Hartford House has so much to offer. It boasts gorgeous accommodation on a beautiful property with fairy tale-like gardens, hundreds of contented horses, a multitude of walks (both tranquil and energetic) and the sparkling deck-chair lined pool. The staff are friendly and attentive and the meals delicious. One can have a relaxed outdoor lunch or an elegant multi-course wine pairing meal. Every suite/ room and every stay is wonderful.

The property is absolutely exceptional, almost like stepping into another century. The rooms are so tastefully decorated, the tasting menus superb and staff and extremely attentive to detail. We felt pampered from the moment we arrived. A chilled glass of bubbly as a welcome drink, help to carry our luggage and an immaculate room. The horses on the property are absolutely majestic. Loved the time I got to spend with them. We got a call from the property to confirm that we got to Johannesburg safely. We have never experienced this kind of care and hospitality before. Special thanks to the chef for sharing one of the recipes and for our after dinner anniversary treat.

The location is gorgeous, with beautiful manicured gardens and fields. Our room was fabulous, clean and comfortable, topped off with amazing views of the dam and green fields. Perfect for lazing about. We really enjoyed the holiday. Moreover, the food was delicious, the a la carte menu has a thoughtful selection of dishes. The property offers a 4 course or 6 course seated dining experience with a different menu each evening. The food is tasty, bursting with h flavour and plated beautifully. Bonus point, most of the desserts were gluten free or were tweaked to be gluten free for me and they were delectable.

The Hartford House is such a beautiful hotel. After the renovation even more. The massive land as far as the eye can see is so incredible. To watch the horses is stunning. our cottage was so lovely. most comfortable bed and highest quality linen. the bathroom was so huge! lovely! amazing food! Big congratulations to the chef for his delicious creations. and a hurray for the bartender for the Whiskey Sour! a massive thank you to all the staff who welcomed us so friendly and provided the best possible service! we can’t wait to come back again ! ❤️

Amazing views, private chalet with own pool, heated jacuzzis and communal pool on property, lovely bar area with friendly bartender, wooden walkways and lovely walks on property. Kitchen is equipped, but sparse on utensils so bring your own oven gloves and braai tongs. Restaurant food was good, but a bit pricey for dinner with a slightly limited menu if you stay a few days. There is the stormsriver village about 20 minutes drive away that has a selection of quaint shops, restaurants and activities to explore. Ploughman's lunch was lovely and enough for 2 people. The road is a dirt road, but fine to drive on with a normal car and the road is sign posted.

Perfect location, Log cabins are well spacious and designed to perfection, stunning views. Stunning views of the gorge and sea. Clean and spacious chalet with comfortable beds and good linen. Well fitted kitchen. Lovely partially enclosed patio and braai area. Superb breakfast with so much to choose from. Friendly, professional staff. Awesome heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna facilities. A special welcome from The Fernery as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary!

Stunning location , would be ideal couples retreat. Food fantastic. Self serve and cooked breakfast from menu. Lovely walks and cycling option. Small clean pool. Lots of hot tubs in private locations beside river. Lovely view. Room was so luxurious with cut wood for stove outside and self catering capability. We could easily though have used one bungalow for 3 of us if there was a bed settee option.

Beautiful setting and an easy drive after a day spent at Storms River mouth. Rooms large and comfy with views of the gorge. Plenty to offer: sauna, spa, pool, playground for kids - one night here was not long enough. Fantastic meals and a great wine cellar, the dining room with beautiful views of the gorge and waterfalls.

Every aspect was fantastic breakfast to die for, excellent pool hardly anyone around the pool drinks and food service at the pool. One of the best places I have stopped in Cape time and I have visited 20 times or more we will return next year for sure.

