Everything, it’s so beautiful and quiet and peaceful. Loved our room with the plunge pool!

We loved our stay here. We had the plunge pool room and it was absolutely beautiful. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival, the man behind the reception was so incredibly helpful, and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

The property is on the side of the island that is accessible only with the golf cars = taxis on the local island. It's a new property, carefully designed. The main building reminded me more of a city hotel than an island hotel. We had booked the rooms with the private pool and I wish we had a bit more privacy in our balcony/private pool. The room was spacious, the bed big and comfortable. We had to ask for a hair dryer from the reception but the rest of the bathroom amenities were provided (towels, shampoo and shower gel). The breakfast was tasty although it was lacking variety.

The staff were absolutely exceptional! Juan and Annie were so kind and consistently checking in on us. The room was clean and the staff evidently cared deeply about the property. We stayed in the plunge pool suite and the pool was deep cleaned every morning. We are often at the property because the food was wonderful, the horchata was the best on the island! We stayed for 5 days and the breakfast was on a perfect 3 day rotation, keeping it interesting and it was so fresh and tasty.

It was absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing! Was able to communicate with staff via WhatsApp at literally any time during my stay. The plunge pool upgrade was so worth it especially after staying out in the town until after pool hours and being. able to come back late and swim at any time. Would 1000x go back. We went for a little weekend getaway without our 3yo so it being adults only was extra peaceful.

Very nice. Very private rooms. The private pool on extremely hot days is wonderful. The morning breakfast and rooftop sushi bar for pool are amazing

Excellent quiet beach location with many loungers/palapas! Short walk to the town. There is a Convenience store next to the resort/beach which is nice! Daily breakfast buffet had good variety. Highly recommend a room with a private pool! Staff was very friendly and helpful!

This was a last minute trip. Greatly satisfied with the hotel and staff. Very quant. Some rooms have a private pool which we took advantage of. The food was good. There was not live noisy entertainment which we appreciated. We would revisit this hotel again.

Very quiet and relaxing resort. Food was great with different international cuisines each night. Loved the personal pool with our room. Best place to stay if you are looking for slow pace and relaxing vibe.

We stayed 10 nights at this hotel and did the basic all inclusive ! Our room had a private pool which i really enjoyed. Small resort and perfect ! Food, staff and location is amazing !!!

Check in was super easy, You get instructions the day of your arrival. My room was very clean & very nicely decorated just like the pictures here on Booking.com . The room had a coffee maker, fridge, cups & wine glasses (nice touch if you drink wine ) The courtyard was very peaceful & Green with palm trees & a pool that is perfect to sit in after a day of adventure & sun … As well as an outdoor shower & Chairs to sit down and relax next to the pool. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Holbox next year 2026. Highly Recommend!

Madre Holbox is a beautiful design gem on the main street in Isla Holbox. The hotel is new and truly gorgeous. It comes with a nice patio and swimming pool which is shared between the 7 or 8 rooms. The only thing worth mentioning is that there is no daily cleaning service. I would definitely recommend to other travellers!

Centrally located. Property and rooms were pristine at all times. Self check in was easy. Property manger was easy to communicate with. Beautiful courtyard with modern decor and clean pool. We wil definitely book again the next time we visit Holbox!

Best value for money in Holbox. Well designed rooms and very good size too. Pool is nice but doesn’t get the sun… however I have to give it a 10 due to the value for what you get.

Staff go out of their way for you. The restaurant staff were always so friendly and tried helping with room service when my mum wasn't feeling well. The desk staff asked if there were any special occasions when we checked in and I mentioned it was my birthday the following week, I got a surprise cake on my last day there! Swimming pool lovely and different. Hotel next to the beach and walking distance to the bioluminescent areas.

Although we booked through Booking, which overpromised and overcharged for extras the hotel itself wasn’t even aware of, the Naay team went above and beyond to resolve everything. They were flexible, communicative, and took full responsibility, ensuring my husband and I could still enjoy a magical weekend for his birthday. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations: 🌅 Room View: Truly spectacular—waking up to that view was unforgettable. 🍴 Food: Very tasty and freshly prepared. 🤝 Staff: Friendly, attentive, and efficient—the kind of service that makes you feel cared for. 🌊 Location: Perfectly set away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet only a 5-minute walk to the bay with bioluminescent plankton. Because of this, we could experience the magic of the glowing water on our own, without a tour, and still had time for the three-island tour and whale shark excursion. Naay Boutique Hotel turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless, memorable celebration. Highly recommend this hidden gem if you’re looking for a place that values its guests and offers both tranquility and adventure.

