They made an effort to customise things to your taste and were very kind with surprising free drinks when just relaxing by the pool. My compliments to the absolutely fantastic staff at Hydramis hotel, they were brilliant, kind, helpfull polite and very seviceminded. The buffé was ok, the best food was the fresh food directly made by the chefs corner. That was really nice. The beach is comfortable with all needed facilities close by, the poolarea nice and not very crowode with poolbar. We had a room with shared pool, allthough it was lovely with direct access from our room the big downside was that the corridor outside the room was very loud, All the noise from kids screaming, staff walking through with trolleys from poolbar to kitchen, doors slamming real hard were increased by the lack of soundproofing. The beds were also really hard and really needs a soft matress on top of the bed. We got all we could ask for but without sleep and silence. Adress these two negatives and we will for sure come back because we loved the Place and the staff!!! An extra plus to the nice spa-Girls that did a really good job, ecxellent massage.

Wir haben nach bereits guten Erfahrungen im Vorjahr wieder einen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus gebucht und wurden auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht.Trotz des relativ späten Aufenthaltes in der Saison war das Hotel noch sehr gut gebucht - voller Betrieb.. Bei unserer (angekündigten) späten Ankunft hat man uns im Kühlschrank zwei Teller mit kalten Speisen und Getränken bereitgestellt - sehr aufmerksam. Für WLAN im Zimmer ist die Mitnahme eines WLAN Routers empfohlen, den man am LAN Anschluss im Zimmer betreiben kann. Wir haben wieder ein "Shared Pool" Zimmer gebucht, da man dort etwas abseits vom Trubel am Hauptpool auf seiner eigenen Terrasse entspannen kann. Im Gegensatz zum Vorjahr und den Bildern auf der Hotelhomepage waren diesmal kein Schirm/Liegen auf der Terrasse vorhanden, sondern nur Tisch und Sessel. Nach Anfrage bei der Reception nach Schirm&Liege wurde dieser Wunsch abgelehnt, jedoch nach einem guten Gespräch mit dem sehr freundlichen und professionell agierenden Hoteldirektor Hrn. Lefteris Damas war es kein Problem mehr. Wir haben uns auch sonst im Hotel und bei den Miarbeitern sehr gut aufgehoben und betreut gefühlt, sei es beim sehr aufmerksamen Restaurantchef und seinen Kellnern und Mitarbeitern, oder bei der Poolbar oder selbst bei den Zimmermädchen und Hausarbeitern. Das Haus wird auch von den Handwerkern und Gärtnern unauffällig, aber permanent gut in Schuss gehalten, Für uns wars wieder schön!

Myself and my husband stayed here in June 2015. We were welcomed into the hotel and although had booked half board we were given all inclusive. The room we had booked was a partial sea view which was excactly that as the view directly in front of us was of a wall but if you leaned over the balcony and looked out to the side you could see the sea, we asked for a better room and two days later we were given a marginally better room although this did look over a derelict hotel that had a horse wandering around in it. The food was typical all inclusive edible but not great. The hotel staff were wonderful truly the most friendly and helpful hotel staff I have met especially Alki the barman. The hotel is close to a very small parade of shops and tavernas but don't expect great dining experience although the staff in these places make up for the lack of food choices. Pool area was clean and quiet never a problem getting a sun bed and the pool bar had adequate snacks and drinks Overall if you want a chilled out, clean and friendly hotel this is the place to visit make sure you visit the many beaches along the coast as they are wonderful especially a little place called bali.

Nice stay. Pool area was nice and directly connected to beach. Relaxing time with all inclusive service. Quite old hotel but mostly in good shape. Tennis court was bad and also ping pong equipment etc should be replaced.. Good service. Specially our early check-in was really well organized

A simply superb stay. The Orpheas is so very different to the grey concrete boxes of hotels in Kavros, having a lovely Bohemian and boutique feel, with gorgeous, well tended gardens and excellent rooms. The food was fantastic, with a wide and plentiful choice of dishes. The staff were amazing, from Vicki on reception, the bartenders, the waitresses, the room cleaner, the cook at the Pool Bar and especially Nikos, the porter... These guys and girls could really not do enough to make our stay perfect. We had a suite which was very clean and comfortable, with a modern bathroom, fridge and it's own little plunge pool in the garden. The food at the pool bar was excellent and the beach was superb with gorgeous, golden sand.

