Amazing breakfast. A large buffet selection and a menu to choose from. All fresh and delicious. Courteous, friendly staff. The main pool is idyllic, situated right next to a forest. The surroundings are so serene and well landscaped. This will only get better as all the plants bed in. The room was great. The glass-walled toilet felt a little public but we worked around that! Plenty of room. Space to eat and to relax. And loads of storage. The design of the room, the main parts of the hotel, the pool area, the staff uniforms - all flawless. And the general ambience of the place was relaxed, unpretentious and informal. Hard to beat.

The whole place had a wow factor, with great building, poolside setup and lovely landscaping. Room was massive and felt like a mini villa. Amazing buffet breakfast with local produce, great pool and attentive staff.

This hotel is beyond great! We had a private 2 bedroom villa with our own pool. Everyone at this hotel are phenomenal. We were stuck in the town of Comporta after dinner one night because our taxi never came back for us, and ignored our texts. Anyway, the manager of the hotel came and picked us up in his own car. Such unbelievable service. The breakfast was perfect - eggs cooked to order, loads of pastries and excellent espresso. We had lunch there one day and dinner another night. Limited menu, but gourmet, delicious offerings. First class wine list. This hotel is a true find.

All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, whether on reception, in the dining room and housekeeping. The room was super, bed very comfortable with all the facilities one needed and the terrace overlooking the pine forest. Breakfast and dinner were great. The pool looks amazing a bit cool for the end of February but am sure it’s great once the weather is warmer. The property is all one needed to wind down after a hectic trip around Portugal.

We were a family of four with two rooms - the hotel made these adjoining so access with greatly improved as a family. The hotel has a great design fell and breakfast was very good. The pool area was peaceful and well maintained with lots of loungers. The hotel also has tennis and padel courts. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. The location was great for access to the beaches and villages of Comporta. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic, apartments right on the beach, modern and clean as new. All the amenities, perfect for the kids, we could eat at home or walk to the restaurants, pool or beach. Not a hotel though so housekeeping every other day and no breakfast. We wish we had stayed longer.

The apartment was clean, quiet and close to stores and restaurants. The facilities were well maintained and the pool was centrally located.

Du skal vælge Troia hvis du godt kan lide flotte strande. Der er ikke overfyldt af tourister og marinaen er hyggelig samt de enkelte butikker der er omkring. Der ligger også nogle gode restauranter på Troia. Minus er at det tager langtid at komme ind til Lissabon. (ca 2-3 timer), og man er lidt isoleret på Troia, selv om Sitobal også er et fint besøg værd. Poolen er ikke overrendt, nogle gange havde vi den for os selv. Selve lejligheden var fin indvendig, men terrassen trængte til maling og der kom vand ned fra lejlighederne oven overs Air condition.

Das Apartment war sehr groß, sauber und komplett eingerichtet. Alles hat funktioniert und es befindet sich direkt am Strand. Auch direkt zu Fuß erreichbar sind das Casino, verschiedene Restaurants und kleinere Läden sowie ein Supermarkt. Die Preise im Supermarkt sind teils höher als normal aber gerechtfertigt, wenn man bedenkt, dass die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten weit entfernt sind. Insgesamt fanden wir den Aufenthalt (außerhalb der Saison mit wenig Gästen) sehr angenehm. Der Strand ist sehr schön, besonders bei Ebbe mit den dann zu sehenden Sandbänken. Negativ an der Umgebung sind die Industrie und der große Hafen samt vorbeifahrender Frachtschiffe, sowie die kontinuierliche Bebauung der Halbinsel.

We had a beautiful time at Quinta da Comporta. We stayed in one of their 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath with private pool houses- it was magnificent. The hotel setting is beautiful, it sits on a rice field. We used their bikes ( beach is an easy ride) we used their beautiful spa (massage and body scrub were great. Pool at our house and in resort were heated! Breakfast was included and very good. Dinner was very good but menu is limited, however there are super restaurants on the beach and in town, nearby. ( sublime beach club and Cafe Comporta were awesome) .

