We had a 3 bedroom villa with private pool which was beautiful - only 3 or 4 years old, nice spec. Cleaners came twice in the 7 days we were there.

We stayed in an apartment with a mezzanine, this provided an extra room so you could have 3 bedrooms. The hotel staff we all fantastic and polite, spoke English very well. The golf club is immaculate. I would say the club house bar is quite expensive and serves basic food. You will need a car to travel around even to the club house, it's between 15mins and 30mins to the beach depending on which one you choose. Or 20mins to town or a restaurant. It takes 5 mins to drive outside the resort! The pool area is very clean with plenty of sun beds and a pool bar for refreshments. The swimming pool is incredibly cold, I thought they have to chill it but reception said they don't. I have no idea why it's so cold, probably why not many people stay by the pool. The apartment was cleaned 2/3times a week, the kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dish washer, hob, oven and microwave. I would stay here again.

Great amenities and very friendly and efficient staff whether in reception, restaurant, cleaning, security or pool side bar. 2 bed Apartment with mezzanine (3rd bedroom) was modern, built and finished to a very high standard, very comfortable and extremely well equipped for self caterers. A very good price from Hotels.com too. Good underground parking under each of the apartment blocks. Resort Club house restaurant sold man sized portions of what is probably best described as pub grub. If you want nouvelle cuisine this is probably not the place for you but if you like steak, eggs and french fries, prawn curry, chicken pies, spaghetti bolognese etc you should be happy enough. I certainly had no complaints at all. If you want more upmarket food there are some very good restaurants in nearby places such as Gale which offer good value. I would unreservedly recommend this resort for a holiday even if you are not a golfist and its also a great place for families with children. Nearby are large water parks and Zoomarine which kids will love. However, while the resort provides a shuttle bus service to nearby towns in my view to get biggest benefit of the area you will need a car to get around as it is a big resort (with two 18 hole golf courses, tennis courts, five a side football pitches and 2 swimming pools within the complex) and it is several miles from nearest town. Would I go back again? In a heart beat.

Beautiful grounds and extremely peaceful. The perfect place to unwind and you dont even have to play golf. Well placed for exploring the local area, short drive from the 2 bed, 2 bathroom apartment is extremely spacious and luxuriously fitted and furnished. Private underground parking, gated community, private patio area and large pool with plenty of sun beds.The entire complex is extremely clean and well maintained. Hotel was excellent. Rooms were beautiful spacious modern and had everything you could need. Internet was extremely good and the pool area lovely (even if freezing) played both course during my stay and would say worth a visit just for the golf. Lots of families at the pool so if you have young ones there are plenty of other kids to play with and would highly recommend this place. Only disadvantaged is it is not really close to shops so a short drive out to the shops is required if you want to cook or eat at the apartment. There is a shuttle bus to the beach but other than not a lot around the area. We had a car so was fairly easy to get about. We will 100% be back here soon

Perfect week at Rocha Brava Holiday Village. The complex is really spacious with a choice of pools. We used the largest pool area and we could always get sun-beds. Nice cafe/bar area with cooked food, drinks and icecreams. There’s astro turf around the pools so no muddy water as people mentioned in posts from last year. The gardens and planting around the complex look lovely. Spa and little shop on site. You don’t get bored of looking at the sea views! Our 12 & 14 year olds loved it. Air con worked really well in the apartment, which had 2 bedrooms and a good sized balcony with stunning views. Only negative = pillows do need an upgrade.

Nice clean village, lovely pools ( 2 are heated!) and gardens . The shops onsite had everything you need , there is also a spar 10 minute walk away, cafe food is basic but good. Some good restaurants near by , especially pashmina ( Indian) and the lighthouse bar /restaurant which has a fab menu and the food was delicious! Definitely go out the back gate by the end pool ( you need your key) and do the coastal walk into main town … it’s fabulous! We stayed in a ground floor apartment near reception. Apartment was 3bedroom, it was a bit tired and bathroom a bit mouldy but not too bad. Kitchen was basic but had everything we needed . Definitely visit the caves ! And go to Benagil beach and visit the beach club … views are amazing and food was good, a bit pricey but worth it.., it has a little pool and sunbeds Use bolt to get around as cheap and quick

Just LOVED it!!! We will go back there. The apartment was large and well furnished, we were on the ground floor with a large patio and lounge chairs and small table to eat outside, just steps away from the heated pool. In the front of our apartment was a pond with a small water fall so it was really relaxing, sometimes we could hear the frogs in the evening. There were many restaurants to choose from (in the complexe), really good food and drinks. A coffee shop with live music 3 times a week. 4 pools, tennis, mini golf, 2x markets, free shuttle bus. Beds were comfy, full kitchen, large living room. The resort was really clean, the landscape was immaculate. The walk by the cliff is accesible by the resort, we had a 2.5 hour cliff walk one morning, just beautiful. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Rocha Brava.

Do not miss out! This resort is HUGE! It has 3 pools, mini golf, tennis and a little shop on site. We booked for breakfast only and it’s quite nice. I do think those who are fussy could struggle as it’s either cereals, pastries, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, streaky bacon or ham and cheese. Theres no sausages/beans/fried eggs etc. The pools are a little cold but you get used to it. Getting a sun lounger is so hassle-free. We were in 410B and loved the room. It was big and private as it is top story. Would rather this than having a family above overlooking. The shop is pricy but we packed some snacky bits from home

The staff are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a whole variety of accommodation so choose wisely. I loved my room (268) quiet and sea view, good size. Very clean. There are more modern rooms available. Breakfast offers something for everyone . The pool area is a little tired and they really need to clean the algae from the pool and the glass bannisters of bird poo daily that are all around the pool area and the restaurant terrace. Well positioned as great beach (and lift down to it ) the better beach sunbeds are to the right not the ones in front which are too far from the water. Lovely boardwalk to the harbour bars / restaurants or it's a quick cab. Great little beach bar / restaurant to the left as you come out of the beach exit overlooking a calm small cove which is great for children.

Amazing and varied breakfast. Kind and dedicated staff. Well maintained hotel, keeping architectural features from the 60s. Confy room. Many esplanades, elevator for beach. Very decent indoor pool and spa. Nice swimming pool facing the beach.

The property was excellent- very clean - very relaxing, especially in the bar on floor 1 which played moody jazz quietly in the background - Nice!!😂- only stayed for 1 night in November, but the facilities, indoor pool; spa; gym on floor 1; outdoor pool etc. would have got used otherwise. My sea view balcony room on floor 4 was lovely, comfortable and clean and a great sun trap throughout the day with an uninterrupted view to the sea and beach approx 100m away. But whilst the fabric of resort was great, the staff really make this place 👏👏👏 - very friendly; efficient; can’t do enough for you 10/10. It’s a short 5 min taxi or a nice 30 min walk along the boardwalk alongside the beach to get to the village of Alvor itself which has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The buffet breakfast provided plenty of choice and was good without being top notch 8/10 I understand there is plenty of golf courses close by; so I would definitely rebook this place for a golf trip if I return in the spring/summer

Private pool was lovely, excellent service from reception staff (thanks Jorge & Andre). Very quiet and safe location. House itself was very clean and spacious. Renting a car to explore the area is recommended.

Second stay at this accommodation, can't fault it. Private pool and garden, reception staff friendly and helpful. Could easily have stayed another week.

Great villa, private pool really nice, plenty of parking. Easy walk in to town, 30 mins.

We stayed in a 4 bed villa with private pool the villa was lovely well stocked with everything you could need , spotless clean couldn’t fault it at all , the area is beautiful really nice place restaurants onsite were lovely miss pasta especially, restaurants have a takeaway menu so you can bring it back to your villa if you want to which is great if you have kids that won’t sit easy eating out , alvor it’s self is beautiful overall brilliant experience all the staff were really nice would definitely recommend

We (4 adults, 3 children) spent nice and relaxing holidays in a 4 bedroom villa with private pool in PRAINHA VILLAGE. The complex is well maintained and very green. To our positive surprise it was very quiet. Who can do without entertainment at the pool, children's disco and other events, is in good hands. The villa is very spacious, modern and equipped with a good kitchen. Unfortunately, the corkscrew was missing for a good Portuguese wine :-) Another small minus was that WiFi costs extra. The beaches nearby (<800m) are definitely worth a visit. One beach with the typical rocks of the Algarve, the other is a long sandy beach next door. Holidays in Prainha Village are highly recommended. We will be back :-)

family of 5. 3 childrens ( 12, 10 and 7) we booked the hotel direct and this was the start of the first class service. The hotel arranged the transfer from Faro for us and we always found the staff very helpful . Especially the restaurant, Monica and her team( more about that later) We stayed in a villa that was massive. 3 floors , 3 terraces, Lower floor consisted of 2 bedrooms ( suitable for 3 kids) and 2 bathrooms. mid level was the entrance , dining and kitchen, and the top was the lounge. The decor is slightly dated , however interior design was not the reason for the holiday and everything was clean and worked. The complex has a well stocked shop, several restaurants and 2 no. pools that we took full advantage of. The atlantico pool is fantastic. We were there for a week and should have stayed longer, We had a walk to Alvor (about 30 mins with plenty of stops for refreshments) , we had a day at splash and slide ( brilliant) and a little visit to Praire da rocha ( as expected) To conclude - we stayed half board and this made the holiday even better. Firstly we didn't have to cook! but secondly and more important Monica and her team looked after us every morning and night - what a team. Always smiling, welcoming and accommodating. Thankyou all.

Very recommended place to stay with the family (with kids). We enjoyed a lot the beach Tres Irmaos and nearby beaches. Very recommended Atlantic Pool and Restaurant in the Pool at the beach (Caniço). Thank you to all the people that works there, they treat us excellend and very professional. We’ll back for sure

Great staff, service and a really great location in middle of great towns of Algarve. Easy access to motorway and a supermarket close by. For Slide & Splash waterpark this is best location aswell. Will definitely stay here again 100/100!

Beautiful Villa with private pool, very clean, easy distance to coastal caves.

This was a beautiful hotel, in a gorgeous area of the Algarve. The villa style set up made the hotel feel like a little village! Our apartment was spotlessly clean & well equipped for our week long stay. The pool area was perfect, plenty of sunbeds & shade if you wanted it, & the bar & restaurant were open throughout the afternoon so you could have lunch without having to leave the pool. The restaurant was extremely reasonable in terms of cost & the food was delicious! All the staff were very friendly & always willing to help...they even opened the mini market shop for us before opening hours when we had just arrived so that we could buy water! The receptionist was also extremely helpful during our stay...he was more like a tour guide! We frequently used the shuttle bus to the closest beach, Caneiros, & the town of Cavoeiro, which meant we cut down on our traveling costs! Perfect resort for small children, the pool area is safe and they also organise games like water polo. You would probably need a car if you had children & wanted to do lots of sightseeing to the neighbouring towns/villages, & also to get to & from the airport, although our party of three adults managed just fine using the free shuttle buses & taxis which were quite cheap. My only criticism of the whole resort is the very bad female singer, who currently sings each Wednesday....awful!! All in all, a great resort & a great holiday! destination! The photographs here don't do it justice!!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. This is our second visit. Only reservations was that stayed in this complex about 10 years ago and it does need updating as it is getting dated. We only stayed 6 days but the cleaning service was excellent we had clean towels everyday and the villa was cleaned everyday. The entertainment could improve as the lady running it set up the water polo to only then disappear for a couple of hours before coming back to collect the equipment. Check-in was very efficient, reception team had very good English and were very helpful. However the Manager of the Hotel was quite evasive and did not deal with our complaint. We wanted a full English Breakfast as this was advertised till 10:30am but we turned up at 10:10am to be told that no chef and we could only have continental breakfast and it was too late for breakfast. The lady was very rude and we went to see the manager to explain that we would not be eating at the Restaurant because of this and they had lost our custom for the rest of the holidays. Pool area very good never had to reserve sunbeds or rush to get one on a morning. What would benefit this complex is an indoor pool or a second outdoor swimming pool.

room is surprisingly big, has everything a cottage rent has. swimming pool water is clean and pool side is tidy. the resort is well maintained. its location is not very close to the beach, need to have your own transportation. we have a rental car so it is not a problem.

Overall was a nice stay at Colina Da Lapa Villas. There was a few issues with the booking process that could have been handled better, we was travelling with an 11 month old and therefore needed a highchair and cot but was being passed back and forth between booking agent and the villa itself to confirm availability on this, was a bit stressful trying to sort this, and only got final confirmation a few days before our travel date. Villa was a good size, are quite dated now on the inside and the pool had quite a lot of chemicals in meaning our eyes really struggled after trying to have a swim in them and that limited how much we actually used the pool. Complex itself stated had a supermarket on it but thats now closed down and nearest one was a 10 minute walk along a busy road, not ideal start when just trying to get basics. Villa also doesn't have any kitchen basics in, salt, pepper, cooking oils etc so we had to get all this and leave behind what we didn't use. Overall was a nice week away but a few things to note on the villas. Try to avoid a villa next to the busy road as well as youll be listening to traffic all day whilst trying to relax.

The Unit we got is a pretty large apartment like, plenty of room, good side bathroom and kitchen and the living room with balcony was just perfect. The weather in Alvor is just awesome, not too hot, not too humid, not too cold, just perfect. no need for air conditioning. the high speed internet and IPTV worked awesome and I was able to sign into my Netflix account easily. I wish I had more time to explore the region. I would love to come back to Aldeamento do Prainha and explore more.

Everything was perfect but no AC in the apartment. Nevertheless, the quality/price was excellent.

Had an Amazing stay in the family apartment with a wonderful pool. It's a massive apartment all rooms kept well and clean only downfall was the kitchen it's needs updating and we had a leak in the kitchen next to the light which made the floor very slippery my little one had a fall we did tell them but nothing was done while we were there which was a shame but that hasn't put us off staying again it was absolutely beautiful just have to be very careful of the floors as they can be very very slippery with little ones and with the pool aswell. Has a great bbq area the rooms are all a great size and the views are lovely.

Very spacious and comfortable Villa with an amazing pool and outdoor sitting & landscaping area. We spent almost the whole stay around the pool! You also get a lot of privacy with the self-standing house and proper fencing. The hotel staff was very friendly as well.

Everything, the villa was like something out of a movie. The space was brilliant and you had your own area that wasn't too close to other villas. The pool was a good size and the outside chairs, sunbeds and bbq area were well kept and a great addition to the place Taxi's were easy to hire and the small towns around Colina are only a 5-10 min taxi ride away. Great location to be out of the way but close enough for evening meals and drinks

The 3 bed villa we stayed in was absolutely fabulous. There was 6 of us staying and we found It was clean very spacious and had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. The private pool was large and made our stay.

We stayed in a villa with a private pool. It had everything we needed and felt very comfortable. Town/beach was a 15 minute walk with lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel also has a shop and restaurant on site.

I’ve been to QdP 6 times now, staying in various accommodation types from apartments to 6 bed villas with private pool & I can honestly say that I’ve always enjoyed my stay 100% … from the poolside bars to the on site restaurant the local shop to the reception everyone without fail has tried their best to enhance our stay & their have succeeded… as far as I’m concerned you can’t get a safer bet for money well spent than QdP….. can’t wait to return for the 7th episode in June 25…

It was a 3 bed villa with private pool. it was set in lovely gardens. The house was clean and spacious. It had 2 en-suites, washing machine, well stocked kitchen with hob, oven, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. The towels were replaced and beds were made 3 times during a 7 night stay. small Spar shop on site and another larger one about 10 mins walk away. The establishment offered a limited shuttle service to the town at 11am and 4pm. We visited in April. There is a restaurant on site serving good value Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. Very helpful and pleasant staff in the resort. Plus the breakfast offerings in the bar by the shared pool area were tasty and affordable. The resort has tennis courts, mini golf, volleyball and ping pong table to keep the kids happy.

Absolutely loved our stay at this villa. The hosts ( who were lovely) were there to meet us on our arrival and show us around the property. They had good local knowledge and informed us of nearby shops , restaurants etc. The villa itself exceeded our expectations, it was really clean and comfortable. the beds were comfy and the pool area was well maintained and clean. Also the sun terraces and gardens around the property gave a bit of rest away from the pool. in summary it was brilliant.

I had a lovely 2 night stay at my guest house, Manuela and her staff were more than welcoming, making it feel like you were staying with a family friend. The rooms are clean and the pool area is lovely, making it feel more like a hotel than a hostel. It's a bit of walk from the beach but not too far. Would love to stay again.

Love the kitchen and widely open living room with a dining table, sofa and TV. The garden is pretty with a swimming pool and few chairs. The room is quite big and comfortable. This place is Close to supermarket and a shopping center which is very convenient for travelers.

