Property is nice and waterfront to the river. Pool swim up rooms very nice and the breakfast buffet was great. Also very close to the blue temple and has bikes you can use to visit the site or ride around town.

Within just a 5-minute walk, we reached one of Chiang Rai's main tourist attractions, the stunning Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten). Another highlight is the proximity to the renowned local eatery, Chivit Thamma Da Coffee House, Bistro & Bar. Despite these nearby dining options, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's breakfast buffet, which featured a diverse selection of high-quality choices with northern Thai favours. Recommend

The staff is so kind and lovely, and the rooms were so clean. the area around the hotel is not the best but the good thing is that you are 5 minutes walking to the blue temple, you can take the bikes provided in the hotel to go around the area.

Great place, 5 min walking distance from blue temple and one of the best restaurants Chavit tamma Da. The hospitality is awesome, the staff help you with recommendations, scooter rent and anything you ask.

I have booked a pool access room; the room is clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and breakfast is good with many varieties of foods. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Shopping mall BIG C is just around the corner and Central Plaza is within walking distance. Hotel is near to the main road easy to access. Hotel provides scheduled free shuttle to the Night Bazaar. I have a wonderful and enjoyable stayed in this hotel. Thank so much to the staff. Keep it’s UP.....

The spa is a little bit more pricey than if you went into town but it is super convenient and great customer service. I had a great massage, and was well worth the money. Our room was very spacious and clean, and the pool was never too busy, we went to the pool twice during our stay and the two of us were the only two there for the whole time. We almost got ripped off by a tuk tuk driver and staff were there to have our backs and advise us on the best routes. Very friendly and professional staff.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived at the hotel and received excellent service by all the staff. Room was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast had mostly asian food like rice and curry dishes. You could get eggs to order and cold cereals and toast. Also fruits. The only disappointing thing was the pool which had mildew growing between the tiles in the bottom of the pool. I would recommend this hotel

I will say that the hotel had very good rooms, nice gym/pool sand very good restaurant. I normally stay in different part of Krabi, but was quite satisfied with this location due to proximity of beach walkway and some of the finest restaurants in Krabi. This Centara is also a good value and competitively priced. I liked the gym schedule which allowed us to work out prior to breakfast. The breakfast was exceptional. The beds were also very nice, and overall a very romantic and relaxing stay for 9 days.

Grand Vista is away from downtown on a busy road, although the traffic noise wasn’t apparent in our room or at the pool. There’s a large modern mall across the highway, accessed by a foot bridge, with food courts, restaurants, grocery store and shops. The old city is a short Grab ride away. Our room was large, clean and serviced daily. A very enjoyable staff.

The hotel is very elegant and clean. We got a room with pool access and it was very nice ! Breakfast buffet was amazing with a lot of variety of foods.

Baan Jaru is the ideal combination of everything needed for a hotel. It is convenient and close to downtown and the markets, and it is quiet enough as the rooms have double pane glass and are in the back of the property. One of the biggest pluses is that they offer a FREE breakfast which is delicious and substantial. I don't know of any other property on Booking.com that gives a free breakfast. But the biggest reason to stay at Baan Jaru is it is a family-run business and the son, Toddy, studied in the UK for many years so he speaks fluent English, is very knowledgeable about the local areas and tourist spots in Chiang Rai, and knows what true guest services should be like. He is the main reason that they are so successful. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't change their room prices in the off or on-season because they have a high-quality product/service. I very highly recommend staying at the Baan Jaru if you visit Chiang Rai. I was 110% satisfied with my stay at Baan Jaru!

We were staying for three days while visiting Chiang Rai. Our host was as super friendly and spoke perfect english (which is not that common here in Thailand). We got a lot of good and honest tips from him without them having an ulterior motive. Just for him we would probably come back as he also saved our day by getting us a short term transport to Chiang Mai. The breakfast options are few but everything that was there tasted good (Mostly fruit, toast and eggs). The rooms were clean, tidy and just what we expected. It’s also in walking distance to almost everything in the city center and therefore ideal for tourists. If we ever come back to Chiang Rai we would stay here again.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable with air con, small fridge and a couple of free water bottles. They let us leave the luggage after the check out to comfortably visit the city. Our room had a small balcony with a little space to hang clothes outside. The location is good, in 5/10 minutes you can reach the bus station, night bazaar and clock tower. The staff kindly suggest you places to visit on a map and we also booked and enjoyed a day tour advertised by them (you can also easily find other organized tours all around the town). The breakfast is good, but with little choice according to our standards.

