Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Mexico

The location is great, close to the airport but very quiet! The hotel has all facilities and amenities. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Internet is stabil and fast. My room had a small balcony to overlook the garden! They have an outdoor pool and a gym. There is a restaurant and coffee bar and a "real" bar for the evening if you feel like having a beer or tequila. Overall a very good experience!

Shuttle to pick you up from the airport was seamless. We were very early and found us a room within a few hours. The restaurant in the lobby was lovely and breakfast buffet that was included was beyound que rico!! Also, they put coffee, flavored water and cookies by the elevator on each floor. Pool was a nice size and plenty of lounge chairs.

Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. We would like to give a big compliment to the barman Oswaldo Ofrei who's knowledge about tequila and his hospitality was amazing! The food in the restaurants was very tasty plus the beautiful view gave an extra vibe during our meals. We enjoyed the swim up bars in both different swimming pools and even accessible from the jacuzzi. In general we are very happy with our holiday and stay at hotel Emporio.

Surprisingly, the food was really good for being all Inclusive. This is a great hotel with great service, variety of food all for amazing value. We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were cleaned daily and we always came back to a spotless room. After a long day of swimming. They have a couple different pools. We mostly stayed at the adults pool that has a pool bar. There was a great variety of alcohol and cocktails. Even the beer selection was nice. There was another nice bar at the beach, where you can lay out on a cabana, and still be really close to the bar and beach. Staff was very friendly and very attentive. For the food, there was a lot of variety. It was a solid 8/10 and to make reservations at the restaurants. You just gotta make sure you get on it to secure your spot. Me and my husband went on an impulsive trip to Cancun, and honestly for the price. It was a great, we really enjoyed our time here! Oh, we also like that around 4 P.M. they come around to hand out food like ceviche or Popsicles or fruit. I really liked that touch!

Two very nice pool bars and one bar directly at the beach. Fantastic access to the beach. Probably one of the best access areas in the hotel zone with a wide beach and very clean. Lot of beach loungers/chairs with beach umbrellas. The food at the buffet was super good. Dinner buffet was the best. Great selection and variety of food. Every day different things. All kind of meats, fish, salads, vegetables, soup, taco bar, noodles, etc. Very friendly hotel stuff. One big hot top with a very nice view located in a higher floor level. A huge infinity pool with a gigantic view. Generally very nice and big hotel area.

Overall, we had a good stay at the Emporio. What I liked: - Restaurant and bar staff were lovely - The cleaning staff did a fantastic job in the rooms and around the hotel in general - The pools were nice (only one hot tub was actually hot though) - The beach was really nice for half our trip, the water was turquoise blue and the waves mild (the other half had very rough surf so I guess it depends on how lucky you are with weather) - We had an ocean front room - 3rd floor - a bit of noise from the restaurant above, but lovely view of the ocean and infinity pool. Great view for New Year's even fireworks up and down the beach.

Absolute paradise so classic and our room and private pool were incredible! Jeeps take you anywhere you want and everything is so nice you don’t want to leave the property. The concha beach club is heaven on earth and the staff treats you like a King.

Las Brisas is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. We had a private pool, I highly recommend this experience! The staff are extremely kind and helpful, went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for.

What an excellent hotel. Parking near reception. Huge rooms. A welcoming attentive staff. My room had a private pool, and there was also an infinity pool on the roof. And finally to help my body recover each day, I had a relaxing massage at their spa.

Amazing hotel, pure jungle feeling, you can upgrade yourself to private pool rooftop room, which is amazing, or just enjoy one of the pool on a rooftop terrace!!! Smell of copal around the area really makes it phenomenal

We had a great stay at the Copal Tulum Hotel. The staff was very nice. The food is very delicious. We are lunch st the restaurant and dinner at the Kokoro and it was really nice. We had the 2 bedroom apartment with the private pool and it was very nice. We would come over and over again!

Xcarat is beautiful, clean, safe and one stop shop. We had a great time this around . Got upgraded with a swim up pool , so that was a plus. Food is delicious and convenient. Love it , will be coming back soon

As a solo traveler this was amazing, all inclusive amenities galore! The swim up garden room was an absolute dream to sleep In each night, everything from the historic art and soul poured into each room to the smallest details of local made goodies left as gifts almost daily, each with its own story to tell of its origins and heritage. The staff were all super helpful one gentleman even went as far as to pause his duties and directly escort me to the gym area. Everything from the beaches, the gift shops, the endless drink and food options made this stay definitely a hard one to top!

