Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Oaxaca

I got the room with the private pool! It was great, really nice to come back to that and relax in the evenings. I highly recommend this resort. The staff were great! Really clean rooms and just all around a great experience.

Location was amazing. I like the easy and private access to the beach and the private pool had such a nice view.

Great staff, great restaurants and a really comfortable bed. The two pools were very nice and our private patio pool was incredible! We decided to spend a little extra on the king suite with private pool and it was well worth it. The two main pools were nice but we loved our private pool so much that we spent most of our mornings and evenings in it.

It was a completely relaxing environment and we moved from the plunge pool in the room to the pool to the beach, could order our food and drink from any of them and absolutely loved it. The hotel arranged transportation if we needed it.

Resort is big, private and luxurious. There is direct beach access, two pools, two restaurants and two bars. Our room had a private balcony with outdoor seating, a beautiful hammock and private pool.

Wonderful quiet boutique hotel. Only 28 rooms. Loved our large room with personal pool. Exceptional staff made our stay so pleasant.

We were on our honeymoon. Staff was fantastic and always very helpful. Breakfast was always very good. Restaurant was nice. since the hotel only has about 28 rooms it always felt very private and perfect for couples or honeymooners. We had one of the suites with the private pool. Room was huge. Bathroom with a nice jacuzzi tub. 2 balconies, one with a hammock and below with the private pool. Sea views were amazing as it is on a hill. It was a fantastic honeymoon and everything was brilliant. We will be looking to come back in the future.

A friend and I stayed here for a long weekend (4 nights Saturday through Wednesday). We wanted a good base from town to explore local beaches, and a pool in case we wanted to stay in. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite with a private kitchen and small private pool on the balcony. Really great, central location. Helpful staff, beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and daily housekeeping was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Yes, the hotel is older and rustic just as the pictures show but it’s got so much character. Lots of critters too, squirrels, anoles, geckos and iguanas. The pool is warm as well. Bathrooms have nice pressure and hot water. Wifi is weak but better by the pool. A/C is the best! Good to know. Tacos and a bank on the corner, Oxxo up the stairs for morning coffee. Little stores all around and the playa principal is just a calm 10 minutes away. Good eats: tacos on the corner, Junto al Mar in the beach. Guillermo at the front desk had great recommendations as well. We were happy with our stay.

It’s 10% away from being a high class joint. It needs updates in details in the structures like tiles, pool chairs, more shaded areas around the pool, towel racks, coffee available in lobby etc etc

The hotel has a beautiful location, really nice pool, and great rooms! The pool and A/C were a necessity in the August heat. Within very easy walking distance to great restaurants and local beaches.

Outside the hustle bustle of the beaches but just on the cusp, so we lived the location. This is an old hotel but they ns of charm and friendly nice. Great pool and Taqueria just half block away. Our room was on the pool, so at times it got a little loud late when people came home, but without a doubt stay again. Beds are firm.

Everything. The rooms, the pool, the bar, the views, and most importantly the people… everything at Villa Bonobo was incredible. The rooms are very comfortable with air conditioning. The pool area is clean, great for lounging and meeting other travelers. Alicia and her staff are so friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Can’t recommend Villa Bonobo enough!

Even before arriving I got the nicest welcome whatsapp messages and instructions on how to get there easily by Fran... then the check in was super easy and the two best hostesses Fran and Sorrell made me feel at home right away. The place is beautiful, the sights from the terrace are amazing, the pool is perfect... they made sure we all felt like a little family, would give you any recommendation, invite you to participate in the hostel events, we went out partying after the famous Wednesday BBQ at the terrace... they saved my breakfast everytime I came after breakfast serving time from yoga class. My stay in Puerto hadn't been the same if it weren't for Bonobos. Thank you Fran and Sorrell from the bottom of my heart <3

Such a calm and beautiful villa. So nice to just relax by the pool. We stayed in the shared four person dorm and this is the most hotel-like hostel I have stayed in. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming - they made our experience an incredible one. It is a short walk into the busy town so it felt nice being slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of La Punta. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with the opportunity to meet other travellers! Thank you again Villa Bonobo, we will be back!

The property looks just as the photos, it was really clean and the staff were so lovely! It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main bit of town which we liked because we could get our steps in and also it meant it was peaceful in the evening. The pool and communal area was lovely and the breakfast was amazing. We booked the dolphin tour through the hostel (which we highly recommend) and they saved breakfast for us for when we got back - which just shows how they go above and beyond!

Beach towels were shabby, no plugs in bathroom, poor lighting in room, A/C not the best due to louvers & screens on both ends of room, private pool NOT inviting, very little drinking water in room, continental breakfast - tight, rooms not #'d, amenities were sparse, rust areas in pool, ants everywhere, horrible road to get there, no phone in room, no paper or pen in room - for what is charged!!! Staff was great, nice pool and interesting looking place on line.

