Fantastic service views and breakfast. Everything exceeded expectations. We were offered an upgrade to a room with private pool but we preferred an ocean view and they accommodated us. The beach was better than anything else in the area and the pool was a pleasure to swim in. The outdoor sitting areas had spectacular views

We had a lovely villa with private pool which had ample space and amenities. It felt more like a small house than a hotel room. The service all over the resort was exceptional, staff were very friendly and aimed to make your stay enjoyable. The two ocean swimming areas were fantastic. Breakfast was also delightful and diverse. The only critique would be to have a more diverse dinner menu.

Our check in was very easy and everything was explained to us about the hotel and also going into Syracusa, where to park etc. Our room was very good, good size, bathroom products and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, as was the coffee and selection of food at breakfast. The rocks were great and we spent a few days sunbaking there and jumping off the rocks. The pool was also very good and a nice warm temperature. While the location of the hotel is not in central Syracusa, we had a hire car and its an easy 15 min drive there and its actually a bigger city thank you think. We dined at Schiticchio Pizzeria and recommend it. The street it is based on and surrounded area seemed to have a good selection of restaurants. You can order room service / food to beach / pool / rocks via whatsapp which was easy. I was very impressed that I went to see reception the day before we left as we needed help with our bags for an early check out at 600am and there was someone ready at 600am at our room to assist. Only disappointing this was that in room coffee / team was not included which I feel when you are paying over 500 euros per night it should be. They also only provide a bottle of water on your first night, again, they should include this based on the price. Would highly recommend this hotel.

That's what I said to my wife as we were sunning ourselves by the pool. This is a luxury resort. The rooms are in cottages scattered around the site, a short walk from the pool, beach & five-star restaurant. Rich marble & wood interiors. Fabulous breakfast. And for no more than a B&B! Initially, we were disappointed that it is 15 minutes from town, but it was wonderful to be able to leave the crowded streets behind and retreat to the Minareto. It's not easy to find, so get directions on the web or use a GPS.

Our room, the Junior Suite, was lovely. The breakfast coffee was excellent. The pool was clean, warm and long enough to swim in. The lady in the pool bar was very friendly and Spanish (our Spanish is better than our Italian). It is just over a kilometer from from some lovely beaches.

Beautiful rural hotel built around an old courtyard with an old well at the centre, where you have your breakfast and restaurant meal. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of everything from fresh pastries and cakes, breads, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice. Pool area and the gardens are very well maintained with beautiful olive and lemon trees, lavender, gaura. The hotel's app suggested a number of local beaches to visit and they were were all lovely, quiet and sandy - and you can take an umbrella to the beach for shade. Staff are excellent. Good location to drive to Noto and Ortigia such beautiful historical towns and the beautiful fishing village of Marzamemi.

This is one of the most magnificent places we’ve ever stayed at. The building itself has been beautifully restored creating authentic comfortable rooms with gorgeous design features. The gardens and pool area are a wonderful place to spend time relaxing and the staff can’t do enough for you. We ate dinner at Manna and it was a stand out meal for our holiday in Sicily.

Very beautiful and spacious villa! We loved the beautiful garden and the large swimming pool. Francesco is the perfect host - he was very attentive and helpful. From wonderful recommendations on places to visit and restaurants, to recommending a lovely boat tour (we loved it!), plus he had stocked the fridge with water, drinks and lovely Sicilian wine :) The neighborhood is a quiet residential area and close to the beach. Thank you for the amazing holidays! We will be back! ;)

We loved how everything worked out perfectly for our family, even with two teens who need their own space. The layout felt just right. The place is private, not overlooked, and not far from the beach. But the real highlight? That huge pool with a built‑in jacuzzi. Big bonus!

Great Villa with beautifully kept gardens and the swimming pool was fantastic! Communication with the host, Francesco, was really good and he was very quick to resolve any small issues or offer advice on local restaurants, shops etc. The villa was spacious and very clean, with basic amenities provided. There is a great range of outside seating and areas to provide shade from the hot afternoon sun. Secure off-street parking is provided. There is a small supermarket (Carbe) within walking distance, that offers a deli section and prepared foods and pizzas; the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also walked to the local bar, (El Cubano), which served great coffees, pastries, granita & gelato.

Great location for discovering this part of Sicily. Lovely tranquility when needed. Great facilities ….. but get a large ironing board !

