Hotels with Swim-up Rooms in Christ Church

The property was amazing!! My room with a swim up pool/patio was out of this world. There are not a lot of activities however... It is a very quiet place. If you want entertainment you will have to go elsewhere (except for the nightly singers performing on the patio).

I took a solo trip here and while it was great, there was room for improvement. I'll start with the pro's: I told them I was celebrating my birthday and they decorated my room for my arrival and it was amazing! My room was spacious and the aesthetic of the hotel was great! I had a swim out suite. The hotel staff were awesome! As a solo traveler, I needed some help making content and taking photos and they were amazing at making sure to catch all my angles! There was also amazing live music during dinner and the beach was so close and they have plenty of seats for you to lounge around! The spa was also amazing! Now for the few cons: the chairs outside my swim out suite were stained and looked uncleaned. Also I did not like that my swim out suite faced the swim up bar and guest could easily see into my room. As a solo traveler- it could be a little scary. Also my AC was leaking two nights in a row and even after telling the staff, nothing was done to fix it. Also, while most meals were really good, the breakfast options could be better. I would've liked atleast one breakfast meal to be a la carte vs. buffet style Aside from that its a super cute hotel! Friendly staff! Amazing live music during dinner and offers both the pool and beach!

I have been to many All Inclusive resorts, and this one by far blows all others out of the water for Food and Service! Staff was all very friendly. They actually seemed happy to be there working! Grounds were well kept. Rooms were large. We were in the adult side, which I believe is newer then the other building. Lots of choices for dinners. Breakfast was just the buffet, which was fine! Lunch was the buffet, and Blue Fin for Ala carte lunch. No ice machines around, you need to call front desk. And they were there knocking at our door with it. House keeping was weird, not in cleanliness, but in the supply of towels. One day no clean towels left, The following day, 1 bath towel left for 2 people. But I called and they brought them right up. They offer turn down service in the evening. Restaurants need reservations, which was simple! Make them when you check in. Do NOT miss Oro, that was excellent! They had a singer every evening till 10. The pools were nice, but the main pool (adults only) doesn’t get much sun. And was in a wind tunnel. But pools were clean. Beach was nice! Plenty of chairs at pool and beach. Always a large supply of pool towels! My only issue, is they have a large staff, why no entertainment crew?? Pool needs to liven up. Pool bars were not busy, I think for that reason. But a very nice experience for us!

Everything, I mean everything, about our vacation was wonderful. The staff, the food, drinks, pools, beach. Everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived and had a tour of the property. The staff could not have been any nicer or friendly. We would love to return here for another vacation.

This was my second time staying at Sandals Royal Barbados, and it was just as amazing. My friends and I had a wonderful experience, the resort itself is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. We stayed in the butler category rooms with swim-up pools, which added the perfect touch of luxury to our trip. The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a visit.

My wife and I were there celebrating our 27th Anniversary and we had an amazing time. Our suite was beautiful (swim up), very spacious and comfortable. It included butler service (Melissa, Rachel and Aquila), and they were fantastic. We were waited on hand and foot and did not have to want for anything no matter where we were on the resort. The restaurants we chose to have meals were great (you definitely have to try Bombay and Soy). I could go on and on about our stay there. Our only disappointment was, because of all the seaweed, we could not enjoy the beach.

We are currently at Sandals Royal and it’s gorgeous walking around on a night the smell of the beautiful gardens is heavenly. This is our first visit to a sandals resort and it won’t be our last, we have a swim up room and the guys keep the area immaculate. The food is lovely although a little slow sometimes and a couple of the restaurants have been closed, ( the monkey pub due to loosing the A/C) I’d advise booking early for the restaurants you fancy like well in advance as they get booked up very quickly. Most of the staff have been super friendly and couple of grumpy bar tenders but no one can be happy all the time right ? My only complaint is we are here to celebrate our 20 anniversary and we didn’t get any acknowledgement for it no happy anniversary on the bed ect despite booking the romantic package of a spa day and meal on the beach, I did however get a beautiful ruby and diamond upgrade engagement ring from the on site shop at a great price . The entertainment is lacking here but that suits us both really we like to just chill. We have met a few couples who had done lots of sandals resorts and all claim this is the worst one they have stayed at, one couple asked to upgrade to a swim up room x3 and 6 days later still no response 🤷‍♀️ However our stay has been wonderful and we shall deff do another. Sad to be leaving tomorrow Thanks sandals 😊