We loved it here. Amazing quiet location, yet only a few minutes walk from restaurants and coffee shops (10 minutes walk from the bus station). The room was spacious and the family noticeably took pride in ensuring the property and grounds were clean and well maintained. The breakfast and coffee were excellent. The host also took time to go through an itinerary for our time in Chiang Rai when we arrived which was greatly appreciated. (We had an issue with the air con when we arrived but it was quickly rectified, ensuring a very comfortable stay). Would highly recommend staying here.

My room was very nice. It was quiet, clean, modern, and comfortable. I slept well. The owner, Toddy, was especially nice and helpful. My visit was just after the floods in the area and I know Toddy had extensive damage to his home, but he was still very enthusiastic, pleasant, and caring about the guests at his hotel. He provided a lot of info about the tourist sights and transportation options. Breakfast was also delicious and he has espresso machines and quality coffee. I enjoyed my stay.

Fabulous luxury resort, a little away from main city and close to the river. The view from the hotel is awesome. As you would expect from Marriot Bonvoy hotels, service, amenities, ambience are all top class. The property is huge and have lot of spots to take nice photos. The swimming pool is big and one section overlooks the river. The view of sunset from pool is amazing. The water is not cold so even when it was drizzling lightly we enjoyed at pool. The room is very spacious and they provided a complimentary extra bed for our son which is much appreciated. Balcony is spacious and has a good view of the property. The bathroom is spacious and has a bathtub. Bathroom door doesn't have a lock, not sure why it's done that way. Room has all amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The property is huge so its good walk to reception area or pool. Also easy to get lost as it's all similar looking. Overall it's a fantastic property to chill and have a quiet time.

LOCATION: the grounds are beautiful and pleasant to walk around. During our stay, an engagement party and 2 weddings were happening. It was wonderful to by a bystander, and the hotel handled every guest's needs just fine. (We chanced to meet one bride and groom, who invited us to their reception!) ROOM: Our first room was noisy due to facing pool. The offered a smaller room away from the pool. Since I had prepaid, they were unable to refund the difference. However, they gave us a THB 2,000 (USD $57) credit to use in the dining room. The new room was away from the noise of the pool, still quite large, and also more private, so we felt the solution was fair. The reservations clerks PUY and NINK were very gracious and always remembered our names! The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were roomy and in good repair. Bedside reading lights were good. Balcony furniture was comfortable. DINING: Breakfast was awesome, with cuisine for every taste. Eggs cooked to order available. Dinner was excellent, but lunch lacked the same choices and was a disappointment. Wi-Fi was fine. Since we made our reservation, Le Meridien has joined Marriott Bonvoy, so my experience might have been impacted by that change. I'd only stayed at a Marriott once before. This experience sold me on trying them again.

Very very friendly personal everywhere in the hotel - breakfast, reception, pool, cleaning ladies, gate. There was nobody who was unfriendly/not smiling/not greeting. We really liked the cleaning personal - each time when we went for breakfast, they noticed the sign at the door almost immediately and when we returned from the breakfast, it was already cleaned and we have to say they were cleaning really properly, we also saw how detailed they were cleaning the balcony. At the breakfast was a big choice of foods, we loved the fresh juice station, the eggs were delicious, the breakfast was not always the same and we also liked the thai ice creams for the breakfast! It was also possible to take a takeaway drink from the breakfast - iced tea, coffee... We loved the pools, they had beautiful views, the temperature of water was very pleasant - not too cold, and we loved the opening hours - the pool was open till 20:00, but also a little bit later nobody kicked us out - it was great, in a day we could do a program and then in the evening we could take a refreshing swim. The hotel has also a parking garage - very practical. The room was spacious, modern, clean with a beautiful view.

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay at this attractively designed and well maintained property, albeit a little dated, on the banks of the river. Room was spacious with a covered balcony, overlooking the hotel grounds, pool and river, from which to view the sunset. Pool area was particularly impressive with a good sized pool, an adequate number of sun loungers and attentive staff. Whilst a great place to relax at all times of the day it was a particularly enjoyable spot to enjoy sun downers during the evening happy hour. Breakfast options were extensive incorporating both Asian and international offerings and could be eaten either inside or on the terrace. Dinner options included a good Italian restaurant on site, with a signature Caesar salad skillfully prepared at table, and a number of other restaurants within walking distance. Recommended.