The villa is just perfect! It has all you are looking for to be relaxed during vacation. Deco is magnificent. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms very well equipped. The garden is very well maintained and chilling around the pool is a pleasure. The hosts are super friendly and available to answer all the questions. Location is also great, very close to the see and nice restaurants.

Host was great and helpful. She helped us arrange and find things around Sicily. Villa is equipped with everything you need. Bedrooms are big and comfortable. Outside area is big and spacious and pool was nice qnd clean.

The location,50mins from Catania airport, 20mins from the centre of Siricusa&15mins from Aranella beach is perfect. The town of Casibile is only 5mins drive&has pizzarias&shops for quick bites. The Villa itself was spotlessly clean, really well appointed and the outdoor area, with private pool&dining area was perfect for a stay with children. Set in the countryside, surrounded by lemon&orange trees, the villa is a tranquil escape. Simonetta, was available for advice&recommendations throughout our stay&was genuinely invested in our trip being as enjoyable as possible. We had a late flight the day we checked out&Simonetta offered her own outdoor shower for us to use before the airport. I couldn't recommended highly enough.

Villa Sambucia provided the ideal setting for a peaceful and rejuvenating countryside holiday. The house itself was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, that made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces — the garden was beautifully landscaped, and the pool area was a fantastic place to unwind. To eat at the local nearest town is Cassibile with amazing pizzas. The host is very warm and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect for our stay. Overall, Villa Sambucia exceeded our expectations.

Quiet and remote villa where you can completely relax. Perfect location to Siricusa, Ortigia and other towns. Extremely clean and well equipped. Simonetta is an amazing host always available and extremely helpful. We felt well looked after. We were welcomed with a basket of wine and local food. We absolutely loved our stay. Top property for family vacation, very clean and comfortable.

Very private accommodation with very supportive hosts. They live on the same property but don’t bother their guests at all except for checking in via text whether you need anything. We had towels, coffee, some kitchen ingredients, and all the furniture and equipment is of high quality. I would definitely stay here again. We swam in the pool everyday and enjoyed our privacy. It’s true that there is an autoroute next to the property but it does not bother at all because it is still very calm and you can chill by the pool. Thanks for everything!

This modern design property is exceptional. Minimalist with high quality fixtures and furnishings. The beds are superb and the showers lovely and powerful. The kitchen appliances are high quality, all Bosch, also a coffee machine and kettle. The swimming pool is perfect. Spotlessly clean with jacuzzi option. It really is an oasis.

Very Well located near the main attraction. The house is perfect with everything we needed. Even if the street is very busy outside you don’t hear anything inside.

We had an amazing holiday. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, but the true highlight was the beautiful garden with its pool. Situated at the far end of Fontane Bianche, the location was perfect for us—it was peaceful and uncrowded, and having a car made it easy to get around. The pool was long enough for swimming exercises, which we really enjoyed. Alessandro was a fantastic host. He provided us with numerous tips on nearby places to visit, complete with precise Google Maps directions for parking and more. When we encountered minor issues, such as the mattresses being too firm, he promptly arranged for the delivery of extra-soft toppers. We highly recommend this place, especially for those who enjoy a mix of relaxing in a quiet garden with swimming and exploring the area by car.

Such a beautiful place, the garden absolutely amazing. The house quite well for 5 people, all equipment needed on place. The nicest public beach in Fontane Bianche. The right place for relax, tidy and comfortable. The important thing- the rental car is definitely needed. Alessandro very polite and helpful. The best place to spend holiday in this part of Sicily 🙂🙂🙂😍

The house is so welcoming, the host is really nice and friendly and explained everything on our arrival, bed linen were clean, fresh towels were prepared, we had a lot of towels avaible. The hous eis equipped with a washing machine which was very useful to not to take dirty clothes back home. A lot of outdoor furniture available, huge table (shaded) near the bbq / outdoor kitchen area. The house is detached with a garden all around, ac in every bedroom. Rooms are very nicely decorated with great taste and makes the house feel more homey. Pool area is exceptional, pool robot also available to clean during your stay. The owner accepted our pet which is not a small dog. Some supplies were also available in kitchen cupboard like onions, oil, salt, sugar, coffee and other basic stuff. The garden area is so peaceful, garden is very well kept with flowers and prikly pears and turf. House is close to the beach and there is also a cool lido serving great pizza. Owner also provided a list of markets nearby and all the necessary links to make our stay smoother. Will definitely save this residence for another stay in the future.

