Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Puerto Morelos

It was great. Better than expected. Had the swim out room. Will be back.

Resort was great, a little too large for my usual preference. Could use more bartenders at the pool bars as it took a while to get a drink unless you got out of the pool and went to one of the other bars near the pool. The concrete around the pools is super slick and seen several people fall and one that was injured pretty bad. Definitely wear shoes of some sorts around the pool area.

Moon Palace Sunrise was lovely. There are 3 Moon Palace hotels located next to one another. They are very safe, within a gated setting. We were in the Sun Rise. The Sunrise has the multiple pools that are usually shown in the advertisement pictures. The other two hotels have pools but not ones that look and feel as relaxing and beautiful as the Sunrise pool area. The staff were friendly, tips are already included so completely optional. The room and facilities are clean. All inclusive includes all drinks and food at restaurants, mini fridge in room, room service, mini golf, all arcade games and ping pong and air hockey-basically everything you need or want. They are very clear if there is an activity or situation where you have to pay. My only annoyance was the constant check in with me to see if I wanted an excision or to spend 90 mins at a sales pitch to get a day pass to the main Grand Moon Palace hotel that has the water park. I walked there and was not impressed and did not feel like I missed out by not taking them up on the day pass. The Sunrise pool has kiddy slides and fun water park kiddy stuff, the other hotel had a single slide for adults and bigger kids. I did not see the waterpark in Grand, but not sure I was missing out. The beach is beautiful but there was seaweed on the shore making swimming less appealing. They did a great job trying to clear it daily. Other than that, a Fantastic, relaxing vacation. Lots to do, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff!

We had an amazing experience during our stay at Moon palace. This resort has a lot to offer for adults and children of all ages. Big pools, pool side bars, food, kids pool, play room, full spa … list goes on and on. Staff was super friendly, welcoming and really taking care of all the guests. great food options - more than what you can eat buffet and bunch of fine cuisines. Can’t wait to go to one of palace group resorts around the would again!

This was my first Moon palace visit. I started with Sunrise then upgraded to Grand. They offer good packages for membership. U can also decline and receive vouchers for cheaper prices in future bookings. The sunrise had very big nice pools and lots of activities. There is a kids pool in the corner. Food service is available all around. There is some walking though from buildings to loby. They have excellent golf cart service at Grand between water park n lobby. Other golf carts are also available almost every 5 to 10 mins. The rooms are excellent. The grand room is very nice n all quartz with nicer expensive equipment. Booking dinner reservations at restaurants was a bit difficult. Almost every time i was on a waiting list. Food was excellent. So many choices. So many activites to do with kids. Water park n playroom is a hit with kids. We loved the hotel.

The staff were so attentive. Our room (preferred swim up) was superb, the view was epic, couldn’t ask for better! The good options were great and there were plenty of activities for the children. The slides for the children were great!

This was our third visit to the hotel and everything was just as good as with our previous visits. All the staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The preferred adults only pool is lovely, the staff are brilliant there, it is the same in the preferred lounge too. Also a big shout out to Carmen, in the lobby bar, who is the most fantastic staff member and a credit to the hotel. Everyone works so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them, no matter which position they hold. We first visited with family, which included young children and enjoyed the main pool, which is more lively and offers a variety of entertainment but visiting as a couple, we upgraded to preferred as we wanted the option of using the adults only pool, which we like as it's more laid back, but know we have the option to use the main pool should we wish to.

5 Stars – An Unforgettable Stay! From the moment we arrived, this resort exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely stunning—clean, vibrant, and perfectly maintained. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. Guadalupe, our housekeeper, went above and beyond every single day. Our room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and she even left little personal touches that made it feel like home. Her kindness and work ethic are unmatched. At the pool bar, Marco kept the energy high and the drinks flowing. He remembered our favorite cocktails, always greeted us with a smile, and made lounging by the pool an absolute blast. The man is a legend behind the bar! And Alberto at the World Café—wow. Every meal we had with him was top-tier service. He was attentive, personable, and made sure everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows.

Very well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating . Always smiling and happy to help. Every single one I was in contact with and said thank you to responded with a “my pleasure”. Food was excellent , taco bar was out of this world. Great pool and pool bar, beach bar and coffee shop. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable . We had a wonderful time !