Where to start? Everything!! This place is incredible. We had a two bedroom apartment for 5 nights and then a one bedroom for 1 night (because we had a flight cancellation). Both perfect. -the location is perfect - super safe (we were 2 girls) - breakfast is big with variety and great staff - the pool is not big but really nice to lounge around - the view from the top balconies is beautiful - the apartment are big and with everything you could need. - this place is really luxurious On a side note: BIG THANK YOU to both Ruby and Thandiswa. We couldn't make our flight so we ended up coming back. They were the sweetest. We felt a little bit lost and it felt like coming back to your aunties. They took our suitcases, brought us breakfast (and even remembered what we liked) even if it was too late and officially we had checked out. They took us to the pool and prepared our new room for an extra night for us. Honestly it couldn't have been better. Such incredible service. We felt safe and taken care of! They have really invested in the home away from home feel. As it really felt as coming home and plunging on the couch every evening. Staff is friendly and responsive and went out of their way to make things happen. We wanted to move up one floor to have a better sea view, and although they were fully booked they managed to swap us after a few days. The rooms are smaller than they appear, but because you have enough balcony space and they are furnished really efficiently, that wasn't a real problem. Location is 5-7 minutes walking from restaurants on the main road. The pool area is small, but we spend most time roaming the city, so no need for pooltime. Neighbourhood was nice, went out for a run every morning.

My stay at Romney Park Luxury Apartments was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and the stunning views from the property. The apartment itself was spacious, beautifully furnished, and impeccably clean—truly a home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it easy to prepare meals, but I also enjoyed the on-site restaurant for breakfast. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. What really stood out was the location—just minutes from the V&A Waterfront and other top Cape Town attractions, yet nestled in a peaceful, secure area. Whether I was relaxing by the pool or sipping wine on the private balcony, I always felt relaxed and well taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Romney Park to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and convenient stay in Cape Town. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

The apartment was huge! Large spacious king size bedrooms (3), 2 with en suites and 1 with their own shower room, which was not en suite but right next door. One had a huge bath, 2 had large showers. Loads of hot water at all times of the day. The outdoor space was amazing - three doorways (off two bedrooms and the lounge area) - onto multiple seating areas, all overlooking the pool but screened by plants and trees. TV access to a huge number of channels. lovely dining area and kitchen. We paid for breakfast on one day - it was amazing, loads of choice of hot and cold. Couldn't fault it.

Fantastic location on the waterfront and within easy reach of all popular tourist activities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the complex felt very safe (basement parking too). The pool overlooks the marina and offered great views and the gym was very well equip. Definitely exceeded expectations and would return in a heartbeat. The apartment itself was very clean and spacious (amazing balcony overlooking the Marina was a real highlight) and even included a washing machine and dryer (as a mother of a small baby this was pretty useful!)

The apartment was spacious and well positioned fairly close to the Aquarium and Red Buses. We felt very safe and cared for. Special mention goes to Anthony, who offered advice on trips and taxis and quickly dealt with the problem we had with the shower. The apartment was so well equipped that it felt like home.We just loved our stay, the view over the canal and using the swimming pool. A gem we would recommend to anyone planning a stay in Cape Town.

Absolutely everything! Spacious superb beautifully furnished 3 bedroom/ 3 bathroom apartment, cleaned daily. Huge balcony with outdoor dining table , sunloungers and splash pool . Excellent secure location on 6th floor with great views of the waterfront and table mountain . Cafe on ground floor, good breakfast menu . Close to restaurants , city hop on off bus , shopping centre and pick up points for trips like Robben Island,wine tasting tours and Aquila Game Reserve only 2hours drive.

perfect location! great views! spacious, clean and well appointed. the deck is huge and I’m sure having a pool is great for little kids, although we did not need it. I would love to stay again. also, very safe facilities and buildings.

Well done to Archie and his team (Wikus, Ryan, Edwin, Collen) apologies i did not get everyone's names. Everything :-) . Location superb. Staff well groomed, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Restaurant offerings are quality and well presented. Gardens are neat and well maintained. Spacious room with indoor outdoor shower including a bath and a plunge pool. Additional lookout areas on the property to enjoy the views. Overall spectacular experience.

Ivory Tree is a wonderful place to stay, all the staff are very friendly, polite and cannot do enough for you. The pool area is lovely and very clean. The game drives into the park are well organised and professional. The suite was absolutely stunning with its own plunge pool, immaculately clean with all amenities. The food in the restaurant is delicious, wonderfully presented and plenty of choice. The highlight is the outdoor BOMA (BBQ) on a Wed/Sat night if you are staying then. You cannot fault The Ivory Tree.

This hotel is just fabulous. Coming from Ireland and to stay in a Game Lodge in the wilderness of South Africa was like something we have never experienced before. The hotel and Pilensberg park are fantastic. The lodge we stayed in was absolutely lovely. We stayed in the private villa that had a private outside jacuzzi, fire pit area and our own private pool and sunning area. Included in the stay are 2 game drives per day and this was an amazing experience seeing the animals living in their own habitat. The staff here are also lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Definite 5 stars.