The house is ok, comfortable beds, courtyard is really nice with great facilities, specially for a grill in the backyard, the pool is also nice. The owner is great, we communicated very well, he waited for us for a very late check-in and he gave us a late check-out . We had a very good stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at Eden Charming House. It was the perfect little oasis away from the cities but close enough to drive and explore. We loved having our own quiet and private pool. The rooms were so spacious and everything was clean. It was within walking distance to the beach which was great. Paolo was super welcoming and gave us great tips for what to do and eat in the area. Would definitely recommend!

The ground floor of the villa was nicely sheltered and very quiet. The bedrooms were nicely on the both ends of the villa with their bathrooms, you have your privacy if needed. Comfortable double beds and air-to-air heat pumps to cool or heat the bedrooms. The best in this villa is the outside area with the pool, you can spend time by the pool, on sunbeds or on dining area. The area and villa is well kept and the pool cleaned several times a week. Recycling of materials is organized. The street besides villa is quiet and you can park there for free. The beaches are of walking distance and services are not far away. Only the bigger stores are 1 km apart like the old centrum. The owner of the villa was positively taking care of the guests.

The pool and pool deck are fantastic and the whole property is well maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

We had a very good time at Corrado's apartment. He even helped us out providing oil. You have all the necessities you need and it is very spacious. A nice beach is also close by if the pool is not sufficient.

Location, location, location! Everything was close and with in a walking distance. Restaurants, food shops and of course the beach! Pool was cleaned everyday and the owner was very nice.

Really beautiful property - catered for our family of 7 with both apartments used. Private pool was perfect. Very clean on arrival, all facilities advertised were provided. Staff were excellent and lovely touch having croissants in the morning. Fontane Bianca has a lovely beach and one or two restaurants. We travelled to Ortigia, Noto and other towns in the region which were lovely day trips. One draw back would have wished for more local restaurants - but all in all it was a super stay.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Urania. The pool, gardens and house were extremely clean and we found it the perfect place to relax with the bonus of a sea view from the top terrace. The location was excellent - a few minutes walk from a small cafe and mini market and 10 minutes walk to the beach. Nothing was too much hassle for our hosts - thank you!

The villa is amazing and it has everything you need to enjoy you stay. Only a short walk away from the beach. The rooms were big with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped. The swimming pool is well kept although there is an issue with birds. Massive plus were toys for children to play on a beach.

we loved this place and the host was brilliant. it’s so central to a lot of places with the added pleasure of being quiet. you do need a car but it’s a small price to pay.

Nachdem wir verstanden hatten, dass dieses einzigartige Boutiquehotel nur über eine unter der Hauptstraße durchführende Zufahrt, welche auch den Parkplatz erschließt, zugänglich ist, waren wir begeistert! Sehr freundliche Rezeptionistin, schönes kürzlich renoviertes Zimmer mit einer riesigen Dusche, ein Spa Bereich mit Sauna, Infrarot, indoor Pool und Wellness Anwendungen, direkte Strandlage und eine wunderschöne Terrasse für Frühstück, Mittag und Abend. Die Lage am eher privaten weißen Sandstrand ist genial! Das Frühstück war gut sortiert und ausgiebig, für Sizilien absolut luxuriös! Das Strandliegenset (2 Liegen und 1 Sonnenschirm) kosten pro Tag 10 EUR, was wir als völlig ok betrachten, da das Thema Liegenreservierung damit wegfällt. Kleiner Wermutstropfen, dass das Spa als Privatspa gebucht werden muss und es 80.- für 75 Min. kostet. Einerseits verständlich, andererseits nur bei Schlechtwetter überlegenswert. Alles in Allem aber ein einzigartiges Plätzchen zum Erholen, nicht weit von Syrakus. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Great property on a sandy beach only a step off of our balcony. Spa was amazing! Loved the indoor pool and massages. A/c worked great. Bed was very V. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant at hotel was excellent! Beach was clean, but road driving towards hotel had lots of garbage. Sad, but not the hotel’s fault. Hotel could use some updating, but was still nice. Beach is public, so some nights you could hear people partying all night, but sliding glass door was very thick and blocked most of the noise. We had breakfast in the room I’m the balcony every day that was wonderful!

We had the ocean view room and it was very unique and quite amazing. Not only do you have the view on the ocean, the balcony with the view, but the balcony has direct access to the beach, which is awesome and super convenient.