Even though on the outskirts of the small village of Carvalhal, Quinta da Comporta is a remarkably tranquil and peaceful resort on the edge of a rice plantation. Whilst set back a kilometre from the beach it had a very coastal feel. The accommodation is stunning. Our two floor Villa had Terrace and balconies front and rear with an outlook over a sand covered coastal landscaped area with grasses and olive trees. The glass pool is unique and all the amenities and fittings selected, maintaining the rural and uncommercialised atmosphere. The staff are all young, enthusiastic and helpful. A special ‘shout out’ to the pool guys and Valet parking guys who all went beyond the call of duty Comporta is a very interesting area but one fears for how it will be in 5-10 years. It is certainly a lot more expensive than average Portugal. The only small disappointment was the beach. Due to limited access points ( to preserve the dunes) it was quite urbanised around the beach accesses. I was expecting miles of empty golden sand. However the beaches did not seem better than Algarve beaches which also enjoy miles of golden sand.

This hotel is amazing, the vibe feels like a special oasis in a beautiful desert. The outdoor pool is is magical as it looks in the photo, it also has an indoor pool and a really beautiful sauna too. The rooms are spacious and clean/new feeling, with really comfortable beds. The food is great, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Absolutely 10/10 of a hotel, we'll be back!

Ambience , beautiful bedrooms and restaurant and spa . Enjoyed the activities Pilates, bike tour and massage. The gardens and pool area are super relaxing and visually beautiful. Excellent staff especially the pool and front desk . Perfect location for the beautiful beaches and Comporta . Underground carpark was very handy . The onsite boutique is fab .

The pool with the rice field is wonderful. The gym and pool and spa are great. Great yoga & Pilates classes.

Independente Comporta is a lovely hotel, with beautifully furnished rooms and villas in a tranquil setting. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa which was perfect for a family of four. We had our own private pool which was amazing. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with every detail carefully considered, from the lovely products in the bathrooms to the towelling robes to wear by the pool. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious, and the staff were amazing: very professional, helpful and friendly. The local area is great, with a stunning beach 15 minutes away and fantastic restaurants in Comporta Village. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to return.

Wow what an amazing place. Breakfast bar on point, pool bar excellent, the whole resort is delicious, quiet, relaxing and great for a walk in the countryside. Wood fire oven by the pool for pizza. Excellent for couples. Beaches are not too far but need a car!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay! The staff was very welcoming, helpful and spoke English very well. The food was DELICIOUS. Both vegetarian options and meat/fish options were really incredible. Everything was super tasty, perfectly seasoned and sourced locally. The dishes were original and I've tried things I've never had before. The paired red wine from Alentejo called "vinha do moro" was a perfect match. The breakfast options à la carte were also super tasty! Loved it. Regarding the room and the location, it was so beautiful. This little village is lost in the middle of sand fields and trees and it's so calm. All the decorations/furnitures are from the Alentejo region, and it gives the place a super chilled vibe and a great atmosphere. Our experience at the spa was also magical. The massage that I had was tailored specifically for my needs and was one of the best ones that I've ever had. The massage therapist was an angel and we had a nice tea and some time alone at the SPA's indoor pool with my partner. Such a relaxing and lovely moment. We also took the electric bikes to the rice paddies and it was such a fun experience. Overall, I would recommend anyone to go to this place if they had the chance. We can't wait to come back ❤️. We had an amazing stay at Independente Comporta. I love the level of details from the architecture all the way to the decoration. It looks very authentic from the region. The food was amazingly good. Me and my partner are both vegetarian and during our trip through Portugal we very often had a hard time finding delicious vegetarian food. Here we had a large selection of local food that non of us had ever eaten. The local meat dishes also looked very delicious. The massage and relaxing in the Spa was really nice experience and worth the money. I do recommend a little drive with the electric bicycles. It was super fun. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall an amazing stay, will come back soon.