This hotel was the best part of my entire vacation! The property is absolutely breathtaking. The staff are so helpful and patience. They will escort you to your room, show you how to use the amenities around the property and will assist in any way they can. The property is the last resort of that side of the island and it is so serene and picturesque. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and I loved having the company of the iguanas running around (They wont bother you at all I promise)

The Naay is perfect for the traveller who wants to have a quiet and unhurried break and still have access to all the hustle of a fun, vibrant tourist town. The staff are friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again in the swim-out room!

This is the hotel you have been looking for! It is in a quiet and more natural part of the island, the staff is incredibly welcoming and kind, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the sunsets here are breathtaking. While it may be a bit far from the city center, it is completely walkable (max 30 minutes and doable along the beach at low tide). You likely won't want to stay in the crowded and noisy center anyway. There is a nice beach behind the property but if you prefer a lazy day reading by the pool, the cabanas and lounge chairs are very comfortable and the wait staff will absolutely attend to filling your empty cup. Bike rentals are also possible if you book the day before and make getting across the island a bit easier. Lastly, the food at the hotel is delicious and made on-site - their breakfasts are simple and nutritious. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will absolutely return, especially when needing to recharge. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

This boutique hotel really exceeded my expectations in many ways. It was appointed with brilliance in all of its design details, and the staff was extremely warm and friendly from check-in to check out. Personally, I would not mind staying there for a week or so if I would return. It’s extremely remote, however, and certainly not a walkable property in terms of their being no restaurants nearby that I’m personally aware of that you would want to walk to, but for those that just want to hang out on a gorgeous property and going out on boat adventures that pick you up from the beach in front of the hotel, it’s perfect. Town is a 10-15 minute drive away on the ATV taxis that dominate the island, but there were some restaurants closer by ~ 5 mins away My only criticism, as petty as it is, is that their playlist by the pool had wayyyy too much jimmy Buffett, as much as I like him. Highly recommended

The hotel design and construction is excellent. The pool is well designed and fun. If you like swimming in the ocean, the water there often has a strong current. The dinner menu is limited but the food good. However, people don't eat till late, so if you are eating around 7pm, you will be dining alone. The breakfast is tasty, but the service a little erratic and slow. Over all, the staff are very helpful and very friendly.

This is an Amazing place. The Staff truely go out of their way to please. Walkable distance from town. The beach is just a block away. The pool is nice and clean. Cute basic breakfast and good coffee. Our deck had a private dip pool. Quiet and peaceful. Bikes to use. 10/10.

Deluxe apartments is a beautiful little gem, nicely nestled away from the downtown, but within walkable distance. The host and staff are very personable, welcoming, speak English, and are diligent at making sure that your needs are met. They are very accommodating, and respond quickly when any question or concern is raised. The unit we were in was decently equipped, and staff responded positively and quickly when we pointed out a few omissions. The bed was very comfortable and the large balcony surrounded by greenery was a great place for our morning coffee or afternoon board games. There is good water pressure and plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning and ceiling fan, provide the perfect amount of climate control for the room. The pool area is a nice little oasis that is very well maintained, and remains nice and refreshing through the day thanks to an abundance of palms providing some shade from the hot afternoon sun. The included Continental Breakfast is standard fare, but a more elaborate breakfast is available for a fee. The complex is within walking/hiking distance to Punta Ciricote, Punta Coco, as well as the main beach leading to the amazing sand bars. Highly recommend this little gem if you want to be close to town, but want something more serene and quiet for the evening/nights.

We stayed here for part of the Thanksgiving holiday on the upper floor. Building is a big rectangle: 6 units over 3 floors. The top unit was great for us - panoramic view all over the island, easy access to roof deck area, tons of afternoon breeze, We also arranged airport pickup and transit to the place through them. Easy! There is a palapa on the beach belonging to them 5-7 minute down the road, essential for being able to enjoy the beach in the intense sun. Beach is fairly shallow. There is a beautiful, laid back breakfast/lunch place right on the way called Casa Del Mar. There is also a nice swimming pool on the property that was never crowded. Everything was well maintained, comfortable and pretty! It's about 10-15 easy minute walk into the center of town, super fun with bikes.

The apartment was lovely and staff were very friendly. Due to transportation, we arrived an hour before checkin, and they allowed us to use all the facilities including the pool until our room was available. Excellent communication throughout our stay.