Just come back from this fantastic resort. It’s two resorts in one which gives you the double the fun with the amount of pools and restaurants. I unfortunately broke my ankle 3 weeks before we arrived, and the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Our butlers Shaquille, Latoya and Mya really couldn’t do any more. We had a Rondoval room which was fantastic and the management had made Ramps for me to get in and out with a wheel chair. Thanks to Jon Patrick (resort manger) and Bruno (general manger) for your kind hospitality. Nikita in loyalty and travel is fantastic too. You may need orientation if you haven’t been here before as both Barbados and Royal Barbados mingle in to one. Booking Butches chop house is a must and there is another butches in Barbados as well. The roof top pool is great for views and the Parisienne restaurant up there is great too. Best breakfast is in Green house by the quiet oasis pool. There are several pools from quiet,swim up bar and noisy, so take your pick. Definitely our fav resort, and we will be going back. Thanks to all the staff for a fantastic holiday.

What an amazing hotel. The staff, the location, the service, the room.......we wouldn't change a thing. We stayed in Room 2 with a small plunge pool and a view of the ocean, it was exceptional. Having our own kitchenette was invaluable and we put it to good use.

Our suite with a private pool was absolutely amazing. All of the staff was also absolutely amazing, their hospitality was superb. We literally felt like a part of their family. We loved everything

What you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel. Very plush rooms and our ocean suite had a private plunge pool which was fantastic. Welcoming, helpful staff and the restaurant was 1st class. Location was excellent with quiet beaches and warm waters and perfect if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown.

Just home from an amazing 9 nights at this hotel. Amazing service brilliant staff. Cafe luna served great food and drinks. Stayed in room 2 with a private pool comfortable and well equipped had a small kitchen so could do some self catering as well. In a brilliant location beach views Higjly recommended

Beautiful and spacious suite in a very peaceful neighbourhood. But, you really need to have a car as it is not within safe walking distance to anywhere.

We stayed just one night before flying back to London. Wish we could’ve stayed another week! Amazing apartment in gorgeous surroundings. Defo recommend

When you only have reviews to go on sometimes you have to take a chance with the hotel. You never really know until you get there whether you made the right choice. When we were pulling into St. Lawrence gap, we realized it was in the area where the bars and entertainment were. We pulled up to the hotel and were pleased with our initial impression. When we got inside, we met the front desk staff. The morning and afternoon people appear to rotate their shifts. We had a lot of interaction with both of them. they are both phenomenal! They always had a smile on their face and were very helpful with everything including finding a great island tour. We then went to our room and were very happy with the room and the view. The pool deck outside and the view were terrific. We were right up against the water, however there is no beach attached. If you wanted Dover beach, you just had to walk down the block about three minutes. We normally like the beach, but we actually wound up spending a lot of time on the hotel deck and enjoying the waves and the pool. I was concerned that the music from the bars and restaurants might be a problem with sleeping, but with the air conditioning on, we essentially did not hear it at all. You could hear it a little when you were in the front of the room near the bathroom, but not back in the sleeping area. so that should not be a concern at all. We were very happy at the South Gap hotel and would highly recommend it!

South Gap Hotel is a hidden gem located in the heart of St Lawrence Gap. The ocean view from our balcony was breath taking. The staff are professional and courteous. The food was very good. The wings were great!! Our room was kept clean everyday. The pool and surrounding dining areas were kept clean. The maintenance staff were diligent with the upkeep of the property. The hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a food cart outside of the hotel that opens up around 8:00pm. They offer hamburgers, ($10 US dollars) fish sandwiches (that are to die for), ($10 US), macaroni pie, rice and peas, etc. If you get the late night munchies, you are going to be happy that the food cart is there. All the restaurants stop serving food around 9:30pm. Taxi’s are right outside of the hotel. You can also ask the front desk to call a taxi for you if needed. You also have a cheaper option of taking the shared mini vans for $1.75 US. The dollar exchange is simple. $1.00 US is equivalent to $2.00 Bajan. Driving is on the left side of the road if you consider renting a car. In closing, my sister and I noticed a family that left their drinking glasses around the pool area on the ground. These are classless folks. Although you are on vacation, you don’t have to conduct yourself as if you don’t have any home training. We can’t wait to go back next year!!! 😎

Everything. View from your balcony is worth booking for on it's own as was being able to watch the sunset from the pool deck during happy hour at the bar. Rooms are clean and modern with housekeeping providing a daily service. The kitchenette was nice to have so you could have breakfast or dinner in your room and also to keep your beers cold. All the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as 2 fantastic beaches. If you don't fancy getting sand on your feet then the pool and loungers are great for spending a lazy day at the hotel. Fantastic hotel and we would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel. We had a junior suite which is at the back of the hotel so no noise could be heard from bars on the Gap. Great location near lots of bars and great restaurants. Great place to explore the island and within easy reach of a number of beautiful beaches. The pool/decking area is stunning , great place for a lazy day around the pool. Staff are great and our suite was cleaned with fresh towels and bedding daily . Our 2nd stay here and we will definitely be back . Also the food at this hotel is very good and 2 great popular happy hrs every day .