Staff is wonderful. Definitely not a 5 star resort. Rooms are very clean but super outdated and rust on the hot tub. Plunge pool was dirty and not usable so that was. Waste. Food could definitely be better for being a five star. But we enjoyed the trip because the staff was great.

Property was great, food was good, couldnt catch a buzz drinks really watered down. Plunge pool isnt worth the money it was so freezing we couldnt even go in it.

This is one of our new favorite resorts! The drive from the airport only took 20 minutes and the resort is beautiful. All the staff were over the top friendly and helpful. The restaurants were decent and no wait times and the drinks were made well. The resort has 3 pools for kids, activities, or lounging with the swim-up bar, all next to each other with plenty of poolside chairs and cabanas. Highly recommend for families.

Dreams Riviera is an awesome resort. It’s smaller in size, which makes life easier when you come with kids. The rooms are spacious, and we stayed in one with a little pool. My kids loved it. The staff is amazing, Alejandra who leads activities was so sweet and full of energy and Alejandro at the swim up bar so sweet to my 5 year old son. He chatted with him and made him feel like he was his buddy. Overall, all staff was great. Food was also very high quality, we especially enjoyed the sea food and Mexican restaurants.

The staff were amazing, very attentive! And our room with the swim up pool was perfect for our 4 month old. Room was kept very clean and was very comfortable. We had mostly everything we needed at our disposal and it was the perfect first family holiday!

When the resort is busy - totally worth it to get a room with the private pool

Beautiful place, staff work so hard, food was great, pools wonderful. However the smoking on the property was not enjoyable at all very gross. And this was the first resort ive been to that didnt make the swim up bars adult only which made for some very not appropriate behavior in front of young children. Other downfall this resort is in the middle of no where and does not allow for uber to come pick you up so only option is a set cab ride price which was very expensive. I would recommend this place if you dont intend to leave it.

First of the food was amazing, the rooms were really nice. The pools with swim up bars were spectacular. However there are a few downsides. We arrived at the property early and though they allow you to enjoy the property offering at that time, our room was not ready at 3pm, we had to wait for 30 more mins. Secondly, i feel like the elevators are old and we got stuck in the elevator for a good 20mins in such hot weather, after someone came to fix it , there was no apology whatsoever from the admin.

Good resort doesn't feel crowded the room was very nice we had swim out with butlers they were awesome ( Carolina Oscar and Nassar) great people. Pools not crowded but if you want a few shots of liquor forget about it they will only give you tequila shots I got tired of weak frozen drinks. The nightly shows were good but good luck finding a seat. They are closing in August for 3 months for remodel I would really like to see it when it's done.

Exceptional service. Great food. The property is beautiful but looking a little worn and in need of renovation. Loved my stay. Second time there and the suite with the swim out pool in the Hideaway was fantastic.

The food is amazing. Drinks as well. Kid frinedly with alot of activites for them. The resprt is out dated but they were doing many repairs. The swim up pool rooms were really nice. But the water was cold.

Overall had a great experience and stayed at the swim up room. Some of the rooms could be updated but overall i had a lot of fun.

Restaurants were good! Swim up service was great! Good night club with hookahs!

Don't listen to the people complaining. I had a wonderful time. The buffest is really all you need the food there is amazing. I also ate at the Hunter's steakhouse which was amazing as well. The room are big and beautiful and there are many areas to just sit bk and relax all over the property. You feel safe on the resort and there is always entertain or something to eat everywhere you turn. My only complaint is I wish they had night entertain on the adult side of the resort and that the adult swim up bar closed later, other than that I would definitely stay here again.

I loved everything about this property I loved the customer service. Adolfo from the front desk in perferred club was absolutely outstanding and so kind to me and my boyfriend. The swim out was absolutely beautiful as well.

Swim out room was terrific even though the water in it was cold. Spacious and comfortable.