Eine ausgezeichnete Unterkunft. Man hat das Gefühl, man sei bei der eigenen Familie auf Besuch. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und erfüllen einem jeden Wunsch. Das Hotel mit 5 Zimmer ist super authentisch und herzig. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig. Die Pool-Landschaft mit dem eigenen Garten ist eine kleine Oase. Wir können dieses Hotel und wärmsten weiter empfehlen.

We really liked our room which was one of the garden apartments with an outside kitchen/dining area. The website pictures really don’t do justice to the layout and quality of the property. The room was spotless and regularly cleaned by the team. We looked out at a lovely water feature and olive and lemon trees. The hotel has a lovely pool which is open for 2 periods across the day. There is also access to a neighbouring hotel which offers all day pool access and lunchtime snacks. A 5 minute drive will get you to various beach clubs and a beautiful beach at Lido Di Noto. The restaurant served lovely food though the menu didn’t change during our stay. Fish lovers will really like the array of local dishes. The wine list was excellent and well priced. Breakfast was included in our deal and was served buffet style. The selection is continental with a mix of cold meats bread and cake. Although stock was replenished regularly, you need to be quick to obtain some of the items on offer. There’s also a bar with a selection of wine spirits and beers. You really need a car to get the most from staying here as there are very few other bars/restaurants within a reasonable walking distance, unless you are happy to stay in the hotel complex. Finally all of the staff members were brilliant, friendly and helpful at all times, including Carmella the cat :)

This property was a delight , nestled amongst the lemon grove. We had booked a large room and was not disappointed the bedroom was huge as was the en-suite ( size of a small flat!) . The room was clean and modern , bed very comfortable. Great on site parking . Breakfast was a feast out under the pergola. The pool was superb, clean and you could actually swim in it rather than a ‘fun pool’ . We didn’t visit the local beach but used it as a base to visit Vendicari, Marzamemi and Portopalo di Capo Passero. We ate at the restaurant -food and wine very good

We had a lovely stay at Villa Felicia. The room was well-equipped and serviced daily. Breakfast is a mix of sweet and savoury cakes, breads, cheeses and some cereal. Plus freshly made coffee from the bar. The pool area is nice although the sunbed area can get a bit busy. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was top-notch. One of the best parts was having access to the pool areas at the nearby Terra di Limoni which are nicer and more spacious (and open all day).

Beautiful property. If you're renting a car, it's the perfect place to stay in this region. While it's a simple property (minimal on-site dining aside from a fantastic breakfast), the pool area is perfect. The staff are also incredibly helpful, especially with navigating the local area. You're able to also access the property next door (5 min walk), which has an additional, bigger pool, and lunchtime snacks available. Both properties are so incredibly well looked after and a bonus that the car park is fully shaded.

We had a truly exceptional stay at Hotel Maniace! The hotel itself is luxurious, elegant, and elevated—yet it manages to feel warm and comfortable at the same time. This is due to the friendly and warm staff that work at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Rachele, Lorenzo, and Stefano went above and beyond to provide outstanding service—always attentive, thoughtful, and gracious. They remembered us throughout our stay and even noted that it was my fiancée’s first time in Italy, which made everything feel even more personal and special. As an unexpected and delightful touch, we were invited to the hotel’s 1-year anniversary celebration. It was such a lovely gesture, and it gave us the chance to experience the hotel’s hospitality in an even more memorable way. We stayed in mid-September for 3 nights and used the hotel's valet parking (make sure to call ahead and ask hotel to register so you don't get ticketed by the ZTL).

Such a gorgeous, elegant and luxurious hotel – new and modern but also tasteful and classic, and even better than we had expected. The location is incredible, directly across the road from the steps down to Spiaggia di Cala Rossa, and the option for paid valet parking made it so easy to arrive/check in/check out. Ortigia is small so everything is very walkable after arrival, and we felt like we had the best possible location in town – right on the water but so close to everything. Our room was so comfortable and cool, with views across to the sea – it’s clever to have the window raised above eye level so there’s privacy but also beautiful natural light and the view. All the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a stunning aperitivo in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Overall, Maniace Boutique Hotel is up there with some of the loveliest modern five-star hotels we’ve stayed at around the world.