Pros--Property is well priced. Location is about three walkable blocks to the beach. Fantastic A/C and excellent pool. Fairly large with great kitchen. Cons--They did NOT send email reminder to pay them 50% down 45 days in advance like they said they would. The 50% down is ONLY allowed by wiring funds to a Florida bank. My bank charged thirty dollars to send them one hundred fourteen! At the office they DIDN'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS as advertised--cash only. As we had booked shuttle/ferry/taxi through them it was a huge hit requiring us to pay VERY high ATM fees. Very hard to find loc to get keys (straight shot from dock less than a mile on the left) and we had to phone to get a person (dial # EXACTLY as listed on the door, i.e. DONT add 0 or 1's). NOTE: office is actually "Holbox Rents" and takes care of multiple properties. Lots of bugs flew/crawled in under huge space under the door to outside. Stuff a towel in the gap! TIP--book a bio-luminescent excursion immediately after getting off the ferry at the end of pier. This is an AMAZING experience!! Only twenty dollars a person for the five of us as opposed to a lot more in advance. Can also get whale and flamingo excursions for a great price. And DONT ride on the top of the ferry out to the island unless ocean is flat. You will get soaking wet with stinging salt water! Take lots of bug spray. Golf cart taxis only charge three or four dollars per trip (not per person) for anywhere on the island.

The house and decor was beautiful. Very large 5 bedroom with a pool.

The Villa is a 15/20 minute walk from the centre so very quiet and peaceful. It is beautifully finished inside and the furniture and beds were of a high standard and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, crockery and pans etc so cooking is an option. There is very effective air condition throughout the villa which was blissful during the day and at night. The pool is just right for keeping cool and was very clean. I particularly loved the top bedroom which had the most amazing views and I could lie in bed and watch the sunrise and from the area outside of that room I could watch the sunset. There is a great beach 3 minutes away and many places to eat within a short walk. We were a family of 6 and travelled with our two year old grandson and it was perfect for us. Would definitely highly recommend it.

A really stunning villa with beautiful ensuite bedrooms and a nice outside area.

We absolutely loved our stay on Holbox and this small hotel was just perfect. It is at the quieter end of the beach - and the much nicer end- with the rooms just a few steps away from the beach with private sunbeds and hammocks, a stones throw from the beautiful water. We had rooms 8 and 9 overlooking the pool and the sea, on the first floor. Again, perfect for us (children sometimes splashing in the pool below but never a problem and it is such a small hotel it may only have been a couple of children when we were getting ready in the evening so no big deal). Rooms were so comfortable with free water provided and a nespresso machine. The breakfast each morning was delicious and could be delivered anywhere - we mainly had it in the lovely beachside restaurant. There aren’t masses of fscilities but who needs them when you have the gorgeous sea on your doorstep! The hotel did have some kayaks I think but we didn’t use them. It was about 10-15 min walk along the beach to centre of holbox. For us this was a high light each evening - to walk along in the sunset and find a bar for a cocktail before dinner. There are also little gold carts availabile in their masses if you need a lift! Overall it was paradise and I would highly recommend a stay here!

We stayed with our teenage son in the Superior Studio and it was perfect! The patio with table and chairs, built-in sofa and hammock was such a fun hang spot right near the beautiful pool and 75 steps to the beach. The location on the beach seems to gather the least amount of sargassum as it is situated behind a sand key. They have really nice shade palapas and maintain the beach beautifully. The whole property is so colorful and quaint with tropical trees and plants and feels like a family run hotelito. The food is prepared in a traditional open kitchen and everything is delicious. The breakfast and service was amazing and you can choose from a huge selection every morning. Its nice because its only for guests of the hotel so it never feels overrun. You can order from the bar/restaurant all day and night. Excellent service. Augustin went out of his way for us! The rooms are very clean and impeccably maintained daily. Oh! And Very comfortable beds.

Staying here was one of our holiday highlights! I couldn’t decide where to stay in Holbox as there is so much choice and price ranges but this hotel was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Firstly the location is great - right on a beautiful part of beach, lovely sand and water. it was a 15 mins walk along the beach to town. we would walk into town for dinner and get a taxi back. Taxi was always $150. There is a lovely hotel beach bar where we would have breakfast, lunch and cocktails. The food is excellent. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious. Great shower. Lovely hotel pool too if you didn’t want to swim in the sea. we had 3 nights here and completely relaxed and switched off, after a busy 12 night tour of the Yucutan Peninsula. I highly recommend this hotel

Everything. Our room was comfy and roomy. Love the little touches. The balcony was lovely to enjoy breakfast on. Great shower and the bed was so comfy! The staff were so friendly and helpful, you could just text them and they bring you drinks/food wherever you were. The pool was great and so refreshing! Just the most fabulous hotel, we were so sad to leave! It was a great location because the beach was beautiful and it was a nice 15 minute walk to the main town. We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

We enjoyed our peaceful stay with you. Our room was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast every morning was so delicious and the staff was very kind. Loved the fresh fruit, eggs and cheese quesadillas! The grounds are beautiful and the staff really takes care of every part of the property. Loved the clean swimming pool and beach access across the little path. Oh and LOVED the hammock on out porch. So peaceful to sway and listen to the ocean. We would definitely stay again. Favorite restaurant in town as Luuma!