It was amazing! I had a swim out suite! Best time of my leve! Food, staff, everyone was very nice, polite, etc. so much food and drinks to choose from. I will definitely be back. We stayed in room 3800, ocean front master bedroom, and it was huge. It has its own plunge pool, 2 balconies and 4 sliding doors to outside. You get a butler with this room who can make dinner reservations at all restaurants. The beach is nice and the resident crocodile is fun. Security keeps everyone safe from him/her. Food is good with a couple of hits and misses. Service is excellent.

we were a family of 9 w/ 4 rooms for a high school grad trip. (we had all adults in our group) but chose this as other families that went had minors. We had preferred club. no bracelets. we arrived around 11 am and got rooms between 130-3 pm. rooms were well appointed and roomy. balcony was nice w a "tub". all glass bathroom- if that matters for privacy. Nice PC amenities. room was humid though even w/ ceiling fan. The beach was full of sargassum so we never went down. Biggest peeve was the only AO pool was PC and no swim up bar and NO shade in the pool.. Service was semi lacking while in the pool- even w/ tips. the mexican restaurant service and food was great! Asian was decent and we didnt love the italian. Buffet always had plenty of choices. the shrimp tacos at the bluewater grill were amazing, as well as the nachos. the same nachos at barefoot grill were not good at all.. but the teens said the burgers were amazing. Desires was fun and really did get popping at night. the lobby bar is open air and that is where the "shows" are. they were decent shows.. just not enough room really. the PC lounge was nice and had more top shelf options. all in all we feel it was a decent choice and would try other dreams

Enjoyed the swim out pool and the room. Beach was ok, not great. Service was awesome. Shoutout to Sommelier Ramirez and Freda. Had dinner in Wine Room with them and it was great!

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely accommodating. The restaurants were nice. I would have liked for my swim out poolt to be cleaner. I also would have liked there to be a better control of the animals that visit the resort.

We stayed in the tropical view swim out patio and the room was just absolutely amazing. Very roomy, lots of drawers and space. There were themed parties and dinners. You will not be bored here. This is by far one of the best resorts we have stayed at!

My partner and I loved this property. The swim up room is always a plus for me. The party pool was a great time and good music! For an all-inclusive, the staff was very responsive, and we didn't have to wait super long for room service. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! Ps bring floaty's if you get a swim up room; it was the perfect touch!

Celebrated my birthday at Breathless with a 5 day 4 night stay. Booked a xhale swimup room , the VIP services were great, our concierge America was very helpful , she always made sure to ask us how our stay was going and helped us with anything we needed. The staff was really the highlight at this resort everyone was so kind and helpful. Hugo and Luis at the VIP bar, Manuel at the pool service all provided excellent service. What needs improvment is the music playlists, you would hear the same music you heard at the pool at the nightclub, by day 2 you knew what song was next lol. Other then that I had a great stay!

If you want to slow down, this is the place for you. It is a bit removed from the little town of Puerto Morelos, but they do have a daily bike tour that takes you into town and of course it's an easy cab ride. The property is lovely and we had the room with a private pool / hot tub that we loved. All the pools were well heated since it wasn't super hot in January. The staff was all so awesome and accommodating. The activities staff was so great and hard working. We took advantage of the bike tour, water aerobics and a craft project - all included. Kiki and Gracia are wonderful. They also had games and books, etc. There were other activities too but some just don't have enough people at times. I think only 4 showed up for the Pickleball tournament. We also really enjoyed paining pottery for a small added charge. The food is only OK but the little restaurants are nice and it was just so convenient. We didn't want to take any risks with getting sick so we just ate at the resort. We probably enjoyed Mexican night and Italian night the most. The beach is a bit rocky and not as swimmable as you'd like but if you walk down toward the other resorts, it gets calmer and it's technically a public beach so you can swim wherever you want. You just probably can't take chairs at other places. We also did a short presentation at the hotel and got a free trip to the Dolphin experience within walking distance. Our kids absolutely loved that.

Grand Residences was amazing! We went with our kids ages 8-12 and were thoroughly happy with so many areas. First, the private transport was impeccable and perfectly executed with friendly staff, cold cloths and water as well as timely pick ups. Check in was seamless and we were greeted with beverages for all. Our room exceeded expectations and photos! The private pool and hot tub as well as large outdoor entertaining area was awesome! Room service was timely and offered a wide variety of foods. The restaurants were delicious - the kids particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Customer service was above and beyond typical resorts! Highly recommend!

