Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Italy

We stayed in Rimini and had a wonderful experience. Our room was very comfortable, with cozy beds and everything spotlessly clean. We especially loved the swimming pool – in the evening it felt so calm and romantic. We relaxed by the pool and even rented bicycles to explore the nearby town. The hotel is right by the sea, offering a beautiful view and a peaceful atmosphere. Everything was perfect – the staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was simply amazing. We enjoyed our mornings with a sea view, tasting everything from fresh juices, coffee, and wine to sweet pastries, crepes, cheeses, and cured meats. Truly an unforgettable stay.

We loved everything about this hotel! 😊 The staff was amazing, we arrived very early and they let us use the pool area until we could check in way earlier than the normal time. 😊 The food at breakfast is mind-blowingly delicious, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. 😊 ❤️ Thank you for your great hospitality, we definitely want to return! 😊 The room and balcony was spacious, clean, we loved the mini fridge as well. They cleaned the room very well every day.

The hotel was excellent from the room to the friendly and enthousiastic staff. Breakfast was very luxourious, the pool opening hours were fantastic ( 7am - 23h ), great beach just outside. The bus stop right in front made it very simple to commute to the center of harbor. The streets and beach were also never to overly crowded and felt very relaxed.

The pool and brakefast was amazing, staff very lovely, restaurant with seea view room they are all right modern and clean, staff speak multiple languages and very helpful.

Very nice room and bathroom, good indoor pool, friendly and professional staff, amazing breakfast (the best I ever had in any hotel, it was basically a full luxury brunch). Very spacious balcony and I was able to check-in early + got a free room upgrade without asking. Amazing value.

Unfortunately I was unable to eat dinner there because there was a private function but breakfasts were good. The front desk staff were friendly and gave me a great alternative suggestion for dinner. It was very warm out, having the pool available would have been nice but it didn’t open until June. Overall beautiful hotel and lovely staff. My room had everything I needed for the short stay. Bed was comfortable. The one thing that was a little annoying was that there is a large gym on the ground level that seems to be open to the public and I could hear the machines and people very early in the morning even on the 3rd floor.

The hotel was lovely and we got a really big room to sleep 3 of us. The grounds were nice but the pool wasnt open when we stayed.

Great location on the northwest of the city if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the centre. Easy to get to by car off the ring road, and plenty of free secure onsite parking. Easy taxi ride to key Rome sights. Very reasonably priced. Plentiful breakfast buffet with a wide variety of foods to choose from. Great to have a fridge in the room.

Beautiful surroundings, 1930's look bright airy and clean. Sports facilities very good...clay tennis Courts fantastic and great helpful staff. Stunning grounds very relaxing to just sit and watch the world go by. Easy transport to the Centre of Rome. Foro Italico walkable and Vatican a 20 minute bus ride. Very much recommend and will return...rooms cleaned daily and meticulously done...loved this place.

Room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was really nice and we enjoyed it. Staff are very helpful. The hotel itself is in an enclosed area so the parking is very secure but are also offered underground further secure parking. A lovely hotel, amenities and staff. Would recommend.

Location is great for the airport and Florence centre. Taxi takes about 20min. Really lovely pool for days that are too hot to sightsee all day. The restaurant is fantastic with amazing food for really good value.

The room was spacious & clean. They had a pool and a bar. Great place to decompress after trudging through the city for a week. The restaurant had a good selection & reasonable prices. Staff was nice

Thanks a lot to the hotel team for their effectiveness, especially on the Breakfast. We enjoyed staying at the Hotel, even if we didn't have enough time to test the pool.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the NilHotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The only downside to the room was that to take a shower, you had to step up high to stand in the shower and our view was of an industrial company next door. Breakfast was good and there were good restaurants nearby. This hotel is out about 25 minutes from city center so you get a bigger room, free parking and breakfast than you would closer to Florence. We had a car and planned to drive but the very friendly desk clerk advised us to take a taxi for about 25 euros. Thank goodness he did. Transit drivers were on strike and many roads were closed. Google maps would have never gotten us there and we would have missed our tour of the Uffizi gallery. Instead we got dropped off at the entry to the museum in time.