The location is excellent, and you have the beach in front almost completely by yourself (but no swimming due to the current). The room was superb; the bed was super comfy, and the view was stunning. The staff were great and always made sure we stayed hydrated by serving us water whenever we came down to the pool or bar. They also served us lunch by the beach, which was great. The food in the restaurants was really good, especially the ceviche. Great and fast wifi in the restaurant/pool area.

We enjoyed four days at the property which is beautiful. It is a nice place to relax.The rooms are large and well appointed, and the pool is wonderful. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Because the hotel is a bit far from town, we ate three of our dinners at the hotel. The food was delicious and the menu varied. They also have a nice selection of wines. I look forward to returning one day.

Elegantly designed property, amazing pool and beach access. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had some of the best food we’ve ever tasted at the on site restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to Puerto Escondido.

The location and seclusion on the beach. Not too far from town. Staff were great, the food and drinks exceptional. The landscaping and pool area, architecture and layout is very relaxing

Fernanda was so amazing!! She helped us with anything we needed. Isaul definitely took care of us at the swim up bar. We had the best time!

Property was excellent, the staff and customer service level here is amazing!! A few things to note: - The restaurants are great, we loved the Japanese style and French one. I will warn in advance room service, the poolside grill, and buffet are NOT good. My wife got food poisoning from the poolside grill on the last few days of our trip.. - The relaxation factor here is excellent however if you are looking for more of a party/fun vibe this is not the resort for you. The pool is divided into a quiet and loud side, the loud side has a strict policy on certain music played at certain times and all activities are on a very tight schedule. This was an amazing experience and we have plans to go back, just figured these two are important things to note when considering booking here!

The property needs some upgrades, pool tiles falling off everywhere. There is not enough pool chairs for everyone and if you want one you can never sleep in because you have to reserve a chair by six am to sit by the pool. There was this awful whistling sound that ran throughout the day and night no idea what it was but kind of kills the mood sitting out on the deck listening to the ocean. Food was ok, loved the Japanese and thier seafood.

I stayed at this resort with my daughter Sept 2025. It is an amazingly beautiful resort with spectacular views of the ocean as well as the huge pools. Check out the pictures online as it is well worth a stay! The entire resort staff were kind, provided quality service and spoke good English. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The Entertainment Team: Daniel, Amir, Ximena, Antonio, Alejandra & Julio (manager) deserve special mention. This team is made up of exceptional people who work hard to make you feel welcome & to fill the days & nights with fun activities. They approached every activity with energy & enthusiasm to make our stay memorable. The resort offered daily tennis lessons, pickleball, pool & beach volleyball, dance lessons, aqua-aerobics, yoga, sailing & ocean sports plus a variety of evening shows & live music. We developed good friendships with the team by the time we departed. We definitely plan to return to this resort in future.

I would like to highlight all the five star features that my wife and I experienced at Secrets Huatulco: Transportation (airport and local sites), staff experience, entertainment (Julio - Entertainment Manager, Alejandro - Tennis, Daniel - Ass't Mngr, Alejandra - E team), Beach and Pool, Room, Breakfast, and Spa. We found the entire area of Huatulco to be very safe. Water and food quality was ideal - did not hear or experience any negativity. Every room at the resort faces the pool and beach - rooms are updated, clean, and spacious. Overall infrastructure was very good (wifi, bathrooms, safety protocols, electricity, etc.). The vibe is very chill. We are looking forward to coming back next year.

Excellent design and service. Villa comes with a private chef that is around for anything you may need during your stay. Private pool and jacuzzi, right in front of the beach. No need to go out! Perfect for relaxation.

Casa Joseph has the friendliest, hardest working and most efficient staff. They seemed to anticipate what I needed before I knew I did. I chose a chaise at the beach, before I knew it, someone was raising my umbrella and brining me an ice bucket of water bottles. After bringing a couple of drinks they brought an ice cold damp washcloth to cool off with. I have been to places where a reservation was needed for a chaise, not here. It appeared that there was enough for every room on the property, whether they used it or not. Plenty of tables on the sand for meals, but also a dining room on the third floor overlooking the ocean if you prefer. There was a bar on the sand and music at night. Yoga in the morning and meditation at night, not my thing, but looked very nice. The pool was secluded from the sand and wind, but looked out at the ocean. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable with a large balcony looking out to the ocean with every amenity you could imagine. There was security both in the front and the back to ensure safety. I received a text from Miguel before arriving and he arranged for our transportation from the airport and for our daily needs. I have never given such a Lengthy review, and I've traveled all over the world, but the hard work and detail that went into making these last four days was very apparent and I hope you decide to expedience it yourself.

