It's my ranking no. 1 hotel out of the whole island getaway trips in Thailand so far. Love the infinity pool, steps to the beach, the TV is clear, the wifi is fast, the room is bright, the food is really tasty (gotta try the chill beef burger). The down side is the beach is more of rocky type and be careful when u swim out without a wading shoes as my husband got stung by the sea urchin.

We stayed at The Chill for two weeks from January 27 till February 9, 2014. This was my second vacation on Koh Chang and based on my personal review of dozen of the island hotels, I think that The Chill is one of the best hotels on the island with its pros and cons. PROS: good location on the Kai Bae walking street with several minutes walk to various cafes, restaurants, shops, thai massage spots, etc. Hotel breakfast is certainly one of the pros! You can get your ala carta breakfast any time during the day up till 10:00 pm, and food selection and quality is very good including european and thai cuisine. In general The Chill restaurant is very good, the best food we had on the island. The room was cosy and nice, we had pool access room. The only concern is that the water in the swimming pool is cold and we preferred to swim in the sea rather then in the swimming pool. The beach is nice with sandy coast, however at the second part of the day water goes away and it's not very deep water. In general the beach and entrance to the sea is ok, but not perfect. Beach facilities are good. Also hotel provided cold water and fresh fruits to guests resting on the beach and near the swimming pool during the day, which was very nice. Rooms are provided with towels, bathrobes, flip-flops and beach bag, umbrellas. Also there is an aroma lamp in the room with the candle and aroma oil turned on every evening by the staff. Rooms are provided with four bottles of water daily.

We can't fault this hotel. The setting is wonderful, with a long stretch of crystal clear pools down towards the quiet beach and the main infinity pool. As the hotel is small, it literally does have that 'chilled' feeling throughout. The room was spacious - we stayed in a Splash Pool Access room it was lovely to be able to lie on the double bed on the veranda sipping ice cold beers. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and every thing worked! One of the nice things about this hotel is the thought that they put into the small things; one example is that each guest receives a complimentary breakfast per night of their stay - however, you don't have to race to breakfast before 10:00, instead you can enjoy the extensive a la carte breakfast menu at any stage of the day providing that the kitchen is still open. The staff in reception and in the Chill Café can't do enough for you, from running to the local currency exchange to change money for you, to even giving you a lift to your next hotel on the island. We even received a voucher for a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay, which we didn't use, when I handed the voucher back in on check out, they looked slightly shocked and insisted that we choose from their selection before whisking my partner away to pick up an ice cold bottle to enjoy at our next resort. This hotel is worth every penny, and we will, without doubt be returning.

sleeping in the jungle with nice private pool was incredible. everyone should try it at least once!

The location was stunning set amongst jungle and inland waters, saw a giant hornbill, monkeys and butterflies. Great room with plunge pool.

We booked villa with private pool for two nights and it was not enough. Yes, the location of the hotel is apart of everything that is going on on the island but we spent few days first in Kai Bae - so it was a perfect way to end our holiday. The villa was so spacious, got everything we needed and the design was amazing. We really enjoyed the peacefullness of the place. A big plus is free kayak and bike station.

The Villa is designed in a way that all bedrooms can be accessed separately so if three families using they have their own access. Pros: Easily reached after leaving the ferry Nice villa with a good sized pool and good depth. Good kitchen fully fitted Patio and also upstairs patio Village very well managed Lovely beach and a couple of very nice restaurants Club house also has a very nice pool Cons: Electric not included and charged @ 5baht per unit 15,000 baht deposit requested on arrival Property very hot and no fans we requested to the agent and got one No toiletries included (soap/shampoo) we needed to go shopping on arrival There is a free shuttle bus but own transport more convenient Bad wifi can only use ground floor

Private villa within a resort so absolutely perfect. We had our own space when needed but with the benefit of facilities, restaurants, pools when desired. The villa host was amazing and very accommodating to all requests! We would highly recommend a stay here. The service we received was fantastic. Close to the tiny and close approximately to different beaches and activities. A free shuttle service to the town and the supermarkets.

The location very good facilities inside the villa 100% good 👍 the service by the staff was amazing and helpful. We met the owner Mr. Mike very nice guy. I recommend 100% on this location in Villa of Mr. Mike. We forgot one of our bags in the villa we call to Mr. Mike and straight send stuff to the ferry to bring us back our bag. I’m highly recommending about this place and I will definitely come back to visit ❤️🙏

The villa is amazing, the view from the terrace to the garden and beach are better in reality than in the photos. We were amazed, it was paradise. Very comfortable, the villa has everything you need for a long stay (we were here for a week with small children), the staff were very friendly and the manager has booked everything we needed for us (motorcycle and car rental, massages and airport transportation). The villa is part of a resort which has a lovely swimming pool, restaurant and bar. It was beautiful, I hope we can come back some day, I totally recommend it.

Family of five had a wonderful stay at this superb villa on this quiet development with pool and garden leading to private beach. Resort was very quiet when we went (late August) so we had the run of the place. Fun 9 hole 'pitch and putt' golf course and easy access to most of the island.

Room with a Pool: Definitely recommend this room 803! great little pool, very Private!. Super room, clean and well equipped! enjoyed the stay here very much. If i were to make suggestions: add a desk for working if needed, plus perhaps a dining / bistro table on the patio by the private pool. Breakfast: Nice Ambiance, Could really have more options for vegetarians, They add pork and egg to a lot of dishes that would be super without even for meat eaters! overall it is very tasty and clean and they have a cook to make you eggs any way you wish! great view as you eat breakfast over the sea! Beach: Nice and quaint, Private feel , No sellers and not busy, shade if you want over all super close to the room.

Loved our stay here! The views from the infinity pool at the top are amazing and it was always super quiet up there. The main pool and our private pool were spotlessly clean, the towels + sheets were clean and seemed new. The beachfront is private and beautiful with a couple of quiet bars down the beach for a sunset beer. The room was huge, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was lovely and the staff made up the room every day with such care. It's right across from the busy and loud walking street (which is mainly just late night bars) but we couldn't hear any music from the room even on the weekend.

Stayed here with husband and friends over Christmas. We had a delux room with our own pool near the infinity pool which hosts amazing views! Needs work around the pool and around the hotel in general as some parts look a bit tired. No complaints with our room though. Our friends booked the garden view, and the room was a little ropey! Smelt a bit like rust. Nice breakfast though and staff friendly.

Please check out our other reviews to see we always leave an honest opinion. Upon arrival we were asked to wait approx five mins. No issues. Staff were very friendly. We then got taken to our room which was a superior ocean view. As we got to the room the staff were there to greet us with a birthday cake and singing happy birthday to our aunt which was amazing. The room is a little dated but the views were spectacular!! Rooms were cleaned everyday and the bed - oh the bed !! It was the most comfortable cosy bed we have ever slept in. I’m not joking !!! I don’t know what mattress it was but wow !!! Never slept like that anywhere on hols. There are wild monkeys running around so you have to take care in case ur carrying food etc but again this added to the rustic charm of the hotel. Pool area is beautiful but could do with a little tlc but absolutely fit for purpose. I mean maybe new umbrellas cutting back some bushes etc. there is also a few steps to the pool but the views you get are amazing. breakfast was good with enough choice. Nobly thing I would perhaps suggest is to ask for teabags as the tea they make is quite weak, but still tasted good. On the whole the hotel is a little dated and could do with a little tlc as you can really see how amazing this hotel would be. But, the staff were exceptional, and rug was charm of the hotel more than compensated. Would we stay again ? Most definitely

I don’t understand the poor reviews of this resort. The complaints about the rooms on the other side of the road are just silly. It is made clear they are on the other side, and they are cheaper. It’s perfect if you have teenagers with you, they stay the other side and then come and join you for breakfast. I was in a poolside room which was very nice. The beach is obey wth Pete of beds. Advthe infinity pool is very, athugh qute a wa up. Rob London

From the minute you walk in you are greeted with smiles and a feeling of finding paradise. Kata, the manager, is an exceptional manager and this is reflected in his attentive and professional staff. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it back with me ( unfortunately it was much too big or else I would have happily paid). Everything was tidy in the room and was spotless. The fridge was big enough to accommodate odds and ends we bought to keep cold. The satellite TV was dependable as was the Wi-Fi throughout our stay. The seating area accommodated us for breakfast and dinner and the menu had an enticing selection of food to choose from. The breakfasts were served at your table, which we liked rather than the usual buffet most places offer. The pool was clean and the sea was so clear you could see little fish as you swam in the warm inviting water. Lounges and towels were easy to obtain as it’s not a massive corporate hotel group- in essence, it caters for people who want to relax and rejoice in having found this gem. Kata kindly arranged day trips, boat trips as well as arranging transfers and taxis. Nothing was too much trouble and I cannot wait to return to Little Sunshine in the very near future.

Had an incredible stay at the unique location that the Little Sunshine is. It is perfectly located in the north meaning you are located in a quieter area of the island but do have the option to go east and west really easily. The setting and the views from the room and the restaurant are paradise like. The staff is so kind, attentive and will do everything to make you feel at home. Also really nice to be able to use the standup paddle boards or the kayaks, as we used those for our daily workout. Moreover, the pool is also a welcome facility as it is a bit cooler than the ocean :). Would definitely come back to this resort

The place was terrific. We had The house with swimming pool and mountainview wich was really incredible. Our OWN Little Paradise in Little Sunshine. The people were Great , friendly and more then helpfull in any way. Breakfast was included and every morning it was happy waking up therefore. We had a wonderful stay at Little Sunshine. This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation. It was very easy to enjoy much of the beach to ourselves. Everything we needed to unwind for the week was right there - the beach, a pool, and a restaurant (including cocktails). Though we did not pursue this, motorbike and kayak rental were available. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

The villa was very comfortable and we enjoyed the stay very much. Big pluses were private pool, twi bedrooms with it's own balconies and big shower with hot water.

The villa is wonderful! If compared with the average houses at Ko-Chang it looks very modern and well-done. The only things I miss are the clothes washing machine and the dishwasher. The rooms are very comfy and spacious, every room has its own AC and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. The beds also are very comfy, that's quite unusual in such villas. The dining room is also good. I was wondered by the presence of modern big good TV with smart features like youtube because usually pretty much every hotel/villa has very ancient TVs which are almost unusable in the modern world. The kitchen is quite good, it has all the utensils for a small company of people, but if you want to cook for a big party the pans and pots wouldn't be enough size, but it's not very expensive to buy the ones with the necessary size in Big C supermarket located within 200m. There's a water cooler with drinking water so you don't need to buy bottled water. The garden has a couple of tables and sofas enough to place a quite big company of people if you want to invite some guests. The pool is very clear and looks amazing with underwater lighting. Dave could also provide a grill for you on demand. The cleaning service comes every 2-3 days and does its job very well. I want to say thanks a lot to Dave and his son Kew for their hospitality and for helping me with different things while I was living in the villa!

This Private pool villa was lovely , big enough for the family and kids .Private and quiet. We all loved it..

If you want to have your own home on the beach with an amazing pool and green garden, book this place! You will be accompanied by dozens of cute geckos and dragonflies. The house has two king-size bedrooms and a room for kids on the second floor with two beds. There are two restrooms. There's also a washing machine in the garage. The living room has a smart TV, and internet connection is really fast. There is everything you might need for a holiday, including a gas stove, all kitchen utensils, and other things. The owner is incredibly welcoming, and you won't be disturbed during your holiday.

I would like to recommend this amazing villa. We were absolutely happy to stay in such a beautiful place. I would like to thank Jum - Administrator for her hospitality and provide all the staff we needed. Electricity and cleaning were included in the price. Have parking. Have everything in the kitchen - kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, steamer, blender. Have even bbq zone. Big pool. Laundress zone in the garage. It was the best vacation ever.

Spacious, clean accomodation with the bonus of a good size (and depth) private pool. Well equipped villa. Resort was beautiful with some good places to eat and a large swimming pool. Staff were very helpful and booked us a golf buggy to the nearest 7-11 (100 baht each way). Beach areas were clean and pretty. Kayaking was fun. Air-conditioning worked well and property was light with nice views. Rooms were all large with lots of storage.

Honestly, this is the best place in Koh Chang, calm, clean, best beach, lovely villas, amazing pools, bars, great restaurant. You can rent cayak... Not far from Ferry. You need car or bike to go shopping but it is closed community and we had AMAZING TIME here.

Excellent location - great beach, guarded community, responsive service - they helped us rent 2 new bikes with pretty small deposit and those bikes were transported directly to our place - that's super cool! Great place with awesome pool.

Lovely family friendly location on the quieter side of Koh Chang. The house has a nice pool which was great to jump into and relax in the evening.

Mrs Vie, who runs the place like clockwork, is such a hard working lady, who is super responsive, friendly and helpful. She arranged scooters for us, fixed a problem with the door and safe, and booked us a local taxi. The rooms were cleaned regularly, sheets and bedding good quality, and the bed was very comfortable and wide. Shower and bathroom spacious, clean and everything worked. Our room was 2 mins from the beach, which was picture perfect. Like paradise. Food in restaurant was great quality and staff there were so lovely. Pool was great for swimming lengths, and clean - right beside the beach too.

This place was absolutely terrific - it is a very large and clean 4-bedroom villa and your back-yard is a beautiful beach looking at the sun as it sets. Our kids absolutely loved it and made a lot of friends with the neighbours' kids both on the beach and at the pool. It was great to be at a very quiet but stunning beach location. We would definitely stay there again without question.

