9.0We booked day-of after a change in plans and were just looking for a cheap and decent place to stay overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is adorable. No frills, but the room and premises were clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. They served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast. No A/C wasn't a problem as the temperature dropped at night. Walkable to town for dinner and drinks. Check in and check out were easy.

Our stay at Mountain Faro was made excellent by our host! She took excellent care of us, going out of her way to make our time in Monteverde special. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was close to the rest of town!
