoyable.

We loved the swimming pool, the terrace, the BBQ. The swimming pool was the perfect size and depth for our young children aged 2 and 4. The room layout and having an ensuite in each bedroom was a real bonus. The security was very good. The host, Luvish, was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay. The facilities were great, including a dishwasher, washing machine and drying racks. The villa is a 15 minute walk to the coast which was manageable with 2 small children. We recommend a hire car for ease, driving in Mauritius is easy, petrol is quite cheap and parking is free everywhere.

The Villa is in a quiet position, well equipped and very comfortable. I recommend it.

Accommodation was very good and the host was most responsive to all of reasonable requests. He was most welcoming throughout our stay there. He was ever so pleased to help us make good choices of amenities in the neighbourhood.

Our stay at Blue Palm Villa was excellent and the property was truly beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mauritius staying at this villa and would definitely recommend hiring a car for your time here as you will want to explore the island and will need it to get to the restaurants and beaches in the area. The pool area at the villa was really well kept and it felt a real luxury to have such a lovely pool to ourselves. The little added extras from Luana were great, including the wine and beers left for us in the fridge and we made use of the bean-to-cup coffee machine every single morning - thank you! We found it really easy to relax and switch off here as it was so peaceful and quiet, something you may not experience as much at a hotel. All in all we had a really great stay and would recommend anyone to stay at Blue Palm Villa!

Everything was beautiful and just as pictured, if not better. The owners were extremely helpful and went above and beyond, the pool and garden were exceptional and we highly recommend to all. All the recommendations for places to eat and visit were spot on which greatly improved our holiday experience. It really was a delightful escape for us and a sanctuary away from real life in which we could fully relax and recharge.

The description of the property left we wondering if there was only one bathroom, but I was relieved to find that there were 3 bathrooms. The property was well located and though labelled as Mon Choisy, it is actually closer to Trou aux biches which is an excellent beach and within a 3-5 minute stroll. The area seemed safe and the security features of the property with locked gates and alarm helped to inspire confidence. The property was fine for the 2 families that stayed for 3 weeks and everything important worked well. There was enough space for all 11 of us to be comfortable and the TVs worked well , with really excellent wifi and internet. The hosts were incredibly responsive and keen to ensure that our stay was smooth and relaxing. The weekly cleaning visit was much appreciated. There were lots of plates, cutlery cooking pots etc and self catering for the 11 of us was fine.

I had a fantastic stay at this property! It was impeccably maintained, secure, nice setup, beautiful deco and spotlessly clean. We got an upgrade to a three bedroom villa with a private pool. The service was very friendly and the rooms were spotless. The resort is right on the beach. The beach was amazing with powdery white sand and aqua blue water. Lots of water sports to do (water skiiing, tubing, parasailing, sailing, paddle boarding, snorkelling). Everything was superb. Great kids club. Highly recommend it!

The hotel was at the perfect, picturesque location of Trou aux Birches - my wife and I were 'wowed' by the scale of the resort when first arrived and how immaculate it presented (the sun probably helped!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was big, homely (with a private pool) and with good lighting. We had a honeymoon package, which meant breakfast, lunch and dinner were taken care of, so we didn't end up spending too much more. Food was very very good, and in our case included already (though not really the point here), we can definitely say we never had a bad meal during our stay (4 days / 3 nights). A quick word about their Beachcomber shop - very nice and upmarket and hwere we have purchased some very good memorablia to end our amazing trip at Mauritius. Finally, I'd like to also use this opportunity to extend my thanks to all the staff (reception, housekeeping to waiting staff), thank you so much for making our trip so memorable - a memory to last a lifetime. All the best.

Lovely stay, although not cheap, especially the buffet restaurant where quality, choice and standard not quite up to that of a 5* resort hotel. I did give feedback and suggested on demand cooking with a 'stir fry' station & making crispy fried duck in pancakes on demand, as left cold with very little duck inside. This hotel does not cater for B&B well, with very few snacks available other than room service if a full evening meal wasn't needed. Indian buffet was excellent, and would expect it with the Indian staff as were the 'a la carte' restaurants. Scuba centre very well maintained, although considerably more expensive than those on the beach, but convenient. Grounds wonderfully maintained with each hub of rooms having their own heated pool, taking pressure off the main pool. Spa lovely, but again expensive, and with a cold swimming pool - better to heat during their winter period.

Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber redort is the prettiest, friendliest high end resort I have ever stayed in. It more than lived up to my expectations. We stayed in ghe Senior Beach Front Suite which was beautiful. Pool is not heated but gets hot sunbathing on your own deck that you soon enjoy dipping in to cool off. La Caravelle restaurant was our favourite place for breakfast and lunch. Menon looked after us so well he deserves a special mention. Italian resaurant our favourite in the evening. Two of the 6 rectangular swimming pools are heated one was near our room so we enjoyed a morning swim before breakfast. The resort is emaculately kept. Very attractive. I love to walk along in the sea and the only draw back at low tide times was the amount of broken coral along the beach. Luckily you could wait for tide to just come in a bit while sunbathing on the beach front. Hawkers are very respectful and if you say no thank you they accrpt it anx wish you a good day. Love love loved this resort.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, will definitely return. We had a hot tub room overlooking the sea and it was worth the extra cost. Breakfast at the buffet was all you needed, lots of cold food, breads, meats, cheeses etc plus the usual English breakfast and fresh made omelettes, waffles, French toast and lovely fresh fruit. Lunch was either taba-j street food, curries, rice, noodles, BBQ meat or a huge buffet in the main restaurant, both are excellent. They have a 3.30pm afternoon tea at the ‘happy corner’ usually pancakes, sliders, biscuits, sausage rolls etc. Dinner was also fantastic, so much choice in the buffet, plenty to choose from even if you’re a picker eater like me! They have free water stations dotted around the hotel so bring a refillable bottle. They also have free eco friendly sun cream! Beach towels are provided and changed daily. There are 3 main areas all within 5 mins walk max, the local zone, quiet chill zone with 2 pools and the lovely zone around the main pool. Plenty to do if you want, outdoor gym classes. Pool tournaments, volleyball, aqua aerobics, pedalos, kayaks. All included in the price. Top tips, do the welcome tour so you know all the facilities. Book the Kot Nou and Coral restaurants they’re both excellent. Try the taba-j street food and the coconut desserts. Take the snorkelling tour it’s only 10mins away by boat and in calm waters. Do the free cooking class, it’s fun. Hire a car and go to Le Morne beach for a day. Stunning!

This is a great resort at good value. Not the newest or luxurious rooms, but comfortable and superb location. Pools are great, you can find different spots along the coastline, eating is good (not excellent, but linked to what you pay). Mixed group of tourists makes it fun, service is great, lots of willingness. Nice that you can go snorkel, windsurf, pedalo kanoe, feom your doorstep for free. We booked our own taxi driver/guide for a few days, good value. Points which can be improved: Cocktails - bit more specialist skills needed ;-) Toppers on the bed... Coffee at breakfast, please install some fresh bean machines! We will be back!

Incredible service, nice pools and beautiful beach. Especially having an own boat house and offering cruises was wonderful. Once we didn’t have warm water in the shower and the staff instantly took care about it and was super helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends and family for a visit!

Very lovely hotel with great staff. We experienced a period with a very unisual amount of rain but enjoyed the stay anyway. The Coral restaurant has excellent food, and a very friendly staff. The pool area and bar next to the Coral is very nice. The Beach is more a waterfront, and as situated in a lagoon, the water is not as clear as on other beaches. The snorkling trip to the Coral reef ( and also the class buttom boat trip is highly recommendable. The Coral reef out there has a huge diversitet of corals and fish.

Vi åt lunch några gånger och jättegod mat dock kanske lite onödigt dyr men är ju ofta så på hotell. Bra läge med gångavstånd in till Grand Baie med många restauranger! Fanns även ett gym som var fräsht. Vi skulle absolut vilja bo här igen och kan rekommendera det!

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Zack was a great Barman and whipped up some amazing cocktails The lady cleaning our room made us towel animals everyday and left our room perfectly clean. Morgan in dining area was very friendly and helpful a positive young man. Ajay was help with ensuring we stayed hydrated by the pool. The bell boys we’re always smiling and helpful. Henan And her team at the from counter always smiling and provided us with some great advise and help. Megan in the gift shop was also very helpful and such a happy person. The pool was great to swim in and the boat shed team were very helpful.

We arrived 6 days after the hotel had reopened following its refurbishment. It was a shame we weren’t offered early check-in as we arrived at 10am, and although check-in was 2pm, our room was not ready until 5pm as there was a mix up. However, once in our ‘privilege’ room, we were very impressed with how beautiful, modern and spacious it was. It was cleaned to a high standard every morning and we had a turndown service each evening. We loved the different towel art! It was obvious that the hotel was not finished when we arrived, furniture and plants were missing, and minor work was taking place across the duration of our stay. By the end of our stay, the finishing touches were almost complete, and the hotel and its decor throughout looked absolutely stunning. We were also very impressed with how clean the entire hotel was. The infinity pool and private beach were picture perfect. Fresh beach towels were provided each day on the sunbeds. The dining room was spacious and had amazing sea views. We felt very safe in the hotel as it had plenty of security. Being able to go on the glass bottom boat, use the kayaks and use the stand up paddles was amazing - thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious buffet breakfast which had so many options, as well as the drinks selection, fruit bar and evening entertainment. The hotel had so many staff available at all times and they were very friendly and chatty. We would particularly like to thank Eric, Jensen and Alix for looking after us.

This hotel was a super choice for a holiday. Location was good, close to town centre and shops. The layout of the hotel was good-we were in a quiet area away from the pool, overlooking the garden which was well maintained, as indeed the whole hotel was. Our room was spacious, most comfortable and cleaned daily and had small flower arrangements left frequently on the bed. Overall, the staff in this hotel could not do enough for guests, they were truly fantastic. We stayed on All Inclusive for part of our holiday, and the food was of a good standard, changing every night and the entertainment was good-not too in your face. I cannot fault this hotel again, in any thing, and if we return to Mauritous again, we will definitely stay in the Veranda

Rishi in the restaurant was amazing and catered really well to my vegetarian needs he took me to all the stations and introduced me to the cook and said I could have anything prepared. Staff at check in were lovely and friendly. The rooms are set out really well with a separate room for luggage so it keeps a nice peaceful atmosphere in the bedroom. Plenty of sun loungers, the pool was well maintained. Balram was amazing too a great fun gentleman who really helped us a lot. The excursions offered within the cost of the stay were great fun such as the snorkel trip. Ultimately the surroundings but the staff were what really made this stay special.

The staff is really genuinely friendly, always available and ready to help. The manager arranges everything necessary to make your stay pleasant. He is always in a good mood and loves to help. He gave us a lot of good advice about beaches, food, markets, excursions. He also arranged for us to get fresh coconut in the morning! On the last day, we could stay in the villa until 16:30, which meant a lot to us with two small children. He arranged transportation from and to the airport, all without any problems. Despite the delay in arrival, the flight was monitored and arranged professionally. The cleaner is friendly, always smiling and precise in her work. The view from the villa was dreamy. Despite the fact that the beach in front of the villa is not suitable for swimming (we knew before arrival), the view from the terrace and the living-kitchen area is something that I would happily look at every day, for the rest of my life. It's great because the villas have a pool surrounded by beautiful palm trees. The pool also offers a wonderful view of the ocean. Since we were visiting the island for the first time, we were worried that the chosen location was not the most suitable. In the end, we found it to be ideal! There are some of the most beautiful beaches nearby, and everything else is within reach if you rent a car. Our advice: ask the manager as much as possible! His advice is really well-intentioned and excellent.

