Really nice design and hotel ambiance. Pool is really nice and spa services excellent . The only concern is the room . I stayed in a room with its private pool and curtain isn't blackout and early morning the sun is directly on that side . A/C Works but don’t expect the roll to be cold , it will maintain the temperature around 72/73 F.

Everything was on point, excellent. Attention to detail from all the staff. Architecture and design of the hotel are impressive. Management made everything possible for us (From special meals to watching football in the hotel cinema). The food was amazing (In-room and in restaurant) The room had a beautiful private view of Pichilingue bay and the open sea, along with a private pool, gorgeous bath and a comfy bed. We will try to be there soon...

This hotel has one of the best designs I seen. Beautiful architecture, lighting and views of the bay. The staff is very attentive, and always willing to help. We stayed in a room with a private pool which we enjoyed a lot. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is good and reasonably priced. The only complaint I have is the room cleanliness, don't get me wrong, it is clean, but it lacks attention to detail, specially for a hotel of this class.

The location was great. My daughters enjoyed the pool. There were very few to no trash cans so it was easy for people to leave trash on the floor around the pool. Guests around the pool would not follow rules or respect staff when asked to stop (throwing footballs, diving, bringing outside food). The beach directly off of the hotel was beautiful but they could also use more trash cans or assign staff to maintain beach cleanliness. Overall we had a pleasant experience. The room was great, AC worked great, shower was great, view was beautiful. There is a night club fairly close to the hotel so you will hear that music for the majority of the night.

We stayed 5 nights. I confirmed our reservation multiple times , even up to a day before. When we arrived we were informed they had no rooms available but offered us an entire villa at their sister resort next door. We stayed at the villa for one night but it didn’t have ocean view so the following day they offered us a room in the hotel we originally booked. Beautiful view from hotel , and they cleaned it daily. For the all inclusive deal there is only one buffet that is included and the pool bar that serves snacks such as burgers, hotdogs. The pools were great. The buffet was small but they changed menu every meal so plenty of food options. Service at the buffet was excellent! No one spoke English not like when we traveled to Cabo or Cancun. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative is no hot water in shower just luke warm. The villa on the other have had 4 bathrooms with hot showers. We recommend visiting island Roqueta , playa caleta and our favorite was Puerto Marquez good swimming beaches no waves. Also if u walk 5 mins south to the rocks past hotel Emporio less waves and good to swim especially in the morning

We were on vacation so I can say that the Service was fast and friendly for us... Clean pools and clean beach chairs every day.

The hotel is perfectly located in Dorado. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Good food, nice pools.

This hotel had great service, beautiful pools right by the beach and wonderful accommodations.

Incredible view, great location, fantastic amenities, top-notch service. Seriously, we did a bunch of research, and even when we were there we couldn't find any spots with a better view and location. The penthouse with a private balcony pool was phenomenal. All the pools are softwater, so no nasty chemicals running your hair and skin. We went in the off-season so there was only one other couple there. They have 2 large pools and a restaurant up top. They also gave us a complimentary 20 liter just of water with a dispenser. This is the only place we will ever stay if we get to come back to Zihuatanejo.

We enjoyed our stay at Villas San Sebastián. I liked that there was a locked door at street level to access the grounds. The villas are located on a hillside, so you must be able to climb stairs, ranging from about 30 stairs to 100, depending on your villa’s location. All villas have an outdoor kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with shower. Our villa, No. 6, was nicely tiled but could use some updating. The view of the bay from our terrace was sensational. The walk-in closet was not air conditioned and had a small opening with bars and a damaged screen, so we did not keep our clothing in there and pretty much kept clothing in our suitcases. The pool is small but clean. While we were there, a new pool complete with bar and small restaurant opened, but it is located near the top of the hill. We easily walked to shops and restaurants near and on Playa La Ropa. The walk back was uphill. All in all, I think this property provides good value in a central, off-the-beach location.

Everything! The location - right at the entrance down to La playa Ropa Beach! Our villa with the outside veranda to eat and overlook La Playa Ropa. Luis and his wife that ensured all was well with us! The swimming pool! Even though the weather was very hot and humidity was high our room was very comfortable with the air. The hot water was instant. Also the people that we met there that come all the time welcomed us and helped us get around! Staying at San Sebastián was the best part of our trip!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. The room was spotless and kept that way by the team of housekeepers. The room was large with a king sized bed, sitting area and kitchen area and had its own terrace which provided an incredible view of Zihuatanejo Bay and La Ropa beach. The pool was very inviting and sparkling clean. The beach is only about a 5-10 minute walk. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

Great views, safe, few guests, pool, impeccable grounds, new restaurant top of property, OXXO close by, several great restaurants including Jungle Pizza and Trattoria Gianni. La Ropa beach, Thompson resort steps away. Taxis cheap and plentiful. A couple suggestions: a welcome list w wifi info, atm locations, coffee and soda to get you started. Tips: carry small bills for tips, tote bag for groceries etc. Top units best to mitigate street noise. Loved our stay!!

Great boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with a complete kitchen. Pool and garden area is nice and relaxing. The staff is very accommodating and extremely kind --answered all my questions and provided everything I needed. Location is ideal for access to La Ropa beach and all of Zihuatanejo. A very relaxing experience.

This condo in Playa Ropa Zihuatenejo is fantastic. It's large, clean, modern, and has a fantastic view of the beach with an infinity pool. We had an amazing time staying here. The apartment is nicely decorated, has its own dip pool on the spacious patio, and the views can't be beat. Walking to Playa Ropa is a few minutes away down a walkway and some steps, just be prepared for the walk back, it was fine for us as we are active, but might be too much for others. Las Gatas beach is also .6 miles away by scrambling over a somewhat rocky trail. But it is worth it. Taking a cab ride to board the ferry to Isla Ixtapa is only 15 minutes away. The infinity pool in the common area is a nice place to relax and cool off after exploring the area.

Great building and great unit, beautiful view. The property management company is very accommodating. We loved it and look forward to returning. Pls note several stairs to unit and hills nearby if you need to factor that in your consideration but there are also taxis

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was nothing short of amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. One of the standout features of this hotel is its true pet-friendliness. Unlike other places that claim to be pet-friendly but restrict pets from common areas, this hotel welcomes pets with open arms everywhere. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy all the amenities without worrying about limitations for our furry family members. The highlight of our stay was the unique and meaningful experience of freeing turtles as part of a special event organized by the hotel. It turns out they are donors to the organization that supports this initiative, and it was heartwarming to be a part of something so impactful. Watching the turtles make their way to the ocean was an unforgettable moment! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay, especially pet owners and those who appreciate thoughtful, one-of-a-kind experiences. Can’t wait to visit again!

For starters, wooow. That pool. From certain angles it looks like it stretches infinitely into the sky. Swim to the end and you get this incredible view of the beach below. I'll never forget it. The pool is honestly highlight, so I almost feel like I don't need to write about the rest, but I'll do my best: POOLS: The infinity pool is amazing, but there's also a second pool lower on the hill--less impressive in design but even more impressive in views. Also, each room comes with a private plunge pool that's beautifully tiled and perfectly secluded. Very calming, very blissful. ROOMS: The rooms are spacious and clean. Massive beds, both a shower and tub. There were ants and we found bugs in our clothes, but I feel like that just comes with the whole tropical terrain. FOOD: We had low expectations for resort food but the food here was pretty decent. Not to mention there were multiple options to choose from--the main restaurant, a casual club (sandos/burgers), an upscale Thai restaurant, and snacks by the pool. SERVICE: Really friendly waiters and waitstaff greet you everywhere and take you on golf carts to wherever you need to go. The only nitpick I have is that the girl at the front desk was a bit passive aggressive and wouldn't help me make local arrangements. LOCATION: Super close to the bus station. ~130-200 pesos got us to the hotel. The hotel's at the end of a private drive, so it's isolated and has the best views. Can't recommend enough!

Highly recommend Banyan Tree Cabo Marques. Definitely the nicest hotel in Acapulco (and would absolutely be in the running for the nicest hotel in pretty much any city)! Service is outstanding and friendly. The staff remembers your name and does everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Given all of the damage caused by the two hurricanes (direct hits by a Cat 5 in 2023 and a Cat 3 in 2024), it is amazing how well the hotel has handled the recovery. They are still working on some of the villas, but the renovated villas are beautiful. We booked an ocean view pool villa and were upgraded to an oceanfront villa with panoramic views from the room and the private pool. Currently, only one of the restaurants is open (Reflections - serving a mixture of dishes from 3 of the resort’s planned restaurants), but a second restaurant (Saffron - Thai food) is almost compete and expected to open in 2-3 weeks. The hotel is very private and secure, located in an upscale, gated residential area a short distance outside of downtown Acapulco. It has a laidback, luxury vibe. If you are looking for a relaxing place to escape the winter weather, checkout Banyan Tree Cabo Marques!

We loved the stunning architecture of the hotel built on the side of the hill over looking the Pacific Ocean. Our suite was gorgeous with a lovely terrace overlooking the bay with two comfortable lounge chairs and our own private pool. The food and drinks were delicious. Our bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. The staff were friendly and very attentive.

I love the architecture of this property and the fact that it’s only a few rooms makes it more intimate. The staff is what truly sells this hotel. They are 100/10. So kind, attentive, and very good at their jobs. They go the extra mile explaining things & making sure you are comfortable. Once we went into the pool, two minutes later they came with iced water to help us cool down & hydrate. They replace towels outside the pool area as soon as we take one. The amenities are gorgeous and everything stays spotless. Not once did I see anything unkept. There is a private pathway to the beach which makes it convenient to go out and enjoy the waves.

Staff were wonderful and helpful! The salt water pool was amazing! My room was super amazing with its own pool and outdoor area.

Breakfast was a highlight each day. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Staff remembered our name and were caring and kind - very high end 5-star service, esp from front desk and housekeeping. Adorable animal designs on bed each night, made with flowers and leaves. And the ultimate was the salt water pool way down by the rocks. I ordered margaritas there each day, read my book, relaxed, swam, and it all felt deeply restorative. Locational absolutely cannot be beat. Direct beach access to La Ropa but only 5 min walk to Madeira. You have all the options of meals on the La Ropa side and in El Centro all with a nice walk - or a $5 taxi for when you want to give your legs a rest. Sunset drinks at roof bar with acoustic Mexican music 2x per week. And an awesome gym with inspiring views - this exceeded my expectations. Oh -

This property is absolutely beautiful and very conveniently situated between Playa Madera and Playa La Ropa. The view is spectacular and the unit was clean, modern, and very well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Did I mention the view? It was breathtaking. We loved falling asleep listening to the waves crash after having cocktails in the pool (which also has a stunning view). Lastly, the bed was very comfortable and have two bathrooms was a treat. The communication with the staff was great too. I will stay here again for sure!

The place was a little difficult for cab driver from the airport to find, but once we arrived everything was perfect! It was very conveniently located, had all of the amenities to cook and hangout at the villa, beautiful views, and it was extremely clean. We will most likely stay here again when we come back to Zihuatanejo.

