Everything about the apartment was just lovely, so comfortable with every room air conditioned and the kitchen fully equipped. Thank you to our hosts Rosella and Claudio who were so helpful and friendly. The private pool with the most amazing view over the sea was fantastic. Location could not have been better for us 10 mins walk up to the town centre of Taormina and a direct path down to the beach. This really is a little bit of paradise in Sicily. The garden with lime and lemon trees was so peaceful and relaxing. We really had the most fabulous holiday. We hope to return!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Mariella. We arrived tired and hungry and Rossella and her son warmly greeted us at the property and helped us with our bags: we immediately felt at home. The villa is exactly as described, spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious and with those lovely added touches such as welcome drinks and staples meaning you don't have to dash out instantly to the supermarket to buy dishwasher tablets etc. The location is ideal - between the town and the beach and also an excellent base to tour the east of the island. The pool, wifi and air con were a huge hit with my teens as was the fact, due to its location, they could wander into town unsupervised for a gelato or two! The views are stunning and sitting on the veranda with my morning coffee overlooking Isola Bella beach was one of my favourite things to do. Yes there are steps; my husband and I are mid 50s and managed them fine. Plus it meant I could eat more gelato and pizza guilt free!

Location is fantastic, in a quiet part of Taormina with fantastic views over the coast towards Italy. A short walk up to the main town, up a number of steps (needs a reasonable level of fitness) and restaurants and the top of the cable car down to the beaches. If you walk down from the gate you can also walk directly to the beaches although the pathway is steep. Villa facilities were excellent with multiple sitting areas, sunbeds and the seasonal pool was lovely to cool off in. Kitchen had everything we needed, and was modern with a large fridge freezer, oven/hob, and dishwasher, and outside in the utility area was a washing machine. Hosts were there when we arrived, very friendly explained how everything worked, and handed over the keys (And a bottle of fizz, and some essentials - nice touch). We had a fabulous 1 week stay, and enjoyed everything about the villa.

A lovely apartment with stunning views across to La Isola Bella. Close to the top of the cable car and bus terminal. There are a number of steps to access, but this is Taormina so that is not unusual. The hosts were amazing, kind and courteous. Everything we needed was there. We had a delightful stay and loved being able to cool down in the pool after a day's exploring. Wonderful.

Rossella and Claudio the hosts were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The apartment is very spacious and very clean with great facilities. The huge garden is a major asset and has excellent views over the bay below. The pool is very well maintained. The neighbours are mostly retired and are quiet and respectful. I would certainly come back to Villa Mariella.

so much to like.. it will take me long to write so i will bullet point: VILLA: stunning, spacious, good room, lots of storage, great views, AC in rooms, swinging chair, exceptional view, biiiig pool, private, love the plants on the grounds HOSTS: easy to hand over keys, helped us on whats app when we needed help, left a welcome hamper that was handy LOCATION: closer to catania airport (we drove all the way from palermo), about 2 min drive from shop, cafe, garage etc. really close to savoca where they filmed Godfather (lovely old italian village), easy to get to bunch of very good restaurants (again about a 2 min drive). The main road is very far away which you can see from the balcony and you can hear the cars drive over the road but it really isn't loud enough to complain about. We hired a cra and got to Etna in about 1 hour, Taormina in 20 min, beach is 5 min, shops 3 min. such a good location. In summary the view was amazing. kids loved the pool and the toys that were in the villa. The welcome pack/hamper was a nice touch

I can not describe what a wonderful vacation location it is!! The villa is fully equipped with everything you'd need, including the wine glasses :) The view is amazing and whole pool for yourself to relax on the hot summer days. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Villa itself is spacious and offers multiple possibilities to hang around and relax. Bedrooms have air con and other rooms don’t. The view from the terrace is spectacular. The hosts are very friendly and problemsolving. We had hot pool days and at evenings the outside kitchen / barbeque was excellent if you want to prepare your own dinner. Inside kitchen has also pretty much everything you need to prepare food. We even tried jogging, but the hills are quite steep and the weather was too hot. 😅 Car is a must and we visited Taormina and Savoca (Bar Vitelli / Godfather movie). Near Savoca is a great restaurant Sikania where we had the best pizza!

Absolutely everything about the place! The tranquillity of the area, its privacy was superb, location wise it was brilliant as it was close to popular towns and access to further locations was simple due to the roads. the property was incredible boasting plenty of space, with a beautiful lay out and the host were incredible also, provided a fridge a table with small bits and pieces allowing us to not have to go shopping for the first few days due to them providing some essential pieces.

great villa on the hills of Taurmina, nice pool, the hosts Mario and his helper Sylvia were terribly helpful. the pool is , very nice, great view of the city, the house is fully equipped. the only thing to look at is the need of a car in order to arrive there since the road to the villa is a bit challenging

Absolutely stunning property. AC in each room, poolside was spacious and got sun and shade at all different times of the day. Multiple places for meals around the garden and inside. Beds were in great condition as well - firm mattresses and lots of pillow options. We had access to all types of utensils and crockery needed, a washing machine even! Giovanna and Mario were the most hospitable and kind hosts we have ever experienced. They were thoughtful, always responded instantly to any enquires, and gave some amazing recommendations for restaurants / taxi companies etc. Giovanna is a very kind soul, and really went out of her way to make our holiday retreat the sublime experience it was.

Perfect perfect villa for a family with children. Tv in every bedroom and comfortable beds, plenty of extra blankets and towels. Amazing pool and facilities. The little touches such as free toiletries and towels were so thoughtful and both Mario and Giovanna (who lives next door) looked after us so well. Always at the end of a message to help us out with taxis etc and Giovanna even went to the supermarket for us as we didn't have a car 😃. Thank you so much Mario and Giovanna and we hope to see you again 😘

Peaceful location, fantastic garden with pool, great view of Mount Etna. Easily accessible with car.

Beautiful property, with a lot of space. Fresh fruit and veggies were left on the table for us every morning and Marco was quick to answer any questions I had. The lights weren’t working the first night we were there and Marco accommodated us at a hotel nearby. It was very nice of him and didn’t take away from our stay at villa Tina - he was at the house the next morning at seven to get the problem fixed. We were back there by 11 in the morning.

Amazing place. Spacious indoor and outdoor . Fitted kitchen with an amazing garden . Great host always in contact and ready to offer some advice .

Marco made us feel extremely welcome even before we arrived - anticipating the sorts of things we might need for travel with young children. On various days throughout our stay we woke to baskets of eggs, oranges and lemons on the doorstep - a lovely touch which really added to the countryside vibe of the stay. The property is exceptionally clean and very well equipped.

Kitchen was really well equipped with all basics like washing up liquid, cloths, and some food items provided which is really handy when staying for a short break as we were able to cook some meals. We also used the bbq outside as lovely outdoor eating area. Plenty of towels provided and there is a washing machine if needed. Claudia was very friendly and helpful and provided us with details of nearest supermarket and booked us a restaurant for our first day.

Claudia, the owner, was amazing and so helpful. She provided suggestions for Etna tours and boat trips. We had some welcome treats in the fridge. She could not have been more helpful. It's an amazing house and even more amazing pool.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this beautiful house in Sicily. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality and thoughtfulness of our host, Claudia. Despite our late arrival—well past midnight—she welcomed us with a warm smile and even fresh pizzas, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. Claudia truly goes above and beyond for her guests. The fridge was fully stocked when we arrived, making us feel immediately at home. Her warm, personal touch was felt throughout our stay and made a huge difference in how relaxed and well taken care of we felt. The house itself is stunning, nestled in a peaceful and scenic location. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the swimming pool is a true highlight—perfect for cooling off and enjoying the sunny Sicilian days. It felt like our own private paradise.

Lovely villa outside the quiet town of Piedimonte Etneo. The villa has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to children's toys. Mario and Simona (the hosts) were very welcoming and made our stay perfect in every way; transport to the supermarket, travel advice, fruit from their large garden. If we ever return to to Catania we won't be looking for other places to stay!

The Villa was very spacious and easily suited the needs of 7 adults. Very well equipped and Simona was a fantastic host. Communication was excellent and extremely helpful. There is a terrific terrace with a view along the coast to Taormina and of Etna. There are 2 outside eating areas one facing east and one west. Piedmonte is on the doorstep and Taormina 25 minutes away. The Villa is a 10 minute drive up from the autostrada. A windy road but perfectly safe and easy enough to navigate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the Villa to any group. It was also very good value.

