Great overall, even better than I had expected. Room much better than the photos suggested (quality of linen amongst best ever, in any five-star I've stayed in, and bathroom spotless with constant piping hot water for bath). Pool-side room with direct access from room patio door to pool area was great. No need to worry about noise around pool as not so busy and everyone well behaved! Could go in and out of room to pool and other facilities very easily. Hardly used corridor entrance to room during entire stay. Breakfast buffet excellent, best choice of fruit and pastries, even though cooking station very, very slow, for hot egg dishes. Better to use frying pans rather than hot plate? Bar area outdoor terrace was also very nice in evening sun, but quieter rather than lively. Hotel a bit shabby in places, as over comments have said. They could really enhance pool-side area by putting cushions on recliner (but plenty of recliners and no rush every morning, as not that many rooms) and putting in some new parasols, as look very shabby. Stunning location righty by boardwalk that takes you to all interesting viewing and swimming spots. About a 20 min walk to town centre and restaurants. Quick taxi journey. Spa also great with own outdoor pool. All staff super helpful and friendly. Final tip: this is a super relaxed experience, calm and quiet, with amazing views and walks nearby, but if you're looking for somewhere with more of a buzz / atmosphere, it might not be for you!

We had a lovely time here though we were disappointed with our ‘suite’ on the ground floor with the pool view. It was tired with dark worn furniture which took the shine off for us. The maintenance directly outside our room was not very good either. The staff though I have to say are all very nice and very accommodating. The actual pool was not heated but was very refreshing. Poolside food was excellent although we didn’t like the fact that the 10 euro drinks came in little cans that you could buy from the supermarket for 1-2 euros each. The cushions on the loungers by the pool didn’t look that clean sadly. They had stains on them which wasn’t pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and plenty of staff on hand to help. The bar upstairs was very nice too and the actual restaurant off the bar was always busy, albeit quite expensive. For service I believe this is a five star but for the quality of our room I would say it’s a 3 star, very expensive for what the room cost us.

This hotel was amazing in every way. The views outside the hotel were breathtaking. To the back was the most beautiful cliffs and to the left was the mountains and city. And there were numerous walking trails and boardwalks right outside the grounds. The sea view superior room was huge and beautiful and well equipped. The bed was so comfy with wonderful bedding and pillows - firm but giving. The bathroom was huge with a tub and large shower. Huge balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast was very good with outside seating available and a coffee bar and champagne. Valet service was quick and the staff was soooo friendly. It’s a quick drive to old town Lagos. The spa was clean and had a sauna and steam room as well as a small outside jacuzzi and large heated pool at no extra charge. The normal pool was large and beautiful and there was even a baby pool. I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in Lagos. And even a great value for everything we got.

Cascade is the perfect spot for your stay in Lagos. We had a beautiful room which included breakfast. The breakfast is outstanding with mimosas, coffee and a full buffet with excellent service. We were provided with a welcome drink at the bar which was a nice touch. The resort is a 4 euro uber ride to Old Town which is 10 minutes away. After a beach day, it was always nice to come back and relax by the pool. You could also opt to sit poolside all day. The staff were all so nice and helpful. The only comment I would make is extended pool service hours for food and drink in the warmer weather. Otherwise our stay was fabulous and we can't wait to return. We debated for months over several options and were thrilled with our choice. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely 2 bedroomed apartment, very spacious, very clean with balconies from all the rooms and a rooftop sun terrace! Very well equipped kitchen for self catering....comfortable lounge and beds! Excellent ensuite and bathrooms...... The main hotel offered access to the bars and restaurant and beach pool areas. Drinks in the Lighthouse bar which overlooked the pool. Reception staff were helpful and friendly and help was given to locate the apartment - this is a large complex! The garage parking was excellent with direct access to the apartment door - great with luggage! Outside pool and other activities were available! Good location and access by car to Lagos and surrounding areas.

The staff are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a whole variety of accommodation so choose wisely. I loved my room (268) quiet and sea view, good size. Very clean. There are more modern rooms available. Breakfast offers something for everyone . The pool area is a little tired and they really need to clean the algae from the pool and the glass bannisters of bird poo daily that are all around the pool area and the restaurant terrace. Well positioned as great beach (and lift down to it ) the better beach sunbeds are to the right not the ones in front which are too far from the water. Lovely boardwalk to the harbour bars / restaurants or it's a quick cab. Great little beach bar / restaurant to the left as you come out of the beach exit overlooking a calm small cove which is great for children.

Amazing and varied breakfast. Kind and dedicated staff. Well maintained hotel, keeping architectural features from the 60s. Confy room. Many esplanades, elevator for beach. Very decent indoor pool and spa. Nice swimming pool facing the beach.

The property was excellent- very clean - very relaxing, especially in the bar on floor 1 which played moody jazz quietly in the background - Nice!!😂- only stayed for 1 night in November, but the facilities, indoor pool; spa; gym on floor 1; outdoor pool etc. would have got used otherwise. My sea view balcony room on floor 4 was lovely, comfortable and clean and a great sun trap throughout the day with an uninterrupted view to the sea and beach approx 100m away. But whilst the fabric of resort was great, the staff really make this place 👏👏👏 - very friendly; efficient; can’t do enough for you 10/10. It’s a short 5 min taxi or a nice 30 min walk along the boardwalk alongside the beach to get to the village of Alvor itself which has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The buffet breakfast provided plenty of choice and was good without being top notch 8/10 I understand there is plenty of golf courses close by; so I would definitely rebook this place for a golf trip if I return in the spring/summer

We stayed in a 4 bed villa with private pool the villa was lovely well stocked with everything you could need , spotless clean couldn’t fault it at all , the area is beautiful really nice place restaurants onsite were lovely miss pasta especially, restaurants have a takeaway menu so you can bring it back to your villa if you want to which is great if you have kids that won’t sit easy eating out , alvor it’s self is beautiful overall brilliant experience all the staff were really nice would definitely recommend

We (4 adults, 3 children) spent nice and relaxing holidays in a 4 bedroom villa with private pool in PRAINHA VILLAGE. The complex is well maintained and very green. To our positive surprise it was very quiet. Who can do without entertainment at the pool, children's disco and other events, is in good hands. The villa is very spacious, modern and equipped with a good kitchen. Unfortunately, the corkscrew was missing for a good Portuguese wine :-) Another small minus was that WiFi costs extra. The beaches nearby (<800m) are definitely worth a visit. One beach with the typical rocks of the Algarve, the other is a long sandy beach next door. Holidays in Prainha Village are highly recommended. We will be back :-)

family of 5. 3 childrens ( 12, 10 and 7) we booked the hotel direct and this was the start of the first class service. The hotel arranged the transfer from Faro for us and we always found the staff very helpful . Especially the restaurant, Monica and her team( more about that later) We stayed in a villa that was massive. 3 floors , 3 terraces, Lower floor consisted of 2 bedrooms ( suitable for 3 kids) and 2 bathrooms. mid level was the entrance , dining and kitchen, and the top was the lounge. The decor is slightly dated , however interior design was not the reason for the holiday and everything was clean and worked. The complex has a well stocked shop, several restaurants and 2 no. pools that we took full advantage of. The atlantico pool is fantastic. We were there for a week and should have stayed longer, We had a walk to Alvor (about 30 mins with plenty of stops for refreshments) , we had a day at splash and slide ( brilliant) and a little visit to Praire da rocha ( as expected) To conclude - we stayed half board and this made the holiday even better. Firstly we didn't have to cook! but secondly and more important Monica and her team looked after us every morning and night - what a team. Always smiling, welcoming and accommodating. Thankyou all.

Very recommended place to stay with the family (with kids). We enjoyed a lot the beach Tres Irmaos and nearby beaches. Very recommended Atlantic Pool and Restaurant in the Pool at the beach (Caniço). Thank you to all the people that works there, they treat us excellend and very professional. We’ll back for sure

The Unit we got is a pretty large apartment like, plenty of room, good side bathroom and kitchen and the living room with balcony was just perfect. The weather in Alvor is just awesome, not too hot, not too humid, not too cold, just perfect. no need for air conditioning. the high speed internet and IPTV worked awesome and I was able to sign into my Netflix account easily. I wish I had more time to explore the region. I would love to come back to Aldeamento do Prainha and explore more.

Everything was perfect but no AC in the apartment. Nevertheless, the quality/price was excellent.

Adults only was a new experience for us and so good…the resort was peaceful! Pools were a calm space and no early risers. The resort is very unusual in its set up with the rooms set at different angles with different outdoor spaces.2 pools with plenty of very comfortable loungers. The breakfast was the best I’ve seen outside a 5 star hotel…a fabulous spread each morning served in a lovely indoor/outdoor space. Highly recommend

Beautiful, clean, peaceful property. Ultra well kept common areas and villas. Spacious. Beautiful pools. Breakfast spread is a beautiful sight, all kinds of perfect, gourmet delicacies. Way more food and options than the average person would need or expect. It was lavish and a highlight of the day. Pool water is cold but refreshing. Staff is reserved but very helpful with information when asked.

Felt like an oasis! Pool, lounge and breakfast areas were very clean! Staff were very helpful. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. We stayed in room 35 (little bit bigger, more simple, very private) and switched to room 14 (smaller but nicer and nice patio on the pool deck). Breakfast was a different selection every day and a big spread! Location was perfect for us but we love walking. About 15-20 mins to get to old town but only 2 mins to get to beach/boardwalk. Ubers were about $6 a trip to town if you don’t feel like walking.

The room was nicely decorated and had all the essentials, we particularly enjoyed the balcony. The pool area is very calm and makes for a great place to relax, it is also good to have two pools to enjoy. Location is quite convenient as there are some restaurants within walking distance and also a medium size beach (Praia Dona Ana).

LOVED this place. One bed villa (pod) and private pool. Everything you need provided, bed huge and comfy, staff so friendly. Lots of seating areas - sun loungers, sofas, chairs on the pool deck, another seating area by the villa and another with a BBQ. Location is fab- quiet, tucked away from centre, but only a few minutes from Supermarket and 30mins walk to centre of town. Covered parking right outside villa. CATS AND KITTENS!!! Which I loved (please feed them if you go) though if you're not a cat fan might be off putting...Will definitely return here.

We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful location, amazing facilities, pods were new and extremely clean. The private pool was a huge bonus and the breakfast (delivered to your door!) was brilliant. Staff allowed us to check in at 1.30pm and we were also given a late check out (which we offered to pay for but were given for free - great customer service). Highly recommend and will be back

Wonderful stay for all of my family members it will be a place to stay in, for all future visits to Lagos. From arrival we felt the welcoming was a title for great stay. Zoriana was so supportive and attentive, welcoming and helping with a smile. We booked a deluxe apartment, was next to the swimming pool, absolutely wonderful. This place is special for those need to relax, looking for privacy & quite place. Swimming pool was good. Basketball court, football, tennis court...etc. Continental breakfast is delivered each morning, you had to fill the list of your preference the evening before.

The villa was very quiet and the location was perfect for our family holiday. The villa has everything you need and the concierge service was great.

Very large, ideal for multiple families. Great facilities in the villa and very close to the lovely small town of Alvor. Communication was excellent.

I had a lovely 2 night stay at my guest house, Manuela and her staff were more than welcoming, making it feel like you were staying with a family friend. The rooms are clean and the pool area is lovely, making it feel more like a hotel than a hostel. It's a bit of walk from the beach but not too far. Would love to stay again.

Love the kitchen and widely open living room with a dining table, sofa and TV. The garden is pretty with a swimming pool and few chairs. The room is quite big and comfortable. This place is Close to supermarket and a shopping center which is very convenient for travelers.

Friendly staff from Argentina, cool rooms, silence, secure storage for your belongings, swimming pool and grounds, location—in contrast to the previous hostel, this one felt like a five-star hotel to me.

Lovely hostel, good living space and pool area. Great staff especially Sean who was very welcoming and helped create a great atmosphere in the hostel.

Pictures do not do the place justice! The bedrooms are huge with ensuites in each one. The pool is very big. The hosts are super accommodating and friendly. People came down to empty bins almost every day so place remained tidy. Pool was also cleaned twice in 7 days.

The villa was big and spacious. The pool was lovely, each room was big and clean and the views was fantastic. The games room was great with a pool table and there was so many extra little things that made our stay fantastic.

We spent the first week of May 2023 our holiday in the Algarve and had chosen the villa Casa Santana in Lagos. It was a fantastic week. Of course because of the beautiful weather but also the excellent accommodation. We were nine people and the Casa is fully equipped for that. Beautiful living room, even a TV room, bedrooms with bathrooms and a kitchen equipped with all possibilities. We used the outdoor barbecue and the outdoor swimming pool which is heated. Use of internet gives an excellent reception via the free WiFi. We could make extensive use of the outdoor terrace for our breakfast, lunch and dinner. The accommodation is great. The location is excellent in Lagos, which is a great base for all kinds of activities and supermarkets are easily accessible. We had a wonderful week. Everything is well arranged and there is excellent contact with the landlord. Casa Santana is an absolute must.

This property is stunning and we had a wonderful family holiday. The pool was amazing and we loved the amount of space we had. The location was also fabulous with wonderful countryside and mountain views and the beautiful town of Lagos was €5-6 in an Uber. The Ubers usually arrived within 5 minutes so there was no need for car hire.

Upper room—a last-minute upgrade that we fully appreciated. It was so worth it! Beautiful private balcony, plunge pool, view. And then there was breakfast.

Amazing boutique B&B, lovely hosts! Wonderful boutique B&B in a lovely part of the Algarve. The hosts are lovely and made our five day stay very special. Our room (Nr 2) was large and faced the pool. The pool is fantastic, very quiet (no kids in this B&B!) and there is no fight for sun beds. We spent a lot of time under the huge fig tree by the pool. Breakfast was always excellent, with daily surprises and a nice selection of food (also healthy options eg musli, fruits, seeds etc). The B&B is a 20 min walk from Luz centre and a five min drive to Lagos. This area is great if you want yo avoid the crowds and mass tourism.

Casa Luisandra is a true home away from home. Marlene and Connie are incredible hosts, and have thought of every little thing you might need for a relaxing stay. It felt like they were genuinely delighted to welcome us to the b&b. The breakfasts were the best we’ve ever had, with Marlene presenting breakfast “surprises” daily, and different health shots and juices daily to match. The b&b is so peaceful, and walks through the surrounding fields are a treat. Comfy beds, extremely clean rooms, jacuzzi and beautiful pool with fully equipped pool kitchen, beach equipment for use, you can’t ask for more! We hope to stay again one day.

Where does one begin to even say how amazing one's stay at Casa Luisandra Boutique Hotel B&B is :) Your hosts, Marlene & Conny, I remain speechless. They are so wonderful and welcoming to their home. I tip my hat to them because they look after their worldwide guests in an extra special way. I could write a novel on the entire stay but one simply needs to venture to their property to experience top-notch, first-class treatment at every turn. The morning 'surprise' juice shot, fresh smoothie and orange juice was something I so looked forward to. Breakfast every morning... WOW! I was fortunate to stay with Marlene & Conny for a week and cannot wait to return. I am in the tourism industry so this review is genuine. I so enjoyed unwinding by their beautiful pool each afternoon and the views from everywhere throughout their property were breathtaking. Marlene & Conny, thank you so much for making my home away from home so welcoming. Martin :)

The breakfast was exceptional. It would grace any 5star hotel. 3 juices - orange, a smoothie & a tonic; fresh fruit; cold meats; cheese & salmon. Choice of cooked breakfast; Limitless coffee, etc. And a surprise, which ranged from a mini pizza to a cheese & ham tart. This is no ordinary B&B; this is a boutique hotel. One has free access to pool; barbecue; lounge with balcony. Wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks available for purchase. There is free parking. Uber takeaway deliveries. It is close to Lagos & Luz but quiet and airy. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The hosts are wonderful. Marlene, Conny, son Pele & Jazz (cat) all intent upon making your stay wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and they want you to feel 'at home' - the front of the house and garden is for guests, whilst the family lives at the back of the property. This Boutique Hotel is as close to perfect as one can get.

The villa is amazing, just like in the pictures, one of the best ones I've seen in Algarve on this website. It fit 8 of us with a small baby very comfortably. The location is amazing, just 10min drive from Portimao, with its amazing Playa da Rocha and good restaurants and also 5min drive from Alvor, which also has a nice beach and restaurants. The house is very large and our 1 year old baby just loved walking around and exploring every corner. The best part was the pool area, which has gorgeous garden around it, a barbecue and most importantly, a heated pool, which was the icing on the cake. Rooms were nice and spacious, beds were comfy and kitchen was sufficient. Host were super responsive and attentive, communication was really easy. We had an amazing time and might be returning back in the future!

Very spacious and clean with everything that we needed. Lovely pool and garden area. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Location is great, very close to Alvor town and Portimao; as well as a supermarket and nice restaurants. Would definitely love to come back again.

The villa was spacious, extremely comfortable and well-maintained, set in a lawned garden with palm trees. private pool and sheltered outdoor bar with brick-built charcoal barbecue. The whole property was discreetly screened to afford privacy for guests, and Eduardo himself was always available on the phone to answer queries and immediately attend to any problems, of which there were few.

Amazing property fantastic garden and pool area . Good location less than 10 min drive to Lagos . Beach towels provided, which was a bonus and saved us on luggage. The villa was spacious and regular cleaned during our stay. Pool and garden area were also very well maintained. We found it very relaxing due to the privacy of the pool area .