Friendly staff from Argentina, cool rooms, silence, secure storage for your belongings, swimming pool and grounds, location—in contrast to the previous hostel, this one felt like a five-star hotel to me.

Lovely hostel, good living space and pool area. Great staff especially Sean who was very welcoming and helped create a great atmosphere in the hostel.

Good easy check in. The location of the room was good, the size of the room was huge. The bed and the lounge were in the same room but a wall partition could easily have been installed and neither area would have been compromised on space. The views from our room were very good. Nice size kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, full oven and microwave. Large bathroom with good quality towels. Beds were comfortable and linen was good quality. All lounge and bedroom furnishings were modern. The apartment was very quiet even though it was the summer season. Most of the guests go their to play golf so are out out all day. Good air conditioning. We had two terraces. A smallish one at the front that has the sun in the afternoon and was a perfect temperature to enjoy our breakfast. Then a very large terrace at the back which had the early morning sun and was nice to either use to sunbathe or for drying any washing. Impressive gym, very well equipped and had everything you need for a full workout. The accommodation is on a golf course and is quite a way from anything which we really liked. But it does mean you need a car when staying here. The pool and the pool area is well kept. Accommodation was full but the parking area was only half full. There are many nice places to visit whilst staying there such as Portamoa, Lagos, Ferragudo, Carvoeiro, Sukves and Alvor to mention a few.

Everything! All staff members - reception, housekeeping, restaurant and chauffeur were so lovely. Even after my reservation was over, reception staff offered me a few extra hours in my room until I left the resort as I was waiting for friends coming from faro airport to land, pick up our car and pick me up. They also offered me access to the pool, all free of charge as it was a hot day and wanted to make me as comfortable as possible! My friend organised a early birthday surprise with reception staff in our apartment which was absolutely beautiful. The staff members at the restaurant hold a special place in my heart. Me and my friend were definitely some of the younger residents at the resort and they never failed to put a smile on our faces. Genuinely cannot wait to come back to this resort and hopefully see these individuals again. All in all Pestana Gramacho Residences was the perfect spot to kick off my 20th birthday trip in Portugal. I have never felt so content with an established; my review says it all. 1000% book a stay here; I genuinely believe you’ll have the best time. Thank you for the amazing memories PGR! :)

Absolutely fantastic service from Paola and the team. They were more than accommodating when I asked for a late checkout and the driver for the shuttle was very friendly. The facilities were amazing and clean and the cleaner was cleaning all round the clock to maintain this. The resort is huge so the shuttle is needed but the Gramacho restaurant and supermarket is a short walk, say 5-7 minutes away from the residences. The pool was lovely and the room was large and spacious and super clean.

The staff were so friendly and lovely, especially the lady that helped us check out (unfortunately did not get her name before we left) Our room was perfect, beds were so comfotable, the pool area was gorgeous and quiet. The views were amazing. Breakfast was good although, as we did not own transportation I would have loved if they had offered some sort of car/golf cart to bring us as the breakfast area was a 15 minute walk, uphill, in 37 degree weather.

I love the big room and kitchen and pool and the view I was so tired of traveling for 3 weeks in Portugal this was by far the best value for your money. And best room we had

The property was clean, spacious and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need - no need to buy washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. As well as a private pool, it also has a BBQ and terrace which was wonderful to sit on at night to stargaze or in the morning for breakfast. The hosts were so nice, meeting us on arrival and sticking the kitchen with milk, juice, bread, eggs, wine and beer which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Really can’t fault any part of our stay or the villa.

We were met at the property by the host, Andy, who was charming and who provided us with an abundance of tips and recommendations for our stay. Our hosts had also left an array of provisions for breakfast, including lovely fruit. They also left some beer and wine. All three bedrooms have ensuites and there were plenty of towels for the pool. The pool and terrace areas are outstanding and we used the BBQ most days when not eating out. We had a car but thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beaches and along the cliffs. The house exceeded our expectations and we would happily return. Earth Cafe which is a short walk away was a real find as was A Gale restaurant.

A clean swimming pool and pool area, spacious and clean rooms, located at the end of a quiet cul-de-dac and positioned behind locked entrace gates.

Pool was a very good size, 2m deep at the deepest. Villa was cleaned midway through our stay and all bedding and towels were changed. Plenty of towels, also towels for use around pool side and to take to beach. Welcome pack was superb, even catered for people whom may have lactose intolerance. All en-suite bedrooms which was great for all of us. Spacious living areas and the outdoor space was beautiful. Less than 10 minutes walk to nearest beach, shop and restaurants just around the corner. We walked to Carvoeiro in just under 30 minutes, if you want to book a taxi it was only €3.75 using Uber and returning using local taxi was around €6. Carvoerio has plenty of choices of restaurants.

Property was in a beautiful location with views of the hillside from the front and side yard and the pool was private and could be seen from 2 of the bedrooms. The baths were clean and the beds comfortable. It was great to have a private bath attached to each bedroom. Hosts were great and had a notebook of useful information on suggested restaurants and places to see along with other books about best walking trails and beaches. They also provided wine and beer, juice, milk to start as well as a lovely fruit bowl. The pantry was well stocked with condiments and the basics needed to cook and was well stocked with pots, pans, coffee maker, utensils etc. They were quick to respond when we asked for advise on how best to see the Benagil Cave and when we needed help with getting the WiFi to work. Would stay there again for sure!

The villa is amazing, just like in the pictures, one of the best ones I've seen in Algarve on this website. It fit 8 of us with a small baby very comfortably. The location is amazing, just 10min drive from Portimao, with its amazing Playa da Rocha and good restaurants and also 5min drive from Alvor, which also has a nice beach and restaurants. The house is very large and our 1 year old baby just loved walking around and exploring every corner. The best part was the pool area, which has gorgeous garden around it, a barbecue and most importantly, a heated pool, which was the icing on the cake. Rooms were nice and spacious, beds were comfy and kitchen was sufficient. Host were super responsive and attentive, communication was really easy. We had an amazing time and might be returning back in the future!

Really amazing 2 bed villa with all the amenities you could want or need for a family. Gorgeous terrace nice and quite perfect for families. Nice pool The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful on arrival and they let us check in early.

The compound and the facilities are great for families. A restaurant by the pool makes it perfect for days when you just want to stay in.

The location was so safe and peaceful and the facilities were outstanding. Beautiful pool, mini golf course, tennis court, table tennis and even a selection of board games and books you could borrow at reception. The attention to detail by Vera in reception was outstanding. I have to mention the bar manager Diogo who was so attentive to the children and us as a family. The food was great he was a wonderful front of house manager and we loved going over to the restaurant in the evenings.

The house was clean and functional, well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher, kitchen utensils, etc. It was very quiet and with a nice terrace and common garden at the front. The swimming pool is lovely but unfortunately not heated so it was a bit early in the season to use it. However, the kids loved the mini-golf.

We enjoyed a lot our hree month stay in casa Feliz. The villa is spacious and confortable, the environment is heavenly. Its location is ideal, at few paces from the Gramacho’s Club House and the convenient small supermercado. The host was promptly responding to our questions, or little issues we had. Although the weather was not so much collaborating this winter, we were very confortable in the villa as the heating is really efficient. We took advantages of all the convenient appliances available in the house. The internet works well. The very well-maintained backyard and its crystal-clean swimming pool were of course one more opportunity to appreciate Casa Feliz : its name has been well chosen! Moreover, the golf courses of Gramacho, La pinta, and Silves which we had the chance to play on, are breathtaking and their layouts are interestingly challenging. Looking forward to come back to Algarve, we will undoubtedly choose Casa Feliz at Gramacho for a next stay.

We stayed in tent number five. And had a large deck Good morning sun. The facilities there are very complete. they have a beautiful pool with lots of lounging, and honesty bar, outdoor grills, a soccer field small climbing area and swing set for kids. there were mostly families here when we visited. it is a short drive up from the town where there are plenty of restaurants. The hiking nearby along the cliffs is fantastic. this was the 7th hotel / guest house we have stayed in on our visit through Portugal and the kitchen was the best appointed of them all. they provided a bottle of wine and water upon our arrival. there is even a very unusual heavy storm while we were there and we were perfectly dry and comfortable in our tent. Love the glamping.

We stayed in one of the glamping tents and it was fabulous. The kitchen was really well equipped! Even had a coffee machine! The site is beautiful, the pool area is absolutely stunning. We were welcomed on the Friday night with make your own pizzas and the the owners and of course Lisa and Phillip are just wonderful!

Olivier and Kim are lovely people, providing a relaxing and comfortable stay. The standard is very high throughout. Attention to detail is excellent. The resort has a nice pool and bar for cold drinks and there are many things for kids to do. The resort is within 10mins of the best beaches in the region.

The location is beautiful and you will just want to spend hours in the porch and the pool. The kitchen has everything you need for a couple of days. Even the knifes were very sharp! Which is not that common in short term rental. Attention to detail and the hosts are very friendly

The layout of the property was amazing, and the host, along with all the staff involved, were very helpful and accommodating to any queries or anything we needed. The pictures and description dont do it justice. It's even more beautiful in person, and the surrounding area is picturesque. We were a group consisting of 7 adults and 2 infants, and what I found amazing was that there were several areas you can gather together, or if you feel like it, you can find solitude or privacy. The kitchen and outdoor bbq area was fully equipped, and we were able to find everything we needed. The pool was a good size and was always at the perfect temperature, even in the blistering heat. It was everyone's favourite place to be during the day. And the hot tub was a hit in the evening.

Our apartment was beyond comfortable. it had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our family of five, very well stocked kitchen and towels for the pool as well. Always clean and we had the pleasant surprised that they clean and replaced towels midweek. Facilities were always spotless and ready for us to use. Pool, gym, pool bar. It's a perfect location since it's walking distance from the town of Ferragudo where you can find many restaurant options, cute walk to get ice cream and walking distance to the beach. To the beach is the most 5 min (and we had a 4 year old walking :) ). Also, we rented a car and we were 5 minutes from different beaches and close (between 20 to 40 min) to the main Algarve beach attractions like Carvoeiro, Benagil and Marinha. Also, if you wanted a more city like experience, you have Portimao 7 min drive with tons of restaurants, marina with lots of tours leaving from there (I recommend Discover) and the super markets like Lidl are a 5 min drive

The two bedroom apartment was just perfect with modern kitchen, spacious bedrooms and a hot tub on balcony. The swimming pool was a short walk from apartment and the pool bar was nice. A short walk to the beach, two nice restaurants at the beach, Club Nau worth booking in advance. Staff were friendly and the pool chairs over comfy and plenty of them. Decent gym with weights, equipment and treadmills.

The cleanliness of both the apartment bit also poolside ans reception area. Really comfortable sun loungers, really relaxed feel and environment. All the staff so friendly and pleasant from the maids to poolside bar staff. Great food , fairly priced drinks. Good gym facilities . Brilliant location few minutes walk ti the beach or into town for food. Went above and beyond to get our room early really early so we could check straight in!

I loved the comms before arrival. Flight into Faro airport landed at 10pm so needed an after hours access. Comms explained key pad and key safe and location of apartment. Very useful after a long day of travel ending with a 50 minute drive on unfamiliar roads in the dark. Welcome pack meant a nice cup of tea was available. In the morning our breath was taken away by the views from the balcony, the light, the space, the comfort. Our apartment was two self contained flats. Both with double beds and bathrooms. Our kids didn’t want to share so our 12 year old son let his 15 year old sister have the bedroom and he was given a spare bed in the living room. Although he ended up using the much more comfortable sofa for two weeks. Spotless and the staff were so very helpful. Pool was never too crowded with always room to find a sun lounger. Location was within 10 minutes slow walk to restaurants and bars of Ferragudo and 5 minutes walk to Praia Grande with it’s beach and cafe/restaurants. A little slice of heaven for two weeks. Would love to return.

The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed — including a well-equipped kitchen and a large, sunny terrace with a beautiful ocean view. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the beach and the charming village square filled with great restaurants and cafés. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the entire property felt safe, quiet, and very well maintained. The pool area was clean and never too crowded — ideal for a relaxing afternoon. We especially appreciated the free and secure garage parking, as well as the reliable Wi-Fi. Another thoughtful detail was that no deposits were required for keys or garage access — we felt trusted and welcomed from the moment we arrived. We recommend Vila Castelo Parque to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable base for exploring the Algarve.

Firstly, Carla is immensely welcoming and a very helpful hostess. The villa itself is beautiful, bigger than we anticipated and was absolutely immaculate including the pool which was cleaned several times during our week long stay. Overall an absolute treat - especially the pool and the large upstairs master bedroom with ensuite and private balcony. The area is lovely and quiet with good restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk.

I had a lovely stay here with my family, the Villa is beautiful and very spacious. The pool is the perfect size and there is a great outdoor area for eating, BBQs and relaxing. The kitchen has everything needed for making meals and there are multiple bathrooms/toilets throughout the villa. There are balconies with tables and chairs for eating/sitting outside. The beds and sofas were very comfy and we slept very well here. You can see the sea from the property. The town and restaurant square are a short walk with lots of variety. Thank you for a pleasant experience, I would highly recommend staying here.

The location of the villa was good. The villa itself was exceptional. Beautifully decorated, lovely furniture Superbly clean. Added extra were the games supplied. Outdoor darts, a throw bean bag game, football net. Lovely good sized pool. Carla the host left us a welcoming display of biscuits, nuts, crisps , wine etc. A mid stay clean was performed & it was exceptional. Never seen so many towels in my life. Lots of sunbeds and on arrival all had towels rolled which looked very welcoming. We had the upstairs bedroom en suite. Gorgeous room , fantastic bathroom & showers. Didn't want to leave.

the Villa was stunning ! so beautiful. the lady who greeted my parents was lovely, made them lemon tea, picked straight from her lemon trees. the decor was so creative. hand painted pictures by the owner. located in a great area, with plenty to do. the garden / pool area was something out of a brochure it was simply stunning. I cannot express enough how lovely this villa was. 5 star !

The property is beautiful and in a great location. We walked to town everyday. you can walk back uphill or take an Uber which was very easy. The pool was clean and the kids loved it. Carla met us the first day and was great! Would definitely stay again.

The villa was very spacious and had 3 en suite bathrooms. Everywhere was very clean and well kept. Air con in all bedrooms and the living room. The pool was great - shallow enough for my 3 year old at the shallow end. The location was so nice - a very nice neighbourhood surrounded by other villas. A couple of really great beaches nearby. We loved Pintadinho beach and eating at Molhe

Lovely spacious property with plenty of bathrooms so ideal for a group. The rooms were generous, bed comfortable and air conditioning a bonus. The pool was amazing, overall very clean and well looked after. Staff were super helpful and found us a great taxi driver who became our driver for the weekend!

A beautiful and spacious house full of Portuguese charm with a nice view. The beds are very large and extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is excellently equipped with everything you might need. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very well taken care of by the kind and helpful hosts. We liked it so much that we have already decided to return next year.

Great Villa in a great location, there is plenty of room in this villa even for large groups. It has a good size pool and roof terrace with loads of bars and restaurants in walking distance.

The locations was perfect, within walking distance of the town and the beach. A perfect place for a large family to stay, with plenty of bathrooms. The pool was beautiful and very clean.

The villa was very large with 5 bedrooms. We only needed 4 rooms as we were a small group. Only one bedroom was a double but my husband and I actually used a twin room and pushed the beds together to make a bigger bed. There was a very large living room and a good sized kitchen. The villa was so large you felt you could have your own space and not be on top of each other all the time. There were 4 bathrooms and they all had a hairdryer. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The pool was nice and the roof terrace area with beds were comfy. I loved being at treetop level amongst the birds and there was a view of the sea too. I also enjoyed sitting out in the garden and we had a bbq one evening. The location was great and we could walk to town and the boardwalk and nearby Centeanes beach very easily.

This is a really fun house for a large family, or several families, as there are different "wings" where everyone can have their own space. The rooftop pool was a huge hit with our kids. I also loved the central courtyard/terrace; it allowed us to eat outside but still be sheltered from the sometimes windy conditions of the area. The town of Carvioero is small but cute with a decent beach, good gelato, and the nice boardwalk along the cliffs (with Boneca bar). Totally recommend.

Lovely spacious villa with a good-sized pool that we all enjoyed. The villa was perfect for our family of eight, including a baby, grandparents, parents, and teenagers, as there was enough space for everyone. It is situated in a great quiet location, yet it's just a few minutes' walk to shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants and a couple of beaches.

