Hotels with Swim-up Rooms in Sayulita

We booked a suite which came with our own concierge contact, Ximena. This was the nicest and most amazing experience. Ximena meet every request from reservations, to booking cabanas, ride service to town, airport and so much more. She was a true gem that made our trip the best and made everything so easy! Alex our main waiter at the pool was so fun and brought us everything we needed all day. All the staff from the guys at the valet area, staff at breakfast, check in, etc. we never encountered one member of staff who was not friendly or helpful. We celebrated 2 birthdays and this must have been noted, as we were treated with many birthday surprises during our stay! Many cute beach side restaurants close by if you like to venture out of the resort to eat a few nights. Mesquite dinner by the beach was our favorite meal at the resort. We went as couples without kids. This is definitely a resort with a mix of families with all age kids. They do have an adult pool that sits up higher than the family pool with a swim up bar, but the breeze did not make it up to the adult pool as it was super hot and the family pool down below seemed to be cooler. It was not overly crowded. I could use some little music playing at the pool as it was a little quite. July was very hot, and the pool was not super cool as a result, that’s the only complaint I have. We loved Punta Mita, the beauty, the beach, but may choose a cooler month our next trip.

We recently spent a week at the Conrad Resort in Punta Mita with our family of four, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The property is stunning—immaculately landscaped, beautiful pools, and breathtaking ocean views that made every day feel like a postcard.   Our 2-bedroom suite was spacious, modern, and comfortable, with a large balcony and plunge pool. Housekeeping was consistent and always restocking water bottles and other supplies. There were several restaurants on-site offering everything from traditional Mexican dishes to international cuisine. The breakfast buffet was our favorite with fresh fruit, made-to-order omelets, tacos, and local pastries. Service was exceptional. Whether it was at the restaurant, bar, or pool they were there to service you. Special thanks to our personal butler (Daniella) for her excellent service and hospitality. She was a joy to be around.   Overall, we would absolutely return! The warmth of the staff, the family-friendly atmosphere, and the sheer beauty of the location made it a vacation to remember.   A big thanks to Heather and the team at Perfect Landing Travel for helping plan such a memorable family vacation.

Incredible stay. Traveled with wife , 5 and 7 year old kids. We stayed in the beachfront casa with private plunge pool. Absolutely worth it. Just amazing sunsets in the privacy of our own pool. The views and amenities, I cannot say enough good things about this place. Kids loved it. Kids ate for free throughout our stay, even when ordering room service. Breakfast buffet was also included for adults because we stayed in a suite. The staff really makes this place great. They do everything to treat you like royalty. I can’t say enough about how hard the staff works to make your stay incredible. Our room also included a small appetizer and an ice bucket with 2 coronitas around sunset time, everyday. I mean, it just doesn’t get better. We loved it here. We had never been here and we absolutely fell in love with this place. We cannot wait to go back.

We had an amazing stay at the Conrad Punta de Mita! The resort is super family-friendly with great activities for kids, and the service for families was phenomenal—everyone was so kind to our children, which made the trip even more special. Big shoutout to Jesus and Ricardo at the pool—they took great care of us every day. Jimena, our butler, was fantastic—very responsive and helpful with planning. Our King Suite with a plunge pool was beautiful and relaxing (though the furniture could use a refresh). The tasting menu at Codex and table-side salsa at Arbol were highlights, and the Fourth of July “Taste of Latin America” celebration was a blast. Can’t wait to return!

We just returned from our second stay at Conrad Punta de Mita and it was just as amazing as we remembered. The property is stunning, but what keeps bringing us back is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Even though it’s a large resort, everything feels close—especially the pool areas, which we love. There are three main pool sections: one for families with kids, an infinity pool, and an adult-only area, so you can choose the vibe you’re looking for. The beach is beautiful, and right now the ocean is warm and inviting. The pool water is also nicely heated, and the jacuzzi is a great bonus. The food options are solid. We tried the chilaquiles with mole at breakfast (recommended by Rodolfo) and they were delicious. As always, Francisco and Edgar provided outstanding service at El Mezquite. Our room was spotless with a breathtaking view—huge thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping it so cozy and fresh throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Breakfast was great. Staff was great. It was very relaxing. Not a lot to do but if you just want to eat, sleep and read this was the best place to do that!

