The staff were all incredibly friendly and eager to make sure we had the best time. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, and we were upgraded to a room with a plunge pool! Great pool area with plenty of sun beds. Lovely buffet breakfast with extensive options.

The room was amazing, super comy bed, bfast and dinner had a large selection of international foods to choose from, everything was super fresh and tasty , the pool also beautiful and also our room had a plunge pool which was very nice and chic, service was truly 5 star, all staff were super friendly and proffesional! Location also is very good a long beach by the coast vouple of minuits away, a little bit far from old town but easy reachable with the bus, taxi or 30min walk, Will be back for sure! Highly recommend this hotel , one of the best hotels we ever stayed!

Nice new hotel in a good location. It had beautiful pools with access to the sea. Also the breakfast was amazing with a lot of options and variety. Also we got a free upgrade of the room with the plunge pool, that was very nice and they were very flexible with the checkout which was much appreciated.

A very nice modern resort with extremely friendly staff overall. A fantastic breakfast spread and nice touches with free water bottle refills everyday, some Raki and dried fruit to welcome you. We had a Double room with Plunge pool however it was more of a lie down warm jacuzzi than a real plunge pool. Also privacy between each room when using the outdoor bubble bath was non existent as they are all connected to each other. The bathroom is also not 5 star with a tiny glass partition in the shower that barely stops any water from running all over the bathroom floor. And storage space is quite limited both in the bathroom and bedroom. Liana at the concierge desk was very friendly and helpful and George gave an excellent hot stone massage. Rethymno town is 15 mins by car. The hotel has a valet service. If came back to Crete would come again, but hope they fix the walk-in shower issue!

We adored our stay in the Nautiliux Hotel. On arrival we were given an upgrade to our room which was massively appreciated. The service from the moment you arrive is impeccable. The hotel rooms are lovely and the pools and beach area are stunning. We spent 10 days at the end of the season and switched from days out - to days on the beach and around the pool. We were spoilt for places to relax and enjoy the weather. The attention to detail is impressive whilst you enjoy the outside amenities. Little safe boxes to lock up for when you head to the sea. A private beach. 2 pools. Towels. A call button for service. A plethora of seats to chose from. Cabanas, bean bags, loungers. All the staff were so attentive. remembering your choice of drink at breakfast. Posting post cards for you. And the indoor pool is also lush. I also enjoyed an all over body massage in the spa, which was also gorgeous.

Beautiful adults only hotel, excellent staff and the food was amazing. Near Rethymnon so excellent location. Swim-up rooms if prefered.

The sea front executive suites are amazing, the sun set for your own private pool is something exceptional, just go for it... The staff is friendly always ready to help and chat with you...just perfect...we felt very welcome since the first step, just want to thak all te stuff and a kind regard to Mike at the beach bar service, thaks a lot dude was a pleasure meeting you.

Excellent location right on the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful spa facilities. Outstanding "Kritamo" restaurant. Clean and comfortable area, good variety of food, plenty of shops and tavernas in the vicinity. Both airports and most famous historical places are easily accessible by car. The executive suit with a private pool and a sea view is just great!

This is the perfect hotel! Pros - the swim up room, absolutely stunning! - room itself is clean, spacious and modern! - comfy pillows! - the hotel itself it’s beautiful, so clean and modern interior. - food is excellent! - drink prices and snack bar are of good quality and good price. - plenty of sun loungers, and good quality beach towels. - not too far from other restaurants and bars. Cons - wish all inclusive could be provided. This was my favourite Greek stay, so far! I have recommended this to family and friends and wish to return one day! Have the swim up room, it’s 100% worth the extra price.