This resort is very clean and food quality is very good. But the construction is not complete yet. Meaning it only has two restaurants and one beach restaurant. There are only two pools, one for lane swim and the larger one which has two sections for adults and families. There is basically no entertainment in this resort. After 5 pm there isn't even music playing around the pool. At 5 they pack up the speakers and put them away so it feels very dead. If you like somewhere clean and quiet this place is perfect, but be ready to get bored. The extend of entertainment is playing bingo by the pool in the afternoons which meant for one hour they stopped the music and read the numbers at load one by one even if only 5 people were participating.

First time in Puerto Morelos. Grand Residences is phenomenal if you want a quieter vacation with a great room, fantastic service, above average food, decent variety of cuisine, awesome pool and beach area, and a smattering of on site activities. We loved it. David the concierge was very helpful. Did a couple excursions like snorkeling and bike ride into town that were both great. Good place for families. A couple tips; if you order room service allow for at least an hour and order double as the portions are rather small. Also, if you do not like the theme night buffet at dinner then ask for a menu to order what you want.

It is a great resort for families and couples. Staff was great. Food was amazing and everything is close. We had a swim up room and loved it.

We loved that the resort was was smaller/less crowded, and the swim-up room was awesome!. Staff was very helpful and kind. Beds were a little hard on the back and the food was just okay.

This was a good all inclusive hotel right on the beach with lovely pools and landscaping. I was upgraded to a swim up room which was lovely. The hotel had a Mexican fiesta on the beach one night with dancers and musicians and I did the morning yoga. The restaurants are menu service for lunch and dinner. The only downside is the hotel is not near a town centre and has a very poor road to get to it. Overall I enjoyed my stay here!

We came back to this resort, but brought our children as the facility is family friendly, safe & fun. We went in December, so it’s likely that we visited during “down time” for PM services. Several pools were out of service, hottub wasn’t heating & there was an aroma of sewage outside our room. The room was nice, but our swim up area was small & water was milky looking, so we remained out of it. The 2 ladies that do the kids activities were beyond stellar!! I cannot recall their names, I believe Tonya and the other started with an “L” were caliber and attentive to our kids. Hands down the best part of our trip! All of our servers when we ate were also 5 star! They were attentive, got to know our kids & knew what we liked. Rose in Joe Merchants was a blessing! She was wonderfully sweet and remembered my girls names and what they wanted before they ordered. My girls loved to see her as much as they did to get a snack! I was slightly disappointed in the selection in Joe Merchant. When we visited a few months prior they had a large variety - including local fresh foods. This go round was processed foods and canned drinks only. The biggest concern I had with the resort, was o requested how to get a taxi to take us to a mall Or shopping as we had a mid size group with kids. We were pointed to the direction of the Excursion Desk next to the resort reservations desk. We booked an “excursion” assuming it was safe & jeapordized our trip, burning an entire day and never taken to shop.

We just completed a 9 day stay at the property. I feel like we got to know the resort well before we left. Whether you would enjoy your stay greatly depends on what kind of traveler you are. Are you there for drinking or adventure? Do you want quiet or a swim up room by the bar? My husband and I were in room 415 and my adult sons were pin 403. Originally they put us in the bottom floor 403 that looks right into the License to Chill bar. That was better suited for the 20 something’s that didn’t mind hearing music from 9-5, so we switched rooms. The downstairs patio opened to the courtyard, so they could bring a drink from the bar to their room. We preferred the upper balcony of 415 & corner window that looked over the ocean. It was ideal for watching the sunrise.Our beach was meticulously cleaned of plastic and seagrass every morning by hardworking groundskeepers. It is much easier to get an alcohol drink than water. The bartenders are friendly and good at their craft. We were always able to find a chair on the beach. There is an excursion desk that’s easy to use if you’d like a day out. I tried to get information before our trip to plan ahead, but had a difficult time. I even got misinformation on Chichén Itzá, so I booked a private tour. Our trip to Isla Mujeres booked through the resort was fun. The resort is isolated. There isn’t much area to explore or places to run or walk around. There is a stuffy, indoor gym with no view. I’d recommend only 4-5 days to keep it fresh.

