Really lovely staff, super relaxing, the beach is technically public but we never saw anyone not from the hotel. Lovely massages and daily yoga class. The villa was spacious and had a lovely private pool. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely recent visit to Le Grand Galle. The hotel was very quiet as it was off season. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a room with a plunge pool. Fabulous! We loved that it was close to town so we could walk to the Fort (even at night). Overall, the hotel is still growing up as it is only a year or two old but the rooms are amazing and the staff is very friendly. We look forward to visiting them again in future.

This property really blew us away, location is literally at the end of the city overlooking the sea and with Galle fort right next to it. The pool and gardens overlook the sea and fort, just lovely. We booked the private pool suite and honestly it was one of the biggest rooms my wife and I have ever stayed in. The washroom alone was as big as many normal hotel rooms. Features in the room, overall comfort was top class. The staff exceptional and super attentive. We literally loved every meal we ate there and that includes the initial day room service which we had to wolf down to catch an evening tour group into Galle fort. We made sure to spend time in the lovely pool every day we were there and ended up having either lunch or dinner at the hotel everyday. This type of room opens into a private garden that overlooks the sea, just beautiful every morning to wake up to it and have your morning coffee or tea.

This is a lovely resort with a private beach. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was all delicious and lots of choice across the three restaurants. The pool villa room we had was amazing with our own private pool. It was really quiet and lovely to sit and relax. Our villa host Yohan was really friendly and helpful, we could WhatsApp him any requests and he would sort them very promptly, and he would pick us up in the electric tuk tuk to transport us around the resort. There is a lovely main pool area and you can access the hotel’s beach easily which has lovely views, although the sea was too rough to swim in. Nice complimentary activities like yoga. The spa is very nicely done with a relaxing atmosphere, although more expensive than other treatments at other Sri Lanka hotels. The resort is well designed and there is wildlife easily seen around the resort like peacocks and monkeys.

Me and my wife visited Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort for a much-needed break, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and peaceful surroundings instantly made us feel relaxed and taken care of. The location is absolutely stunning – nestled between coconut palms and the ocean, it feels like a hidden paradise. We stayed in a Garden pool villa, and it was absolutely perfect – spacious, private, and surrounded by lush greenery. Waking up to birdsong, enjoying coffee by our private pool, and feeling completely disconnected from the outside world was exactly what we needed.. The staff were amazing – friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They made us feel special every step of the way. We also loved the food. Whether it was the breakfast buffet at Journeys, Italian at Il Mare, or authentic Asian cuisine at Verala, specially the authentic Thai dishes made by Chef Punn. Overall, Anantara Tangalle gave us everything we were looking for – peace, privacy, romance, and a real sense of luxury. It was the perfect place to reconnect, and we left feeling refreshed and full of beautiful memories. We’d recommend it to any couple looking for something truly special.

On the plus side : upgraded to a villa with plunge pool. Massive amount of space. Tastefully decorated. Huge bed. Shower was great - lots of hot water and pressure. Massive resort that needs transport to get around, very efficient with the transport service. Staff very polite. Fabulous views from the Italian restaurant - would recommend it for sundowners. On the negative side: massive resort that has no soul. No privacy within the villa at all- anyone can see in at any stage to almost all parts (with the exception of the toilet) of the villa while passing - requires blinds to be drawn which detracts from the experience. Not a great deal on offer for Sri Lankan food, got told that the Sri Lankan themed night was the night before. At the poolside they had one choice which was not vegetarian but discussion resulted in yes veg was possible. Took a seat made our order for vegetarian curry to be told no there was only beef curry available . Got that sorted. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant as it had a selection of Sri Lankan dishes (!!) - worst Kotthu in 3 weeks of travelling - waaay too salty. Could not eat it . Did not get charged for it . Did have a discussion with chef who tasted and agreed. Also in organizing onward transport - a ridiculous price Quoted for hotel transport. Did get an outside tuktuk eventually sorted at more reasonable money.

As soon as we entered the resort area we knew we did the right choice booking this resort. This is a new resort which has been opened two years ago. The ground and the landscaping were perfect. It’s directly on the beach and at the same time you can enjoy the wild life of Sri Lanka. Peacocks, squirrels, different kind of birds, plantation, rice fields, tree house... A group of singers started to sing welcoming us as soon as we entered the open lobby. Then a fresh coconut juice was served. The check in was quick and a personal employee accompanied each of us to the rooms. My room was an ocean view room #313...So beautifully designed and spacious. The bathroom is amazing and well designed. The breakfast was included with the room and you can enjoy a wide selection of food even Indian and Middle Eastern food. We tried all the restaurants at the hotel and the food was tasty. We also tried a set menu dinner with a show. There are 2 pools and a jacuzzi on the pool area. There are many villas with private pools too. A special thanks to Mr. Ravi for his hospitality...He took me for a hotel tour and offered a free boat ride...We planted a coconut tree at the hotel too. He was so friendly and helpful. For sure I will stay here next time I visit Tangalle. Thank you Anantara for making my 1st visit to Sri Lanka an unforgettable experience.

We could not be more thrilled with our experience at Anantara Peace Haven. The whole experience was flawless from before check-in to after check-out. FOOD: The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge range of options that were all delicious. COMFORT: The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. The view was beautiful and the bathroom clean and spacious. ACTIVITIES: The complimentary activities, including yoga, was very much appreciated. POOL/BEACH: Both pools are comfor1table and the nearby beach is excellent for a day relaxing - unfortunately, you cannot swim in this beach due to dangerous currents and waves, however, there are plenty of nearby beaches safe for swimming. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The professionalism and care of the staff is second to none. We had an exceptional experience delivered by all staff on site, including the housekeeping, check-in staff, restaurant service as well as pool/beach guards. We would like to give a very special mention to Yashani de Alwis who truly ent above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay. The personal concierge service is unique and was deeply appreciated. Overall, this place far exceeded our expectations.

The boutique hotel was very chic and modern. Very clean and nice sun beds and pool. The staff was extremely nice and made sure all of our needs were addressed. The hotel room was very clean and beautiful. The suite with the private pool was one of the best rooms I have stayed in and had very modern interior design. The room was spotless and spacious and we all had a lot of space. The communication prior to arrival was very good via email as I wanted to get a car service to pick us up from the airport. Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

we stayed in the triple O Six suite and it was the most incredible room I have every stayed in. Absolutely huge, sea view, lovely private pool and very modern and clean. Such a lovely hotel with the nicest staff. We stayed for 4 nights and was the perfect end to our Sri Lanka trip! our room was so clean with an amazing bathroom with rain shower. The balcony overlooking the pool was great. The hotel being new means the facilities are in excellent condition. The restaurant was nice and air conditioned, with the breakfast buffet having a range of western and asian options. Being vegetarian, there wasn't a lot on the menu for us, but the chef happily adapted dishes to suit our needs. There wasn't a bar at the time of our visit but this was coming in the next few days we were told as the licensing was coming through being such a brand new hotel. The pool was such a great addition to our stay, able to cool of after a sweltering day whale watching. The hotel were happy to arrange any excursions that we wanted including whale watching and the spas.

First of all I would like to thank the hotel owner Niroshan and his wife Lakshmi for their hospitality and for making everything for our comfortable stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is located in a picturesque village just above the Madhu River. The rooms have a beautiful view of the river, islands and jungle. There are only six rooms in the hotel, so Niroshan can give enough time and attention to each of the guests. Start your day with the pool and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious and quite varied. Niroshan is a wonderful cook with years of experience, so be sure to try the dishes prepared by him. Our stay here fell on New Year's Eve, which we decided to celebrate at the hotel, which we never regretted. The hotel team organized for us an unforgettable evening with delicious food, wine, fireworks and national dances. Especially memorable was the excursion to a tea plantation and a tea factory. You should definitely visit it, you will learn a lot of interesting things about the technology of harvesting and production, as well as taste very tasty tea. Niroshan is a very interesting person and will gladly tell you about the specifics of life on the island, local traditions and history. I did not want to leave. But we will definitely come back, because there is still so much to see on the island, so much to try!

I don't know where to start. The place is just magical. It's completely in nature and has an amazing view over the lake. The surroundings are peaceful far away from any noise. The rooms are the biggest I've stayed in here in Sri Lanka and very luxurious. Also the balcony is huge and you can sit down and just enjoy the view on bird island and the lake as well as from your bed when you're waking up. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing and I had it all by myself. Besides the great place the hospitality was on a next level. My mornings have started with a refreshing homemade juice/smoothie that was brought to my room and free of charge. What a great start to the day. Furthermore, the owner arranged a private boat tour on the lake to visit the small islands such as Cinnamon island and I even could see a small crocodile on the tour. The tour took over 3 hours and it was no mass tour. Also, he recommended a great tour guide for Yala National Park and Ella. The dinner I had at the hotel was amazing. You can taste that he was previously working in a 5 star restaurant as a chef. Thanks again for everything and I definitely will come back the next time I'm visiting Sri Lanka.

Everything was perfect! The host with his family and staff was so kind to us and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights but would have liked to stay a little longer. The swimming pool was clean and a nice temperature, the food was delicious and made with love. The view on the lake was so beautiful. This was the best room we got during our 28 days stay in Sri Lanka. It was very clean, the shower was good and it was nicely designed. Extra compliments for the owner, the family and the staff! They were smiling all the time. We can't thank them enough for our experience

Beautiful artistic building (inside and outside) in a even more beautiful scenery looking out over the lake. Turned out that the owner is also chef, and a great one. The food, the service, the views, the pool, the terrace, the rooms and all the personal artwork scattered around the hotel is amazing. Don't hesitate, book this place. You will love it.

The hosts were very accommodating and got anything that we requested. The view of the lake was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. These days in Sri Lanka it is hard to find a vacation spot that is not crowded but this place was perfectly quiet. Also the room was amazing! The pool was beautifully kept and maintained.

An oasis of beauty and tranquility. Just eight rooms, more like a home than a hotel. Such peaceful views across the lawn onto the beach through ancient trees. It’s on a very rare patch of Sri Lankan beach with no other hotels or restaurants, just the local fishermen. It’s a magical stretch of beach with hardly any tourists on it. The powerful waves means its not ideal for swimming. But if you walk around the corner 15 min away there is a calmer huge beach, but much more crowded and built up . I did have a quick dip every day, but better to swim around the corner . On the way is a rock jacuzzi pool perfect for young kids, and very popular with the locals at the week end. I discovered it’s co owned/managed by a norwegian so the material standards are really high, beautiful local furniture, gorgeous interior decoration, sophisticated simplicity or is it Asian elegant ‘hygge’ ? The food is delicious, beautifully presented with a choice of local and international dishes, fairly priced as well. As a solo traveller it’s a real haven. The staff are particularly kind and attentive. The manager even called me at 22.00 when I wasn’t back to check all was ok.

We loved everything: the rooms were large and with beautiful design, everything super clean; very confortable bed. At one point we were the only guests (our group) since it is a small resort. The pool is amazing, food was perfect. It s best to preorder, so you don t wait. Try Tomato and Orange soup, my favorite, also shrimps, pasta, lamb.. they have a very good Chef. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The nearby Balapytia beach was so beautiful, we saw a wonderful sunset from the rocks. It was splendid to relax here after visiting the island. It was one if the 2 best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only 5 km to River Madu boat tour. 30-40 min to Hikkaduwa to see turtles.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it felt like a hidden paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a fruit platter, chocolates, and delicious Sri Lankan sweets in our room. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious, especially the continental and American dishes. Everything was perfect. The hotel boasts a big swimming pool and a beautifully scenic beach atmosphere. My room had a jacuzzi on the balcony directly facing the sea, creating an amazing ambiance with the ocean and pool outside. The rooms were spacious with lovely décor, and the beds were really comfortable. Overall, I had an amazing stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The service was on a very high level - the staff paid attention even to small details. The room and bathroom were big and comfortable with nice balcony and view. The common areas (restaurant, pool, beach) were large so that it didn’t feel crowded at any time. I recommend the spa service - the massages and other treatments we did were really good.

Location was splendid, you have private access to a section of the beach. Lifeguards are on duty on the beach and around the pool. The staff across Aditya are so receptive, they go out of their way to make it an incredible stay for you whether you are there one night or more.

Fabulous boutique hotel. The staff were attentive and always happy to cater to our needs. The room was clean and comfortable, plus we had our own plunge pool which was perfect. The food was delicious and flavourful. The grounds are neatly kept and it was nice to see chipmunks and mongoose roaming around. During our stay, there were many other couples enjoying their stay, in a comfortable quiet and relaxing atmosphere. No kids to be seen which made it even more wonderful to unwind. We will be back.

All our requests (even the extra ones 😅) were taken care of with pleasure. Service at the restaurant was always top-notch — special thanks to Rohan and all the waiters for their wonderful hospitality! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the whole area is spotless. The pool was cleaned every day, just like the beach area. Our room was made up daily with fresh towels and new bedsheets — super clean! The restaurant is honestly the best we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Breakfast (included in the stay) was made with fresh ingredients and looked amazing. We especially loved the traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Dinner felt like a celebration every night — the menu is huge, and every single dish we tried was 10/10, especially the seafood! The chef always came by to check on us and have a nice chat — such a lovely touch. We were treated incredibly well for the whole week and honestly didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for exceptional service, aesthetic interiors, spotless cleanliness, and the most delicious food — you’ll truly enjoy the island to the fullest! ❤️

Warm welcome with cold towels and afternoon tea. Our twin bedded room wasn’t huge but more than adequate. Comfy bed, good pillows and quality of bedding. Wonderful bathroom with bath and rainforest shower. Lovely products and strong hairdryer. The villa is perfectly situated on a wonderful sandy beach - there are some beach bars and restaurants if needed. However the food in the hotel is amazing and of similar price so to be honest I would just eat here. In addition to the fab beach there is a small swimming pool. As mentioned above the food is of top quality. Breakfast was outstanding - either Sri Lankan or continental including freshly made juices, cut fruit and a good choice of hot dishes. Coffee was the best we had in our 10 days in Sri Lanka. Both our evening meals were also faultless. Nice touch that they offer complimentary king coconut mid morning and afternoon tea All staff are very helpful but Special mention to Janaka, Sanjevee and the Executive Chef who kindly gave me a cookery lesson. Would highly recommend this very well run boutique hotel.