The property was outstanding! The room was beautiful. It was overlooking the water by the castle. We had our morning coffee out in the courtyard, which was brought to us by somebody. The breakfast at the hotel was amazing and was included. The staff all were very professional and exactly what you expect from a luxury property. Frederica and Vittorio were both fantastic!The property only has been open for approximately three weeks. It is luxury without a doubt. We stumbled upon it by accident as our original booking fell through. We are very happy that our original booking fell through as it let us discover this wonderful hotel! If I could read it more than a 10 out of the 10, I would!

Absolutely recommend this hotel. In great location, garden room was nice and quiet (requested a quiet room and hotel accomdated it, which really appreciated it). Bed is very comfortable (not super soft which provide a great support for my back. Duvet and bedding are also comfortable. Pillows are on the slight firm end but still okay. Room is beautifully decorated. Breakfast also had loads of options. The only slight downside was one day the room has been made up but no fresh towels were replaced even though the old towels were on the floor and been removed. And we have requested new towels via reception, new towels arrived without issue.

This is a former convent turned into one of the best boutique hotels we have ever visited. The location facing a few metres from the Mediterranean Sea and located centrally in the historic Ortigia Island makes it a very treasured hotel and a must visit. The design, use of materials, finishings, fixtures, quality workmanship, thought into the needs of visitors is so well executed that it is impossible to find anything wrong with the location. Staff were among the best, friendly and highly accommodating. While we were there, we recommended it to many of our friends.

We had a wonderful stay. All the staff were helpful. I think it was Lucia who welcomed us, and showed us the location of the tourist sites on a map, in an unhurried way. The rooms were excellent, and bed, very comfortable. The hotel has a lift. The breakfast was superb in its quality and range, one of the best I’ve ever encountered, and good Italian coffee was available. The location was fantastic for us: we could walk to all the sites. TheArcheological Park is about twenty minutes’ walk, catacombs and archeological museum even closer. The walk to Ortygia takes 20-30 minutes. We had no trouble finding parking in nearby streets, and there is also a free (at present ) car park only a block away. William’s wife.

The owners, Laura and Laura were so kind and personabke! We loved visting with them and Joeys mother and also with Mateo. They all made sure that we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had. They had a great breakfast with meat,eggs, cheeses, and fruit. The room and the bed were especially comfortable and the room was large with plenty of space for all our stuff and suitcases. They had a bullentin board in the common area with all kinds of information. Thank goodness they had an elevator. They also had a bar with liquor which was nice and reasonably priced! The location was great! We would highly recommend and would stay again!

The deceiving entrance doesn't lend a peek into what this charming hotel offers it's guests. The cordial greeting (staff was a strong heart to this hotel), assistance in securing good parking, comfortable moderately sized room, quiet location all set the stage for a memorable stay. Old world civility exudes. From the balcony in our room we could see the evening lights bathe the Cathedral across the street in soft colors. Easy enough walk down a main street to visit Ortiga. Morning breakfast was well prepared and filling. Don't let the unimposing entrance keep you from enjoying this bargain stay, it will surprise you. Daniel and Linda

The staff were really helpful and gave us tips where to go to feel the local vibes and tell us about the life in Siracusa. The room was very comfortable and clean. Also, the location is close to the local sightseeing spots even by foot, including Ortigia Island. They offered a great variety of breakfast, both continental style and sweet pastries, water and juices, and a very tasty coffee -different style. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Siracusa and would recommend it to everyone else.

The hotel is very well located close to the basilica. The receptionnist explained everything that we could visit right when we arrived, which was of great help. She gave us very good recommendations. We were also able to enter the room early. The room was very clean and huge. There was everything that you need. There was also a lot of choice for the breakfast. All in all, we were sad to only stay one night there. We will for sure come back!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel from start to finish. I was traveling with my wife, 2 children (ages 8 and 10), and my wife’s parents. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Catania airport lost our luggage but the wonderful staff relentlessly called and tracked down our luggage and had it delivered to us at the hotel. The room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and offered every comfort I needed for a relaxing stay. The suite is perfect for a family of 4. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hotel was very charming. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. The location was perfect—close to major attractions, restaurants, and transport, yet peaceful and quiet at night. What truly stood out was the attention to detail and the level of care the staff showed to every guest. This hotel goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. If you want a great hotel with excellent caring staff located in the best part then look no further than Algilà Charme Hotel in Siracusa.