Pictures don’t justify the beautiful views and room. Very clean and convenient places to stay I would definitely recommend this place you would not regret it.

It’s in the middle of both beaches la ropa and madera and the place is clean and has an amazing view and vibe.

Stunning views, daily maid service, free breakfast, perfect pool and location. If you are trying to decide where to stay, look no further! My husband and I stayed here for 8 days in November of 2017. We were looking for someplace to stay without children, with an amazing view and a great location. We wanted to be close enough to walk to the beach, but far enough away from the noise and foot traffic to have quiet evenings. La Escollera Suites did not disappoint! The owners Celine and Manuel went above and beyond and were gracious hosts. We were a short walk to La Ropa Beach, we went back and forth several times per day. We also walked to Playa Las Gatas for a day of snorkeling. It is just a short cab ride to downtown Zihua and Ixtapa. We preferred to spend many hours in the infinity pool overlooking the bay and walking to La Ropa. We ate at the restaurant each morning, and several times for dinner. Overall it was an amazing and romantic place to stay without our kids. Food and room were great. We can't wait to come back!!

This hotel was really beautiful, on the hill, with amazing views of the beach and city. We loved having breakfast on the deck, with the hummingbirds (and all the other animals residing at the hotel!) Staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to have a margarita in the pool and just relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. This was our first time to Zihuatanejo, and we fell in love. We have been to most of the other big beach towns (Cabo, Puerto Vallarta etc.) and this was by far the most beautiful and relaxing. The downtown area was just a few minutes drive away, and was a great place to walk around, with tons of shops and restaurants. The only (minor) complaints I had were that the bed was quite hard, and the jacuzzi on the balcony would not hold water. I'm sure if we had contacted someone, they would have taken care of it, but it was late, and we decided to just skip it.

Our hosts Celine and Manuel were so warm and welcoming. They were eager to offer suggestions and made our stay very memorable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view was absolutely stunning. The bio park on-site was really lovely. I enjoyed talking to all the birds and other wildlife each day. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Lazing by and in the infinity pool was heavenly. Soaking in the private jacuzzi on the deck was a lovely way to end the evening before climbing into bed. We loved eating fresh fruit grown on the property each morning for breakfast. Ongoing construction made for some untidiness but it was easy to overlook this because everything else was exceptional. Celine and Manuel were wonderful hosts! They and their staff made us feel very welcome. The suite was huge with its own hot tub, large private veranda, very comfortable king-size bed and breathtaking views of Zihuatenejo and La Ropa beach. The food and service at the restaurant was top notch at very reasonable prices, and the infinity-edge pool and sun deck were perfect. The biological park on the property, which Celine and Manuel are in the process of relocating and remodeling, has many interesting plants, animals, insects and reptiles, many endangered. We went into Zihua and La Ropa several times during our stay, but ended up hanging out at La Escollera the last 2 days because it was muy tranquillo and the perfect place to relax!

My 9 year old son and I stayed at Aura del Mar for Spring Break 2024. While the hotel is not kid focused or running over with screaming kids, it is kid friendly. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of different lounging areas in the shade. It's a bonus that the excellent and reasonably priced Bistro Del Mar is on the beach level, as they were consistently delivering food and drinks up to guests at the pool. I considered it to be in the ideal location in Zihuatanejo, as it's a 10 minute walk north to the city center. Along the way, there are several highly regarded restaurants. Plus, Maderas right next door on the beach is also a great spot. Additionally, there are some true gem restaurants and coffee shops within several blocks of the hotel itself. In the other direction is Playa Ropa, which is a 15-20 minute walk, first uphill and then down. The cabs were 450 MXN (about $28) each way, about a 15-20 minute drive. As others have said, it's nice that there's a small convenience store across the street for room necessities. The hotel provides plenty of bottled and filtered water at no cost. We didn't have any luck being able to book any excursions ahead of time, but the concierge Carlos was able to get us set up with fishing, zip lining and the sea turtle experience. The rooms overall had everything needed - a working air conditioner, Wifi, and cable TV. We enjoyed playing cards on our balcony before heading out to dinner.

I booked a trip to Zihuatanejo with my two daughters (5 and 8 years old) at the very last minute (5 days prior) after learning their school-run spring break camp was already full (duh), so I really knew very little going in and had no expectations - but I could not have been happier with where we landed. This was SUCH a wonderful hotel in such a fantastic location, it crossed all the boxes for what we were looking for in a trip and then some! The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, right on the beach with an awesome pool (built-in slide, over-the-water hammocks, in-pool lounge chairs, etc)- the staff were all incredibly lovely and accommodating, helping us with everything from booking excursions (turtle hatching is highly encouraged!), recommending family-friendly dinner spots, finding us another similar (arguably even better?) room to move into so we could extend our stay several days, and even allowing us a place to store our luggage and have a last-minute shower on our final day there, we honestly couldn't have asked for more. My kids were especially enamored with the talking parrots (we, too, have a parrot) as well as discovering the adorable little animal/nature scenes the housekeeping staff created on the beds using flower petals and towels whenever they tidied -it was just the sweetest! I've already encouraged friends to book with them and look forward to returning, myself, again, and again, and again....thank you aura del mar!

My first time staying at Aura del Mar and I shall return! Stayed in room 105 which was perfect. 30 seconds from the pool, 45 seconds and you're on Madera Beach. 45 seconds and you're in the lobby and out front on the street. The staff was simply marvelous. Special shout out to Sandy at the lobby bar and Roxy at the reception desk. Francisco needs to stop trying to side-hustle his excursions and adventures. Just take a "No, thank you" and quit asking me if I need to book anything, Francisco. The bartenders and waiters in the restaurant were all great, too. Despite the street being torn up for major maintenance, we were a very short walk to lots of different restaurants and shops. The pool area is hard to beat, never any trouble getting a lounge chair. Same for the beach area, plenty of chairs. The boardwalk is close by and makes for an easy stroll to Playa Principal and plenty of things to see and do. I absolutely loved my visit and will be booking a return trip very soon!

Gorgeous property with stunning views, huge very clean rooms with awesome balconies, exceptional service. Just a wonderful experience. My husband and I went for a quick 5 day trip from our home in San Miguel de Allende. We normally don’t stay on a hotel property for meals and activities as we like adventure and variety, but this place was so pretty, with a great restaurant and beautiful pool and decks with hammocks overlooking the beach we only left a few nights for dinner to go to a few other highly-recommended restaurants. The hotel took all COVID precautions very seriously(I’m an RN is the US). Well worth the price. Loved the poolside food and drink service. Carlos was just amazing at making us feel so welcome from the very minute we arrived until we took a taxi back to the airport. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. My husband and I have owned two hotels so we are very picky and this place is perfect.

This was our second visit to Aura Del Mar; the first visit was when it was named Brisas Del Mar in 2010. This property has kept all the charm that we feel in love with back in 2010 and has made some incredible additions since. The pool deck over looking the ocean was peaceful and gave you a beautiful 360• view. The landscaping is gorgeous and tended to. The onsite spa has been updated and is lovely. Coffee machines in every room with fresh ground coffee provided. Turn down service at night. Cold A/C Friendly staff Abel is on the top deck serving happy hour and a gorgeous view of the sunset. The beach / pool towels they provide are adorable. This hotel is a gem.

From the welcome to the good-bye, we were treated like royalty! The service was impeccable!!! EVERYONE did EVERYTHING possible to make our one night stay comfortable, enjoyable and fun. The room was spacious and had everything we could ask for. The towels were plush and toiletries a-plenty. The pool area surprised us, as well. Altho' the pool was not large, the area was like that of a resort. There were beautiful chairs, lounges and outdoor couches with umbrellas, as well as plush, soft, big towels. A full functioning bar area was out of the sun and looked most inviting. Because we were at the pool during check in time, it took the guests a while to engage a bar tender to make them drinks. We were thrilled to just cross the street for dinner, for some of the very BEST tacos al pastor!!! We ate the buffet breakfast at the attached restaurant. It was convenient and packed, with a 3 piece Mexican band, performing thru our meal. The ambiance was great! When it was time to check out, the front desk helped us secure a reliable and fairly priced car to our next destination. This is definitely a hidden gem on the main road.....don't pass it by!!! .

This Hotel is definitely up to par if not exceeds other Holiday Inn Hotels. It's well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming [as were all the Acapulco people, I talked too]. It's close to the airport and shopping centers, and the best part of it, is it's not in the busy, tourist part of Acapulco! If your looking for beach front hotels, well then you might be disappointed because, that it is not. It does however have a nice pool and a room for massages in the pool area too. I go to Acapulco twice a year and usually stay in fancy beach front resorts, which are nice, if you're going to just stay at the resort [usually food is overpriced and mediocre]. But me, to get a good feel of 'Real Mexico', I enjoy going to Puerto Marques. You can find the best stuff there. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Acapulco.

Excellent new hotel, near to Acapulco airport, efficient shuttle and good food. Away from the hustle and bustle of the City. Ideal place to relax post/pre-flight, suitable for weddings, banquets and business meetings. The service and security is excellent. Front desk staff know what they are doing. The entire team at the Hotel was like a big family. IHG platinum members' entitlements fully honoured. Internet speed is fair. The hotel is not cheap, but you pay here for the quality and equally excellent service. The Hotel has a restaurant onsite. I've had the same dish three times ( local marinated steak) and it was excellent, because the meat was absolutely amazing. The pool was not particularly busy with plenty of room to relax and swim. I've tried a room which was some form of a suite (double bed and a sofa bed). The sofa bed turns into a very comfortable double bed. This room would be most suitable for couples with children or two couples. I post a few photos here, so do enjoy the photos, this hotel and Acapulco!

Desk and staff are super friendly, room service will make anything you ask for and the place is so clean and respect. We stayed there with an entire 12 year old soccer team for 7 days and the hotel even changed their hours of the pool for us. Will definitely stay there again.

Fabulous bed and pillows, great little pool with bar service, right by the airport, very good restaurants close by - Pattitito is only 2 blocks away, La Finca about 6 blocks. Not on the beach, on a busy street, but we stayed here the night before we left and it was perfect.

I’m completely smitten with this hotel and highly recommend it for Taxco travelers. The structure was built in the 1580s as a convent, then adapted into a hotel in the 1990s. But the serenity of the place, this gorgeous atmosphere of historic architecture in harmony with abundant foliage is a reminder of the hotel’s origins. Rooms are simple yet very comfortable. Likewise the bathrooms. The rooftop terrace offers a spectacular view. Adriana, the lovely lady who manages the hotel is incredibly kind. There’s even a sweet, elderly dog who resides at the hotel contributing to the overall charm. Another important detail are the restaurant and silver shop in the same building. We were in Taxco for 2 days and ate every meal at the hotel’s restaurant 1) because it’s location inside the hotel’s terrace is just unbeatable, 2) the food and service is very good, 3) the old-school classical Mexican music is played at a proper level so one can have a conversation, 4) it’s a locals only joint, no throngs of drunken tourists. The silver shop is also high quality. Together the Los Arcos is a wonderful hotel reminiscent of the Mexico I remember as a child where relaxed elegance, warm hospitality and delicious food all came together for an unforgettable experience.