This is a beautiful property and the staff is amazing. Just do not expect if you are all inclusive to have a bar in your room or beers, pops and water brought to you even if you ask. Also the food is mediocre at best. No buffet just 3 options for dinners but the views are amazing. The beach bar and food is the best by far. Definitely get a villa with the private pool you will not hate it at all.

This hotel was just what I was looking for for a 5 night get away. Quiet, out of the way, great food and most of all, the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever encountered in an all-inclusive. Although not for every vacationer, I enjoyed the low occupancy, enabling us to socialize with other couples without the endless noisy activities of other resorts. This is not a beach resort; but the beach is accessible by a 3x/day shuttle. No evening entertainment, no volleyball, no shuffleboard. The resort is built into the jungle hillside, with a beautiful nature walk, birds, and butterflies. No bugs, scorpions, or geekos. Two resident cats kept that all under control! The staff was delightful. A special shout-out to Jimmy at the bar, who kept us well hydrated and stuffed with snacks! The head waiter, Roelf, was a delight and Natalia made the best flaming Mexican coffee ever! Note that although they provide transport by golf cart from your room to the pool/restaurants, people with mobility issues will have difficulty getting around due to steep walkways and steps to the pool area.

The resort is beautiful. Our room was gorgeous. The view was amazing. We saw lots of birds. The pools were amazing. The staff was amazing. Lots of staff to mention- Roberto, Gustavo, both of the Jesus’! The shuttle to the beach resort was timely and easy to catch! The things I wish they had- a schedule for sinners so that you can plan your meals. Not all restaurants were open every night. We ate Italian 2x because that’s all they had. I also wish they had a lobby bar- would be nice to have a drink while waiting for a shuttle or a cab. I’d also like to see a gift shop- for some snacks or Tanning supplies, or Tylenol. Overall, I think this resort is beautiful with beautiful pools, friendly staff, and amazing views.

I love the jungle property, it is so relaxing. When we stayed the resort was almost empty, so we felt like very special guests. I love waking up to the sound of the birds every morning. The dinners were excellent, and we had top notch service from the staff. Front desk, shuttle drivers, and the regular bartender at the Sky Bar were all excellent. Renee was especially gracious and made sure we were having a good time. Our room was cleaned and restocked every day. We spent our days on the beach where the food is exceptional and the service outstanding. Margarito made sure we were never without food and drink. The beach a La Cruz is the most beautiful in the area. Its not crowded and the water warm and clear- perfect for swimming. The property could use some fixing up and I was dissapointed that the mineral pool was not as warm as years past. However under new ownership it sounds like good things are in the works. This was my third visit and am looking forward to returning next year.

The property was well looked after and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The food and drinks were fantastic. The property felt extremely safe. I would highly recommend this property to groups looking for a relaxing vacation. There was no fighting over pool loungers or long waits for restaurants like I've experienced at other resorts. A couple of minor drawbacks: poor wifi reception, many of the listed amenities were not available during our stay, no room service available, and having to shuttle between buildings created some delays. There were also no hair dryers in the room so I embraced my either wet or extremely wavy hair for the duration. Overall, I would stay here again with no hesitation.

I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay. The location was fantastic, and the hotel room was incredibly spacious with a private pool. The view of the ocean was simply breathtaking. What made it even more special was the friendly and accommodating staff.

I loved the character of this place. Felt very authentic. Things were outdated but in the best way possible. After my time was up in that room I moved to the King Suite with a private pool overlooking the ocean, it was amazing

