My partner and I had a fantastic time at this location. Our villa was spacious, well designed and comfortable. The private pool was excellent though at times we wished it was heated. The main bedroom was large with lots of facilities including large ensuite bathroom and safe. The resort itself is enormous with a resort bus available to get to the key places. Local facilities such as restaurants were high quality but very expensive. For a short relaxing stay we chose really well and it is hard to fault the place.

Amazing stay at Vale do Lobo resort with our family. We stayed at villa 732. Highly recommended. The villa was perfect - 2 bed/2 baths plus private pool, patio and bbq. Perfect for our family. The complex was fantastic - supermarket, golf course, private beach with restaurants and communal pool. The villa was clean, bright, modern and had air con. The resort was spotless and well maintained. Staff were incredible. The resort was very quiet and perfect for us. I’ve seen some reviews complain about the noise from gardeners in the morning. The staff work tirelessly to maintain the golf course and resort and it looks incredible. Work is not done too early in the morning and I see no criticism. I’ve also seen reviews complain about the 5pm check-in - although later than we’d prefer, it is well advertised when booking and you are reminded again by email a few days before. We were able to drop bags and use the resort /restaurants/pool and they called us as soon as the villa was ready. We had a fantastic trip! We will be back!

Property at this resort is very large definitely need a car or Bicycle, lots of walking, This townhouse is far walk to beach (we drove) it had 3 floors 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on 3rd floor and first floor had pullout full couch and 1/2 bath sleeps 6 comfortably lots of space.Modern very clean house, pool was very clean, safe and quiet area, basic stock in the kitchen. Check-in is only after 5 pm Grocery store is nearby In order to access the gym, you need to pay €115 per person per week. Never have I had to pay at a resort for gym access…. Can not bring water or snacks to the pool area! You have to purchase them there no exceptions. You have to pay for beach chairs and umbrella at beach, house does not supply. They do have a shuttle service around the property you can call for. If you drive closer to the beach you will have to pay for parking. In my opinion, you’re really only renting out the property. The resort is separate. Anything you want to do at the property you have to pay for. Pool towels were supplied

The villa (1241) was just what we needed, the pool is more of a cooling down pool as opposed to a swimming pool (still great), and the location to all the facilities was brilliant. The BBQ area and Patio had fantastic views The staff on the whole were very friendly. The shuttle bus around the resort was great, The Golf courses are challenging but fair.

Casa da Sina is a truly exceptional place to stay. The property is unique in style and the grounds are extensive and beautiful. We loved the pool, the myriad places to explore and relax within the garden, and the incredibly well-equipped and designed kitchen. The owner Paulo gave warm communication and super helpful tips, and everyone who tended to the Casa was friendly, professional and very keen not to disturb our stay in any way. The stunning sunrises and sunsets were the icing on the cake! The location is fantastic - close enough to beaches, towns, shops - but secluded enough to allow you to feel totally away from any hustle and bustle. We will miss this slice of paradise and hope to return very soon!

La maison est équipée de tout le nécessaire et plus encore (niveau cuisine, ustensiles, électroménager,...). La piscine est très agréable, et les innombrables chemins sinueux du domaine emmenant chacun vers différents endroits aménagés en extérieur (ou sous un dôme pour le billard) sont magnifiques a parcourir. La communication avec l'hôte (très aimable) est on ne peut plus simple, les réponses aux éventuelles questions sont données dans des délais très courts. De très bonnes recommandations également pour ce qui est des restaurants. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

We have just returned from a week stay and had a wonderful time. The villa is an amazing and we feel very lucky to have stayed here for the week. The villa is stunning, well equipped, set in fantastic grounds and located in a very quiet location. Paulo was a fantastic host too - helping us with all our questions and suggesting great local restaurants and beaches too. An amazing villa, great hosts, and a week to remember!

Paolo (from the breakfast team) is incredibly warm and welcoming—you can really feel his passion for his job and his guests. He should be the benchmark for all employees. A small tip for future guests: please check if school holidays are taking place in the UK. Unfortunately, some guests brought their duty-free gin bottles to the pool, and during meals, there was often a noticeable lack of respect towards the staff. Of course, children can occasionally drop food, but after some meals, the floor looked like a battlefield. The British guests didn’t seem to care.

From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay perfect. The restaurant staff were exceptionally accommodating to vegan diets. Chef Pedro met with us to discuss our dietary requirements, ensured all the information reached the kitchen, and made sure we were well looked after and catered for during our stay. The food was by far the best vegan service we’ve experienced at a hotel. Anna, the chef, ensured everything was perfect, and Alex, the head waiter, made us feel very welcome. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Coffee and water were replenished daily. The room thermostat did not go lower than 18°C, the first night felt warm, but after discussing it with the staff, it seemed fine. The hotel offers extraordinary views of the countryside, making it a truly relaxing and picturesque setting. The pools were lovely and clean, with plenty of comfortable beds and towels provided. One pool was heated, making it very comfortable for the time of year. I also really enjoyed the yoga, which left me feeling truly relaxed afterwards. Every detail was considered, and the staff’s care made our stay truly special. We can’t wait to return!

This is a truly 5 star hotel, which to say it had only been open 1 day when we arrived, felt like it had been running for years so smoothly did everything run! The real difference here however is the staff who from checking in at reception made us feel welcome and at home. The accommodation is also superb (we stayed in a 1 bedroom residence with terrace and valley view)- spacious, clean and the housekeeping is perfect. Nice touch with a bottle of wine on arrival as well! Excellent breakfast, meals at the pool bar and also the restuarant and also probablyvthe best room service we have ever had at any hotel. So we are very satisfied and pleased with our stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of having a peaceful Algarve holiday- who needs a beach?

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff - nothing was too much for them and they were so lovely with our 4 year old. Heated pool was perfect - it meant we could even swim on the chillier rainy day! We had a room upgrade and were lucky to stay in the two bedroom valley view with a terrace. It was stunning and ticked every box of comfort and luxury. The complex isn't too big, so everything within easy walking distance. We also felt it was calm and peaceful etc. A car is needed if you want to venture out of the conplex for anything - nothing is in reasonable walking distance We also played golf - this was also very enjoyable.

Absolutely loved it - beautiful property, the staff are all super polite and friendly, the golf course is beautiful and the club house is very relaxed. A real mix of people staying here - noisy and buzzy family pool area with the option of the club house infinity overlooking the 9th hole, if you like quiet. Overall 5 stars

We had a self catering house with a small garden and plunge pool. The house was perfect for three kids and two adults. Spacious, stylish interior that was well appointed. The communal pool area and club house was excellent with very attentive staff. Gated security offers great peace of mind.

Our 2 bedroom townhouse was beautiful, traditional decor but very clean and comfortable. Parts of it had been newly renovated. Air con in living area and bedrooms. En-suites in both bedrooms and WC downstairs was a great addition. Stair gates installed so very family friendly. I requested an extra cot, cot sides and a high chair which were all in our villa when we arrived. Plunge pool was a great addition, but unfortunately it was not heated which limited its use. The main pool with bar and restaurant was great and within walking distance for all villas. The restaurant delivers to your villa and is very quick service and the food and cocktails were delicious. The kids club is great, our nearly 3 yr old went for 3 mornings and absolutely loved it, she was asking to go every day. Any staff we encountered at the resort were fantastic, in particular the bar/restaurant staff and the kids club staff. It is a quiet resort, we hired a car which gave us the freedom to travel to other areas and other parts of Quinta with ease. I would advise the hiring of a car if you wanted to get around to see other areas as anything outside of the resort is quite far away. We will return for sure!

The resort feels very private and homely. It’s quiet and safe for kids and the pool and restaurant facility are excellent. The staff are also very good, especially at the pool. The houses are very spacious. Maybe a little dated but still excellent.

Good for families. Lovely staff, friendly and warm athmosphere. Clean and safe. The shop was nice to have on site, but prices were high. No heating in house pool, but the joint pool was heated. Kids loved and wanted to come again!

Spacious, clean villa on a very well kept resort, 20 mins from airport. Villa has stair gates, pool gates and you can request cot, high chair etc. Really well set up for kids with an excellent kids club, heated communal pool with slides, trampoline and very nice restaurant for lunch (which you can also take away from). Car needed to get around.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön mit grossem Balkon und einem stilvollen Badezimmer. Die Lage ist sicher und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück war zwar immer das gleiche aber als Besonderheit konnte man sich den frischen Orangensaft selber pressen aus den wunderbar saftigen und geschmackvollen Orangen der Algarve.

We had a very nice villa with private pool. The villa had all the equipment a family with (young) children needs and also had the necessary safety features. The food is the restaurant was very good and they also had a special menu for babies, just brilliant!

We spent a week at Martinhal at the beginning of May in a 3 bed villa (upgraded from 3 bed town house which was a lovely suprise on arrival). The villa was immaculate and well equipped, with everything you could need for babies/children including stairgates, cot and high chair all set up for us on arrival. The concierge were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. The private pool was cold as not heated but we braved it and enjoyed using the lovely garden and bbq. There is also a communal outdoor and indoor pool and breakfast was of an excellent standard with really friendly staff who clearly all love little ones. The shop is perfect for essentials but a car is beneficial to get to the nearest big supermarket in Almancil. We didn't use the childcare as our baby is too little but it looked great. We walked to the beach and back once (20 mins each way) and drove once, exceptionally clean and quiet. We also drove to Martinhal Sagres for lunch, gorgeous coastline and super food with a puree menu for babies! A fabulous holiday and we're now real fans of the Martinhal brand, they've thought of everything for families so you can go with complete confidence that you'll have a great time with little ones. A watch out, we had issues sitting together with our flights booked through Expedia. Although in online check-in we had seats together when we got to the airport it transpired that they weren't in both directions due to where baby masks are located, very disappointing.

We stayed in a 3-bed townhouse with child friendly facilities (fenced off pool, stair gates etc). The pool in the property was too cold to swim in (mid-September) and the garden was small and lost the sun around 2pm - we wonder if this was because we had requested the child-friendly facilities that we were more restricted in terms of which property we were allocated. All rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful and the M-Bar is well equipped for families (baby pool - colder than the big pool, a decommissioned camper van, trampoline, large sand pit, and water fountains). The supermarket was no more expensive than Apolonia but quite limited in choice. Food from O'Terraco was disappointing - my cod was really salty. Breakfast was excellent (out of season it is included in price). The beach was nearby but no facilities are included from the hotel.

Lovely villa. Nice pool area. Good choice of breakfast. Downside you can't pay cash at the pool everything has to go to the villa. Can't pay cash in the shop. Needs adult only pool far to many kids by the pool so was noisy.

We were very impressed by the spacious high quality town house. Our garden with its little pool was private and a real sun trap. The pool hangout area was fab - our children loved the trampoline and camper van, which really helped them find friends. We used the indoor pool on a rainy day, which was also lovely. Breakfasts were a real treat and all the food we ate at lunch and dinner was lovely. Our children went to kids club twice and really enjoyed it. The shop on site is smart and has good quality, albeit limited produce. We did find we needed to use the larger supermarket, which is only a 4 min drive away and also good quality. The nearby beach is beautiful. A great stay.

Wow, whoever decorated this house has such beautiful taste. No corner left bare. Little touches everywhere. The outdoor space was just amazing, so much room to enjoy. 2 proper seating areas, loungers, a hot bath and the pool! We were a group of 7 adults, mixed ages and everyone was thrilled with the place. Such high quality furnishings, and a gorgeous kitchen too. We really were spoiled and are so glad we stayed. Ana our host was so helpful and kind. I cannot wait to return with my family next time. Also, I don't know if it's usual to have such enormous space and be so close to town, but with this you get both. A lovely small walk to be in the middle of the pedestrianised street. LOVED it!!

Amazing property with loads of extras. The beds were large and comfy. Good towels were provided for both swimming and bathing. Great coffee machine, large fridge/freezer, bbq area and swimming pool. The place was exceptionally clean. Great Aircon in the bedrooms that were practically silent when in use. There was no want for anything and Ana, the host, was always available for questions and help. I can't recommend this property enough. We were 8 ladies on a birthday weekend trip. We expected to be out every night enjoying the local food but the space provided was so wonderful, we stayed in for 2 of the 3 nights.

None of the drawers are empty! • Gorgeous outdoor area, lots of seating and aesthetically pleasing pool and bath. • Ana is extremely polite, welcoming and continues to check up during your stay. She provides lots of useful information about the area and restaurants to visit. She should teach a course on hosting! All in all, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend, truly deserving of a 10/10.

The house is perfectly located in the heart of Faro and greatly kitted out. There is everything one may need for a short or long stay with friends and family. The decoration has been done with taste and is of great quality and the garden with a pool is such a beautiful space to enjoy in the sunshine. The communication with the host was made in a timely manner and we appreciated a lot all the recommendations for restaurants ! We will definitely comeback !

This property exceeded our expectations in all ways! It was clear that lots of thought had been put into all the little details, from clean sheets and towels to a fully equipped kitchen. A huge highlight was the beautifully decorated backyard patio space with a small dipping pool. We had many relaxing mornings with breakfast and coffee there. The outside area with private pool was where we spent most of our time - this was also very clean, well-equipped and a very pleasant sociable space to be in. Highly recommend!

Excellently well maintained villa and grounds. The villa was absolutely spotless and having a full clean halfway through the week was brilliant. The villa had everything you needed and the staff were very very good for any small question or issues you had. They were there to sort it in a matter of minutes (not that any issue was big....just an outside chair that broke the was replaced in 5 mins after I sent a WhatsApp to Susana - she was amazing!). The pool and gardens were immaculate and pool very good for kids. Our 6 year old loved it. The walk to the beach was around 15mins. The beach was very clean and close by to some lovely restaurants . I can honestly say, we all loved it and so much so have booked to go back again next May half term!

The villa was so clean, comfortable and spacious. The surroundings were beautiful with great facilities such as a pool and baby pool, tennis and volleyball courts, table tennis, and a small putting green. We could rent sports equipment to use for the week. Location wise we weren't far from the boardwalk and beach, and only 15 mins walk to some lovely restaurants. Susana was fantastic and communication with her was so easy in the lead up to and during our stay. If you're coming during a busy period, I'd recommend making restaurant (for the popular ones) and bike hire reservations in advance.

The owner & staff were so friendly & obliging. The terraced bedrooms had pool view & it was so peaceful. Lovely welcome gifts of wine & cookies was a nice touch. spacious house & very clean. The garden had ample furniture & bbq. Lovely big pool with island in the middle. Will return.

This was a lovely house, the hosts were fabulous. Very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and cleaned again part way through our stay. It was nice and quiet. The pool area and tennis court were in great condition. The gardens were fabulous. So much so that I sought out the gardener to thank him for taking so much care of the place. It was only a ten minute walk to the beach. We were surrounded by a nature reserve. My only concern was the abandoned building at the top of the street which had numerous smashed windows. This made me wonder who could be hanging about at night. Whilst there were sun loungers at the pool there were non at the property which would have been useful.

