This was the perfect resort to getaway. Whether you want to just relax in your personal pool or find adventure in an excursion, you can find it all there. The staff was always friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The views were breathtaking, no matter where you were. In our room we woke up to beautiful sunrises and at the pool you could watch the unreal sunsets. Definitely a great find! We will be back!

This place is amazing! Service is beyond good. These folks will take care of EVERYTHING for you. Plunge pool rooms make you never want to leave. Room rates aren’t cheap, but other costs, e.g. food, are quite reasonable. Construction is going on around the base of the hill that the hotel sits on, typically 8 - 4pm. Depending on your room, could be annoying. Property feels very safe. Sunsets are spectacular!

I can’t say enough about the four seasons in general. You really get what you pay for, with top notch customer service and amenities. Not my first stay at a four seasons property and they gave me a significant upgrade to a wonderful room with its own plunge pool. This place is a dream. It was very hard to leave. So many free activities, 24 hour service, amazing hospitality and 5 awesome restaurants to choose from. The really did it all with this property. I am very happy four seasons customer and I will continue to stay at their properties ever chance I can. This resort is in the quiet area of peninsula Papagayo and if you’re look to recharge this is your spot. Peace and serenity defines this. We did a scuba excursion through the resort, enjoyed all the good foods and two beautiful beaches surrounding the resort. This a must stay place!!!

Of course we had high expectations for a Four Seasons Hotel, but several in the staff made us feel quite at home. Adolfo (food & bev director) introduced himself to us and greeted us days later at poolside by name (!). Giovanna was always there, providing the best in concierge service. The location was great giving us the choice of ocean, bayside (with free kayaks, paddleboards & snorkel equipment), or poolside (with/without children). It was just what we needed for a getaway from our normal stressful lives.....

This is the best Four Seasons I have stayed at. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. I love the WhatsApp chat for easy communication. The surf school was a hit with the kids and they loved the ropes course/zip line expedition. The food is all really nice quality and I like that there is no single-use cheap plastic cups around the pool, it's all nice drinkwear. Nightly my kids enjoyed the free offerings like churros station, s'mores, ice cream buffet,etc. They also loved the teen club to make bracelets and play basketball. Bahia restaurant was great - shout out to Cheeky (best server!) and Beto.

Excellent service, the food was outstanding. I fell in love with the beaches, the water was clear and the temperature was pleasing. The hotel itself (rooms, pool, etc) is not that different to other properties, but everything gets executed with attention to detail and striving for perfection. Finally, the music selection was absolutely awesome: chill, relaxing. Costa Rica has many great hotels, but sometimes the music is annoying. The Four Seasons has the best taste in music ever.

The Four Seasons Resort in Papagayo is amazing! It is the perfect location with 2 beaches and 3 pools! Amazing food and terrific staff! We will be coming back again!

Hotels.com has the location marked wrong on the map. It is NOT anywhere close to the beach. Luckily I was able to hitch a ride into Tamarindo and get a rental car for the duration of my stay. I probably would not have considered this place if it was marked correctly on the map, but I'im glad I stayed here. That being said, everything else about this place is great! Nice modern kitchen and outdoor grill. Everything was newly renovated and very clean. AC was nice and cold. My only gripe was that the shower sloped away from the drain resulting in a persistent puddle that gets kind of gross.

This is truly the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in my life. It felt like I had my own private mini mansion. Private pool for the rental, mostly glass walls made it feel like I was living in the jungle, Paulo was an incredible host and was very responsive, the list goes on and on, all of the amenities, even yoga mats waiting for us… If this place is in your budget, stay here!!!

We loved our stay at Quin! The manager was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is beautiful and well equipped. Excellent location as well!

This is a brand new boutique hotel so parts were unfinished (like the spa though in-room spa services were available). We had a standard king room close to the pool. It’s comfortable with indoor/outdoor shower, plenty of closet space and a mini fridge. The outdoor space is quite small but we spent most of our time on the loungers at the pool area which is lovely. The management and staff are very welcoming and helpful.