For starters, if I would return to Syracuse I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. It is ideally located in a quiet area. Rooms are spread over 2 very elegant palazzi. I was really charmed by the way rooms and central parts were decorated: very classy and of delicate taste. Curtains matched the tiles in the bathroom in our room! The rooms were big and in a very good condition and the bathroom had a very good shower with toiletries of Culti. And then the breakfast: the very best we had in all Sicily with no extras charged for freshy squeezed orange juice and eggs prepared as you wish. Fresh fruits, all kinds of pies, you can even prepare your fresh cannoli on the spot. Reception staff were very friendly and the same holds for the staff at breakfast. Only minor point I can think of is that there is no outside public terrass to relax but really, this is largely compensated by all the rest. Thank you team Algila for making our stay so pleasant!

My daughter and i consider this hotel to provide the luxury and breakfast you would consider at a high class hotel. The chefs are clearly talented and provide wonderful fresh produce. The chef special refrigerator cake is a must try. It is amazing! The breakfast offers more than one would usually expect, the serving staff and wonderfully engaging and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Our suite has a view of the sea from our balcony and the beds are very comfortable with wonderfully crisp, white cotton sheets. I particularly like the wooden shutters which block out all of the light. Our bathroom is clean and comfortable with a hammam steam shower and subtle lighting. There are numerous beautiful places to sit outside of the room including an area with a waterfall and a computer area for guests to use. Reception staff are wonderful and very helpful and friendly. It is ideally placed to venture around Ortigia and Syracuse. If you want a hotel which feels home from home with a little luxury, this is the place.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel in June. He uses a mobility scooter so he needed a handicapped room. Upon checking with the hotel, we found that his scooter was too long to fit into the lift so he couldn't get to the room. However, after numerous emails to your fantastic staff, we were told that there was a room on the ground floor which might work for us! It was in the beautiful annex building directly across the street. While it wasn't a handicapped room, per se, he was able to maneuver around the room and into the shower. Our room and the public sitting areas were beautifully decorated, clean, and very importantly the air conditioning was very good! The staff went out of their way to help in any way they could. We arrived late the first night and had the most delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast had fantastic variety, including eggs cooked to order, which is rare in Italy.

What an amazing Charme hotel. The pictures don't do it justice in my opinion as you feel welcome, cozy as well as posh all at the same time. My sister and I shared a room - so spacious (twin bed in a separate space and a queen canopy bed) and included the rooftop private patio. A bonus we did not expect! My father's room was queen and equally charming. The rooms and common areas are well-appointed. You are in a high-end place with reasonable prices- considering the location. The breakfast is amazing. The prunes- INSANE. From made-to-order omelets to fruit and meats/cheese/yogurt and beverages. 10 out of 10. The servers are top-notch and are very attentive. The front desk made several recommendations for restaurants- one, about a 5 min walk from the hotel (same street- just a few mins away) was our favorite meal. Close to everything - yet quiet and peaceful, THIS is the place to be.

This must be the best hotel in Ortigia, it has a spectacular view and is opportunely located near the winding pedestrian streets full of shops and restaurants. Reception staff could not have been kinder. We really appreciated the blackout curtains in the rooms that helped us get a good night’s rest. The infinity pool and pool deck were fabulous and perfect for a mid afternoon cool down. Only area for improvement was the air conditioning, while effective it was extremely loud and the fan controlled by hotel reception. Cannot recommend the in house restaurant for dinner as we did not try it, it did look a little staid but was lovely for a drink. Some variability in room noise, some noise from one room on the rear alley side and one on the sea facing side. Two other rooms on rear side were very quiet.

This is a very nice 5 star hotel. Absolutely fantastic location on Ortigia within very easy walking of the laneways and restaurants. It has an amazing fit out with mosaics in the entry. The staff are all very helpful but it seemed a little soulless I would have expected more complimentary water during our stay. Breakfast was a highlight. The pool is small but has fabulous views over the bay. The gym has well maintained equipment. It’s not cheap but worth the cost.

Very nice hotel, chic and classy decor. Wonderful pool and spa service. The only thing that is not nice is to note that one of the valets, when I called him twice in the room (for the television and for a continuous noise that came) was rude and not very helpful. I recommend choosing the staff better, because they represent a lot in a prestigious structure like yours. For the rest I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and historic. Everything is unbelievably clean and every little detail has been thought about. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, especially when we needed to get medical care. Staff helped us find where to go at 10pm on a Saturday. Breakfast was fantastic too with lots of choices. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The pool is also relaxing and beautiful with amazing views.