I had a very pleasant stay at South Gap Hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered a stunning ocean view. The pool and pool deck had a really cool vibe—perfect for relaxing. The only downside was the slow service at the restaurant. However, that was easily overlooked thanks to Tia at the front desk. Her customer service was exceptional—she was friendly, helpful, and an absolute joy to talk to. She truly made the experience memorable. Overall, it was a great stay, and I can definitely see myself coming back.

One night in heaven Yellow bird hotel has location 20 yards to beach, nice pool area to relax with a beer or cocktails. Food is good and reasonable prices . Staff are brilliant, friendly, engaging and committed to great service . A credit to the hotel and Barbados hospitality. Rooms are big , spotless clean with great bathrooms and a nice balcony areas . Grab 102 or 103 room ground floor for a walk out garden and fast pool access. Thank you James Rodgers

This will be a mixed review. The best thing was the closeness to the public transportation. Literally outside the door. Great location too being near all the night life at St Lawrence Gap, but this location helped with not really hearing all the night loudness. Check in was a bit of a disappointment. For one thing, there was construction going on that we weren’t aware of until we were there. Our room wasn’t ready at 3 but they did give us a credit at their restaurant to make up for it. Didn’t think the check in gal was very friendly, she was very matter of fact which rubbed the wrong way. Although everyone else we came across as far as staff was exceptional and so nice. The pool did need to be closed due to a glass breaking but they remedied it by letting us use the South Gap Hotels pool which is actually so much nicer than Yellow Birds pool. We did switch rooms during our stay as we wanted a higher floor for a better view. Our first room that wasn’t ready at 3 was comfortable but the bathroom mirror needed to be cleaned better. Second room was better cleaned. It’s definitely a dated property. If we were to visit again I would probably try the south gap hotel which is their sister property and right on the water. The only thing that makes Yellow Bird a better stay is the location to public transportation… They were also really sweet acknowledging my birthday…

Yellow bird hotel , where to start . Welcome at hotel was fun, lots of smiles and a beautiful bajan welcome drink to kick off our stay . 20 room hotel perfect size for personal attention and interaction with all the staff at the hotel. Great location and view to the beach & sea are incredible. We loved our lower level room 102 as it gave garden and straight access to the pool . Higher floors afford a better sea view but ground level in my view didn’t diminish the view . The rooms are big,comfortable, great bathroom, huge bed , kitchen area to cook if you wish, big fridge , Safe in room you really have it all and great AC but the best part is cleanliness it’s spotlessly clean and meticulously cleaned every single day buy awesome team . The bar area is relaxing spot with great staff , happy hrs 12-1 & 5-6 a must to take advantage of . Good standard of hotel food , especially breakfast and very reasonably priced for Barbados location. Pool area is compact but excellent, cleaned daily and perfect temperature. Lastly and most importantly the staff Cheryl and her wonderful team are just brilliant and made our holiday into a very special memory the entire team from front desk, bar, restaurant, housekeeping and management are a true credit to the hotel and Barbados. This is an excellent small hotel with friendly staff that go out of their way to make your stay special. The rooms with balconies overlooking the pool are spacious and very comfortable. The pool is well maintained and loungers and umbrellas provide areas to sit

I have just returned from a weeks stay with my adult daughter . The Yellowbird did not disappoint in any area . The staff are so friendly and helpful . Michelle on reception arranged a Bajan celebration trip for us and our return taxi to the airport . Our delux double room 204 had a lovely view , the bed was super comfy and we didn't have any issues with outside noise . The room was equipt with all the amenities if you want to cook for yourself, we made breakfast but ate out the rest of the time . The hairdryer in the bathroom was quite powerful, and the shower worked well . Our room was very clean, and room service was provided daily . If you want to travel independently, the bus stop is right behind the hotel . Pool towels are provided . There are lots of good places to eat around the hotel , the Mexican next door is recommended along with Harliquin. If you're looking for a small hotel that is in a good location, with amazing staff and nice rooms, then look no further . Thank you for a wonderful stay

White Sands Barbados is our favorite getaway that never disappoints!! Beautiful villas, perfect location, extremely quiet, everything you need at home and so much more. Private pool. Best place to escape to!!! Staff is amazing ... couldn't do enough for us, so accommodating and gracious. We love this place!! We will be back in a few months - thank you!!!