All rooms had A/C, which was required in the weather we had during our stay. Swimming pool was large and there was plenty of sun beds and space around the pool, including a BBQ and Pizza Oven. Location was ideal. Being 10minutes from Vilamoura meant it was peaceful and quiet, but only a short ride into Vilamoura or Albuferia (25mins) when we wanted something a bit more lively. We didn't hire car, but found Uber and Bolt very easy and cheap. Host could not have been more helpful and was always available.

The place was spacious and homey with really comfortable beds and couches, plenty of fridge and freezer space for all our food😁The view is stunning with excellent location just a 10 min drive from Vilamoura beach, the area is beautiful and the garden and pool was simply amazing we had such a fabulous time relaxing on the beach chairs in the gorgeous sunshine and enjoying the couches on the balcony as well as having fun in the pool! Our host was very accommodating always communicated immediately and helped us out with whatever we needed!! It was a fantastic holiday, thank you Tony!!

We just LOVED everything! The place, the family and owners, the animals, the Croquet team players, the farm, the swimming pool, the meals, etc, etc, etc But the thing we liked the most was the concept of the Centre. The reason why was created, to whom was created, how it is managed and the happiness that brings to those who have the opportunity to stay @ the Centre. It over passed my expectations by far. You followed your dreams allowing others to have the opportunity to follow theirs as well. That is a wonderful mission! You are such a lovely family THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVICE AND THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. ❤️. You may be sure we will come back over and over again.

We chose to stay here due to the proximity to a wedding we attended. We were blown away by the site, its mission and the wonderful staff, not to mention the small zoo with a small collection of very healthy and happy animals which you can tour with the staff. The site is set up to cater to families with children with special needs but regularly takes bookings from anyone. There is also a swimming pool, ample breakfast and various entertainments for families including table tennis and table football. We loved it here and will be recommending a stay to several families we know.

We stayed here to be closed to Faro airport on leaving Portugal and really enjoyed out stay, we would happily recommend this guest house especially to families with young children. The air conditioner in our room was effective and pleasingly quiet, bug mesh on the window, fully accessible showers and a kettle in the room. The small pool is warmed and perfect for relaxing in, kids will love this place. Lots of walks through the lovely grounds looking at plants and many exotic animals. There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere, very relaxing.

A beautiful, traditional property in the peaceful and scenic hills of Estoi. Mrs Natalina met us to check us in, and was so helpful and kind. The villa was spotless. Carlos is a fantastic host and always at the end of the phone if there were any questions to be asked. We will definitely stay again

Everything! The house is amazing… the whole house has lock down shutters. The pool is great and the driveway is so long with private gates. Great place to relax. There’s a local supermarket 5 min drive. You’ll need a hire car. You won’t be disappointed!

Our towels and bedding were changed halfway through our stay. Marta was brilliant! She gave clear instructions on what documentation was required prior to our arrival and helped during our stay. It was stress free and really appreciated.

We rented the property for our daughter’s wedding and we were delighted with it. It is very well maintained with spacious rooms and beautiful gardens, (great for bridal photos) and a swimming pool suitable for adults and children. Staff were friendly, professional and customer focused. They made us feel very welcome.

Villa and grounds were beautiful. Location was excellent for trips to locations in the Algarve and was close enough to Vale Do Lobo for our golf days! Rooms were very spacious and well maintained, bedding was clean and fresh. Marta was very helpful in the lead up and Saule was very helpful and attentive on arrival! Pool cover was excellent on the windy afternoons and the kitchen was well fitted out for our stay!

Good location, within walking distance of Lidl and short drive to Aquashow park or Quarteira beach. Villa managers kept regular contact and visited a few times to see if we needed anything. Taxi firm recommended by Villa managers were excellent, all drivers were punctual and very friendly.

We loved the accommodation. The rooms were stunning. The beds were very comfortable and a great night sleep was had. The sitting room was great in the evenings and we used the balcony every night. The kitchen was fully stacked with everything you could need for home cooking. We were at the pool daily, although quite cold we still swam as it was great to cool off. We played tennis daily and the gym was superb for every workout

Great apartment and lovely complex. Not much to criticise, everything was fabulous. The delicious fresh bread rolls dropped off every morning (bar Sunday) was a nice touch. Daily apartment clean, bed making, towel change was exemplary (again bar Sunday). We loved the Encosta complex swimming pool and most days had it virtually all to ourselves.

Our stay at Fonte Santa Villa was absolutely unreal. It catered for all ages, our party of 6 adults & 5 children 4-13 were all entertained! The house is absolutely beautiful and so spacious. It was spotless on our arrival and we had pool maintenance every few days & a full clean once a week. There are so many positives for this place. But one thing we found great that wasnt mentioned was the general security of the plot and gated patio areas, meaning we could keep our little ones away from the pool when needed & We felt safe and secure. It had many shady spots along with all day sunshine in the garden. It is a about a 20-25 min walk to the beach and the main area of quarteria, but Uber works well in the area and was around €5-€7 euros to get into town. LIDL across the road was certainly helpful and there are a few bars/resturants within the immediate area. Also the weekly (wednesday) clothes market very close by was lovely to have a nose round. Highly recommended tall, I didnt want to leave. Warning! This place WILL give you the holiday blues 💙 Also if your looking for a place to go for the cross over period between check out & a flight home - the tiramisu bar/paddle club, about 5 mins uber down the road was perfect, with a resturant open 8am-12am, huge outdoor pool, trampoline, park, garssed areas & sports facilities. You just cant go wrong!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The children loved the pool which was warm and deep. There were a few pool toys which was a nice bonus. The games room was well equipped along with the gym, although only used once by my son. We had everything we needed and it was only a short walk to the nearest shop. The terrace and outside areas were lovely to sit at. The air con worked very well. I have to mention Marcela who was a fabulous host. She responded to my messages quickly and dealt with problems when they arose. Thank you Marcela.

This villa is great, we all had a great time and we would love to return. The pool and garden is lovely, lots of seating areas, very well equipped with everything you'll likely need for a holiday. The air conditioning here is probably the best I've ever experienced. The location is far enough from Quarteira and Vilamoura for some peace and quiet, yet close enough to be able to drive/Uber in to the town for entertainment. We walked a few times, but it's a little too far to do every day/night, especially for young ones. The proximity to Lidl is great for picking things up throughout the stay. The waterpark is only 5-10 minutes drive away, too. All in all, we thought it was superb.

The villa was lovely. It had all the facilities you could need. Felt at home immediately. It had a lovely garden and beautiful views over the valley. The terrace area was perfect for spending the day relaxing both in and out of the sun.. The area had all you could require and didn't feel overly touristy. I would happily return to this villa again and loved this area of the algarve.

The space was excellent for us because we wanted enough room not to get in each others way, although we needed a strict 2 people only in the kitchen rule when preparing food. The pool was lovely , even though it was winter and it was cold, we went in most days for some exercise and its a really good size for a decent swim with a fantastic view! The pool table was a bonus and provided some nice healthy family competition. The outside dining and leisure areas were really nicely thought out and if dining in the evening then the sunset view is incredible. The location is peaceful and quiet ( mostly)

Absolutely wonderful Villa with amazing views. The villa is very clean and very spacious. The pool is great, the whole family loved it. The pictures don't do it justice! Very close to the Airport. We wanted somewhere quiet and this was an ideal location. We were met by the letting agent Joao after midnight and he was very good and explained the details very efficiently. Highly recommended 👌

The property is located in a good place where you can park and if you have a noisy group is still fine as not many properties around. The bbq and the pool and all rooms are very comfortable. Enjoyed the snooker table as well. The views are amazing at night as well as morning !

The villa is spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay - our children spent hours in the pool and games room.

This is a really nice villa - it’s huge, much bigger than it looks on the pics. It has a nice pool, inflatables, good outside space with nice outdoor furniture. It pretty much has everything you need in a villa! Iberian Escapes were v helpful and flexible with us on check in/out.

It was a fabulous stay. Plenty of room and very clean and modern.

The property was lovely. I actually stayed there two years ago, loved it then and the improvements that have been made to the bathrooms have really enhanced the experience. Lovely villa in my favourite part of Portugal.

The grounds of the villa were very spacious, and the views were amazing. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The villa is very peaceful and set back from the town. The pool is a really good size and there are plenty of sun loungers to sit back and relax. We have stayed in villas for a number of years and mainly in the vilamoura area near the marina. We took a chance on a bit of a change, and this didn't disappoint. We would definitely come back again.

A great pool and the villa was nice ,we needed a fan in the lounge and one was delivered in a few hours and it was a high end one as well! The lady who looked after us was very helpful!

The outside space was great. The pool was big with lots of outside space. Everything was very clean. The villa is in a lovely quiet area with great views, and the town of Loule is just a 10 minute drive away.

Wonderful villa. The pool is great. Not heated, but it was so hot that it was not needed. Beds were nice, and there's AC in each room. Kitchen has most of the stuff you need.

Immaculate grounds, with a private pool. Perfect villa for a family, a couple of families, or a larger group. We had an amazing stay, so much so that we are booked to go back again :-)

Second time here now, what’s not to like! a beautiful villa, in a lovely part of the Algarve. 4 big bedrooms, all with en-suite. Note 2 of these are downstairs. The master bedroom’s bathroom upstairs has been renovated since 2024, which was great to see. The owner, Maxim, is a great host and communication with him is always prompt and clear. Maria from the concierge team is so helpful. The swimming pool has recently been renovated and re-tiled which looks incredible. You need a car to get about to the supermarket, beach or restaurants, or just use Uber like we do - which is always timely, cheap and convenient. We love the tranquility and space this villa offers - it’s beautiful. BBQ on the rear terrance out of the sun if you want, and outside dining at the front by the pool. Thanks Maxim

This is a beautiful villa with a gorgeous pool; it's situated within easy walking distance of the beach and several restaurants. We were made very welcome by the housekeeper Maria and a bottle of chilled bubbly, invited to use the bikes, table tennis & so forth. The kitchen & garage are very well stocked with kitchen gadgets, washing machines, beach towels and so forth. The air conditioning was hugely appreciated, as daytime temperatures were between 32 and 35, and at night the temperature only fell to high twenties. We would happily stay again.

The Villa was exceptional, outside and in. Plenty of space for all 8 of us. You would definitely need a car as it is away from the nearest town, Loulé. But having said that, to stay there was a pleasure, completely out away from everything. Pure bliss. Loulé is a beautiful town, has everything and more and less of the hustle and bustle of other towns. So if your looking for a quiet location with a fabulous pool, views and beautiful villa with aircon this is the place to stay.

I will run out of superlatives to describe this place. From the gorgeous, leisurely breakfasts sitting outside, followed by trips out to explore the Rias Formosa area, or lovely local towns. Then back for a late lunch and a relaxing afternoon by the pool, reading or just looking at the scenery. Then driving out to a local restaurant to sample the food. Mandiba (their gentle dog) was always there to welcome us back. Miguel and Manuela were always on hand to provide information and support. The rooms were good sized than thoughtfully laid out with everything you would expect for this kind of accommodation. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changes regularly. The bed was large and comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The couple and their staff work really hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible, creating a peaceful and relaxed oasis amongst the fig trees which provided an endless supply of tasty fruit during our august visit.

Monte das Perdizes is a lovely mini-hotel/B&B about 30 minutes drive from Faro. Our room was spacious, modern and very clean with excellent air conditioning, a comfortable king size bed and large modern bathroom. There was also a separate kitchenette area with fridge, microwave and kettle. Outside there’s plenty of seating (both loungers, comfortable seating and table/chairs for al-fresco breakfasts. Indeed breakfast was excellent and nice to be able to sit outside and eat by the pool. The husband and wife owners were so friendly and gave lots of local advice. The only drawback is access is along 1km of very bumpy dirt track. You also do need a car for access. Absolutely loved the hotel and would highly recommend. (Thank you).

We stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed it so much we were determined to go back. Excellent then & excellent now. Everything immaculately clean - we couldn’t fault it. Lovely walk in shower , comfortable bed , nice breakfast and we were able to eat outside as the weather was kind. Our hosts are kindness personified. We asked if it was ok to bring food back one evening and they were so obliging . We needed an early breakfast to catch our flight and we were provided with everything you could need at 6.00 a.m including a sandwich to take with us. Garden/ pool area well cared for set in idyllic countryside.

Manuela and her husband are the perfect hosts. They are very friendly and make you feel most welcome. The location is almost in the middle of nowhere which guarantees a very quiet and relaxing stay. My room was very big and I loved the design of my bathroom. Breakfast was served in a very nice lounge and the variety was great. I loved sitting at the pool and watching the sunrise early in the morning. I hope to come back and spend a bit or more time there.

The purpose built property is set in the hills behind Olhao in an orchard with fig trees. It is a beautiful setting away from the busy coast and easy to find following the instructions provided by the hosts. Rooms are comfortable and we ate the delicious breakfast outside under the carob tree by the pool. Manuela and Miguel were welcoming and very helpful.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of booking. We stayed here for three nights and four days but both wished it could have been longer. All staff members are helpful, happy and polite, especially the breakfast staff. Upon check in, the young girl on the desk was very helpful, showed us to our room and explained the dynamics of the hotel. Our room was beautiful, really spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom and comfortable bed. The roof top pool was great, especially in the heatwave Faro is currently having. The pool is cold but very welcome in the heat. Not too many sun beds but we always managed to find one. If they are all taken there are plenty of seats around to use. Towels are provided for at the pool. The pool area is table service which was great. Food at this hotel is delicious. We stayed bed and breakfast but also had lunch a couple of times. Really really good nachos. All the food looked really good, I don’t think any of it would disappoint. The hotel is in a great location, everything is within walking distance. Some lovely little shops and bars/restaurants. I would say the hotel is mostly aimed at adults but some children were staying here too. Definitely book this hotel, it’s beautiful. We loved our stay, thank you 3HB.

Just returned home from a fabulous 5 night break at 3hb Faro. It was so good we booked an extra night. Beautiful Hotel. The rooms are impeccable. We stayed in a suite on the second floor and the housekeeping staff are to be commended - always friendly when we passed on the corridor and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautifully made up each day to the highest standard. The pool area is lovely but don’t expect a sunbed unless you’re there very early but the surrounding seats are comfortable enough. The pool isn’t heated which is fine at this time of year but it would annoy me if it was May/June/September. The food at the pool bar is excellent. The quality of food at the breakfast buffet is outstandingly fresh and eggs etc can be ordered from a fairly limited hot food menu. There are sausages and bacon in a separate part of the buffet which would be my only criticism. I think all hot food in a 5 star hotel should be cooked from scratch at the point of order. I also had a massage which was booked through the spa and it was excellent. It’s a quiet atmosphere in the hotel over all - suitable for families with young children and adults. I would imagine a family with older children might find that that the children could be bored if staying for more than a couple of nights. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well.