The location was excellent with stunning views over Taomina and the straights of Messina. There were several good restaurants nearby and the local wine inexpensive and good. We thought the villa was a little expensive but very comfortable.

The facilities were amazing with the pool, out side kitchen and bbq, very large indoor kitchen, with a full range and more of kitchenware, coffee percolator, massive individual fridge and freezer, multiple table and chairs in and outside a basement party room with pizza open, though this area smelt very damp and the kitchen area wasn't very nice, there was a gym with various equipement, sadly the running machine wouldnt work, but u could still use the weights machine and cycle machines, free weights etc,wine cellar with wine price list to purchase, table tennis table, utility area on the the roof terrace with again an eating area ,the jacuzzi on the roof wasn't working, but they had put a temporary one down by the pool for use, all the bedrooms were very spacious, downstairs bedrooms had onsuites and upstairs was 2 big bathrooms to share, extra toilets inside near the pool and on the roof terrace. We had a few issues with the pump cutting out on the pool, but the manager/owner was easily contactable and very quick to respond and get the problem sorted. All rooms had air-conditioning.

We loved our stay! We were a large group on a three generation family trip ages 16 to 80 touring from Taormina to Enna and needed accommodations that would appeal to everyone and allow easy access to our day trip destinations. The house was clean and comfortable with all modern conveniences and many bathrooms. Air conditioning was strong throughout. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals and the pool was a welcome pleasure at the end of each day. Salvo was a great host, very responsive and even arranged delivery of some provisions. The location is in a quiet small city and you will want a car to access conveniences. Parking is easy.

The facilities are amazing, we were amazed at the value for money! The owner was more than accommodating with all the messages about taxis and offered a fair price (compared to Uber) for taking us to and from the airport. The pool was great and there is so much seating for everyone to do their own thing as well as be as a group.

The house was simply amazing 🤩 there was everything you can imagine. Great for spending time together with friends or family. We could be together but at same time, have some privacy. We loved it ! Rooftop with the view for coast and Etna on the other side was breathtaking. The owners were really supportive ☺️ We would definitely recommend it to everyone! It was great experience 🥂 thank you!

Cinzia, the lovely owner kept in regular contact prior to our holiday. She arranged to meet us at the property on our arrival and was very understanding when we were running late ( due to getting lost through diversions). She kept in touch throughout our holiday and came to see us off. Cinzia recommended several places to us and kindly booked a restaurant for us , one evening. The welcome and leaving gifts were most thoughtful and generous. The house is very traditional in style; it is extremely well equipped and everything is spotless. The two bedrooms are connected by a few stairs; there is no door between them. There are several beautiful terraces on different levels, which are all accessed by stairs. The swimming pool is lovely and the outdoor kitchen is absolutely amazing! There is on road parking outside the villa. There has been a lot of care put into creating a relaxed haven- we spent most of our holiday lazing on the terrace by the pool.

Our family vacation at Villa Aleclass was absolutely perfect. The villa had everything we could have hoped for and more. The level of amenities was unbelievably good, and every detail of the interior design was meticulously thought out. What we loved most was the fully equipped outdoor kitchen, two dining areas, and, of course, the stunning pool area. Traveling with a 6-month-old and a 3-year-old, we spent a lot of time at the villa and were thoroughly entertained in the beautiful and cozy courtyard, especially with the great cooking facilities at our disposal. However, in this property, you don't have to confine yourself to just the villa, even though it's fantastic. The village's beach is just a short walk away (5 minutes), and a well-stocked supermarket is nearby. Within a short drive, you'll find incredible places to visit like Taormina, Savoca, and Forza D'Agro. The services of Santa Teresa de Riva and Letojanni are also a short distance away. But what truly made our vacation even more exceptional was the villa's owner, Cinzia. Her warm welcome made us feel at home right away, and her helpfulness was something out of this world. She provided us with excellent recommendations and made restaurant reservations for us in advance. While hosts often receive praise in reviews, Cinzia was truly incredible, and I highly recommend experiencing this for yourself. :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. Cinzia is an amazing host, we arrived to delicious Sicilian sweet treats and homemade limoncello. She made excellent recommendations of places to visit and eat. The pool is amazing and the outdoor kitchen is fantastic. The villa is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Cinzia is so thoughtful, she made hand stitched gifts for our children to remember our holiday. Would highly recommend this villa.

The property is tastefully decorated with traditional Sicilian ceramics and had all amenities . A beautiful swimming pool and outdoor lounging area. This property is located in the heart of San Alessio but in a very quiet area. You have the beach at just 300m away and access to shops, bars and restaurants.

What can I say about our stay at casa 11 geranio other then every single part of this trip was amazing we were met very late on arrival due to our plane been delayed and nothing was to much to ask we had fruit water and wine awaiting and they even got us a reservation at John lucas which again is well worth the visit amazing food and great house wine. Now back to the house it was beautiful truly stunning the pool was lovely and the view of etna just wonderful 😍 so I don't really know what else to say other then this is a pure gem ❤️

Property is fantastic! Beautful, clean and spacious with an amazing view of Mount Etna!! It was by far the most well equipped holiday home I've ever stayed at. They have everything you need from cooking equipment, towels, toiletries, and even inflatables for the pool! Best of all, the owners are lovely, professional, and incredibly hospitable! Will definitely come back!

The host was very kind and helpful! The villa has its own private swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Several showers are also available. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. To recommend without hesitation!

The hotel’s about a 10-15 minute walk into town if you take the shortcut, in a nice quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. It’s also about a 15-minute walk from the Mazzaro cable car, which takes you to the beach & Isola Bella. Would highly recommend the €15pp hotel-provided shuttle and sunbed package to La Dolce Vita as an alternative. If you don’t fancy going all the way into town for dinner, Ristorante Rosamarino is quite close and so lovely. Delicious food and the friendliest staff. Would come back in a heartbeat. Only downside is there’s no pool, but I knew that when booking.

The room was large and felt like a part of an old villa, full of charm. Lovely ceramics and art everywhere. It is a short of steep walk to the centre and also to the path down to the beach at Isola Bella. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is varied and fresh. There is no pool but also no kids!

We had the most incredible stay here. The hotel is such a beautiful Italian gem and the views from our balcony and for breakfast were just breaktaking. Shout out to all of the staff at this hotel who were nothing but kind during our stay. I sadly broke my foot on our holiday and I cannot express how kind the staff were in looking after us from booking taxis, bringing us food/ice/tea and helping us with whatever we needed. It made the disappointment of the accident so much easier to bear. Particularly want to mention Ajith who went out of his way to help us at all times and was so compassionate and kind. He gave us great recommendations and had such great knowledge of the area. Sadly don’t know the name of one of the other members of staff who helped us with his contacts at the hospital but we were really grateful - thank you. Also Sebastiano was amazing at encouraging us to try lots of the local cuisine during breakfast. He was so friendly in his service and often made us laugh. We definitely left a few kilograms heavier but the breakfast food was honestly amazing and totally worth it!! Wouldn’t hesitate coming back here. It’s a great location and walkable distance to everything in the town. Just don’t break your foot!!

We LOVED this absolutely gorgeous hotel in Taormina! And I mean gorgeous! The rooms were great and had doors that opened onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, with table/chairs/loungers for each room. Very well-tended gardens all around. The interiors were decorated in "old" Italian style, lots of character. There is a lounge for drinks with high ceilings and Italian furniture, beautifully decorated. And I can't say enough about the buffet breakfast. Absolutely fantastic with so much choice, everything excellent. Cheese, salads, juices, baked goods, sweets, eggs, hot dishes, even had tiramisu! Every morning we were there (3), the breakfast offerings were slightly different which was also great. And of course, when you sit down someone comes to get your cappuccino order right away! The breakfast room had soaring ceilings and huge windows, and an adjoining sunny terrace where we ate, all with an uninterrupted view to the sea. The hotel (and all of Taormina) is built on a steep hillside, so the roads are pretty windy and steep. Bel Soggiorno is not quite in Taormina proper (which is a good thing because it can be packed with people), but it is only a short staircase up to the main part of town. You really can't get more picturesque than this place! I'd recommend staying at this well-tended hotel!

