Hotels with Swim-up Rooms in Honolulu

We recently stayed at HaleKulani on a friends and family rate as my husband is the Director of Recreation at the Four Seasons Wailea. Everything was perfect from checking in to checking out. This resort is centrally located and walking distance to almost everything we were greeted by a warm hospitality by Donna at the front desk who also checked us in she gave us a resort tour and even walked us directly to our room, which is beautiful! We had a view of the ocean and pool and even though we were located right over the pool, the room alone was very quiet. We did get to enjoy the pool every day while we were there as we brought our two boys we loved the pool and the access to the beach and the service at the pool was great a huge shout out to Kawela and Sam who showed genuine hospitality and greeted us with a smile. My only suggestion is the servers need to be more present and more attentive as I had noticed a couple who were primarily standing by the bar the whole entire time I did have to walk up and ask to order food and cocktails the only time that we did experience full service was from Kawela, who was extremely personable. Thank you to the General Manager and team for the thoughtful amenities for our special occasion as we were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. This trip was everything we could hope for and we owe it to all of you! You truly have top notch service!! We will definitely be back. Mahalo to you all!

This resort is a 5 star experience. It is not a "party" hotel but a sophisticated resort. We enjoyed their extensive breakfast buffet, their Sunday Brunch and fine dining at La Mer. Many families enjoyed the pool and every evening was different music at the pool area. The concierge team was exceptional in helping me research and book excursions, dinner reservations and setting up an itinerary. With a 6 hour time difference, they were prompt, gave helpful suggestions and took care of so many of the details. This is not a beach hotel, however, there is a beach area at a nearby park within walking distance. I loved the daily morning exercise classes they offered. The valet was prompt in bringing our car around and was so friendly. When we needed service in the room, help was sent immediately. We enjoyed spa services and relaxed in the outdoor lounge area. The service providers were knowledgeable and did a great job for both my husband and me. We drove around the area comparing hotels and didn't see any as beautiful as this. We ate at fine dining locations across the area. Several were at other hotels that were on the beach but shared the beach with other hotels so it was noisy and crowded. We didn't experience that at Halekulani's fine dining, La Mer. I would highly recommend this for couples or a girlfriend getaway.

This is best option on Waikiki for luxury travel! Tips; Go to Lewers Lounge for cocktails and jazz, order lunch at pool with their amazing Mai Tai, their is free morning coffee new Orchids, eat breakfast at Orchids oceanside, see Hawaiian entertainment under tree at pool bar, get water and treat at the gym, walk the entire property, get breakfast at bakery across the street, get turndown yet get a gift each night, go to ABC across the road for drink provisions and make cocktails in your room just call for ice, 2 blocks from ocean is high end shopping, hotel provides touches throughout your stay. Ocean views and diamond head view rooms outstanding!

This is hands down the nicest hotel in Waikiki/Honolulu - others simply do not compare for the luxury experience. The size of even the smallest rooms is ample, with a luxury bathroom and super comfortable beds, sitting area, and balcony. The drinks at the pool bar and the breakfasts and views, as well as the public spaces, and the beautiful pool itself, are all unbeatable. This is a great place to escape screaming children and crowds and have a civilized, elegant Hawaiian vacation without traveling to an outer island.

Very clean and staff were friendly. We stayed in the Ocean View King room - loved the spacious balcony and view. Housekeeping always left our room spotless, restaurant staff were attentive and accommodating, food was delicious, pool staff were always helpful, pool was nice and clean, the hotel is very well maintained, and finally, when i had a minor issue, the manager that I spoke with (I forgot her name) provided exceptional customer service.

The hotel does not mention that the pool gets limited sun due to the parking garage and the hotel on each side of it. So there is a certain time of day the pool is sunny, and it is not heated. So do not book property for the pool.

We are Marriott loyalists and have stayed in a few places in Waikiki but the Laylow has a lot of great things and in a great spot. It’s a little further from the beach but still an easy walk, even with kids and all the gear. The Hideout is one of the on site restaurants and has great drinks and foods that you can eat there or have served in the pool area. They serve complimentary Hawaiian ice and mocktails at the pool throughout the day. The onsite coffee bar opens at 6 and has great coffee from drip to all the flavours and foams you want. A 3 story Super Target is just around the corner to get everything you need. Great Udon just across the street.

Loved the pool and restaurant/ Bar on pool level!

The hotel is nicely positioned in Waikiki. We could walk to the beach in about 5 minutes and to about any restaurant in no more than 10. The staff was immensely helpful and friendly throughout. We had a handicapped accessible room (which we didn’t request or require). It was a bit more spacious, but the shower water bled into the floor if the bathroom. Engineering couldn’t fix it. Just inconvenient. The on-site restaurant was nice, although they could refresh the cushion covers. Food was good, Mai Tais need to be fresher :). Our bed was rather firm, but I liked it. My wife much less so. Pool area is very nice. The pool is swim able but shallow and the water was a good temperature. Overall we had a very nice stay and enjoyed ourselves at the Laylow.