All the meals were great, its a nice and cozy restaurant. The family lodge was a treat, big and spacious, the outdoor shower and private pool we're awesome. All the staff from rangers, waiters and cleaning staff were all very friendly and always smiling. Great safari drives, nice vehicles and the rangers has a great knowledge about the Pilanseberg area.

Beautiful,cozy property. A watering hole close by, which we watched elephant at. The lounges overlook the watering hole so you can spend an afternoon having a nap and watching game. Our game drives were great because of our very professional game ranger, Tsiamo. He went out of his was to make sure we had the best game drive experience, which we did. All The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. The food was top notch, and the boma dinners were fun and special. Our accommodation was lovely especially our heated plunge pool! The only disappointment was the fire place in our room was very smoky and made our room smelled of smoke and it hurt your eyes. I would not light the fire again. The staff made our anniversary memorable by spoiling us with champagne and rose petals strewn everywhere, ran us a bubblebath and gave us cake and sweet treats. We had an incredible stay, thank you Ivory Tree.

the selection during breakfast was very good. Guests could choose from the menu and also use the buffet. Both lunch and dinner were catered with starter, main course and dessert and the quality of the food was very good. For participants in the game drives, a short refreshment was provided in the morning and a tasty snack with a wide range of drinks at 4 o'clock. The restaurant and terrace was also very tastefully decorated and the furniture was comfortable. Service was particularly attentive and friendly. The bungalow was extremely clean, very nicely decorated and equipped with all comforts and facilities. (Nice outdoor shower and spacious sitting bath) The bed had a mosquito net and the bungalow had a small outdoor terrace. The resort's swimming pool was clean and the sun loungers were comfortable and placed so that one had enough privacy. Finally, the game drives were extremely well organised, with well-versed guides and in sturdy and comfortable cars. What made the resort really special was the absolute cleanliness of everything and the friendliness of the staff.

Beautiful views and amazing private hot pool. Everything is clean and get cleaned daily. There's a back up generator that kicks in with loadshedding, so the pool stays warm.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Every day when we got home the pool was cleaned and already hot. The bed was comfy and the tent is very spacious. The braai area was great for sitting around the fire and you still have space to braai. Hot water all the time.

The room was well appointed and comfortable facing the harbour. The location is excellent with many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The V&A waterfront is a 10 minute walk away. The rooftop is a wonderful space to have a glass of wine and looks up onto table mountain. The plunge pool is also quite quaint.

Place is perfectly located in a nice, safe, centrally located neighbourhood. Quiet area with some nice shops and restaurants on walking distance. The appartment was nicely decorated, clean and complete. Secured parking at the back of the hotel.The staff was very helpful and friendly! The rooftop terrace with plunge pool and table mountain view is fantastic.

Cape Finest is clean and cleverly thought out and designed. It’s modern and welcoming. In an excellent location with local amenities on the doorstep. Our room was lovely, and the bathroom large, clean and modern. All essentials were provided including robes and soft, white towels and bathroom toiletries. The roof terrace with plunge pool is fabulous with Table mountain as a backdrop. A very nice touch is the fridge stocked with snacks and drinks on the first floor. Anything used is just signed for. The breakfast area/kitchen is great as is the lounge area. All very tastefully laid out. A bonus is the secure parking at the back of the property. The staff here are outstanding in their genuine warmth and welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They go out of their way to make sure the guests have everything they need. Breakfasts are great. Thank you to Eugene, Sam and Wily for making our stay such a lovely one. We won’t hesitate to come back or recommend to others.

We loved our stay at CFGH, and would highly recommend to others. It was the ultimate in friendly, homely hospitality. Our room was spacious with excellent facilities. Our daily continental breakfast was delicious, and a great start to our day. The common room was a lovely space to relax, with lovely decor; & the rooftop deck and small plunge pool was a perfect spot to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Has the best view of the mountain. I've left the best till last, & that’s the staff. A huge shout out and thank you to Sam, Belinda and Sharon. So welcoming and helpful, who all go above & beyond to ensure we had the best stay. The guest house location in De Waterkant, offers plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes & the Cape Quarter shopping centre nearby. We will definitely choose CFGH on our next holiday to Cape Town.