We took a leap of faith by deciding to stay at a place so new that it has no reviews and that literally opened the day of our arrival. Thankfully, it paid off. At arrival we were greeted by the hotel owners Miriam and Jaime who were very excited to meet their first hotel guests. Their hospitality and attentiveness, as well as that of the hotel’s staff, throughout our long stay never wavered; going above and beyond. Our experience felt very personal and intimate. Also, it was very easy to communicate with them using the Esh Whatsapp number, and they arranged for us dinners and activities with local recommendations also. The Selva Suite Garden room was similar enough to the pictures with the exception of the private garden which seemed smaller than in the photos and not so private. We particularly liked the room vibe and design, the double outdoor rain showers and the closet space. As with any new operation there were kinks, but the Esh team handled any concerns we highlighted extremely well. Food at the hotel restaurant was good, with some dishes tasting better than others. We particularly liked the baja style fish taco, aguachile, and the grilled avocado salad. The spa and wellness center were not ready but we still did complimentary yoga in the mornings at the pool deck. There is a sauna however we did not use it. Overall, we had a pleasant and very personal stay at Esh thanks to the Esh team and we look forward to return in the future.

We went to this resort for our honeymoon. It is in the town of Nosara - a beach town that is approximately 5 hour drive from San Jose airport. We opted for small plane Green Airways on our return. Located off the beaten path, this resort is truly relaxing, quiet and beautiful. It opened 2 months prior to our stay, so everything looks brand new. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The multi level pool is clean and beautiful and the restaurant has an excellent menu. They arranged transportation via a side-by-side to the beaches: Playa Pelada, and Playa Guiones. Both beaches are beautiful. Overall, highly recommend it.

Husband and wife team, Jaime and Miriam, knocked the hotel out of the park! Esh is obviously stunningly designed, but it’s their gracious bright personalities that really make the hotel extra special. We loved lounging by the pool and got four solid nights of sleep. The entire staff is warm and friendly, especially Andres, the bar manager, who we thoroughly enjoyed talking to on multiple occasions. With unique events and wellness focused activities well under way, there’s no doubt Esh’s star will continue to shine. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We stayed in unit 10 which had a private pool. Great view in bath water pool is the way to go. We had a great time.

Waking up to bird chirping and viewing sunset from pool is absolutely breathtaking . You need a car to commute . Taxis/ uber needs to be booked in advance . Breakfast options are limited. Pool / jacuzzi should be open till later in the evening . We enjoyed the pool table and chess in the late evening with kids.

We enjoyed it very much ! This is a less hectic area in the other side of the lake around 45 minute drive from fortuna. The food was good and the staff very kind! The view of the sunset from our bungalow was breathtaking. The room was really nice and clean, comfortable and quiet The bar and the pool closed a little earlier than we expected and if you are in Costa Rica in vacation having the pool closed a 7 pm is a bummer especially with the weather. But overall this is a place I would love to go back and will recommend.

This property is fantastic . My wife and I stayed two days and loved it . The view is amazing . The staff were great . Everyone was so friendly and great service . You need a car to go see the attractions that are about 30 minutes away. The bar and restaurant are great . They even have a pool table and other games . Also just next door there is another great restaurant . Our villa was great with a porch overlooking the lake . Pool and hot tub was very nice . We will defiantly come back ! Check in and check out were easy .

Such a lovely place with friendly staff, nice breakfasts, great views over the lake, and a nice private room. Pool was lovely with views, with a hot and cold pool available. Great to have a rental car to get around the area, but I would definitely stay here again.

This place is amazing! Our second time here and we got a villa this time. Totally worth it! The villa is spacious, clean and a private pool was so amazing to have. Cala Luna feels safe as we traveled with our 3 kids. 2 teens and 6 year old. We are already planning our next trip back. We had Jose as our tour guide to Rio Celest and he knows everything about everything in the rainforest and about Costa Rica.

Me, my wife and son had a great time at Cala Luna. Its a unique setup indeed, with paths snaking through the jungle en-route to your room or villa. We arrived at night and it was rather impressive. The staff were friendly, professional and very attentive. The chefs/cooks are top notch. We had a secluded deluxe room which was really nice and private(until other guests arrived in the adjoining room). It was very clean with a soaker tub you can skate board in. The room isn't that large but was fine for us. Only small issue was the fact that there was a room attached and we could hear through the walls easily if you have loud neighbors. This was only for the last night before we left in the morning so I think they schedule the guests in a manner to help avoid this which was appreciated. The cleaning staff was very efficient. The beach was a short fun walk down a path at the rear near our room. We saw howler monkeys overhead, an eagle/hawk?(lol), and some other wildlife withing the hotel grounds. you might hear some action on your roof at night :). probably why you cant open the room windows. The hotel is in an awesome location, the perfect distance from the action to get peaceful nights and close enough to get the center of it all in minutes. Next time I think we will stay in one of the 2 bedroom villas they have with a private pool, private parking and separate entrance. I highly recommend Cala Luna. Pua Vida!