This house (no.2) is a miracle. We had amazing time there. The whole place is beautiful with great shared pool. Amazing patio equipped with gas bbq offers a great possibility to have special dinner every night. With great kitchen with "everythingyouneed, really everything" we prepered every dinner with holiday experience pleasure. Rooms are beautiful and there is really a lot of space even for 6 adults with kids. The house interior design is beautiful (congratulations), and we "feels like at home" experience. If you need fresh fish or seafood don't hesitate to ask manager - there is a friendly fishmonger coming twice a week offering super fresh fish or seafood. I have to mention welcome meal on arrival - breakfast/lunch products where waiting for us in a fridge - thank you! Parking by the property was comfortable too. I could continue with many positive details, in short it was our great choice to stay at White Oaks Villas - we travel quite a lot,a and I must say we loved everything.

These complex 10 villas are in a quiet location, also great care is taken to ensure that visitors keep calm and do not disturb each other. The biggest advantage is that the accommodation does not allow pets. The complex is very well maintained, and the swimming pool is beautiful and clean. Gardeners do a good job too. They provide enough towels also for outside use. The villa has everything you need, the kitchen is also well-equipped. We would also like a blender. We liked the bedrooms the most, everything was perfectly clean, and the walls were freshly painted. All complex is guarded, so we feel safe. The manager is really helpful, willing, and nice. They prepared food, drinks, and fruit in a fridge, it was very nice, we didn't have to look for food right away. All staff really take care of guests, we appreciated that. We would be back for sure!

White Oaks Villas was a perfect location for us as a family ( with 2 teenagers) and is a superbly managed facility, kitchen super well equipped, housekeeping service every day (Rika does a great job and friendly and helpful) and a fantastic barbecue grill, cleaned every day by the gardening staff, Swimming pool super clean with volcanic stone tiling. Superb Sea View and Sunset experience with excellent maintained garden and grounds. Special thanks to Manisha and the team who went above and beyond to make our stay such a wonderful experience, Manisha was genuinely helpful, friendly and assisted to arrange our excursions, including - 1/2 day fishing charter, Catamaran Trip to North Islands and 7 waterfall hiking trip ( arranged with Kenny & Sandra) super friendly great company and professional guide. We had the best relaxing and luxurious experience at Seapoint Boutique Hotel. Me and my husband stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and we had such a great time! The hotel has everything you need, we were on the half board with dinner included. The breakfast was buffet with an infinite range of options (they even make waffles and crepes on the spot!) and dinner was a la carte. The menu had so many choices and they were also offering a daily menu changing every day! The food was simply delicious and fresh. Our room was spacious and always cleaned by the staff, they provide you water whenever you need it. They have an heated pool, which was probably the best thing, we spent so much time relaxing by the pool! The beach is also beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and umbrella. They have water equipment that you can use for free and also bikes that you can use. The location is very close to Grand Baie and Mont Choisy beach, and they can both be reached by bike, in case you need some groceries. The hotel was always peaceful and quiet, allowing the guests to truly enjoy their holiday. Honestly I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape. This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! The most helpful and friendly staff I've experienced and also the highest quality restaurant I've seen in a hotel. The breakfast buffet is fabulous and the eggs are incredible. The dinner is super high quality we didn't expect to eat in the restaurant every night but we did because it was so good. Really quiet, peaceful hotel right on the beach with heated pool and pool/beach bar. Free kayak hire, paddle boarding and snorkeling. The snorkeling in the sea where the hotel is has plenty of cool fish to see! I snorkelled every day and saw so many cool things. Perfect hotel.

Staff were amazing. Pool looks small in photos but great in real life with infinity pool views to the ocean. snorkelling from shore was great with lots to see. we didn’t try evening meal until the last night and it was the best we had compared to even local #1 Kaza and Sel’fish locally -places in Grand Baie. had a lovely scallop carpaccio starter and amazing chocolate fondant desert. we used the snorkelling equipment bikes and kayak. will definitely return.

Exceptional hotel. Immaculate room with comfy bed. The food was varied and delicious - super impressed by the 5 course menus and how much option was included within half board. Breakfast was fantastic too. Lovely pool and beach. Friendly staff who were always happy to go above and beyond. Nice touches like evening live music, pool table, bikes you can ride down to Mont Choisy and other local beaches. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 6 nights as a party of 4 across 2 rooms. A lovely stay. We had hired a car and used the hotel as a base to explore the north of the island and go on a few excursions. There was ample parking and there is a supermarket close by. A short drive away. Everything was clean and in good order. The on site bar/ restaurant le Skipper was great and we found ourselves eating there for dinner several nights rather than going out as our pre arrival plan had been, the food was excellent and they do some great cocktails. There was a Chinese new year themed barbecue evening while we were there which was great and there was live music and dancing in the evenings which all added to the atmosphere. Very attentive staff. The facilities never appeared too overcrowded, the pool is great, always free loungers on the beach or by the pool. The sea immediately on the hotel is very shallow and lots of boulders/coral so it's not for swimming, you'd have to walk a bit further along the beach for that, that's the only negative I can think of! But then again the pool is great and was never overcrowded if you need a swim and the overall price is great value and just a fraction of what one of the luxury 5 star resorts on the island charges.

Wonderful, restful oasis on the beach with quiet pretty pool overlooking the ocean. Tustin, Bridget and the team on property were exceptional. Volunteering to bring (copious amount of ) luggage rom the car to the room and back again, loading it up and making the process so easy. It,s convenient to Grand Baie without being in the mayhem. Take the half board option if available. The restaurant is directly on the beach. The staff is excellent and he food is great. On Wed they have local entertainment which got everyone up and dancing. My favorite thing was to lie in the infinity pool watching the breakers, and the guys collecting sea urchins and fishing. There is a lovely sandy beach 1 minutes walk to your right. My husband walked down and discovered the most amazing hotel spa next door with a professional grade massage in their facility in the beach. It’s a Seven Colurs spa, rebound for their exceptional service and products. Def not a beach pickup type massage. It was rejuvenating and amazing. And at the great prices here you could go every day! Can’t say enough wonderful things about Voile Blue. Comfy, clean, AC works like a champ! But it’s the people in both the hotel and restaurant are spectacular!

The pool is nice and clean, the view from the pool as well as from most of the rooms is towards the sea. Biggest plus (not meant to diminish the rest) is the friendliness of the staff, a special thank you goes to Yanish, Vandana, Gerald and Ali!

After reading all the reviews about the hotel, I decided to book it for ten days in August. Prior to arrival, I had good communication from the hotel, which is always good news. Check-in wasn't a disappointment either. Any issues were resolved in moments. Staff are unbelievable helpful from the security guards down to the chefs and waiting staff ( including the reception guys!) We had a deluxe room, which has a well equipped kitchen, patio, shower room with shampoo etc and had fantastic views of the pool and ocean. The restaurant is open all day with breakfast and having plenty of choices. The beach is beautifully sandy, although the seashore is rocky at low tide, but 50 yards to the left of the hotel there is a nice swimming area. For those who want to get out and about, there is a bus stop 20 yards away. It's 24 rupees to Trou aux Biches. Two supermarkets are close by, but the best one is in Trou aux Bisches, which is a twenty minute walk or three minutes on the bus. Hotel hires cars at a reasonable rate and also organises trips which were cheaper than other local trip vendors. The hotel restaurant has entertainment three times a week, and on Wednesday, they have a Mauritian dancers and buffet. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We had a room overlooking the pool and the sea, beautiful views. The different areas of the hotel are very beautiful and cozy. The room was very clean, well equipped, with accessories in the bathroom and a very large shower. The workers have treated us very well from the first moment, very attentive and friendly, and willing to answer all our questions and give us recommendations. Many thanks to Kelly, for cleaning our room, to Sophie, Vero, Brigitte and Yanish for looking after us and being so nice at the reception. Cindy has been very attentive and quick in organizing the excursions, motorcycle rental and taxis that we have needed. Special thanks to Yanish, Cindy and Hurdoyal, for their incredible help with a personal problem we had, which they took care of solving for us without being their obligation.

In den Tropen lege ich Kleidung nie in den Schrank, weil ich immer befürchte, dass sie muffig wird. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer ansprechbar. Das Zimmer lag zur Straße und Strand, mit kleinem Balkon. Nachts hat man die Straße mit geschlossenem Fenster nicht gehört. Wir sind da eher empfindlich. Der Frühstück wurde im Restaurant in Buffetform angeboten. Der Außensitzbereich ist nicht so schön, weil man direkt neben der Straße sitzt. Durch die Überdachung ist es recht dunkel, außerdem sammeln sich die Auspuffgase dort von den vielen vorbeibrausenden Bussen. Auf dem Balkon in der 2. Etage hat mich das nicht gestört, dort habe ich das bunte Treiben auf der Straße eher genossen, aber im Restaurant - Außenbereich, fand ich das störend. Frühstück war sehr gut. Omlett, Spiegelei, Rührei wurde frisch zubereitet. Es gab sehr viele süße Sachen von Pancakes bis Kuchen, aber nur eine Sorte Käse, der nicht schmeckte, eine Sorte Wurst, frisches Obst. Am Kaffeeautomaten konnte man sich Cappuccino, Kakao etc. selbst nehmen. Milch, Joghurt, Müsli gab es auch. Die Dachterrasse mit Pool hat mir auch gefallen. Zweimal die Woche gibt es morgens eine kostenlose Yoga-Stunde am Pool. Sega gibt es nachmittags am Pool.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The hotel isn’t large, but beautifully designed, very elegant and definitely at a high standard. It’s perfectly located just a few steps from a lovely beach, a lot of restaurants, supermarket, taxi stand and a bus stop - pretty much everything you need. From the amenities, it also has a great rooftop pool area, which surprisingly was never crowdy - it’s a lovely place to relax, sunbathe next to the pool or hide from the sun in the shadowed area. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a mocktail and since it was our honeymoon, we were offered a free upgrade to a Premiere Suite. We also could check-in early which was very kind of the staff, and a true relief after a long journey. Similarly, we were offered a late check-out when we were leaving, which was also very helpful as our flight was late in the evening. The apartment was incredible, very spacious, modern and super clean. It included a kitchen with a big fridge, a large bed and a huge bathroom with a shower and amazing bathtub. We ate breakfast every day in the hotel and were never bored - there is plenty of choice, all tasty and fresh. You can also get crepes or omlettes to your liking straight from the pan. Last, but not least, what’s truly the best asset of the hotel is its staff. Everyone was so nice, kind and helpful during our stay, we felt so taken care of at every stage of our 3 weeks stay. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, it’s 11/10, amazing place and amazing people.

One of the best locations in Pereybere, across the road from the beach with excellent choice of local restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our 2 week stay - the 24 hour manning of the front desk is a big help for night owls. Nearby restaurants provide excellent mostly seafood and are good value. Great nightlife is available just a 10 minute taxi ride away in Grand Bay and taxis are easily available for the return journey even in the early hours. We used the hotel's travel centre to organise a spectacular Catamaran trip to Ile Aux Cerfs (a most-do on any visit to Mauritius) but also used local public buses to visit the capital, botanic gardens, rum museum...(tip change from local bus to express service at nearby Grand Bay - really shortens the journey to Port Louis). The Hotel foreign exchange also had one of the best rates we came across. Loved this small and welcoming hotel - and already planning our return trip. Our balcony faced the street which do not cause us any problems but anyone who is noise sensitive should consider the alternative and opt for poolside or pool view balcony...