Great Location-up Gringo Hill (steep to walk) but close to town centre & far enough away not to hear all the noise/nightlife. Outdoor deck space is large & is the real selling feature for ocean view rooms with balcony. We rented a car from airport but this was a mistake. Roads in Sayulita are very narrow and made of kidney-jarring cobblestones (also lots of potholes, high speed bumps and water drains) that will rip out the undercarriage of your vehicle. Best to rent a golf cart for getting around unless you are very energetic. We stayed for 3 weeks & finally rented a golf cart just for the last week - should have done it sooner as it opened up sightseeing/exploring around full width & breadth of the town as we would never have climbed the hills in the heat/humidity on foot (and we are reasonably active middle agers!). I did miss having a proper pool area in which to suntan, swim and socialize. This property has only a plunge pool which is tiny (think like 3 lounge chairs long) located in a central courtyard with high walls around so little direct sunlight. The pool is bracingly cold - refreshing for a quick splash but nothing I could stay in for very long. Pool area was not really "inviting" - I never saw anyone in it & seemed like a glorified water feature for decoration more than a functional pool. Maybe a nice colorful mural (artistic painting) of turtles/whales under water could be painted on the huge empty wall to add character? Wonderful helpful staff, good value.

The long porch outside the kitchen and bedroom area was one of our favorite features of the property. Plunge pool only - don’t count on getting a suntan laying around the pool. The air conditioning was loud enough in our room to drowned out the noise coming from downtown but I heard that in some rooms it was not. Our room had full size refrigerator, microwave, sink and stove but not all rooms do. We rented a golf cart and vehicle during entire stay and I had parking for both and charging outlet for electric cart furnished by Villa Vista. Other family members walked the steep hill from downtown up to Villa Vista and they said it wasn’t to bad - I never did so can’t say. The staff running the Villa Vista was nice, helpful and accommodating. This property was about what I expected. Good value for what we paid.

Julio, the house manager, was exceptional. He greeted us warmly upon arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the property. His dedication to the house is evident, and he ensures your stay is nothing short of perfect. He’s always available via WhatsApp, responds quickly, and is incredibly kind. The property was spotless and well-equipped with everything you might need. It’s spacious, featuring a fantastic pool and a large, well-stocked kitchen. The A/C throughout the house is a huge plus, especially in Sayulita’s climate. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the entire house was beautiful, well-maintained, and fully functional. They also offer a golf cart rental for a daily fee, which adds convenience to your stay.

I loved that this casitas was right down the road from the North Beach.

The pool was awesome as well as the room

We enjoyed having the swim-out. It was very convenient to walk across the rainbow bridge to go into San Pancho.

The location is amazing a way from hustle and bustle of the town but the great thing about it is that with a 5 minutes walk you are in heart of restaurents , bars and boutiques ! Front desk staff are very kind and polite The Hotel does not have kitchen or bar they only clean the rooms ! There are two pools in the property one in between the villas and the other one up the hill like infinity pool which is kinda beach front ! The scenery is very nice like Thailand jungles The place is very quite The view of the pool up the hill is priceless

The rooms are big, well kept. Big tv. Great pool and view from pool. But pool is at least 1 mile walk from hotel. There is a very steep hill to climb. No transportation available. You are isolated at this hotel. No restaurant, bar or gift shop. You can have deliveries at a cost but security gate is difficult to get into unless you use the "referred vendor". The only way to the town of san poncho is to walk on the beach or over walking bridge or order a taxi. You must have a gate key to leave or enter. You inly get 1 card so you cannot split up. If you dont mind walking 15 minutes each way in sand or cobblestone to get food, drinks or snacks its fine. Otherwise nice hotel. Alberto is very helpful.

Comfortable beds and spacious accommodation. Lovely beach club pool. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. A few minute walk from downtown and all amenities. Property is secure and private away from the hustle and bustle. Very peaceful.

A lovely hotel that the are refurbishing. The pool is not near the rooms, a bit of a walk but definitely worth it.

The property is close to the beach area where the fisherman come in which has pros/cons; there is limited parking onsite but it's a long way from the parking to the hotel room and it's uphill all the way which is a problem for many. The pool is right in front of the hotel so exiting the hotel is always past the pool area that didn't seem to be used very much while we were there. Staff was great, but you never see the inside hotel area, because they register you right in the parking area--never saw the inside of the hotel the entire time we were there. Is there one?? We were to have breakfast included but they didn't mention it and we did have to ask about it the next day. They contract with a restaurant across from the hotel, so there is only the beach "cafe" available for food. No place to get ice at the hotel. No information inside the hotel to let you know what's available. Outside the hotel you are on the rocky beach, not very big and all through the streets of Sayulita it's very dirty, noisy (from all the music and 4 wheelers/golf carts that take over the town) and overrun with the smell of MJ and people asking you if you want to buy some--food is very overpriced and the infrastructure has not kept up with the crowds that come here. I would not recommend this area as a family getaway.