Beautiful small resort with dense jungle paths and lovely pool. Serene and very eco-friendly. Food was amazing and made from scratch with organic, plant-forward ingredients and fresh fish. Vegan options. Staff was great. Our king room was huge with double rain head showers. Beach is a very short walk past the pool, but small with rocks. Can easily walk to better beaches though. $5 ride into Tamarindo or walkable. If you want to be away from the busyness of Tamarindo, like we did, it's a great option. Already miss the food and the monkeys! Best green salad ever!

We had a wonderful stay. There was an issue with an air-conditioning unit which was fixed quickly and efficiently. The villa's private pools were lovely. The hotel pool kept us entertained with the monkeys in the trees above our heads. Great buffet breakfast included which set us up for the day.

My husband and I stayed at Cala Luna for four nights in February and had a great experience there. We enjoyed the boutique nature of the hotel and while all the rooms were full, it never felt overwhelming or like there were too many people around. While it is situated on the beach, it’s very rocky and not really swimmable, however, there is a complementary happy hour every night during sunset. We went to Playa Tamarindo to surf (Cala Luna offers lessons for $50 pp) and Playa Avellanos for relaxation (highly recommend). We also spent time at Cala Luna’s pool, which was refreshing and we never had trouble getting chairs. The food was great – wonderful breakfast buffet (included in our stay) and lots of fresh, healthy options for lunch and dinner. The fish cooked in papaya curry was particularly good. The service went above and beyond – the entire staff was friendly and hospitable and the front desk was helpful with suggestions and arranging taxis into town when we didn’t feel like walking. We also took advantage of the complementary yoga and workout classes, which were a nice offer and helped break up all the sitting around and drinking! The only downside to Cala Luna was the beds, particularly the pillows which we found to be really lumpy and the bedding which was a little too light when you have the A/C on. Kind of disappointing to pay $300+/night and not get great sleep, but all in all we still had a good time here and would recommend to anyone looking for a boutique hotel e

Quiet, peaceful and convenient location about 10-15 minutes from the center of Tamarindo and beaches. Fresh delicious breakfast every morning. Super helpful manager and staff. We stayed in a suite which was spacious and well stocked; took advantage of the plunge pool which was refreshing in the heat. Also enjoyed the peacock friends :)

Incredible first class attention from Arnoldo, all the staff and the chef. Rooms are spacious, new and clean, and the private pool is just excellent. The smaller size of the hotel allows you to receive an ad-personam treatment that it’s impossible to get even at the best hotel chains. Totally recommended!

This place (the "Epic Boutique Hotel Tamarindo", Costa Rica) is an oasis, offering both family suites and couples (which each come with an individual small pool) there is a larger pool, and everyone can use. The breakfasts are delicious, made with love, each day offering a new Costa Rica inspired flavor (you can also request a traditional omelet, egg made your way and more). Arnold and the rest of the staff are fantastic, making sure your every need is met, restaurants recommended, offering favorite spots to visit, and more. Arnold set up a yoga instructor to come on site, it was wonderful. This spot is an oasis for those couples needing to reconnect, girl and guy friend get away, looking to sit at a bon fire and catch up, swim in the morning sun , families looking for a great spot away from the busy beaches, but close enough to be at flamingo or Tamarindo within a 10-20 min drive. Cannot say enough great things, this is boutique, catered experience, come see for yourselves ♥️💕😎

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had a casita with our own private plunge pool, it was awesome. Very clean, food at the restaurant was very good. The only downside would be the drive there. We had to cross a river without a bridge! Andre at the concierge was super friendly, as well as all the waiters and bar staff.

Fantastic place! The staff is simply incredible!!! From the concierge to service at the restaurant wonderful - 5 days was too short!!!! We got upgraded to a villa (we had booked 2 rooms) with a private pool! There is a shuttle to take you aroundl the site is simply wonderful! A true 5 star hotel!!!!!