From the minute you walk in to this beautiful hotel you feel the calm and traditional Greek feeling. Staff are so helpful . Food brilliant with lots of choice , we booked half board but intended to go out some evenings however we only ate out once as the food and choice was so good. We had a suite with private pool which was lovely and nice to come back to after a day on the private beach and also first thing in the morning. Food at the pool bar was also excellent. We will definitely return as everything you need is at your fingertips . Absolutely loved our 11 nights here and highly recommend if you want a peaceful, away from it all, holiday.

Visited for 7 days but wanted longer. Been previously to the area back 2023 so needed somewhere with value and look no further than the Orpheas. From check in to check out everything was perfect. Friendly staff ( Eda) we knew her brother Andy from Sirokos restaurant ( small world) the bar staff during the day were also 5 * along with the restaurant staff in the evening. The food was amazing from breakfast to evening meals with lots of choices. The rooms were very big and very secure. the out Jacuzzi is a must or outside pools look great! Quiet pool - sun loungers you could get ( very hot in July) if not make your way down to the pool bar which we stayed and could get a sunbed. If not there’s plenty on the beach so you have so much choice Location amazing for the beach or the local restaurants and also bars for us ( pirates bar) if you wanted a late night boogie! We are planning our wedding in 2027 down the road so will definitely be back at this hotel and have recommended to family and friends. I could write a lot more but please see the photos below

From the moment you enter Orpheas hotel you feel the relaxed atmosphere, the almost serene peace that we were longing so much for when we booked our holiday. The fact that it is an 'adult only' hotel (minimum age is 16 years) surely helped. The good experience started at the reception where all employees not only speak several languages, but are also very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The help with our luggage was very much appreciated. The room we had exceeded our expectations: spacious, spotlessly clean and with a breathtaking seaview. Imagine.. falling asleep with the sound of the waves. The new pool is beautiful and has sunbeds around to relax. Or you can read a book in the well maintained garden. And if you prefer the beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, it is only a 5 minute walk. Breakfast buffet has a great variety and everything is fresh. For a little extra cost a big glass of fresh orange juice (without icecubes) was served at our table. Diner buffet is also very nice and tasty. Enough choice and variety for everyone to find some dishes you like. They also serve good wines at a normal price. Staff in the restaurant is very friendly and helpful too. Same for the poolbar where you can order a tasty lunch à la carte for a reasonable price. Overall you can see that all the employees have satisfaction and pleasure in giving the guests a good time. Add the good price-quality balance and then it is clear why we definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent a week at Orpheas Resort Hotel at the start of May & thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a late flight so were expecting to just get our keycard and head to our room when we arrived. We were greeted with a delicious selection of food reserved for us, a great welcome and it was much appreciated. The room was lovely, however in the information we read before booking we saw that the rooms were described as soundproof. That's definitely not the case. We could hear music from the neighbouring hotel and other guests chatting. The entire hotel was spotless. The cleaning team works really hard! The food was great, lots of choice, fresh and delicious. The team working the breakfast and dinner sittings were brilliant. One receptionist in particular was incredibly helpful, giving us tips on where we could go for different activities when we asked about options. The only down side for us was that there's one really nice undercover area by the pool (along with sunbeds etc that are around the pool) and because we were there at the start of the season it wasn't always warm and there was a day of rain. We would have loved to sit out there but that area was always taken by smokers. While there was nothing stopping us sitting in there, as non-smokers, we would have liked another option. The beach that we could access from the back of the hotel was fabulous, clean and safe. It was a wonderful week!

