Very close to railway station on the legendary Douro line - the river is reached in just 10 mins. This means are car not necessary (though warning nearest supermarket is an uphill trek!) The house is in a beautiful setting with the pool being the centrepiece. Appreciated the heating on the cold autumn evenings.
Just the noisy extractor fan from the nearby restaurant can be annoying when you are in the garden.