I stayed at 3HB Hotel Faro, a 5-star hotel in Faro, and it was a nice experience. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Ricardo, in particular, was very kind and helped us plan our activities, which was much appreciated. The hotel has all the amenities you might need, including a spa, gym, indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, and a pool bar. The food was tasty and enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, and the hotel itself is modern, which adds to the overall comfort. Its central location right in the middle of the shops and pedestrian area makes it a great spot for exploring Faro. One thing to keep in mind is that cars aren’t allowed between 10 AM and 8 PM. If you arrive during those hours, your car will need to drop you off about three minutes away from the hotel, and you’ll have to walk with your luggage. If that’s a concern, then walk to the hotel and seek help. Overall, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay if you’re visiting Faro.

Amazing hotel Staff: so nice,friendly, attentive and very helpful Rooms: we had a double room and a twin room. Both rooms very spacious. AC is the rooms which was very much needed,. Rooms were cleaned twice a day. The mini bar has free water, still and sparkling and 2 big cans of Coca Cola, teas and espresso. Machine I the room. All topped up twice a day. Shower was a walk in one. Very nice. We had breakfast included, food was amazing. They have a menu for different egg dishes and crepes. Also fruits, cold meats, cheeses, cereal , breads , pastries , bacon, cooked spinach and mushrooms all available. Very friendly and attentive staff at breakfast. We had dinner one night, very nice pizzas. Hotel pool is an infinity roof top pool which great views of the town. You need to go early to get a lounger but there are lots of reclining chairs. The indoor pool and spa was very nice and relaxing. The hotel is right in the centre of twon.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a recent trip to Faro and we thought the 3HB was a fantastic hotel. The decor felt truly 5* and the room and bathroom were huge! The check in desk were super helpful and always available if you needed them. The only room for improvement would be the service on the rooftop terrace around the pool which didn’t really match up to the rest of the hotel: They had QR codes where you could scan for the menu but it was a shame that you couldn’t order this way. We spent two days around the pool and no one came around to ask if we wanted any drinks, so we had to always go up to the bar to ask. It also said the bar hatch opened at 10:30 when it didn’t open actually until 11 on both days. They add a discretionary service charge to each order but it didnt really feel like the service was good enough for this. If the hotel could provide better drinks service in this area then it would feel more like a 5* experience.

This was our first visit to the Conrad as recommended by friends. We spent 5 nights in Deluxe Twin Pool View (room 318) and the room itself was spacious with a lovely bathroom area. Loved the pillow menu too! Balcony was huge with a couch and two chairs. The sun shines on balcony from the afternoon to sunset. Housekeeping was good in general but simple little things let it down. Inconsistent with fresh glasses and water replenishment. But apart from that housekeeping was good. We spent one evening in the room (door was on DND) and received an email from reception asking if we would like turndown service which was very good service. Both pools are very nice. All beds were reserved early at the top pool (adults only). Beds at bottom pool (family pool) were always available. We were provided a complementary small carton of water at the pool each morning. A 2L bottle thereafter will set you back €7+service a bottle. Water was available in main lobby but always got taken away later in the afternoon…. Not sure why this wasn’t available 24/7? Breakfast was good. Nice seating areas indoor & outdoor. A good spread that you would expect for breakfast with plenty fruit and fruit juice available too. There are bars & restaurants opposite the hotel in a little shopping area. I recommend booking dinners in advance as they were always very busy around 8-9pm. Tony’s & Cheeky Pup worth a visit. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would return again :)

Writing this review after staying in February / off season. Traveled with family, including 14 year old son. Given the time of year, and potential for suboptimal weather, finding a hotel with an indoor pool that was family friendly was important. While the Conrad Hilton does include an indoor pool, it is treated as an after thought. At times there were not enough loungers for the number of families at the pool, the area was dark and dingy, and the 'hot' tub was not hot at all. We tend to hike during the day, and look forward to relaxing by a pool in the late afternoon. This was not it. We had 2 days of sun, and the hotel did not prepare the outdoor pool area. A full day after the rain, the pool loungers were still puddled with water. On the positive side, the Hilton team members we interacted with were amazing. Everyone was kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast options were plentiful and fresh. The rooms are large, modern, were a comfortable size for 3 of us, and cleaned/tidied twice daily. Our car was often waiting for us at the front before we even called for it. Overall enjoyed our stay, but would have really hit the mark had the facilities been better for families. May be a different experience during high season.

This is our 8th stay here. We always book a King Grand Deluxe Room Pool View ( the best except for a suite) and are normally allocated a room on either side of the atrium eg. 501 /402. This time we were given 422. It was lovely but smaller, with a pool view blocked by a huge tree. We did question the allocation but they confirmed it was correct ( I would in the future request one of the rooms with a direct view of the pool near the lift, as I felt a little cheated). That aside, the room is spotlessly clean, housekeeping twice a day, huge comfy bed. Breakfast is lovely, plenty of variety. A fantastic warm welcome from Goncalo, the Concierge, who remembered us from last time, takes a natural interest in what you are up to, a real asset to the hotel. Ricardo at the pool was so attentive, always a friendly smile ( though the hotel has a huge problem with Brits bagging sunbeds at 7.30 am, then not turning up till 4 pm). Most are covered in towels by 9 am. It did lead to a few confrontations which wasn't ideal. (They need to sort this out). The Spa is great, Sonia gives a fantastic massage and tailors it to what you want. They have done up the bar.... and wow what a transformation....loved it. With a fantastic outside seating area now. A great new addition.

Absolutely amazing hotel! So gorgeous and the staff were so friendly and accommodating, absolutely nothing was too much for them. Can’t wait to return! The only negative thing I’d say is that I wish there was a separate pool for kids as there were quite a few that were jumping in the pool and splashing people or screaming which I understand is just what kids do but sometimes you want the option of a pool to just relax at that’s adults only. It’s such a big resort so definitely space for a kiddy pool! Other than that the hotel was so clean and beautiful and honestly was the definition of paradise

Room was stunning. Pools were lovely but cold! the best pool was the spa indoor and infinity pool, these were much warmer. We absolutely loved the hydro pool and the whole spa in general was amazing, I had the best pregnancy massage I’ve ever had, it is on the pricey side though. Breakfast was delicious! The staff are incredible here, so attentive and friendly, super helpful and seem to remember everyone’s names which for a hotel of that size is very impressive. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be retuning.

We spent two nights here in this fantastic hotel. The location is great - right next to the town so you can get out and easily stroll the streets. They have a very small underground car park which we used as the free street parking looked full, however it did cost 20 euros a night so quite expensive. The hotel is super modern and clean everywhere. Rooms are a nice size and the bed incredibly comfy! Breakfast was great for us with a nice selection of hot and cold foods. We only used the pool one late afternoon and had no problem getting beds. They have fresh pool towels to use which is a plus. The pool and bar have a nice view looking out. Can't find any faults really!

Staff are amazing! incredibly friendly. Great location in Olhao which is a beautiful spot. Pool area is lovely, very chill with nice easy music from 12pm onwards. Food is great in the pool bar and they do amazing cocktails. We have been back two years in a row and absolutely would go again.

Rooftop pool is the highlight here with amazing views and a very relaxed poolside atmosphere.

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of April. Bit of a last minute booking and we were apprehensive about the weather forecast but we had a lovely time. The hotel is a 10 euro taxi ride from Faro airport and is perfectly situated in the heart of Olhao Town. We loved being able to wander around the old streets and down to the harbour. Considering it was quiet season there were still plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to choose from. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, everything was fresh although there was no variation in choice over the 3 days. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional and everywhere was exceptionally clean. The modern, light, airy decor was beautifully done. The rooms were an adequate size with a large walk in shower. Also included was a fridge and safe. We had room 301 which overlooked the main road at the front but it was fairly quiet. Although there was no balcony, the floor to ceiling windows opened to allow plenty of fresh air. The pool roof top terrace was stunning, but unfortunately the water was too cold for us! The views from the terrace were outstanding. We could see the islands and watch the storks in their nest on the roof of the beautiful church nearby. We don't have anything negative to say about this hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful town.

Our room has large windows facing the small park, very pleased. Room has computer desk, round table, bed table, a single sofa and a big bed. Lots of space to move around and store stuff. Bathroom is big too. There is an air heater in the bathroom so it can be warmed very quickly before shower. The light system for the bathroom is stupid though, need to follow certain sequence to turn on and off the lights using the 4 switches on the wall. Took us quite a while to figure it out. There is a nice roof with terrace and an indoor swimming pool. Although we Didnot use the pool but the room for the swimming pool felt very warm in winter. We did enjoy the sunshine and the view on the terrace. The breakfast room on the ground floor is very nice in a sunroom with greens. Breakfast is great, many options. There are also nice sitting area on the ground floor next to the breakfast room.

Very nice hotel, the location is amazing to explore the town as everything is pretty much always 15 minutes or less walking distance. I had planned my stay to be in Loule for the Saturday morning market and it was really fun. There’s multiple restaurants very close by, the morning buffet was very generous with multiple options, the dining room is gorgeous, the pool was truly appreciated when the weather got very hot in the afternoon it was a welcome relief to just be able to use the pool and terrace. The bed was comfortable, the room wasn’t huge, but for a solo traveler it’s more than enough, the shower water pressure was great and the water stayed warm even for a long shower. The room was clean, spotless and the towel and linens smelled fresh.

We only stayed a night because we have family in the area but we were absolutely delighted with how great the hotel is! We didn't have time to check out the pool but the bed was enormous and the shower pressure excellent. The best thing though was the breakfast - we're vegan and the range of options was completely unexpected and absolutely wonderful. As well as a great range of fruit, there was vegan yoghurt, alternative milk, lots of nuts and dried fruit and, best of all, actual vegan croissants. We were so excited! The options were better than some very fancy 5 star hotels we've stayed in. The location is great if you're looking for an alternative Portugal holiday. You can still get to the beaches easily enough with a car, but you can easily walk around Loule, which is a lovely and very Portuguese (not overly touristy) town, and drive up to the mountains from here.

The experience was great, all the way from checking in to checking out, the breakfast had a great selection of bread, pastries, fruits, coffee, juices, etc. it was a great way to start the morning. The room was cleaned daily and fresh sheets and towels were provided which was nice to come back to after a long day out. The rooftop pool is a great way to relax, although didn't use it much. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Parking is just outside of the hotel on a public road, however, finding a space was not an issue. Overall, highly recommend staying here.

If you are looking for a very quiet location with country views, then this is the place. The expansive grounds and pool area are very well maintained. The staff are excellent and certainly make you feel welcome and they are also very helpful. There are only about 20 rooms. Nice touch is providing two bathrobes. There are very small balconies pool side, but no chairs on them. A pool view room is the best option. Air conditioning in the room worked well and was reasonably quiet. Lots of hot water, though the towels are on the small side. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. Small mini bar, huge closets. Breakfast included plenty of fresh fruit, ham, cheese and lots of different kinds of bread and rolls. Eggs and bacon were cooked freshly for us. The restaurant, which is a short walk across the gardens of the hotel (closed on Mondays) is very reasonably priced and the food is excellent. WIFI wasn't good in our room, but as we had our own computer Reception provided a LAN cable which gave us excellent connectivity. Apparently if you have a room near to Reception then WIFI works well there, and it also works pool side. The hotel could be quite difficult to find at night. There are signs for Quinta dos Poetas, but suggest you write to the hotel and ask for directions or use Google maps (we were driving from the western Algarve) and found the hotel fairly easily during the daytime using Google. One of the most relaxing short breaks we have had - we will return.

This Hotel is a family run business with a focus on hospitality and friendliness. The room was adequate for what we wanted but was old fashioned with a small balcony. Everything else about this hotel was exceptional, the pool area, the breakfast, the cuisine all 5 star. Then you walk out of the pool area into the very well kept gardens and the ponds. Within the ponds you find an array of friendly turtles, if you remember to take a few slices of bread from the breakfast table these turtles will be your friend for life. At around 7 pm every night while you sit outside near the pool area you will be entertained by the frog choir. it was truly amazing to listen the sounds from these amphibians. All in all i will be visiting this hotel again as we really enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks to all the staff

not everyones cup of tea this place if you want sandsea bars clubs and fast food stay away please because we want it to ourselves heaven on earth compared to the resorts so quiet and peaceful just lie back and wonder how all those crickets manage to stop rubbing there legs together at exactly the same time wierd that the location the views the completely relaxed atmosphere without the manyana attitude ask for something and its there the lovely clean crisp rooms with superb bathrooms and acres of wardrobe space the most amazing and very reasonably priced food and that georgeous cool not cold crystal blue pool there for you just when you need it we stayed for four nights out of east mids on easy jet at the end of july great flight times twenty euros from the air port and within three hours we were sitting by the pool with a bottle of wine we cannot wait to go back and will be in september total relaxtion in an incredible location so please stay away its ours

We only stayed for one night but would consider returning for longer. Although we arrived at 11am we were welcomed by the friendly staff and given our room early. Our room was not large but very clean and modern. We headed for the pool which was very quiet and had views over the hotels attractive grounds. The pool was a bit cold for our liking but maybe that was because of the time of year. There were plenty of sun loungers and chairs. In the evening we strolled the short distance across the gardens to the hotel restaurant where we found the staff relaxed and friendly. The food was very good and well priced.

Very tranquil, in beautiful surroundings with lovely pool. Breakfast included in room rate was super and being able to sit beside the pool having breakfast was a real treat in the morning sun. Wish I was back there now!

Majestic location and property - both beautiful and tranquil. We felt totally at peace during our time there. The best 2 days of our 4 weeks in Spain and Portugal. Staff went above and beyond what is considered the norm. The lady in reception was an absolute angel, the chef who prepared our scrumptious dinner is an absolute culinary legend, the young lady who was our host for dinner was do friendly and helpful and the cleaning, gardening and maintenance staff all very hardworking and diligent. Whilst you are here, definitely enjoy the facilities restaurant, bar, pool ,spa and outdoor gym bug also drive you Tsbies and enjoy the scenic walks along the river and the scrumptious food. Then download AllTrails and go hiking through the hills around the hotel. You will love it. We are definitely coming back (from Australia!)

The hotel was in the quiet green hills. Upon arrival we heard that there would be a big group of teenage kids and for that reason we got an upgrade to the deluxe room, which was huge. We were not bothered by the kids at all and we enjoyed everything: the pool, the sauna, the restaurant. Great quality food, we decided to have several dinners there, the personnel was very friendly and available. Would recommend!

My husband and I loved our getaway for a night. The room was on the first floor overlooking the pool and countryside. The restaurant food was lovely and such high quality. The breakfast had so many choices too. There was water, coffee and tea in the room with a balcony to enjoy the sunset. There was little walks around the place, animals, swing and hammock to enjoy.