I wasn't expecting such a place, to be honest! The hotel seems small, regarding to its 3-star, you wouldn't expect such a great service at all! As we checked in, the kind guy at the front desk offered us some fresh juice which cooled us down and exactly what we needed for sure.. When we walked in the room, I was surprised to see such a spacious room, also with a bath in the bathroom apart from the shower, hot water 24/7.. On the top floor, there's a small but enough-to-cool-down pool, spa, hammam and gym.. Ground floor restaurant serves delicious breakfast in the morning between 7.30-10.00 AM and dear Anaik at the tourist info desk makes sure you enjoy your time on the island to the fullest.. I stayed one week and the room was made everyday.. Clean, spacious, quiet rooms with smiling, helping crew.. They even placed a pool and pingpong table on the ground floor! =) When I come back to Mauritius, I don't have to look for another place to stay.. Merci 💚

Our stay was magical, we celebrated my wife's birthday there and they even gave us a wonderful birthday cake free of charge. Dinner was a mix of Mauritian and Italian buffet which as excellent and lots of choices of meat and seafood. Breakfast however lacked a bit of choices compared to other hotels in the same category in Mauritius. Our room has a seaview with direct view on coin de mire. Hotel also has two swimming pools, with the infinity pool less big but my favourite because of the stunning views on the open ocean. Will definitely come again. Staff were very kind and professional from start to the end of our stay. Check in and check out was hassle free and quick. For tourists, it is definitely a remote place called Grand Gaube and far from bars, shopping centers and nightclubs in the North. You definitely need a car or scooter if you want to move to the more popular spots and the best beaches (Grand Baie or Mon Choisy) and party places in the North of Mauritius. Grand Gaube beach which is next to the hotel is not good for swimming.

Meet and greet session and orientation walk with the reception staff was brilliant, the pool with it's unobstructed views of the sea was amazing. There were also plenty of sunbeds to go around. The main restaurant although self service was very pleasant to visit and the chefs always provided food that everyone could enjoy. The Restaurant staff were great, very happy cheerful and friendly whilst the housekeeping staff kept our room spotless and well stocked. The wildlife in the garden outside our ground floor room was wonderful, colourful birds, interesting Chameleons and even a Green back Heron cooling off in the pool after a hard days fishing from the private beach

Lovely place with amazing staff, great food & beautiful surrounding. The pool & the ocean view is splendid! The room was clean & spacious, we had the apartment on the groud floor and it was the best! I highly reccomend to book the ones on the ground floor since you will have a direct access to the pool and can use both of the entrances - the main one & the one from the garden.

Amazing staff, everyone was so polite and professional. Food was really good, a lot of fruit, fish and shrimp selection. The pool with the sea view is probably the prettiest pool I have ever seen. The sunsets are stunning there! In general we LOVED our stay there and couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The resort is really beautiful with 2 swimming pools and private beach. Unfortunately the pools are bit cold to swim in in the winter since it’s not warmed. Restaurant’s buffet was very satisfying, out of expectation. Activities like tradition music and dance were held by the resort. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful.

Great place for people that like big resorts, everything situated at one place. The room was comfortable, with view towards the pool and the nearby beach. The breakfast and dinner were great, with a different varieties of food. Also, the open night parties near the pool were nice. The Grand Baie beach is OK compared to the other beaches in the north, but still, there are better beaches nearby, at the west side, which can be reached by taxi.

Firstly let me say the resort is beautiful with nice rooms and to 4 star standard. Our room had had a makeover and only slightly let down by the shower grout. A small issue and not important. The room staff and the resort staff including reception were lovely, warm and friendly. The views from our room were spectacular. Lovely beach and pools and the pool activities were great with fab staff. However whilst the food served was excellent the restaurant staff were anything but. It was like they didn't work for the resort- totally unengaged and not friendly at all. A couple of exceptions here- the omelette chef at the end of the service area and a few of the more mature staff were good but the rest were just awful. Multiple requests for coffee and any kind of service were met with a sullen look and often forgotten. Too focused on clearing tables and made us feel we were a nuisance. Chefs chatting to each other who got annoyed when you asked them to move to get to the food.

We had an amazing time at this resort. We spent 7 days on the all-inclusive package and we were not disappointed. The resort is well maintained, it is walking distance to shops and the pier at Sunset Boulevard, and the beach is amazing. It is even more stunning than anticipated. The bar and swimming pool area is the perfect place to relax in the afternoon, after spending the day on the beach. The cocktails are delicious and create the perfect island holiday vibe as the sun sets behind the palm trees. The live music by talented musicians in the evenings was very entertaining. The included water activities were a big surprise, as these activities could cost quite a lot if done outside the resort. We took the paddle boat out into the bay and on two occations went snorkeling as passengers on the glassbottom boat. The food is on another level and the variety is vast. There is really something for everyone. The restaurant staff are well-trained and very friendly. A special thanks goes to Vikash Khunkhunwa who made us feel especially welcome. He was extremely helpful with suggestions and recommendations of drinks we should try, things to do and places to visit during the day. We loved this place so much we've already made our next booking!

We had a fantastic vacation and liked everything about this place - big and spacious, lovely park around the hotel, clean and comfy rooms, amazing sea view, delicious food, great evening entertainment, free of charge sea sports, lovely beach with white sand, lovely pool and enough space for everyone on the beach. The hotel is really close to the town and there are many small shops and supermarket in walking distance. The public beach is really close as well, but it's nothing to compare with the beach in front of the hotel. We enjoyed very much the option that we can visit also the other hotels from the Beachcomber chain, so we've spent a day on the beach also at Cannonier and Viktoria. The hotel staff is really polite, supportive and helpful. @Krishna/team - thank you for your warm welcome and kind support during our stay!!! We got to chat with Mr Sachi Bundun( hope I got his name right !!) as he oversaw the personnel at meal times .He answered our queries and happy to throw in his suggestions. We also want to commend Lensley who was always on hand to check if we needed drinks topped up by the bar or by the pool,always polite and happy to engage in conversation. Last but certainly not least ,I chose the hotel for the eco friendly attitude and I was not disappointed. The hotel is striving to educate guests on the importance of sustainable tourism, unnecessary wastage, banning the use of single use plastic. We will definitely be returning to Zilwa . Thank you

The best things about the stay are: friendly staff; pools; access to beach and small island; selection of food. The view from the pools ia amazing, and the staff made the stay really enjoyable.

From the moment I stepped in, I was treated to a luxury experience. The view of the sea and the island in the lobby was stunning. During check-in, I was treated to a cool drink, coconut slices and a damp flannel which was refreshing after a long flight. My luggage was taken to my room for me, (although it needed chasing up!) and this was again offered on my departure. All staff in the hotel were more than accommodating, bringing me a complimentary cake for my birthday, chatting in a friendly and helpful manner during my stay, and providing efficient service. When the transport for my return journey arrived late, staff put me at ease, contacting the company and keeping me updated. The beaches were lovely- uncrowded and attended to well by staff. There were a few people selling tours or wares on the beach occasionally, but they were friendly and did not hassle people at all. The boat bar on the beach was well-designed as was the whole hotel. The watersports were a good facility to have and were easy to book. I had looked forward to using the spa facility, and the two massages I received were of good quality. There were a few swimming pools which were never crowded. The range of activities provided throughout the day and evening were interesting and varied. I only had breakfasts as the meals were expensive and unfortunately the hotel is not close to any restaurants. The breakfast buffet was wonderful though with a huge range of choice, and delicious fresh food.

The pictureshere dont do it justice-the hotel is a stunning dreamy resort!!! Amazing value for money- U have many activities included in the price of stay. My husband got injured and they have a clinic there with a nurse and a doctor so we didnt need to go to a clinic outside. Amazing beautiful landscape of hotel itself and views of sea and islands in front of hotel at sea. Amazing staff. Very good quality of people came there we made many friends. The deco is spactacular of main bar,entrance,pools,dining area. Very good pizza at night,good crepps at morning and amazibg standart of deserts at evening. There was a stand that used us for put diapers to the baby just like at home with drawers and everything it was so convinient they thought of everything. They have a special shiwer facilities if u stay the whole day after checkout and we used it-very comterable.

Right from the word go.. Zilwa was an experience to remember & rave about !! Everything at the property was truly amazing. The Location, The Beach, The Facilities, The Activities, The Room, The View, The Pools... The list goes on !! The buffet could do with a little more Vegetarian (Egg Free) options both at Breakfast & Dinner. However, the sumptuous and authentic Indian 'Vegetarian' Food (Dinner) Served at Tadka more than made up for this deficit. In a Nut Shell, THIS WAS ONE HECK OF A STAY AT ZILWA !! It was a pity that we had booked the second half of our vacation at an alternate property on the East Coast. We most definitely felt bad about our decision and would have loved to spend the remainder of our vacation glued at Zilwa. Wow !! Cindy, the manager, is fantastic, nothing is an issue ☺️ It was only myself and my little one this time and they were all very supportive and ready to assist with anything. The only downside is, there is no restaurant on site, if I was the owner I would have at least a little bar by the pool where ppl could buy a drink or something to nibble on , but saying that it's not a big issue as next door there is a great restaurant and bar and this hotel offers a free shuttle to the restaurant at the second hotel belonging to the same owner located around 10min drive away. Overall fantastic place and I'm already planning my return, don't think we will be ever looking for another spot while in Mauritius as this one is Al what you need 🤗

Beautiful location close by Mon Choisy beach! We had a lovely apartment including a little kitchen area and highly enjoyed our stay here. Mon Choisy is a beautiful beach which can be accessed by steps leading down from the pool and fron there its only a three minute walk. The pool area was beautiful too. The staff were very friendly and Cindy, who organizes the tours (such as boat trips etc.) is very helpful and accomodating. Breakfast can be ordered (if not included in your booking choice) and included fruits, jogurt and pastries. We can recommend Mon Choisy Beach R. for a relaxing stay.

From the moment we arrived, exhausted after some 20 hours of traveling, and were greeted by two glasses of freshly squeezed juice, everything was a dream. The clean, nice a well-equipped studio with a sea / pool view, kind, smiling and helping staff, great pool, nice garden, additional services (free shuttle to dinner on the first evening), good parking... everything. Add to that the fact that the arguably most beatiful beach in the north (Mon Choisy) begins on your doorstep, and you'll understand why we'll definitely be back one day.

Very cosy teritory with plenty of various plants, cozy pool area, convenient private entrance to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent service! Possibility to stay at property and use pool, shower and luggage storage after checkout.

beautiful tropical garden, nice views on the sea from the pool area. close to Mon Choisy public beach (2 min walk on the coast, that’s where it starts. the hotel has a gate where you can exit to the coast). staff was nice and helpful. bed was comfy. there were salt, pepper and olive oil in the apartment’s kitchen. the pool was also exquisite, perfect temperature, with quite a few sunbeds.

A wide variety of food is on offer throughout the resort. It was all freshly prepared and delicious. The team were also knowledgeable about helping with dietary requirements. Absolutely loved our time in Mauritius, and particularly our time at the Westin Turtle Bay Resort. The resort itself is absolutely amazing, spacious and boasts most amenities one may require, including a full gym and spa, two beautiful massive pools (one for families, other for adults only), five different restaurants with a great variety of foods, extensive coastline (be mindful of sea urchins - although the sea life among the corals once inside the sea is breath taking!) and a boat house offering most water sports, including diving! Only thing missing was a small shopping centre nearby as getting any shopping involves a spot of travel. Additionally, the staff made our stay the most memorable holiday we have had to date. The food and beverage crew, from management through their amazing chefs including Rudy and Akash, to the waiting staff, particularly Seam, Roshan and Raja ensure each and every request we had was accommodated promptly, and in superb fashion. The pool side team, lead by Jerome and Steeven, including Noah, Nass and Dylan made sure we had absolutely the most incredible holiday! We cannot wait to be back there, and we've only just got home 💜~💜~

Every single staff member we came across were so friendly and made us feel so at home. The staff were the highlight of the hotel, always making you feel as comfortable as possible and nothing was too much to ask. We would return purely down to them! The hotel is stunning, very understated online. The food was great with the main buffet restaurant serving breakfast and dinner - all very fresh, and a choice of four other restaurants - Kangan (Indian) being our favourite, as well as Mystique (Asian). Drinks were great and we made use of the all inclusive for cocktails, wine, beers, milkshakes! Two pools which were good sizes, a very large kids pool and a medium sized adults only. The rooms were great, very spacious and spread out. We made use of the gym too which was great, everything you need and not too busy. They also have yoga classes etc. Overall an amazing experience at this hotel and we can't wait to return. A big shout out to all the staff who go above and beyond!