Los Arcos is conveniently located near the Taxco main square which is one of its best assets, although it is also a clean, well-run place with a restaurant and lobby area to lounge around. Keys are left at the front desk upon leaving for shopping or doing other things in the area and can be picked up when one returns. There is no airconditioning in the rooms but it is not necessarily needed in light of the altitude where the city sits, but could be desired by some, especially during particularly warmer nights. We spent time there the week of July 4th and found it comfortable, especially after a shower. Restuarants, silver stores, and other businesses and small museums are near the zocalo where free public music is often played free to the public. A good location for those not wanting to take a break far away from the city center.

This hotel looks so beautiful. It has a very photogenic courtyard and a spacious terrace with an amazing view. So many unique details, including the room key! The room (2 queen beds) was very spacious with plenty of surfaces where we could lay out our things. The room had a standing fan but we only used it for white noise. We stayed for two nights and while we were out during the day, the room was freshened up nicely. As busy as the area was during the day, the nights were quiet, at least no noise in our room (one window was facing the courtyard, the other one the alley). The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t try their restaurant, so can’t say anything regarding the food.

The hotel building is a magnificent colonial town house built around a spectacular courtyard. The location could not be better for old Taxco, with everything close to hand. Citlal, the owner, speaks excellent English and she could not be more helpful. She actually took us to a friend's silver shop, when we asked for advice on where to start buying silver amongst countless shops there. We didn't need to look any further! She also clearly takes great pride in her beautiful hotel, and well she should! It was great value for money and we would recommend it for anyone who wants character, style and views (from the fantastic rooftop terrace).

Hotel Los Arcos is stunning gem of a hotel! Great location, a short walking distance to the center of town and the Zocalo, but not so centralized that you can't sleep. It is clean, comfortable, and... BEAUTIFUL! From the moment you walk in you enter your own little garden oasis with a grand tree covered in epiphytes and ferns and the most beautiful architecture. At night, they close the entry door so you feel secure. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Highly recommend! It's has the architectural charm and beauty of a boutique luxury hotel, and fits the pueblo magica feel of Taxco perfectly!

Recently renovated--was Holiday Inn. Staff friendly and helpful but Spanish is useful as only reception employees have English and theirs can be limited. Our room was as pictured for a double standard. Everything in our room worked properly (remember to shut the window to get the air-conditioner to work). Limited English TV channels but you are supposed to be outside enjoying the great weather. There is a clothes line in the shower. One bottle of water a day for the room. There was a coffee maker but you had to purchase coffee separately. Good desk chair. Mattress was new and choice of hard/soft pillows. Hotel has beautifully engineered pool, warm water, water slide, shallow area. Large expanse for seating and we were alone poolside most of the day. Swim up bar or handy servers if it is closed. Grounds are kept up. Small gym and masseuse are poolside. Our second floor west wing room overlooked the pool and we loved it. We keep our windows open all night. Hotel was quiet except on weekends when it fills up with weekending families. Piano music drifting up to our room over the bar was wonderful! Excellent pianist. The bar music shuts down at 10:30PM but partying on weekends can last longer. The bar and restaurant are open air and some hotel rooms have large balconies and those tend to be occupied by party crowd or large families. The noise can carry. So we closed our window two nights to help lessen the noise until it ended. No traffic noise though.

I work for Marriott Corporation and have been in the hotel business since 1979. This hotel is a great price/value and has an incredible staff starting with RICARDO in the restaurant. This young man made our stay and took time to help us with everything from directions to recommendations in the area. The rooms were clean and the AC was great. The housekeeping staff made a nice towel animal in our room one day and they were very friendly. It is not on the beach but has a nice pool and very close to the beach. We will be back! I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone it is a small hotel with a great location close to everything and it is clean and the pool is just the right size. My family and I have been looking to stay away from the All- inclusive resorts since for something decent and affordable and I think we found it at Gamma de Fiesta Inn we loved it.

My room had a blood stain so they had to change our sheets right away. When you check-in they put a bracelet on your hand and you must always wear it. It’s kind of uncomfortable so my son was kicked out of the pool because he took it off. So he had to go get another one. Location is pretty good. Friendly staff.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Nilo. It is a block to the beach, bus line, casino, restaurants and the Cartera bus, which takes one everyplace for less than 50 cents. The rooms were small but nicely appointed, the bathrooms modern, and the locks on the doors substantial. The rooftop pool was small but clean and pleasant. The hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful.The wi-fi was pretty good. This is a great place to stay for someone who does not have a car and knows a bit of Spanish. On the downside, the mattresses are a bit hard and the one block walk to the main street a bit lonely when it was dark. Also, the floors are very slick, particularly around the pool but also in the rooms, so be sure to be careful and wear shoes when the floors are wet (this seems to be a problem with Mexican flooring in general). There is a substantial federal police presence in front of the casino, which may make you feel safe or nervous, depending on your point of view. There were very few visitors from the U.S. when I was there, mostly there were families from Mexico and a few from Europe.

This hotel is a short walk from the beach as well as Walmart. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The air conditioning was very efficient. The staff was friendly and patient with my Spanish. The pool is small, but it never seemed to be busy, so I enjoyed it. There are snacks downstairs for purchase. The only complaint I have is the guests at the time because I had left my purse on a chair near the pool and watched a girl hanging out near it and thought nothing of it. Later I realized I was missing 2000 pesos, though I admit I could have been more careful.

I stayed here for almost 1 month and never had a problem. I do not speak Spanish and everything seamed to work out just fine. The staff spoke some English and they some how knew my face and room number automatically. The cleaning crew kept the place spotless and my room was cleaned so well that i skipped cleanings 2 and sometimes 3 days at a time. I never in my life stayed in a hotel where they cleaned the rooms so well every single time. I looked for errors and never found one.I used 1 towel for a shower mat and the next day they brought in a new shower mat into my bathroom because they simply realized i liked to have one. I did not ask or complained about it, they just paid attention to me and my room and stayed 5 steps ahead of me at all times.. I would love to live there for the rest of my life. this hotel is perfect for someone that is not looking for all the bells and whistles that come with a hefty price tag per night. Very economical, safe area, clean every where,friendly staff, nice relaxing pool and deck,good wifi, a/c

Very lovely hotel one block from the main avenue of Acapulco. Behind a casino and 2 minute walk to Walmart. Rooms comfortable & roomy Rooftop restaurant had specials everyday and the food was very good. There was a a street a couple of blocks away were you could buy typical Mexican food & you could find a couple small stores to buy beer & snacks. The staff was friendly & helpful. You could purchase coolers, beer & water in the reception area at a fair price. I found the internet worked well on my floor, although I could not connect at the pool or restaurant. There was hot water in the shower & the AC worked very well.

The view from the hotel room made the entire stay worth it. I would go again just to be able to sit on the balcony and take in the view. We liked being able to watch the sunset and see the town and the mountains. The hotel itself is spacious, and we couldn't hear anything from the main area even though there was karaoke and music playing near the pool. The restaurant was nice, the pool was a pleasant temperature.

The view from the hotel is absolutely incredible! Catches you by surprise everywhere - from the rooms, the pool area, the restaurant… The rooms are fab comfy and clean. Lovely chilled pool area, nice food and friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed hanging out in the small lobby bar one evening. Would go again!

The view was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and felt like old Europe. a bit like a fairy tale on top of the mountain. The staff was great too. I was a bit lonely by the pool at one point and the waiter brought me a pretty plate with a rose surrounded by chocolate and berries. ..made a lady feel special

It's a wonderfully quaint hotel sitting high above Taxco. Our room had a great view of the town. The room was clean as was the dining area and pool. The staff was friendly and it's only a five minute drive to town, half of which is getting down the hill's steep cobblestone road.

It’s an old but beautifully maintained, clean and well run property. It’s up on a hill with a spectacular view, but it also goes down to a lovely part of beach with a nice swimming pool area. There’s a restaurant on the beach and one at the top, both serving good food. And a nice bar. The staff are amazing; so helpful and friendly. Excellent WiFi everywhere. I hardly left the hotel for the three days. Overall a relaxing and charming experience.

Lifeguards are present in both locations. There’s a nice kiddy pool. We saw whales and dolphins several times from our room or the pool area. The stargazing is also very good. Bring binoculars! The food is good, and the specialty restaurants are very nice. The staff throughout the hotel are excellent! Free 7 km bike tours are offered 3x per week. Sign up with the concierge, spaces are limited. A good way to see part of Ixtapa. One of the tennis courts has been converted to two pickleball courts, and we enjoyed our games.

Love the pathways to the pool and beach staff on the pool very nice love the space of the bad rooms.

Location is amazing - with a private beach and close to both Ixtapa and Zihua, I could not fault it. The pool area is superb. Breakfast is first class. The rooms are lovely with very private seaview balconies complete with hammock. Loved my stay here and would highly recommend,

The place was very spacious, close to a lot of restaurants and across from the beach. The pool was also very nice and found it very clean. Staff was friendly. And I felt very safe as they only allow you in if you have a ramada bracelet.

We stayed two weeks in Junior suite, studio style room with kitchenette and large balcony. Hotel is very new and studio was spacious and clean. Full glass wall provided beautiful view of the Acapulco bay. Staff, particularly Rene, were extremely friendly and speedily attended to our needs. Swimming pool was small but water was clean and we enjoyed the dip in it. Location is away from the high rise hotels to the east. It is very close to big Mega store, fish market and other services. Every room face busy Costera and if you are light sleeper you may have to use ear plugs which helps to cut the noise of air conditioner as well.

The property was nice, the rooms were nice size, clean, air conditioning, big windows with a spectacular view to the ocean. Staff on property were nice. Beach was just a walk across the street. They let us stay in the pool after checking out.

Overall stay was excellent. During the week getting an umbrella and chairs was no problem but on the weekend you have to get there early to stand a chance. There was always space poolside so the pool that was out of commission wasn’t a big deal.

The private beach is outstanding, it is like a blue and green pool where fish swims around you. staff in the pool and beach are very friendly. the hotel is located in a bay with great views.

The location is like a paradise, right in the middle of the mountain but next to the ocean, no need to go out anywhere, just spending all day at the hotel is a total experience. They have the pool, restaurant, the beach with activities (jet skies, boat trips, and more). The view is amazing, the people at the hotel so nice. Great place to stay

Good place to stay for an overnight traveler. Room was clean and comfortable but a little on the small side. Gated area so it felt very safe. None of the front desk people spoke any English and we speak no Spanish but we managed to get checked in, bought some snacks and had breakfast which was good. We were even able to get a taxi lined up as we were going to a resort the next 7 days and arrived early. I would stay again. They also have a great pool area but we weren’t there long enough to use it.

