Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Southeast Asia

Honestly an exceptional hotel, I felt like the hotel got every detail right. Service felt like you were staying in a luxury hotel. The hotel is a bit away from the main street so it felt like it was a private entrance, immediately greeted by staff and got helped with the bags, at reception we were greeted with cold drinks, staff communicated everything clearly and was SUPER hospitable and helpful (real feel of Asian hospitality). We checked in around midday and our room was available at 1pm (2 hours before usual check in time), which was extremely nice of them. I really enjoyed being at the pool, the hotel is super well furnished and decorated so the atmosphere was amazing. I had a cocktail and a burger at the pool, great food and good prices even. There was someone playing a bamboo instrument on ground floor which added to the atmosphere! The hotel room was great as well, with tons of details - nice beds, nice balcony with a little lounger to enjoy, comfy slippers, even a stylish kettle that looks like a Chinese teapot. We didn't get to have breakfast as we were leaving at 5am but they packed us a nice sandwich, snacks and drinks. We also got lucky and got a room looking out at the courtyard, so was quiet at night, heard birds singing when we woke up. Beach was really close by as well, lots of shops on the main street. The airport is 10 minutes away by taxi - no plane noise though. 100/10 would stay here again for a few days if again in Bali.

It’s a small property, but the planning of it was well thought out. The pool can feel private when you’re at one end and especially with the beautiful mosaic, designs and architect and the greenery around the pool contribute to it feeling secluded. Looking up to the rooms, they look like traditional Bolognese design but inside they are up-to-date and also well planned out for maximum storage and surface options in the room. The restaurant is nice because it’s spread out but feels cozy.

The staff are incredible - so friendly and eager to help. Just lovely. Great location right in the middle of Kuta but you feel like you’re miles away when in the resort. Great restaurant set up and the pool is lovely. Great service too ordering food and drink on a sun lounger by the pool.

The multi course breakfasts were included and offered wide selections—something for everybody! Delicious, and local food was an option as well! Dinners were convenient and just as hearty and delicious. The pool area was always clean, never noisy, and never smelled of chemicals! Also, the amazing Spa had a multitude of treatments to choose from and they pampered us with so many extras! The best part of Amnaya were the people. Megumi, Tri and Alfian in particular checked in on us every day and they made extra efforts, beyond expectations to do whatever we desired! Megumi gave us private Balinese dance lessons! Tri greeted us every morning at breakfast and Alfian gave us dining recommendations and greeted me every evening after long days! Loved them, miss them! Quality people, quality stay!

The hotel is a lovely tucked away haven from the hustle and bustle. However the location is great, its a really short walk to the mall (2mins) and the beach is on the other side of the mall and its about 10 mins walk to Kuta Beach. Its also really convenient for the airport, roughly 15 mins ( very early in the morning). The room was superb, spacious, quiet, modern and clean. The staff were friendly and approachable. The room overlooked the pool and I loved the little chill out nook on the balcony. The rooms were functional but really aesthetically beautiful and really well thought out.

The lagoon pool and pool access are great. The staff are very helpful and always smiling. A beach bag is provided in the room, which was quite handy. Location was good close to good restaurants.

This was the most stunning resort I have ever been to. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the views were stunning. I had a cliff ocean view private pool suite and it was absolutely worth it. The pools are not heated but I assure you, they do not need to be. The water is so warm.

The breakfast is fantastic, offering great quality and a wide variety. The service was also great, with a very helpful and kind staff. The hotel is very beautiful, with an incredible pool. We stayed at an oceanfront private pool junior suite, which is extremely comfortable.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. The location, the atmosphere, the room with its own private pool, magnificent! The stand out was the incredible service we received from all staff, particularly Dwika, Juli, Leona and Panddy. Thank you. We are already talking about our return.

The property was quaint and secluded which is what my friend and I liked. We upgraded ourselves from Deluxe room to a Deluxe Suite with Garden view when we reached, as the price was just slightly higher with access to the Cliff Lounge which provides a more private pool and fabulous Hydrojet pool that we chill there most of the day. The Garden view that we got was beautiful as well, as it was a mix of greeneries with an ocean view from far. Overall, unforgettable experience and definitely heading back.

The hotel offers rooms with a semi-private pool on a shared outdoor pool, and it was a good experience to stay in these rooms. Various public swimming pools are also available.

We had such a brilliant 2 nights here. Private pool was amazing. Very relaxing. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

I stayed in this hotel 2nd time. This time I had the room oriented to private pool. Room was quiet and I was satisfied even more than at my first stay here.

After staying there the private pool room did not seem worth the additional money

Hotel was perfect. Check in was smooth with all questions answered and staff was very friendly, helpful and sincere. Room was up to date and fun with bright colors and excellent bathroom look. Housekeeping was spot on and kept the room immaculate. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many selections and international meal options each day. Roof top pool was immense & offered plenty of lounge chairs, wonderful swim up bar, great happy hour drink options and fun pool staff. I highly recommend this hotel. Cheers!