Hotel Punta Islita is gorgeous! It took us just over 2 hours to get to the hotel from Liberia airport. The driver was very accommodating, stopping for us to use a bathroom and shop for a few snacks and things to have in our room. The driver also stopped to point out monkeys, a crocodile and birds along the way. Even though Punta Islita is out of the way and secluded, the site is incredibly beautiful and well worth the 2 hour drive. Service was fantastic and the food was terrific. The resort was completely full during our stay and yet we never felt the hotel was crowded. The entire staff seemed eager to make personal connections with each of us which made our stay extra special. The deluxe room was a bit tight for our family of three, but doable. The beds were very comfortable. The room was kept very clean and housekeeping paid attention to details. My cousin's family of four stayed in a villa with a plunge pool and full kitchen which was more than enough space for them. The stairs leading to and from most rooms in the resort would be a challenge for those with any physical issues. However, there are shuttles that will take you just about anywhere you'd like to go. The beach was amazing!!! Be sure to wear shoes that can get wet because of some rocks and the scorching hot sand on the way to the water. The waves were perfect; the water was crystal clear and refreshing. We hated to leave! We will definitely return to this hotel!

This was one of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The staff were amazing - service A+, the views so breathtaking we did not want to leave after 4 luxurious, relaxing days in a beautiful villa with incredible views, superb activities (we witnessed a sea turtle laying its eggs on a storm on a remote beach one evening, macaw wildlife reserve, kayaking down Ora River to the ocean.. ) . The restaurant food was first rate and the prices were exceptionally reasonable considering the remoteness of the resort. We would return in an instant. A must for the bucket list. We even had a band of howler monkeys visit our villa backyard one evening as we swam in our own lap pool.. the hotel pool (next to the restaurant - has to be seen to be believed... the views.... GO GO GO ...

This is a great hotel for family and couples. There is a gorgeous adults only pool, as well as a family friendly pool by the beach. Gorgeous location and views. The two restaurants are very good, but there is only one other option in the nearby town, unless you want to drive a very far distance. Also, all activities need to be planned through the hotel, because of its remote location. But, if you are looking to relax on a gorgeous beach and take in the views - or, are willing to venture out on your own for a distance- this is the perfect place.

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Liberia and we're so glad we did as it rounded our stay exceptionally well. This place is so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the pool area with the swim up bar. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a seating area outside where you can listen to the monkeys and the birds. Watching the sunset from the viewing area was a big highlight. Shout out to the staff particularly Brandon who were so friendly and welcoming. They are very accommodating with organising transport to and from the hotel. Would love to come back!

We stayed for a few nights at Suitree in Feb 2024 and returned for a quick stay in Feb 2025. This time we stayed in one of the ground level units and we loved it! Huge bathroom, very comfortable bed and bedding. The 3 secluded stone pools are great and the pool bar is wonderful for a drink. Great service and food in the restaurant. We will likely stay here again on another visit to Costa Rica. Note: We stayed in a tower room last year and a ground-level room this year. Though the views from the towers are worth the stay, we preferred the larger floor plan and bathroom of the ground level unit (Laurel) that we had this year. We are in our early 70's and not having to make the climb was better for us. The pools and restaurant are an easier access from the ground level units, the tower rooms are scattered as you proceed up the hillside.

Very new and interesting property; there were garden suites and treehouses. We stayed in a garden suite which was well appointed and close to the main pool and restaurant (maybe a little too close). The bed was great and the feather pillows a delight. The observation treehouse was fantastic, the secondary pool was very private and secluded. The restaurant was very good, with a varied menu and delicious meals and drinks. The reception desk was super helpful with our questions, and arranged for massages (also top notch). The property is a short distance to the beaches which is also nice if you want to go off for a day trip.

Absolutely beautiful elevated suites with highly original wooden design and decor. The six suites are built into a steep sided hillside, reached via block paved track with a series of hairpins, negotiated on foot or by golf buggy. We stayed in the lowest suite at eye level with the surrounding trees. Superb for birding and reptiles. Breakfast is bespoke a la carte and high quality. The triple stone pools are beautiful for cooling off but too small to swim properly. We spent a morning here by ourselves, our own pool.

Amazing location and rooms were immaculately presented. Great pool areas and food was fantastic and beverages in pool swimming was fun.

The studio has an amazing view and the small private pool makes a huge highlight. Full privacy and silence, perfect for a weekend getaway.