The location and grounds around the giant rain trees. The size, style and cleanliness of the room, the breakfast and most of all the amazing staff. The lady that checked us in and took us to our room, the front desk and bell staff, the restaurant staff were all top notch. Although Marriott owns the hotel you get Asian style friendliness and service vs. the "service" you get from Marriott in the US. The the hotel was obviously designed and built before Marriott got involved. The front desk staff set us up with some great drivers/guides that drove all around the amazing region. Although it is a quiet river setting you are only minutes from town via TukTuk or private car. The fare to the airport about $2.50 and although the airport is close, flight noise was not an issue. Even at resort prices which probably double the in town prices food and drink were delicious and still much less than what you would pay for average food in the US. We stayed a few extra days and were upgraded from the normal mega room to the super mega room. The contemporary style is out of Architectural Digest and unlike some even 5 star room there were no rough edges or signs of wear in our room. The 3 level infinity pool with the infinity river lagoon pool and then the river with all the landscaping. You need to visit there to appreciate the design, attention to detail and superb maintenance. Even the maintenance stop there work to greet you. DON"T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE IN CHIANG RAE!

The hotel is in a decent location, around 10 minutes from the city center. It looks modern and pretty new. Our room was good size and clean. I really liked the japanese style toilet (I wish it was a standard everywhere). The pool is decent, but it has a cold water. It was refreshing for me, but it may not be for everyone. The pool area is small, just a few sunbeds. The breakfast is pretty average, few warm choices and some fruit, but it gets the job done. Overall for the price it was very good. We even got a nice welcome drink.

The hotel was excellent! The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help you ensure your stay was superb. The rooms were enormous and so comfortable. The toilets were the modern ‘Japanese style’ toilets with remote control (if you know, you know!). Tea and coffee, kettle, hairdryer in the room and a powerful spacious shower. We had medicine with us that needed to be kept cold and travel freezer packs and the staff were so accommodating in ensuring this was catered for. The rooftop pool is great as well, with 8 - 10 loungers. The hotel is located a short walk (0.7m) from the centre of town. As fantastic as the hotel itself is, it’s the staff that make it special. The management/owners of the hotel are very lucky to have such a great team. They made our short stay in Chiang Mai a very good experience.

Fairly Luxurious and great value for money. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and modern with good lighting and large window overlooking city. Bathroom and toilet area quite spacious. Excellent shower. All very clean. The rooftop pool area was a relaxing way to spend a few hours after sightseeing. The rooftop rooms looked amazing. Breakfast was good and offered both Asian and European cuisine. The location is a little way out from town but taxis and tuk tuks are easy and cheap.

This hotel was very nice. It was not the cheapest for Thailand but still a great value for how nice and comfortable it was. Very close to the city and markets. You do have to cross a busy street but if you are not comfortable with that it is very easy and quick to get a grab! Clean amenities & spacious. The staff was so lovely and helpful! The breakfast buffet was delicious! Rooftop pool was nice.

Within walking distance (around 20 minutes) to the night bazaar and bus terminal. It was also relatively central to places a Grab away like the white temple, blue temple etc. Was a very spacious and clean room. Had a nice Japanese style bidet which was very refreshing. Had a pool on the rooftop although we didn’t get a chance to try it out.

- Humongous resort with plenty of vegetation in the property. Huge trees and hundreds of potted plants on the way to the rooms from reception. A lot of nature. - Massive swimming pool with big trees covering the pool, thus giving good privacy to those who swim. - Big room with comfortable space to keep all our 4 bags in open position. - Delicious breakfast with live egg counter. A few options available for vegetarians too. - Lot of space inside the property to park cars. - All staff including receptionist, bell boys & restaurant staff are humble, polite, courteous and approachable.

Beautiful relaxing gardens, excellent breakfast, large very clean pool, ample pool chairs. Large room with modern decor, very comfortable beds.

Very quiet and relaxed environment. The swimming pool and surrounds are very pleasant. Each room is designed to have its own little green space with flowers and shrubs. The rooms were clean. The staff at the front desk were particularly helpful. The breakfast spread was magnificent. Location wise, the township is a decent walk (because of the heat) but you can find plenty of good restaurants on the walk in (e.g. BonSemi Cafe)... and a 7/11 just around the corner for snacks and drinks.