Previous comments regarding this property mention 'the hill'. It's not too bad - we found it no problem. If you go to Carvoeiro, unless you're right in the centre, you're up a hill. They really aren't that bad and I'm 70+. Every picture I've seen of the pool at Sentosa does not do it justice (except for the ones we have taken). We've stayed in many villas in Carvoeiro and this has been the best pool. When the sun is shining it looks very inviting.

Lovely Villa, well equipped, comfortable & the pool is perfect. Great location. Really easy to get an Uber if you don’t fancy the walk up hill back, but it’s only a 15 minute walk from town.

The villa was a 10 minute walk into the town. The management company were super friendly. They knocked once to introduce themselves and see if everything was okay. We ran out of gas and had no idea how to change it. They were amazing and changed the gas can for us :) The pictures do not do the pool & villa size justice. It was so much bigger than we expected. We would definitely say here again.

Pool was a really good size situated in a lovely garden which is well looked after. Close to town although you needed to be fit due to the hill!! Safe was broken but was replaced within 24hours. Excellent service!

Gorgeous hotel to stay for any occasion. It is a 15 minute drive into Alvor and last couple of hundred metres is along a stone covered track. That saying it is absolutely worth the drive. The owners and other staff members are welcoming, friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. Quality of food provided is above many other establishments. Limited choice but cooked fresh and delicious. A dog friendly establishment which is truly dog friendly. Other than in the pool itself and the dining room your dog is welcome around the hotel. It is a small hotel with all room’s opening out to well planned seating areas amongst the plants and the pool. Areas available for enjoying the sun, quiet contemplation and socialising. The owners have ensured that the hotel is environmentally friendly, consciously adopting minimal impact on resources. Hotel and all rooms powered with solar panels. Will absolutely return for another visit when possible.

The hotel was lovely. It was off the grid and a perfect peaceful place to enjoy the night sky and the beautiful stars. The breakfast that is included is wonderful. A full spread with eggs, juice, charcuterie, fruit, pastry and coffee. Would absolutely recommend!

This hotel is luxury. Its has a beautiful setting with lovely well kept grounds. Its spotlessly clean. Staff are plentiful and can't do enough for you. The resort doesnt feel busy and no area is crowded. It felt exclusive. Pool areas are well kept and staff are there to assist. Waiter service at the pool is fantastic. The beech is down steep steps and is a relatively quiet cove. Staff are also on the beech with towels and sun loungers. The resort has a number of restaurants and I would advise looking at these in advance as information such as menus on site is very limited. We booked our evening meals just before flying out. Mini golf is a must, its a great little course. Room was spacious and had lovely superking bed and a balcony with great views. Our stay here was exceptional.

Beautiful resort. Well maintained. Lovely grounds with lakes and animals. Direct beach access. Plenty of towels for the pools and beach. Great lounges and pool service. Very kid friendly. Kids club is great with great activities for the kids - tennis, swimming lessons, yoga, boot camp, mini club. You really don’t need to leave the resort. The managers are brilliant. They try really hard to make sure you are comfortable and having a great stay. My husband loved playing golf at the resort. The health club cafe by the indoor pool is excellent. The ladies working there are absolutely wonderful, thoughtful and go out of their way for you. It was hard to leave. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful property! We stayed in the apartment adjacent to the property which was really more like a townhome with two levels and private entry. It was very spacious with a wonderful rooftop patio with two day beds. We finally made it to the health club on the last day of our trip and wish we would have made it there sooner. The indoor pool has a swim through to an outdoor pool with a patio and lounge chairs that were not very busy. The sauna, steam room, cold plunge and freezer room were great! All in all, great service all around, wonderful amenities and a fantastic property!

This is by far the most beautiful, relaxing and hospitable resort we have ever stayed at. Every bit of food and drink we ordered was a 10/10 in artful presentation and delicious taste. We loved all of the pools, the dreamy beach and beautiful grounds. The staff was absolutely lovely - we especially want to thank Osvaldo for the incredible hospitality, kindness, and pool side service. This was our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond with a welcome surprise in our room when we arrived - rose petals on the bed, champagne and a tart. WHAT a dream of a place!

We have stayed at many 5 Star accommodations, but Vila Vita Parc surpassed them all. Starting with the welcoming staff, moving to the beauty of the rooms, the beauty of the grounds, the utmost care shown to guest comfort, several restaurants to choose from, a divine breakfast, transportation around the large property. The pools were inviting and sparkling clean. There was also an adults' pool (under age 12 not allowed) which is appreciated. Beautiful views, beautiful everything.

First class accommodation, the apartments are spacious and clean. As is the pool and pool toilet facilities. Not the biggest pool in the world, but was more than sufficient for us and was never overly busy. Free safe in the room was a bonus, reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered the use of the luggage room on our departure to have a shower and freshen up with towels and toiletries provided all for free. This was my second stay and we will definitely be back.

Perfect location right in the town centre. Bars, restaurants and shops all within a minute walk. Beach roughly 500m away (7-10 min walk). Never an issue getting sun beds at the pool, no need to get up early to reserve them! Plenty of food options at the pool snack bar. Pint at the bar less than 4 euro. Rooms extremely clean. Absolutely lovely holiday and stay at Alvormar. Everything was pristine. Location central and perfect for us - mix of town and beach. We were on roof terrace, which was gorgeous in the evenings. Bird chorus in the cental palm area was beautiful. Great pool area, with shade and very reasonable cafe. Pool a little small but never overcrowded. Nice garden area too. Overall, it was fantastic and great value. Deserves it's 9+ rating.

The property itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms are large and have everything you can need. We had both an ocean view room and a garden view room. Both were comfortable and the outside space was comfortable for lounging. Though we walked, some people used golf carts to get around, which is a great thing if needed. One massive perk is that no matter what time you make your way down to the beach, there are covered huts available and plenty of chairs and towels. Having been to many resorts where you have to stake out your spot by 6am or risk burning, this is really fantastic. We also walked through the spa (which is massive) and used the gym. Both facilities were spotless with plenty of folks available to assist and answer questions. There are five pools on the property. I believe one wasn't operational, but it wasn't a problem. Spots by the pool are just as easy to get and most also have shade. The pools were cold when we went, so only a quick dip was possible.

Very clean and nicely laid out resort. Beautiful grounds, and views from restaurants. We had a second floor balcony garden room and it was superb. Amazing shower, bed and balcony with high quality chairs to relax in and enjoy the fabulous trees and shrubs. Best Turkey Club sandwich ever! Pools well kept and overall very quiet at the resort, gentle music by some pools. Beach very easy access compared to some nearby resorts. Amazing staff will assist with wine tours, boat tours, private taxis etc. Rueben went above and beyond for excellent customer service on several occasions. 100% recommend this resort, our favourite in the area!!

Everything. My husband, daughter and I had a fabulous stay in October 2023. The staff were all incredible and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a huge range of delicious things to eat. We already miss breakfast by the terrace every day. We were sad not to be able to swim in all the pools but this was only because it was a little chilly - we made great use of the heated pool! The beach was lovely too - amazing to have quiet and private space.

Wonderful resort! The pool’s water was super clear! Private beach with spectacular views and clean water. Amazing service - Derek, Bruno Encarnaçao and Lucia Lareo were amazingly helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Derek’s recommendations were spot on!! Loved the old town of Albufeira, very short drive. We initially looked at Vila Vita Parc next door but super happy with our choice to stay here. Loved the beach, pool, feel of the resort. All and all AMAZING 🤍

The host didn’t speak English but was incredibly patient and kind. Loved the attention to detail: They offered ground coffee rather than instant coffee or pods, which was a rare plus! Nowhere else on our vacation did we have access to fresh coffee. They gave separate pool towels, which made our stay so much more comfortable. It seems simple, but not every place we stayed at that had pools offered pool towels, and we had to keep reusing our shower towel soaked with chlorine. Loved the extra consideration.

The swimming pool was very clean and not busy even during August we were able to get sun loungers. The depth in the shallow end is 1.1m and in the deeper end is 2m it gets deep quite quickly so we stayed in the shallow bit. There was also a children's pool. The paddle tennis was very good too free hire. There was a table where we could sit down and have a break and a drink. The small restaurant near reception had drinks and crisps available, we didnt try the breakfast as we cooked in our kitchen. There were three bedrooms two single beds in two bedrooms and one double in the third. One large bathroom and a wc with a washing machine. Very spacious apartment with plenty of storage. Lovely kitchen fully equipped and easy to use and cook. The balcony had a lovely view with tables and chairs overlooking greenery and the sunset. The sofa had a pull out bed for an extra guest we used this in addition to the sofa as we didnt all fit on the sofa. Large dining table enough for all of us. Very big fridge freezer. Cleaning staff and reception staff were very friendly we had fresh towels daily and apartment was cleaned well. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. We were able to get groceries on uber eats easily as we didnt have a car. A car would be more ideal if you're looking to travel to different places.

Stayed here during Christmas so it was very quiet. We could've gotten into the pool during midafternoon when the pool water was warm enough to swim, unfortunately we hadn't packed our swimming costumes we though it was going to be cold but it wasn't , it was warm during the day and cooler at night. The villa is self was very clean,had everything we needed and the lovely cleaning lady came to clean everymorning. We all loved the breakfast, we requested for chicken instead of ham as we don't eat pork and they were happy to do so. We loved the Praia de Carvoeiro beach and the shops and restaurants around it. It was very hot and the water was warm surprised that it was their winter . It was very quiet calm an relaxing only a few families there. After relaxing on the beach we browsed the holiday shops around and we had dinner at the Kings Palace Indian Restaurant their food was delicious 😋 Because we visited in December most places were closed. Our taxi driver booked a session for the kids at the play centre which was 4 minutes drive away from the villa . Its called Radical Fun Centre, the kids loved it and there is also an outdoor play area it is a must visit. And the walk round the villa is breathtakingly beautiful, you see all the hills from there.

The checkin was prompt and the gentlemen was very friendly and helpful especially after having just had an argument with a terrible taxi driver. The apartment was bright and spacious and very clean. I wish the pool was heated as the weather was lovely but too cold to swim in an unheated pool. The kitchen had most everything you would need except ice cube trays. The details said I had a washer and dryer unit but after calling I was told that particular unit did not actually have a washer so I had to air dry the clothes outside on the patio, no problem except some rain. The apartments are in a residential hilly area. It’s a nice 15-20 minute walk into town but definitely recommend a cab back especially at night for safety (no street lights/sidewalks) etc. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely staff.

This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. We loved our rooms with a bath and a half, plus, a washing machine. The kitchen was great, but our favorite was the beautiful pool area. So quiet and enjoyable. We spent every afternoon at the pool. We are recommending to family and friends coming in the future.

The apartment, staff at reception were great, pool was great and really good to be walkable to the beach, the only downside of our stay was the pool bar- we had to wait over an hour for a toasted sandwich, the lady behind the counter was lovely tho and apologetic. Our second night we ate at the restaurant and had the meat bbq, again we had to wait over an hour for our food, the meat was served on a wooden board and there was lots of it but can I make a suggestion in that the food is presented better please? It was just a mound of meat piled up whereas it may be better to have the chicken together, pork together etc so that it is clear what meat is what. We also were disappointed that our room wasn’t cleaned until 5pm which we felt was a little late. But on the whole we really enjoyed our stay and hope that my comments can be taken on board as an improvement for future guests.

Our stay was wonderful! The hotel is located in a very quiet area, just a few minutes walk to the town of Ferragudo and to numerous beaches. The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant and pool area on the premises were top notch, too. The beaches were absolutely wonderful, and small towns are all so lovely and historic feeling, with lots of goods restaurants, bars, and shopping. We cannot wait to go back

This hotel was brilliant. Was only here for 1 night but wish we were here longer. Roof top pool overlooks the harbour/marina. Very scenic . Music by the pool which was relaxing. Drinks brought to the sunloungers . Lots to do in area.

The room was comfortable, the AC worked well, the breakfast was good (very English with the baked beans and etc haha), the pool was nice, but the nicest thing for us was the pool bar, it was really cozy during the sunset. Overall, it was a good stay.

It’s a lovely hotel perched on the cliffs with a view out to the Atlantic. We had a sea facing room on level one which was ideal for access to the pool. Whilst most other amenities are on level five and the sky bar on six there were plenty of speedy lifts to get you around without having to wait too long. Our room was compact but very clean and the bed was really comfy. All staff were very friendly and in the main their English was better than my Portuguese. We were on a BnB rate so only really ate breakfast in the hotel and foraged outside at other times. The one evening meal we had was very nice but a tad expensive with do many good restaurants close at hand. We loved the pool area - always spare loungers although not the most comfortable. The team at the pool bar were very efficient and could not do enough for us. Going out in the evenings we made the most of the free hotel tuktuk service, walked or used uber which worked well. The sky bar was an early evening regular although busy. We had a great time and would certainly use the hotel again - great location for the town and golf. They even clocked by DOB on my passport so bubbles and birthday cake appeared gratis in the room without anyone saying a word. Nice touch.

Fabulous resort. Stayed at a deluxe double sea view room. Stunning view. Room was rather spacious and clean with a lovely balcony. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff from front desk. Always got prompt replies. Nice poolside restaurant, good service. Breakfast on 5th floor was great, it's worth to wait for a table on the terrace / outside for a nice breakfast with beautiful view. Restaurant on 5th floor was a hit and miss, a bit overpriced, booking in advance is essential even for hotel guests. Nice swimming pools, always busy. Preferred sun-beds in the garden for quieter experience. Quiet location. Rooms above the poolside restaurant could be disturbed by some noise. Roof top bar was cool. Although could hear music likely from the roof top occasionally, it always stopped at a reasonable time. Slow wifi, connection didn't go well on balcony. Weak shower. What makes this hotel stand out was the staff, they all worked hard. Won't hesitate to return.

The room was well laid out and being on the second floor we had a big balcony and two comfy chairs, and a coffee table along with a sea view. Bed was comfy (but pillows were very soft and flat). Nice walk in shower with plenty of space to get ready in the morning. We went full board which meant we only paid for drinks which definitely was a good saving as the menu is a bit pricey. Fantastic breakfast with a beautiful view, lovely lunch and dinner menus with a great selection of sea food. The air conditioned gym has mainly cardio machines - treadmill, cross trainer and bikes. There was a decent dumbbell rack that went up to 25kg, a bench, a smith machine, leg press and leg extension machines. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool with great poolside service for food, drinks and cocktails. The town close by and is busy with plenty of nice little shops, bars and restaurants. It’s a hot walk back up so definitely avail of the Tivoli tuk-tuks. There’s currently no access to the sea down the pathway at the hotel as the steps are very unsafe. The staff are so lovely and friendly and speak very good English. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done exceptionally well.

I read all the reviews before booking this hotel stay. We had a good experience. Our room had an ocean view, it was clean and very comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor, above the pool. It was quiet with no noise from the pool area or sky bar area. Tips for the restaurants and bar service are already factored into the bill so no reason to figure out the tip unless you had exceptional service and wanted to tip more. Overall it's a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views and we would stay here again.

One of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time. An incredible hotel, stunning views that you just cannot get enough of, gorgeous pool area and great pool bar but above of…the people. Staff was beyond accommodating and genuinely friendly. We loved Carvoeiro and we loved the Tivoli. Improvements could also be made at the bar / restaurant around the pool as they never felt very welcoming which meant we went to our friends' hotel instead to use their pool and pool bar / restaurant. Hotel is in a good location, close to the centre and the beach.

We had such a good stay here in this less built up area of the Algarve. Less is more, more space, more beach, more time to wander the streets, walk the board walk to the end, more ice cream shops, more local fishermen working in restaurants serving today's catch. A perfect family holiday! The hotel has everything you need, indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym table tennis and pool table. The breakfast is good, the evening 3 steaks for 2 people perfect. Every member of staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well set out, the kitchen had everything you needed for breakfast and simple suppers. Only a short easy walk to town, space to park, ability to use the facilities of other Pestana hotels in the town (Crazy golf, pitch and putt) made for an easy stay. Days out to Sagres , Silves, Zoo Marine and the famous stacks and arches on Lagos beach all within 35 minutes, 45 to the airport by the motorway made the best of the Algarve accessible to us

The room and facilities were excellent. Indoor pool and thermal suite were a great plus point. A great selection at breakfast time and friendly staff. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the room was refreshed daily. Robes and towels are available at the pool. Cocktails are very tasty. Great views from our room of seafront and gardens. All round excellent hotel.

Loved the room and ability to make tea and the occasional snack. The breakfast option was good value and very nice. We enjoyed the pool table but needed chalk. Swimming pool was great.