A friend and I stayed at this resort for one week and every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. From the minute we arrived, we were met with nothing short of impeccable service. Every employee at this resort went above the highest bar to ensure we had the best experience as first-time visitors of Costa Rica. The servers at the restaurant did an amazing job in making us feel welcomed during each visit and went out of their way to give us special experiences, such as preparing a table for us along their beachfront. Abi, the concierge, also went above and beyond to ensure all of our itinerary-related needs were taken care of and immediately addressed any concerns we had in the most efficient, professional matter. The conditions of the resort, the amenities (i.e, the pool at the top of the resort), and the views we had from our two-person villa were also amazing. Overall, I highly recommend BPV to anyone who wants to visit Costa Rica and know this will be my go-to place when I come back.

This is a lovely little resort. Clean, well maintained and super friendly staff. We stayed in villa 20 which was perfect for the two of us. Beautiful grassy area and nice little patio with a slight view of the ocean. Easy walk to the restaurant and beach although coming back is uphill. Pools were clean and the small bay was quiet. My only complaint ( if you can call it that) is the room amenities. No maid service, no coffee or any condiments needed to cook any food you may have brought. Not a huge deal but considering the restaurant does not open til noon, at least coffee should be provided. There are no ice machines or any typical amenities you might expect. For us, these were minor issues. We absolutely would stay here again!

Incredible place! It is off the beaten track which is what we wanted - no crowds- but once we arrived it was an oasis of beautiful homes tucked into a cove with its own private beach. We were often the only ones on the beach during the week of our stay. Plus an amazing restaurant right there, as well as pools, beachside massages, and a very welcoming and helpful staff. They made our stay so easy and enjoyable, and even arranged a sailing tour which picked us up right at the private beach! There is 24 hour security as well. Would recommend a car so you can also explore the area and get groceries etc. fantastic and lovely place, we plan return!!!

This is an outstanding value. Despite coming during March break, the resort was quiet and very relaxing. The unit we stayed in (24) was very clean, modern and in excellent condition. The beach is a sheltered alcove with black sand and pretty rocks to climb around and explore. The water was calm which is great for splashing, relaxing and swimming but not if you are expecting to play in pounding surf. The pool is well maintained with excellent views to the ocean. The food at Picante the restaurant was universally very good - especially the seafood and rice. We will return again.

Casa Melosa was our tropical heaven for my family's Christmas vacation. Everything about it was awesome. The house was big enough to accommodate our family of 10 with plenty of room to spare for our personal space. Maryanne, the owner, was always available and Ricardo was able to handle any problem that came up. Sonia was amazing and always kept the house pristine. We all enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. The house was perfect and contributed to an unforgettable Christmas vacation. I highly recommend it.

I’m a mental health clinician and sound bath healer, and I visit Costa Rica quarterly for self-care. I’ve stayed on different properties, but my two-week stay at Casa Melosa exceeded my expectations from my previous experiences. Casa Melosa has restored and rejuvenated my soul. God revealed more of my life purpose and direction for my future. The compound is beautiful, with many plants, trees, wildlife, privacy, and hideaways to meditate, pray, or relax. CM is very tranquil and just minutes away from the beach. If you come in April/May as we did, you’ll see mangoes everywhere on the ground, and like locals, I pick them up and start eating. Most importantly, the Owner, Mary Anne, Staff, Sandra, Adrian, Ricardo, etc., epitomized professionalism, attentiveness, cheerfulness, and caring. Lastly, the on-site security was an added benefit. Thank you, Casa Melosa, for protecting, loving, and replenishing my mind, body, and spirit these past two weeks. I will see you soon.

Great resort with great staff. The only areas that need improvement are: 1. The dinner food isn't the best. 2. the pool chairs at the main pool area don't match and aren't as comfortable as the adult pool and beach club chairs.

This was a great place to get away and do nothing! The resort is nice and peaceful, with great pools, awesome service, and a relaxing vibe. The staff were all completely great. Juan Carlos, Lizbeth, Marcos, Carlos, Jose and more. The room was excellent, and gave me bathroom remodel ideas. We enjoyed the porch and the monkeys that came by one morning. It was great during a rainstorm too. Being there during the off-season, they were doing some maintenance that made some noise during a nap or two, but that wasn’t bad for 9 days in the room. House keeping was immaculate and I appreciated being able to choose morning or afternoon time-windows for cleaning. Walking around the property was quite nice, and there is a lot of walking which I appreciated. We were on the lower tier of buildings (“partial bay view”) so we didn’t have to do as many stairs as others but wouldn’t have minded the exercise during a lazy stay anyhow. We visited all 3 little beaches a couple times but ended up spending more time at the pool. The beaches are small and though it is the ocean, the bay is tame with no waves to play in and sand that isn’t fine. One beach was a 10 minute drive away (the boat was not in service) although we walked it once and it took about 90 minutes. You could swim it in 4 minutes probably or possibly even wade over there. Only 2/4 restaurants were open during our stay. The menus from the other 2 were served but it felt like the cafeteria to go there for every meal.