I loved the privacy of the villa, both in terms of it being outside Lagos but still very close but also in terms of privacy from the other two villas. The villa itself is lovely, two bedrooms at opposite ends of the building, pool was perfect for what we needed (i.e. we are not Olympic level swimmers) and pool loungers very comfortable. BBQ facilities brilliant and we had a really good barbie, all enjoyed very much and also, cooking utensils, crockery, cooking facilities inside all fabulous and lovely to have such good quality items in a rental property, not what we had expected so very pleased with this aspect of the villa. Eduardo was so easy to communicate with, nothing was too much and same for the cleaning ladies, they worked to our schedule and were lovely to chat with.

Casa Paula surpassed my expectations. I knew it would be really nice based on pictures but it was so much nicer in real life. The outdoor area was really well kept with a clean pool, nice gardens and a really great barbecue area. Plenty of seating by the pool and there was sun and shade to enjoy. The inside of the house was really big and so comfortable. It stayed nice and cool all day. The location was great, only a 5 minute drive from the centre of the town. I will definitely be back to stay.

Casa Rosa Floresta is amazing. It is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spacious and in a great location. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean . The management team are very responsive, we had a problem with the gas job which was addressed immediately. Nilda, the housekeeper, was really hard working and did a fabulous job.

A wonderful stay at a spacious and comfortable villa with all of the amenities desired to make it a relaxing and enjoyable stay for the whole family. The location is perfect, in a quiet area outside of the town of Lagos but within 30 minutes drives of many attractions such as water parks, sand sculptures and more. The host was friendly and very helpful, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. We will definitely be recommending Villa Allegria to our friends and hope to come back at some point in the future.

Bedrooms very comfy & spacious, the master has its own balcony & a multi-jet powershower in the ensuite, the other 2 bedrooms share a balcony & bathroon - all overlook the pool which gets the sun from late morning until early evening - fab ! Lounge has 2 comfy sofas & 2 Ikea Poang chairs with a fancy curved TV, as well as a huge dining table - tho' the Sunflower theme is a little overdone !! There is also a downstairs toilet & shower as well as an outside shower by the pool. And a great BBQ space at the side of the villa, with a handy washing line at the back. Plenty of off-road parking for 2 cars ; & shutters on the the patio windows on the property kept it nice & cool inside

Lovely well-equipped and spacious villa with great pool and outdoor kitchen/dining area. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need & the owners had kindly left lots of extra bedding & blankets (which we appreciated on the cooler oct evenings).

It is very close to some beautiful cliffs, very short drive (5mins) to the most beautiful sandy beaches. The apartment has a beautiful balcony, is well equipped with comfortable beds. All very organized. The three pools make it perfect.

Enjoyed the space, equipment, sun terrace and cleanliness of the apartment. Can also recommend to use the facilities with sauna and jacuzzi. Apartment is spacious and offers plenty of options to sit, rest and eat. Kitchen is fully equipped and of high standard. Location is a great point of departure for exploring the surrounding beaches, towns and landscape. Bring your own car or a rental car when planning to explore the area.

Great apartment with good facilities. Great internet and even TV channel choices was surprisingly very good. AC worked great but didn’t really need it as weather was amazing!

The location of Marina Club resort was perfect! Right on the marina with a balcony facing the water and boardwalk where we could sit and watch all the activity. The room was large! With a living room, kitchen area, separate bedroom and a bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We didn’t use the pools but saw a lot of people enjoying them. They had a kiddy pool and a nice big swimming pool for adults. It looked very nice. Breakfast was included with our stay and was a great spread of different dishes. We would definitely stay there again!

The pool was great. Proximity to the marina, to supermarket, to the old town. Easy to drive to the beaches. Great little restaurant plus snack bar by the pool, as well as good loungers by the main bar. Receptionists were very helpful and gave advice re restaurants, beaches, farmers' markets, events in town etc. Enjoyed a speedboat trip to the seacaves. Lots of boat trips available. Great atmosphere in the marina area. Loved it. Would happily go back anytime. Great for families, with a shallow pool for the toddlers. Can book sub aqua lessons.

The room was quite large with a dining area and full kitchen. Bedroom was big with a large closet, big programmable safe and comfy beds. Staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. Our balcony overlooked the pool and was a nice view! Pool is cold but very refreshing when it gets so hot in Lagos! Walk into town in about 15 - 20 minutes. Large grocery store (Pingo Doce) super close by. Decent happy hour near the pool too.

This little one-bedroom apartment was perfect for our group of 4 (3 adults and a teen who are all family). The two couches in the living room converted to excellent beds (they were not pull-out sofas that can be uncomfortable) There is a well-appointed grocery store within walking distance to get provisions so we could make a nice breakfast and the little kitchen had all that we needed. Everything was clean and the decor was minimalist and functional. It was winter so we can't comment on the pool (outdoor, not heated) and we didn't want to pay to use the indoor pool. Laundry machines within the resort complex. The resort is located about a 20 min walk from the main town; fine for us but if you need to be right in the middle of everything select a different property. Friendly staff, parking on site included.

Family friendly! First family holiday with my two young children and husband. My mum had visited marina club on three previous occasions and sold going here to us. Apartments spacious, spotless and cleaned daily. Pool and outside areas cleaned daily.We chose 1 bedroom apartment with the marina and pool view and this didn’t disappoint. Good size balcony with a beauitful view lovely drying area included. Staff incredibly friendly throughout our stay. Ideal location.5/10 walk to local supermarket that we visited daily. Short walk into the town. Very central. Plenty of lovely restaurants bars and coffee shops.So lovely to see other young families at the Marina. Lovely atmosphere. Richardo in the bar is an absolute gent fantastic at his job. For our first family holiday we weren’t disappointed. See you next year.

Wow!!! This is the best word to describe our apt at Mar Da Luz. An unforgettable vacation. Located in the peaceful town of Luz, this resort is ideal for families who want a perfect vacation. Our apt was very spacious, two baths, nice balcony and garden and a private pool which we all loved and used a lot. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made the cooking very easy. There is a private parking space for each apartment. The resort offers an outdoor pool, which we didn’t really use because we had our own, and an inside pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and Hamam. The indoor facilities were fun to use in evening times when it’s colder outside. There is a small gym as well. The resort is 10 min drive from downtown Lagos and a few min from the center of Luz. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of our vacation. I forgot to mention how clean the place is. Every couple of days our towels were changed and apt cleaned. Would definitely come back!!!

Mar da Luz has very nice apartments. The apartments at the ground floor have a private swimming pool, the ones at the first floor have a big terrace with nice view over the ocean. Our apartment was big with two sleeping rooms and two bath rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, two coffee machines (filter and capsules) and a toaster. There was a big smart TV and airco / heating system. Next to the big terrace (with the view over the ocean), there were also two smaller terraces. There is also a hot tub, but it seemed a bit old and not clean (so we didn't use it). The reception is located in the central building, next to a small fitness room (with some cardio machines, one (rather old) multi-function machine and enough dumbbells to keep your musles fit) and a spa area (with a small but nice indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a nice sauna). The personnel and cleaning staff were really friendly. Wifi connection was good and fast. The resort is located in a very quiet neighborhood, 5 km out of the center of Luz. We were not in high season which could explain why it was also so quiet in the resort itself (it has 15 rooms, 6 were occupied when we were there in April). There are some restaurants close-by, but you need a car (or bike) to get there.

We stayed for one week and absolutely loved our time here. The apartment was very clean on arrival. The view from the patio was stunning. The furniture and bathroom were modern. The kitchen was fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and all items needed for a comfortable stay. The reception staff were very helpful and gave clear guidance when asked. The indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and outdoor pool were clean and well kept. The gym was also great. The location is quiet in a residential area with pleasant walks nearby. It is about a 10 minute drive to the centre and close to shops. The apartment was quiet during both day and night which added to our rest. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. I recommend this property and would stay again without hesitation.

The hotel is slightly outside Praia da Luz so expect a 2km walk to the village if on foot; This didn't put me off as the hotel had all the better views of the sunset, hills and trees for being outside main tourist area and scooters were easy to rent. The rooms were cleaned each day, the staff always had a smile and were helpful booking massages, boat trips for us. The on site food is reasonable and good and the pool was clean and surrounded by well kept shrubbery, trees We went as a couple and thought it was a lovely setting, but there were quite a few happy splashing families poolside. If you are entirely on foot and hate walking maybe get something closer but I'd definitely recommend this overall.

I was worried about staying here after reading a few of the reviews, but we shouldn’t have been worried at all, this place is a little piece of heaven, tucked away from all the hustle & bustle. Yes, you need a vehicle (a hired ped, or car) but once you’re there the staff are welcoming, the pool area is superb and the room (poolside no.4) is perfect. A short trip into Praia de Luz for an evening meal and you could want for no more. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable and relaxing.

The hotel is very beautiful. It's in the middle of nowhere, in a very quiet and relaxing place, but still very close to Luz and Lagos by car. The pool is awesome and the restaurant has a great view. There is private parking inside. Our room (with the pool view) is very large and has a small kitchen which was very handy.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The setting is gorgeous - pool view one side and mountains the other. The apartment was small but equipped well (although no oven) but it felt light and airy and was perfect for 2 people. Would suggest this complex if you like the peace and quiet but want to be a short drive/taxi ride to Luz or Lagos.

This was a treasure to find. My family stayed one night, but I wish I could stay longer. It was beautiful. The room was comfortable. We arrived late and they had the pull out bed ready. The bed was comfortable. We had the garden view of the pool. The place is beautifully landscaped.

We stayed in the upper guest house and loved the private pool and outdoor seating area. It was quiet and serene. The staff were amazing and it was a treat to be able to use the sauna and steam room privately. The guest house is located close to the waterfront, restaurants and the old town. Our favorite restaurant, Alma Lusa, was around the corner of the guest house.

I had the middle apartment on the ground floor with direct access to the pool. It was absolutely stunning and the views are breathtaking. The location is fabulous with a beautiful beach a few minutes walk away. 30 minutes walking the coastal boards takes you to Ponta de Piedade … amazing scenery, and carry on further around for another 15/20 minute and you end up in Lagos. After all the walking there was no better way than to relax in the pool!

Luis was super. A late booking so hadn’t done much research on the area but he gave a very comprehensive guide of everything to do in the area and beyond. Beautiful apartment, well set up with stunning sunset views and lovely pool area. Lovely guests as well. Set away from the main old city so a car is good to have - especially walking round in the heat. Pool lovely and refreshing for after day trips and sun bath.

We were met at the door by the host who helped carry the suitcases up the stairs, showed us to the room, showed us where everything could be found. He also gave us several suggestions as to restaurants, and hikes to explore the area. The apartment is great for 2. Nice balcony which overlooks the ocean cliffs and the pool. Lovely pool and walkable distance to the beach. A great stay!

The property and pool is fantastic. My room opened up right to the pool, which was perfect after a warm day. Location is just a short walk to the beach and 2 restaurants. The family that owns the property is very nice and helpful. They offered waters and a variety of snacks which was a pleasant surprise

We had done a lot in our planned fifteen day stay when we were rebooked because we couldn't get home because of Hurrican Ian in Florida. So with an extended three days we headed to the beaches and found Vivenda Solmar. Our two night stay here was just what we needed. We found it relaxing and the view from the balcony was exceptional. The yard and pool were adorable and very inviting. In our short stay, we ate at both the restaurants on the beach that Carmen pointed out when we checked in and they were both great. We failed to make a reservation for Friday night so we couldn't repeat, which we definitely would have. We walked on the beach and really enjoyed our stay here.

Limited choice but cooked fresh and delicious. A dog friendly establishment which is truly dog friendly. Other than in the pool itself and the dining room your dog is welcome around the hotel. It is a small hotel with all room’s opening out to well planned seating areas amongst the plants and the pool. Areas available for enjoying the sun, quiet contemplation and socialising. The owners have ensured that the hotel is environmentally friendly, consciously adopting minimal impact on resources. Hotel and all rooms powered with solar panels. Will absolutely return for another visit when possible.

First class accommodation, the apartments are spacious and clean. As is the pool and pool toilet facilities. Not the biggest pool in the world, but was more than sufficient for us and was never overly busy. Free safe in the room was a bonus, reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered the use of the luggage room on our departure to have a shower and freshen up with towels and toiletries provided all for free. This was my second stay and we will definitely be back.

Perfect location right in the town centre. Bars, restaurants and shops all within a minute walk. Beach roughly 500m away (7-10 min walk). Never an issue getting sun beds at the pool, no need to get up early to reserve them! Plenty of food options at the pool snack bar. Pint at the bar less than 4 euro. Rooms extremely clean. Absolutely lovely holiday and stay at Alvormar. Everything was pristine. Location central and perfect for us - mix of town and beach. We were on roof terrace, which was gorgeous in the evenings. Bird chorus in the cental palm area was beautiful. Great pool area, with shade and very reasonable cafe. Pool a little small but never overcrowded. Nice garden area too. Overall, it was fantastic and great value. Deserves it's 9+ rating.

Just returned from 14 nights at the 'Blue Village' Family Resort. It was the most comfortable, well equipped, high spec accommodation we have ever stayed in abroad in 20 years of holidaying abroad.We loved the large balcony with countryside views, quiet pool area (with vacant sun loungers at anytime of the day!!) and very friendly staff especially the maids who kept the accommodation beautifully clean and changed the towels every 2 days! There is also a bar, restaurant, gym and tennis court if you want a night in. I would recommend hiring a car so you can explore Lagos at night and visit the local beaches. Meiea Pria beach is a beautiful , sandy beach and only cost €1 to park. A parasol and 2 sun beds was €12. Best supermarket was Aldi located very close to the resort. The highlight of our holiday was a return visit to Zoomarine for my daughter and son who swam with dolphins. It was an amazing experience for them and us as spectators.

Stayed here for one week in a 1-bedroom villa. Due to the Covid-19 crisis the resort was very quiet. Only 4 of the 30 villa's were occupied. We found the place top-notch. The villa's are spacious, well equipped and well maintained. The same is true for all facilities, and there are many. A tennis court, soccer field, beach volley field, full size lawn bowling, mini golf, and jeu-des-boules court. So enough to do other than sunbathing at the pool or on your villa's private terrace. The resort is a 10-min drive from all the major attractions in and around Lagos like Praira da Luz and Ponta de Piedade.

If you’re looking for a quiet place, good for kids and families close you Lagos, this is your spot! They had many activities happening around the property and were very close to the city of Lagos, although you would need a car to get around. Pool area was nice and food was good. The rooms were clean and spacious and it was nice to have a kitchenette and ability to do laundry. We had a great stay there and would go again in a heartbeat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side was the “spa”, I wouldn’t recommend!

My family and I truly felt at home here. We loved the distribution of the townhome and the outdoor patio. The resort was very relaxing but at the same time very fun for my kids who made friends in the trampoline and pool area. The location is phenomenal, close to Lagos, but with the advantages of being outdoors more in the country side which we loved. The staff was extremely friendly, and the towhome was very clean! We will definitely be back and will reccomend it to friends and family. Thank you Aldeia Azul Resort!

Great access to everything. Approx 5 minute walk from the train station - so it was walkable with bags. Gorgeous views. There is a pool and lounger area on the top floor (didn’t use the pool but was able to use the shower after the beach before my train). Staff was super welcoming and offered a ton of great tips, directions, restaurant recommendations. On a main road so felt very safe walking in the evening. Not far from beaches (walked). Room, bathroom and common areas were very clean. My balcony faced the bus station in the back but very little noise when the door was shut. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. Espresso machine in the room in addition to standard kettle.

Nice hotel across from the Marina and right next to the bus stop which is perfect as that was our mode of transport to and from Lagos. Good facilities and access to rooftop pool. Unfortunately it was a bit too windy so didn't utilise the pool as much as had hoped. Comfortable beds, good air con and comfortably sized bathroom. Easy walking distance to the beach and access to many restaurants.

The hotel has been beautifully refurbished… standard rooms are not large … they are however very nicely styled … blues connecting into the sea water beyond, adorned with lovely cushions, a sitting chair and pretty bed throws. We had a balcony overlooking the marina which was very special. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge were all working well. The rooftop pool looked gorgeous with lots of nice sitting / lounging space on two levels … unfortunately it was raining when we were there so we didn’t try them out. Breakfast was tasty if a little crowded … it’s a self serve buffet … a nice cold buffet selection, with some hot eggs and bacon available … we enjoyed the breakfast very much although we were wondering why given how much mostly unused space there is on the ground floor, why was breakfast served in such a small space? The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout… very smiley and keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Highlights undoubtedly being the staff, the room and the balcony… had it been sunny, I’m sure I’d be adding the rooftop pool and loungers to that list. We very much enjoyed our brief stay at the hotel.

We loved our time at this hotel!! It was clean, modern, great pool, lots of breakfast options hot and cold but what really made it for us were the staff - from the first person we met on Reception (Joao) to Amin at breakfast (and the girls!) to Thiago and Jose at the bar, everyone was so helpful and kind. It really felt like a family run hotel and we never felt like we were just a number. The hotel is outside the main town of Lagos but we liked that as it was very peaceful. It was a 20-25 minute walk into the main town where there were lovely places to eat (in the old town). The hotel is very close to the sandy beaches too but in the end we preferred to swim in the pool - there was always a lounger free and because the hotel isn’t huge, the pool area was never packed. We were in room 11, which was above the reception and although it was essentially overlooking the small car park with the pool to the left, the view when you sat down on the balcony was out to the sea - perfect for a quiet early morning read!