We stayed in a superior studio apartment which was spacious and modern with a lovely view. The hotel and grounds are so well kept and clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel is spotless. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable. We were half board , breakfast and evening meals were consistently excellent. Minor gripe but water should have been provided for evening meal, not at an additional cost. It was very hot, the parasols around the pool and garden are not adequate to provide shade. The location of the hotel is fantastic, we choose it having been to pdr before, close enough to be able to easily walk in but in the quiet area. A recommendation would be to refuse entry through the pool fire door at night. As despite the room being lovely we had people coming back through it from the beach entrance in the early hours of the morning and slamming the door, consistently waking us up. Apart from that I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it.

What's not to like. I visit once a year ( would be more if I could). The hotel is placed at the quiet end of Praira da Rocha but within minutes of every amenity you could wish for. The hotel is right on the beach which can be accessed by 50 steps straight from hotel grounds. Fabulous walks along the beach and further. You can walk into Portimao town, catch the bus or a water taxi to Ferragudo. You are greeted upon arrival by wonderful front office staff, welcomed with a drink and a lovely sit down whilst checking in. Someone always takes you and your luggage to your room. Rooms are spotless, large and have balconies which gives full it side sea views. A kettle and a small fridge which holds some cold drinks but plenty of space for your own purchases. A complimentary bottle of water is provided to start you off. Cost of drinks taken from mini bar are not excessive. Lovely clean bathroom with a walk in shower. I was half board. I believe Carlos is now head waiter...at least he was when I was there and to be honest he was much more friendly than the last one. I have no complaints at all about the food served, a good variety and well cooked/ presented. I never had an issue getting a lounger by the pool or gardens I feel very safe here and welcomed. I can't wait for my next visit.

My husband and I have just returned from 10 days in this lovely hotel. We had a wonderful time. We had a room with side view of the sea and overlooking the pool. On arrival at 2am we were shown to our lovely room by Phillip, who was friendly and helpful. On reception Katarina greeted us regularly with a warm smile and was very helpful when we needed assistance. During both breakfast and dinner we were served by the lovely Carlos who was very friendly and chatty. We also found Pedro to be very helpful too. All staff were friendly and courteous to us. Our room was kept immaculately clean. The food was lovely we particularly enjoyed the variety and having cake and sparking wine with orange juice to make bucks fizz( after all we were on holiday!) for breakfast. We went on three day trips during our stay: the historical Algarve trip, the super jeep safari day and the trip with emotions 5 to see the dolphins and the Bengali caves! All were superb and we can highly recommend them all! The sunsets we saw were spectacular and we spent hours sitting outside to view them. We can both highly recommend this hotel! Thanks to all the staff for making our visit so memorable and special!

This hotel is amazing. Location is ideal. Highly recommend it !!! Has its own access to the beautiful beach. It’s very close to the town centre, local shops and restaurants. Walking distance to evening night life - close but not too close. The restaurant and eating area are breathtaking and have amazing semicircular view on the beach. Lots of tables and outside eating areas plus the pool. Staff - very friendly and helped us get the right rooms. And welcome drinks nice touch. Meals : mostly very good. Breakfast great choice. One day was fixed menu but food was not the best. But the rest of the days the buffet was amazing. Huge choice. Rooms : good size and had a small but good view across the beach. Walk into and across the beach at 6am for sunrise - priceless ! Amazing water features and central area in the hotel. Very beautifully setup. Bar staff can be a little bit slow and ask for the snacks menu as it has a few choices rather than the lunch menu. And to top it all, an amazing evening in one night with a fantastic live singer and guitarist !! My son even had a chance to play their guitar. A time very well spent and just close your eyes and book it !!

Our 3rd visit and we loved it just as much as last year. We were welcomed by 2 absolutely lovely members of staff, a lovely young lady and a lovely young man, think his name was Eli. This just set the scene for the whole holiday. Every member of staff were fantastic. The hotel is stunning and is so clean. We specially love the piano at breakfast and the entertainment in the evening. This to us is so classy. Food is excellent, my only complaint if it is one, same as last year no meet and greet at Dinner. We were left feeling a bit awkward as to where to sit, and with the waiters so busy you can be left waiting for drinks if they don’t see you. I mentioned this last year. We also enjoyed our glass of fizz at breakfast sat in the sun. When we were leaving Eli carried our bags to the bus and with a big hug we left and headed for home. Thank you Oriental hotel , we love you. Hope to see you again very soon.x The pool area is excellent and plenty of beds. The position of hotel is perfect for us.

Virtually everything! The pool is fantastic and we had lots of fun in the pool. The cafe served very nice food and the staff were all great. Our pool view room was spacious and comfortable with a great balcony for enjoying the evening sunshine. The football pitch was the highlight for our 8 year old boy! Vitor’s Plaza is an excellent family hotel.

Perfect for families. Lots of amenities - pools, pool bar, supermarket, clothes washing facilities and gym on site. Rooms were very spacious and kitchenette/balcony were great as we had to spend a lot of time around the apartment when baby was napping. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

I liked the deep pool (deep on one end) which had a good atmosphere, good balcony view from our room over the pool, cleanliness, friendly staff. One of the days we left our towels on sun beds for an hour to return to find else somebody on beds, our towels folded and placed to the side with a note stating what times they were left unattended (I was very impressed with this policy as nobody should simply book beds like that and expect them waiting for them while others need them, I was very happy to see that. We just got different beds instead.) There was a nice relaxed friendly family atmosphere throughout the place. Ubers are great to drop you to Alvor for shops/ restaurants (a great place to visit/shop/eat etc)

Pleasant stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was very large, clean and sufficient. The kitchen in the room could use a few more utensils, but it was fine for the two of us. The inside pool was nice, it was one of the reasons why I booked the hotel. The outside pool was a bit too cold for the end of October, but it looked very nice. all-in-all a very good stay.

Fantastic stay at Vitors Plaza. We arrived early and were greeted with a friendly female receptionist who advised good news that our room was ready. She was very friendly and informative and nothing was too much hassle for her as she happy to answer any questions. Our room had a great view overlooking the pool and was very clean and tidy as was all of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit. Thank you for a great stay

We had a street side, Seaview room, which was great to come back to late afternoon and sit on the balcony in the sun with a beer watching the world below. In the evenings, we did the same after a night out and enjoyed the music from the hotel opposite, not too intrusive. The pool area was nice, although you lost the sun mid afternoon as its enclosed by other buildings, so we went on our balcony for an hour or so. Excellent proximity to the beach and the seafront with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Restaurants to check out for fish and local Portuguese cuisine are restaurants Adris, Cafe del Mar, marisqruira Coral, vinhos and comidas, and the excellent Squash restaurant . Special mention to Gonzales and Alex for helping me out with the electric charging point in the underground car park, although operational instructions would have been useful in other languages, particularly English. Slight niggles were the pool side bar not regularly attended and when it was staff were very noisy in there work ,only 'ninja ' David was a stealth worker. And when we needed missing tea bags and a Cork screw ,I had to collect. Otherwise, I'll be charged for 'Room service '. When I went to collect ,4 members of staff were just hanging around, a bit annoying. However, a great hotel, great position, definitely recommend! Thanks, Da Rocha team!

Nice hotel, massive lovely bed. Breakfast was OK but same thing every day gets boring after a week even though there was in fairness loads of choice. This hotel has nothing for kids. There is a bar but no evidence anyone really uses it. The pool is a dissapointed. I knew it would be sheltered because it is not facing beach and surrounded by apartments so no view, I just didn't realise how cold it would be and there is no indoor pool. Rooms are cleaned everyday but a quick rub and the tiles on bathroom need a good deep scrub and it really wasn't spotless. Couldn't fault the staff, extremely nice and even offered us a breakfast pack as we were leaving. It was not soundproof rooms as the noise from slamming doors off other residents kept us awake a lot. Nice hotel but would probably try somewhere else next time.

A really good hotel in a perfect location. Rooms spacious, well equipped and small fridge. Massive bed . Everything you could want at breakfast and more. The only downside to the hotel is the pool area as it was quite small with only around 35 sunbeds and felt very enclosed, so no breeze at all . Also even though there was a small poolside bar , there was nowhere to sit out of the sun for a cooling drink. The favourite restaurant of our stay was ADRIS on the main street, lovely people and food fantastic.

Had a wonderful week staying here. Hotel was fabulous. We has a side sea view - Sunset Suite; on 7th floor; the view was just lovely; clear balcony wall meant full view even if sitting; it got the sun in afternoon. Great view for some people watching of folk walking through town and nice buildings on front + beach/sea/coast. (although if very fearful of heights might not be ideal). Room was a good size; loads of space. Bed was the comfiest have been in for long time! + the biggest. Perfect location - literally across the road from walkway to beach. (road not difficult to cross - one way system) The Main Street/strip was just minutes walk away; but we weren't bothered with any noise from that area. Breakfast was fabulous!! We also left early on our last day and got a packed takeaway breakfast (sandwiches/apple/carton of juice; which was great). Pool area is small but nice size for a dip. Overlooked by rooms. Gym area - was ok; quite basic; quite warm; air conditioning would help & near the parking area as downstairs and could smell car fumes at times. Overall had fabulous week and would recommend.

A really great hotel with absolutely brilliant staff who were always ready to help. A special mention for Inna, Maria, Ana and Pedro in the restaurant and Erica on reception. Their friendliness and commitment to customer service was outstanding. The room cleaning service was exceptional. The food was really good with a wide choice at both breakfast and dinner. The hotel is also in an excellent position within the resort. The only negative is the size and position of the swimming pool, but with the brilliant beach in such close proximity, it wasn't so much of a problem to us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Our room was a standard double and was huge, and really comfortable, fridges in the room was an added bonus.

The stuff was so helpful and friendly, location was a good short drive from the city center and close to all town and village. After all our tour and we come back relaxing at the pool.They have two big pool for us to go too. Excellent for gofter. Very beautiful view from the room and restaurant patio, especially starting your morning beautiful and fresh air. I would stay there again.

Just spent a long weekend at this lovely hotel. The rooms are beautiful and have large balconies or doors that open to a view of the golf course. The room itself is so big and really lively with a gorgeous wet room. We went full board and the breakfast and dinner were both lovely. My husband loved playing both courses and I enjoyed laying by the pool when the weather allowed. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s quite remote so a taxi journey to a shop, not an issue for us, but just something to keep in mind. Would love to stay again.

A good experience, price / quality good, very good breakfast, lots of choices, rooms were big and clean, the two golf courses were good and well maintained, long par three holes though, long clubs needed, pools rather big and fresh, staff friendly, something that is a bit odd is that there are some +/- ten unfinished buildings around the golf courses, heard that the financial crisis some 15 years ago put an end to this big project, its not really disturbing but it catches your eyes.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2025 and everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices, and the view over the golf courses was simply beautiful. The pool was spotless and the water was pleasantly warm, perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which allowed us to truly unwind – even though we’re not golf players. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay. Would definitely return!

The room was very clean & light. Fantastic huge comfy bed with lovely linen. The breakfast is really nice- plenty of choice and pleasant staff on hand. Evening dinner also enjoyable - served by lovely welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Juan( I think) is a star- really loves his work and everything customer focused . He & his colleagues made us feel special We know that the indoor pool is great but we didn’t have time to use it this time . Outdoor pool looks great but too cool in January for us to use. Due to a facility issue, the restaurant was undergoing repair when we arrived so breakfast was served by the pool. There was some confusion between the reception area and the communication to the restaurant staff so too many people showed up at the same time. However, the woman managing the restaurant handled the issue with ease. She directed staff to bring more tables from the restaurant and arrange them around the area to accommodate all guests. Everyone was satisfied and it was seamless. Bravo to her and the entire staff!

Our stay exceeded all expectations mainly due to the friendliness and efficiency of the staff who couldn't do enough to make sure we had a fabulous stay. Special mention for Tania who went above and beyond looking after us in every aspect. The hotel is clean and uniquely laid out guaranteeing privacy and quiet and the pool area is excellent and well run by the friendly staff with a special mention for Diego.

There isn’t much around the resort so I recommend stopping at a grocery store beforehand to grab some snacks and maybe some sandwiches. There is one restaurant on the property but it is extremely over priced and everything we ordered came out wrong. Items were missing from our orders and seemed like they used left overs from breakfast. The front desk staff was excellent and very accommodating, so I was shocked at the lack of oversight in their restaurant. The resort was right next to the cliffs with beautiful views and a small beach. They have a salt water pool and regular pool which I thought was a nice touch. Aside from the restaurant, I enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.

We liked all: location, beach, swimming pool. I saw that some people claimed on the breakfast in the past, but during our stay the breakfast was amazing, maybe they have improved a lot since last time. The hotel has great location; you can walk along the beach side and found some great picture places. The closest beach is fabulous, but small, however, the biggest public one you need to walk to for around 1km. In other case, you can relax next to swimming pools. You can order Uber food there with delivery, you need the car to drive to the closet city with supermarket.

The location was 10/10, absolutely stunning. You could walk along the cliff trails to meet up with the seven hanging valleys trail that winds around to carvoeiro. The pools were lovely, the downstairs pool was a favourite for the kids to be able to play. The rooms were huge and very comfortable. Blockout blinds and air conditioning. Definitely need a car to stay here which ended up being a positive as it meant we could explore nearby towns and beaches. The breakfast was incredible and the staff were very friendly.

Breakfast was great. OJ was fresh squeezed and delicious. Robes, slippers, pool towels provided. The beach next to the property didn't have seaweed. 3 pools, 1 heated. Nice property with amazing views just a short walk away.

What a wonderful hotel! Our stay was brilliant from start to finish. Check in was easy and our room was available as soon as we arrived. We stayed on 7th floor (high floor room when booking on booking.com) and had incredible views over the whole of Praia da Rocha. There were plenty of loungers by the pool, which meant we never stressed about what time we arrived at the pool. We had breakfast included in our room rate and the breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent. So many good options and it was replenished regularly throughout the morning. The housekeeping team were so efficient and refreshed our room every morning during the short time we were at breakfast, which was such a lovely touch. The gym had a good variety of machines and although I didn't use it the spa + indoor pool looked brilliant. In terms of proximity to Afronation, you are right next to the entrance to the beach used to get to the Festival. It was a 10 minute walk, max! This made our Afronation experience as it was wonderful to know we could pop back easily to our hotel if we wanted to and also meant that the journey home once the festival finished each night was quick. I could not recommend this hotel more! I would love to return again in the future.

Arrived on Tuesday 14th Oct.25.. Was greeted by very polite staff who informed us our room wasn't available till 2.30pm. We arrived at 11.20 so we went to the roof top terrace we had lunch the Hotel was buzzing very polite waiting staff. We have now come to no Olvia(absolute Gem.) We where allocated room 319 a nice Seaview room the room was very compact clean a fab shower. The roof top pool is Gorgeous just looking over sea but the biggest downside is the stones all around the sunbeds I see no purpose as you bring them into the pool a nd the mess on the boards are horrendous. Also the handrail should be starting at the entrance into the pool not down the step as I have Chronic mobility issues. The food is lovely we have eaten every night in the resturant but it's a suggestion could you put a selection of potatoes on the menu not just CHIPS as I've been having sirloin every night but I don't won't chips every night. Lovely hotel, 5 mins walk from the beach. The hotel has excellent facilities, a nice pool area and plenty of space to sit and relax. The food was excellent with lots of choice and the waiters provided quick service. It was an excellent touch to have a glass of wine or beer with the evening meal. The only thing I'd say is the beans at breakfast needed to be hotter and the bacon was too streaky. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job every day and having bed made up and room left clean made a great experience. The evening live music was very good and the cocktails and non alcoholic drinks very good. The hotel was in an excellent location and nice walks, good restaurants, bars and ice-cream parlours. The only thing I was a little confused by, was being charged a city tax when booking car parking.. I really should have been informed about this at the time of booking the holiday. We would have liked some soft music whilst having dinner and at the pool side during the day. The other thing that was a little disappointing is there was not enough milk for a cup if tea on arrival and because it was late, we had to go without a hot drink. But over all, an excellent hotel and fantastic experience with professional and helpful staff.

Excellent hotel with spacious rooms cleaned daily. Food area had a great selection with a different theme each night. Pool areas were clean with plenty of sunbeds and a separate quiet pool to chill out in. Loved the free shuttle bus that ran to the old town several times a day if you wanted to explore. There is no evening entertainment which made a refreshing change, allowing those who just wanted to hear the sounds of the crickets at night. All staff were friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful, open at decent times to cater for early and late risers. Much was the same every morning, but the cakes and pastries were different every day, providing different options and a chance to try different items.