New, exceptionally stylish property that was celebrating its 1 year anniversary while we stayed…we got a delicious piece of birthday cake! The location is excellent with direct access to a nice beach (which has a few restaurants and bars within walking distance) and easy reach of a turtle sanctuary definitely worth visiting, as well as a great beach bar called Waves a short Tuk Tuk ride away. You have the choice of cooling down in the ocean or in the hotel’s exquisite pool and, as is typical throughout Sri Lanka, it’s the lovely people who make a place special and this hotel is no exception. Choice of Western or Sri Lankan breakfast, both of which were plentiful. You won’t be disappointed if you book to stay at this hotel. We were sorry to leave.

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The design of the hotel is stunning, staff very friendly and helpful, spoiled us during all our stay. We enjoyed our time so much the time spent at Villa Thamburu and we thought to expend few more days but we had work duty and was not possible. The suite Pedro, our accommodation, was extremely comfortable and perfect for a romantic time! Food was good and hotel very clean. The public beach outside is beautiful but not suitable for swimming however we enjoyed our lazy chill in the hotel beach and pool.

Perfect hotel, very close to beach. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun by the sea or poolside. Rooms are spotless and spacious with everything laid out well. All food is freshly cooked and the service flawless. We were looked after incredibly well by Anura and Dominic who could not do enough to help. Many thanks to all the staff.

The hotel was beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. The railway is at the end of the garden and is occasionally noisy but I loved it. I would recommend staying here as a couple for relaxation.

It’s so peaceful with the perfect combination of sea, beach and mangroves. Really beautiful. We stayed in the Kurumba House and honestly I cannot compliment the staff enough. A particular call out to Donald who looked after us and made sure we wanted for nothing. Our privacy was respected and Donald shared his WhatsApp number so we could message when we wanted something. He made sure the villa was always perfect for us and when we wanted time on the beach that we were also looked after. All of the staff have a wonderful nature and were so welcoming. The main villa is beautiful and from what we could see all of the rooms were really lovely. They work on small number of rooms with lots of different living spaces so it feels boutique. Kurumba house was stunning. We loved the outdoor veranda and the private pool, which was a sublime temperature. Whilst we were at the beach for sunset, the house lights were put on and lots of candles made it a lovely welcome back. Meal times are always flexible around your time table so didn’t feel rushed to a schedule and we ate at the House with Donald looking after us and making sure whilst we ate, our bedroom got the turn down service. We were really sorry to leave. Thanks to all of the team. It was wonderful

Beautiful villa with comfortable rooms and an amazing bathroom! Direct beach access at a swimmable beach and lovely pool too. Breakfasts were tasty, we didn’t eat other meals at the property. One thing to note is food and beverage pricing isn’t all inclusive , taxes and service fees are added on top. staff were super friendly and couldn’t help enough.

To say this place is spectacular is an understatement. We booked for 2 days and extended for 2 more as we simply fell in love with it straight away. The property sits on a gorgeous quiet beach with blue water, rolling waves and lovely soft sand - you cannot believe that it feels like your own beach! Our room/s are decorated beautifully we no details spared - your privacy is guaranteed with only 8 rooms and discreetly partitioned if you want you own space. Meals are served on your own balcony whenever you need. The icing on the cake at Taru is the exceptional service - always generous, helpful and relaxed. We have been totally spoilt rotten for 4 days. Thank you so much to Mal, Rupa, Sanjeeva and the team for looking after us so well. We will be certain to return soon. If you are in the area and considering Taru - spoil yourself for a few days - you wont regret it!

My wife and I had an amazing stay for our honeymoon. The location is so peaceful, with the beach behind the hotel being so beautiful. The food prepared at the hotel was simply stunning! We had a daily set menu with choices, and the menu was great, food portions were generous and tasted amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only slight negative about this place is the wifi is very temperamental (not always a bad thing). It can feel a little sleepy through the day, but if you’re looking for undisturbed peacefulness, this place is perfect!

We had a fantastic stay at this property, it was very intimate and had a boutique feel. The beach was very quiet with very little people. Staff was great all around.

Haritha villa and spa is an extraordinary hotel. I spent 3 nights there with my wife and two children aged 13 and 11. It is set in beautiful green surroundings just 5-10 minutes from the coast. There are only 9 quite secluded villas. We stayed in the second largest one with private pool. We had half board. The food was absolutely amazing! A la carte menu with great choice and fresh sea food. There is a spa on site which look fantastic. We used the small gym there. The staff are very friendly. The quality of the accommodation and food was very high and stood out for Sri Lanka. We had spent a few nights in Weligama bay before here and the peace and tranquility of Haritha villas was perfect after the busy more colourful time in Weligama. We went whale watching on our final morning and even though it is supposedly not the season for it we saw 6-7 whales which was great. Would recommend using the private boat the hotel organises rather than the bigger busier boats. Overall it is a wonderful resort worth every penny.

Everything about this hotel was just spectacular. The best service and client oriented experience I ever had. The contemporary villa with private pool was absolutely stunning and couldn’t ask for anything more. We had the most amazing private butler Lasantha who took care of us from the first moment we arrived and offered us the best treatment possible which made the whole trip to Sri Lanka memorable. The chef is absolutely fantastic and literally everything we ate was delicious. The massage therapists pampered us and gave us the most relaxing hours. Mr Axel the general manager insured we have such a private and peaceful environment in this resort that there is not a single detail to complain about. We recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting Sri Lanka especially that is hijabi friendly!

We had a wonderful and amazing one-night full board stay at Sheraton Turtle Beach Resort Kosgoda! We reserved a garden-view room with a plunge pool, which was private, relaxing, and perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the service throughout our stay was remarkable. Specially thanks to the reception staff, Dilshan and the entire team were courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with genuine care. The service was excellent.

I have stayed in this area 8 times in various hotels and this is definitely the BEST food! I was really impressed with both the buffet and room service in terms of quality and range, especially the egg free breakfasts and labelling on menus. The vegetable lasagne on room service is incredible, highly recommend. Room is clean and plunge pool immaculate, no complaints at all.

The villa is spectacular and although we did not meet the hosts they were very responsive to messages. The villa is big, comfortable, good shower and lovely swimming pool. Importantly, it is in an ideal location, the beach just 150 meters and about the same for a variety of shops. We are a couple but this would be an ideal place for a family as I'm sure children would happily spend all day in the pool (and then sleep very well at night 😉).

Charming villa with elegant decor and all the amenities needed. Convenient location for everything. Beaches, restaurants, supermarkets are within 5-10 minutes ride. The owner, Mr. Tharuka was very much responsive and helpful when we had a few issues with the kitchen. Nice clean pool was the highlight. The privacy issue of the pool and the garden has been fixed.

We were the first guests to stay at Thaprobana villa and we had a lovely time. We arrived very late due to an emergency but the owners were very accommodating and welcomed us with smiling faces even at 11 PM. The villa is newly built and has a simple yet elegant design. There's ample parking space outside and the villa is very private. The owners live close by and drop by in the morning to clean the villa. We didn't have any meals here but there's a small kitchen if you need to cook anything. As it was off-season, there weren't many restaurants open nearby but this wasn't an issue for us. The bathrooms are beautifully designed with a rain shower and the rooms are spacious. The pool is the best feature of the villa and we loved cooling off during the hot afternoon sun. The beach close to the villa is beautiful, however, it isn't suitable for swimming. There is a protected area for swimming close to the harbour (about a 10-minute walk), although it can get quite crowded on weekends.

Our stay at this villa was absolutely exceptional! The place is stunning – spacious, beautifully decorated, with a breathtaking view and a wonderful pool that was perfect for relaxing. The villa is well-equipped, spotless, and very well-maintained. The biggest highlight was the host – incredibly kind, helpful, welcoming, and attentive. Thanks to him, we truly felt at home. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. We would love to come back again! Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic. Great place to just chill by the pool, you can even barbecue on the grill! It is very close from the beach and from the shops, yet it is really calm place. The owner is very helpful and kind. You will definitely have a feeling of living in a luxury villa which is really affordable and not overpriced! I can definitely recommend the this place.

The loveliest stay at The Harding Boutique Hotel! We only had one night to spend in Ahangama and we're just so glad that we chose this hotel to spend it at. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome on arrival, the room was just beautiful - super clean, beautifully decorated and had the most incredible view. They kindly upgraded us on arrival and we were so grateful as the room was just beautiful. I also have to mention the toiletries in the bathroom are all Grown Alchemist which felt like a total luxury after weeks of using basic soap. The breakfast was incredible (we both decided it was the best of our whole trip) and the whole vibe was just perfect. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it's the perfect plunge pool and it's literally a two minute walk from the beach. The location is also ideal, just a few minutes from the row of restaurants and bars and it still felt like a bustling town not a tourist hot spot. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer! We'll be back!

beautiful property that looked like the pictures. very fresh modern with nice finishings (glasses, towels etc) no expense spared in making it comfortable. it is really small but never seemed too busy by pool (which we worried about initially as the pool is very small) but people seemed to roam in and out as it’s in a good location to beach bars and restaurants. staff were really lovely and accommodating. has a nice rooftop bar and everything we ate was great from breakfast to dinner

The staff is just outstanding! Everybody is very friendly, thought- and helpful. The fact that the house only accommodates 6 rooms gives a very exclusive feeling and so it also doesn’t really matter, that the pool is a bit small - but the beach (aka the big pool) is just a few steps away. We really loved to stay 5 nights there in total and definitely recommend a visit!

Overall a great place to stay! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The view overlooks Ahangama beach. The pool is slightly small but serves the purpose of being a chill pool. There is direct access to the beach from the property. Their breakfast menu is good too. Overall I had a fabulous stay!

Beautiful boutique hotel. Location is perfect, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. We had a room in the adjacent building. It was compact, on ground level without a view or balcony (you get what you pay for and the price was reflective of not having these extras), but it was all we really needed and the bed and pillows were soooo comfortable! Shower was huge and the air con worked great. The hotel is situated down a side road off the main road, so we had no issues with noise and security was present day/ night. Breakfast is also worth a mention - a large selection to choose from and absolutely delicious. The pool is small, but so is the hotel, so often you have it to yourself. Loved that this hotel was ‘adult only,’ as it made the experience very peaceful. The staff were also very lovely and attentive. A couple hotel dogs onsite which was an absolute bonus for us. We loved seeing that these dogs were cared for, allowed to lounge around the hotel in the shade and cash in on some of our brekkys!

Beautiful location in Yala close to the National Park. We had the villa with a private pool and felt like we were the only ones there as it was nestled in a corner of the property surrounded by nature. The pool after a safari was perfect 👌 Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast in the treetop on our last morning was amazing. Very cute dogo as well!

We had such an amazing trip at Tribe. We were kindly upgraded to one of their nicest rooms, very secluded and a beautiful private pool. The food was great and we never ate in the same place twice. Dinner by the bonfire, a private dinner for two under candlelight, lunch by the river on the safari and a canopy breakfast with the birds! The staff there really went above and beyond. Our safari was great, and we were lucky to see the first black leopard at Yala ever recorded. Our guide took some great photos of the wildlife we saw and emailed them to us after. All in all, would highly recommend.

Everything. The location is amazing, no fences or electric to keep out wildlife so it's wild and beautiful. You can walk to the beach and to a nearby waterhole from your accom (not after dark!) You do need to be careful but that's half the attraction. Two daily (optional) safaris were included with our stay which were brilliant, we saw so much amazing wildlife both on these and also a fair amount in and around the resort itself. Staff were friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to make us feel at home and welcome. It was our honeymoon so we had a lovely dinner on the sand on our last night and they brought us a surprise celebration cake for our dessert which was such a lovely touch. Accommodation was lovely, air con yet rustic feel to it was perfect in nearly 40 degree C heat plus a plunge pool.

Uga chena huts were like a heaven on earth. Amazing scenery, amazing ambience , amazing eco friendly architecture , amazing team to take care of you and pamper you with attention and great food presented in Michelin star way. The hotel in the midst of national forest with private jacuzzi pool overlooking the forest was a treat. The care provided by staff was heart touching . Every small details were taken care of making the stay really memorable

we had one night at this beautiful hotel, unfortunately is was raining a lot that day so we also didn’t could go to the safari that was planned or enjoy the pool, of cause that isn’t the staffs fault cause no one can control the weather, it was just a shame, instead they offered us both an hour of massage so that was very nice - good service

This hotel is amazing, don't think about it, just go! - The staff are the kindest and most attentive we've met. They anticipate, adapt, are proactive and are exceptionally kind. Whether it's the waiters (special thanks to the king of kings Chinthaka but also to Nuwan & Chamara), the Rangers and their detailed explanations, the cleaning staff or the reception staff, they make the experience truly unique. - The food is delicious and varied. You'll find great Western and local dishes on the menu at every meal. Special thanks to the chef for his special creations. - the individual huts are magnificent, clean and very pleasant. - the safaris are very interesting and you can see dozens of animals (elephants, crocodiles, leopards etc) in sumptuous landscapes. - finally, thank you again to the staff for all the little personal touches and activities they offered us. In short, everything was perfect, you don't have to think about anything and just enjoy this timeless place.

Gorgeous location tucked away on a private chunk of land connected to Yala park. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you are safe and have everything you need. I can’t say enough about the food! We only stayed for one night as we were moving quickly between locations while there, but should have booked minimum 2 nights. Would be perfect location for a honeymoon. Amenities are out of this world. Our guide for the safari was very informative and easy to chat with. I was happy to hear that the company provides the guides who can explain the animals in English, but hire jeeps and drivers from the local villages to distribute the benefits of the tourism dollars around. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

Fantastic location on the beach, ask for a ground floor sea facing room, french windows open out to pool area and pool overlooks the beach - stunning. Had a great experience at Pandanus Beach Resort. Everything: location, room, restaurant, view, pool, beach was absolutely delightful! Hotel Staff members were friendly and very helpful. Everything was immaculate, clean and tidy. Pleasant surprise was an invitation to cocktail party by the Hotel management, where we had amazing time communicating with other guests and having delicious drinks. Left with lots of amazing memories staring with early morning walks on the beach, relaxing time on sunbed and warm waves of the ocean, dinners with delicious food and life music…. If I ever return to Sri Lanka, the Pandanus Beach Resort is the Hotel I am definitely going to stay!

Everyone was so kind especially to our two young kids and the food was so delicious and the pool so serene with monkeys playing in the trees and beautiful birds to watch! What an incredible place!