Very nice hotel in Phuket. Friendly staff, good size pool access room which gave direct access into pool. Second infinity pool on rooftop with bar. Pool large. Breakfast buffet was very nice with freshly cooked eggs, and lots of choices. Barista made coffee which was terrible, very bitter (I drink black coffee). Short walk to beach with cafes, restaurants and bars outside hotel. Would recommend and stay again.

Fantastic Hotel and would definitely stay again. We had a pool access room which was amazing! Bangla Walking Street is 1k walk away so this Hotel is in an ideal position within Patong. Excellent varied breakfast available. Hotel has everything upu need and is very modern inside. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Having multiple pool areas including adults only area is brilliant. Our room had a private pool and that was a fantastic addition. The staff and the servicing of the rooms was incredible.

Mr Nawawi facilitate our arrival till our departure in perfection. We were treated like we are the VVIPs. The view from our room was stunning and we chose the one with private pool. The only thing that we regretted was didn’t extend our stay (3D2N) at least for another day. Perhaps that’s a valid reason to come for another visit. My wife and I spent four unforgettable nights at Parkroyal Langkawi as part of our honeymoon, and it was easily the best hotel experience we've ever had. We booked the Private Pool Ocean View Room, which was absolutely exceptional. They left us a complimentary cake with a very nice message and a flower for our honeymoon as well as room decorations, we loved the small gesture. The view from our private pool opened directly onto the ocean, allowing us to enjoy stunning sunsets every evening in complete privacy—an experience we’ll never forget. The room aside, the entire hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Everything was spotless, and it’s clear the hotel takes great pride in maintaining its facilities. While we didn’t use the main infinity pool, it looked amazing and also offers a beautiful ocean view. The location is perfect—just a 5 to 10-minute walk to the Pantai Cenang beach. Plus, there are several supermarkets right across the street that stay open until 1 AM, which was super convenient. All in all, Parkroyal Langkawi delivered a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and service. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

The room was exceptional and tastefully decorated. We booked the Beachfront Pool Villa and the amenities were excellent and thoughtful. We enjoyed the private pool, which was a luxury though a little small. The buffet breakfast was also great.

The stay was amazing, and we got a free upgrade to a villa with a private pool and beach side view, with a very good breakfast included. The service was top-notch. We had a party of 6, and everyone was very happy with our stay. When one in our party got ill, the staff was attentive and kind. A late check-out was also free of charge. Mr. Thi made our stay pleasant, and had our room in order. Will highly recommend this as your next stay in Hoi An.

This was our second time here at palm Garden Resort . We stayed in a beachfront bungalow which was just amazing . We opened our back door and the beach is 50 metres away with sunbeds and towels . The room was clean ,spacious and very well maintained, they are serviced daily . As for the pool area , just amazing , massive pool with different depths for everyone in the family including a heavenly spa. The area is spacious,quiet and very relaxing .The pool water is beautiful and warm , for those who don’t like the warm pool you can go across to the beach which is a 2min walk. Staff were fantastic,friendly and very attentive. A special mention for Mr Vy who made our stay exceptional, he went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay . Such a friendly, kind, and helpful gentleman. Mr Vy and my husband Vic enjoyed playing darts together in the games room . Mr Vy is definitely an asset to the resort. A couple of other mentions also with the staff ,Mr Ty the coconut man who took us to cut our own coconuts from the tree, it was an amazing experience. Mr Viet and Mr Long who were two lifesavers at the pool and beach . Such friendly, happy and kind men who also did amazing work . See you all soon , we will definitely return .

The beach, breakfast, and pool were all very nice. There was a separate vegetarian counter. The property was lovely. The beach was clean and well-maintained. The pool was huge, had clean water, and had a kids' pool and toys. The spa was very relaxing—a must-do. Mr. Thi (ambassador), or as my kids call him "the Coconut Man", was very helpful and engaging. We had one of the sweetest and freshest coconuts from the trees at the resort. The kids' play area and indoor games were also well maintained. The property is a must-visit to relax with family.

Check in : Very quick and prompt. There is a welcome lounge with refreshment served. If it’s raining they will send you with a buggy. My Room : bungalow by the sea was truly stunning. Waking up to the sound of waves. Very peaceful and quiet. Had a balcony chair. You can just sit and laze around. Dining : 2 restaurants. Breakfast buffet served is extensive. Enough food for everyone. Ala carte menu has good choices. Taste wise, just average. Area : Opposite street has got some shops which I did not visit. I was very happy with staying in. Transport : to Hoi a city shuttle is provided. Few timings. Staff : All are very friendly. They understand enough English to get by. Pool : Quite big. It’s a dipping pool not so deep to swim. Spa : There is one but we didn’t go for it. Try citrus spa. They will pick u up. Top notch massages and service. I was on my anniversary trip. They decor the room as seen in the photo. Present a cake for us and a special drink. A very special moment for us. Thank you Palm gardens.