On arrival, the reception staff were professional friendly and gave us a warm welcome-nothing was too much effort. We were so grateful for the earlier check-in, the ease of the valet parking and the welcome fruit....we really could not have felt more spoilt. Our rooms were superb-so clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The light show in the shower was a wonderful and extravagant touch! The view.....well, nothing could prepare us for how lucky we were to not only have a garden view, but also that of Etna! The location of the hotel is the best we could have hoped, everything was within walking distance, just the best experience in a perfect hotel, a gorgeous little garden too. We arranged drinks at the Sky Bar for 7pm prior to our arrival...it was magical! The view, the drinks themselves, the cicetti, all with the best rooftop bar view in Taormina! The beds were very comfortable, the air-conditioning was perfectly set....we all slept very well. Finally, the breakfast-again one of the best we have ever had at a hotel....and the price was excellent value. Checkout was so easy, our car brought back to us from the valet too. We can not thank the staff at Hotel Continental enough, and we will be back at some point for sure! Grazie mille

As soon as we arrived at this hotel we felt at home. The young lady at reception was so friendly and welcoming. We were a group of six ladies and we were given 3 superior rooms all right next to each other. All the rooms had a lovely sized balcony which accommodated all 6 of us. The rooms were a good size and very clean. We had breakfast everyday at the hotel which at 12 euros was excellent value. The staff at breakfast were lovely and very attentive to our needs. We had lunch on the terrace when we arrived and it has a lovely view of Mount Etna. Due to bad weather we ended up staying in one evening and had food and cocktails in the sky bar. It was lovely and again the staff were really nice and friendly. The location of the hotel is brilliant, you walked through the garden and straight on to the Main Street with its many shops and restaurants. We were also able to get the bus to Castelmola just outside the hotel. I’m really glad we chose this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful very interesting hotel. The location is great. We, unfortunately, didn't have time to use the shuttle to one of their private beaches, but a great amenity. The hotel close to the action and ease of getting to a beach. Valet parking was a major plus ... relieved us to spend all our time exploring and enjoying the magnificent Taormina, the Greco-Roman theater and Isola Bella and many, many more great things to see. The staff was more than helpful. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. I had a balcony to sit out and absorb more of great Sicily and relax a bit. The restaurant on the roof top was excellent .. good food and the views of Mount Etna and the Ionian sea were spectacular. The wait staff was excellent. Could spend hours just sitting haveing an after dinner drink. Staff had the car waiting for us when requested ... all worked like clockwork because of the great accommodating and professional staff.

Property was in a great location. At first it seems out of the way but once you check in they tell you about a back entrance that leads you literally right down into the main square. It was perfect. Room was clean and I had a little balcony looking at Mt Etna. The rooftop terrace is so cute. I had dinner here and the staff were so nice and the food was pretty good. But the views are the best part. Front desk staff was also great and very helpful! I even got to check in early which was a huge plus as I was only there for one day. Wish I could have spent a couple more days here!

Our stay at Hotel Continental in Taormina was exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The location of the hotel is perfect—just a few steps from the garden, and you’re right in the heart of the city center. It made exploring Taormina so convenient. We absolutely loved the breakfast, especially the unique experience of making our own cannoli. It was such a delightful touch! Breakfast was good and varied with lots of fruit, pastries, eggs/bacon, yogurt/milk/cereal, ham/cheese, etc. The restaurant has a lunch and evening menu with nice food and very reasonably priced. We probably ate there for half of our meals (in between day trips etc.) and were happy every time. The restaurant is nicely located just next to the pool with some A/C (although can get a little hot when it hits 40C). The pool bar also has good priced drinks & ice cream all day. Location is peaceful away from the local village with great views of Etna. A great little place and we'd happily return.

We had a really great stay here! The location was lovely, although as many other people mentioned, having a car is kind of necessary. The restaurant was good and there were many options to choose from (also gluten free!) Breakfast was good, maybe compared to other hotels on the smaller side, but we were happy nonetheless. The drink menu at the bar was amazing and the bartender was awesome, he made us drinks at the inside bar that were only on the pool bar menu. All the staff was super friendly, when our flight was delayed, one staff member stayed longer to check us in. The swimming pool was really nice and we spent a few days fully at the pool and bar. The room and all the common spaces were always kept clean.

It was our second visit in this hotel, hotel is very clean, international breakfast are delicious. Hotel did some improvements from last year as new tiles around pool and pool bar. Restaurant has delicious good, onky we were limited as don’t like fish, very limited meals with chicken which we prefer. But other food we have tried was great. Hotel is away from town, car is a must. Beach is 10 min away by car. There was little bit of communication barrier as staffs in restaurant on lunch time don’t speak English, but they have spoken other languages. Anyway they are very kind

We stayed for just one night in October, and even though we didn’t get to enjoy the beach or pool, you could tell both were lovely, especially the large pool. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. We’d definitely come back in the summer!

I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Nettuno in Taormina, Sicily, for 12 nights, and it was a delightful experience. This charming boutique hotel is managed by two brothers, who along with their staff, make every effort to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The three staff members—Antonella, Luisa, and Milena—are exceptional, always attentive and ready to assist with any needs. The hotel's location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk to the cable car and a 10-minute walk to the main pedestrian street, Corso Umberto, and the bus station that takes you to the beach. The property is very clean and well-maintained, and it boasts a spacious terrace with a stunning view where breakfast is served and where you can relax in the evening. The hospitality here is outstanding. Both the managers and the staff are incredibly helpful, always willing to provide guidance and recommendations for tourist destinations. If you're planning a trip to Taormina, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Nettuno for its excellent service, convenient location, and beautiful ambiance.

Excellent room! The standout is the full view of the garden from the balcony and the side view of the sea. Gorgeous. The bathroom is the biggest of our time in Italy. The whole place is very clean, spotless in fact. There are shutters as well as glass doors and curtains on the room's balcony door. So soundproofing is pretty good. It's a quiet location anyways, yet close to all stores and the cable car and bus stop (both 2 min walk). There is easy access to multiple viewpoints of the lush garden, the sea, and the other hilltop homes from the gorgeous villa. These include the communal balcony in the first floor entry way, second floor, and from the garden tables. Breakfast is worth it for 6€ each. Your choice of freshly made espresso based coffees, pastries, fruits, yoghurt, cold fruit-infused water, tea, is available. The staff are available to assist and are genuinely kind. Highly recommend this spot!

Location was perfect for me since I was traveling Sicily by bus. It only took about 5 min to the hotel from the main bus station. Also, the bus station was where I could get on a hop on hop off bus. I really liked the fact that it was a little bit away from the busy touristy shopping streets and alleys. They have amazingly well manicured terrace overlooking the m no other. Side of Taormina. I throughly enjoyed my quiet lunch and drinks (away from all the tourists) with magnificent view every single day of my stay. Supermarket was only about 5minutes up the street, and was so convenient to grab salads, breads, cold cuts, and drinks for reasonable prices. WiFi was fast in my room. The brothers who run the place were so nice, and spoke very good English. I highly recommend this place as long as you don’t mind using stairs.

Everything! Location is perfect- so close to the entrance to town. Garden and terrace with lovely views, rooms with sea or town views, great red design in the room, rain showers, a friendly dog saying hi from time to time. The owner, Salvatore (?) was the nicest man- he offered great advice, shared his knowledge, laughed, talked about his place and the town with passion. He let me leave my stuff for a WHOLE day and night after check out when I was in another town, waited for me when I arrived late for check in, let me have some candy and took me on a tour of the place. Also- the price was SO cheap you wouldn't believe it. The best hotel I've stayed at on the trip, along with a luxiours 4 stars in Positano, which says a lot. Can't recommend it enough!

The setting is stunning. Best views I found of the area (especially from the sun terraces, these are ridiculously beautiful; except without umbrellas so fairly unusable). The gardens are divine too and the position of the villa is perfect for the town and the funicular. Breakfast is nice, but simple, and they work hard to drive away the wasps which are everywhere in Sicily in summer. The staff are all very helpful, kind and friendly, and went out of their way to help me with anything I needed. I stayed in the single room with a Mountain View - my terrace was bigger than the room! The room was sufficient for one person, though I did get bruises on my leg from walking into the bed corner repeatedly as the space between the bed and the wall is very small. Great value for the price though.