The view from our room (Infinity Suites Swim Up Sea View) was amazing. Rooms are spacious, well layed out, with a good size terrace. Comfy beds - you could even select from a variety of pillows. Pretty quiet rooms. Breakfast and dinner were great, sometimes with excellent live music. We enjoyed the pool area, and the quality of the drinks. Great hotel design. Staff was very helpful and attentive - Hi to George! Nice a la carte restaurant as well.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were all so kind and helpful with any question or request - from the lovely girls at the reception, to the restaurant manager and waiters, and even the cheerful lady at the beach who lifted everyone’s spirits (we even played tic-tac-toe together!). The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-organized. The hotel is actually much closer to the sea than it looks, with a stunning private beach and a fun pool area. The sea view is breathtaking. We were upgraded to a suite with a private pool, which was amazing! The spa treatment was excellent, and the lady there was very kind and professional. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel - everything was truly excellent. Thank you for a perfect stay!

A great stay here in Crete, if you’re planning to come here from Heraklion I suggest renting a car (around 1 hour and 30 minutes from there). The resort is stunning, all new and with attentive staff. The food offered at the buffet was great, many options and with excellent desserts. The room was modern and stunning, I loved the pool on the balcony. The beach is long and stunning with nice beach beds. Overall I loved my stay here.

Amazing! the outside space is huge, great views by day and beautifully lit at night. Very private, not overlooked. Host met us and was very welcoming - we appreciated the lovely gifts! Well appointed, even two coffee machines, great cooking facilities including BBQ - perfect for a relaxing day. The pool is wonderful, cleaned every day, and outside area swept daily - staff so helpful and attentive. Loved the hot tub, especially at night with the changing lights, listening to music. Weather wasn't great, but it didn't matter at all, the villa was so perfect we enjoyed every minute. Will be back one day!

The grounds are beautiful. Each unit is very spacious and well equipped. Poppy was there to greet us and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. There's a snack bar near the pool, tavernas nearby. The beach is a short ride away. We were a group of 14 people, 3 generations, and everyone was so pleased!

We spent our family holiday at Douliana Villas and truly enjoyed the peaceful setting, far from the crowds. The swimming pool was great for relaxing (depth is around 1.6 m, so better suited for confident swimmers), and the nearby tavern served delicious food with a wonderful local atmosphere at very reasonable prices. The location is also convenient for exploring — beautiful beaches and the lovely city of Chania are just a short drive away. A car is definitely needed to make the most of the area. We also appreciated the cleaning service and fresh towels every three days.

The hotel is very nice, the staff is very friendly and they were constantly looking after our comfort. The pools are very clean and everywhere was very clean. We had rented a superior bungalow with its own pool. This pool was cleaned every day and the water was comfortably warm.The food was delicious and very varied. We managed to have a very good rest! We stayed at Villa Athermigo for our first 4 nights on Crete (after flying into Chania) and couldn‘t have been happier with our choice. Set in an old olive mill, the place feels very calm and private (only 3 rooms, beautiful garden and pool) and yet manages to create a nice sense of community. The staff was great — special shoutout to Chrisa who served breakfast every morning with a vibrant energy, smiles and good tips for the surroundings.

We got to live out our Grecian villa dreams here! Room was spacious, ground were stunning (especially in May), and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. Incredible views of the surrounding hills & olive groves, and the pool was so refreshing after long days exploring the island. Chania is a short 40 minute drive, and Samaria Gorge & Elafonisi Beach are just under 2 hours away. We hope to come back someday, we loved staying here.

Everything - perfect for family or gathering of friends, independent but beautiful spaces with shared pool

We stayed in the larger villa with a private pool. It is a lovely property. The owners Nektaria, Christos and family live around 30 minutes away and they could not have been more generous. In addition to helping with the villa, they also dealt with our car hire company for us when we had a flat tyre and suggested places to visit. Douliana is peaceful and comprises several villas, an excellent traditional taverna, cafes and a small shop. Beaches, supermarkets and sites of interest are within easy driving distance.

The villa Syblia was very spacious, well equipped, comfortable with lovely private pool and outdoor pizza oven and BBQ pit. The village is quiet and friendly and has lovely walks from the villa. Beaches were a short drive away and the location is good (with a car) to lots of attractions/places to visit.The host, Nektaria, cooked fresh local home cooking for our arrival which was lovely and was very helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Would definately recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa with private pool. Nektaria is a great host and was always on hand with excellent advice as well as providing us with delicious local specialties including homemade ones which we really appreciated. The villa itself had everything we needed and the pool was a very good size set in a lovely garden with plenty of cozy outdoor furniture. The villa is situated in the heart of the village which has a couple of nice tavernas and a cafe all with friendly owners and great Cretan food. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we hope to be back soon. Thank you Nektaria and family for everything.