Very new hotel in walking distance to city center but very quiet. Employees are still being trained so not everything runs smoothly yet, but they make up for it with friendliness. Comfortable beds and quite big rooms. What I would wish for is a better management of the pool. The water was really milky/greenish and smelled sour (I know my way around pools as I swim regularly). I asked if they could check the chemicals, the manager told me ‚an expert checks every day‘. Unfortunately the water quality got worse over my stay, I did not use the pool any more. I was offered free breakfast and free cocktails after I complained. What I would have really liked for them to do was fix the water and not to be placated with compliments as I would have loved to use the pool. For me the quality of complaint management is how fast the issue can be resolved and not how much free stuff I get when I complain. I would still recommend to stay here as I loved the hotel otherwise.

Even before I arrived, Phat was already in contact via Whatsapp to make sure of my sooth arrival. I have been welcomed by most hospitable and great people. Patrick did my check in. He was very helpful and it was a smooth process. I got some cold towel, fruits, and juice as soon as I arrived. My room has a lot of space with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed is also huge and very comfortable. Pool area is nice which is open from 9am. Towels are available beside the pool so you don’t have to take one from the room. The restaurant and all its staff are friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks prices are reasonably priced and the good thing is one can pay with credit card. One of the staff, Compus, was really nice and accommodating. Everyone greets you with a smile and listen if you have needs. It feels like home and I really recommend staying here. Lastly, don’t miss the free afternoon tea starting around 3pm or 4pm. Get served some tea, juice, and snacks.

Location, food, room, pool and staff. The Jungle is located only 10 minutes from the busy pub street area along a nice walk through a night market. My family and I had lunch there and all the dishes were very nice. The room is spacious and well designed. The pool and poolside are perfect. The staff went over and above to make us feel welcome and they allowed us to park our car whilst we went on a 9-day trip to Laos. Mr Sok and his team are doing a great job and we are looking forward to seeing them all again when we visit Siem Reap next time

The Jungle (despite its name) is an oasis in the heart of Seam Reap. Top notch facility with a fantastic pool, great service, and nicely provisioned rooms. There’s a gratis tea service in the afternoon , and drinks and food can be delivered to you poolside. After exhausting oneself at the Angkor sites, it feels great to lie back and enjoy the pool scene in the afternoons. The amenities really are first class but the staff is the greatest asset.

- The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Siem Reap, within walking distance of the famous Pub Street and many other tourist attractions. As the hotel is a bit hidden away on a smaller road, it still feels very calm and peaceful. - The infinity pool surrounded by big palm trees and comfortable relax chairs is one of the main highlights of the hotel! The water is a bit chilly, but perfect to cool down as it can get very hot during the day. The pool area feels like a small green oasis, allowing you to quickly escape from the hustle and bustle of the touristy town. - The staff is very friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a big smile on their face. They are also more than happy to inform you of the different activities and book them for you. - I did not have breakfast included, but had a fresh fruit platter at the restaurant. This must have been the best fruit platter I had during my stay in Cambodia. Very fresh and tasty! They also offer complementary afternoon tea and snacks, which are very tasty! - Our room was spacious, tidy, and had everything needed (well functioning air conditioning unit and a safe for your valuable belongings). I enjoyed the simplicity of the room and the cleanness of the bathroom.

This place is a hidden Gem...amazing and relaxing. You will not find a better place to stay and feel like you are truly on vacation to relax. The infinity pool is awesome. After a long day...we were able to relax in our private pool at night on our terms. Best thing ever. I highly recommended this place. The staff is so helpful and quick and the food is even better.

An escape within an escape. The room was delightful and felt like an oasis within the property. I had difficulty justifying leaving the property when so much was available. It was an amazing stay, with a private pool, breakfast included (in-room service, too), and friendly staff.

Booked for a week to spend with my daughter who is getting married soon. Had a swim up room (make sure you ask for one in the sun.) We traded our our shade room for a sunny one much nicer outdoor experience. Loved the beach and adult pool. Food was good especially the pastries!

The facilities at the hotel are excellent. The breakfast is exceptional with a large range to choose from, the fresh fruits were especially good. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location directly onto the beach was superb. We ventured in to Hua HIn a few times and there are some excellent restaurants to try. We had a pool access room, which added to the overall experiences. Finally, this trip was to celebrate my wife's 50th and son's 18th birthdays, and the hotel very kindly arranged for birthdays cakes for them and placed a message on the bed on arrival, very nice touch!!