Views can not be questioned, just stunning. - [ ] Pool area was lovely, probably one of the most relaxing ones we have experienced, surrounded by the beautiful views and a lovely garden. Giving a really relaxing atmosphere. pool is also very well maintained. - [ ] We loved the nature feel of the hotel, plants and greenery spotted around inside and outside the hotel. - [ ] I like that they have kept the antique feel of the hotel throughout. - [ ] The staff overall were polite and welcoming and courteous. The housekeeping staff were fantastic very polite and sociable and did a great job doing the room each day. - [ ] The sister hotel private beach is nice, if you want a non crowded experience at the beach. Stayed for 11 days.. hotel decor is slightly dated but clean and room was good size and plenty storage for clothes. Our balcony was good size with great views of the sea and Mount Etna. Pool area was good size with plenty sunbeds with hotel offering towels for the pool and a phone at the pool to call the bar for drinks. All the staff were amazing and very friendly.

Loved this hotel. The staff went out of their way to please you. Always a smile and a happy face. Lots of clear info on the surrounding areas on checking in. The rooms were clean and had the most comfortable beds with memory foam pillows. Had the best nights sleep, other than constantly waking myself to check on Miss Etna through the window. I could watch her whilst lying on my bed, the perfect view, waiting patiently for her to show me some activity. I don't think we could have chosen better. The view from our room, the large balcony looking straight over the bay and towards Etna was just breathtaking. I have a thing for volcanos so this was just heaven for me. The pool was lovely, water was a perfect temperature and plenty of free sun beds at any time of the day. Great view from the pool too. Breakfast was good, fresh food was continuously brought out so you didn't have to rush down at 7.30 to get your croissants. 2 minutes walk to Corso Umberto with its cobbled streets, loaded with shops and restaurants galore. People saying the hotel needs modernising need to research first and choose a modern hotel. This hotel fits in perfectly with its surroundings and who goes on holiday to stay in the hotel anyway? As long as the bed is comfy I'm happy. Absolutely perfect!

A lovely, well established hotel run with love and attention to detail. Valet parking was easy and our luggage was delivered to our bedroom. The bedroom had plenty of space for the four of us and although it was slightly dated, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked fine. The pool (3 metres deep at the deep end and a bridge at the shallow) was wonderful with towels provided and set in a beautiful garden that overlooked the sea and Taormina. There was a piano for our son to play and we enjoyed our drinks on the large terrace and at the pool with great views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t take advantage of the private beach and shuttle to it but certainly would have with more time. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit, tomatoes, meats, pastries and freshly cooked eggs. Most importantly, they had oats muesli - much needed fibre!

We stayed at the Hotel Mediteranee in Taormina for several nights. The hotel is located approximately 1000 feet above sea level, and has a spectacular view over the town, Naxos Harbor, and Mt. Etna. The excellent breakfast offered on the outdoor patio overlooking this view is truly special. The outdoor pool area and view are also a special experience. The rooms at the hotel are are ok, fairly small but comfortable, and the bathroom is quite small. The people and the service, however, are excellent: very friendly and helpful. When our plans needed to be changed because of a railroad strike, the desk manager arranged another night's stay for us, as well as getting us train reservations for after the strike. This service was very much appreciated because we don't speak Italian. Thank you. For the view, the pool, and the people, we very much recommend this hotel.

Hotel Vello D'Oro is a charming older hotel with whimsical architectural touches, filled with unique artwork, right in the centre of Taormina. It is easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shopping and historical sites. While the hotel should update its windows for sound insulation and energy efficiency, our room was clean, had a comfortable bed and the view from our balcony down to the town square, the sea and Etna were wonderful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The scenic path to the church in the rock begins nearby and we also walked to the outstanding ancient theatre and wonderful Castelmola from the hotel. There is no need to move your car during your stay to see everything Taormina has to offer. If you are wanting to park at the hotel, reserve ahead for one of the few parking spaces and be prepared to squeeze your car into a tight spot after backing down a narrow one way street the wrong way. Better to park in the parking garage Porto Catania, take the garage elevator to the street level and walk to the hotel. Be prepared to lug your suitcase up steps within the town. This situation is not unique to this hotel in Taormina. All in all, we completely enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s above the Main Street of Taormina and about a 15 minute walk from the bus station (uphill!) The hotel has a lovely reception with 24 hour staff. The decor is perhaps a little outdated but I found it charming and more importantly, it was well maintained and clean. I loved the wardrobe in my room. Bed was comfortable and the room is air conditioned so perfect in the summer heat. The shower was excellent. The hairdryer was the standard “tube” style common pre 2000 so bring your own if that matters to you. My balcony was so cute, looking out towards the sea. It was overlooked but I didn’t mind that. The electrical outlets in rooms are awkwardly with light switches, so if you use an adapter it keeps turning the lights on. A very minor and non problematic gripe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a selection of breads and cakes, plus cold cuts, yoghurt, cereals and juices. I would definitely stay again!

I loved the view we got - it was amazing waking up every morning and watch the sea, the town and Mt Etna. The terrace was amazing with lots of space. There was a lot of stairs to get to the accommodation from the Main Street. The hotel is accessible on a main road behind the building. So it’s possible to get a taxi there if you need to. The beach bus that the hotel offer can pick you up outside the hotel which is much easier and is better value than trying to do get to the beach yourself (if you want umbrella and chair). Breakfast was great but we stayed a week and felt it could be changed a little bit so it doesn’t get boring, just by changing bread, changing cakes, add savoury croissants. It was plenty to choose from it just need to add some change ups A toaster would be great for toasts. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful.

A very nice hotel, architecturally quite interesting, presumably built between the wars, with lots of balconies of different shapes and sizes. Its position for a visit to Taormina is pretty much ideal because it is set above the main town centre, just far enough to get away from the bustle, but still only two minutes walk away from the main square. The main entrance is from a street well above the town and then most of the hotel is on the floors below, with an exit/entrance at the bottom which leads down to the city centre (altho beware that quite a few steps are involved). The room comprised a bedroom part, a sitting room and a decent sized balcony, with table and chairs. It was very pleasant with a comfortable bed. The reception was very helpful and organized a taxi to the station on check out.

This hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Taormina, especially being able to access the back door which led right out to the Corso Umberto! Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English ,which was helpful to us. Our room was a good size with plenty of storage and the adjoins bathroom was quaint, although the shower was a bit dated. Everything was very clean and housekeeping was efficient. The little balcony overlooked the sea in the distance and although we could hear music from local bars and restaurants it wasn’t invasive. The buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. The only disappointing thing was the airport shuttle which was on the website at €50 each way. Staff were amazed at this price when we showed them and we had to pay €140 for a private taxi.

Hotel Villa Sonia is a magical place which I couldn't recommend highly enough!! When I booked through Expedia, the photographs won us over: the pool, views & decor that oozed old-fashioned Italian charm. After a 15 minute mountainous climb, in the taxi we were greeted by the warmth, professionalism & courtesy of the reception staff and went for lunch at the poolside restaurant (€3 bruschetta is a delicious). The views are beyond beautiful & as soon as you arrive, a wave of relaxation washes over you. The pool is wonderful, and once again, with spectacular views. The hotel itself needs to be understood: it is NOT 'out-of-date' or tired, it's a celebration of traditional Italian fabrics, artwork and furniture, where there is a little slice of Italian history ready to surprise and charm you around every corner!!! The staff were absolutely fantastic, who would help you with anything and everything-from printing off an online bus timetable to booking a restaurant table and much more. Our room was well-equipped and cleaned every morning. My only complaint is that we found the beds very firm so took some getting used to. The bus stop for the Interbus to Taormina (15-20 mins with wonderful views) left at 10 minutes past the hour and returned at 40 minutes past the hour every day until 11:40pm. It's a 5 min walk to Castel Mola, with sensational views & has a collection of wonderful restaurants & bars. La Taverna Dell' Etna is a must!!

Villa Sonia is set 500m above sea level on Castelmola hillside with exceptional views from Giardini Naxos coastline to Mount Etna. It's breathtaking and enjoyed at breakfast, by the pool and from your balcony, if you are lucky enough to have a rear facing room. We didn't, but this didn't spoil our stay. The hotel is well established and built in a traditional style. The owner is clearly a collector of antiques and curiosities and these are found throughout. It's pretty well run and the reception and cleaning staff are very attentive. There's car parking, charged at 5 euros per day, and the staff will park/collect. There was a feeling of spaciousness about the hotel when we visited in September, which also gave a sense of being very quiet so don't expect bustle or urgency. The pool is very good and has a cafe & bar where you can get drinks and light lunches. Breakfast was buffet style and adequate, but not outstanding. A selection of the usual continental type foods useful to stock up on calories rather than savour. Fuel would be needed too, as the location has very little flat terrain. Mostly you will be walking on hills around 10% once you leave the hotel, except at sea level and town main streets! Prepare to raise your heart rate! Evening meals were unremarkable, so we ate out. The downside was the disinterest shown by the restaurant staff and availability of full time pool cafe and main bar staff. Waiting was the norm and no one wanted to get to know you. Pity.