The location of the Hotel was really great, close enough to the centre but not super busy or loud. Breakfast was fine, if you take a typical Italian coffee and croissant for breakfast. Pool was nice to have, although we did not make use of it due to weather and other factors. Water tank and coffee available at reception is great.

Excellent location in the heart of Catania, the pool is small but clean, staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast was good.

it’s in great place, near to Villa Bellini which is beautiful & on the airport bus route so really easy & cheap to get to the rooms are spacious the staff are very welcoming & the coffee/tea & cool water ‘on tap’ in reception was so welcoming & also complimentary so we were very hydrated the pool area was really good for Catania & there was an outdoor shower & the swimming cap & towel were loaned by the hotel the breakfast was included & we had quite a bit of choice as two people who can’t eat gluten or dairy products

Nice pool area, free cold water dispenser in the reception, rooms were clean and conformable for a reasonable in a good location, very close to the airport bus stop and a short pretty walk into the centre. Also hotel is very close to the botanical garden which are free and very pretty.

Location was amazing, lively corner with all you need arround. Lovely walking distance, 15mins till St. Mark, which we preferred, rather than using boat busses. Lots to see on the way. An extra point to the splendid, well heated pool that we used every day in between our wondering arround Venice. Our 7 year old was thrilled by it! And to mention also the evening bar by the pool, so cosy .Very pleasant stuff as well. We would definitely visit again, thank you!

Walk back in time to one of the oldest hotels in Venice. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Make sure to ask them restaurant recommendations, because wow. The one they recommended was AMAZING. Our room was clean and stocked with amenities. The bed was comfy after a long flight. The pool was greatly appreciated after a long hot day- although it sucked you only got 30 minutes a day to use it (they are very strict) And the included breakfast was amazing. Tons of options! The hotel is situated close to shopping and about 10 minutes from the Rialto bridge. We will definitely return to this hotel :)

The water taxi we hired from the train station dropped us off at the nearest location to the hotel and it was a short, straight walk down the street to the hotel. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. It's a short walk to the Ca' D'Oro ACTV Water Bus stand. The hotel offers a free taxi and a glass-blowing experience on Murano. The taxi takes you right to the glass-blowing facility. The best thing was the heated pool with a waterfall and water jets, which is an excellent way to relax after a long day of walking around Venice.

Fantastic hotel. Perfect location- few minutes to Rialto yet very quiet, off the beaten track. Also easy to get to/from airport (catch alilaguna ferry to Fondamenta Nove for EUR 15 and walk 7-10mins). Friendly staff, especially at breakfast (shoutout to Albert!) and reception. Nice courtyard with hot tub/pool- but be aware that kids only allowed in 11am-2pm. Junior Suite big enough for us as a couple with 1 kid- not lots of unpacking space/drawers/hooks, but not surprising for central Venice. Still can’t quite believe how many boxes this ticked for such a reasonable price. Highly recommend

We stayed at Hotel Giorgione for two nights in a classic room. The room and shower room were small but all we needed. The hotel was traditionally decorated and felt like we were in a historic building. Breakfast was good and eating outside was great. We didn’t use the pool but the whole area looked clean and well maintained. The hotel was located at the end of the main shopping area and within ten minutes of the Rialto bridge. The check in process took a long time although staff were pleasant. Bed was comfortable.

Lovely food in the restaurant. We were in the cottage enjoying privacy and the private pool.