Hotel Ysuri is a very beautiful hotel. We stayed in a suite with jacuzzi and amazing views. The staff decorated my room for my birthday which was a great surprise. It’s a beach front hotel which is a plus and the beach was amazing and refreshing along with their pool. It’s a short walk to the plaza however the street it’s on could need more lighting as it’s pretty dark at night. The hotel has no elevator so we had to climb 3 stories to get to our room so keep that in mind since we had to go up and down several times in the day. Also on our last night we left the window open in the bathroom and the next morning the bathroom was full of bees which was scary but we managed to get our stuff and head home since we had an early flight. Overall our stay was great. We were here for 4 nights and would definitely come back.

Wonderful stay here at Hotel Ysuri! My husband and I came to celebrate my 40th birthday and the hotel surprised me in my room with a darling balloon and happy birthday display! The cleaning staff was thorough and never hesitated to provide us extra water bottles, and the masseuse, Tamara, on property was amazing! I highly recommended booking an appointment with her while there. We had a beautiful view, delicious poolside food, and fantastic, kind staff. Also quiet at night, but very close to the hustle and bustle of town! Great location. Also spotted a Coati outside one morning while drinking coffee on our balcony. Will definitely be staying here again!! Thank you!

We loved our room. It was easy to walk around from the hotel. The pool was a perfect temp. The room and view amazing. We rented a golf cart. It was so opinion. They provided a lock for the golf cart. The staff was more than friendly. They exceeded my expectations. I had a massage from Tamara. SHE WAS AMAZING!!!!! Make time to see her! Malena a was so helpful. She gave us recommendations on places to go. She recommended the golf cart. So thankful she did. Anything we needed she was there to help us. She’s a true asset.. We look forward to coming back Thank you for exceeding my expectations

Exceeded expectations. Service was tremendous and excellent recommendations. Maid service kept the rooms spotless and the grounds/pool is immaculate. Looks exactly like the pictures, no surprises. Right on the beach and incredibly close to the city plaza. Highly recommend the in-house massage therapist. The restaurant ACcross the street is really tempting, but the service is very slow and they don’t use the most health conscious ingredients and oil to prepare the food. We regretted eating there both times and made the walk to the north end of Sayulita where the food is much healthier.

Just finished our week long trip here and it was amazing! We had decided to come check it out since we picked it for our wedding in January 2026. First impressions were great! Check in was extremely smooth and we had a golf cart take us to our room. The room was a decent size with a balcony over looking the pool/ocean. The first night here was Mexican at the buffet and it was delicious! Breakfast has been very standard. The buffet in the evenings seems a bit hit or miss but we have found things to eat. The Japanese and Mexican restaurants are the best! Steak house is good but it was very hot and smoky in there. The pool areas provides a lot of shade! Almost too much one could argue. The pool itself is nice but is missing a ton of tiles. Could use a little more maintenance. But we enjoyed our days lounging and swimming. Pool bar gets very busy but the staff are wonderful! All around we are very excited to come back for our wedding

stinky pillows not replaced despite requests. excellent buffet with seared ahi tuna! new system great as reservations not required for the a la cartes except the japanese. first come first served & waiting lists usually about 45 minutes & paged by text. churros available but not freshly fried like in the past & no mexican fiesta with traditional games. steakhouse new york strip with chimichurri so good. japanese could learn from other tepanyaki ginger & sesame sauces. no tamales or enchiladas at the mexican. tacos poolside were a treat! 24 hour starcafe had cappuccino, chai latte & pastries. usually boogie boards available for borrowing but here private co lets you buy ratchet but functionable boards & buys them back for $20. lifeguards lovely & tell you about the surf conditions to save you before you hit the waves! activities fun, dance lessons, aqua size, yoga & bingo. shout out to moni, marco polo and carlos for friendliness. traditional seed bead craft included. pool will be heated next month;(. evening show tickets expensive at $99/person. (never had to pay at other resorts.) higuera golf course next door fab & transport in golf cart included (we tipped). pool tables busy. cues and balls lent at reception if you leave id. wonderful wrist band with room key attached & no towel card required very helpful! coke zero & sprite zero in mini fridge! coco chases grackles. despite the pillow thing, our second time here & the quality of the food will likely draw us back.