Myself and my husband, Bob, arrived at Villa Sonia on the 29th June 2024 and stayed till July 10th. The hotel is amazing, in an old rustic style which we loved, so quirky. The room was large, we had a spa in the bathroom which was divine. The terrace was huge and a view of Etna and looking down towards Guardiana, Naxos. We watched as Etna became alive over several days and then erupted. What an experience. The hotel serves a continental breakfast which we enjoyed, and scrambled eggs, boiled eggs (which you cook yourself in a machine) and bacon, frankfurter type sausages. The coffee is Bellissimo!! Staff were friendly and helpful, room was spotless everyday. Pool area large and spotless with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Recommend the toasties at the pool bar!! The hotel have a restaurant/bar called La Caverna, just up the hill and we thoroughly enjoyed the food there too, the inside part is in a cave. It was so peaceful up there in Castlemola, but loads to do there and in Taormina. Never seen such beautiful scenery and I'm from Ireland!! Can't recommend highly enough, so much so, that we booked for another 11 nights in June 25 for our family

We loved our stay at this property. We had a warm welcome, and a lovely room with a terrace overlooking Mount Etna. The hotel is situated up the hill from Taormina, close enough to go there for shopping or food but so peaceful. The pool area was nice, although I didn't see the pool bar open - perhaps it was too late in the year. The hotel restaurant, which is a 1 minute walk away is very nice too and we had several meals there. The hotel is 'classic', so if you want ultra modern and digital everything it may not be for you. If you want to relax while looking at a volcano, it's perfect.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The view from our terrace was beautiful - it overlooked Mount Etna and the surrounding hills. Room was spacious and rustic, which made it feel authentic. All staff at the hotel were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was great and they had such a good choice of fresh food. The pool area was a nice touch - it was great getting in the pool after a long day in the sun. Would happily stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone!

View!!!! A beautyful hotel in the mountains!! Breathtaking view to the sea and mountains from rooms and pool! Enough sun bed, great selection of continental breakfast!!! Rooms are clean, staff very kindly and helpful. There is a funicular from the lower hotel and from the parking to this hotel. It is special expreince in the wonderful landscape. Very good location to drive to Taormina. The bus stop is almost before the hotel. The bus goes every hours to Taormina and Isola Bella.

The cable car and elevator are super convenient to go to Letojani center, beaches and restaurants. THe staff in reception and cleaning ladies are very helpful and kind. Nice breakfast, especially the fresh orange juice; however options are a bit limited and repeated every day. The view from each outside area is exceptional. The pools are nice, even though the water was quite cold during our stay (end of May)

We truly had a wonderful experience in this little gem of a B&B. Great convenience, lovely owner and a room that looked and felt even better than advertised. The fact that it is located some minutes off the beaten touristy track was another plus (for us), because it felt like real Sicily Sicily 😊. Seriously, if you find yourself somewhat close to Naxos, get should get yourself a room here and experience the cozy comfort of this family run gem and enjoy Stefanias hospitality, you will be as happy to be here as we were (and as sad to leave as we felt 🥲🇮🇹)

This B&B is truly amazing. The hosts are super-friendly and the accommodation and rooms are in peak condition, it is very well build + maintained and kept impeccable clean during our 7 nights stay. The room and bathroom we had were spacious, and the beds and air-conditioning were perfect. The provided breakfast is very good and the best we had in Italy. The B&B is about 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of the town and beach. Parking is easy in the surrounding streets or next to the B&B itself. Highly recommendable.

Fantastic family run small B&B, rooms were perfect and very clean. Had the pleasure of a spa bath in one of them. Cant fault anything with the rooms, good shower, air conditioning, comfortable beds etc. The breakfast was very nice also, a good selection of food. A 15 minute walk or so to the beach and restaurants, but was easy enough to do. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, as when we struggled to get a taxi to the train station on leaving they very helpfully drove us there. Perfect.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed peaceful, restful nights throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning pool area. The pool itself was crystal clear, the perfect temperature, and large enough to enjoy a relaxing swim at any time of day.

We loved the pool, the comfort of the room and really friendly staff. Big parking, perfectly for travelling with rental car. The restaurant has limited dishes for dinner but they taste really good. Great cocktails and treats if you're staying in the pool. Loved our stay.

The property is a beautiful oasis in Riposto. It is modern with amazing features like the wall of windows in the dining area that open up completely. The finish is immaculate Antonio and his wife are justifiably proud of what they have achieved. The rooms are clean , spacious and beautifully finished. The bathroom is amazing and the shower is to die for. Most of the rooms either overlook the sea or the imposing Etna at the rear. The pool is unusual almost like a pond but equally good for swimming. It has a waterfall and jacuzzi facility. It was a joy to lie there and watch the swifts swoop down and sparrows and finches take a bath on the edge. The staff are truly amazing so friendly and helpful , nothing is too much trouble and someone is always available.

Modern hotel, spacious rooms, toilets and shower equipped with the best sanitary equipment, shower with spray facilities from all directions, modern furniture in the room, wide bed with orthopedic mattresses, incredibly clean rooms. The entrance to the hotel and the yard around it are cultivated with plants and amazing maintenance. A pleasant pool surrounded by green vegetation and palm trees, a captivating sight! The hotel staff is very kind, solves problems on the spot and is attentive to noteworthy customers. And above all, the conductor of the orchestra is the owner of the hotel, Antonio, who renovated, built and designed the hotel. Does not let go of any treatment until it is finished. The hotel owner Anatonio A man with a soul who sets a personal example for his employees and this is the secret of success!

The thing I liked best were the host and hostess! They were so kind and friendly and generous. The breakfasts there were extraordinary - I could never eat all the food that was prepared for me! The view from my room was spectacular - I actually had two balconies off the two sides of my corner room. One view was of Mt. Etna and the upper part of Taormina. The other view was off the sea and the little island down in Lower Taormina. The wrap-around balcony was enormous with deck chairs on it and I just wanted to sit in them all day and enjoy the sunshine and the views. But I also walked down into Lower Taormina and then took the tram up to Upper Taormina. The hotel/home is well-located (for me) in between upper and lower Taormina, and I also hiked up the hill (though that was hot and sweaty) into the town to explore the streets, the Greek theatre and to enjoy the delicious food. The host and hostess also helped me with booking a tour of Etna one day; and they came to welcome me when I arrived and to see me off when I left. They were like family! This stay ranks as one of the best places I've stayed in my life....and that's saying something!

From the moment we enquired about potentially staying here, we were greeted by the most fabulous hostess in Giovanna. She was very quick to respond to our enquiry which made booking our stay here an easy choice to make. In the lead up to our arrival we were contacted by Giovanna about when we were likely to arrive just so she could make sure everything was ready for our arrival. We were greeted with a smile and a welcome drink, before we took in the breathtaking view of the bay in Taormina from the ground floor balcony. Absolutely stunning. Our room was spacious and very well equipped with everything that you could need for your stay here. In the morning, breakfast was provided to order and served whilst taking in those special views. Giovanna was on hand to make some suggestions in terms of places to eat and made the bookings for us. All that remains for me to say, is a very big thank you to you and your husband for looking after us and please say a special thank you to ‘Bart’ your dog for making us feel welcome from the outset. We hope to see you again soon, and for anyone looking for a place to stay in beautiful Taormina, then look no further that Maison Blanche. Outstanding all round 👏🏻🙏🏻🥂

We felt very welcome, rather as guests than paying customers. Giovanna is a fantastic host, her staff at breakfast and at room is very cordial as well. Breakfast was according to personal wishes, no lack of anything. View is great, our terrace had comfy lounge furniture, both to sit and lay down. Plenty of space in the room with a walk-in wardrobe, bathroom plenty of space and with window and daylight. The room has proper electrical blinds to keep it dark if you want to have a lie-in. On the other hand, you can bring a tripod and take a nice sunrise video (I took a great time lapse sunrise from 5:45 to 6:00, then went back inside, closed the blinds and went back to bed again). Giovanna‘s restaurant recommendations were very good and she made reservations, which made the stay even more comfortable. Taormina is a 15 minutes‘ walk uphill, take your phone or a torch for the way back on the steps in the dark. Parking for our rental SUV was included, cars were shifted around as required, no issues at all. We highly recommend this place and thank Giovanna for her hospitality. Thanks as well that I could bid your cute puppy Bart farewell on the day of checking out 😊