The staff that received us was very friendly. The room is on the beach, just facing the driveway side. The resort is beautiful and very safe. The free pool at the neighboring resort was nice to use. Restaurants nearby for dinner, if you don't want to drive to town. The bed was super comfortable.

A beautiful villa perfectly situated with easy access to an incredible beach and restaurant. The swimming pool was fun for the kids, and the views of the lake and golf course and hills were so beautiful. The villa had all the space and facilities that we needed. would love to stay there again.

This Villa was so much better than we expected! The bay and beach were lovely and not busy at all. We were able to use the huge resort swimming pool and ate at the beach bar, which was reasonable but slow service. Much better is the local seafood restaurant Mootees- so cheap and good! We also played the small golf course, and rented scooters to get to the shops and explore. Overall a good experience.

The villa is very spacious and clean. Everything is new, clean, and tidy. I felt like I was at home. Car and motorbike rentals are available. There is a beautiful white sand beach. The place is quiet and tidy. The staff are great. The security guards do a great job and are attentive to everyone who comes in and out.

This villa was absolutely stunning, and the pool was the cherry on top! I had an amazing time staying here.

I stayed here for 15 days, it was just lovely. I especially liked the outdoor area which was very good with a large seating area and a lovely pool. I will probably be back soon.🤩😃

Cleaning of garbage on the beach was done daily as well as regular garbage disposal from the villa itself. Lots of equipment in the villa's kitchen and we did quite a bit of cooking so that was great. They even had coffee filters for making drip coffee!

As we we had a bit of constructions going on around this villa at the time, the owner immediately offered us another one which completely fulfilled our expectations and beyond. Although this change had to be handled in a short time it was perfectly arranged by the management around Dan and the responsibles for housekeeping. We could also rent a scooter via them which was directly delivered and picked up at the accommodation. Thank you very much and we will definitely return.

The staff and facilities are great. Overall, the entire resort is clean, and the location is perfect. We stayed in a family pool villa, and the rooms are super spacious and clean. We were amazed by the size of the private pool, which is bigger than other places we have been to. Breakfast selection has many options. The water park across the hotel is well organised and very pleasant.

Great hotel. We had a house with a private pool with access to the beach. Great view. The bed is huge, good mattress. The pillows were soft, but we asked and they replaced them with soft ones. The weather was cloudy and the sea was stormy, but that's good, it wasn't hot) The breakfast is excellent, varied. Near the hotel there are restaurants, a pharmacy, 7/11, Lotus. There were few people in the hotel and we were alone in the water park, we really liked it.

We spent four nights, family couple + 3 (15, 12, 4), in two rooms, one room a villa with a pool and another regular room. was great! The villa with a stunning pool, includes a private pool, jacuzzi, sunbeds in a private complex. In the room there is a huge double bed, a sofa that can be used as a bed for a small child. Outstanding design, fully equipped. Excellent service - I was particularly impressed by the maintenance of the pools: every day a maintenance person comes, checks the level of chlorine in the water, cleans the pool, etc. A private beach for the hotel, a fire show and singing every evening, the breakfast is excellent - varied and rich. The hotel has its own water park, which includes 5 great water slides. The location is excellent, outside the hotel there are several good businesses: restaurants, 7/11, supermarket, book, spa and more...

Our pool villa was pretty amazing with a really private feeling. Bed was on the harder side and the AC was blowing right on it. Very comfortable sun beds right at your own pool area. The beach right in front of the pool villas is also very quiet and private compared to the beach bungalow side where we stayed later, we much more preferred this area. Breakfast was also very nice with many options for everyone and the restaurant/bar on beach had good dinner options. Lots of shops & restaurants within short walking distance. Well equipped gym on site as well and all the staff was friendly and welcoming!

Nytt och fräscht. Dock var sängen den hårdaste jag någonsin sovit i! Personalen vid pool restaurangen hade ingen riktig koll men alla som jobbar på hotellet är super trevliga!! Bra frukost och bra pool för barnen. Nära huvudgatan med många restauranger. Wifi var nog den bästa vi upplevt i Thailand någonsin och balkongen med havsutsikt och sköna möbler var perfekt!

Super ressort for the price. The staff will literally bend over backwards to accomodate you. Whilst not overly luxurious, the room we had on the third floor was very nice, spacious and comfortable. This is a resort which also caters to families, and the pool area can be a little "lively" at times, but then the beach is literally only meters away. Throughout our stay, young elephants from the local "school" came to the resort beach several times daily, where they would swim with the tourists.. Good fun to watch and again, great for kids. The breakfast buffet was ample and kept well stocked throughout. A few minutes walk up to the throughgoing street, and you'll find plenty of shopping (local goods) and also a number of good eats to choose from. A super holiday at a good location.. If we go back to Koh Chang, this is where we will stay.

Över förväntan är den enkla recensionen. Trevlig personal, bra rent rum i egen liten hydda/hus med AC. Så lugnt och tyst med andra ord. Verkar vara nyligen renoverat då receptionen ser helt ny ut. Allt är snyggt, dagligt underhåll på allt runt omkring. Resorten ligger i stort sett direkt på stranden. Alternativt så finns pool med vattenrutschbana. Fem minuters promenad upp till gatan med all shopping och restauranger. För det priset jag fick så är det mer än prisvärt. Skulle inte ha några problem att komma tillbaka hit. Restaurangen på resorten är helt okej, nyttjade den inte så mycket.

Almost everything about our stay was perfect. The beach is fabulous, staff excellent, pool was fun with the slippery dip and the room was impressive. My only down side is the wifi. It is real bad. Very poor throughput which they really need to fix (it has nothing to do with signal which was very good).

We had previously stayed on White sand beach and wanted to come back to the KC Grande as it looked fantastic, and it didn't disappoint. The property has a beach front pool with a swim up bar, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and 2 delicious restaraunts. We made the most of the free breakfast every morning and loved being so close to the sea. Our rooms were very large and comfortable and spotlessly clean every day, with a lovely balcony. The value for money for a 5 star hotel in that location is unbelievable. We had a brilliant time here and would love to come back again.

One of the best hotels on Koh Chang. Everything new and perfect. The breakfast could be slightly better and the last hour they not adding anything, so they just have empty plates there for long time...not too good to have it this way.. but I don’t care much.. the rooms are perfect, the pool is amaising, it all looks like a little paradise there.. everything is eco-wood stile.. nicely done. and I know what I am talking about. I stayed in 4 different 4 stars hotels in Koh Chang and I work as a real estate agent. I know how and what should it look like and not just telling it’s good because I had a good time there.. it is good compare to other hotels in the same price range and definitely worth it if you thinking between this one or to save like $20-30 per night and go with a little cheaper option because you found also 4 stars and also looks okey.. my opinion - don’t be cheap.. worth it. Good hotel.

Fantastic resort. Very authentic and comfortable. Beautiful pools and restaurants on the beach. My place opened up to the beach. Bungalow is spacious, clean and just lovely. The grounds are beautiful. Did I say that you can get an amazing 2 hour massage on the beach for about $30. Included breakfast was amazing. There are fancier places around but none that are uniquely Thai with all the western comforts. I would definitely stay here again without question.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable beds.Small wardrobe space I had to use kitchen units to put clothes in as limited space for two people for two weeks.Nice views from room and large balcony.The two swimming pools are nice and the top one quiet in the day but gets noisy with children.Food is excellent and plenty of it and breakfasts were lovely and large selection of Thai and western.More rubbish bins in public areas around pools and sunbathing areas as rubbish gets left around and not cleared up very often.It would be nice to have waiters checking to see if guests would like food or drink as youhave to go and get everything with staff not visible.The hotel shuttle could run more often and do return trips it wouldn't take a lot of effort,when you take the shuttle it skyways has staff in the back with pikes of dirty laundry which they stop into town with the guests not really appropriate.The gardens and Hydroponic nursery are lovely and well maintained and friendly staff.Although it's screened off there us building work going on and can be quite noisy during the day as near to sunbathing area.The beach is a tiny ledge and when the tide is in it doesn't exist only when out.Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel grew on us and would be much better adults only.

... it is about SEA VIEW ... is surprisingly big in itself and offers tropical feeling, as well as natural jungle scenery. Where one got a good chance to bump into monkeys. Built into a cliff, most of the rooms offer beach or ocean view. The older cottages are getting re-placed, the newer ones are located on the beach. We had rooms in "Deluxe Room 4" building, where you can walk straight to the pool from the ground floor and impressive sea view from the rooms - be it from balcony, shower or bathroom (Grand Deluxe Room). Food in the restaurants is of very good quality, the breakfast buffet offers a wide choice one rarely finds in a place like this. The cable car is a great idea to connect low and high part of the resort. It is particularly busy in the morning (as breakfast is served uphill in the Lighthouse restaurant on top of building "Deluxe Room 3" and offers a nice view as well. The resort it self is located between two main beaches and offers regular oneway shuttle service to another beach. Despite efforts making the resort wheelchair accessible, when booking one needs to keep in mind quite steep parts need to be managed. Elderly guests might struggle with the humid jungle climate already. The need to do one or the other walk might stretch their physical condition to the limit.

The hotel was so so so cool. We opted for the pano room and don't regret and and will book that one again on our next trip. Be vigilant about your balcony doors though or the monkeys will defo pop in and help themselves to your bananas! The sea is amazing, it did make me sad when we kayaked to see all the coral was dead or mostly dead - probably from global warming and over tourism - poor ocean! But the resort was lovely, the breakfast was massive with tons of options. Food is nice - the spicy options are defo tourist spicy - I had to ask for more chilies. The service is so hospitable and yeah - it was perfect. My only complaint is the price of the spa - I know it's a resort and it will be more expensive for a massage - but it is soooooo expensive at 1,400 baht. We would defo come back here though, was amazing. We were here during the start of rain season and it was perfectly quiet - I am sure at high season it is a bit more lively, but we preferred it quiet ! Oh yeah - the pools - both were so good and clean!

My family and i have a very enjoyable stay here. Pros: Private Beach, The views, The resorts grounds are very well maintained, The staff, Breakfast (just don't go expecting a Full English for any Brits reading) Acceptable wifi almost all over the resort including the beach Cons: Rooms are a little dated as is the resort in general. Nothing else nearby or even a reasonable walking distance We loved the resort as it was great for walking around with my little girl, the beach was the cleanest I've seen in Thailand and the water was fantastic, good swimming pools too. You will need transport to get around we had our own car so not a issue but if you do not have some you could become a little isolated

Yes this place has numerous things wrong with it. From having multiple light switches that did nothing and only one power outlet for a king bed. The place needs renovation full stop. But we understand they are probably starting over after COVID. And if they renovated we would not have secured the private pool villa at the price we did. The pool and view are amazing, as is the beach. Great getaway. A word of warning about the beds....Thai-style very hard. They provided a topper after requesting (3 thin duvets). Overall enjoyed.

If you want a place were you wake up and want to swin in the sea, then this is the place. If you want a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and just chill, this is the place. Booked the room with the plunge pool, thought first day I'd probably not use it. But when you get back to the room after a hot night out. It was the right choice. The breakfast isn't flash, but eating next to the sea is, so that makes the breakfast awesome. Staff are friendly and have the best job in the world. There's no frills, just an awesome place to stay.

I guess we got renovated room (duplex), our friend booked room with private pool and it definitely needed sone paint on the walls. Best location on lonely beach, where you can see beatiful sunset also. Bar on the beach for some nice cocktails (180BHT). We only saw few monkeys on our 6 days stay so it wasn't a big problem.

Also paddle boarding and of course nearby diving centre bb divers Would like to point out minuses -breakfast very simple, not enough option for foreigners - its not new resort so dont expect luxury but its great anyway - restaurant was ok but again not enoguh options for foreginers, coctails not very good- dont recomend buying, also cant serve drinks and food around pool -not enough pool beds and no tables around pool Overall you will have amazing time and will leave happily. Looking forward to come back

Before we arrived we were uncertain because of partly not so good ratings. But: when you don’t expect a 5-Star-Resort, it is wonderful. Location is so fantastic, a silent bay with sandy beach. Not crowded, although it was Chrismas/New year. The people here are great. We loved especially Pam at reception, who helped us whenever we needed. She organized everything with her kindly manner. Also the manager is always there to help. When we had any wish/ problem, everybody helped. Okey, some villas have experienced somewhat better times, but are very nice situated on a hill. Preferable take a villa down at the sea. Cleaned every day as well as towels/beach towels. Breakfast is very good- muesli‘s, fruits, eggs are prepared in different styles, some Thai food... Large menu at lunch and in the evening. Tremendous sun sets. One pool near the restaurant, another very beautiful pool little bit up the hill- cold fresh water- and almost nobody there. I loved it so much!

Beautiful resort with a private beach, good restaurant, and friendly staff. I got a great off-peak discount and stayed in one of the bungalows on the hill overlooking the sea - the view was amazing, and the room was spacious. One of the pools was being cleaned but it was no problem as I spent time in the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The water is calm and clear and you can swim far out in the bay; you can also rent kayaks and row out to the island across the bay. The whole experience was beautiful and relaxing!

Great stay with an amazing staff and a beautiful hotel. It had two pools that were nice, a great restaurant that wasn't overly expensive (and had delicious pizza), and a beautiful beach right in front of the bungalows. The only small downside was it was a bit secluded, but if you like more quiet areas then you would love it here.