They upgraded us to a bigger room, which is actually a suite. They provided us with pool towels in the room so you could bring the towels to pool. The size of the room is big and as muslims, we had more than enough space to pray. The hotel is actually surrounded by a well maintained park, so you could enjoy a walk around the hotel anytime you wish. The restaurants are well manned, and the waiters are friendly. They can tell you where to get the best Fado show in town, and where’s best to visit if you have limited time. They have two kittens roaming around, which I personally think they’re the owner of the accommodation 😸

Stayed a week just before high season started. The first thing that struck me about this place was the beautiful complex. There is a spacious indoor car park and the staff drive these cute little electric golf buggies around to help with luggage. The staff were great, very welcoming and the customer service was amazing. Then I noticed the swarm of sea gulls in the pool. In fact they were all over the sun loungers and on some apartment balconies. There’s droppings everywhere. I’ts clearly been a problem since this place opened. They have a man with a hawk to try to deter them but they keep coming back. This makes it a health and safety risk despite how often the pool is cleaned. The outdoor pool is also freezing cold. The indoor pool is smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it was a surprisingly very nice temperature. It’s full of young kids though, understandably because they don’t want to be in the outdoor pool. There should really be a rule about no kids after 7pm, so it can actually serve as a spa. The apartment was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything! Modern high quality AEG appliances - an oven, microwave, hob, full fridge and freezer, even washing machine. Two things frustrated me - for a building constructed in 2021, there is not a usb port in site, so had to charge my phone very slowly from the tv. The TV - it’s astonishing no smart tv.

Lovely location if you want to chill out away from tacky pubs and cheap cafe/restaurants. This is what I call a resort with resort style facilities. We had a 2 bed apartment with all facilities including a fully equipped kitchen with washer dryer. Living room with large TV outdoor table and chairs and sun loungers. The main bedroom had a ensuite shower and toilet but was more like a wet room set with a glass panel. The second room had a two single beds and a main bathroom outside the room with shower and toilet. There was also a separate toilet as well ( yes 3 toilets 2 bedrooms). The facilities included an out door pool with separate baby paddling pool, sun loungers and tennis courts, volleyball court. Indoors you have a pool jacuzzi and steam room, spa treatments also by appointments. In the reception you have a nice lounge area friendly staff with a bar restaurant area. This is not a place for party goers it's a place to relax with the beach and outside restaurants in walking distance. We had a hire car so we had activities booked for our stay here but nice to have facilities to chill out with at night. We noticed a lot of golfers, Families with young kids and couples stayed here. Highly recommend lovely location.

The apartment was very spacious and clean looking, it was very well equipped. The pool area and also the wellness area were amazing. The pool bar at the pool was great as well. I really enjoyed my massage I booked (it was pricy, however, I understand that), the staff was very welcoming and kind. The location is also great, there is an amazing beach just 10 minutes from the property, which we really enjoyed!

The size of the room was huge. All staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular Sergio at the pool and Brian on reception.The villas and resort were a great place to unwind. Very chilled music by the pool. Easily accessible indoor pool. Fab food in restaurant. Within easy reach of restaurants and a few bars.

The resort was amazing! we spent a few night at the white shell beach villas and enjoyed every second. The staff could not do enough for us. it was our first wedding anniversary and we spoiled! We had massages at the wellness centre . lovely swimming pools, jacuzzi and steam room. We had a special surprise of a bottle of wine given to us to celebrate! we were also allowed to bring our dog who also had a fantastic time! we didn’t want to leave ! we could WhatsApp the staff for drinks at the pool or use a buzzer. absolutely amazing! There was a bottle of water and some toilet rolls already there everything else you needed to buy but we knew this when booking and the same as any other apartment you would book.. Although the block we were in was full, we always managed to get sunbed. The pool was just the right size and even had a little baby pool. Yes, it's at the top of a hill, but you do get used to the short walk up after a few days. It's really close to everything and plenty of shops and restaurants and the beach within a short walk. Also far enough away from the noise of the bars and resturants.. 1st time here, but we loved it so much that we have booked again for next year. We did the board walk with amazing views, this was only a short distance from the apartments.

The location is absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Our apartment was squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. It was also very, very large. Our balcony overlooked the main two of the eight pools and the sea. The pools are super clean. We were there in October and the weather was still warm enough to swim in the pool and the sea. The reception desk is very helpful. The guests in the adjacent apartments were all very friendly.

Our appartment was a 2 bed ground floor and was really big in size with a nice patio right on the pool. The pools were all based around a group of appartments and were well looked after. The resort is at a top of a hill but a nice walk down to the town and beach with everything you need a good selection of lovely restaurants Really enjoyed our stay.

Apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you could want provided. Gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Pools clean and within a few steps from our room. Large terrace with amazing sea view. Even pool towels were provided. Air con and room safe included at no charge. Spacious apartment probably the best we have stayed in.

Spent a lovely few days here in a studio which was spacious and well equipped . The whole hotel was spotless including the gardens and pool area. . The air conditioning was excellent. The whole hotel smelt amazing ( I'd be very grateful if someone could identify the smell of the diffusers.) Reception staff we very helpful and smiley, and gave great advice when asked Loved the pool and always managed to get a sunbed with an umbrella. You could swim until 8pm at night, and we had a memorable swim on our last evening, when the swallows came dipping into the wate Its a short walk from the town, and perhaps 5 mins to the nearest supermarket. We had breakfast at the hotel which was lovely and also ordered food from the bar a couple of times which we enjoyed very much ( Only serves food until 6:30) We came for a quiet relaxing holiday and that was exactly what we had . Weather was excellent so we lay by the pool for most of the day. Definitely look to return

ideal location with very pleasant 15 min walk to village square. staff very accommodating. stayed several times and always enjoy. on this occasion initially allocated room at end of first floor with pool side view however balcony was directly aligned with roof of terrace that leads down to pool. obstructed view compared with other pool side view rooms we’ve had in the past. we asked if there were any other rooms available further along on same floor or any other floor where this wouldn’t be an issue (if possible, we would have made do if necessary as room itself was fine). staff accommodated this without hesitation and we were very happy with alternate room and the view was beautiful. the reason I mention this is to demonstrate the high level of customer service from the staff. really impressed by how accommodating they were.

Pros Stayed in a family room on the third floor which had two bedrooms and a living room with sofa bed. The apartment was huge as was the balcony with sun terrace and loungers. Room well equipped for self catering with good cooking facilities and a dishwasher. Pool and grounds lovely with ample sun loungers when we visited. Food at the hotel good when we stayed for lunch and competitively priced. Staff friendly and attentive. You’d be hard pressed to find somewhere better for the size of the room and quality of the hotel. 20 min walk to centre Cons The management had allowed some areas of the hotel to decline. Children’s pool had multiple loose tiles which need fixing. There was a pool bar which was never open but could be which would add value. Room also had faults which had not been fixed, broken jacuzzi and whirlpool bath although this did not affect our stay. Alvor seems to have become more commercialised, more bars and main streets at times now a little overcrowded. Still some great restaurants. Overall very good.

Lovely hotel and staff, lovely grounds and pool but pool is very quiet some music would be nice as it does get boring. Pool bar was there but not open anytime we were there I think this would of made more of a atmosphere. Rooms were very spacious and had all amenities needed only issue is towels dont get changed as often and the floors in the room needed a very good clean. Had to wash my feet multiple times a day as they were black from the floors in room ended up resorting to wearing flip flops round the room to prevent this. Hotel is a good location and nice for people who wish to have a quiet stay but unfortunately it lacked atmosphere for us and the cleaning wasnt up to standard.

Staff - without exception the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, nothing was too difficult for them making you feel right at home. Room - the room was perfect with everything advertised present to a very high standard. Breakfast - difficult to pick one thing that was much better than the rest because everything so good but the breakfast was sensational with such a wide variety of foods and combinations available. We will never forget the Longevity breakfast! Spa - a wonderful area in the hotel cleverly designed to contain a large deconstructed jacuzzi pool with five different areas, a salt water pool, a sauna, a steam room, a Himalayan salt room, a relaxation room, and a variety of different showers, and a number of loungers inside and out. Well being activities - we had no idea that included in price were numerous daily activities which you could opt into if you wished. We dipped our toes into crystal therapy, Pilates, yoga, energetic healing, astrology and numerology. All totally added to our experience.

The property is a health and wellness one so it has great SPA facilities included in the booking. Epsom salt room, detox and relaxation showers, indoor swimming pool was warm and jacuzzi was hot, cold swimming pool inside, sauna steam room and a meditation room - these were the best things ever! Only thing to know is breakfast was repetitive and very healthy vibes - so no English breakfast! Mainly egg based breakfast options. But it’s a great stay for the price.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic 10/10. It's a ten minute walk from Alvor town so good location. Lovely infinity pool on the roof along with sun loungers and outdoor seating for breakfast etc. Seems to be a centre for yoga and well being coaches but this is mixed with ordinary residents such as ourselves. The spa facilities which are inclusive are great; sauna, Turkish style steam room and therapy pools. If you want a relaxing spot in Alvor, this place is hard to beat.

The hotel is modern and very comfortable, the room are spacious and have everything you need. There is a beautiful spa, unfortunately without indoor pool, so no swimming. The outdoor pool was not heated and too cold in January. For the rest all was super!

Positives: All staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough. That includes waiting staff, reception, spa staff and cleaners; Breakfast healthy and delicious; Room and hotel spotless, comfortable beds and well equipped; Great view from balcony. Areas that could be improved: The accessibility of the only outdoor swimming pool. The steps are in the middle of the pool and there is no handrail. Even for those without disabilities this could be dangerous To add coffee to refreshments in bedrooms

Arrived for a weeks stay unsure what to expect. The hotel is adorable. Very central. It’s clean and the pool area although not huge, allowed me to do my morning swim. It was uncrowded and no rush for a sunbed as plenty available. All staff were just so friendly including Vanessa on reception and even the cleaners went out of their way to chat to you. It was my birthday and everyone wished me happy returns and I was given a card and bottle of cava in my room Beds were big with lovely soft pillows. Breakfast was great, a lovely buffet and the gentleman in charge , Virgolino very welcoming. He clearly takes pride in his job. I only wish we had gone for a beach facing room with a balcony so before bed we could have a night cap watching all the hustle bustle. The sky bar is worth a trip with live music although a bit pricey. As for noise, yes it’s busy but entertain the square usually finished by midnight. For those who complain… you are on holiday after all!

The propert was very nice and everything I needed was there in one spot . The pool was great with lawn chairs and a little snack and drink dispenser was awesome to have . Loved the way the property was located right close to beach with all the stores and Resturante’s close by . The property even had a coffee or I cream place that you could order and sit on some chairs in side while enjoying your gelato . The beds were the most comfortable beds ive ever laid on .i presume that they are new . The champagne and fruit welcome package was definely a surprise . Loved looking out the window everyday something was going on . The breakfast was absolutely delicious fresh squeezed orange juice every morning , presunto , natas cheeses and pancakes and many other choices were so delicious . The service from the front reception was beyond 10/10 I was very impressed with the high standard of quality customer service that they all had . Gotta say one of the best hotels that I’ve ever stayed in !!!

-The location was great, it was a few steps from the beach and also from the "stage" where there's like live music every night. Close to all the shops and restaurants as well. -The free breakfast buffet also had a lot of selection and was delicious. -The staff were very helpful and nice -The rooms were clean and spacious -They have their own cafe so you can just sit and enjoy ice cream and other desserts -They have their own pool, didn't manage to experience it but was quite clean when we went to have a look -They have their own rooftop bar where it's nice to chill and offer a good view

The staff at the Hotel Carvoeiro Plaza, were amazing, very happy to help and always with a smile, in reception, the restaurant, the 360 Bar, by the Pool, the Cleaners. The manager even drove us to the airport. The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to the beach, bars, restaurants everything was perfect for our stay. I would especially like to thank Catia, who arranged our stay and was the epitome of what a host should be. We will definitely be returning

We are a family of 3 (2 adults and a 4 year old), went on all inclusive holiday for a 10 nights stay. Tivoli is a nice hotel (resort) for families, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern rooms with daily cleaning. Resort has 3 main pools with daily activities, 1 adult only pool and 1 kids pool with slides. Resort also has a kids club, but our princess didn’t want to attend so can’t rate it. Suggestion for administrators at the resort to change policy on sun beds “reservation”. At 10am all sun beds are “taken”, but not such many guests are in the pool. On our check out day at 6am people were at the sun beds to “reserve” and go back to bed! A massive plus - 10 min away (by walk) is a nice beach. Recommend to visit and spend a time there. Resort has a playground, mini golf and court for football and basketball. Resort has plenty restaurants (some of them require booking), food was a bit of disappointment, luck of taste (but it might be just us). Thumbs up for fruits and ice cream- delicious. As we are a coffee lovers bigger cups would make a big difference in main restaurant. 3 days before our end of holiday we discovered a really nice quite place in resort with a really tasty coffee with a kind barista Rostislav (if you reading this review - thank you for a such nice coffee and yummy chocolate for our daughter). As we stayed for 10 nights Tivoli provided tickets to ZooMarine which was a nice gesture, it was an amazing day out. Thank you Tivoli, we will come back.

I visited with my 3 children 6-14 years, my parents and my brother + family including a 2year old. What a lovely complex and well looked after. Great location and the little train takes you to Alvor town and the bridge over to the beach is only a little walk away. Lots of facilities including kids splash pool, swimming pools and adult pool, a park and football area. There's a kids club which we didn't get around to visiting. The staff were fantastic, Daniel who greeted for us for breakfast in the mornings made us feel very welcome and was lovely host. A special mention to the chef too, who although very busy took the time to make sure to talk to us and make a separate meal for my son who has severe allergies, I have forgotten her name, sorry but I am very grateful. The reception staff were really helpful and helped with taxi's, day trips and anything. excellent staff all around, the cleaners were so lovely too and did an amazing job. All very professional. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Plenty of space and well thought out layout. Only niggle I would say is the noise level of an evening due to the open space in the entertainment complex and the dance around the pool at 10 o'clock was quiet loud, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. we visited the spa for a treatment which was lovely and professional. The food was incredible, changing majority of dinner options. I looked forward to every meal, there was something for everyone.

I stayed here last week with my husband and toddler for 7 nights. We had a brilliant stay! The food was great and plenty of choice in the buffet which changed every day. We also ate in the Italian and steak restaurants which were included in the all inclusive package - the service was fantastic and food was lovely. We stayed in a family room which was comfortable and clean with plenty of space even with a travel cot which was provided. There were 5 pools and we never had an issue getting sun beds. The adult pool looked lovely and quiet. My son loved the kids pool with the slides however my only suggestion would be the ground around the pool would need resurfaced - a lot of uneven and muddy/gravelly surfaces! The hotel offers a free train for guests into Alvor which was a big selling point for me! We are early risers and the first train doesn’t leave until 10am but that was fine for us as we were happy to walk in (this took about 30 minutes over the bridge and along boardwalk) and got the train back again. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Portugal and Tivoli was definitely the best one I’ve stayed in, would have to say the pictures online don’t do it justice! I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here and we are already planning to come back next year!

We visited as a family holiday 8 adults with 2 babies under 2years, lots of high chairs in all restaurants, staff very helpful with all requests. Adults pool was lovely for adult time, two other big pools plus a pool for little ones, with the only criticism more shade is needed there. Kids disco was well attended, but some of the evening entertainment was poor especially once the act had finished there was no atmosphere for any adults should they want a dance. Excepting dogs at the hotel, isn’t for us, especially being in the restaurants

Fantastic week away at Tivoli Alvor, our first holiday as a family of three Despite seeing some negative reviews pre trip, we had a brilliant holiday. Great variety of food on offer across all restaurants, including themed nights at the buffet. Our favourites were Asian and America’s themed nights, as well as the Portuguese steak at Roastic restaurant and pizzas at Carobello Italian. My wife loved the range of fish dishes too across all restaurants One small improvement: Some potato products (Hash Browns & Wedges) were on the dry side Visiting just after UK schools returned, pools had lots of sunbeds available. Great choice of drinks at pool bars and salty bars (Echoing other reviews, shame Saltys wasn’t open in the evening, as we had to continually walk all way down to bottom bar to get drinks, especially if wanting to enjoy in our room) Rooms very modern and cleaned to a good standard everyday. Service really good with very helpful staff in reception and guest services. Handy free bus service into Alvor too Would recommend, especially for families

The structure is brand new, beautiful pool, pool bar, big rooms (even the standard ones) with sea view. You just cross the road and you’re to the beach, with all the restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues. Also, there’s some musical entertainment during the day and two nights per week in the hotel, but it’s not so popular among guests and therefore it comes to be a bit sad. They give towels for the pool, free coffee (nest cafe) and tea in the room. For 25€ per person you can eat at a buffet. Quality is not that good, but it’s a honest price for an honest dinner with plenty of choice between main courses, pastas, salads and desserts. Note that no beverage is included.