Nice for a close to airport stay. Had a very early flight so we decided to stay 5 min away. Clean hotel no frills walking distance to La isla mall. Safe area. Did not use any of the hotel’s amenities like pool or breakfast. Staff was professional. Room is very basic. Bed tv restroom. We would not have a problem staying here again.

After a horrible experience at another hotel in the area, I found this hotel & booked online. The check in process was quick & friendly, the room was nice, but the bathroom was GREAT!!!! Their pool is on the roof & it’s a nice size & well kept. The only complaint would be to have more variety for breakfast.

There are two pools. It was great and not crowded.

I liked the condition that the hotel was in, the room was clean and the staff was nice. We did not use the pool though it looked nice and big.

We were gobsmacked when we arrived. We loved the pool and spent a lot of time there. When we were there we almost always had the pool to ourselves and the other guests were always quiet and chill. Very comfy place. At night the view of the lights of town is just gorgeous. We did a night swim almost every night and the pool makes you feel like you're floating over the town. Watching the sunrise every morning was amazing as well. Very comfy beds. Great a/c. WiFi was good in half the room, wouldn't work in our bedroom. Tv was great when we needed it. Really lovely place.

Everything. This was just what we have been looking for when we travel to Zihuatanejo. It is quiet, which is imported to us. Having a kitchenette was great. The pool is clean and well maintained. The best part is the view!!

Design, materials and finishings are very tasteful and of high quality - truly deserving the description 'Boutique de Diseno'. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bar has a good selection of alcoholic of and alcoholic drinks. The staff is lovely and helped me book a fantastic riding excursion (with Mister Chuy owner of the 'Rancho La Mision' en Juliantla) and posted trousers that I had tailored in a local shop... Hotel William is the sister hotel of Agua Escondida and you have free use of its facilities (i.e. pool). Agua Escondida is just around the corner. It might be worthwhile checking out Agua Escondida (also very good but less 'design') as a better value option.

My stay at Hotel William was absolutely perfect. The location was central to everything, and I enjoyed how easy it was to come back in the middle of the day to rest my feet in my air conditioned room after all the hills. The room was small but sparkling clean, and the shower was hot. I had a balcony room on the top floor and I loved the view, but know it may not be great for light sleepers due to street noise (which was especially loud on a Saturday night). I asked the front desk for ear plugs and they promptly brought me some, along with a little nighttime snack. Everyone working at the hotel was so helpful and friendly, and I felt very safe as a solo traveler! My only disappointment was that the rooftop terrace area—the tables and chairs were never set up to let anyone enjoy the space, and there were no cushions on the couches by the bar either. That said, the breakfast downstairs was fairly priced and yummy! Oh, and they give you a little welcome gift too… I won’t spoil what it is, but I’ll just say it was also delicious ;) I will 100% book Hotel William again when I return to Taxco!

The hotel is in the heart of Taxco. The Santa Pisca Church is behind the hotel. Beautiful hotel clean suite with a nice bath tub and full shower. The split unit air conditioner worked wonders. They immediately greeted us upon arrival, offered valet service and Carrie four luggage to the room. The restaurant opens at 8am for breakfast which offers a variety of traditional Mexican breakfast and American choices. The restaurant has lunch l however it closes early at 6pm. There are a lot of rooftop and balcony restaurantswhidh offer a variety of options. Lots of shops, markets and some entertainment in the town square in front of the Santa Pisca Church. We love this quaint, cultural town. Lots is taxicabs which are very reasonable and inexpensive. We took a gondola ride up to the Monte Taxco Hotel and had lunch overlooking the beautiful town and city.

Spent a night in this hotel, and could not be happier. The location is excellent, a short 3 minute walk to the main square bustling with restaurants and shopping as well as the focus of the town, the cathedral. From the first moment, the staff did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. Always friendly, quick with suggestions and eager to help. The rooms were well appointed - the balcony room was charming, and the suite was very comfortable (though lacking a view) with a seating area, a large bathroom with toiletries and a very comfortable bed. Wifi was more than adequate. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. I look forward to some day staying there again.

There is a restaurant that is not open yet but they were having some samples of their food, and we got to try some dishes which were so delicious! I can't wait til they open it to return!. I liked mostly the fact that it has a swimming pool for adults only which is beautiful and quiet besides the enormous family pool and an infinity pool as well.

The amenities were great. The hotel recovered well after Hurricane Otis. There is more work to be done, but they are doing a great job. I enjoyed the private infinity pool area. It was quiet for adults. We drank, had food, read our books, and laughed a lot. I highly recommend this infinity pool area. The buffet breakfast was well done. Overall a great 2 nights and 2 days stay.

Overall i’m giving a good review. I have been coming to Acapulco for many years off and on. I stayed in this hotel around 15 years ago also. I thought the lobby area, the bar area, the breakfast restaurant and surrounding pool area was very nice. Lush outdoor pool area easy access to the beach. The staff were very nice easy transaction in and out. A few dislikes the room i was in showed it’s age mostly in the bathroom area. Loose rusty taps that kind of thing. One of the reasons i picked this hotel is it had in the photos a nice health club. I still did my daily workout but if you have lifecycles in the photos i expect them to be working. I think one treadmill worked. Over i enjoyed the stay and the area lots to do.

Very comfortable hotel! I appreciated the adults-only pools, but there are no steps or railings (only ladders). So I enjoyed the safety of the family pool. The service at The Island snack bar was exceptional, specifically Javier. Very attentive and prompt. Room service was also excellent. Still have a week left to enjoy!

Acapulco is a wonderful place to visit. I recently went with my friend,and we stayed at the Hotel Emporio. First of all,it had nice rooms,clean pools,excellent service,and a great view. It also included tours and refreshing water at the reception desk. During my stay,I had some allergy problems while swimming in the ocean,but the hotel had a doctor and medication if you needit. If you are looking for a place to relax and have fun,Acapulco is a excellent option.

The staff were friendly and great service. The problem is that the bars do not open until 11. So even if you want something to drink like a soda or water at the beach, you’d have to go to the buffet or wait. The hotel is fairly dated and the pools weren’t very clear. However being Spring Break it was very busy. The food was decent with one midweek outside bbq with excellent food. The town and shops are right across the street for good location. They could improve on having at least one bar open earlier and maybe something for snacks between meals.

Perfect hotel for pairs and families as well as for single travellers who want to spend calm holiday / weekend. Amazing staff, very nice beach and pool. But i would not recommend it for people searching rich night-life.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. They are slowly upgrading different areas from the aging hotel they started with. The room we had this week was the same room we had on our first stay (oceanfront view) and this time was completely upgraded. The beds are excellent. I only had two irritations, one was the patio door, it kept coming off the track making it difficult to open and close. The other was a coffee pot with no coffee supplies. I enjoy a cup early in the morning and this is one of the HI perks for me. Either give guests supplies or take out the pot? Two bottles of water supplied daily which was nice and a refrigerator in the room. There are 3 restaurants, only two were open and crowded on Friday-Sunday. Food was ok, typical all-inclusive offerings. We prefer to go into town for dinners anyway. The staff is amazing, always helpful and smiling. Pool and beach service was good. This is a family friendly resort, lots of kids having a great time. The location of this hotel cannot be beat, the beach is beautiful and proximity to town is right across the street, so if you can overlook some small flaws you will enjoy your stay.

The staff aim to please, food was good quality & variety, grounds & pool were kept up top notch. The Fiesta night was the icing on the cake.

I have loved this hotel since finding it about twenty years ago. Yes, it is very basic, but it has everything I could ever want in a hotel and more: clean, simple but charming rooms with a terrace with a stunning view, ideal location in a beguiling town, great service, decent Wi-Fi in the beautiful, always blooming patio, loads of purified water (a must, and many Mexican hotels—-even the “fancy” ones—-give only a couple of smallish bottles), and the kindest people who truly define hospitality. I have stayed almost yearly, and they always remember me and make sure I have all I need. Last year, they were booked for one of the nights I wanted to visit Taxco, so I went to another, newer hotel that gets rave reviews—-except from me. Ugh. When I returned to the Hotel Santa Prisca this year, it was like returning a welcoming home. I have been lucky to do a bit of world traveling over the years, and at times I even stayed at the four-star places while on business, but the Hotel Santa Prisca ranks among the best I have found. I look forward to returning, enshallah.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful city of Taxco. Two years ago when I was passing through, my uncle got us a room here for the night. We enjoyed it so much, that we made sure to stay here for 4 nights this time around. It's a nice quiet hotel a stone's throw away from the Zocalo (City Center Meeting Place) with a lovely garden patio. The rooms are nice and cozy with everything you need. If you're worried about drinking the water, all the rooms have water pitchers that you can fill up at the multiple filtered water stations found right outside your room. But for me the best part by far is the spectacular view of Santa Prisca Cathedral and the rest of the city from the rooftop terrace. I could spend hours up there taking photos

Once again, arriving for a stay at the Hotel Santa Prisca was like coming home. I am so lucky to have found this hotel decades ago, and it improves over time by maintaining such high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and service. It says a lot, I believe, that so many staff have been there for a long time. The room, simple but with everything a traveler could need, serves well during visits to the charming town, and the beautiful patio, full of gorgeous trees and flowers, is the ideal retreat, one I often think about when not in Taxco. I wouldn’t trade it for any of the newer and pricier places, which I have tried, much to my disappointment. Hotel Santa Prisca will be my home in Taxco for as long as I am fortunate enough to make the trip.

Nice location within centro area. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Easy taxi ride to/from bus station at 35-40 pesos. Property is quaint/older but everything worked. Was clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Wifi ok. Not many plugs for charging but we had a multi plug extension cord. Was party or bar noise most nights/mornings til 2 or slightly beyond. Yet most nights I could get to sleep ok. Would go back and stay there again.

We decided to come to Acapulco just 4 months after hurricane Otis destroyed most of the town and touristic infrastructure. We were pleasantly surprised by the resiliance of the people, their desire to bounce back and we had a very pleasant stay. Although it's clear that the hotel is not yet fully ready (only 1 hotel tower is in use, and only 1 restaurant is in service) and reconstruction works continue, the staff does their best to cater for the guest. Hotel rooms are ample and nicely decorated, although in particular the bathroom could do with some refurbishment. We had a fantastic balcony overlooking the bay, from where you can enjoy the sunset or Acapulco. Food quality is variable, some good dishes, some standard stuff, OK but nothing special. The beach is very nice, with palapas, beach beds and reclining chairs. The pool area is pleasant, although a bit noisy due to ongoing reconstruction works. In conclusion a very pleasant stay, the family enjoyed swimming in the sea, but if coming to Acapulco in the next few months, do keep in mind that it is still recovering from the worst hurricane that has hit it.

Top choice for prize-benefits, the buffete could be better and just one elevator work make it impossible to use in peak hours. Just in front of the beach, incredible view, great pool, the minibar worker attend quickly. What only I didnt like was the noise coming from the street bar, really loudly and they open till 2 or 3 am, besides that its a grat choice to stay in.