Luxury indeed! We booked an Executive Suite Sea Front with Private Pool and it was everything we hoped it would be! Room extremely clean and comfortable, the pool just next to some grass and then the beach. Perfect! The staff was also fantastic. Very helpful from the start to finish, every each one of them make you feel welcome and special by being helpful without bothering you. They were accommodating and eager, always appreciated in a 5 star hotel. You can feel the hotel is new, everything works and isn't worn out. The main pool seem nce and fun enough, even if we didn't use it. The main restaurant (included in the Half-Pension rate) is pretty good. No fine gourmet but frankly, I prefer a diverse and fresh buffet for breakfast and dinner than fine dining. There are 2 other à la carte restaurant that also organize special nights, but we didn't try them. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles (you'll need swimming shoes to go in comfortably) and extends very far. So even if the hotel doesn't organize anything special, you can easily find activities to do a bit further. Be aware that there can be a lot of wind and currents : swimming was forbidden for 3 days for us. All in all a fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel, would recommend without hesitation!

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Atlantis having had a terrific week. The hotel is just across the road from the hotels own beach area with a food and drink service, sun beds and umbrellas. The pool area with its two pools plus kid’s pool is great with loads of available sun beds (in September) and they are really comfortable as they all had mattresses. Our room (401) on the ground floor was great with a good shower and comfortable beds, the only issue being there is a cleaning/maintenance storage room on the outside wall which staff were accessing before 8:00 am which if you’re a light sleeper like could be disturbing. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The spa area was very good. The only issue we had which I didn’t see in any other reviews was that although the food (breakfast and dinner) was good in terms of the quality and choice nearly all of the cooked dishes were lukewarm. Which detracted from the dining experience. It’s about a half hour walk into the old town so not too bad and there are plenty of places to stop for a drink along the seafront and there are taxis for the trip back if needed. We did have a lovely time and would definitely consider staying here again.

We stayed at Atlantis Beach Hotel for 5 days and overall had a wonderful experience there. We stayed in a family room which was two rooms separated by a sliding door. The second bed was a sturdier pull out bed, but it was quite hard and a little uncomfortable, but OK for kids. We had a great balcony that overlooked part of the pool and their well managed grounds. We had positive experiences with all of the staff and everyone was very friendly, especially Irina at the pool bar. The menu for the restaurant was super and had excellent options for children. The beach is across the street and there are beds and umbrellas that you can rent for the day. One pleasant surprise for us was the availability of water sports right next to the hotel. You can go tubing, parasailing, jet skiing for an extra cost. The road that the hotel was located on was full of restaurants, supermarkets and shops. It was about a 1 km walk to old Rethymnon. The pool was awesome! However it closed at 6 pm ... I never asked why they closed so early. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quality, reliable hotel.

Great hotel for kids. They have inflatables, buckets, balls etc at the pool for them to use, and also some at the private beach. There is also a playground that is shaded by a net so it isn't too hot. Quite a lot of options at breakfast. The a la carte menu at the pool bar is fairly reasonably priced. Majority of staff are friendly. Really close to the beach, and you get one set of towels for the pool/beach and another set for showering. 20-30 minutes walk to Old town, but plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. Supermarket next door which is cheaper than the ones on the walk to Old town. Had a complimentary 15 minute massage voucher on arrival (although I think that was solely to drum up business in October) and a bottle of wine in the room. There is a gated car park at the back of the hotel, although suspect this may be overcrowded in summer months.

Just back from our stay at The Atlantis Beach and it was an absolute pleasure. Everything about it was brilliant. Location, pool and facilities all excellent. Every day started with the best buffet breakfasts! We did use the lovely pool, but with the beach over the road with plenty of beds on the private stretch of beach, along with the fantastic staff there to get you drinks, food and help with anything, we used the beach most days. The walk to the harbour/old town was between 20 & 30 minutes but there are shops/bars/restaurants all along the route. What we did notice on our walk into the old town each night was that the nearer you got to it, the more cramped the beaches were with beds. From The Atlantis, there was plenty of space, so we really did think we stayed in the best location. A taxi to and from the old town was only 5 euros if we were feeling lazy! What is exceptional about this hotel is its staff. They work so hard but are always smiling - charming - every single one of them. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Me and my family stayed for 10 nights half board. First of all i wanted to say, fair play and well done to all the staff. From restaurants, pool, front desk, beach bars. They are so welcoming, very nice and helpful. The place is always spotless and its in the beach front which is very convenient to all the guest. Sunbeds were plentiful both pool and beach area anytime of the day. Unlike other places that you need to be there early to get a spot. The beach area in Rethymno is a long stretch. Its very busy but not packed, as ive noticed when we are there. The hotel itself is close to the old town and its always a nice walk in the evening after your meal. We had an overall 5star experience in this hotel and highly recommend it. We will surely come back again if staying in Rethymno. We had an unforgettable time.

