Everything is beautifully maintained, with palm trees, pools, and lush greenery all around. It really feels like you're in a postcard! 🏨 Our room was excellent – spacious, clean, and with a lovely view of the pool surrounded by palm trees. 🙌 The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. 🍽️ Food and drinks were totally fine – we especially enjoyed the breakfast (and even had live piano music in the mornings 🎹!). 🎂 They surprised us with a little cake and bubbly on a birthday – such a thoughtful touch! 🪑 There are several restaurants: one à la carte, and one with buffet options. We liked the à la carte one better – you can sit outside on the terrace with no buffet crowds. 💆‍♀️ We didn’t try the SPA, but everything else was great. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend AP Lago Montargil Conference & Spa for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. P.S. I believe complaints usually start in high season when it gets too busy – the staff seemed to manage well during our stay in mid-June.

We hired a villa for 4 nights in April for two adults and two young children (age 9 and 7). We just wanted to relax and explore the local area - the town of Évora and the surrounding countryside, including the cork oaks and ancient olive trees. Apparently it’s really hot in summer (35-40C)… even in April it was peaking in the mid 20s C. The villa was very spacious, with two good-sized bedrooms, and well-equipped, including a kitchen. The outside area was private, good for relaxing by the pool with views of the countryside. Our children loved the farm and the kids’ play area. There were lots of tame animals for petting - goats, sheep and a pony. The kids’ club was well organised and our children enjoyed some the activities - pottery and pizza making. We chose the hotel because it had an indoor pool (the outdoor pools are too cold in April!) Pool was a bit small but did the job - we went every day. Restaurant food (including the breakfast buffet) and service were generally quite good, especially the grill menu, but the bar and restaurant lacked a bit of ambience. Possibly the wine could’ve been more free flowing! The local old railway line is a great spot for cycling and running. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would recommend the hotel - fairly good value for money and something different from the Algarve!

We had the most amazing time at Octant Évora. Thank you!! We were travelling with our 1 year old daughter and this is the first truly family friendly hotel we have ever been to. There were toys and play areas everywhere. Small details like microwaves, bottle warmers etc. baby monitors. Everything was made so easy. The hotel itself is lovely and feels very luxurious. There is one pool for kids and three separate adult only pools which are beautiful. We left our daughter napping and enjoyed spending time in the adult pools which are small and intimate - we mostly had a pool to ourselves which was amazing. The hotel has great grounds, animals you can meet and a lovely lake walk. Staff were super friendly, helpful and generally brilliant. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with young families, but anyone could have a nice time here

Everything. From the moment we stepped in the hotel, to meeting the staff, the Christmas dining service, the general atmosphere of the hotel and even the guests, the services like the fitness room, pool, sauna and massage treatments - we LOVED. The rooms are so spacious and a great size to chill out in. Bathroom, all good. Outdoor mini plunge pools with the seating area, lovely way to relax with a book. The farm - adorable. Loved going to see the goats and pigs every day. We did an activity booked through the hotel of the horse ride which was also lovely too.

We loved the surprise element of it. The photos and description gave very positive expectations, and we must say that immediately it exceeded our expectations. The place is beautiful, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the food in the restaurant is excellent and the facilities offer all the relaxation you need. It was so fine to be there we didn't even leave the facilities to explore the surroundings outside, as it has its own hiking paths in nature, including contemplation pools to enjoy beautiful sunsets and the stars at night. Definitely recommendable!

So fresh, such clean linens, rooms, bath etc Fantastic bonus pillow choice service. Very thigh full bowl of fruit and little handwritten note of welcome ( nice touch) an even better touch was the ice cold scented hand-towel 👌🏻 Food is top notch in quality, quantity ( generous) and great variety … ( whether dinner or breakfast) Freshest! We stayed here in February 2023 for four nights. On arrival we had to call the owner to get access. He and the rest of the staff was very friendly. The room was like on the pictures. The AC could be used to heat the room and bath room (with hair dryer). We also had a small terrace with access to the common pool and a view into the valley with its sheep. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

We arrived early so nobody was there to receive us, but there was a fridge with cold drinks and snacks inside with an honesty box. The pool was good, even though it was early in the season we still made good use of it. The breakfast was exceptional and plenty of it! Nelson was attentive, polite and looked after us.

