Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Koh Tao

Nice pools, view, bit out of the more busy area, you can rent a scooter/bike at the hotel. We had a pool access room, which was nice. Friendly staff, free snorkelling gear available. Breakfast was ok, not spectacular.

Nice property, rooms by the pool were worth the extra price… pools were nice to have a dip as it was hot hot… friendly staff especially Pim who helped out with everything quickly and with a smile, can get scooters at the hotel which you really need if you want to go see a few places around the island without spending cash on the super-pricey taxis… Tanote bay is beautiful and I love to swim so it was amazing to swim out far and see the fish and the scuba divers doing their thing without the busy ness of the boats around….

Absolutely fab location! We wanted something out of the way and on this side of the island and this hotel provided that. The villa was great, private pool and they knew they were out of the way so provided a 5L bottle of water in the room you could buy for 70 baht. The communal pools are huge and loads of sun beds. The restaurant was lovely, we ate there for our evening meal and all enjoyed everything and it wasn’t overpriced.

We loved everything about Tanote Villa. It was 5* hotel, we had a beautiful deluxe room with a pool access which was amazing. The room itself was huge, perfectly equipped, very relaxed. The hotel itself was beautiful, very well decorated. We loved the restaurant and the breakfast? Wow!!! One of the best we ever had with a breathtaking views. They offered gyoza and dim sum, egg as you wish, variety of Thai food and drinks. The location was excelent, just 5 mins walk to the beach with one of the best snorkeling spots in Thailand. 100%!!!

Everything was good, our room, the staff, the pool everything. Yes there’s lots of steps but that’s because of how the rooms are located adding to the charm and staff help you with your bags on arrival and departure. It isn’t really walkable to Sairee Beach but we got the free shuttle down before sunset then easy to get a taxi back which was 400 bht so not a massive issue. They also arranged us to get a taxi to Aow Leuk for the day easily enough and picked us up from ferry on arrival and departure for free. Pool was lovely as well one day we had it all to ourselves and it was beautiful

The staff ware really attentive, extra super nice, breakfast buffet was excellent with freshly squized orange juice and fresh fruit every day and so many varieties, sweet and savory. The room with sea view was stunning and the dining area as well. Room was big enough, had a flash lite for the stairs when dark but they have lightning of the stairs as well. Free shuttle at certain hours to take you down to Sairee beach but be aware they do not take you back up and the taxis are very expensive, 300 baht each way for a short drive. Free shuttle to the pier at certain hours when leaving Koh Tao. Beds are a bit harder but we like that a lot. Pillows very comfy. Lush garden, animals around, we loved that. Great infinity pool with wooden loungers. You get fresh towels for bathroom and pool with 2 bottles of water every day. We had a great time.

OURSTANDING - The staff, so kind, welcoming and helpful. They took time to engage with us daily, offering suggestions and assistance whenever possible. From the time they picked us up at the Pier to the minute we left, we were treated like family. I look forward to returning to meet these lovely people again. The property is lovely, so charming and clean. Has all the amenities we could have wanted. It's about a 20 minute walk into town from the resort, but they have several free shuttles into town throughout the day. Its a bit of an uphill walk back from town, but Taxis are available in the village. The rooms (private little Bungalows tucked into the jungle) are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I loved it!! The dining room on site was very convenient, and the food reasonably priced and delicious. The infinity pool is fabulous, and has the best view over the ocean.

My stay was fantastic. The location was absolutely beautiful, my room was wonderful, very clean and beautifully laid out with a spectacular view. The pool was amazing with a view across the island. It was small but I always found a sunbed. Despite some reviews there was a restaurant that did lunch and dinner which was always delicious and again had a great view over the water. I also noted in some reviews about the steps - I was at the bottom of the hill and there was a lot of steps but they were manageable and the staff helped me with my bags so it didn't bother me. The staff generally were very helpful and friendly. I did one boat tour and the rest of the time I stayed at the hotel as I liked it so much.

Tucked into the hillside with stunning ocean views, the resort’s cozy bungalows feel like something out of a storybook—possibly where Hobbits would go on holiday. While it's not within walking distance of town, the free daytime shuttle service is convenient. However, returning requires a taxi or scooter rental. The pool is small but still a relaxing spot to unwind. Though we didn’t try the breakfast buffet, the on-site restaurant impressed us with its scenic setting and excellent food—our kids claimed the pancakes were the best they’ve ever had! Prices are also reasonable.

This place has the wow factor. You couldn't get a better view, plus a private pool was the cherry on top. Worth the extra money. The family absolutely loved it. x

Where to start - honestly this place just blew my mind! It was absolutely incredible! We stayed in the Koi Pool Villa (one of the more expensive options) and I would pay it all over again! It was an absolute dream with a huge villa but not too big for two people. You of course had daily villa and pool cleanings, with a constant supply of complimentary snacks and drinks (water/coke/redbull etc) daily. The private balcony and pool really sold this for us - being able to sit on your own balcony not 10 steps away from the ocean was truly divine and to take a dip in the pool when you felt like it was a game changer ✨ If you’re worried about there not being a shop close by - DONT be! There’s a 7/11 about a 10 minute walk down Sairee beach which also takes you to a town section too, lots to explore and nice places to eat as well! Just a little walk from the hotel there and back ☺️ I would 1000000% recommend anyone coming to koh Tao to spend a little more and live a moment of luxury on this beautiful island 🏝️ All of the lovely people that worked there were so friendly and helpful too! 🤍

Really beautiful secluded property tucked into the hills and jungle. Private pool and balcony were very peaceful and the pool was surprisingly large. The floor to ceiling glass windows were really nice and the ocean view was spectacular. The breakfast served in room was also nice.

