Hotels with Swim-up Rooms in Cascais

Excellent service with super friendly and helpful staff on reception, in the restaurant and when shuttling us to the sister hotel or monte mar restaurant. Rooms comfortable with a large bathroom and an excellent view over the gardens towards the restaurant. We preferred to either use the outside area by the spa (5 euros pppd) or the sister hotel pools rather than the Atlantic pool (personal choice) but this was no problem given the shuttle. None of the pool areas were overly busy when we we there. Location wise it’s spot on - it’s about a 5 euro uber to the centre of Cascais so we did that a few times and the train from there is about 40 mins to central Lisbon.

Not very child friendly, Main Pool was closed on arrival then when It was opened there was no pool bar unless you ordered through their phone. Park was a life saver for children as there’s nothing to do around the area unless you get in a car. Especially when it’s too cold to use the pools. Very hard to keep children busy.

We have just come back from our holiday, having spent 12 wonderful days in the Martinhal Hotel in Cascais. The hotel was superb. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, there was a nice balcony and the bathroom was large. It was great to have such a big shower as well as a bath and two sinks. The staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had a smile on their face! The food was excellent quality; it was a great idea to have the BBQ evenings every Saturday. As a suggestion, it would great to have more such evenings (with a buffet). There was a lot to do and although the hotel is not a walking distance to a beach, the pool areas were perfectly suitable and we didn't feel the need to want to go to the beach. We went to Guincho once (this is the beach that the hotel shuttle can take you to) but realised that this is a surfers' paradise. It was too windy for people like us who are not surfers, so we didn't go there again. The beach in the Cascais town centre was great, not windy and the sea was calm so perfect for young children. The hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere and it is spacious so although it was full, it never felt full. The spa is great but very expensive, especially now that the British pound is so low. The play areas in the hotel was brilliant. Our 7 year old son enjoyed playing on the playground and also playing pool, table tennis, mini-football. All it all, it was great and we will most likely come back again one day.

We stayed at the Onyria Marinha as part of a golf package, and weren't expecting too much as some golf hotels can be 'functional'. This hotel is anything but. From the minute we arrived and were greeted by the lovely reception team, we knew it was going to be special. The bedrooms are spacious, with a huge bathroom and separate shower. Lovely terrace which overlooked the gardens and plenty of wardrobe space. There is a spa with its own pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc and a separate pool area a couple of minutes walk away. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The restaurant was very good. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, and we never had to wait for coffee or tea. We also ate there in the evening. Wonderful varied menu. There is also a comfortable bar area. Every member of staff we met was polite, friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay there. The hotel runs a shuttle to Monte Mar - their restaurant by the coast. Taxi's into Cascais are no more than 10 euros each way. We did walk in one day which was about an hour's stroll along the coast. Definitely recommended, as the path takes you into the town via the marina, with lovely views.

Onyria means dream, and that is quite fitting for our stay. Service was truly outstanding. We checked in late at night, so the hospitality director found us at breakfast to introduce himself. He gave us his contact to share activity/restaurant suggestions and said we could contact him anytime for reservations or anything else. The bedding was comfortable. Balcony was huge. Tub was huge. Breakfast was very nice in a beautiful setting. There were many options, but it was exactly the same every day. By day four, I was wishing they would switch some things out. Outdoor pool wasn't heated, so we opted for the paid indoor pool/saunas. We look forward to going back!

Beautiful property with very comfortable beds! The pool was a great asset as well. Sara was very helpful with recommendations which we found very useful. We were also given tokens to use at the cafe round the corner for breakfast each morning. The food and service, was excellent. Location perfect for wandering into the centre of Sintra and at night you can see the castle lit up from the terrace.

Gorgeous place to stay. Filipe met us with the keys late at night after our flight as delayed, and showed us round the property. Then every morning he or his wife brought us a breakfast in a picnic basket. They left it outside the door and texted us that it was there. I would retrieve it and my wife and I would have breakfast in bed with the delights they brought. It was delicious and also quite romantic! Sintra itself was fascinating. We were only there for a week and realised you'd need to be there longer to do it justice. If you're feeling fit and energetic, the walk up to the castle and the Palacio de Pena is great - but it is a challenge! The Quinta da Regaleira was fascinating - don't miss that.

It was such a unique property! We really enjoyed everything about it. The location was good and it was great - even imperative - to have a dedicated parking spot in Sintra. Breakfast was provided at a nearby cafe, although there was also a coffee maker (a necessity for me) and pods in the full kitchen.

All around it was a very good experience. Wonderful facilities, very helpful hostess!

Unusual property, well remodeled chapel. Very close to old city and restaurants. Hosts were very flexible, kind and communicative.

This hotel retains its old world charm. Pool very accessible, concierge services a fountain of knowledge, helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast staff also outstanding. Reservations also kindly upgraded us when there was an error in the booking. Poolside staff need to take a leaf from their book. I found pool service slow, and inattentive. Drinks at the pool also overpriced. 12 euros for a shared can of coke just taking the biscuit. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking at returning next year. Highly recommended.

This Place is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We did not get any vip access or room upgrade so that was disappointing. The food was great, I would suggest the pool hire some more staff so a drink doesn’t take 30 minutes to get. Some days the pool service was slow and the young ladies did not know what they were doing. We didn’t have lunch 2 days because of service at the pool. The front desk staff and doormen, cleaning and concierge were fantastic! Can’t wait to return.

Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful choice of fresh food. Pool was lovely with no problems finding a sun bed. Pool itself is wonderful and not too full of chlorine. Depth of water and temperature both good. Room very comfortable and spacious. Staff are the 'jewel in the crown' as they all look so smart (including the housekeeping staff) are extremely helpful and courteous. Special mention for the Concierge Jose and the helpful pool staff.

Beautiful hotel, very good service. The room we were staying was a bit small, but it was cozy. I really didn’t like the pillows, they would become very flat once you put your head on. Breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of choice. I really like the waiters white uniform. Tip for hotel: definitely need to upgrade the old chairs. The sponge inside was wear off and the wood inside the chair was kind of pushing to your legs. The outdoor pool was very nice, with a lot of sun beds around. The spa was wonderful with nice big pool and all kind of hydro massage stations. I didn’t like the attitude of one employee at the spa when I asked for the towel. He asked me if I am a guest at the hotel. I told him that I am and he said that I might be also from working personal next door, which I find it was rude. Before entering the SPA you are already being asked which room number, so no need for the towel personnel to double check… We were also told that if we want to have a supper at Four Seasons we have to book in advance, but the concierge didn’t specify that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. When we decided to book the day before we were leaving we were being told that it will be closed. Overall it was very good stay and I definitely recommend it.

I stayed here with my family, early in July 2025. The hotel is unique, it is a very traditional hotel but with every modern amenity and convenience. The staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfasts are very good and plentiful. There are lots of restaurants around the hotel if you want to eat out and others a short uber ride away too. Lisbon is about 30 mins on the train, the station is a five minute walk from the hotel itself. The pool area is very well managed by the staff, we never had an issue finding somewhere to sit. The history of the hotel from the association with Ian Fleming during WW2, various royals and celebrities over the decades is very interesting. Ignore any reviews that say the hotel is in any way outdated or run down, they are complete nonsense. The spa, gym and indoor pool are in a new, separate building next to the main hotel and it is very well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved it all, the reception staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a stunning position overlooking the picturesque beach and the hotel is a beautiful boutique style and absolutely spotless, the food is outstanding in the restaurant in the evening they added a nice touch at the end of every meal, free mini absolutely delicious desserts, we also ate lunch outside most days having a beachside table the food was also just as good as were the staff in the restaurant. We loved the pool area, it was super relaxing and the bar staff by the pool were also very good. The room we stayed in was perfect, Number 101, with a small balcony overlooking the beach, we stayed for 6 nights and still didn't want to leave. We have already booked for 2 weeks next year for the hubbys 50th birthday, which can't come quick enough. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay it was a 20th wedding anniversary we will never forget.

This hotel was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is central and so convenient. The pool was small but perfect for us. The views from the pool area are magnificent. Very clean and comfortable. It’s also walking distance to the train making travel into Lisbon extremely convenient.

Clean, bright, friendly hotel in central Cascais. Nice pool with an overlook of the beach. Pool view well worth the extra expense. Bar/lounge has a beautiful setting. Quick walk to restaurants and shops. Room was comfortable, clean and efficient. Balcony was the highlight.

Lovely traditional hotel in great location overlooking the beach and the sea. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent breakfast choices and lovely terrace for a drink or meal. Very attentive staff. We did not use the pool as it’s was late October but great to sit by the pool and enjoy the view. Cascais is a great choice to stay and visit Lisbon by train. Fabulous to come out of the busy city to such a lovely location and hotel.

The Albatroz is my favorite place on this earth and I have been coming here since the middle 1970’s. It gets better and better and is the only place that retains its 1950’s jet setter ambience along the Estoril/Cascais coast. Rooms and baths are still sumptuous in their light blue and pale yellow colors and this extends to all the public spaces (even the elevator entrances). Get a sea view room in the more modern section. The pool, though not large, is beautifully terraced with great views of the sea. Although there is only one restaurant, there are actually two (the more formal main dining room with food among the best in Europe. There is also the glass enclosed terrace for lighter meals and drinks. It is flanked by an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea where you will begin to get an idea what heaven looks like. I love the bartenders and servers, many of which have been there for years or are newcomers eager to learn their craft. They are all engaging and the veterans are knowledgeable about all things, Portugal. This is one of the last havens of glamour, civility and grace in a world where everyone seems to be in a rush or in some sort of crisis. Somehow, I have mixed feelings to write all this, but everyone needs to experience the world as it once was.

We were so lucky to be upgraded to a beautiful room with a balcony and incredible views of the pounding waves of the Guincho beaches. We arrived from the airport just too late for the dining room but the staff were so kind and welcoming and the chef made us a plate of cheese and nibbles which was perfect. Our first room downstairs was quite dark with a very small window and distant view of the sea and it was a little noisy, being directly on the main reception area, but the beds were comfortable and the service was impeccable and as mentioned we were lucky to move to a great room on the first floor. The bar restaurant has delicious food and there is a good selection of local wines and also cocktails. No pool and the beaches were too rough for swimming but you can pay a fee to use the sheltered pool in the next door hotel - the best of both worlds.