The best hotel from our Italian roadtrip. Every detail was excellent and I couldn't recommend this hotel more. On arrival, you are given a nice welcome drink on the terrace with a beatuful view whilst they sort all the details out and deliver your luggage to your room. The room was superb - very well decorated, very clean, comfy bed, and unbelievably good view from the balcony. The staff were attentive, considerate and polite. Some of the nicest hotel staff I've dealt with for a long time. The dinner at the restaurant was some of the best food of our trip as well. So good that we only at dinner there for our entire stay. Wonderful specials and the waiters were attentive, and gave wonderful tips on wine selection. They even chose one of the daily specials as they knew it was my wifes favourite! The breakfast buffet was excellent, everything you would normally expect but at better quality than usual. They squeeze the orange just for you whilst you are there! A very nice swimming pool with comfortable surroundings. The staff even come round occasionally asking if you want anything brought to you. This list could go on for a long time - simply a wonderful hotel. It's the quality of a lot of 5* hotels I've stayed in, but much better value. We are defintely going back there one day.

The hotel is in a stunning location with views over the lake for breakfast,lunch & evening drinks. The staff are excellent,very helpful & pleasant nothing too much trouble. The pool was very welcome after a hot day exploring the area although not very many beds available & the sun bed cushions really could do with being replaced,. The breakfast choice was really good,excellent choice of fresh fruit,bakery & eggs. We ate at the hotel for dinner both nights & the food,wine & service is exceptional,some of the best dinners we had on our trip. Definitely book dinner here you will not be disappointed & the setting is very pretty . Good area for cycling,hiring bikes down near the lake is easy,& there is a lovely ride all around the lake mostly on bike lanes but not totally, some short bits on roads with traffic. One of our best hotels of the trip & thank you we would thoroughly recommend to others.

This hotel gives you a 5 star welcome in an amazing location overlooking the lake. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the balcony in our room had a fabulous view. The addition of the pool and jacuzzi were very relaxing. We ate in the restaurant both nights and would highly recommend it.

My fiancé and I had a truly lovely experience at the spa in Hotel Continental. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed: the atmosphere was calm, the staff attentive, and the whole experience was thoughtfully managed. One detail that meant a lot to us: they kindly allowed us to bring our baby into the pool during a quieter time, free of charge. It was a simple gesture, but it made a big difference and allowed us to enjoy the spa together without any stress. We also booked two massages during our visit, and both were excellent: deeply relaxing, skillfully done, and tailored to exactly what we needed. A special thanks to Valentina, the spa manager, who is not only professional and organized but also warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about what she does. She’s put together a fantastic team — everyone we encountered was friendly, respectful, and genuinely attentive. The spa itself is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and designed for real relaxation. But what made the experience stand out was the level of care and thoughtfulness from the people running it. Highly recommended : we left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and truly looked after. :)

Our stay at Hotel Continental was absolutely outstanding. We were fortunate to stay on the third floor with an incredible large balcony with a beautiful view. The hotel is beautiful. The grounds, the pool, the cleanliness and the customer service is exemplary. I cannot say enough how amazing this hotel is. Will definitely be back on my next trip to the Italian Riviera

This hotel is more than fabulous! Our terrace view was spectacular. The gardens and sea pool area was immaculate. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious, as was dinner.

The grounds are stunning. The rooms are great and our view was exceptional. The restaurant is excellent as is the dining by by the pool.

I know that many people like new, modern, beautiful things, and this hotel has been outdated for about 10 years, but we still loved it, despite all its flaws. The surroundings are beautiful, the thermal section and the pools are great, the staff is good overall, and the rooms were pleasant. The breakfast is delicious and sufficiently varied. The almond-hazelnut cake became my new favorite pastry. The rooms are large enough and the beds are comfortable. We only booked for two days at first, but we liked the Euganean Hills and the atmosphere of the place so much that we returned after a few days' break. If you come here, don't miss the fantastic wine region and the towns of Arqua Petrarca, Esté, and Monselice, because they are also beautiful. There was something old-fashioned but romantic about the fact that the hotel guests were served mainly by elegant waiters over the age of 50. There are many other services that we did not use due to the heat, such as golf, cycling, or tennis courts. Paolo is the nicest receptionist I have ever met at any front desk. I hope he stays at the hotel for a long time.