We rented 2 houses around the pool, for a family of 9. Lots of space, really nice houses, garden and pool, in a calm area a short drive away from the beach and commerce. The host gave us a very warm welcome and many tips about the area, and checked everything was ok throughout our stay. Any issue or question was solved promptly, which was greatly appreciated. Even the recommendation of restaurants on the other side of Chania were a success! The houses were clean and well equipped, and we could cook for all, wash clothes, sleep well with the air conditioning. The kids loved the pool, the adults enjoyed it too. To get there and explore around, you will likely need a car. We could park inside the property on dedicated parking spots, which was very good, despite a couple of narrow alleys in Douliana, but never a problem. The village is beautiful and calm, with great views of the mountains, cats and flowers. A couple of nice tavernas are at walking distance. The best local mini-markets and bakery we used are in Vamos, about 3km away. For a better selection of market, butcher and baker, go to Kalyves, 6km away. I highly recommend the retreat homes Apokoronas for a calm stay in the mountain area, very relaxing, lovely place.

We have stayed at Douliana many times but this was the best visit yet. We arrived late at night and the host, Nektaria was very concerned that we would settle in comfortably. She turned up to make sure that we were familiar with everything. She had already sent us WhatsApp messages to make sure that we found the villa. On top of that she left us a wonderful meal in the oven so that we could eat when we arrived. This was completely unexpected way beyond what I could expect from any host. I also hate to be hungry so it was very welcome after a long day travelling. The house was spotlessly clean and well tended. It had all the facilities you could want for a stay and was very comfortable. The villa is close to the Taverna so evening meals were never a difficulty. If you're self catering, the villa is well set up. Douliana is close enough to Vamos and Gavilochori to take advantage of the very fine tavernas and cafes there, either by car or on foot. The little pool was spotlessly clean and very pleasant in the Autumn sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this villa. It was made exceptional by the care Nektaria took to ensure our comfort. Thanks again for making our trip so memorable and enjoyable.

Asphaltos Villas is a unique place. A wonderfully equipped villa with a private pool, a small garden and a terrace. Beds are very comfortable. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is also a lot of privacy, no one looks into your garden or pool. The location on a hill offers beautiful views and lower temperatures during the day. The driveway is steep, but after the second time you drive up it, it's no longer a challenge :) The Dourakis vineyard and a wonderful restaurant in the village of Maza are within (hilly) walking distance. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Maria recommended wonderful beaches and restaurants to us. She also helped us find shops in Chania that we were interested in. A stay at Asphaltos Villas is guaranteed relaxation and chillout.

Excellent location - very peaceful. One needs a car however as it is deep in the country/hills. The pool was big enough for our family; there was wine and sweets waiting for us when we arrived; and Maria our host brought us tomatoes and cucumber (from her garden)! All communications was very easy as the hosts live nearby and answer within half hour. There is a lovely table on the patio outside for our meals. And the pool - again - was magnificent. Very private. And with views out to the sea towards Rethymno. The house was also beautifully decorated and had everything one needed (like cooking utensils etc).

The villas were absolutely beautiful, very clean and very spacious. We travelled as a group of 18 to celebrate my 30th birthday and loved this place. We had 2 villas and all the utilities to facilitate big meals, BBQs and a pool party. The added bonus was that we didn't have any nearby neighbours so we didn't need to worry that much about keeping quiet or disturbing anyone. Overall a great place and we will definitely return (Also, great location close to both Chania and Rethymno)

Villas are clean, very good sized and well equipped. They are very well maintained and the pools being heated is a big bonus. The view is spectacular.

The location and the view every day was breathtakingly beautiful, we couldn’t stop taking pictures! As we drove up the hill the first time we were starting to get worried but when we arrived, every doubt was gone! The staff was so accommodating and lovely, the villa was beautiful, clean and spacious and the view was just perfect. The pool was the cherry on top.