Confortable and clean room. Confortable bed, neither too soft nor too hard. We were staying in room 1, on the 1st floor, facing Loader street, which is very quiet. Excellent location in a good neighborhood. No problem to walk down by day to the Waterfront (approx 20 min). Only ZAR 58 to take a cab back at night. Lovely rooftop with small plunge pool. Willy was just great, giving us tips, addresses, recommendations, etc. Awesome staff. Breakfast is available at their restaurant down the street and is very good (à la carte with a limit of ZAR 210 per person). Secured parking available at the back of the property for free. Had a wonderful stay. Would recommend and come back.

The lodge has a beautiful reception area and the reception staff is generally friendly The pool was really nice to be in, although it seemed small it was able to accommodate all the guests lounging in the pool area, my husband and son really enjoyed the slides! We enjoyed the cocktails! My son loved the ribs, be sure to try them!

We loved this place. An historic building from 1899, this was an amazing experience. The grounds were amazing, as was the incrtedible swimming pool. We loved the bar next door, as well as the impressive breakfast. Our dinner was exceptional, and our server, Linda, was amazing. We loved the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The check in experience was very welcoming. The museum across the street, South Africa's largest privately owned museum, was a splendid surprise. We walked into the nearby village, and were met by friendly, smiling people who also made us feel welcomed.

We had a room with a balcony at the front of the hotel, it was of a very generous size and very comfortable. The view over the railway station and to the surrounding hills was wonderful. The bird life in the carefully laid out gardens at the back of the hotel is very diverse. On a hot summer's day the pool would be very welcome.

The breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel. The pub lunch was good value for money The gardens were very well kept and the pool was spotless The evening bus ride was an unexpected pleasure. The curtains in the bedroom were excellent as we like a dark room at night.

Kids loved the freedom. I have been coming for a long time and it feels like the staff are very happy and the hotel is in good hands. Food was excellent. Swimming pool suite is really great

We had the most wonderful two night stay. We had a quiet, fully equipped room with a private pool, immaculately clean with fresh flowers. Highly attentive and friendly staff on hand to help with bookings and anything we needed. Like a home away from home, with a family feel to the boutique and staff very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast, with continental, fresh fruits and several other options. We made use of the bikes available, the beautiful garden, the bar / reception area and the main pool during our stay. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful location - we had the private pool suite, which was very spacious and luxurious. Lost of thoughful extras: little sweets for the evening, a yoga mat and weights for exercising outside, complimentary drinks and snacks, very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast! The staff was over the top attentive and helpful!

This hotel truly felt like our Cape Town home for the week. It's very small, only 9 rooms, and as a consequence the guys who work there do become friends for the stay. It's a breakfast only place, no lunches or dinners but there's a restaurant literally next door called Pedlars which isn't fine dining but you can order a wide range of menu items and they'll bring it to you, whether you're by the ( very nice but big enough) pool or your room. That's what they did whilst we waited for our room to be got ready as we'd arrived very early from London. The rooms are gorgeous, not stupidly uber lux but sooo comfortable with everything you need and are super spacious all with a patio or balcony overlooking the pool. There's an honesty bar in the hotel which has everything you might want including some very nice wines. While we were there they organised for us to spend half a day at the Last Word Long Beach, which as the name suggests is a similarly gorgeous place overlooking the best surfing beach in the Cape. Last Word Constantia is definitely our favourite hotel on the planet, we definitely want to go and stay at their other hotels in SA.

I’ve given this place 5 stars because I can’t give it more It’s an idyllic paradise set in beautiful grounds The rooms are large gorgeous cortages all on the ground floor with French doors to their own courtyard and easy access to the lovely pool, gym and yoga areas The food is excellent but the crowning glory is the service The manager is a lovely self effacing guy who claims it’s all down to his team and a lot of what he says is right But staff respond well to good management so he has to take a lot of credit And then there is the duty manager A woman of humble origins who is as beautiful a soul as you could ever meet Between them and their staff we had the greatest time and were soooo sorry to leave A delight

When we turned off the main road and travel down a gravel track we wondered if we had gone the wrong way and then at the end of the track we found an oasis. A beautiful country house with stunning and extensive grounds. We spotted deer, splashed in the pool, enjoyed lounging on soft sofas, and hand three fabulous dinners. The staff were very welcoming with one of them putting their work to one side in order to make my son happy by playing a game of dobble. The bedrooms were spacious, luxurious and warm with a roaring fire in the evenings.