A lot, we enjoyed the hotel very much, and even extended our stay. Good location (we could walk or ride anywhere without any problem), very good attitude and service, and very nice room. I loved that for some reason, even though we always turned off the AC when leaving, every time we returned from the harsh sun outside and back to our room, it felt cool and fresh. I also noticed a lot they did to improve the facilities, based on the negative comments I read previous to my stay (my room was right next to the pool, and it didn't feel humid at all, thanks to the dehumidifier; and it smelled nice, thanks to the continous aroma spray; nice LED stripe to fully illuminate the room if needed; shower had very nice pressure, although sometimes water wouldn't heat so much; pool was clean and fresh, and it had a bench to leave your stuff while in the water, etc.)

This hotel was simply delightful & the highlight stay of my trip. The pool was the perfect place to relax & cool off after a long hot day & the ambient music created a lovely atmosphere. My room was spotless & beautifully designed. The staff were incredibly helpful & I easily was able to book various tours through them. The free yoga sessions were the cherry on top! 10/10 recommend, do not miss this place. Also, I had no problem at all getting there - water does collect in the streets on the island but that is a widespread problem & part of having natural sand/dirt roads. There are pavements you can usually walk on or there were stones set in to any boggy parts. I had no issues at all (& I went in rainy season)

We really like how calm, clean and zen this place is. Very helpful staff, always ready to help with a smile. Because of the specific architectural design of the building, inside of the hotel was always cooler than outside without need of AC which complimented perfectly if you want to have a cool dip into the refreshing pool and cool down from the high degrees of hotness of the island. Room was spacious and clean, has a good AC. Definitely recommend to everyone! The place is a 5 min walk from the beach and the downtown centre.

Everything! The place is really clean, people are friendly, love the pool after a long day at the beach, it's perfect. The room was beautiful and comfortable. You can have coffee and tea in the morning for free. It's not far from the center, like maybe 10 minutes of walk. Really calm street. You can rent a bike and book tours. We really loved our stay there and for sure we will come back.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, I loved being there the music at reception, the pool, the decor, and the friendliness of staff! Also they do have good packages on the tours which are cheaper than booking online, I came to see the whale shark and bioluminescence and it would have been cheaper booking at the hotel. It was our first trip to Mexico, we started with a few nights in Playa Del Carmen, then a few nights in Cancun. We had read a lot about Holbox and decided to go there. Googled a lot to find the right hotel for our needs. We wanted a hotel with few rooms and a little outside the center but importantly, by the sea. In the end we found AWA Boutique Hotel. It turned out that we made the right choice. Our room, which was an Ocean Front room, was fantastic. On the terrace there was a bathtub and it was really cool to bathe in while watching the sunset! The room had a cool design and the beds were wonderful, we need 60+ for that. We had dinner when we arrived, everything was fresh and delicious. At breakfast you could choose from a menu and we had avocado toast with nice accessories, it tasted great. The staff gave the best service and were genuinely interested in asking us where we were from and asking questions, this became an intimate relationship and in the end you recognized everyone who worked at AWA Holbox. We recommend renting bikes and there was a rental place right outside the hotel. We cycled around the island and found many beautiful beaches! We can highly recommend this Boutique hotel, nice rooms, great service, good food, on the beach and finally, the service was exactly what we expected from a Boutique hotel. AWA Boutique Hotel gets 5 stars out of 5 from us!

Great location on the beach. Room #1 was upstairs with excellent views and a balcony. Mario at the front desk was extremely helpful with all our needs. The food was good but we also wanted to eat in town which is only a few minute walk. We rented a golf cart to explore the whole island and Mario set that up for us as well on arrival. The staff let us stash our luggage in the lobby lockers on the last day so we could explore an extra day. If you stay here you're also only a few minutes walk from the letters Holbox where everybody gathers to take pictures and watch the sunset on the pier. Truly a fantastic place in paradise!!!

This hotel is awesome. The rooms are really nice 10 points. Cleanliness...10 points Everything has style and just makes your stay unforgetable. Live Musik during the day with chill out / house music and bands in the afternoon/evening entertain in addition. The location is right in town, but at the same time this beach is a oasis right next to the epicenter. You would not know. The deckchairs and the entire beach setup is so clean, tidy and comfy. Staff is always present. The italian manager seeks the conversation with his guests. I had a nice chat with him. Breakfast is awesome. If you haven't been here...it's time to do so.