Exceptionally clean, spacious comfortable rooms, great pool bar and pool area and great breakfast. The guy who ran the pool bar deserves a special mention, his cocktail making was a real spectacle!

We stayed four nights at the Lagos Atlantic. Great boutique hotel with delicious options for breakfast including made to order eggs and omelettes. The pastries changed daily, which was a nice touch and added some variety. The pool area was perfect - plenty of room to lounge around without being on top of one another, nice little bar with fresh cocktails made by the bartender and all reasonably priced. Like others noted, it’s not walking distance into town but there is a small grocery / market about 5-7 mins walk toward town that was popular with tourists and had everything from fresh vegetables, meats and dairy. Close to the Porto Mos beach which was huge and ideal for kids. Campimar right on the beach is not to be missed. Reasonably priced and probably one of our best meals in 11 nights in Portugal (O Jacinto in Quarteira would be the one competing for the top spot!). Rooms were generous and balconies, patios amd terraces were perfect overlooking the pool. Gym was well equipped and we seemed to be the only ones using it. Would definitely return if we visit Lagos again.

Great, clean and quiet hotel. It’s located just a short walk from Praia de Porto Mós, which was our favourite beach in whole Lagos. Breakfast in the hotel is simple but really tasty, everything is fresh, the staff is attentive and friendly. Lovely pool with sun loungers and a bar, plenty of space for everyone and you could always find a spot. The bar staff were great, taking care of everyone, checking in and serving tasty drinks. The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, which was perfect for us, as we were looking for a place away from the city noise and crowds. When we were checking out and our flight home was late in the evening, we were able to leave our luggage and still use the pool and facilities which was amazing and we really appreciated it! Special shoutout to Amin from breakfast who was always chatting to us in the morning, and Jose (plus another young guy whose name we didn’t catch!) from bar staff, always putting a smile on our faces and making a great iced latte!

We stayed at Atlantic Lagos Hotel for 4 nights and absolutely loved everything about it! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pool area was fantastic — especially the pool bar, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a great variety of options. The hotel is also perfectly located, just a short walk from the beach. What really stood out was the warm, homey atmosphere throughout our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos!

We stayed for 2 nights in October. We loved staying here. For the price, the place was amazing. We essentially had a whole house to ourselves, so much space. The area was lovely, only traffic appeared to be other residents or groundskeepers. Parking right out front was a huge plus point too. We didn't swim in the pool, but only because we were busy, we had planned to and it looked lovely. We didn't eat at the restaurants either, but had planned to. We would highly recommend staying here and we plan to book another stay in the next few months! Staff were helpful and lovely, there seemed to be constant maintenance of the grounds/street happening, but not annoying or a nuisance in anyway. They clearly take pride in their appearances and it showed, as the place was a lovely place to be.

Very nicely presented, spacious, clean and looked freshly painted. The Spa facilities were fantastic and staff were very helpful when we did not have caps to go in the pool. Only request would be to let clients know when there are classes so that we can plan ahead when to visit the Spa. The golf course looked in good condition although we did not play. The golf short game area has excellent green area to work on your short game however the putting green was not in 5* condition. Overall a very good place. If you have a car wiich I would highly recommend, all big supermarkets are about 10-15 mins away. Nice beaches and restaurants in Praia Da Luz about 10 mins drive.

Super spacious two floored house with two rooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is more than just a kitchenette but one you may find in a nice apartment. Big dining table with a terrace that leads to the inner garden/lawn. Upstairs a nice living area with comfy sofas. We only stayed one night but can imagine staying here a week. The pool and spa is a ten minutes walk away or a short car drive. The place is too far from Lagos to walk, also too far from the beach. By car no problem. The resort is primarily for avid golfers, for the rest there is not much to do.

The property was part of a beautifully maintained resort with spotless gardens and well-kept grounds, creating a peaceful atmosphere. It was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, whether for one night or longer. Just a note for coffee lovers: only enough coffee was provided for one morning, so it might be worth checking with the staff if you’d like more. The area was spotless, with a lovely view. Oh, my goodness, this hotel is heaven. It's basically a small, quiet, classy resort. We opted for a "Room with Pool View", and were thrilled when we got there to realize that meant we had direct access to the pool area from our patio on the ground floor. We had Room 007, a huge, well-appointed suite with fabulous kitchen and dining area, close to the entrance to the underground parkade for easy access to the car. The staff members were so helpful and welcoming, and we just loved our consistently superb and abundant breakfasts in the shaded poolside restaurant. We also indulged in reasonably priced drinks and snacks at the bar in the afternoons (the house white wine is excellent), and delicious pizza and salad some evenings. We did actually leave the hotel every day, but we could have easily stayed there the whole time. It's a short, pleasant, flat, safe walk along the ocean into Luz, and I highly recommend the "robalo" (sea bass) at Jacaranda if you're looking for dinner out. We particularly enjoyed and appreciated the distinct lack of loud booming pop music around the property. It felt like we had the whole gorgeous place to ourselves, and we were there at the beginning of the peak season in early June.

- Really friendly staff who were very helpful with suggestions for our stay. - Varied breakfast - they even provided non-dairy substitutes every morning for breakfast. - Very clean, spacious apartment with a large terrace directly onto the pool area - basically had our own sun loungers every day outside the apartment. - Pool was almost always quiet, sometimes we had it to ourselves. - Communal terrace area allowed us to do yoga with the sunrise. - Quiet location but still walking distance along the coast to the town. - Allowed a late check-out, to stay around the pool and use showers for our last day as we had a late flight.

My husband and I stayed here in September. What an absolute perfect location and stay. The room was enormous, the shower was strong and hot (I'm picky about that!). The people were friendly. The pool and pool area were clean and relaxing. It is in a quiet area perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery but also very easy to either walk or drive the few minutes into town. Also very convenient to neighboring Lagos or other Algarve locations. The morning breakfast buffet was well worth it. I had spent a lot of time looking at where to stay and I am thrilled with this choice.

Set among stunning private villas this small apart-hotel is perfect for a relaxing couple holiday. The rooms are spacious apartments with bedroom, kitchen/diner and a bathroom. Ours had a balcony that led out to the pool area. The rooms are air conditioned. The apartment is cleaned diligently every day. The pool and gardens are beautiful maintained. Breakfast is a relaxed hot & cold buffet style. Snacks and light meals are available from the bar. The staff are relaxed, friendly and very helpful when needed, otherwise invisible. We’ve been here twice now in September and chilled. Great value if you’re not craving excitement.

The apartment consisting of twin bedroom with very comfortable beds. Large, stylish living/ dining/ kitchen area, with large comfy sofa. Huge balcony opening onto pool area with great sun-beds, mattresses and pool towels. TV with net flicks facility. Small cafe on site with friendly staff serving delicious snacks. Everywhere is spotless, the apartment was cleaned to a high standard. it was quite a walk into Town but Ubers were cheap at €4, there's a restaurant within walking distance. Tiago and his team were most accommodating and we couldn't fault this place at all and will certainly return as it's great value.

Big rooms, super friendly personal, we booked kayak trip and dolphin watching tour directly in the hotel after arrival. The pool is amazing, 1 meter to 2 meter deep gradually, nice sitting area around, a bar next to the pool. The room is big, windows from both sides so theres really nice breeze all the time:) The hotel is on a small hill , very quiet and private. Who doesnt have rented car should order Uber in advance to get there, from lagos center to here about 5 euro.

We traveled in early Feb, the weather was warm and sunny. The place is super charming. Uber or Bolts can take you in and out of Lago cheaply if don't want to drive. The pool is lovely, the tennis court looks top notch for those who play. I will go in off season for sure. Heated pool is such a bonus!!!!

Originally booked for 2 nights, we stayed 6. We were in the main building, 103 with a view of the pool. Room was comfortable and included a fridge. Shower only, no tub. Bed was nice and firm. Small balcony with table and 3 chairs. Breakfast buffet was fine. 5 minute walk to good grocery store, 6 minutes to a dive bar and 10 minutes to an excelkent Indian restaurant. But the key to this hotel's warm and welcoming feeling is the staff. Rita, Carla, the granola lady, George (and his twin brother George) were phenomenal. They are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a great time during your trip. Can't say enough about this place as you can see. I will remember this place and the people for a long time.

The staff were amazing. I arrive late at night and hadn’t eaten and even though the kitchen was closed, they made me a toastie. The pool was a bit too cold to use (although it was April and cloudy for most of my stay) but the hot tub was a brilliant facility. You have to request to use it but this means that you’re the only one(s) in there and it’s very peaceful - I had no issues using it whenever I wanted. The gym was okay although not great for any weight training, mainly a yoga mat and cardio machine, but still a useful space to utilise. Will definitely go back if I’m in the area in the future.

Solar de Mos is a lovely, small, family run hotel. It is in a quiet location and takes about 20 minutes to walk or a 5 minute taxi ride into Lagos old town. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast has enough choice to satisfy everyone. An additional coffee machine would be beneficial at busy times. There is a quiet outdoor pool area with plenty of sun beds. There are a few restaurants in the surrounding area but Lagos old town has enough for a different one every day of the year. We will definitely be returning to the Solar de Mos in the future. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

The rooftop pool is incredible and provides an amazing view of the port and water. When we visited the beaches were filled with algae so the pool was a perfect spot to have. The rooftop even has a pool, fabulous tunes and day beds. The rooms themselves are spacious and large, holding everything you might need, including beach towels and beach umbrellas (cheering!). The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a hotel, allowing you to chose from any kind of eggs, steak, lamb etc. It was truly unbelievable to have such incredible quality of food and calibre of service all included in the room price. Do not hesitate to book this space, my partner and I are already planning our next trip back.

The very best thing about this hotel is the breakfast! It is the best hotel breakfast I have had. The food is so fresh and made to order. The coffee was exceptional. Not the typical batch brew you usually get at a breakfast buffet. It was made fresh and there were several types of different coffee you could order. I would go back for the breakfast alone! The design and decoration of this property is beautiful. The location is excellent. It is very close to the old town. There is a local market behind the property which was open when we stayed there. It had food trucks outside and an amazing atmosphere inside. Well worth a visit. There are also several very good restaurants nearby. We didn’t get cocktails at this hotel, but came back one evening to people drinking cocktails in the lobby. They looked fantastic! If we were there for another night we definitely would have sat in the lobby for cocktails. We had a room at the back (city view, not facing the marina). Honestly I didn’t mind the view. And the best part is the balconies with a city view get more sun than the balconies at the front facing the marina. Our balcony had sun all afternoon/evening. The pool is lovely and a good temperature. It is a small area but ample seating around the pool for the size of the hotel. We didn’t use the pool often as there are so many beautiful beaches close to the hotel that we used instead. We came at the end of October and had fantastic weather!

The hotel was great, very friendly welcome from reception and the staff were all excellent. The rooftop pool was a lovely place to spend time reading a book and watching the various boats come and go. You can also enjoy beers/ cocktails at the poolside as they have a manned bar which was really enjoyable. The food at the bar was also excellent - especially the burger. With regards to the location - You are a short walk from the centre of the town and we thought this was great not to be in the busy streets and rather be nearer to the harbour where it's a bit quieter.

The property is in an excellent location- close enough walk to the old town but far enough away for quiet evenings. The breakfast and table service were second to none- amazing experience! The pool was lovely and although small never seemed over crowded, the staff at the pool bar were brilliant.

So happy we chose to stay here. Such a nice hotel in a brilliant location. Amazing facilities including a heated roof top pool. Rooms are great, huge bed! Robes and pool towels included and a mini bar. The breakfast is unbelieveable and included in the rate. Will be returning!

Improvements could also be made at the bar / restaurant around the pool as they never felt very welcoming which meant we went to our friends' hotel instead to use their pool and pool bar / restaurant. Hotel is in a good location, close to the centre and the beach.

We had such a good stay here in this less built up area of the Algarve. Less is more, more space, more beach, more time to wander the streets, walk the board walk to the end, more ice cream shops, more local fishermen working in restaurants serving today's catch. A perfect family holiday! The hotel has everything you need, indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym table tennis and pool table. The breakfast is good, the evening 3 steaks for 2 people perfect. Every member of staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well set out, the kitchen had everything you needed for breakfast and simple suppers. Only a short easy walk to town, space to park, ability to use the facilities of other Pestana hotels in the town (Crazy golf, pitch and putt) made for an easy stay. Days out to Sagres , Silves, Zoo Marine and the famous stacks and arches on Lagos beach all within 35 minutes, 45 to the airport by the motorway made the best of the Algarve accessible to us

The room and facilities were excellent. Indoor pool and thermal suite were a great plus point. A great selection at breakfast time and friendly staff. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the room was refreshed daily. Robes and towels are available at the pool. Cocktails are very tasty. Great views from our room of seafront and gardens. All round excellent hotel.

Loved the room and ability to make tea and the occasional snack. The breakfast option was good value and very nice. We enjoyed the pool table but needed chalk. Swimming pool was great.

We stayed in a superior studio apartment which was spacious and modern with a lovely view. The hotel and grounds are so well kept and clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool area is really nice, plenty of sunbeds and areas to relax away from the pool.The location is great, halfway between the town and the beach.We will definitely stay here again.

Very good location to restaurants and ocean. Great neighbourhood. Grocery store within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking available in the street. The apartment was large and we had a view of the pool and an amazing roof top terrace with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Two bathrooms, the one by the bedroom was big. Large bedroom and livingroom. Beautiful pool area, but we went in April and the pool was too cold for us to swim. Others were more brave and went in.

Such a refreshing, peaceful light space, with a usable kitchenette which was important to us. The little balcony (ground level) was towards the pool, so having been here off season, it was super quiet and idyllic to look past the pool to the sea. Probably less privacy in this specific room if there are lots of people by the pool. For us in early March, it was perfect!

After being dropped by taxi at the vila and knocking on the door the lovely receptionist 'Eva?' welcomed us and gave us a detail briefing about the accommodation, the vila, pool etc as well as a map of the town with detailed information on eg supermarket, town centre, beaches etc. The studio was well equiped and had fabulous views of the pool area and the ocean and the added benefit of a furnished balcony ideal to chill out after a swim or sightseeing with a glass of wine or to enjoy al fresco meals. The most comfortable king size bed we have slept in for sometime. The location was perfect with part of the building close to the city wall. A quiet perfect location near the old city centre but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the buzy town, only 5-10' walk. Plenty of restaurants and beautiful architecture. Close to the beaches, marina and train station. The place was spotless and the domestic staff very pleasant, helpful and kind. Our departure was also very smooth and Jessica very helpful. If back in Lagos i will not hesitate to return to Baluarte vilas and request the same room.

The pool is even bigger than the photos! It gets all day sunshine so a great place to lounge in the sun. It’s a short walk to the beach and the centre of the old town. This hotel had a complete refurbishment in 2024 so it felt new when we stayed. It's been very tastefully done out. Everywhere is sparkling clean with a modern feel. We had a suite room, there is lots of space, with a great balcony area, and good sized bathroom. The double bed was a standard size which was comfortable. The room had a fridge, coffee machine and bottled water. The spa area is lovely, this area opens at 10am. Though the gym was open whenever. As were the outdoor pools. The weather was averaging around 26/27 degrees for our stay and the outdoor pool was refreshing though definitely fine for a pre breakfast swim. Loads of choices at breakfast. Its buffet style with hot and cold food. I've never tasted roasted tomato's so good! Plenty of pastries and the coffee is good. We didn't eat an evening meal here. Albeit lunch in the outdoor bar was very nice. This hotel is about 10 mins walk down the hill to the beachside, there are shops, restaurants. Though do look further than the restaurants along the front, for example, a restaurant called Latitude is extremely good and its not directly on the front. If I come back to this area, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. It's lovely and the staff are English speaking and super helpful.

The swimming pool and pool bar was excellent. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The spa facility, including sauna, was excellent. We enjoyed playing padel.

The hotel is nice renovated, the pool area is very clean, same the welness. The gym is nice, they could put some more weights, but still, you are able to do a proper training session. Dry Sauna is really good, have proper oven which heat it up very fast. "Cold mist" is a joke, but you can always cool down in swimming pool or regular shower. The hotel is a quick walk or 3 euro Uber ride from the beach. In my opinion the View is spectacular, breathtaking, best part of the stay. I could sit on the balcony most of my stay. Food is nothing special, i end up with sandwich with cheese and croissant with jam for breakfast. I would stay again in the hotel, just i would buy 6pack of water before arrival.

We arrived at 18:15 and had to wait at the reception untill we got the key to our room. Because of this we could not enter the pool/spa area anymore, as these rooms close at 19:00. This also goes for the pool. I think it was a bummer for us, because we payed extra for this hotel especially because of the facilities, but unfortunately they close very early. Nevertheless, all facilities are very nice.

I have stayed at this hotel before and was so pleased to find that along with the beautiful new spa, the character and friendliness haven't changed at all. It's a small, quiet hotel in a lovely spot with amazing sea views and great facilities. My room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The pool bar food and drink offering have improved from my last visit and the sun loungers and parasols are a vast improvement. From the greeting on arrival in the early hours of the morning to checking out, every member of staff I encountered was friendly, authentic and helpful. Can't wait to return again.