Beautiful place to stay for some rest, Gardens and surrounding areas well maintained, lots of space for peace, lovely smell of rosemary through. Great size rooms with balcony or terrace. Lovely pool to cool down in. Pedro at the bar was friendly and made great cocktails. Had dinner in the restaurant was beautifully cooked - even got given a birthday cake with a candle for dessert.

Perfect in every way! This is what 5 starts looks like! My husband and I were traveling for our wedding anniversary, and our Secret Suite was perfect--the private pool, the patio, the concierge, the breakfasts...it was all heaven. The hospitality is warm and down-to-earth. The food at the restaurant is amazing--including amazing vegetarian dishes. The resort includes different activities like yoga, cocktail-making classes, and wine tasting. For an unforgettable experience in the Algarve, don't hesitate--book this now!

A beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff were very helpful and attentive although the Maid Service was erratic. I had to ask for pool towels as they weren't replaced for two days and on one day the room still had not been cleaned at 4pm. However when I brought the matter to the attention of the Reception staff it was rectified immediately. I thought the pool bar food rather expensive and did not eat at the Hotel's Gourmet Restaurant as I thought the prices were excessive. We were never sure when the Pool bar would be closing as on some occasions it was open until late and on other occasions closed at 7pm.

Turning off the road and into the Vila Monte entrance the view and lushness was amazing. The road up to the reception has a practice golf course either side and gives a great first impression. The resort is spacious but with a small number of superior rooms in 'villas' or suites spaced well apart so often felt like our own personal villa. The normal sized rooms are in 2 storey villas but again not crowded. We had a 'superior' room in a single floor villa (5 rooms total) and a good pool directly outside. There are 3 pools in the resort available to everyone. We went in the 'low' season but even when busy I doubt it would seem crowded. You really do need a car as the restaurant is both expensive €130 for 2 with wine) and limited menu choices - but it is absolutely excellent Michelin star quality so we ate there twice and drove to Montcarapacho, Fuseta or Olhou on other days. The staff were all really friendly and helpful - another couple decided to stay an extra 3 days and Carla (Manageress) took care of the flights, car hire and room changes for them.

Exceeded our expectations - friendly and welcoming service, complimentary champagne reception at the pool bar, spacious & comfortable air-conditioned villa-style accomodation. 4 different pools throughout the resort with plenty of shade & seating. Romantic dining by candlelight in the Orangerie terrace, with superb locally produced food, overlooking the countryside with views of mountains & sea. Fantastic place to get away from it all, especially for couples, about 30 mins drive from Faro airport. Worth every cent - would love to visit again!

The bathroom was lovely, perhaps a shaving mirror would have been nice but toiletries were good quality. The breakfast was good, which we paid for in advance whilst we booked and I think we only paid £2 per day (although I am not too sure of the cost) but it's definitely cheaper than paying when you arrive. The pool area is fantastic with sunbeds and parasols surrounding with an additional seating area up a few steps, it's a bit noisy by the pool with dogs barking and traffic but the hotel is surrounded by streets and houses towels are provided for the pool and I think you can borrow parasols to use if you want to visit beaches which can be got to by water taxi or ferry as there are no beaches nearby.

What a gem! We honestly couldn't fault anything about either the hotel, its services or the staff. Our room was immaculate, light and airy. The pool was the perfect size, with plenty of options for sitting. We never had any issues finding a free sun lounger and the pool area was kept in perfect order. Pool towels were freely available from reception. Although we didn't have breakfast as part of our stay, we chose to pay for it on individual days and found it to be incredibly good value. We want to give an extra big shout to all the staff who, without exception, were unfailingly friendly and helpful. Olhao is a beautiful little town with lots of winding streets to explore and the hotel is well located, within a 10 minute walk of the harbour. There are numerous options for bars and restaurants to meet all tastes and budgets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning a revisit!

This delightful hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk back from the waterside in Olhao. Spotlessly clean with a good small pool that has a good number of loungers around it on different levels. Not much of a view from the pool apart from the hotel and the empty building next door, but from the 3rd (top ) floor where we were there is a view out across the town to the sea. Superior room was good sized with comfortable beds. Kettle provided but bring your own tea or take some from the breakfast buffet. Good selection for breakfast with something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants in the town, we didn't find a bad one in the week we were there. The train station is 5 minutes away and you can travel on The Algarve line along the southern coast of Portugal which is great. Fuseta, Tavira and Villa Real are all worth a visit and the fares are cheap! All the staff here SMILE! Which is so important, it's the same at their sister hotel, Pure Formosa, where you can use the roof top bar which is excellent, (Hi Jefferson! great service from him) We had a wonderful week here,and I'm sure we'll be back!

Absolutely love this hotel the position near train snd bus station do you can travel around so easily . The staff are wonderful the pool area with free pool towels great.the beds are the best I’ve ever slept in ! It’s my fourth stay in a studio and it’s just excellent value for money .

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel in an apartment. Friendly staff, Bruno helped when there was an issue with the air con. Nice pool area, l know its out of their hands, but a dog barked incessantly when we were by the pool. Will stay again!

Based on just one night stay. Family of 4, 2 pre - teen kids. It is a beautiful and luxurious hotel, the two bedroom suite is amazing , even a litte private garden. BUT, to me the POOL is just way to small, they must have added rooms after they built the pool. A LOT of kids, behaving like normal kids; but if I traveled without kids I would have been really bothered by noise and splashing in the pool. The area around the pool also seems very small for such hotell. Super comfortable high quality sunbeds though. SO, if you have kids and don't mind being around a lot og kids in the pool, you will be fine. Very cute miniclub that my daughter really liked, Carolina working there seemed so sweet and caring, and they had fun activities.

We had a lovely long weekend at the Wyndham grand. Rooms were very spacious with seating and kitchen areas. Would have thought ideal for those with young children. Nice balcony too. Whole place was spotlessly clean. All staff were extremely friendly and efficient from emma who did a great yoga class, to the pool bar and bar waiters , all staff at the breakfast buffet housekeeping and reception. Breakfast had a great selection - everything you could think of really, nice and calm and all well stocked no matter what time you went. We didn’t eat at the main restaurant so can’t comment on that. Snack meals at pool bar were nice and plenty. Enjoyed a few nice cocktails from their vast cocktail list. Massage at spa was excellent, and teenagers and I enjoyed the gym. Beware pool is cold but we loved it! Only tiny improvement other hotels offer a shuttle service to nearby golf courses which would have been great. You can walk 10 mins to couple of restaurants nearby and small spar shop. We used Uber and was cheap and quick to come to go to different beach restaurants. We did the 30ish min walk to beach and that was lovely including a swim in the se

It’s secluded with not much to do unless you’re a golfer. We went to the driving range less than a 10 minute walk. That was a nice diversion. We also took Uber to Vilamoura and Loulé for day trips. It’s a good 25 minute walk to the beach so be prepared. There are great walking trails into the Ria Formosa on the way to the beach. Highly recommended but note there are no amenities or bathrooms. The property and staff are top notch. Room on the sunset side was luxurious. Pool area clean and comfortable. Happy hour much appreciated at the comfortable bar. Make sure to visit the indoor pool and jacuzzi and the “hot chairs “ around the pool. Quite relaxing! All in all a great stay for a week in February.

What an amazing week we had at the incredible Wyndham Grand Algarve. The staff were so friendly and went out their way to make you feel special! The rooms were very spacious and I loved that we stayed on the ground floor which meant my girls could play out on the grass at the back. The rooms were very clean. The pool was a brilliant size and it was great having a small toddlers pool. The water was cold but after a few minutes it was fine! The only restaurant in walking distance was KOKO which was just under a 10 minute walk - very nice food and excellent service. You had to get an Uber to anywhere else, however they turned up in minutes and were very cheap and most restaurants were 5/10 minutes drive away. The best thing about the hotel were all the families that were there. Everyone was so friendly and wanting to have a chat which was brilliant. Lots of young families and great having the kids all play together. My older daughters are 7 and 3 and made friends for life and had the best time ever! My advice, especially if you have a young family - book now!!!! :)

The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've had in my life - mimosas, fresh cheeses, freshly baked bread and pastry (in a tiny village) The swimming pool with the VIEW was out of this world and I had it all to myself all day on Christmas Day. there is a small heated indoor pool and sauna / Turkish bath. I generally don't fancy those facilities but they were terrific I was able to enjoy the Roman ruins in the near by and the small museum was a thrill. Art Works were along the large corridors. It was more than a hotel - it was a hotel with a connection to local history. Of course the original building and gardens were terrific and it was lovely to stay someplace so fancy. the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Everybody did their best and worked through Christmas without complaint I typically don't go back to the same place twice but if I would ever revisit a hotel, it would be this treasure. The place is actually nicer than the photos presented (many of the guests though the photos didn't do it justice)

This is a fantastic ex-palace. The reception and main rooms are exquisite. You can use any of the main rooms any time, although the chairs being in keeping with the period are not that comfortable LOL. Great ambience. Excellent pool (getting a pool towel on the other hand more of a challenge!). Basic gym. Outstanding breakfast. Easy parking. Excellent staff. We loved our stay here (we stayed in a superior view room on the 2nd floor, with a terrace looking down to Faro (and a lot of grass). Yes, the building is VERY OLD which means that in a few places the paint is peeling etc. There was also some refurbishment work done in the reception (old chapel ) while we were there. This did nothing to detract from my enjoyment but if you worry about that sort of thing, don't stay.

The breakfast had the most outstanding range of choices I have ever seen, all delicious. Pool was lovely and having the option of the small indoor pool/ jacuzi was lovely to get out of the hot sun. Our room was perfect as they had upgraded us to give us more space, which was very kind of them.

I booked Pousada Palacio de Estoi for a single night because we arrived in Faro on a flight a day earlier than a villa stay started, to avoid airport strikes. I was just looking for a comfortable stop over for me and my family. Based on the price and the photos on Booking.com I wasn't expecting anything particularly special. However Pousada Palacio de Estoi delivered a luxury experience and level of surface that really exceeded my expectations. The photos don't do the hotel justice - it's a mix of modern and historic and both feel very well kept and upscale. I was impressed by the staff - at the front desk, pool side and at breakfast - who delivered the kind of professional and attentive service you'd expect from a hotel charging double. We requested a late checkout. The hotel couldn't accommodate that but let us use the facilities - like the wonderful pool area - for as long as we wanted on checkout day.

What a beautiful and unique hotel! We loved exploring the grounds and gardens. The hotel was pretty quiet when we were there (November) and felt like we had it to ourselves, which we loved. The breakfast really was exceptional and had us set for our day. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool and steam/sauna rooms were such a lovely treat! The hotel staff were very kind and attentive. We appreciated the little details, such as having water and apple to take on our way out the door. There were options to dine within a short drive and plenty to see and do along the coast very close by.

Our family, including our 6-year-old daughter, recently had a delightful five-day stay at Vilar do Golf in Faro, Portugal. The experience exceeded almost all of our expectations, making for a memorable and relaxing holiday. Arrival Experience: Warmly greeted at the reception, we were immediately struck by the convenience of the on-site shop, offering groceries at prices comparable to those in the city. This was a pleasant surprise and added to the ease of our stay. Accommodation: Finding our apartment was straightforward. It impressed us with its spacious, immaculate layout, featuring an American-style living room with an adjoining kitchen on the first floor, and two cozy bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, on the second floor. The inclusion of a bathtub in one bedroom was a thoughtful touch. Weather and Comfort: Visiting in December, we were blessed with sunny days averaging 20°C, while nights dropped to around 9°C. The efficient air conditioning system ensured our apartment remained comfortably warm. Environment: The tranquility of the area was remarkable, contributing to a serene and restful holiday ambiance. The beautifully maintained grounds were a testament to the care and attention given to the resort. Swimming Pools: The pool's temperature of 30°C and the Jacuzzi at 37°C were perfect for relaxation. Although the outdoor pools were open, their cooler temperatures directed us indoors.

Travelled with a 16-month-old and everything was very child friendly and within easy access. We had a 1 bed apartment close to supermarket reception and 3 min walk to pool area. The staff was so nice and friendly especially Carlis at reception and the pool bar team who made my birthday extra special. The playground and pool were our little one's favourites and the views on the golf course were breathtaking. A great escape for families and only 10min away drive from our favourite beach.

I have a 4 year-old child, so I loved the fact that the resort has several pools (the inside one was great when it rained) and also has a playground for the kids to play without the adults ever keeping them out of sight. Plus, the presence of the pool staff was definitely a good thing (especially when some people didn't respect the rules of "a quiet place"). The pool bar was excellent and the staff simply adorable and extremely friendly. Even though we had to climb some stairs to reach the villa, its location was very good. Despite have experienced some minor problems with the villa's equipment, the maintenance staff was very efficient and always extremely quick to repair the stuff. As for cleanliness, I just have one word to describe it: FANTASTIC.

We stayed in a first floor apartment which had a fantastic roof terrace and BBQ. We had a great holiday, the children made lots of friends. The pool area works well having an indoor pool, children's pool and two standard pools in the same area means it works for everyone. The only things that could be improved are the restaurant service/menus - there didn't appear to be enough staff although when the food arrived it was great and the food choices were limited so getting out and about or having your own bbq is definitely a good idea. The other thing that could be improved is the children's entertainment and club - the staff were friendly but there was not enough going on so most of the kids stayed with their parents by the pool.

We loved the layout of the actual apartment, having a rooftop with a hot tub, and a view of the ocean, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a fully stocked kitchen. It was also a short walk to the main area with pools & restaurant. There were 4 pools to choose from, 2 outdoor, 1 kids outdoor, and 1 indoor with a hot tub. The pool staff, especially Augusto, were so welcoming & and lot of fun. The restaurant was lovely, staff friendly, and high quality meals. The boys loved the football field. The most beautiful sandy & clean beach that went on for miles was across the street, with a nice restaurant as well with beach service & restaurant service for lunch & dinner. Everything was perfect, we will be back!

The apartment was super spacious with plenty of storage space. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was within a stone's throw of the beach and you could walk along the beach to other restaurants in ten minutes (Maria's, Izzy's, Praia at Vale Do Lobo). We hired a car which enabled us to visit other places in the area (Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura). Parking was no problem anywhere we went. Highly recommend a ten minute drive to Pizzeria Casavostra for superb pizza. The hotel was very quiet the first week of Sept. The lovely pool staff blew up the children's inflatables, stored them pool-side and brought them out each day which was appreciated. Also - the onsite restaurant is FANTASTIC.