We visited Coconut Grove for a family trip and will cherish the memories we made there forever. This property is stunning, with a cozy, home-like atmosphere. Kumudu and Pradeep are warm & kind people who provided us with exceptional service & made us delicious food. Three of the four bathrooms feature an open outdoor style shower & all the bedrooms have mosquito nets, which made sleeping ultra comfortable. The property is impeccably maintained, and the pool is spotless. I highly recommend this property for groups of up to 8 people.

This property is absolutely gorgeous and has a warm home feel to it. The support staff - Kumudu and Pradeep - do a fantastic job to meet all our needs. The food was delicious and left us wanting more! The beds are very comfortable. 3 out of 4 bathrooms have an open air part which is an amazing feel! The property itself is maintained very well and the pool is clean. I would definitely recommend this property for upto 8 people to stay at.

I dont know where to start really! Stunning architecture, lush beautiful gardens and pool. So quiet and peaceful. Staff is so attentive without being overbearing. Food and cocktails also really high quality. Afternoon tea and treats was beautiful. I loved just chilling by the pool and watching the Frangipani trees and listen to the birds. I hardly ever rate 10 but its well deserved- this is a gem! Had the best time!

We loved our stay here. Everything is arranged for in detail. The location is beautiful, super spacious and calm. Relaxing at the pool was amazing and it is super close to the beach (a quiet part), where there are also some beach chairs, towels and drinking water. We had a little porch attached to our room which we also loved. The food was really good as well.

Everything was gorgeous from the moment you arrived. The staff were exceptional in every way and very helpful with local questions. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated as was the whole hotel. The setting was stunning with the pool, lawn and then the beach. Attention to detail was next to none. I really hope we can visit again one day. Don’t hesitate book now!

Utterly amazing. The rooms and grounds are immaculate, not a leaf in sight or a grain of sand anywhere! The staff are the most attentive (but not intrusive) and dedicated staff we have ever witnessed. The food is impeccable and we think worthy of a Michelin Star (apparently Michelin is not yet in Sri Lanka). The location is perfect and one walks from the gardens across a train track, authentic and charming, to the amazing white sand beach. On return from the beach a staff member gave us a fresh fruit ice lolly. In summary, you would be mad not to stay here, utterly fantastic and all credit to Anjana the manager for running such a great hotel and team.

Pool was really great, you can use it anytime you want and it's 1.2m to 2m deep, excellent. Villa was very clean and spacious. You get a number to local tuktuk driver if you need to go quickly to the city/beach and he was always available. Same as a security guy leaving nearby who closes the gate for the night time and cleans the pool every morning. It was really a great experience and we 100% recommend this place.

The villa was lovely and comfortable. It was wonderful to have a pool to swim in. The pool was a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures, but that was fine for our small family, My children and I never wanted to get out. The garden is beautiful and well looked after. I liked the location, it was about a 5 minute drive to Dalawella beach where we saw sea turtles.

The greatest thing is awesome pool and cute villa. The cleaning is also very proper. We have everything that we need including washing machine with dryer, Bluetooth speaker, TV and full equipped kitchen.

The private pool was amazing overlooking the sea, plenty of wildlife around to immerse yourself in. Sanjeewa’s cocktails were fantastic, he is a very talented mixologist. It was our 2nd wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond when finding this out with a private dinner with fireflies around us as well as a birthday cake made on the day! The couples oil massage was incredible and was such a great experience!

This place is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so wonderful. It’s a gorgeous, architect-designed oasis leading onto a peaceful beach, with 2 pools, one being a natural pool surrounded by amazing vegetation. The rooms are lovely, with huge, very comfortable beds and there was complementary yoga each morning. The staff team are so friendly and warm - special mentions to the Director Fabian and to Kavi, who helped look after us and was especially caring to our two children. The cooks are also really excellent - if you appreciate good food you will be so happy here. The kids were delighted to spot monkeys and monitor lizards on their first day, and to visit the adjacent turtle rehabilitation centre. I was a little nervous about taking our two kids to such a quiet, peaceful place, not wanting to disturb other adult guests but needn’t have worried - the property is so spacious it often felt like we had it to ourselves.

This property is a little gem!! It is much better than advertised on their website!! Located in a very wide area of nature, we felt very privileged since there are very few guests.. There are so many staff attending to everyone needs and the beach is truly precious, beautiful and clean and we were almost the only ones there!! In addition they have a good outdoor pool and a lovely and clean natural pool, an amazing Spa and Ioga facilities. In our room, we had all comfort including coffee and tea facilities and a very hot shower!! We had several requests outside of the box such as : iphone charger, toys for the beach, special drinks and they were answered in no time!!! They have a very good barman too, which was surprising to us! Thank you to all the lovely people of the resort!!

Wow wow wow, what a stunning beachside property. We knew it was wellness focused (which my wife loved - especially the massages and sauna!) but there was so much more to this unique property like enjoying a cold drink by lovely pool or relaxing on the deserted beach. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and well thought out with a private veranda. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We stayed in the honeymoon tent which was beautiful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a lovely private pool and lots of space to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and made our stay wonderful. I’d highly recommend. It was also only a 20 min drive to Yala Safari Park so close by.

We stayed at the new Villa. That was perfect for family since it’s huge two story villa and has a private pool. Initially I was bit nervous because there were almost no information about this villa. But we recognized that’s because this facility opened in the end of this month (Dec. 2024). Once my family arrived at this villa, we were immediately fascinated by this villa and great hospitality of the staff. I can recommend this although the gramping camp sites should be also good. In addition, location is good. We can enjoy game safaris for both Yala National Park and Udawalawe National Park since it’s located between both national parks. Finally, I was very satisfied with the email communication with Ms. Sonali Lowe (Manager - Sales & Reservations) prior to our stay, as it was both prompt and precise.

Amazing place! We had a such a great time staying at the Eco lodge with five star service from everyone at the Flameback , food are lovely and the swimming pool is well maintained we didn't want to leave! The lodge is not far from Hilton but the experience at this place was nothing to compare. We saw all the wild life, the beautiful sun rise , there were over 100 species of birds around the place. The pre drink by the lake and log fire watching little fireflies twinkling about was such a special experience. Really highly recommended.

We booked the honeymoon suite which was spacious and clean. The best part was the monkeys that love to come and visit . The staff went all out with an evening bonfire and cocktails by the lake . The pool is a great size to go for a proper swim . They have a great spa which is elevated amoungst the trees . I had a fabulous foot massage. ❤️

Impressed with the food and thought it was very reasonably priced, despite there being little choice of where to go as the hotel is far from anywhere else. Pool lovely. What a magical place to stay with the best sunsets. Incredible location right on the sea. Newly renovated with all rooms sea facing, so you can’t go wrong. Stunning pool overlooking the sea with pool bar and wonderful attentive service. The staff were extremely accommodating and so friendly, making my stay over my birthday super special. Very stylish and elegant property with amazing service and dedicated team. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The large pool and all the outdoor areas around it are just fantastic. The food is great - from wonderful breakfasts to delicious lunches and dinners (and they can make food that is not on the menu if you ask - we recommend crab booked in wine). Crystal Sands offered a beachfront view and good breakfast. The main pool had a beautiful view and the private plunge pool also provided a good option. Housekeeping was very good, especially Dileepa and Shammi. Restaurant food and drink was also good.

The boys came in and cleaned the room every day, They replaced the water,cola, and soft drinks, The balcony was huge, overlooked the beach/sea and we both spent time in our plunge pool, watch the world go by and the amazing sunsets.

We had an amazing time there. The plunge pool was amazing with a beach view. It is one of the best hotel i have visited. The room service is really fast and food was scrumptious. You have everything you want in the hotel.

Once in a while, you find hidden gems that exceed expectations. Nil Ralla is such a place. Where do I start? The villa, which we had solely to ourselves, was exceptional. Comfortable, peaceful (even next to a busy road), and watching the sea from your private pool was very relaxing. Gayan and his crew of two made us feel welcome the minute we arrived. They made all our meals fresh by hand and to order. He even went out and bought us some beer and gin after a chat we had. Awesome service. The food was exceptional, and on our last night, we had a lovely candle lit fish dinner at the end of the garden by the sea. Nimali, who overseas the property, who was an excellent contact prior to our arrival, came to see us mid week to ask if all was okay. We discussed a couple of small options to make it even better, which he took on board and is acting upon. That in itself is rare and speaks volumes about all the staff just wanting you to be happy and have a good time. Spoke to one of the neighbours, who was very nice and a few others passing on the beach. Everyone is so friendly. Sri Lanka is a special place, and Nil Ralla is a perfect spot to enjoy all that the south of the island offers. I wholeheartedly recommend this villa. You will not be disappointed. We were very sad to leave. Whatever you do, take a bus ride to Galle Fort. Tickets are 25p each, and the ride is somewhat rapid in a pimped up bus. Awesome fun 👍

It is a small and cozy mini hotel. Brand new. Very clean rooms, bathroom and territory. There is a fantastic pool and sun beds. It is close to the ocean. But the most important is the staff. Very friendly and helpful, they will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Absolutely love this place and 100% we will come back.

The staff are amazing at this property, they go above and beyond and are an asset. Beautiful rooms and grounds, very clean. Lovely food you must try the Sri Lankan breakfast. Only negatives, the beach is not suitable for swimming but Dalawella beach is a 1km walk which was lovely. And the building works next door were very noisy. We booked a private pool suite but we’re unable to enjoy our pool due to the construction noise. This would usually have been enough to make me leave but everything else was just perfect and more than made up for it. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, it is more like a deluxe villa. It only has 10 rooms. From start to finish this place was magically. The food is amazing thanks to the wonderful cheif everything from local food to if you fancy a cheeky burger. The pool is stunning and it is right on the beach so you can hear the sea all the time. The beach is beautiful. Plus there is someone who comes to the hotel and can give you a massage, which was amazing! It's a 10min tuk tuk ride from the main beach. Sanjeewa really made our stay. He was so attentive and was so kind. He could sort everything from a tuk tuk to a whale trip. All the staff were amazing but only managed to catch Lakindu name. We couldnt have asked for a better holiday. Thank you to everyone at the Era Beach hotel it was the best holiday ever. We will be back one day!!

We loved our stay at Era Beach. The hotel is beautiful and well looked after. We had a sea view room which was beautiful. Bed very comfy and spacious room. The breakfast included was also really nice - fresh fruit followed by cooked breakfast. The hotel has a nice size pool which was very clean. The hotel was right on the beach but you could not lay on the sand or swim in the sea. However a short walk along if you wanted some beach and a sea swim. The food menu for lunch and dinner was also good! I would definately recommend if you are looking for a chill out hotel away from the hussle of the town - about 10 minutes tuk tuk from Unawatuna. The only downside was the road noise in the morning (but didn't really bother us). Thanks so much Era Beach for our stay!

This hotel is so beautiful and is exactly like their pictures. We've stayed in hotels all over the world and this is really something special. The staff are wonderful. They are really helpful but they also leave you alone when you want to just relax and enjoy the views. The food is top quality and everything is fresh. There are only a few guests so we always had the pool to ourselves and the beach in front is empty and beautiful. I wish I could live there!

A stunningly beautiful location just 10 minutes by tuk tuk to Galle Fortress. This boutique hotel is the perfect place to relax - staff are warm and welcoming, rooms superb and outlook over pool to Indian Ocean sheer magic. Was very hard to leave!

We had a great overnight stay. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the plunge pool. You really feel like you are closely connected to nature at the camp. The staff were friendly and provided a great service. The location of the camp is also excellent - it's close to one of the main entrances to Yala National Park but not the main entrance used by all of the other properties, so you encounter far less traffic during the game drives. We enjoyed two game drives - one in the evening and one in the morning - and were lucky to be rewarded with excellent game viewings.

I loved my stay here! I arrived and got a yummy lunch and then was off on my first safari. I came back to a delicious outdoor candlelit meal- and everything made for me was vegan the entire stay- it was all very delicious and big portions. I loved the location as it was close to the north entrance and block 1 and it is far less busy as the other entrance, so entering Yala National Park. was easy and quick. My guide Dhanu was enthusiastic, engaging and so much fun to be on safari with. We spotted a leopard and a 4 month old cub and it was magical. I learnt so much from him too! My room was very comfortable, it had everything I needed, and I loved the plunge pool for cooling down after safaris during the day and late night with having the pool lights on. I enjoyed speaking with who I think is the manager- he has a wealth of wisdom and has great stories. His passion for nature is inspiring. If you love nature, this is the place to stay, and your gateway to Yala National Park.

We've stayed for one night at Leopard Trails and it was a great experience! The program sounds like a rush upfront if you just have one night, but it wasn't stressful at all. The service personal did everything to ensure that we have an enjoyable stay! The food was delicious and the "tents" are super luxurious! And the pool is the best place for a quick refreshing. We were lucky and could watch a huge group of buffalos out of our bed in the morning! Also the bonfire and the dinner with the other guests under the stars was unforgettable! Additionally extra wishes were considered in regards to food. Our Safari Guide Hasantha did a fantastic job! He answered all our questions and was always reliable. Thanks again for having us!

Everything at Leopard Trails was absolutely perfect. Rooms (lakeside) Elegantly decorated, classic without feeling outdated. All facilitates were provided, including incredible aircon! Felt super luxe! Location Close to the entrance of Yala. we were first there for the morning safari. The People So attentive, went above and beyond to make the stay special. Great food. Safari we went out twice, the morning and evening. If we could have our time again, we would have done three in total. The team were very respectful of the animals, never getting too close and taking great pride in seeing them in their natural habitat. A HUGE shoutout to our tour guide Ashan who made our experience one that we will never forget. He is incredibly knowledgable, super passionate which made us even more excited, as well as knowing a lot about the bigger creatures he took much care and joy in the smaller ones too (side note, insane bird knowledge!). I even got a little photography tutorial, which meant that I could photograph the beautiful creatures with my new found skills. Would 100% recommend booking your stay here.

My second journey to Sri Lanka was now, March 2021, and I deliberately have chosen the UTMT as my second quarantine hotel. It was like three and half years ago: very pleasant, nice location, very good food, very good service and some amenities like a big, usable pool, afternoon tea and cakes/fruit, free phone calls, yoga lessons etc. The rooms are extremely interesting, with lots of detail, and with a small private pool. All together the premise is exceptional as are their prices; I could come more often if there wasn't the price ... I have to think twice ... what a pity.

This hotel provides a unique and exceptional Ayurvedic experience in a luxurious setting. Every detail is carefully considered to ensure a top-notch guest experience, from the warm airport welcome with fresh fruit to the nightly mosquito net setup and luxurious towels. The pool is stunning, and the spa is expertly managed. During our 8-night stay, I indulged in Ayurvedic treatments while my husband enjoyed his own activities. He appreciated the delicious food and coffee options. I had daily consultations with the doctor and relaxing massages, which left me feeling rejuvenated, healthy, and clear-minded. I am grateful to the dedicated staff at this outstanding resort for making our stay unforgettable.