Spectacular setting and a lovely room overlooking the ocean. Staff was very professional and attentive. My only comment would be that they should have a pool as the public beach is very windy and the hotel does not have it's own beach

Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho is truly a magical place—an ideal spot to come/go from for a Lisbon vacation. The coastal views are absolutely breathtaking and bring a sense of peace that’s hard to describe. The hotel itself, housed in a beautifully preserved 1700s fortress, feels like something out of a fairy tale. The property is both historic and charming, with a unique character that makes your stay unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond, with Victor & Alexander standing out for their warmth and attentiveness—always ready to help with any request and doing so with genuine care. Francisco did a great job in the casual dining room from food, wine selections to good conversations while making delicious after dinner cocktails. I highly recommend this incredible hotel for anyone looking to blend history, charm, and exceptional service in a stunning seaside setting. My wife was in Portugal/Spain for 3 weeks and she said our 10 day stay at Fortaleza do Guincho was her favorite experience.

Fortaleza is a beautiful hotel that combines a sense of place with luxury. Our enclosed balcony room looked over guincho beach and we enjoyed watching the kite surfers during the day and waves at night. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom seemed recently updated. Reception and all the staff were genuinely kind and professional. Their delicious breakfast was served in the dining room with more amazing views- it was our favorite breakfast experience the entire trip. The more casual The Spot and their Michelin starred gastronomic restaurant were both outstanding (especially the restaurant) and worth the splurge for us. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel for additional perks like complementary mini bar and welcome port. We visited Sintra from here and it was simple to get to and from via Uber. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again. Also, this place was off the main bustling area. Which we loved. Be prepared to drive or coordinate with Uber or bolt.

Last minute booking via Booking.com and the last room available of the total of only 27 rooms. An amazing hotel. It is, as the name implies, a former fortress and it sits on a promontory with a beach on each side. It has been sympathetically converted, and furnished appropriately for its history and setting. The standard bedrooms are a little small but, constrained as they are by the original architecture, it is hardly noticeable. The public areas, lounges and restaurants, are large and again beautifully furnished. The food is excellent as befits a Michelin Star restaurant. The icing on the cake is, however, the team of staff, they are the real star attraction; every single one of them was friendly, attentive and extremely helpful at all times without being intrusive. If you miss this hotel, when you could have stayed, you will have missed a real jewel. In fact, go out of your way to get there - you will not regret it.

I enjoyed my time at this hotel,. It’s a large resort style hotel overlooking the ocean, just outside of the center of Cascais. It’s a convention style hotel, big grand entrance area, meeting rooms, etc, but also a beachy, resort-y vibe, with both elements coexisting well. Room was large and comfortable, very standard in a good way. The water spa area was fun, with various pools, hammam, sauna, saltwater jacuzzi, and separate pool for children. The only downside of the inside pool area was a deafeningly loud waterfall element at the end of the long pool where one could swim laps, it made the swimming experience kind of unpleasant and added nothing. Was tempted to ask them to turn it off but figured that was a bit of an entitled request. Breakfast was lavish and had just about everything you might want. I did not dine in the restaurant but chose to walk into town each night for dinner, which was easy and fun. Overall, would happily stay again.

This is a truly exceptional and beautiful hotel! The staff here went out of their way to make our stay here very special - thank you. Also staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is really lovely with plenty of variety (including gluten free bread and cereal). A nice touch would have been if the chef was able to prepare a gluten free pancake or an alternative, given the number of pastries available. The indoor pool (6th floor) and outdoor pool (3rd floor) were really enjoyable. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting, which is held every Friday. The hotel is conveniently located to central Cascais - 20 minute walk. Only disappointment (otherwise 5 stars!) was with the 6th floor Water lounge area where the Salt pool and Saunas were both out of action during our stay (Salt pool - 3 weeks I was told) which was a shame as the whole Water lounge area was one of the things that made us book Hotel Miragem Cascais - a luxury hotel with a price to match.

We had an AMAZING stay at the Miragem! The staff were all extremely attentive, the facilities are top-notch, and it's amazing for families for young children, but still tranquil for others. Firstly, the location is amazing! Just a short walk from all the action, but removed enough such that it's a peaceful setting. The staff are all attentive and were super friendly to my 2.5-year old. There is a kids-room with a play-gym, stuffies, blocks, etc. that my son loved! It also was never too crowded. There's also a "family pool area that is indoors, has a sunroof, and has warmer water than the outside pool. This also means that the other pools were tranquil enough for those traveling without children. The rooms aren't the most modern, but in amazing shape and super functional. Also the view is breathtaking and our balcony was great for morning coffee. The gym was Equinox-level in terms of offering and quality and the on-site dining options were plentiful and delicious. One thing to note: Reserve your own airport transfers or just book through Uber (cheapest option) as the drivers through the hotel are overpriced ($30 vs $75-$130). We really couldn't ask for a better stay... thanks so much Cascais Miragem!

We were booked in The Miragem as our original hotel had overbooked our 3 rooms, with 2 months notice they cancelled our booking and put us in The Miragem. We absolutely lucked out with this. We had stayed in the other hotel twice before and were disappointed to be cancelled, but The Miragem took our booking and it is absolutely our new hotel in Cascais. The hotel is spacious and welcoming from reception through to room service, all staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned twice a day, everything you need in your room is constantly maintained. The hotel pool is larger than it looks in the pictures, and with ample beds and a few cabanas. There is also an amazing indoor pool and spa, which we used twice. Two of our guests had full body massages which they loved. There is more than enough choice of food and drinks for breakfast, and omelettes are made to order, which we did on most days. As there are two pools it never seemed busy or crowded, there is plenty to occupy you at the hotel, but if you want to leave there is a very short walk through a tunnel to the beach and the bars. Would highly recommend The Hotel Miragem.