Excellent hotel, in an excellent location close to beautiful sandy beaches under the cliffs. We were very happy with our choice of hotel. The hotel is modern, with a pool for adults and a pool for children. It is in a quiet location with beautiful sea views. The room with balcony was modern with comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful. Excellent breakfast with a great choice of food for everyone. Free parking at the hotel or in the hotel garage is a plus.

We had an amazing stay at Turim Presidente Hotel. It’s place in a pretty quiet area, but at the same time close to nearby beaches, shops & restaurants. We’ve had a really nice room with view to the pool and the sea which we totally loved. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for everyone. Would totally recomend and would stay here again if back in the area. Portimao is also in the middle of Algarve and you can easily have daytrips around. We chose Zoomarine which was fantastic!

From the moment we arrived the check in was seamless, they even let us check in early. Brenda on front desk was very helpful. We room was lovely with a pool and sea view. Facilities on room were great, including a powerful shower. Housekeeping were very efficient too.. We had breakfast in the hotel and selection on the buffet was extensive and great value for money.. I will definitely return

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. It was worth paying extra for the front/full ocean view. Very convenient location, short walk to the beach, shops, trails, and marina, as well as a central location for visiting Lagos and Carvoeiro as well. Fantastic breakfast, beautiful pools. Were there for a 5-day trip. The facilities like the pools, gym, activities for kids and evening shows etc are very well organised. Nice beaches around 3-5 walk. Excellent service by the staff. Would go there again.

The hotel’s facilities were nice and clean and the personnel continually were cleaning the common areas, where it was obligatory (fortunately!) the use of masks. They all were nice, corteous and always willing to help. To avoid any potential infections, at the restaurant, one can’t serve his own food, this is done by the personnel of the restaurant and the use of masks is, theoretically obligatory, but we did spot a couple of people wearing nothing. For the restaurant, there were shifts but even though, sometimes we had to wait to be able to reduce the amount of people standing in line to get to the buffet. The food served in the buffet was tasty, but unfortunately there is no variety, so all meals are pretty much the same everyday. The children’s area looked nice, we only passed it by it, because it was not only full, but nobody was observing any distancing upon waiting to use the zipline or the slides. We had a couple of small issues, which we were not very happy with: in our room we were given a tiny soap bar, which after two days was over, and no replenishment was done at all, we had to use the soap we brought. Also, nobody explains that if you’d like towels for the pool, you need to give a 10euro deposit per towel or that you have to pay a deposit to get the control remote of the tv in the room. In summary, it was a very good stay and a recommendable place to have vacation even in these crazy times

We enjoyed everything. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffets were exceptionally good and varied, with vegetarian options. Pool, dining room and views were lovely. A quiet hotel. Gym, spa, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools. Across the river from the main city and not really within walking distance.

Staff at every level were excellent ! Fantastic corner room 301A , great views and exceptionally comfortable. The spa facilities, loved the hot tub and the pool. The Infinity pool although a tad on the cold side was very refreshing. The consistent quality of the buffet food each evening was very impressive, the best that I have ever experienced, top marks to the Chef and all kitchen Team. All in all great value for Half Board .

The twin beds are also quite hard .There are two flat screen Tv’s in each room but the reception on them are awful and fuzzy. There is a microwave in the room which looks like it’s about 30 years old and it wouldn’t entice you to use it.The bathroom was the best part of the room and had a fantastic shower.The pool is huge and very family friendly but trying to get a sunbed is like a lottery unless you are up at the dawn. On the plus side of things this hotel has fantastic entertainment for both adults and kids with the animation team excellent . The food is also very good and the all inclusive drinks are served at the pool bar only which can have long queues but move quickly.We found the staff to be very friendly and on check out as we had a late flight we could use the all inclusive for the remainder of the day which was a nice touch . We found all the common areas spotless and well looked after ... Would we stay here again probably but if the hotel made a few changes with the rooms and the pool area a lot more people would recommend this hotel to there friends .

Pros Lovely staff, clean spacious rooms, excited and engaging animation team especially Paola (kids entertainment), perfect on site spa (worth a visit or 4) and included kids club. Lots of space for the pool (no chair possession fights) and for dining. Plenty of availability of staff for support, serving drinks etc. Ice cream is lush. Deserts are plentiful. Toilets close to the pool Cons Nothing to do when it rains for kids, only thing to do when it rains for adults is the spa, kids mini disco starts FAR TOO LATE and the hotel must be aware of this as it's mentioned in most of the comments stretching back quite far yet it remains an 8:30pm start. The pool is extremely cold even when its nice weather outside it doesn't seem to heat up. If you are travelling as a single parent I'd recommend requesting a room close to the elevator as we were so farrrrrrrrrr and I had to drag him back and forth whenever I needed something from the room! Travelling with allergies. I would recommend establishing the names of the chefs for every night because the other staff didn't take it seriously, one woman rolled her eyes at me. It is a buffet so yes mostly the same but not everything, a special desert was made for my son one night as he was sick of jelly (the only thing he could have).

We stayed here as a family of four including a 4-year-old and an 11-month-old for 10 days, we would highly recommend it. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest most helpful staff throughout the entire hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent — fresh, varied, and something to suit everyone at every meal, We found the bed fairly hard but a call to reception and it was sorted in minutes with a very comfortable mattress topper! Travel cot also had a proper mattress which was a plus for us. We visited during Halloween, and the animation team put on a fantastic event — though a bit much for our 4-year-old! There was a huge selection of sweets and Halloween themed food and desserts, plenty of drinks options also. The pools were on the cooler side but never crowded, and the kids’ pool was excellent and very safe. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. It’s hard to find any negatives, but a couple of small suggestions: dinner could start a little earlier for families with young children (it begins at 6:30 p.m.), and the playground, could use a bit of maintenance. An on-site self-service laundrette would also be a huge help for families traveling with kids, however there is one in the supermarket a 10 min walk away. Plastic or non-breakable plates and bowls in the children’s section of the restaurant would be good too. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are planning to return!

I was surprised how clean this hotel is, there’s always staff cleaning, pool toilets are cleaned every 15mins. The pool is massive and never had issues with finding a sunbed. Even the lifeguards go round and take towels off sunbeds at 1030 which aren’t being used. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food halls are split between families with under 12 and over 12s, the food variety in my thoughts was really good. Was always something to choose, plus theme nights and bbqs. Entertainment is good throughout the day, always something on for the little one. The hotel is about 15/20min walk from alvor harbour/beach. There’s a bus that travels between the hotel and the beach. I would book this hotel again, we really enjoyed our time here.

This hotel was exceptional. The pool and hotel grounds were beautiful and well-kept. Our small kids loved the kiddie pool and the play structure. The food buffets were fantastic, good selection each day - lots of different cuisine to choose from. The all-inclusive drinks were also great, tasty and good selection! The activities and entertainment was also a lot of fun. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My kids are still raving about it and we stayed there a month ago. This hotel was definitely the highlight of our two-week trip to Portugal!! 10/10 reccommend

I couldn’t rate the property highly enough. Great location, very clean, fresh towels every day. Isabel and Antonio couldn’t have been kinder. They were very helpful offering directions and recommended places to eat and shop. My son was in the hospital and they were so sympathetic and caring and were very obliging in keeping his medicine in the fridge when he was discharged. We really felt looked after and it was a home away from home. They treat their guests like family.

We zijn speciaal terug gekomen naar dit hotel voor de eigenaar en zijn vrouw. Hier krijgt men een ruime kamer met bad en balkon en ontbijt. This is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been at! Big villa, comfortable beds, wonderful heated pool, a lot of sun chairs, shaded areas around the pool…. Close to Benagil cave, close to 7 Gagnon valleys, close to really nice beaches, not too far from Albufeira… all the staff is SO friendly. It’s even nicer than in the pictures. Will most probably stay here again if I come back. You do ideally need a car for the Algarve though… this has a privé parking right in front of your villa and a secured gate to enter.

Nicely designed property. Bright and modern. It has everything you need for a nice and relaxed stay. From the bedroom on the second floor of our property we had fantastic views and we could see the sea. The pool area was amazing! It was mostly quite and the temperature of the salt water pool was perfect. The staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and, most importantly, very helpful in attending to any needs you may have during your stay. We would absolutely love to come back next year!

Holiday park with 24 houses and 10 appartments. Spacious, park is not packed with houses. Always enough beds around the swimming pool. Heated pool, wich is absolutely necessary in April and May. Nice atmosphere in the interior of the house. I loved the warm and hard shower!!!!! Very friendly manager, named Hugo!

Fantastic facilities ..pool, pool entertainment , food wonderful and so fresh especially fish and fruit , salads. Also we have a 10 year old who loves soccer and with soccer pitch would play with his new friends. Great place for family vacation. Pool water though was very cold initially but beautiful when in for a few minutes.

Reception staff were great, particularly Ruben was very helpful. We were offered a tour around the hotel by Julio, who was very nice. He also helped elevate our anniversary with nice preparations in the room which were fantastic. The restaurant staff was incredibly quick and efficient. 10/10 for them. We also enjoyed all the variety of shrimp. The pool was great, we tried the adults only but it wasn't for us, it was too calm, we really enjoyed the main pool where we were able to laugh and play and be silly. We only wished the music around the pool was a bit louder. The entertainers were awesome, Pestaninha was always a sight for sore eyes, even as a couple with no kids, we were happy to see him and join in the activities. Teresa, Luis and Rafael were really nice and we leave a special shout for Marta: whenever we saw her, she was always working hard, giving it her all, and she made our two nights extra special with her bingo and karaoke. Location was excellent - super close to the beach. Very spacious rooms. The pool was large and good and well. Food was available at all times (highlight for the afternoon Hot-Dogs by the pool)

The hotel is very clean and neat and staff is great. The staff at the reception was very professional and helpful with our room change. The staff at the restaurant was also very helpful every time we had a question or a request. Bartenders were also really nice and kind. Animators did a great job with all the programmes and activities, they were very kind, nice, and active. It was good to see how many families stay at the hotel with their children and having a great time thanks to the great staff. Thank you very much for the professional and kind staff that made our stay even more relaxing and cheerful. The hotel and all the facilities are great, we really enjoyed our stay! Fantastic view to the ocean, great room, amazing swimming pools, restaurant and bars and the ocean is just a few minutes away. Thank you very much for everything! The hotel had everything we needed. A great breakfast selection, large outdoor pool with bonus of indoor pool and sauna, tons of sunbeds to choose from, indoor and outside bar, a café/bar closeby directly in-between hotel and beach, a couple of minutes (barely) walk to the beach from the hotel with sunbeds available to hire at a very reasonable rate, super friendly and accomodating staff, decent sized room with balcony.... The list goes on! It's one of the few places I've stayed where I can 100% see myself going back to. We were only there three nights and I would love to stay for a bit longer next time.

Excellent location right on the beach front. Plenty of things to do within the resort with beautiful surroundings. Perfect for relaxing or young families. We went with our 3 year old and had a great time. Mini golf, a gym, two outdoor pools, heated indoor pool and spa, kids club, beautiful garden areas.

Location is 5 minutes by taxi from Alvor centre or 20 minutes via the lovely boardwalk. Quiet location by the sea really adds to the property, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle. Simple hotel, does what it says on the tin and has a bit of everything - Breakfast great, gym simple but good, indoor pool with sauna, outdoor pool with plenty of deck chairs, small kids club also. Hotel was undergoing some routine maintenance as they prepare for summer and this was to be expected.

Location was exceptional right in the heart of Alvor just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Alvor with brilliant food and restaurants. The facilities again were exceptional the indoor pool and sauna was brilliant considering we went at a cold time of year however the gym and outdoor pool was lovely and clean. Beach access from the hotel which made it easy to access the beach

I loved the stunning views and the location, I loved that the hotel had an indoor pool, free crazy golf, and an outdoor play area, I thought the fact that towels for the pool for a few days were free and the safe in the room didnt require a deposit was also appreciated.

Beautiful hotel I stayed for a week with my family (children) very welcoming staff and efficient within the service. Excellent food choices for the all inclusive buffet with a variety of foods catering for people’s preferences / dietary requirements. As well as the snack bar open in the day with food and drinks. The rooms are bright and clean everyday restocked mini fridge with different drinks, clean towels and made beds aircon was really good kept rooms cool. Only downfall was the shower head the pressure is slow and ants in room, lovely view on balcony of the sea as beach is 3 minute walk. The main outdoor pool is safe with it not being too deep as well as a baby pool with 2 water slides, only downfall is the pools aren’t heated so are really cold helps when it’s sunny to warm up. Definitely will come here again next year lovely atmosphere and the entertainment was good for the children and themed nights and with the food.

Vey nice clean hotel. Room was too small for an extra bed so if you have a child maybe get a suite. Excellent pool. Entertainment was o.k the reptile show was good except you cannot take photo's, only buy the ones they are taking. Only sell internet access by the hour & you have to use it all in one hit. No hotel telephone or cash facilities. A short walk from amenities & main bus stop. Lovely beach. Didn't feel happy leaving 4 year old at childrens club, lovely lady running it but activity was with sticks so not good with eight year olds pretending they are spears. Excellent toddler pool but no shelter over it. We ate there most nights as the children could play on the grass. Food was o.k but I guess you get what you pay for. Definately recommend resort, cleanliness of hotel & pools.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay as a family of 6 and we absolutely loved it! We can’t wait to return! Rooms are super clean and more than adequate for a family stay. Loved the fridge and mini bar. Shower was good. Air con worked really well. We had no issues with either room. Pool was clean and the snack bar was fab for use throughout the day. We did also walk to the beach (only 5 minutes away) for a few days. Sun beds by the pool started filling up around 9:30am. The little shop in reception was really useful before we took a bigger trip to Lidl (10 minute walk away). The food was good. We loved eating breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. Evening meals weren’t always to our taste but we loved eating out at the restaurants in town (very reasonably priced). We also booked the Italian a la carte as part of the stay and really enjoyed it. The restaurant does get very busy during the evening service especially around 7pm but we usually ate around 8:30pm when it was quieter. We had an early flight home and the restaurant was open very early that day. The entertainment looked good but we walked into town most evenings so didn’t really stay to watch it. The kids loved our day trip to Zoo Marine. We also had a fun trip on the train one evening. Staff were so kind, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We always asked if there was something we required and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

We knew of this hotel but had never stayed here and have been to this resort many times. We were kindly upgraded to a pool view room. It was a very nicely decorated and obviously with the name had a nautical theme to it, very clean and the upkeep of the room a high standard. We had a buffet breakfast included which had a very good selection of everything and a chef at an egg station to cook omlettes,fried eggs etc,it was also nice to be able to get breakfast til 10.30am The hotel itself is at one end of the resort and probably a 20 minute walk to the other end but on the way there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. It also advertises itself as a child friendly hotel ,as we went out of season there were very few children there but activities were arranged by the pool and music played so I would advise that if you like a more child free zone only to go out of season . The staff were all very nice and pleasant and I found it difficult to find anything to complain about. Another nice thing is the management invite you on your last night to meet them and discuss your stay and give them feedback ,something you rarely experience nowadays . If I had to have a little moan it would be having to pay €2.50 per day for the safe , I haven't done this for many years and seems a retro step. Wifi was also available and free of charge.

Short break to celebrate a Birthday and we were made to feel special from start to finish! Lovely complementary Birthday cake and bottle of wine delivered to our room on arrival. I had emailed to request an upper floor and quiet room and wasn’t disappointed . Room 512 double Which overlooked the pool and had lovely views of the sunset. Spotlessly clean and very comfy bed. Mini bar was refreshed every day as were towels. Lots of choice and variety when it came to food. All presented well and hot. After reading previous reviews we were pleased we got to try the banana & chocolate crumble it didn’t disappoint. Staff all very happy and helpful especially in the snack bar and a great entertainment team. Pool was very clean and maintained as were the gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back as sea was too rough for the boat trip to the caves. We did however walk the cliff top path to Benagil caves to view from above. Lots of lovely beaches in the area and the Best ice creams at N-ice cream shop. A fantastic hotel all round.