Good sized room, comfortable bed, excellent staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was good, reasonably central, plenty to see and do and some restaurants close by. We were able to walk to the night markets, though the foot paths and roads weren’t in the greatest condition…not the Hotels fault of course! you’d have no problems getting a Grab. Pool was in good condition, well looked after and the poolside snacks and cocktails were also welcome. Pool towels, water and fruit provided, which was a nice touch. Would we stay again…yes! Thanks for a great intro to Chiang Rai.

This hotel was perfect, great location, helpful staff, looked after every need. In arrival, they made sure we knew our way around. The pool doesn't get alot of sun, but it's a welcome relief after a hot busy day. Nice to sit by the pool and wind down.

The staff were exceptional, super helpful, communicative and responsive. They go the extra mile for you. Lots of lovely touches in the hotel such as free bottled water, snacks, fruit & tea throughout the stay (help yourself), pool towels next to pool, cushions and comfy sunbeds, and the pack of rice crackers as a parting gift. The staff always checking everything is ok. The room was comfortable, spacious, plenty of room for our belongings. The shower was good and aircon worked well. Great location, a 5-10 min walk to night bazaar where food and atmosphere was excellent. Quiet location, no noise at all.

So many things...The pool/bar area was fabulous. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Bed firm but comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! A few free mini bar treats, and free bottles of water each day was great. Pool is a little chilly, but refreshing in the hot weather! Parting gift of rice cracker snacks was appreciated, as we had a long bus ride to Chiang Mai!!

I guess we have experienced Thai hospitality at its best :) The hosts are super friendly, helpful and recommended us different places to go and it made our short exploration of Chiang Rai very diverse and memorable. We were allowed to check in right upon arrival with a morning bus. We got the nice reliable scooters for a fair price from the guesthouse which was incredibly convenient. We booked last minute and I didn't really check all the facilities, my primary focus was on location, a/c and scooters, but the room had everything we might need and even more (we found fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which was very convenient). Location is very central and close to the bus station (8-10min walking) and maybe 10-15 min to the night markets, but at the same time very quiet at night. Price/value is perfect.

We loved our stay at Grandma's. The room was super clean, there was a mesh guard over the toilet window, so no bugs and no foul smell of dampness. The room itself was spacious and clean. The AC was excellent. There was even another side room which we never used (maybe a washroom?). The staff were very helpful, they helped arrange a driver to take us around the major sites of Chiang Rai. The location is perfect, it's a short walk away from the busy parts (night market) so you still get a great night sleep. There are even bananas sitting, which you can help yourself too. We extended our stay by a night too because it was so nice and relaxed.

What a lovely place!! Really wished we could have stayed here longer than 1 night but we had transport booked. There's not much to see in Chiang Rai but it has one of the best night markets I have been to in Thailand and the hotel is a short walk away. The room felt so cosy and homely. A/C was good, bed was comfy and was very spacious. There was a balcony area with seating. Big fridge in the room too. They had motorbikes to hire downstairs and could book tours with them too. They were kind enough to store our luggage after we checked out and let us come back and shower before our night bus to Bangkok.

The structure is very close to all the main attractions in Chiang Rai! It is safe, clean and the staff is incredibly hospitable! The ladies managing the house are sweet and understanding. They are ready to give you recommendations on places around and the best things to do! They also offer scooter rental for a very good price which is highly recommended so you can move easily around and go everywhere! Not to mention that the lady after check out came after us as she forgot to give a couple of souvenirs but still wanted to do that, so sweet! There is also a laundry nearby where you can leave clothes to be washed and dried at a good price!

This place is brilliant in every way. It is run and staffed by several generations of the same family (all female) who are just the loveliest people imaginable. Smiley, friendly and always on hand to help make your stay more comfortable. The rooms are large and well equipped, the beds comfortable and the building is cool enough not to need the aircon at night. It's a small place with only seven or eight rooms and they even operate a motorcycle rental business from the same premises. It's a ten minute walk to the clock tower and all the nightlife. If you want a great stay near the centre of Chiang Rai then look no further.

Quiet setting about 1 Mile walk into town. We had a room with our own private pool which was very nice and we used it daily. The jetted tub in our bathroom wasn’t working but it turned out it was a fuse tripped and the maintenance reset for us. We should have asked them to do this sooner. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed the music at night. Our suite was big enough for a family!

Very nice and comfortable Hotel with luxury houses direct to the River. We had a house with Private Pool and 2 bedrooms.The service is perfect and the whole stuff very friendly and helpful. Tha Thai Massage was exzellent. The breakfast delicious. The Manager of the Hotel was present every morning due the breakfast and asked if everything is ok.