The room certainly exceeded our expectations. We had a large room with a very big and spacious bathroom with a long counter and more than sufficient wardrobe space. The room was really beautiful, and well equipped. They provided plenty of water and tea/coffee (refilled everyday). The room had a bathtub as well. The room contained 3 balconies (one tiny balcony probably for drying clothes, the front balcony overlooking the pool, restuarants and the beach, and the side, very large balcony with the same view as the front balcony, but with outdoor sofas and pool loungers. The view was amazing. We only got to eat a the buffet due to no booking availability at the other restaurants. I wouldn't say it was the best buffet I've had, but the food was pretty good and the service was great. Special thanks go out to Shivani and Seam who made our dining experience special. The rest of the resort is really well laid out and maintained, and just had a wonderfully relaxing ambience.

We could decide between a ground floor room or a third floor room which was great! We chose the third floor room and were not disappointed by the views - it directly overlooks the water from a balcony. The balcony has a table with chairs which is great for having breakfast/dinner at while watching the view. The room has a strong air conditioner which really helped on the humid days, the small kitchenette is well stocked with utensils and there is even a clothes drying rack! The staff were really helpful and told us where to avoid (in terms of tourist traps). The location is a not in central Grand Baie and is about a 10 min walk to the really big Super U (supermarket). Overall, the place was comfortable and we had a pleasant stay! Would recommend and would stay here again.

We stayed at 5 different accommodations in Mauritius and this was the highlight, it is perfectly situated right at the seafront and also close to some good restaurants. From our arrival to departure the staff were attentive and kind and our apartment was cleaned daily. It had everything we needed. The terrace overlooking the sea was a great spot so was well used. Grand Baie central with all its surf shops, clothes shops and twinkly things was a merciful 20 minute walk away which made us very happy too, keeping it at a bit of a distance (be careful walking on the road, few pavements). A few little shops nearby sold groceries or there is a big supermarket at the far end of Grand Baie - you'd want transport. In brief we loved this apartment. Thanks to all the Peramal staff.

The property is very well maintained, and the location is spot on. I was very impressed even though it was a small property compared to hotels. I travelled a lot for works and leisure across Australia, Europe, and the US stayed in 4/5 Stars Hotels. This one was a different vibe. Kudos to the team who works at Residence Peramal!!! The lady at the reception was very welcoming, very polite and friendly. The owner himself is a legend, and I love the positive vibe and atmosphere he delivers.

The establishment offers very good value for money. It has exceeded our expectations. With a real comfort, excellent Wi-Fi connection, air conditioning, terrace and all kitchen facilities, we were never been bored during our stay. And in addition to that, we have had the turquoise blue lagoon right in front of our room. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We rented the superior studio, and were very happy with our choice.

There was also a shallow, covered section of this pool for babies and toddlers. Good selection of free water activities like kayaking and SUP etc.

My family and I had a lovely time at the Hotel. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. As my family are vegetarian and vegan we were worried about what we could eat. However the staff went above and beyond any expectations we had and made sure we were fed well. For vegetarians, the best option for breakfast and dinner is the Mozaic. Special thanks to chef Mr Singh who explained in detail each of the foods available. Pizzas, pastas and Indian food all came with various vegetarian options. Special thanks to Chatish who went out of his way to get us special vegan desserts. For lunch, the street food or ordering chips and a veggie burger by the pool are the best options. At the Italian La Tavola, the chefs Ram and Mariano went off menu to accommodate us. Special thanks for that. The pool was quite cold in August. Depending on day and time the service for drinks could be a little slow. But the staff went out of there way to help us. Special thanks to Mozahir. The great range of water sports available at the hotel during the day meant we were never bored. Special thanks to Kevin at the water ski area. My sister was a pro at the end due to Kevin's excellent teaching. we did the glass bottom boat and snorkelling. If you go to the area on the beach by the boat house and speak to Steve, he can give you an opportunity to swim with dolphins in the wild, and snorkel at a beautiful lagoon at Trou aux-Biches. It cost us 15 pound a person.

A warm welcome from all the staff at The Ravenala Attitude from the moment we arrived, they settled us in to our stay effortlessly. The eco concept was refreshing, enjoyed stocking up our mini fridge as and when required from a selection of items from the tukshop, thus minimising waste. A number of clean and spacious swimming pools that cater all ages. A well preserved beach with plenty of sun loungers, and sports and recreational activities available, many of which are at no additional costs. Paid excursions also available to book, including dolphin watching. A dedicated adults only section available too. Plenty of friendly staff on hand to enjoy beach games with. Special shoutouts to Kevin who kept us in shape with his daily energetic water aerobics class. Yesh for his impeccable and attentive service by the pool, ensuring we always had a drink in hand and the kids were well catered for. Yesh always had a smile and nothing was too much for him, a credit to Ravenala Attitude. The entire Kids Club family were amazing, they kept our children fully occupied with daily events and activities. It's location being in the centre of the resort is great as you can easily access the kids club from wherever you are. The Poz spa and wellness centre has been well designed and you'll find every type of treatment to complete your relaxing stay. The staff there are highly trained and very professional. Taba Gees food trucks offering authentic Mauritian food, which was fresh and delicious.

We spent a week on our honeymoon at The Ravenala Attitude Hotel. The whole resort was a wonderful paradise. The rooms were big and clean. The staff everywhere was extremely friendly. We always got help and advice for everything we needed. The hotel had many different restaurants serving food from different cultures. The quality of the restaurants varied, but everywhere the food was really good. A floating restaurant by the river called Riviera is a must try. Beautiful and romantic place. Chef Ally makes the best food while Brandon (waiter) takes care of you. The hotel beach is also beautiful and there is many different activities you can do besides sipping drinks and laying in the sun. Cruises, watersports etc. The hotel also had a wonderful spa. First we went to steam and sauna. After that we went for a couples massage. It was relaxing and the masseurs were lovely. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the spa was peaceful. We spent a lot of time at the hotel pool. We would like to especially thank the two gentlemen called Yes and Mo. They took special care of us whenever we spent time at the pool. They always made sure we had everything we needed. They were extremely helpful, polite and funny. We had a great time with them. Thanks to them, we had a memorable vacation and could have stayed much longer. We can warmly recommend this hotel for a vacation and especially for a honeymoon. A

Beautiful place with comfortable rooms, direct seaview, pools (even a shallow for little kids) and welcoming crew. They have a great variation of restaurants, so you can choose from traditional Mauritian, Indian, Italian, European or even Japanese seafood. Great place for couples and for families as well and the park around the hotel looks like a botanical garden with coconut palms and flowers everywhere. Venita always helped us from the reception, I can recommend her help if you have any questions. There is a beach bar next to the pools, so you can always order a refreshing drink during the day (opened until late night) The beach is in a protected lagoon, so the water here is warmer, than other beaches around the western coastline, even during the winter (we spent here 9 days in June) You can also find facultative attractions on the hotel's beach, so you can try diving, or go for a boat ride to Crystal rock and swim with dolphines. Don't skip the boat rides, they are not expensive and give you an unforgetable journey.

This was my second stay at Ocean V. As always, the service was impeccable and one of a 6 stars hotel. The staff is very attentive to your needs and they pamper you from day 1 to your very last day. They are very helpful for anything you need. The breakfast offers great options if you are a vegetarian. The food is delicious. The Chef also tailors to your dietary habits. That's how attentive the whole staff is. He even accepted special orders I made (a 20 slices birthday cake for my friend). They offer tea time for free envy day. The hotel is very modern. The rooms are very spacious and super neat. You sleep so well even though it is close to the street when cars pass by, you don't hear a sound and will sleep like a baby. The rooftop pool has a spectacular view on the Indian Ocean. It is never crowded so at times, you will have the pool just for yourself. It is very conveniently located to great diving centres and the best one being (mybasediving) and conveniently located 5 min walk to the beach. It is also close to the many shops in Grand baie and all the nice restaurant and going-out area.

We stayed only for a night, and it was really relaxing. We enjoy the swimming pool on the rooftop and the spa for a massage. The view from the swimming pool is amazing and the staff was nice ! We had a really good time, we will definitely come back!

I stayed at Ocean V for 3 nights and my visit can only be described as great! I arrived the first day around 7 pm (it was about 2 hours from the airport with traffic) but was greeted by a lovely lady who explained to me all necessary information and lead me to my room. The room itself was very spacious! I was very pleasantly surprised! And the view!!! OMG the view was fantastic. The view only got better when you got to the rooftop where the restaurant, pool and bar were. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially the hotel manager Mr. Manav who organized an entire day of sightseeing for me all with driver and everything. He was extremely hospitable and even offered me a soothing drink when my stomach was feeling a bit upset. Highly recommended hotel and I will definitely be coming back to stay there towards the end of this year. So much to see and do and country is just gorgeous!

Evetything!!! The stuff are very kind abd helpful. They welcome us with cold drinks and fresh towels. Helped us with eveyrhing we needed fir example restaurant reservation, taxi reservation...We felt very safed and welcome. The hotel is wonderful!! Very clean and nice decorated. The rooms is big, with a nice view ti the beach. You have coffee and tea in the room, the bed is very comfortable, the shower room is big clean and you have everything you need, also hair dryer. On the rooftop there is the restaurant where the breakefast is served, the bar and the pool are also there. You have everything you need!! The hotel is 3 minutes walk frim the beach so tge location is also great. There are shops just few minutes walk... The breakfast is perfect! You get the chance to eat in front of amazing view.. We really liked eveything and enjoyed our staying in Ocean V hotel. Very recommanded!!

Not boring food everyday the menu is different and both the Italian and navigator are highly recommended. However, we were all inclusive which worked perfectly, we didn’t have to worry about the budget Service- excellent service all over the place and the stuff is so professional and extremely nice, nothing is too much for them and with a smile all the time. The service is quite impressive in sense, we got special price for the all inclusive and on our last day we had the day free of charge (food & drinks). Wonderful and unexpected surprise from one of the stall Reena, she organised my husband birthday and our wedding anniversary cake and music.

This was my second visit to Le Canonnier which has a wonderful history and is set in acres of beautiful well kept gardens with fortress, cannons and a lighthouse on the beach. Swimming pools are pristine surrounded by beautiful palm trees, an amazing bayan tree and where birdsong is a daily delight. The 3 restaurants (Le Frangipanier - different themed buffet every evening and delicious buffet breakfasts,Le Serenata-Italian, and Le Navigator with a view of Gunners Quoin) where food is delicious and service is excellent with soothing live music to serenade you as you dine. Evening entertainment was also enjoyable including Sega dancing twice weekly. When I arrived on this visit I was disappointed as the decor of the rooms is not as bright and as well furnished as when I last visited, but it was clean, and well serviced and after all it's for sleeping and showering..one doesn't spend one's time on holiday in the room.

Great place to relax. All property is in an excllet condition. All the staff is very nice. The restaurants are very good too especially the italian (Serenata). The beaches are ok but you need shoes if you go to the sea. There are a lot of lounge chairs at the beach and around the pool. The wifi is very good at all the property. it would be nice if there were more options to eat at the bar and the drinks were coolers.