One of the most service oriented hotels in the region. Beautiful setting with a peaceful but cool vibe. Food was excellent. Staff was very attentive and friendly, and quick to respond to any request or problem (we had a small problem with the AC and they dealt with it immediately). Very comfortable and beautiful rooms. It was a real treat to discover this hotel. We had a superb stay and would definitely go back next time we stay in the Alentejo/Comporta region.

Tiny little house that contains everything that is needed for a shorter or a longer stay: fridge, coffee machine, stove, dishwasher, comfy big shover, big comfy bed, a little living room.

From the first encounter with the staff at check-in, our experience at Spatia Comporta was nothing short of wonderful! Ana and her staff are some of the most welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating personnel I have had the pleasure to know. They upgraded our room to a cabana which was a wonderful surprise! Little touches like a cheeseboard, bottle of champagne and slice of cake at check-in in celebration of my husband's birthday, a minibar whose contents are offered at no charge and a private firepit with marshmallows in the evening make guests at Spatia feel special and appreciated. Ana was always responsive and helpful in providing restaurant and beach suggestions and accommodated a late check out for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing, calming beach vibe of the resort. The pools are gorgeous and they offer bikes and tennis and pickleball equipment for guests' use. We will enthusiastically recommend Spatia Comporta to our friends and hope to return someday soon.

This place is a true gem. Beautiful scenery in the middle of the woods, nice rooms, very kind staff. The breakfast is, I would say, whatever I could wish for. Great variety and freshness. The pool at Colmo is huge. What I noticed is that the part that was build first somehow lags behind. I could feel it even from the lights during the night. We have stayed in the older part at it was darker and somehow maybe less attention to details then in the new part. Otherwise, we had great 3 days here and we would come back anytime!

However, it is my humble suggestion that the hotel could enhance its offerings by incorporating additional amenities such as a spa, gym facilities, and a variety of restaurants to cater to the diverse preferences of its esteemed guests.

Absolutely beautiful property. We travel a lot and were blown away. Should be 5 *( Insane that it’s not. Landscape and natural setting is very special. Pool may be the nicest I’ve ever seen. Staff is committed to your happiness and seem to really love what they do. Management truly understands what hospitality means. Beautiful location in Comporta. Ticks all boxes for facilities - spacious rooms, nice terrace, pool, tennis courts etc but the place has no soul. Serving staff are really friendly and helpful but no management interest other than trying to get us into signing up for an overpriced “special dinner”. I got the feel that guests are a sideline to the main purpose of selling their expensive (2.5 - 3 million €) villas

The house was spacious, had a lovely games room in the attic and a generous-size pool that was very well kept. Houses in the Herdade are far appart enough that you can relax in quiet privacy. Even though there was a hickup in the booking of the hour of the mid week cleaning, which was very disruptive, you can tell that staff is genuinely doing their best, despite overwhelmed.

Amazing location, the villa was super calm and private despite being surrounded by so many other villas. The surrounding forest and beach are just stunning and in September almost empty. The villa with the private pool was perfect since we were traveling with a baby.

The villa was a perfect fit for a family of 5. 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and very clean. The pool was a great size and it was good to have the larger pools to go to aswell. The walk to the beach was fantastic and there was no one on the beach ever, it was beautiful white sands and empty. The area was quiet, clean, well spaced out and thought about. The main pool at the clubhouse is the best larger pool. A good size, also an indoor pool as the outdoor pool isn't heated. Pool table inside for people to play on and wifi.

Tolle Unterkunft - offen, hell und mit guter zimmeraufteilung. Terasse mit Sonnenuntergang :) Kurzer Weg zum Pool. Einzig die Ausstattung: kein Spülmittel, Spültuch, Geschirrspüler-Tabs, Kaffee - alles Kleinigkeiten, aber diese runden eine tolle Unterkunft ab. Auch die Instandhaltung der Sonnenschirme und Dusche am Pool ist zu verbessern.