Totally pleasurable and memorable stay. We had the room with pool access and my wife enjoyed swimming everyday. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus, great for early morning and evening walk/jog. The hotel/resort is also a walking distance to tha Hua Hin Market Village, a shopping mall with alarge Lotus grocery store and 'street food' court in the basement. But above all' the entire staff at the hotel/resort are very profesdional and helpful which made our stay wonderful! AND did I say Food Service and breakfast? Great selection..enjoyed oyr keisurely breakfast!

Amazing experience from check-in to departure. The whole team made our stay extremely enjoyable and relaxed. We had a pool access room which was great and enhanced our overall stay. The proximity to the beach is superb and there are a couple of little local bars and massage places which were very good. The food offering at the resort was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed Dinner at the Big Fish restaurant to celebrate my wife's 50th and Son's 18th birthdays, where the service was excellent. The hotel had kindly arranged two birthday cakes and a message on the bed when we first arrived, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend the Marriott Hua Hin.

Stayed 5 nights.. most impressed with everything here. Welcoming efficient service in all areas. Exceptionally clean and tidy, calm gardens, lots of areas and sun beds to choose from. Beautiful tiered levels of sunbed decking with ocean views. Attentive pool area service. Very comfy sunbeds and huge umbrellas. Pool bar serves delicious food all day. Also you can just scan QR code on your sunbed table and drinks food delivered with a smile. Usually Pluem who is super as are all the staff. A separate adult only quiet lap pool area is available with a fun lazy river flowing from the family pool. Kids water area is under the shade of several huge trees . Staff can’t do enough for you. My door lock battery apparently died and it was mended in a matter of minutes.. immediate service! Our neighbours played very loud music later at night and a quick call to reception was all it took for them to be politely asked to reduce the volume. This hotel works for couples wanting something quieter and also for families as there is enough space and areas for each. Bedrooms are huge .. we had a basic king but it was just wonderful with spacious bathroom, huge comfy bed and pillows. Perfect!

Amazing historical building with beautiful courtyard area for breakfast. Although there are visitors touring throughout the day, the guest areas feel quite private and have a really nice relaxing area both out the front and back of the room (we had pool access room) Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Pool area was really relaxing and a nice escape area to cool down after a busy day. Everything was within walking distance. Staff were super friendly and helpful, parking was easy.

Stayed for 4 nights in April in a pool access room. Loved every minute of the stay. The people were welcoming and the room spacious and one thing I noticed were the towels were really good compared to most places. The breakfast was a mix of buffet style and a good selection of cooked options. The options changed every day. We did the tour which I enjoyed and loved the history. One tip, book your (grab) taxi from the Airport. They seem to charge a surcharge which is fine but just as easy to book your own.

Everything about The Blue Mansion is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We stayed in the Escoy Room….. a huge room which is beautifully decorated and has garden and pool access. The breakfasts were delicious… the afternoon tea treats each day with their poignant messages so sweet. We were very sad to leave this incredible hotel

Such a brilliant stay!! I was blown away by the mansion, such wonderful accommodation. Originally there was a mix up with our booking, however the mansion contacted me months in advance to work it out, and we ended up staying in the Tjong Townhouse for 2 nights and the Han Triple Suite for another 2 nights, plus we were given a complimentary lunch for the trouble. The townhouse was lovely - so spacious and well equipped, and I loved the loft bedroom, it was really easy to keep cool and I didn't have any issues with sound despite the earplugs provided. The mansion also drove us to and from the townhouse whenever needed, including for breakfast when requested, though there was also the easy option to have packaged breakfast dropped off at the townhouse the night prior. We also really enjoyed the Han triple suite, it was comfortable and clean, and the mansion provided lovely little desserts each evening as a cute surprise. The bathroom was spacious and included a bathtub, plus the mansion has a gorgeous pool which we loved using. The cafe and restaurant attached to the mansion are also great, as is the provided breakfast at the mansion - lots of options at the buffet, as well as some meals to order.

We stayed 4 nights and from our arrival following a long-haul flight to our departure we had the best time and 100% would return again. We were looking for something different and staying at this heritage site certainly is a great experience. We enjoyed every aspect of the home of Cheong Fatt Tze and especially the staff who provided excellent hospitality. Special thanks to Jalal and team for wonderful customer service throughout our stay. The breakfasts are good and offer a daily buffet dish (the Nasi Lemak was tasty) and the making of noodle soup too, and breakfast includes set menu dishes to choose from and also a buffet fruit selection. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean and tidy, and spacious. Separate entranceway so guests can easily access outside courtyard and pleasant pool area. Informative and well delivered tour included in stay is recommended early on in your stay to better understand the background stories about the people and building. Staying at Cheong Fatt Tze is great example of a historic building still functioning in today’s world. Recommend if you’re looking for a unique experience.