This is an incredible property at a great location! The pools, rooms, terrace, restaurants and cafe, and the lobby area are well maintained and pleasing. Of course, the beach is extremely beautiful and the beach chairs/umbrellas allowed us to enjoy the waves. We enjoyed the Kupuri show, circus, and the pool games and entertainment activities. The resort in general is clean and maintained very well. But the best part of our stay was the service and hospitality of the staff. They anticipate your needs and attend with efficiency and a smile. The housekeeping staff at the rooms, pools, beach, restaurants, gardens and the overall property work very hard to keep the place impeccable. Specifically, want to call out - Chefs Estefania, Hugo, and Alejandra for preparing delicious vegetarian meals for us - was very kind of them! Christian from the buffet restaurant was also very attentive and helpful. Staff at Star camp - Ana, Aranza, Martin, and others ensured a great time for our child with safe and engaging activities. Jonathan from Concierge answered a lot of our questions and was super helpful. A couple of watch outs were that the washrooms had an obnoxious odour in the mornings (housekeeping addressed it promptly, but the issue persisted) and the elevator (ocean front tower) was not working for the duration of our stay.

Food was excellent and readily available. Bed was comfortable. The surface stone around the pool was quite slippery for both of us, so would recommend wearing pool shoes. Music at the pool was loud for our liking, but we found a quieter location.

We stayed the first week of April and the hotel was busy but not crazy crowds. We couldn't swim in the ocean only for the first day of our week long stay as they had the red flag up due to strong waves. The rest of the days they had yellow flag and a warning about some jellyfish, but we swam anyway. The lifeguard was on duty the entire time and there were other people swimming even though there were mild waves. The water was fantastic. Lots of loungers with sun umbrellas on the beach and always enough for our huge family no matter what time of the day we showed up. Most people enjoyed the pools and there were plenty of room for everyone, also never worried about loungers by the pool as they had enough for everyone. Loved the resort all around. Hope to be back one day!

Great location up the hill, outside of the noise, the crowd and the music from restaurants but walking distance from everything. The condo and residence were both really nice and comfy with everything we needed. The swimming pool was also nice. Tony the property manager was were reactive and ready to help. We walked 10 min and headed to the center of Sayulita which was great. Easy to park if you have a car but there is no parking. It’s up hill so you need to be able to walk properly. I recommend this apartment.

Pool was great, we had a 3 bed apartment that was perfect for us. The staff were really nice. Tony the on site manager, really makes this place! He went above and beyond and everyone was really impressed with him. Outstanding property manager.

The hotel didn't offer any food at all so we had to look for restaurants away from the hotel. It was maybe a 5 minute walk to the square where most of the restaurants were so not a problem. The pool and the patio around the pool was very comfortable and relaxing. Pool water was a perfect temperature.

The location was perfect a quick walk into the action of town yet quite at night at hotel . We asked to face jungle side which they accommodated us . The rooms were cleaned every day and there was a small kitchenette and a good size fridge to store food and ice . Also another thing I loved about this place was they left you a great amount of towels for pool, beach and bath . The pool was amazing and the roof top. The staff were so friendly and helpful . We had a great time staying here. Would highly recommend

My room was clean and modern. it was a good size. The bathroom was nice and clean and the closet is located in the bathroom. I had a balcony which was nice. I also had a small kitchenette which I love having a fridge and coffee maker. The hotel is about a 5-7 min walk to the center which was nice because it is quieter at nite. staying in the center can be very loud well into the night 2-3 am. Last year I stayed at Sayulinda and the music is loud from all the bars around. as far as amenities the roof deck and pool are fabulous. I enjoyed the pool everyday in my stay.

