9.7The staff were delgihtfyl—friendly, helpful, and so generous. The hotel is simply amazing and in a great location in Sassi Caveoso, right on the main street. The room was incredible. Super comfortable bed and pillows, and we had our own private spa with the sauna and jacuzzi. The breakfast each morning was hot and delicious, with fresh fruits and juice. The rooftop had a fantastic view of the city. L'Artiere definitely exceed my expectations.
The room, because it is in a cave, was a bit humid and the humidifiers needed dumping frequently.

L'Artiere Dimore nei Sassi is a great spot to visit the beautiful Matera. Perfectly located in the historical city center, sill very well isolated. The room is a perfect mix of design and tradition. We have been spoiled by the owners who prepare delicious breakfast!