A wonderful oasis in the heart of the old town of Ortigia . Minutes from the Duomo and Square. Wonderful sea views . A fantastic rooftop terrace for cocktails and dinners . The only pool in the old town again with wonderful views and helpful staff . Wonderfully elegant cool oasis during the hot summer . The staff were amazingly helpful, particularly the reception staff, including Annalisa Denaro and Luisa. Would definitely stay here again.

The best (perhaps the only) luxury hotel in Ortigia. Excellent location on the sea within walking distance to the everything. Very nice rooms. We had a Garamond Jr. Suite. The staff is super friendly and sleep good English. Service was excellent. The buffet breakfast was very nice (€50 if you prepay it). Valet parking available (€40). The only complaints we had were that the pillows were not comfortable, the mattress was super firm, there was no comforter (only a thin blanket), and that may things were not functioning. For example there were two awnings in our balcony and one could not be opened. The pool has pretty mosaics but no chairs to rest near the pool. Hamas/steam room and some of the showers didn’t work. The pool has nice chairs inside the pool with spa jets but none of them worked. Still in spite of all that we would defiantly stay there again since it’s the only luxury hotel in town

The property was beautiful. The hotel is the old post office and it stands out as one of the nicest buildings in the area. I knew nothing about ortigea and Siracusa (and Sicily for that matter) and I chose this hotel based on the 5 star filter and proximity to all the tourist sites to see. The pictures on Expedia were spot on with how beautiful the hotel really is which is super important to me as a traveler. I hate when properties use filters and professional photographers to mask blemishes. But the pictures I saw before booking truly matched when I arrived. Based on how beautiful the building was, I’m happy to say the staff matched our expectations. They were attentive, super accommodating, and extremely nice to deal with. All of them. They helped us every step of the way with tours, reservations, retrieving forgotten items at other locations, etc. The rooms were all amazing. We booked 3 rooms for our group. We all had duplexes which were stunning. If you are traveling with children, request a connecting room in advance. There is an amazing restaurant on the top floor I highly suggest you have dinner at during sunset time. The views are spectacular of the water. My only gripe was that the pool was closed due to covid concerns. I didn’t ask in advance so this was my fault. When traveling to Siracusa, stay on the island of ortigea and stay at this hotel, the Ortea palace. They won’t disappoint.

Our stay at the Ortea Palace Hotel was flawless. From the welcome granita at check-in to the chocolates at turndown, the thoughtful touches made our visit special. The hotel itself is stunning, filled with ornate marble and art, and the breakfast in the beautiful indoor courtyard was a daily highlight where we planned our day. The service was exceptional. Francesco at the front desk and Arianna at breakfast were wonderful, and our housekeeping team had an incredible eye for detail, keeping our room immaculate. We loved the modern gym and pool in the basement for a break from the sun, though note there is only one of each machine type (but we were the only people using it during our stay). We had zero issues and were thoroughly impressed by the hotel's execution of every detail as well as their recognition of our Marriott Bonvoy lifetime status. Highly recommended.

Stayed all over Sicily on this trip and the Ortega Palace was by far the best hotel experience. The room was superb (Junior Suite) and the hospitality service was fantastic. We were greeted at check in by what seemed to be our own personal check in assistant, shown to our room and she did not leave until we were happy with the accommodations (we were). The breakfast and service was fantastic and the reserved, complimentary use of the spa area (pool, sauna, steam room) made it a very nice, private experience. It was also much welcomed relaxation after spending a day walking the streets of Siracusa and Ortigia. Beautiful hotel with great service, conveniently located adjacent to paid public parking. I realized how great the parking was after watching large numbers of people lugging their suitcases through the streets of Ortigia to get to hotels more centrally located near Piazza Minerva.

We had a very enjoyable time at this lovely hotel. Conchetta at reception was amazing. Definitely a real ambassador for Marriot hotels. She welcomed us, organised a speedy check in, luggage delivered to our room very quickly. The hotel was originally the grand Post Office and has kept some of its grand designs. We are Bonvoy Titanium members and were upgraded to a delightful suite with the most fantastic view, balcony and huge patio windows. Fantastic location only minutes from a fascinating fish market, lots of historic churches, squares and restaurants. We never used the gym, indoor swimming pool or saunas but I had a tour of them and they looked amazing. A very enjoyable stay and a special thanks to Conchetta for all her advice about restaurants and trips.