The facility is new and well maintained. The stuff is always available and helpful, all departments. The private pool that was part of our suite.

The service and standards at this hotel are exceptional. We were created by Eleni, the Guest Relations Manager upon our arrival and offered arrival drinks. They also arranged a surprise birthday cake for my daughter's birthday, which was such a lovely touch. The decor is modern and smart and kept so clean and tidy throughout. We were an all inclusive stay. The food was delicious, again to a very high standard. We stayed in one of the swim up suites which was a beautiful room and maintained well. The staff were so attentive, nothing was an issue, always so friendly and inviting whenever we encountered them. Great location, 1min walk to the beach and 10/15min walk into the old town. A truly gorgeous holiday stay, we will be back!!

We booked a superior room with a pool view, which was clean and serviced daily. The hotel lives up to its 4-star rating. Great staff, professional service, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We only had breakfast at the hotel, as we wanted to explore local cuisine during the day, but the breakfast was excellent: fresh, varied, and well-organized (we especially loved the vegetables with our breakfast). The location just a short walk to the beach. Thanks to calm seas, we spent most of our time there rather than at the pool. Yet, we noticed that many sunbeds by the pool were "reserved" early in the morning and occupied all day, which could be an issue for those planning to use the pool later on. So if you plan to use the pool, either by choice or due to rough sea conditions, it's a good idea to secure a sunbed early in the morning. The hotel also organizes evening entertainment, including live music, children’s shows, and fire performances. All in all, a wonderful experience and great value. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at the Artemis Palace for seven nights and it was a fantastic stay. Upon arrival we were welcomed with drinks and the check in process was fairly straightforward and easy. We were then taken up to our rooms which were really clean and quite modern. We stayed in a twin double room and we couldn’t fault anything with it. There was a safe in the wardrobe plenty of space to keep your clothes and luggage and working air con. The bathroom was really spacious and clean. The rooms were cleaned every day and if you didn’t want them cleaning every day you could simply tap this little screen inside of your room for the do not disturb or please make up so the cleaners would know whether they were able to enter the room. Towels were changed everyday also. The location of the hotel cannot be faulted, it was a two minute walk to the beach. It was around the corner from many supermarkets and restaurants and bars ! The pool area is really nice , quite a large pool . The only issue is with people reserving sun beds when they weren’t around the pool but the staff were keeping on top of this and made sure that sun beds were available. We went bed and breakfast as we wanted to try local cuisine and eat out as we are foodies and Rethymnon is perfect for this ! But we did have lunch in the hotel and the food was 10/10, The breakfast has so much variety ! I would 100% go back ! Overall fantastic hotel with fantastic staff!

What an absolute wonderful stay at the Theartemis Palace - Such lovely staff through out the building - especially Marianna/Sofia who was working the pool side most days - Nothing was ever a problem and she was incredibly friendly. Beautiful comfortable rooms - Lovely view of the Pool which I was so kindly given on arrival. Being a single traveller it was so nice to accommodated for. Lovely quiet pool - perfect for relaxing by and soaking those rays. Also Perfect location - 15mins from the old town which is a lovely walk with all kinds of restaurants along the way and 3min walk to the beach. I will definitely be back at some point to this gorgeous hotel.