Loved the breakfast,the buffet was fantastic. Loved sitting by the pool,we enjoyed long breakfasts. Would like to commend Jose,the restaurant manager.he was very helpful and kind. Loved the outdoor pool area,the service was great. The indoor pools were an amazing way to relax at the end of the day. I enjoyed the interior design of the miragem,the beautiful art work ,furnishings and floral arrangements.The colours were very attractive to the eye and add a personalised feeling to the hotel. The staff at the front desk were always di helpful.Catarina is a gem. We enjoyed the private balcony with views to the sea. I could feel that this is a family owned hotel where no attention to detail is spared and staff feel nurtured.

When we arrived in late May, we could tell we were in for a special experience. We had a short wait for our room for an early arrival, and Mariana Pinto of Guest Relations brought us tea and cappuccino in the lobby. Our spacious seascape room with ocean view contained the largest bed we had ever seen, essentially the size of two queen beds pushed together. Hotel staff were invariably friendly and responsive to our every request. The large pool gave a great respite to the hot weather we encountered. Pool service included magazines, fruit, and individual cold water boxes. The superb breakfast buffet had extensive offerings both hot and cold, including fresh pastéis de nata. This was the most extensive and elegant breakfast buffet we had encountered during our numerous European travels. The Real Spa Therapy encompassed 1000 square meters and included massage and treatment rooms, sauna, hammam, heated indoor pool, and a thermal thalassotherapy circuit with multiple stations. A lovely feature is that with purchase of a treatment or massage, one can book an hour in the thalassotherapy pool at no extra charge. The hotel’s location is ultra-convenient. We often ambled to the Cascais Marina, a collection of restaurants and upscale stores a short walk away. The historic center of Cascais featured beaches, parks, shopping, dining, and ginja bars. Many nearby sights were easily walkable including the Boca do Inferno. We would welcome the opportunity to stay here again.

We are just back from a lovely relaxing week in the beautiful city of cascais. This hotel is really top quality. From the moment we arrived, our bags were taken to our room and a big welcome provided by staff. The room had both sea and pool view and was most comfortable and large. Cleaned in the morning and again in the evening for turn down. Spotless throughout the hotel. Whilst the pool, restaurants and bar are all perfect, it is really the staff that made this stay memorable. From the reception staff, Pedro at front of house ( who was extremely helpful ) to the restaurant and bar staff, everyone was most kind and helpful and could not do enough for you. The Manager at this hotel should be really proud of his team. Credit where it is due and it is certainly due here. They are superb. As our driver pulled up for our departure, we were helped with our luggage by the friendly porters and a little tray of water to send us on our way. This was a memorable and wonderful stay and one we hope to repeat in the very near future. My thanks to all the team at this impressive hotel and for an experience to remember !

We primarily were looking for a great balcony view of the ocean and this place has the best! The pool was beautiful and the staff makes every moment feel like the kind of vacation you need. For some reason, we found the bathroom towels better than most hotels. You canNOT buy Euros or late-night snacks at the front desk. Why? The area is walking to the nearby Marina and into Cascais which is filled with restaurants and 2 small beaches. The pool is beautiful and made up for the lack of beaches across from the hotel. Nearby is Boca do Inferno (tourist attraction with nice snack bar and restaurant). To get into Lisbon centro, you'll need the train (about a 20 minute walk).

Staff at reception were great and super-helpful. They gave us an upgrade upon arrival and lots of help with restaurant bookings etc. The valets were also fantastic. The only area that needs improving is the pool staff; they bring drinks, but are not helpful with pool towels, water and so forth. There were dirty towels and used glasses left everywhere. Everything else was fantastic: location, view, quality of bedding and accommodation, parking and the maintenance; there’s even a peacock who canes daily from the nearby park for a stroll: so cute!

Hotel was incredible. The staff was super friendly. The hotel was clean. Great restaurant and pool. The pool does get busy so just keep that in mind but the location was perfect. Across the street from the water and downtown Cascais. It was safe and clean everywhere we walked to. I just wish we stayed longer!

The room was really sizeable, clean and comfortable; the bathroom and kitchen were also more than sufficient for our requirements, The balcony was perfect for an aperitif in the evening, and the cafe close by was excellent for breakfast and snacks, However, the best thing about Villa Bicuda was the swimming pool - you could always guarantee a sun lounger and shade, it never got too busy and the pool was wonderful for a dip when the sun got too strong.

A family wedding in Cascais & we wanted to stay close to the wedding venue yet be reasonably close to the coast. The villa we stayed in was excellent, everything you could want from a top quality hotel but with attraction of a fully equipped kitchen. 2 large bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, large lounge & direct access to a marvellous pool area. Well-appointed facilities on the site as well, restaurant serves food quality food at a reasonable rate & the coffee shop/bakery is first rate. The custard tarts are just heavenly. Well-appointed shop for anything you might need. The resort staff couldn't be more helpful & the resort itself is very quiet, peaceful & picturesque. We used Uber to get around because there were 4 adults & an infant in our party, but there are bus stops outside the resort.