I would like to thank all the staff at the Legend Hotel for their wonderful hospitality. I was so happy there, that I extended my trip by a few more days. Eric the GM, and Stefan were always around to make sure everything was good, and they advised and recommended various things. The one day tour to see the 9 sights in Chiang Rai with JTTT was fantastic and a good price at THB1000 per person. The restaurants onsite included an italian restaurant and local thai food, so you had a great selection to choose from, and it was really good quality and tasty. All the staff were friendly and helpful - everything served with a smile - thank you to Mai and her team. The pool was wonderful, and I spent many hours there on my trip. This hotel is a bit out of town, so use Grab to get a taxi etc. but it was so peaceful with lovely views of the river it is worth being slightly out of town. The only recommendations I would suggest are: - please sell large bottles of water, especially by the Pool. - I know I was there out of season, but it would have been good if the waiting staff made rounds around the pool to clear up dirty plates etc, but also to take orders for food & drink. I know we could call, but it would be good to see the staff walking around helping!

We spent 5 nights here at The Legend it is situated in a very quiet street down by the river . Our room was lovely, it had a mosquito net around the bed ( we did not need it ) screens on all doors and windows and mosquito lotion in the room .A nice relaxing pool area and clean pool with plenty of loungers . Great bathroom with jacuzzi tub , in room safe , kettle, coffee, tea umbrella , aircon plus a fan and bathroom amenities Mozzies are there due to the beautiful gardens, fish ponds and closeness of the river but the resort has things in place so you are no bothered by them . Breakfast was buffet style and enough variety for everyone also cappuccino and latte made for us . We had pizza and craft beer in house one night that was really nice and Thai on our last night in their restaurant. My husband had a lovely beef curry but my Pad Thai Goong wasnt the best ( I did mention it to staff ) noodles not cooked enough and the dry prawns/shrimp were tough so I didnt finish it. Our starters were also really good and craft beer to wash it down . The staff at The Legend were very attentive and always smiling. You are never ignored the staff seem to know just when you need them . So Legend Chiang Rai we will be back thank you for a great 5 days .

Oh My GOD. That was the word comes to my mind. It is one of the most amazing resort I've ever stayed in my life. The nature and the beauty and the ambience, The smell, they view from my room. It's spellbinding. I will never forget my experience staying in this hotel for the rest of my life. The breakfast was awesome. Especially the Porridge soup.. it was beyond. Even the eggs to order, she made the exact right egg the way that I love. The manager was so hospitable and the front desk staff, they were such a darling. THe swimming pool is amazing as the view from the swimming pool to the river is spell binding. I'm still not over with the amazingness of this resort. It is a sure place I'm gonna stay everytime I come to Chiang Rai, I'm going to recommend this resort to so many people. Thank you for the great experience.

Perfect accomodation near ChiangRai downtown bus terminal and night bazar, in a quite area. The room was clean, equioed with everything needed. In case you want to prepare breakfast you have the possibility to use shared kitcen in the morning (free toast bread, eggs and coffee from the house) - was not the case for us, but is a nice, good option available. We didn't had fridge in the room, but a shared one was available in case of need. The staff is very comunicative and helpfull. One over the other, perfect accomodation for us and our needs - we actually used the room only over night, rest of the day we were out exploring the region.

I arrived before check in and was greeted by a lovely lady who let me check in early. The room was very spacious and clean with a very large double bed. Air con worked well and there was a tv. Bathroom was clean and supplied good soaps and a shower cap. They offer a free breakfast (toast,eggs,tea,coffee) which I helped myself to in the communal kitchen. There were books and magazines and free biscuits out aswell. Night time is very quiet and within walking distance to restaurants,cafes and shops or a short grab drive away. I would 100% come back to this hotel.

I loved that place, small Thai hotel, we stayed for 5 nights. The room was very clean. The staff was helpful, the room was big enough, hot shower, bottles of water waiting in the room The sheets and towels were replaced everyday, the rooms cleaned as well!. Laundry service on sight. 10-15 mn walk to the night bazaar, and to some good Thai restaurants. 10-15 mn walk to the bus terminal 1. Shared clean kitchen where you can find eggs, bread, coffee/tea, jam... Renting a scooter just around the corner. I really recommend it.!!!

The hotel is perfect for a family getaway. We stayed in a three-person room and were very pleased with our experience. The room was spacious and cozy, well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is also very convenient – within walking distance of the city's main attractions. For the price, NaRak is a great hotel. I even enjoyed making my own breakfast, but instead of a coffee machine, they had a device that just served instant coffee.