The room wasnt that modern but was nice enough and the pool was a really good one for a private pool. They also clean it dailly for you during your stay! Super nice staff

Absolutely beautiful and extremely unique hotel right in the heart of Koh Tao. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we had our own private patio with a stunning view of the sea. The hotel pool was right at our door step and even had a swim up bar.

Amazing property and we had the best room with the private pool. We loved staying here. Pat was lovely and very helpful throughout our stay, and even helped arrange us a private tour in a large boat for a great price. No complaints and definitely would stay here again!

We were located in the private lighthouse villa for our anniversary where we had our own private pool! It was an amazing location and we had a fantastic view. All the staff were so friendly and had a good variety for breakfast too.

This was the last place we stayed in thailand and we splurged a little so we could relax the last few days of our trip. Already excited, we arriced and were told they upgraded us to the honeymoon suite! Wow what an amazing room,private pool, giant bed, great views. They also let you rent snorkeling gear for free with a small deposit, so we went snorking which was beautiful. The only small negative we had was the night we went to eat at their restaurant, the food was pretty good but the service was a bit slow and they seemed a bit understaffed. Other than that this is a top notch stay and they really do take care of you. Lastly the stairs are a bit intense but totally doable.

The resort is in the most amazing location, really a beautiful setting on the hillside. Perfect for us although very steep with lots of steps which may be a problem for some. The rooms were clean and comfortable and serviced on request. Snorkeling is really great too right from the resort. Our only real complaint is the lack of service around the very beautiful pool area. We only had bar service around the pool on the first day we arrived, thereafter we used the phone at the poolside to call for service even though the sign said the bar should be open. The pool area would be amazing if there were staff around to serve drinks, offer towels, sunbeds and umbrellas. And the resort would make more money! Also it would have been great to be able to order food around the pool like most other hotels offer.

What an amazing resort! This was our second stay (2023 first time) and as we thought it could not get better, the beautiful people at Sai Daeng made it Even better than the first time! - amazing rooms, clean, spacious - good views! - great food! Breakfast, lunch, dinner….🤩 - lovely staff!!! No matter who or where at the hotel, everyone is lovely and helpful! - super extras!! Muay Thai, Yoga, Spa, kanoeing, ice bath… and pool DJ! Fabulous! And - of course- the resort itself! Great beach, great corals, great pool Definitely a 5 Star rating- we will come back a third time 🐠🩵🐠 Thank you, Sai Daeng

This is the most beautiful resort we've ever stayed in. The beach, the waters, the snorkeling is only rivaled by places we stayed in Fiji. We stayed in a beachfront room that was just 1.5 flights of stairs of the beach where the restaurant is located. The pool, reception, and parking lot is up about 4 flights of stairs that could wear on some people. If you were at a room on the far side I could see it taking away from the experience. The main areas of the resort are kept in great condition, the pool, restaurant and rooms are five star. Clean, modern, absolutely fantastic. Bed was the most comfortable we've ever had in Thailand and the view couldn't be beat. The areas less used appear to be falling into a state of disrepair, buildings that aren't used are dirty, some ponds left to wither away with garbage in them, half full of water and leaves, and the water slide doesn't look like it's been in use in at least a year. What really knocks the rating down for us, was the absolute absurd and offensive prices for services, food, and drinks. The resort is 15 minutes out of town and cab rides are 500 baht ($25CAD) each way, but that does not entitle management to charge 270 baht for a cocktail (>$10) and 1800 baht for a massage ($75) when going rates anywhere else in Thailand are 250-350 baht for the same thing. Luckily the resort next door is more reasonable and we spent our money there instead. One of the best resorts we've been to and unfortunately we wouldn't go back.

Absolutely beautiful resort set on the most gorgeous beach. We stayed in the family beachfront villa with our 2 teenagers, we had our own pool overlooking the beach which was amazing. Listening to the waves at night going to sleep was so relaxing. The villa was spacious & comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was a little hot & dark, but didn’t worry us. Being able to snorkel directly from the resort was the best part, so many fish & beautiful coral on the other side of the resort. Bring beach shoes as it’s quite rocky to get in. The beachfront restaurant was lovely & the service was good, reasonable prices too. When you book directly through the resort you get a private long tail boat tour around the island & massages in the spa included. Would not hesitate to come back to Koh Tao & Sai Daeng, just wished we’d stayed longer.

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The private pool and views made it worth every penny. They also decorated the Villa beautifully for after we got engaged.

The location is great - very close to the main pier, so you can just walk from there. Their restaurant is on the beach. And it's quiet enough during the night. My room was spacious and had pool access. The pool is very nice and clean. The bed was very comfy.

we had a large private villa with private pool. The view is stunning, the villa is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The staff is very friendly and waits on your arrival to help you carry your bags and make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Perfect getaway with a wonderful view. Away from hustle and bustle but driver on hand at all times to take you where ever you wanted to go. Beautiful and clean. The private pool was a bonus. Fantastic staff who were so helpful.

We loved our stay at Monkey Flower Villa, our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We did wonder how we’d manage to get about as it’s set back from the town, up a very steep hill, but huge thank you to Steve who was always there to pick us up and drop us off! The view was incredible, loved the private pool, and all the gorgeous details in how the rooms are created and decorated. Housekeeping were amazing and the place was super clean. There loads to do within a short distance on the island.

Everything was fantastic, however, the best part of Monkey Flower Villas is the staff! Located just out of Sairee Village, with amazing views, a private pool, well appointed furniture and open floor plan! We loved having a free ride to and from locations on the island and the staff gave great recommendations! The cleaning crew came daily and kept the Villa spotless!

the villa was comfortable and clean with fantastic views set up in amongst the jungle. the villa is decorated beautifully with a great kitchen, living room with TV and private pool with terrace. we had lots of menus from local restaurants that deliver and the staff were so kind and helpful.