This resort was exactly as described. Full, private units that include bedroom, living room, private outdoor space, kitchen, bathroom and eating area. Plenty of storage and lots of space. We didn't end up needing it but there was free parking available with the unit. Temperatures were cool when we visited, but the pool looked like it would be very inviting on a hot summer day. Very quaint resort, quiet and clean. Pedro at the front desk was awesome and helped get us sorted when we arrived at the resort before check-in. Seamless at storing our bags and had a nice little cafe with delicious pastries which we had while we waited. Thank you for the great stay! I highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Pedro at the front desk was very helpful, he got us all sorted when we arrived before check-in. There is a nice little coffee/breakfast cafe right beside the lobby that is quick, convenient and reasonably priced. There is also a restaurant and grocery store nearby along with other stores. The unit itself was perfect for our stay. It was large in size, had a kitchen, bathroom, bed, couch, tv and dining table. The unit was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The resort offers free parking with the unit. It was a bit cooler when we visited but the pool looked like it would be very inviting on a hot summer day.

One of the nicest places I have stayed the vila was so comfortable and spacious and loved the decor. The vila was well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen utensils fridge freezer, dish washer, cooker. The pool area is great my daughter just loved it! Very well maintained. There is a wonderful coffee shop on site with a bakery serving fresh bread and pastery! Overall a great facility and very safe with 24hr security on the man entrance I most certainly will be back. The main area of cascauis is a 40 min walk but uber and bolt are around 4-5 euro

LOVED the spa. Was great that it was included with our stay without extra fees for steam room, sauna, and pool access. Room service was absolutely delicious too. Will stay there again next time!

I am so sad to have left! This was a 5 star experience from check-in to check-out. The staff were phenomenal and super friendly with amazing recommendations, the food was great, pool and rooftop views were spectacular. Easy walking distance to the beach but it is a bit further from the center of Cascais. We typically walked one way and Ubered back as Uber were very easy to find. Only downside is there seemed to be many events at the pool so no pool or dinner service those afternoons. Some days I planned to be at the pool this was not possible given the events taking place.

We spent 2 glorious days here at the end of our Portugal trip and absolutely loved it. Evolution is unlike any hotel I’ve stayed in before. It has many cool modern conveniences. Instead of a mini bar there’s a fridge in the lobby with a varied selection of beers, sodas, wine and premade cocktails. The rooms which are extremely ergonomically designed have an almost space age feel to them. We loved lounging on the daybed on our patio overlooking the ocean. The rooftop restaurant was fabulous. Its bar, which has an amazing cocktail list, services the adjacent pool, which had a string of ocean facing loungers and comfy pool floaters. We both had blissful treatments in the spa and enjoyed using the wonderful amenities. I was raving about the hotel to a friend who has already booked it for later in the summer!

The hotel is super great: modern and beautiful, comfortable room, good facilities, nice people. Breakfast was good, rooftop bar and rooftop pool with a nice view. Never had to wait for an elevator for more than 10 seconds - how is it even possible?:) But the things I liked the most was the shower in the room (it was so perfect!) and the indoor pool, steamroom and sauna. The sauna has glass wall so you can see the ocean being in there as well. All in all, when will be back to Portugal will choose Evolution hotel again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful surroundings with all details taken care of, from decor to sound to scent. Felt like a luxury experience - which was a good thing at the price! The rooftop pool was amazing and the spa pool and facilitates were gorgeous. The cocktail bar downstairs was innovative with a great barman who loves his job and gave us a mini-masterclass on his cocktails. Super-comfortable beds.

Designed beautifully, pool and relaxation area is exquisite, location superb. Perfectly relaxing. Lovely breakfast.

The Sintra Boutique Hotel is located in the very heart of the historic center of Sintra. The Sintra Palace is almost directly across from the hotel, and the Quinta da Regaleira is a short walking distance as well (10 minute walk). The hotel room was fine and clean. The staff at the reception area was very friendly and informative - providing maps and other info on Sintra. The hotel has a parking area, but is not located at their property. It is located on or next to their sister hotel (Bliss Hotel). After you drop of your luggage at the Sintra Boutique Hotel, it takes about 25 minutes to drive to the parking area - which is a safe one. Luckily, it only takes a 5 minute walk up to the hotel from the parking area. (I would avoid driving in Sintra. If you are staying in Lisbon, take the train from the Rossio Station to Sintra.) Please know that there are many shops and several restaurants near the hotel. As most folks come to Sintra on a tour, this overly busy town is very quite in the evening and early mornings. The hotel has a restaurant as well, and the breakfast was wonderful. Whenever I return to Sintra, I will be returning to this hotel - but I will certainly not drive there. By the way, as Sintra is now overrun by tourism (e.g., it appears to be the DisneyWorld of Portugal), so you MUST get your tickets to the Palaces on-line way before you go, This includes the Sintra Palace, the Pena Palace and the Quinta da Regaleira. Tickets are date/ timed stamped entrances.