The hotel was lovely, two pools perfect for families (one ideal for the younger kids). Our 2 bed apartment was perfect, bedding comfortable and the food (half board, dined at Frangipani) was great - a selection of local and international cuisine. Free use of paddleboat was good fun. What we loved most was the staff, all so warm and friendly to us and our 3 kids. We have stayed in a few hotels on the island and we would come back here.

We had an amazing time on our honeymoon at the Cannonbier Beachcomber. The resort has everything you need!! easy access to the beach and pool, stunning bay views for sunset and diversity of restaurants. We enjoyed the gym and sauna each day as well as the wide range of food at the buffet. The boat trip to flat island that the hotel organised for our Honeymoon was also a highlight. thank you!!

Great plus is their water management, no plastic bottels and everywhere free water dispensers.

I chose this hotel because it's deep in the green, right opposite the beach, kids-friendly and eco-committed. Beautiful pool surrounded by palm trees, shallow on one side for kids and deeper on the other side. I loved the bar with swings and the restaurant by the second pool. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. I loved the food, so much choice every day. Everything was locally grown and sourced, fresh and delicious, from breakfast to dinner. I also really appreciated the free fountains to fill in your own water bottle, so that we could help to fight single-use plastic. Included in the price there are beach towels and umbrellas, kayak, paddle boat, and a glass-bottomed boat tour. A special mention to the staff, all of them! From the receptionists to the cleaners to the waiters, to the chefs, to the guards. Everyone is so SO nice, welcoming, and caring. Mauritian people are lovely!

We really really enjoyed our holidays. Hotel is very family friendly. nice welcome, good food and nice rooms. The garden is well maintained and the pool is great. Unfortunately you could hear the street when laying at the pool. The beach view is beautiful but the beach itself is so so. It’s not cleaned for swimming from seaweed etc. We would take a Lokal bus and drive to nearby beaches instead. Also there’s only this much time one can spend at the beach cause of the sun. Hotel taxis are much more expensive than Lokal ones. Staff members are friendly and helpful. They make an effort to make you feel welcome. We had half board as we’re not alcohol drinkers and lunches at the beach are tasty and cheap. Food at the hotel was tasty and well prepared. With HB option our soft drinks were not covered at dinner. I’d suggest at least water should be free to refill at the restaurant like it is at breakfast. We traveled with a 2,5 year old and he really enjoyed.

Coin de Mire Attitude is a lovely resort to stay at, we definitely enjoyed our time here! While the beachfront is across the street, it doesn’t impact the experience that much. There’s a perfect balance between relaxing by the pool or enjoying the beautiful beach. Our room was spacious with a very good shower. The food was excellent both at the breakfast and dinner. We had half board and ate lunch from the food truck, which was very affordable. Coin de Mire Attitude’s commitment to eco-friendly practices was a definite plus for us!

A superbly designed hotel with a beautiful reception area, a choice of restaurants, pools and a private beach area as well as multiple add on experiences to ensure you never have to leave the resort. Rooms are spacious and well equiped with either a balcony or patio area its easy to move across the resort. The resort operates through an App which allows you to understand the restaurant, bar and entertainment options available and make bookings. Not everything is included in the All Inclusive package and prices in the resort are very high. Unfortunately the service levels across most of the resort really let the hotel down. Quite often both at the pool and in the restaurants trying to find a staff member to order from was impossible. Service was painfully slow across most of the restaurants - we waited over an hour to be served 2 cheeseburgers at BB's one lunchtime which arrived cold. On a different occassion we ordered food at the pool, only after chasing twice discovered no one had actually given the order to the kitchen - with no apology. Inti is the premium restaurant on the resort and therefore not included in the packages. The menu was extensive and well executed however the service was awful which is unacceptable when charging extra. Top Tips - the Coffee Bar (which is mostly included) and the Rum Tasting Experience (an extra cost) are both amazing.

We stayed 10 nights at LUX Grand Gaube. We had a great time and would definitely recommend. Pros: - Two beaches and swimming pools - was nice to have a change of scenery at times. One is adults only, good if you want a quieter time. - Room was large and comfortable, massive modern bathroom with a big shower and two sinks. - Free water sports at the hotel - we did kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and snorkelling. Water skiing also offered but quite weather dependent so was available on only a handful of days for us. - Tennis and padel courts free to book. Padel rackets provided but have to pay for balls (pretty cheap and you keep them). - Food at the restaurants was excellent. Our favourite was Bodrum Blue (Greek/Turkish) and Beach Rouge (Mediterranean). Creole and BBs not as good in our opinion. - We did two excursions during our stay - a trip to Casela (nature park) and a speed boat tour of the east coat islands (ending at Ile aux Cerfs). Organised through Hello Islands (I think connected to the airport transfer booked through Expedia) - a rep contacted us on our first night and met us the following morning. Was very helpful in recommending what to do and when. Both trips were amazing, highly recommend. - Whole resort was clean and well maintained - Staff very polite and friendly. Reception very helpful with any questions or issues. Cons: - Slow bar service at the main bar - Slimy underfoot in the sea in many areas

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were really pleased with the customer service. Waiting staff are very hardworking, polite and humble. We tipped staff in cash where we could as we were not sure how the tipping system works. There is lots to do - a lot of the water sports are free and beach area staff are very attentive. The banyan area with the adult pool is also well maintained - notable mentions to Saif and Vikesh who were always at hand to help. Food is good with lots of options - particularly BBs burgers/Bodrum Blue/Creole Smokehouse and the ice cream bar. We went half board as we do not drink alcohol and thought this worked out well. Spa facilities are decent with slots that you need to book which is good so that it does not get crowded. My wife also had a massage here from Nishma who was a friendly therapist. We were also kindly given a few things complimentary as Abeday at reception noted that it was our honeymoon. Hotel in general well maintained and clean, nice big rooms with good aircon, some wear and tear in bathrooms but nothing overly concerning. We would come back in future.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were checked in by the lovely Sanjana and were really well looked after. Every single interaction was a pleasant one. We're both vegan and were met by Chef Ramen on arrival who reassured us that we would be well catered for and took specific note of the things we could and couldn't eat and throughout our stay, his team (Veer, Kooshal and Fazeeze) went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. The service from Akshaye and Diren was also exceptional. The gym, tennis courts and pools were clean and well managed there were various happenings around the resort to keep yourself occupied. The staff at the coffee hub - Nuha, Shavesh and Sylvano even made us bespoke protein shakes every day - super friendly. Its a well run and friendly resort. The staff seem happy and are well drilled on service so theres a good atmosphere and we didn't meet any unhappy guests. Thanks for a great holiday Lux Grand Gaube.

The Lux Grand Gaube hotel is outstanding. Our junior suite was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The choice for food unparalleled- Peruvian (Inti), Turkish (Bodrum Blue), Creole Smoke House, Beach Rouge, Palm Court, Cafe Lux, ICI ice creams. The food was amazing and the variety delicious. The service world class and the staff so professional and well trained. Adult pool so relaxing. A beautiful looking property. Large grounds so you do not feel closed in. Great surroundings and great swimming. I came to Mauritius to relax and be spoilt. Lux Grand Gaube exceeded my expectations.

Nonostante il ristorante offra un clima romantico, intimo e silenzioso e noi invece avessimo due bambini piccoli spesso rumorosi, tutti sono stati gentilissimi con noi. Addirittura i camerieri si sono offerti, in alcune circostanze, di aiutarci con i bimbi per consentirci di mangiare il nostro pasto. Alcuni piccoli gesti vanno oltre la formale correttezza ed esprimono la vera anima del luogo: un posto in cui puoi sentirti trattato con delicatezza e umanità. Ricorderò tutto di questo posto: i fantastici tramonti alla finestra della camera (spaziosissima e dotata di tutti i confort, anche netflix), gli uccellini che fanno colazione con noi al suono delle onde del mare, il sorriso di Savrina alla colazione (che già sapeva volessimo tantissimo caffè), la delicata gentilezza del proprietario che faceva cucù alla nostra bimba. Colazione di qualità, non troppe cose ma tutte eccellenti, cena sempre diversa e squisita (siamo rimasti più di tre settimane e non ci siamo mai annoiati). Non esitate a concedervi un’esperienza come questa. Flowers of Paradise è un angolo di paradiso in un’isola che, sinceramente, è il paradiso. Ci mancherà. Grazie di cuore. Séjour très agréable au Flowers of Paradise. La chambre était incroyablement spacieuse, avec une terrasse donnant sur un joli jardin avec sa piscine et la vue sur la mer. La plage de Mont Choisy est vraiment toute proche (2 minutes à peine...), avec un accès direct depuis l'hôtel par le littoral. La demi-pension était d'un bon rapport qualité/prix, avec un petit-déjeuner correct et un dîner varié et travaillé (et un cadre super, les pieds dans le sable !), bien qu'il soit dommage que la cuisine locale ne soit pas davantage mise en valeur dans les menus. Tout le personnel de l'hôtel est très attentionné. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de commodités à proximité immédiate toutefois, ce qui est bien pour le calme des lieux mais pourrait être gênant si vous n'avez pas de voiture.

The facilities at Casa Florida were excellent. Breakfast was a full buffet meal each day, fresh and delicious. The bar and meal service was excellent and good value. The location was within easy walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The hotel grounds and gardens are peaceful, spacious, colorful, well maintained and relaxing. The pool and pool area was clean and inviting. The staff were at all times professional and friendly.

Great place near Pereybere beach, supermarket and restaurants. Long pool working hours - our child enjoeyd it so much. Pool bar is nice for a relaxing drink after dinner.

A surprise location, within a short walk to quiet beaches with calm no no-waves, great for swimming. Nice grounds, shaded areas to sit and relax, beautiful and clean pools, a comfortable bed, a clean bedroom, a nice veranda, excellent service at the restaurant, breakfast is a treat, and a nice pool bar. Excellent wifi. Enjoyed my stay. My thanks to the Manager, Ms. Kantee, who helped me with a dental emergency and organized a taxi to take me to her dentist immediately. She was always smiling and welcoming the huests, making them feel at home!

We had two rooms with two bathrooms appartment so it was quite spacious, rooms were clean with everyday cleaning service, swimming pool is usually not used by anyone so it is almost entirely for you, but every a couple of minutes it makes a strange 'noise' because of sucking the water so we had to close the windows during the night in order to sleep well. The electric fence helps the guest to feel safely. Mont choisy beach is about 15minutes walking time away. Wifi in the apartments is almost not working, we had huge difficulties to be connected and finally we used our own router. At the swimming pool wifi is better but not always stable.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Pointe Villas. Richard (the owner) was there to greet us on our arrival and our departure (which was 5 am), and to assist with the suitcases. There was secure parking inside the property. The room was cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble for Richard and his staff who were very friendly. The pool was spotless and the garden was lovely as well. Richard does offer dinners as an extra so if you feel like staying at the apartment and having dinner on your private patio overlooking the pool, it's very enjoyable. Highly recommend these apartments.

We chose this accommodation for our honeymoon as we were on a budget. having said this, the stay really surpassed all expectations & would recommend for all types of traveller, whatever the budget. Firstly, all the staff were amazing. Mauritian hospitality is famous, but the first class, personal and friendly help received could not be bettered anywhere. The manager Paul believes in providing the best stay possible, showing off the best Mauritius has to offer with practical advice second to none. He helped us organise tours, activities & meals, usually off the beaten track &/or at a fraction of the price it would have been if organised in the UK. Secondly, the villas were always in pristine condition on arriving home. They were light & airy with plenty of space. These are self catering villas, which suited us perfectly as we had the choice to eat out in local restaurants, cook or order takeaway to be delivered -it was completely up to us. The grounds & swimming pool were kept in an equally superb condition. The villas were not directly on the high street, but within 2mins walk of the shops here and 5mins walk to Mont Choisy beach. the bus service is amazing & on advice took short hops to Grande Baie, Port Louis & Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens; all easily accessible. Thank you all very much for an absolutely amazing & memorable honeymoon. We hope to visit Mauritius again and will look no further for accommodation.