Hôtel charmant, de plain pied sur un jardin et une grande piscine. Chambres très spacieuses. La gérante parle un peu anglais. Organisation d'activités sur demande avec de bons prix. Pas de connexion wifi la plupart du temps, même à l'accueil. Les chambres les plus éloignées ne captent pas du tout. Pas de spa ni massage, ni de navette gratuite pour la plage comme indiqué sur le site web. Néanmoins cela reste une excellente adresse. C'est un emplacement idéal pour l'accès à une des plages les plus tranquilles de l'ile.

The hotel is absolute heaven. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and every detail is great. The breakfast had a great selection and the other dining and drink options throughout the hotel were spot on. We had a pool access room and glad we upgraded to this. It was nice for a dip in the morning and at night. I have probably forgetting everything I want to say but 100/10.

This is a great hotel, with nice beach access and shaded areas by the pool and beach. There was no shortage of beach beds and plenty of shade for all guests. Pool is really large, and some small pools for children also. Rooms are maybe a bit dated, but room size, beds, furniture has excellent quality. Perfect setting for calm relaxation.

We stayed three nights here at the end of July 2022. We were very happy with the room provided. I didn't want a pool facing room because I wasn't sure how disruptive it may be at night. We had a corner room so there was plenty of light in the daytime and the balcony was most welcome. The hotel pool was immense and Thai sunsets didn't disappoint. There was a good choice of Thai and foreign food available from the bar and the selection at breakfast would also suite both local and foreign guests.

Great hotel with fantastic grounds, large pool suitable for swim training, smaller pools for kids. Nice shady areas by the beach, easy walking distance to a few adjacent beach restaurants. Fantastic breakfast and really large size rooms.

I totally loved : - the warm welcome - the staff - the location - the environment (uphill in the jungle, so not noisy as it can be at other places in Lonely beach area) - the atmosphere - the cats - the pool - the pool parties - the bungalow - the bathroom of my bungalow (open air) - the fact I could extend my stay without hassle (not like some other places in the area that pretend they do some overbookings) Da and the all staff help you with all your needs and I can for sure tell you I had a few (traveling with a broken collarbone) Thank you so much for the wonderful stay.

The pool, staff and food and jungle were amazing. It was beautiful. The place is just idilic, we had a standard bungalow as the superior were already booked but it was perfectly fine, if anything a tiny bit small as we were on a months honeymoon so had lots of luggage so didn’t have space to unpack etc but not a problem. The pool area is beautiful, the food was brilliant and the staff attentive whenever we needed them without being overbearing. The pet dogs were lovely and made the trip special for us also.

We often swam in the pool in the evening after dinner. The hotel provides towels for both the beach and pool. Great location on a quiet street directly on Kai Bae Beach. It’s within walking distance to 7-Eleven, restaurants, shops, etc. We rented a scooter so we could visit other parts of Koh Chang. Breakfast buffet with both Thai and western dishes.

Quite out of the way, so very quiet. There were evenings where I sat in the infinity pool, looking out to sea, and all I could hear were the waves. The infinity pool was absolutely brilliant. Rooms were big and clean, with a nice balcony. The beach is just outside the hotel and was very clean and faced the sunset. Great place for a retreat from things.

We randomly chose this place from several others we had shortlisted as possibilities, so,so glad we did. Loved 😍 this place. Extended our stay and considering going back. It was super clean and quiet. ...and the pool..so awesome yet never busy likely due to the great beach basically at your doorstep. Ample lounge chairs and seating. Full on breakfast, no chance of going hungry. Close to walk to restaurants and sunset bars . Definitely in my top 10 of places I have stayed in multiple countries over the last 25 years. Staff were great as well. Elephants on the beach some afternoons, lots of watersport equipment available near by too.

The room+balcony are very clean. We can see the sunset and panorama view from the room or rooftop swimming pool or beach chair. The place is calm and quiet, very relaxing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also very good. The location is a bit private but easy to have food and get to 7-11. Parking car and motorbike are available and safe. Thank you for making my perfect holiday. (Some rooms are access by stairs. The room detail has shown this info. But stairs are no problem for us).

An amazing place recommended to us by travellers we met in Bangkok. The beachfront is one of the best I've seen and the infinity pool was lovely. The hotel is a little older than some but the location is stunning and the room was huge and comfortable. Enormous bed. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Reception person was kind and welcoming. Staff efficient and kind. Lots of free parking. Glorious sunsets.

Also the pool is amazing and the common area is very big. I stayed here 3 nights but I would have liked to stay longer. Unfortunately everything was fully booked so if you want to book here, do it for more days because you will definitely want to stay longer. In addition to the pool, beach and many activities, this hostel offers the best breakfast buffet in Thailand, with fluffy pancakes and waffles, home made jams and peanut butter, fresh fruit and much more. Also in the evening you can have a beer or wine and relax by the pool or take part in a karaoke or a pub quiz 😁 And don't forget to rent a SUP board to enjoy the crystal clear water during the day or the spectacular sunset.

We stayed at pajamas for 5 Nights and highly recommend this Beautiful Hotel/Hostel. We got an Upgrade to a poolside room. Room was clean and Beautiful. The staff is really friendly and always there for you. The Pool is great and of you want to, you can easy connect to Other guests at the dining/Pool area. Nothing bad to say.

Since the very first moment you enter there, staff take care of you, always smiling and helpful. The beds are comfy, clean and net. Bathrooms are cleaned frequently. Facilities are impressive: Big pool, sofas to chill, tables where you can spot people working, pool to play, datboard.... Breakfast is at the restaurant next door for free. Access to the beach just walking a minute behind the hostel. I recommend this hostel as one of the best: location on the best beach of the island, without walking distance to restaurants and staff, plus there’s a lovely cat and a dog living there😍

We booked a riom that overlooked the pool. It was large, spacious, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet given that it was by the pool and the hotel is also a hostel. There are some karaoke and party nights but they end pretty early so did not bother us at all. In fact it adds to the atmosphere! The beach is a few minutes walk away and was not busy and very clean. The staff at the hotel are lovely ! Very helpful and always on hand for tips and local advice. We rented motorcycles across the street and did plenty of exploring 😊

Originally booked for 4 nights but stayed for 10! Great hostel, very clean and lots of fun activities organised by the hostel to get involved with e.g. boat party, movie nights with homemade popcorn, bar crawl. The pool table, pool and assortment of games available are a great alternative. I'll definitely stay in the pajamas if I'm ever back in Koh Chang. The staff are very friendly too, special shout out to Nelly who made everyone feel welcome and made it easier to connect with other guests.

The authentic setting was unique, and the cool indoor pool was a life saver after moving around all day in the heat. The canoe was awesome to take out in the morning and watch all the birds and fish. Cat was super cute and playful. They also helped us book a fabulous snorkeling trip.

I loved the resort the minute I walked in. The location is beautiful. It is a 5 minute kayak ride and a 5 minute walk to a beautiful long beach. The resort is on a river. It is so peaceful and near to town and many restaurants. The river was perfect to swim in with lovely views. Quiet deck with stunning views of the river. The room was amazing, big, well designed, private, and so comfortable. The resort was very peaceful, with the small gardens and nature surrounding the resort. The staff made me feel at home. They were so kind and genuine. The menu was limited as you would expect at a small resort. The quality of the food was excellent. It was OK for me.it was convenient if I wanted to eat the resort. There are many great local restaurants that you can walk to from the resort. A few of them were directly on the ocean. It was a great value for the price. It was so nice I changed my stay at another resort from two weeks to one week to spend another week at Water Colours. I rarely give a 10 for a review. I could not find one thing I did not like. When I visit Koh Chang, I will stay at Water Colours.

We loved this place very much; such a hidden gem! It has a unique secluded location in a mangrove forest, on the edge of a river, close to the sea/beach. Although we had seen the location on the map, it was still surprising. (Note it is quite close to other resorts, but you do not notice they are there). This boutique resort has only 5 rooms along a corridor with plants and birds. The rooms are spacious, very beautiful, each in different vibrant colours, with lots of attention for detail. The terrace on the river looks out on the restaurants and resorts on the other side. Both in the day and in the evening it is very pictoresk. The place is amazingly peaceful and quiet. One could just delve into their well filled book case and read or just meditate. The canoes can be freely used to explore the river and the beach nearby. Yusuf and Khun May are incredibly nice and took good care of us. There was a great choice of breakfast options (not included in the room rate), and there are several restaurant options near by on the beach, river, and in the village. Just this: it is very quiet in the evenings, so this may not be for some of you!

I can’t say enough good about our fabulous time at Watercolours. The peaceful location right on a river and also just five minutes from the ocean is ideal. The welcoming deck is full of plants and flowers. The ambiance is magical. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated, and clean with enough space for big beds as well as a couch. The staff aimed to please. They help with everything from providing breakfast and lunch to booking tours to helping set up their free kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. The owner was so kind. When we said the bed for our daughter was too hard, he bought a mattress topper the next day. He doesn’t skimp on anything. Even the shampoo and conditioner are good quality. We loved it and will return.

This is a great little resort right on the waterfront - only 5 minutes walk to a handful of shops/restaurants and around 15 mins walk to Lonely Beach. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and happily helped with extra arrangements such as onward songtaews etc. The pool and beach cabanas are just as beautiful as you see in the photos. We had breakfast which was affordable yet very delicious and presented as you would find in a 5 star resort. The rooms were basic (fan only) but comfortable and clean and very quiet. No bugs, lizards or mosquitos to contend with. This property was the best value for money we experienced on our trip through SEA - especially considering the sea-facing location and the pool and beachfront cabanas. We will stay for longer next time!

Nice and clean small resort at a very good location. Staff was really polite and respectful. The room was clean with warm water and good pressure. The only thing we were missing during our stay was that the rooms do not have a fridge, so we couldn't keep our drinks cold and also the balcony was missing a table. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained and the pool area is perfect for all-day relaxing 😎 Restaurant food is really good and affordable, as well as the drinks. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back.

The location on the lagoon, yet just a short walk to the beach was excellent. The pool was a massive bonus too. Friendly staff and a good breakfast at the restaurant on stilts on the lagoon. Plenty of other restaurants and bars nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The owner/manager, Eu (unsure of spelling), is a wonderful host , very professional , highly attentive . I loved the "no shoe inside" policy. Respectful to a living space, making it a home. The surrounding areas are so beautiful and peaceful. The evenings are quiet, nothing but the sound of nature. The property is well positioned with only a few minutes walk to anything of interest, including the day and night markets. The staff are equally wonderful girls. Eu also organised my transfer to the ferry terminal and ticket to the islands. I highly recommend you choose this place for your next stay.

Wir hatten nur eine Übernachtung in dem wirklich sehr ruhig, aber zentral gelegenen netten Hotel. Das Zimmer in der oberen Etage war hell und geräumig. Die Lage am Fluss war besonders frühmorgens bei Sonnenaufgang etwas ganz Besonderes. Trotz Fluss gab es keine Mosqitos und wir konnten gut auf unserem schönen Balkon die friedliche Atmosphäre genießen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit des Teams. Das Frühstück war einfach, der Kaffee leider nicht gut (stark gesüßter Nescafe). Das Hotel hat die Abholung mit nettem Fahrer vom Flughafen Trat organisiert. Es hat rundum alles gepasst und wir kommen gerne für einen weiteren Zwischenstopp wieder.

A little sanctuary in Trat! We were so impressed with the staff. They arranged airport pickup, as well as a shuttle to the pier and a speedboat to Kho Kut the next day. The manager was very friendly, kind, and accommodating. Our three-person room overlooked the beautiful river and had a lovely balcony. The room was very clean and the location was excellent - not too far walk from the night markets. Fast wifi too! The price is unbeatable for the value. We absolutely loved our stay at BaanRimNam and will definitely be back!

The owner was helping with every question and helping us to book a taxi from the airport and to Trat boat, she even booked our ferry for us. We got a shared cab and it was cheaper. Very honest lady. Spiritless and cleans and well run. Perfect! We would stay again. Charming little Thai town. Had Thai boxing at the town festival whilst there. Great impromptu evening on a stop over. River outside our room, table and chairs. A hard bed area for yoga or meditating was great.

reat stay at the Centara Resort on Koh Chang island. Sunsets here are amazing. The Centara is located about 250 meters off of the main road.....a good thing. This keeps most noise generated by the main road , at a minimum. Check-in was seamless and easy. The front desk was welcoming and friendly.. Centara is set in a very tropical setting. Palms, orchids , and plumeria are all landscaped into a beautiful park like setting with small fish -populated canals running throughout the grounds. The rooms, { I rented 3 different cabana types) were all comfortable but in need of some updating and refreshing . The AC, TV, and WiFi all worked well. Showers were great, too. ●●● BE aware...mosquitos can be an issue at all of the resorts on Koh Chang. Centara is no exception. ●●● Breakfast was decent, and all breskfast staff was super friendly and helpful. . There were both Asian and Western breakfast foods available. The pool was great. There are 2 pools on site, I only used the pool close to the beach. There were plenty of sunbeds available. The beach is just steps from the pool . Easy beach access at several points from the pool area. ●● Be aware that sandflies can be a real nuisance close to the beach on Koh Chang ●● The atmosphere at Centara is a relaxed and chilled out vibe. We loved the pools and the view from the hotel across the beach and out to sea. The staff were incredibly lovely and the splash pool and slide a hit with the kids. The morning yoga was wonderful the restaurant food was good too. The only downside for us was that the property is in need of some renovation. Broken tiles in beach pool, proves missing their thatching, our outdoor shower was unusable as filthy and in poor condition. The indoor shower was a handheld standing or sitting in bath so not ideal.