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast room is beautiful, with a great view. The breakfasts are great. They have a pool and pool area that is great. We actually had two visits, one day apart. The 1st one was for one night in a normal room by the pool. The 2nd visit was for 3 nights and in the master suite - very large with a wraparound deck and great views.

We stayed a this lovely, quiet hotel for 11 nights. Beautiful landscaping, refreshing pool, comfortable bed in a very clean room. We stayed in a lower room (Venado) by the pool but 2 upper rooms (Pesica & Gaviota) had better views. A delicious vegetarian, Mexican style breakfast was made fresh daily. The staff Quesay, Gejuan , Esteban & Rumi were wonderful. If you are use to North American amenities in your room be aware there is no T.V., coffee maker, small fridge or hairdryer. They do provide beach umbrellas and mats for the beach about 5 blocks away. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel. The location was perfect, off the main street but a very easy walk to all the restaurants and the beach. The staff was ultra accommodating, especially Rebecca. She made substitutions for my gluten allergy without any fuss. My room was delightful right off the poolside - I would only suggest they replace the white towels which were very worn. It was quiet and comfortable with excellent water pressure in the shower and sink. They provided all the soaps and hair and body products. I brought in my own water because the filtered water in Mexico didn't taste right to me. The breakfasts were great, filling, and innovative. A special treat. I highly recommend two particular restaurants - In Hotel Cielo Rojo, only serving dinner on Th-Sun I believe but it was one of the best meals in all of Mexico I had on my two week trip. They make their own tequila! And, Mau the owner of Su Pancho Madre makes a great variety of sopas, and gluten free morning pastries. Plus they sell their killer chile/peanut sauce which I brought back. More on them in another review. Lastly, do yourself the kindness of patronizing ARA (the pink and white curtains) for an open air beach massage. Ask for Marianna.

This quaint, yet upscale hotel has only 9 rooms. They are centered around a small courtyard and pool. San Pancho is a rustic little, beautiful town, but when yiu e ter Hotel Casa San Pancho, you feel transported somewhere else. It is a private oasis and is just gorgeous. There are jo TVs or Phones in the rooms, a surprise at first, but then we were glad for it.... just obligated relaxation. The full breakfast offerings, cooked from scratch, on site, were such a wonderful surprise. So delicious and started the days off with a smile! The staff is so professional and courteous! We loved this little oasis and will return on our next visit.

First time here and won’t be the last, ( we have been staying in Bucerias but they are building too many high riser condos) now we found our sweet spot!!, The staff is friendly and helpful, there is someone there 24/7. The breakfast starts off with fresh squeezed orange juice, and every day we were there we had a different Entrée, ( which is so nice to get a variety. The pool is saline water, and not cold, my husband swim every day we were at her. They met all of our needs, close to town, I’m very comfortable. We plan on staying longer next time!

Absolutely gorgeous little hotel. Location is superb. Walking distance from north side restaurants and only 10 min walk from plaza. Staff is on point. Very friendly and welcoming. Will go out of their way to accommodate you. Miguel was so nice and friendly.. Very helpful with restaurant suggestions. Met Natalia too and ate was the sweetest. Breakfast is so good and it’s part of the stay. I must say come early or it will be gone. That’s how good it is. Yoga classes are a big plus. Teachers are not advanced but if you want to practice on your own, there is a second room that is always empty and available. Two pools are so nice. There were a lot of visitors either kids and it’s nice to have an adult pool. Beach is 5 min walk. Best time is from 1-5 and waves are not as big as in the morning. Hotel is 5/5. I can wait to come back and enjoy my time in paradise.

This hotel is so beautiful. It has two beautiful yoga shalas and three classes daily except on weekends. I loved Tanya’s classes. The hotel has two pools. Is on the quiet end of Sayulita. But a 5 min walk to the beach and great restaurants. The staff is great and responsive. The breakfast included is a really good Mexican breakfast and is different daily with also has fresh fruit, yogurt and granola. The room was huge. Nice sitting areas on each floor or by the pools. There is water available to refill your water bottle. I can’t say enough about this place. My first time to Sayulita. Won’t be my last.