The vibes were top tier at The Laylow. Everyone that I encountered was amazing, helpful, kind and genuinely caring. I really enjoyed the daily activities in the lobby & at the pool. The front desk staff was always helpful & pleasant. Last but certainly not least the bartenders, baristas and performers at The Hideout gave me so many wonderful options for dining & entertainment, I didn’t need to go anywhere else unless I really wanted to. I loved being able to walk to so many options so quickly. The International Market Place is literally next door. The Waikiki Market (higher end grocery store) is only a few block away, and their food options convenience were perfect for grabbing water, drinks, salads, wide variety of poke and so many other options of local fruits, snacks, etc. I was able to book all of the excursion/tourist activities I wanted to try right in the lobby with the Blue Hawaiian vendor that was there daily. I did surfing lessons (twice), a dolphin swim, & luau. All the activities offered shuttle pick-up from a near by hotel, so there was only a 5-10 walk for each session. Each tour/ activity provided safe/ clear transportation and wonderful, knowledge filled experiences. This was my first trip to the Hawaiian islands, and I didn’t want to leave so much so that I cried when I checked out on my last day. The front desk staff was so kind and loving while I got myself together, including the GM who introduced himself. I can’t wait to go back.

Great location. Walkable to beach and tons of shops and restaurants. This is an older hotel. While there have been some upgrades, the 'bones' are still dated. Doors and doorframes in rooms are layered with coats of paint reminiscent of a a rental property that gets a standard coat of paint after each new renter. However service is great. Main property areas are clean and staff is attentative from the front desk to the pool deck and beyond. Poolside area is perfect for spending day or relaxing after a day of being out. Wish the pool would be slightly more family friendly (no pool toys or such allowed) and open later but understand that would be distraction for people eating in the poolside restaurant.

Everything about the hotel is great, very central to everything, clean and beautiful pool area. Plenty of towels for stay to go to beach and pool. Lovely atmosphere of an evening listening to music on the pool deck and very helpful reception.

Location and the staff at bar and pool area were the best customer service. Wished there was a jacuzzi tho, and seating in deep area of pool so could relax in pool cause too many kids on shallow side but still deep for little ones.

The room caught the morning sunrise and we were also able to see the Ocean to the West. The pool was great and the pool attendants were a wealth of knowledge for finding great places to eat at, in the area. Waikiki beach was across the street, this place was like being there, but for a short walk, saved tons of money/points. Had a young family vibe, which we enjoyed, even as seniors. Once a week, local art was displayed for sale on the property. We walked or used the city buses everywhere, this is our second time NOT renting a car as we had done on previous visits.

We loved the location, the staff, the Splash Bar, the Hawaiian guys that sang and the lady that danced. Our servers at the bar and the pool they were all wonderful, shout out to Vanessa! The ABC stores had everything we needed. Great location to the beach in the mornings and then we came back and enjoyed the pool area in the afternoon. It was my friends 40th birthday celebration trip, and she can't wait to go back. Thank you SPK for making our stay so great!

We had a fantastic stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower. Staying for five nights, we were thrilled to be upgraded to a Beachfront View. The view was incredible! The layout of the 2-bedroom unit was great, offering privacy and quiet for the bedrooms, a large deck for soaking in the atmosphere and relaxing on, a big couch, a dining area and a full kitchen - with complimentary drinks. The check-in process was easy, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Literally nothing was a problem. The unit was clean and housekeeping serviced our room each day, leaving it beautifully clean too. Beach towels were provided for each time you visited the beach or pool (simply by asking the front desk), and we were given a complimentary beach bag, towel refreshers and sunblock at check-in too. There was some renovation on the pool level going on while we were there, but that looked to be nearly finished and will be a fab area once done. The pool wasn't heated, but with it being 29 degrees each day, that wasn't a problem. The pool area and outdoor bbq space was nice and not crazy busy. It was the best way to end our trip, and we'll absolutely stay here next time.

Aston Waikiki Beach Tower has an amazing location, just steps from the beach and restaurants. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for a vacation. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with a nice view. The hotel offers great value, and cleanliness was excellent throughout. Even near busy streets, the noise level was low. The service was friendly and helpful, and amenities like the pool, gym, and parking made the stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Brilliant location. 27th floor had uninterrupted, 200 degree views of Waikiki Beach, right up to Diamond Head. Colours in the water, watching surfers, beachgoers, and sunsets were all mesmerising. Bedrooms faced the mountains and were spectacular at night. Great facilities, apartment had everything we needed. BBQ by the pool deck, great fitness centre, staff all wonderful. Would definitely stay again. It was hard to leave

Excellent location and beautiful spacious property. It was a plus to have washer/ dryer as I did laundry every day. Breathtaking view of the ocean from the living room and balcony. 4th floor had good size workout facilities and pool/ jaccuzzi. Friendly staff and very accommodating. True Aloha spirit the minute you check in to this property. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Ocean View, 2 bedroom Suite, Pool & Hot Tub, Japanese Toilets!, Vallet Service, and Freshening Towels at check-in. The complimentary Sunscreen bag, water bottles, and some juice in the fridge.