This was my first stay at Sintra Boutique Hotel, my first visit to Sintra, Portugal. A smaller hotel than I am used to, but of course that is implied in the name - it is situated in the historical part of Sintra, where I guess land is at a premium. Maybe smaller than I have been to, but no less good quality. On arrival the staff were very helpful and polite, I had accidentally left my phone back at home in England and would need to buy one for this visit. No problem, they showed me on a map where I could go, even naming the shops I would need - perfect! Even though a slightly smaller room than I was used to, it had everything I needed - Wi-Fi, phone , Tv, desk, fridge, ensuite shower room, coffee machine, bottled water. Everything was clean, the bed very comfortable and my room had an interesting view from the front of the building. This maybe classed as a boutique hotel but, has many socializing areas, certainly on the ground and first floors. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and staff helpful. I do not really wish to say anything negative about this hotel, but I guess as a heads up - the only thing is that this hotel did not have was an evening service in their restaurant. And something which seems particular to Sintra, which I had not known before, the kitchens in the restaurants in the area close at 9.30pm. But I repeat, a good hotel and the staff were friendly and very helpful at all times !

We selected this property for a one-night stay based upon Trip Advisor reviews and it’s location. We’re glad we did—our stay was terrific, and we won’t look any further on our next trip to Sintra. While rated 4 stars in the European system, this is at the high end for that level. What we liked: - Great staff. We arrived at about 9 AM and left our bags with the hotel. We received a warm welcome and excellent tips for local sightseeing. We found the evening staff just as friendly and helpful; they even tracked down a bottle of wine from the (closed) restaurant for us. Breakfast staff was also very friendly. All spoke English. - The rooms are extremely nice and modern. Super clean, excellent bathrooms, mini-fridge in the room. - Ideal location. The hotel is right at the edge of the old town that bus loads of people come to visit. Nothing in old town is more than 4-5 blocks away. Quintra da Regaleira and Castelo dos Mouros both are within walking distance. Pena Palace is a short Uber ride away. - Staying in Sintra. We loved the early morning and after 7 in old Sinta. The crowds are gone and the town is so much more enjoyable and quiet. This is a superior experience to day tripping from Lisbon. - Breakfast was excellent. Mostly European, with some nods to Americans. Everything was very fresh. This place is great. You won’t be disappointed.

Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the centre of the old town. We drove to Sintra and took up the private car park offer that is just a short walk away. Not only were our cars secure, on departure day the staff will collect the car and park it near by the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially Ella on the day of check in who gave us lots of information and great recommendations for eating out and extra things to do. Take her up in it. The rooms were clean, well equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules, still and sparkling water and a free mini bar, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the little reading room where you find a Nespresso coffee machine with a good selection of capsules and even some mini pastries, a lovely touch.

The hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the historical section of Sintra, mainly because you had a maneuver along very narrow sidewalks or into the street which was continually busy with traffic (town and huge tourists buses, taxies, tuktuks, cars, and other vehicles). Just be very careful. The majority of drivers are very respectful, especially the bus drivers who have to constantly maneuver tight turns and around no end of medival moorish walls. Koodos to them! Get on buses 434 or 435 to take you to all the historical locations. Cost $13.50 per adult (in June 2025) where you can hop on and off for a 24 hour period. The bus stop is just up to the left of the hotel entrance. The hotel itself is very old as is most of the properties in Sintra. The rooms are large, there's an assortment of rooms to relax in, a bar with snacks, a satisfying breakfast which was included, a large swimming pool in a absolutely beautiful garden that we loved relaxing in after the craziness of the historical section and bus rides to the moorish castle, etc. If you want absolute peace away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas stay here! The staff are always around, and ready to help as needed.

This was the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in for a long time. The room was large and comfortably furnished in an old style with glorious views over the garden and up to the Moorish castle. The surroundings are wooded and at night I could hear the owls hooting. The very lovely swimming pool in the garden was a little cold but still good for a refreshing swim in late October. I enjoyed strolling around the large garden too. The breakfast was good and all the staff polite and kind. I felt very well looked after, especially given that many other hotels I stayed in have gone over to automated check in so you hardly seem to see a person on the desk.

Such a fantastically charming hotel. Everything about our stay was just perfect. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms we had were comfortable and clean with lovely views . Although no air con this wasn’t any problem as the rooms stay cool throughout the day. The grounds and the pool are so beautiful and with views of the castle. We really didn’t want to leave this place. If you do stay we highly recommend the local Tira Tapas restaurant 5 minute walk away. One of the most amazing meals we had during our holiday and the owner was so welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious!!! This place is a little gem. Such value for money.

This hotel is full of character inside and outside. The most beautiful gardens of any hotel I have stayed. The big pool combined with incredible gardens and the fact that there is not too many people let's you to fully relax. The rooms and lounges for relaxing is also decorated very beautifully. A truly unique experience and atmosphere that matches Sintra vibe. The hotel also went an extra mile to accommodate us in a room with gardens views since me and my wife were celebrating our wedding anniversary. If available ask for room 24. Can not wait to come back!

Exceptional service, very helpful receptionist and friendly breakfast manager, all of whom had a good sense of humour and a wish to accommodate us beyond the expected minimum. We were moved from the first floor to the sixth just because we said how much nicer the view would be from there. They were also really enthusiastic to help us make choices about where to watch a particular movie (Mi:8), and which beaches to visit based on restaurant choices and costs. There was some funny banter at check-in making a good experience even better. However, it being a 4-star hotel, we were surprised there was no water kettle or coffee machine in the room, and you must pay for the second bottled water if you have already gulped the first one. So, for a couple staying overnight, avoid getting too thirsty, or just drink Lisbon’s clean tap water, that we normally do anyway, and reduce on plastic waste. One more odd thing was that the gym was in the basement level and and didn't lure to explore it. Also, I incorrectly assumed there would be a pool, so now I need to make it up to my wife some other way… Yet he hotel is in an amazing location in the Oeiras business area and our emphasis is on all the nice aspects about it. We would certainly go back.