The hotel is very cozy, well-maintained, has excellent silent location just in a few min from Praia do Vau and a few min from food stores and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, the outdoor pool is clean and has a charming area, the indoor one with jacuzzi we didn’t check (the hats are required and if you don’t have one you may buy at the reception), the breakfasts are one of the best I have ever had in hotels (the food is very delicious and every day there are some small changes, therefore I didn’t get bored), moreover you may include dinners for an additional price or simply cook at your room which has a well-equipped kitchen and all the kitchenware you may need. One more thing that I liked is that the hotel provides guests with robes, which are very useful for the swimming pools and just for staying comfortable in the rooms.

19/26-Apr-2024 - Spacious junior suite with sufficient chairs, spacious balcony from where the ocean was visible, proper breakfast, good public parking, quiet area, close to the ocean (15 min's walk) and surrounded by some waste land. Kitchenette equipped sufficiently (one big and one small cooking plate), allowing to cook a simple meal when tempted by the rich choice of meat and fresh fish in the bigger supermarkets. We can recommend the “big” Intermarché at Alvor which is easier accessible than the centre of Portimão. Our daughter of 13 liked the indoor swimming pool; The outside pool was a bit too cold in April.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! It was very pleasant and quiet hotel with a great outdoor area, that includes a pool. It is kids friendly and my daughter loved and enjoyed it there. The hotel rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming towards us! Overly a fantastic place that I would fully recommend staying at!

The service, drinks, cleanliness everything was outstanding. You definitely get what you pay for and although yes some of the restaurants were on the pricey side the service and experience was the best. We ate at the oasis bar, the kids pool, mizu and Adega. The oasis bar had beautiful drinks and delicious food. The pool bar was delicious, I read a few reviews saying the pool food was poor and I’m not sure what was expected but it was great. Mizu was amazing. The staff was out of their way friendly. The only thing were the grounds were slightly confusing to figure out where to go, the kids pool was a bit of a hike but once there you were waited on, I found chairs easily even though we had to sit in the back a bit. The staff was attentive. I’ve never had a better experience at a resort.

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are fantastic, attentive and go above and beyond to make it a great experience. They even caught it was my birthday and greeted me with birthday wishes at breakfast and a card and chocolates. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. My wife kept noticing small details that were attended to, such as real flowers and plants in all the rooms. Complimentary water every day was great, breakfast was fantastic with fresh delicious ingredients every day and pastries that tasted as good as they looked. I didn't eat at any of the restaurants on the resort besides breakfast so I can't speak to them but I would expect they are great. The stay lived up to all the hype I read on other reviews. It was a bit windy and rainy while we were there so we didn't enjoy the outdoor pools or beach but did enjoy the gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam rooms. Thanks again for a great stay.

This is our second time at VVP after 6 years away. Undoubtedly luxury and five star, this resort has the friendliest, most accommodating staff, 10+ wonderful restaurants and every facility going. Minor niggles are the lack of free water by the pool (you can get cartons at reception and the gym but they charge €5 by the pool). And some inconsistent housekeeping. Otherwise first class every moment.

We are regulars 2x year spring autumn and as usual we got a warm welcome from friendly professional staff -really nice room excellent view over pool and property generally uninterrupted as far as sea !sunny balcony from quite early in morning until afternoon -Atlantico breakfast buffet again outstanding and very well managed leading to efficient sevice . We had dinner in Adega -x2-Whale -Arte Nautica and Praia Dourada all of which were excellent in different ways -only disappointment was Giardino (sp?) where we found service a bit chaotic -lots of people but not many doing much !Menu is actually quite limited -I had excellent vitello tonnato and pasta amatriciana -but very slow -which seemed to be a common experience from where we were sitting -my wife was disappointed in her pizza margarita -quite thick crust but not really crispy -which was odd as she had excellent pizza from Whale earlier in the week -as food seems to come out of same kitchen difficult to understand ! We used Garden Terrace for lunch -Rita was excellent -she managed to get Falaffel salad reinstated for my wife after it had been removed in menu changes from last few times !She is a gem ! We also had lunch a number of times on Terrace -its a familiar team now and very reliable for both food and service -Sam and his colleagues continue to provide an oustanding experience for both pre post dinnner drinks Finally the hotel did a great job in managing the power outage that occurred -thoroughly professional !

We spent a superb week at the resort. As always, the grounds were beautifully maintained, it really was a pleasure to be in the surroundings and I think of the resort as my sanctuary where I can truly switch off. The family suite was spacious, homely and kept immaculately clean. We adore the pottery in the bathroom from Porches, it really shows the resort’s passion for the Algarve. And we were grateful to stay in the suite we requested, 23. We enjoyed spending time at all pools and in particular had a chance to reconnect with Ermelinda, Fernanda and Ana whom are very special people. The beating heart of the resort is the main bar, we loved spending time there and it’s a joy to see the wonderful team night or day. Service and drinks are top notch. Breakfast at Atlantico was always excellent, we love that there are two options, and Adega remains our favourite restaurant, although they are all very good. Thank you for a wonderful stay, VVP. The breakfast is good with everything you need for a decent breakfast plenty of choice. Pool area had lots of sunbeds and we did not have any trouble getting a sunbed. However my only gripe is the pool area was cleaned on a morning and the floor around the pool hosed down with water but left with lots of excess surface water which I considered to be very dangerous as there were a lot of elderly people in the hotel. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful and we are already booked for next year. The position of the hotel is also very good for access to the town and reasonably flat.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were excellent, really attentive, and available at reception 24/7 making it easy to check in and out late at night. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Good selection of food at breakfast, all fresh and good quality. Excellent lunch menu at the poolside bar. Brilliant location, 4 minute walk to the centre of the town and 2 minute walk to the supermarket. Towels available to rent for the pool, very handy and can be swapped for fresh towels daily. Quiet and relaxing pool, probably more suitable for couples and families with older kids. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Small but perfect hotel, lovely room overlooking the pool. Room and hotel meticulously kept clean, pool area too. Lovely food from the pool bar, recommend the tuna baguette, delicious ! Lovely breakfast choice and plenty of it. But best of all are all the staff, friendly, polite, professional and for us their help when we needed it was exceptional. Would love to return one day.

The hotel was very clean. Room was small but ideal. Lots of wardrobe space and spotless and serviced everyday. Pool area was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly. Lovely housekeeping team. The receptionist who checked us in was very nice & helpful. Also the man in the pool bar was very pleasant. Great that you could get a fresh pool towel each day with a small deposit at the start of the stay.

We have just returned home having spent a week at the hotel. We could not fault it, the room was a good size, we had a standard double, with bathroom, and balcony.. It was extremely clean. The room was serviced daily and clean towels were available on a daily basis. The pool area was lovely and the pool bar served good food. We liked the addition of the new sun lounger too. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice for everyone. All the staff at Alvor Jardim are exceptional from the receptionists to the ladies who serviced the rooms. Sasha in particular was great, she was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Another nice touch was the manager holding a drinks meeting with the guests on a Thursday. We’ve had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The location is 5 mins from the town and a 20 min walk to the beach. If anything did spoil it for us it would be the constant complaining of some of the other guests! If these people had issues why didn’t they turn up to the meeting on Thursday with the manager to voice their concerns?! We’ve stayed in much more luxurious hotels where the staff were rude and were nowhere near as clean as this hotel. IWe really enjoyed our stay.

We just returned from a 7 night stay at Alga Seco Parque and was really impressed. We stayed in one of the two bedroom bungalows. The sea views were amazing and there was plenty of space and the kitchen was well stocked. All the staff especially Bruno were very friendly and attentive. The Bistro served lovely food and the staff were very friendly also. The kids loved the pool. There was also a smaller heated pool, which was great. The Boardwalk was great for sunset walks to the town which was about ten minutes walk. We would definitely recommend this place and we will be back.

Our bungalow was lovely with beautiful view over the sea. The setting is just amazing. Everywhere was so clean and gardens so well kept. We had our own cleaner - thank you Francesca. Pool area excellent. Bistro at pool was superb as regards food and drink. Another thanks to Nelson. All the staff were so friendly and helpful as regards booking restaurants, taxis etc.

Location was excellent to walking into town and the coastal boardwalk. Gorgeous view from the pool, one pool was heated which was awesome. Staff were great and friendly. Very clean, nice touches ie delivered Easter bread, well equipped kitchen Etc.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here. It is in a great location and only a short walk to lots of great restaurants and cafe's. There is also a lovely boardwalk along the cliff with great views. We rented a car however you would not need one here as the location is so good. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was very spacious with a large balcony and superb views. The Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need and the bed was really comfortable. Carmo did a super job of cleaning our apartment too. The property is set in beautiful gardens which adds to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There is a lovely pool area too and there was never a problem getting a bed. Also towels for the pool are provided which is a nice touch. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and informative both prior to arrival and during our stay. We would highly recommend the Algar Seco Parque and we will definitely be returning.

Dark wood is in traditional Portuguese style which compliments the terracotta tiling. The sea view terrace with a beautiful outlook from dawn to dusk is well worth the extra money. All the staff could not have been more helpful the receptionist giving advice on where to purchase a battery for our rental car key which was failing. The bar staff very friendly and accommodating, engaging in pleasant conversation. Even though the hotel was busy the staff at breakfast stayed calm and welcoming and efficiently seated guests as they arrived. The lounge/bar area is a pleasant meeting up point or place to relax in the evening. The outside partially covered terrace is perfect for morning coffee, aperitifs, or just to chill out and read with the soothing sound of the sea as the only accompaniment. The gardens/pool area are superbly maintained, all areas spotlessly clean . There are different areas with loungers , always plenty available, we didn’t use the pool unfortunately as it was too cold. We are very much looking forward to our next stay when we will be joined by family and friends - we have stayed in many hotels and in our minds The Casino meets our needs perfectly and is extremely good value .

We had an amazing time at the hotel casino rooms are a bit dated but they were so clean and great views, we had a sea view. The staff were lovely from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, from reception, bar staff , pool and restaurant staff the maids were lovely and always friendly. The pool was amazing and had no problem getting a sun bed. Can't wait to go back next year x

Location was fantastic, the facilities were really good. Nice pool and loungers by the pool. There were also loungers by the beach for the hotel which was great too. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The pool was quite big and had a kids pool separate which was handy. The breakfast was good and you can use the sun loungers on the beach for free in the hotels designated section. This was a massive bonus but all loungers would be gone by 9.30am. We had sun loungers on our balcony which was a bonus and not advertised but wasn't in every room like ours. The reason I'm giving it 8 is because of the free beds on the beach otherwise it would be a 7.

We arrived at the hotel at around 1pm following airport transfers. I had asked for early check in as I was travelling with my disabled father in law but on arrival I was told this was not possible. Went back to check in at 3, but rooms were still not ready. I was finally able to check us all in at about 4, an hour late. No complimentary drinks were offered which I felt was a little poor. However, once we got into the rooms, they were sparkling clean, light and airy. The pool was beautiful and the beach view was second to none. Luis the barman was a particular standout, who couldn’t do enough to make our holiday special. Diego on the bar is also really lovely. Breakfast was great, and we stayed for dinner a couple of times too which was lovely. The waiting staff were all pleasant and hard working. The location was central, but also quiet at night which was great for us. Staff on the reception desk were always pleasant and greeted us warmly every time they saw us. Housekeeping staff were also all very pleasant, and kept the rooms incredibly clean. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone, but I’d say not to be married to a 3pm check in time as you may not get it. However, if you are not travelling with children or someone who is elderly and disabled, I’d say there is plenty locally to keep you busy until you check in.

I travelled solo and booked a twin room with balcony. The room is spacious and clean. The cleaning ladies tidy up the room daily. The staff is very helpful and they try to acomodate every need of their guests. You can rent a beach towel - you just leave a 10 euros deposit. You can change the towel daily, and the money will be given to you when you return the towel (this was very helpful, since I didn't pack one haha). The breakfast is nice, you have plenty of options to choose from. The hotel is close to the beach and close to many great restaurants. I suggest you try the portugese steak at least once - it's delicious, couldn't stop ordering that.

I fell in love with this hotel and its staff. I felt so welcomed and taken care of. Everyone was so nice to me and trying to make my experience the best. Half board was very nice, including fish or seafood buffet every evening. Wine is also included in the dinner buffet. Lovely restaurant staff allowed me later to take the rest of my wine in a plastic cup to my balcony. I had the most beautiful single room with the view on the ocean. There is also panoramic elevator with great views. Location of this hotel is perfect, right in the middle of Praia da Rocha and near stunning beaches with cliffs. Highly recommended!

Great location….with direct views onto the beach and easy access to a multitude of bars and restaurants. Room was surprisingly well equipped and modern with nice bed, plenty of wardrobe space, fridge, tv, ac/heating, hair dryer, free WiFi and safe(with additional small cost). There was also a nice balcony with table and chairs. Room cleaned and beds made every day by smiling, friendly staff. Lifts were fast and several available. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful making the checking in experience nice and fast. Plenty of decent options at breakfast which was within the rate, and decent amount of tables available.

We had a side view of the ocean, and it was absolutely amazing to sit on the balcony, hear the ocean, and smell the sea breeze. Breakfast was included in the price and was quite good — we definitely didn’t go hungry. I would have liked to see more vegetables, but that’s just my personal preference. The location is great — it’s not on a pedestrian street where it tends to be very noisy, but next to a road, which also makes it convenient for taking a taxi. Highly recommended!

The apartment had a fridge freezer, hob, toaster, kettle, washing machine and more. Well stocked. Easy to dry clothes on a provided rail on balcony. Cleaning service to apartment every second day.

Apartments are located around 10 mins from the beach, 10 mins from the marina and 15 from old town. All walkable distances or you can use uber as they are very reliable and cheap in Portimao. The apartments have a big balcony, fully functional kitchen, warm water in bathroom at all times and a big bed. The pool facilities in the garden were nice and lots of sunloungers always available. Indoor pool was great and you had to reserve it meaning only you were in it. Fresh towels were brought nearly everyday and bedsheets changed on request. Staff were so accommodating at all times and absolutely amazing. They had our room ready early which was so welcome after a long day of traveling.

The apartments were spotless, very comfortable, kitchen amenities were perfect, & all cleaning products available in the kitchen . All toiletries were provided in the bathroom to a high standard. The living area was large, bedroom very comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely but due to the weather we only spent 2 afternoons there but indoor pool was a treasure. It was so relaxing and pleasantly warm. The environment of the apartments was relaxing and quiet. The apartments are situated approx 10 minutes either was from Praia de Rocha and Portimao. Super market close by and a lovely coffee shop across the road.

A really beautiful hotel/apartment. Very clean and well equipped. A great size one bed apartment with plenty of living space. A really large sunny balcony with fab views of the Marina. Plenty of parking. The pool area was excellent, and the indoor spa pool a real treat.

The apartment was really nice with a beautiful view over the pool and the Marina. We had all we needed for the week. The indoor pool was perfect with the kids and since we are in low season we were lucky enough to have it for ourselves most mornings. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We visited many places around Portimao with max 1 hr distance. Value for money at this place at this time of the year was excellent!!!

Had a meal at the Miss Pasta restaurant and it was delicious! The beach is beautiful. The 2 bedroomed apt was great! We had every thing we needed. It was cleaned and sheets changed during our stay and towels were changed twice.

Staff were very friendly & helpful - especially Nuno at Reception & staff/mgmt in pool bar resteraunt. Room was very spacious & comfortable - too many tables though. Lots of pool choices but they are in need of repair/maintenance. Not a very buggy friendly walk to Atlantic Pool Bar or Beach Food very tasty You need to get taxis to Alvor - 7E approx each way

Pool was fantastic, especially the "salt water pool". The apart-hotel we stayed in was spacious, clean and easy to get to. Reception called a taxi for us each night that was there in minutes to bring us into the centre.

The staff were very helpful, especially the restaurant, bar staff. The pool and pool staff also.

Clean apartment on arrival however it's not cleaned very regularly throughout the stay, maybe twice weekly. Overall, pool view apartment was good, spacious. Complex is nice, good amenities for kids Staff at Pool bar wonderful, Lukas and Monica were very friendly and helpful

The choice of food was amazing. Everyday there were various dishes that we tasted. Location was a short walk to a very nice beach. The pool area was enjoyable , there was enough sun beds for us during the day. Pool was clean and well looked after. All the staff was amazing and easily answered any questions that we had. The room was clean and quite big. Did not use any of the kitchen equipment .