The location of the hotel is great, two blocks from the center where the main restaurants and bars are. Staying at the hotel gives you access to the beach club and the beach is absolutely stunning. Staff was great: reception, beach club and restaurant at night everyone was so kind and always ready to help. Rooms are nice and cozy with a nice ocean view. Live music at night was really enjoyable. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Beyond great place , made my holiday going to the next level and I’m a Genius 3 level and the owner of 40 Hotel - apartments on Booking.com . Sevice and staff was amazing. Actually we didn’t leave the hotel for almost 6 days , they gave us , more than what we wanted. This is the place to be on Holbox and I can’t wait to be back..

This hotel is an amazing find. It was everything we wanted and more! The room is large and seemed freshly renovated (powerful AC, TV, reliable bathroom). The amenities are great, especially the pool and swim up bar, as well as the restaurant that provided many tasty options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel staff is amazing and helpful. The location is perfect, at the end of a long strip of hotels so you get less traffic and it feels less touristy. Town center is just 15 minutes away. The bioluminescence tour they arranged for us was fun. Would 100% recommend and go back!

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The beach area is definitely the nicest part of Holbox. The restaurant is also one of the best. The Food was out of this world. The room felt luxurious and incredibly comfortable. We loved the pool as well with the swim up bar. The photos on their website simply don't do this place justice. We will definitely be back.

WOW! This is quite simply the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We were fortunate enough to get a free upgrade after we let the property know we were celebrating our recent engagement and the room was incredible, enormous space, huge comfortable bed, giant balcony with whirlpool bath, plus welcome gifts and a sweet treat left in our room every night. The beach club is fantastic, never a rush on or lack of sunbeds, the staff are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond in catering to whatever wants or needs you may have. The pool is wonderful and a great place to cool off in the afternoon heat, the swim up bar is fantastic and the cocktails are incredible, and fairly priced relative to the rest of the island. The breakfast menu is extensive and delicious, and we also ate at the restaurant on our final night which was the best meal we had on the island. We also ended up opting to pay for a transfer back to Cancun airport through the hotel, which was a seamless and calm experience compared to sorting taxis/ferry/ADO ourselves. Huge thanks to all the staff for honestly making this the trip of a lifetime for us, we'll certainly be coming back!

Excellent hotel. We stayed for 5 days for our honeymoon and were properly pampered. Amazing freshly cooked breakfasts on a balcony overlooking the beach, cocktails in the swim up bar (all made with fresh fruit and homemade syrups), and incredibly comfortable beds - the pillows are better than ours at home! The beach is far cleaner than some of the other hotels on the ideal, with very little seaweed. It's also in a great location, halfway between the town and the walk to Punta Mosquito, so it's really quiet. All the staff are fantastic, so kind and friendly and all speak wonderful English. The walk to town is about 15 minutes down the beach, or a taxi is about 5 minutes (150 pesos). We had a really excellent time.

The room was very spacious, at times it almost felt like it didn't need to be so big. The staff at the hotel restaurant were beyond helpful and made us feel welcome and appreciated throughout our stay. The food delicious, the drinks immaculate and the atmosphere sublime. The location is perfect for relaxing at the beach or at the pool, plus the staff are very eager to assist with any sort of transportation or sightseeing activities you might want to do on or around the island. Just make sure to get loads of mosquito spray, as it can be a literal bloodbath at times. We especially loved the diverse wildlife this hotel was surrounded by, like for example iguanas, sunbathing on the restaurant roof, Mexican eagles nesting on the watchtower nextdoor, fish, turtles and stingrays just off the hotel beach etc. Amazing for animal lovers!

Located in a quiet street just a few blocks from the ferry and only five or six from the beachfront. Check-in was quick, efficient and friendly although be aware that you will be required to leave a credit card number to cover any damage done. Davide spoke good English and explained this policy clearly. Note that reception is not 24 hour so check if you arrive at off hours. Rooms are spotlessly clean, the bed is firm but very comfortable with excellent pillows. A/C was quiet as was the ceiling fan. Rainwater showerhead has a water heater if you need hot water. It takes a while to warm up but works well. Not that you generally want hot water! A small fridge and sink allows you to buy and keep cool a few things from the stores. Like, oh say, beer maybe? There is a very small pool suitable for cooling down but not swimming and an outdoor shower for rinsing off. There are four or five tables with chairs around the pool area. Perhaps best of all, it is quiet at night so you can enjoy the lively nightlife downtown without having to give up your beauty sleep so you can look your best for the beach in the mornings.

The property was fantastic, very nice and clean with a cool pool area to chill out in with deck chairs / sun umbrellas. There were also nice plants and other tables / chairs around the pool. The room was well sized and decorated nicely with useful additions such as a fridge, ironing board and plenty of mirrors. David (FoH) was welcoming and friendly, gave us a useful introduction to the property and local area and he was happy to help with any of our queries. The location was excellent, allowing for a 10 minute walk to the beach and plenty of the best bars, cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes, whilst still being peaceful. Edwin the cleaner did a fantastic job and was always smiling.