We loved everything about our stay. We stayed in casa de la paz and we had the bonus of having free hydrotherapies if we wanted as part of our stay. The food was incredible, the highlight was Apapachoa, although is vegan it's top quality and the service was the best. You're never bored to know where to go, so many options of pools, roof top pools, water canals and beach. Having access to all the parks is always a big plus! our favourite was Xplor Fuego and Xochimilco. The room was sensational! we stayed 2 weeks for our honeymoon and the bed was so comfortable, we even tried the sauna in the bathroom! All in all, no complaints with the room. Staff was all super friendly, always willing to make your stay more fun and comfortable. In terms how we would rate the restaurants, most favourite were Apapachoa (rooftop delight), Encanta (degustation menu with view of the theatre), and Arenal (awesome lunch options), Mercado San Juan (lots of delicious food options, we loved sunday's brunch), Cayuco (we loved making our own seafood cocktails and ceviches), Chino Poblano (great asian and mexican mix of flavours), Cantina (great flavours). Best places for cocktails rooftop pool bar at casa la piramide and Arenal. We also went to HA in our last night and was worth every penny! very memorable and incredible food, definitely worthwhile to go.

This is a 10 out of 10 hotel. Food was exceptional..especially at the pool (pool menu vavavoom). Hotel itself was loco fabulous. The parks included...wow! Make sure to use the pools as they are fabulous...and the river kayaks!

This hotel was awesome. Food and drinks were good, staff was great, parks and workshops were fun, room was big, clean and comfortable. Everyday you received a Mexican treat enclosed in a small weave basket to take home - in addition to your stocked out mini bar and snack tray. You also get to keep the reusable water bottles and beach bag in your room. The communication between me and the hotel via email before arrival was excellent. I was able to reserve activities, airport shuttle, and restaurants prior to my stay. You need a reservation for the restaurant Tah-Xido but it was worth it. I also enjoyed the other restaurants Mercedes de San Juan, Cayuco, and Arenal. The wet bar at the pool was nice and a lot of sitting areas. I recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful, modern hotel. The location is great - just a couple of minutes walk to the main avenue where the shops and restaurants are and not near the louder part of the street. The rooftop is wonderful with two infinity pools, sunbeds, sofas and a bar. The main pool has music playing but if you want a quieter space to read or listen to your own music you can go to the smaller pool. There is a lovely, friendly vibe on the rooftop and we usually got chatting to people! The rooms are nice and clean with large beds and good wifi.

We stay at this hotel for the location.,very closer to la quinta avenida in playa del carmen. Rooms are clean,very comfortable beds,roof top and swimming pools are are great with bar and music Great service incthe swimming pool area from brian,clavel,in the lobby front desk alma is very helpful and polite, in the lobby restaurant santiago was really friendly and great waiter. Definitely will stay here again.

This hotel is very nice. The location is in close proximity to restaurants, stores, cafes as well as the beach. The rooms are spacious, very clean & dry ( some hotels have humidity & AC issues). It is quiet & comfortable. The staff is friendly. The pool is very nice & the view is beautiful. I just wish the music was different in the pool area. It was this same repetitive beat…

Our stay at Aloft PDC was nothing short of amazing! We stayed in the Breezy Room with a balcony and loved it. The room is HUGE and the bed is very comfortable! All of the staff were so nice and helpful. Their bartenders were a lot of fun and make a fantastic margarita! Their room service food was fresh and so good.. especially the nachos! Order the nachos! Aloft is also in a great location and close to everything. Although it’s not on the beach (hence it not being as expensive as other places) when you’re on the rooftop pool, the view of the ocean is gorgeous and feels so close. The grocery store underneath has EVERYTHING you need and is so convenient.. except their fresh made pizza.. don’t order that, it was beyond terrible. But there are amazing places to eat within a short walk and 5th ave and the beach are only a couple of blocks away. We basically walked everywhere we went and always felt safe. We had the most amazing week long vacation and Aloft PDC left a long lasting impression on us and we will definitely be back to visit there each year!

Nice big room, actually 2nd stay within a couple of weeks in area and stayed 3 nights. Great location, just off tourist strip, walk to everything. Grocery store in complex for groceries, beer, etc. Rooftop is excellent, 2 pools, lots of loungers, good service for food & drink. Also gym was perfect. Restaurant and front desk service and staff were very good, thanks to Alberto and assistant in training (lost his name) who were very helpful with room, recommendations and assist with making airline phone calls, where I was on hold twice for long stints and able to use house phone. Low season meant low rates, very good value.