We loved the cabana even though it was a bit dated we still loved the peaceful surroundings, the breakfast was good and the coffee was good and hot,went for drinks at sunset and Kong the young waiter was very good, the beach pool was very clean and lovely ,the Splash pool was great to swim in the water was clean but felt it was in need of a good clean around the sides and the jacuzzi need to be working. All in all would definitely stay again

Everything about the property. Staff is so sweet and go out of their way to help you. They have two pools and both are awesome. We upgraded to ocean view cabana deluxe and I think these were the best rooms with views overlooking the pool and the beach.

Love the beach front unit. Was there during off-peak season, so the beach and surroundings were not crowded, which gave me a lot of freedom and space to make use of the pool, and the beach was not overpopulated. Staff were friendly. The room was clean. Location is ideal for me as I wanted to just be at the beach front. They clean the beach daily. There are some creatures at night at the rooftop, but it's all good as they are outside..😊

Perfect hotel! The staff were extremely helpful, the room had everything you need, quiet at night, the pool is lovely and the beach is beautiful. The daily housekeeping great too. Also scooter rental and laundry services 2 minutes walk away.

The room was spacious and everything was very clean. The staff were really attentive and helpful. We ate at the restaurant on the beach front a few times and the service was always great and the food was delicious. The swimming pool was big and there were enough loungers provided by the pool and on the beach. We had massages on the beach front with the Dewa. Had the best Thai massage I've ever had. We also enjoyed there being a bar in thr swimming pool, so we could sit in the pool with our cocktails. Good location. 10-15 minute walk to more restuarants and there were other restaurants along the beach front. I think the Dewa was the best out of them all.

The Dewa is one of the best resorts in Koh Chang for me. Why? -I love the earthy, nature blending design with Thai features inside and outside, it is not indifferent but has personality. -There is a spacious shower and bathtub in the rooms. -Pool size and amount of daybeds is right for the amount of rooms. -The hotel has a real beach! And you can walk along the beach. Other hotels on tjd island have not a real beach, you go through stairs into the water (especially in high thight). -The pool bar makes very good cocktails for a good price plus happy hour. -The Spa has very fair prices (but we still didnt check the service) -Staff is friendly -While it is not a completely new hotel, the hotel invests in maintaining the facility in good conditions. -Overall, this is a real 4-Star resort with a really good price-product ratio. Potentials to get even better: -The preprepared egg options at the breakfast look delicious but are all cold and so not really a nice. While the fresh omlet is great, consider making maybe less options but all fresh. -While the coffee shop makes a good coffee, at breakfast a Nescafe powder based coffee machine is the only option which to my standard is not at 4-star level at all. Consider to change to a beans based machine or at least put a price list with "to-puchase" options from the coffee shop.

Very nice hotel. We stayed in a comfortable well designed and peaceful bungalow near the beach for nearly 2 weeks. Great service and we where well looked after especially by the manager. The hotel is located on a very nice beach with a cool and relaxed atmosphere. Good sun beds. The hotel offered dinner on their beachaerea with very good food but the live music was not to our taste. That was no problem since there where a lot of nice beach bars/restaurants nearby with good and fresh seafood and lots of other thaifood. We preferred the Pilot bar with tables on the beach with great food and very good wine by the glass, and with very nice service. The hotel pool aerea was good with a big nice pool. The hotel breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The manager gave us good advices and helped us with booking very nice trips. We recommend a sailing and snorkeling trip on a catamaran. That was perfect ! we recommend this hotel for a peaceful and beautiful holiday.

Amazing Hotel in Koh Chang! The Dewa is a beautiful hotel in Koh Chang. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I absolutely love the swimming pool, especially with the bar right beside it – you don’t even need to leave the pool to grab a drink! The design is very unique, giving off a tropical jungle vibe that feels amazing. The hotel also has a beach that feels almost private, with a stunning view. The staff service is truly top-notch, always friendly and attentive. Plus, their buy 1 get 1 promotion is fabulous and such great value. Where to start, well this hotel actually is spotless and immaculate , the room was spacious and bright with attractive decor. I see so many reviews that say spotless then I see grim around the shower etc. this truly is spotless, beautifully tiled and appointed. It’s located in a very quiet area and so I heard nothing all night. The reception area is also clean and attractive and a simple breakfast was served. Tuu directed us to a superb restaurant which he warned us was not so attractive but excellent food and it was. Well that’s the hotel however we also engaged Tuu to arrange all our transportation while in UK. He arranged private cars to and from Bangkok and our speed boat tickets and reservations to Koh Mak. Once he had the gist of our plans he phoned us in the UK to ensure that everything was straight. Everything went like clockwork and he was always at the end of the phone as well which was reassuring as well. I cannot praise his assistance enough and he will now be our point of contact for all future travel plans he really is a charming and helpful guy.

Like many, I came to Trat as a transit point between Bangkok and Koh Kut. I was planning on walking around, and having dinner but not much more but so glad I stayed here as Tuu, the owner and manager, gave me tons of good recos. He was the main highlight for me. Have never met a nicer hotel owner. He gave me tons of really good suggestions for food, for running, for getting a massage, all of which I followed and was not disappointed. He went above and beyond to organize travel to the pier, and even organized a rescue mission for my phone charger, which I had left behind but already have back as I write this review. In addition to Tuu, the room was super lovely. Clean, spacious, with good wifi. In the morning, Tuu makes you a complimentary espresso drink. I loved staying there, and would again. Lastly, the location is close to a lot of things: market, reservoire, which comes alive at night, a fitness park, etc.

absolutely everything! wonderful communication, mr Tuu could not have been more helpful. warm and friendly welcome on arrival. luxury accommodation, super comfy bed, scrumptious pillows and fresh cotton linen. a perfect stay in a town that justifies more than an overnight stay before you catch a ferry. Mr Tuu even arranged our airport transfer from Bangkok and ferry booking whilst we were in the UK. He gave us great local recommendations and literally could not have been more helpful, personable and kind. He is a true host with customer service at the forefront of his approach. We read an independent review that stated Mr Tuu’s hotel was built from the heart- this is so true and it was delightful to enjoy his amazing hospitality and accommodation. great coffee too!

Rimklong Boutique Hotel was centrally located in the old part of town. Our room was large, clean, modern and very comfortable. We were lucky that our stay, on a Saturday night, coincided with the lively weekend street food market. What raised this establishment to a five star level, in our opinion, was Mr Tuu kind attentiveness to his guests. He genuinely enjoyed providing travel/transport assistance, restaurant options and recommendations to any guests wishing to enhance their visit of Trat and its surroundings. Mr Tuu is a Thai ambassador of the sort who cares a lot about his guests travel experience in Thailand. We totally enjoyed our short stay at the Rimklong Boutique Hotel - including an excellent cappuccino.

Our stay at Rimklong Boutique was everything we could have asked for and more. Mr Tuu made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived and took the time to explain the best places to see and eat in Trat. We followed his recommendations and had a fantastic day eating our way around Trat. The room was clean and stylish and the bed extremely comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. Mr Tuu took the time to make us a lovely breakfast of toast and fruit, and the coffee in particular was delicious. We look forward to staying with Mr Tuu again in the future! Thank you!

Balcony view was not nice at all but we did not sped any time there. So the room was top. When you arrive to the pool bar are you are just blown away. Absolutely stunning view and lovely staff welcoming you. Especially WOODY made our stay even more special as he was always checking up on is and our kids. The pool bar is fantastic and has two happy hours a day :) . Sand beach so so but beautiful sea and clear water. The hotel has two kayaks to rent out for 250b per hour. Restaurant had great food ! The breakfast was ok not too big choice but it was fine. For our anniversary they did a small surprise in the bedroom. All in one we were very happy and didn't wanna leave ! Hopefully we can go back soon.

Lovely place to stay, chill and relax. Since it was low season the hotel was not very crowded so the pool area and the beach were very quiet. The beach is not rocky so it’s perfect and literally next to the pool. My room was huge ( 3rd floor, simple room I think) and everything was clean and tidy, modern furniture, super comfy bed and all. Staff was super friendly and helpful, you can have cleaning services every day. Breakfast very good with lots of options ( only at the end of my stay they opted for menu options instead of 100% buffet). Very good internet for the ones who need to work

Amazing hotel and service. The staff take care of ever single detail. Great pool area with sea view and nice sunset on the beach. Pool bar bamboo style is really handy, so basically… you don’t need to leave the place as have everything you need, including good food and breakfast. We stayed one week and it was our favorite hotel out of 5 we stayed.

Nice location not too far from the ferry port and the fact you can hop next door and use their pool and order from a VERY extensive menu was a bonus. Kids loved the pool.

Banpu is the perfect place to stay in koh chang. Right by the beach, great pool, clean and well appointed rooms, great breakfast, close to restaurants and shops, loads of character. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. We had two rooms next to each other for us and our two young kids, which worked really well. I would definitely stay again.

The bungalow by the pool was fantastic, large room and nice veranda. The pool was really good overlooking the sea and plenty of sun beds, some with shade from the trees others with sun umbrellas. The highlight has to be the breakfast, most probably the best we have had in Thailand, great selection and all fresh eaten by side of pool.

Poolside Villa was huge, clean, comfortable and nicely nestled in the gardens with its own pool. Infinity pool was large and mostly quiet. Free use of SUP a bonus, lots of breakfast choice, staff very helpful and friendly.

Myself and my partner were pleasantly surprised with the Chang Buri Resort, it’s so reasonably priced for what it is. The staff were all so lovely and attentive. The breakfast was a fairly basic buffet but definitely decent (we had waffles and bacon most mornings). The beds were comfy and really nice basic but clean rooms with a nice big balcony surrounded by a pool. The infinity pool was amazing and you can watch the sunset from the pool. The beach this was on was definitely our favourite on the island of the popular ones, was so clean and had some great restaurant/bar options and a stunning sunset! We ate in the restaurant a couple of times which was right on the water, and the food was amazing, some of the best we had on the island in-fact. Would absolutely recommend to stay here for a great experience at not too much cost.

We have stayed here a few times now and have just booked again to stay in May/June. The rooms are spacious, lovely and bright and the bed is very comfortable. We stay Hillside with a view over the pool and the mountains. Breakfast is great with a large variety of food to choose from. Staff are polite and friendly and always greet you with a smile. Pool areas are clean and well maintained and there are steps down into the sea with loungers along the shore. It would be great if there were more sun loungers added to the Hillside pool as the few that are there get snapped up early in the morning.

We booked 2 rooms for my Mum's birthday and we absolutely loved it! The beach front villa is stunning, super comfortable, and literally right on the beach with your own little terrace and sun loungers. We also had a room further back that was huge and super comfortable. The beds are amazing! The pool is beautiful, also right on the beach and it has a swim-up bar with little seats! I always expect the food at resort restaurants to be average but it was absolutely outstanding! The best thing about this place though was the staff. Everyone was SO friendly, helpful, and kind - they really made the trip extra special. My mums room was decorated when we arrived and they made a special table up for us for her birthday dinner and brought us a cake, it was so sweet!

From walking in to leaving, the staff were amazing. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Pool area nice, lovely Infinity pool overlooking over the sea. Nice sized pool. Beach area nice. Bar Staff very attentive. Rooms very clean. Large bathroom. Shower good.

The resort has an idyllic location on one of Koh Chang’s finest beaches, where you can truly relax and enjoy some amazing views. the resort has great facilities including a beachfront location, swimming pool, spa, beach and pool bars, restaurant and more!

The room was spacious, clean and featured an excellent bath and beautiful bathroom. The pool is clean and the sun loungers are plenty and comfortable. But what stood out most was the wonderful staff. We both have celiac disease and require some extra care, especially at breakfast or other buffets like during a special night to celebrate Loy Krathong. We could ask questions about the food and when there was little on offer that we could eat at breakfast they made us delicious fresh food. This made our stay much more relaxing and we are really thankful :-) Other staff are also great, like the cleaning lady who's smile seemed to get bigger each time we saw her.

"RAY" (Cowbytours) booked Sea-Sun Bungalow & Resort for our group of 5. We each had our own rooms which included 4 bungalows and one room in the main building at the front. I can't say how the main building was, as i stayed in one of the great little bungalows. They are the exact type of accommodation i love when visiting Thailand :) Mine and all others had a little balcony/porch outside the front of it to have a beer and a snack and to just take in the fact you are on a beautiful island. The bungalow had all i needed- a main room consisting of a bed with tv, air con, desk etc and then a rather unique colourful cave-like toilet and shower room (you walk through the door and you walk round a bend and everything is there). I loved that touch. Upon arrival, every person who worked there and helped us get settled in were so friendly- it felt like home immediately. The whole place is lovely, relaxed and full of plantation and it's perfectly located, with the main road down to the bars/restaurants and beach just outside the front of the main building- you don't get any noise at all at night. Bedding and towels were replaced every day and it was a pleasure staying here. :)

The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful from the start. They were all ways polite and smiling with a friendly greeting. The room was great, spotlessly clean and very modern looking. The bed was very comfortable and clean, both very important to me. I had great nights sleep while I was there. Everything looked very new, the air con tv etc. We had clean towels and bottled water deliverd every day and leaving a notice on the door enabled your room to be cleaned. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a good controllable shower. It was a large bathroom with toilet and hand basin and included free soap and shampoo. My room was overlooking the road and the double glazed windows cut out all the noise. The hotel is within easy walking distance of everything in white sands Beach. I thought the staff and the hotel were amazing. In my opinion If you are heading to white sands Beach and want a great hotel to stay at then this one won't dissapoint you.

We enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of this family owned hotel very much. We had a room on the 4th floor in the rear of the hotel with an awesome mountain- and jungle view. There is also a beautiful garden behind the house with several covered seating options for your leisure time comfort, surrounded by lovely bungalows. Perfect Free parking space for cars and motorbikes next to the garden. The staff is consisting of family members of the owner and is very polite and helpful, always going that extra mile to make their hotel guests feel home. This place is the definition for "HAPPINESS" :) We'll come back for sure. Khop khun khrap and SAWASDEE :)

Nice clean room that had all the amenities I required extremely fast internet large screen TV with HDMI input for my fire stick. Refrigerator coffee maker good air conditioning plenty of hot water. The staff were very friendly and we're willing to go out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The cleaner did a great job and they clean the rooms early so you didn't have to wait all afternoon to get back to your room. They also have two of the most friendly dogs I have ever seen they're very welcoming to the guests.

I slept so well, the bed is so comfortable. stayed in my own little bungalow, very peaceful as all bars etc are a 5 min walk away so it’s lively and quiet. I know Thai people are known for being polite and friendly but the staff here were exceptional- they drove past me walking far away and offered me a lift back, they brought me dragon fruit as a present as I couldn’t find it anywhere. I mean that just blew my mind. My heart is full, as is my stomach!! Thank you for having me!

Nature Beach Resort is simply perfect! The hotel has its own almost private beach, a stunning pool at zero line with the ocean. The rooms are clean, equipped and inviting. The bungalow-like rooms are very close to the pool and the beach. Right next door, the bar-restaurant operates with local or western delicacies (it is recommended to try one of the pizzas...you won't regret it) regular or alcoholic shakes served in the pool, on the beach or on the waterfront. From there you can watch the spectacular sunsets and then return to the illuminated pool, which is open until 10:00 PM at night !

we came to this resort in 2014 . back then it was just simple bungalows with no pool but I remember it had such amazing vibe I decided I need to visit it one day again . so we came back now ( March 2023 ) and it had the same chilled vibe as I remembered . the staff even remembered me which was sweet :) the property is lovely with big pool and it’s right on the very nice Lonely beach . Rooms are Suoer comfortable ( though tad small so if you want more space , be sure to book poolside villas ) For us it was ok , we were two adults and a child . bathrooms are nice and spacious .staff is lovely and very helpful . their restaurant and bar is nice with plenty of amazingly delicious dishes to choose from big menu . definitely would recommend their Tom yum soup but we tried many dishes in ten days we stayed there and everything was super delicious . we would definitely come back again

Excellent bungalow 201, just near pool and beach. Clean pool, bungalow big bed, nice bathroom. Staff in restaurant very friendly. Food great and hotel good value for money. In between Kai Bae and Lonely beach village. A scooter or taxi 10 mins to Kai Bae or can walk to Lonely village along the beach or road. Fo careful at night , little bit dark along the road!

Das Zimmer hat leider in den ersten Tagen modrig (Nach Schimmelpilz) gerochen und ein Tausch des Zimmers war nicht möglich. Der Geruch besserte sich nach einigen Tagen. Grundsätzlich ist es eine schöne Anlage, man ist zufuss aber sehr eingeschränkt bei der Erkundung der näheren Umgebung und sollte sich entweder ein Fahrzeug/Roller mieten oder sich darauf einstellen Taxi zu fahren. Das Restaurant und auch der Pool ist offen für alle zugänglich und wird stark von denen mitgenutz, welche in günstigeren Unterkünften am Lonely Beach wohnen. Dies führt dazu, daß Gäste des Resorts teilweise nur eingeschränkt Plätze im Restaurant finden und Liegen am Pool oftmals nicht zur Verfügung stehen, da diese von externen belegt wurden.

Really good resort that I have stayed at before, excellent service in restaurant and pool area. However the pool area is a need of maintenance there are areas where the wooden planks are missing, and can be cause of injuries. Lightning in bathrooms is really poor.

The location of this hotel was great, set back from the road so no noise (other than of the nearby elephants!), but in the middle of lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. The beach is easy to get to from here. It is also close to the port where a lot of boats trips leave. Songthaew's are constantly available so really easy to get around between resorts as well. The pool area is lovely, and the pool itself is really deep, pool towels are provided, and changed whenever required. We had a lovely large room, comfortable bed, and big bathroom. All of the stay were lovely too - wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We really liked our stay at Garden Resort. The rooms are super comfy and spacious, the beds are soooo nice and soft 🤩 Rooms are equipped with a large fridge, coffee/tea/water and a smart tv with netflix and a large selection of movies and series. The (salt water) pool is very clean and spacious. Enough beds and pool towels are provided. The second night we changed rooms to a pool view room which seemed to have a bigger bed than the garden view room so that was nice! (Although not sure why there’s a difference) There is a 7/11 around the corner that is open 24/7 which is very convenient. Also lots of nice restaurants in the area. We did not have breakfast here so can not judge about that.

Can absolutely understand the high rating for this fabulous little boutique hotel right in Kai Bae. Could not fault anything about our stay. The owners and the resort team were friendly, welcoming and really made the whole experience enjoyable. Spotless (and spacious) room with a comfortable bed, fridge, TV, safe and outdoor area with seating. Well laid out bungalows in a beautiful tropical setting (mix of pool view / garden view), relaxing pool (with shallow and deep areas and a waterfall feature), and delicious cooked to order breakfast available (as well as fruit, toast, cereal, freshly ground bean coffee & juice). Location is fantastic. Close to everything you need restaurants, bars, 7-11, laundry, motorcycle/car rental, tour operators etc) and only a 5 minute walk to the beach to take in gorgeous sunsets. On Sundays in the high season, the owner also plays a few tunes at the bar and that was a really chill way to start a Sunday evening. Definitely recommended and very much looking forward to returning again!!

This is a great place to stay in Ko Chang and run extremely well by the owner Mause and his Thai wife . On arrival I was greeted by Mause who is a great and knowledgeable chap and was shown to my very nice room by the pool , a good sized room with all the amenities plus lots of films to watch on the tv if so desired . Breakfast was freshly cooked to order every morning featuring Asian and European dishes , I tried them all and all very good 😊. All the staff here are very polite and happy, the pool is excellent and uses a salt water cleaning system it's also open 24 hours if you fancy a late night dip 😊. In all I had a great relaxing time at the Garden Resort and will be back for sure I highly recommend this place . A big thank you to Mause and his wife and to all the staff at the Garden Resort .🙏🙏🙏.

Koh Chang is still very quiet but that was fine for me, only one other couple staying here while I was here. Very comfortable beds and room in general for the price point. Pool was very refreshing. Dutch owner always happy to help if you want to know something. Located on the main street on the island but set back so no noise. Lots of restaurant and bars on your doorstep. Situated between lonely beach and Klong Prao makes it exploring on a scooter easy. The only thing that i can say is lighting when walking to room could be better, had to use torch on my phone to walk along the footsteps leading to my room by the pool at back of property. Food not being served on property right now because they dont have the guests to be able to do this which is understandable, plenty choices close by.

Cliff Cottage is the perfect place to stay at Koh Chang. It offers so much - you can do diving lessons, you can rent a kayak for free and explore the surroundings, you can snorkel or just chill by the sea or pool.

Wonderful location ..balcony with hammock looking onto beach. Communal bar /relaxation area with pool beautiful looking out to sea. Bikes and kayaks free to use + snorkels.. Lovely walk ..ride to Bao Bao pier and beach. Could of stayed all winter!!

The seaside swimming pool, swim up bar and seaside restaurant. Many bungalow room options for families.

We had a mix-up with our room type and so the manager gave us a 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa with a private pool, which was very generous of him. The breakfast was very good with a good selection.

This was my 2nd time staying at this resort. Both times were a kind of working vacation. I especially like the swimming pools with the swim up bar. Plenty of beach front and pool front lounge chairs. Some wonderful salas around the pool with comfortable "bean bag" chairs. With many small bungelows this place is popular with families. Quite a few young children having a wonderful time. There is a woman whose name is Emmy working in the restaurant and sometimes as a bartender at the swim up bar. I noticed she is super with the children. Kacha Resort should consider making her a "kids ambassador". She would be a natural at this position. It would certainly enhance the resort and make for an even better time for the families. Also the young man who is the regular bartender at the swim up bar. I appreciate the way he engages with the guests. I will definitely return to Kacha Resort and recommend it to my friends and family in Bangkok.

Everything was great from the get go! Clean fresh hotel with welcoming staff with good english. Check in was very easy and good. We got early check in and an upgrade was provided where we got pool and oceanview to our villa. Greatly appreciated by us. The facilities were beautiful and good. The room was excellent. Nothing was old, damaged or in bad shape. Gorgeous bathrobes and all needed toiletries. Very nice AC and comfortable bed. The pool is gorgeous and nice. The walkways are pleasant. A sundeck to watch the sunset was amazing. The beach in front of the pool is rocky but in front of the sundeck its smooth tan sand and gorgeous ocean waves. Staff is very friendly put in the extra effort even at cleaning. Always polite, smiling and helpful. Feeling of geniuine care. Security guards are here and very friendly. Close to everything you need.

I booked this hotel simply for the pool but everything was great. From the amazing customer service at check in and all through out the hotel with all the staff members was fantastic. We stayed in a cottage which was a great size for our family of three. The buffet breakfast had many choices to choose from which was a win for us. The pool does get busy quickly but worth it to keep the kids busy. Happy hour next to the pool was also a great hit. We got to watch an amazing fire show down on the beach each night where they would involve the crowd. Would happily come back and stay again.

Perfect hotel and destination for a relaxing a family. We got a cottage which was spacious and comfortable. The pool was a seller for us allowing our son to burn off plenty of energy and us the ability to sit and watch if we wanted or to join in. Breakfast had many great options and catered for everyone. Happy hour poolside was a hit with two for one deals. We all enjoyed the fire show each night which was interactive as well. All of the staff were wonderful and welcoming always saying hello and smiling. We would definitely come back here and spend more time.

This place is so cool With or without kids! The beach is great, clear waters and no rocks. The pool is awesome with no regulations on heights for smaller kids, you can ride together and the pool area is very child friendly and safe! Breakfast is great! Staff is fantastic!! Beach restaurant and bar is beyond!!! Fire shows, sunsets, massages and live music they had everything just right! We loved it here and regretted only booking for a few nights. We will be back, and recommend going here big time!

Was far above expectations. Rooms were large and comfortable. Property was well-maintained. Staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent and included a large variety of both Thai and Western foods. Very fun water slides at the pool. Although there was not a natural sand area at the beach, the water was incredible. Crystal clear and you could go out so far without it getting deep. Very safe for kids! The water was like a huge swimming pool!

This resort transformed our visit to Koh Chang during the Green, low season when the weather might have spoilt our trip, however the comfort of the accommodation, the great fun of the pool facilities, and the lovely helpful staff turned it around. Our kids loved the pool and so the cloudy skies didn’t matter! Right next to nice cafe, mini convenience store etc so an easy stay.

Best beach on the island in my opinion. If you want a peaceful and serene experience this is the place, everything shuts very early on this part of the island but it’s worth the beauty of the area. The bungalows are an absolute dream, comfiest beds I’ve slept in, the beach is your garden and you can sit on the porch watching the waves at your doorstep. You also get private sun loungers you can sit on and because there are so many trees you can chose between shade and sun. There’s lots of cute hermit crabs in the sand as well. The staff are very attentive and lovely! I was gutted that I’d booked to stay on lonely beach for the second half of our stay because none where as beautiful as this.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Chang. Jebbie and her staff are very professionell, always friendly and there for you. Jebbie is extreamly helpful and she is a great hoast. We stayed in the beach front hut. Very beautiful spot, right next to the beach. It's basic but actually has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to sit on the porch in the evening from where you have a view over the beach and you can watch the sunset. There are good restaurants along the beach, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So the location of Bangboabeach Resort is perfect for a memoriable stay on Kho Chang.

This is a truly magical place. The staff and owner are exceptional and go above and beyond to help you in anyway you need. The beach is fantastic and you can choose to be in the sun or relax under the natural shade of the trees. There are many phenomenal restaurants within a 5 minute walk. So many good choices that we couldn’t get to all of them during our 3 day stay. If you are vegan, you will be amazed how easy it is to eat in this area! We cannot wait to come back many times down the road. Love, love, love this place. It was a highlight of our three week trip to Thailand.