Perfect place for some days of relax. The view over Monsaraz and the pool are just perfect. I also loved all the animals that live in the farm. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.

Dark Sky location, friendly and accommodating host, delightful breakfast with some items available 24 hours, refreshing pool and lots of animals around the property.

Great place, very well-located (less than 10m by car from Monsaraz and Alqueva fluvial beach). The bedroom was great, very comfortable and super clean. The jacuzzi and the sofa outside were a plus, very pleasant to read and rest or eat a light snack (there is also a small fridge and microwave inside). Having a pool was also nice to refresh!

A warm nest to stay for a visit to Monsaraz and wide environment. Easy to find, allowing the discovery of the beautiful views on lake and fortress town. Ideal for families with children as they can enjoy the animals and the swimming pool setting. Good breakfast, served as from 830. Parking spaces were covered against the sun. Perfect hosts Suzanna and Vasco, help with whatever you need, watersports, restaurants, etc. Almost perfect darkness in the room.

We stayed two nights in a Sky Suite which was spacious and comfortable, but could do with a little spruce up to bring it back to a five star standard. The whole suite was a little dark and the bathroom got quite cold in the evenings as there does not seem to be heating in there. We enjoyed a bit of stargazing through the skylight, and though we went in January, it was warm enough to use the outdoor plunge pool in the suite - just be warned that it takes ages to fill! As expected, the food and wine were excellent - breakfast was generous and of a high standard, there's a complimentary wine and nibbles hour at 4pm, and if you're not eating at the main restaurant the bar does serve some light meals. However, the tasting menus at the Michelin-star restaurant are a must-try; the food and service were fantastic.

Amazing place to have a retreat or a short offsite with your colleagues! The whole place, the villas, and the rooms were comfortable, spacious, and very beautiful. The room service was very nice - we asked for wine to be delivered to our villa and for the fireplace to be fired - and everything was done immediately. There is a beautiful lake and a huge pool outside and pools of decent size for every villa. Also, there is a SPA with a pool and different saunas. Make sure to book more than one night there to use all the services and offers!

L'AND Vineyards was a beautiful place, with excellent wine and great service. It's about an hour's easy drive from Lisbon airport, although the turn-off to their side road is a bit difficult to spot at night, and we had to make a U-turn to get to it. The "service entrance" is actually easier to find and works just as well, delivering you to the front entrance after passing the staff quarters and parking. The staff, by the way, were wonderful, quick to respond to every request and very polite and conscientious throughout our stay. The property itself is gorgeous, well-designed with mid-century modern furniture and decor and naturally beautiful landscaping and grape vines outside. The man-made lake was low on water when we were there, so we could see the black lining, but apart from that the views were beautiful. The whole place is very quiet and serene, which was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend away. We didn't try the spa, but the indoor pool and sauna were very nice, and we had little competition for them, so they felt almost private. The enormous bathtub in our suite was also great. There's no gym, but doing laps in the pool and some yoga in our enormous suite took care of our fitness needs. And the food and wine were excellent as well - the food as you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the wine was almost shockingly good given the low price.

Beautiful hotel in a green haven. It is perfect for a lazy escape as it is in a village outside lisbon with not much to do. The pools are both lovely, the staff are amazing, the food is well priced and taste good. The Jaccuzi wasn not working during our visit, so that was a bit disappointing as every room has a private one located in front. The fireplace is a brilliant idea. The reception area, restaurant and public areas are well kept. The spa is AMAZING, we had a couple of treatment that were perfect. Thanks to Maria & Alexandra. The downside is we had to change rooms as bathroom in the 1st one had a bad sewer smell. Great for fitness junkies like myself. Free use of the bikes and the hills will test your endurance. tennis court on site and a jog around the grounds of the hotel taking in the scenery is lovely. Will definitely visit again. About an hour drive from lisbon airport, so not a cheap taxi ride.