Peaceful and quite resort set off from the main road and a short walk to the beach. The complex has it's own pool including a small children's pool, the sun loungers have all been neatly fitted in around the edge of the pool. The rooms are spacious and quiet, inside ours we had a separate living area with two sofa beds and a bedroom with a double bed. Both areas had air conditioning units (which is included), flat screen tvs and patio doors with shutters leading on a patio area with a table and a dryer. Plenty of storage in the bedroom with hangers in the wardrobe and a free safe. The kitchen area was fully equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, there was a halogen hob, microwave oven and fridge with a freezer compartment. They also provided washing up liquid and a brush. Inside the bathroom there was a bathtub with shower and unbelievably a washing machine. All the staff were lovely and friendly, the hotel owner waited up for us after arriving late and we were greeted to a lovely decorated bed for our anniversary. The room is cleaned 6 days and kept nice and tidy. We had a view of the pool from our patio. The hotel is 25 min walk from the main town or there are buses that go along the main road at the front. A peaceful and relaxing location to enjoy a nice break in the sun. There are a few tavernas near by and 1 plus 1 you can get 7% off with a card from reception.

Had a 5 night stay at Summer Dream. We were two families - and each with 1 Room Deluxe Apartment. The apartment was surprisngly large and comfortable and the AC worked perfectly.Facilities seemed quite new and well maintained. I will note that I was a little taken aback by how the immediate area OUTSIDE the hotel looked, but, it did not really take area the stay. Hotel located close to beach and a (40-45 minute) walking distance to the Old City. The pool area is large and there is not need to scramble for sunchairs. Also, there is a childrens' pool that came in very handy as we were travelling with a 2 year old.There is a nice supermarket next door. The staff was perhaps the most professional and friendly staff that I have encountered and that was a truly nice addition to the stay. Special thanks goes to Nitsa - who is always 'on things' to make certain that things are going well. The staff in the breakfast are (esp. Katerina - I think...) was also very pleasant and could not do enough for us. The food selection was good-and I appreciated their sensitivity to the needs of gluten-free individuals. One thing that could be improved is that I got the sense that sometimes some foodstuffs not consumed were put out again (desserts, rolls). Also, the music in bar area is nice-as is the woman working there - but it's on all day until midnight-a bit too much. Particulalry as not many guests seemed to partake of the bar area - and the music is clearly heard in rooms - until very late.

We would recommend summer dream hotel very highly, the rooms were great and they were cleaned daily, the staff were all very nice the pool was clean and the pool bar was close by for drinks and snacks, the beach was just 2 minutes away and had beds for hire, the restaurants nearby served good food we ate out every night for two weeks and only had one bad meal which was down at the old port, all in all a very laid back relaxing hotel, family friendly and we would certainly go back again

Everything.... Perfect destination for our family holiday. Staff were extremely helpful, accommodation was far beyond what we expected - really modern, comfortable and user-friendly, the pool is just the right temperature, you are always able to get sunbeds - anytime of the day, and then there's the most fantastic pool bar, run by Yiannis, who knows how to make fantastic cocktails and how to take care of his customers. In many ways, Yiannis makes the holiday just that little bit more special... We will return...

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very modern. We had balcony with a pool view. Everything was sparkling clean. The pool area was nice to relax in and the restaurant had a very delicious food. The parking was easy to get to once lady from reception shown us a way. The breakfast had a lot to choose from.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. The location is quite remote but this didn’t bother us as we had a rental car to get around. We stayed in a room with a private pool but there was also a lot of options for swimming with a number of pools and a beach area to choose from. We tried a few of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We also ate in the tavernas in the local village a short drive away and loved the authentic atmosphere here. The staff were the standout here, all very happy, friendly and helpful.

Amazing Stay! We booked a family villa with a private pool, don’t regret it! Amazing hotel location and facilities are amazing, staff are very friendly and accomodating, excellent restaurants and restaurant staff are also very kind and helpful! Definitely recommend, next time we’re in Crete we’ll be back!