We stayed for th three days and we wish we had stayed longer. This is a lovely resort style hotel on the beach, private swimming pools, and excellent restaurant and high quality ayeravedic spa and treatments. The rooms were spacious, the fittings fun and charming. Lots of coll additional service such as an inhouse tailor, free yoga and mediation lessons, and afternoon tea. he private hotel beach is clean and well guarded. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed everything about this stay. T

It's a very peaceful and quiet place. Beautiful garden, two pools and very clean rooms, hot water in the bathroom. Very comfortable beds. People working at this place are very nice, helpful and friendly. You can rent a scooter, there is as well a tuk tuk available if you want to go for example to Unawatuna Town. The owner is as well very kind and he's always ready to help you with anything or to answer your questions. We really enjoyed our stay there!

We had a wonderful time at Beach Grove. The place was beautiful! Room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was good. The owner and staff were really great and very welcoming. The villas are around 15 mins walk to the nearest beach set in a beautiful location amongst the wildlife. There are 2 pools which are great to relax after a day out in the sunshine. I would love to visit again if I ever get the opportunity. Keep up the good work!

Family five, stayed four nights, two rooms. Very pleasant. Super Sri Lanka breakfast. Great pool. Easy walk to Dalawella beach to swim with and feed turtles. Good connections to Unawatuna and Galle. Really pleased we chose Beach Grove.

We loved the size of the room, the pool was excellent and the host was friendly and welcoming. We had delicious Sri Lankan curry on our first evening too. Great aircon, fan and wifi.

Location. Set back in nature. Lots of monkeys peacocks and birds. Two clean pools. Beautiful well kept gardens. Very peaceful. Large rooms which are well equipped.

The room was very clean and big! The private pool is perfect 😊 there’s also direct connection from the hotel to the beach. Check in and check out was smooth. Very kind staff. A little pricey as it doesn’t include breakfast, but definitely worth it for the pool!

We had apartment without private pool but the accommodation was still very good. Room was spacious, clean and with AC and mosquito net over bed. We used pool by the lobby and restaurant that was clean and big with spaces to comfortably sit. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Such a comfortable bed - maybe the comfiest one yet! Very friendly staff - unfortunately it rained the whole time we were here so we didn’t get use of the pool or go around much but I’d recommend to book a room with the private pool such good value for money. Short walk to the beach

Loved the pool and the dedication of the pool staff to keep it clean and well mainted.

Beautiful large hotel with great pools and rooms. Spotlessly clean and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Special mention to the pool lifeguard who came to let us know that turtles were feeding at the beach. Very special moment!

This hotel stands out for its architectural elegance and thoughtful design. The welcome with king coconut water was a refreshing touch after arrival. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with excellent amenities. Its commitment to sustainability is impressive—arguably one of the best I've seen. I stayed in a sea view room, which was fantastic. It was just after the full moon—clouds moved across the sky, occasionally letting moonlight shine through. The atmosphere was serene, and I deeply enjoyed the solitude. There are two swimming pools: one ideal for families, and another 25-meter lap pool that I especially appreciated—something I’ve rarely seen in hotels. Swimming there while listening to the crashing waves and watching them break into white foam was a unique experience. The staff were warm and professional. Dinner and breakfast were both sumptuous and very well arranged, offering a wide variety. Overall, this was a memorable stay—one of the best in recent years. I definitely plan to return for a longer visit.

Stunning beachfront property in Galle, our room was in the luxury spa wing which is right next to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 2 kids had a wonderful time collecting shells, playing in the pools. The beach isn’t the best for swimming (unlike Hikkaduwa or similar beaches) but good enough for a quick dip or for simply relaxing. We were lucky to spot turtles every single day we were there! Rooms were spacious and brightly coloured doors / windows was a refreshing sight. The food buffets had the usual good spread but hopper counter can have a queue in the morning. Pizzas at Lorenzo were wood fried and we enjoyed it. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would definitely plan to come back in future.

We had amazing experience staying in this hotel. First of all is a designer villa owned by reach local which gave it to Jetwing for management afterwards. It has 4 rooms. 2 Standart, one superior and one superluxe. We booked a Standart, but recieved a free upgrade to superluxe. Which has 30m2, Seaview, huge bathroom, huge wardrobe. This room used to be the owners room. Villa has an own Sheff, which prepare unique dishes by our willing, by the very reasonable prices, at suitable time for us. I can say it is a "Micheline" level Sheff. Villa has own swimming pool and 5 magnolia trees. The beach is just amazing. We're been different places in Lanka, but Kosgoda is a delicious place. Here the 5 types of turtles put there eggs every night coming here even from Afrika. The water and beach are clean and unspoiled. If you like noisy evenings, eat out you can take Tuk Tuk car from the hotel and go to Bentota. When you came back to your fantastic villa, you'll feel the difference.

This is a small place, just four rooms. The architect was a protege of the famous Sri Lankan architect, Geoffrey Bawa, and it shows. Very well laid, lovely design. As we had the place to ourselves, it felt very special. From a glance at the Guest Comments Book, other visitors felt the same. Plenty of hrlp from the stff - organised a massage, advice about gettig to Lunaganga, Bawa's garden, and taking us down to the beach to watch a turtle laying eggs. Great food, though not much variety. A couple of things needed. A sign at the end of the lane - its tricky to find otherwise. And a kettle etc in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The food was excellent, had lots of flavor. The place didn't have a menu/buffet so we had the freedom of getting the in-house Chef to make what we wanted. The Tomato soup was delicious. The property only had 4 rooms, so we were well looked after. The beach is about a 2min walk from the property. We had a very relaxing time, and will definitely be back again.

The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. Instead one can enjoy nature sound, birds, butterflies, some monekys climbing the trees and sometimes leguans and view at the sea the same time.The staff is very friendly. The owners/managers are very friendly and attentively, caring about every little detail and having an open ear on any suggestions or wishes. Even after check out the owner spent time to give us suggestions and recommendation for our further trip on the island. Clear recommendation if the above said appeals. We only booked one night at the beginning, but then extended for one more night - 3 times in a row.

Absolutely stunning place! Loved everything about it, definitely need to make this your destination when visiting South Sri Lanka. From service to food to the views, you won’t be disappointed.

Off the beaten track, but so quiet and serene with just the noise of the surrounding countryside. enjoyable stay with good staff and good breakfast. The swimming pool was great and the room was very rural but clean and comfortable.

The staff here were excellent. They were very helpful, friendly, and attentive. We stayed in a Villa which was cleaned every day. The breakfasts were good. We only ate in the Restaurant twice in the evening but it was very good. We loved the wildlife, the Kingfishers, Peacocks, Lapwings, Cows and the dogs. The gardens were very well tended and the pool provided welcome relief from the heat. I had a lovely massage.

A wonderful getaway if you are looking for a combination of nature, serenity and luxury all in one package. A pristine private beach is in the frontside of the hotel whereas lush green paddy fields can be seen in the backside. A perfect place for birdwatching and relaxation by the beach. We travelled with our son who is 20 months old, so we were very particular about the arrangements. Needless to say that everything was arranged perfectly to suit our needs. They had upgraded us to a sea view suite free of charge which was very nice of them and had arranged an extra bed in the room as well. Mr.Asoka was constantly in contact with us to ensure that we were at comfort. Mr. Nishantha took us on a short hike to Ussangoda mountain in the evening which had fantastic views of sunset and the beach. They had arranged snacks and a kite for our son on the mountain which came as a big surprise. Food was authentic and very delicious. Flexible meal times and private dining was an added advantage particularly since we travelled with a toddler. He enjoyed the pool and the private garden very much. The kitchen staff was kind enough to prepare special meals for our son. They even arranged gifts for him, a birthday cake for my husband and takeaway sandwiches which was very nice of them. All in all, I would say that this is the best holiday we had so far and we thank the whole staff at Ravana Garden for their excellent work and commitment.

Ravanna Garden is a boutique hotel like no other. The staff, food, rooms, garden, pool, beach are all exceptional. It is a little oasis in an otherwise busy world! On Arrival there is building works going on which a little off putting, but no one is disturbed by it and once walked beyond it you arrive into the oasis! The rooms are large, super clean and comfortable with every facility needed . NOTE - on arrival you are asked to let them know if ,and when, you would like your room cleaned. Remember this is an eco hotel, therefore how often do you really need your towels and linen changing ?! The food is exceptional, organic, local, and you can even buy their own local spices. The service throughout is excellent and they cannot do enough to ensure your stay with them is nothing short of everything you would like. A walk along the beach is must to the harbour wall where there is a safe swimming spot, and many of the locals converge there. Be brave and stay longer than 1 or 2 nights, it is very much well worth it - there are added surprises along the way and the team do everything they can. Bikes are available to go the local temple and a visit with a hotel guide to show the effects of the Tsunami is a must, plus the wildlife and roadside stores make for a very interesting visit.

This is a wonderful, small hotel off the beaten track. The staff (including Dilki, Lakshitha and Malith) were all very friendly and helpful. The food was different at every meal and cooked from local ingredients. Every dish was a surprise and very delicious. We ate vegetarian food. The hotel is dedicated to sustainability. The swimming pool was very nice. To swim in the sea you have to walk quite far along the beach. Our room had a fantastic view of the beach. There was plenty of wildlife to see. We went on a cycling tour through the village which was a great experience. The local river safari is definitely worth it for bird spotting and the sunset. We loved it here

Loved the healthy organic food. Staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautiful with lovely interior and comfy beds. Pool area was clean, quiet and towels drinks delivered to beds. Loved getting coconut water delivered to room on first day. New year eve and day was lovely with Sri Lankan dancing and a Buddhist blessing. Highly recommended.

Ravana is one of the place in Sri lanka that has touched us immensely... The team became like a family towards us, the special touches and little surprises for our honeymoon was so much appreciated. If you are looking to reconnect with your inner self, with nature and your well being this is the place to be. The food was fresh, healthy and so full of flavours. Kitchen team well done. The service staff was so kind and attentive. The doctors were helpful and gave fruitful advice thank you Iresha. We enjoyed every day of our stay.. They organised a scenic and breathtaking hike and picnic, and a lovely dinner under the stars... The whole team is doing a marvelous job at Ravana thanks to the resort manager for his kind hospitality. We had the most memorable experience. We were so grateful and sad to leave.. Totally recommend.

The photos don't do this place justice, I fell completely in love. The second I walked in and saw the views I was awestruck by the magnificent views, we stayed in Sri Lanka for a month and we spent most of our trip at Villa Vista. The crew became like family ♥️ Special thanks to Vish, Promod, Parsanna and Asha.

It was a pleasure staying here. Vish and Prasana made our stay very comfortable! We were celebrating our honeymoon and they made a romantic setting in the room for us which was a nice touch. Breakfast was great every day with different options and they were flexible with the time. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It's a short walk through the villa grounds to the private beach which ls great to relax with your partner or family, also a short drive to the more busy beaches so it was perfect to have option of both.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and the pool was also kid friendly and shallow which made it super easy to get our child acclimatized to water. There was also as wonderful and friendly tuk tuk driver outside called pradeep who helped us a lot in getting around.

We like the executive room not the room with the pool, the pool is too small and u the room is not renovated yet. The executive room with a jacuzzi was much better with the view the refurbishment and the shower inside

What a wonderful view. We had the ground floor rooms that had direct access to the pool. It was like we had our own private pool. Staff were very attentive. Food was nice. Breakfast buffet was a good western style, eggs cooked as you wish. Restaurant is on the top floor wiht 200 degree views of Unawatuna. A wonderful stay.

Ett lagom stort hotell som känns som om det ligger inne i djungeln med en fantastisk utsikt. Det fanns två pooler varav en stor. Vårt rum hade utgång direkt till den stora poolen. Det enda som saknades var någonstans att torka badkläderna på, kanske en liten torkställning. Det var svårt att få dem torra. Rummet var rymligt men hala golv så man får vara försiktig. Sängen var bekväm men det fanns en ram runt om på ca 30 cm. Det såg förvisso snyggt ut men det var lite svårt att ta sig i och ur speciellt om man har ryggproblem. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Varje kväll nattades man med en liten skål med chokladbitar som en kille gick runt och delade ut. Mycket uppskattat och ovanligt. Matsalen med takterrassen var jättefin med den fantastiska utsikten. Maten var jättegod, speciellt tonfisken. Till stranden tog det ca 10 min att gå, hem kan man ta tuktuk för då går det uppåt. Vi är jättenöjda med vår vistelse på Thawthisa och ångrar att vi inte stannade några dagar längre.

The hotel is perched above the main Unawatuna beach area - a bumpy ride up the hill. It is a modern concrete design with great views over the coast. Good - rooms have a funky design, large rooms, very bright (all white), good aircon, tv & cable, nice pool patio with lounges and chairs, great views, food was OK (new chef so will get better), very good large pool. Not so good - they have open-to-air bathrooms so no aircon, there was effectively no hot water in our room - took 10 mins to get lukewarm, floors in bathroom are very slippery when wet, lots of wear and tear in the rooms - loose taps, scraping door, gaps in plaster around fittings, flaky chair covering, room gets very light in the morning. If they kept the rooms better maintained it would be very good. If you want to hang out and relax it's not bad - we paid around US$100 for a good room as it's low season - i wouldn't want to pay much more when it's busy - if they fixed a few of the wear and tear issues it would be much better.

Do NOT listen to the negative reviews regarding this hotel. I have stayed at two other hotels in this area and was very displeased and checked out earlier. This is the only hotel that met my expectations of a 4 star hotel. It is modern, and incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The views are absolutely incredible. The food is very tasty. The staff is incredibly professional and helpful. If you are looking for a hotel on the beach, this is not the hotel. However, if you are more concerned with views, and a pool that is pleasing to the eye, this is your hotel. I really wish I would have ignored the negative reviews of this hotel, and selected this hotel from the beginning, as it is certainly more so what I am used to when I book 4 and 5 star hotels. Book this hotel, you will not regret it.

We booked three superior rooms but there was one room short for us. But the manager tried hard to solve this problem and arranged one standard room and give back the refund. Wasted some time but it was fine. The swiming pool and ocean view is awesome esp sunset at the restaurant. The best ocean view i have seen. The meals are really tasty but it takes over one hour to wait. Overall, it is quite worthy to stay. This hotel is not too far to Galle also.