I had a really great stay here! The property had all the space and freedom of an apartment but had the staff and reception of a hotel. It was very clean and bigger than expected! it had nice touches like the electric fan, hairdryer, kitchen equipment and the washing line and furniture on the patio. The pool area was great and the pool a perfect temperature. The location was perfect too, around 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Spar supermarket with everything you need only 5 mins away. Was exactly what we needed in the middle of our vacation, a nice relaxing spot with a pool! It is also walking distance to beaches, and some great restaurants (Restaurant Prato Cheio!) Very nice surprise, better than in photos. Studios are located on a walking distance from the old town, supermarkets, and beaches. The apartment was impeccably clean (and I can be fussy about cleanliness) with all the necessary facilities, comfortable bed and a big terrace with a pool view. The pool area and the garden are super nice. Owners are very kind and dedicated to this place. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The location was very close to the town centre and to the local spar. The pool area was well kept and pretty quiet so great for relaxing. We loved how our apartment was so close to the pool! What a lovely place to stay! Our room was huge and had a sea view, it was cleaned every day and had everything we needed for our 8 month old baby. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. The pool area was lovely and had a kids pool for our baby. Lovely walk into Luz every night for dinner.

Such a lovely setting in beautiful gardens with a huge, immaculate pool. The staff were exceptional and even allowed us to use all the facilities once we had checked out of our room. Maybe a little updating all round is required but we had a very comfortable room with a new bathroom overlooking the pool.

Breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean, well appointed, hotel staff was very accommodating. Room was on the ground level but private. Pool was cold but staff was great about keeping it clean. Door to deck was the only light, and a motorized screen allowed for blackout sleeping and added safety.

Gorgeous property really close to beautiful beaches and great vistas. The room was very clean and gorgeous! The multiple pools were incredible, also the steam rooms! Staff was very friendly all over the property and one thing that pleasantly surprised me was that the housekeeping staff cleaned the rooms daily and refreshed our towels, which were crucial with so much beach and sun/ pool, relaxation. However the highlight this property far and away was the BREAKFAST. The variety of local and breakfast food was incredible. I will never forget being able to eat octopus salad every morning for breakfast, lol.

The reception was good, we could enter about one hour before in our room. Meantime we had a snack in the bar, next to the pool. Very nice place. The bed was good, the bedsheets of very good quality. Towels big size. Pool towels had been offered. Really complete breakfast and the service has been great. Thanks.

Excellent resort hotel with indoor/outdoor pools. Huge quiet, clean, comfortable well-designed/furnished family room with balconies, view of pool, and beach towels. Comfy beds. Safe area. Spectacular breakfast with a huge selection. Very friendly staff. Exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed that I could walk right out of the room into the pool area. The pools were excellent and very peaceful. I also enjoyed the proximity to the praia do camillo. The breakfast was excellent with many options.

The location was idyllic. Beautiful views, close to the beach, with lovely pools - both a big pool and a smaller, more private pool just behind the building unit. I stayed in some other places in The Algarve and looked at a ton online and most places were either too far back to get a good view or had something blocking the view of the sea. But the building I was in (1) was just perfect. I liked it so much here, I extended my stay. The apartment had everything I needed and was spotless and comfortable. Parking was easy and there was a great grocery store not far away as well as plenty of activities to book nearby.

Traditional style architecture apartment complex with a great location just above a broad beach on a stunning cliff. You could see signs of aging, but the apartments and the whole complex are well mentained and euipped. The most impressive is the whole ambience and landscaping-lots of greens, trees, flowers and generous outdoor spaces. The outdoor pools are large, with sunbeds and umbrellas and the indoor heated pool is a conveneince in colder and windier months. We had a great time here!

Nice quiet, peaceful beach, no souvenir shops, ja handy walk to lovely beach. I’m afraid the weather was too cool for us to use the pool, and we found the “happy hour” too much of a temptation to use the indoor pool !

Clean room and property. Lots of amenities although we didn't use them all. Poolside drinks and food were convenient and decent. Clean pool we had almost all to ourselves. Nice view from the room not too far from cliff side boardwalk where you'll have stunning sunrise and sunset views

I loved the pool. It was massive. Like the biggest pool I’ve ever been in. I saw on Google earth the pool and thought it was an Olympic sized pool for some sports centre… turns out it was here! The site has been recently refurbished and part of the refurbishment must have included getting the swimming pool re-done for hotel purposes. It’s not deep but it is a big pool and despite the hotel being full, it never felt busy. Was a very quiet and relaxing area around the pool and it was always easy enough to get a free sun bed. Not many kids either.

The entire hotel was new,clean modern with a very good sized bedroom and balcony with an excellent bathroom and perfect shower. There was a small empty fridge which was good as it allows you to place your own products in it including milk to use with the good kettle to make your own tea and coffee,,not a coffee machine just a good kettle and cups for tea lovers like me. The pool itself was the biggest I have ever come across in any hotel ACTUALLY 50 m long, you should highlight this more, it is a excellent pool for swimming with 2 excellent pools of different depths for children and toddlers. The entire pool area was never overcrowded with good toilets. Lunchtime snacks were good but very limited, only pizza. There was a good value afternoon drinks promotion which made for a pleasant afternoon with not even a hint of it being rowdy around the pool or bar area.

Very well maintained hotel, with hotel rooms and apartments. The pool(3 of) consists of a full sized pool and two smaller children's pools. Staff are exceptional - helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Will be back.

Fantastic swimming pool. Clean pool towels available daily. Location was very central to the old town. Taxis cheap, generally between 5 and 8 Euro. Apartments were spacious, well maintained and clean. Fresh towels and cleaning every day bar Sunday. Very friendly and helpful receptionist staff. Poolside Bar - food very tasty.

Place was so clean and spacious. The pool was massive it was amazing, can pay €20 deposit for 2 beach towels and renew whenever and get your money back after your stay. The pool never felt busy or crowded even when all the sun loungers were full. Our room was clean and had a modern look, the mini fridge was so handy and the balcony was really nice too. The beds were super comfy with a blanket (too hot for a duvet) there was air conditioning to keep it at room temperature. Good lighting in the bathroom to do make-up as well as a full body mirror. The staff were always helpful (nice to know that the reception was open for 24 hours) they really got to know you and made sure you were having a nice time and were safe.

Location is great if you want to be close to a beach, but a little far from the center of Lagos if you want to be close to the action. We were two couples and stayed in a 2 bedroom townhome on the resort. The townhome was showing some age and could use a little TLC in some areas but it was very spacious with a rooftop deck and a nice patio on the lower ground level. The bedrooms each had there own ensuite bathroom which was nice. The kitchen was also nice and fully equiped. The townhome also had a clothes washing machine which was great (no dryer though). The only big issue is that neither of the outdoor pools were heated so the water was intolerably cold! We obviously weren't the only guests who felt this, because I only saw a couple of kids and very brave adults in the pool during our stay despite dozens of people being on the loungers around the pool. I pointed this out to the front desk reception and they told us the indoor pool is heated...but why would I want to be in an indoor pool when it is 25 degrees and sunny in the Algarve?? Please consider investing in heating for at least one of the outdoor pools for the enjoyment of your guests.

Stayed at the Belmar for a week with my husband and two children. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Firstly we were greeted by lovely reception staff who immediately made us feel welcomed. Check in was quick and we were shown to our apartment which was absolutely beautiful. We had the apartment which was opposite reception overlooking one of the pools. The apartment was immaculate and had all you could need and think of- even a blender for smoothies. They even provided spare washing powder and dishwater tablets. Very modern and spacious apartment, double sink in our en suite bedroom and another bathroom for the children. If I have to say anything negative it would be to bring an eye mask if you are a light sleeper as there aren't thick curtains, only sheer so when the sun rises it's very bright. But that would be the only negative for me! The 'Juice' bar at the main pool served lovely drinks and a good choice of ice lollies also for the children. Lovely views of the beach from the pool also and plenty of sun loungers. The spa was delightful, plenty of space in the Jacuzzi area, sauna and steam room along with a good size pool. Very convenient setting, there are two beach bars a couple of minutes walk and the cocktails were only €6 euros. If you want to go into Lagos it's only a 5/10 minute Uber trip which was only costing €4. Would definitely return, thank you!

We stayed at Belmar the first week in October in a 2 bed 1st floor apartment which was fantastic. The apartment itself has everything you need including a dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine. The apartment is very spacious with a long balcony overlooking the pool and with views out to the sea. The facilities within the hotel are also great - the spa was lovely and we made good use of a number of the pools. The staff were all very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing as possible. There's a lovely little juice/cocktail bar next to the pool which make the best mojitos! The hotel is conveniently located with plenty of parking available, just a 5min drive into town and a 3min walk to the beach. Check in/out was easy. Lagos itself is a great little town with lots of great restaurant options and things to do including boat trips out to see dolphins and the caves which we made good use of. Overall we couldn't fault a single thing and would 100% recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of booking.

Tv had all the streaming services, great for kids. 5 pools, getting a sun bed was never an issue, spa was great - could use the pool, steam room (when in operation) and jacuzzis. Provided with towels to change when needed. Great access to a lovely beach. Pool bar fab and lovely staff. Buffet in restaurant nice but very expensive . We stayed self catering Only negative to us as a family was location to anything else - 2 restaurants nearby- ok. Grocery shop about 15-20 min walk uphill. Great but then had to carry everything back. Lagos about 40 min walk through residential area. Uber were fantastic and used them regularly to get to Lagos and ponte de Piedade only €4 euro per trip Overall fantastic holiday in a gorgeous place

We absolutely loved our holiday here. We had a roof top apartment 3 bedrooms. Wow, incredible views, rooms are beautiful and the furnishings are classy and well thought out. Hotel restaurant is 10/10. So many pools to chose from and indoor pool and spa area with hydro large pool. Beach 3 min walk, perfect soft sand. We got Ubers into Lagos lots of times and also used the bus by the beach. Ubers are around 4 euros. This hotel is 10/10. My teenagers absolutely felt like they were somewhere only rich people come. Virtually everything! The pool is fantastic and we had lots of fun in the pool. The cafe served very nice food and the staff were all great. Our pool view room was spacious and comfortable with a great balcony for enjoying the evening sunshine. The football pitch was the highlight for our 8 year old boy! Vitor’s Plaza is an excellent family hotel.

Perfect for families. Lots of amenities - pools, pool bar, supermarket, clothes washing facilities and gym on site. Rooms were very spacious and kitchenette/balcony were great as we had to spend a lot of time around the apartment when baby was napping. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

I liked the deep pool (deep on one end) which had a good atmosphere, good balcony view from our room over the pool, cleanliness, friendly staff. One of the days we left our towels on sun beds for an hour to return to find else somebody on beds, our towels folded and placed to the side with a note stating what times they were left unattended (I was very impressed with this policy as nobody should simply book beds like that and expect them waiting for them while others need them, I was very happy to see that. We just got different beds instead.) There was a nice relaxed friendly family atmosphere throughout the place. Ubers are great to drop you to Alvor for shops/ restaurants (a great place to visit/shop/eat etc)

Pleasant stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was very large, clean and sufficient. The kitchen in the room could use a few more utensils, but it was fine for the two of us. The inside pool was nice, it was one of the reasons why I booked the hotel. The outside pool was a bit too cold for the end of October, but it looked very nice. all-in-all a very good stay.

Fantastic stay at Vitors Plaza. We arrived early and were greeted with a friendly female receptionist who advised good news that our room was ready. She was very friendly and informative and nothing was too much hassle for her as she happy to answer any questions. Our room had a great view overlooking the pool and was very clean and tidy as was all of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit. Thank you for a great stay

Our room was a standard double and was huge, and really comfortable, fridges in the room was an added bonus.

The stuff was so helpful and friendly, location was a good short drive from the city center and close to all town and village. After all our tour and we come back relaxing at the pool.They have two big pool for us to go too. Excellent for gofter. Very beautiful view from the room and restaurant patio, especially starting your morning beautiful and fresh air. I would stay there again.

Just spent a long weekend at this lovely hotel. The rooms are beautiful and have large balconies or doors that open to a view of the golf course. The room itself is so big and really lively with a gorgeous wet room. We went full board and the breakfast and dinner were both lovely. My husband loved playing both courses and I enjoyed laying by the pool when the weather allowed. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s quite remote so a taxi journey to a shop, not an issue for us, but just something to keep in mind. Would love to stay again.

A good experience, price / quality good, very good breakfast, lots of choices, rooms were big and clean, the two golf courses were good and well maintained, long par three holes though, long clubs needed, pools rather big and fresh, staff friendly, something that is a bit odd is that there are some +/- ten unfinished buildings around the golf courses, heard that the financial crisis some 15 years ago put an end to this big project, its not really disturbing but it catches your eyes.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2025 and everything was outstanding. The cleanliness was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices, and the view over the golf courses was simply beautiful. The pool was spotless and the water was pleasantly warm, perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which allowed us to truly unwind – even though we’re not golf players. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay. Would definitely return!

We loved these immaculately clean apartments (cleaned daily), the chilled out vibes by the pool, the trampoline, and the super friendly staff. Our 7 year old had a ball going between the trampoline and the kids' pool. The pools are not heated but the weather was good (25 degrees) when we were there so we were able to swim comfortably in the afternoon. The location is great...10 - 15 min walk into old town (or 4 euro in an uber!), walking distance to lots of beaches, and there's also nice food and drinks at the pool bar during the day. There's a supermarket just around the corner and a couple of restaurants nearby if you don't want to walk into town.

The lady at check-in was so friendly and very informative. We had a two bedroom pool view apartment, and it was spotless. The furnishings seemed like new. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms felt calm and relaxing. We had 3 terraces in total. Couldn't fault our apartment. There was a small pool by the reception area, which looked clean and well kept but we didn't use it. It was about a 15 minute down hill walk to the old town . We didn't bother to try it back uphill as ubers were only 4 euros! The apartments are in a very nice , quiet residential area. There was a very good Chinese restaurant about a 5 minute stroll away, which also does takeaways. There was a great board walk close by that took you along the stunning coastline and gave fabulous views. It was very hot when we did it , so we only walked to the lighthouse point. There were two places to stop along the walk,a restaurant and a cafe/bar at the lighthouse where we stopped for a welcome rest and cold drink. Got some great photos. These apartments had everything we needed, including a good location Would definitely use them again.

The apartment was absolutely lovely, even though it was just the two of us, it’s easily big enough for 5. Can’t find fault with anything. Supremely clean and extremely comfortable. The pool area is lovely even though we didn’t make use of the pool. The staff kindly let us check in an hour earlier so we could make an appointment in town. We have already chatted to friends about booking again and staying for 4 or 5 nights.

The owners of this property were very nice and welcoming. Only downfall was that the pool closes at 6pm so when we got back from a long day of touring we couldn’t take a nice swim to end the day. The accommodations were nice and clean. Everything worked well and we were provided with towels and pool towels. Walking distance to a grocery store as well. We would stay again.

Loved everything very clean equipped apartment has everything. Beds very comfortable with nice linen and soft pillows. Pool was beautiful with plenty of seating and very clean. Nice drinks bar as well in pool area with very nice staff. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is excellent - just 15 minutes walk into the main streets of the town. There is a large supermarket just five minutes walk away which was useful with the self catering facilities. Marsol is well cared for and very clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful, in particular Ana The pool and pool area is lovely, but the weather in March was too cold to go in.

We really enjoyed our stay in Marisol and could not fault it whatsoever. The pool area has plenty of room for sunbathing and was well-maintained. The apartments have a foosball table (which we didn’t use) and a minigolf course which we did enjoy one morning. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were always available to help out if needed. They were incredibly friendly and sweet. We were given lots of recommendations for things to do nearby which we greatly appreciated. The apartment was large and had surprisingly good cooking facilities. We were given dish soap, a sponge, salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar which was really helpful when we cooked in the apartment. There is a large supermarket just a couple minutes down the road also which was helpful. It was well-located - about a 15 minute walk to the city centre and the beach. It was quiet and cosy to stay. We were given access to our room early as it was ready for us and were also allowed to store our suitcases for a few hours on the day we were leaving.

We were pleasantly surprised to be in our own apartment as opposed to a high rise building. The apartment was very spacious and fit our family of 4 comfortably. It was clean and had everything we needed, and has the cutest vintage charm. The pool area was great as well. It's about a 15 minute walk to old town, and we always felt safe, even late at night. There is no air conditioning, but plenty of fans and never felt uncomfortable. Also, very easy and plentiful on site parking. None of us wanted to leave.

This facility was by far the best accommodation we stayed at in Portugal. It's located in a calm area but still close to Lagos Old Town (~10 minutes on foot). The facility and the apartments are very spacious, there is also large parking available. It also contains a pool and a field for mini-golf that you can use for free. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed during the stay and was cleaned every day. The people working at the reception were very friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend this place!

We were a group of four and had an amazing time at this apartment in Lagos. Ana was incredibly nice and super friendly – she made us feel welcome right from the start. The apartment was spotless, and the cleaning was absolutely perfect. The staff were all polite and helpful, always available if we had any questions. The pool was clean and well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We all loved our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lagos!