The beach was absolutely stunning! There were 3 gorgeous outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools. We enjoyed the football pitch, the tennis courts and the bike hire. Nearby Comporta had some lovely restaurants.

Decent hotel facilities, but still relatively basic. Quite expensive for what you got. What was good: - Location from town - Staff were lovely - Bed was comfy Could be improved: - Room was quite noisy, we could hear dogs barking, kids screaming etc - We had a pool suite, it was ok, but not worth the extra cost as we couldn't keep doors open due to proximity to pool area - Pool was very small, not big enough to do mini laps

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of Comporta. Stayed only one night but wish I could have stayed longer. Beautiful pool area in fact everything was beautiful - the rooms, the pool, the lobby and the cafe plus a great rooftop bar. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Sylvia who is a lovely lady and took the time to show me Comporta from the hotel rooftop and gave me interesting information about the village and its history. Very tasteful and stylish decor. Delicious and varied breakfast also. Will definitely return.

Great location in the centre of Comporta. Brief walk to shops and restaurants. Very recently renovated with a quiet pool area and rooftop bar, serving cocktails and good snacks and tapas style food. Would recommend the Ceviche and also the sardine fillets on brioche as a mid afternoon snack. Breakfast is small but has the nice addition of some cooked to order items as well as the continental breakfast. Staff were very accommodating and polite. We were upgraded to a pool suite on arrival. Would definitely recommend and will return again soon.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is new, clean and the interior design is really beautiful. Our room even if small was comfortable and equipped with all amenities . Pool area is big and comfortable and there is also a rooftop bar/terrace. Breakfast is excellent and the service is exceptional, we got a card on each day of our stay with a little treat. We really recommend Almalusa and we will be back for sure

First time here. Very clean and spacious. Very professionals and dedicated stuff. Pool is nice and warm which at times is needed. How to do some work stuff and they let us use their printers and scan it back to our customers. In the perfect place which is in walking distance to everything. They recommend everything we needed. The views are also amazing It’s easy to find.

We had an awsome time at this resort. I was very relaxing. All staff, especially Jessica, Jason, and Rosalinda at the pool entertainment and drinkswe enjoyed the resteraunts and many staff members. Jessy at the pool made me stretch and kept us entertained which was fun. Jason and Rosalinda served well and treated us with great respect. Laura Pat at the Members Bar was a blast . Thanks for the great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for one week, the room is a good size, bathroom ok also, shower and towel fitting a bit high. Aircon ok, WIFI good, I had no problems. The Breakfast room/Bar is very modern and Breakfast is excellent, normal continental with a small hot selection and the coffee is good. By far the main asset to this hotel are the staff, the receptionists are always friendly and helpful at any time of day, this friendly and helpful manner extends to the ladies at breakfast and to housekeeping. The location to the town is ideal, restaurants are near by, there is a lovely pasteleria B (cake Shop) 10 yards from the front door where the selection is very good and the staff are very nice. The beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk and also the catamaran to Troia where you can visit a large beach, get boats for dolphin watching and some visit Roman ruins.

My wife and I arrived tired and a little stressed in Setubal and in much need of some relaxation. From the 1st moment we walked through the door with our daughter we were looked after by Osvaldo, Rute and the team like family. Honestly the staff are super and a credit to the hotel and their city! So kind and helpful and always available to warm our daughters milk, they also kindly arranged her birthday cake. The hotel is on a beautiful square and with hanging baskets outside each window, only a short walk from some excellent places to eat, the harbour and the town beach and a 10 minute walk from the ferry quay where you can reach Troia. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was nice enough too, overall a wonderful stay, we look forward to returning in the future. Thanks to all the team at Solaris for making our 8 night stay so very nice.