Nice spacious room, nice pool area, good WiFi in room and by pool, friendly and helpful staff. Great location - 5 minute walk to ferry and to the town / beach. Far enough away that you don't get all the noise from the town. Good air con.

Perfect location, less than 5 minutes from ferry and about 7 minutes to walk to the beach. Totally quiet at nights but totally walking distance to everywhere. Rooms are simple but clean and lovely. No bugs, one pathetic fly in my room during my whole stay. Nice little fridge to keep your snacks and drinks cold. The water pressure in shower was awesome. Loved the big mirror on bathroom door. Pool is lovely. Not huge, but so nice to cool down after a hot day. Lots of chairs and tables in the garden (considering that hotel has 10 rooms), so you can hang out and watch hummingbirds. Staff is friendly and my favourite was Oreo, the official hotel mascot (cat). He keeps you company and the softest meow ever. Such a chill little dude. If I'll go back to Holbox, I'll book this hotel again for sure.

Wow, we loved this hotel. The location is perfect, 5 minute walk from the port and 10 minute walk to the main square. The rooms are beautiful with minimal modern decor. They have a kettle and a fridge in the room which is so handy. The AC is perfect and essential in the heat of Holbox and also having the option of the pool was great. The domestic staff ensure the room is spotlessly clean everyday which we really appreciated. The staff were very welcoming, so much so that we stayed an extra night!

Absolutely stunning room - spotlessly clean and huge bed. Nice big balcony and felt private. Pool area was a bonus and great location a few minutes walk from the beach and all restaurants / bars / shops.

Fantastic hotel. We looked at many hotels and were very happy with our choice at Tierra Del Mar. It is truly 1-2 blocks from the beach and near EVERYTHING. Even the bike rental was right around the corner. The pool is wonderful! There’s nothing like coming home after a day in the beach and jumping in the pool. The hotel is very peaceful and tranquil and clean. The staff is so friendly and available but not over bearing. The rooms are a very good size and the bed was so comfy. Very large closet area and they provide many hangers which is very appreciated. We slept so comfortably every night and had no problems with any noise whatsoever. You can hear some music from down the street but they stop at about midnight. We actually enjoyed hearing some life outside. But by no means did it bother us at all. We were so pleasantly tired from the sun and beach all day that we slept like babies.

This is a 10/10 (which is very rare from my personal experience). We always came back to our little oasis of peace and relaxation. It’s a family run small boutique hotel, with very good and personal service and just a few rooms. The room, the hotel and especially the pool area are fantastic, in terms of comfort and design with a lot of small tasteful details. It felt like home even if we stayed there just 2 nights. Would stay here every time again! The only thing we missed was a selection of Drinks or a small Bar e.g. with Water, Coffee, Smoothies etc. which would have been nice when you spend the day at the pool. As they do not offer any drinks or food (Breakfast is in cooperation with a Beach Hotel nearby). But overall this didn’t had a big impact having a great time there.

Having recently spent 9 nights at this lovely small hotel I can clearly see why it is so highly rated. Before we even arrived I had spoken with Isra and Arturo, both gave excellent information, advice and helped book private transfers from Cancun Airport which with their help ran very smoothly, through constant communication, which was gladly appreciated. Once we arrived we were swiftly checked in and shown the room/suite that we had booked . The hotel has 9 rooms (4 balcony / 4 ground floor and 1 suite ) . Our room had the luxury of the outside area that was quite private, and outside shower, sink area and day bed along with shaded area with a small sofa and hammock to wind down in at the end of the day. Bedroom was tastefully done and kept clean daily with sheets and towels changed every other day. Air con was essential as the weather although beautiful was humid , so walking into a cool room was always appreciated. The buildings and the gardens are tastefully done. The ground which surround the buildings is kept extremely clean and raked daily to give a great feel the place. Swimming pool was a great size to walk into to cool down. Both Isra and Arturo were helpful with anything we wanted/needed. We couldn’t have asked for better hotel mangers. Local knowledge / tours, restaurants and bars. What ever we asked for they always provided us with info. We wanted a relaxing holiday we got just that! Than you Tierra del Mar

Tierra Del Mar was both magical and memorable! It is authentic to the photos represented online. Stepping through the gate I felt like I had been transported back to Bali. The zen Balinese, minimalist, natural decor elements was so calming! Loved the care to attention in meeting all your needs ie- blackout curtains, access to fresh filtered water, clothesline, a safe, lounge/pool areas and having access to Isra the hotel manager extraordinaire! He provided us with information of Holbox and made and timed our arrangements for travel back to Cancun so we could make a daytrip to Isla Mujeres. He was always very welcoming, friendly, kind and helpful as was the other staff! Loved how they raked the sand like Japanese temple grounds!!! A true gem on this magical island of Holbox! Would highly recommend this “five star” hotel (three star doesn’t reflect what it really is!)