The room is big, with a terrace. Very clean everywhere. The external swing pool is beautiful and linked to the internal. Very good breakfast until 10h30.

Galzignano resort is perfect place to rest and be active, to enjoy gold food and kind stuff.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mangia Brucoli and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive (specially Lucia from Reception), ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The rooms were immaculate, modern, amazing private pool, great amenities. Is located in a great and big soace with great access to the sea and several sports availabe!! Great experience we will came back

Wonderful hotel. The pool and view are magnificent with very kind pool service, service at the pool bar (hostesses and hosts and cocktail masters), good food at the pool bar and lime bar. The morning buffet is very extensive and fresh. The donna floriana restaurant has kind service and good food. The pizzeria provides very decent pizzas but was moderately managed, as was the grill restaurant. The sushi bar has lovely sushi, with superb cocktails and very kind service. Price quality top.

This is a wonderful resort. Built on a hillside overlooking South over the Ionian Sea, the resort has three pools, tennis courts and a gym. It is well positioned for excursions to Etna, Catania, Syracusa. We had suites in an L shape. The seating area as you entered and along the long part of the L, the bathroom area followed by the bedroom. Each part had a partition door. There was a semi private patio with chairs and a table. We found many exquisite walks and a lovely secret cove down to the sea. Be careful. Rocks can be slippery and there are sea anenomes, so you may to protect feet. There is a really broad selection of food options. Upscale and the more mundane. We tried the sushi restaurant and Meditterea. Both had good food and excellent service. The main pool is big and warm. Very relaxing. There are separate pools for the younger kids with a couple of slides and one exclusively for adults. All in, we enjoyed it and can't wait to return. The staff were very attentive. There are slopes throughout the property but not difficult to negotiate for most. More challenging if you have a mobility issue. Very picturesque and lovely views.

Great room with its own pool. Both the pool and room very clean. Very nice staff that did the cleaning. Gardens were beautiful. The location of the property is amazing - by the sea in the middle of nowhere. You MUST have a car otherwise you are stuck at the hotel. Huge breakfast buffet that serves until 11am 😎 The beach is rocky not sand. Three pools with lots of sunloungers + sunloungers by the rocky beach. Several restaurants and great little beach kaftan shop.

The hotel site is beautiful surround by trees and amazing flowers, lots of birds as a result - including scops owls. Food superb - a change of dishes every night, pool amazing with Mount Etna in the background, rooms so comfortable but the staff were the cherry on top - Gabriele at front desk, Lorenzo, Victoria and Anastasia and Sebastian at the pool so helpful and kind.

you can say we loved everything , the make our arrival welcome , the lady at the front desk got out and lead us to our room and showed us the pool and other utilities at the hotel, the room was bigger than our need and was cleaned daily with now towels, the rooms are with air-conditions and the pool was a foot step from our room , in the morning there was a contour breakfast with cappuccino in demand as we liked as much we asked . overall it was a delight to stay at san luca hotel

I always enjoy my stays at Hotel San Luca. It is a big hotel (by Italian standards) centrally located in Battipaglia, just a short distance off the Autostrada A2. The hotel has an ATM on site, restaurant and pool. Battipaglia is the second or third largest town in the Salerno province so there are many businesses, shops and restaurants. It is a great place to stay if visiting Paestum or a day trip to the Amalfi Coast! Highly recommend

Stellar staff response to a problem The director even came out to ensure we were happy. We were! That's why I am giving them a 10. This is an excellent hotel for the money with a spacious room, big shower, good AC, parking, a pool.

It’s a relatively big proper hotel, with most facilities (pool, restaurant, dry cleaning, reception). It’s on one of the main roads about 8-10 minutes by cab from the train station. Breakfast is nice and staff were friendly.

We stayed there for one night and everything was fine. The room was big, food at the restaurant was quite good, pool and kids playground were nice.