House is perfect for crowded family or big friends group. It is spacious. Pool and garden area is quite nice and well maintained thanks to the very friendly staff! The view from the house is really nice. Town center is 5 min away with the car.

Every thing was perfect, the location is amazing 7 minutes from the lake and beach. The crew was very receptive and welcoming!

• We had a very friendly and accommodating host that was easily available via Whatsapp at all times. • Upon arrival everything was clean, and towels and bedding was provided. Halfway through our stay we had a cleaning team exchange all the towel and bedding and tidy up a bit, which was a nice reset. • The pool was sufficiently sized and was actually heated which allowed us to enjoy it although we were there in May. • Except for the two other Moonlight villas (which are however right next to each other) the accommodation is situated in a remote area, which allowed us to freely play music outside – even at night (at a reasonable volume) without disturbing any neighbours. • The villa is situated on a hill which makes for a wonderful view overlooking the green landscape and the sea peeking through. It’s around 20 min by foot to the town which can become a challenge when shopping groceries, but that problem can easily be avoided by renting a moped. For longer distances there is a bus station in town that will take you to the major surrounding cities like Chania or Retymno.

Great villa! we stayed there for 4 nights, 10 people. the villa was beautiful, just like the pictures. great equipments, many cooking tools. the villa was clean, the pool was great with many sun beds. great ACs in the rooms. in the floor down there are a lot of space- 2 bedrooms and few beds in the center. The owner is very nice and kind!

The location was perfect for us. Very quiet and calm. Need a car to get around. Rooms are really good-sized and cosy. Really enjoyed the pool and the local shops nearby. Beach is near and is sandy and very clean. We felt safe and relaxed at this villa.

The pool indeed was heated, it was 25C in October, so the pool was warmer than air most of the days. We enjoyed it very much. The villa has a lot of different equipment, feels like home. Kournas village itself is such lovely place. I loved the professionalism of villa’s owner and also Maria who was most helpful. The cleaning ladies and the handyman were super nice, too as actually all people we met during our trip to Crete. The villa is perfect if you need 3 bedrooms for your family but one bedroom seperate for your parents or other friend as this has its own entrance and own kitchen. The main kitchen also had dishwasher - such big advantage for me. All beds very comfy.

The view is absolutely amazing! The pool was great even for April. The house is great and spacious and very clean ( we stayed 4 adults and 2 children, grandparents stayed in the little apartment) The kitchen is well equipped. The house seemed newly renovated and in good condition. We loved the little village near by ( not for people with walking disability as it is very steep hills) and had dinner there several times and enjoyed the good local dishes. Supermarket is about 10 min by car. We went to lake Kournas 4 times. The lake can be reached in about 10 min by car. Great spaces by the lake for small children with little playgrounds at the tavernas. Host Maria is very sweet and helpful, and she was there to greet us when we arrived even though it was late at night, and it was a complete lifesaver that there was complimentary bread, juice and cheese in the fridge when we arrived. We had a wonderful holiday and hope we will return someday:-)

The property was clean and spacious. The pool was a good size and depth. I would recommend having a car if you are looking to stay here as it would be a long walk to a supermarket and such. The small town up the hill from the villa has a lovely taverna that I would recommend.

very good accommodation. The hostess Maria is very kind and friendly. Supermarkts, bakery, butcher and pharmacy are a few minutes away with a car. the swimming pool is clean and not cold. I highly recommend it.

Great space, pool was fantastic, much needed with super hot days, perfect to come back and relax by, beautiful views. Owners were lovely, very helpful, beautifully clean.

We travelled as a family of 5, (2 adults and 5 kids). There was plenty of room with an upstairs and downstairs lounge. The downstairs lounge with fridge and tea/coffee options led out to a shaded seating area outside and then the pool beyond. Also downstairs there was a bedroom with a double bed and a single with a bathroom with shower. The ground floor as you come through the front door has the kitchen and lounge area plus a huge balcony for outside eating overlooking the pool and fantastic views. Upstairs to the first floor was a bedroom with a bathroom, there was a double bed and single. Then up to the second floor up a steep staircase was another bedroom. The last two bedrooms sit outside the house next to the pool which both have double beds and ensuite bathrooms. My kids loved it here and spent most of the time in the huge pool which was heated and always warm! Location is very close to great restaurants, beaches and the most amazing lake with turtles!