Spent a lovely few days here in a studio which was spacious and well equipped . The whole hotel was spotless including the gardens and pool area. . The air conditioning was excellent. The whole hotel smelt amazing ( I'd be very grateful if someone could identify the smell of the diffusers.) Reception staff we very helpful and smiley, and gave great advice when asked Loved the pool and always managed to get a sunbed with an umbrella. You could swim until 8pm at night, and we had a memorable swim on our last evening, when the swallows came dipping into the wate Its a short walk from the town, and perhaps 5 mins to the nearest supermarket. We had breakfast at the hotel which was lovely and also ordered food from the bar a couple of times which we enjoyed very much ( Only serves food until 6:30) We came for a quiet relaxing holiday and that was exactly what we had . Weather was excellent so we lay by the pool for most of the day. Definitely look to return

ideal location with very pleasant 15 min walk to village square. staff very accommodating. stayed several times and always enjoy. on this occasion initially allocated room at end of first floor with pool side view however balcony was directly aligned with roof of terrace that leads down to pool. obstructed view compared with other pool side view rooms we’ve had in the past. we asked if there were any other rooms available further along on same floor or any other floor where this wouldn’t be an issue (if possible, we would have made do if necessary as room itself was fine). staff accommodated this without hesitation and we were very happy with alternate room and the view was beautiful. the reason I mention this is to demonstrate the high level of customer service from the staff. really impressed by how accommodating they were.

Pros Stayed in a family room on the third floor which had two bedrooms and a living room with sofa bed. The apartment was huge as was the balcony with sun terrace and loungers. Room well equipped for self catering with good cooking facilities and a dishwasher. Pool and grounds lovely with ample sun loungers when we visited. Food at the hotel good when we stayed for lunch and competitively priced. Staff friendly and attentive. You’d be hard pressed to find somewhere better for the size of the room and quality of the hotel. 20 min walk to centre Cons The management had allowed some areas of the hotel to decline. Children’s pool had multiple loose tiles which need fixing. There was a pool bar which was never open but could be which would add value. Room also had faults which had not been fixed, broken jacuzzi and whirlpool bath although this did not affect our stay. Alvor seems to have become more commercialised, more bars and main streets at times now a little overcrowded. Still some great restaurants. Overall very good.

Lovely hotel and staff, lovely grounds and pool but pool is very quiet some music would be nice as it does get boring. Pool bar was there but not open anytime we were there I think this would of made more of a atmosphere. Rooms were very spacious and had all amenities needed only issue is towels dont get changed as often and the floors in the room needed a very good clean. Had to wash my feet multiple times a day as they were black from the floors in room ended up resorting to wearing flip flops round the room to prevent this. Hotel is a good location and nice for people who wish to have a quiet stay but unfortunately it lacked atmosphere for us and the cleaning wasnt up to standard.

Ambience - from the moment you entered hotel there was a calm and tranquil fee which continued throughout the corridors and into your room with soothing music and the gentle aroma of essential oils. Staff - without exception the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, nothing was too difficult for them making you feel right at home. Room - the room was perfect with everything advertised present to a very high standard. Breakfast - difficult to pick one thing that was much better than the rest because everything so good but the breakfast was sensational with such a wide variety of foods and combinations available. We will never forget the Longevity breakfast! Spa - a wonderful area in the hotel cleverly designed to contain a large deconstructed jacuzzi pool with five different areas, a salt water pool, a sauna, a steam room, a Himalayan salt room, a relaxation room, and a variety of different showers, and a number of loungers inside and out. Well being activities - we had no idea that included in price were numerous daily activities which you could opt into if you wished. We dipped our toes into crystal therapy, Pilates, yoga, energetic healing, astrology and numerology. All totally added to our experience.

The property is a health and wellness one so it has great SPA facilities included in the booking. Epsom salt room, detox and relaxation showers, indoor swimming pool was warm and jacuzzi was hot, cold swimming pool inside, sauna steam room and a meditation room - these were the best things ever! Only thing to know is breakfast was repetitive and very healthy vibes - so no English breakfast! Mainly egg based breakfast options. But it’s a great stay for the price.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic 10/10. It's a ten minute walk from Alvor town so good location. Lovely infinity pool on the roof along with sun loungers and outdoor seating for breakfast etc. Seems to be a centre for yoga and well being coaches but this is mixed with ordinary residents such as ourselves. The spa facilities which are inclusive are great; sauna, Turkish style steam room and therapy pools. If you want a relaxing spot in Alvor, this place is hard to beat.

The hotel is modern and very comfortable, the room are spacious and have everything you need. There is a beautiful spa, unfortunately without indoor pool, so no swimming. The outdoor pool was not heated and too cold in January. For the rest all was super!

Positives: All staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough. That includes waiting staff, reception, spa staff and cleaners; Breakfast healthy and delicious; Room and hotel spotless, comfortable beds and well equipped; Great view from balcony. Areas that could be improved: The accessibility of the only outdoor swimming pool. The steps are in the middle of the pool and there is no handrail. Even for those without disabilities this could be dangerous To add coffee to refreshments in bedrooms

We are a family of 3 (2 adults and a 4 year old), went on all inclusive holiday for a 10 nights stay. Tivoli is a nice hotel (resort) for families, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern rooms with daily cleaning. Resort has 3 main pools with daily activities, 1 adult only pool and 1 kids pool with slides. Resort also has a kids club, but our princess didn’t want to attend so can’t rate it. Suggestion for administrators at the resort to change policy on sun beds “reservation”. At 10am all sun beds are “taken”, but not such many guests are in the pool. On our check out day at 6am people were at the sun beds to “reserve” and go back to bed! A massive plus - 10 min away (by walk) is a nice beach. Recommend to visit and spend a time there. Resort has a playground, mini golf and court for football and basketball. Resort has plenty restaurants (some of them require booking), food was a bit of disappointment, luck of taste (but it might be just us). Thumbs up for fruits and ice cream- delicious. As we are a coffee lovers bigger cups would make a big difference in main restaurant. 3 days before our end of holiday we discovered a really nice quite place in resort with a really tasty coffee with a kind barista Rostislav (if you reading this review - thank you for a such nice coffee and yummy chocolate for our daughter). As we stayed for 10 nights Tivoli provided tickets to ZooMarine which was a nice gesture, it was an amazing day out. Thank you Tivoli, we will come back.

I visited with my 3 children 6-14 years, my parents and my brother + family including a 2year old. What a lovely complex and well looked after. Great location and the little train takes you to Alvor town and the bridge over to the beach is only a little walk away. Lots of facilities including kids splash pool, swimming pools and adult pool, a park and football area. There's a kids club which we didn't get around to visiting. The staff were fantastic, Daniel who greeted for us for breakfast in the mornings made us feel very welcome and was lovely host. A special mention to the chef too, who although very busy took the time to make sure to talk to us and make a separate meal for my son who has severe allergies, I have forgotten her name, sorry but I am very grateful. The reception staff were really helpful and helped with taxi's, day trips and anything. excellent staff all around, the cleaners were so lovely too and did an amazing job. All very professional. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Plenty of space and well thought out layout. Only niggle I would say is the noise level of an evening due to the open space in the entertainment complex and the dance around the pool at 10 o'clock was quiet loud, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. we visited the spa for a treatment which was lovely and professional. The food was incredible, changing majority of dinner options. I looked forward to every meal, there was something for everyone.

I stayed here last week with my husband and toddler for 7 nights. We had a brilliant stay! The food was great and plenty of choice in the buffet which changed every day. We also ate in the Italian and steak restaurants which were included in the all inclusive package - the service was fantastic and food was lovely. We stayed in a family room which was comfortable and clean with plenty of space even with a travel cot which was provided. There were 5 pools and we never had an issue getting sun beds. The adult pool looked lovely and quiet. My son loved the kids pool with the slides however my only suggestion would be the ground around the pool would need resurfaced - a lot of uneven and muddy/gravelly surfaces! The hotel offers a free train for guests into Alvor which was a big selling point for me! We are early risers and the first train doesn’t leave until 10am but that was fine for us as we were happy to walk in (this took about 30 minutes over the bridge and along boardwalk) and got the train back again. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Portugal and Tivoli was definitely the best one I’ve stayed in, would have to say the pictures online don’t do it justice! I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay here and we are already planning to come back next year!

We visited as a family holiday 8 adults with 2 babies under 2years, lots of high chairs in all restaurants, staff very helpful with all requests. Adults pool was lovely for adult time, two other big pools plus a pool for little ones, with the only criticism more shade is needed there. Kids disco was well attended, but some of the evening entertainment was poor especially once the act had finished there was no atmosphere for any adults should they want a dance. Excepting dogs at the hotel, isn’t for us, especially being in the restaurants

Fantastic week away at Tivoli Alvor, our first holiday as a family of three Despite seeing some negative reviews pre trip, we had a brilliant holiday. Great variety of food on offer across all restaurants, including themed nights at the buffet. Our favourites were Asian and America’s themed nights, as well as the Portuguese steak at Roastic restaurant and pizzas at Carobello Italian. My wife loved the range of fish dishes too across all restaurants One small improvement: Some potato products (Hash Browns & Wedges) were on the dry side Visiting just after UK schools returned, pools had lots of sunbeds available. Great choice of drinks at pool bars and salty bars (Echoing other reviews, shame Saltys wasn’t open in the evening, as we had to continually walk all way down to bottom bar to get drinks, especially if wanting to enjoy in our room) Rooms very modern and cleaned to a good standard everyday. Service really good with very helpful staff in reception and guest services. Handy free bus service into Alvor too Would recommend, especially for families

The structure is brand new, beautiful pool, pool bar, big rooms (even the standard ones) with sea view. You just cross the road and you’re to the beach, with all the restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues. Also, there’s some musical entertainment during the day and two nights per week in the hotel, but it’s not so popular among guests and therefore it comes to be a bit sad. They give towels for the pool, free coffee (nest cafe) and tea in the room. For 25€ per person you can eat at a buffet. Quality is not that good, but it’s a honest price for an honest dinner with plenty of choice between main courses, pastas, salads and desserts. Note that no beverage is included.

The hotel is modern, with a pool for adults and a pool for children. It is in a quiet location with beautiful sea views. The room with balcony was modern with comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful. Excellent breakfast with a great choice of food for everyone. Free parking at the hotel or in the hotel garage is a plus.

We had an amazing stay at Turim Presidente Hotel. It’s place in a pretty quiet area, but at the same time close to nearby beaches, shops & restaurants. We’ve had a really nice room with view to the pool and the sea which we totally loved. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for everyone. Would totally recomend and would stay here again if back in the area. Portimao is also in the middle of Algarve and you can easily have daytrips around. We chose Zoomarine which was fantastic!

From the moment we arrived the check in was seamless, they even let us check in early. Brenda on front desk was very helpful. We room was lovely with a pool and sea view. Facilities on room were great, including a powerful shower. Housekeeping were very efficient too.. We had breakfast in the hotel and selection on the buffet was extensive and great value for money.. I will definitely return

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay. It was worth paying extra for the front/full ocean view. Wonderful and spacious hotel with 3 pools and facing the sea. There is a pleasant boardwalk on the dunes behind the beach opposite the hotel that takes you to Lagos in 30-40 minutes (a taxi fare back is €7). What made this stay memorable was the staff who would do everything possible to accommodate you. A big thank you in particular to: - Carolina, the manageress who worked so hard and helped us on several occasions. - Jason at reception - Katarina (who also recommended us fantastic places to visit) and Sofia from the animation team - All the staff in the restaurant, welcoming staff, waiters and chefs. We enjoyed the evenings and in particular the Portuguese evening and Motown. It is a pity that there is no separate room used for the evening entertainment. The swimming pools were very large but rather cold apart from the heated indoor pool. Plenty of spaced out loungers around the pools where it was quiet and calm. We stayed in a pool view room which was spacious and had a big terrace with loungers and had sunshine throughout most of the day. The hotel is well maintained and spotlessly clean. I had a lovely surprise on my birthday: a lovely cake and Cava were delivered in style to our room. Thank you! Sadly, we would not recommend this hotel for people with limited mobility as there are a few steps to use between different levels and no handrails. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay which exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return. Thank you very much.

Iberostar is in a great location in Lagos, the hotel itself is very well maintained and the rooms were very comfortable (we stayed in pool view room) Ana and Edson made checking in very easy and even though we arrived at 10am for a 1500 check in we were very much looked after. Complimentary breakfast and full use of the pool facilities for the day. Karan by the pool bar was fantastic and he really brought brightness to our day. Each and every one of the star camp members Sophia, Katrina and Noemi really care about the kids and made the in house entertainment fun and enjoyable. The food was amazing fresh lots of choice throughly enjoyed, I also really like how the hotel has a focus on sustainability with water filters and can refill daily at your own leisure. Beautiful beach across the road and a lovely walk/ run along the boardwalk in Lagos (20-25min walk) our 5 year old did with us on a several occasions. We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lagos

Very comfortable room, spacious, high ceilings, modern, large shower, large bath, comfortable bed, nice balcony with good views, large safe, soundproofed walls. Quiet room overlooking Portimao with garden and sea views. Nice staff, professional, well-trained. Room furniture showed signs of wear and tear, there was some mold on the mastic in shower. Cleanliness of grouting on bathroom floor could also be improved. Mini-fridge did not work. Used glasses and mugs replaced every few days. Quality of food at breakfast could be improved. No freshly squeezed juice provided. Lunch buffet was 25 euros and food looked pretty average. Cushions by pool looked dirty and tired. Shuttle to Lagos marina was convenient, 2 euros each way. Beach is beautiful, large, sandy, clean, clear and shallow, but weather in June was cold, windy, rainy, cloudy and not suitable for swimming. Beach would be perfect on a hot day with warm sea temperature. Liked the sense of space and light at the hotel, even though furniture in room was dark and weather was poor. Except at breakfast it did not seem crowded or busy, enough space for everyone. Did not need to take lifts, they kept internal stairway doors open. Hotel is on hill overlooking sea. Reception is on level 4, main pool on level 2 and there is another pool on ground floor near beach. Most rooms except for those facing entrance and those on ground floor will probably have some level of sea view. There is not much around the hotel, it’s fairly quiet.

The hotel is beautiful and very stylish We received a friendly welcome at a late arrival and were offered a drink. Fantastic location very close to the beach, although we stayed at the hotel swimming pool most of the time with the best views. To walk to Lagos was about 40 minutes, which we did most evenings as we did not book all inclusive but prefer to go out for dinner and drinks in the evening. There are no restaurants near the hotel. Very lively atmosphere in Lagos with plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Lots of choice at breakfast buffet; cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, cereals, warm food, cakes, pancakes to name a few. I booked a spa treatment during my stay which was one of the best I have had. Room was large, only did not like the bath open plan. Shower and toilets are separate. The only negative was for me that it was difficult to order drinks whilst at the swimming pool. The waiter only seems to take orders from all inclusive guests, maybe because it was easier with regards to payments. We went to Lisbon from the hotel, which is about 2 hours away.

I'd read all the reviews before booking, so arrived with some trepidation. However, having just spent a week at Vila Gale Lagos, I feel we have a fairly balanced view of the hotel. For context, we are a family of 4 with teenage kids from the UK, and we thought the hotel was excellent. The rooms were a decent size with good air-con and excellent showers. Despite being busy, the breakfast buffet was continually well-stocked and tables constantly being cleaned. The huge pool area was fabulous - we got 4 loungers and used the pool bar for lunch every day. The main bar/lounge was good and we enjoyed playing pool a few times. We were on a B&B booking and enjoyed going into Lagos most nights for dinner (easy and lovely 20-min walk along the beach or a $5 uber). The whole area felt very friendly, safe and hassle-free. All staff were friendly and we would certainly recommend this hotel to others. Away from the noise of town, amazing pool and very clean.

Family holiday for 10 days. We went as a family of 2 children and 4 adults and were split over 2 rooms at absolute opposite ends of the hotel which was a little frustrating. Hotel - has a wow factor on arrival. Clean, fresh, spacious. Reception staff were efficient, welcoming, helpful. The hotel horseshoes around the large pool area. Out balcony overlooked the pool and we could see pit to the sea also - it was beautiful. The room was lovely, beds comfortable, well kept. Walk in shower was lovely and was lovely. Restaurant - the main restaurant was clean, well run, sone variation but not really thought out for children. However, always found something to eat. Pool bar - lovely food made to order and couldn’t have wanted more. Kids club - this was not functioning at all during our stay. Pool - this was gorgeous. It’s huge, the sunbeds are not cramped at all, loads of room - we really loved this. No rush for sunbeds in the morning at all which was fantastic. Location - walkable to Lagos town, but with people in our party we got Uber taxis which were reasonable. Lagos town is beautiful, lots of places to eat, drink, explore and people watch. Entertainment - this was the weak link, there really wasn’t much at all.

This hotel looks like a business resort. Lots of extras. Best swimming pool and view. Rooms have nice balcony. They offer a nice Italian Restaurant near the pool that is open for dinner. They had an indoor pool (in their Spa) that was a black bottom with water flows. Very relaxing environment. Big modern hotel room. Large shower. Easy 10 minute walk to town. Quiet.