Loved the food, staff, pools and beaches. Only critique is this, the game room isn't up to your resorts standards. Get a decent pool table, a real ping pong table. A card table, a dart board and maybe some TV screens.

After a short drive from the Liberia airport you arrive to a secluded but secure resort that excites your senses from the moment you are greeted by the friendliest group of people I have ever meet. Aaron and his staff took care of us from day one. Me and my family enjoyed the rooms, pools, and most of all the beach club that had a private beach and plenty of wildlife. They have a beach side restaurant and bar that allowed you to spend the entire day or just an hour or two if you wanted. You could catch the shuttle or take a water taxi to the location. All the restaurants had great food and reasonable prices as well. We did rent a car but could have easily had just got the airport shuttle and just stayed on the property all week as they will assist in booking day trips if you like. The golf course was amazing, the greens were very hard to get use to and the layout very challenging. Hit the 3 or 5 wood leave the driver in the bag. This resort and staff makes you feel like you are visiting with family you have not seen for years and leave you with thoughts of "when will I see you again, how soon can I come back...". Pura Vida.

Absolutely amazing. Nothing bad could be said about this resort. The rooms are modern and beautiful and exactly as shown in the pictures on their website. Cleanest rooms you can imagine, complete perfection as far as housekeeping goes. The pools are great, grounds are super clean and beautiful; what takes this place to a whole new level is the staff. Every single person we had encounters with was polite, friendly and super professional. I work in hospitality so I understand how much effort goes into making guest feel welcome and at home. No request was ever to much to ask and you were always given a big smile in return. We traveled with our dog and they even stop and acknowledge her ( which doesn’t happen often in hotels anymore). Food at Ostra restaurant was exceptional, food at Rio Bhonga was mediocre and the menu very limited. We would go back in a heart beat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal My wife and I chose the W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal for our honeymoon and could not have picked better. Arrival & Service • Free valet made having a rental car simple. • We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and an upgraded suite arranged by Ayeisha, the W Insider who looked after us all week. She also secured a special dinner reservation that turned into the highlight of one evening and sent us home with local gourmet coffee. • Housekeeper Monica kept the suite immaculate and surprised us with chocolates, balloons, and decorations. • Chef Andre built a three-course dinner around the lobsters we caught on a private fishing trip—easily the best lobster we’ve had. • Vladimir (restaurant), Rahul, Javier, Miguel (dining teams), Allan (front desk—quick ATM help), and Guillermo (pool deck) all greeted us by name and made each interaction easy. Suite Large living area, separate bedroom, generous balcony, and a private plunge pool—plenty of space to relax between beach and activities. Food Breakfast offered new regional and international options every morning. Every on-site meal outperformed anything we tried off-property. Beach & Extras The resort’s beach felt quiet and safe; we swam far into the bay and saw only tropical fish and clear water. Takeaway Personal touches—from Ayeisha’s planning to the kitchen turning our day’s catch into dinner—made this stay memorable. We will be back for an anniversary.

Gorgeous property with stunning pools, delightful drinks, friendly staff. The 7 course tasting was outstanding! I wish I could get the recipe for the Arenal pairing. Folks with kids and without kids agreed the family pool and adult pool should be swapped. We traveled with kids and met other sweet families. Many didn’t realize there was a Kids Club with activities. We walked to the pool and dinners from Tower 2. Easy to get shuttles, but the views of monkeys, birds, coatis, iguana and trees made the walk enjoyable. The monkeys woke us up at 5 am, but we were staying on EST anyway. We booked last minute and had 2 King bed rooms which were gorgeous with a fantastic view of the mountains from the shower and balcony. One room was on the corner and caught a great breeze. Only negatives - food and drink prices add up! The reasonable kids meals were generously plated and the red snapper was outstanding. I also wish they had a normal coffee maker in the room. Ours seemed to be more espresso style - which is too much for us. Many people hopped vans and headed into Tamarindo which a a fantastic, walkable town. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all, but everyone stayed in the pool. Interesting fact - Russian oligarch’s yacht, the Pacific, was anchored off the coast.