We stayed in Penthouse Suite # 1 which has a wonderful 180 degree view of the ocean. The suite is nicely appointed & very spacious. It has 2 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. There is a king bed in each room. The penthouse suite has a separate lounge & small dining table. The suite had a microwave & full size fridge as well as utensils. We were very comfortable. We had own private plunge pool. It was cold, but enjoyable. Filtered drinking water is available on all floors. We had a pitcher in our suite which we kept filled. The Pool bar is great & the bar tender made me fabulous pina coladas. The location of the hotel is very convenient. We loved walking the Malećon & visiting Old Town.

We really liked that the beach is a few steps across the street and you can get chairs and umbrellas from the hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is amazing! We didn't like that the pool area is kind of small and you can't really get pool service. It doesn't feel like you're at a resort, but it's what you get for a rooftop pool. The food at lunch by the pool is amazing. The surrounding area of the hotel is kind of dirty, but never did we feel unsafe. It's a great location for walking to the Malecon and to several restaurants. It's the 2nd time we have stayed here due to it's location. One downside is that you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet so you have to put it in a garbage can which takes a little getting used to.

Fantastic roof top pool with a spectacular view. Great location. Pool snack bar was wonderful. Rooms are big. Beds are very hard. Nearby bar blasts music until midnight but roof top pool made up for it.

It was a very relaxing quiet oasis off the main boardwalk but not too far from everything that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The staff was proactive and kind. Their complimentary breakfast was delicious and green juice to look forward to each morning. I would come back again to this property because of the laid back vibe. The pool with the view of playa camarones was breathtaking, the rooftop bar snack was all fresh to order. I wanted to stay away from screaming kids in the pool so this was the perfect stay for those looking for quieter atmosphere.

Clean, small, nice, and comfy. The pool is not heated, it was too cold. My husband did not go in me, and my boys did, but we froze, for good 30 minutes. NO water bottles for your room. One minute away from the beach walking distance. The service was excellent! Our stay was for 2 days and breakfast was cold both days. Will recommend the snack bar by the pool. Food, drinks, and service were excellent! Over all 9/10.

The property is just amazing!!! So quiet and peaceful. The rooms are clean and the place is maintained so well, the waterin the shower is super hot and the stream is great (which is not common is Mexico). The AC is freezing! The breakfast is very rich, and I loved there is a buffet where you can take cereals, coffee, bread, juice and more. You can also fill your water bottle whenever you want for free. The staff are very nice, helping with everything (taxis, problems with the wifi and etc.). I loved that you can use the Sup boards and Kayaks for free. Also the pool next to the lagoon is a bit warm and clean! The view is ON SPOT! The facilities are wonderful right on the lagoon. So chilling!! Could stay there forever (just kidding, I need more money 😋)

Our family of 3 stayed in the room with 4 twin beds (backpacker style!) when we stayed during the annular eclipse. The room was very basic, especially the bathroom, but the view was stunning. We loved the pool, dock and ease of checking out the included kayaks and paddleboards. Service was excellent and everyone was so friendly - some of the best service we have experienced in Mexico. The only downside was the beds were quite hard and could use some kind of softer covering. Overall, highly recommend!

Everything - we had the most relaxing stay! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and delicious. the restaurant beside the hotel was also delicious for dinner. Kayaks and paddle boards available for use during the day - sun loungers and the pool as well. Very peaceful!

Great stay, nice pool, good service for Mexican standards. They need to relax with needing an ID for the pool towels though. Will be staying here again just for the pool (best pool in Aguascalientes).

We loved the architecture, the gardens and the pool. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The wifi did not work in our room and was super weak elsewhere in the hotel. I believe staff said they were fixing it. The pool was supposedly closed after 8pm but a large group of people proceeded to have a pool party from 10:30PM to 2AM. Despite that we enjoyed the hotel immensely.

This hotel is acceptable for a weekend vacation with your kids to have fun on the swimming pool and knowing the city with the family. The rooms are average, with a coffee maker that I could have used if it was in a good looking shape. The AC worked fine and the bathroom amenities are also average. Cable TV is ok, but the WiFi is not good, forget about using the WiFi to do serious work, email checking is ok. The pool bar does not work and it seems it has been like this for a long time. The pool maintenance is good and the water is warm. The hotel interior gardens are used to take pictures for wedding and anniversaries. The breakfast is good; the restaurant is open only for breakfast. Hotel personnel is attentive and willing to help.

I've been to old haciendas, but this one is amazing. It is located in the middle of old Aguascalientes, hidden from travelers, and only found by those with a unique, but elegant eye. This place was built in 1897, with a strong Spanish feel to it. Staying here will make you travel back in time to a stone built hacienda fortress. It is awesome! Just a fair warning, be careful with the pool. The tile is slippery. We had an accident.