Superb place, spacious, all mod cons. Very high standard of decor with a beach view even from the rear of the aparments. Ten yards walk to the beautiful beach, small comfort pool but really such a fabulous location and excellent comfort that there was no real need to jump in the pool. Everything you could wish for in a great stay in paradise.

We had originally booked a 2 bedroom deluxe condo, but decided after the fact we would like beachfront. We were able to secure this through the facility manager Cyrus ahead of time at extra cost to us. We felt it was worth it. The view is incredible. We had Villa Q on the 3rd floor which is beachfront. The cleanliness of the unit was perfect. No issues at all with this around the whole resort. It is centrally located in St. Lawrence Gap to provide everything you need. The condo had all cooking appliances and kitchen gear one might need. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were clean and included a jacuzzi tub and a shower in each bathroom. Laundry machine is inside the condo allowing you to pack lighter than usual. We found the pool being in the shade a welcome break from the sun. The beach is small but it is clean and not overly rough. Our kids are small so we were always careful around the beach. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the resort. Truly amazing, all of the staff we encountered. The resort itself is smaller and quiter than most but that is what we prefer. The Island is full of wonderful places and people and White Sands Beach Condos is no exception. Thank you again for our very memorable holiday.

We initially got a little lost as the corner to St. Lawrence Gap is obscured when approaching from the East. My husband and I felt very safe as we walked through the Gap visiting the different restaurants. Unfortunately, we did not have the best of luck on the first 2 days with food choices, however, we definitely made up for it during the remainder of the stay. My choices: Indian restaurant [can't remember the name], Harlequin <--those are in St. Lawrence Gap. Other restaurants in the area that we enjoyed: Pure Ocean, Champers,and Mojos. Anyway, back to the Condos.....Be on the lookout for WSB Villas on the building. We passed it so many times, until it clicked to us that WSB White Sands Beach Villas. The parking is a little tight, but it was a beautiful place. There is a beach and a pool in the back of the villas. The rooms are clean and very efficient use of space. There is a housekeeper that comes to cleanup every 2 or 3 days. My only little "thing" was that the bed was very low. I'm not accustomed to having low beds so it was a little strange to me, but other than that, it was a fantastic find!

It’s right on the beach and in a prime location on St. Lawrence Gap! The property is amazing. Access to the beach, amenities including a pool and library on the property! The space and rooms are AMAZING! Everything you need is provided within those two-bedrooms. The balcony is like having a 3rd bedroom with the amount of space provided. Waking up to the crash of the waves was such a soul satisfying experience. You become one with nature. And last but not least, the standout GEM of all hosts is Cyrus! So kind and accommodating. He truly made my aunt’s 65th birthday trip amazing. Don’t forget about the Barbadian birdies that come to greet you and socialize every morning. They’re so cute and connect with humans so easily. My aunt was convinced that it was a deeper connection with one that visited us everyday and even hopped closer as she spoke to it. I believe it also. White Sands is 10/10 and MORE!

The place is amazing, right on the beach. The rooms are large and comfortable with some stunning views. The staff are warm and friendly. The service given is excellent and the food and entertainment were wonderful. The pools are clear and warm and loved the swim up bar.

Very nice hotel right on the beach. Had everything needed for a great stay right no site. Pool, restraunt, swim up bar, spa, etc. Staff was great, room was clean. Would stay again!

Lovely rooms, very clean and well maintained. Grounds well maintained, towels and beds readily available with attentive staff ready to erect sun parasols. Lovely beach and pools with swim up bar.

The property and the staff made us feel extremely well taken care of. The room was huge with ocean view. A swim-up bar and a separate restaurant were very convenient for the days you didn’t want to venture to far but still have fun.

All rooms facing sea, 50 meters away, pool then sea, small secluded own beach, rarely used, lovely, pool excellent. plenty external showers, exiting beach and pool, plenty sunbeds, pool bar, pizza , 3 sizes, biggest $30.

First time in Barbados, and couldn't ask for a better hotel. Right on the sea front. Yes the beach has gone, but the swimming pool more than compensate for that. Plenty of umbrellas and sun beds. Our bedroom was spacious and clean. A comfy bed. Shower wasn't the best. Had to contact reception about it, and it was sorted straight away. A fantastic view from the bedroom balcony of the sea, the pool and the garden. Staff friendly and aprochable. We had bed and breakfast. Breakfast was from 7am until 2pm. Pretty good choice, not the best, but definitely not the worst. Glad we did the breakfast option. Yes you can hear music from the bars in the night in the room, but not when we were in bed. A real good hotel, and if I was ever in Barbados again, I would definitely stay there again.