A simple but well run and very comfortable hotel more or less in the city centre. Spotlessly clean ; easy and free parking right in front of the hotel ; lovely and helpful staff ; excellent breakfast choice and quality ; and ( literally ! ) five minutes walk from a bunch of reasonably good but inexpensive restaurants. A problem with the lock on our bedroom door was solved within a few minutes even though it was Sunday afternoon. Terrific value for money and we wouldn't hesitate, not for a second, to go back there next time we're in Setubal.

Lovely hotel with warm friendly atmosphere. Staff could not do enough for us and made our stay really enjoyable. Had a large room with balcony overlooking small park at front. Everywhere immaculately clean. Fresh towels every day. Breakfast lady baked lovely cakes every day and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely go back, which for us to say is quite unusual. Good value for money. Free parking at front, safe and hassle free. Thanks also to Reception team who helped my husband with local scuba arrangements in Portinho da Arrabidas.

The staff were always available and helpful. The hotel is clean and we enjoyed our stay. It is nice to have breakfast downstairs and dinner downstairs as an option, thank you so much. My one comment or suggestions. could you have a staff person park the car in your parking garage. There is so many parking spaces in your hotel but difficult to get into due to the width of the driveway. I had to park two blocks away one night, which the area is safe but it would be nice to have your car when you want the car in front or in the garage. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The service was on a high level. We were well received and all care was provided. The room was clean, well conditioned and silence surrounded us. The breakfast containt a large variety of food of all choices. Well served with the service at the table if needed. The hotel has a parking, however with our car couldn't fit )it fits small i.e. Fiat 500, BMW X1, Mini, etc).

Nice and good hotel in Setúbal. Been staying there for 3 nights. Very good breakfast buffet, offering fresh fruits, a variety of bread, all kinds of coffee, sweet Portuguese delights, etc. However, the city centre is a 15 mins walk away. Staff is super friendly, can surely recommend this place when staying in Setubal. Gym was under renovation when I stayed there. But nevertheless 5/5!

The area were the hotel was and the staff were really friendly, helpful professional. They couldn't do enough for us. They were amazing. The food was good. The room was clean. Nice size room. I needed my dress ironed for a family wedding. I was attending they ironed it. It was amazing. It was stress-free.

I stayed at Hotel Crstal so I could meet up with family now living in Setubal. The hotel was stylish, comfortable and clean and very welcoming. I had a lovely quiet room with a suberb bathroom and a balcony. Breakfast offerred so much delicious choice! Thank you - I hope to be back.

Very friendly helpful staff at reception ( particularly Anna and Beatrice - but in fairness all staff we met were super ). There was a warmth and a genuine desire to make our stay pleasant from the start. Pool is lovely, everything spotless and working, lovely fresh smell in hotel, breakfasts (fruit beautiful) were excellent! Even had spirulina / matcha every type of seed. Pool towels replaced every day and fluffy and new!

the facilities. The room, breakfast and pool setting were beyond my expectations and fantastic value for money. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool, albeit not very big, was an absolute godsend in these past days, over 30 degrees.

Fantastic Stay in a Prime Location This property is in an excellent spot—just a 3-minute drive to the town centre, and the shopping mall is a short stroll away (only 5 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by car). 🍽️ Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of both continental options and hearty cooked dishes. Although we didn’t dine in for dinner, the buffet looked beautifully arranged and offered a tempting selection of mains and desserts. 🛏️ Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, perfect for relaxing. 🚗 Getting around was easy. The property is about a 30-minute drive from the airport; we took an Uber for £35, which was reasonable. 🌴 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a chance to explore the surrounding area. Whether you’re stopping over or planning a longer visit, I’d highly recommend this place for its convenience, comfort, and excellent amenities.

Great location just 30min from the airport on route to the Algarve. Great breakfast. Lovely pool and very nice staff. Also has electric chargers for cars.