A very large comfortable bed (the best we have had during this trip - 1 month). The large room with rain shower. The location on a quiet street at the end of a small blind lane - but only 300 m from the lively night bazar. The sitting area outside the self service kitchen (they also have a light self service complimentary breakfast with eggs, toast, jam, coffee and tea). The staff was very nice and helpful. We recommend this placr.

Absolutely perfect place to stay in Chiang Rai especially if you have your own wheels!! Location - 5 minute stroll to massive new local shopping centre / arcade. Taxis and Grabs can be easily got to and from here to nearby attractions if needed. Top tip - if arriving by car mapping apps only show entrance by one side but you can arrive off either road ... security on both gates. Hotel - beautiful interior, lovely staff and good dining options. Especially liked the library seating area and Cafe which means you can enjoy a snack/drink whilst relaxing in a comfy environment. Excellent WiFi and amenities. The pool is large but very shallow 0.8m so don't expect too much ... plenty of loungers if that's your thing as well. Food - good dining experience and plenty of options at breakfast. Room - absolutely fantastic, large, well appointed and incredibly comfy! Lovely sofa and dining area - bed was perfect and super comfy! Spot on. Parking - absolutely no shortage ... you could park an entire stadiums worth here!! All secured by security.

Couldn't believe the value for money with this hotel! A beautiful hotel that has perfectly balanced modern decor with traditional Thai elements. Everything was exceptional here, from the welcoming staff (who kindly helped with photocopying some items for us), to the impressive facilities (coffee lounge, gym and pool). The room was huge compared to others we've had in Thailand and the bed was the most comfortable I think I've ever slept in. Whilst the location is a little further out from the main city/night market etc, we preferred the quiet location and Grabs were so reasonable, it was easy to get around. There is also a new shopping centre within a 10-min walk of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Rai.

The facilities in this hotel entrance were outstanding. It had a well equipped gym, a nice pool with lots of chairs, a lounge area, a restaurant. We were blown away with how much space there was. You could easily just hang out around the hotel for the day to relax because it has everything you need. Staff were all professional and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and clean, with very good soundproofing, the price for our stay was affordable. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations (and we have stayed in a LOT of hotels)

The room was really comfortable and I was lucky and got an end room and had 2 big windows. It was quiet for me although I see other reviews that state otherwise. The cafe library was nice and relaxing and is also a bar. The pool area is lovely. The breakfast had a very good choice of food

This was one of the best property we stayed during our trip to Thailand, the room was amazing the hotel was huge and so underrated i thing these guys with the price we had should have been packed with guests but it wasn’t that crowded which was amazing for us. Pool area was very nice too.

The property was beyond my expectations. It had a good rating on booking.com, this is also the reason why I choose it and found that it richly deserves its rating. First of all, the property was very nicely arranged, it had a pool with large red fish, specific to the Asian region, as I saw in several places during my stay. Very tasty breakfast, with a choice between the Asian, European or mixed version. Big, spacious room, large and comfortable double bed, I also had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs (which I didn't have time to use). Elegant bathroom, shower cabin, hot water both in the sink and in the shower, daily cleaning, changed towels and sheets, arranged the bed... In just few words ..... I recommend that property. It is the kind of property that I would happily return to in the future.

The Check-In was perfect and overall the staff is super friendly. The house itself is very beautiful and the rooms modern and spaceous. There are plenty of outlets. The beds are very comfortable and also spaceous. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The AC is not the quitest one but we found it allright. There is also a window covered with a mosquito net which we closed each night, since the insects are quite loud. But with the closed window it is completly quite. One also has a TV in the room. The window towards the inner courtyard which can be darkened by the curtains. The room itself is also lockable. The breakfast offers esch day another option of a Thai breakfast which we liked a lot and can just recommend it! There is also some juice, fruits, Toast, marmelade and one can get freshly fried egg, hamd and sausage. The breakfast room is very beautiful and semi-outdoor. Nearby are several local food options as well as a 7 Eleven and a Mini C. All in all we can just reccomend this accomodation to anyone who wants to explore the beautiful city of hiang Rai!