We have just returned from two lovely weeks at La Pointe Villas, and would book to stay here again in a heartbeat. We stayed in the 4 bed property which was as pictured, kept clean by the daily maid service in good working order. Any issues are swiftly dealt with and sorted. The pool was divine and in such a lovely setting, being off the main road also means it is quiet. It is the perfect base to explore, with beautiful beaches within walking distance and a nearby corner shop as well as a few spots to eat. The big supermarket is in about 6k away - a short and cheap bus journey or a quick drive if you have your own car. The kitchen was full of useful bits for self catering which was really helpful. Richard was a fabulous host, who was always available to chat, he sorted transfers and tours for us and was just what we needed for our first time on the island. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we really appreciated all his help and knowledge.

Even though I grew up in Mauritius, I was keen to chose our accommodation based on independent reviews. Used Tripadvisor which had great reviews for La Pointe Villas. It was so ideal that we would definitely stay there on our next trip to visit relatives. Rooms and pool are cleaned very well on a daily basis. All staff are friendly and always willing to help. Not having a washing machine was a bonus as our maid also provides a handy 24 hour laundry service (at a reasonable rate). I travelled with my wife, 3 children (2, 4, 6) and my mother in law. We did have a car but you could get away without one since there is a small shop, bus stop and a choice of restaurants on the doorstep. Paul will help you with your every need (whether recommending restaurants with discounts or providing an alternative, mobile BBQ and all utensils). He was even up at 05h15 to see us off yesterday!

Very warm welcome upon arrival in this cozy,, charming hotel. It was more compact than expected perhaps due to it's location in busy Grand Baie. Did not use the beach facilities so have no comment, nor the small swimming pool situated in the middle of the hotel. The restaurant was delicious, and one of the nicest meals we experienced, the breakfast buffet was equally enticing. The room was clean and practical, though smaller than expected. We were very surprised that this hotel is (and the only one on the island) labelled a Relais and Chateaux. We stayed in several hotels that were easily on a par.. and they certainly not the most expensive.

Very cosy apartment. Everything you hoped for in one place. You have there everything you need. Few second walk and you can visit shop to buy fresh food. And if you do not want to cook, there is restaurant on the other side of the road. Sadly the beach nearby is not good for swimming, stones are everywhere. But you are just 10 minutes from one of the best beaches. Not to mention you have unlimited access to the pool in front of the balcony :) A lot of parking space. The host gave us good suggestion on car rental. And on last day when our flight was at the evening, he let us stay in different apartment at the pool so we did not have to worry about anything!

Didn't know what to expect however, we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived how nice and clean the apartment was. We had the ground floor , which gave us access to a garden area and still a very nice view of the pool area and sea whilst still feeling like we had our privacy . The pool was nice and warm. Mr Soobhug was really friendly and showed us to our apartment. It's a gated area and if you have any visitors then they will be allowed to park outside the gated area but you have to inform Mr Soobhug before having visitors. There is a bbq outside and plenty of seats with a table. The showers are just AMAZING . Very peaceful environment. Would defo recommend .

We stayed at the A7 penthouse which was overlooking the private beach and the pool, an exquisite site to wake up to every morning. Clean and spacious rooms- aircons were switched on prior to check-in which was a good touch. Excellent views from the rooms! Rooms were bigger than the average size which was amazing.. A fabulous location on the beachfront with a gorgeous view of the garden, pool and the beachfront. The apartment is well equipped and open plan, allowing one to be busy in the kitchen and still have a stunning view of the waters edge as well as be part of the family's discussion going on in the lounge and on the balcony. The balcony is large, equipped with a gas braai. A bright and airy 2 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. A marvelous pool. The apartment is within walking distance to local shops and eateries. A local beach 100m away (one cannot swim directly in front of the apartment, due to rocks) LoV staff and cleaning staff are super helpful and friendly. Wi-fi available

Great, spacious penthouse apartment with an amazing terrace and great sea views. Perfect for larger families or 2/3 couples, as the rooms have en suite bathrooms and the terrace is composed of two adjoining, but basically private sections. The apartment was very clean and there is a daily cleaning service as well. We had great barbecues on the Weber gas grill provided. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, a large side-by-side fridge, and an electric stove (albeit not our favourite). The pool is large and cleaned daily. The garden is well-kept. We arrived late and the key pickup was easy - onsite security staff had the key and all the necessary info for us in a sealed envelope. Parking is safe, each apartment has its dedicated space within the secure lot. There are larger supermarkets reachable within 10 minutes. There is a dive shop just next to the complex (N.B. closed on Sundays), and more in the centre just 1km away. Checkout was easy and quick.

In all respects, this hotel met and often exceeded my expectations. It is a large hotel but has retained its friendly approach to guests. The food is excellent - varied, well presented and beautifully cooked. There is always room in the dining area both inside and by the pool and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There are two beaches, both of fine sand and with plenty of sunbeds and shelters. Even less though the hotel was busy there was never a problem getting a sunbed which were so spaced that the beach never felt crowded. The bedroom was spacious with an excellent bathroom - separate shower and bath-tub. The bed was very comfortable. This is an excellent hotel. I recommend it without and reservations.

This was a perfect resort for 6 days. Our plan included all meals which were all good, as well as wine,beer, non alcoholic drinks. Plenty of choice. Room was spacious, clean, great bathroom. Setting is lovely overlooking beach and a pool right outside. Free aquarobics very enthusiastically run by staff, very popular activity. We happen3d to be staying a hurricane which meant staffing levels were reduced, and room wasn't serviced for a day. But made no difference to our stay.

Extremly friendly and helpfull staff. Specialy the ladies From the Kids club, they are just adorable and our daughter loves them (she doesn’t speak neither English or French, but she enjoyed). Food was delicious, lot of variety, good WiFi, space full rooms, great swimming pool

The teen club. The free water activities. LaCasa Restaurant, as well as Morris Beef Restaurant. The rooms were spacious, and well air-conditioned, and had great views, at least where we stayed. The availability of Mautourco on site. The aqua aerobics and other pool activities. The gym facilities. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to go to the spa. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a lot of variety. The mid afternoon pancake station was a nice touch. The fireworks and beach setup for NYE was great. The singing entertainment after dinner was lovely. It was the perfect holiday destination for the kids, with lots to keep them entertained. The adults can relax and just soak up the sun and cocktails. It was great value for money, and it met our holiday objectives

Quiet location overlooking the sea, a small friendly hotel with a great pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great value for money. Food was varied for dinner. We had a massage whilst there which was good. Plenty of beds by the pool.

The breakfast was good as were some of the dinners. The pool was large and easy to enter. There was ample pool and beach furniture. The birds were wonderful.

Very nice next to the beach always a lounger available around the pool although sometimes in full sun. Rooms were good cleaned daily. The staff were very accommodating. The glass bottom boat was always available. The bus stops were very close to resort. There was entertainment each evening but always in French. Walking on the beach we found a great place to eat Chinese food called Foy’s Grill great food and good value.

Friendly and helpful staff, nicely situated hotel with clean pool and surrounding area. The beach is right outside. The food is also very good. Overall a very well-run place.

The look of Veranda Pointe aux Biches, with the thatched roofs, was what attracted us to this resort. It didn't disappoint as you can see from the photos. Right from the start, the staff were very attentive to your needs. A good introduction to the resort by the front desk staff and a walk around the resort explaining various daily and weekly events. All the staff were super helpful and very welcoming and sociable. Special mention to Rodnay and Harel on the restaurant side. It's clear to see why Rodnay is one of the managers with great attention to detail. You didn't have to ask for refills with Rodnay on shift as he seemed to have a sixth sense, plus a great sense of humour. Akshay, Marie and Sara on bar duties at the Lazy Pool Bar. Ranee, our room service maid, who entertained us with a different towel sculpture every day, really cute! Asha, Nitesh and Sacha on the management staff who guided us, upgraded our room for our 30th wedding anniversary and recommended local trips to take advantage of. Thanks to Sacha for the upgrade from Comfort to Privilege, with a great view down to the lazy pool and the beach. Made our holiday so much more enjoyable. Last mention for the superb Transit Room, the best we have experienced. Our departing flight was at 21:25, so we enjoyed the hotel amenities all day. The Transit Room allows guests to take a shower, change and prepare for travel. Well done, because this was done in great style. Only neg, having to sign every time

We had a great holiday in Veranda! Hotel has lovely pool area and pool bar was nice with daily changing cocktails. We did not upgraded for sandy lane as we felt it’s not needed. Snorkelling in the hotel beach area was good, not the best in the island but good. We were happy to walk for some restaurants nearby. Service was generally good, even our check in was a bit hustle. We would like to say a special thanks for housekeeping lady Ranee, what a lovely lady and great service! Thank you! Overall great place to stay and explore the island. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was as described when I booked. We were allocated a room on arrival although we were a bit early. We managed to get a room on the quiet side of the hotel with the pool just a few steps away. Food at the buffet was good at breakfast and lunch. We only ate at the buffet dinner a couple of times. The privilege restaurant dinner was always good. A few names need mentioning for their great service during our stay, Anoop and Akshay amazing bartenders at the 2 different bars, Amand our regular waiter at the Privilege restaurant. Never seen anyone run around like him. And the room was kept perfect by Lutchmee. Te beach although not private was very well maintained. The sunset views were amazing. A few suggestions for improvements that we already mentioned to the management; - Need improved bakery as the desserts were too boring and old style. - Need more staff in the kitchen and waiters as food refilling was slow. - Better cushions for the dining room chairs. - The quiet side of the hotel is next to a marriage hall and it does get loud in the evenings and night almost ever other day. Management need to ensure that the noise/music is lower in volume and stops at the legally approved time and not go on late into the night. - Free massage voucher is only valid for 48 hours but no one told us and we could not use.

Das längere Warten zu buchen hat sich gelohnt. Preise variierten immer wieder. Tolles Hotel, in dem wir (Mutter & Tochter) uns immer willkommen fühlten. Sauberes Zimmer, saubere Anlage (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen), das Essen ist abwechslungsreich, große, all inclusive Getränkekarte, Wi-Fi selbst am Strand. Weiteres konnte auf Nachfragen arrangiert werden. Pool ist ok, vllt etwas klein, aber wir waren eh nur am Strand. Da der an einer Lagune liegt, ist das Wasser nicht so klar, aber durchaus zum Schnorcheln geeignet. Mit dem Shuttle oder zu Fuß erreicht man aber nach einigen Minuten einen öffentlichen Strand mit mehr Schnochelmöglichkeiten. Den Hotel-Fahrservice vom/zum Flughafen haben wir nicht genutzt Suntranfers bzw. Mauritours kann ich nur empfehlen, auch für "abgesicherte" Ausflüge. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Truly excellent hotel in a stunning location right next to the sandy beach. Loved the infinity pool in the Sandy Lane section which is lovely and quiet. All the staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Special thank you’s to Asha, Kavi, Sunida, Anoop, Anu, Damien and Sara who went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly enjoyable. Could not fault this hotel and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The ocean, palm tree and pool view from the big balcony was calming. Relaxing sunbeds facing the ocean, beautiful swimming pool. Nice barbecue station in every balcony, huge bathroom, nice shower.