The garden and the pool area were very large and beautiful and quiet. The poll is very large and there are many places to rest. The three rooms in the old wing ground floor are very small for two persons and the bed is also small. We were transferred to the first floor with a much better room.Breakfast was very nice. The staff is exceptional friendly. The only thing to criticize was the cleanliness of the pool. While the surroundings and the water itself were very clean, the walls of the pool are in need of cleaning, there was a brown layer on the tiles which can easily be removed.

The hotel was lovely & clean & the pool was great. The whole team were great with a special mention to the pool girl Mireya, she was fabulous & very friendly & looked after us so well. Also to Chef Fabio, his food is the best we have ever eaten!! He explained how he made the dishes we chose & was also so friendly. They a both a huge credit to your hotel & we won’t hesitate to recommend you

They have really good restaurant here, also the hotel itself has aura looking nice and cosy, Good pool area would provide a pleasant stay in hot days. We were staying in the Autumn so the weather was already mild, so the pool season is over, however we still used it at least once:)

The sweetest girl worked at the pool bar. Shout out to her! We loved the pool area. The breakfast was good but we would like to have some more cheeses. Parmesan for you example.

The property was lovely 😊 very clean was a perfect little spot lovely swimming pool ! The swimming pool didn’t have many snack options at all and the evening restaurant is open between 7-10 so if you hungry you have to go the local town , the local town is picturesque just beautiful, but eating out there is very limited and Sunday absolutely no where is open ! The hotel could definitely offer more snacks during the day ! The breakfast was small options but very nice to be fair if you just want a light breakfast for me it was great ! All in all we had a nice stay but do think that hotel should definitely offer more day time snacks ! If I was in Italy again I would definitely stay again :-)

We chose this hotel because it was "out of the way" and away from the noise and bustle of Sorrento. However, it is just on the edge of the little village with lovely restaurants. The hotel itself is just beautiful. There were amazing views from the balcony and the pool over the bay of Naples. It is quite traditional - beautiful furniture and mirrors. The staff are delightful - they only speak a little English but try so hard to communicate if you can't speak Italian. They were friendly and warm - especially to the children. The hotel felt very safe so we were able to let our daughters (aged 11 & 14) wander around and to the pool by themselves. Very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Loved the fresh towels every day. Breakfast was good - typically continental. We were able to get around easily as the hotel provided a shuttle bus to and from Sorrento. From the drop off point, it was easy to get to the beach, port and train station. We also took local bus as it stopped close to hotel. A wonderful stay - highly recommend for families who want a quiet, relaxing and good quality hotel for their holiday.

We searched hotels for a few weeks before booking the Jaccarino. We must have looked at 40-50 hotels in the region before settling on this one and, after our week long visit, we were glad we did! The staff are superb, friendly and efficient while not being intrusive. The main areas, pool, bar and restaurants are all very nice places to be. The bed was comfortable and super clean each day. The WiFi was fast and the food and drink were both reasonably priced and very tasty! There are a number of great restaurants within a short (and mostly flat) walk and the free shuttle bus to Sorrento was clean, reliable and well driven. The whole place has an authentic 'Italian family' atmosphere (it is NOT a faceless corporate chain hotel) and the personal touch of the staff made us feel very welcome. Would we stay again and / or recommend to family and friends? Absolutely 'yes'! Oh, and one last thing, the view from the terrace, pool and some of the rooms is simply breathtaking!

This hotel is high above Sorrento but there is a little lane that you can walk down into town, although it is a bit steep in places. There is a free hotel shuttle that takes you to the centre of town. The views from the hotel are magnificent. The food in the breakfast and dinner option is ok but the waiting staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are big and plenty of fast running hot water. Around the pool is nice, the pool water was a bit cold in May. The reception staff are excellent, advising the best trips and booking them for you if you wish, but there is no hard sell. Overall we had a good stay.