AMAZING! :) If you go to Chiang Rai you must stay in Homey Dormy. Our room was very big and nice, (2 AC). Also room was clean which is important. The breakfast is excellent, "resort" nicely decorated. I would like to praise the kindness of the owner. You can borrow a bike (ask for a lock at the reception), as well as the pump if the tire is empty. The next very good experience is that they called B-RIDER (rent a scooter) at the reception, and they brought the scooter in 20 minutes. In the evening until 18:00 they also come to the hotel to take it back. We drove all day for 500BTH, we probably could have gotten cheaper, but for all the comfort and good experience, it wouldn't be worth looking around the city for other options :) So I can only warmly recommend this accommodation!

Loved our stay there. Planned 2 days and landed up staying 15 days. Clean with everything needed and very nice owner and staff. Highly recommended. For perspective work remotely and liked it so much we decided to stay longer in the bigger rooms which I recommend for longer stays. WiFi was great, water pressure and heating was also very good. Enough in the vicinity for whatever you need. Maybe 2km from town centre so was quite. Have bicycles if you want to go to town anyway. Family run and staff really pleasant. Breakfast ample too. Rate for what you get we felt was excellent too which is why we stayed so long.

This place went above and beyond. The breakfast was great, we stayed for 2 nights and had a different breakfast each day. The location was good, very close to a small airstrip with a cafe and close to Central Plaza mall. The room was huge and very clean! The bathroom was big as well and had the shower separated from the toilet which was nice. The entire property is very well maintained, you can tell a lot of effort went into decorating it and that effort is appreciated. This place is excellent value and well worth a visit, stay here if you are in Chiang Rai!

Beautiful courtyard loved the carp pools. The room was clean and very comfy- just what I needed after travelling for two days!!

The place is very cozy. The rooms are huge, the beds are very comfortable and everything is clean. They clean your room and change the towels every day. The garden is beautiful and you have tables to sit there and enjoy the place. The place is very calm and very close to the center and many temples. The most valuable thing for me was the attention of the owners and staff, they are aware of every need and that your stay is the best possible. I had an accident with my foot and they took care of me all the time, they were very attentive and helped me with everything. I am very grateful! I recommend this place 100%

I have stayed here twice and have been thoroughly satisfied. The hotel is located in the main center of town, near many restaurants that are open at the latest any business in Chiang Rai can be opened for! The street is quiet, so you won't hear excessive noise during odd hours, and the beds are super comfortable. The showers provide nice warm water, and cleaning service is always available, every day, upon request, with no additional charge! The staff also speak fluent English, so you can communicate with them about any interests you may have about the city that you want to explore further.

Really nice location just 7 minute walk to the night market.Really nice place so calm and peaceful,it feels like home. Every thing was so clean. There is a laundromat right next door and also places you could eat walking distance... The food in Chang Rai was amazing. Really nice people... Breakfast for me was okey They have is bread so you could toasted Gelly and butter,they also have a coffee machine. I really would be back if ever visit Chang Rai again...Love this place

We had a great stay and the hotel is beautiful. Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good and they also have a restaurant and rooftop. The hotel also has a small gym and unfortunately the pool was under construction when we were there but we got to go to the hotel across the street to use their pool so wasn’t a problem. Staff was super friendly and helpful and helped organize a driver for the day as well as recommended where to eat in the evenings, called the restaurant beforehand and ordered a car for us to get there. The hotel is approximately 15 min walk from the center and you can borrow bikes for free.

Beautiful hotel and the staff was beyond amazing. Food was excellent. The pool was under construction while we were there but they gave us passes to a hotel nearby to use their pool.

We booked the Mora based on previous good reviews, and weren’t disappointed. We had a large balcony room, overlooking the pool area, which was tastefully decorated to match the rest of the hotel decor. The wardrobe in the bathroom was a bit odd but didn’t cause any issues. The hotel is well located very close to the Saturday night market and about 15 minutes from the clock tower light display a regular night market. The staff were super helpful and breakfast was great. We don’t normally eat in hotel restaurants but we thought we’d try the roof top restaurant on our first night as we hadn’t had time to look for alternatives. The food and service were so good we ended up eating there 3 times! Overall I’m not sure why you’d stay anywhere else.

My daughter and I were traveling together. We loved everything about this quaint hotel. The service was impeccable! They stores our bags because our room was not ready and our bags were in the room waiting for us upon our return later in the day. They also stored the bags after check-out while we went on an elephant excursion. We were able to enjoy the pool when we returned and freshened up in the spa before we headed to the airport. Such a beautiful place at a great value!!!