Halepuna is a very pretty property in a good location across the street from the ocean and beach and near the Royal Hawaiian Center and Beachwalk just down and around the corner. The beach is very, very small and accessed via a long narrow alleyway between the Halekulani and Sheraton Waikiki. Room was clean, neat, and very comfortable. Staff were courteous and professional. The internet service is poor and very slow. Several times very small children(toddlers even) took over the hot tub on the pool deck. Children and toddlers do NOT belong in the hot tub. There is a large pool for them to play in. Unable to use the pool umbrellas because of windy conditions on the pool deck, although hardly any wind at all. Either allow use of the umbrellas or remove them and add more lounge chairs. A little noisy on balcony from service vehicles on street below.

Lovely room with ample space. The pool area is also nice but can have limited seating during busy times. Great temperature pool and spa, with poolside drinks available to order.

Loved our stay at the Halepuna Waikiki. Tucked behind the Halekulani, the hotel is beautiful, quiet and very centrally located. The staff took great care of us and were friendly and professional. There is a great little beach nearby (walk through the Outrigger Reef Hotel) where you can rent chairs and umbrellas and pop into The Monkey Pod Restaurant for a Mai Tai and lunch. We had dinner at the Halekulani - "House without a Key" and listened to live music which was lovely. The Halepuna has a pool on the 8th floor which is nice but on windy days does not allow for umbrellas. One amenity that would have made our experience better would have been to also have access to the Halekulani Hotel pool / beach.

Thank you for preparing a wonderful room this time. The corner room with a view of the pool had an amazing view. I have stayed at various hotels in Waikiki, but I feel that Halepuna Waikiki is the best. The comfortable bed, the television equipped with various apps,washlet toilet, the large bathtub, cleanliness, the pool, the jacuzzi, the yoga space... everything is excellent. But I was just disappointed that the washlet toilet in the first-floor restroom was broken, and when I informed a black-haired Asian woman at the front desk who was not wearing glasses, She frowned with a wrinkle on her forehead. I am considering staying again. Thank you.

The location was amazing, literally a 2 min walk to Waikiki Beach. The rooms were spacious, light, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The added bonuses including water bottles and jandals, wine and ice-cream happy hour were lovely. The swimming pool and spa pool with bar facilities were awesome. All staff from the front desk to room attendants were friendly and professional. We appreciated that daughter's room was next door to ours as we had requested. We hired a rental car for 3 days and the parking was easily sorted with the hotel. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We loved this hotel . It’s so well situated and has so much charm and history . Our room had a lovely balcony and view , but was a bit shabby - needs updating . But it was comfortable and we slept well . You have to get up early to snag a chaise lounge and umbrella at $70 a day on the beach - but at least they have them available! Most hotels in Waikiki don’t . The pool is tiny - not even worth a mention, but you can use the larger one at the adjoining Sheraton- though not the infinity pool which is why this is a 4 star rather than 5 - really would have liked to use that pool . But it’s still overall an enchanting experience- and we can’t wait to go back . I’ll take history, authenticity and charm over the newer sterile properties anytime - the pink palace still shines !

The royal Hawaiian is beautiful. It's the 2nd oldest hotel and have a luxurious and classy feel, but when we visited the Moana Surfrider I liked it more. It has a lively vibe and facilities seem better. The pool is bigger than the Royal which has a very tiny pool. But the advantage is that you can use the Sheraton's 2 big pools instead. Big shout out for the staff though. They are very courteous and friendly and accommodated our request for early check out without a fee.

Staff was so friendly - every single person we encountered. The breakfast was out of this world delicious - between my whole family we tried them all at least once. The pool is a bit small and in the shade, but we all loved the fact that the Mai Tai Bar was separated from the pool area. The views from the porches were amazing and we all thought the more private location of this resort was exceptional. I will highly recommend the Royal Hawaiian to anyone I know who is planning a visit. Located in the heart of the social scene, convenient to all the shopping you could dream of, and the parking was convenient and easily accessible for self-parking. We didn't feel a need to valet at all. We loved the coffee shop. We loved the gardens. We loved the decor. We loved our accessible shower in one of our rooms since we had a need for a roll-in shower. We loved the decor throughout the property. And the interior garden was beautiful. Royal Hawaiian beats any of the other hotels available hands down. And we stopped in quite a few for cocktails. We chose this over another nearby "related" property and we are so glad we did. I couldn't love this place more!!!

This is our second stay here at my favourite hotel in the world. We stayed in the Mailani Tower last year which had magnificent ocean views but chose a garden view room in the historic wing this time and are currently still here and have a fabulous very large corner room on the 6th floor with even a partial ocean view! Huge room, light and bright and spotlessly clean. Love the Mai Tai bar especially their White Wash Mai Tai. Pool fabulous and always got sunloungers but you do need to get to the pool early. Had a beach umbrella set on day one as check-in is 3.00pm so had it all day. Was worth it! Definitely rebooking for next year. This is my happy place! Mahalo

Read the reviews prior to our visit. I was a little concerned about the upkeep of the property, but was pleasantly surprised at how clean and well maintained it was. Our room looked like something out of the past. High ceilings and comfortable beds. Bathroom was a little tight, but manageable. Closet was huge. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Since I have a Marriott Bonvoy number and they had availability, we were able to check in early. We found the other staff very nice also. Pool was small, but who comes to Hawaii to sit by a pool. Beach was crowded so we would leave during the day to see other parts of the island. Overall, five stars from us! Mahalo!