Excelente ubicación, frente al mar y cerca de la avenida, comida rica, alberca con agua muy caliente para mí gusto, la gente desconsiderada y abusiva, parece que no sabe leer que no deben apartar camastros, todo ocupado y nadie en ellos en todo el día. Como sugerencia la música para.ambienar los alimentos debería ser más suave y a un volumen moderado, el mar está padre, pero no es para los más pequeños está al playa con una ligera bajada lo que la hace profunda. El último día se descompuso el elevador por la lluvia. Pero en general le pongo un 8.5. Si volvería.

Buen hotel a pie de playa localizado cerca del centro, en mi caso aunque llegue antes del check in nos cuidaron las maletas y pudimos hacer uso de las instalaciones e incluso ir a comer, muy eficiente el personal del Hotel Ritz, la comida variada y rica con sabor casero, los bartenders super amables y hacían las bebidas de 10 y como te gusten con lo que tienen, Gracias por todo, seguro me volveré a hospedar ahí!

FANTASTIC!!! Everything about this property was spectacular. The location, the staff, the accommodations. We stayed on bungalow #2. We had an outside fully stocked kitchen, a dinning area and a huge sun porch . Mind you this is not a all- inclusive 5 start property. This is a more intimate establishment, but with that said, we we were treated like gold. The staff from check in to check out was attentive and friendly, helpful and patient. Ricardo is a fantastic host and the cleaning staff were amazing and made the little towel art on our bed every day. The restaurant stayed open for us because we were late getting in on a very long bus ride and we’re starving. our waiter Armando was great. We swam in the pool a lot and always was clean and refreshing. Again, forget about the views, they are amazing. couldn’t have had a better time!

We stayed in the junior suite with jetted tub. The drawback is it was right above the pool, which can get noisy with kids during the day. The view is amazing. The kitchen is outdoors , well equipped. There are alot of stairs to get to your room, but the staff will help with your luggage. The restaurant , Madera serves excellent food and good drinks on the beach. We had great service with our waiter,Armando. You can get a massage on the beach right next door for $25 for 90 min. If you just want to relax and enjoy the beach, you would like it here. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had the King Suite and the patio area was HUGE.Also enjoyed the outdor kitchen that is well equipped. The only drawbacks are the stairs! About 75 in total from the street dawn to the rooms and beach. You have to be in good shape. Also the steep hill getting up to the property (Heart Attack Hill!) The other big problem for us is that there is no pool.Sal, the manager, was absolutely amazing. Always asking if we needed anything and so kind. Would I recommend Arena Suites? Absolutely !!

Great location. At the top of a hill with an amazing view of a beautiful bay. There was a lovely infinity pool with plenty of seating options or you could swim in Madera Bay. The onsite restaurant served above average food. The service was great and everyone very friendly, always wanting to help.

The Hotel was on a busy intersection which was handy for the colourful local busses to take you to other beaches. El lugar es increíble! Si bien no es un hotel nuevo tiene todo lo que necesitas para disfrutar tu estancia. Leí comentarios sobre el agua salada y es cierto. Pero esto es en toda la zona ya que con el huracán Jhon bajaron los niveles de la laguna y por ello sus pozos se abastecen de agua de mar. Nada que un garrafón de agua no pueda solucionar. Mi especial agradecimiento a todo el personal, recepción, meseros y staff en general, Liz, Stefan y Uriel nos atendieron súper bien y siempre muy amables, Jorge el gerente estuvo muy al pendiente de todos los huéspedes. El club de playa pequeño pero muy cómodo y completo hicieron que viviéramos momentos memorables en la playa que por cierto tiene una vista espectacular del atardecer. Otro punto notable es la comida que en su mayoría es producida de manera orgánica y artesanal pero sobre todo deliciosa. Las bebidas son muy ricas y la hora feliz dos veces al día es un plus. El hospedaje incluye varias actividades pero la que más nos gusto fue el paseo de en kayak en la laguna, donde Carlos el guía nos contó muchas cosas súper interesantes de la laguna de Coyuca. Otro servicio (costo adicional) son los masajes en la parte más alta de la propiedad, mientras escuchas las olas del mar recargar energía 100%. Sin duda regresaremos muy pronto a disfrutar de este hermoso lugar

En general todo muy bien! El personal siempre muy atento, quien nos llevó al paseo en kayak Carlos, muy atento y las chicas, Lizeth, Britanny, Esmeralda y Uriel también excelentes. Lo único que recomendaría sería que ampliarían su ancho de banda de internet o bien den una clave a quien nos hospedamos y otros a los que van al club de playa por qué se saturaba y de repente se requería.

This is a lovely hotel, no question about it. We stayed here only one night, and I wish we would have stayed longer. The town is so darn interesting! Like almost all of the town, this hotel is located on a small cobble walkway that is NOT accessible by car. The entrance is through a locked gate. Lucy met us at the gate, and graciously welcomed us to our "casita" There are steps to the upper level. There is a large common room that is tastefully decorated which serves as the reception/breakfast room. Our room was on the second level, fronting on a walkway/balcony, overlooking the town. (there is a view of the cathedral, though somewhat obstructed by a building in between.) Our room was lovely, with nice furniture and a good bed. The bathroom is tasteful mexican tiles. Lucy and her staff were very pleasant and helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable. There is also a lite breakfast served. The one drawback, as mentioned below, is the taxis that run all hours. Because of the narrow streets, and the overlooking nature of our room, we got a lot of street noise.

El personal del Hotel es de lo más atento y lindo, el desayuno (pan con café) estaba delicioso, siempre pendientes por si necesitas algo, instalaciones acogedoras y agradables, servicio de primera, lo unico malo es que no me llegaba el wifi a la habitación (y también cabe decir que yo no lo señalé, ya que de seguro nos hubieran solucionado al momento) el acceso es en subida y cansado (ajeno al hotel ya que toda la ciudad es así, solo lo digo para los futuros huéspedes), Agua Caliente siempre, amigables con el ambiente ya que no dan PET, simplemente Maravillado y a gusto con mi estancia. Consejo adicional, Bajen su equipaje mientras están cerca del hotel ya que de lo contrario hay que ir a la plaza Taxco y subir con maletas es algo pesado si no estás acostumbrado al ejercicio. Upon arriving in Taxco, I inadvertantly left my backpack in a taxi and lost my passport and tourist card. The owner of the hotel Mi Casita (Michele) took a personal interest in my problem and generously offered her time to assist me with all of the steps involved in recovering a temporary passport. Since I could speak very little Spanish, Michele came with me to the police station to translate and start the investigation. Michele contacted the bus line, hotel in Mexico, and airlines, the embassy to make the necessary changes in dates, etc. Her concern and involvement allowed us to enjoy the time left of our vacation and return to our country safely. I highly recommend this hotel and express our gratitude to Michele.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mi Casita. The location is really close to the central plaza (although there is a walk up a slight path and stairs to climb from the taxi dropoff). The walk to the plaza is an adventure as you walk on cobblestone paths, continuously going up and down, in the midst of constant traffic, with few sidewalks to walk upon, but with cautious drivers who have learned to be wary of awed tourists. The location of rooms 1 and 2 tends to be noisy at night, ask for another if that might be a problem for you. The breakfast is continental but very basic. The hosts are warm and helpful, ready to assist as needed. A good choice.

We fell in love with Hotel Mi Casita from the moment we walked through the gate (ring the bell, and pull it towards you when you hear the buzz, and then push it forward to open). The hotel staff made us feel welcome from the get-go, everybody is warm and friendly. The room was immaculate and very comfortable and the hotel has great views all the way around. Special thanks to Adolfo, who was always waiting with our key in hand everytime we returned and was always greeting us with a smile. Five Stars and 2 Thumbs up.

It all stated with excellent customer service from Pesvical. I kept a list of how many employees they have that gave us excellent customer service. The bell men David was next. The young bartender name, Jose in the Lobby bar. I didn’t even have to ask for my cranberry juice that I needed to mix with my medicine. The other bartender at the Coco bar named Omar was great . The food was good but the servers is what makes the restaurant experience even better. The first night we had a waiter tall gentleman with a name that started with the letter E I couldn’t remember his name. My daughter asked why there was no mango at the fruit salad bar and He asked her right away would you like some. He when into the kitchen and came back with the mango all cut up for her. That’s when I decided that I would start writing down these exceptional employees names. The following day we had a breakfast and the waitress named Lourdes even when she was not our waitress on other days she would help us out. Jesus is other the waiter that goes above and beyond as well. Great events throughout the pool day. Awesome!

Good, food plenty of options. They let my wife make a breakfast plate and wrapped it in plastic to take up to the room as they don't have room service. Reserved in the Italian Restaurant for one evening. Food and service was excellent. There had been a mix up with our reservation which was resolved, though there were only two tables receiving service, so not sure why it took so long to sort it out? The "Funtastic Team" kept the pool hopping with their games and antics.

Everything! Food was amazing, but honestly drinks not the best, but the bar was excellent, excellent service, overall! We had an amazing view that could beat anything.

The food was authentic Mexican food, the fruit was fresh, the venue was outdoors if you wished.

The many options were overwhelming. When I didn't see fried eggs I asked and the cook responded, of course. Good service.

We loved our villa. There was plenty of room to spread out. We especially loved the outdoor balcony with the plunge pool. The staff was very helpful. It would be nice to see a spa in the future :)

The cleaning staff and restaurant staff were helpful, friendly and very good at their jobs. The resort itself was quiet and relaxing, with miles of beach to walk on and our own private pool to lounge around.

The white beach that stretches for miles with no one but me and my sweetheart wandering on it, the plunge pool right outside our patio doors, the view of palm trees and ocean from said plunge pool, the staff (Sofia, Luisa, Tirso, Fernando, Rodrigo, Carlos, Jaime, Jennifer- thank you), the food and the ability to relax in comfort are all reasons we’ve been to Marea twice and will return again!

Amazing secluded location in Playa Blanca, about 20 minute cab ride to downtown Zihuatenjo. We had a penthouse villa with a huge deck and private pool, wedding leave our villa the first day. Beautiful views. The beach goes for miles. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch were all great in the outdoor restuarant. Loved the basil vodka drink. Very relaxing and quiet. Beautiful pool. Great friendly and helpful service from all the staff. I would stay here again.

We were the only guests at the 9-room hotel the night we stayed. Honestly, it reminded me of hotels on the Amalfi coast in Italy. Our room was huge and airy, with 2 terraces, one with a spectacular view and a jacuzzi. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed both. The dining room also overlooks the city, and the new was especially amazing at night, with lightning flashing over the mountains in the distance. Our waiter, Jonathan, was particularly nice and helpful. He even came back to our room after dinner to explain the TV remote to us. The grounds are absolutely lovely, with a pool and hot tub overlooking a panorama of Taxco. The only downside is the winding road up the mountain--this is a short taxi ride away from downtown Taxco, so not for you if you want to be in the center of things. A minor quibble--the view, spacious rooms and friendly service at this place make it a lovely and peaceful destination.