This hotel is probably the best place to stay in Castelmola. It is located right next to Castelmola's main square where you can find stunning views of Taormina, restauranta, and a bus stop from which you can take several bus lines to Taormina located down below. The room we booked was very clean and neat, had a large king size bed, and a spacious clean and modern shower area. The whole room had a very high standard. The breakfast which was included in our booking was like a feast. It included Italian and continental options and was fresh and delicious. The service was superb! Everyone was kind and helpful. When we were going fir a full day trip to Etna, Singora Adriana came earlier to work prepare for us sandwhiches. Overrall, I recommend this hotel. It is in high standard, has perfect location for excursions around the region, and if you come by car the owner can provide you with a parking space for 7 eur per day in the parking garage (Parcheggio Castelmola) located just a 3 min walk from the hotel. You need to drive into the garage and on the left sie you will find three parking spaces reserved for Casa Blandano (information is on the pillars). Park your car then go to hotel and check in. You will receive a parking ticket there which you will need to put behind your car's front window (to get the parking ticket you need to inform Casa Blandano that you will need one before you arrive).

The stuff is very nice and they speak a good English. The position of the B&B is in top of Castelmola and very close for Main Square and buss station to Taormina ( the buss leave the Castelmola from hour to hour and cost 2 euro / person) . Also the option for Taxi is present and take 7 euro / person to Taormina. The house is very nice and new , also a good clean is present in all the rooms ( we take 3 rooms) , the space in the rooms is very good and smart TV present, but is more nice to discover Castelmola & Taormina . If you came with the car , is few option to park: one of them is public parking across the main road , with 11euro/day but this slot is very small and very busy. Is present a parking also from the hotel, around 400m from the hotel and is very good option. When you come with the car, you can leave the car in from of main square for 10min to drop off the luggages. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options and good vibe.

In the centre of town. Exceptionally clean, not a speck of dust. Adriana the lady who prepared the wonderful breakfast and cleaned,was an angel. She always had a big smile and saw to our every need, she is an indispensable member of their team. We left knowing that she was our friend. The manager ensured an easy , professional & friendly check in, girls on reception were very helpful with times,taxis, excursions, suggestions- always with a big smile. There was fruit & chilled fizz on arrival, the shower was amazing, very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of towels, big windows so the room was very light and airy. The sun was on our terrace from early morning until late afternoon, it was heaven.

Property owner responsive and kind. Was able to leave luggage before check in so we could explore town. Extremely clean room with modern washroom. Breakfast extremely varied with so much to choose from. Liked staying here above Taormina as it was a cute quiet village. Many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Bus from Taormina was only 1.65 each way. It took about 10 min to get to Taormina. You can buy tickets from bus driver or tourist info shop. You can see bus stop from hotel. You can also walk to Taormina on a rugged path which takes about 20 minutes to arrive in town. Path is off highway which keeps you safe from traffic.

Ein wunderschöner Ort, eine atemberaubende Aussicht und unglaubliche Menschen. Lorenzo und Giusy haben es an nichts mangeln lassen. Sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und sehr gute Tipps zu Lokalen und Stränden. Das Frühstück war der Hammer und bot eine große Auswahl in einem kleinen gemütlichen Raum. Selbst am Tag der Abreise, obwohl wir das Frühstück nicht mehr geschafft hätten aufgrund der Uhrzeit, hat uns Lorenzo ein kleines Verpflegungspaket zusammengestellt. I really enjoyed staying in this hotel - it's a bit old, but it was very nice. The lady at the reception, who completed my reservation, was amazing, shame I didn't catch her name. We had a room with a sea-view balcony, just above the restaurant, and we enjoyed our evenings there, just chilling. The room was big, with a mini fridge and a wardrobe. The pool was clean with chairs and umbrellas. Shame it was open only till 7 pm. It is next to the sea, so easy to get into the water if you don't mind the slippery rocks. I didn't have special shoes and was absolutely fine getting in and out. Really big parking - just outside the hotel. It was great as the area can get quite busy with limited spaces to park. Walking distance to the main beach - I highly recommend going there as it was much nicer than the other side. We had to leave for the airport early, and they accommodated us with an early breakfast - not a take-away bag, but opened the breakfast room where we could eat anything we actually wanted.

Insufficient breakfast and wait staff unfriendly Hotel confortevole è ben situato per poter accedere anche ad altre zone da visitare, il soggiorno è stato piacevole, la stanza era ben disposta fronte mare ed anche spaziosa. Bello il litorale roccioso fronte hotel e la possibilità di usufruire della piscina del hotel a fianco (stesso proprietario). Se devo fare una sola annotazione è sul servizio della collazione, a mio parere va molto meglio gestita e la qualità dei prodotti in alcuni casi era scadente, anche il personale in sala ha un atteggiamento poco propenso agli ospiti, ed a volte anche indisponenti su piccole richieste. Quindi per tutto quello che riguarda la stanza e la pulizia della medesima do un giudizio di molto buono, mentre la colazione e servizio camerieri non si arrivava neanche alla sufficienza.

Nice clean hotel, but the outside pool and sunbed area and the inside looks like it's not renovated on at least 30 years. That's the only negative. We really injoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The staff has been extremely helpful and accomodating. The building itself wasn't the most modern but it was clear that it was recently renovated and all the spaces were increadibly clean and functional. Me and my partner aren't big fans of rocky beaches but the way it was arranged at the hotel was so that you could enjoy the sea and sunbath in peace. It is a bit out of the noise and movida of the main beach, which we really enjoyed. The sea view is fantastic.

Excellent B&B. Francesco and Gabriel are fantastic hosts. The property is very welcoming and the garden very pleasant. We were able to check in early which was appreciated as we travel with our motorcycle. The bike was parked just in front of our bedroom and the property has a secure gate. The room was spacious, impeccably clean and the bed very comfortable. As for the breakfast, you get to choose what you want (juices, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, coffee, tea, bread, croissant...). We took the bus from the bus terminal (around 1.5Km away by foot from the property) to go to Taormina: We recommend this option as 1 - it is cheap (3 euros per adult for 2 way trip) 2 - you won't have the traffic and difficulty parking in Taormina who was already very busy mid-May. We were able to pay cash in the bus.

First and foremost, the host is what every host should be: funny, attentive to details, welcoming and full of recommendations about the surroundings. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, relaxing and delightful. Every morning, there was a selection of local products, juices and sweets. The best part is that you enjoy your breakfast on the green terrace and you see ``mama Etna`` afar off. During our five days here, my husband, my friends and I had a great time, smiled at each other, had many chats on the beautiful garden, as a welcome start to each day before we set off on our trips to Taormina or Messina, and long afternoons on Giardini's best beaches.

This property is a big villa inside an amazing fruit garden with tropical fruit trees. It has great view of Etna from the breakfast terrace and the common balcony. Gabriel and Francesco were the nicest hosts imaginable, Gabriel picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and shared all the necessary information about Giardini Naxos and the area. Everyday we were served with a nice breakfast with a selection of pastries, sweet and sour treats, fresh coffee and juices, and local nuts grown right there next to the villa. The room was spacious and clean, we had our own small balcony. Our stay felt like we were visiting our new family.

A beautiful villa with an incredible view of Mount Etna — the setting was truly breathtaking and peaceful - a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Taormina. Communication was excellent throughout. Emanuele and Gabriele were kind, responsive, and attentive, and their father gave us a warm welcome with a helpful overview of the town. He took the time to show us a map with bus stops and pointed out local attractions and recommendations, which really helped us make the most of our visit. Breakfast was another highlight — made to order and served with fresh oranges and walnuts straight from the garden. A lovely, authentic touch in a stunning setting.

This was our first trip with our infant twins. Emanuele and his family made us feel so welcomed! I felt spoiled when they had two cribs and two high chairs with two bins of baby necessities all set up and ready for us. It was so nice to feel like someone else was thinking about the fine details. the breakfast was awesome every morning, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! The AC in the rooms worked wonderfully, and made for a very comfortable sleep at night and during our babies’ naps. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are a young family.