The accommodation is gorgeous, such a beautiful location and gardens. Our suite was really private and we loved the style of the interior. Very friendly staff, who help you in every way possible. Very family friendly too, the play house with its own pool is really nice. The gym has a great view and has airconditioning. We ordered the picnic basket, which was really lovely and was full of fresh food. The massages were also great. Would definitely recommend, especially with all the services they offer and the different restaurants on the property. We were sad to leave and would go again.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you are treated like a true guest. The staff are a credit to the business, they are polite, courteous and always willing to help. The manager, Travis, greeted us on arrival and made sure we got our suitcase, which had been left at the airport. The rooms, gardens and pool area are beautiful, the attention to detail is superb. We ate in all the restaurants and all the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

We were welcoming by the friendliest staff as soon as we arrived at Hunters Country House! The hotel is set in beautiful gardens and is quite and peaceful. Our room was gorgeous, clean and comfy. The breakfast was amazing, with a great buffet selection and choice of hot/cooked. The pool & other facilities were lovely and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. Would love to return!

It was the most romantic and stunning stay in our SA vacation. The hole house is wonderful and well decorated. You have a stunning view from each room and the terrace - and the pool in front of it. The breakfast, which was served on the terrace, was rich and fresh. The staff was nice and helpful. The surroundings was also stunning. Over all - great place for a romantic stay, to recover and enjoy peacefulness. BIG RECOMMENDATION!

Exceptionally nice bed and breakfast just outside of Plettenburg Bay. Rooms were really clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious too and the homemade bits and pieces were very good too. Fantastic views from both the room and the reception area of the guesthouse. The pool and wine cellars were very nice features. You'd need to have a car to stay here ideally as transport seemed rather scarce.

The nicest place we have ever stayed, pictures do not do this place justice. We stayed in the honeymoon suite & it is JUST WHOWH. Panaramic views, infinity pool, log fire, and the rest goes on! Best breakfast ive ever had & beautiful staff who look after your every need!

What a gorgeous place to stay everything on a grand scale. Lovely bedrooms with. Balconies and fabulous views waking up and lying in bed looking at the magnificent view. A lovely pool to cool off after a days adventure. Owen, lynne and family are wonderful hosts.

Geht es noch besser? Ein sehr großes Zimmer, ein großer Balkon, mit eigenen Liegen, eigener Sitzecke, einem Blick über die Berge wie im Film. Zum Zimmer gehört natürlich eine großräumige Dusche mit Aussendusche ( Blick über die Berge!!!) Bevor man in seine Suite kommt, geht man durch die Lobby, mit Kamin ( der abends auch beheizt wurde) in die Bibliothek. Das besondere Highlight: Man bekommt beim Empfang den Schlüssel für den Weinkeller!!! Zwei Treppen tiefer gelegen kann man sich in aller Ruhe Weine und Sekte aussuchen, mit auf´s Zimmer nehmen, zu Preisen, für die man in Deutschland in besseren Hotels ein Flasche Wasser bekommt. Ich hab schon einiges erleben dürfen, so etwas noch nicht. Von dem Aussenpool ( relativ klein) und der Terrasse vor dem Kaminzimmer ( beides mit herrlichem Blick in die Berge) will ich nicht schwärmen. Den gleichen Blick hat man auch vom Frühstücksraum... Was bleibt noch zu loben? Die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Absolutes Lob. Was gibt es eventuell zu nörgeln? Man sollte sich vorher genau die Anreise notieren/ ausdrucken, denn man findet im Ort keinen Hinweis auf die Lodge ( oder man fragt bei Enrico, DEM Italiener vor Ort, nicht zu übersehen). Und: Die Toilette roch muffig. Irgendetwas ist doch immer. Dennoch: (Fast) der Himmel auf Erden!

We stayed at Blue Views Villas this summer and what an experience. The magnificent family sized villa is the epitome of opulence. The attention to detail matched with modern practicality is a must if you are in Camps Bay. With our own private pool and a stones throw from a private beach there is little more one needs for a vacation. The sunsets from the main bedroom and open plan private terrace are second to none. We will definitely come back.