The hotel had everything you were looking for. Happy Hour was great. Breakfast was busy but the hotel was full and that is a good thing. Rooms were great. Kaiana and Cindy upon check in went above and beyond to help us get acquainted with the property and how things work. Only recommendation I would have is that Pool hours last until 10PM. The gentleman tending for the pool would not always allow the kids to be to playful. Felt like the fun police was around :) Also the bar at the pool closes really early. If the hotel is packed and busy why not stay open and continue to make money? Other then that - we had a WONDERFUL stay. Thank you Hilton! Job well done.

I want to give a big thank you to Oho, the pool manager. From the moment I arrived, he made sure everything was running smoothly and that guests felt comfortable and welcome. He’s professional, friendly, and always attentive—whether it’s keeping the pool area clean, answering questions, or making sure safety comes first. You can really tell he cares about his job and the people here. Oho’s positive attitude and excellent management make the whole experience so much better. Truly one of the best pool managers I’ve met!

Location was excellent. Many dining options within 5 min walking distance. High end shopping on the corner of Lewers, beach access at the other end of Lewers. Breakfast was great, esp the made to order omelettes. Eric the pool guy was very accommodating with cabana hire and day beds. The "happy hour" from 5:30-7:30 was better than expected and the ambiance around the pool at this time along with the live music was a nice touch after a long day at the beach/pool.

Another great time! Great location - close to shops, restaurants, and the beach! Really enjoy the evening reception. Kaola and Maile are an awesome team! They are always very welcoming and friendly to us! We really appreciate them! We also always like to visit with Dennis and Louis at the Pakini Bar. Always friendly and welcoming! Otto at the pool deck does an awesome job! He is always ensuring the pool area is clean and is also very friendly and welcoming to us! Breakfast is great with made to order omelette and many other items. Great to be able to see the Friday night fireworks from the pool deck. The only downside for this trip was housekeeping. Smudges on the sliding glass doors and tabletops and counters not cleaned up. The once ashtrays that are now converted to trash cans on each floor and a bit rediculous. They are super small and always overflowing.

Awesome location very easy to travel from Hotel to malls and shopping etc. Our room was a premium corner I think, this was perfect for us as we are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids under 11. Plenty of room for everyone to relax and wind down after our daily outings. Kids loved the pool, breakfast was awesome and made the mornings easier. Happy hour by the pool was amazing kids would swim while mum and dad had a cocktail. We also rented a car for a few days so having the valet was awesome as well. Drive right into the lobby and head straight up to the room while someone parked the car for us. Overall best place to stay for families. 10/10

Check in was smooth, simple, and thorough. Cory was very welcoming and had great customer service just like the rest of staff. Breakfast spread was really good!! I love that there’s a refreshment area available most of the day!! Lovely surprise. The beach equipment room was also WONDERFUL. Views from our room were amazing and literally just a 5 minute casual walk to the beach with lots of food and convienence stores within 1-2 blocks. We took the bus to get around for a day before we got our rental car and it was conveniently located near the hotel. Just paid $9 for a day pass and it’s only 8 minutes ride from Leonard’s bakery and 8 minutes from the Hilton lagoon pool! The room was small but quaint and enough for what we needed. Not sure about the irons ( we didn’t ask) so we just wore clothes that didn’t need to be ironed :)They likely have an iron available if you request it!!! Would definitely stay again!!! Also great spot for surfers. Super cool to see soooo many surfers out there, and there’s surf lessons on the beach as well.

We have stayed at the Vive on 4 or 5 occasions. This time we had a relative with us so we used their "family" room. It's adjoining rooms with 2 separate bathrooms. Worked perfectly. What sets this property apart from others is the staff. They are so accommodating and friendly. You are treated with a very personal experience unlike a larger property. The valets Arnel and Richard so helpful and hardworking. The inside staff Angie and crew are also friendly and hardworking. There isn't a pool on the property but they provide everything you need and the beach is 2 blocks away. It's centrally located in Waikiki and the hotel offers complimentary breakfast every morning with assorted fresh fruit, eggs, oatmeal, muffins and toast. I would highly recommend staying here.

I loved this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great, along with free coffee all day. It is close to the beach and has a whole room of beach equipment to borrow for free. I stayed twice, once before my cruise and once after. I stayed in a junior suite and a regular room. Neither room was bad. The regular room was small but served the purpose. The junior suite was spacious and had a great view of the ocean. The second time I stayed, I received a welcome back card and a bag of local snacks. There isn’t a pool, but with the beach nearby, I didn’t miss it.