Staff were great, breakfast was nice and all amenities such as pool, daily paper, wi-fi, and parking were great. A refrigerator would be a nice touch, but the room had daily water and a coffee maker in the room, plus a jacuzzi tub, patio, and separate seating area.

The food at Yucatán buffet was always tasty and fresh. Servers were always warm welcoming and attentive. Swim up pool room was awesome. Pool was clean and warm

First time in Cabo and had the best time ever! Food was amazing - the buffet offered something different every night but the taco offerings and lamb chops were so good!!! We enjoyed a swim up room by the quiet pool and loved every view we had.

We held a birthday event here and had a guest list of 36 people. The resort was a great location and close to downtown Cabo. Its a beautiful resort with numerous amenities. I will say that the food was not as good as I anticipated as I have stayed at other RIU's where the food was phenomenal. The food here was hit or miss. Breakfast was definitely the best meal of the day. I also noted that the food preparers did not wear gloves which also raise my concern. I suggest gloves going forward. I had a swim up room which i loved. I wished the bed was a king vs two doubles but i loved my room.

Stayed at the Riu Palace with 25 guys for a stag from April 10th to 15th. It was fantastic with no issues. Check in and check out was a breeze. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The mini bar was stocked daily with large waters, sodas and beer etc. all the bars including the swim up bars were excellent with a variety of delicious drinks. All the staff was very friendly and work their bums off. The breakfast buffet was excellent with so many options. Highly recommended the Japanese ala carte, it was delicious. There were no issues with upset stomach etc. highly recommended the Riu Palace Cabo

We loved the Riu Palace!! There was always something going on that you could participate in if you wanted. The swim up bar was amazing. The only thing that was a bummer was we weren't able to eat at the Japanese restaurant or steak house. While on the website it says there could be a wait time, we didn't realize there would be a chance to not get in at all. Besides that, everything was amazing!!!!

We loved our stay here. We had the plunge pool room and it was absolutely beautiful. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival, the man behind the reception was so incredibly helpful, and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

The property is on the side of the island that is accessible only with the golf cars = taxis on the local island. It's a new property, carefully designed. The main building reminded me more of a city hotel than an island hotel. We had booked the rooms with the private pool and I wish we had a bit more privacy in our balcony/private pool. The room was spacious, the bed big and comfortable. We had to ask for a hair dryer from the reception but the rest of the bathroom amenities were provided (towels, shampoo and shower gel). The breakfast was tasty although it was lacking variety.

The staff were absolutely exceptional! Juan and Annie were so kind and consistently checking in on us. The room was clean and the staff evidently cared deeply about the property. We stayed in the plunge pool suite and the pool was deep cleaned every morning. We are often at the property because the food was wonderful, the horchata was the best on the island! We stayed for 5 days and the breakfast was on a perfect 3 day rotation, keeping it interesting and it was so fresh and tasty.

It was absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing! Was able to communicate with staff via WhatsApp at literally any time during my stay. The plunge pool upgrade was so worth it especially after staying out in the town until after pool hours and being. able to come back late and swim at any time. Would 1000x go back. We went for a little weekend getaway without our 3yo so it being adults only was extra peaceful.

Currently, there is a ton of construction taking place at the facility. They placed us in two rooms at the end of the hotel - it is very large and spread out. Nice rooms with a fresh update. Beds and linens are good. Sleeper couch. Big flat screen TV. Small fridge and coffee maker in room and nice bathroom facilities. Staff is kind and professional. The grounds are beautiful. Some wildlife to observe. The pool is not as large as the pictures would lead one to believe and there was a lot of debris, biting bugs and bees not only around the area, but in the pool too. Still, my kids enjoyed their time in the pool. The restaurant has excellent food and weak drinks. We would return. It's not perfect, but it's safe, comfortable and quiet.

If you have to be in this area, this is not a bad choice. It might have been a 5 star hotel in the past, as you can see how it is build. Now it looks more like a 4 star hotel. It looks okay, but nothing too luxurious. The room is roomy, the bathroom a bit dated. But it has airco that works (a must in this region, even in january... I can not, and do not want to, imagine here in May). The bed... well, as too often in Mexico (with Mexican hotels, not so much with international hotels in Mexico) the bed is too hard. I am still not used how hard beds can be in Mexican hotels. They should start putting softer beds... The service is good, especially in the restaurant/room service area (food, breakfast, drinks etc). Very welcoming, with good memory and basically very good. (The reception should learn from the guys in the restaurant!) The hotel has an okay pool. There you look towards a river, which is nicer then looking at buildings in Coatzacoalcos itself (it is not a very pretty city with highlights known around the world). You get at least the holiday atmosphere. If in the area, this would probably be my choice again. Because of the people fro food and beverage and the pool. If you have to be in coatzacoalcos, this seems to be your safest bet.