The location couldn't have been better, right across from the Camps Bay Tidal Pool and beach! The penthouse was beyond our expectations. The team who checked us in were super and couldn't be more helpful. We made great use of the bbq, or Braai like the locals would say, as we enjoyed the sunset from the balcony . It was such a spacious penthouse and we felt right at home for our stay. Not to mention the amazing pool!

The location was amazing. Close to the tidal pool and restaurants. Amazing views from the pool. Really everything we hoped for.

We stayed at the 3-bedroom penthouse and we were blown away! The views from the balcony are stunning as you look over the Camps Bay tidal pool. Location couldn't be better with being a 1 minute walk onto the main Camps Bay road with all the restaruants. The property itself is clean and very modern. Staff were extremely helpful with anything you need. Highly recommend staying with Blue Views!

Beautiful estate with macadamia and lychee trees. Staff is very attentive walking you to and from your tents. Richard the manager is passionate and very involved with the estate. The tents are right on the water and the sounds of the stream soothe you to sleep. You can watch a family of hippos right at the pool area. The food at the cafe and restaurant are amazing, the restaurant feels like your in southern France, it deserves a Michelin star. Roses are everywhere, and the scents are incorporated interesting the bath salts, shampoos and soaps, spas oils, and food. The spa is incredible, we did a coffee exfoliation and aromatherapy massage. You can do a 5k walk around the estate to see the farm and Rose garden, we saw a small croc too. The resort is 5 minute drive to hazyview stores and 15 min to phabeni gate in kruger. Overall amazing resort, can’t wait to be back!

What a beautiful setting. We stayed in a beautiful, tented room facing the river. The outside shower and bath were amazing. The pool setting is also right on the river with a bar close by. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

I loved Summerfields not for the Grand architecture or immaculate fixtures,furniture & appliances, that took our breaths away on arrival…. but for the peace my soul craved and needed and that it delivered! Words can never do justice to a treasure like this ! Pictures pale in comparison to its true beauty nestled in Natures finest!! In Summerfield ,surrounded by my tribe… is where I felt a sense of calm and relaxation. My happiest, most connected , content and tranquil moments were left along the Beautiful, clear scenic Sabi River - which you hear along the banks of the river while the birds chirp you to sleep at night, and sing you awake in the morning!! Aaah Sumerfield ! What a lasting impression you’ve left in our hearts!! The Kings of Hosts! Every little detail was executed! Our new home away from from🤍 Thank you for the complimentary Massages! I did not know what to expect but it lived up to expectations. Keep in mind, the lodging is in a tent style, but still luxury. I was able to bath open air while listening and viewing the forest and Sabie river from my room. The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I had issues with the wifi, but the manager ensured someone was out the next day to fix it. I’m also a vegetarian and the manager created a whole menu just for me. That was very thoughtful. A few mornings I left early and the breakfast pack they give you is amazing! The treatment was also wonderful. I ended up falling asleep since the roaring river was right next to me. The grounds are very beautiful and if I’m ever in the Kruger area again, I will book here but this time with my fiance since it is very couple oriented.

We were 10 adults and 1 two-year old in April 2025 who stayed at the Villa. From the guards at the gate, to the check-in staff, the manager of the villa (Sean), the amazing staff at the restaurant (Venicia and colleagues), knowledgeable Sarah at the padstaal and the GM (Blessing) we were never once met with a dour face or an unfriendly attitude. There was nothing too hard or too demanding for this outstanding and winning team. We travel fairly regularly - and this team is by far among the best. Thank you for a wonderful, albeit brief, stay. Well, this was my fourth time staying in Kapama. it is certainly a magical place and never disappoints our guide Stjohn was knowledgeable, interesting and made the experience one will never forget. We stayed in A-villa and enjoyed our private pool. We had a group of monkeys that would come see us. We saw all big five within the first day. I’m looking forward to coming back. The service was impeccable, and we were even treated to a safari breakfast. All the staff were accommodating sure our stay was five star.