We had a great experience staying at RR Amarilis in Praia da Rocha. From the moment we arrived, the reception team gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, attentive, and always available whenever we needed anything. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and very comfortable – exactly what we were hoping for. It had everything we needed to relax after busy days, and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere in the building. The location was ideal for us. It was close to both the event we were attending and the beach, which made everything super convenient. We also had a chance to enjoy the pool and the gym, both of which were clean and well maintained. We dined at the hotel restaurant and were happy to find a variety of options to suit different tastes, which made meals easy and enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at RR Amarilis and would happily return. It’s a great choice if you're looking for comfort, good service, and a perfect location in Praia da Rocha.

Very helpful and professional staff, huge and very clean apartment (not the most modern rooms but you have everything you need), excellent selection of foods and drinks for diner, great pool and bar, easy parking, the reception is open non-stop which helped a lot since our flight was delayed, they even had sandwiches, fruits and water ready for us when we arrived just in case we were hungry (we missed dinner)

Very friendly. 10 mins walk from the beach. A curtesy bus would have helped especially with children. Pool was lovely. Beds generally available but not with shade. These were taken by early risers. Need more beds/ shade. No life guards but pool attendants who might help you get a bed. Small onsite shop selling crisps, water, chocolate, pool toys and tourist souvenirs. Not bread, milk etc No inflatables in pool which is safer. Aerobics/ zumba in pool each morning. Apartments were large and clean. Hand towels/ tea towels/ bins changed every day. Sheets/ bath towels once a week. Positives Family atmosphere Large apartment Close to Alvor/ Praia de Roche Children’s entertainment Nice pool. Negative Not in walking distance to a shop but a large supermarket nearby by taxi. Need taxi to get to restaurants. We had cockroaches in our apartment. Only moved on third complaint and no support from hotel. Pool restaurant was poor/ dull. Overall, I would recommend for families especially with younger children.

The studio was exceptionally clean, with daily housekeeping. Towels were replenished regularly, and extra pool towels were provided every two days. • The studio came with additional blankets and pillows, air conditioning, a TV, a fridge in the kitchenette, cutlery, glasses, bowls, a small table, a cute lamp, and a sofa. • The balcony was large and perfect for enjoying snacks, equipped with a mop and a drying rack. • Pools were spacious and well-maintained: one for children and a larger one for adults, which older kids also enjoyed. Pool staff provided swim noodles and balls for children, and the pool bar served food, drinks, and snacks, with seating available. • Kids’ facilities included a kids’ club, football field, playground, and mini-golf, though we didn’t use all of them. • The studio’s 2nd-floor location was quiet, ideal for restful nights. • Afternoon room cleaning was convenient when returning from the pool or outdoor activities. • The bathroom was very clean and maintained daily.

We were very happy with our stay here. We had a two-bedroom apartment, there were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room. We had a very spacious room with a huge balcony overlooking the pool. It was very clean and liked the extra shampoo etc that was refilled regularly. Towels changed regularly too but the room was not mopped or swept during cleaning. There was equipment to do it ourselves though. Upon arrival we were asked to pay a deposit of 100, we were not informed of this beforehand so be aware, we got it back with no problem though. The pool area is great, with loads of beds and space in early June, the only disappointment was no kids club or pool bar till June 15th which we had not been informed of either. The staff everywhere were so helpful and any problems or questions were dealt with efficiently and with a smile. The location is great, you can walk to a beach which has a few restaurants at it, a 3.50 taxi to Praia de Rocha or Alvor, and a 10 min walk to the Intermarche. We have stayed in many places in the Algarve and I would definitely return here.

Spacious and clean apartment. Air conditioners in both rooms. Large terrace-balcony. They provide extra towels free of charge for the pool. The pool is clean and quite large. There were enough sunbeds, and we always found a place to relax. The hotel lobby is very beautiful. During dinner, a wonderful band was playing live music. There’s free table tennis and outdoor tennis available.

Alessandro was amazing! All the staff members were warm, welcoming and funny. The pool is huge and you're a 6 euro uber away from the bengali caves and amazing beaches. The place was very sanitary. It is not somewhere you want to go if you're looking to party but is an amazing place to relax. For two backpackers looking for both adventure and relaxation this place was perfect.

The best part of my stay - the amazing guy in the Front desk. He was nice, friendly, polite and super supportive. The room was good, reasonable price, nice swimming pool and enjoyed the room as well. Super recommended

Hotel is in nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance from the centre. Room was big with a small kitchen corner with coffee machine etc if you stay longer time. Breakfast was good with many options and hotel bar was nice as well. Pool area was large enough, two pools, smaller for children and bigger for the adults. Bigger is not that deep... The staff is excellent and very helpful! Big thanks for them for the restaurant tips and arranging our boat trip, highly recommend. Hotel has a big parking and it's free of charge!

We booked a deluxe suite. A good size room and balcony. The room decor is a bit tatty but not awful. The kitchenette facilities were dates but functional, a real added bonus. The fridge was especially helpful. There is plenty of storage and the bathroom was clearly recently renovated and was of a good standard. The on site snacks and lunches were excellent in terms of quality, taste and value for money. The tuna toastie is amazing! The restaurant is fantastic! An excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, eggs made to order if requested and a reasonable price. It’s a short walk down a steep hill to the town centre. Downhill was fine but the walk back was not easy and were pretty fit and healthy, but there are plenty of Ubers to transport you back to the hotel. The hotel pool is lovely but it would be much better used if it was heated. It was very cold so people were avoiding going in. The hotel staff really did make our stay superb, they are super helpful. They assisted with excursions and travel arrangements. They are attentive, cheerful and fun. Overall the service was exceptional!

They are a gated property with a huge parking lot so charging for parking was pretty pathetic. Being told we can’t eat anything that isn’t purchased from the bar was a little much as well, so we snuck our own snacks in anyway. We were a large group and there’s a store literally across the street. Sometimes you just want to nibble on snacks, not order a meal or beverage from the bar. Would be nice if they had shuffleboard or a games room, croquette, I don’t know, ANYTHING in the way of entertainment. Maybe live music or something on occasion. The staff was wonderful, as were the breakfasts, impeccable really, but sooooooooooooo slow. Order your coffee/tea and eggs IMMEDIATELY or you’ll never get them. Also, the hard boiled eggs are soft so if you want a true hard boiled, specify clearly. The lattes, fresh squeezed orange juice and Madeline’s are delicious. The showers leak onto the floor, all of them, it’s weird. They have this half panel of glass that moves & water goes everywhere, which you waste half your towels wiping up. There’s also a weird window into the shower with shutters that open from the outside & you can see through even when they’re closed. Was hoping to hear the history of the building, but nobody knew anything.. its gorgeous!

Just faultless. Food fresh and beautifully presented. Rooms, pool and lounges and nothing but spotless. The staff are so accommodating and pleasant. The architecture, fittings and furniture are fabulous. The hotel pool area and immaculate gardens provide a tranquil place in which to relax, and offers great views of the lovely clean beach. The room is well sized with a good balcony, a well fitted bathroom and all of the usual facilities - apart from 1 - tea making facilities which are essential if British! Portimao is not a great destination, but the hotel and grounds offer something of a much higher quality than the surrounding streets. If going to Portimao, I doubt that you could find a better hotel in the entire town. In the same group as Le Manoir near Oxford, this is a high quality establishment, but at a more everyday price range and without the pomp, snobby and stuffiness of the 5 star British hotels. A few glasses of complementary fizz with breakfast - my kind of hotel.

Bela Vista is a stunning property. And not just the views and stellar condition of the hotel but the entire team from Gonzalo to the front desk to the restaurant to the amazing spa team - everyone is incredible. They make you feel immediately at home when you arrive. My room felt like the perfect beach getaway with ocean views, a patio, comfortable bed and towels for the beach. The pool is gorgeous with beautiful chairs and cabanas. I enjoyed morning cappuccinos and afternoon pina coladas poolside while pleasant music played. I overheard the property was booked but it never once felt crowded. The entire staff does an amazing job having this property stand out even checking in prior to my arrival. The spa services are so relaxing. And Vista was the best restaurant I frequented in all of Portugal. I cannot wait to return.

Third visit and the quality is maintained. The staff are amazing with particular mention to deborah,allana and mara. They make it extra special with service unlike anywhere ive ever been before. It is unfortunate that it is not adults only and over 12's are allowed (whilst limited in number). The pool area is quiet and relaxed, the spa is excellent and very good value for money. Being gated and off the main strip is ideal as it keeps the hotel secluded but literally 2 mins from shops and restaurants. We have stayed in the main hotel, the garden rooms and the blue house and the garden room is my fav with lovely see view balconies. The free smoothies by the pool are fantastic. Expensive but worth every penny

Beautiful beach hotel. Close to shops and resteraunts. The room was amazing with a great view. Very comfortable. Staff were lovely and attentive. The food at the hotel was AMAZING! The pool area was so relaxing and the pool itself was beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel. The spa was unbelievable. Had a deep tissue massage that was the best I ever had. 1st class hotel.

A great find, far exceeded the 2 star rating the hotel has. Very comfortable large modern rooms which were cleaned everyday to a high standard. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We arrived end of November so the pool was too cold for us but saw several youngsters in there so wasn't that cold. The area around the pool was equipped with good sunloungers and tables and chairs in well kept gardens, sheltered so a real suntrap. Lounge area comfortable with well priced drinks and snacks. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from the beach front or town centre but the hotel runs a free shuttle bus there and back twice a day which was great. There is also public bus stop 100 metres from the hotel that runs every 30 mins to Portimao or Alvor. Would definitely return.

Myself and six friends stayed at the Mirachoro in July and had the best time. The pool was the perfect size, the location was great, not too far from anything. The rooms were immaculate and the pool bar had a great selection. Thankyou for a great holiday

Stayed here for a week during July as part of a cheap package with Jet2 Our self catering room was basic but adequate, with a clean and comfortable bed, decent bathroom, and good air conditioning Kitchen amenities were very basic but you don’t go on holiday to cook Staff were friendly and the hotel was quite peaceful Pool was small and shallow but fine for a quick dip to cool down, and it was never very busy - it was open 8am to 8pm which was pleasing Bar area was ok too, with reasonably priced drinks. Food was very basic but also cheap You can walk to Aldi, Lidl and McDonald’s in 10 minutes, and to the beach in 20 minutes An Uber to and from the beach was €4 Overall the hotel met our needs as somewhere cheap to sleep and shower as we explored the Algarve If you’re someone who wants to lie by the hotel pool all day, then it might not be for you

This hotel was lovely, basic clean and had everything you could need. I'm sure it was 2 star and honestly I don't know how. We stayed at the Mirachoro 2 and the apartment was massive! It had everything you would need for self catering but we ate out as there was so much choice and the prices are very reasonable. We ate at the hotel sometimes, the food was good although the breakfast while nice I felt wasn't great value for money compared to others we had in pria da roche. The drinks we lovely but I would say get the cocktails in the evening when the gentleman is working the bar as opposed to during the day. The pineapple mojito is beautiful. While small the pool area is nice and we had no issues getting a sun bed. Taxis are reasonable, about 4 Euro in to pria da roche and in to portimao itself. There is a cafe right next to the hotel called the Funky lounge, great food and reasonable prices. We booked a boat trip through reception to explore the caves 30 euro for 2 hours. Would recommend this also. Well worth the money. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for a cheap clean place to stay.

But there is alot of walking. There is a local tourist train/bus that loops around the area and into the local small town we took that from 5 mins outside the hotel and back again. It is a nice travel as it I smack open carriges with the wind blowing through. It is approx hour to albuferia. We didn't go. If you want to just relax and like walking this may be for you but if you want to be close to bars restaurants and busy areas this may not be for you. Nice apartments slightly remote cold pool. Beautiful beaches

Fantastic property, very comfortable. Lovely bedroom, large balcony overlooking playground and swimming pool is super convenient when you stay with kids. It was surprisingly quiet, as noise wise, even though we had youth enjoying themself floor below us. Rooms cleaned every two days, with fresh towels. I mean the rooms were spotless! Kitchen was equipped with pots and cutlery, toaster and microwave. Intermarché shop 15min walk and it’s a supermarket so you can get there anything really. We didn’t get all inclusive just breakfast and really regretted it as we still end up eating every night at buffet as food was delicious, and buying drinks at the pool bar anyways. When walking across the other hotel, the beach was literally 10min away, very gorgeous and not busy at all which was another plus. We still end up at the hotels swimming pool as our boy made friend and enjoyed himself there more than the beach. Rouben and Kate entertainers were fantastic, made sure kids are safe and have loads of fun. We will definitely be back next year. We stayed a week, just came back and if you’re looking for a calm place to rest from busy schedule this is definitely place to go to.

This property was excellent value for money. We found it very peaceful. Couldn’t hear much in the rooms But with a great vibe . ALL STAFF were amazing cleaners, bar staff and waiters (especially the sweet spot) the entertainment team,our granddaughter loved you all. And reception would give you any information needed with a smile .we stayed self catering. Everything we needed was in the room. Plenty of lovely restaurants around , and large supermarket a 15 minute walk, lots of fresh produce meats and fish. The beaches were an easy walk away with stalls on the way to buy all beach gear. Umbrella is a good buy as it was roasting and no shelter. The pool guys out every morning scrubbing the whole area. People get their towels out as soon as it opens at 9! The pool food was good especially the chicken wraps and reasonable prices. The evening entertainment in the sweet spot was amazing, something different every night. We couldn’t fault this place and cannot wait to go back next year . Thank you all for a wonderful fantastic holiday.

We are a family of six. We had the best week away(wish we had booked two weeks) Our apartment was great, spacious, clean & had everything we needed! Could have slept another two people. The restaurant was amazing, spoilt for choice with the food, it was delicious & cooked to perfection. The deserts were mouth watering(especially the lemon meringue pie)!! The staff were friendly & very helpful. So very clean also. The pools were beautiful, a little chilly at first getting in but once you’re in there perfectly fine. Pool bar offering drinks. The entertainers were great, offered lots of activities to do throughout the day, ping pong, darts, molkky, beach volleyball, aqua dance. So much fun. Very polite, friendly & funny(shout out to Mauricio & his team) The beach was a 5 min walk away with a few stalls along the way selling floaters, swim wear, flip flops, labubus(which my daughter was ecstatic by) hair braiding available which cost me & my daughter €30. Very reasonable pricing. We had the best time & would definitely go back. Beautiful place.

Returning customer here. Made Inn stays my No 1 choice in Portimao. It is close to both, train and bus stations, all the shops and restaurants. It is always spotless clean and the staff is very helpful. If you are looking for super comfort, this may not be for you. But if you need a clean and safe place from where you can easily move around the Western Algarve without a car, this is your place.

Very clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and you have so many options. Convenient location. Few minutes walk to mini Market, bus stops, and about 6 min walk to train station or 18 min walk to bus station. Bed was comfy. Located in a safe area two streets away from a market area where there's plenty of shopping and town events held.

The hotel is very central (be aware that if you're traveling by car a parking spot might not be available), and has many shops and restaurants in a walking distance. The staff was also super friendly. Good spot for a one or two night stay. Great value for money.

The apartment was fresh looking and clean. The balcony was great. Stayed in Mirachoro III so 30 second walk to the pool, however this was great as it was quieter than having a balcony near the pool and was more private. The staff were exceptional, extremely friendly and polite. Mostly downhill walk into town all with pavements/sidewalk so safe. 30 minute walk downhill to the marina area or 3.65 euros in a Bolt. Would say the location was ideal.

The room was quite large with all the things you need for a holiday stay. I loved the sea view from the balcony and the beach (once you know the route) is a 15 min walk, the beach itself is beautiful. There is a bus that operates twice a day to the beach and to the town centre. There is an Aldi / Lidl 15 mins walk away too. The pool is good and I always had a spot to top up my tan.

Stayed here before & husband been numerous times with golf buddies. We love this hotel due to staff being super helpful & friendly. Only a 15 min walk into centre & we find the hotel itself very quiet & tranquil which is why we return. There are always sunbeds & it is peaceful to relax at pool. This year there is a lack of umbrellas at the pool & 2 of the cabanas have no sun shades. The room hairdryer is no good so bring your own but we are very happy with this hotel & will return. Special mention for Rebecca who has been super helpful. 😀

Our trip to Pestana South Beach was fantastic. It has immediate access to the boardwalk and beach. Most days were spent by one of the 3 pools and it never seemed too busy. We had no problems getting a sun lounger each day and the pools were clean and refreshing. The staff were kind and friendly always, made us feel right at home! We would definitely recommend a stay here.

This stylish hotel is in a beautiful beachside position. The common areas are comfortable with interesting mid-century themed decor. The pool area is nice and green with more than enough seating and loungers. Rooms are great, we had a pool facing balcony. The buffet breakfast is perfect, catering for all tastes, and the staff are friendly and helpful. An enjoyable and attractive place to stay.