We attended the Setubal Live Score Film Festival, and this hotel was within walking distance of both of the film venues and the train station. It’s also just across the street from a park filled with whimsical statues, as well as the town’s soccer stadium. The a la carte dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was quite good, and the breakfast buffet was satisfying. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the indoor pool, but the water temperature and cleanliness of the whole spa area made for a relaxing and enjoyable swim. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the park. The bed could have been a little softer though.

Stayed for a week with friends visiting wineries in the area. Although the hotel was busy with coach parties for much of that time, the staff were cheerful and helpful. The bar/restaurant staff in the evening made sure we were well looked after and gave lots of advice on local wines and restaurants. We found the meals in the restaurant to be good value for money and delicious. There were a couple of minor housekeeping issues - but nothing which would spoil anyone's stay, and these were obviously because the housekeeping staff were very busy. The buffet breakfast was amazing and kept us going until late afternoon. Thank you for a lovely experience!

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at over many years in Europe. My opinion is not because of a spectacular setting or historic site but a very nice hotel only a short walk to the centre of town and right beside a park. The centre of town was surprising as it was very nice and vibrant. Our room was extremely large, there was a third bed we did no need. Tons of amenities like toothbrush…. Very clean and bright. A good breakfast with lots of choice. They helped store our bike for us. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Really good experience, great facilities all around, great care and attention by the staff members. Booked it the day before my wedding, staff said yes to every single one of our requests. Breakfeast was really good too. Really clean all around, couldn’t have asked for more, will definitely be returning.

Everything was amazing! I highly recommend Sublime Comporta the beautiful cabanas with private pool and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner with delicious selection of sustainable food. Unfortunately the beach club was booked for a private event but they recommended another beach club which was great. I can highly recommend the yoga class in the newly build facility with view into the garden.

The setting is magical, surrounded by forest but not far from the sea. The accomodation is a series of cabin-like rooms a short walk into the main lobby/restaurant area. There is a desk & bar area & plenty of cupboard space. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, and the deck & the views to the gardens outside very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, including a fully labelled herb and vegetable garden. There are 2 pool areas, one for kids which is also a great idea. Transport can be arranged by golf cart to and from the restaurant but we enjoyed the walk. The breakfast was excellent, huge range of choices, and the dinners too, although it was pretty pricey. There is a separate spa centre and its a 10 minute drive into Comporta.

Beautiful design and a very comfortable place to relax. Was lovely being amongst the trees and one of the best hotel gyms we’ve ever had. Loved the gym kit complimentary washing service. Fantastic pillow menu. All the food we had was excellent and very high quality. The outdoor infinity pool was beautiful as was the firepit area.

I had a wonderful time staying here. The view for the breakfast buffet is amazing. I also enjoyed the cultural center across the street where I was able to see a play for 10 euros then walk over and have a nice dinner. The room was clean and modern and restful. The staff were excellent with everything I could possibly need. I will absolutely come back in the future.

Excellent location all within walking distance. Our room was more than expected with very comfortable bed, the breakfast is a must, nice variety of meats, eggs and all the fresh fruits and more….the dining area was on top floor with view of the city and harbour. During our stay, the employees that we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful staff, special mention to Fatima on reception & young Luckas (plus the lady in the restaurant check in for breakfast) Great choice for breakfast with good coffee. Just a few minutes walk to the ferry to Comporta. Great value for money, spotlessly clean, we will certainly book again next time we are in the region!

Very pleased with our choice. Well located hotel, exceptional staff, amazing breakfast with a beautiful view. We booked three rooms including two suites for the families with children. The rooms were large and clean with nice bathrooms. Highly recommend.

It is a beautiful property in the perfect historic part of Setubal. It is well organized, and I had a room on the very top floor with spec spectacular views of the Park.

The location and the apartment in general were very good. It had everything we needed and it was very comfortable

We were surprised by the spacious apartment and stunning view of the marina. It was also very clean and we appreciated the included parking spot in the garage, as it is generally difficult to find a parking spot is the streets nearby as it is always full.