Loved our stay here in Vive. Breakfast- bread, oatmeal, eggs, muffins, alternating sausage/bacon/longanisa, coffee, hot and cold tea is a great plus as well as the complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrella and beach mats. Use of hotel resort fees that’s actually beneficial to guests. Short 3-5 minute walk to the beach, food trucks, and abc stores. Helpful and courteous staff. No swimming pool, hot tubs or gym. A short 5 minute walk to trolley stops. Will definitely come back to stay here again.

It was nice and quaint. The rokms were smaller than expected and the hoyel itself lacked some amenities (e.g. pool, outdoor space). Ither than that it was really nice

Ritz is an exceptional hotel but that is expected of course. Everyone there goes out of their way to make your stay the best possible. *The suite was very comfortable. * Pools were nice however the pool choice of food was very poor. * If you are with kids, you can't use the Jacuzzi. * Restaurants do not have too many choices at least in my opinion. * There is a lack of music in this hotel compared to others that we stayed at in Honolulu. Therefore the entertainment is very poor. For example, live music by the pool at the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort was unbeatable as well as the suite lounge with free breakfast, drinks and dinner snacks. You would think that paying over $1000 per day would get you something exceptional but in my opinion it did not. Sure, the service is unbeatable however to enjoy a vacation takes more then service. Pool is on the 6th floor so it has a view but that also comes with a lot of wind which makes it cold. This is NOT on the beach so you have to walk a few blocks, therefore they should make it up in a different way which they did not. Anyway, Nice hotel, great service but will not stay there again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach. While the property is not directly on the beach, it's just a short and easy walk—about two traffic lights away—to reach the sands of Waikiki. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and having a full kitchen, washer, and dryer made our stay especially convenient. We loved relaxing on our lanai and taking in the beautiful ocean view. On some mornings, I joined the line at a nearby famous coffee shop, but on others, the in-room coffee machine and pods were a welcome treat. The staff were exceptionally kind and considerate throughout our stay. I was particularly touched by the housekeeping team’s attention to detail—they even helped move our laundry from the washer to the dryer based on a note I left. Each day, after our adventures around the island, we felt so happy and relaxed returning to what truly felt like our home away from home. The resort pools were perfect for our family, and the adult pool had a nice length for swimming. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities offered poolside—Coola sunscreen, refreshing drinks, and delicious lychee sorbet in the afternoons. One of the most memorable moments was the sweet surprise arranged by the staff to celebrate our son’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. This was a memorable stay for our whole family, and we look forward to returning again!

THE RITZ CARLTON RESIDENCE WAIKIKI BEACH, are definitely the best hotel with everything, they exceed our expectations my little family and I, Welcome gifts for my daughter 10th Birthday, every day one gift until we go. We stay for 7 night. Room clean every day, change everything for toilets, me daughter receive a gift from front desk, from pools team, and from restaurants team for our Birthdays dinner. Aw just exceptional, chocolate for my kids in the room every day, check after me and my family if everything is good, from 2pm to 2:30pm free fresh ice cream at the pools for kids and adults. Pool are 2 different, for adults and kids, service exceptional. Dinner and Breakfast at Restaurant ( LA VIE ) fresh and good quality of ingredients, very very perfect. We will definitely go back At THE RITZ CARLTON RESIDENCE WAIKIKI BEACH. Thank you for all your king attention to me and my family. Love you all.

This is a beautiful property on its own, but the staff at the Ritz Carlton in Waikiki really make it shine. From the moment Sakura greeted us at the reception we knew this would be a wonderful stay. Every member of the RC team was so pleasant and really went above and beyond (Thanks again to Sakura and Mao especially) to make our stay amazing!!The ocean view from our balcony was incredible. It was so nice to have a kitchen and laundry in the room as well. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. The two infinity pools are great. The adult pool was fairly busy, but it was actually pretty quiet at the family pool at this time of year. We would highly recommend considering this hotel for your next trip to Oahu!!

The attentive staff, warm pools and spas, suite amenities, decor, ocean view, etc. were all spectacular! Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by a host who introduced us to the property and guided us through the check-in process while providing fancy cocktails. The staff sets up towels on the pool chairs, hands out ice cream and treats at the pool, and presents a farewell gift at check-out. This location is great for walking, and the convenience store next door has a nice selection of wine, food, and gifts.

I can't think of any part of our stay with you that was less than ideal. We appreciated birthday cookies, a tote bag (so helpful), the towel system, the room, evening music, the pool vibe, Monkeypod Kitchen breakfast (oceanside), the in hotel shopping, central location in Waikiki, and in general found everything about our stay completely enjoyable. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room on the "veranda" level was also very fun. We enjoyed the beach, pool, access to good food, and a comfortable night's sleep. This hotel is on a sliver of beach, with broader public beach adjacent. Be aware there is live music nightly until 9 pm (it was great, but if not your thing, you'll hear it anyway). The pool area is right next to a casual grill for snacks, drinks or lunch, and there's a water bottle station poolside (free). We were able to snag a shady chair in the late morning. We saw A'uana (Cirque show) at the sister property - this one is much nicer. The show was also very good.