Stunning design and location, directly on a gorgeous sunny stretch of beach. As noted, it's not a swimming beach due to rough currents but you can go in a few feet to cool off plus there is a sparkling clean pool. Food quality is excellent and the staff gets an A for effort on the service. There is one kitchen on the beach that serves the entire facility and at peak times that can slow things down but generally we had very good service through about 15 meals over 6 days. There's limited dining nearby but the food quality here is 5 stars and quite honestly even when we went elsewhere there's not a huge amount of variety. Puerto Escondido is an out-of-the-way "end of the road" kind of place so just manage your expectations. The regular "oceanfront" suites are a bit tight, especially the bathrooms (we're both skinny otherwise would have been a challenge) but with the view and terrace more than compensate for all that. Ask for room on the third floor for best view if you don't mind the stairs. Also CONFIRM arrival and departure dates directly with hotel since we had issues with both. There's a lot of nodding and agreement (everyone very polite and friendly) but not sure they always understood my English or high school Spanish.

Loved everything about this hotel. Incredible service, truly the most attentive, well trained staff I’ve ever experienced in Mexico. Located on an enormous beach with no hotels on either side. Amazing food whether you’re at the beach, the pool or the restaurant. Nice wine selection and tasty cocktail choices. Comfortable beach loungers with as many umbrellas as you want and unlimited free drinking water all day. Two happy hours a day. Live music every night. All rooms are beach front. We stayed in the basic beachfront which was a little small for us but adequate. Nice bath supplies, mini fridge and a comfortable bed. Recommend getting the 1 bdrm if you can to get a higher floor and bigger terrace. Surpassed expectations overall. We will definitely be back.

The staff & ownership of Casa Joseph clearly put a lot of thought, energy, and care into this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here - the food was absolutely delicious (and generally reasonably priced), especially the breakfast. I would say the overall vibe is relaxation, so not too many amenities outside of a nice wading pool, yoga, spa services. They had live music every night. Front desk staff can help you arrange activities with outside vendors. Rooms were really comfortable with great balconies. This place is pretty chic, so we felt a bit of place in our dirty Phillies baseball caps & gym shorts, but it was still lovely!

Access to the entire facility including rooftop for star gazing! The hamburgers! Alberto's hospitality and kindness to help with luggage and rides without even asking! Room service with private pool! Power went out and we're quick to accommodate getting electricity back on.

I don't regret it, the place is incredible. I thought long before booking because of the negative comments. I want to clarify something, yes you are right that it is very far from everything but if you are looking for peace and relaxation you will not regret it, it is the perfect place.Second, they say that you use a dirt road and that is also correct. Maybe it is a 10-minute road, but it is not a problem if you drive carefully, you will not have any problems getting there. The staff's attention is phenomenal, the food is excellent and the cost is reasonable. Another point that the comments point out is that there is no cell phone signal and it is also correct.They have internet there and I'm not lying, some days it was very complicated to have communication from my room, but another day I spent it in the pool and in that area I never had a problem getting a signal.I repeat, if you want to rest and get away from the noise, it is a place with an incredible view and excellent for disconnecting from the world. I will not hesitate to return. One last thing, Mr. Alberto is a wonderful person.

It was very quiet & relaxing. The view is amazing, the beach is about a 5 min walk. They have a larger pool & jacuzzi. The food was great! I really enjoyed my stay there.

Beautiful property! We loved the room, the staff, the quiet, the view of the ocean from our terrace, and the swimming pool in the lobby was nice to cool off in during the midday heat. The staff was so helpful and kind. They allowed us to park our car right outside the entrance and even connected us with a local scooter rental which made it easier to get around the small roads. The room was beautiful, quiet, spacious, and comfortable with the a/c at nights. Hotel is on a dirt road set back from all the action, but still close by. Cute baby chickens running around and liked hearing the rooster in the morning. Felt like a nice reset for us, coming from nyc. Thank you for a great experience!

The hotel is new so it’s in excellent condition, the rooms are finished to a very high spec and very tastefully done. The hotel has a very luxurious feel to it. Definitely a hotel for having a chill time. I thought the pool location was odd to begin with but actually ended up using it a bit. Only slight annoyance was inability to get food or drinks after 17:00.

We loved staying at Punta Nayaa! The hotel is stunning with amazing views over the pacific and the jungle. The hotel has a beautiful infinity pool and is very stylish in general. The people woeking there are super professional, friendly and helpful! The food and drinks offered at the hotel‘s restaurant are as well a huge plus!

Beautiful new hotel, very close to la Punta, excellent service. The road around the property can be improved. We rented the roof top, it has an excellent pool and view. Bonus points for the Amazing smell in the hotel.

This was one of the best experiences I've had staying somewhere. Ulysses and the entire staff are so accommodating, helpful, and friendly. My partner and I didn't want to leave this little slice of paradise. We loved spending time at the rooftop bar and pool, as well as eating meals at El Casa Del Surf downstairs. The room and facilities were always really clean and extremely comfortable - it was not hard to relax here. There is an in-ground cold plunge and on occasion free yoga classes as well which was a real treat. We will definitely be back. Ulysses also helped us get a surf lesson booked and was able to support us with all of our questions and needs.