We stumbled on to this place by chance when looking for a place to spend a day out of Colombo. Its an amazingly quiet place with a superb beach. The Restaurant manager Sugath and Chef Kolitha were so much so helpful and dished out some of our favorites to the utmost satisfaction. We were sad that it was such a quick holiday but would have loved to stay longer. Kudos to the entire team for a superb job. The hospitality and welcome was greatly appreciated.

We stayed here on our first night of holiday and had an amazing time, we didn’t want to leave. A beautiful location, the private beach is incredible, the food is yum, friendly staff, fab!!! Top tip: There is a restaurant 2 minute tuk tuk down the road called Bord’eaux and we had a delicious meal there on the end of a pier over looking the water.

The property is serene and rooms are beautiful. Food was fantastic and staff was very friendly. My wife got a massage and the therapist was very good. We booked the private pool room which was perfect for couples.

We were lucky enough to stay in the brand new private Villas and we couldn’t fault our stay! The staff were all lovely and the Villa was beautiful, the private pool was a bonus luxury but we also visited the main pool a couple of times for some sun! We also ate at the restaurant a few times and loved every meal, highly recommend this resort.

We were recommended this hotel by friends who had stayed last year and it did not disappoint! All the staff were welcoming, helpful, smiley and very friendly. We were lucky enough to upgrade to two of the beautiful one bedrooms with private pool, btw the shower and shampoo provided are lush! Breakfast is cook to order and delicious, as were all the meals cooked by Tom the chef. Annabel was so helpful and recommended an excellent Surf school for beginners and a tour guide come tuk tuk & airport taxi all in one. I highly recommend staying at Panta Rei

We stayed for our honeymoon and my husband’s birthday and it had been a wonderful stay. We had a private pool villa and we had so much privacy that we loved. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating and attentive to all requests. The food is super delicious. My husband could not stop speaking and wanting the burger and I had always had a craving for the delicious banana cake. Loved how the breakfast is until 12:00 and that we did not have to rush to have breakfast. The place is near to the Instagram able places and easily can be accessed to the main areas which we loved and explored. Special thanks to the lovely Annabel and yam for decorating our room for my husband’s birthday. And our favorite lucky and esila who were so sweet we always looked for them.

I booked this place at short notice in between stays arranged by my travel agent, but would have made it our base for 3 days in Tangalle area, if I had known about it earlier. It is a beautifully furnished former private home, a true boutique hotel. Everything was of the best. There is a large pool, with a shallow area for young children. It is set in extensive gardens, growing mainly cinnamon, coconut and pepper; the garden makes a pleasant walk, with the opportunity to admire many peacocks. The lunch we were served on arrival, the dinner and breakfast were all outstanding, well prepared and presented, generous and very reasonably priced. Beds are comfortable with bedside tables and reading lights. There are a number of outdoor areas to sit. Prabath and his colleagues were very attentive to our comfort and he was able to tell us the history of the house. I had an excellent massage from a therapist who is on call; I understand that the hotel is building an Ayurvedic centre on the grounds, and there is already a separate cabana which has been used for yoga sessions. It would be an excellent place for either a romantic escape or a yoga/spa/ meditation retreat. Highly recommended and full marks to Prabath’s management.

We were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves. The room we had was the largest we had in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka and it was lovely to unwind in the living area and have dinner around the big dining table. It’s a great place to relax as Tangalle is about 13km away but we got the local bus into Tangalle to visit the beach. Prabath and his team really work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The gardens and swimming pool are an oasis and a lovely place to chill out.

Lovely villa with beautiful bedrooms which we were lucky enough to have all to ourselves. Beautiful pool with good sun loungers and parasols. Attractive, well kept grounds. Not a touristy area, so not many options for eating out but the breakfast was large & delicious so kept you going until dinner when the chef prepared a wonderful evening meal. Prabath the Manager was lovely and very efficient.

The villa and surrounding grounds were lovely. There is a beautiful organic garden with paths to walk and lots of fruit trees. Every morning we were served fresh fruit juice with wonderful Sri Lankan or Western breakfast. We also ate dinner here almost every night with several different options that changed daily. The food was always delicious and the service from all the staff was excellent and attentive without being intrusive. The staff looked after booking us taxis and anything else we asked for. The suite we had was massive and had plenty of room with a lot of windows and doors that opened up into the beautiful gardens. We liked it so much we have booked another stay with them again. Thank you Prabath and the team for an amazing stay!

This hotel deserves a 100/10! Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The owners are incredibly kind, fantastic cooks, and have an exceptional eye for detail. They truly understand how to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For example, our room was thoughtfully equipped with a Sri Lankan-style robe for the pool, beach towels, a designated makeup-removal towel, and even a face wash. Everything a girl could possibly need! The rice & curry we enjoyed (twice!) was among the best we had during our five weeks in Sri Lanka. And to top it all off, the hotel’s location is simply breathtaking with a beautiful view from the room and pool. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Outstanding and beautiful guest house with unbelievably helpful and friendly hosts! We loved every second of our stay at Barefoot Bungalo. The location is perfect…tucked away in the jungle overlooking a beautiful rice field marsh, but only 15 min walk to the huzzle and buzzle of Hikkaduwa and the beaches. The villa is beautifully designed with attention to detail and the rooms are super comfortable. We also very much enjoyed the pool overlooking the rice paddy. Our hosts, Saffina and Chuta went out of their way to make our stay super comfortable and enjoyable.

We had a very pleasant stay at this lovely accommodation. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool is a nice place to relax. The chef can prepare very tasty meals on request. The location is peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and it’s a short tuk-tuk ride or about a 30-minute walk to Hikkaduwa Beach. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A great place to unwind!

Overall my experience was exceptional. The villa's excellent design, attentive host, and stunning amenities made it a truly unforgettable stay. One of the highlights of the villa was its two spacious kitchens. They were equipped with everything to prepare meals. The villa also boasted a beautiful garden and an infinity pool. Saffina, was incredibly caring and welcoming. I can't wait to return!

This place felt like magic and it was easy to relax there. All the beautiful details around the building makes it unique and cozy. We enjoyed the nature around the villa and loved the peaceful vibe away from the big road. The pool was clean and fresh and the room was big and spacious with nice balcony.

The villa was fantastic, stunning views, amazing to wake up to in the morning. The staff who are there all day make some amazing food. We really enjoyed the breakfast sitting outside under the shade. The family loved the swimming pool having it available all the time was great. Jayantha was also available to help if needed.

Stunning surroundings and a very thoughtfully designed house to maximise natural environment. All meals were exceptional, even better and cheaper than the best restaurants we found on the island. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful while allowing you as much privacy as you need. Communication before arrival was friendly, quick and accurate. Jayantha and his team do an exceptional job and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be well looked after.

Breakfast was fabulous as was the house and grounds.

We had a memorable stay and the host is very understanding. It is recommended to have a car with you for movement to places within the city and nearby beaches which are 15-20 min away. The swimming pool is an excellent feature and well maintained.

Absolutely everything about this stunning villa! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The highlight of our experience was definitely Thushara, the wonderful gentleman looking after the property. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His kindness, warmth, and exceptional customer care truly made our visit unforgettable. Thushara’s attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. We can’t thank him enough for making our stay so special!

The villa provides plenty of space and privacy. The grounds are excellently maintained, and guests can use all facilities (except for a washing machine). There are ample towels and dishes. There are only four sun loungers by the pool, which isn’t entirely fair. Chandima is very kind and always ready to help.

Chandima, who works at the property, is amazing. A great cook and took good care of us, including helping book transport and everything required to make the trip great. The house is big with a great pool, close to Galle and the beech, 10 / 20 minutes away by tuk tuk. The house is a little out of town, which is great as there is peace and wildlife. We found our stay to be very relaxing but with plenty of entertainment and restaurant option close enough

Wow is all i can say. The Villa was beautiful, tge pool was awesome, the views were beautiful, the host (Chandima) is a wonderful human being (who is also a greak cook), lots of wildlife and easy to get to Unawantuna and Galle.. Sri Lanka was full of highlights, this was the best accomodation.

Well, this is really a place where you feel like a millionaire. The villa has a modern design and it is good to enjoy it in several people. The pool is lit up at night and it's very romantic. The breakfasts could be bigger, to which we contributed a little with our own shopping. Galle center is about ten minutes by tuk tuk. On the way back, it is better to show the driver the navigation, because he might get lost. For my family, it was a dream vacation that just can't be experienced anywhere. The owner of the villa is European and is very accommodating. You can arrange everything with him in advance and he will accommodate you.

A fantastic owner, in the room you will find everything including a curling iron and a jewelry box that’s very rare! In the kitchen you have literally everything, so, great and with awesome comfort. 5 mins from the beach, 2 mins by shop and Main Street. The breakfasts I will remember forever!!! The design is very authentic ❤️ Owner is a very nice person, always very attentive, like “hello, how are you, is everything okay? Let me know if you need anything”. I will definitely come back!

The villa was cozy and had a nice forest stay feel. We were a family of 5 adults and 2 kids and had comfortable accomodation. The staff and food service was excellent. The hotel manager was on WhatsApp with us 24x7 and promptly attended to any of our needs. The villa has a nice private pool and backyard. The jacuzzi on the terrace is lovely with awesome views of the jungle on side and ocean on the other. They packed a nice breakfast for our safari and even drove us on their buggy to a nearby rock perch for amazing views.

Our beautiful O2 villa was absolutely stunning - designed to show living in nature even with a tree indoors and a gorgeous bathroom with outdoor shower! It has a large living space with kitchenette, upstairs second bedroom and ensuite plus terrace, and a rooftop with a 360 view of the Yala tree tops! Beautifully designed and curated these villas, which include a plunge pool and only 10min drive from the Yala National Park. The team at O2 villas were so friendly and professional - they ensured that all our needs were met, especially making customised meals, including for my baby. The team went above and beyond with helping us to the beach while carrying a few baby items and we got to enjoy the sunset on the sand dunes on our last night. I'd definitely come back!

Hands down our favourite hotel of the trip. The villa is gorgeous, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The whoops of joy as our kids explored the place said it all! Private pool, incredible food, attentive staff, wildlife all around. On our first evening, the guides took us to the red sand beach, about a 20 minute walk away. Very beautiful. You walk past a lake with baby crocs, can spot iguanas and other wildlife. Magical. We booked a safari through the hotel, the jeep was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They packed us a breakfast to take with. The service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave.

The perfect getaway in this wonderful villa. Ideal when seeking a change from the mainstream hotels. We were met on arrival by our host who showed us around the villa. There is ample space and lots of different tastefully themed areas to relax including own pool (this is unheated and in the shade but in the Sri Lankan sun was really welcome!) We loved the trees rooted in the lounge and the outdoor shower (there's another upstairs as well as two sun terraces). The property really is unique. Thanks to the guys for the walking tour down to the beach with the friendly dogs for company (the beach is deserted and beautiful but not suitable for swimming due to the waves and undertow). Also thanks crew for the mini safari and trip to the fisherman's village which is a totally non touristy genuine and friendly place. On the impromptu mini safari we spotted star tortoises, crocodiles, water buffalo, peacocks, mongoose, foxes, monkeys and lots more. The food was delicious and plentiful with a good menu choice. You do need to eat in, as you are away from the main hotels and the shops are only basic in this area. That is the charm however, you are safely within nature with a team who know and respect it. We used O2 as a base to visit Yala National Park (we saw leopards on our morning visit!) and can thoroughly recommend the whole experience and hope to be back sometime.

We loved this little paradise in the middle of the jungle! Our house with outside bathroom and private pool was like a dream and the staff was extremely kind and helpfull. Also really enjoyed the welcome dance, jungle tour. Thank you so much for everything!

The ‘hut’ was fabulous, it was huge and beautifully furnished. Outside, we had a lovely private plunge pool and several seating areas. The whole resort is beautiful. The staff were amazing - so welcoming and knowledgeable. Food was excellent too. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay. The moon drive and full day safari were excellent. Great food and lovely staff. Outdoor shower and plunge pool were very nice and we weren't bothered by any insects in room.

The location and the staff were wonderful. The rustic camp was well cared for and the plunge pool helped with the heat of the day. The arrangements for the Safari were professionally done and the Safari itself was good. The entertainment was an unexpected bonus.

Absolutely a peaceful, Serene, secluded location and atmosphere from the rest of the Galle experiences. Typically we go to Galle for the beach but the location is right infront of a main road but it is a true hidden peace of solitary crafted with art and craft. Everywhere you turn you have something to spot and enjoy. The plunge pool, verandah, dinning area and the bedrooms are the best. On a special note I want to thank to thank the staff for helping me to make my daughter's birthday extra special taking my instructions to arrange the breakfast table and the Kiribath clover cake. They were extremely supportive, attentive and friendly. Especially Charith was a gteat host.

The Bungalow is a must rent. Hidden away in the outskirts of Galle, it's an unique expirience. It's huge and clean and has a wonderful, upkept garden around. There are sunbeds in the garden and an outdoor shower. All rooms are equipped with AC and fans, you have a small kitchen (with a really large fridge), a huge barbeque and a washing mashine at your disposal. The biggest surplus is the pool in which you can virtually plunge out of the backdor. Additionally you have a roofed terrasse where you can enjoy the delicous meals and breakfast the host Ami is providing. You can also choose what you would like for breakfast (try it, go for the Sri Lankan option, you will not regret it!). As the host lives near by, there is a fast solution for any issues you might have. The car can be parked on the premises and hidden away from the street.

From reservation to checkout, flowless. I have never experienced such a professional and friendly team in any villa. Thank you so much, Medusa team. The villa is perfect. I didn't expect such a clean and fully equipped kitchen. Also, there is a separate cupboard full of utensils and plates etc. The garden and outdoor tables and outdoor bed is perfect. The garden is well maintained, completely natural. There were lots of birds and squirrels etc. The pool is exceptional. The caretakers leave the villa after explaining everything, so 100% privacy. The sri lankan breakfast was amazing. Bathrooms were very clean and with hot water. Easy access from express way so just about an hour away from colombo.

This accomodation was amazing. Very beautiful garden, pool and rooms. Breakfast was very good (one of the best we had in Sri Lanka) and all the stuff was super lovely. We stayed with small kids and they all loved it. It is very quiet there and peacefull. It is about 15 minutes by tuk tuk to Galle or to the beach, so the location was also convenient. We enjoyed our stay there very much. We choose it as a last relaxing place at the end of our Sri Lanka stay and it definitelly ticked all the boxes.