Really great 4 night stay. Place is in great condition. Only down side was too many kids in pool area - adult pool or area would be a great addition. Beach in-front and sunbeds were used daily (although have to pay for sunbeds). Supermarket is 10mins away. Shop in hotel is very limited.

welcoming reception and the staff were very helpful to everyone. Breakfast offered a wide choice to suit everyone particularly liked the home made bread. The pool area is a great area for adults and children alike, the only criticism I would have is the number of steps from the pool side to the pool bar, foe someone with a disability this was quite a challenge. The staff was extraordinary attentive and kind. A big applause for the girls working at the Pool Bar (Melissa and others) who went beyond expectations to make us feel cared for and welcome. The room was comfortable and always made perfect by the cleaning services. The turn down chocolate was a nice touch. Our favorite part of our stay was the incredible breakfast buffet which seriously earns this hotel its 5th star. It was genuinely amazing value. The pool area does get crowded in the afternoon but there is always space even for latecomers… and it’s positively tranquil in the morning (the best pool hours anyway). The hotel never feels busy which is a nice, relaxing feeling. Although others have complained about outdated decor, the atmosphere is much more important to me while on vacation and we got peaceful atmosphere in spades at Ria Park.

My husband & 1 have stayed 6 times. Location is great near the beach, which the hotel provides transportation if needed. Restaurant’s near if you decide to eat out in the evening. Breakfast was lovely with great choices. We had lunch at the pool bar most days. Pool is large and lots of sunbeds around. Never a issue on getting a sunbed. Staff very friendly. Hotel is very clean. We had a side sea view room. which was lovely looking over the pool & sea. Very comfortable bed.

I like the Ria Park and have stayed several times. Its in a very quiet area close to the beach. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The pool area is very nice and the poolside chairs have been improved since last year. They were getting tired. The food in the restaurant is very good. Breakfast choice was extensive. The quality of the food being served is very high and not too expensive. Its a shame more people choose to go outside. Having said that the service was great. The burger for lunch and fish at dinner were superb. They must have a good chef. The bed was very comfy although the room could do with being a bit larger. The property was in good order overall.

We've stayed at several hotels in the Algarve, but this one is the best by far. That's why we came back. The location is perfect. From the moment you check in, you can sense the vibes of the positive atmosphere. The staff strive to provide the best experience for their guests. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options, and Mrs Sol deserves a special mention for always smiling as she replenishes everything. The bar by the wonderful pool offers a great selection of drinks. Rooms at the front of the hotel offer a beautiful sea view. In the summer, you can also dine by the pool. We ate at the Noelia restaurant, which is part of the hotel. (Read my separate review.) We're already planning to celebrate New Year's Eve here. We would like to thank Mrs.Loide at reception, who went above and beyond to accommodate us, as well as Veronica at breakfast and the entire team at this wonderful hotel.

We were only at the hotel for one night, but it was lovely. The room was spacious and we had a nice balcony that overlooked the pool area and the marina across the street. The hotel is quite large and the spa looked great, though we didn't use it. The pool was quite cool - it was April - but it didn't matter to kids who were in it. It was funny to watch the seagulls taking baths in it along the edges in the morning before people were out there. The front desk recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner, Cestaria, which is a very short walk. The bartender was great and made fabulous drinks and the food was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely wonderful and very extensive in their offerings. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2025 and we loved it. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast choice was good. This hotel is ideally placed to explore Olhao and further afield. Minor issues included closed children's pool, playground and some taped off areas by the main pool for maintenance work which wasn't done during the two weeks we were there. We also had a couple of days without air conditioning in extreme heat. This was over a weekend and the problem was fixed on the Monday. Our second visit and once again delighted with our overall stay. Our room was perfect with comfortable beds and cleanliness to a high standard. Water provided every day 👍. Breakfast was much improved with loads to choose from and the staff are very efficient and polite. Pool bar staff were great especially Diego who was exceptionally good, a hard worker. Food was good in both pool bar and restaurant. Although I must say was disappointed with the restaurant staff on our one and only dinning experience as having booked a table earlier that evening a table had to be set for us, they appeared a little disorganised! We will return as overall our experience was excellent.

We had the pleasure of spending a week at the Real Marina. The room was always beautifully turned out (top marks to the housekeeping team), the staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Special mention must go to Zahira in the poolside restaurant, who made us feel so welcome when we first arrived and so looked-after throughout. The freshwater pool is a perfect accompaniment to the Algarve sun and offers a fantastic view of the Ria Formosa National Park from your sun lounger. Located on the waterfront, the hotel is a short walk from all the local amenities and activities. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We arrived after a very early flight and was not surprised that our room was not ready. The check in was very brief, no welcome drink given which we would have expected with a five star hotel and very little information given about the hotel. We changed in the spa area and had a pleasant few hours around the pool. We were told that a text notifying us when our room was ready would be sent but never got one. The room was lovely and housekeeping was fabulous throughout. There is also a nightly turn down and water and the tea tray items are topped up daily. WiFi in the hotel was excellent although could be patchy around the pool area. The breakfast is great and the servers were so friendly. In particular, Barbara who always said hello and greeted everyone by name, a real asset to the hotel. The guys around the pool work so hard, making sure everyone is happy with towels and loungers being prepared and parasols moved. Not easy in the extreme heat! Service from the pool bar was generally good and the drinks and food are delicious. I visited the spa for a massage and the therapist was excellent. There was also a lovely indoor pool and changing room. For golf, if playing the local courses, the hotel has a complimentary shuttle. Reception were very accommodating with times etc. The hotel is situated in a stunning location overlooking the nature reserve and the beach which is about a ten minute walk. We had a super stay and would definitely recommend.

Everything! Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Food was obviously prepared by a first-class chef. All the swimming facilities could not be better - private beach, large pool, small pool, paddling pool and jacuzzi.

We stay at the hotel at least twice a year for the last 4 years as a group of 8 - 10 people. The hotel it self is very good clean and the grounds are beautiful with lovely walks. The food is good and the bar does have some entertainment on at times. On the downside we have experienced last year and this year the pool attendant Carlos needs to chill out, he had a very negative attitude towards my family last year and this year he was quiet rude to my wife newly married and actually upset her and myself. I decided to let it pass as it was our last day but had a negative impact on our visit. All the other staff are lovely including Steve at breakfast who we did build a good relationship over the years. I appreciate that the pool is for quiet time if a child jumps in they are just having fun so Carols needs to settle himself down as I felt like putting him in the pool on the last day.

I have been extremely impressed by the quality of Quinta do Lago. I stayed there first in April 2024 after prematurely leaving another hotel in the Algarve that I had booked in a rush and that proved to be disappointing. So I booked Quinta do Lago in the morning and showed up there three hours later, expecting that reception staff would not yet be aware of my booking. To my surprise, they were and greeted me with my name as I walked through the door. They were all impeccably dressed and super professional. Guest relations are so helpful and kind as well. The hotel provides a true Grand Hotel feeling, which is very rare these days. The heated outdoor pool is fabulous, I could swim with my eyes open without chlorine biting into my eyes. The pool restaurant as well as the formal restaurant are of outstanding quality. In the morning, breakfast is served on white cotton table cloth in a carpeted area, free of noise and smell, very serene, a delight. Ah and when I left after my first stay, I had spare tokens for the driving range and left them at reception so they could give them to another guest. I had forgotten about them, but when I returned, Fatima, one of the kind receptionists, handed them back to me. So kind and so professional!

We went as a family with an 11year old child. The hotel is 5 star and is definitely worth yhe rating. The standard is high. However the atmosphere is not stiff, the staff are so pleasant and friendly and determined to make our whole family feel comfortable. We were thrilled to be welcomed by a bottle of port and chocolate milkshake in our room with matching dressing robes and one to fit our daughter. Everything was covered. The bed was ready, the towels the correct numbers and turn down treats for everyone each night. The food was exquisite and we went half board worth the cost. The break fast was fresh pastries, cheeses, cereals, hot breakfast with eggs as you like it, fresh juices and sparkling wine! There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, tennis and more. The spa did a massage for my daughter! The location is beautiful in a National park and the beach is 800 m walk in the park. The beach has loungers and towels for the hotel. We enjoyed our time in these stunning surroundings. We are busy professionals in every day life and this treat was what we needed. Thank you to all the staff, we will come again.

We had a terrific stay at this hotel. The pool is nice and heated just enough, and lots of lounge chairs. Lots of sitting area in the hotel as well. Breakfasts were very good with a wide selection, including several custom items available. We were in cottage which was quite big and had a fully equipped kitchen. There are more like small houses than kitchens and would be great for families. The hotel is a little isolated, but everything is in the area. It keeps things quiet, but Ubers and taxis are always very quick and there is a shopping centre very close and lots of close by (not walkable) restaurants. However what really stands out are the staff. From check-in, to breakfast, to poolside to checkout they were all very helpful and friendly. In particular the two Igor's at the front desk always helped me out and answered by continual questions with a smile and good advice. The hotels was very accommodating by accepting our bicycle cases being shipped to them and holding for a month while we cycled to them. The hotel is right on the Eurovelo, but be prepared, Portugal is not flat! Overall a very happy stay in a wonderful part of the country.

Good, basic bed and breakfast hotel, well located for all golf courses and several good restaurants. Standard plus room, ground floor, no terrace to speak of but great air con, very clean, and a good shower. No kettles in the room. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good. The pool area has enough sun beds but very little shade, the plastic grass in some parts very hot to walk on. Pool clean and large. The bar area is adequate, the chairs and tables very basic. Service always good. Lunch and dinner menu extremely limited, this really is a bed and breakfast place. I thought it perfect for us as we played golf on most days, went to a beach bar called the Shack on days that were free and ate out every evening. Uber is great for getting about.

Staff were fabulous. Loved using the bikes. Breakfast was delicious and the selection was great. The pool was always clean, not too noisy and the pool food and drinks were great. The location of the hotel is 10/10. I would 100% return to the Magnolia hotel.

After reading reviews I was really unsure, but I can honestly say one of the best holidays I’ve had. Hotel is clean and really beautiful, rooms are really spacious and clean and have complementary bathroom basics and shampoo and conditioners. Only thing I would say it’s missing is a balcony :( The breakfast is really good lots to choose from and champagne breakfast every morning if you choose till 10am. No balcony’s on the rooms however the roof top bar and pool make up for this in spades a stunning and relaxing hotel . Pool is small but really nice, and only about 13 loungers however you never need to queue in the mornings , it’s really not busy and I was here peak season . Staff are super friendly also and attentive . The hotel is central to everything it’s a step away from every place you could think of to eat and also has amazing views of the harbour . Hotel also has a free bus to the private beach with parasols which is about 15 minutes away and is a great day out. This is a very relaxed and stress free holiday so peaceful and quiet I would definitely recommend and I will be back my new favourite hotel and destination

This hotel is perfectly located with many shops, restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions within walking distance. The rooftop restaurant offers an exceptional view of the marina. Breakfast buffet included in the room rate was excellent - many varieties of cold and hot items. However, the property did not provide any Expedia Gold member perks, aside from the an arrival gift that was listed on my booking. Furthermore, the room was not ready at 14:35 (check-in time is 14:00) and I was not provided with a room until almost 15:00. And the most frustrating part is the hotel closed the pool for maintenance which was not disclosed in the booking nor communicated prior to arrival, as the rooftop pool was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel in a beach town like Faro. They didn't even disclosed this at check-in, all guests were only advised via a letter inside our room (spoke with other guests who expressed the same experience and frustration). Asked for compensation from the front desk supervisor but was told no such policy despite he shared the fact it was closed for 3 days prior to my arrival - my reservation cancelation policy is within 48 hours! Very disappointed!

It has to be said that the location, friendliness of the reception staff and breakfast in this hotel were great. The views from the 4th floor restaurant are amazing and look out over the Faro Marina. It's a short walk from here to the Train Station. Unfortunately the Rooftop Pool as pictured and selling this hotel was closed during my trip which may have changed my mind if known in advance ! Eco Friendly, I don't normally require my room to be cleaned during a weekend trip so simply telling the cleaners is a good idea and asking for anything needed. The Coffee machines at breakfast have paper wrapped wooden stirrers so only usable once creating waste. If they use metal cutlery then metal spoons would remove this issue. I did report some damp / mould issues in the corner of my bathroom. A lot to do with the rooftop pool but certainly needs attention. Would I choose this hotel again, YES I would based on location, service and the breakfast buffet.

You cannot fault this Hotel, right in the middle of Faro with fantastic views from the rooftop Bar. Such a shame that there is so much graffiti in Portugal wherever we have been it is the same. We upgraded to a room with marina views and were impressed, just a shame they do not have balconies over looking the marina. The pool was closed but it did not spoil out visit. We did the sunset boat ride which was great and very informative if we had stayed longer we would have done more trips. We were half board and the food was great, a big thank you to Leonardo Jesus who looked after us along with Humbert and Alexandra. This hotel is lovely, comfy beds, clean rooms and ok bathrooms. Staff really helpful and an excellent breakfast. The location is excellent and the view from the top is the best. We only stayed 2 nights and it is perfect for a mini break. Pool small but ok for a cooling dip, although it was not warm during our visit so it was empty. Spa a bit disappointing. Steam room was not working and sauna not that hot. Room air con was good and a small fridge in the room is good for keeping drinks cool. No tea or coffee in room. The street can get noisy but that’s not the hotels fault and the windows are very good at keeping the noisy to a minimum.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the AP Eva Sense. The good: fantastic location overlooking the marina and with the old town on the door step, the rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes, the bathrooms are clean and modern with nice walk in showers, maid service daily was great, the breakfast is of nice quality and excellent choice, the roof top cocktail bar is lovely and worth a visit for a glass of wine overlooking the marina, the staff were polite and helpful Could be better: the pool area furniture is tired and needs replacing, the pool also needs at least a really good clean, the pool toilets are really poor and need a refit

Loved this hotel ..staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.The location was amazing right in the Marina book a marina view room if possible, the room size was perfect with a large balcony with table and chairs.Bed was comfortable with good pillows and good bed linen very good shower.The breakfast was amazing a huge choice something for everyone and more a lovely touch was a fresh flower presented to the women at breakfast.The pool area was very good only quibble here was the ladders into pool were a bit old and wobbly otherwise a fantastic hotel and would definitely stay again if ever in Faro.Thank you also for the bottle of wine a lovely gesture and much appreciated.

Second time we’ve stayed here and we feel the hotel has improved, we stayed in a marina view room which was worth the extra cost. Room was excellent, great shower and the maids that did the 3rd floor were excellent and our room was always spotless, breakfast was again excellent as was the indoor pool and spa , although we had read that swimming caps were mandatory and had purchased them but everyone else we saw in the pool didn’t have them, if that’s a rule then the hotel should implement that . That was just a minor gripe and didn’t affect our stay, we’ll certainly return in the future

Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful in reception. And very pleasant at pool bar and buffet. Pool bar area very chill. Bedroom was perfect and had balcony with view of marina. Breakfast very good. Would definitely stay again.