Quite simply the best place we have stayed at. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the beds super comfy. We originally booked for one night and then extended a further two (we would have stayed for longer but it was fully booked - not surprisingly). The top floor of the building has a big open bar and rooftop pool space looking out over the sea which was our favourite spot. Laura and Ulises were the perfect hosts; helped us sort a bike rental and just great company. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough and will be staying here again as soon as I can.

Laura and Ulises (and Chula, their dog) were amazing hosts, super accommodating and were very helpful when we had travel difficulties from Oaxaca. They have great contacts for experiences in the area, we recommend surfing! The hotel was beautiful, very clean and we loved the ‘guest house’ vibe and laid back nature. There are also beach chairs and umbrellas available for use which was really helpful in the heat. The location was great, near lots of restaurants and bars and just a short taxi ride to swimmable beaches. The pool and view of the beach and sunsets made for a perfect stay.

Loved the pool and bar area! Nice shaded communal areas for lounging too. The staff were lovely and attentive. The cafe - casa del surfer, on site had amazing food. The hosts provide a guide to local restaurants/cafes too which was super helpful. Did a surf lesson with mapache surf adventures as recommended by casa badu and would highly recommend this too.

The Staff was Very Friendly and the property was very clean and accommodating. Hotel lets you use beach chairs, umbrellas, and has a gym. Enjoyed the roof top pool and bar area with a view. The AC in the room made the stay enjoyable! Safe location, and Also safe town.

This property is beautifully designed, it incorporates the natural beauty of the land Into the architecture. Because it is located uphill from the Main Street, it is nice that carpe diem offers its own small restraunt and bar. The food and drinks were excellent. The pools and communal lounge areas very relaxing. The staff were all kind and personable and it made for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend Carpe Diem.

Flawless. The place is gorgeous, completely exceeded expectations. Felt like a haven, so quiet with lush greenery and nice swimming pools, cats, nice bar and good food. The rooms were spotless, comfortable beds and quality hammock on the balcony. And great AC Stunning place to say, I loved the tree in the bathroom! We would be back in a heartbeat

I run a motorcycle tour company and they were very helpful with meeting our van to move bags and passengers up to the hotel. very easy to work with.

The property was beautiful, unique, and the attention to detail was nice. Our large suite was clean and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the coffee maker, small refrigerator and internet service which seems rare in these parts. The king bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The food is made to order and really good. The owner and manager both speak English which provided for some interesting conversations and was helpful coordinating other parts of our vacation.

I have to say I don't usually review things but we stayed for 5 nights and it was the best experience we've had on vacation. Fernando greets you to showing you everything and then provides a whole list of tourist options to do and contacts. They make sure your stay is fun and many things to do. There is a roof top pool that was awesome for us to cool down during the extreme heat wave we had so it was good for almost every day from 12-3pm. It's very relaxing there with soft music and we didn't have many ppl around so it was private pool for us near the end of our trip Louis took over which is Fernando's son and he was a great person as well and helped us out. Overall 10/10 and no complaints we would come back in the near future and stay here again. Thank-you for making it a great experience for me and my wife away from our kids back home. Cheers!

Best place to stay in Puerto Escondido! Super clean, modern, spacious villa. Daily housekeeping service that went above and beyond. The rooftop pool is lovely and super clean. The best hot shower we experienced in the area. A short walk from the beach and they supply beach chairs and an umbrella. The best part is the owner is so friendly and accommodating and goes above and beyond to provide a great experience. Great value for the area as well. A true home away from home and a real gem. I would go back in a heartbeat.

My wife and I have been very excited to go there since we booked it; the reality is way more than we expected. We loved the place, the room, the terrace, the pool, the closeness to the see, the neighbourhood area and the service. The manager of the place was super friendly and always available. The rooms were cleaned every day. Definitely a place where we would come back. Thank you again!

This property was nice and quiet, and the staff were friendly. I would like to mention that the room views are not the best in comparison to other hotels with beach views in the area. Another thing to mention is that the hotel does not offer a bar by the pool to order drinks. It would have been nice to have that option, but other than that everything was great.

Very clean and extremely well maintained property. Fernando is the most welcoming host with an extremely welcoming demeanour. I would highly recommend this hotel. Lovely pool area and lounging area.

Overall 6.5/10. Location to town, views, private beach access 10/10. Air conditioning, shower, toilet 9/10. Staff friendliness and professionalism 7.5/10. Noise 7/10. Food menu 6/10, chef and food preparation 9/10. Internet connection 4/10. Decoration and art 4/10 Outdoor spaces, pool 3/10. Stay was good overall. Loved the views and the peace away from town, but also so close. The biggest thing that bugged me was the internet was terrible. The other thing that felt discordant was the decor. The hotel suffers from an identity crisis with respect to its colors and decorations. There's a difference between being colorful, and using every single color that you can find. The latter leads to creating a chaotic visual experience, which is counter to the goals of the hotel. There are so many cultural referents with contemporary Mexican sculptures, geometric sculptures, Buddha statues, Mexican folk art-- it's too busy thematically. Less is more. It feels like a sculpture graveyard. Another thing I mention as a landscape designer, from an aesthetic and practical perspective. Their pool has a major design flaw. The pool is covered in small square waterline tiles, unfortunately the pool also has curved edges, which means that these tiles are popping off everywhere. Honestly, I'd recommend they redo the entire pool lining because the repairs look bad. This is the centerpiece of the main terrace so it could be costly.