This is a very nice hotel on a business park, just outside Cascais. This would be a perfect location for anyone doing business with a company on the adjacent business park. There's not very much to do within walking distance of the hotel and if you want to get into Cascais, you really need to get a taxi. I used an UBER which came quickly and cost very little. My favourite thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was SO friendly and helpful. There was a lady working in the restaurant who somehow memorised my room number from when I ordered lunch on the first day and then greeted me with my room number when I went for breakfast on the two subsequent days! She was really lovely and made me feel like a genuinely valued guest. A lot of significantly more expensive hotels in Europe could learn much from how customers get treated here. Next time I am in Cascais, I will absolutely stay here again.

Booked this hotel for 1 night when visiting Lisbon. Expecting a standard stay outside of the city with access the following day. To start, the hotel is less than a 30 minute drive from the city. On arrival the welcome was warm, pleasant and efficient. The room was fantastic. A family room split into 2 with huge amounts of room and very comfortable beds. Service at the bar was great and prices very reasonable. Breakfast again was very good, just what we needed and again, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was free under the hotel. Over the years I've been lucky to stay at some very nice well known hotel chains but this hotel really did push them off in terms of quality and staff service Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good base outside of Lisbon. A very good stay.

The stuff at the reception particularly the shuttle service drivers were excellent in every respect. If you hire a car, then location is not an issue with regard to travelling to the nearby beaches and elsewhere. Breakfast was very good with regard to varieties, quality and freshness. The waiters / waitress at breakfast and in the bar were all very helpful. Travelling at weekends could be of a bit of difficulties as only some buses are running but weekdays the free shuttle service to the local train station is excellent. You can explore all the nearby beaches and go to Lisbon by train which takes about 25 mins or less. The nearest beach is just one stop from Oeiras, the nearest station to the hotel.

We arrived in Sintra by train from Lisbon and walked to the hotel (down a steep staircase). It was too early to check in so the hotel staff kept our luggage while we took an uber to Pena Palace and then walked to the Moorish Castle and back to town. We ate lunch at Bacalhau na Vila (delicious) and then checked in to the hotel. The room was simple and clean with a lovely view out the back with french doors (Room #14- very good location within the hotel). Nice modern bathroom with toiletries and hair dryer (no wash cloths which is typical in Portugal). We visited Quinta Da Regaleira after lunch- the hotel staff was great but did tell us it was a flat walk -beware - there are no flat walks in this town!! (: We had dinner reservations across the street at Incomum Luis Santos and the food & service was excellent. In the morning, a complete breakfast is served downstairs and there is a porch and patio area. It was very nice. Unfortunately, the staff have to make each cup of coffee and we drink a lot so felt bad to keep asking! The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful. Amazing value.

We had a wonderful time visiting Sintra recently and staying at the Sintra Bliss Hotel. The location was very convenient for the train station and for walking to the National Palace and Historic Centre. The front desk staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and pleasant. They gave us many good recommendations of places to eat and sites to visit and how to get to them. Rafaela was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room had a door leading to a balcony and the court yard. It was nice being able to walk outside from the room. The breakfast had many delicious options and was very extensive. It was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend visiting the beautiful town of Sintra and staying at the Sintra Bliss House.

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful clerk who made our registration easy and quick. She offered asssitance in navigating the neighborhood to find a great restaurant as well as a place for lighter food and drinks to end the night. Our room was wonderful and accomodated all of our needs. Our morning started with a great breakfast and very attentive waitstaff. Later, while we explored the area, our bags were safely stored for us, and upon return to retrieve them the day and evening staff members were polite, and engaging as they bid us farewell to continue our journey. If you have the opportunity to stay at Sintra Hotel Bliss, do it and enjoy it!

This is a small hotel one block from the metro. We booked 2 nights, 2 rooms. Desk personnel was very helpful, he recommended an excellent, inexpensive restaurant within walking distance. Breakfast was offered with our room, not many choices since most everything was gone, even though there was over an hour left to breakfast service. We had to go to kitchen area to ask for coffee. There were 2 girls working the kitchen, but they seemed more interested in chatting with each other than doing their job. Rooms were very quiet, very comfortable and very clean.

This little hotel was beautiful - scenery from our room on the second floor was beautiful, room clean with nice furnishings, and the staff were super helpful. We arrived a little early for check in and when we came back they had taken our cases to our rooms already! Also very helpful in sorting us taxis for a wedding, and any questions we had they were happy to help. Loved this place, will recommend to anyone I know staying in Sintra. It’s also just a few minutes walk from the train station so very convenient.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel. From our arrival to our departure, nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff working in this hotel. It was clear that the focus in this hotel is to ensure its guests enjoy their stay and every effort is made by them to achieve this aim. We had a late arrival and were still able to get something to eat and drink at the bar (bar food operates until 1am) which was very much appreciated. We had a family room which had a small balcony and a huge double bed and bunk beds for the children, very comfortable and adequately sized. Fab rainfall shower in the bathroom with Molton Browne products. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided (as required) daily. Very good selection of TV channels including a good number of English speaking channels. We enjoyed a few meals in the bar and in the restaurant and the food was delicious, particularly the food on the Mexican themed night. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The pool area is very relaxing and pool towels were provided for use during our stay. The gardens and golf course are simply beautiful and sitting by the pool was an oasis of calm and beauty. I would particularly like to mention Catarina, Michelli and Vasco at reception who were incredibly helpful to us when we required their help during our stay.