Second visit to this hotel with group of 12 golfers. Slightly inferior experience this year mainly because we came 5 weeks later than last year ( middle of may 2024). This year end of June high season hence the hotel being full, leading to queues in the restaurant and bars only to be expected.. The main gripe though was the swimming pool area was packed with kids and a huge group of fitness fanatics on their annual vacation all the sunbeds being snapped up early doors. The music around the pool was pounding away non stop too loud party music catering only for the 18 to 30 scene. Sometimes they need to cater for a more international clientele.Some more relaxing and quieter periods around the pool.That aside the hotel was clean the food was pretty good and staff were polite and efficient .

Nice enough hotel. Great spa with steam room, sauna, indoor pool, spraying jets, outdoor pool, playgrounds. Large sprawling property. Indoor garage 3 euros. A bit beaucratic where you need to go to spa office to get and return your pool towels but all in all a nice resort. Need to drive out to get to restaurants, groceries, etc but all close enough.

The beds were a bit firm for my liking but sleep quality generally good as blackout was excellent. Sometimes marred by noisy neighbours some on whom got up early rather than being up late! Kitchen - ours had only 2 cups and 2 bowls - seems like they don't check for breakages. Had 2 ring hob and microwave. Microwave a bit of a liability as we had a youngster with us. Air con in lounge but not bedroom. Chairs would have been better had they had cushions to support one's back. Plenty of towels and loo paper. Shower gel an soap supplied and got hairdryer when I asked. Wifi free near pool so not immensely convenient. Pool was rather cold but there was a little pool for the little ones. Enough loungers as not many people sat by the pool. 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Reception always helpful

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which slept 3 easily. The apartment was well kitted out with everything we needed. Lovely living area and sofa along with huge balcony. Bedrooms comfortable, beds slightly firmer than we were used to but ok. Apartment was cleaned every other day. Towels provided. Free wifi by the pool. Excellent check in and out service. Pool lovely, free sun loungers and space for sunbathing. Very quiet. Close to Luz beach with cafes and restaurants. Nothing bad to say about this place, we loved it.

Staff were very informative and helped heaps. They have a library of books in reception! Great for the beach or beside the pool. Bathroom included a bath. Clothes airer wase available - just needed to ask for it. Kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed. We had a problem with the internet. They worked to fix this, and in the meantime I was able to link into the reception/owners server to do some work things. There is also internet by the pool.

Good value for money. Friendly staff always smiling and attentive from Eva & Casper to all cleaning staff. Quiet in June and pool area not the biggest but pool area was never overly busy. 5 minutes from beach & bars/restaurants one way and 10 minutes the other to bars etc. Would definitely recommend and if able would use Oasis Beach again. For a studio room, it was very large with big kitchen & large veranda.

Having stayed here before I knew what to expect, and I like everything about the Oasis. The reception staff are very helpful, and the apartments well equipped and kept very clean. The pool area is spacious, and the pool is a good size for swimming. The location is great as only a few minutes walk to the beach and all the cafes. Also Batista grocery a short walk away.

My wife and I spent 4 nights here as part of a 2 week trip to Portugal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this brand new and beautiful facility. The views of the ocean over the pool and golf course are breathtaking and provide a surreal backdrop for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks. Although it is a bit of a walk to the beach, the staff provide a shuttle service via golf cart so that was a non issue. We spent our days on the beach and then relaxed by the pool in the late afternoons. The staff are super friendly, provided great recommendations for dinners or activities, and made reservations on our behalf. Our room was clean, tranquil, had the amenities that we needed and the small outside terrace was great for relaxing. We did not golf but the course looked like it was in great shape and I can see why this is a destination for golfers. Finally, after we departed for Lisbon my wife realized she forgot a couple items in our room. We emailed the reception and they had them shipped to our hotel in Lisbon at no cost. Between the beautiful facility and excellent customer service, I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return sometime soon.

We stayed at the Palmares for three nights and wish we could have stayed longer. From start to finish, our stay was really great. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The breakfast, which some have complained about, was delicious. There was an abundance of food and drinks, including Prosecco available. We found all of the staff to be helpful and friendly. The turndown service each evening was a pleasant surprise. As others have mentioned, the pool chairs were not very comfortable, nor were there enough of them (including umbrellas). The pool was busy one afternoon and we were unable to go, so we laid out on our balcony, which was fine. The hotel does not have a shuttle that can take you into Lagos, so you either need to call for a car (cheap) or drive on your own (we always found parking on the weekend). We'd gladly return to the Palmares.

Amazing hotel. Only about 20 rooms and they all have a wonderful view. The view overlooking the pool and golf course to the beach and ocean is spectacular. The pool was wonderful (bit chilly). They gave us a ride to the beach which is worth walking. Room was modern and big. Patricia at reception was very helpful and informative. Service overall was terrific. Definitely a place to stay. Close to lagos.

Amazing hotel, the highlight of our trip. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Pool was great, you could order food and drinks and sit by the pool. Dinner was also excellent. Views were spectacular. Great place for couples and to relax, very quiet. A short drive to the beach or hotel will take you in a golf cart. all rooms have balcony views. Overall gorgeous stay! Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a smaller, sophisticated but relaxed hotel , mainly adults only, then this place ticks all the boxes. You don't have to be a golfer to stay here, but if you are, you are right on a 27 hole golf course overlooking the sea with outstanding 180° degree views. The staff are without exception fantastic, friendly and will go the extra mile with any request. It's like being in your own, personal beach house with decor to match and airy, bright bedrooms with huge beds.The pool is lovely but if it could be heated in the cooler months, this would make it more usable as the water was cold in October! A real hidden gem, go before it gets discovered!

Location is good walk into town 15 /20 mins via coast or through the town .Uber is so cheap as well as an option . Good walks along the coast with views all close to hotel . Basic gym and pool table available as well and beach towels . The beach is right next to the hotel 75 yards it has unfortunately lots of seaweed but still nice but very hot as no breeze . Pool at the rooftop is great and a good breeze and it seems no one putting there towels down which makes a change ! Parking is fine as long as you know what to do ! Plenty of parking in morning and evening during the day manic so plan your trips if you go out come back late . Rooms are good perhaps a little small re storage thoroughly cleaned everyday and we were on ground floor all very quiet . Air con available as well . No bar though during evening just the pool bar which shuts at 9 pm but go to the Spar close by so stock up and there is a fridge in the room and the balcony is great watching the world go by . Lucas rooftop bar at the top for great food as well but book in advance . So many great restaurants in town as well . Great hotel to be fair and 3 star but much more in what it offers definitely recommend the hotel .

Highlights of our stay were definitely the staff, the proximity to a stunning beach and cliff boardwalk hike, and the rooftop pool. Breakfast was included and was decent. It had something for all palates. The bed was comfortable (I have a back injury so this paramount to me). We had to change our itinerary last minute and headed early to the Algarve. We booked in same day and made it in late that night. We were warmly welcomed by Silvia at the front desk. We got the last room in the hotel. It was clean, simple and the bed was comfortable. Our time there was excellent but for two small issues. The noise from others guest in the hallway was noticable one morning, and one day the cleaning supplies were left outside our room for some time. There was a strong smell of bleach after they cleaned, but it disappeared... there is definitely no worry that things are sanitary in this regard. One of the top highlights was definitely the staff, especially Silvia who went out of here way to help us and make us feel welcome. Whether at the front desk, in the restaurant/pool deck or the cleaning staff, the staff were all wonderful. They were very warm, friendly and welcoming. The recommendations for activities and restaurants were on point. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Lagos! (Stop by the pool one afternoon to soak in the view and relax with a drink - Irene makes a great white wine sangria!)

The location was the best feature of this hotel. The view of the water and a short walk to the beach made this an ideal place for our vacation. The rooftop restaurant and pool were the next best feature! The view from the restaurant for the daily breakfast buffet was amazing! And the dinner was delicious and a great menu to select from. The pool area had a great view as well and the water was refreshing and clean.

Hotel was lovely, great included breakfast and pool snack bar. Pool area was lovely but quite windy. Room was nice, but small and some areas a little dated (washroom mirror needed to be replaced). Located right next to the beach and lengthy boardwalk over the cliffs for an amazing location. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

There is a microwave in the room which looks like it’s about 30 years old and it wouldn’t entice you to use it.The bathroom was the best part of the room and had a fantastic shower.The pool is huge and very family friendly but trying to get a sunbed is like a lottery unless you are up at the dawn. On the plus side of things this hotel has fantastic entertainment for both adults and kids with the animation team excellent . The food is also very good and the all inclusive drinks are served at the pool bar only which can have long queues but move quickly.We found the staff to be very friendly and on check out as we had a late flight we could use the all inclusive for the remainder of the day which was a nice touch . We found all the common areas spotless and well looked after ... Would we stay here again probably but if the hotel made a few changes with the rooms and the pool area a lot more people would recommend this hotel to there friends .

Pros Lovely staff, clean spacious rooms, excited and engaging animation team especially Paola (kids entertainment), perfect on site spa (worth a visit or 4) and included kids club. Lots of space for the pool (no chair possession fights) and for dining. Plenty of availability of staff for support, serving drinks etc. Ice cream is lush. Deserts are plentiful. Toilets close to the pool Cons Nothing to do when it rains for kids, only thing to do when it rains for adults is the spa, kids mini disco starts FAR TOO LATE and the hotel must be aware of this as it's mentioned in most of the comments stretching back quite far yet it remains an 8:30pm start. The pool is extremely cold even when its nice weather outside it doesn't seem to heat up. If you are travelling as a single parent I'd recommend requesting a room close to the elevator as we were so farrrrrrrrrr and I had to drag him back and forth whenever I needed something from the room! Travelling with allergies. I would recommend establishing the names of the chefs for every night because the other staff didn't take it seriously, one woman rolled her eyes at me. It is a buffet so yes mostly the same but not everything, a special desert was made for my son one night as he was sick of jelly (the only thing he could have).

We stayed here as a family of four including a 4-year-old and an 11-month-old for 10 days, we would highly recommend it. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest most helpful staff throughout the entire hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent — fresh, varied, and something to suit everyone at every meal, We found the bed fairly hard but a call to reception and it was sorted in minutes with a very comfortable mattress topper! Travel cot also had a proper mattress which was a plus for us. We visited during Halloween, and the animation team put on a fantastic event — though a bit much for our 4-year-old! There was a huge selection of sweets and Halloween themed food and desserts, plenty of drinks options also. The pools were on the cooler side but never crowded, and the kids’ pool was excellent and very safe. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. It’s hard to find any negatives, but a couple of small suggestions: dinner could start a little earlier for families with young children (it begins at 6:30 p.m.), and the playground, could use a bit of maintenance. An on-site self-service laundrette would also be a huge help for families traveling with kids, however there is one in the supermarket a 10 min walk away. Plastic or non-breakable plates and bowls in the children’s section of the restaurant would be good too. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are planning to return!

I was surprised how clean this hotel is, there’s always staff cleaning, pool toilets are cleaned every 15mins. The pool is massive and never had issues with finding a sunbed. Even the lifeguards go round and take towels off sunbeds at 1030 which aren’t being used. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food halls are split between families with under 12 and over 12s, the food variety in my thoughts was really good. Was always something to choose, plus theme nights and bbqs. Entertainment is good throughout the day, always something on for the little one. The hotel is about 15/20min walk from alvor harbour/beach. There’s a bus that travels between the hotel and the beach. I would book this hotel again, we really enjoyed our time here.

This hotel was exceptional. The pool and hotel grounds were beautiful and well-kept. Our small kids loved the kiddie pool and the play structure. The food buffets were fantastic, good selection each day - lots of different cuisine to choose from. The all-inclusive drinks were also great, tasty and good selection! The activities and entertainment was also a lot of fun. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My kids are still raving about it and we stayed there a month ago. This hotel was definitely the highlight of our two-week trip to Portugal!! 10/10 reccommend

The staff is very friendly and pleasant, the outdoor pool is clean and has a charming area, the indoor one with jacuzzi we didn’t check (the hats are required and if you don’t have one you may buy at the reception), the breakfasts are one of the best I have ever had in hotels (the food is very delicious and every day there are some small changes, therefore I didn’t get bored), moreover you may include dinners for an additional price or simply cook at your room which has a well-equipped kitchen and all the kitchenware you may need. One more thing that I liked is that the hotel provides guests with robes, which are very useful for the swimming pools and just for staying comfortable in the rooms.

19/26-Apr-2024 - Spacious junior suite with sufficient chairs, spacious balcony from where the ocean was visible, proper breakfast, good public parking, quiet area, close to the ocean (15 min's walk) and surrounded by some waste land. Kitchenette equipped sufficiently (one big and one small cooking plate), allowing to cook a simple meal when tempted by the rich choice of meat and fresh fish in the bigger supermarkets. We can recommend the “big” Intermarché at Alvor which is easier accessible than the centre of Portimão. Our daughter of 13 liked the indoor swimming pool; The outside pool was a bit too cold in April.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! It was very pleasant and quiet hotel with a great outdoor area, that includes a pool. It is kids friendly and my daughter loved and enjoyed it there. The hotel rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming towards us! Overly a fantastic place that I would fully recommend staying at!

Fantastic facilities ..pool, pool entertainment , food wonderful and so fresh especially fish and fruit , salads. Also we have a 10 year old who loves soccer and with soccer pitch would play with his new friends. Great place for family vacation. Pool water though was very cold initially but beautiful when in for a few minutes.

Reception staff were great, particularly Ruben was very helpful. We were offered a tour around the hotel by Julio, who was very nice. He also helped elevate our anniversary with nice preparations in the room which were fantastic. The restaurant staff was incredibly quick and efficient. 10/10 for them. We also enjoyed all the variety of shrimp. The pool was great, we tried the adults only but it wasn't for us, it was too calm, we really enjoyed the main pool where we were able to laugh and play and be silly. We only wished the music around the pool was a bit louder. The entertainers were awesome, Pestaninha was always a sight for sore eyes, even as a couple with no kids, we were happy to see him and join in the activities. Teresa, Luis and Rafael were really nice and we leave a special shout for Marta: whenever we saw her, she was always working hard, giving it her all, and she made our two nights extra special with her bingo and karaoke. Location was excellent - super close to the beach. Very spacious rooms. The pool was large and good and well. Food was available at all times (highlight for the afternoon Hot-Dogs by the pool)

The hotel is very clean and neat and staff is great. The staff at the reception was very professional and helpful with our room change. The staff at the restaurant was also very helpful every time we had a question or a request. Bartenders were also really nice and kind. Animators did a great job with all the programmes and activities, they were very kind, nice, and active. It was good to see how many families stay at the hotel with their children and having a great time thanks to the great staff. Thank you very much for the professional and kind staff that made our stay even more relaxing and cheerful. The hotel and all the facilities are great, we really enjoyed our stay! Fantastic view to the ocean, great room, amazing swimming pools, restaurant and bars and the ocean is just a few minutes away. Thank you very much for everything! The hotel had everything we needed. A great breakfast selection, large outdoor pool with bonus of indoor pool and sauna, tons of sunbeds to choose from, indoor and outside bar, a café/bar closeby directly in-between hotel and beach, a couple of minutes (barely) walk to the beach from the hotel with sunbeds available to hire at a very reasonable rate, super friendly and accomodating staff, decent sized room with balcony.... The list goes on! It's one of the few places I've stayed where I can 100% see myself going back to. We were only there three nights and I would love to stay for a bit longer next time.

Excellent location right on the beach front. Plenty of things to do within the resort with beautiful surroundings. Perfect for relaxing or young families. We went with our 3 year old and had a great time. Mini golf, a gym, two outdoor pools, heated indoor pool and spa, kids club, beautiful garden areas.

Location is 5 minutes by taxi from Alvor centre or 20 minutes via the lovely boardwalk. Quiet location by the sea really adds to the property, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle. Simple hotel, does what it says on the tin and has a bit of everything - Breakfast great, gym simple but good, indoor pool with sauna, outdoor pool with plenty of deck chairs, small kids club also. Hotel was undergoing some routine maintenance as they prepare for summer and this was to be expected.

Location was exceptional right in the heart of Alvor just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Alvor with brilliant food and restaurants. The facilities again were exceptional the indoor pool and sauna was brilliant considering we went at a cold time of year however the gym and outdoor pool was lovely and clean. Beach access from the hotel which made it easy to access the beach

I loved the stunning views and the location, I loved that the hotel had an indoor pool, free crazy golf, and an outdoor play area, I thought the fact that towels for the pool for a few days were free and the safe in the room didnt require a deposit was also appreciated.

We stayed at agua jardim in sept/Oct for the second time. The hotel is lovely the rooms are roomy and are kept clean and tidy by the housekeepers. The breakfast is good with everything you need for a decent breakfast plenty of choice. Pool area had lots of sunbeds and we did not have any trouble getting a sunbed. However my only gripe is the pool area was cleaned on a morning and the floor around the pool hosed down with water but left with lots of excess surface water which I considered to be very dangerous as there were a lot of elderly people in the hotel. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful and we are already booked for next year. The position of the hotel is also very good for access to the town and reasonably flat.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were excellent, really attentive, and available at reception 24/7 making it easy to check in and out late at night. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Good selection of food at breakfast, all fresh and good quality. Excellent lunch menu at the poolside bar. Brilliant location, 4 minute walk to the centre of the town and 2 minute walk to the supermarket. Towels available to rent for the pool, very handy and can be swapped for fresh towels daily. Quiet and relaxing pool, probably more suitable for couples and families with older kids. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

We have just returned home having spent a week at the hotel. We could not fault it, the room was a good size, we had a standard double, with bathroom, and balcony.. It was extremely clean. The room was serviced daily and clean towels were available on a daily basis. The pool area was lovely and the pool bar served good food. We liked the addition of the new sun lounger too. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice for everyone. All the staff at Alvor Jardim are exceptional from the receptionists to the ladies who serviced the rooms. Sasha in particular was great, she was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Another nice touch was the manager holding a drinks meeting with the guests on a Thursday. We’ve had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The location is 5 mins from the town and a 20 min walk to the beach. If anything did spoil it for us it would be the constant complaining of some of the other guests! If these people had issues why didn’t they turn up to the meeting on Thursday with the manager to voice their concerns?! We’ve stayed in much more luxurious hotels where the staff were rude and were nowhere near as clean as this hotel. IWe really enjoyed our stay.