Its well maintained, clean and you can see the effort they put in every day to make it look wonderful. Great pool and a nice garden. We definitely recommend this place.

We stayed in 2 double rooms with terrace (unit 8 & 9) which were very spacious and beds super comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Pool area is very big with bar serving delicious cocktails and snacks. Staff were all helpful and friendly especially Christian at the bar, Gabriele, Sofia, Marianna and the pool boys. I will surely spend another weekend at this resort.

The service at this place is absolutely magnificent. All members of the staff are friendly and very helpful in any situation. The place is very clean and the breakfast is very good. Also the lighter meals served at the poolbar are good and come in large portions. The poolarea and the view of Etna is breathtaking.

Very nice hotel in retro style. We got a sea view room and it was really wonderful. Very welcoming and polite staff. Good location in front of the pebble beach. All the comments mentioning old rooms and furniture are correct, but this is what makes it special. Furniture and rooms look old, but more as in 'retro' and not as in 'broken or heavily worn'. Everything is working fine and is as good as new, and it's all part of the hotel's charm. It definitely doesn't need any renovation, then it would just become the same as any other "new" hotel in any other place.

Everything was great at this Hotel runned my Miryam and her family. Even though it is old Hotel built in 1971 everything is working perfectly and spotless. Nice rooms with balcony that are being cleaned every day. Sunbeds are free of charge. They let us check out at 14h because we had a evening flight. Safe parking

This hotel is pure perfection to me. Not only is it spectacularly beautiful, on every level, but everyone who works there is warm, charming and goes out of their way to make sure you have a perfect stay. The room itself was stunning, with a view to take your breath away. I actually spent hours just sitting on the terrace, just looking out. The pool was perfectly heated and beautifully kept. The food was lush, the music in the bar was a joy to listen to, the bed was heavenly, and I loved the nighttime pillow that one steps onto as one leaves the bed - like sinking your feet into a cloud. All the amenities were beautiful. Very generous arrival gifts, too. I stayed at several of the best hotels in Taormina, but the Grand Hotel Timeo was my favourite - by far. The excellence started from check-in and stayed with me long after check-out. A dream come true!

Our recent visit to the GHT was just exceptional in every respect. The reception, front desk, guest services and concierge teams are welcoming, resourceful and dedicated to making a visit to Taormina and this world class hotel a wonderful experience. Breakfast, dinners and cocktails come with a truly magnificent view of the sea and Mt Etna. The Michelin rated restaurant Otto Geleng is a memorable experience. The wine service reflects their expertise and attentiveness to their guests. The hotel is right near the iconic Greek Theater which is convenient for browsing the shops and sites in the beautiful town. There is a shuttle that takes you down to Villa St Andrea, the sister property by the sea, if you want to go to the beach. There is a spa for wellness. The pool is very well managed. Housekeeping and room service are attentive and very efficient.

The Grand Hotel Timeo just seems to get better and better you would not think it could be improved but it just excels every time you visit this is our 4th time. The place has the enviable setting of the most amazing backdrop of the Teatro to the rear where we seen Simple Minds play a concert the last of their 2025 tour, and then the front view of Naxos bay with Mount Etna as a backdrop just amazing.The whole Team remember you and call you by your name it makes you feel special the little gifts they give around the pool ice cream, fresh fruit, sun tan lotion and at no extra cost!! Also the gifts they leave you at night without doubt the best Hotel I have ever stayed in and will definitely return

This is an incredible property. Four Seasons is nice, but full of pretense and doesnt feel authentic. This property is ITALY, it is SICILY. The resort is magnificent. The views are best in town. The room was amazing, even the bathroom had a view. The staff-well, everyone should go there to learn from them. They know all the guests by their name. They are kind, attentive, go out of their way. This place offers so much for the value-free water, free fruit, free ice cream at the pool. Throughout the day you are getting snacks, all in the price. One of a kind experience and having travelled to many top hotels in the world, this takes the prize.

As a woman with long hair I also appreciated the top class hair dryer in the hotel room!

The hotel, location, size , professional staff, all made our stay fantastic. The pizza at the pool bar was the best we had all over Italy! My only negative was the price of wines by the glass, and it seemed that unless you specify a particular price range (which I learned quickly to do) they poured a very pricey option, $25-30/glass!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Sant’Andrea. The hotel is next to a cliff with sea views. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, ours had a huge private terrace with views. Also the pool and beach were amazing. I can definitely recommend it!

We stayed in the apartment with the balcony, and it was amazing! The balcony was huge, with a good view (slightly obscured by a palm tree), and the beds were super comfortable. The apartment had beautiful decor, a washing machine/drier, kitchen, and two bathrooms, with fancy toiletries. The hotel itself was close by, and has a pool and gym, which we didn't use because it was too cold for the pool and the treadmill was self-powered (also, gym didn't open til 9). But it was nice to have those amenities available as well. The breakfast is a little pricy (25 Euro), but very nice, with many options, and the view from the restaurant is lovely.

I had read reviews but they don’t do justice to this fabulous hotel. We stayed in an apartment. It was incredible. Of all of our time in Italy traveling this was the best. The staff was friendly and lovely to work with. We ate dinner in their restaurant. Normally I stay away from hotel restaurants but I had the Sicilian style grouper. It was the best dinner I had in the 3 weeks I have been traveling. The waiters and staff were wonderful. The views from the restaurant are beautiful, overlooking the water. They have a lovely pool and small workout room if you want to use it. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fabulous four night stay in Villa Carlotta, beautiful hotel with staff that can’t do enough for you, breakfast was gorgeous with plenty of hot and cold options. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea and the pool area, spotlessly clean with a great shower. Short walk in to town and really near a beautiful park. Easily reached by bus. Will definitely be going back to Taormina and Villa Carlotta.

What an amazing place! Fantastic accommodating people working there, beautiful, clean, and charming facilities, and perfect location for walking to all the sights. They have thought of everything: water in the room, comfortable bedding, hair dryer, fluffy towels. That is coupled with beautifully designed gardens, a sumptuous breakfast on a rooftop terrace, a warm pool with convenient bar and luxe towels, etc. This really is a gem!

This hotel is wonderful. I stayed two nights here and two nights at the Belmond on the water. This hotel was in a great location. Staff was amazing and the whole experience was perfect. I recommend booking ahead to get the best options. Only wish the pool played music.

I stayed here in June 2024 with three girlfriends and we had a fantastic time. We stayed in the two bed with garden next to the beach gate. The house was adorable; clean, cool and comfortable with all we needed for our week. We played cards in the garden and big lunches on the dining table. AC was great, loads of hot water. Being so close to Mazzaró beach was amazing - we could easily pop back during the day for anything we needed. We also paid to use the various beach club lounges some days. The proximity to the cable car for Taormina was ideal, and it was easy to grab arancini from the mini markets. I loved staying here.

We enjoyed our stay in Villaggio Placido. Lovely small villa village in a good location. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was very close to beautiful beaches and the Isola Bella. It was also easy to get to the centre of Taormina by the cable car. During the night there were small cute lizards hanging around in the area and during the day you could hear birds singing. I liked that it felt like there was nature and animals close to you.

This place was truly amazing, for us - honestly a little piece of paradise. From the moment we stepped inside we were stunned at how spacious and well equipped it was. The kitchen had absolutely everything you need, the beds were very comfortable and the views were killer... To top it all off we had access to a private beach only 3 minutes away from the property. It exceeded our expectations x 1000. Thank you so much for the beautiful stay x

The location is simple but fabulous, close to bus or cable car up to Taormina and Isola Bella. A walk down many stairs to the public beach. It’s important to note that it is accommodation only without any breakfast or food supplies, you would need to buy that upon arrival. coffee and tea was made available in room. Staff was welcoming and friendly!

We loved everything about this property. The check in was easy, Massimo met us at the property with the keys, wine and fresh fruit. He had a list of restaurant suggestions, one of the places was just a few steps away. Honestly, I believe that the location of this property is one of the best in Taormina. The cable car to get up into the main part of the town is a very short walk away, the beach is just steps away and the view is spectacular. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I had an unforgettable stay in this stunning apartment with a breathtaking direct view of Isola Bella. The apartment was spotless, with all new and clean amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the A/C worked perfectly, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The location was ideal—just steps from the beach and main road, yet surprisingly peaceful. Owner Massimo was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to assist with everything. This is undoubtedly the best spot in Taormina and offers unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended!