We stayed at Hotelito Los Suenos for 9 nights in November, and loved the experience. They just increased the yoga options and there were 3 classes most days, outside in a beautiful Shala. Several different instructors, all knowledgeable, different approaches to make for a very beautiful yoga experience. As a hotel guest, excellent price. Mexican breakfast buffet, was fresh, delicious, plentiful, with different options every day. We had a quad room for the two of us, which allowed us to be in the newer part of the hotel, and allowed us more comfortable space. Miguel and Michele at the front desk were friendly and available as needed. Kitchen staff very delightful and amazing cooks. Cleaning staff kept everything comfortable. Large bottle water dispenser on each floor, accessible to refill personal water bottles. Two pools were lovely, so if there were kids plashing around in one, adults could go to the other. The hotel is in the quieter part of town, but an easy walk to the bustling center of town when we wanted. Some lovely restaurants nearby, easy to walk to the beach, and close to the bus station if you want to visit several other quaint nearby towns like San Pancho or Lo de Marcos. If you are looking for a quiet vacation full of yoga, this is your place, highly recommended. Even if you don't want to do yoga, this is a lovely place to stay. Just note that there are stairs ( 3 flights) to go to the outdoor breakfast space, yoga studio and some of the rooms.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. It was very nice and the staff was great. They helped us with every need we had from where to eat to where to go beaching and setting up transportation. I recommend booking directly with the hotel, you get a better rate. This is NOT the Marriott but the rooms were great and the whole property was extremely clean to include the two pools and every inch of our room and the common areas. The common areas are not air condition as they are all open areas. They do provide a wonderful breakfast every morning but that's all. We enjoyed eating other meals in the local restaurants around town any way. Room was great. Clean, spacious and comfortable although they could use some cushioned chairs in the room to relax and read or visit. NO TV's! I liked that! Internet was a little slow at times. If you rent a golf cart ( I recommend it) they will charge you the equivalent of $7 US per day to charge it. I felt very safe here. The staff was extremely courteous and happy and I would return!

Hotelito Los Suenos is a beautiful hotel with excellent yoga classes & breakfast. It is extremely well located -within walking distance of the main part of town but far away enough to be out of the fray. It is good to know that while the hotel has strict quiet times at night, it is not a quiet building, due to its concrete construction and exterior courtyard circulation. The sounds are not unpleasant: children splashing in the pool, staff watering plants, music from the lobby etc. The rooms are spacious and clean - the sink & vanity outside the bathroom was great for our family & the shower is huge with good temperature & water pressure. It took a few days to get used to the beds, which have very very hard mattresses, and the pillows are lumpy. The beautiful gardens, the care and attention of the staff and the incredible breakfast made up for it. 8/10

Friendly & helpful staff, very quiet and relaxing vibe, spotlessly clean, great food and drink options on-site, beautiful location, perfect beach, comfortable and quiet room, couldn’t have loved it more. The free breakfast was beyond any other "free" option most hotels offer. There is a "private beach" directly in front of the hotel, but it is only accessible at low tide and not safe for swimming (too many rocks). HOWEVER....the most beautiful, spotless, uncrowded public beach is an easy 3-5 min walk down the road. We spent an entire day there and it was pure bliss. Walk S down the beach to enjoy a fab meal from La Barracuda right on the sand. Basalto has 2 pools onsite: rooftop one is heated, main floor one is a colder "plunge pool". Both are fabulous. Beers/drinks/cocktails onsite are delicious and extremely reasonably priced...even the minibar! So nice to stay at a well-appointed hotel that doesn't take advantage of guests by price gouging. We rented a car to get us to Sayulita, San Pancho, Punta Mita (the town), etc, which wasn't cheap but was VERY worth having because the location is a bit out of the way and we wanted the freedom/flexibility of bouncing around a bit. We will be back!