Perfect place to relax on the beach. The Chalets are 50 m from the sandy beach with comfortable beach beds under shady trees. The rooms are airconditioned and the beds very comfortable. It's lovely to sit on the porch in the morning to have a Coffee or in the evening to watch the sunset. I enjoyed the peace and the quiet of the place. No party music;) Just the sea and birds singing. Good Restaurants are in the direct neighbourhood. Jebbie and her Team are just wonderful. Helpful in any ways. Thank you Jebbie for looking after us so well.🙏😍 All in all a perfect place to stay on Koh Chang:)

We really enjoyed our 4 nights. Jebbie is a wonderful host and runs a very well organised clean resort. Rooms are basic, comfortable with great fast wifi. Loved the bed and pillows, both were firm, no waking up with neck pain here. The more you stay here the slower you become, it’s all about letting go, there is no where to rush to which I loved. It’s located at the bottom of the island, 40 mins by shuttle bus. There is motorbike hire available, walks to the water fall, daily swims in the sea, laying around with a good book. Just perfect. Hope this place never changes.

I have staid in Elephant Bay twice, two years apart, in total of over three weeks. For me it has the perfect combination of relaxed vibe, great public areas with a swimming pool, free kayak to use, a free full size pool table and a large and well kept outdoor area. Though the first time I staid there was a nice hut on the shore with some hammocks but it was recently damaged by a storm and had to be removed. I hope they will rebuild something similar in the future. The staff speaks good english and become your friends. Originally the kitchen was open whole day, but during my second stay the food service was restricted to 08:00-13:30. I have no complaints in the quality of the food though. The location is quite convenient, there are multiple good restaurants close by. You can directly walk to No Name Seafood right next door which is an excellent seafood restaurant. Lonely Beach is either a 15-20 minutes walk or a short motor bike ride away. The rooms are not that great by conventional standards. They show age and insects and geckos roam your room quite often. But for me that is not a priorty as long as they don't ask for a 5-star hotel prices. But as a warning, if you don't like to have lizards or cockroaches in your room, then you can deduct couple of points from my rating. For me though, this is a perfect place and I will probably be back a third time.

Though these bungalows are older, and more rustic, you cannot beat the value for the price. Comparable bungalows would cost a lot more on Koh Chang. There was a full bar, pool table, nearby restaurants, privacy as it is near one end of the island - WiFi, swimming pool, on the sea, GOOD cable TV channels, and AC w. fan.

Elephant Bay is a small resort with lovely grounds in the village of Bailan Bay. The swimming pool is lovely and it is right on a lovely beach where you get an amazing sunsets. The bar and restaurant also have a pool table and it is easy to get a taxi into Lonely Bay too.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Resort rent scooters and no any problems with that. Scooters are good shape, you can get gasoline and helmet too. we had family room with 3 people (friends). in room we had 3 bed and fridge. aircondition work well. pool and yard is was clean. resort area was quiet and relaxing. Sunsets was awesome to watch on resort pool and bar terace.

Remy and his family were lovely, helped us to organise a snorkel trip, made sure we had what we needed etc. The pool was a big bonus for my son! More than happy considering the price and the pool.

From the attention to detail that I've observed from the outside, it's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought and care into creating a truly unique and special experience for their guests. The exterior is impeccably maintained, with lush greenery and tasteful decor that perfectly complements the natural surroundings. As I walked by, I could already smell the fresh sea breeze and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, making me even more excited to check in. One of the things that has impressed me the most, though, is the genuine warmth and friendliness of the owners. Even from a distance, I could see that they are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. I have no doubt that their hospitality will be a highlight of my stay. Overall, I am blown away by Jop and can't wait to experience it firsthand. Based on what I've seen so far, I have no doubt that this will be an unforgettable vacation. The hosts Olivier and Natasha are extremely friendly and helpful, give good tips and information about the island. They are the best! We found our stay so great that we booked two more nights. One of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in. Thank you Olivier and Natasha The room is very clean and well equipped. The whole area is very well maintained, it has a beautiful garden. The breakfast is delicious! We could also rent a scooter directly at the accommodation, that was great. Various restaurants, bars, beaches are rigth across the street. The hotel is in a great location. We would always come back.

We loved it here so much we stayed longer than originally planned and even came back after we were on Koh Kuut and Koh Maak for a week. The owners are super friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast is DELICIOUS! They don’t have anything vegan on the menu but where very open to creating something for me, thanks again for that! 🙏🏻 Beach and many restaurants are right around the corner/alongside the road. They also rent scooters for a very good price! It just felt like home. ☺️

I enjoyed my stay very much with Olivier and his lovely wife. The breakfast is a must, it is very healthy and super tasty, and one of the best coffees on the island. Overall one of the best locations, to the beach is only 300 meter and the 7 Eleven and bars are just some minutes by foot. The rooms were super clean and had everything the traveller desires, also good for families, I felt super safe there with Olivier and his staff.

Jop was by far the best reviewed option in Kai Bae where there was a local Speed Boat service we had intended to leave. The owners booked our taxi’s to JoP and the speedboat tickets for the following day which we couldn’t do ourselves online. Olivier and Natasha were amazingly diligent in responding to all our messages prior to arriving. Once there, they made everything reassuring which makes a world of difference travelling with a 3 year old.

Amazing French couple who owns this place and cooks the most delicious breakfast every day. We never pay for breakfast at hotels but we did every morning because of how delicious they make it here. We opted for sunset drinks at the bar with the owner who makes a mean mojito. He is so kind and this couple makes the entire stay on Koh Chang so amazing. They help with all tips/transport/laundry and anything else you need. The room is very nice and clean. Your typical SEA room but they do have sliding doors with a little private outdoor space for each one which is appreciated. Overall a 10/10 and a bright spot on Koh Chang, which we did not love but that is no fault to the owners of this sweet B&B. Thanks friends.

Well, the full description is in the title LAZY REPUBLIQUE. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the hosts Pilou & Fred (who by the way is a woman!) are utterly charming and you are treated like one of the family straight away. Their hospitality goes above and beyond what you would expect, from trying to help guests navigate the island to assisting with organising local walks and activities. The bungalows are very private and comfortable and the pool area offers a great environment to kick back and just relax. The main highlights of our stay were the delicious homemade breakfast made by Fred each morning and the lovely pastries as a treat. Also, the evenings spent socialising in the bar with the hosts and other guests made our holiday feel very special. we have been travelling for 3 months, we spent two weeks here as we enjoyed it that much. rooms were great, worth the money, pool was beautiful and clean, staff were amazing and breakfast was all homemade, incredible. Pilou and Fred (owners) go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. we cannot thank them enough for the amazing time we spent at Lazy Republique. To get to the nearby towns/ bars must be willing to drive a moped. as only a couple of restaurants walking distance. Next door but one there is a beautiful Thai restaurant which is incredible. We even did a class of Yoga, with Ewa, who was a teacher staying at the property and Pilou joined in. Thankyou for the best two weeks, hopefully see you both again.

What a wonderful place ! We described Lazy Republique as our “Jungle Paradise”. Excellent, comfortable accommodation, set in a lush, green environment with close access to local bars, restaurants and beaches. Transport is easily available for those wishing to explore further afield. Lazy Republique has a lovely pool and sun terrace. There is a lovely bar where many residents meet to enjoy the panoramic views of sunset whilst enjoying drinks and conversation. There is a very homely feel to Lazy Republique- created by our wonderful hosts, Pilou and Fred who are so warm, welcoming and helpful, they felt more like friends who we had known for years. Finally - I must mention the breakfast- so, so good and absolutely recommended! A truly superb place to stay!

Just checked in 3 hours ago and I'm absolutely amazed at this place. We have a family room which gives us a small room upstairs and a bedroom area with a balcony with a sea view and pool view. The bar is brilliant, right on the beach. We had food when we arrived, which was first class. We stayed in Koh Chang years ago at the AWA resort, we enjoyed it but wanted to try somewhere different. The value for money for 15 palms is actually unbelievable. I feel like I've robbed the owner getting it for around £35 a night. My wife and I are so happy with this choice. If your in any doubt where to stay on Koh Chang, make sure you consider here.

Lovely property in a great location. Staff really helpful. Although the pool is small it is big enough to swim in and is a beautiful setting. The location right on the beach and in the centre of white sand beach is excellent. The service in the restaurant is a bit slow and is the only criticism/ improvement that could be made. However the food in our opinion was by far the best in all the restaurants we ate in so we just factored in that the service was slow before deciding when to eat. The rooms are very nice with big comfortable beds. Lovely bathrooms and plenty of storage & wardrobe space in the room. Would highly recommend this property and the resort.

This resort offers a unique experience with its free-roaming peacocks. We even spotted some playful monkeys in the adjacent forest! Our two-bedroom villa comfortably accommodated our family, and the unexpected bunk bed turned out to be a bonus. Breakfast was a definite highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to please everyone. We loved the trampoline, and the free use of kayaks and SUPs provided fun on the water. Three small beaches offered plenty of space to relax and soak up the sun. The staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with everything from currency exchange and motorbike rental to booking a fantastic half-day snorkeling trip. Our villa had comfortable beds and a smart TV with Netflix and Prime access if you provided your account. There was also a free fire show that took place on Tuesday and Friday nights which was a fun bonus! While the resort's potential is clear, some areas could benefit from a refresh. The pier could do with some upkeep and although the pool itself was lovely the bar left us wanting more. Perhaps a little music and some toys for the kids. A bit of paint and some landscaping would go a long way, and restoring the drained pool areas would significantly enhance the ambiance. Despite these things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort for a memorable family vacation

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean with many amenities. There's golf carts to pick you up and take you around the property if you like. There's a nice gym. The food tastes great, beautiful breakfast buffet. There's small beaches on the property that were nice to relax on, but they should rake them to get rid of sticks and things that wash up. Nice pool area and peacocks that wander the property are fun to see. Our room was huge with a huge deck that was in front of the water. Our bed was so hard and hurt our backs; we asked if they could do anything and they changed our mattress to softer one, that was amazing service. Some places around the property look a little tired but staff tries hard to give everyone a nice stay. Free shuttle service to white sand beach & to the market many times a day.

A beautiful property with two beaches, a pool, a gym, a rec room with table tennis, billiards, air hockey, and lovely gardens and space for our toddler to run. Peacocks, monkeys and birds galore. The shuttle services were great to get out and eat elsewhere - very easy to book and use. The staff were so incredibly friendly, always smiling and saying hello, playing with our toddler, and offering golf cart rides. The bungalow was spacious, with daily cleaning services (working around our toddlers nap time). The restaurant has delicious food, and breakfast was incredible - with varying dishes daily. Also plenty of high chairs for guests with small children. We also loved the stand up paddle boards, just take and ride, no planning necessary. The beaches and water were great for swimming, especially in the mornings when tide was high. Can highly recommend and would easily stay again, no doubt!

Love the Aiyapura Resort!. Wonderful and helpful staff. Our ocean view room had two spacious and comfortable beds, it was listed as a twin room, but definitely double beds. Also lovely, comfortable loungers on our private deck.. The atmosphere is very calm, like the bay that it sits on. Paddle boards and kayaks for a morning or evening jaunt on the water. The pool was so beautiful. Enjoyed lingering over the endless buffet breakfast with both Western and Thai dishes and really great espresso. Of course overlooking the water :-) It’s a peaceful spot, tucked away on the north side of the island. It was very helpful that they arranged our transport to and from the ferry, and also have a daily free van to take you down to the more happening “white sands beach” area. Would love to come back here again.

The accomodation was very clean and spacious with a fridge, safe, nice balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Its a little dated, but it didnt effect our stay. The staff are all very friendly and accomodatig. We found the mattress to be too hard and they quickly added a soft mattress topper which we didnt expect, so thank you! The pool is lovely, the warmest I have had any where. A bit dissappionted with the pool bar, looks univiting but did offer the restaurant menu. We travelled with a toddler and they provided a large size cot in the room. Its bot the most buggy friendly property with steps to the rooms and difficult pathways to pool area, but we managed. The restaurant food service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious. Breakfast was good, a mixture of cereal, pastries, fruits, yogurt, eggs and thai options. It would be nice if they had a coffee shop on site.

Three of us friends travelled during low season (August) and booked a twin bed room with extra bed (extra bed for 500thb including breakfast). We were initially planning to stay at different beaches for each of our days but within the first 10 minutes of experiencing the Ramayana, we unanimously decided we are staying here for the entire trip. It was a really good decision. Ramayana has excellent food in their restaurant as well as order-in. They have a fantastic pool side with heated jacuzzi and a free shuttle every hour takes you to their private beach 1km away. The hotel has lakes on two sides of the property which means your front door opens out to a lake view and the balcony opens out to the pool view. Or vice versa. They also have a convenice store within the property and you can rent motorbikes and tours/activities right from the front desk - totally hassle free. We got two motorbikes to ride around and also booked a snorkelling trip recommended by them at pretty much the same cost as any tour/activity company. The quality of this resort is amazing. Attention to detail and staff friendliness is off the charts. This is one of the best places I've stayed in for a long time. Just book it already!

We stayed in ANNIKA last year and came back because it's so relaxing. The staff, restaurant and all facilities were fantastic. The swimming pool, spa pool and gardens are beautiful.

I stayed at Annika for 7 nights and really liked it. It has a large, beautiful garden with a swimming pool. If you enjoy morning walks, you can walk along the path inside the resort. Normally, I don't like swimming in pools much, but it was nice to spend time there. The rooms are spacious and clean, and each one has a balcony overlooking the garden. You can sit there in the mornings and evenings. However, you can't walk to the beach from the resort; you'll need transportation to get to the beaches. I rented a motorcycle for 1 week. The breakfast was good, but there could be a few more options.