El personal está siempre atento a tus necesidades y prestan un servicio de un excelente nivel. El desayuno fue increíble, con una calidad de alimentos y su servicio del restaurante al mismo nivel del hotel. Es la mejor vista de Taxco, sumamente recomendable para un viaje de pareja. Yo solo pediría que las persianas fueran totalmente blackout pero solo eso. Gracias a todo el personal de Cantera y Plata que nos atendieron como reyes. El camino es muy sinuoso y se pone peligroso y resbaloso cuando llueve por ser piedra, sería ideal que fuera de concreto pero así son las calles en Taxco de Alarcón.

El hotel es bonito. Pero nada se compara con la maravillosa atención de todo el personal. En el restaurante nos hicieron platillos especiales porque no se nos antojaban los de la carta y el señor que ayudaba en general fue extremadamente amable. Nos mostraron las remodelaciones que están haciendo, etc. Son extraordinarios en la atención. Estuvimos solos en el jacuzzi y en la alberca por lo que realmente es bastante exclusivo el lugar. Está lejos del centro y moverse es algo complicado pues las calles de Taxco son imposibles para transitar pero nada que un taxi no resuelva. Excelente

La pasé muy bien durante mi estancia. El personal es muy atento y servicial. La comida es buena (leí comentarios que no, pero sí es buena). La habitación muy limpia. ¡La vista es preciosa! Vale la pena hospedarse aquí, estás a unos 15 minutos del centro en auto/taxi. Si llegas en auto, recomiendo que primero llegues al hotel y luego te desplaces en taxi, no es caro y es más cómodo, porque las calles del centro son muy estrechas y empedradas, si no conoces resulta un poco complicado si manejas. Sin duda regresaré :)

De Cantera y Plata is an amazing place, it belongs to "Tesoros"and well worth it because it is absolutely amazing, the rooms are incredibly big and comfortable, you wi have your own jacuzzi with a great view, as a matter of fact you can not find a better view of beautiful Taxco, the staff is great, the food is glorious, we stayed there for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. It is worth the price. Thank you De Cantera y Plata for a wonderful experience!

The private pool and balcony was amazing. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The views were spectacular. I loved the guacamole and beers delivery every night. The seafood restaurant was exceptional.

The rooms are exceptional, with very large bathrooms / walk-in closets, and terraces with individual swimming pools and sofas. All the rooms have extraordinary views of the ocean and everything one could possibly need, as well as evening turning-down service that includes little local sweets. Service was excellent throughout, whether it be in the restaurants or at the reception. Well-thought details like offering cool drinks by the poolside. Very good, very fresh food at the restaurants, with many options and beautifully presented. Great areas around the infinity pools, well appointed and comfortable, with wonderful views of the ocean below. The area outside is great for biking (the hotel lends bikes to guests) and there is a beautiful nature reserve to run or bike closeby.

Hotelroom is awesome, it has everything you need. View is amazing. The room service is perfect and the food of the menu is really delicious! In gerenal the staff is super helpful and nice. Also the pool areas is very relaxing and the service at the pool is great.

Everything exceeded our expectations and we will be back. The setting is almost like Amalfi or Taormina (Italy) where the resort is on the cliffs, views from every room, restaurant, pool. Boutique size, so we made friends with several other guests and the wonderful staff. I loved being over a rocky coastline where you can hear the waves all night, but be aware that there is not a sandy or gentle/swimmable beach accessible from the hotel. I had a wonderful swim in the waves against the rocks at the charming little rocky beach accessible from the resort, wearing good shoes and a snorkel, but this may be challenging and not recommended for most. But the sea was the perfect temperature (this was over new year's.)

This place was very nice. The room was excellent and very spacious. Each bed had it's own room and there was a kitchen and a sofa.

Had never been to Taxco...the hotel was in a perfect location. Since driving around the very narrow and hilly streets seemed stressful, it was nice to have free valet parking at the hotel. Didn't need the car again until checkout. Can walk to Centro and many shops, take a VW Taxi to further away locations.... inexpensive and safe. The hotel staff was welcoming and the room, although a bit small, was modern and very clean. The restaurant upstairs was reasonable and the food very good! The front desk folks more than willing to answer any questions...

Location was excellent, just far enough from the central plaza to be a little more tranquil. The room, king with private terrace, was well appointed. We had a wall mounted TV, mini fridge, coffee maker with supplies for two, hair dryer, private bathroom with excellent water pressure (hot water a plus for Mexico) and mini split with AC. The valet parking was a plus. We arrived late morning, mid week, and luckily were able to check in early, saving on parking. The room included two water bottles and coffee supplies per paid night, more was available for purchase.

The location is extraordinary, it is just a short walk from Taxco´s city center (less than five minutes away!). Right from the start staff made us feel welcome, offering us chocolates on our arrival. In the room there was a lovely note from our room cleaning lady wishing us a nice stay a long with a lovely little gift. I have stayed at about six different hotels in Taxco and this one has definitely been my favorite so far. would definitely return.

I highly recommend this hotel. Although it is part of a big chain, it has only about 10 rooms and is within very easy walking distance to everything in Taxco. Nicely designed, very well furnished rooms, free business area with very fast computer connection, restaurant on the top floor with bar and great view of the city. AND... lovely friendly, helpful staff.

Very convenient location to the center of town. There is a fairly well stocked Oxxo convenient store within a half block of the hotel. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel has an Italian restaurant with an extensive menu including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only shortcoming is that there was not elevator.

This property is perfectly located! We could easily walk to the beach or to the Centro. Small restaurants and shops were nearby. The pool was awesome! They kept the patio clean and neat at all times and since there are very few rooms, the pool was never crowded. We enjoyed lazy mornings by the pool drinking coffee, then walked to breakfast, then took an easy walk to the beach or the mercado each afternoon.

We’ve been traveling throughout Mexico for the last 2.5 months staying in a variety of hotels, guesthouse and apartments. Out of approx 20 accommodations Villa Mercedes has been one of our favorites. Great location, close to Cento and in a quaint area full of lovely restaurants. Staff friendly especially the guy that works there (sorry his name escapes me) - he has very good English and always smiling. The room was spacious, light and very clean. Good sized balcony which over looked the pool. The room also had a kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge and utensils. Pool area was lovely, water temperature peecfect for escaping the heat and humidity. Shower had good pressure and was always hot and WiFi was good too although a little slow first thing when everyone must be using it. We only stayed for 4 days but wish we had stayed for longer. Would love to return in the future to both zihu and villa Mercedes. Great experience and highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villas Mercedes. Situated on a quaint local street, the location offers convenient access to La Madera Beach. While not in the center, the street is bustling with restaurants and bars, providing a perfect escape from the daily crowds. The pool area is charming, and the yard offers a peaceful retreat. Whether unwinding by the pool or exploring nearby attractions, there's plenty to enjoy. The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel's proximity to a taxi station and minibusses made transportation effortless. Throughout our six-day stay, we encountered nothing but positive experiences and good vibes. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, the staff was so attentive. They took care of our luggage, showed us their facility and made sure we were totally comfortable. The pool was always very clean and the area around it was always attended to. They have a kitchen at the pool as well. It has everything you need if it's not what you need in your kitchenette. The rooms were attended to everyday and ready for us when we returned in the afternoon.

We travel to Acapulco several times each year and have stayed in many hotels over the years. But recently, we have stayed at this hotel on our last three occasions. With each stay we have come away with a warm feeling that we have been appreciated and taken care of during our time there. The size of the rooms are mostly the same, but if you have a king size bed there is a lot more moving around space then if you have a room with 2 double beds. The bathroom has a very functional use of the space and allows two people to use the area at one time. The entry door swings around to close and give privacy to the toilet area and allows the other to use the shower or the sink area. The air conditioner control was easy to understand and the unit worked well. The pool was well maintained and the included gratis breakfast was great. EVER employee was very friendly and helpful. We like to move around and check out different hotels in areas that we have stayed. But this hotel's service has suited us so well that we now are a little leery about taking a step backwards with a different hotel. By the way, Walmart is just across the street for any of those forgotten items.

We had to be in Acapulco for an early morning medical appointment, so we went the day before and stayed overnight at ONE hotel on the Costera. What a great location! Lots of restaurants nearby and a Walmart basically across the street for some fun shopping. We love the buffet breakfast, especially the chilaquiles and the hot cakes, as well as the fresh fruit. The pool area is lovely and clean. The hotel is super quiet at night, and always clean. This is our only choice when we need to be in Acapulco.

this hotel is new,very nice, and simple. pool is very average, and you have to walk 1 minute to the beach but the hotel is half the price than others right around there and the ones on the beach. the hotel includes breakfast which is really helpful if you are going on a budget! one hotel acapulco is perfect for a fast beach trip that you dont want to break the bank!

Great hotel with awesome service. Got everything one might want, a clear suitable room, pool, breakfast, getting in\out not via the lobby, even after checkout you still can get everything you need for a day on a beach and leave your luggage in the hotel. Almost perfect.

If you love ocean cliff views and ocean pool access, this is the most amazing place ever! I couldn't get enough of my view from inside my room even! Really enjoyed this trip.

Our stay was a good deal since it was off-season. The room was very large and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. I really enjoyed the three swimming pools and the large terrace overlooking the bay at the upper pool. It was nice to be on-site for the cliff divers. Most of the staff was very nice. It was fun to stay in a place that used to be one of the premier hotels in Acapulco!

Get ready for a workout. There’s an endless amount of stairs for you to go up and down. I checked in early (no extra charge) and was given the keys to 1 of 2 rooms I had reserved. The 2nd room wasn’t available until after the regular check in time. The 1st room had a vaulted ceiling and was spacious. The 2nd room was on the smaller side. Both rooms had 2 full size beds, TVs, working ACs, and hot water. There is no wifi in the rooms yet, only in the lobby and restaurant. 3 pools: the ocean/salt water, kid friendly, and a deep one at the very top of the hill. Get towel passes from reception. Parking in the front of the hotel is limited because the restaurant is a popular tourist attraction for the clavado shows and paying patrons are allowed to park in the hotel lot. In case the lot is full, they send you to the lot down the street, which is manned by security. The hotel has security throughout the property. The tub was clogged and not draining, notified reception and they sent a tech to fix the issue. I got locked in the bathroom and reception sent a tech to get me out. Response times were super fast. Check out was simple.

It was a surprisingly great stay! From the moment I arrived, where I was greeted by the friendly staff, until my departure, I was pleasantly surprised. Of course the views are incredible. The salt water swimming pool was so enjoyable. It's a diamond in the old, run down part of the city, but I knew where it was when I booked it. Maybe that was what made it so surprising!

The view was amazing. I could see the Pacific Ocean. The installations are excellent and I could enjoy the landscapes and the nature. There were beautiful swimming pools to relax. I could eat a delicious breakfast at the open-air restaurant while I was looking at some divers, the turtles and the sea.