The restaurants and all inclusive package was impressive, particularly ‘The White’ restaurant. Every member of staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive and seemed very well trained. The Agreco farm experience was excellent and a must do! The swim up room was lovely and so relaxing. We didn’t want to leave!

We've had an amazing week in this hotel. Nothing to complain about! We enjoyed vacation so much! The food, staff, facilities, pools, and beach - everything was just perfect. We've managed to book all the restaurants during our stay (however, it was a bit tricky), and the food was just delicious. We had a shared pool - this is just perfect for vacation, as there's no hassle with going to the general pool and trying to catch a good spot. Would definitely consider coming back to this hotel in the future!

Amazing main pool, in October it was heated to very comfortable temperature. Hotel straight on the beach, lots of space on the beach and terrace above. Great service and very friendly staff. Really good food, best buffet restaurant ever. Also good options for vegetarians and vegan options. Al la carte also good especially wonderful Agreco farm for Greek food and Asia white for sushi. Other guests high class, respectful, quiet, making buffet dinners and spending time a the pool a pleasure even if full. The whole resort is very child friendly as well, great for families with kids. We had family room with sea view which was amazing to wake up to views of the sea and horizon. Free parking, very easy, plenty of space across the street from the hotel.

I recently returned from a holiday that truly exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish, everything was absolutely amazing. The pool area was a highlight – beautifully maintained, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun. Whether you wanted a peaceful swim or just to lounge by the water, it was the perfect spot. The staff were exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Their warm hospitality made a real difference and added a personal touch to the whole experience. And the food… absolutely incredible! Every meal was delicious, with a great variety and high-quality ingredients. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Overall, this holiday went above and beyond what I expected. I couldn’t recommend it more – already looking forward to coming back!

A very charming small hotel. The hotel was an old olive oil producing village that fell into ruin. Each of the rooms has been renovated from small workers cottages to a charming standard. It is such a lovely, quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. The pool is idyllic, the only criticism would be that I think it should be adults only. The ambience was somewhat spoilt when there was a couple with a baby who was crying by the pool and had the parents speak baby talk which ruined the quiet setting, the hotel is much better suited as an adults only due to its quiet nature. Food was excellent, breakfast choice is vast and evening meals were always excellent albeit on the pricier side, but we ate there every night. The hotel is a bit isolated away from the main tourist areas but that suited us down to the ground to be somewhere quiet. We would return.

Beautiful spot. The old village of Kapsaliana, with its olive press, has been converted into a hotel. Our room was in an old stone house with the bedroom up a narrow stairway and the living room, bathroom and an outside terrace downstairs. The rooms vary a lot, some with no terrace, so worth checking exactly what you will get and maybe paying a little more for an upgrade. The service and staff were wonderful, as was the restaurant which prepares an amazing buffet breakfast. We had dinner there both nights and the food was superb. Beautiful pool area and great views of the surrounding area. Very highly recommended.

An absolutely wonderful experience at the Kapsaliana Village. We stayed for 7 days and could have stayed longer. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant was fantastic for breakfast and dinner with great variety, quality and hospitality. We ended up having our best meals in Crete at the hotel thanks to their award winning chef. The property is nestled in a quiet, secluded hillside which is perfect if you want relaxation by the pool or walks through the neighboring olive orchards. I would recommend having a car if you wanted to do any excursions.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kapsaliana. Everything was fantastic, the room, the food, the beautiful view from the pool of olive groves stretching down to the sea. What's now a hotel used to be the olive mill and cottages attached to the nearby Arkadi monastery. The ancient buildings are beautiful and very atmospheric. The grounds are full of flowers and fruit trees.

Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und ruhig. Auch die historische Architektur ist wunderschön. Der Servics entspricht leider nicht dem hohen Niveau bzw. Preis der Anlage. Keine kostenlose Erfrischungsgetränke, Obstschale oder ähnliches auf dem Zimmer. Kaffe und Rühreier beim Frühstück oft kalt bzw, abgestanden. Snacks und Getränke an der Poolbar sehr teuer. Abendessen im Restaurant sehr gut, aber auch sehr teuer.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt im Royal Senses Resort auf Kreta Wir haben 5 wundervolle Tage (4 Nächte) im The Royal Senses Resort auf Kreta verbracht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel liegt etwa eine Stunde vom Flughafen Heraklion entfernt und bietet eine ruhige, entspannte Atmosphäre – ideal zum Abschalten. Obwohl der Check-in offiziell erst um 15 Uhr ist, durften wir bereits gegen 12 Uhr auf unser Zimmer – ein Grand Deluxe Room mit privatem Pool. Wir wurden mit dem Golfcart hingebracht, was sehr komfortabel war. Das Zimmer war großzügig, modern und sehr sauber. Besonders der private Pool und die große Terrasse mit Meerblick haben uns begeistert – vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang einfach traumhaft! Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht. Das Frühstück war solide, wenn auch jeden Tag recht ähnlich. Das Abendessen hingegen war exzellent: große Auswahl, täglich neue Gerichte und sehr gute Qualität – von Ribeye-Steak über gegrillten Lachs bis zu Garnelen und Spare Ribs war alles dabei. Über die hoteleigene App konnten wir unkompliziert Restaurantreservierungen und Bestellungen tätigen – sehr praktisch! Ein kleiner Nachteil war, dass Cocktails nicht aufs Zimmer bestellt werden konnten. Laut Hotel liegt das an der Qualitätssicherung während des Transports. Das ist verständlich, aber etwas umständlich, wenn man abends einfach entspannen möchte. Die Hotelanlage ist weitläufig und teilweise etwas verwinkelt – fast wie ein kleines Labyrinth. Wir hatten einen fantastischen Urlaub im Royal Sense. Da das Hotel recht außerhalb gelegen ist, waren wir die meiste Zeit nur am Pool. Die Anlage, das Essen, das Personal - alles ist auf sehr hohem Niveau und war für uns perfekt. Daher hatten wir fast keine Lust durch die Gegend zu fahren (auch weil ich im 7. Monat schwanger bin) und die beliebten und überfüllten Strände im Juli zu besuchen. Zu empfehlen ist definitiv Rethymnon (ca. 15-20 min fahrt, Taxi 25€), hier gibts tolle Restaurants und auch schöne Bars. Im Nachbardorf Panormos (5 min mit Taxi) gibt es sehr gute Tavernen (Kastro zb) die hochwertige Küche aus lokal angebauten Lebensmitteln anbieten. Wirklich ein Traum. Wir hatten nur Frühstück, was vollkommen ausgereicht hat, da wir mittags am Pool nur eine Kleinigkeit bestellt haben und abends dann in den Tavernen in der Umgebung essen waren. Es gibt die Möglichkeit für 40€ pro Person (ohne Getränke natürlich) im Hauptrestaurant zu essen (Buffet) aber das hat leider nicht bei weitem die erstklassige Qualität wie das Frühstücksbuffet. Wir hatten eine 120 € Rechnung und waren doch recht enttäuscht. Ansonsten gibt es noch mehrere a la Carte Restaurants, die sehr gutes Essen haben aber natürlich bei weitem nicht so günstig sind, wie die umliegenden Tavernen. Wir wollten unser Geld dann lieber bei den Einheimischen lassen und die Gastfreundlichkeit genießen :) Publikum ist ebenfalls sehr angenehm, viele junge Leute und sehr gepflegt. Wir kommen wieder!

Amaizing from top to bottom, great service and restaurants, great pool, alot of space in the pool, has a shuttle to the beach 2 mins drive,Great breakfast!!! We had a late flight and they have showers and fitting rooms and you can stay aslong as you want,wow,wow,wow!