I really like this Hotel but there’s lots of things that could make it much better. The staff were not very welcoming on arrival ( maybe having an off day). The pool has debris at one end and no one came around all afternoon to pick up litter and empty plates and glasses. Light fixtures fell down in the cupboard with exposed wires. Plug socket hanging off the wall near the pool area. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a great selection. A bit of care would make a big difference to this Hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would come back again. Nice hotel with decent sized inside and outside pools. Although the hotel was busy, the pools were never crowded and we could always get a sun lounger. We were lucky to get rooms on the 1st floor overlooking the pool with the extra large balconies. Plenty of free parking (suggest use the underground one as our car door got dented when left outside). Friendly staff and decent, cheap meals available poolside during the day. Other than waterpark next door, hotel isn't in walking distance to any beaches etc however they do run a bus service to the Marina at Vilamoura which is pretty with lots of shops and restaurants. We had a rental car which we used a lot. Also nearby is a Praia de Falesia which is a fantastic beach, much larger and nicer than the beach at Albuferia which we visited for a day. Prais de Falesia is much better for kids (sea is calmer) and there is plenty of free parking nearby, however parking is generally overflowing by 10am so get there early. Great having waterpark next door to hotel but minimum height for most rides is 1.2m. For smaller kids there is a very good pool with slides for them (however on our last day we did spot a poo in it!). Opens at 10am but by 11 the queues are ridiculous (30mins min for each slide) which took the shine off it. Also have reptile and birds of prey shows on during the day which was good.

The hotel was great, just what we needed to feed and entertain an 8 yr old and 14 yr old as well as being able to relax. It was modern with all the facilities you would expect but in better condition than you would expect - a big pool, an indoor pool with jacuzzi, pool/air hockey room, clean restaurant for self serve breakfast and all rooms have a balcony. We stayed on a bed & breakfast rate and ordered lunch and dinner round the pool bar a few times. Whilst it's a little cheaper to eat outside the hotel, the menu really catered for fussy children where local restaurants don't so well. Breakfast had a large selection. There's two restaurants within walking distance which are cheaper and nice but not a lot else. We got an uber to Quarteira beach a few times and picked up supplies at a supermarket before getting an uber back. It cost approx €5 each way. Vilamoura was approx €13 and €17 each way in the evening - a must see but can be quite pricey. The airport was €20 each way which was cheaper than the hotel booked transfer (that didn't turn up!) so I'd definitely recommend uber unless you're renting a car. Last but not least, the free entry to Aquashow Park sold this hotel to us initially and definitely didn't disappoint. It is more than your usual water park with a rollercoaster ride, water rides for all ages & some smaller theme park rides. It was fairly quiet when we went (end of May half term) so next to no queues. We went for a few hours each day which was perfect

We stayed as a family of three (2 adults 1 almost 11 year old) for a week (arrived Monday 28 August 2017). Our 2nd floor room was spacious and plenty big enough for a week long stay. The balcony faced the water park, getting the sun first thing and welcome shade in the afternoon. Air conditioning was effective and no charged as an extra fee. We stayed bead and breakfast and although the food was the same each day, we had plenty to eat and the quality was very good. The rooms, dining area and pool were all exceptionally clean (rooms were cleaned daily/fresh towels etc.) There were plenty of sun loungers around the pool and the indoor pool was beautifully warm. Staff ensured the pools were immaculate. Access to the water park was included with our stay and as we had a wristband, we could avoid the long queues entering. The water park has is fantastic and there was plenty for all ages. It was busiest at the weekends but even then, we were able to get loungers and the longest queues were about 30 minutes. Food and drinks on site were typical fast food fayre and priced as you would expect. Many people took their own food and drink along. Lockers are available to rent and easily accessible.

Fabulous stay Pros: - Waterpark is fantastic. - Room cleaning was great and done every day. - Food good quality (especially breakfast). - Staff super friendly. - Children's play areas great (<6 year olds). - Very clean hotel. Cons: - Hotel is fairly small so pool etc small too. - Buffet selection at dinner, whilst tasty was limited, especially for the children. - Whilst this is advertised as a waterpark hotel, it isn't. You have to queue along with the general public a few hundred metres up the road to access the waterpark. - The waterpark queues for the flumes are VERY long. We waited up to 40 minutes for some of them. - Some inconsiderate guests were shouting, screaming and jumping in the pool at almost midnight, the hotel did not stop this. - We had an expensive pair of sunglasses stolen from the side of the pool. Watch your belongings! - Hotel is fairly remote, have to get Ubers to get everywhere, including a supermarket.

Our stay in Hotel Made Inn Faro has been great and we can confirm that all the positive reviews we had seen were truthful. The hotel is 100% clean, new and modern and quiet and we felt very comfortable. While we paid only the most basic room, we were pleasantly surprised that we were given a bigger family room for the three of us (my husband and I and our 2 year old) and really had plenty of space with a separate room from our toddler which was really welcome. At first we were a bit disappointed at the lack of fridge in the room but at the reception they made us aware that we could use the fridge in the dining area which was accessible at anytime so that had solved our problem. The only 2 tiny things to point would be that there was no microwave to use (we were told they had one for staff only) so not the most convenient when you travel with a small child and that the pillows were too hard for our taste (but that is very subjective of course). Perhaps it would be better to provide 2 types of pillows. Location was perfect, although the surrounding area is not the prettiest, it is a 5 minute walk to the very center. Overall a very happy customer and we would stay again for sure.

Made Inn Faro was a brilliant hotel that me and my twin brother stayed in on our three day trip to Faro and it was a great place to explore this fascinating city. Located on R.Maguel Bombarda'this hotel exceeded our expectations and it's a hotel we really enjoyed staying in.It's our 1st time in Faro and we'd just been in Albufeira on a four day break. We chose this hotel as it got great review's and good feed-back.The hotel is in a really rustic area (run-down) but only a couple of minutes to the old town and marina.On our stay here we were allocated (room 06) that was on the ground floor. The room we had was modern with superb twin bed's.The room was spacious and the shower/ bathroom was excellent.When me and my twin brother stayed here we had a breakfast that was 9 euros each which was superb and well worth the money. All in all a brilliant hotel in an excellent city and well worth staying in. (This is my 1st review of the Hotel Made Inn Faro).

Check-in was a breeze,quick and effortless! The reception closes at 11:30 PM, but there’s a handy self-check-in option for late arrivals (we didn’t need it this time). We didn’t book breakfast, so can’t comment on that, but everything else exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic,just a pleasant 10-minute stroll from Faro’s charming old town. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was perfect for what we needed: a comfortable place to rest after exploring. It had everything we could ask for, and the air conditioning was wonderfully powerful on those hot summer days. The entire hotel, including our room, was spotless. A special shoutout to the two lovely receptionists who warmly welcomed us and kindly stored our luggage before our airport departure. They made us feel truly cared for.If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located stay in Faro, this hotel is an absolute winner. Highly recommended!

1st visit to Faro and the hotel we chose to stay in for our visit was Made Inn and I must say our stay here was amazing. The hotel is in a great location, easy access to the main tourist destinations of this city ,hotel is spotlessly clean, we were allocated a room straight away, on the ground floor, a twin bedded room ,flat screen tv, bathroom super clean, we payed extra for a breakfast, breakfast was absolutely delicious, quite a big choice, big shout out to the staff ,lovely and helpful, loved our 3 nights here ,we will most definitely stop here again next time we're in Faro hopefully very soon.

The pool area is very nice and relaxing with a garden area away from the pool to take shade. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of food and I particularly liked the variety of fresh juices. I booked a garden view, and when I spoke to reception to express my disappointment that it was facing the carpark, I was met with a not so considerate response of ‘well there is a garden in the carpark too, if you want the garden view on the pool side of the hotel you will have to upgrade at your own cost’. I didn’t upgrade as I was on the end of the corridor and had a window in my room with a sea view at least. Considering the cost of the hotel per night coupled with the fact that there was no option for ‘carpark garden view’ or ‘pool garden view’ it was only specified as garden view, I feel the response was unjustified. However, for the remainder of my stay the staff were very nice and courteous.

We stayed there for a week , few days around the pool and then few on the beach . Relaxing break where the pool was relaxing with very accommodating staff for your relaxing day and started with a great choice for breakfast for every one's tastes. Tried the bbq eve at hotel and spa food very good but preferred the smaller residence at the garden hotel, but that's our choice.. Great choice of restaurants down at the beach.Izzys beach bar great for food and Julia's for a drink watching the sunset. Courtesy shuttle to beach very prompt and extra helpful if you wanted collecting later in eve. Room was in brand new accommodation overlooking small pool and tennis clubs. Grounds well kept .

Just arrived back after a most pleasant stay at the Ria Park Hotel. All the staff were friendly and most intentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the pool area was surrounded by palm trees and we spent many a relaxing time under them along side of the pool. The only downside, if any, I would suggest hiring a vehicle as it is in a residential area and we had to hire taxis to get to the various places to visit. I would highly recommend the Ria Park Hotel.

The Ria Park Garden is a beautiful, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff who are on call all the time to help and great if you just want to chill out & do nothing. Our room was huge and quiet with lovely power shower, comfy bed and balcony overlooking the well kept luscious green gardens and pool. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of hot and cold food. The pool bar served all drinks and great lunches and the waiter service to your sunbed was a bonus. The free shuttle bus to the beach and back is great (10am-7pm), from there you can walk to Izzie's, Julia's, Eduardo's and Maria's beach bars and restaurants.

This was my second time staying here, as I had such a great experience last time (March 2019) as well. My brother and I stayed from the 15th - 19th ofJuly 2024. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The reception staff, especially Claudia, Alexandra, Rute and Yoao were fantastic! On behalf of my brother and I we really appreciated them. The hotel was lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning. The hotel bar area was a nice place to relax and their was great Wi-Fi coverage. The hotel location is good. It was a 10 minute walk to the marina and town centre. We have recommended this hotel to our family and friends.

My daughter and I are just about to check out of this hotel after a few days away visiting the city. This hotel is a hidden gem! Font be fooled by all the bigger hotels, this hotel is just great. The rooms are quiet, very clean with everything you could want or need. We were in room 305 as Nd had a room only, although food options are available. The staff are friendly and helpful and Claudia goes above and beyond with recommendations, tips, and anything you may need such as extra sugar for our coffees in our room. We would highly recommend this hotel . A great price, easy reach of everything. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would certainly return in the future.

We had 2 nights here and had a great stay. The staff are brilliant. Alexandra helped us before we even arrived as we needed an extra night due to a late flight cancellation. We could not have the same room but she organised another room on short notice and arranged for an extra bed for our daughter. Felipe was also very friendly and helpful during our stay. The suite was really clean and spacious with a nice balcony space. The location is a great base for exploring Faro. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Faro again.

My friend and I came to Faro for a weekend get away. We arrived too early to check in, but the receptionist recommended a great cafe for breakfast and a few places to visit before check in. Upon check in, the room was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a small coffee/bar where in the evening I would have a glass of wine. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Also very close walk down to the marina. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value! 😊 I will be back!

We needed a hotel while we waited for our son to be transferred home to Ireland after a serious car accident. They booked us in for a week, but said that they would refund any unused nights if the transfer came sooner. When things got bogged down with insurance, they offered to extend our stay with a usually unused room if necessary. The hotel was very good, but the staff and management make it outstanding.

This is a hidden gem … we stayed for a week and we loved everything about it!! The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were very luxurious with really comfortable beds. Hotel was immaculate and the pool area was so clean and really comfortable. Close to beach and restaurants and when we needed an uber they were easy to come by. This is our first time staying here but we are already planning a return visit !

This is an absolute gem hidden in quinta do lago, near to everything that the golden triangle has to offer. The boutique hotel is truly 5 star with wonderful tastefully decorated rooms and lovely super helpful staff . It has a lovely outdoor dining area and swimming pool . Wonderful continental breakfast included in the overnight stay. Hot breakfast is also available . I highly recommend Sally and her highly trained devoted staff. I wish I discovered this gem earlier . I will be back

Wonderful warm welcome from the in-house team, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Relaxed chilled atmosphere, staff were discreet yet present, the pool area was attractive and not overcrowded, the room was spacious, the bed so comfortable and the breakfast delicious. I couldn’t fault any of it, they had thought of everything - it was all just lovely. Thank you one and all - I will definitely be back!

The location was great - about 5 mins walk to the train station, restaurants and the shops! The 24 hour reception was brilliant and we were welcomed whatever time of day/evening it was - the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases in a room at reception and go to the beach whilst we were waiting to check in - we were even offered beach towels to take with us! The hotel's reception area was immaculate as was our room. Stayed for 1 night at beginning of our holiday and 1 night at the end of our stay! The first room was overlooking the front of hotel and was a little compact but was fine for 1 nights stay but the room we had at end of our stay was overlooking the court yard and was much bigger and quieter but both were immaculate We had breakfast on the first day which was amazing - the choice was excellent and everything was so fresh and well laid out and we could eat in the breakfast room or out in the court yard - once again ver helpful staff.

Extremally helpful and amazing hotel staff that helped us immediately in difficult situation. Our phone got stuck behind toilet, the manager arranged craftsmen to come early morning and we got the phone back in 15 min. Amazing customer support. It really saved our day and stay. Amazing location, 10 min from Old Town, 3 min from the bus stop from where you can go to the Praia de Faro beach as well as to the airport. 20 min by bus to the beach and 15 to airport. Room interior is simple but it includes all that is needed for a few days stay. Hairdryer, towels, small cosmetics, small desk....all is there. We did not try breakfast but it looked quite well and was at a reasonable price. Hotel has patio, where guests can seat and eat breakfast. Hotel provided free of charge beach towels, which you can exchange each day. You can leave bag in a storage room after check out time and your travel time. 3 min from the hotel there are 2 restaurants serving fresh seafood.

The staff were lovely and helpful, the hotel in the best location for all the sites in the city and restaurants/bars as well. The room was spotless and the breakfast was great value for money. I would definitely stay here again when in Faro. 10/10.

The staff, first of all, was amazing, they were so kind and nice to us I felt very comfy. The room was perfect, with balcony, quiet, beautiful. The hotel is next to the most important parts of the city.

Loved it....the staff were so helpful with local info....breakfast was great and 24hr use of kitchen was a bonus....location was perfect for walking everywhere.....shopping, Old Town, the Marina, boat tours within minutes....easy to navigate....i'm travelling on, but glad i opted to wait until leaving to get a rental car....parking is tight in the area amd because everything is so close, having a car while staying in Faro,would have been a burden to me......i would dedinitely stay here again...and use their airport transport service..i left my handbag in the vehicle when being dropped off, and the driver returned it to me immediately..EVERYTHING important was in it..my passport, $$$....it could have been devastating...sooooo grateful

We loved the Lemon Tree!! Let me first say that the courtyard area is so very charming, complete with a beautiful lemon tree. There is beautiful seating not only for relaxing but for breakfast service as well. Breakfast was incredible. Staff were super friendly. It felt like home. They had information and booked trips and were happy to help with anything at all. There's access to their kitchen too for drinks. The room was brand new and immaculately done. Nice and modern, esp. the bathroom. AC worked well. Our particular room was a little tight but it all worked out and we would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again.