Great hotel stay overall. It’s definitely more secluded than the other major hotel resorts in the area. Excellent staff and setting. Small boutique hotel with only 10 rooms with two pools. The rooftop pool was amazing with 180 view of the coast. Rooftop also had a nice bar setup for poolside food service and drinks. Being a smaller hotel we only encountered a few other guests the entire time we vacationed making it more speculator. Food was excellent and delicious along with customized drinks. Rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. Daily room service provided with cleaning and restock of supplies. Being more secluded and having to travel on a dirt, unpaved road be aware of the conditions. We rented a car and we’re glad we did because it would probably be more difficult to go in and out of town daily for your stay. The beach was also not very accessible most of the day until low tide and the staircase descending into the beach area is needing some repairs as the high tide covers it otherwise. Only downside we experience was the check out process they charged our stay in local currency which the hotel management stated they set their own rate for local currency conversion to foreign currency…when the hotel rate was different according to national standards luckily my credit card company I booked the hotel through reimbursed us the difference. I recommend speaking with the hotel management prior to check in about the currency rate conversions they specifically use.

The Basalto is a wonderful boutique hotel. Here is the skinny. 1. There are 10 rooms. Two big ones and two smaller both with ocean front views on two floors. We had 101, the bigger one and the bed looks right out over the ocean. There are four exact rooms on the other side that look out over a cow pasture and two on one side that have a side view of the ocean. 2. You are only 10 minutes from restaurant Row in Punta Mita. The hotel is set up with a taxi service and they charge you 14 bucks each way. $20 each way with a tip. And the food prices are nearly double what you pay right at the hotel. Food there is really good and really in expensive compared to spending 40 extra dollars and driving to Punta Mita. Basically the $40 you spend on taxis will buy you a really good dinner and a few beers or a couple nice drinks right at the hotel with unbelievable views of the sun setting across the ocean. The piña colada‘s are huge and the best we have ever had anywhere and the beers that come from the rooftop pool are right above being frozen. They are cold as ice. 3. From the pictures it looks like the beach is the size of a two car garage down a steep staircase but that is not the case. The staircase get you down to a huge rock platform and from there you swing around to the left and in about 30 seconds you are staring at a Picture perfect 400 yard Long Beach that only a couple of homes have access to and the hotel. That along with the two pools is perfect.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in one of the king suites. The room was clean and welcoming and you can’t beat the incredible views. It felt very private and The bed was comfortable. Our favorite feature was the large sliding door which opened wide to make the large patio part of the living space. We booked a couples massage in our room and that was lovely. From the moment we arrived to our departure the staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Basalto is located between two accessible beaches with a short walk and they have towels, chairs and umbrellas if needed. The staff booked us taxi rides when we asked and they were always on time or early. It’s a quick 10 minute ride into Punta Mita. The breakfast option included in the stay were plenty and delicious. I wanted to bag up some of the homemade granola it was that good. The lunch and dinner was fabulous! We travel quite a bit and this is some of the best food we’ve had on our vacations. Try the grilled shrimp and Baja tacos!! The cocktails were so refreshing and tasty and they had plenty of wine options as well. We enjoyed the upstairs pool, deck and bar with expansive views. It’s the perfect place to get some sun, watch the ocean, the birds flying and diving, read a book, and cool off in the pool. There is a small gym that has enough to get a quick workout in, but we preferred a run or walk on the beach. We would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Hotel Basalto and we hope to return there again sometime soon!

This is one of those spots that you don't want to tell anyone else about because it's so cool and you don't want it to get "discovered" - but the staff and hotel were truly so great that we thought it important to write them a great review!! This is a great example of why 10 room boutique hotels can be such memorable vacations. We stayed in the King Suite Delux- i think the nicest room in the hotel. It was a gorgeous room, looking out over the ocean with a large deck and tons of space. The mini-bar was well stocked, and the room layout with the shower, bath tub, and bed looking out over the ocean was truly fantastic. The staff were all wonderful. Whether it be serving you at the bar, helping book a taxi, or any of the other many things hotel staff do - it seemed everyone was proud of the excellent reputation this hotel has. The food at the hotel was also great, and can be ordered pretty much anywhere on site. We enjoyed cocktails at the rooftop pool (epic setting), on the balcony of the restaurant, and at the lower pool as well when the sun hit it in the afternoons. All in all - highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to Punta de Mita.