Lovely hotel, great spot for getting to/from naples airport - about 35euro in a taxi/20mins drive (much quicker than any central naples hotels). It was a perfect "last day" spot for me, after a week on the amalfi and wanting a hassel-free early morning transfer. This hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, fantastic restaurant (actually the best pasta I'd had all week!) and my room was really spacious and beautifully appointed (with a v. comfy bed!!). It's in the perfect spot for visiting pompeii and herculaneum... if I'd found it sooner, i would have stayed here longer. My only small criticism was with drinks service... the staff were working hard throughout, but the menus are on QR codes, but without a means to order. There was about an hour when i was keen for a cocktail by the pool, but no one came to take my order (the waiter was serving inside/ upstairs). Similarly at dinner, i was given the QR code for the wine list but no one came until my food order (some time later as i was translating the whole menu on google translate!). It wasnt a huge deal for me, but honestly the hotel would have made a fair amount more dollar from me if service / ordering was tightened up! That said, the staff were are delightful, clearly working hard throughout, and i had a lovely stay. I would 100% stay again.

Hotel was really helpful from dislocation from our ship. I’m getting a taxi to the hotel. We arrived early. They looked after our suitcases then they went to the pool. Then they come and found us and told us our rooms are ready to check in so we did the hotel was of a very clean high standard Swimming pool was maintained exceptionally well. The poor lifeguard was really helpful showing us things where they were had a language barrier problem, but that was soon become, but overall I would definitely recommend at the hotel.

The staff were brilliant...super helpful especially when arranging sight seeing trips. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning was very effective, which was great given the temperature rarely got below 34. The pool area was brilliant....loads of loungers and a fab pool. Breakfast was very good too. The location was superb...v close to Naples but also very East to get to Pompei etc

We had a fantastic holiday at Hotel Tre Fontane Luxury. The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The staff were brilliant during our stay – everyone from the reception team (who were especially helpful when arranging taxis and the shuttle bus), to the breakfast staff, bar staff, and even the lifeguard at the pool were all lovely, welcoming, and professional (pool towels are provided each day). Our room was really modern, a good size, nice size balcony and kept cool by the air conditioning, although it’s worth noting that the air conditioning appears to be centrally controlled – we couldn’t lower the temperature beyond the set level. That said, it wasn’t a problem as the room stayed pleasantly cool throughout our stay.

Family stay for holiday. Comfortable and clean Rooms. Large enough for two adults two children with two comfy single beds for children. We booked this hotel expecting the swimming pool to be open. But pool was shut in third week of April. Suggest future guests to check with hotel before booking as this is seasonal. Our room was not given air conditioning. When asked they said it is also seasonal. So check with hotel before booking. At night the room temperature was 27C. When I complained reception asked me to open the balcony window. Last day on Easter Sunday, there was a disco within the resort grounds. They switched on AC knowing guests needed to shut windows due to noice. Without AC rooms are poorly ventilated, too hot and difficult to breath. I don’t think the management cares. Be aware of the complementary snacks on the table. Items in the fridge and snacks on the tables are all chargeable. Only tea and coffee is free. Hotel should keep these separate. It is misleading. There is a small barcode you need to scan to check price for these items but this is hardly visible when you first arrive. For 300 euros a night come on Tre Fonte. Nice comfortable hotel but the experience ruined by these silly things to save a few pennies. Luxury is not only nice shiny things but how you treat your guests. I recommend your hotel for comfort but ask future guests to heck every single detail before booking. Like many things in Italy, there’s always a surprise 😀

We had a suite which was a beautiful room overlooking the pool with a balcony. Wonderful facilities: indoor pool, outdoor pool, rooftop hot tubs, steam room, sauna and cold plunge. The central outdoor enclosure around the pool was stunning. Fruit trees, hedges, flowers which gave the hotel a constant fleural aroma and provided hidden outdoor seating arrangements. This is off the backdrop of the mountains as well. The family runs it with a delicacy of care that is uncanny. For example, every morning you recieve a wax sealed menu for the evening should you choose to dine at the hotel in the evening. Or you can request the hotel to make a home made apple strudel to take home (free) as a parting gift. I also loved the lodge like bar which hosted a variety of whiskies and cigars (gents you'll love this). I could go on. In summary if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful mountainous setting, this is your hotel. Thank you Ansitz Plantiz I am sure we'll be back!