Dejligt personale. God restaurant (Karatee) med fair priser. Ok morgenmad (savnede rigtig juice). Stort værelse med myggenet (lidt slidt). Vi rejste med en 6 mdr gammel baby i klapvogn. Der var lidt mange trapper op til vores værelse og rundt i det fine haveanlæg ved poolen (tænker det heller ikke er særlig handicap venligt). Der står der er ca. 600 m til nærmeste strand. Men hotellet anbefaler i stedet at man tager deres shuttlebus, som kører hver time, til en anden strand (ca.2 km). Gåturen til den nærmeste strand er ikke særlig praktisk med klapvogn, da man går hhv. ved trafikeret vej og på grusvej/sti - men stranden er fin. Man kan også sagtens have klapvogn med i shuttlebussen. En strandtur med baby kræver således bare lidt planlægning, hvilket gjorde vi følte os lidt strandet på hotellet. Men poolen er lækker og har skygge om eftermiddagen.

Modern lodging and the SWIMMING POOL. Not many pools in this area. Also the design of the hotel lent to nice breezes coming through the common areas which made it very comfortable.

We only stayed for 1 night en route to Cambodia. This is a modern hotel in a good location, just a few minutes xwalk from a massive Lotus and less than a kilometre from the bus station. The room and public areas are clean and comfortable. Room had everything you might need - comfy bed, spacious, aircon, kettle, wardrobe, decent shower. There is a small balcony but no chairs! The pool looked inviting, but unfortunately, we didn't get time to use it.. Good breakfast was included in the room rate, great selection of food and drinks. The staff give the JP Grande an edge - they are all welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Whatever we asked they went out of their way to assist. Thank you! Would definitely stay here again if in Trat.

We chose this hotel for convenience as it is opposite the Lotus shopping centre that’s good for stocking up on provisions before travelling to the islands. So I gave a 9 for location, as the main reason travellers stop in Trat is in transit. The hotel is near a dusty main road junction. So if you want convenience for the shops, and a swimming pool to wash away the grime of a long haul flight, J P Grand is grand. If you want to enjoy the city for itself, stay in the old part.

Big, comfortable, clean, modern room. Great bathroom, powerful shower. Nice breakfast and great pool. Very central in Trat. They helped us sort a transfer to the pier for the next day. They accept card payment. Check in and out was smooth. We loved it all.

This is a resort with 7-8 Thai houses around a pool, located approx a 5 min walk from Klong Prao Beach. The resort is right by the main road, but there is no issues with noise or anything. The resort is located on Klong Prao beach, one of the best beaches of Koh Chang (for families its just perfect). This resort is not a luxury resort, and not a B&B. Its somewhere in between. Had there been a proper restaurant that was enjoyable, some nice music by the pool (instead of the dreadful german techno), proactive pool service and overall attentive staff this would be a great choice. So: The pool and location of this resort is great, whilst the restaurant, or lack there of, is drawback.

The staff at both Bhu Tarn and the sister hotel went above and beyond to make our stay very special and make sure we were taken care of. When my girlfriend was not feeling well, they even drove us to the International Medical Clinic on Koh Chang. We are grateful to Preecha and his staff for their kindness and hospitality. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was great and very well designed. We had so much space, especially when you consider the verandah/deck areas to the front and rear. Overall, the hotel is very beautiful but also has a practical design. The swimming pool was brilliant. It's quite big for a hotel pool. A problem with the AC was fixed very quickly.

I stayed at Bhu Tarn and recommend you do too, it will not disappoint! Very big, light, airy rooms done to a high standard. Comfortable bed, separate bath and shower is nice. The breakfast is of a very good standard and selection. The resort is quite chilled out and peaceful, it has a pool and pool bar area. Some of the rooms have a rear balcony with a raised decking with matts for lounging around in the sun. Overall very good value resort, the return room rate of 2,400 thb per night is good for the location and standard of room.

this was a great place to stay. the pool was amazing and quiet. you can also use the other pool at the sister facility as well which I didn’t think was as nice but right on the beach. the room was huge (we booked the bigger ones) and super cold and really clean. the bathroom by far the best I’ve had since arriving. house keeping every day and water in rooms. location was on the quieter part of the beach so not much at front but I did have a great massage right opposite and also the small kitchen food shack is great at great prices too. I wanted to book again for later in the stay but songkran meant it was fully booked. you get robes, slippers and all the info you need. really recommend. beach was also good and a short walk along is koh Chang seafood which do great food and great cocktails at great prices!

If you're looking for a beautiful yet down to earth location to stay with great staff and a very good restaurant, Little Eden has it all. I stayed here for a week in January. The bungalows have everything you need, even USB charge portals. I preferred the fan over airconditioning, it provides you with a nice breeze for good night's rests. Everything at Lonely Beach is available at very short distance, and if you want to discover the island, motorbike rental is available. David and Sun will take great care of any needs you might have, they are great hosts. My number one choice to return to on Koh Chang!

It's exactly as it's seen in the pictures. A great place to escape from the city and feel as if you're in the forest. Another thing is, even though the lonely beach is not as crowded as it once probably was, you can still find a bunch of venues to see what "Full Moon Party" looks like on the island. Totally recommend. By the way, have cash (or credit card) on you beforehand because LITTLE EDEN doesn't accept debit card or QR payment and ATM machines in the area either don't exist or don't work at all.

I recently stayed five nights at Little Eden and could happily have stayed five weeks. It’s an old school Thai bungalow outfit, but with modern bathrooms, comfy beds and proper power points. The bungalows are super clean and set in lush gardens away from the noise of the main village but within walking distance of the beach. There is a lovely common area where you can eat delicious, home cooked food or just laze around and enjoy a cold beer. The service is friendly, and everything is incredible value for money. I can’t wait to visit again.

We are travelling in the Beginning of the rain season which means the place is not overcrowded. The Bungalows are small and simple but offer everything you need: european Sockets at the bed, a hammock on a big Veranda, a mosquito net, a super comfy bed and even hot water! The owner and the Team are very friendly. We will highly recommend this place to travellers who are not looking for fancy concrete places but natural wooden Bungalows with a lovely vibe in a lush Garden!

Cool! - The guests are very quiet during the evening and night. (I could sleep in until 8 (and even later), which felt rejuvenating.) - Don't miss Po's breakfast: it's tasty. The host, Pu, is a wonderful and lovely lady. She made my stay in Trat very easy and comfortable. The guesthouse had a beautiful atmosphere and a beautiful vintage decoration. A very beautiful guesthouse 😍It surprised me a lot because I'm a lover of the antiques.. The room was simple, very clean too. The bathrooms were amazing well cleaned, the bed was comfortable , the hostel was well located and quiet at the same time. I felt very good there. In addition the price of the room was very nice for my budget. She offered me a bicycle for free, which gave me the opportunity to know the city on my own rhythm.

For the price this is the best place to stay in Trat to make a trip to the islands or to Cambodia. It’s only 1.3km from the Bus Station so I walk. The traditional wood framed house with airy split level walkway is charming as is the 60s and 70s antiques in the building. Owner is lovely person.

Absolutely fantastic. A true Guesthouse. You did truly feel like a guest in someone's beautiful home. The host and hostess were super friendly and helpful. Every area was spotless and the beds super comfy. A must stay if you are visiting Trat. Oh, the poached eggs on toast are to die for...... Do book ahead as gets full quickly.

There is a lovely coffee shop around the corner on the way to the market. the market is close by.. The geusthouse has a spacious sitting area with great breakfast and healthy smoothies. The room clean and neat! The owner is a wonderful hard working Thai Lady who speaks very well English.

Very nice resort. Being a part of Blue Haven Bay provides lots of amenities. Rooms were very large with great views. Resort provided everything we needed, beach towels, beach bags, umbrellas. The marina sands pool was very nice, not as large and the Blue Haven pool, but it was less busy. We plan on staying here again.

The complex is situated on a gorgeous bay, and we felt like we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves - the scenery, white beaches, warm sea and gorgeous pool were stunning. Friendly staff at breakfast and at the pool bar and drinks/food could be charged to the room at the beach club area.

This resort is huge and offers direct access to a clean beach. You can easily walk to the beach from your room, or use the resort's convenient car service to navigate the property. Amenities include a golf course, and while we paid around 1,000 THB for two sets of 20 golf balls (one set would have sufficed for the four of us), and the experience was enjoyable. The resort has two pools: a smaller one near the rooms and a large one overlooking the beach, complete with the hotel restaurant and a lot of seatings. Our room was spacious and comfortable and complemented by the exceptionally friendly staff. I would recommend the refreshing avocado kiwi smoothie and the delightful Sunshine Bowl for breakfast.

We drove around Koh Chang and think this location is absolutely BEST! The hotel is located in a private area combining 3 hotels (it's like a mini village). There is private beach and a restaurant. You can easily walk around but if needed there are staff driving guests around. They will also provide a shuttle to nearest 7-Eleven. We rented scooter for 10 days from the hotel and everything was just fine with it. There are 2 pools, both super nice. Also the gym is good. It was comfy, clean and quiet place. Just what we needed! And also the breakfast was good.

Only one night Love the room we stayed in. Facility is well-maintained and clean. Beds are comfy?, good water pressure, buffet was good and the pool and beach is great. Staff is very cooperative and courteous. The location is secluded and away from most restaurants and other activities. Good family location, but not if you like to be close bars, restaurants, and shopping. The drive to the town is about 15 minutes.

1. The Staff!!! - We were looked after so well by the staff especially Supu, Aki, Tam and Khetta. Our kids really miss them and they went out of their way to look after us. Lovely people and really made the trip so enjoyable for us due to their friendliness and kindness. 2. The Location - being at the end of the road means it's very quiet and relaxed. If you like being away from it all and don't mind not being near any shops this is the place for you (some nice little bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance) 3. The Layout of the hotel/resort means you can feel very private and quiet in your room but meet other guests at the restaurant/bar and pool which is a good balance. The pool is perfect balance of being fun for kids and adults and you can sit on the loungers and watch one kid in the pool and one of the beach which is perfect for parents' reading time.

We really enjoyed exploring the tide pools during low tide (bring water shoes!). Our seaside cottage was perfect. The pool was very nice and right on the beach which is great because ocean swimming is difficult in this area due to the reef. We loved being in nature and seeing animals, sea, and jungle all around us. Breakfast was ok but may be better during high season.

Very nice and relaxed location in the very south of Koh Chang with a nice pool. Kayaks can easily be rented at the resort and are free of charge for 1 hour. The breakfast buffet was rich and good. Nice coffee machine with excellent (!) coffee and a variety of coffee options – the machine has sometimes its ‘own will’ though. Staff was superb: little shy in the beginning, however extremely helpful and friendly – even on challenging topics. Thanks to Natty and the complete Shivapuri team.

Everything was great about this hotel - the breakfast, staff, pool, food, drinks and the evening events. The music played in the restaurant is fantastic! I think that they overbooked when we arrived as they offered us a different room type (half of a Family Interconnecting Room) which was not what we wanted so we spent one night in the beachfront villa before they moved us to the the Junior Suite (C1) which was what we had booked for privacy and views.

Fantastic, beautiful place with beautiful beach and pool with a lot of natural shade due to the many trees on the area. Nice, large and clean family room. Very helpful and smiling staff who helped us with all our requests. Breakfast is absolutely delicious with fresh fruit, juices and dishes that vary from day to day. The braskfast area is just stunning with view over the sea and islands. Absolutely recommendable.

Very wide Reception area creates an open ambiance of this vibrant hotel. Very polite staffs around. Nice Poolside bar is located beside temperature controlled Swimming Pools. Hotel guests can use the beach and Gym facilities of their sister concern just opposite side of the road. A nice small market nearby having quite a few shops including one Tesco Lotus outlet. This comes quite handy. Rooms are quite big with modern amenities; good size balcony and modern bathroom. We stayed there for a night in October 2019 and would love to go back again!

I like the pool and the slider pool. Also like the fact that the beach is just across the road. The selection of breakfast is variety and food is very delicious too.

The crew were very nice and helpful. We were greeted with a glass of cold juice and a warm, nice smelling cloth to freshen up. The room smelled a little of moist, but was clean and looked nice. The pools were closed for maintanance, but they had an agreement with the hotel on the other side of the road, that we could use their pool. We were not lucky with the weather though. Nothing to do about that. Not much to do but to wander along the beach or eat and drink good food and drinks. :)

The Paradise Hill is located on the western coast of Koh Chang, next to many other hotels and restaurants. As with all locations here, you need a car or a motorbike to get around. The staff are very friendly and helpful, whatever our request was. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and as far as I can tell, they all have a balcony big enough to sit on it comfortably. Breakfast was very good, a lot of Asian food, though. For me that's perfectly ok, but I know not all western tourists like that. But then again, you also have toast, eggs, sausages and corn flakes. Next to the hotel is a huge pool area, with sliders and stuff, a paradise for kids for sure. If I ever go visit Koh Chang again, I will definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely big pool, perfect location with beautiful jungle background and beach just across the road , excellent reception with great staff especially Ann who speaks very good English and stands out for her freindly and welcoming nature. A very well appointed room , no disturbance from any noise so overall I had a very peaceful, quite and relaxing 3 week stay, would definitely highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

It's a very nice and friendly family style hotel with modern amenities. The service are super warm and caring, the staff try very hard to help. And the area also near to the night market and all you need. Please try to local pub at the right hand side opposite (10 M), you can order drinks, food and play American Pool with friendly Thai young people. And Trat is a quiet small town you can walk around.