This was a lovely little hotel! The bed was super comfortable. Staff friendly. The free breakfast was very good. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool since it rained during our stay. Our stay included a complementary shuttle to the bus station which was very appreciated (only after your stay, they do not provide pick up on arrival). There are free bikes but I wouldn't recommend using them. The breaks didn't work very well and no helmets. Great 4 star hotel! Would definitely recommend!

I was very happy to finally find one of those old style no frills Guesthouses, where you don't have to pay for things you don't need. There's a lovely jungly garden with several sitting areas...and a few cats. The location is perfect. Very close to the bus station and right in the happening area of town, but set back from the road, so it's quiet. My room was small, but clean and had a private bathroom and a little furnished balcony. Very nice to chill out in the evenings. I was told the WiFi wouldn't work in my room, but it did work on my balcony.

Baan Bua Guest House in Chiang Rai was a great place to stay during my trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. The location is central and just a few minutes' walk from the bus station, making it easy to get around. There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby, providing plenty of options for food and drinks. The rooms are cheap, basic, but very comfortable, making it an excellent value for the price. I highly recommend Baan Bua Guest House for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Chiang Rai.

The gardens of the property are great and it is nice to sit around in the evening and unwind. The room is nice and pretty spacious. The location is also really good, close to the center. But I think the owner makes this place ten times better. She is such a lovely lady, always with a smile, always helpful and friendly. When we stayed there, my friend and I had a cold and were coughing. She heard us though the open window and just showed up with some hot honey orange drink to help relieve our cough. That was such a kind gesture.

You have got everything you could need in a 3 min walk radius from the property (resto, shops, night market, bus terminal, scooter rental,…) yet you get to hang out in the most green and beautiful garden when at the guest house. The staff are too kind and always there for anything you could need (they also make a mean breakfast ;D And have drinking water at your disposal for free)! Room was nice and spacious with a back “patio”. Could not have wished for more with the low price we payed to stay there.

The Owner Tim is the most Beautiful soul I have met. Her 35 yrs of ownership is refected in her knowledge of the Chiang Rai area, her fluent English speaking and her natural love of people is refected into make you feel at home. Her staff are friendly and helpful. The Garden area is what makes the Guesthouse stand out. Bus station Night Market, Bike rental and most convenience stores and restaurants are within an easy walk. Good location, quiet with an easy walk into town. Reliable hot shower. Breakfast looked really good (we don't eat breakfast) Comfortable bed. Everything worked. Nice pool, very cold,pool towel provided. Our room was not ready on arrival so offered an upgrade, this room did have a balcony so suggested they provided chairs on the walkway outside the room. This was quickly sorted and suited us well.

I could not recommend this hotel enough if you are planning to travel to Chiang Rai. We ended up having to stay in town for a total of 16 days after suffering a painful motorcycle accident, which meant that we had to extend our stay at Huen Chan Thip for that time too. It is a cozy, well-located B&B with an amazing Thai breakfast buffet, a great outdoor swimming pool and comfortable rooms. But by far the best part of the whole experience is the family that runs this guesthouse. They were always extremely kind, understanding, flexible and accommodating to us after we had our accident, even offering to drive us to the hospital, pharmacy, etc. Whatever it was that we needed help with, they would find a way to make it happen. And even though we were thousands of kilometers away from our own families in Spain, we truly felt like a part of the Huen Chan Thip family (which includes all the adorable cats). They really helped make this difficult time just that much easier for us. So look no further if you’re backpacking around South-East Asia like us, or even if you’re just feeling a bit nostalgic. I’m sure you will feel just as loved and at home as we did. Thank you Huen Chan Thip ❤️

I loved the cozy vibe as soon as I walked through the door. We stayed 4 weeks and got to know the staff. They treated us very kindly. The location is perfect...close to many restaurants. We were there during the bad flooding (September 2024) and despite losing cleaning staff for a few weeks, room cleaning and other services were maintained through the hard work of the remaining staff. The pool was wonderful. Altogether a great experience and I will be staying there again in October.

The staff was so friendly! They helped us with everything we asked! The pool was nice to cool down in and the breakfast buffet was fine (just a lot of meat/asian options). The beds were also rhe most comfortable beds I have had in Asia. The cats were a big bonus! absolutely loved having so many well taken care of cats around.

The room has a good size, the be was really very comfortable, hot water in the shower, clean room. The small pool inside the court of the hotel was nice (looking), but we didn't make use of that. The breakfast was sufficient and excellent, Thai Food as well a bit Western (Farang) fodd availale. Super good coffee.