The rooms are spacious with a private balcony with great amenities - bottles of wine & mini bar were included in my tariff. There was a jar of home style cookies. I loved the library with tasteful decor. There is an outdoor pool * a lovely gift shop. All staff were helpful & personable. The restaurant had fabulous food with generous helpings - home style. Breakfast consisted of a selection of breads (muffins, grain bread, etc) plus choices for a hot dish with some innovative ones like deep fried boiled egg. Lunch & dinner were 3 course where you could expect to be served game such as ostrich to chicken & lychee tagine. Nd there was afternoon tea with sweet and savoury delights. There are 3 hour each of morning & afternoon safaris and were guide & tracker were terrific - we got to see many animals including the big 5. Before the morning safari there is a snack with beverage and breakfast follows the safari. There is a short break during the safaris where we have tea/coffee & cookies for breakfast & alcohol with snacks like chips. A couple of times a week, buffet dinner is served under stars. I loved seeing the animals in the safari repeatedly, such a thril! Very highly recommended camp!! Posting just a few photos, too many too add.

My friends and i stayed at the Southern Camp for 3 days. The whole trip was just amazing. Selbi picked us up from the airport. He is very knowledgeable and has a fantastic sense of humour. We all loved him on our safari. Trevor was also good on the look out for animals. Selbi and Trevor worked well as a team. Our accommodation was outstanding. Very luxurious. Monkey's visited us at the pool. Antlers were everywhere. The food was just amazing. We had special dietary requirements. The taste and presentation was outstanding. The chef would come and speak to us everyday on our thoughts. The servers always checked if we were ok. Kapama made us extremely welcome. They went above and beyond with everything. I will definitely be going back in a few years.

Kapama Southern is amazing! I loved everything about it - the Villa was beautiful, the animals roaming free, the food was delicious, but I especially I loved the people who worked there. Titus and Elliot were an amazing Driver/Tracker duo and made sure we got to see some amazing animals, including a leopard eating in a tree. They were always looking out for me and making sure I had everything I needed to have a great stay. And Nkateko always had my favorite tea at breakfast lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this property and upgrading to the Villa with pool. I also suggest you stay about 5 days to enjoy the game drives, but also so you can enjoy some of the experiences like the Elephant encounter, spa and hot air balloon ride.

We stayed in a suite. It was beautiful and luxurious. Outdoor dipping pool - where animals came to drink daily! The staff here was incredible. Their friendliness and attentiveness was far beyond anything we could have hoped for. From the wait staff and cooks to the front desk to the cleaning staff that were in our rooms at least twice a day keeping everything stocked and tidy. Since this is a safari lodge the most important are the guides and trackers - they were amazing! We learned so much from them and saw amazing things. I can not recommend this enough. Stay here!

I loved everything about the place. From having ones own privacy and just being comfortable..to the interior and setup of the place ,the private pool..we just loved it and enjoyed our time

Beautiful flat with clear pool, clean furniture and appliances, and friendly host who greeted me when the key lock wasn't working within the first two minutes.

I really loved staying at shamwari safari at the bayethe lodge. The food was amazing and the in room amenities were amazing! We loved the plunge pool and the views of the balcony. Would highly recommend!

Amazing lodge to explore the Shamwari Game Reserve. While it was quite a ride to reach the lodge, every bump on the gravel road was totally worth it. Staff: all staff members were very welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay so perfect and pleasant. We had some tyre problems when we left and they even accompanied us back to the main road. Game drives: outstanding game drives (AM and PM) with our guide Benedict. He was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. Nice sunset stops with drinks. We saw a lot of animals and the experience was very intimate (max of 7 guests per vehicle) Food: delicious breakfast and dinner Room: stunning room with nice balcony, plunge pool and outdoor shower. Room gets very hot during the day though so make sure the AC is running when you leave for the morning game drive Schedule: we were there when the winter schedule was running. This means that the AM gam drive typically starts after breakfast. Then you come back for lunch and leave again at 3pm for the afternoon game drive. This makes breakfast a little stressful and doesn’t give you a lot of time to really enjoy the luxurious all inclusive experience the lodge has to offer. However, the staff tries to accommodate any special wishes (one day we were the only two guests in the car so we could change the schedule)

An excellent lodge in a valley overlooking a waterway, in the northern part of Shamwari. The lodge was upgraded during covid and I see no photos of the new modern stylish look so I have added some. The rooms are huge with a massive bathroom, very comfortable seating, a plunge pool and patio - all with views from wherever you are and lots of space. Excellent food and friendly service. The road is a dirt road in, not too challenging and you do not need a 4x4 as someone suggested. The game viewing was mostly concentrated in the south (whilst we were there) but it was nice to traverse the reserve a few times. Our guide took as to some beautiful outlook points where we could see game from high up and admire the landscape. The reserve is very picturesque and varied with wide grassy plains, steep hills, the Bushman’s River and cliffs to explore. The vegetation was in flower in November, really beautiful. Game viewing was very good from a diversity point of view and nice size herds of grazers. We enjoyed the 2 male cheetah and even spotted a caracal. Highly recommended.