We stayed one week at Sam and Wills villa and loved every second. The communication before we arrived was excellent and Will would check in sporadically to see how we were through the stay. The house was perfect for our family of four with two teenage children, they loved having their own room and bathroom! The house was spotless and the AC in the rooms was a blessing. The pool was fantastic! Nice and cool and the perfect size. The villa is only 1 minute walk to the quiet beach, which we enjoyed boogy boarding every morning. We were there over New Year, so unfortunately not much was open but we did enjoy going to the Halcyon a few times. We could easily cook for ourselves, it was not hard to get to Food city in Tangalle, we also enjoyed the chef coming to the house and cooking for us a beautiful Sri Lankan meal one night. The location of the house is perfect and we could easily tuk tuk to Hiraketiya and we had a day trip to Bundala National Park. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Green House, the visiting birds, squirrels, peacocks and monkeys were a highlight! I could keep on with all the amazing features, but best you go and discover them for yourselves.

Wow what a fantastic villa and beautiful garden, located just a 2 minute walk to the stunning Mawella Beach. The villa is totally private with a lovely pool, exceptionally clean, well equipped and furnished. Each of the 3 bedrooms have large ensuite shower rooms, extremely comfortable beds and high quality bed linen. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater including an oven, hob, large fridge, washing machine and a drinking water appliance. Mawella Beach has a good selection of restaurants and bars. Thank you Will and Sam for an excellent 4 days.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green House Mawella! Everything is made to make you forget about the outside madness. The villa is well equipped with everything you need. It is spacious and the pool is awesome and clean. The outside bathroom are clean and the solar hot water is definitely a plus. Having the sea just hundred meters away makes it a dream. Rasitha is managing the property very well and is a delight to communicate with.

We loved our stay at the green house! The location is perfect just a short stroll to the beach. The house was well equipped with lovely features and we loved the pool and the table tennis and boogie boards! The hosts are exceptionally helpful and the house keeper who came daily was so kind and friendly. We highly recommend this property.

The Green House Mawella was a perfect oasis for our rest after a busy week of traveling. Beautiful Mawella beach with many restaurants is only 30 seconds by walk with many good restaurants. All facilities were crystal clean and the swimming pool was the best.

I liked simply everything about this place. Hidden in the jungle giving you as much privacy as you need. Villas are just piece of the art. Private pool was an amazing spot to relax and focus on what you need - yourself! Food in the restaurant is just amazing. The main pool is simply stunning. And cherry on top- the staff. Everyone always helpful with a smile!

This is a really special hotel. The setting is fantastic - peaceful and set apart, with fabulous views from all sides of the property across 'valleys' and to the sea. The staff are wonderful and so warm and friendly. They create a really relaxing environment where nothing is too much! The managers were extremely gracious and always took the time to talk to the guests and check in on everything. Rooms are large and beautifully laid out so you can be comfy inside and outside on the terrace - either way enjoying the views and your private pool night and day.

Everything about the resort was remarkable. The location is on top of a hill with an amazing sea view, private pool, and chillout pillows in the villa with privacy and jungle all around us. The design and interior made me feel like the team put a lot of time and effort to make a perfect set up for a luxurious moment. I would have loved to stay longer then two nights, maybe forever. The staff were so kind and helpful, I can't think of anything less then perfection. My favorite stay in Sri lanka by far.

We absolutely loved our stay in the villa. The place looked even better in person, it completely exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and cake. The Villa is slightly out of the way which makes it very peaceful, yet within walking distance of everything, which was exactly what we were after. Also very easy to get transport to and from if needed. The private pool was absolutely great. The water temperature was perfect. The hosts were lovely and were very responsive. We were given a welcome guide and information to help us with our stay. There is clean drinking water available at all times which is great. I would highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed four nights and wished we had stayed longer.

Lasantha and Madhu are the best hosts you would encounter. They were present at check in to welcome us with some lovely refreshments and do a house tour and handover keys to us. The house is so well designed with quality appliances, and attention to detail. Its a clean, organised and spacious 3 bedroom villa with a pool and ample space outside to have a great time with family. I had just asked for a restaurant recommendation and I was sent a whole list of groceries, restaurants, supermarkets, etc by Lasantha, which was so helpful. In addition, the hosts checked with us from time to time to ensure we were comfortable in the house. It was truly an amazing experience for my family. We will always recommend Nomad Nest to our friends.

We were one of the first visitors to this villa. New, clean, comfortable house. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Common room and kitchen. Beautiful swimming pool, well-groomed yard area. Very nice hosts who will help with any question. The hosts gave us presents, it's very nice. We liked everything very much. We recommend this place to relax!

We stayed at this wonderful three-bedroom villa in Hikka, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The property is a beautiful piece of modern architecture, designed to make the most of natural light with its large windows and high ceilings. It also felt very safe and peaceful thanks to the modern surveillance systems and smart home technology. One of our favorite features was the jacuzzi, which could be turned on and off with voice commands. It was such a fun touch! The kitchen was fully equipped, the rooms were air-conditioned, and everything was brand new, making the space quiet, comfortable, and homey. We really appreciated how thoughtfully everything was set up, and it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy our time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Great price for one month. Specially recommend for any guest there is a good privacy surrounding high walls with the private swimming pool. Very clean water there clean by the poolman every morning. The other girl visits every evening to clean the garden and collect all garbages. Very easy to spend days in villa blue water. The host dasun he is the owner of this place was so helpful for us within our stay every time we need. He picked us at the airport and gave us a wonderful round tour with his friend. 100% satisfied. The villa has a nice garden with birds and squarrels singing every morning. So natural. 1km to the beach we used the tuk tuk every morning and sometimes we had a healthy walk. Totally very good place for any traveller. We definitely go back to stay with villa blue water next year. Thank you dasun~

We were really looking forward to our trip to Sri Lanka from Spain. We planned everything ourselves. We didn't do it through an agency, I was looking at Booking and Urban Galle Villa had very good reviews and we decided to go for it and we were right. It is located in the middle of the typical streets of Galle with lots of greenery and tranquility. It is a two-storey, four-bedroom, colonial-style family house, which we almost filled because there were 7 of us. We were the only guests for those 5 days and we were literally pampered by Xabi (he said we should call him that to make communication easier), his brothers and his mother, who helped Xabi with the breakfasts, which were all prepared to our liking. The times we went out early, like on safari or whale watching, they even prepared tuppers for us to take with us. Xabi was always there for whatever we needed. He really made us feel at home. If we ever come back to the island, which is quite possible, we will definitely stay at Urban Galle Villa again. In these days after our departure a swimming pool was being finished, which will give the facility more value and will certainly make the stay more enjoyable. We can only say: Thank you very much for everything, Xabi.

The best place to stay. This is boutique accommodation on a quiet street, a short drive to the main attractions. I loved being surrounded by nature in the pool, seeing beautiful birds and monkeys in the trees, bats and fireflies at night. Staying here was the highlight of our time in Galle. The rooms are large, very clean, with comfortable beds. Our host made us the most superb breakfast each morning. They were helpful with information about things to do and transportation, they also offered personal tours and tuk-tuk rides at good rates. If you like a peaceful place to unwind at the end of the day, with really helpful hosts, this is the place for you.

These guyssss <3 could not have been better. They were so genuinely interested in us having a lovely time. As a woman travelling alone with a kid, I felt so safe and even in just two nights I felt very familiar. Everything was a reasonable price, they were actively ensuring we didn’t get ripped off. The place was extremely clean and my son LOVED the pool so much. They really went out of their way for him, taking him to a lovely personable hatchery and even to the factory of a jewellers to, with guidance, make a ring himself out of a gem he picked himself. It was a truly special experience here

A very nice relaxing stay in a villa with a lovely pool. Set inside the jungle not far off the main road and close to the beach. Good size room with balcony and very clean. And a very comfortable bed. Also the included breakfast was amazing, so much food, including eggs, fresh fruit juice, tea and coffee, cake, for slices of toast, butter and jam and string Hoppers with Dahl and coconut. Staff were very kind and accommodating.

My family and I stayed here for two nights and had an excellent stay. The manager and staff very friendly people, especially Keethan. The traditional homecooked Sri Lankan breakfast and western breakfast were both phenomenal and the rooms and the pool were very clean and well-maintained. It is located in a good and serene area. This villa made our stay at Galle the best experience.

This villa is a rare find! We loved the private pool, room was spacious and clean, beautiful peaceful location and the staff were kind and friendly. They were very kind to our 4yr old son. Lalith was especially great, his English is good and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and a good variety to choose from. The free tuk tuk to Mirissa each day is also great.

A lovely, large room, very clean with a great private swimming pool. The room and pool were cleaned everyday.

We had such an amazing time here. We loved it so much, that we booked an additional night. The villa was bigger than expected and so clean. We just spent all our time at the pool and enjoyed the jungle vibe. The breakfast was delicious and there was so much choice - we could even eat it right at our villa. One of us was sick during the stay and they took care of us so well - the owners and staff really are so caring, they really welcome you with open arms. They also always arranged for tuktuks for us to go to the centre of mirissa (about 10min) for free!!! We 100% recommend this place

Everything, the staff, the rooms the pool, the location. Everything was so nice. Wish we would stay there for one more night and do not leave at all from the property. The breakfast also super delicious. The bathroom omg. Only the bathroom was a totally new experience.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mawbima Villa. The villa is at a serene location, just a short Tuktuk ride from Unawatuna and Galle. The rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated, as is the living space downstairs. It’s so cosy and peaceful! Everything was neat and clean, the staff was super reliable and accommodating towards us and helped us with all our requests and questions. We wanted to enjoy our last 5 days in luxury and in a hotel on the beach. And here we were lucky to choose the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Sri Lanka! The hotel is apparently quite new and has not yet received stars on booking.com, but I have no doubt that they deserve 5! 🤩 There are only 8 rooms (large) and 2 suites (with private pool). So you quickly get to know the other guests and not least the staff. And they are something very special. You are simply taken care off, so it's unbelievable. We travel with a 9-year-old and since there were no other children in the hotel, they played ball and played with him in the pool. They arranged breakfast on the beach and they prepared the sunbeds right on the spot they knew we would like to lie down. They also drove right down to town and picked up what we needed. And since our flight was delayed, so we had to rebook the whole trip, we could just stay one day in the same room - no problems. They are simply amazing! The hotel is located approx. 10 min by tuk-tuk outside Bentota in the Induruwa area. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby if you want to walk around the area. But we mostly went for a walk on the incredibly beautiful and deserted beach. Here the locals fish on the rocks and you have the most amazing sunset. We also saw a dolphin up close.🐬 There are pretty big waves, but we swam anyway - because there is a lifeguard who is ready with diving goggles when you approach the sea.

We loved the beach location, close to the turtle sanctuary, and the pool with a large area with plenty of sunbeds. There was AC good variety in the buffet including vegetarian options. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly in particular Pradash and the pool guy/gardener. The beach is stunning but quiet - we enjoyed walking along it. The waves were large while we stayed there but we did spot dolphins out to sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pool area, restaurant and gardens were beautifully maintained. Sanath, the pool attendant, did a great job setting up our sun loungers with beautiful flowers every day!

Wow…what a stay!!! It’s a hidden gem at a very serene location. It an ideal place for those who wants to live in tranquility and enjoy their ‘me time’. It is also an ideal place for romantic gateway. We stayed at their ‘Deluxe Double Room with Balcony’. The room was very spacious with a nice balcony and a spacious bathroom. The whole room and bathroom are nicely decorated. We enjoyed the view from the balcony sitting on the swing. Overall, it a very nice and comfortable room to stay. The have a very welcoming infinity swimming pool and a private beach. We enjoyed every moment of it. During our stay we also met with the Chairman of the Hotel Dr. Ranjuka and his wife Director Ms. Nilusha. It was such a pleasure to meet & have a small chat with them. We really appreciated the way both of them welcome us in their hotel. The General Manager Mr. Sulochana Nilhan has given special attention to us & taken care of all our requirement with wholeheartedly. Their Chef made us a three-course meal as per our requirement, such a nice gesture. We were amazed by the hospitality & care of all the hotel staffs. We are thankful to them for making our stay memorable. You can have tuk tuk from the road and other options of ride from pick me easily, if you want to visit near by. We highly recommend this place.

The hotel was fabulous and only steps to the most beautiful beach. We had a wonderful stay surrounded by lovely staff who were exceptional and so nice. Our sun loungers awaited us every morning thanks to the lovely pool & grounds staff. We had dinner most nights at the hotel and a shout out to the chef and the kitchen staff it was delicious food. The bar was a lovely place to unwind after a tough day lounging in the sun. ☀️ If you want to venture outside the hotel, the town centre is just a short Tuk Tuk drive away and there are always drivers available outside the hotel. We stayed 8 nights and loved every day. It’s a small hotel so the staff are keen to ensure you have a great stay, and that’s what makes this hotel special. It’s hard to mention anyone in particular they were all amazing.

We really loved our stay at the Spice Trail. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious. The room is very nice with a great outdoor shower leading to the backdoor for pool access. Lounging around the pool was great, it's quite a small villa so we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. It's also tucked away off the main road so it is not loud but still within 10min walk of the main area. If I ever come back to Ahangama I wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

The biggest and most relaxing pool you can imagine, with nice and clean rooms. The atmosphere was relaxing and the personnel very kind and helpful. Excellent breakfast as well! We were totally alone, which made it even better to just hang and chill by the pool.

Everything was perfect! This place is really quiet and very comfortable to stay. The room was clear, have everything you need, even a raptor! Atmosphere in the hotel is wonderful, the pool is clean and so big. Breakfast in the hotel is very tasty, you can have an European one, or local food as well. We had a coconut every morning at the breakfast and also tea. Staff of the hotel is very friendly and ready to help you with anything. Beach is close to the hotel, about 5 minutes by foot. We were so impressed by the Spice Trail that we didn’t want to leave.

First of all - *the stuff is fu**ing an amazing people!!!!* they all have such a good eyes, good heart and pure intentions. Everything we asked for, they provided with a smile. Second of all- the place is so beautiful and quiet, the pool is huge and super clean and the plants all over the place is amazing. The rooms are big and full of style. Ill be back for sure (and not once).