Over all this is the best resort my family and I have stayed at. We just got back from our 2nd visit and most likely will not be the last stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. What we loved about our stay: All of the pool amenities are great for families and especially ones with small children like us. There was a great water park for smaller kids, as well as some big water slides for us adults and bigger kids! We also really enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river. It was never an issue finding pool chairs to lounge on either. There is water fountains to fill your water bottles at each hotel block, as well as water stations at each bar including assortments of fruit infused water. Every buffet meal and restaurant dinner was incredible. Did not have one bad meal and I am a picky eater. We loved the steak house, Japanese restaurant, and the burger bar at the shopping centre was firing up seriously delicious cheese burgers. ***seriously book the steak house and Japanese restaurant!!**** The beach was clean and always easy to find a few lounge chairs to hang out on with the family. That being said there is a couple things that could be improved upon, but not a deal breaker for going back again personally. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, husband and I woke up with a sore back each morning. Hotel room bathroom could have much cleaner, I understand it is humid there but black mould should not be growing on the shower walls. *Cleaning lady was great though*

Lots of places to eat. Some of the food wasn't as good as it could have been. Most of it was very good. Had to walk pretty far to get lunch at the buffet when we were at the pool. Lots of choices at the buffet. Lots of pool areas, not crowded. Loved the lazy river. The slides were fun for the kids.

Overall, we really loved staying here. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the wildlife was so cool to see. The pools are gorgeous and fun and location was great too. The food was above average for an all inclusive and we really enjoyed getting to try all the restaurants. On to the negatives. We arrived at 11 and were told the room wasn’t ready yet(totally understandable, as check in is at 3). We were told the room would be ready by 3, and we came back at exactly 3. The front desk attendant must have stared at his computer for about 15 minutes without telling us what the issue was. We were told to come back in 10 minutes which we did. Once again the front desk worker just started at their computer screen without saying a word. Finally she said that we needed to come back again. I informed her that this was the 3rd time we had tried to check in. She then said she had a room available with a jacuzzi tub. We got to the room, and not only did it not have a jacuzzi tub, it was not a poolside room, as I had booked. When we called the front desk, they acted like we should have known the room wasn’t what we had paid for. We finally got the room we had booked, but this was wasn’t the best way to start our stay. The next thing was the lack of availability at the restaurants. They claim to close at 10pm. We got to one of them at 9pm and were told they had no availability because they were closed. When we complained, magically they had a table for us.

This was my first all-inclusive stay with my kids (9 and 11). This is a GREAT place for families, as it caters to all ages. Overall, I’d go back there again with families (perfect place for a family reunion), but not for a romantic or luxurious getaway, or for a party atmosphere. Here’s my take… Pros: The pools were a huge draw - perfect for lounging, playing, drinking, etc. The waterslides did not disappoint at all! There were always at least a few open beach chairs anywhere we went, though the premium locations tended to get snapped up quickly. Service was always very friendly. The commitment to waste reduction was a surprising perk - it was so lovely to have almost zero single-use kitchenware, which meant very little trash and a clean conscience. The beach is beautiful. It’s a large resort, but surprisingly easy to get from place to place. Fun vibe, but not crazy party place. Quiet when it needs to be. Felt VERY safe. Cons: the food was unimpressive for the most part. It did the trick, but nothing more. There were a few meals that were truly delicious, like the Japanese hibachi and the steakhouse, but otherwise, it was Costco-grade. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, like more functioning outlets, but they served their purpose. Finally, if I went back, I’d stop by 7-11 first to load up on specialty snacks, sunscreen, pool toys, etc., because even though they sell all this stuff at the resort, it requires a second mortgage to pay for it.

We have come several times to this resort and it still is a fun resort. The entertainment isn't as good as it used to be but the buffet/food choices are very good and diversified. The rooms are relatively quiet and beds comfortable. Still a trick to find a spot at beach or pool; everyone gets up early to reserve spots and come back later, just have to play the game. Unfortunately they are now charging $ to rent spots by pool. Too windy to do any water sports/jet skis this week but usually able to get beach spot if you don't wait too long in the am. Could have better service for drinks at beach; fewer servers coming to you.