We have been to this property several times in the last few years and we absolutely love the staff, especially the front desk. The cleaners, the waiters are all outstanding giving you the best service possible. The rooms are so well appointed and very clean and they look after you very well with fresh water each day and clean towels. The views from the edge of the property over the ocean with the islands and rocks is absolutely breathtaking and astounding and it is the reason we come back. Unfortunately, this year the pool in a 1 year's time frame is completely dilapidated with half of the tiles and glass beads on the floor broken and scattered around the base of the pool. It is starting to rust out in many locations and looks completely terrible as well as being dangerous that you can cut your feet on the broken glass circular tiles. This has to be fixed because it's just not relaxing as you were tiptoeing around, making sure you don't step on a sliced broken piece of glass tile to cut your foot open or safe at this time and it needs to be emptied and completely redone and preferably not with tiles if this can happen in one year's time because it was in perfect condition last October. We wouldn't book this property again if the pool is in this condition, but we want to return here so we will call back next year and see if it has been repaired before we book this amazing property.

Villa Aikia Zipolite offers very nice suites, a sprawling facility with pool, outdoor terraces, stunning views, yoga area, private beach, full service restaurant/bar and extremely professional, friendly and attentive staff! This place runs like a well oiled machine, offers room service and daily housekeeping. Being located directly on the ocean, it’s understandable that some features such as the pool tiles need to be redone, as the salt in the air is hard on the tiles and surfaces in general, so yes the place may need a bit of a facelift here and there, but the hosts of the place more than make up for some needed TLC to the property. Hot water in Zipolite is not something to rely on in general, and the internet connection was hit or miss. We stayed in suite 2, and loved it. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful stay! We will be back! Pablo was the best!

Rooms are amazing - modern, clean, spacious and stylish. We got a room with private balcony that had a hammock and 2 chairs. The view to the ocean was great too - we could actually see the ocean from our bed! But it seems like not all the rooms get the same view. They have a private beach but very rocky so not really good for tanning or getting in the water. Pool was great too - although not too big. Some of the pool area furniture is a bit random - some plastic chairs, some plastic tables in random colors/styles/sizes. If they straighten that out and achieve a more cohesive look like the rooms, it would be great. Other than that, the service was great, food was pretty good too, and pretty quiet! I stayed for 2 days, and wasn’t ready to leave.

I've stayed at Villa Aikia a couple times over the last few months and every time I check-in it takes me about a half hour to get used to how spectacular the view is. It's just...a lot. There's a little semi-private beach below, a giant outcropping of rock guarded by a flock of birds just slightly offshore, cobalt blue waves lapping the beach, and just so much more beauty than you can reasonably expect at once. You might need to take a break afterward. It's the sort of image you put on a postcard -- the sort of thing that makes you wonder what good things you did in a past life to end up here. Setting the view aside, though, this place would be excellent even if that view were instead a blank concrete wall. There are a couple lovely semi-shaded pools, a wonderful little hotel bar, a yoga studio, and your room also has hot water in its shower (which is, if you're not familiar with the area, not common). There's only one downside that I can think of: it's a little bit of an uphill hike from town. It's nothing strenuous or far -- just a five or ten minute walk from the main street -- but it's definitely not right on the main beach like many of the other hotels and hostels. That being said: that little bit of distance gives you a level of privacy and serenity that you won't find in the more crowded areas. That's a trade-off that's definitely worth it in my book.

Absolutely georgous place the architecture and the views are breathtaking. You can watch the sunrise over the sea from your lavish room on your super comfy bed in your lush cotton robe. You can watch and hear the waves rolling into the shore from the pristine swimming pool and lounge in the sun or shade, listening to music and reading a book. The staff go above and beyond in every way. We want to thank Vanessa, Paula, Ludo and everyone else for the caring attention they gave us day and night. They had our coffee ready in the morning, we're interesting conversationalists and brought us mojitos and pina-colladas by the pool. They checked in often to be sure that anything we wanted, we had. The rooms are spacious, luxe and immaculate all with views of the prescious bay below. Come and stay here, there's no chance you will regret it.