I was the most perfect stay during our travel though Sri Lanka. The pool is great but most important the team is the BEST! Never experienced that good hospitality and the Sri Lankan breakfast is a dream come true! We will definitely come back and stay longer than 4 nights. :)

This is a little slice of heaven in Hikkaduwa. Beautiful place overlooking a river!! Tranquility & privacy at its best. PJ's is great for family or friends (group of 4). Amazing location with a canoe available at the dock - and a lagoon to explore without sighting another tourist. Incredible staff, super helpful at all times. This is our third visit to Sri Lanka, and the best place we’ve stayed in by far.

The staff was very friendly, smiley and helpful 🌷they bring everything we needed, they have fast service and they attention to details 👌🏻all staff was amazing and lovely 😊 the manager Rohan , personal assistant Mohan, the chef mango and the security Sanad they deserve more then 10 stars 🌟 also they care about children . This is a wonderful place! We came here with our 2 sons (24 and 17) to relax and spend time together and this was the perfect spot for it. Good sized bedrooms, nicely decorated and very comfortable beds. The living room is cozy but we spent most of our time outside where you have the plunge pool, a sitting area, sunbeds and last but not least the sea is there right at your doorstep. The staff, Rohan(manager) and Mohan(housekeeping) are amazing and give excellent service, Nothing is too much to ask for them! Location wise the Villa is well situated, close to Hikkaduwa and not too far from Galle. Book this place if it's available! .

Great 2 bedroom villa right on the beach with a lovely pool and catered like a hotel with the amazing team that took care of us and made our stay so comfortable! Breakfast was deliciously freshly cooked, and snacks were brought to us which was a lovely surprise. The crib for our toddler was super comfortable. The pool was a bit small but good enough to lounge in.

The villa was more than we could have expected from the description. From the street the villa looks very ordinary but when you enter through the gate it is a beautiful private oasis. The outside areas are well looked after and the loungers and pool allow for a great sunbathing day. You are only a few steps away from the sea, although most of the time it is better to watch than to enter. The staff were brilliant at what they do, attentive but not overbearing. We didn't realise the villa came with staff and it was a great realisation. The chef was brilliant and the food was great, especially the barramundi. Rohan was a very considerate host and nothing was too much. The location was perfect for us. A 20 minute walk down the beach took us to funky bar, a great place to watch the surfers and the great sunsets. A further 20 minutes takes you to Hikaduwa town. Both are only a short drive by tuk tuk if walking isn't your thing. We loved our stay here and look forward to returning.

All of nature and little details like card games, board games, plants, swings and herb and veggie garden were so great. We booked the private villa with pool and it was so worth it for the purpose of our stay. It felt very private and the room was huge. The food in the restaurant was delicious and it was really close to our favourite cafe called Nomad’s. Right across the road from some other nice restaurants and bar with a pool at Karumba bay too! Was a great way to end our Sri Lanka trip. The free t-shirt was a nice touch at the end too. Loved the private pool and it’s so cool that there are optional activities planned each day like yoga, quiz night and nights outs.

Great location, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is simply great, they make sure you have everything you need. The best part was probably chilling by the pool after a surf, such a dreamy set up.

I just stayed for one night but absolutely enjoyed my stay, such a friendly staff, they have a pool, comfortable dorm beds, everything was clean, the vibe was soo good, loved the place! ❤️👌🏽

Beautiful colonial style villa in 5min driving proximity to the center of the Galle Fort. Amazingly furnished and designed. Fantastic bathroom, amazing living and dining room area as well as wonderful and refreshing pool oasis with the sunbeds and pool towels provided. Delicious breakfast, fantastic and helpful service from Muha (I hope I spell that right), we enjoyed absolutely everything during our stay!

The villa was absolutely beautiful — full of charm with its colonial architecture and impeccably clean throughout. The pool was crystal clear and incredibly inviting, but the real highlight was the outstanding service from Mohan and Sasha. On Saturday night, heavy rain kept us from going out, so we decided to dine at the villa. Mohan graciously offered to cook for us. He went out to buy fresh ingredients and prepared an incredible prawn curry and perfectly grilled tuna. One member of our group couldn’t handle spicy food, and Mohan even made a separate milder version just for her — such thoughtful service! Every morning, breakfast was generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. This villa is fantastic value for money, and we’d definitely come back — in fact, we didn’t want to leave!

Green Casa is an amazing oasis in the heart of bustling Galle! The beautifully restored heritage property is a wonderful balance of old-world charm and contemporary design. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the pool area was perfect for a swim or simply lounging with a book. Mohan took such great care of us - always smiling and ready to help us with whatever we needed, including arranging massages for our parents that they really enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious and prepared fresh - we truly enjoyed the authentic Sri Lankan home-style cooking. It was also lovely meeting Harsha, the owner, who was very thoughtful and kind. We can't wait to return here on our next visit to Galle and can't recommend this place enough to others!

A wonderful stay in a beautifully restored colonial house - an oasis of calm and tranquility only a 10 min Tuk Tuk ride from the Dutch Fort. There are only 3 room at the villa and so it feels like you are staying as guests in the house. - not a hotel. The staff are very attentive and arrange anything that is required. Pool area is lovely and a great escape from the heat and frenetic city of Galle. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, amazing location right on the beach and within easy access of Yala National Park for the safari. We saw a turtle giving birth right outside the hotel, on the beach, which was amazing. The setting is really pretty. Lots of wildlife around - monkeys, parrots, kittens, cats, dogs and turtles. Our private pool was really great - clean and the perfect temperature. Nice cocktails! Saw other comments saying there was an issue with WiFi but we didn’t experience that. We had an outdoor shower which was really fun!

We stayed one night at Nikara Beach House so we could do a morning safari in Yala. Nikara is an really impressive, characterful place with lots of interesting features and artworks, a beautiful garden with lots of flowers, birds and squirrels and a spectacular swimming pool and access to a wild but beautiful beach. Our room was a separate and spacious apartment with it's own private plunge pool and sitting area which was a bonus, The food was good and the safari the hotel organised with excellent driver and guide Suranga was a real success for us as we were lucky enough to see a wonderful female leopard up really close for around 10 minutes just relaxing in the sun on a rock! You must get to Yala entrance as early as possible to get the best chance of a leopard spotting, we left our hotel at 4.30am. As well as the leopard we saw lots of elephants, a pair of Jackal, a huge Brown Fish Owl, herds of Spotted Deer, buffalo and many bird species, A truly wonderful place, and experience,

There is a lot to love about the NIKARA (and a few things to improve ). Firstly the location is stunning for a peaceful and relaxing stay. It’s only a short ride to Yala safari too. We stayed for 2 nights (including New Year’s Eve) in the villa with private pool. The room was clean and bed was huge and super comfortable, and it is very private and quiet. The breakfast and food in general was excellent. On New Year’s Eve , the staff organised dinner on the beach with fireworks. They even bought a birthday cake for my husband, which was lovely. The staff here are EXCEPTIONAL, they literally do everything and never stop , they are super friendly and always have a smile ! The beach is stunning and deserted (but not good for swimming) and perfect for relaxing

It was the best accommodation that we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. We felt at home and enjoyed the amazing pools, the beach and the Safari. The service was great - they let us have our privacy at the pool but were always there when we wanted to order foods and drinks and even brought us complementary fresh coconut juice to enjoy in the pool. They also arranged both transfers for us. The staff and especially Mr. Jeewa were exceptionally nice. Everything was clean and we would definitely come back to this paradise. We went for a wedding in Bentota, and many friends stayed at very expensive beachside villas with bars and restaurants. So, when I booked the Residence, I assumed it would be a budget alternative. It was NOTHING like that, at all. The whole residence is immaculately clean; our room was huge and airy, with both a private balcony AND a terrace with excellent views of the trees (and the bats at sunset), not to mention the cool outdoor shower. Quick walk to the beach (we found a turtle laying eggs one night!) for when you're feeling active, lovely pool for getting through the hot part of the day on a hangover. Relaxed, attentive staff; we asked to extend our stay with like half an hour to spare and they were incredibly accommodating. On the whole, a quiet, relaxing oasis, with everything you need only a few minutes away. Highly recommend nearby cafes for breakfast: Esprit for mountains of fruit and the full english, or Randy's coffee for omelettes, lattes, lassi's and games. We played many a chess match there. My only regret is I was having such a good time I took like no photos lol

The Residence is located within a 5 min walk to the main beach. As soon as you enter, the property is huge inside with so much greenery, that it soothes the eyes. The staff is very helpful, friendly and make the guests feel comfortable. The pool is clean and well maintained. If you are visiting Bentota with a group of friends, don't think twice before booking this accomodation. Much love from India!

Everything about this place is superb, the staff, the accomodation (which is varied and original), the amazing gardens and beautuful pool. You don't really need to step out the front door to have a wonderful relaxing break but if you want to there is a gorgeous beach and good restautants within walking distance.... The place was spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed the late-night barbeque in the garden area. The bedrooms were cozy and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep for everyone. Dinuka, who was our host, had been very helpful and accommodating and made sure all our needs are provided for whenever required. Our compliments to the chef as well who provided us with good food as per our preference and taste.

The two care takers Somasiri and Priyantha did an amazing job looking after the guests. The food was incredible! The water bottles in the water filter is refilled with well water, you might be drinking well water thinking its bottled water. This is a health hazard specially if you have kids or from a different country and should be taken seriously.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I just had to share how amazing our stay at this villa in Sri Lanka was. It honestly felt like a dream. From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond expectations — the place was spotless, which is something I really appreciate, especially in Sri Lanka where that’s not always guaranteed. Everything in the villa felt brand new and super well taken care of. What really stood out to me, though, was the availability and care of the hosts. They were always just a quick WhatsApp message away, answering every question and helping with anything we needed — from restaurant recommendations to daily tips on what to do in the area. That kind of attention is rare and so appreciated. The location is also great — just a short and easy walk to the beach, but still peaceful and quiet. The atmosphere of the villa is super relaxed, authentic, and full of good vibes. It really felt like a true break from everything. If you’re looking for a place that’s clean, cared for, and hosted by people who truly want you to have a great time — this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is perfect, we were only a few minutes walk from Ahangama beach. The rooms are nice, bathrooms and the villa in general, just like in the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and Dileep the Villa Manager was very helpful. He really helped us with scooter rental, dinner reservations, anything we needed. The train is really close to the property and you can see the monkeys swinging from the trees. It's an authentic cool vibe.

The house looks exactly as it does in pictures! It is beautiful and cool in all the rooms with fans in the open upstairs area too! The staff were so attentive and Dilpesh went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We only stayed a day as we’re exploring Sri Lanka but we’re definitely planning on coming back and staying here longer next time.

The house really lived up to our expectations, it truly matches the pictures. Everything worked well, it was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Whenever we needed help Tharu, the owner, was very fast to send someone over to help. Overall a top experience!

We had a wonderful stay at this villa – everything was beautiful, from the furniture to the design, and the location right in the middle of the jungle made it truly special. One important thing to note: if you want the pool to be private, you must book the entire villa. If you only book half, the pool and villa will be shared with other guests. Also, keep in mind that the two floor villa has only 2 bedrooms, while the one floor villa has 3 bedrooms. For full privacy, I highly recommend booking the entire villa. Since the villa is in the jungle, you should expect to see different types of insects – just something to be aware of. Other than that, everything was perfect, the place felt very safe, and I definitely recommend it!

The cocoon-shaped tents are really unique and beautiful. They’re well-designed and blend nicely with the natural surroundings. Some parts of the tents do feel a little old and could use a bit of renovation, but that didn’t affect how much I enjoyed my stay. It still felt special and very comfortable. The food was excellent every day. The chefs prepare a nice mix of Sri Lankan dishes and international food. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Meals were something I looked forward to daily. The safaris were a real highlight. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of nature. We saw leopards, elephants, and so many other animals. The whole safari experience was exciting and well-organized. The staff were amazing – kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. You feel well taken care of, and the service is top-level from everyone at the lodge. The small pool outside our cocoon was cleaned early every morning at around 6 AM, but because it’s under a lot of trees, it quickly fills up with leaves again. That’s understandable, but I do think the water filtration could be improved – during my stay, it looked more like a big bathtub than a proper pool. That said, there is a much bigger pool near the restaurant that’s perfect for relaxing. You can enjoy cocktails and snacks while sitting in the water, and it’s a great spot to unwind during the hot hours.

Where do you start? This hotel was without a doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at many luxury hotels before. The staff, the food, the rooms, the pool, the bar - everything was really top notch! Will recommend to all my friends visiting Sri Lanka to stay here for a couple of nights, this amazing lodge made our trip to Sri Lanka as good as it could be! /The Swedes

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the pool and the safaris organized by the lodge, who supplies rangers in addition to drivers in the safari vehicles. We opted to add an optional safari to increase our chances of seeing the elephants and leopards. Excellent staff, Sasha was very helpful, Venura in the restaurant was great and so was our Ranger Amida.

The tents are beautiful, the pool area heaven, food fantastic and staff amazing. We absolutely loved it.

It was one of our favorite places and experiences during our family trip in Sri Lanka. Our tent was nestled in the natural habitat of wildlife and nature by the side of the seaside rolling sounds of the waves with respect to the wildlife as well. Their welcoming service and attention to guests with its heartfelt and kind hospitality where every guest is welcome and served as if they are the only ones in the sanctuary heaven is amazing. Even though it rained heavily towards the end of the safari and towards the evening dampened some of our plans. Nonetheless, they ensured we were all safe and taken care of with promptness. Safari was an amazing experience and Shani was an excellent ranger as well. Tharindu, the Front House manager was there to welcome to the end of iur stay and went out of the way to make sure we were all taken care of. The entire team which takes them all to offer a great experience indeed assured us of such a wonderful and an amazing stay. It was a memorable stay! So looking forward to next time and our best wishes to all of them.

We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen!

The property is very clean and has an amazing view. The private pool was clean and the water temperature perfect. The villa was well organised and clean and staff ensured attention to detail. Friendly and helpful staff members who are always ready to support. The Chef was amazing he customized our dinner as per our requests. Thank you so much and we will come again.

We absolutely loved the food! The chef is incredible and we had 3 x melas a day at the restaurant there. Each outdoing each other. I also loved the beach. I was worried about strong surf. But the little bay was perfection. I am a strong swimmer and feel comfortable in the surf, but this was super fun, playful and OMG Warm! We had the pool one bedroom with the pool on the beach. What a dream. An absolutely wonderful way to finish our honeymoon. Noting that we planned to and did stay here in the whole time, not leaving (why would you) so 2 x nights was pretty great here.