Great little basic hotel in the water. Sweet little beach great for swimming. Nice pool and lounge chairs. Nice little breakfast cafe right by the pool. Across the street is noisy and busting at night. Fun bars and restaurants. Even a bar for cricket fans! Cool little area. Room that was overlooking the beach was great - very comfortable but noisy at night so bring ear plugs. It didn’t keep us up at all but I imagine some people might not like the nighttime revelry across the street.

Stayed in room 413 for two weeks, Superior Ocean Front Studio. Lovely spacious, bright airy room with great air con and sea views. Well located in the Gap for all local bars and restaurants. Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed as often as we wanted. 2 happy hours per day at the bar. Good sized pool. We managed to get sun loungers on the three days we stayed around the pool. Free beach towels. Free use of room safe. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

well when they said "poolside" that is exactly what I got. My room walked right out to the pool and just beyond that the ocean was in perfect view. I have never been so happy in my life with the room I got. I was in my swimsuit feet in the water bum in the sand within a minute. PERFECTION

The Butterfly Beach is closing for renovations in the fall. We stayed 8 nights. Our room was cleaned daily the floors were mopped. I was disappointed in the a/c system as when it rotated it blew on the bed. Furthermore, the a/c leaked when not set at the proper temperature as warned. The TV broke during our stay it was promptly replaced. We had to upgrade our breakfast from the continental breakfast. It costs another $8.50 per person to upgrade to the full breakfast. The full breakfast changed a little daily but always consisted of eggs (fried, scrambled, or mini omelets) bacon, and sausage. Some of the rotational full breakfast food items were baked beans, pancakes, Bajan cakes, saltfish, and plantains. I was disappointed there was no yogurt or peanut butter. I was disappointed with our view as we had a pool view. They have 2 pools, one overlooks only the pool and the other overlooks a pool whirlpool area and ocean. A few nights I returned to the hotel and was concerned about parking but I always seemed to have a parking space. The access to the beach was tricky. I probably would not stay here again as the ocean comes in too far on the left side of the property. I was not sure if guests were allowed to use both sides of the beach. Also, I wanted to be able to walk to more attractions. Oistins is a 10-15 minute walk, buses seemed to run frequently. The St. Lawerence Gap is a further walk. Our interactions with the staff were pleasant.

Just come back from the most restful stay from one of our favourite holidays. The staff are the beating heart of the hotel always friendly and most attentive, the cleaners are hard working dedicated ladies, receptionists are always looking to make sure your stay is the most enjoyable, the bar staff are friendly and always happy to advise you on best places to go and or eat. The maintenance and security always say “good morning” or “have a nice day.” The food despite being a set menu never disappoints, always flavourful. The “roti” is amazing! A nice twist on all inclusive vibes as your served from your table and always topped up with water. The hot Breakfast always has eggs, sausages, bacon, potato and each day being different variations. The side pool is a nice addition to the hotel offering a quieter pool to the main pool. But by far the best thing about the hotel is the amazing views of the sea which is a stone throws away. We as a family loved this hotel and will be returning.

Myself and my Partner really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We loved two swimming pools. There was really no-one there in the long one. It's just pity they closed swimming pools in the evening around 7 pm. I love the view from my room 201, we could see the ocean and swimming pool. Room was quiet with a nice sound of the sea waves. Bed was really large and comfy and we loved spending time on our balcony in the evenings. Staff was really nice and you can order food and drinks which is deducted from your room deposit. Hotel also organized a snorkeling tour for us and helped us with good car rental. There was a nice party organized the day we arrived. Location is also good, just a short walk to all the restaurants and bars and a grocery store. There was not many tourists in June and we could rest and relax. We really enjoyed our stay..and we want to come back one day..

I wanted to treat my mom for her bday to a mini staycation and really enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast buffet for us was lovely, a variety. Dinner at the restaurant there was very limited but both pleased with the tastiness and filled us, the cocktails were lovely. Didn't get to go in the pools but did enjoy the whirlpool they had (though I think a bit much chlorine). In arriving, given welcome drinks that were lovelyyy. I loved the room we were in that got a bit of the road, view of the pool and a bit of the beach. Next time will try for full ocean/pool view. Expect mosquitos, somethings can only do so much but weren't biting us thankfully. I would stay here again and a bit longer.

Honestly Superb. I appreciated the staff and their attention to comfort. Views of the ocean are stunning with sun deck and restaurant overlooking. The choice of pools did not disappoint! The infinity pool for adults was divine. Buffet breakfast was off the charts wonderful considering I’m vegetarian. Thank you. I am returning this fall.

We enjoyed being so close to the beach and to restaurants. Property is well maintained and rooms are clean and well kept. Staff are very polite. We like that the property supplied beach towels as well. We found out from a server at the Tropical Mist that their hotel is "sisters" with Blue Haven and that we could have come over to use the pool etc.... We found that out at the end of our trip and would have been nice to know sooner.