The view is striking when you walk in. It is a small hotel which made it easy to visit with other guests. It is a very relaxing place in a quiet area. Could offer better storage for clothes and toiletries, and digital safes would be better. A few more lights on the paths around the pool would be helpful in the evening when walking between rooms. There was noise from the air conditioning or fan in the room above us that was noticeable every night. It is too bad that it is so difficult to get to the beach without paying the hotel below. The view from the pool was wonderful. And employees were very helpful. The restaurant was nice to have, although they didn't provide both menus (one has healthier options) until almost the end of our stay. Meals and drinks could be a little more consistent in preparation, some were quite good. On the whole we enjoyed this hotel and would go back.

The property was beautiful. Tricky to get to the beach, highly recommend getting a day pass to enjoy the beach club at the hotel directly in front. We had a bit of a misunderstanding with our room, we booked a sea view with balcony, but given a ground floor room with a terrace right by the pool. That was considered a balcony room, so no concessions on that. There are some beautiful rooms, but not much privacy in the room by the pool. The fruit plate for breakfast was lovely, but other meals / drinks a hit or miss depending on the chef or bartender. We very much enjoyed our stay, but If there is anything Casa Ceiba could work on is consistency in meal quality, drinks, and service.

This hotel reminded us of a large home we rented. As a group of friends/couples we rented 4 of the 9 rooms. We really enjoyed this as no one else had a room rented so it felt like our own private home with the staff to take care of us and a nice pool. I’m not sure if we would feel the same if all the rooms were booked. In that case the pool might feel small. With that said the way the hotel is designed has a feel of privacy. This hotel would not be good for someone with mobility issues.

My husband and I travel throughout the Caribbean and Mexico often and have never experienced a boutique hotel stay like the one we just had at Casa Ceiba! The hospitality is next level. You feel as though you are in a beautifully manicured home of a close friend!!! With 9 rooms and space to sit and relax en masse, we had the good fortune of meeting couples with similar travel styles from Canada and the US. If you are tired of the all-inclusive hustle and bustle, then Casa Ceiba is for you! The food is amazing and you never feel like you have over indulged. The pool with views of the ocean is an excellent gathering spot with room for everyone. Lots of beautiful sunrises and sunsets and you are 10 minutes to the town La Crucecita. Shout outs to the exceptional staff including Vanessa, Ludo, Rosie, Vegas, Alejandro, Santiago and the kitchen and cleaning staff!! We will be back to stay at this wonderful home away from home. Gracias!!!

We had a wonderful stay—the staff was attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is perfect. The only downside was an uncomfortable experience involving the owner. At one point, he began yelling at and berating the staff in front of guests, which was not only unprofessional but also completely unnecessary, given how great the staff was. If there was an issue, it should have been addressed privately, not in a way that humiliated the employees and made guests feel uneasy. Additionally, the owner and his family occupied all (12 ish) daybeds by the pool, despite being only six people. This left paying guests with no option but to sit in regular chairs away from the pool area. It would be much more considerate if they were mindful of how they use shared spaces, allowing all guests to enjoy the amenities they’ve paid for. Overall, it’s a fantastic hotel with an excellent team, but management should be more professional and respectful to both their staff and guests.

Beautifully designed hotel just one block away from the beach at Zicatela. The interior design of the rooms is flawless, the AC works perfectly, the pool is very quiet, it felt like an oasis in Puerto Escondido even though it’s right at the center of all the action. Staff was fantastic, they allowed for a very late checkout, which was perfect for us because we had a late flight out. This gave us an opportunity to dive for the second day straight in the Pacific Ocean, which is not always an obvious thing to do in Mexico because of the currents elsewhere. The reception will send you their local tips via WhatsApp; do not miss getting an ice cream at Passion, dinner at Chicama and breakfast at Malagua, knowing that you have picked the best hotel in the area. Good job!

Incredible design. Beautiful brutalist architecture. stunning rooftop views, pools, details throughout. In the center of Punta Zicatela. Food, drinks, amenities all felt luxurious. The staff, Lorenza, Patrick and Manuel went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I lost my phone at one point in town and Manuel jumped in to help immediately. Warm bunch of people, will definitely come back here again soon. The space is even more impressive than the photos ✨

Punta Magica was the perfection I was looking for in a beach getaway - secluded bungalow with private pool, nestled away from the main tourist strip - definition of luxury, comfort, and tranquility. The large outdoor space with the giant palms, pool, and outdoor living room made this place truly magical and one of a kind. Inside, the bedroom was very spacious with a very comfortable king sized bed. The kitchenette was a nice added bonus - I was able to cook and enjoyed being able to make my own latte in the mornings with the expresso machine. Loved the outdoor shower! All the added amenities contributed to a very relaxing vacation. The location was walkable to the main road (if you want to jump on a collectivo truck/taxi to get around town, or a stroll away from the beach). Property manager Alejandro was an amazing and hospitable host and made sure our needs were met during our stay. Thank you!