Overall wonderful experience. The staff were so lovely and helpful. They kept the grounds in pristine condition at all times, we’re so friendly any time we asked for recommendations or assistance, and were really thoughtful and sweet people! Amazing service. The pool was almost never used as the beach is steps away and so clear and warm. The few times we did enjoy the pool, it was clean and refreshing, with a shower just beside to rinse before and after. The yoga area on the third floor of the main building was a secret surprise! What a perfect place to watch the sun rise and relax.

So many reasons why you should stay at this property. Let's start with the hospitality, the staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. The breakfast is simple but made from scratch, excellent quality and a wonderful offering of American, Canadian and Mexican dishes that will satisfy all guests. Coffee in rooms for early risers like us. Very clean facilities that get a daily servicing. Towels are always fresh. Pool is refreshing and kept sparkling clean by the staff. The property is at the northeastern edge of town not in the middle of all of the town action. A very short distance from Punta Mosquito. Because it's not in the middle of town it doesn't have the noise that I would imagine they have in town. There are several good restaurants nearby that the manager can recommend. He will also recommend a couple in town. Cab ride into town was ~150 pesos or a 15-20 minute walk. We stayed here 7 nights and enjoyed every one of them.

The hotel is well kept, great rooms and very nice pool (though k didn’t use it). Breakfast is great - coffee, granola, fruits, eggs and bread. It’s not fancy, but. If you want a fancy one, with espresso coffee et , you can always go to any of the restaurants nearby. The staff is absolutely great. They were super kind. I got stuck on the island as the harbor was closed due to weather conditions, they helped me find out when it is open, ordered taxi etc. but more than that it was just a pleasure to speak with the manager and staff.

The staff was incredible. Felt like family, only took better care of us. Julio and ladies and the owner were always anticipating our needs and wants. Great yoga deck, super clean pool. Lots of good coffee and breakfast every day. Handled taxis for us and had a massage up on the deck .Super access to the great east end retaurants beach and sand bar. Great value. You wont be disappointed!

Staff were amazing, always friendly, and helpful. Rooms were just perfect, we had bathtub and amazing balcony with chairs and swings. Perfect romantic spot for couples. 2 mins from the beach and 15 mins walk to town. (Get some bikes) Sandbar was just in front of Hotel which is available to walk out to the point daily. Pool was refreshing. Couldn't fault this place.

I stayed at Arte Sano during a mum/daughter trip in April and we both loved our stay. The property is easy to reach by walking from the ferry. We arrived late and Victor sent me a virtual guide to the property and our room. Communication was amazing and all staff super friendly. The decorations of the hotel are very pleasant. The little pool is great and there are hammocks put up during the day for relaxing. The hotel is a very short walk from the beach. The location is awesome. There is some seaweed on the beach currently but it’s perfect for swimming nevertheless. There are lots of restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel each morning. Pancakes with fruit were our favourite. I would always stay at this place again! It felt very personal and welcoming! Victor can help with tours, transport, dinner recommendations or whatever you please!

the pool was great for the kids when we were napping the baby, the food was delicious, the staff especially Victor were amazing , location to the beach was perfect- a 2 minute walk and very quiet, the plants on the property are very well maintained and it’s beautiful

the pool is great, perfect temperature and nice and quiet. food here is amazing! pancakes for breakfast are delicious and 3 options at dinner are amazing every time! staff are friendly and helpful. location is so close to the beach and close to other restaurants. less than 10 min taxi to pier. bed is super comfy and the water was nice and hot. Wi-Fi was fine. such a nice vibe, we loved staying here. we had our 8 month old baby with us and it was great for him to play in the sand in the communal dining area, and the staff loved him too. free drinking water was appreciated as well. place was clean and towels provided too. air con worked well! would definitely recommend it. also get a discount at the arte sano vegan restaurant in town (which we didn’t realise but luckily the waitress recognised us!)

It is a nice and comfortable room, and the beach is just a few steps away. Excellent location and friendly staff. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning and hammocks by the pool during the day to relax :)

Gorgeous unique hotel. Lovely spacious room with big comfortable bed. Good AC, piping hot water 8’ the shower. Very close to the beach, like a 30 second walk. About 15/20 mins walk to town which didn’t bother us. Town was very busy at night so it suited us to be further away. The rooftop pool was fabulous, we were the only two people in the pool for sunset one night. That was special. Really enjoyed our stay here.