The location was brilliant! Massimo was such a helpful host, he sorted any questions very quickly. The beach can get busy so was very nice to go down the steps for a dip in the sea and then escape the crowds back to sunbathe/chill in their lovely garden. We thought we wouldn't get much use out of the hot tub but we were in it every day- nice to cool off with a few beers in there. The complimentary wine/fruit was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved it so much and would return in a heartbeat. The hosts were absolutely excellent and VERY ACCOMMODATING to all our needs and wants. Upon arrival, they gave us a complimentary bottle of the most amazing Sicilian white wine - a Grillo - which was one of the most amazing white wines I have ever tasted. Massimo looked after us and gave us great recommendations for places to visit and to eat. Cannot speak highly enough. Loved it in EVERY WAY. Thank you to Rocco and Massimo, you both are fantastic. We had a perfect stay here and would thoroughly recommend the apartment. Everything was as lovely as it looks in the photos - spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The location was perfect. A few steps to the beach and minutes walk away from the cable car up to Taormina. For us it could not have been better. And the view from the apartment and terrace was stunning. It's a very quirky hotel, overlooked by the brooding volcano behind. The atmosphere owes a lot to the history of the site, upcycling and exhibiting machinery and objects used there. There are a variety of room types, and we were in a ground floor room by the pool. The breakfast was continental supplemented by local produce and bakeries, especially the home made jams and yogurts! The pool area was clean and well kept. Plenty of sunbeds and a covered lounge area, with an afternoon pool bar. Giarre itself is a 20 minute walk with a good rail link. The local village is unremarkable with few bars and eateries. It was a good location as a base for exploring Etna and surrounding locations. Having a car or driver, or being part of a travelling group adds to the value of this gem of a hotel.

Stayed here for two nights to visit Etna. Lovely old manor house with good pool area and views of Etna. Organised day trip, thorough the hotel, to Etna with Etna Trouvatura and had a brilliant day. Enjoyed the pool. Not sure it is the kind of place to stay in for a week though as nowhere to wander out for a meal, apart from the lovely restaurant next door. If you book, ask for a room with a pool view- they also have a little seating area outside where you can sit in the evening, and look towards Etna.

Hotel Etna is a perfect base to explore the eastern side of Sicily with the slightly northern town of Taormina's castle ruins, delicate streets and spectacular views within a 10 minute car ride, with easy parking costing just a couple of euro's. Further south from Giarre, around a 30 minute drive is the town of Siracusa which makes for a brilliant day out! For ten euro's per adult (and free parking!!), you gain entry to wander around old ampitheatre's and ruins, fountains and lush gardens with small stalls around selling tourist bits. The town of Giarre itself has small cobbled streets with a random selection of shopping, good for half a day out followed by relaxing at the hotel pool, which has spectacular views (and sounds) of Mount Etna. The hotel was perfect as well, large clean rooms with large bathrooms and a fully stocked fridge every day (the prices for drinks match those of the nearby garage). Breakfast was always very fresh with italian coffee made to order. The pool had plenty of sun loungers, and a lovely shaded area to eat lunch (Id recommend the hotels "Piadina" for lunch!) Dinner at the hotels restaurant was slightly on the expensive side but was well worth it due to how fresh and well cooked it all was. Did take some time for the food to arrive but if you want quality, you have to wait for it to be cooked. The staff couldnt do enough for you and Id recommend the Etna tour as the guide was brilliant! Definately stay at the Hotel Etna!!!

This hotel was pure perfection. 3 kid, my wife and I, were there for 10 days in July 2025. The hotel is visually beautiful, the pool was so clean and well kept. The service for dinners was high end restaurant style and the staff were amazing. From reception staff who go above and beyond for any requests you have, to the cleaners who work hard, do an amazing job and always have a smile and a "bonjourno" in the passing. Last but not least, the taxi service they call for you were also amazing. Father and 2 sons run one 7 seater taxi, and we ended up using them daily via their personal WhatsApp. 2 of our kids have slight autism and struggle with noisy crowds. This hotel doesn't have a huge amount of rooms. So the numbers were low and the type of guests were respectable and easy going people. It made a big difference for us around the pool and obviously through the night for sleeping. To top it all off, we had a famous volcano as a backdrop. We loved you, Etna Hotel, and we will be back.

Hotel Etna is a lovely oasis in the middle of 'sort of nowhere'. I chose the hotel because it wasn't in a touristy area but I didn't realise just how bad the public transport in Sicily was going to be. Nor how expensive taxis are. I felt rather frustrated and trapped half of the time because I couldn't just hop on a bus/train. If I had my time again I would definitely hire a car. Some reviews have mentioned a bad breakfast / restaurant experience but don't listen to them - Hotel Etna breakfast has a wonderful variety of fresh food. And the adjoining restaurant is lovely and relaxed with a good menu and wine list. The swordfish with almond crust was particularly good. I found the hotel room very comfortable and clean and wi-fi was a huge bonus - esp as I was at war with British Airways for losing my luggage, so being online, for free, was a huge relief. Finally, the pool area was well maintained and the pool itself clean despite the many children and amount of sunscreen no doubt that ends up in it.

Peppie always welcomed us warmly, my wife found him very charming and I must say, being sent off each day with such cheer is the right way to begin. I loved being so near to the beach and would rise early to swim and then go into the friendly village for coffee. I really felt I could have taken up that style of life. but back to the hotel, I can say it is spotlessly clean, our room was tidied daily, we has an enormous firm mattress and a balcony large enough for a decent party. The trains in the night certainly were loud but didn't disturb me so I find it hard to say anything against this hotel. I'd love to return

Owners are superb - they meet you at the entrance and the family/owners are so sweet and friendly, yet they respect your privacy and not clingy. Room was super clean and towels and all changed every day. Spacious room with parking within our view - which was a bonus since car was used to store shopping!:). Within walking distance to the sea, a drive from Toarmina but still worth.

The hotel is old but very clean. The room is also spacious. At the reception they will welcome you right away. The location is also close to taormina about 30mins it’s a perfect place to stay if you want to visit taormina.

The host is an incredibly lovely man. The place is very clean, our room had nice balcony. Hotel is located next to the railway station and is close to the beach. We had everything we needed there. I recommend this place to everyone!

Fick fel rum först, men efter två dagar fick vi ett jättefint rum! väldigt lyhört från ovanvåningen, gör ju inget dagtid. Men på natten är det jobbigt. fanns ingen bar på hotellet, och inte gratis vatten i kylen, och ingen vattenkokare eller kaffemaskin som det står att det ska finnas.Men det gjorde oss inget! frukosten var lite torftig och tråkig! vi fick även uppfattningen att det skulle finnas pool och en egen strand...men det fanns inte! men det är ju jättenära till stranden. vi trivdes jättebra! väldigt rent och fräscht! kommer att bo där fler gånger!

Wir haben auf Grund einer sehr kurzfristigen Stornierung unseres eigentlichen Hotels eine Umbuchung auf dieses hier erhalten. Lage ist wirklich top, direkt am Meer und an der großen Promenade (Clubs, bars, Restaurants). Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse gut ( Brötchen, Croissant, Käse, Wurst Nutella Marmelade Kaffee und Müsli), es war immer sauber und die Klimaanlage ging super. Das Personal ist super nett. Alles in allem wirklich top allerdings haben wir auch nur ca die Hälfte von dem gezahlt was eigentlich zu zahlen ist, dann ist es wiederum etwas teuer.

The beach was 2 minutes walk away Great location with lots of great places to eat Fantastic receptionist and staff who were so pleasant and friendly and could not do enough for us. Every request was handled immediately and efficiently. My only complaint was the mattress was too soft and made my back ache Everything else was perfect

Studio super bien conçu avec tout ce qu’il faut! Très propre. Accueil très sympa. La situation de l’hôtel est parfaite proche de la plage et de tout ce qu’on peut avoir besoin. Et le petit déjeuner est servi copieusement dans une salle très agréable. Le tout pour un prix très correct!

Очень удобное расположение. Пляж, транспорт, кафе и рестораны - все в шаговой доступности. Кофе на завтрак....это не кофе...но в номере есть капсульная кофе-машина, можно купить капсулы и наслаждаться. Очень отзывчивый и внимательный обслуживающий персонал. В номере есть все необходимое.