A beautiful, private, quiet, clean villa, just 10 minutes walk from the beach & shops. The espresso machine & supplied coffee was a very welcome touch! We loved the huge bed, the outdoor shower under the palms, cooling off in the plunge pool, enjoying morning coffee on the comfy outdoor seating, the regular cleans & pool maintenance, beach towels being supplied, the outdoor space to do some morning yoga, the tranquility of the location...we would 100% return! Alex, the host, was so incredibly helpful, offering guidance on restaurants, tours, scooter rental, etc. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you Alex!

Hotel Casa Sol / Villa Maquilis a perfect spot for couples or friends looking to relax. The rooms are more like little houses, and some even have their own pool, which a nice bonus. Breakfast is included, and it’s such a treat! The staff is super friendly and welcomes you every morning to a gorgeous terrace with an amazing view of the ocean. The food is fresh and delicious, making it a great way to start the day. The room we stayed in was really clean, the bed was super comfy, and the shower was spacious and refreshing. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially with the heat—it made everything so much more comfortable. If you’re looking for a chill, beautiful place to stay in Zipolite, Casa Sol is definitely worth it. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway!

This place is amazing, almost paradise… The location is fantastic on top of a lush hill overlooking the beach and the sea… very close to centre and beach of Zipolite and some nice restaurants. It even has a small (almost) private beach! The main café where you have breakfast is really nice and welcoming with seaview. The apartment we were going to stay needed some works so they upgraded us for two bedrooms with amazing views and spatious. The restaurant Q was also exceptional. And the owners and staff were very nice.

You are sure to be well taken care of at Suuel. My partner and I have been very fortunate to stay here during their first week of soft opening and every moment has been fantastic! We have had three weeks in Oaxaca and this has been our favorite and most comfortable stay. We wish we could move in! The rooms are spacious, with indoor and outdoor space. Extremely comfortable, definitely the best hotel beds we’ve ever slept on and great AC. The rooms are quiet and block out the sound of a sometimes noisy area, although usually that is pretty brief in the early evenings with night time movement. The design details are thoughtful and inspiring. The included breakfast is Michelin star quality, which will sure to leave you full through the afternoon. Incredible! Restaurant staff is playful and kind, making it for an enjoyable morning. Most of all, the hospitality and care from all staff members has been unmatched. We had a couple of strange requests throughout our stay that the team did everything they could to support us with! A big thanks to front reception and Daniel. We enjoy this location because it is away from the main, noisy strip in Puerto, but a nice stroll to that area. (5-10 minutes) Steps from the beach, as well! Since the hotel is soft opening right now, I know they are continuing to add amenities and streamline, but they are in a fantastic spot already. You will love your stay at Suuel, I don't doubt it!

The two nights there felt like a cocoon out of this world. Daniel (the GM) and his staff are super attentive, and go the extra mile for you. All are super experience in the hospitality industry so it reflects on service, cocktails (ask for theo to make a maracuja mezcalita) and food. (Tip: the setas tosta is to die for) Then rooms are super nice, big and quiet. Mattresses and pillows are EXTRA confortable. To note, there is a public pool area, which is very nice and relaxed. We had the suite at the top with a pool, which was even more amazing as you had trees directly and could see birds and animals in them. (+ Sunrise view)

the hotel is just beautiful. you walk in and fall in love immediately. the design of the building and the furniture are supre authentic, simple and chic ate the same time. pacific station, the restaurant with outside tables will fix tou the best brunch from punta zicatela, steps away from tour beautiful rooms. I got lucky enough to get an upgrade in my room, ended up at the terrace suite, and what a treat that was. Comfortable bed, smooth sheets, a gorgeous shower with its own window. The room is super spacious, with windows souranding it entirely. A nice little balcony and the pool just outside, made me feel like I was in my own Villa. location is gold, just outside of busy zicatela, 15 min walk to the center.

We really loved our stay at Suuel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was so bright, clean and spacious, the design is sensational and the breakfast was perfect! The hotel is quite new and you can really see and feel it everywhere. The design and architecture is absolutely fantastic! The location is a bit off the beaten path of busy La Punta which we loved!

Rooms had a great vibe and bed was soft and cozy. Short walk to the beach to enjoy amazing sunsets. Breakfast was one of the highlight of our trip, just delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our dog was always welcomed and pampered.

The house was in a beautiful setting and quiet. The pool was wonderful but there are no steps. Taxi service is a little hard to get but if you walk a little down the road you can get on the bus which takes you to Centro. The pictures do not do the house justice. There is a separate casita also which is nice.

This place was amazing, the pictures do not do the house justice. The inside and outside were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances. The bedrooms are large and comfortable as well as the bathrooms. The pool and outside eating space were an absolute dream come true.

The house is, welcoming, big enough for 5 people and enjoyable overall. There is air-conditioning is all but one room, washing machine and the kitchen is well furnished.