Im adult only Poolbereich gab es 3 jacuzzi, 2 davon haben nicht funktioniert. Gym super Klein, schlecht ausgestattet. Allgemein waren viele Sachen im Hotel kaputt, man kann es nicht übersehen.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The private pool amazing.

The place is spotless, and it's a great location to the beach and a 40 min walk to the near town centre of Rhethmno. it was still quite hot in October and the staff was always very helpful. We got the room with the private pool and it was absolutely delightful to be there. More expensive but totally worth it.

Beautiful accommodations with beachfront access, multiple pools (including private room pool/patio and shared upper level pool overlooking sea). Very friendly, helpful staff and amazing breakfast each morning! Great location 10 min drive to Rethymno port, and located 1/2-way between Heraklion and Chania, so great central location to access those areas (and Plakias area in south) while visiting Crete.

The service was excellent and the team of staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. the hotel is spotless and daily cleaning service is excellent. The pools are great and the rooftop pool and sunbathing areas are fantastic. The breakfasts were great and a fantastic start to every day.

Fantastic setup of the general pool area. Room with private pool has really cool mixture of old stone walls and wooden stairs with modern open setup. Private tiny pool is a nice touch.

We stayed 2 nights in two different rooms. Ground floor was ideal- beautiful, comfortable, great private pool. One of the most beautiful and authentic hotels ever. Friendly and still professional staff. Around the corner from the old town. Tasty rich breakfast. Perfect stay for the lovely Rethymno

The unit was very well furnished, it had a private pool, a terrace and a bathtub. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and our overall stay was excellent.

The design of the property was amazing . The reception area with its brilliant water features and plunge pool gives a very calm and cool atmosphere. Very owners/ staff were delightful and helpful and helped source great restaurants and trips.

If food is not included in your rate I would recommend visiting other local hotels for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is nice but is very expensive relative to the local area.

As it was early April, the hotel was reasonably quiet. The whole area of the hotel and pool was very relaxing and super clean. Staff service in EVERY area of the hotel was first class: Front of house, Housekeeping, Dining, Pool and Bar areas, the young man who delivered drinks to the room and those who helped with luggage. It is obvious that careful attention is given to the recruitment and training of staff as, without exception, every member of staff was friendly and most attentive to whatever request we had.

Our stay at the Caramel was excellent and I recommend booking to anyone unsure. I've see criticism of the hotel's location, but anything you'd need is available within a couple of minute's walk. Caramel isn't in the main town of Rethymnon, and to get there you need to get a bus which takes around 10 minutes or enjoy the pleasant 90 minute walk. Rethymnon is where all the night life is with a great range of restaurants, bars, dock side eateries and everything you'd associate with that. Whilst Caramel is a distance from Rethymnon, it has small markets and a decent choice of restaurants and bars directly outside the door. I don't think location's a problem, unless you're very keen to be in the middle of all the action. The customer service at Caramel exceeded all of our expectations. Upon check in we were greeted with snacks, a local refreshment drink in a cocktail glass and cool towels. The staff make sure that you're treated to a very high standard at all times. Examples of this are too numerous to mention, but some highlights included, staff setting up new table outside for us at breakfast when the area was full, the daily provision of a different flavour of liquor in our room each night, fresh fruit and water provision at the beach and pool side... All in all, it's a brilliant place to stay. We loved it. Thank you!

We booked this hotel 8 days before travel, visiting for 14 nights in mid May 2018. It was the only hotel in the area that was 5 star with a 5 star review rating, and it certainly lived up to expectations. We cannot thank the staff enough for their attention to detail. We had a lovely room with large enclosed patio, complete with loungers, brolly and chairs, sea view and room was fully serviced twice a day. The restaurant was excellent, although we only ate their 4 times in the evening, breakfast was fantastic something for everyone. It was a 1 mile walk to the start of the main commercial area, with dozens of shops and restaurants, all food very good and reasonable. Rethymnon itself worth a visit and again excellent restaurants and shopping 5 miles away. One final thing, the hotel wifi is full strength and fast throughout the entire resort including beach and pool. We will definitely return, one of our most relaxing holidays in a long time.