Great location, very kind staff, clean & comfortable rooms that provided everything needed at a very reasonable price. Lovely little local bar with food, drinks, pool table and chill music right across the street.

Hotel directly in the center of Trat in a spectacular position, central to everything (the walk along the river is 20 meters away, the museum is a 5 minute walk as well as the temples and the Pillar Shrine, the nature reserve is 10 minutes away). Located in an old tek house that looks like a museum, a slice of Thailand that no longer exists. As soon as I booked I received an extremely detailed message with instructions on how to arrive. The owner is extremely kind. I sincerely thank those who wrote the previous reviews recommending the white rooms: true indeed, they are the best! Try to stay in one of those :) There is absolutely everything you need: desk, kettle, fridge, bedside lamps, darkening curtains and mosquito nets, and everything is pleasant, clean and welcoming. Free fruit, snacks, tea and coffee. Rooftop terrace to watch the sunset from and where I saw the New Year's Eve fireworks. I think it is one of the best places to stay in all of Trat, so despite the extremely hard bed (see below) I give it 10 stars.

This tastefully designed building is located in the old towncenter and has old features, like the wooden floors combined with industrial design. The room was on the top floor( no lift) and looked out over trees at the back of the building. It's on a small road, so traffic noise is not an issue. Concrete walls, no noise from neighbouring room . Bed comfortable, airconditioner, a small computer table, fridge, watercooker, etc. The ladies that take care of the place, very friendly and helpful. Just opposite the building a coffee shop, for breakfast in the morning and home made pizza after 12 o'clock. On the the back of the building Orchid restaurant for an excellent choice of freshly made thai and western dishes.

Amazing hotel right in the centre of Trat. Before we even arrived we had a lovely and helpful message exchange with Kajit with really useful information about the place, the transport to the hotel and everything. We found our way super easily. They also sorted for us the bus back to Shianoukville which was great! The hotel is beautiful ! Modern, clean, with loads of plants and a beautiful tree at the front. Room was lovely: super clean, well equipped (tv, fridge, hairdryer, wifi, AC, lots of lights and plugs, kettle + coffee, super comfy big bed, beautiful bathroom with big outside window,…), and gorgeous decoration. Best night sleep we had in a while. We will hopefully be back! Thank you! ❤️

This is a quite gem located at the Eastern end of Kling Kloi beach. A small family run set of on-suite bungalows with a fine resturant on the beach. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Good beach in front of the hotel & a nice place for a dip as there is no pool, a few rocks in the water so be careful. Generally rooms are clean and air conditioning worked well, WiFi is also excellent. Far better than a basic hotel/hostel but I would not go as far as calling this place boutique.

Initially I was rather sceptical about booking this resort given its remote location but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the quiet rustic set up and cute little bungalows. Its worth booking the sea front bungalows for the views!!! You should know this development is actually owned and part of the next door hotel. You will need yo walk over for food. Breakfast is simple and not the best. However, having said that when you order a la carte at Coco Chacha i was amazed at how good and authentic the local Thai food was. I would rate it as the best I had on the island and I have tried many places!!!! Staff are kind and helpful. Kayaking around to the abandoned boat hotel is well worth it and fun. Beach Massages are well priced and highly recommended. I regret only booking and staying here for two nights and wished I stayed longer rather than moving on to Lonely Beach. I actually found myself coming back here even after I moved hotel. After several trips to KC I think I have now found my favourite place on Koh Chang.

What a paradise! It is the last hotel in the south. After this hotel is the burned gost ship. Between Tropical beach and the main road you can walk at the beach where there are several restaurants and a bar. You can also get massages at the beach. The restaurants have good quality food and the prices are nice. Everything closes at 22 o'clock. The hotel is clean, very nice and friendly staff, nice breakfast with western and Thai food. The houses are on the beach, it is a paradise! In the evening there is mostly some entertainment, like a BBQ with fire show or live music. We ate here a couple of times and it was good. We loved the curry panang and the spicy salat with shrimps. The bed sleeps very well and the shower / bathroom had so many space, we could easily shower together. If the hotel owner considers any investments, I would recommand soft chairs at the balkony and restaurant and a bigger fridge. But these are details! We just loved this place. Hope you can visit Koh Chang and stay in this hotel 🙏

Excellent Resort - Check in was very easy and friendly with a welcome drink, The room was clean and spacious with good working Air Con and a little fridge. There is a lovely pool which is not far from the rooms. The little dock area with the hamocks is lovely and gives a great sunset spot. The sandy part of the beach is small and narrow with lovely rocky area to explore when the tide is out. The Breakfast was standard however the Evening meals were exceptional and you have the choice of sitting outside on a veranda area or inside if its a bit windy. Altogether a lovely quiet resort.

The entire staff is incredible. We can not say how accomplished and professional they are. The resort is everything a person could want. Clean, quiet, beautiful, and a wonderful breakfast buffet. The rooms were cleaned every day, which was so nice to come back to. The pool was clean, the lounger chairs were plentiful, great quality scooters, and privacy all day. Sunsets were amazing and cold Changs always available. Great WiFi at reception which is open 24/7. For those not wanting a loud nightlife this is the perfect spot. The small village has enough restaurants and variety stores to keep you happy.

Very clean, comfortable bungalow with a perfect ocean view. Our bed was very firm for us, but when we explained this to reception, they brought us a memory foam mattress topper. This made our sleeping so much more comfortable. The swimming pool was warm and clean with lounge chairs available for sun tanning. We enjoyed excellent buffet breakfasts. All the food was tastey and beautifully presented. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing. We didn't want to leave this beautiful resort.

It's was a great little bohemian guest house. The room was cute, and everything worked, including cold AC! I got lucky as there was a festival for something I never quite made out exactly what, but the whole lane was wall to wall food vendors! Traditional musicians played at about 5 different spots. This was a treat! There were local dancers and some kind of awards thing, again my Thai is limited. But it was super cool. I extended my stay for another night of festivities!!! The host was lovely and arranged for my ferry to koh mak. Her coffee shop and restaurant are delightful.

A very beautiful place to stay near the center of Trat. There was a fridge and a kettle in the room, and a rack for clothes. The small terrace in front of the room is a wonderful place to sip your morning coffee. We really loved the decoration in the room :) the restaurant on the other side if the road is also very nice, big portions and vegetarian friendly. The lady is very helpful with everything you might need.

It's a hidden jewel 😍 I only stayed 2 nights and it was so relaxing. Beautiful decorated, such comfy bed and spotless clean. The landlady is THE perfect host. She also has a lovely cafe with great coffee and healthy fruit-bowls. She also helped me with the transport to the ferry-pier for Koh Chang. I already booked again at Artist's Place Trat when I will return from Koh Chang. HIGHLY recommended!

A beautiful place. In a quiet part of Trat. Charming owner, who helped immensely. The room and place were very artistic and quirky. The whole stay was excellent. I was able to rent a scooter and was guided to the local lake where the sunset was incredible. The night Market is a 10 minute walk away and is full of great food and local colour.

So calm and peaceful. Beatufil design of room and environment, little garden in front of room with individual seating and friendly cats. They had a cafe amd restaurant next door as well. Alongside the street is a riverside walk, great for sunset. Close to the town and in a nice artsy area. Would stay again if I am back :)

Travelled with husband, 17 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter. First time to Thailand. The resort was small, which meant it didn’t take long to get to and from anywhere like restaurants, beach or pool. We loved the food served by the pool and in the restaurant and although more expensive than local restaurants, we ate here most nights fore pure convenience. By English standards it was still cheap and very tasty. At this time of year the resort was so quiet. It was steaming hot and the sea water was also. There were also jelly fish in the sea but we didn’t mind as the pool was perfect. I would give this resort 5 stars except that the check in and out was not very efficient t and we were charged for a pool bill which we know we paid but didn’t have proof. Keep receipts (but you will have to ask for one!).

Dejligt hotel placeret lige til havet med lækker sandstrand og smukke solnedgange. Poolen er også placeret tæt på havet så man kan nemt gå fra det ene til det andet. Ved poolen er der desuden poolbar som dog ikke er noget særligt. Stedet har desuden minimarked med forskellige drikkevarer, is, snacks mm. Derudover er der en lækker restaurant placeret lige ned til vandet. desværre er der også nogen ting som ikke var helt optimale - værelserne virkede slidte og gamle og meget af personalet på stedet havde begrænset engelsk

It was a cheap room for a resort on the beach and ofcourse it ment samething. .. overal great place to stay. Big aria. Nice sea side however beach is not perfectly clean but there is amazing sweeming pool. I really enjoy it and wanted to stay longer but they close swimming pool for a week.... beside i recomend this place.

Amazing value. Great breakfast. Comfortable rooms. 5* service. A+ location. Pool area under construction, but ocean is right there and the walk to the other resort pool is easy-peasy. The only negative was there was no cold shower option. The low was still too warm for my Thai wife.

We had 8 fantastic nights here and the highlight of our 5 weeks in Thailand and Vietnam. Our first room had been made up to welcome us! We were later upgraded to an ocean view bungalow which was amazing. It was very hard to pick out an individual on the team who excelled, as from the staff on reception, the dining room, the house keeping, the garden and pool guys all contributed to our great stay. Our room was spotless, the gardens and beach were manicured, the breakfast was a variety of western and Thai dishes which we never tired of the selection and was constantly replenished. Around the pool there are sunbeds and on the beach there are deck chairs The beach is super safe and clean, no adverse currents and runs shallow to allow padding and then swimming. The beach bar was great and surprisingly not expensive unlike some other hotels I’ve stopped in. Around and about, we eat out in local restaurants, in particular Yummy, which was great value. There’s a 7/11 on the door and other places to restaurant options. We also had a couple of trips to Long Beach where the night life is a little more lively. I look forward to a return visit next year and probably take a little longer there next time.

Absolutely beautiful resort, the landscaping and the buildings design is stunning. As are the two swimming pools, beach from restaurant with great food, the beach itself was wonderful, so quiet and you felt like had a private island. I swam every day. Most importantly - the staff here go above and beyond everyone from manager, to housekeeping, front of house, gardeners, pool staff, restaurant staff, the whole team at Coconut beach were very kind people and I'll always remember that. Very sad to be leaving, absolute paradise. Also very close to 7/11, street vendors, massage and cafes/restaurants.

The room was great. I loved thhe decor and furniture so much, really beautiful! Breakfast was good :) i loved the omelet station! There were fresh beach/pool towels provided by the pool which was great! The garden is absolutely beautiful too! There were some amenities in the room such as cottonbuds, soap, shampoo etc.. 5/5 would recommend 👌

Been here in thailand for almost 6 years . Never have come across a halal resort, that served complete halal food . The staffs were very friendly especially the night dining staffs . The beach was exquisite , pleasant leisure . Swimming pool was fun , so much family friendly crowd, a must try huge array of delicious breakfast , even their restaurant menu were reasonably priced and very decadent. We loved spending most of our time in the beach and sea . Over all a lovely fun stay with family. My 8yrs old daughter had all the fun she cried when we left the resort.. The room we chose was next to pool, but it was old and there were many lizards which spoiled our night sleep . But the individual beach and sea view villa are good .

Kho Chang is a beautiful island covered with trees, mountains and waterfalls. There are perfect beaches on its western shore. On one of these is Coconut Beach Resort. It's scale and architecture suit this island. Some larger hotels there might as well be in overdeveloped cities. Accommodation is in clusters of two-story buildings innThai style, grouped around a beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. There are trees on the beach with hanging swings and womb chairs. The restaurant has tables at the edge of the beach. The Thai food is delicious - seafood in red curry, whole fish simmering at your table, grilled prawns - and there are cocktails to complete the holiday treat. Service is friendly and efficient.

We will definitely be coming back! We had a great stay at Awa, the pool, the views, the sunset, the drinks, the BREAKFAST is fantastic! We booked a room on the Hillside (across the road, not on the beach/poolside) which was fine for us. The room is large and beautiful, it was just a shame that there seemed to be power issues, which I'm not sure if that was an external issue...but this may have caused problems with the hot shower. They did fix it for us...twice, but it kept on coming on and off. But we still had a lovely time despite this. We would book again!

Amazing design, delicious breakfast with good choice, friendly and professional stuff. Big rooms with very comfy beds and cozy balcony. Only one bad thing that there is lack of beds by the pool and you must to wake up early in order to save a place for you near the pool

A great hotel with eager staff. We had a family room which was excellent value for money and we organised a brilliant snorkelling excursion through reception. The pool is a real highlight - 40 metres long, warm and not too shallow. Whilst we couldn’t access the beach directly from the hotel it was a short walk to Kai Bae beach which is beautiful. There was a lot of removing on during our stay as it was the wet season but it didn’t bother us a bit and meant the hotel was quiet and the service excellent. We definitely return next time we visit Koh Chang.

We loved our stay at AWA! We have been to Koh Chang a few times, always driving past AWA saying, "next time we'll stay there". We did and we weren't disappointed. The check-in process was straightforward and we were offered a room upgrade. The pool area is great for sunbathing and relaxing, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. My one complaint would be that the shower wasn't hot enough. The breakfast selection is great with lots of choice catering to everyone's needs. I would definitely stay here again.