I would have never expected this kind of service from an Hotel in Merano. Everything was simply perfect. We were upgraded by the owner to a romantic suite and believe me when I say that the room was at the level of Four seasons or Ritz Carlton suites. Breakfast was incredible every morning. Internet super fast. There are and open air infinity pool and an indoor pool. We hang out at the pool one full day and it was very relaxing. There is a small gym and spa. 2 floor parking garage (you will never run out of spots) I met the owner (her) and she was exquisite. I believe she is also a painter and you can admire her work all accross the property. There is soooo much. I really suggest you visit this Hotel if you ever come to Merano.

The location is wonderful, quite and natural around so feeling relax, upgrade the garden room is big and comfy close to swimming pool outdoor. Indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa room, gym room are so great! Breakfast and dinner are not special but good!

If you are planning to visit Merano this is the place to stay. It is a family run hotel and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We first stayed there two years ago and it was great but since then it has had a major renovation and it is even better now. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite which had a fantastic view over the great pool area to the mountains. There is a good choice including cook to order egg dishes at breakfast and the included afternoon cake buffet is an added bonus. Since our last visit more English is spoken but we did wish we could understand the daily news letter as we felt we might be missing out on some interesting facts or activities. We’ll definitely return if in the area again, it is a fantastic hotel.

Stayed in Mid November 24. Loved the hotel, loved Merano. Upon check in we were upgraded to a large nice modern room. Design was fab, with a large walk in wardrobe and large lounge area. View of apple groves. The exterior of the hotel was well landscaped. The spa facilities were comprehensive, with a good sized heated pool, saunas, ample quiet chill areas. We had a massage session- the masseur was good. Service was very good; breakfast and dinner was good too. The steak was especially memorable. Merano is beautiful in autumn with the hillside walks and walks by the river with the autumn colors. The hotel is a nice 10-15 minute walk into town. Wonderful stay

OMG what a find! After checking out of a previous place in another town early because it wasn’t in a great location and not very nice we booked this last minute. We could not have been happier! Super quaint location and building with well appointed rooms. The service made it for us though, they went out of their way to help with bags, out of hours food and wine service and location advice even though only 4 stars and we didn’t expect it. English was great but their attitude to welcoming us made this feel like it was our own personal palace. If you get rooms in the 4th floor you will have amazing views over the old town. We could not believe the value for money. The restaurant Bosone Garden was lovely, the food great and quite possibly the best cocktails we have had in Italy so far. Gubbio is a fantastic spot for a few days (the Funivia that takes you up the mountain was so much fun and the kids and adults loved it. All the restaurants in the town were great full for the business and super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our kids which made the overall visit to the town even better. I’m a harsh critic usually but this hotel and its staff all blew me away with their genuine service. The breakfast is lovely with beautiful home made cakes and pastries and the room it’s served in is quite spectacular. Thanks for having us!

We travel several weeks a year in Italy and often seek out the wonderful medieval hill towns. When visiting those, there is always a decision to be made. Do you stay farther out in a larger more modern facility (or agricultura - farm stay), or do you stay inside the wall, which is always in a centuries old and charming historic property so thus has size and amenity limitations? We do both quite often. But it is great to be able to just walk out the door and be in the heart of the medieval old town - morning and nights and all day long while being able to take breaks in the room. We took a taxi that had permission to enter the restricted area that dropped us right at the hotel door with our bags and we stayed 3 nights. We had the larger "comfort" room (or Superior, which is the same size) and there was plenty of room to open and store on the floor two suitcases - very clean and comfortable. The staff was great at helping us with advice for traveling in the area. Nice breakfast. Great coffee. This is by far the best hotel inside the walls of fantastic Gubbio. It is right next to the Grand Plaza - the best location in town.