El hotel está entre Salchi y Tahueca, dos pueblitos "uno al lado del otro", lo único que hay que aclarar es que es una zona de terracería, y aunque cercanos, llegar de uno al otro requiere usar caminos no pavimentados, pero justo esto hace que la experiencia sea ÚNICA, pues son playas menos exploradas. De Huatulco hacia el desvío al hotel son aprox 20min (esto sobre la carretera Huatulco-Puerto Escondido), de ahí hay un pequeño desvío a la izquierda que dice PLAYA TAHUECA, ahí comienza la terracería, (aprox otros 25min) y de ahí al hotel es camino no pavimentado y algo de curvas, por lo que hay que ir con calma pero sin problema. El HOTEL, en si, es el REGALO del viaje. Hermoso en todos lados, instagrameable al 100, el servicio de Carlos (el encargado) y de Brenda y Jaime, que son los administradores de ese y otros dos hoteles en el área, fue INCOMPARABLE. La experiencia en si de nuestros 5 días fue insuperable. La cabaña cuenta con cama King Size, cafetera, un frigobar, A/C, ventilador, una pequeña terraza con una hamaca y una pequeña alberca fabulosa; el baño con un jardín interno y la ducha sin techo te hace sentirte en la jungla. La comida de lujo y las atenciones de 10. La cereza del pastel, la alberca sin fin al fondo junto al acantilado donde está el bar. La VISTA UFFF! Si es época de ballenas, puedes verlas desde ahí. La propiedad es hermosa, tranquila y muy segura. La atención del personal muy buena, Chelito me atendió en todo momento, el chef y la Lic. El único inconveniente que tuve fue un poco al llegar, si es tu primer visita hay k tener en cuenta k pierdes completamente la señal telefónica he internet como 30 min antes y no volverás a tenerlo hasta recibir el Wifi del hotel, así k revisar bien la forma de llegar y tal ves hacer algunas anotaciones. El hotel lo conoce todos al rededor y preguntar es la opción k yo tome . 100%recomendable

I truly enjoyed my entire stay at A’more. If you are looking for a private, peaceful and custom boutique hotel this is your place. Romantic getaway, or a place to self reflect and have a place to getaway for the hustle this is your place. The chef has an exquisite menu and caters to profession. I loved the entire staff as they go beyond expectations. The rooms are detailed, clean and have a beautiful view of the ocean. I am looking forward for my next visit.

We enjoyed our stay at Nabani 2 because of the convenient, safe location. The apartments are modern and clean. The rooms are spacious and we made great use of the kitchen to prepare meals. The rooftop pool and gym are convenient, and never busy. Perfect for a quick dip after a day at the beach; and the gym has a good selection of equipment to stay in shape while on vacation. Special thanks to Alejandro, Cynthia and the Nabani team for their hard working keeping things running smoothly.

The room was being cleaned after 3pm so had to wait about 1 hour after official check-in time, so you need to let manager know when you will arive to make sure your room is ready. It can be a little loud at times, but not too bad.

I cannot tell you how beautiful this hotel is. The personal plunge pool is incredible, the bed is the comfiest, the design of the place is breathtaking. My favourite place I stayed in all of Mexico

This place is great. Super mininal. No tv, which is cool if you dont need one. Ultra modern, clean, outdoor plunge pool. Only like 4 units when i stayed. Great quiet spot in the deep end. ..only concern was there is no toilet door. So its ideal for 1 person, but if youre a couple, its pretty intimate. A bit expensive too.

Lunaya is such a beautiful and unique property. We loved our time there and how picturesque the property is. The location is very walkable to the shops and beach. Plus there was easy parking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Todo fue increíble, tienes un hotel enorme con buenas albercas casi para ti solo, es difícil que coincidan horarios con otros huéspedes. El único detalle es que debes contar con un vehículo para ir y venir del hotel. Pero si ya cuentas con uno, te la vas a pasar muy bien. (Si vas en motoneta, ve por el camino largo, está mejor el camino) Puedes comer en el hotel o llevar tu comida y prepararla en la cocineta que hay disponible 24/7

Excelente lugar de descanso y de actividades como ecopark. Rica comida oaxaqueña. Esmerada atención y limpieza. Buenos precios . Vale la pena que esté alejado del ruido de la ciudad y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. Excelente para acampar y realizar muchas actividades al aire libre. Ambiente familiar y seguro.

Nos encantó. Me gustaría que los huéspedes tuviéramos un horario más largo para poder usar la alberca de noche, pero eso es más capricho que necesidad. Pero en general, una experiencia maravillosa.

El establecimiento es bueno, pero la única forma de llegar es un camino de pura terracería sin iluminación, el taxi desde el aeropuerto te cobra $200 para llevarte. Y para ir al centro de puerto escondido o a las playas necesitas pedirle su teléfono a algún taxista ($200 a $300 cada viaje, ida más regreso) o esperar la “pasajera” (camioneta de redilas, te cobra $20 x persona) que tarda aprox. 30 min en pasar y el último sube a las 8:00pm. para regresar al hospedaje. La pasajera te deja un poco cerca del centro pero de ahí necesitas buscar transporte a las playas.