The property was really nice better than expected. Quant and quiet. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was soft and the pillows were great. I love good pillows ! Nice decor and outside ambiance was beautiful. Walking distance to the beach and food but a pool would be nice. Enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio off the room. The staff is friendly and attentive. Check in process was simple and easy. Just a few miles from the airport. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed here again this year because we liked it last year - it really is a lovely little haven away from the bustle of the front on Dover beach - there’s still a little bit of music noise at the weekends, but much less than down at the beach, even though it’s only a 3 or 4 minute walk away, so it’s the Best of both worlds. Decor is light & airy & relaxing; the bed is very comfy, lots of wardrobe & drawers space- The kitchen facilities are great. Full size fridge and freezer combo, 4 ring cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle etc & plenty crockery glasses utensils etc. the king suites feel nice & airy and spacious - ours had a nice balcony with a (sideways) sea view, and looking over the cricket pitch across the road. The only slightly annoying thing is the cockerels sometimes crowing a bit long, but that is all over Barbados so not against the Blue Haven at all - it’s a great place to stay

This is my second stay at the apartments and I am not disappointed. If you are looking for a relax modern but without the fluff place this is it. Property is well kept. From the time I walked in I was welcomed by this wonderful young reception clerk. He was amazingly engaging and friendly. As I write this I can’t remember his name.The housekeeper Esther was wonderful. The lady in the office who also was super friendly. Don’t hesitate to book your stay. You will be comfortable relaxed and you can save a few dollars by making your own coffee or tea heck you can cook your own meal if you like because you have a stove and pots and pans too. Thank you Blue Haven, I am still a happy guest.

We loved our stay here. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were all fantastic. The room was very clean, the king size bed was suoer comfortable and the accommodations provided us for what we needed. We were able to cook meals there and eat outside on our balcony. We were also provided with tokens and laundry detergent so that we could do two loads of laundry on site. This location was a very close walk to the beach. The room rate was inexpensive for the week.The location is close to the Gap. I would book another stay here. The only thing that I would change are the pillows but I like very firm pillows. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so wonderful

I travel monthly and have stayed many places and this place is literally perfect. Let’s begin with the staff; Executive Level Customer Service…Helpful, Responsive, Kind, Patient…Amazing!!! The cleanliness of this property is pristine and I am quite particular… no one comes to my standard even the “5 ⭐️ All Inclusive” and The Melbourne Inn does! Everything you need is in the room, they will even do a load of laundry for $13 USD!!! The outside patio space with every room is a crazy super bonus. The location is perfect, easy breezy walk to the beach, local market and a plethora of food and drink options. The people everywhere are loving, courteous and helpful. Oh AND the pool, I didn’t even realize there was a pool and it is perfect…so so clean and refreshing. I will stay here every time I come to Barbados. I truly feel blessed like tha I found on my very first visit to Barbados the gem 💎 of hospitality…Melbourne Inn. I prefer smaller places as I don’t want to trek all over a property and take 10mins to get to the front door…this place is perfect, pristine clean and phenomenal customer service. Thank you so much for the perfect home away from home ❣️

I am staying at the Melbourne Inn for the second time and I love it here. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and remembers my name. My unit this time has a full kitchen with a stove and fridge so I can cook but they have many room options. One has it's own private gazebo. The Dover supermarket is around the corner and there are a ton of beaches and restaurants within walking distance. It is set off from the road though so it is generally quiet. The area is safe too and well lit at night. Each street light down the gap has a camera on it so crime is low or caught quickly. The best part for me is that I am a digital nomad and this is the best wifi I ever had. I work in my room and I can have multiple email, web pages, and documents open while having zoom meetings. They also have wifi at the pool area where I also sometimes work. I highly recommend the Melbourne Inn, at St Lawrence Gap, Barbados.

I highly recommend staying at Melbourne. Their customer service is exceptional. They take great care of their guests and make them feel like family. Every time I stay at Melbourne, my expectations are exceeded. I have been a guest at Melbourne since 2016, and it is the only place I trust to maintain consistency in cleanliness and customer service. The staff is excellently trained and handpicked by the owners. They truly understand the importance of customer service. I cannot express enough how much I adore this place; if there were a way to give them more than five stars, I would. Every time I visit, the pool area is like a sanctuary where I can escape and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. What's more, the lovely fragrance that they diffuse throughout the main areas is simply heavenly. It's so enticing that I wish they would bottle and sell it so that I could take it home with me. Situated at the quiet end of St Lawrence Gap, this economical hotel is just minutes stroll from the beach, restaurants and bars. The pool is small but pleasant and never crowded, there are sun loungers and also a fully covered area with tables and chairs (a boon for fair skinned sun-avoiders!). Our room had a kitchenette and everything we needed for our stay. Security was very good and staff were excellent (big shout out to Nicky who gave us inside info about where to park for the cricket match!). There was a small car park for our hire car. The bed was enormous and truly one of the most comfortable ever! This is not a posh hotel and doesn't have lovely views, but is small, friendly, comfortable and really good value for money.