One of the cutest places we've ever stayed. So much attention to detail of aesthetics. Great location near the airport but with zero noise, just the sound of the ocean. Good restaurants nearby and a nice beach. The area feels safe and they were kind enough to let us park our motorcycles in their lobby overnight. Gabi, the receptionist, couldn't have been more gracious. We loved our stay.

I am a frequent traveler and this was one of the best experiences I had lately.The staff is very friendly.The hotel is cosy, unique and comfortable, conveniently located.It is like a small museum and I bought some nice artifacts.Very happy with my stay.

Casa Jaguar is a little oasis, green, well kept, with tasteful decoration and super friendly and helpful staff. While my stay was very short, I would definitely go back there if I went to Acapulco again.

Close to the beach and restaurants. Love the authentic decor. My boyfriend proposed on the terrace so this place will always hold a special place in my heart. We enjoyed and loved our stay!

I’ve have a lot of great stays in Zihuatanejo, but this is now my favourite. It starts with a greeting from the super friendly & helpful staff, as well as Misha, the resident feline. She may even come to your room to say hello! Everything is wonderful: the spotless facilities, the central location and nice pool yard, you will love this hotel. We had a jr double suite. AC was excellent , helped us get a restful sleep in their comfortable beds. Location was quiet at night and in the morning. Steps away from lots of shops, vendors, restaurants and Mercado Central. The continental breakfast with breads, real fruits, coffee & juices will get you fueled up & on your way with the option to order other items. I’d highly recommend this if you like to explore the city and its beaches during the day, with an opportunity to come home and chill in the pool or go to the beautiful rooftop terrace. We met lots of very friendly people also on vacation . There are stairs with no elevator so not recommended if you have mobility issues. All in all, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We are even looking to book when we return in Feb or March. Their ratings don’t lie , it is an excellent hotel. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Hotel Casa De La Palma is a terrific little place to stay in Zihuatanejo. My wife and I were very impressed with the staff on arrival and through your stay. Friendly, professional and accommodating. The rooms and overall property are kept well and very clean. Our room was humble but nice and very clean. We had a king size bed and it was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Only thing was the water in shower never really got very warm, but we didn't mind because of the temperature outside! I'm sure they would have solved it if we had said something. The hotel feels safe with the night staff always there and the locked gate. Location is very central, on a street amongst the locals with fruit stands, pharmacies and other shops, and easy access to taxis and local buses. 10 minute walk brings you to many restaurants and bars downtown Zihua. 5 minutes further and you're at the beach. The pool is nice to cool off in and the rooftop patio is a great place to lay back on the hammock or rocking chairs and get a view of the surrounding local life. Staying at Hotel Casa de la Palma felt like we were amongst the locals which we really liked. And the price was very affordable. Amazing value overall. If you're looking for a simple but clean hotel at a great price, I'd highly recommend Hotel Casa de la Palma.

I couldn’t have asked for a friendlier, more helpful experience! This sweet little hotel is right in Central Zihuatanejo- walking distance to tons of excellent restaurants, the market, shopping, nightlife, etc. Everything looks freshly and brightly painted, small pool also very clean, a welcome way to cool off afternoon wandering the market and shops! I stayed one night at the beginning and end of my trip, and it was a great place to get oriented before heading out to beaches and other parts of Mexico. Next time, I’ll stay longer. I have to give a special shout-out to the owner, Ana, as she did me a huge personal favor, for which I a mother very grateful. I booked here based on others’ reviews, but will rebook because I had such a positive experience.

We spent a week at Hotel Casa de la Palma and were welcomed graciously by the manager, Jose. Jose gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel is next to the market close to great restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. The hotel was very clean and secure. The resident cat, Misha, greeted us every time we returned from our day. We spent our days at the beach or doing activities and was nice to come back in the afternoon to cool off in the pool. The airconditioning worked great and the hotel is very secure. The price is outstanding! I will definitely return!

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alba Suites. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had fun visiting the several pools and water slide. In addition to having a salt water pool built in the bay, the hotel is also easy walking distance from a sandy Pacific beach. Thanks to its location away from the city center, the hotel area was wonderfully quiet and relaxed. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. While another review complained that their kitchenette did not include any pots or pans, there are bilingual signs posted over the sink asking visitors to check those items out from the office as needed. Our only issue during our stay was that the shower floor was not sloped steeply enough towards the drain, allowing some water to run out under the door. I would definitely return to Alba Suites next time I'm looking for an inexpensive, relaxing stay in Acapulco.

Acapulco is a very expensive place now, so if this is your first time there, DON"T stay at Alba Suites, because this is not the real Acapulco you're looking for ... so be ready to pay more then! However, I have been there several times to Acapulco, so I just need a comfortable place to sleep, I rent a car and travel wherever I want, so this is a good deal. It has a kitchenette, which I love so I can have my own food if I don't feel like eating out. The hotel is quite big, spread out on several units of 2 floors each, the pools are in between these units. Considering its size and openess I think it is very very clean, but on the other hand it is noisy during the day, specially all the kids in the pool. It's not near the beach whatsoever, but sits on a hill with a nice breeze, unfortunately no views to the sea from most rooms, I guess only one of the outdoor terraces. This hill is located in the old part of Acapulco, so you do need to go all around the bay to get where "the action" really is, however, once back in the evening is deliciously quiet !! which I like, unlike the expensive hotels on the costanera that deal with the noise of bars and people outside the streets. If you don't have a car, I think outside you can take a typical Acapulco taxi, VW black bug.

The staff was friendly but their English limited at the reception area. We were showed to our accommodation promptly The hotel is older and there was more stairs than we expected to access our edifice. The edifice elevator was not always cooperating. The room was clean, good size fridge, there was a beautiful breeze on the balcony. We also had a nice view of the city. It was quiet. The bus service to the Caleta beach and shopping area was really appreciated. They have a lot of long term, friendly, Canadian guests and they guided us around. We had a relaxing week at Alba suites, the pools were clean and enjoyable. The pool chairs comfortable. Their convenience store was really handy.

I absolutely love this hotel and will be coming back! Although it seems far from the main walkway it's really not you can take a combi (taxi van) for 10 pesos a person. I love how the hotel is very family friendly, has many pools, and you can swim on the ocean water. My only con is how bad the restaurant is and for the price it's not worth it. Not only that but the staff just stood there and stared at myself and my father eat. Instead I suggest leaving the hotel and eating at the restaurant near the tortilla shop. It's very inexpensive and delicious!

The property was large and had many facilities available for use including a grocery store and several pools.

Didn't use the pool but it looked nice. The hotel reception was also able to organize a tour at short notice. Best of all is location, location, location. The hotel is walkable to both Costa and Estrella de Oro bus terminals (especially Costa) and is very walkable to the main plaza. Also, the toiletries are really good smelling.

Just spent two lovely nights in Taxco. The hotel was very cute, clean and comfortable. We had a junior suite and requested a view, which they were kindly able to accommodate. The views from our small balcony were incredible. The pool area was great and the restaurant at the hotel was excellent. A basic continental breakfast was included, but we opted to order additional dishes off the menu. The refrijoladas and sopes were both delicious. It is not a few minutes from the Zocalo, but the city is steep and hilly, so be prepared for that with sensible shoes. The service was friendly and helpful. It was also a perfect location for the Saturday silver Markey as if I’d equidistant from the bus station and main square/cathedral.

I love the place, well located just in the middle of everything from Santa Prisca's Church to the Jewelry and silver market. The staff is courteous and professional. Our check in took literally 2 minutes, the room was cozy, clean, has amenities such microwave, refrigerator, iron, iron board, hair dryer. The pool is a really nice feature as well as the hot tub, small gym and spa. Decoration it's colorful and full of pieces of art along the hotel. We love the place and can't wait to return once more.

The property was just as described, beautiful views and the staff was very helpful. It was a plus to have a pool and it was at the heart of the city with lots to do around.

Excellent restaurant! Cozy villages and the hotel has private parking place. Excellent location, near to zocalo. Also, it has jacuzzi and pool.

This is a beautiful hotel. The apartments are very large with kitchen and fridge and separate dining room beautiful views and the prices are half the price of the large hotel Monte taxco next door.(but you can use all the facilities of Monte taxco hotel. The reception staff were very good.

Las villas son muy buenas, tienen privacidad, bonito paisaje, muy limpias, con todo lo necesario para vivirlas, utnsilios de cocina, saetenes, eso me sorprendió, solo tomen en cuenta en meses de abril y mayo hace mucho calor y se necesita vebtilador, pidan uno en recepcion, son muy amables.

Con esta son dos veces que los visitamos y quedamos encantados, estamos planeando ir 1 vez cada dos meses. Lo que no nos encanto mucho ahora que nos toco en las casas del fondo y nos sentimos muy lejos pero de ahi en fuera es un lugar EXTRAORDINARIO

The beverages and snacks at the front desk are reasonably priced. The rooms are modest but very clean. All the employees wear uniforms so it is easy to tell who works there. They have parking for guests on the first floor right next to the room. The parking floor is tiled and I saw them SCRUB it! How many times do YOU scrub your own garage floor. It is almost inappropriate to have ANY complaints or suggestions. I only have two and they are from a male's perspective. Both would add income to the hotel. 1. Install an ice freezer in the front desk area. The vendor would supply the freezer and the hotel could make a profit on each bag of ice sold. The vendor would maintain the ice supply. There is a convenience store two blocks away that sell it for 31 pesos ($1.61). The hotel has an unlimited supply of styrofoam coolers so that would be included with the ice. I bought one before I found out they would let me use one of theirs. (They are from unknowing guests like me that purchased one before asking). Mark up the price of the ice to cover the electricity and profit. 2. Offer a premium coffee maker for rent. Us Americans are coffee drinkers. We like it premium and we like it hot! Or, provide coffee in the front desk area and price it to make money! Add a microwave to zap it when necessary.

Wow. This hotel is a hidden gem. The place is beautiful the rooms are so nice and that you can go with your car right to the room or right below it is you got the second floor is so convenient. And that pool is so clean and nice. There was people at the pool all day long from morning to night. The only thing thay i didnt like was that you have to asked for the iron and the ironing board and then they come back for it. Each room should have one and a hair dryer. I love it when I go back it'll be my first choice.

When we first got there we thought it was a big mistake. It’s a motel not hotel. The room faced the sun so you had to keep the curtains closed so it was not the best first impression! Then we went to the pool and loved it. Great bar, nice staff and wonderful breakfast. I have never seen a place so clean they went to exceptionally steps to make sure it was spotless.

Very nice hotel. Good location, very clean swimming pool, very nice and comfortable rooms. A very recommended place to spend your vacations in Acapulco not too far from Costera but far anough from the noise, hustle and bustle of it. Highly recomended.