I only stayed one night at Onyria Quinta da Marinha hotel but wish I had stayed longer. It is a beautiful resort with a lovely pool and golf course area. The staff were very welcoming and were careful with Covid protocols. The room was clean, spacious, with a large bed, and the air conditioning worked well. There is an infinity pool which looks out onto the golf course. The pool is very nice but is not huge. The bar food was good but expensive (I didn't eat in the restaurant itself). Despite that, I thought this hotel was overall very good value. You can pay to park in the underground car park with the resort fee (only 2 Euros a day) or there is free parking on the street outside. If I wanted an escape from Lisbon for a few nights, I think this hotel is ideal. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location, spacious rooms, the pool area is comfortable (but pool is not heated). The view on the golf course behind the pool is stunning. Breakfast offering is quite good.

What an amazing experience at the Onyria Hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely staff at the door and reception and then shown to our room which was extremely tranquil. We had a great balcony overlooking the beautiful pool setting and golf course. Which lucky for us we got to play on later that day. 18 holes with a great landscape. Fantastic challenges along the way. Later we sat by the inviting pool which helped with the heat to cool ourselves down and relax. Food was outstanding and I cannot recommend this hotel enough for business or pleasure. You won’t be disappointed.

Veey comfortable, friendly and welcoming. Hotell was superbly clean and well maintained. Pool area was busy but never felt crowded. Food options were great and tastt. The staff were attentive and very helpful but never overly fussy. We enjoyed, both the outdoor and indoor pools. The golf course was also in fantastic condition despite what other reviews have said and well worth a round if you play golf. I play a lot of gokf in scotlabd and the greens were easily as good as premium courses ive played this year. Wish i couldve played it more. We will definitely stay again and for longer.

The hotel is located near the train station of Sintra and was easy to find. For the check-in it is easiest to park in front of the hotel and get a parking ticket for an hour (0,8€ for 1h). Free parking lot within walking distance that you get directions to after check-in. Rui is the most wonderful host! He is very caring and gives lots of good and honest advice! When the palaces and parks were closed due to a workers’ strike, he already let us know in the morning that there is talk of a strike and kept us updated throughout breakfast! He also recommends good places to visit and eat inside and outside of Sintra! Since we had to reschedule our visits to the palaces and parks for the next day, we were able to leave our luggage and car at the hotel even after check-out! The room was very comfortable, clean, well-cared for with a new shower and lovely views of the surrounding area. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked very well, too! The hotel is very quiet and breakfast had a good selection of bread/toast, coffees/hot chocolate, cereals, fruits, juices, warm breakfast, etc! We really enjoyed our stay and think it was a really good value for money there. We can recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

A warm welcome by Rui and help with our bags created an immediate good impression and this high level of service was repeated throughout our stay. The staff certainly know how to run an efficient and comfortable boutique hotel. The provided breakfasts were a great way to start the day and prepare us for lots of sightseeing and walking. The bed was quite comfortable and there was little disturbance from outside traffic. This establishment is within walking distance of the National Palace and plenty of bars, shops , cafes and restaurants. Other areas for sightseeing are just a further 10 to 15 minutes walk further on although there are plenty of transport options also available. Hotel Nova Sintra is just a 10 minute walk either the train station which also makes this location convenient for day trips to Cascais or Lisbon. I can see that the terrace would be put to good use in the warmer months of the year but unfortunately the weather was a little unsettled during our stay. This is our second visit to Sintra. Would we visit again? Definitely - there is still a number of sights and day trips to keep our interest. Where would we stay? The Hotel Nova Sintra again of course. After all we travel for enjoyment and appreciate good service when we experience it.

My sister and I spent two nights at the Hotel Nova Sintra and had a great experience. The hotel is family-owned and located about 1/2 mile from the historic center, an easy walk and away from the tourist throngs in the historic center. The room was very clean and comfortable and there is a very nice rooftop plaza out front. Breakfast offered hot (scrambled) eggs, sausage, and potatoes. There was fresh fruit and sliced tomatoes, pastries, and a machine that made a nice cappuccino (among other coffee drinks). The service was great. The hotel arranged a car for us from the Lisbon airport. They referred us to two very good local restaurants for dinner and even made reservations for us. The morning we went to the Pena Palace it was pouring rain. The hotel lent us an umbrella and called us a taxi that took us to the palace entrance so that we avoided some of the rain. They also told us the route to take to walk down from the Moorish castle to the city. The proprietor and his son were very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend Hotel Nova Sintra.

From start to finish this was truly a splendid stay. The hotel is very close to the train station. Walkable for sure although i did not use it. We booked 3 rooms and one was with a terrace. The terrace did not offer a view but was a great place to hang out which we did often. Rooms are clean and the breakfast makes this place seem so homely. Add to that Rui the owner and it is a truly winning combination. He gives you all guidance on what to see and how to get there. There are lots of small restaurants close by and some of them are open till late. There is parking very close to the property but I don't think it is guaranteed and would not want to put Rui on the spot. Reach out to him directly because he is so friendly and being a local he is privy to nuances of the area that only a local can give. I would stay here over Lisbon and in this hotel without a doubt.