The Lemon Tree Stay is a delightful property fully embracing the lemon tree theme, from the shade of the lemon tree in the courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served, to handmade lemon soap in the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee freely available in a small kitchen with an honesty bar (water, beer, red and white wine, and ice cream). Location in the centre very quiet and a short (10 min or less) walk to the Old Town, harbour, and other tourist attractions. Roof top terrace completed a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

We went into this stay fairly blind, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Let me tell you, we would absolutely stay here again. This place is perfectly appointed, check in was so easy and amazing, and you have anything you need. Be pleasantly prepared to experience Ritz Carlton style service! Vasco the owner is absolutely amazing and truly cares about all his guests. Wonderful, wonderful place. Wish we could have stayed longer. Panda the dog was an added bonus and made us feel right at home. Thank you, Lemon Tree Stay!!!

The hotel itself was nice, we enjoyed the artistic, tasteful design, and of course the lemon tree. But BY FAR the best thing was the staff. They were absolutely phenomenal, throughout the entire booking process, and stay. They were super quick and thorough with there email responses to all my questions. They made sure everything was taken care of, from start to finish, and made us feel extremely comfortable, well looked after. Couldn't recommend this place more highly! Boutique hotel with pool and walking distance to Faro airport! I highly recommend this hotel for an early flight or overnight layover! The pool area and big luggage lockers are definitely a plus!

Although only stayed for one night after we arrived late it was lovely and close to the airport which was lovely and convenient. The rooms was also really nice and modern. Being that we were only down the road from the airport, it was a very quiet and peaceful night as you could not hear any plans coming or departing while the door to the balcony was closed. Can’t comment on the facilities as we didn’t use them but we did see the swimming pool as we left in the morning. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again for the convenience and comfort.

The location. Of this property is perfect for an over night stay before an early flight or a late flight arriving. It’s very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. It’s only a 10 minute walk .The room we had was fine and spacious , very clean and comfortable . We also had a very big balcony which was nice. As we only stayed the one night we didn use the pool or have brekkie the following morning so can’t comment on those. However I will say the staff were very very friendly and welcoming .

I booked this for 1 night as I was waiting for friends to arrive the next day as all coming from different destinations. We had a 2-bedroom apartment which was beautiful and spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea and a patio area with a garden. We had a cleaning service everyday which was great. We had a separate bathroom with a powerful shower and an en-suite with a jacuzzi bath. Location was brilliant with lots of great restaurants within walking distance and we were beside the Rio de Formosa and the beach which had a great running/ walking route which was perfect for us as we are currently training for a half marathon. Pool area was great with an on-site restaurant where there was a great selection and the owner/manager was such a nice man. Service was excellent.

The nicest place that we have stayed at... Very clean... stunning apartment... like brand new... We left every morning for a lovely walk on the beach, and when we arrived back to the apartment, our beds were made, and the apartment was immaculately clean again.. The reception staff were very friendly.. Both the swimming pools were stunning and very clean also. We are definitely going back again...

The restaurant had silver service, white linen tablecloths, indoor and out door seating. Also a superb range of interesting alcoholic beverages reasonably priced. Juan was most helpful and friendly. Our room was airy and large with super big bed and Fabulous power shower large bathroom. I could not fault it and location was just perfect beside old town, shopping district, restaurant street, Port with ferry to Faro Beach and 10 euro taxi from Airport. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely boutique hotel located on the right hand side of the Hotel Faro walk up the pedestrian area for 1 min hotel on right. Very large comfortable bed and pillows( extra ones available). Sea view with lovely small balcony (304 Great room ).Double wardrobes, desk TV free safe nice lighting.Seperate modern shower room plus sink/toilet .Free safe. Lift offers great accessibility for small boutique hotel. Great staff Tiago was very helpful. Best location next to shops resteraunts etc next to Hotel Faro( which has lovely rooftop bar to watch sunset) and great value for money .Will definitely return . Only negative is issues with wifi.

What an absolutely lovely hotel, nestled away right on the harbour front ideal location with fantastic/attentive staff. Hotel was lovely and clean, bedding/towels changed every day. We had breakfast one morning and was great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and most certainly would book again upon future visit to this lovely city. Thank you team Aqua Ria for a great stay.

The location is very central. The staff were efficient and very helpful. We arrived very early and with alot of luggage, the hotel stored it in their storeroom so we could go off and enjoy ourselves. We were thrilled because they didn't have to do that. The breakfast is lovely too.

The hotel was clean and the room we stayed in was a great size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The walk to the ferry for the beach was only a few minutes. Great stay and would recommend.

We ended up at the Faro Boutique Hotel after being unable to land in Madeira and being dropped in Faro. It was short notice, trying to find something as we were getting off the plane and somewhere that could take 12 of us. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was ok. The rooftop bar was amazing, so peaceful and perfect for lying in the sun with a cold beer, there’s no pool though. They had a rooftop festival in Faro that weekend, with lots of rooftop bars taking part. Our bar had Jazz and Blues music and we got the chance to take part in building up a song from nothing. It was my favourite part of the break. Faro centre itself isn’t amazing but this hotel and location are a perfect starting point to all the trips on offer. There was a self service continental breakfast, which was more than adequate and the rooms were cleaned every day. If I ever go back to Faro I would stay here again.

The best thing about this hotel was the kindness of the staff. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and did all they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I had an issue with my room which had a loud humming noise which would have kept me awake. The manager, Ricardo, was very kind and understanding and moved me to another room where there was no humming. For people who don't sleep well, you would ideally ask for a room away from the lift and stairwell as this area could be noisy with slamming doors, people talking, lift going up and down, but away from the stairwell it was quiet. The room was cleaned daily by super kind and friendly people and the people serving breakfast were super helpful too. The breakfast was very nice - as described by others - cereal, bread, cheese, yoghurts, fruit, tea and coffee. It was also possible to book a massage as there is a woman who visits the hotel to offer this service in one of the rooms, which was divine. Just what we needed to help us wind down into the holiday. The location is within 10 minutes walk of all the main areas in the town - marina/ferry departure, cathedral, museums, bars, restaurants. You can get a ferry to Faro beach for 4 euros return and it goes every hour or so (more frequently as the season picks up). We also did a boat trip with Lands Eco Boat Tours, around the local nature reserve which is highly recommended. This isn't a luxury hotel but for the price it is worthy of 5 stars!

I'd like to share my experience at the hotel. The hotel itself was luxurious and had a fantastic location. The breakfast was delicious. However, when I checked in, I had booked a single room with a single/queen bed and requested a higher floor. Unfortunately, I was given a room with two full-size beds on the first floor overlooking the courtyard. When I asked if I had received the room I requested, the young lady at the front desk indicated yes but failed to disclose the room type until she activated the keys. I was displeased about this, but since I was only staying for one night, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. On a positive note, the Bellman João was fantastic and super helpful. The morning crew during check-out was also very helpful and sweet. One issue I encountered was that navigating the spa and the gym was quite difficult as there were no signs to guide the direction. I hope the hotel management considers adding signs to make it easier for customers.

The hotel checked every box we had when looking to book our Faro stay. Location is within walking distance from town center and the best places to visit, both bus and train station as well as bars and restaurants. Room was clean and we loved the fact that we had a coffee machine with a couple of coffee pods. There is also a coffee lounge near reception, prices are ridiculously cheap - €1 euro for a black americano and €0.8 for an espresso. Not to mention that the coffee was somewhat better than the ones we had out. Ricardo and the team have been incredibly helpful and we would like to once again thank them for making our stay so pleasant.

I moved to this hotel to be near Faro hospital where my husband was admitted into following a bleed on his brain. Up until checking into this hotel my holiday was very stressful but the excellent staff here were like family and looked after me so well. They went over and above to make my stay with them as comfortable as possible. The room facilities were excellent everything you need. Breakfast was very nice fresh produce. The small indoor pool was a treat for our grandson but sadly the weather was not great to use the outdoor pool and its facilities. Perched high on a south facing hill, it will be amazing in the summer with breathtaking views from the pool area. The rooms were super clean, well specified. No complaints at all, Highly recommended for its facilities, finish and setting.

Wonderful stay at the gorgeous former Palace. The bedrooms were quiet and spacious, the rooms in the Palace areas are so stunning and beautiful that it was a real treat. Delicious breakfast with beautiful views in their garden and lovely kittens purring around. The pool area is great for relaxing, with gym, indoor pool, outdoor pool and sauna. It was a great relaxing break before catching a flight from faro - which is only 15 min drive away.

We remember this palace in ruins and what a great surprise to see it come alive ! Beautiful common rooms and pool area to sit and relax taking in the view ! Like a museum full of history. Reception is in the chapel and we were greeted by Nuno who was very friendly and helpful. Irs an impressive setting and reminded us a bit of Palacio Freixo up north. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was large and minimalist in decor . Castebel toiletries in room, fridge but no iron. Kettles available upon request. Breakfast was varied and self service with plenty of areas to sit. We had lunch one day which was very good and snacked at the pool. We even took in some Spa treatments with the magic hands of Ines ! Overall a great and confortable stay . Housekeeping was very kind but appeared to need more help. Bottled water provided for the road which was a nice touch. Central location to tour the Algarve. Shout outs to all the staff that we met. You were all so nice.:-).

The pousada is a beautiful space. Wonderful service and kind service. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Indoor pool was great for the kids. Didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor pool because it was March and weather was still cool. 5 out of 5 experience.

Beautiful property. Extensive breakfast; should be something for everyone. Well maintained. The indoor casual (non-dining) areas are part of the original palace and you can roam around freely and sit while enjoying the space. The hotel rooms are modern, well equipped and very spacious - they have a closed off balcony. There is no access to the outdoor gardens from the room. The gardens directly in the front of the palace and around the columns are accessible. There is no access to what looks like an Orangery and the areas where the very large fountain(?) is located. The gate to the garden is also locked so access is through the hotel. We went in Feb so did you use the outdoor pool. The indoor pool is nice, the steam room takes about 10 mins to get going and the sauna takes 1 hour to reach maximum heat. You let them know at the spa and they turn them on. Parking was included and easy to access from rooms. Stayed for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our time there. Peaceful. Would have loved to be able to wander to the other section over the walkway as we love green spaces.

I would highly recommend this location even though it is a ways away from downtown. But if you're able to walk about 4 miles each way you can get there without having to pay a cab. The pool is clean and the breakfast were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend going to this location if you're visiting Faro.

Very happy with our stay at the Hotel Monaco. A short drive to the lovely old town of Faro and within walking distance to local bars and restaurants. All members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Excellent unlimited continental breakfast served till eleven and convenient checkout of midday. Parking outside the hotel. Bar and restaurant available from half three till half eleven. Swimming pool and garden area a big plus. Very handy for the airport.

From the booking in day to the departure day all the staff were excellent and very helpful. The family size room was spacious and clean, the swimming pool was superb even though the water temperature was cold, the pool was not advertised as "Heated" and therefore it was what I expected during October. The menu was a little limited on occasions and repeated on some days, the food however was always well presented and for a three-star hotel, was most acceptable.

Can't thank the Staff enough for accommodating us with an early check-in (normally 16:00hrs local time) Breakfast was of good quality and a choice of hot or cold buffet as well as cereals, breads and pastries. All Staff within the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If we had one negative - and this would be us being hyper critical - it would be the ensuite. It's a little tight. The shower door in the en-suite didn't close properly and the floor became a small pond when showering. The space between the shower cubicle and vanity unit is a bit tight for the toilet. However, as two small people, we managed fine. The Hotel itself is very central and the longer we stayed, the more convienient we realised it was for getting around Faro, being within walking distance to the bus station, train station and the marina.

It's very good place I travel alone so I quiet night sleep top of my list.Its great position in the city handy for marina city centre, the only thing I didn't like was the shower over the bath.Now I explain as an arthritic over 70 I can't stand on one leg to climb over the bath tub as I would fall over so some grab rails would have helped, I know someone will tut tut but slipping up on wet tiles and spending the night on the wet floor, I said earlier I travel alone.Apart from that excellent place to stay and the staff very friendly so three wupps wup wup wup

The hotel's tagline written everywhere is "just what you need" and that about sums it up - basic place, nothing more, nothing less. Great location by the old town. The first room was small and the A/C was very loud, I mentioned it to the concierge and he immediately gave me a new room (that was a bit bigger too which was nice). This type of quick customer-focused decision making by staff is not something you see all the time in hotels. Clean place, not new or deluxe. Wouldn't want to spend tons of time here, but perfect for a night.

Very good hotel in central Faro.Im less able to walk a long way after my accident, so this was great I didn't bring my walking frame just my walking stick and as the hotel is on the prescient a steady walk was okay.the city centre is lovely open until 9-10 pm lots of designers shopping.The out of town shopping centre forum Algarve as emptied the town as it always does.One of my favourites cafés 100 small sandwich yes building yourself a lunch/dinner.Its tapas with 100mm baguette various sausages chicken and chocolate Bueno Yee HAA wupwup

We booked our hotel through Love Holiday and we stayed for 3 nights. We received a lovely welcome from staff on arrival and were quickly checked in. The room was on the fifth floor with its own terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable and a king size. Plenty of pillows. The bathroom had a large warm shower with toiletries and hairdryer available. There were coffee and tea making facilities There was air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was excellent with a fantastic selection of hot and cold food buffet style. The hotel is ideally located for all attractions Faro has to offer

WOW! What a gem of a place! Booked a 5 day trip to Faro as we got a great deal in this Hotel. 5 min from airport. On arrival it looks a bit run down but when you step inside it's like a classic Portuguese dream! I loved it. Beautiful old fashioned Portuguese artifacts everywhere. We had the superior room with sea facing balcony. Beautiful immaculate clean large spacious room. Lots of lovely extras like fresh fruit, toiletries ect. Very charming. 1 minute walk to the most enormous stunning Golden beach ( which was empty!). 2 little beach restaurants which were both busy but not overly. We ate dinner I'm hotel which was fabulous. Lamb chops and steak were fabulous. Unfortunately on our 3rd day a storm hit! Was really exciting to watch the size of the waves become enormous. Because this is a small beach resort there is nothing to do apart from go to beach we decided to move into the city to a hotel with an indoor spa just to make the most of our r@r. Had it been good weather I would have spent all week here. Very reasonable priced and lovely professional staff. Thank you for our stay!

We have been going to this hotel since 2004, and have never been disappointed, or had cause to complain. In our opinion, this hotel is perfectly located: get off the plane, onto a bus or in a taxi, and head for the beach. 5 minutes later, you are at the hotel. The taxi costs approximately 10 euros. It's also a short walk to the ferry, which takes you across the rio formosa to the town centre. The ferry runs approximately every 30 minutes and a return fare is 3.75 euros. The hotel itself is clean, friendly, excellent value and the food is extremely good, although I found the dessert portion to be too large for me. The only issue on this visit was that there was building work taking place on the bridge near the hotel. Had we known about this, we would have packed earplugs. Not the fault of the hotel though, and we will definitely be back.