My family and I stayed 5 nights (wife, boys 13&11) and had a lovely experience staying at this resort, we'd happily return in future. The staff are very helpful, friendly and great to deal with. Check in was a breeze, our room had a terrific partial ocean view which overlooked the pool area. The room was bigger than we were expecting, it was clean and reasonably new. The pool is fantastic, there are plenty of loungers available and towels supplied by the resort. There are also three hot spas adjacent to the pool. My boys loved the pool, it has a very deep end and a young child friendly area. We dined at Kani Ka Pila Grille one night and had a very tasty meal, great service and well priced. The beach access is great, though we couldn't find a shortcut directly to Waikiki Beach so there is a short walk of a few blocks required, however Ford DeRussy Beach is easily accessed from the resort. Can recommend snorkeling on the Holokai Catamaran (book via the resort), a great experience for the kids and adults. We had our room cleaned to a high standard three times by Sharon who was amazing. Finally we didn't purchase the additional Voyager 47 Club Lounge access when booking but were offered one evenings complimentary access - amazing view and a great selection of food and drinks, more than enough food available for a dinner meal. I would highly recommend this resort, it's great value and the service was exceptional.

Bonie and Mary were the housekeeps during our trip and they were awesome. Everytime we saw them they greeted us and even with us having the do not disturb sign up when they saw us in the hallway they would make sure we were set for the day with towels or anything else we might need. Never had such awesome housekeepers during a stay at a hotel. The guys working the bar down by the pool were also awesome attentive and friendly. We also enjoyed taking advantage of the activities provided by the hotel the two people we met running the activities were so friendly and very informative it was awesome to learn so much about the hawaiian culture. The pool area was nice and well kept could get crowded at times but wasn't bad, they had pool floats available to use which came in super handy the pool was really deep but was fun. The beach right out the hotel was pretty but small but if you just walked down a bit from the hotel there was plenty of beach. We would definitely stay here again!

At the start I was disappointed in my hotel choice but as we stayed here the staff, amenities and service won me over. It’s the little details that I’m impressed with. Such as the housekeeper greeting me and surprising me by knowing my name. The pool staff being so positive, light hearted and sharing that sun screen is provided-that was amazing. In addition, the hotel provides filtered water stations and a water bottle to use. The bathroom at the pool was so clean. Then the staff attending everyone at the pool with a positive attitude and remembering me from the day before. Finally, the front desk being so receptive when I asked for a later checkout. Would I stay here again- yes.

Big and busy hotel with a small pool and small beach area. The staff are very friendly and food at both main restaurants is delicious. The rooms are big and clean, showers good. Hotel is on a very busy street very crowded with tourists and quite noisy at night. The pool lounge chairs are free, if you can find one in the small pool area. Beach chairs and umbrellas are $50-100 for 3-8 hours. Beach chairs are not run by hotel it seems. No food service on the beach. That said, it is nice to be on the beach side and not have to walk across busy streets with our beach towels.

We loved staying at Hyatt Centric in Oahu, it was central to so many of the main tourist spots and we didn't have to go far to find food, shops and the beach. The atmosphere was clean, exciting and very welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept, the only thing I'd suggest is the lights were a bit dim in the rooms. Overall you get a very good value staying at this property, the valet was awesome, the front desk staff was so nice and the overall staff would always acknowledge you in the hallways or in the elevators. Downsides are the pool is quite small and not really a pool but we barely spent time at the pool so it didn't really matter. What really stood out about this property was being able to rent out, umbrellas, beach towels, free sunscreen, good coffee pods in the rooms, comforting lobby, good in room toiletries and the staff was really a nice highlight. 10/10 would return if looking to say in Waikiki Beach.

The hotel is pretty large, a lot of wasted space in the lobby area imo. The pool is not a pool but more for kids and just sitting in a lounge chair in the water, would be nice if there were fire pits to sit around at night. One of my biggest qualms is there are not enough hooks for towels or wet suits. If your at a hotel near beach/pool, have a place for guests to hang wet suits ect... and the one large mirror in the room doesn't have a power outlet near it, so another mirror in the room would be helpful. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Super friendly staff. The pool is not a regular pool so if you’re looking for a great pool experience the water is less than 2 ft deep. However the hot tub is nice.

Fantastic location, literally minutes walking distance to coffee,food,shopping. I have to say the staff was incredibly accommodating. Enteprise car rental 2 minutes walk shares the same parking garage as the hotel,I would recommend renting daily as this would help you avoid parking fees. The hotel sits between the main streets that run thru waikiki.Pool is on the same floor as the lobby, 8th floor,fwi ,its a splash pool but you do have the beach a short walk away. The hotel does give free daily beach chairs. I enjoyed my stay here.