The staff was amazing. The best I had in all of Portugal! My train was running late and the communication to make sure I could check in was great. The next day they gave me suggestions on where to go and where to stop for lunch. As a solo traveler on a longer stay in Portugal it was so nice to know they were there to help.

In the midst of town center, close to so to speak every facility we needed. Forgot something? no worries, the hotel is right there. Accommodation of the staff when we told them we might get in late. The pictures of the rooms and bathrooms doesn't do them justice, it was WAY nicer in real life. Positively surprised.

Location is perfect, right in the centre which is what suited me. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, light and airy. An absolute bargain price too. I can 100% recommend this hotel. I will stay here again.

Stayed with children and parents in August from ages 5 to 83. This hotel is full of character and unique in its layout. I did ask for a room for my elderly mother who has mobility issues, they were put in room close to lift and pool area for easy access. I had a family room, plenty of space and storage for clothes. Beds very comfortable and excellent shower, always right temperature. Pool was never too busy, lots of places to sit and watch kids. Indoor pool great too for children. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with plenty of choice, different dinner buffet every evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only slight criticism would be the prices at the pool bar, very expensive. Location is fantastic, just a short walk to marina or town centre. We borrowed hotel wheelchair for first couple of outings for mum, but she managed the walks locally fine. Overall a fantastic stay and will definitely be back 😊 I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Very pleased with our stay in Tivoli Lagos. Good size room with pool view and balcony. Perfect location, 5min walk from main restaurant strip. 10min walk from the beach. We did not use the pool area as seemed a bit cramped and small pool, but is clearly seen in pictures and the beach so close made up for it. Very polite welcoming staff in both reception and bars. And we were also treated to unexpected drinks voucher for the bar in our room on my girlfriend's birthday. A really nice touch. Would definitely recommend Tivoli and we will return.

We had a superior room which was a nice clean room, with plenty of wardrobe space and a large bathroom in the main part of the hotel. The shuttle bus to the beach is free and runs every hour. There is a good variety of food at breakfast and everything is kept topped up but the quality of some items weren't great. The pool area is nice with pool towels provided, but small for a hotel of that size and it is quite difficult to get sunbeds. There is a no reserving beds policy but this does not seem to be policed. The drinks at the pool bar are very expensive unless it is happy hour.

We have been going on holiday to the close by resort of Luz for last 15 years with our 3 children and now they are age 25, 22 and 20 decided to stay in Lagos as the town has more life with big choice of restaurants/bars and beaches plus Marina - it’s such a lovely Portuguese town which is not too big and not too small. After reading some mixed reviews the Tivoli Lagos certainly did not disappoint for us and we all LOVED our stay - could not have been better! We stayed in Superior Rooms - 1 double for me and my husband and 1 XL for the 3 adult kids which included separate lounge! Comfortable beds, excellent shower and quiet. So clean and if you didn’t request a room clean everyday then you received a free drink voucher per person each time but still received a towel change every day. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice and we enjoyed sitting outside on terrace. Hotel pool was also lovely with clean pool towels each day and we always got beds despite it being height of July. The hotel would have been built some years ago in typical Portuguese style and therefore there will areas that might feel a little dated but that is part of its charm and we loved coming back from an evening out to sit in one of the comfortable sofa alcoves for a game of cards! Last but not least were the staff - could not fault any staff member we met, so friendly and helpful especially the bar and restaurant staff! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable holiday. We will most certainly be back!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in Lagos, right in the center by the marina. Perfect location, fabulous room - we stayed in Room 107. 10/10 double balcony, brilliant facilities. Nice little touch if you don’t have your bedding changed daily you can exchange it for drinks vouchers. Cute little coach to the beach (free). Indoor pool & sauna facilities lovely touch. Outdoor pool and loungers perfect for everyone. Would stay again. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

The hotel was in a great location just up from the old town and 5 mins walk from beaches. The hotel looked like it had been through a refurb and looked smart and fresh. Our apartment was modern, with lots of space, no problem with the AC, couldn’t have asked for the price. Really comfortable. Cleaners came every day and also replenished towels which was a great bonus. Breakfast catered for most, we thought it was well presented, with nothing ever running out. It had a selection of cooked, cold, fruit, pastries, cakes, bread etc. Pool area was clean, big pool and lots of sun loungers, and a pool bar well positioned for a beer or cocktail. We went to the gym on our stay, it is a public gym that the hotel guests have free access to (under the hotel) and because of this, it really stands out from other hotel gyms. Large weight room with an abundant of extremely good kit, free weights, and Olympic bar rack areas Every member of staff we spoke to were polite, helpful and welcoming. Couldn’t fault this hotel for the price we paid.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. It’s a short walk from many of the beautiful beaches that Lagos and the surrounding Algarve has to offer. Amenities include two pools (one shallower than the other) and a bar/restaurant which really stands out for the friendliness of the bar staff (particularly the three on during the evening). We stayed in a premium suite and it was a very spacious room with a nice view of the pool. The Old Town is only about a 10/15min walk which offers everything you need in terms of food and (if sunburned like me) pharmacies. We stayed towards the end of May and it was nicely quiet with plenty of room by the pools. Huge shoutout to the bar and restaurant staff who, even after one night, felt like seeing familiar friends and gave the bar area a homely feel (lucky for me as I love a beer!) - a huge obrigado to these three - sorry I didn’t get their names.

A beautiful hotel, great location, swimming pools were excellent. Bar food was great. Lovely staff. Very clean. 8 mins walk to old town which is fab! Entertainment in pool daily. Not overcrowded. All rooms looking out on pools. Breakfast fab also. A great variety.

This hotel is 100% worth you money and experience. All the staff from the register, to the canteen to the cleaners were outstanding and extremely lovely. The rooms were quite large perfect for a family of 4 , with a great swimming pool view and balcony. One thing I really loved, as well as my family, was the bathroom aesthetic with an amazing shower after a long day of visiting the local town which is another good thing about this hotel as its location is about 12 minute walk from the town centre and about a 10 minute walk to the closest beach. The food was really delicious both at breakfast and dinner time. In addition what's great is that no matter how many people are at the pool there are always sunbeds available. To conclude, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely return and if you have any issues during your stay just communicating the reception as they are always ready to sort out any of your concerns as their communication is outstanding. I also would love to shout out Ahmed, Joao and Mr Happy from the canteen team as they made by stay 10x more enjoyable.

Wow! Just WOW! After 10 days of exploring Porto and Lisbon on foot, our stay at Aqualuz Lagos was exactly what we needed. The convenient location is close to both the city centre and wonderful beaches, 2 great pools, friendly and kind staff, clean rooms with a pool view from the balcony and an amazing breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. We had to leave early one morning and couldn't make it to breakfast and they were kind enough to pack us a lunchbox! We definitely recommend and if we ever came to Lagos again this hotel would be our choice for sure.

Very friendly. 10 mins walk from the beach. A curtesy bus would have helped especially with children. Pool was lovely. Beds generally available but not with shade. These were taken by early risers. Need more beds/ shade. No life guards but pool attendants who might help you get a bed. Small onsite shop selling crisps, water, chocolate, pool toys and tourist souvenirs. Not bread, milk etc No inflatables in pool which is safer. Aerobics/ zumba in pool each morning. Apartments were large and clean. Hand towels/ tea towels/ bins changed every day. Sheets/ bath towels once a week. Positives Family atmosphere Large apartment Close to Alvor/ Praia de Roche Children’s entertainment Nice pool. Negative Not in walking distance to a shop but a large supermarket nearby by taxi. Need taxi to get to restaurants. We had cockroaches in our apartment. Only moved on third complaint and no support from hotel. Pool restaurant was poor/ dull. Overall, I would recommend for families especially with younger children.

The studio was exceptionally clean, with daily housekeeping. Towels were replenished regularly, and extra pool towels were provided every two days. • The studio came with additional blankets and pillows, air conditioning, a TV, a fridge in the kitchenette, cutlery, glasses, bowls, a small table, a cute lamp, and a sofa. • The balcony was large and perfect for enjoying snacks, equipped with a mop and a drying rack. • Pools were spacious and well-maintained: one for children and a larger one for adults, which older kids also enjoyed. Pool staff provided swim noodles and balls for children, and the pool bar served food, drinks, and snacks, with seating available. • Kids’ facilities included a kids’ club, football field, playground, and mini-golf, though we didn’t use all of them. • The studio’s 2nd-floor location was quiet, ideal for restful nights. • Afternoon room cleaning was convenient when returning from the pool or outdoor activities. • The bathroom was very clean and maintained daily.

We were very happy with our stay here. We had a two-bedroom apartment, there were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room. We had a very spacious room with a huge balcony overlooking the pool. It was very clean and liked the extra shampoo etc that was refilled regularly. Towels changed regularly too but the room was not mopped or swept during cleaning. There was equipment to do it ourselves though. Upon arrival we were asked to pay a deposit of 100, we were not informed of this beforehand so be aware, we got it back with no problem though. The pool area is great, with loads of beds and space in early June, the only disappointment was no kids club or pool bar till June 15th which we had not been informed of either. The staff everywhere were so helpful and any problems or questions were dealt with efficiently and with a smile. The location is great, you can walk to a beach which has a few restaurants at it, a 3.50 taxi to Praia de Rocha or Alvor, and a 10 min walk to the Intermarche. We have stayed in many places in the Algarve and I would definitely return here.

Spacious and clean apartment. Air conditioners in both rooms. Large terrace-balcony. They provide extra towels free of charge for the pool. The pool is clean and quite large. There were enough sunbeds, and we always found a place to relax. The hotel lobby is very beautiful. During dinner, a wonderful band was playing live music. There’s free table tennis and outdoor tennis available.

A stunning location at the sea with 2 gorgeous pools. Monica and her team at the pool restaurant are brilliant, the food was beautiful. The pool bar was great for icecream and lovely lunch. Had a meal at the Miss Pasta restaurant and it was delicious! The beach is beautiful. The 2 bedroomed apt was great! We had every thing we needed. It was cleaned and sheets changed during our stay and towels were changed twice.

Staff were very friendly & helpful - especially Nuno at Reception & staff/mgmt in pool bar resteraunt. Room was very spacious & comfortable - too many tables though. Lots of pool choices but they are in need of repair/maintenance. Not a very buggy friendly walk to Atlantic Pool Bar or Beach Food very tasty You need to get taxis to Alvor - 7E approx each way

Pool was fantastic, especially the "salt water pool". The apart-hotel we stayed in was spacious, clean and easy to get to. Reception called a taxi for us each night that was there in minutes to bring us into the centre.

The staff were very helpful, especially the restaurant, bar staff. The pool and pool staff also.

Clean apartment on arrival however it's not cleaned very regularly throughout the stay, maybe twice weekly. Overall, pool view apartment was good, spacious. Complex is nice, good amenities for kids Staff at Pool bar wonderful, Lukas and Monica were very friendly and helpful

The pool area was enjoyable , there was enough sun beds for us during the day. Pool was clean and well looked after. All the staff was amazing and easily answered any questions that we had. The room was clean and quite big. Did not use any of the kitchen equipment .

We had a great experience staying at RR Amarilis in Praia da Rocha. From the moment we arrived, the reception team gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, attentive, and always available whenever we needed anything. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and very comfortable – exactly what we were hoping for. It had everything we needed to relax after busy days, and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere in the building. The location was ideal for us. It was close to both the event we were attending and the beach, which made everything super convenient. We also had a chance to enjoy the pool and the gym, both of which were clean and well maintained. We dined at the hotel restaurant and were happy to find a variety of options to suit different tastes, which made meals easy and enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at RR Amarilis and would happily return. It’s a great choice if you're looking for comfort, good service, and a perfect location in Praia da Rocha.

Very helpful and professional staff, huge and very clean apartment (not the most modern rooms but you have everything you need), excellent selection of foods and drinks for diner, great pool and bar, easy parking, the reception is open non-stop which helped a lot since our flight was delayed, they even had sandwiches, fruits and water ready for us when we arrived just in case we were hungry (we missed dinner)

very fortunate to have found this resort during our research into Portugal's Algarve region-the southern coast.even though it looks like it's quite new,staff told me it's been here over a decade.it's not located right on the beach.that's a bit of a drive.but it's worth it to be in a place so lovely & well kept.our unit was a 2 bedroom condo with one upstairs & one down.clearly designed for 2 couples/families to occupy as was the case with our neighbors.daily maid service.a full,well equipped kitchen for cooking in, 2 baths with the 1 upstairs a bit larger,and a small patio downstairs & balcony upstairs,complete with electronic sunshade.the main couch/loveseat living area is upstairs also with the dining area off the kitchen on the main level.the couch folds out to a bed with a thin mattress.but it is the only bed that is actually a twin bed as both the other bedrooms have a pair of single beds with hard mattresses.and they didn't have a way to connect them so each night a canyon was created if we tried to get close.unfortunate but really the only drawback to the unit. the area of the complex we were in-Bella Colina Village-includes a decent but unremarkable restaurant, golf course,spa and fitness area with indoor pool,and 2 outdoor pools w/kids pools.plus many loungers & umbrellas.these were a nice respite after a day out exploring.we highly recommend the spa massages as these were very enjoyable & done by professionals.staff was universally helpful. highly recccommended.

Good sized 2 bedroom villa withnpool views on a very large golf complex. Communal areas were well kept and the pools were excellent. The layout of the villa was a little odd and the downstairs double bedroom was rather small: partly due to the unnecessarily large bathroom next door. Appliances were Smeg amd the kitxhen and dining facilities were excellent. Upstairs there was the main longe wnd master bedroom. This bedroom was far bigger and it had an ensuite with a shower above the bath. The indoor pool and gym is based at the golf reception, wich was about half a mile away. For a 5* resort, it was disappointing that you either need to upgrade to a different package, or pay to use both the gym and indoor pool. After paying, you only have a 1 hour time slot....again which was rather disappointing. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. A car is essential as the resort is a 10 minute drive to beach / restaurants/ shops.

We stayed for 2 nights in October. We loved staying here. For the price, the place was amazing. We essentially had a whole house to ourselves, so much space. The area was lovely, only traffic appeared to be other residents or groundskeepers. Parking right out front was a huge plus point too. We didn't swim in the pool, but only because we were busy, we had planned to and it looked lovely. We didn't eat at the restaurants either, but had planned to. We would highly recommend staying here and we plan to book another stay in the next few months! Staff were helpful and lovely, there seemed to be constant maintenance of the grounds/street happening, but not annoying or a nuisance in anyway. They clearly take pride in their appearances and it showed, as the place was a lovely place to be.

Very nicely presented, spacious, clean and looked freshly painted. The Spa facilities were fantastic and staff were very helpful when we did not have caps to go in the pool. Only request would be to let clients know when there are classes so that we can plan ahead when to visit the Spa. The golf course looked in good condition although we did not play. The golf short game area has excellent green area to work on your short game however the putting green was not in 5* condition. Overall a very good place. If you have a car wiich I would highly recommend, all big supermarkets are about 10-15 mins away. Nice beaches and restaurants in Praia Da Luz about 10 mins drive.

Lovely 2BR / 2BA, 2-story condo on a lovely, quiet, secure, resort property: spacious, modern, clean, in very good condition, with fully equipped kitchen, and excellent housekeeping service, lovely view, and pool just a few steps away. It is a 10 minute drive to Lagos points of interest, grocery stores, gas, etc., so having a car is a must. Plenty of parking in front of condo For such a nice place, we were surprised that the TVs were small, not Smart TVs, and at the substandard gym at the clubhouse 0.8 miles away, which was small, only had 2 ellipticals, and 3 treadmills.

The apartment was fresh looking and clean. The balcony was great. Stayed in Mirachoro III so 30 second walk to the pool, however this was great as it was quieter than having a balcony near the pool and was more private. The staff were exceptional, extremely friendly and polite. Mostly downhill walk into town all with pavements/sidewalk so safe. 30 minute walk downhill to the marina area or 3.65 euros in a Bolt. Would say the location was ideal.

The room was quite large with all the things you need for a holiday stay. I loved the sea view from the balcony and the beach (once you know the route) is a 15 min walk, the beach itself is beautiful. There is a bus that operates twice a day to the beach and to the town centre. There is an Aldi / Lidl 15 mins walk away too. The pool is good and I always had a spot to top up my tan.