This is a 3 star property and is value for money. If you want 4 or 5 star then you will pay much more for it. We had everything that we needed in the hotel room, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, and a huge comfy bed. There is air con and ceiling fan, and a balcony. The rooms were cleaned every other day but if you asked for clean towels they were available. In fact, if you asked for anything, the staff were really helpful and polite and did not disappoint. There is a brand new beautiful pool area, which we used daily, after the beach, and most of the time, we were the only people in it. Five minute safe walk to beach and bars.

Perfect location for Dover beach and the bars and restaurants. Clean and comfortable, nice pool area. Towels provided for both pool or beach.

I really enjoyed the fresh renovation and the pool is a good size with rooms that face out onto the pool. This was great for our kids to get up an get straight out to the water.

The hotel was located within walking distance to St Lawrence Gap, the beach is across the street, there is an on-site beautifully maintained pool, and the restaurant had a live band one night and a DJ on another, perfect way to end the day. The reception desk staff especially Danielle, Ms Leona from housekeeping and the security staff were all courteous, professional and helpful. I would definitely stay at Time Out again even as a solo traveler. One downside is that there is no elevator.

Staff customer service was excellent at front desk, housekeeping and maintenance ensured I had a wonderful stay. The Room, was clean and very comfortable. Lovely pool and great restaurant. Would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Southern Palms for 2 nights with my friend who was celebrating her birthday and we both had such a great time. From check in to check out was a great service. The room was clean on arrival. The only issue was the shower - when turned on it makes a constant ringing noise but it wasn’t too overbearing. We had breakfast included in our stay and the service in the restaurant was so good. There was a set menu for our breakfast-included stay, not a huge variety but still good. With that said, the restaurant staff were very accommodating to me. I don’t eat eggs and I was able to substitute that with something else and I really appreciated that. Service by the pool area by KEN was the best. He was very engaging and made sure me and my friend were all set for the day. He found us 2 pool chairs to use for the day and made sure we were comfortable. If you’re the type who likes to sit by the pool, I suggest waking up early and reserving the chairs. They’re all gone by 9am or so. He also set up lunch for us on the beach which was also very nice. The service was great and all the staff were amazing. I can’t remember everyone’s names but I must give a special thank you to Ken at the pool, Kelly(?) I think lol she’s the manager or supervisor by the restaurant, Shirley and Coreen who were our waitresses at breakfast and dinner and Jenni at the front desk. I highly recommend Southern Palms for your vacation/staycation. I look forward to returning here again!

Visited the Southern Palms hotel at the end of September, we had a brilliant holiday and are already looking to return to the hotel. We arrived at 12:30 and were shown to our room straight away which was great after a long flight. We had a Pool View room and although a bit basic it was very clean with a great bed and even better view from the Balcony. The pool area is very nice and relaxing, the only thing to comment on is people reserving loungers and then not using them for large parts of the day, a common problem not unique to this hotel but people really do treat those loungers as their own property and reserve them from 5am etc, ridiculous. Food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent and really good value, the staff also where very good and friendly. The hotel is the best situated in the gap, right on the best beach which is on your doorstep but also convenient for the local bars and restaurants. Already looking to return in 2027.

Hotel has a fantastic location on the white sands of Dover Beach. Rooms are clean, very large and had a great sea-view balcony. Furnishings getting somewhat dated and could do with a refresh but not a major concern. Great facilities with 2 pools which were never crowded and sun loungers also available on the beach. Breakfast buffet very good, although pricey if not booked as part of a package. The key thing that lets the hotel down is the slow and chaotic service in the bar/restaurant by the pool. It could take up to 30 minutes to get served and equally long to get the bill. Situation not helped by the fact that they were implementing a new billing system which either didn’t work or staff hadn’t been adequately trained as half the time they were hand writing bills. As a result we never bothered dining in the hotel at night and plenty of other good restaurants in St Lawrence Gap (recommend Mimosas, Harlequin and Primo). If management sort out the service ( which has been noted in several other reviews) this could easily warrant 5 stars.