We had a wonderful family vacation in the villa! We were a family of 10 (including 2 small children) and the rooms were more than enough for all of us. Maria welcomed us and explained everything about the property, it has almost everything you can think of (including a very well-equipped kitchen, with different kinds of coffee makers and even a popcorn machine!). The pool was amazing, and we had great fun sitting in the balcony and eating our meals together in the nice weather. The area is very quiet and peaceful at night, and the view of the sunset from the pool was incredible!

Fabulous large heated pool and a lovely view from the balcony. Quiet village location. Spotlessly clean, good facilities, cleaners came halfway through our stay and the host was very very helpful and communicative.

Everything you need to enjoy a family holiday. Well equipped. Especially handy to have a small kitchen on the pool level for the studios Especially as had a small baby.

amazing position, with stunning view of both sea and mountains. the house is fully equipped with anything you may need during your stay. the garden is nice, with a private pool under an olive tree, a bbq and table& chairs. plus, it’s a green building as electricity is provided by solar energy from photovoltaic panels on the roof! The host is extremely kind and helpful!

Ideal place for small families with young children. Our 2-year-old son had a lot of fun in the pool and in the garden with all the toys. Comfortable house with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was also nice to have good WiFi and 2 TVs in the house. Wonderful villa owners who were nearby, so friendly, prompt, and helpful with everything. We had a really lovely stay and want to come again!

The views from the property were amazing. Beautiful mountains all around and also a view of the sea. A very relaxing and quiet location. We enjoyed using the pool ( and it was a bonus having an outdoor shower under the olive tree). The hosts were friendly and kind and responded quickly to any queries. Although the villa was in a quiet and private location, it was only about ¾mile from the village which had a very good taverna, a supermarket, shops and cafés.

Lovely quiet location within walking distance (if you are fit enough to get up and down steep hills) of tavernas a shops. Small pool but great for cooling off in. Comfortable bed. Ok cooking facilities and good outside BBQ. Stunning views.

Everything was great! From the beginning everything was nicely explained, there was even someone there who could in german with us just in case anything would be unclear, very good service! Also, the location is fantastic, you really are in the mountains of Crete where it is very quiet but still the village is only a quick stroll away. During the stay we always felt very welcome and cared for. We even found some gifts for our kids which they were very happy about. :-) We would definitely recommend this and hope to come back at some time in the future.

The Villa was exactly as depicted and even nicer. Stefano was super helpful ahead of time answering our questions and letting us know where nearby supermarkets were in the neighborhood. He also made check-in and out very easy. The Villa and pool area is quiet and completely screened from view. The villa is near a small village with a taverna in walking distance and The closest super market is only 6 km away, and Georgioupolis is within a 15 min easy drive for shopping and good restaurants (also a beach). Other great beaches are within an hour or so drive. Everything was clean and neat with a super pool and outdoor grill. The décor was great and it has a nice kitchen. The location is also great with only about 1/2 hour travel to Chania or Rethymno, so it is a great central location for general site seeing. We were there in early September and the weather was great. If you have kids there are also swings and play set / pool toys for the kids.

We had two wonderful weeks in Stefanos nice house with pool and garden. We felt very comfortable in Villa Aloni, it is tastfully furnished in greek style, an we loved the pool and the large garden with oleanders and olive, lemon and pomegranate trees. It is all very child friendly. The stay here is highly recommended! Dorit

Authentic village home. Everything you need. The pool and garden are fantastic. Stefanos cool, helpful and engaging. And the short walk into the village to the excellent Maza taverna is a treat. Don't miss the astonishing small church in the village square.

Beautiful house and location could not be better - fantastic views, lovely pool, garden and barbecue, wonderful taverna in the village, short drive to fantastic beaches and freshwater lake. it was perfect in every way.

The property was clean, modern, with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Secluded enough for privacy and relaxation, but close enough to the village to enjoy a delicious meal.

The privacy and the nice little town it's situated in. Not far from beach at all.

Great accommodation, nice welcome pack of local products, 10 min walk to the nearest taverna. Comfortable bed.