Excellent location, only 5 minutes drive from the village. Very peaceful and quiet. Plenty to do in the house, swimming pool, tennis court, goals to play football and snooker table. Plenty of pots to cook or you have dozens of restaurants within driving distance and some of them do takeaway. Massive rooms throughout the house, big beds and 2 bathrooms so no queuing. The staff was super friendly and helpful, a special thanks to Teresa for helping us with our requests. Will definitely be going back.

We met with the hosts as they are also Talha wine producers and own one of the Adegas. They are extremely friendly and available, and you immediately feel like you belong there. The property is a lovely place to wake up at, and to enjoy a nice breakfast (BYOBr) on the huge balcony.

We loved our stay here - a one night get away from our 2 year old who we left with the grandparents. Though once we arrived I had wished he was with us, as there was such an incredible kids program on offer. Even though the place is clearly very kid/family friendly, it still has a beautiful inviting grown up feel, definitely something for everyone. The food was good, the indoor pool lovely, the grounds are peaceful. We'd consider coming back for a proper family holiday in the future.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast had tons of options and there was always space around the pools to relax. We visited between stops in Porto and Lisbon and enjoyed the slow pace and tranquility offered. The staff was also kind and rooms were clean.

Amazing hotel, with excellent service and food! You can easily spend 4 days over there and not get bored. The new area for an evening stroll close to the lake is something special! The heated pool facing the countryside was magical at nightfall!

Incredible service, grounds, food and ambiance. We loved basking in the sun overlooking the fields at the adult pools on the far side of the hotel.

Huge, comfortable bed with the most amazing view - we left curtains open to see starry sky and blue moon at night and wonderful sunrise! Plenty of kitchen/dining equipment to cook in. Lovely pool to cool off in the extremely hot weather! Jacuzzi was great, but we only used a couple of times, as weather too hot! Would recommend to everyone, as idyllic!

The hosts are amazing, super friendly and welcoming. The house is stunning! The views are stunning! Very comfortable and well equipped. The pool was great specially on a 36 degree weather. I loved everything about this little oásis. Baby/child friendly, which we appreciated a lot. We recommend it to everyone.

This place is beautiful. The rooms were compact yet had everything one needs. A peaceful pool with a patio and pool to sit back and enjoy a few serene moments. Breakfast was above and beyond outstanding. We ate dinner there and it was amazing with very attentive yet not stuffy service.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mourasuites, and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was nothing short of outstanding. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and well looked after. The rooms were beautifully appointed spotlessly clean, stylish, and thoughtfully equipped with all the modern conveniences you’d expect from a top-tier hotel. We had USB-A and USB-C charging points, a great coffee machine, a fantastic rain shower, and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The setting of Mourasuites is equally impressive. Tucked into a picturesque town, the ambiance is peaceful and charming. Waking up to the gentle sound of church bells in the morning felt like something out of a storybook. The small, serene pool in the central courtyard added an extra layer of calm and relaxation to our stay. Breakfast each morning was a highlight elegantly presented, with real attention to detail and quality. It was clear that great care went into making it a special experience. Although this may be a small-town hotel, it rivals many of the best we’ve stayed in around the world. Mourasuites is a true gem, and we’ll absolutely be back.

Mourasuites is a delightful little hotel! It has a very cosy lobby and although the hotel is small they operate a restaurant within it! And likely because of that, the breakfast is simply AMAZING! A fantastic cold spread of hams, cheeses, pastries, and fruit. They even had chestnuts! And it doesn’t stop there! They also allow guests to order a hot freshly cooked breakfast item - omelette, eggs, bacon, pancakes or French toast! It was simply the best and most impressive breakfast we had on our 2 week trip in Portugal. We had a ground floor room one of a few that surround the small swimming pool. The room was extremely tiny, although it was spotlessly clean and had everything that is needed including bathrobes and slippers. If it was a tiny bit larger it would be perfect! Still it was very very good and we really enjoyed our 1 night stay. We should also give a shout out to the reception staff who are both friendly and helpful.