The room was well kept, clean, and spacious. Bathroom was equipped with a bidet and heated seats. More than enough outlets for your electronics. Only thing was the “pool” was not really a pool, but you’re in Hawaii go to the beach! Overall a great stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the Outrigger Beach Resort! Our room was spacious with a large sink area and closet space. Comfortable beds and pillows; towels were nice and thick. Our lanai overlooked the ocean and pool area. The views were beautiful! The staff was amazing!! Everyone was so accommodating and kind. Holly served the pool area and kept us full and content. Our housekeeper, Wendy, knew all our names by our second day there and treated us like we were guests in her home. Future stays for our family will only be at the Outrigger Beach Resort in Waikiki!

The hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We also had the club Voyager 47 which gave us access to a special lounge for breakfast and afternoon snacks and drinks. The pool staff were friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is in the heart of Waikīkī. This is the fourth time we stayed at this hotel and love the fact it’s right on the beach with pool and beach access from the hotel. Having Dukes and Hula Grill with live music daily puts the icing on the cake.

All the good things. It is next to the beach. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It was one of the best vacations. The hotel is clean, not noisy. The restaurants are amazing. The pool is nice. Pool towels are great. But the people… everyone from reception to housekeeping, from waiters and waitresses… everyone so friendly and extra nice. They let us stay in the room for a couple of more hours for a fee whichever helped a lot! I will Definitely come back…

This is a more detailed review after having spent a night at this hotel. On the plus side, the room was clean, and it did have a view of the ocean from the small balcony. The staff was friendly. The Hula Grill was great for dinner. The pool area is nice with about as many seats as can fit around it. The view from the pool to the ocean is excellent, and the beach is very close. For nearly $500 per night, plus a $50 resort fee, neighborhood also expect chairs on the beach. There are chairs and loungers available, but they must be rented from a third party and cost $18 per hour, or $100 per day! That is inexcusable. Your $500 does give you beach towels, though. If you're going to be at this resort for a few days, walk across the street from the hotel to the Target or some other store and buy yourself a chair. Heck, you might be able to sell it to someone who happens to be checking in when you are checking out.

Am so impressed by this truly a chilled vibes club with swimming pool and it caters people of all ages. Staff are so friendly, often greet you as you go out and come back. Every evening there is live music you can sit and relax by the pool or in your balcony! Again that very special and relaxed swimming pool can be used throughout the day and night. I grow to love this place. I will not change to any other big hotels even for the same price. Thanks to Surf Jack Hotel Swim Club and staff !

Clean, comfortable, nice pool, friendly staff. Worth the $$$. My first time back to Oahu in about 15 years. Morning coffee by the pool while I catch up on news was quiet, and the in-house coffee shop was really convenient. A sunscreen dispenser near the pool was a nice extra touch.

Staff was SO friendly and helpful, and our room was cute and comfortable -- we were in a 1 BR suite and it was really great to have the extra space. We were up on the 9th floor facing away from the pool, so it was very quiet (a high priority for us!) and we had a nice view out to the mountainside. The location is great, easily walkable to lots of restaurants, shops, and the beach. Parking is just a couple blocks away and SO cheap (just make sure to move your car every 24 hours -- but if you're not doing that, do you really need a car?) Free coffee and tea downstairs in the mornings. Lots of cute and very well-behaved doggos around to pet :) The humans staying here were nice too -- a mix of young people, families, couples, older folks, wedding groups, etc. A few things to note: The pool is super nice and popular in the mornings and afternoons, but it's not really usable in the evenings unless you want to swim in front of a bunch of people eating a nice dinner (which seemed weird for all involved parties). Relatedly, the "no outside food/drink in the lobby" policy is kind of weird, especially when you're waiting for your room to be ready and just need a place to hang out. It definitely made the lobby feel more dedicated to the restaurant than the hotel, which is fine, just not what I'm used to. The wifi seemed fine in most of the hotel, but it was basically unusable in our room. The TV doesn't have streaming services; that would be a nice update at some point.

Would absolutely recommend the Surfjack and would absolutely go back. Stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids. Great location, beach close, one block to all the action on the main strip of Waikiki, best value two bedroom apartment that we could find - very spacious room and really lovely decor, great pool - deep and just the right temperature, awesome vibe around the pool with great music from 6 - 9 - delicious food - we ate dinner there every night - venturing out and then returning two nights - it’s like the best kept secret in Waikiki! We had an unfortunate incident with some unruly guests and the staff were absolutely awesome got straight onto it (removed them from the hotel) and gave us a complimentary night - well above and beyond what we expected and awesome customer service. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

I had the one-bedroom room with a swimming pool view, and it was absolutely worth it! The room was neat, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a retro-chic vibe. The staff, especially the wonderful Hawaiian girls at reception, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to meet all my needs. From check-in to check-out, the service was truly impeccable. The parking was also very attractive—both in terms of convenience and price, which is rare for Waikiki! It was such a relief not to worry about parking in such a busy area. The overall vibe of the hotel is laid-back yet stylish, and the pool area was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for an amazing stay in Waikiki. I’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. I stayed in a female dorm. The location is perfect, it's in the Waikiki neighborhood, it means there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, there are lots of bus stops near. All the employees are very polite, positive and provide useful local advice about Oahu and the best places to visit. I can say that everything is very well organized. There is free coffee in the mornings and the option to rent equipment. I can say that everything is made to make sure travelers are comfortable and enjoy their time in Hawaii ! I met lots of interesting travelers. This hostel is a great place for those travelling individually and those who are looking to meet and chat with other travellers. I have enjoyed every second of my stay at this beautiful hostel, I've visted lots of great places in Oahu by taking a public bus that stops near the hostel and I highly recommend this place ! 10 out 10 !!! Awesome place to stay !