I really liked the big rooms they had! We absolutely loved our main floor swim out! We had Erbie who visited us daily to get our drink orders! The room was very clean, the maids did a good job at cleaning and giving us new towels. I didn’t like how they touched our personal belongings such as our toothbrushes and put them in different places on the bathroom counter. They did stock us well on water but lacked on the snacks they only did that once. We loved the catamaran and snorkeling on Maroma Beach! Drinks and food were included and that was one of the best places we ate!!! There was a lack of communication on instructions for things and where we needed to go or what to do both on Maroma Beach we got there and had no idea what to do. Same for when we left at the end of the week we didn’t know we needed a piece of paper for the transportation but we did eventually figure it out ourselves. But we loved the activities and loved the swim out it was so much fun! Loved the size of the bathroom too! The bartender at Sling Victor was so amazing and friendly we saw him every night! They kept the beach clean! We enjoyed so many meals at the Palms we loved that we can sit out and enjoy the great view of the beach while we ate! Room walls seemed to be thin and we could here a lot, they also didn’t seem to have a limit for quiet time. That did get frustrating when it was really late at night. Overall loved the way the rooms were set up!

We just returned from a relaxing weeklongstay at Generations resort Riviera Maya. My two kids and I stayed in a swim up suite, kept neat and clean by Elizabeth. We loved waking up to the swaying palm trees, and dipping into the pool with a perfect temperature. The staff were very welcoming. Our Butlers José Luis and Imelda went above and beyond to make us feel at home. In the morning, everyone who served us at the Market buffet impressed us with their attentive service. They would even remember a drink preference the following day. We also loved seeing Israel at Palms, who took every opportunity to make us feel comfortable. The chef at Palms also did a wonderful job. Another chef and team that really stood out was Marco, Julio and Bradio who made and served the chef’s table at the wine bar. This was such an amazing meal that we can’t stop thinking about with each course carefully crafted. Irene and Nancy at the spa, treated my brother and I to incredibly relaxing massages and nail treatments. It was the staff that made this trip extra memorable. We look forward to going back one day!

We have been traveling to Mexico for vacation for 25 years and we have stayed at many hotels. We have had some good and some bad experiences but it was an excellent experience at Generations. The 2 different times that we went we had 2 of the most amazing butlers. Diego and Luiz were the best butlers we have ever had. They went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. They were definitely on top of their game. As for the rest of Generations, it is beautiful, clean, amazing staff and amazing food. We love that it is simple and easy to get around. Also, the pool is amazing and huge, we love the bottom floor because of the swim out, but upstairs are great as well and with a beautiful view. We will definitely be booking at Generations again and again.

The service at Generations was wonderful. I would like to thank my butlers Luna, Diego, and Ervin. They were very responsive, and wonderful to talk to. If one wasn’t available, they told me who would take care of my request. The rooms were well maintained, and I appreciate the evening turn down service. The rooms all have shared pools per wing which was a great way to relax. The resort was very kid friendly with plenty for them the enjoy. It is really not for a quiet adult relaxation due to the number of families, but the private (ish) pool does compensate, and access to the El Dorado adults only pools. You also have access to the El Dorado restaurants next door, but that is adult only. I would do this resort again with my grandkids, nieces and nephews.

My son and I came for our annual trip to Mexico and we had a wonderful time! Our room was clean and comfortable, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the food was amazing as usual. The sargassum was always there but there were crews cleaning it up as best they could. Unfortunately Mother Nature is winning this year but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the rest of the resort. We had a mother son spa day with relaxing massages and pedicures. We both left super relaxed. The restaurants were also great and I appreciate that they now have a dinner buffet most nights. Our favourite is still Wine Kitchen but Jade and Haab were also excellent as usual. Lunch at Palms is always a great experience. I love the Baha fish tacos and you can’t beat being next to the ocean. Chef Market delivered solid breakfasts and lunches and was super convenient for us. Full disclosure- I’m an Exotic member so I received some extra benefits as per our contract. Our butlers Eddie and Luna were incredible! They were so responsive and thoughtful. If we had even the slightest concern they took care of it right away. We had Eddie last year too and were happy to see him again. I love that I see the same great staff every visit.