It's always nice when the agents have a cold bottle of water in the fridge and a glass of juice for you on arrival, thank you it makes a difference. Beautiful apartment, impeccably clean and ultra modern, has all the bells and whistles than one could possibly need or want. Very comfortable beds, fast internet, smart TV etc. The property is clean and the pool(s) and gardens are perfect. The cleaning staff and manager were amazing, thanks for everything and being so friendly and helpful. There is a great supermarket just down the road (Chez Popo) and my favourite beach is right in front of that supermarket. If you are looking to swim and snorkel in the sea you'll need a car or scooter to get there, they are both just over 1km away. Everything in the house + property was perfect, the owners may need to look at getting an conditioner in the main lounge of the penthouse suite in the future as it does get quite warm in summer.

I've never stayed somewhere that matches it's pictures. It was disconcerting in the best way. The sea view every morning was glorious and the pool was excellent. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the property. The staff are excellent. From the pick up at the airport and throughout our stay, everything was great. Huge thank you to James, Keenan and Anouska for their professionalism and helpfulness. Coming back to stay at this property is more a case of when and make sure its longer this time. I wish I was exaggerating but I can be quite picky and the fact that I was happy made my fiance really chilled ;)

Very spacious . I liked the fact that we had the sea view from the living room and kitchen. Housekeeping staff ( Prema and another lady )work thoroughly They emptied my kitchen bins almost everyday They tidied up every 3 days. The admin staff were excellent too. I could text Vimla any time if I had any queries Wendy arranged for my horse riding session over the weekend. Garden and swimming pool attended to by staff every day. Very nice experience.

Lovely stay at Villa Narmada, the flats are very cute. There is a nice swimming pool and lounge area. You are right next to supermarkets, bus stop and taxis line. Very close to the beach too around 10 minutes by walk. Location is brilliant.

The staff is very kind, each and every one of them. Maybe not too swift in replying the emails, that has to be improved, for sure. The structure is in a great spot, 5 minutes walking to many restaurants and to the beachfront, however it is pretty quiet given the fact that it is located in a secondary alley. The room is huge and has all the facilities for cooking, if you want to dine inside, and it had a lovely patio with pool view where you can chill out. Breakfast was nothing special but anyway was good and did its job. The room was cleaned every day, but definitely not thouroughly, they could do a lot better on that aspect. I had hair both in the shower and on the kitchen floor (and I'm balding, so I dare anyone to say it was mine!). The pillow cover was stained from the beginning and never changed. And please, provide at least one little soapbar or something to shower...I get that this is a cheap accommodation (and I always bring some emergency stuff), but a hotel soapbar costs pretty much nothing and makes every guest happier.

We had B&B and ate outside for warm meals, hence no chance to test the cooking fully. Small downsides, its a bit noisy on the northern part of the hotel, where there is no wall to the closeby busy road. I would have hoped for wifi in all the rooms, but access at pool and resto was also quite sufficient. Overall we were very happy and at the price of 118 USD we paid we felt very happy to have had a good service in return.

From the start to the end of my stay at Coin de Mire Attitude, I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel, with its beautiful and comfortable facilities, and with the high quality of service. The hotel is a few meters away from a beautiful beach with stunning views and with complimentary water sports facilities, including kayaking and boating. The hotel also has two fantastic swimming pools in a beautiful setting. I spent three nights at the hotel on a solo getaway. I was treated as royalty. One afternoon, a complimentary fruit platter was delivered to me as room service, as a gift from the hotel manager, whom I met only the following night when he came to my dinner table to meet me! The staff were genuinely helpful, friendly, and kind toward all guests. I visited the hotel spa for a number of treatments, including a relaxing massage and temporary henna tattooing, and I was very impressed by the quality of the treatments and the relaxing atmosphere. Included in the price, I was given complimentary buffet breakfasts and dinners. The food was absolutely outstanding. The hotel is a walk or short bus ride from Grand Baie, and the city bus runs to and from Grand Baie every fifteen minutes. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a relaxing getaway in a tranquil setting, whether you enjoy water sports or simply would like to rest on the recliners by the pool, I am certain that you would enjoy your stay here.

Coin de Mire was a surprisingly amazing hotel. We didn't expected that much of a service, when we booked our 3 nights stay. They had 2 beautiful pools, one of them is surrounded by too many palm trees, swimming in it feels magical. Next to the pool the have a food truck that sells delicious local food like roti or bajis for 1-2$. We prefered the streets food over the main restaurant at the entrance. Thanks Leena for the introduction to street food! Next to the Food-Truck, they offer a dining experience where they only serve a local food fusion with a fine dining experience. Looks very cosy, tastes delicious. It was the best dining experience we had in Mauritius for our 2 weeks stay. The rooms are big, cosy, and felt luxurious compared to the other hotels way stayed at. They offer various activities through out the day on site ...cooking classes, rum tasting, stand up paddling, yoga..depending on the weekday. The location is great enough to discover the island by car. the beach is right across the hotel, it's not a nice one, but it gives you a great view. Coin de Mire is a hotel we would book again any day! We felt like getting spoilt. Thanks Vishal for making us feel special.

A great 3.5 star hotel with excellent service. The people working there really wanted you to have a good time and served to all needs and wishes. Very accommodating. The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. Also the pool was great but not heated so too cold to swim in. But since this period is not so hot it was ok, nevertheless it would be nice to take a swim in a warmer pool. Enough sun beds for all guests. A very nice hotel, nice and well kept grounds and great staff.

Insgesamt war das Hotel sehr gut. Die Anlage ist ansprechend gemacht und sauber. Es wird sehr viel lokales Essen angeboten, was ich persönlich sehr gut finde. Es gab jedoch auch immer internationales Essen für jeden Geschmack. Insgesamt war das Essen auch fast immer gut. Unser Zimmer war sehr ansprechend, aber auch nur für Paare (das Bad war nicht abgetrennt). Wir hatten leider Ameisen auf dem Zimmer. Nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen haben wir ein Spray bekommen, das wir regelmäßig anwenden mussten. Das war es allerdings. Außerdem waren die Handtücher für den Pool Mangelware und wurden ab 16:00 nicht mehr aufgefüllt, obwohl der Pool bis 19:30 geöffnet war. Leider waren die wenigen Handtücher, die vorhanden waren öfter auch nicht richtig sauber.

For budget-friendly accommodation, La Tonnelle was incredible. In the North of the island, it is quite a long way from the airport and off the luxury bus route, but just across the road from balmy, beautiful (extremely hot) Trou aux Biches beach and barely 5 minutes walk from Grand Popo Supermarket and the stop for local busses. The staff were friendly and the managers - Dennis is definitely our favourite - kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained, air-conditioned, and everything worked. The breakfast was a basic buffet, but what took the experience to a whole new level was the evening meals, with all the guests eating a three course set menu together, cooked or supervised by Dennis. This was not restaurant or hotel food - this was cooked by a talented and imaginative man who genuinely enjoyed giving his guests an experience to remember. Smoked marlin, Swordfish, octopus, pan-seared beef, hearty stew...I could go on, but just thinking about those fantastic meals makes me wish I was back there...

The People were the best, the staff/owner and the guests. Having a different dinner every night, sitting all together and listening to all kind of story's. We wished we could've stayed longer and we're definitely coming back. The owner helped us with every question or wish we had, some of the nicest, heartwarming persons I met during the last time of travel. Thank you and hope to see you soon. There are also some Restaurants and Streedfood we tried and there is also a nice Beach not to far away. We also booked a massage in the hotel and we can recommend that also.

Our stay at La Tonnelle guest house was a truly amazing experience. The owners are wonderful people, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and who helped us a great amount in planning and executing our excursions (which was not always simple because we were travelling with a young baby), but most importantly they made us feel at home and amongst family. The staff is also wonderful, and very friendly. The guest house area is very pleasant to hang out, and a beautiful beach is very close by. The food is very good, especially the creole-inspired dishes.

What a fantastic find! The guesthouse is directly opposite a great beach and a short distance to Grand Baie and other popular beaches. The room was big and airy, with a lovely private patio. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a choice of cold and hot items. The best part was the (optional) dinner - delicious food served family style. It’s a chance to chat to other guests and experience authentic Mauritian cuisine. The hosts, Marlene and Gert, went out of their way to make it a fantastic stay, including organising excursions. Excellent value.

Tasty cocktails and Delicious homemade local meals for dinner cooked by the Master Chef Valerie with a big dose of love. Sharing the dinner table with the other guests it’s a very nice experience. This place Feels like home. Tips: The Catamaran Cruise to the Northern Isles trip it’s a must do! The staff will help you to book it at the best possible price, the rent a car as well.

We wanted a week of complete relaxation and that's exactly what we got at Le Recif. Our room was on the first floor above the swimming pool and we were a bit concerned that there might be a lot of noise. There was none. Our room was very nice and well maintained by the staff. We used to get a beer at the small local supermarket to drink on the balcony after a day sunbathing and swimming. It was a good way to try out local beers. For everything else we used the hotel bar. The bar and restaurant were good. The food was varied, very tasty and plentiful. We ate one night at the upstairs restaurant and enjoyed that very much. The wine in the restaurant was fairly average and as we'd just come from South Africa, it also seemed very expensive - but no more so than in Britain. The watersports were great fun and the boys at the boat house were very helpful and supportive (for first time water skiers!). The staff of the hotel were wonderful. Everyone from the manager who met us on arrival to the guard at the gate, was friendly and helpful. This hotel was a great find and gave us exactly the holiday we wanted.

Hotel was small and cosy with very friendly staff.lovely views and a wonderful pool. We had an amazing time. We only went because my daughter was over there, as we have never travelled so far before, but it was so good I would love to go back again. The Hotel manager was extreamely helpful as our plane connection in France was cancelled coming back. he was so helpful and phoned the Airline to confirm if the strike was on or not. Our Booking with Expedia on the other hand, was most unhelpful, and they did not even tell us the flight was cancelled until we got to the airport. After a 12 hour flight we wouldn't have wanted to try finding hotels etc etc, and we would not have been able to cancel our transport home from LHR. Therefore i was able to sort out further accomadation and transport etc etc. Due to the helpful hotel manager Raymond.

What a gem! This 3 star hotel is more like a 4 star hotel than many we have stayed at. It was the perfect getaway! The interiors are somewhat basic but stylish and modern and very island style. Our room was, in my opinion, one of the best rooms. You walked straight out of the bedroom onto the poolside and down to the beach. What a pleasure! The room was spacious, clean and there was a bar fridge. The seaviews and the sunsets were stunning. The staff was very helpful and aiming to please. The breakfasts were varied and tasty and they lasted us easily until dinner. The dinners were the only give away that this hotel is a 3 star hotel. The food was a bit bland and boring. We will definitely return, but next time we will probably go for the breakfast only option.

We stayed at the recif during our honeymoon. We received a warm welcome from the staff. The hotel room was comfortable and spacious. The swimming pool though small was the highlight; facing the ocean. The restaurant at the hotel was french that served buffets for breakfast and dinner. Special arrangements were made in food preparations to suit our indian taste buds :). Music and dance performance were held during the evening times. We rented a bike and a car to explore the island with the help of the staff. We also made use of the boat house affiliated to the hotel for Kayaking & other water sports. Overall an excellent experience and fully recommended by us. :)

We stayed 8 nights. On arrival they handed us the key of a not so nice room, garden room on the rear of the hotel close to the road, devided by a wall. We complained about the noise and the next day they moved us to a perfect room with see view. Striking sunset view! The food was ok, Wifi a dissater but we were on holiday so not a problem. Nice facilities like, pool, terrace on the beach and nice loungers. The best thing of the hotel was the manager Kevin. He does everything to make your stay pleasant! We would go back again.