We loved our stay at the W Costa Rica. My kids loved the buffet , especially in the mornjng. The food was great. The pools were also great although the kids/family pool is far away compared to the adult pool. We also liked the different restaurants available and the concierge to book excursions was very good. The area itself doesn’t have much and the beach while nice to be close wasn’t amazing. All that said , the kids loved it and that itself was enough. Also the service we received was fantastic!!

This resort was an absolute perfect getaway. The property is beautiful nestled into the hill along Playa Conchal. Both swimming areas (Wet Zone - adults only, larger pool with hot tub - and Zona Azul, the smaller but still spacious pool right next to the beach) are lovely to enjoy. Our room was in Tower 1 (closest to the Living Room) with an ocean view over the trees between our building and the beach. It was spacious and comfortable and I loved our balcony. The wildlife sightings for not even leaving the resort were great - lots of birds, iguanas of all sizes, howler monkeys, deer, small lizards... The service could not be beat. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Salud to everyone who took care of us especially Carlos & Carlos in the Living Room, Kevin who seemed to be everywhere, Franden (Frank) at Zona Azul, and everyone at the Wet bar. We look forward to coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We travel a lot and it was probably one of our favourite experiences at a resort in a long time. From the beautiful, lush grounds with so many animals and birds, to the amazing food and cocktails, to the incredible staff (especially Guillermo who was our favourite at the adult pool bar as well as Carlos the bartender in the Living room, and Bernice at Zona Azul). We loved the more relaxed vibe here. The infinity pool at the beach bar Zona Azul was stunning. Just off the beach with trees, plants and flowers all around. There was a great little gym with good equipment. It was handy having a shuttle that you pay to head into Tamarindo. We would definitely return again.

After staying at the Andaz in Maui and Lisbon, we were excited to stay at this location in Costa Rica. The property is beautiful, family friendly, and the staff are always happy to help. Shout out to the kids club team, coffee shop team and Jarrett at the pool bar for always welcoming us and asking how our stay is going. Those folks left an impact on us although the entire staff was stellar. They utilize WhatsApp, so, I recommend to US travelers to have that handy. The grounds are beautiful, have several pools, and direct beach access as well as a beach/beach club where Meso restaurant is located. You will need to take a shuttle to access. I recommend beach shoes for the beach. There is a weekly schedule of activities for a fee and a spa. My husband and I took the barista coffee class and ceviche class- both were great. The hotel clearly tries to be sustainable and use local products and minimize plastic use. These are huge and I am happy to see that they could implement these practices at a large resort like this.

The staff at this amazing hotel went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The property is set in a stunning location, the pools and beach club were out of this world. Every member of staff was brilliant. The facilities were exceptional. From the gym and the pools to the beach club, it was all amazing. The room was well fitted out with a great view.

This is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed in. It is like being in a treehouse! The room was amazing, the staff was so accommodating and kind, the facilities and grounds were gorgeous, the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed Chao Pescao and Meso. The complimentary shuttle which arrives every half hour at the lobby and offers rides to other hotels on the peninsula for dinners is so convenient. Even though the main beach area must be accessed by boat, it was never an issue because it was a super convenient and quick process. The boat goes back and forth about every 8-10 minutes throughout the day, so you are never waiting long. Bonus…the property provides towels and sunscreen and bug spray! We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Andaz at Peninsula Papagayo was incredible, from the grounds & facilities to the wonderful people working there, everything was amazing. The beach club and other available amenities in the peninsula were also really good, being able to take advantage of all those was essential. The views are great and we loved how well the hotel integrates with nature and topography. Lot's of fauna around the hotel too! We hope to be able to go back very soon!

We absolutely loved our say here. We loved the privacy, the serenity and the peace of the hotel, the staff were so attentive and so incredibly friendly, the food was divine and we had access to so many activities in the area. Our favourites were bike riding, jet skiing and the little private ocean bays. We'll be coming back again in October :D.

Overall a nice quiet place to rest at night. Having a little kitchen with fridge is also great. The property is small so not a lot of room to lounge outside or by the pool.

What a beautiful spot. Little bit outside of the core, but it was quiet and the free bikes were a great way to get around town! We will be back for sure!