The Moon Palace resort is massive, spanning over 120 acres. It consists of three sections—Sunrise, Nizuc, and The Grand. If you book a stay at The Grand, you have access to the facilities across all three resorts. The dining experience is exceptional across all restaurants. We tried Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Pan-Asian, and the international buffet. While the Indian cuisine was somewhat disappointing, the rest were outstanding. A highlight was Momo Teppanyaki, where the chef prepares the meal right in front of you, making for a fantastic experience. The resort features multiple pools, all of which are excellent. We stayed in a swim-up suite, which was absolutely perfect—truly the best choice we could have made. Though the resort is expensive, it is completely worth it. The water park is decent but more suited for younger kids. Unfortunately, two slides were out of order, which was disappointing. Lastly, all the bars serve high-quality alcohol, adding to the overall luxurious experience.

One of the best all-inclusive resorts in Riviera Maya, specially if you are someone interested in food quality, variety and convenient restaurant schedules. The hotel phone app is a huge advantage since it greatly simplifies the process of restaurant reservations. I have been to many all-inclusive resorts in the Riviera and The Grand has the best restaurants. It also has superb liquor quality, with very fine brands. The hotel also serves Coca Cola, instead of Pepsi, which is also great. Room-wise no big difference with other similar-quality resorts besides the minibar, which actually works pretty well ! Great check-in process and concierge service. However, you will be asked to have a breakfast where they'll introduce you to their multi-year membership, but you can always opt out after managing a little bit of pressure from the concierge. On the negative side, not enough beach chairs / lounges at the beach, usually they are all occupied early in the morning. At the pools it is easier to find free spots. However the pools are not so nice and they all close very early (7 pm!). Another negative is that pool and beach bars close at 6 pm, very convenient for the hotel but not for the guests. There is one specific pool bar open until 7 pm, but the staff starts closing it around 6:30 pm as well, so no big difference. Pool and beach service is very poor, no different than any other high-end all-inclusive resorts. You can find the best food and staff service at Jade, Casa Mía, JC

I stayed at the The Grand Moon Palace Feb 2025. First time visiting. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Family friendly resort. Pros, amazing food options, Circus restaurant was really fun! Our family could always find lots of areas to sit which was a huge plus. We could go to a different pool area everyday, huge resort. Loved the food options in the pool areas, servers brought the food right to you. Cons, so many plastic water bottles. I would have preferred more options to use refillable water bottles. Would go back again and highly recommend. Call out to Rebekah in Public Service and the medical staff. Rebekah helped us with an issue and the medical staff were amazing to have access to 24/7. Even called to check on us.

The hotel is exceptional. The restaurant options are excellent and the number and variety of activities for adults & children are fabulous. There are a number of pools and ample availability of sun-loungers and pool concierge. I would highly recommend this property!

The lay out is perfect. If one pool is busy you can walk around the coner to another one. This place is made to enjoy the pools.

I liked the rooms, dining options, pool options, fitness area. Swimout area from rooms I disliked the limited coffee availability, lengthy check in process, difficulty in getting dinner reservations

This all in inclusive was so so fun! The restaurants were good, the pools were fun. I’d recommend getting up around 7/8 to save a spot by the pool, the swim up bars are great and the workers and bartenders were great! Only one of the ladies checking us in had an attitude but besides that rough check in, the whole stay was amazing!

The restaurants were great! Food and service was wonderful! We had 2 kids with us - the rooms were great! Shows/white party were sooo fun! There was many different pools with swim up bars and 2 food trucks outside for lunch - burgers were amazing! The only con would be the buffet for dinner - the food was ok.

I booked the Diamond club suite with the swimout for my Birthday, The room was beyound my expectations. Both my butlers Enrique amd Ivan was the best hands down. Anything i needed they were there, they were able to decorate my room they were very much appreciated for going out their way for doing thay for me. I did go on a solol trip, this resort made me feel very safe, I did see security around the property. This is the best place to book if you looking to take your family on vacation as their is so much on the propert for the children to do. There is a huge water park for the kidos as well as a bowling alley, some sort of tramapline bounce area and lazer tag. Majority of the food i ate was decent 7/10. Must try the Zen resturant 10/10 I was able to book my birthday dinner there i would definitely recommend, Also I booked a Swedish massage they were all great and so kind 10/10 plus they did throw me in a discount because my bday and another 20 percent because i booked with the diamond. All in all i give the Royalton place a 10/10. It was definitely hard for me to leave and for them take my wristband, I will be returning to this property.