Nice hotel but sadly was cold for me as I visited in their winter season - not through choice as I was attending a wedding. Pools were too cold - would have been more comfortable if hotel had offered a choice of a heated pool. Room was as advertised - quite comfotable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel surrounding is stunning! Very beautiful! When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted with a cocktail and cooling flannel. From previous reviews, I've noticed that some people complained about the slow check-in. However despite check-in being at 3pm, I was shown to my room before then with no fuss. For those arriving earlier than 3pm, and unable to check-in early, there is an 'arrival/departure lounge', which has lockers and showers. The porter who showed me to the room was very friendly and helpful. There is so much to do within the hotel grounds, that there is little need to actually leave the grounds! There's horse riding, tennis, archery, water sports, a spa, bike hire and so much more. I used the spa during my stay, again the surrounds are beautiful! Although I didn't use the service, the waiters around the pool seemed to come around relatively frequently. The hotel staff were all very friendly, and willing to assist if needed. The only downside to the hotel is the location - it's a little isolated, however I wouldn't let that put you off it. If I go back to Mauritius, I would defiantly stay at the Maritim again.

I stayed here on a business trip , which meant I didn't really get a chance to sample all the facilities... and there are plenty such as a Golf Course. The check in was very quick and I was offered a welcome drink. The room was big with a sea view . The Free Internet was very good in the room and restaurants/pool area. Luxurious sunbeds. I was on a half board basis and only ate in the buffet restaurant, but the food was really good every day. I have been to Mauritius a few times and this hotel is on the West Coast , I think I prefer the East coast as I didnt see the beautiful turquoise colours in the sea on my trip, although that may have been related to the cyclone that had just passed over the Island.

Our second stay at Maritim Resort & Spa. Two years ago we had an amazing relaxing time. On this occasion my daughter had her Civil Wedding Ceremony at the hotel. The staff were so organised, friendly and everything was just superb, beautiful on my daughter's special day. A dream comes true. Loved everything at Le Maritim. Our favourite is The Spa... Hotel, Beach, Pool, Food, Staff, Spa, services were great. We would recommend this hotel 100%. Already looking forward to our next stay there! Go All Inclusive and enjoy the time of your life.

Great location and easy walk to the beach. Staff was exceptional- attentive, helpful, and available. Two pools were great and as we left, they were decorating for Christmas! Sad that we had to leave.

I found the effort done by the new Management. From where they were and what has been done. They are really dedicated to the progress in the hospitality and am more than happy of my recent stay there. Staff are friendly and very down to earth and ready to satisfy all their clients. You really feel at home. Thanks to the Management and the entire staff.

We stayed here for 4 nights with me and my husband and two children (aged 7 and 4) and my parents in law. We had a fantastic family room that had a main room with the bed looking out onto the balcony with a stunning view right onto the beach and the pool. This room also had a sofa and chair, TV, desk and wardrobe, off the main room was the second bedroom with twins beds for the children, it was great they were in a separate room so when they were asleep we could close the door and have a drink / or watch TV and not disturb them. They bathroom had a massive bath and separate shower and the whole room was also a good size. My parents-in-law were right next door, so easy for the children to go between rooms. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, although the responses times to get drinks / food at the bar was a little slow sometimes. The staff at the kids clubs were exceptional, they were all so lovely and great with my children, Nadia, Clarin and Jessica will not be forgotten by our children for a long time, lots of arts and craft, feeding the fish, etc. They seem to really care for our children (it helps that there were very few children at the time so they were often the only ones there). As a result we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the two pools (thankfully heated as it was winter and although the sea temp was still lovely it was nice to swim in a warm pool), the spa, the well equipped gym, the watersports and the beach.

A very good and self contained resort hotel. Hotel provide free of charge sea activities like snorkeling, coral watching, kayak etc. The swimming pool is a heated pool and it is so nice to be in the pool. Suana, Steam Bath and Jacuzzi are also nice. They have sandy beach but the sea is with a lot of stones. Every Tuesday they have IHG Members’ cocktails party at 6pm. Wednesday night has show. So overall is a nice stay.

It was a great trip which we really enjoyed - staff were helpful and responsive and we loved the pools and the activities which we could have done a lot mroe of - the food prices in the restaurants and the prices for activities not in the "package" were incredibly expensive - sometimes 2 or 3 times what you would pay outside the resort which meant we often left the resort for these

We were at Intercontinental for a week and I must say it was a very good experience and I would definately go back to Intercontinental. Our room was a family room with sea view. It was near the coco bar and Senso restaurant and more importantly near the pool:) My boys loved swimming there and me and my husband explored the other facilities the resort offered for its guest like boat ride, kayaking, water skiing etc. The experience was awesome! We had food at Senso Restaurant and at Coco bar and I must say that their food quality is amazing with so many different things to offer everday, especially the fresh fruits :) The staff is very friendly and polite, always ready to listen. I really liked Halla and Joenathan. Also Arun and many more. House keeping could do more, though they did their best at cleaning , they could improve in repleneshing daily things without being asked for. For example like if they saw that the body lotion, sweetener etc had been used up, they should have immediately restock it. I had to call them a lot if times to get these things.

C est un endroit calme et reposant après les journées plage ou les journées excursions. L hôtel est très bien situé, on peut facilement se déplacer à pieds pour aller à la plage et au centre de grand baie et aussi prendre les bus ou les taxis très bon marchés. Le personnel est très agréable, accueillant et souriant. La direction met aussi à notre disposition un chauffeur qui nous fait découvrir les plus beaux endroits de l ile et il devient vite un ami tout comme l ensemble du personnel et aussi des gérants. Une seule envie: Y retourner le plus vite possible

This is such a lovely place we had excellent service the staff are so lovely it’s perfect. And guess what they have breakfast in the room, simply said we had the time of our lives. One thing we didn’t like the light guard didn’t like us coming late from party and complained so much, we felt a bit odd, but later he told us he wanted us to be safe and early home we had such a lovely time thank you Expedia and Stela Rina we for ever love you.

Great stay at Stella Rina, a new hotel at Grand Baie. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable. Breakfasts and diners are also very good. There is a small beach close to the hotel but if you have a car or if you take a taxi, you have the nice beach of Mon Choisy, close to the hotel. Staff is very kind. A lot of excursions or activities are proposed by the hotel, so you can spend a lot of days there. We recommend it!

La chambre spacieuse est très propre et la literie très confortable . Le petit déjeuner juste comme il faut et s' il vous manque quelque choses , vous l' obtiendrez . Et le tout dans un endroit calme bien situé à proximité de la plage et des shopping , nous reviendrons .

We were both so happy and really enjoyed the room and the view everyday! Being seated on our balcony for sunset was pretty good after a quick swim in the private pool ;) The only disappointing thing was the reception staff, who we thought were very rude, not paying attention to you when you walk to the reception desk, and seem not enjoying giving you any information about the surrounding area...pretty much: do it yourself. Also disappointed with the staff meant to promote the hotel activities such as snorkelling, banana boat, kayaking...They dont do anything and when you do an activity with them it goes too quick that it seems you're disturbing them.. On the other side, the bar staff was nice, which was much appreciated for a drink at the end of the day. Overall the hotel is very good, very well located, nothing too fancy and really good to relax and enjoy some time off with the simple things :)

The hotel is very well situated, walking distance to many other restaurants. The food at the hotel is not good at all. If a little bit more attention is given to the cleanliness, it will be excellent. Some of the staff don't care, for e.g. , there are big signs do no use the towels from the rooms at the pool, use only the pool towels provided, but they do not provide them, when you ask them for pool towels, they say they will bring it & do not pitch up at all. Also they have a security that walks around, he has no uniform, so u don't know who he is, and sometimes he sits outside playing this loud music on his phone.

The last thing you want to do when you arrive at a hotel is to fill in an on-line check-in, particularly when you are a foreigner who has no internet. It takes forever to accomplish. Much easier to hand over your passport for photocopying. Our room was nice and quiet with a lovely pool view. The bathroom spacious with a bath and a shower. Unfortunately, 2 days of our stay we were without hot water and had to use an inferior bathroom at the other end of the complex. Windows in our room needed a good cleaning. We took advantage of the glass-bottomed boat trip which we enjoyed. It was too windy to sit on the beach while we were there but we swam in the pool. Vegetarian food was great the first night with a good choice. The second night was a great disappointment. Very little was on offer. For about £24 it was a waste of money and that was without drinks. Despite notices warning of stray cats and dogs, people were still feeding them and the cats were a real problem begging at the tables in the restaurant. Very safe on-site parking.

We have stayed here 3 times in the past 10 years. Excellent value for families. Clean rooms and spacious "villa" style apartments with living room and full kitchen. Nice pool, bar and restaurant. The half board with breakfast is a good combination. The hotel has a sandy beach with sunbathing and fun beach activities but it tends to be windy in winter (NE exposure). The pool is very nice and great place to relax and convenient to the villas. There is a spa that provides a peaceful escape from other activities. The hotel staff is very knowledgeable about activities in the area and can make local arrangements for rental car, day trips, or sightseeing. They are very helpful and pleasant (particularly Jennifer at the front desk), and arranged a training session and open water dive for myself and my daughter...

After reading the previous reviews about this hotel I wasn't expecting much. But actually, I was blown away by the hotel. We had a beautiful room that opened onto a small swimming pool that was shared with 5 or 6 other rooms. The garden areas are really well cared for. The hotel has its own but of private beach. The breakfast buffet was of a really high calibre. We are in the restaurant on two evenings, and the food was amazing. The hotel has its own boat service where they will take you out for snorkel trips, or water skiing. Twice a week they have a glass bottom boat. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and if I return to Mauritius, would stay there again.

We stayed in a sea-facing room on the ground floor. A floating jetty was 30m away and one could snorkel or swim in the sea from this access. Swimming pool was a little closer. If this resort is looking to make any changes I would suggest increasing the size of the pool. But we did enjoy the pool. The rooms are very large and comfortable with the largest, most comfortable bed we've ever seen. Food was very tasty and catered for all tastes. Service excellent! This hotel is on the top of my list if we should visit the island again.

This hotel is lovely, a little tired on the decoration, but over all lovely. The staff just cant do enough for you, and as its a small hotel ihe staff really get to know you and becomes a very personal service. There isnt a beach in the hotel, but access to the sea via steps off a pontoon. Beautiful setting though, and yiu have the pool option from your sun longer too. Just a 5 minute walk is the public beach where there are water sports. The hotel dies have a gym, but very small and tired looking. Mainly cardio machines. The rooms are big and spacious and cleaned everyday. If you want to go out and eat, then there are a few places in walking distance, but to reach Grand Baie you can walk, but mostly its on the road and no pavements. However the bus stop is across from the hotel, and onky takes a few minutes to get there. Only 21 rupess each. The food in the hotel we could not fault, it was absolutely delicious.

A wonderful hotel and staff were the best. Food was great. The bedroom was always cleaned everyday and everyone treated you like royality. They have a great beach and swimming pool also activities like scuba diving.

Brilliant breakfast - extensive! Buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The staff were hugely helpful and always very friendly. Pool was clean, and the little jetty the provided sea-access was great. Hotel felt very private. Calm and relaxing vibes with no loud music - just wonderful, thank you!

We liked the hotel security at front gate made us fell Safe.. the layout was good not many steps . We were on second floor . So had a few . Good size pool a lot of beach lounge chairs. . The room was big in size nice balcony. On second and third floors. Patio on ground floor . Only 50 rooms so their is about 6 blocks ofrooms about 7 rooms per block not noisey. Right next door to beach few minutes walk and bus stops was close..only down side the TV had to watch it on u tube bit frustrating. And they don't give water in room. Beer prices are hotel prices.food was good but we stayed 17 nights so had to eat out couple of times food started taste the same . But would stay there again