Terranova hotel is a very nice hotel which accepts pet, albeit quite an additional coast attached to it. The room was lovely with big comfortable bed, nice linen and towels provided. We loved the speed of wifi, the fastest we had encountered all along our trip. We enjoyed the pool and the massive grounds were a great place for our pet and us to stretch our legs. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was very copious and reasonable priced. We would recommend this hotel for people traveling with pets.

The layout of this hotel was lovely. Our room and bed was comfortable. The restaurant was good. The grounds are beautiful. Its location gives a feeling of a retreat. I enjoyed the pool and the walking path that skirts the river. I would definitely stay here again should I ever return to Coatzalcoalcos.

Delicious food, extensive cuisine options, multiple pools, adults only pool + swim up bar & lounge, spa, fitness center, Kids Club, dolphin sanctuary, theatre & fantastic customer service! Tons of activities available. Just go! You will love it!

We stayed in a swim-up room and loved overlooking the ocean. The hotel's own beach is quite narrow, but it also connects to a large, wide public beach with a calm shallow lagoon. Between that and the two pools there are plenty of spaces to splash and sunbathe. To-go coffees at the coffee shop were friendly and efficient. Restaurants were better than your average all inclusive, and I really liked that there were extra themed snack carts that came out at different times of the day (churro, margarita, crepe). Cocktails were good. The self brewed beer was not good. In some resorts, the swim-up rooms have wait staff come by for drink orders, but they don't do that at this one.

We LOVED the Hyatt Ziva. I'm so glad I splurged for this classy hotel. I did a lot of research about food, best beaches to avoid sargassum, etc. First of all, the property is breathtaking, especially your first view walking into the lobby. So much blue water everywhere! The service is top notch; shout out to Eduardo, Sofia, Oscar, and Alex at the gym who made my birthday special, Amisaely, Juan at Tradewinds restaurant as well. We felt like VIPs the entire time. The food was great. I am not a big all inclusive fan because I get tired of the same choices but there were lots of options. We didn't get to try Le Bastille because we had kids with us, but liked the buffet for breakfast - amazing fruit and mexican food, crepes, mimosa, etc. and the coffee shop was super convenient and turned out excellent drinks. I was surprised how there was never a wait. Lorenzo's was our favorite for dinner. We took advantage of activities like Aqua Combat and bingo and just really leaned into the whole vibe. It was fun. Our teens just enjoyed hanging out with us at the pool, and relaxing in our personal hammock with view of the ocean (swim up room). We were able to get chair at the pool pretty easily in the late morning. The umbrellas were down on the 2 windy days but we just went to the beach where they have lots of shade from palapas over the loungers. Beach and pool so close- perfect layout! Drinks a little sweet so we stuck with beer, prosecco, and tequila on the rocks/soda

The property was great! MBH is about 5km away from the center of bacalar, which makes it perfect if you're looking for something quiet and private. The property is quite large and even has biking trails to ride one, kayaks, and paddle boards for free. Bar has really good drinks, food is great,i and I would highly recommend having a day out on the dock and trying their Potatoes and wings. Private pools are also heated, which is great, wonderful views of the lagoon from the balconies and stunning sunrises, reception staff was really great as well as the bar and restaurant staff. Bacalar taxi service is also very responsive to get you to town in the area the hotel is located. Highly recommend and will be back.

I extremely liked the infrastructure, the vibes and the facilities the hotel has. The views are awesome, I particularly liked the lagoon deck, it is super comfortable. This is a place to enjoy delicious dishes and drinks, as well as bike rides, jacuzzis, a cool pool, saunas and kayak rides. The hospitality with which they treat you makes you feel quite comfortable and makes this a place you don't want to leave soon.

Hands down this is the best hotel on the island! Better than some of the most expensive ones around! It has the most beautiful deck onto the lagoon. The staff is incredibly polite and very accommodating! The views from the terrace (with the tiny swimming pool) at the top of one of the buildings and the jacuzzi terrace in another one of the buildings are simply breathtaking! An absolutely incredible experience!

Die Anlage an und für sich ist sehr schön. Leider aber etwas heruntergekommen, darin nur 4 Sterne. Auf jedem Dach der Häuser ist eine Sauna und ein Jacuzzi oder kleiner Pool. Leider funktioniert das meiste nicht. Beim See ist es schön aber direkt am Anfang wächst Seetang und darüber zu schwimmen ist eklig und gefährlich. Es müsste entfernt werden…