A great find, far exceeded the 2 star rating the hotel has. Very comfortable large modern rooms which were cleaned everyday to a high standard. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We arrived end of November so the pool was too cold for us but saw several youngsters in there so wasn't that cold. The area around the pool was equipped with good sunloungers and tables and chairs in well kept gardens, sheltered so a real suntrap. Lounge area comfortable with well priced drinks and snacks. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from the beach front or town centre but the hotel runs a free shuttle bus there and back twice a day which was great. There is also public bus stop 100 metres from the hotel that runs every 30 mins to Portimao or Alvor. Would definitely return.

Myself and six friends stayed at the Mirachoro in July and had the best time. The pool was the perfect size, the location was great, not too far from anything. The rooms were immaculate and the pool bar had a great selection. Thankyou for a great holiday

Stayed here for a week during July as part of a cheap package with Jet2 Our self catering room was basic but adequate, with a clean and comfortable bed, decent bathroom, and good air conditioning Kitchen amenities were very basic but you don’t go on holiday to cook Staff were friendly and the hotel was quite peaceful Pool was small and shallow but fine for a quick dip to cool down, and it was never very busy - it was open 8am to 8pm which was pleasing Bar area was ok too, with reasonably priced drinks. Food was very basic but also cheap You can walk to Aldi, Lidl and McDonald’s in 10 minutes, and to the beach in 20 minutes An Uber to and from the beach was €4 Overall the hotel met our needs as somewhere cheap to sleep and shower as we explored the Algarve If you’re someone who wants to lie by the hotel pool all day, then it might not be for you

This hotel was lovely, basic clean and had everything you could need. I'm sure it was 2 star and honestly I don't know how. We stayed at the Mirachoro 2 and the apartment was massive! It had everything you would need for self catering but we ate out as there was so much choice and the prices are very reasonable. We ate at the hotel sometimes, the food was good although the breakfast while nice I felt wasn't great value for money compared to others we had in pria da roche. The drinks we lovely but I would say get the cocktails in the evening when the gentleman is working the bar as opposed to during the day. The pineapple mojito is beautiful. While small the pool area is nice and we had no issues getting a sun bed. Taxis are reasonable, about 4 Euro in to pria da roche and in to portimao itself. There is a cafe right next to the hotel called the Funky lounge, great food and reasonable prices. We booked a boat trip through reception to explore the caves 30 euro for 2 hours. Would recommend this also. Well worth the money. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for a cheap clean place to stay.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights in September, and were sad to leave. The property is just absolutely beautiful. The views from the rooms, restaurant, and pool area are captivating. I loved sitting out every day, hearing all the birds and the ocean. Our room was huge, and well appointed. The spa area with the steam room and sauna is beautiful and private. We got a massage during our stay and it was lovely. The breakfast was good, with a small made to order menu. I was nervous to book here because recent reviews mentioned rude staff. That was not our experience, the staff were so friendly. The front desk made wonderful recommendations that made our trip better, and the restaurant and bar staff were warm and friendly. The only thing I can think to complain about is the pool temperature. It is frigid, only about 21-22 degrees. It would be nice if it was heated on cooler days.

The room was perfect, the staff were helpful and friendly and there are a range of facilities, pool, gym, spa, but as we were there in the middle of December we could not make use of the pool! The breakfast was excellent as was lunch and dinner. The location is good with an easy walk to the Farol at Ponta de Piedade from the hotel and a harder one to Luz. Just a short drive into Lagos. The hotel has impressive and well-maintained gardens. We will be back!!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in April for our one year anniversary. The hotel is set in a quiet location which is exactly what we wanted, all you can hear is the crashing of the waves below. We had a garden view room (number 10) which had a terrace to the side of the pool and was a lovely sun trap in the afternoon. The room was clean and felt good quality, the bed was comfy and we slept really well. You can join a wonderful wooden walkway from the hotel which walks you all above the ponte de piedade cliffs with many viewpoints and beaches along the way. This eventually leads you to Lagos old town, we would usually take a leisurely stroll there and get a taxi back as it is a good 40/50 minute walk. In the other direction you can visit a sandy beach within 5 minutes, or continue up the cliffs for about 3km until you reach Praia Da Luz. The hotel food was good, breakfast was a buffet with breads, cheeses, smoked salmon and pastries and you could order eggs/ sausage/ bacon from the menu which is also included. We ate here twice for dinner, whilst quite expensive it was good quality, particularly the fresh fish offerings. Whilst there were a few interesting experiences with some staff (they seemed to argue with eachother in another language in front of guests) they were overall welcoming and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting peace and quiet in the algarve.

This is a small, exclusive hotel, and all the rooms are very, very nice. We were in room 12 and we didn't have an excellent view (others we traveled with did), but it didn't matter; the pool and veranda did, and we couldn't have been more comfortable here. Even though we didn't have a view, we had a private patio that was equally nice. The food in the restaurant is excellent, as is the staff, including the front desk. The attention to detail here is special.

This stay exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect for a quiet vacation. Only a ten minute walk to the beach and a 35 minute walk to downtown. The views were exceptional and the pool and grounds were a much needed reprieve after long travel days. But the best part was the staff they were so welcoming and I could not recommend the spa treatments enough. Thanks for the amazing stay 10/10!!!

Prior to our arrival we booked a two bedroom apartment and had requested a quiet room with a nice balcony (as with young children, we knew we'd be spending our evenings there) - we couldn't have been happier with what greeted us! The apartment was a little way (just a few minutes walk) from the main complex around the swimming pool, which concerned me initially, but it was just fantastic. We had a top floor, 2/3 bedroom, 3 bathroom duplex apartment, with a huge balcony and a huge, fully equipped, kitchen - it was amazing. As for the walk to the swimming pool, it might be slightly more convenient to be located closer with younger children, but it's not essential. The facilities at the pool are just as immaculate as the apartments, and for young children, there's a toddler pool and play area - my two boys (2 and 4 yrs) loved it there! However, there is an adult only pool for those who don't want to be surrounded by children, which looked lovely. The apartments are situated about a 5 (or 10 with toddlers!) minute walk to the beach, where the majority of restaurants/cafes are. The resort is lovely, but small, and had we been staying longer than a week, we may have hired a car for a few days to see some sights. Overall, great holiday, fantastic accommodation!

Outstanding location - nestled in quiet peaceful spot, the location of these apartments complex benefits from being just a short easy walk (stroll) to the beach, shops and restaurants. Best of both worlds as you gain a pleasant peaceful environment and also quick access to a very well provided centre and stunning beach. The apartment was spotless, and the complex is extremely well managed - it would be hard to find anything out of place. The reception staff were excellent, responsive, professional, well mannered and graceful - a credit to the complex. There is a lovely heated pool which is designated for adults only and whilst our visit was not during peak holiday season we appreciated an adult area. Close by is another pool for children to use, and also a baby paddling pool. For families there is a playground area for children, and for teenagers the use near the pools of bar football, and pool. A café is available during the day, and an excellent restaurant in the evening (although is closed in February). Tennis courts and sports pitch is also available. The room was very well furnished and had a large terrace to enjoy the Sunshine. This is a top resort, beautifully managed in a first rate location.

We had a fantastic week at this hotel with our 11 month old and 4 year old plus grandparents in two apartments. Our family apartment was like a hotel penthouse! So roomy and spacious with a huge living / dining area, separate kitchen with every appliance we could need including a washing machine and dryer. Two lovely big double bedrooms with their own bathrooms and separate air conditioning units. Huge outdoor terrace area which wrapped around with a little garden to the front. The pool area was always quiet and we loved the pool inflatable and toys free to use plus play area. The small baby pool was perfect and our older child enjoyed swimming in the larger pool too. Faultless staff at the poolside bar and restaurant - Allora.

Myself, my husband and our 4 1/2 year old son stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was immaculate, modern and spacious. It had a main bathroom plus an en suite off our bedroom. The kitchen was fully fitted with all accessories you would need. The only thing we expected but did not have was satellite television as the card had been removed by the owner. Luckily it had a DVD player for our son's DVD's and a stereo for when we stayed in for dinner. The bedding and towels were changed twice in the week we stayed. All rooms had a balcony with outside shutters controlled from the inside. Our lounge and kitchen balcony overlooked gardens with a water feature, mountain views and a distant sea view (it was very peaceful). The complex had a main adult pool (no children allowed) plus a huge main pool and a baby pool. There was a small playground for children, tennis courts, poolside bar and restaurant (Alloro) which served amazing food (Take away or eat in). The staff there were very friendly. The downside was the location as all attractions were too far away for us with a child that does not travel well. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get from Faro airport to the apartment by shuttle, which I would not recommend. We ended up paying 100 Euro's on our return to the airport to go the motorway which only took an hour.

We arrived early and were allowed to use the facilities whilst we waited for our room to be ready. We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment which was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you could wish for. Nice touches were the milk, water, oranges, dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Loved having a front and back balcony as it meant no matter what time of day there was a sunny or shady spot to sit out at. Cleaners came twice during our stay with fresh towels etc. Never had a problem getting a sunbed by the pool and loved the fact that under 16s had their own pool which meant it was always nice and quiet around the adult pool. Fantastic food at the Italian restaurant on site. Did try a couple of restaurants in town/on the beach which were also very nice. Also loved having the underground parking so the car kept nice and cool ready for if we wanted to venture out. Couldn't praise the accommodation or the staff more (except for the young lady on reception who I think was called Beatrice who could take a leaf out of her colleagues books as she was not the friendliest or most helpful of people!). All in all couldn't recommend it more. Five star experience. We will be back.

Stayed here before & husband been numerous times with golf buddies. We love this hotel due to staff being super helpful & friendly. Only a 15 min walk into centre & we find the hotel itself very quiet & tranquil which is why we return. There are always sunbeds & it is peaceful to relax at pool. This year there is a lack of umbrellas at the pool & 2 of the cabanas have no sun shades. The room hairdryer is no good so bring your own but we are very happy with this hotel & will return. Special mention for Rebecca who has been super helpful. 😀

Our trip to Pestana South Beach was fantastic. It has immediate access to the boardwalk and beach. Most days were spent by one of the 3 pools and it never seemed too busy. We had no problems getting a sun lounger each day and the pools were clean and refreshing. The staff were kind and friendly always, made us feel right at home! We would definitely recommend a stay here.

This stylish hotel is in a beautiful beachside position. The common areas are comfortable with interesting mid-century themed decor. The pool area is nice and green with more than enough seating and loungers. Rooms are great, we had a pool facing balcony. The buffet breakfast is perfect, catering for all tastes, and the staff are friendly and helpful. An enjoyable and attractive place to stay.

We considered this hotel along with another hotel across from the marina. We chose this hotel because of the kitchen in the room. Huge plus for us! We were traveling with a six year old who is a picky eater. With a grocery store within walking distance we were able to find food he would eat and prepare it in the room. A very nice benefit. The hotel itself is clean and well kept. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful when we needed assistance. The room staff always made it a point to check in at some point during the day to see if we needed cleaning, sheets, towels, etc. They were considerate and if we were not there they took care of the room for us. I will note, like other reviews, the beds are very firm and the pillows are very thin. The couches in the living room were less hard, but were "bouncy" like the old spring-formed mattresses. The hotel is walkable to the Old Town where there are MANY options for food and souvenirs. There are options closer to the hotel too if you feel like you do not want to walk the 10 minutes to get there. The pool area is perfect for all swimmers; there is a children's pool and a larger pool. The main pool has a zero entry walk in. The "Infant" area on the other side of the hotel wing was not operational (no signs posted, but water was emptied from pool and weeds were growing in the cracks). Very nice hotel and would recommend this to anyone considering staying in Lagos.

We stayed in a superior two bed apartment, which was very spacious and had a large balcony with table, chairs and two sun loungers. View of the pool but some privacy from the trees too. Very clean, daily maid service was great, fab air conditioning kept us cool. Reception staff welcoming and helpful advising on trips etc. We were able to park our hire car in the basement carpark free of charge, handy for transporting our luggage straight up in the lift, as well as keeping the car cool for trips out. Pool area well designed, busy as it was peak season but a nice atmosphere, plenty of sunbeds and we enjoyed going late afternoon when it quietened down. We loved the location at the marina, nice restaurants and cafes nearby, 5 minutes walk to nearest supermarket and an easy walk into the old town across the footbridge. Overall it exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend staying in this beautiful place.

The staff at the reception were very nice and welcoming. As an Expedia VIP access, I was able to get an access to the hotel SPA access. They have a gym, sauna and indoor pool. The hotel room is huge for just the two of us. Room facilities like microwave, kettle and can even cook with their induction cooker. They have a huge outdoor pool and for kids. There are a lot of restaurants and bars around the Marina. It’s a safe area and can reach the old town by foot. I highly recommend this hotel o family and friends, and I will stay in this property if given a chance to comeback.

Very efficient and informative check in. Marina Club Suites was a very clean and pleasing on the eye, bright and good feeling. Was pleasantly surprised with our room. Very clean, spacious, well equipped. The pool area was very nice, ample sun loungers. Nice terrace overlooking the pool. Very close to the marina. 15 minutes walk to Lagos old town. Would recommend to family and friends.

Nice hotel but some things should be improved: we asked double bed-we got two twin beds, put next to eachother-we have been falling in between them all the time. Curtains in the room were super dusty, shower could be cleaner. Robes only in xl size (waaay to big), torn pockets. External children area floor covered with green fabric full of holes-dangerous for children and simply looking bad. Windows in the internal swimming pool dirty. Breakfast ok, but they serve water that tastes like tap water, glases only 100ml (in a 5* hotel?!)-to hydrate yourself you need to visit water/juice station several times. Swimming pool bar closed 1 hour before closing the pool, during the day some drinks not availiable (bartender send me to go upstairs to the other bar). In general: nice design of the room and the hotel itself, nice relaxing area and swimming pool, great views, friendly staff (but some don’t speak English). Hotel more for families with children (lot of them, very loud) than for a romantic weekend.

This hotel is an amazing retreat! Surprisingly you can't hear the noise from the racing track just nearby. The staff is very nice and attentive. The location is great if you want to be in a quiet part of the Algarve (30 minutes from Portimão). The breakfast is great. It has variety and the products are fresh and high quality. The hotel has an amazing outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately the it was too windy and we were not able to enjoy it. The Jacuzzi and the indoor swimming pool are great too! The room is as in the pictures, it is big and the decoration is modern. Overall, we recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy a quiet retreat in the Algarve!

It's really close to everything in the town. The beach is about 100m away and there are loads of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The pool area was nice and quiet. Apartment was big enough for the two of us. The equipment was basic, but just enough to deal with simple breakfasts. The little supermarket across the road was useful for picking up supplies for the apartment and drinks around the pool.

This accommodation was great! Spacious apartment with 2 balcony areas- living room and bedroom-with a beautiful view of the sea. The view was stunning! The room was clean and suitable for my partner and I, we stayed for a week and felt right at home during our stay. The apartment was equipped with all kitchen utensils for people who were wanting to cook. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful and we also enjoyed the pool facilities that were available at Jardins da Rocha. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone, it was reasonably priced and a perfect location for what we needed. The strip is around a 5 minute walk from the hotel location with supermarkets and lots of restaurants nearby.

Excellent view from the 26th floor. The studio had everything we needed, and the room was larger than expected. It looked exactly like the pictures. It was a great deal for the money we spent. I wish we had skipped visiting Lisbon and stayed here longer. I feel the negative reviews previously given were unjustified since they accurately described and pictured the room(s). There were no surprises. You do have to give a deposit for the pool card and car parking gate opener. The parking is free! They gave the deposit money back immediately upon check out.

Myself and my partner stayed in this beautiful hotel for 5 nights in September. Location is amazing. Right next to the beach and 2 mins away from strip but very quiet where we were staying. The rooms were spacious and clean. Lively reception staff. Also straight across the road from a supermarket with fresh bakery which was perfect. The pool was a great size also with loads of comfy beds. I would totally recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again.🥰

The hotel was easy to find and only 40 yards to the Praia da Rocha. It has a nice kitchen. The entire hotel is spotless clean especially the rooms. Two swimming heated pools are also on the property . We stayed there for three nights , we should have stayed six . There are many places to walk for food nearby.good WiFi. Friendly staff ! The hotel had a heated indoor pool - sauna and steam room which was lovely - we never ate at the hotel but did eat at the beach bar and the food was very good. Supermarket 300yds from Villa .

Our stay was in an older, 2-storey motel-type building surrounded by villas. All suites in our building faced the ocean, and the beach boardwalk was a few steps away. Our suite had a kitchenette and was large with stunning, direct views of the ocean and nearby rocks from the large balcony. Enjoyed it immensely. Difficult to find as it is in Alvor, not Portimao proper, and there are numerous Pestana facilities in the vicinity. The grounds are under construction and parts of the complex are a bit run down.

Family holiday for 5 days. Villa was an apartment in a 2-storey block, ocean views, <100m from the ocean even less to the beach). Quiet without being silent, other kids around too for ours to see and play with, other families and couples enjoying their time. Great base for exploring Alvor. Some parts of the complex a little bit more tired than others, but we felt that lent more character!

Uitstekende ligging vlakbij het strand waardoor je o.a. wordt uitgenodigd om te gaan wandelen. De Villa's zelf zijn prima geoutilleerd, vrijwel alle noodzakelijke zaken zijn aanwezig en alles wordt uitstekend schoongehouden, kortom een warme aanrader!!

Wir haben in den Superior Villas gewohnt. Sie waren sehr sauber und alles hat funktioniert. Das Personal wwar sehr nett und freundlich.