the hostel is right in Waikiki, close to all the attractions and 20min walk to the good restaurants or 2min to the beach. free wifi, kitchen usage, free rent of snorkeling gear, camping seats umbrellas and more they offer day tours around the island for 30$ which is a great price! tours are fun and cover great sightseeing spots (I did the chinaman hat and north shore - highly recommend both) the atmosphere is great and positive. the staff is amazing - special thanks for Mariana, who made my stay even better. you’re such an inspiring woman and so positive and kind! thanks for everything there is a rooftop with a kitchen and a second building as well. all very secure free fridge to use as well if you’re looking for a place on Oahu - stay here beds are comfy as well hehe and thanks for the chocolate while checking in and for the goodbye!

The location was more than close to the beach and to a lot of spots where you could have fun or grab something to drink or eat! The staff, muah! Very friendly and helpful! The place itself, i loved it. We stayed in a small room, but there's more rooms to choose from, the apartments were clean and nice looking, and the rooftop was a joy, too bad we didn't get to spend more time there... They had a laundry room which was extremely appreciated, and used :))) The list of tours they provided was quite impressing and at a very good price per trip, next time i'm going i'll deffinitely go on some as this time my trip was short. The rest of the guests were great too, everybody ready to make friends and have a good time! Loved it!

Very Aloha spot! It’s more of an apartment setting, we had a three bedroom spot but our own room, our own key to that room which was nice. Simple layout, refrigerator and dinning table. Across the street is the main check in area with all the fun activities, so you get more peaceful setting when you want to rest. Easy check in! We checked out at 5am and it was smooth and someone always in the from to help, towels were $2 so you can save room in your suitcase. Great area, the beach is about 5 minutes walking. Coffee,food, and convenient stores are all walking distance too. We didn’t get a car but we did notice parking was pretty bad so wouldn’t recommend. We did however get an all day bus pass for $7, highly recommended.

This hostel is amazing! The 1st hostel I've stayed in, and I didn't even miss staying in a hotel. I would stay here again just for the environment. The staff is amazing, all of my roommates were super nice. The roof of the hostel is super nice to hang out at. There are lockers in the room. The staff is super accommodating and clearly love what they do. They let you borrow certain beach items for free! There's a refrigerator in every suite and a kitchen in each building. There are washers and dryers you can use for a fee. It's an amazing place for a short or long stay and I cannot wait to go back.

We just returned from our first visit to magical Hawaii. We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel which was right in the middle of all the action in Waikiki. Everything was walkable from the hotel. We were on the 24th floor with an oceanview. There was construction going on right beside us, but the noise was not a bother. When you close the patio door, the room was nice and quiet. The hotel itself had wonderful staff. Xhi Yi was the housekeeper on our floor, and she was so friendly and kind. The folks at the front desk were very helpful. The rooms were decorated nicely, were very comfortable, and had all the amenities one might need. We enjoyed the coffee shop on site each morning. The pool had plenty of towels and sunscreen available at all time, however, I was disappointed in how small it was. It only took four or five kids, and it was full. The pictures online make the pool appear larger than it really is.For someone who is not an ocean swimmer, having a pool in the heat is really an important part of a vacation and this pool did not measure up. That would be my only complaint.

The rooms are starting to see its age, especially the carpet but overall comfortable nonetheless. The price of parking is steep so if you don’t need a car, I’d say skip it. Although I do want to note the valet staff were very friendly and efficient. We needed a car since we have young kids that need car seats but otherwise this location can’t be beat if you’re sticking around Waikiki. Another downside is the location of the elevator street exit - you have to pass by the alley and it stinks. This can be avoided taking the elevator to the lobby then the escalator down to the front but unfortunately for us we had a stroller/wagon with us everyday so that was not an option. Our favorite part was the pool area. Although small we didn’t have any problem finding a space and the pool itself never felt too crowded. I appreciated that the pool was adjacent to the hotel cafe so we could order food and drinks while lounging around. The cafe is also very reasonably priced at least for Waikiki and the food/drinks (we got pizza, croissant sandwich, pina colada and iced coffee) were better than I expected to find within a hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would likely return here.

More seating options near the pool, or limiting people’s time in the chairs. People take the chairs early morning and stay on the ALL day, so we never got to use the pool

Room was serviced daily, The pool always had a good supply of beach towels and chairs were usually available. A great cafe right next to the pool.

Location was amazing, lobby amazing, pool was outstanding and the room was fantastic! Views of the strip and pool. Everything rocked!