The staff of Bayethe definitely made our stay a 5 star experience. From our game driver, Ruan ( who was amazing!) to Nina, who was super welcoming and friendly and all the staff, they made our stay special. The rooms where modern, clean and very comfortable, the only small negative was that the plunge pool was icy. The food was amazing, the choice and variety was lovely. The freshly baked goods were to die for, the extra small details make for a great guest experience. We just wished we could have sat outside in the fresh air more, but raiding monkeys and extreme heat made inside a better option this time. Game drives were beautiful, lots of big game to view and our vehicle was very comfortable. Good times!

Just home from the most amazing 3 days at Shamwari Bayethe. Our experience was just breath taking and everyone was so welcoming. Nina and her team are so accommodating and we felt so at home in the gorgeous lodge. Our room had the biggest and comfiest bed, the bath overlooking the incredible scenery was gorgeous and the daily treats were all fabulous. Food was plentiful, prepared with such care and absolutely delicious. Top credit to the chef and we're sorry we couldn't eat more, but the portions were massive! The highlight of our time was the game drives we did with Benedict (Benny) who was the BEST ranger. He was such great company and his ability to find all the animals was brilliant. Benny shared his knowledge in a really considerate way, never over loading us with too much info and he educated us in such a fun way. For the first day / night of our stay we were the only guests so had really individual attention but this didn't change when other guests arrived over our next 2 days. We saw absolutely everything we hoped to at such close proximity to the truck and each of our 6 game drives were totally different. Loved how Benny had the truck set up with hot water bottles on chilly mornings and the ponchos / blankets were really welcome. Much to my daughter's embarrassment I cried saying goodbye to Benny as the three days we spent with him on game drives were just magical. I cannot recommend Shamwari Bayethe more highly. It was a trip of a lifetime!

A cozy and boutique hotel format Safary Lodge facility, this is teh perfec place to enjoy the Safary in Nambiti Safari Game Reserve , just few rooms and confortable samll groups for the drives , with one in the morning and other afternoon. We had chance to see Lions, Cheetah, Elephant, Jirafes and Hipos … and more of them since the firs ride. Amazing personal Gude Lymon who take care of us. Restaurant and food amazing with variety and addaptability. Wifi avaible at main building where there are swiming pool and terrase .

The location was in the south of the reserve where most of the Game was, so the location is perfect. Meals are excellent and service brilliant. I love a place with a view and Umzolozolo has a beautiful view with a Warmed infinitive swimming pool. Game drives were Awesome and our guide Nols was a hoot and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend

My husband and I had the trip of a lifetime. We love game parks and lodges, and we had a little extra money to spare, so we decided to splash out. We chose Umzolozolo Lodge in the Nambiti Game Reserve, which was worth every penny. Every part, from the staff singing for us on arrival, to the gorgeous room and facilities, the food, the staff and management. Henry, the front house Manager was a sweetheart throughout our 3 night stay, as we're the ladies in the lounge and dining area. Everyone spoke perfect English and appeared to be very happy. Our guide, Siya, was unbelievably great at his job. He has been at the Nambiti Reserve for 14 years and has the eyesight of a Hawk. His knowledge of the fauna and flora is outstanding. Siya looked after our every need by showing us almost everything in the reserve. The only animal on our wish list that we missed was a leopard. Thus, we saw 4 of the big 5, and they were all really close sitings. In addition, I had a fantastic massage at their in house Spa. They also have a quaint curio shop that has loads of delightful gifts for yourself or your family back home. I am sure the other Lodges in the Nambiti family are all up to standard, but my husband and I were totally blown away with Umzolzolo and hope we may return there some day. It was Amazing!!! The staff were always willing to meet our needs, their service standards were on point and professional without losing that personal and friendly touch. We arrived as Guests and left as Friends without losing that sense of being a valued and cherished guest. Hospitality at it's Finest. Their safety standards and knowledge about every animal and creature on the reserve from the largest of the Big 5 right down to the Dung Beetle was superb. This was one of Our best life experiences and we can't wait to get back there again! Un-for-gettable...