We stayed two nights in Room 212 which had been recommended on Expedia. The room is up a small circular stairway. Room 212 is huge -- and is actually a suite with a separate sitting room. The bedroom is enormous, with a very high frescoes ceiling. There are large windows in both rooms that look downhill over the town of Gubbio. This was a lovely place. The staff were gracious and very helpful. I would highly recommend it. In the old town of Gubbio, there are only narrow, one-way streets. Finding the hotel was a bit of an adventure, but not unpleasantly so. There were a few places where signage could have been improved, so we looped once or twice until we found the next correct turn. The hotel is 100 yards or so past the Piazza Grande, so the location is ideal.

Located in the old city on a very steep hillside the hotel is positioned well for sightseeing. Our room was on the top floor and, although not large, was very comfortable and had a terrific view of the valley below. A very nice young woman performed all of the tasks very cheerfully including check in, porter, bartender and concierge. She recommended and secured a reservation at a nearby restaurant that proved to be one of the top 3 meals we have had so far. The only drawback is that parking is located about 1/4 mile away. Not a deal breaker by any means, but not very convenient. All of the streets in the old city are narrow and one way with no parking for visitors.

The Hotel Bosone Palace was just as described in all the reviews. We had two bedrooms and each one was very well appointed. The bathrooms were newly renovated with roomy showers and fluffy towels. We dined at the Terrace restaurant behind the hotel. The setting was beautiful and the meal good for the price. The morning was offered in a beautiful room and displayed a good selection of pastries, cereals and yogurts. The croissant was the best one we had in Italy. The hot beverages were made to order, so the Capucino was simply perfect. Just keep in mind to park on the Parking lot for the funicular close by. It will save time and effort dragging your luggage through this beautiful hilly town.

This propriety is situated in a magical little town where the time looks stopped making you experience the old beauty of this little town, kids still playing in the plaza, you can enjoy the good traditional food from the various restaurants around the hotel, enjoy the beautiful view and meet very friendly local people. From the hotel you can reach San Marino in less than 15 minutes driving, the beautiful town of Rimini where you can enjoy the beaches or with kids you can spend a fun day in Italia in Miniatura or the water park or the amusement park Mirabilandia, the aquarium, etc… the hotel s stuff is super friendly, the rooms are clean and there is a very nice relaxing and romantic SPA. Me and my family can’t wait to go back!

This hotel is amazing, we are planing to come back for a longer stay next year ! The area and the view is stunning, very close to san marino, san leo, beaches, rimini and wine fields for wine tasting. Their service is great. The hotel is really pretty and quite different with small tunnels and "caves" and such, they even got a spa ! The restaurant in/under the hotel is THE best we tried in our 14 day trip driving around in italy, nothing comes close to the level of service and quality !!

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und daher nicht lange da. Für kleiner Spaziergang am Abend durch das romantische Dörfchen und zum Castello hat die Zeit aber gereicht und es hat sich gelohnt. Das Personal war freundlich und ist auch auf all unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Das Zimmer war eher klein aber hat für diese eine Übernachtung total gereicht und viel wichtiger, die Sauberkeit hat gepasst. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstücksbüffet war reichhaltig und sehr fein, es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Grazie mille

Både hotellet och byn är mycket charmerande. Personalen var trevlig och frukosten var bra. Både rummet och hotellet var mycket rent. Byn är underbar och det tar bara ca 20 minuter att köra till San Marino. I byn finns bra restauranger. Den ligger uppe på en kulle och fick vi rum med underbar utsikt. Trevligt att promenera i de gamla gatorna. Vi skulle gärna åka dit igen.

Der Empfang, das Abendessen und Frühstück, das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, trotz Corona. Besonders die Kellnerin mit dem Tattoo am Arm mit den dunklen Haaren(leider haben wir den Namen nicht) war Klasse. Das Badezimmer war etwas beengt, jedoch ausreichend. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind würden wir wieder buchen.