Right in the city center. Taxco is not for the faint of heart, period. So if you can’t climb stairs that’s not the hotel’s fault. That’s the lifestyle. As far as I’m concerned this is where I’ll stay and recommend when I come back, because I will come back. We took the cable car to the luxury hotel across the way. That’s great for resort and golf living by a pool. Boring for me. Agua escondida had it all, City center life, quiet spa oasis, Clean pool, amazing views, shopping. Lobby helps you find tours to the caves, they even have washer and dryer if you pack light. We didn’t try the restaurant because we look for hole in the wall places but it looks pretty. For silver shopping I recommend A&J, skip the boutiques. And for food, climb down to la güera for hand made tortillas and food that locals eat. Stay at Agua Escondida. You won’t regret it.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The staff was great. The room was nice and clean. The restaurant was excellent and we didn’t bother to go anywhere else because of that. The food is creative and delicious. I guess my only tiny Negative would be the fact that there is no AC in the room and I would think in the heat of summer it would be difficult. There is a tower fan in the room and we had both windows open. At the end of May it was fine. It is in the mountains so that may make a difference even in July and August. Also, the pool could’ve been just a little bit cleaner although it wasn’t bad. Don’t Miss the rooftop terrace where There is a full bar and restaurant service, and the menu is completely different from downstairs. It was very creative also! It was a really fun place to sit, hang out, and have some drinks, because the view is beautiful. The menu looked really great! We were sad we didn’t have time for another meal! Again, staff is top-notch. If we ever go back, we would definitely stay here again!

We got the top floor room and the view is amazing. The hotel is clean and the room is very nice, the beach Infront of the hotel is also very nice. The staff were helpful and nice (especially the girl at reception). Also nice drinks at the pool bar.

My wife and I booked this hotel when our usual Zihuatanejo hotel was booked up. We love this hotel. We booked the private pool suite which was an awesome suite. It was great to have a private pool during the hot days. The hotel has a main pool which we also used. All hotel staff were very helpful, especially Enrique and David. The hotel is in a great location and olny about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the town centre, the beach, and beachfront restaurants. There are many great restaurants just outside of the hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Nice big rooms with fridges and a deck providing beautiful town and bay views. Clean. Nice pool area with lounge chairs right beside the restaurant. Staff helpful and responsive. We didn’t eat much at the hotel but a couple of restaurants just next door were excellent and the shops and restaurants of Centro Zihuatanejo are a short 10 minute walk away. Only drawback is music noise from the city projects loudly at night towards the hotel and the poolside music was also too loud at times however staff did turn it down when asked. I would recommend staying here.

I chose Zihuatanejo for the same reason the writers did, it's smaller, and quieter and more like a hideaway in real Mexico. I was fully rewarded with all that. The hotel is comfortable and ascending in those efforts. There's a whole great team there daily, managing, supporting, and improving the whole place. I stayed two weeks in a spacious apartment. This was home base with a pool steps away basically to myself most days. The pool for families was on the other side. The fresh food markets are mere steps away with the world's best produce, especially the avacados and the magnificent mangos. So many places to eat, but don't miss the chance to meet Horatio in the café and let him whip you up anything you request for a meal or drinks. Add strawberries from the strawberries lady, and it's your choice, margarita, daiquiri, you name it. Or let him pull you into the real traditions of their culture. I found him a very relatable ambassador to lots of meaningful aspects of Mexico's long held cultural heritage. The main beach is a short walk with a bunch of other beaches and water activities in easy access by walking, biking or taxi. There's a phenomenal blues trio that plays Thursdays, ask the front desk.

Only everything! It was like this place was made for our family. It was well located, spacious enough for the four of us to feel comfortable and the beds were a delight to sleep in - after my initial scepticism, the big, heavy pillows were absolute heaven! The kitchen was welcome as we like to self cater for breakfast and used the barbecue for dinner. Best of all, however, was the pool, which we enjoyed every day of our stay - it was especially refreshing in the evening, when we chatted and shared beers with the other guests.

Location in Zihuatanejo is great. Easy walk to the market, a two minute walk to a bakery and laundry. Close to downtown and Playa Madera. Facilities are well-maintained and very clean. Property felt safe and secure. The pool is very refreshing. The units are well stocked in the kitchen to prepare basic meals.

Fantastic Stay! Loved the proximity to the beach and the vibrant local area. The pool is stunning and the rooms are huge.

If you wanted cleaning, you leave your key card at the front desk and the service was provided. Pool area was clean and with some nice views of the city. Pool was on the cooler side, but refreshing in the hot afternoons. Will definitely stay here again!!

Best part is the pool area, beautiful pool with amazing views as it's on the roof of the hotel. Hotel common areas are clean, room was clean upon arrival. Location is good, close to downtown. There's a laundromat downstairs so there's a bit of noise from that but it's not too bad.

Upon arrival we were not sure what to except with the Hotel or area we chose this year. However, after checking into our room and checking out the rest of the Hotel we were just as happy with the rooms and cleanliness as we have been on any of our visits to Zihuatanejo. The rooftop pool was beautiful, clean and relaxing. The only thing for some could be the noise in the area, but because I read previous reviews we came prepared with earplugs we wore at night and it solved the problem. We would definitely recommend this Hotel and can also say that we ate in many of the restaurants near it and the food was top notch and extremely affordable.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are very friendly and super helpful with all our requests. The bed was comfortable and everything is very clean. There is an elevator which we definitely appreciated since we were on the 4th floor. The rooftop pool is beautiful and peaceful with a lovely breeze and a panaromic view of Zihuatenejo. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

The location, it’s a short walk to the beach. The staff were extremely helpful. The beds were super comfortable, the room was cool and very clean, rooftop pool with views of the city was excellent. The laundry on the ground floor is very convenient too. Rosario and Sandra in reception were very friendly and helpful.

I have been to Coral Ixtapa on several occasions. If you are active it is a 20 minute walk into Ixtapa (Or a $3 USD cab ride.) The maids are great cleaning the room everyday and leaving towels crafted into animals and baskets of flowers. The pool is small but adequate. Hot water is prevalent in the mid day as they have solar water heat. But even in the evening or morning there is warm water if you let the faucet run a few minutes...what a waste of water though. Funny thing is you never know if the right or left handle is the hot water. Friendly, customer caring staff speaking broken English. It is right on the golf course which is like a nature reserve. I would wander around each evening to see the quail, birds, banana trees, beautiful birds and even the large CROCODILES on the golf course. There is an easy gate access to the golf course and I would walk to town on the golf cart tracks (during the day...in evening I found gate by the golfcart rental locked, so had to backtrack a ways...) Fitness center?_ who needs it when you can walk, jog, golf all on the golfcourse accessible from the site...? Kitchenette and refrigerator, juicer, coffee maker, dishes, stove top, etc are all included.

It was a quiet area of Ixtapa and not the hustle and bustle that is near the beach with the big hotels. We have stayed at the big resorts and when you are trying to sleep there is people kids screaming and hollering and slamming doors and maybe by 1 or 2 a.m. things quiet down. You do need to take taxis if you want to go to the beaches or downtown Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. The desk is in contact with the taxi service and they are there within 5 minutes. We had grandkids with us and they were happy with the resort. The pool was not over crowded and there were other activities for them to do.

My wife and I stayed here with friends through the Armed Forces Vacation Cub Website for 2 weeks and loved it. It is located on a golf course off the beaten path where the majority of the beach resorts are located. It is in a very nice neighborhood surrounded by beautiful villas and backs up to an 18 hole golf course. The rooms are spacious and clean and well kept up as are the grounds also. The swimming pool was kept very clean and was a refreshing break after a long day of sightseeing. The downside was its distance from restaurants and shopping which necessitated the need for transportation since it was not feasible for us to walk very far. The staff took very good care of us and responded quickly to our requests. I especially want to thank Enedina and Luis for everything they did for us. They always went out of their way to help make our stay there a most memorable one.

Coral Ixtapa is a very nice hotel. The rooms a very spacious and clean. However the hotel is very old and needs up dating. The beds are firm but we brought a memory foam pad that we checked in a large suitcase. Made all the difference in the world! The view from patio is beautiful overlooking pool and golf course. Location is about 1.5 miles from hotel zone. We walked everywhere but like walking.

A very nice, quiet resort, but you need to speak some Spanish. In the normal heat it's too far to walk to restaurants or the beach area, but taxis are quite reasonable - a couple dollars each way. The living area is very large with a very large patio (on the ground floor). The AC worked well after we had a glitch (water from the AC on the floor), which was repaired the next day.

I booked this hotel for a few extra days before we moved to our timeshare room at another hotel. I was just looking for a place to sleep near the beach and I was pleasantly surprised by the Fontan. It is an older hotel and it is showing its age, but the rooms were clean and the staff was wonderful. The food wasn’t bad, but downtown Ixtapa is directly across the street where you can find whatever you are looking for. The pools were clean, we did get up to ‘save’ chairs but that would not have been necessary, there was plenty of room. Lots of local kids and families, particularly on the weekend, but I don’t mind that. Everyone was just there to have fun.

The property is very well kept. The pools are nice. The beach is beautiful. The food us your typical all inclusive. Some days it was cold, but overall it was good.

If you're standards are extremely high and you're looking for a 5 start VIP hotel where everything is "perfect" stop reading now and don't come here...but if you're looking for a great place to eat, sleep and where all employees are fantastic in a city where the economy is starting to rebuild again, this is the place to be! We were stressed coming here because of the reviews but we are pleasantly surprised! Honestly, amazing service, the food is fantastic and the locals are so nice. The people who say the service is awful just aren't being kind to the employees. The elevators are very, very long but ask for a 2nd or 3rd floor with an ocean view and it'll be the perfect vacation. The hotel is older but it's very well maintained. The AC works and we do have hot water. There are alot of locals on the beach but it's lively. The pools are very clean and the slide for the kids is functional. Just beware when walking on the beach, there is alot of broken glass, but we've been sitting at the pool the whole time and it's been great. The private security are all very great! Thank you to Humberto, Carlos, Eduardo, and anyone else we forgot. Also, the city is very safe during the day compared to what we were told! Hoping the tourism in Acapulco will bounce back because it's a beautiful place

It was ok !! Could been better long wait to check in and alot of kids alot of kids!!! No space in swimming pool and no beds in beach for sun or chairs . Pool closes super early and only one waiter in entire restaurant we had to serve ourselfs!!

I like the indoor pools, but they gave me my room after one hour of my check in.

The bad parts first. The elevator situation is pretty bad. When we arrived there were two of the four elevators working. The third was fixed while we were there. We took the stairs mostly as waiting for the elevator took a long time. They could or should consider small refrigerators In the rooms. The good, The good was very good albeit the same most days. The staff was very nice. The check in was fast, the checkout not so much the that begins the desk, Michelle recognized we were checking out and go to us quickly. The pools and the beach area are very nice Avoid Acapulco on weekends or ingress and egress during the week. The Mexico City tourist are packing the city. The ride from the airport can take a while as there is still road construction I would endorse this hotel. Met one of the managers, Sebastian. Interesting to talk to. Staff is very good

I appreciate that there was a wifi extender upstairs, outside our door for internet as the signal wasn't strong in room. My friend was worried the whole time we were there for going out at night, no safe, ect. Zihua is a wonderful town and I will be back by myself!!