We had an exceptional stay at Casa Astral. This is like a little secret hotel with some amazing features. I don't think the photos do this place justice. The bunk double bed is excellent, the double beds are massive. The bathroom is finished nicely and is spacious. There were two balconies, both of which were fitted with nice furniture. The living room, dining room and kitchen space is excellent and makes this room great value for money. Victor in reception was super helpful and very communicative. He speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about places to eat/drink as well good excursions. We booked everything through the hotel and it was seamless. The rooftop pool is as good as it looks which exceptional sunset views and the bar is nice as well. The rooftop is very big and includes various seating areas and hammocks with both shade and non shade options. Finally, there is a WhatsApp feature where you can communicate with reception to order taxis or just anything you need. This is a very modern and easy way to work.

Also has sofas, hammocks and a bar. - Complimentary toast, tea and coffee in the mornings. - Rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully designed and decorated with lots of natural light. - Kitchen included a fridge, microwave, stove, blender, coffee machine (including coffee beans!), and a gallon of filtered water. - Bedroom with ensuite and hot shower. Separate bathroom also near living room. - 2 airconditioning units - TV in our room with Netflix - Daily cleaning - 2 large balconies with views of the beach. - 1 minute walk to the beach. - About 10-15 minute walk to the centre. We preferred this location as we were on our honeymoon and wanted privacy and to be away from the loud music and noise at night. - Corner stores and a few restaurants close by. - Great value for money!

The hotel is really comfortable and clean. Our room was perfectly prepared for our arrival. They even remembered to cool it down :) The stuff was amazing: every day ladies in the lobby greeted us with a smile and a little chat, so after couple of days we felt like home. Our room was being perfectly cleaned every day. The hotel has a nice pool on the roof, with hammocks and nice chairs. And the place is just 100 meters from the ocean, and in 2-3-minutes walking distance from a beach. We had a great staying!

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Casa Astral. Almost right next to the beach (less than 20 meters), also far enough outside of the main centre to be quiet at night, but close enough that you can walk in within 10/15 minutes. Also a good selection of bars and restaurants close by. The rooftop bar with infinity pool has possibly the best views on the whole island.

This property is beautiful, great location and has a wonderful property manager. We stayed here for a week and it made our trip what it was in Holbox. This place has a great location, just 10minutes walking from the central town which makes it easily accessible but away from the noise. The mornings here are lovely and so are the evenings as you don’t have to deal with any noise pollution. It is a 3 minute walk to the beach, and this part of the beach was our favorite in all of Holbox. The room is very clean, well equipped with everything you may need, beds are comfortable and AC works great. The best part of this property is the property manager, Cristina. She was so friendly and inviting, she helped us with everything we needed while we were there and was very quick to respond to anything we asked for. Her energy makes the hotel feel like a home away from home. This part of the island was my favorite, just off the central part to the East and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Holbox.

It was on the side of the Island towards Punta Mosquito, away from the noise and 1 block from the prettiest beach. (About a 10 to 15 minute walk to town.) At the bottom of the street you could rent beach loungers for 100 pesos per day. The property had that authentic jungly feel and the staff were terrific. They made us feel like family. Christine and her son Marco were so generous and genuinely nice people. We booked a kayak tour and Marco took care of that and had them pick us up from the property. They also arranged for our taxi back to the ferry. It had a pretty complete kitchen for cooking, although there were a few very inexpensive great and authentic places to eat just up the road, including a fruit and veggie market with great prices. We had no issues with electricity or water. We stayed in the Queen Suite for 7 days and it had the perfect feel and vibe for us!

The most beautiful apartment we stayed at during our trip to mexico. Of course it is not that cheap but its totally worth the money. From the rooftop you have a unique view of the island. You get to see amazing sunsets and sunrises and because of the height there are also less mosquitos and other insects. We also can't complain about a thing referring to the interior of the apartment Super comfortable and well equipped. The host (Christina) was super friendly and helpful: there was a problem with the water in our apartment but as soon as we mentioned that she immediately organized someone to fix it. She also helped us with organizing tours and gave us very good recommendations on which tour we should do. She even gave us super helpful for our further travel plans.

The kindness and friendliness of the property manager, owner and staff, was exceptional. This is one of the most important aspects of anywhere that I stay. I was immediately welcomed and looked after, including lots of messages prior to my arrival regarding transport so that my journey to the island and hotel was as smooth as possible, including help with arranging a shuttle, where to wait at the airport and help with details about the ferry etc. I am very grateful. The room itself was beautiful and the area was very quiet, so I always slept well. The fridge in the room is a little loud so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I hope I get the chance to go back to Holbox and to stay at Villa Los Mangles again :)