We had an amazing stay at the Southern Palms Hotel. Our accommodation was spotless and comfortable, and the sea view from our room was absolutely stunning – so picturesque and relaxing. All of the staff were incredibly hard-working and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Johanna in the restaurant deserves a special mention – she’s exceptional, always smiling, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Michaela, who looked after us by the pool, was also fantastic. In fact, every single member of staff we met went above and beyond – we really can’t fault anyone. This was our first time staying here, but it certainly won’t be our last. We noticed that many of the guests we spoke to were returning visitors, which really speaks volumes about the hotel and the team. We’ll definitely be back in a couple of years!

Great pool, room has a bbq which we did not use this year but will next year 1 suggestion is a couple of umbrellas at the pool would be nice

Very nice staff - quiet place - nice big apartment green garden around the pool - you can use the bbq - hammock - floting animals for the pool - a good place to stay

All the staff were very nice and helpful, particularly Barbara who showed us the way to the pharmacy! The room was cleaned every day and the pool was very nice to enjoy after a day at the beach. The pool had a good railing which made it easy to get in and out of. The 3 local beaches are within walking distance and the local buses are about a 10 min walk. Easy, casual and relaxing spot!

Friendly staff, incredibly clean rooms, the apartment is within walking distance of amazing restaurants, clubs and beaches, with an amazing little coffee shop right next door. The apartments are simplistic but very comfortable with everything you need and lots of storage space (as 2 women travelling together this was a huge bonus). The pool is small but if you're not after anything extravagant then this is a fantastic option. The balconies are a great size and catch the sun all day. The Aircon is just brilliant. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Barbados on a budget. Would not recommend if you are looking for a place with lots of facilities for young children, but definitely for those who just want a relaxing getaway with plenty of night life

Excellent area. This hotel has everything you need, but will be even better after planned renovations to the room. There is even a barbecue at the pool and seating in shaded areas. There is a delicious Jamaican restaurant and a bakery and coffee shop on site. And Peter’s fruit and vegetable van is parked out front daily. It is a short walk to a public beach where lounge chairs and umbrellas can be rented.

This was literally the best hotel I have ever stayed at because of the staff! Everybody was super welcoming, accommodating, personal, friendly and helped out with any enquiries possible. We were a party of 5 and included 3 generations of our family so it was important that everybody felt comfortable and relaxed. Where could I start - with the warmest welcome to start with, concierge services that went way above and beyond of any help I have ever received (special thanks to Deniko!!!! he was amazing) to the beautiful rooms and the best oceanfront view I have ever seen (we had 2 bedroom oceanfront hotel room). The food was incredible - we literally couldn't wait for the breakfast to start to enjoy this hospitality (and really enjoyed chef making the omelettes on the go). The pools were great including a kids friendly pool and the ocean was incredible with some amazing trampolines in the water. The dinner had plenty of options and we enjoyed Cerulean restaurant so much that I even ordered same dishes a couple of nights in a row. Barmen were friendly and innovative mixing rum cocktails based on my favourite flavours (I ended up ordering many melon flavoured rum cocktails which were just delicious). Overall I can recommend this hotel to anybody who loves the beauty of Barbados and the hospitality. We have never been happier in one place and will always be grateful to the staff. Would return in a heartbeat!

The hotel is located on the beach .We had a beach front room. The views are outstanding .I love the way the hotel is arranged with water views from many angles . It had a separate adult pool area which was very quiet and serene. staff was very accommodating and the grounds were beautiful . The only negative was the food . Hotel should provide better choices. Most of the menu items at the restaurants were not good,

This resort is lovely, could do with a few tweaks but we would return. We were here for a family wedding with little notice and only for 3 nights (a long way for a short time from the UK). A very casual, Caribbean Island time feel, on the beach with the most beautiful backdrop ever. We had a Poolside room which was nice, 2 Queens and a patio area. Caribbean furnishings, bright and fresh. Daily housekeeping but they run really late, sometimes still there at 5pm when you might want to be back in the room freshening up for Champagne Hour. Kettle with coffee sachets provided and CoffeeMate in the fridge. Water bottles replenished or you could get from reception, from the self-service fridge which also had sandwiches. Typical of many resorts, dining areas are on rotation so with only 3 nights we did not manage to catch all. First night we ate at Mahogany which confuses me; they seem to have a buffet evening most nights but it is not extensive, but apparently fine dining on some nights. Nice coral decor, but very much a basic restaurant that lacks some atmosphere. The food was good, but I love a selection of different salads in small bowls or light offerings and these do not exist here. However, everything we tried from the dinner buffet was great and I like to try the local cuisine. Lobster tails one night were pretty good, possibly a tiny dry but it is a buffet with a station not a 5* restaurant. The curried fish and Bajan specialities have all been delicious.