We stayed here for two nights, one at the beginning and one at the end of our holiday. The location is great for the airport only about 5 mins by car or you can get the 16 bus. The hotel looks a bit dated but has a certain charm which I liked. It is kept clean and the rooms were comfortable and had everything you would expect, all with sea or river views. The best part of the hotel is the bar/cafe/restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, pastries, breads and hot eggs, bacon, beans and sausages. Bar open all day for snacks and drinks (Super Bock on tap, served in cold glasses). Dinner in the evening was great value, lovely fresh fish. To top it all off the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and professional. Many larger hotels should come here and take notes. We will definitely return to this hotel if only for the fatias douradas.

The hotel is old but has a character to it. The staff on the front desk were wonderful and super friendly. A platter of fruit and a large bottle of water were provided on arrival. Tea abd coffee making facilities in the room. No lift but only 2 floors. Rooms were dated but spacious and comfortable. There was a balcony overlooking the lagoon which was very relaxing. I would avoid dinner here, there are plenty of better options nearby. The breakfast, however, is wonderful and plentiful. The rooms can be noisy in the evening from the resident band and singer (awful) but it finishes at 11pm. I would stay again if I was jn the area. Convenient for the airport and Uber cost about €6 each way.

The whole team in this hotel were exceptional under the extraordinary circumstances of the power outage . Our flights were cancelled and we needed a place to stay and this team went above and beyond. On arrival, enormous confusion , no computers, no electricity but we were looked after with kindness and care at the reception, helped up the stairs with our bags and had an amazing meal (still not sure how they did that)! In a very stressful situation, this hotel provided a haven and the team provided the care with compassion, humour and real humanity!

The hotel is great, the staff very nice. There is private parking, but we always found a free parking spot on the street in front of the hotel. The breakfast is good as well for the price. Faro Old town and Marina are very close, in a walking distance. There is a great restaurant nearby called "Chefe Branco".

Such an amazing location, just a few minutes to get to old town and close to shopping centre too and beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Solo female traveller and always felt safe around the area and coming back late. Bedroom was old but spotless, so good for the price!

The staff were very helpful. We arrived late after midnight. Fortunately, the bar stayed open until 1 am. And the staff served drinks and helped organise an Uber delivery. We have stayed in the Alnacir before and were pleased to observe the same excellent standard.

Hotel Alnacir is clean, well maintained and has friendly staff. The breakfast is good and it is excellent value for money all around. Also it is only a very short walk away from the marina/centre of Faro.

We had a great few days at Ria Park. We had a family room which was two large bedrooms with an interconnecting door. They were smart, clean and there was ample space for the 4 of us! We absolutely loved the large pool area surrounded by palm trees and the kids enjoyed the smaller kiddie pool while we watched them from the sun beds. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the team round the pool! Can vouch the cocktails and lunch bits are yummy and the breakfast bits are amazing!! The outside seating area for breakfast was beautiful and there was so much choice we couldn't try it all, although we tried - the bubbly is a nice touch as well. The local area, goes without saying is a bit special with endless restaurants and beaches to try. And the uber service is cheap, easy and quick way to get around, think it was roughly £20 from the airport! We had such a good time we are coming back for a few nights in August. Thank you for a lovely holiday :-)

Checked in to ria park as a last minute booking following a nightmare end of our holiday (in a local apartment) where my youngest son and I were unable to go home as planned with the rest of our family. We had stayed a night before we arrived at Ria park in another local 5 star hotel and had a terrible experience there. From the moment we walked in to the ria park we were made to feel so safe and welcome. The room we were given was perfect, we ordered room service and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is so clean. We received a lovely welcome tray with some treats for my son and fresh fruit and waters. The air con was perfect, great tea and coffee facilities. Maid service so efficient. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but was clean and lovely, lots of loungers available. We were able to get a late check out which I was extremely grateful for after a difficult week and an evening flight. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of offer and we ate lunch at the pool bar. Brilliant selection, I was particularly impressed as I was able to get a vegetarian soja bolognaise. It’s in a great location for lovely restaurants and days out. I’m so pleased we stumbled across this hotel and will be booking to stay here next year. A special mention to Marta on reception. The was just the most kind and lovely person. So helpful. Thank you!

We really enjoyed Ria Park. The hotel and its grounds were attractive, well presented and lushly landscaped. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet, as mentioned in many other reviews, was substantial, nicely presented, offered great variety and was delicious. Service at breakfast was very efficient and friendly too. We particularly enjoyed the pool which was clean, lovely, surrounded by lush planting and was actually long enough in one section for lap swimming (an added bonus for a swimmer!). As it was still the shoulder season, the pool was not over-run with young children so a nice balance between adults and young families. The only suggestion I might make - and it's a minor one - is that when the hotel is not fully booked, and there is availability of superior rooms, guests could be offered upgrades when available. I've travelled a lot and this is a common practice in some countries - it doesn't really cost the hotel anything and it makes the customer feel like a VIP and might just make them feel even more positive feelings about the hotel experience and more likely to return. Just an idea, particularly for quieter time periods. This hotel is also very close to the Vale Do Lobo tennis valley so handy for tennis players and is a short 10 min. walk (or an even shorter drive; though beach parking in peak season could be pretty tricky) to the beach and good beach restaurants.

Only stayed for a short break. The rooms are spacious and are cleaned daily. The beds are probably the most comfortable you’ll ever sleep in. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds close to the pool or in a shaded garden area. There is one thing you notice around this hotel is the wonderful smell, probably from the complimentary Molten Brown toiletries. The from reception to the housekeepers the staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay but a little on the expensive side.

Overall a very nice stay in a classic contemporary hotel. Rooms very nice & spent a lovely few hours by the pool which was well maintained with comfortable beds & quality towels. Restaurant by pool was also a treat with white linen & experienced waiters. Piano being played in reception was an added feature.

If what you are looking for is an absolute break from anything and everything stressed and hurried Colina Verde is the place for you. Sufficiently separated from cities to be free from contemporary clutter yet close enough to Faro airport (Half an hour by car) and Olhao (15 to 20 mins) to provide convenience yet peace and quiet. Photographs on line are faithful to experience.All rooms are well air conditioned. Kitchens provide pretty much all one might need. The pool is a dream and the staff are an absolute delight. I imagine the Portuguese might like an attempt made at their language but that said ALL reception staff, speak excellent English and take customer care to unparalled levels. You won't find English speaking T.V. channels BUT why would one want to be suck inside a room when the grounds,pool and environment are simply so marvellous?

This room was exactly what we needed for the type of traveling we do. 2 twin beds, a private bathroom, simple amenities. A place to come home to at the end of a long day of walking and sight seeing. We didn't encounter any issues. Staff was really friendly. Check in and checkout was smooth. Amazing value. Close to everything (5-10 min walk or less to everything)

The hotel was a stopover and had everything we needed to stay the night. A little dated and the bathrooms are old but clean. Beds are very firm. We didn’t have the breakfast that opens at 8am. We had AC and tv and would stay here again. We were able to get a bolt to the airport right outside.

This was a stop over hotel for us as we were traveling to Lisbon in the morning after a late flight into Faro. Nice hotel was nice and easy to find. Good hotel for a drop off & longer stays. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious

Having booked our holiday we noticed that the hotel was being offered on a golf holiday website, and frankly this hotel is ideal for groups of golfers on short breaks. Although the hotel is "very nice" I would not recommend it for a family or "couples" holiday as we were surrounded by groups of noisy Jack Nicklaus wannabes at mealtimes and late evening. Apartments are well appointed with most, if not all required equipment, good furnishings and plenty of storage space. The view over the pool from our balcony was pleasing although building orientation did not allow sun to penetrate the balcony area at any time during the day. Balcony just wide enough to accommodate chairs and table only. Would not have been happy, however, if I had been allocated a ground or first floor room within yards of the car park! Good points; nice pool and surroundings and plenty of pool beds; good breakfast although cramped dining area when golfers gathered together, nice outdoor dining space; helpful, knowledgable staff throughout hotel. Downside; the quality of the beds, OK if one had ingested enough liquid anaesthetic at night but not for my elderly back resulting in 5 days broken, painful, sleep. Some nice restaurants in the locality and beach bars/restaurants are all very good but only accessible with a car. Good spa but no other distractions or entertainment. Overall an adequate short break holiday with nothing overtly detrimental, but would not return unless it was a for a golfing break.

Young couple who are very familiar with the area having spent every year in summer here, first time to Formosa hotel and have to say this is an an louts gem of a hotel!! The breakfast was brilliant and pool was sunny all day and quiet all day always had beds free no pool bed games!! Stunning location and stunning hotel!! Loved our stay!

Couldn't fault this hotel. Big, modern rooms. Clean and well equipped. Good pool, helpful staff and great breakfast. Not for party animals and a car is a necessity if you aren't looking for a beach / pool holiday.

Great base for Algarve "Golden Triangle". Excellent location close to Quinta "Square" and the Formosa beach. Comfortable clean hotel with adequate lounge and kitchen facilities. Large pool. plenty of sun loungers. Speedy check in with pleasant efficient reception staff. Excellent breakfast. Advise asking for room on first or second floor with pool view (ground floor can be gloomy and lack of privacy). Definitely need a hire car here. Overall recommended for families and couples using it as a base for travel to golf and nearby resorts.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the hotel. The location is really great being very close to the beach and not too far from the shops. We did hire a car so we could go to some of our favourite locations and there were always plenty of spaces. We were given a room very near to the swimming pool which was very convenient for the children. The rooms are very clean although slightly dated but the kitchen was well equipped. There were always plenty of free sunbeds and parasols throughout the day which takes away a lot of stress and means you can totally relax. The buffet breakfast was very good offering lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times which is very good value for money and the service and food was excellent. We were very lucky that we arrived early and our room was ready which meant we got to maximise the time we were there and our holiday got off to a great staff. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and I'm sure we will be returning. All in all a wonderful stay.

We have stayed here before. Extremely easy to find from Faro airport. (Between airport and town.). Very nice grounds, outside area with pool and seating area. Also area to have drinks, enjoy breakfast. Breakfast good. WiFi good. Rooms are like a usual Ibis however slightly bigger and certainly larger bathrooms. Could be seen as expensive for what it is. However for us everything worked well and provided an easy start to our trip to Portugal.

A lovely small hotel with just a little bit of everything to make your stay comfortable. Great early morning breakfast served at 4 am which is so very appropriate for those having early flights. Shuttle service was very prompt and in close proximity to the airport. Priced very reasonable. Some tell me they walked to a mall very close by. Friendly welcome on arrival, stayed for 5 nights , great stay in a small friendly hotel. Room with air con serviced daily if required.good choice for breakfast served till 12 daily. Nice pool area , 24 gr bar and food ( although food only seemed like microwave meals) Only downside of hotel was there is nothing else in the area,good thing Ubers were very near all the time . I am perplexed by some of the comments left on here especially regarding the pool and pool area being filthy. We stayed at The Dona Filipa and as a very fussy person I can assure you that the hotel and pool area were spotless. There was a young women everyday cleaning the shower area around the pool and I certainly did not see any black grime. There were more than enough sun beds and Edi a young man working at the beach bar was always on hand to help, especially putting up the sun umbrella which I struggled with without me asking. Any glasses use by our sunbed or plates from lunch were quickly taken away. As for the breakfast not having a great choice I wonder what people eat at home! There was a massive selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts , freshly made omelettes to your choice plus cooked breakfast, breads and juices all beautifully displayed. My husband and I commented on the service we received from everyone we encountered. Our room as you would expect was spotless with a lovely bathroom and with the hotel a five minute walk from the hotels beach it was a lovely break for us and we will be back.

First impressions on entering reception at the Dona Filipa were very good and staff were welcoming. We had a premium room on the 4 th floor which was really nice, spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and had a nice big shower. Good sized balcony but not a great view, although you could see the sea in the distance our main view was of the roof ! We were b and b and the breakfast was really lovely. Not a massive choice but it had something for everyone and nice quality. The omelettes, mushrooms and English bacon were lovely! Staff were very good, cleared pots away reasonably quickly and were quick bringing out multiple double espresso’s for my husband (which he said were good!) The only issue we had at breakfast was a load on ants crawling across the honeycomb. My husband pointed it out to one of the staff and nothing was done about it. I later also told a member of staff and the following day the honeycomb was ant free but there were ants on the side near the honey and jams. The pool was a good size albeit very cold…and I thought it was meant to be heated? Didn’t stop me from going in though! The decking around the pool needs a bit of attention with several loose boards. The pool bar was good and we found the staff in the main to be very friendly. The WiFi especially around the pool wasn’t great. The hotel is in an excellent location and we had a very enjoyable stay and we would return.

A nice hotel, typically expensive, but understaffed, particularly around the pool and it’s part of the beach, which meant too much rubbish left by sunbeds (beach and pool) and around the pool itself. The pool was oddly warm (heated!), which offered no relief from the heat. The rooms, however, were very nice and well proportioned. The breakfast offering was good, with a chef offering eggs and omelettes made to order. The massage I had at the spa was not good. This hotel is under recent new ownership, and a nominal refurb, and it feels as though service is being reduced to maximise profits. Overall, a nice stay, though, and so convenient for access to the beach.

We stayed in a Premium Room with Golf/Sea view, that had a massive and very comfortable bed and pillows. Room had everything you would expect for a 5 star hotel (including the best robes we've ever had). Bathroom had a separate bath and rainfall shower. Housekeeping were brilliant, towels being refreshed after their evening usage during the nightly turndown service. Breakfast was superb, good choice of everything with eggs cooked to order and a choice of bacon styles as well as good fruits and nut selection plus the normal pastries (including of course Pastel De Nata), cereals and cold meats/cheeses and much more. Hotel bar also a good place to spend time (and with competitively priced Portuguese beer). Pool area also done very well with well maintained beds and mattresses with pillows, but be warned the pool is not heated so a little bracing during our late April stay and the pool bar food offerings are a little limited.

Lots of positives but for the price this hotel need to up their game to compete with other 5 star hotels. Maybe they don’t feel the need to as they have a monopoly in the area being the only hotel? Positives include the location - great views and right next to the beach and an array of restaurants/ bars. I’ve stayed in both the modern and classic/ outdated rooms - both are spacious but aesthetically the modern ones much nicer. A big negative is the noisy air con units. So noisy we had to turn them off to be able to sleep but then the room got too warm and stuffy. The staff around the pool bar are inexperienced and a little slow. Didn’t seem to notice when things needed clearing away etc They seem like they need some training. The pool is a good size and temperature with plenty of sun beds. The decking around the pool was old and worn with loose boards which was potentially dangerous. I would return for the location and spacious rooms and bathrooms but do think the place needs a bit of attention and a revamp in places. Either that or reduce the price.