MouraSuites had a really relaxed, luxurious and friendly feel to it - really enjoyed our stay. It is located in the old town of Evora an east walk to all the attractions yet very quiet and peaceful. There’s reserved spaces to park while you drop off your bags and gated parking is 200 metres further down the road. Ana on reception was kind and efficient, our room overlooked the pool and was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - Loarna was excellent and provided local information on Evora too. Finally Evora is a great place to visit and explore. An excellent hotel and would stay again.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We like Estremos for it's choice of restaurants and this hotel is within easy walk into town. It's also within the castle walls. This trip we managed to get a twin room in the main block (they have garden blocks too), all accessible to the pool. Rooms are very spacious, large twin beds, (still a bit firm for me) , WiFi speed good enough for streaming and we requested a walk-in shower. The TV had many English channels. Breakfast was more continental style in a very decorative sunny room that opens out to the pool and gardens. There's plenty of secure parking on site. As it was raining, we decided to eat in and the main dining room had a good menu and quality was very good and tasty. Great value for money.

The pool and garden are an oasis in Estremoz and we always spend time relaxing in the poolside garden when we visit for the Saturday market. The location and and parking are ideal. The breakfast room is lovely and the food is good.

Nice neutral cosy deco; very comfy bed/pillows; soft bed linen and towels; nice toiletries; slippers and robes provided; always a plus to have mini fridge in a room. Very good breakfast. Beautiful outdoor area and pool. Shame it was too cold to fully enjoy. But we will be back. The front parking had no space, but there is huge parking at the back of the hotel, which was perfect! Great place to stay if you wish to explore the town.

Charming hotel with a great pool and large, pretty gardens. Perfect for Alentejo summer. Rooms were large and beds comfortable. We had a lovely little garden terrace outside our room. The air conditioning was also really quiet, which is always a bonus. The breakfast is also very good. It is on the edge of town, so plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Underrated hotel in the heart of Estremoz. The rooms are very comfortable and feature a stunning oval window. Everything is well cleaned. The blackout curtain blocks most of the sunlight, but a clip is needed for full coverage. There’s a nice pool and a pleasant outdoor dining area.

This is a wonderful place to stay with a lovely warm pool set in an attractive garden. It was really relaxing and tiny Alvito has a welcoming kiosk which serves drinks in the main square. We had a delicious dinner in the courtyard as swallows swooped overhead in the blue sky. We liked all the local produce and Alentejan specialities - and the wine was good and very reasonable. We'd definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful building and property. Exactly like the pictures. We were there on a rainy day, so unfortunately could not use the pool. However our rooms were absolutely grand and perfect. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed on premises for dinner and it was great, the included breakfast was delicious as well. We walked down the street to the one local restaurant and enjoyed a true local Portuguese meal.

The Receptionist was lovely. Most helpful in discussing many general things including identifying the local industry and life in Portugal. Location offers free parking close to entrance. Elevator available to room levels. The bedroom was MOST LOVELY, bedding amazing comfort. Period furnishings, wall decor and opererable windows with period encasements. Felt like a princess. Did not take opportunity but viewed lovely period gardens and pool.

It was an incredible castle - beautifully converted to a very comfortable hotel. Large air conditioned room with extra large bed. Swimming pool in shaded gardens. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place, Herdade Ribeira it is. Very nice house, comfortable, tastefully furnished and clean. The communication via phone or text message is working great, breakfast with fresh products is delivered in the morning around 9:30 - you can choose the day before from a menu. We spent three nights and left the house only for swimming in the pool and one trip to Evora.