Just returned from a week stay and my whole family had an amazing time at this property and would definitely recommend for large groups with all different age groups. There was something for everyone and they made sure there was some kind of event or entertainment each day to keep it fun. I definitely need to shout out Victor that does the pool volleyball and activities daily. He made our afternoon pool time amazing and so funny. He even took time to go down to the beach with our family to help us take photos of our group of 19. Then the bar staff by the pool bar was great. Especially, Georgio he was so kind and really made sure we all enjoyed our drinks all day! PLEASE remember to tip these guys. It’s hot and they are really working hard. I was alittle nervous about the food seeing there has been some negative reviews prior to us going. I wouldn’t say any of the buffet food was amazing, but good enough. I think you can’t expect much of a large buffet trying to appeal to the masses but it felt clean and no one got sick, even some of our group took a chance eating the sushi and raw fish and they were fine. We were able to get reservations at the steakhouse, Brazilian and Hibachi restaurant. The food was fine, but the staff at all 3 made it worth it. Everyone was so nice and great at accommodating our huge group. Hugo at Zen Hibachi restaurant so amazing, made our last night memorable. All in all great time.

My stay was awesome!! The location is extremely clean and you get the real Mexican feel of the neighborhood. I reserved the studio- kitchenette which was very spacious and cooled off quickly with the air conditioner. The TV has a lot of channels and the room gets a great amount of natural sunlight. The host and her husband are very nice and knowledgeable about the area, transportation and the overall experience of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. A light breakfast is provided which included fresh fruit, toast, juice, coffee and yogurt. The fruit was different each day but was equally delicious. Across the street is a little lady that grills the best chicken and ribs everyday for sale, it is cheap but delicious. Each morning my girlfriend and I would use the bikes to ride around the town and even to the beach. This was one of the best parts of this trip. I recommend this location because the price is cheap and right between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. This gives you the chance to enjoy both beaches and alternate evening adventures. Overall the town of Puerto Morelos is a great place to visit because you have the ability to enjoy local life while feeling safe and not breaking the bank. I plan to return and request the same room. Nothing bad to say at all about Buenos Dias! Also, the host will get a cab to you quickly and with fair prices.

We had the pleasure of staying at the off site accommodations of Buenos Dias B&B for 3 weeks in Feb/Mar 2018. Our unit had a full kitchen and one bedroom with a very comfortable bed and lovely linens. Breakfast was always a good time for meeting guests from around the world while enjoying Eva's wonderful coffee. Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, cream cheese and bread were always available. Bernardo and Eva were most helpful providing details and information for any excursions,sites or trips around the area. We felt more like friends than clients by the end of our vacation. There are many restaurants and fruit stands and grocery stores (with ATM's) nearby. We did not rent a car as the taxis are inexpensive ($30 pesos for the 3 km trip to the beach area) and bus service is safe and available for wherever you want to go.

We really enjoyed our stay here. You can experience an authentic stay here in a neighbourhood, and practice your Spanish with the hosts. We stayed in a basic room and then a room with kitchenette and both rooms were really nice and a good size. The hosts are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast to start the day. Really enjoyed the use of the bikes and snorkeling equipment. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to stay in the town. It is about a 15 minute bike to the beach.

The B&B is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. And super clean! The owner is really nice, knows a lot of things to do, where to eat,... and gives you a warm welcome. She and her husband even dropped me at the bus station the day I left, so I didn't need to walk the distance with my backpack. :-) There are collectivo's around the corner, that take you for only 5 pesos to the beach. I definitely recommend this place!

Buenas Dias is a hidden gem. Throw out your Canadian or American ideas of what a neighbourhood or b&b should look like, and you will enjoy everything this “mom & pop” operation has to offer. The neighbourhood is safe, the people friendly, and the food nearby excellent. Allow yourself to experience a more genuine Mexico with these excellent Spanish/English speaking hosts who go out of their way to make you welcome. Very comfortable, clean accommodations, great included breakfast.

The staff was amazing, really made you feel at home. Mar and Edwin, our pool always had a warm welcome, smile and a cold drink. Baily and Fabian our pool concierges were fantastic and really made our stay exceptional. Rosewater was our go to for most meals, David and our other morning servers and staff were the best way to start your day. Luis the night manager and his staff were absolutely incredible!! And Luis in the preferred lounge rounded out our fantastic experience!