The hotel is beautiful - it looks like it’s brand new, as it’s so clean and well maintained. we felt like it were in a dream. It never felt too crowded, the pool was spacious and clean. Lots of options at the buffet. Service was faultless, no request felt like too much. The kids group was great - my daughter enjoyed some of the activities and had the best time with the pool games every day at 4. From the hotel we drove down to the south coast in about 45 minutes and spent a splendid day visiting those beaches - a must do!

Service exceptional, from the fresh fruit and water served poolside, to the selection and quality of food available. The beach is one of the nicest around. Plenty of beds and umbrellas both poolside and on the beach.

Wonderful resort with big pool, well kept grounds and access to beach. We stayed in a “villa” style room which was near the beach and pool.

I cannot recommend this place enough, especially because of the exceptional training program included in the stay. The experienced and professional trainers made a huge difference—not only in terms of the workouts but also by personally helping me with some health issues I had. Their care and knowledge were truly above and beyond. Every day started beautifully with yoga on the beach, listening to the calming sound of the sea. During the day, we cooled off with aquagym sessions in the pool, which were both fun and refreshing. In the afternoon, we enjoyed outdoor Pilates and functional training, which were personalized to our needs and led by Vlad, an outstanding trainer. His knowledge, energy, and ability to make each workout feel like play made it such a joy. It was a unique and deeply enjoyable approach—something I haven’t experienced anywhere else. This hotel is definitely one of the few offering such a high-quality wellness service. It was more than just a holiday—it was a true retreat for my body and mind. Btw, it is a pity I did not know there are such options when I hesitated if to book this hotel in the beginning. Of course, the accommodation, food, and hotel facilities were all excellent as well, but the fact that I could really focus on my health during the stay was the absolute highlight for me.

Firstly, the staff and service are what truly shine in this hotel. Everyone, from servers, receptionist to cleaning staff was polite, greets you nicely and reaches out to help when needed. Secondly, the buildings and surroundings are well kept and look nice, with beautiful flowers and trees spread around the premises. The main pool area is great with very nice quality seats and cabanas. This, combined with other guests being frankly older, made for a much more calm and relaxing experience, in contrast to some other hotels where the noise and bustling sounds are more pronounced. Finally I would like to extend my gratitude to the management for arranging an upgrade for me and my family to a villa, so that we could more conveniently spend time together on this trip.

We stayed in one of the villas with a pool. It was amazing!. Great service, very attentive, room staff were fantastic and thorough. The villa was super relaxing, just a few steps to the beach or chill out in our own pool. We enjoyed it.

A beautiful hotel. Really welcoming and child friendly without being overwhelmed by children. Great kids club. Excellent food.Beautiful beach and pools with plenty of space to sit by them. Evening entertainment was good quality and not too touristy! Staff very friendly and helpful. Couple of minor niggles - sheets on our bed didn’t fit properly so scrumpled up overnight. This was a recurring problem suggesting they had the wrong size of sheet for the mattress. Really sharp corner in our family room by sofa - our daughter cut her foot on it.

A luxurious hotel with lovely views and surroundings. Clientele are predominantly Russian and prices within the Hotel are expensive. Staff are excellent and speak good English. Excellent aqua-fit tutor. Good kids club for younger children but not so good for teens. Very enjoyable stay but lack of English people in the Hotel was disappointing for younger family members. Fabulous pool and beach.

We loved our stay at Creta Palace, it was our honeymoon and the hotel so kindly upgraded us to a family suite on arrival which was beautiful. The facilities are great and perfect for our 2 year old, she loved the pool and beach. The staff were so kind and friendly - thank you so much for making it so special!