Idyllic! We loved our two-night stay in one of the Domes, surrounded by wildflowers and wildlife - including nightingales! Breakfast (and dinner) was delicious. The stylish swimming pool was an added bonus. Thank you to the team at Herdade Ribeira de Borba for your friendly welcome.

Breakfast was good but after 10 days was a bit monotonous. Delivered at 9 am each day which was good time for us. Lovely location. Nice house, nicely decorated, comfy beds. We love this region of Portugal which is very authentic. The hotel is built on an old Quinta of traditional farm surrounded with of grazing pastures and almond orchards. The traditional architectural style of the Alentejo has long low buildings with characteristic high chimneys. Lodge Monte Do Sobral, is a good example of repurposed traditional architecture. it is one of the best ways to preserve portugal’s heritage buildings as well as it’s lifestyle. We appreciated our host’s and her staff’s welcome, the casual comfort of the place and the traditional breakfast.

USB charging ports (even by the bed), Smeg kettles and fridges in the rooms, plus the rooftop pool and bar are details that I did not expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. Crabtree & Evelyn bath amenities were a nice touch, as were the thick white towels. Staff were all excellent and went the extra mile. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, including a station for omelettes and fried eggs. Happy Hour at the pool bar featured a different thing every night, i.e. gin. This place is terrific. I would stay here again.

Superb hotel ! Looks brand new and the room had a very nice modern look to it and was spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice top floor bar/pool/lounging area, too bad is was getting a little cool outside to really enjoy the nice pool (mid September). Nice restaurant attached to the Hotel and breakfast available for a reasonable fee was very nice. Parking outside was plentiful when we were there and included in the price. 5 minutes of walking and you enter the old Evora historic area with tons of dining and sight seeing options. 5* experience ! Loved it ! Thanks!

The Hilton Garden Inn Evora was conveniently located within walking distance to a number of Central Historical District attractions. Uber was also easily obtainable and extremely reasonable, so we left our car parked in the hotel's protected, underground space throughout our entire stay. We appreciated an early check-in after our drive from Estoril, the hotel staff was wonderful and the breakfasts were hearty. Their rooftop bar was a very pleasant space in which to enjoy some drinks, and even dinner one evening in the hotel's restaurant was surprisingly excellent. If the weather had been better, then a dip in the rooftop pool would have been delightful.

This is our go to hotel property in Evora. We like the layout of the rooms; the physical location of the hotel is great for easy walking access to the town. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have found that breakfast is consistently delicious with made to order eggs and a wide variety of meats and cheeses. Would also recommend the pool and rooftop bar as great places to relax.

A really nice hotel very close to the old town entrance. Very modern and a great staff. Fabio the desk clerk was great and took really good care of us. Nice gym, pool, and other facilities. The room was also very good, overall the place to stay to explore the old town of Evora.

Such a lovely apartment in a peaceful environment! Margit and Felipe were delightful hosts. We really appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen. Location is perfect for exploring the cave, megaliths, cowbell manufacturing facility, and more. It was so nice to have a beautiful, quiet place to return to after a busy day. It would be easy to spend a week here.

More than a beautiful location and perfect accommodation, it was the little extras. Homemade marmalade, and fresh local bread every morning. We were met with such friendly welcoming, it was like coming home!

Located in a rural area, it is a calm and very restful place The room was comfortable and the hosts were very friendly. Fresh bread and tasty home made marmalade provided.

Location, spacious, comfortable, nice vibe.

We loved that there are 2 bathrooms! The master bedroom on the top floor has an en-suite bathroom so that is a real plus for us. The double bed was very comfortable and, since there are 3 bedrooms, we could use all the pillows, not just for sleeping, but for making the sofa and seats even more comfortable. Excellent WiFi and kitchenware in the sitting area. EXCELLENT parking available in the small streets!

The property was a bit challenging to get to. We were driving and there are narrow one-way streets in the area. When we did finally locate the apartment, it was fine. The location was good as there were plenty of good restaurants nearby and we were able to easily walk to get around. The apartment itself was very nice. Also the host was very responsive.