Nice hotel, but feels a little unfinished. The food was great, as well as service. The bay is pretty but the beach is small and waves are too strong for swimming most of the time. The suite with a pool doesn't feel as private as I imagined looking at the pictures. The pool is visible from the public beach and the rooms upstairs.

Ahu Bay was the perfect place to spend the final two nights of our trip around the island. The hotel occupies a beautiful position between two picturesque Sandy coves. The design of the property was stunning and our room was luxurious and comfortable (especially loved the half open air sitting area of our pool villa). The views from the restaurant overlooking the infinity pool and beach beyond are postcard perfect. Staff here do everything possible to make your stay wonderful and the food was delicious! The highlight was a candlelit dinner on the beach to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We would come back again without hesitation!

A truely breathtaking location. The ‘hotel’ consists of 5 individual villas with a maximum of 10 guests at any time. We stayed in the room named Gin. This is the perfect place to go if you are looking for peace and tranquility. Relax, recharge and unwind in this peaceful location - the only sounds you’ll hear are from the local wildlife! The staff pay great attention to detail and cater to your every need without intruding your space. The food is outstanding and again, the chef will cater to your specific requirements. A very luxurious experience. I would highly recommend The River House. An outstanding holiday!

The River House is a little Paradise. The staff is very kind, helpful and makes you feel very welcome. The view is amazing and I forgot work completely. A great weekend trip out of Colombo city to get your energy back.

I would say that 4 pieces of toast for 3 people is not enough. I would recommend to have at least 2 toast per person and would be great to have a glass of fresh juice too. We have used restaurant for dinner and a lunch; good choice of meals (western) and few local options available. The staff is helpful and trying to accommodate every need. I would highly recommend this villa to my friends!!! The views are pictures!!!

We had an amazing time in Mandala Villas. The villa was spacious and very tastefull decorated. The service was superb. Even though the hotels location is quite remote, it is very easy to go to Tangalle or Rakawa. We highly recommend this place!

We celebrated our 23rd anniversary in the DUBU honeymoon villa, and it exceeded every expectation we had. Our days were blissfully spent lounging in our private pool, enjoying leisurely meals served poolside, and reading in the soothing shade. While we ventured out to explore the local beaches and diving spots, our favorite moments were simply spent soaking in the serene beauty of Kahanda Kanda itself. “Magical moments” is the perfect description of our time here, and we are immensely grateful to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable. Thank you, Kahanda Kanda, for a dream-like anniversary getaway!

Fantastic staff and service, beautiful rooms. We were lucky enough to try 3 different rooms during our stay and all were stunning. The best staff and service we encountered during our two week tour of Sri Lanka. Coming from central Tokyo we were mesmerized by the experiences with nature available in our garden or from our terrace - a family of monkeys playing in the tree above, peacocks fraternizing besides your table, fireflies surrounding you at night or a lady plucking tea just 30 meters away from your poolside - all are very 'normal' day-to-day experiences at KK that amazed us city dwellers. The only minor disappointment was the food - dinners were enjoyable enough if a little expensive for what they were - whilst I would say breakfast was fine. Lunch was the biggest disappointment - a very standard club sandwich or salad for around USD 15 (including service/tax) would be the usual menu. This hotel is so full of "WOW" factor in terms of the design, the rooms, the pools and the service but we were not once "wowed" by anything that we ate which was a shame. Eating at KK was more like a means to not to feel hungry anymore rather than a special dining experience.

After a week touring the island, we just wanted somewhere to rest and relax. We could not have found anything better. Beautifully decorated private villa with pool, each one well apart so totally tranquil. The service was impeccable, excellent massage, variety of evening food experiences, first class local and international cuisine. All in a tea plantation setting with a wide variety of wildlife passing through. Just memorable

콜롬보에서 승용차로 2시간 30분 정도 걸림. 개인적으로 찾아가기 어려우므로 택시를 미리 예약하고 가는 것이 좋은데, 콜롬보에서는 80달러, 콜롬보공항에서는 90달러(이상 통행료 포함) 정도로 갈 수 있음. 치약/치솔 있음, 면도기/빗 없음, 오전과 저녁 턴다운 서비스. 직원들이 모두 매우 친절함. 다만 식사 수준이 기대에 다소 못미침(나쁘지는 않음). 그리고 숙박 중 하루는 저녁에 스리랑카 전통 뷔페식이 나왔는데, 투숙객에 따라서는 스리랑카 전통음식이 입에 맞지 않을 수 있다는 점을 고려해야 할 필요가 있음. 풀이 달린 빌라를 이용했는데, 대형 모스크도마뱀이 물을 먹기 위해 등장하는 바람에 놀랐음. 사람에게 해를 끼치지는 않는다고 하고 직원이 와서 물리쳐 주었으나, 도마뱀이 먹던 물에서 수영하는 것은 좀 찜찜한 면이 없지 않음. 주변에 시간을 보낼 공간이 없고 차를 타고 나가야만 하는데, 그것이 이 숙소의 매력이자 단점이기도 함. 숲속에 자리잡은 스리랑카 최고의 리조트이나, 사람마다 호불호가 있을 것 같음.

The location over the lake is beautiful and the whole environment is extremely tranquil - a great place for a quiet, relaxing stay. Service was always very personal and came with a smile. We stayed in the sunset villa with a plunge pool. Recently built, they're spacious and the design, decor and finish on them is amazing. The view of the lake and sunset is somewhat obstructed by the foliage but on the flip side this creates a very private and secluded feel. Presumably the upper level sunset villas have a better view but I don't think these have a plunge pool(?).

We booked the suite with private pool. Everything in the hotel is perfect. The room is completely independent from the hotel, it has amazing views of the lake and the privacy is unique. Very comfortable room, bed, shower, balcony. The service of the hotel is excellent and they take care of everything. Breakfast is fabulous, and the lunch/dinner menu is outstanding (the chef is top, totally unexpected). We had one of our most valued experience in this hotel, and we had an amazing service with Dilshan and Chanukah (they provided us an excellent professional service)

Luxury in the heart of a rain forest, from privacy to the sounds of nature, it was beyond exotic. The staff is very welcoming and the GM made sure that our stay went perfectly well. We had booked the family villa since we were 5 people and wanted to stay in close proximity. The 2 rooms are not interconnected but have a private pool in the middle and both rooms are lake facing. You are truly immersed in nature with the sound of afternoon showers, peacocks echoing their calls all day, chirping birds in the morning, bhuddist prayer chants in the distance and innumerous crickets at night. You can hear a few monkeys too but we dint see any at the property. The infinity pool is magic with a beautiful deck and bar. The views are so scenic with the beautiful rainforest lake in sight and reflections of the sun gleaming throughout the day. The sunrise is breathtaking from this deck, although if you have a lake facing room, then you can enjoy the sunrise from there too. Enjoy viewing an uninterrupted view of the stars in a clear night sky. Food was well curated and breakfast was excellent. The approach might feel like a little adventure but it's a part of heading into the rainforest. We had a memorable experience at Tri by Amaya and look forward to returning soon!

Having stayed at multiple resorts & hotels across Sri Lanka over a period of one and a half weeks, Tri by Amaya takes the win for the best stay overall for my wife and I. We happened to celebrate our Anniversary at Tri. General Manger Dinesh, Manager Harsha and Chef Camil helped plan out the day with multiple couple’s activities which included a couple’s spa, a 1.5 hour boat ride in the lake with drinks and refreshments, and a lavish dinner with off the menu vegetarian items along with a cake prepared by Chef Camil himself, all of which made the wifey super happy. We spent the rest of our time at the lake facing villa with a plunge pool, with full height windows, and a running balcony facing the lake with seating, which was absolutely perfect to say the least. An attempt to extend our stay by a day and skip 1 night in Colombo failed unfortunately as the Villa was already booked by other guests. All in all, felt pretty lucky and happy that Tri happened at the very end of our Sri Lanka trip, as it turned out to be an absolute banger, thanks to Dinesh and the entire team of service staff.

I originally booked in for two nights at The Sandhya—I was sold by the reviews of the hotel but wasn't sure about the beach as some reviews I read said it was too close to the highway. From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with this property and the beach. Everything is done so thoughtfully at The Sandhya—from the awesome service and interior design to the location, and delicious food. The beach is super chill and has a really nice laid-back vibe—the road wasn't an issue at all and the beach is great for walking, swimming, and surfing. My room (#3) was awesome - the view is incredible, it's spotless and the bed and linens are very comfortable. Water is provided and turn-down service is offered each evening. The staff really goes above and beyond while you are staying there and since it's a boutique hotel you really feel like you're being taken care of. I had booked 4 nights in Weligama afterward but cut the stay short to return to The Sandhya! Upon my return, the staff made me an amazing Sri Lankan dinner and when I checked out they gave me a Christmas gift! Super sweet! Breakfast was included in my stay and it was awesome: fruit juice, fresh fruit, toast + jam, and your choice of breakfast with coffee/tea. I also ate dinner there several times and the food was always delicious, well-presented and the service was impeccable! I can't wait to return to The Sandhya and highly recommend it!

I came back to Sri Lanka for the first time since the pandemic looking for a place to relax and base myself. The photos of Sandhya looked amazing (note - somehow better in real life) so I booked 7 nights. I was not expecting the simplicity and luxury I found and, with the small number of rooms, equal parts private and communal. I describe this as a modern guesthouse, coupled with barefoot luxury overlooking a pristine surf beach in the Southern District. Dan and his team do a great job making everyone comfortable, well fed and hydrated! The menu is tight but considered, and enough to keep me interested for the duration of my stay. There are a couple of good local places within a few minutes walk if you so wish. By good fortune I met the owner as he passed through on a visit. I always enjoy meeting the person behind the property, and Alan was a pleasure. Will I be back? Absolutely. The sheer easiness of all this space offers makes it a no-brainer.

We loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay from the originally booked 3 nights to 10 nights. The staff were beyond wonderful and we felt relaxed and "at home" in the environment. I had not experienced a boutique hotel yet in my travels and after staying at the Sandhya, a boutique hotel would be my first choice. The intimate, relaxed environment was a nice change from the typical large resort. The hotel's design, décor and attention to detail were exceptional, sort of a modern minimalist environment, yet with everything you need. And, you cant beat waking up with full ocean views right out your patio! Wonderful resort, would absolutely recommend and would definitely visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sandhya and it is definitely a place we want and long to come back to. The design is very Scandinavian and we like the colors, materials and vibe that brings along. The breakfast is good, the service is good, they make very nice dinner and cocktails too! The view of the ocean is breathtaking from all rooms. This is a place we're there is attention to ALL little details. Such as cushions on the sunbeds, fresh beach towels, your room is made twice a day, water in your room and all the staff we met were so nice. I love it!

We also were given some fruit when we got there, which was great over the couple of days we were there. We made full use of the restaurant (fantastic meals), bar and pool. Also used the day spa.The staff were incredibly friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. The only downfall would be the location -It is directly on the beach, but about 3km from Hikkaduwa and 12km from Galle. A nice walk to Hikka, and tuk tuk are easy and cheap enough for either town. There is very little close to the hotel - there is a Wine store though. Overall it was an excellent way for us to finish off our excellent holiday in Sri Lanka. We would happily stay in Aditya again.

I booked a suite to celebrate my mums 60th birthday, a treat after a two week tour around the island. The best hotel I have ever stayed in, and definitely the best I experienced in Sri Lanka. Stunningly beautiful, peaceful and friendly attentive staff. The hotel put an extra double bed in our suite and we still had loads of space for the sofa and chairs. The outside terrace with plunge pool and gold fish pond was beautiful and provided a lively place to sit for an early morning tea. The extras in the room were amazing, more than we could ask for, great turn down service with yummy chocolates. We arranged to have yoga with the recommended yoga teacher Sammna. He was fantastic and we ended up having a lesson every day of our trip. A real highlight of the day and able to do on our terrace. The food was fantastic, the rice and curry was the best I had on the island. We were treated so well by all the staff, who made us feel so at home and remembered all our little habits. A fantastic place and we will remember for a long time.

We stayed 3 nights at the Aditya Boutique Hotel and it was fantastic! The rooms are very clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower and the private plunge pool. The food was absolutely fabulous and the prices very reasonable. The staff were all smiles, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served at any time of the day - which is great when you're arriving from a long flight. The only downside was that the ocean is too dangerous to swim in - but that's not the hotel's fault. Not much to visit around the hotel so this is a place to stay put and relax. Would highly recommend Aditya!

Nice hotel but to small for children who had little to occupy them other than the pool as the sea was very rough. We went to the hotel to relax on our 45th wedding anniversary and the staff treated us very well with a welcome cake and 20 coloured tee lights in our room. If you want a sea view ask for a room away from the pool which is surrounded by trees.

Aditya is lovely. The staff are wonderful - they are friendly, professional, attentive, very organized and accommodating. The property is situated right on the beach, although the ocean wasn't safe for swimming (too rough) when we were there. We stayed in one of the new suites, where we had a view of the ocean and the trees in front of it. The suite was huge, with a massive bathroom, a big veranda, and a second floor with a whirlpool. It was a lovely space.The food is overall very good. The breakfasts are huge, with an excellent fruit plate and yummy banana pancakes. The Sri Lankan breakfast was also very tasty. We had the Sri Lankan vegetarian curry most evenings. Most of the curries were really good, and they varied some of the dishes so we weren't eating the exact same thing each night. There isn't a lot to do near the hotel. You can walk on the road, but you'll be in traffic. You can take a 3-wheeler to the larger town. We opted to just enjoy the place. The only real downside is that people can smoke on the property. One breakfast, a couple was smoking in the dining area, so we had to leave. Later, the staff seemed to have asked them to not smoke there, so that was good. But people do smoke by the pool, and if you're downwind, you'll have to deal with that. It would be better if there were a smoking area, away from common areas, to accommodate everyone.

The location is perfect - you get the quiet of the jungle but it’s super close to Galle and Ahangama. Service is perfect. Room and private pool - perfect. Food incredible. Sumudu the tuktuk driver is the best. Amazing.

A beautiful, secluded hotel with huge room and a private pool looking over the tea plantation and jungle. This is a very tranquil location and you very much feel at one with nature and your surroundings. Monkeys jumping around in the trees, peacocks walking around and endless bird songs. We did not use the main pool as our private villa pool was huge and the views were just as great, the rooms are also extremely private. The restaurant food was very good too and again with amazing views. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Stunning Villa Kadju, well maintained with amazing private pool and view to treetops. Pool has sun from 9 am to 3 pm. Huge cozy Villa in fresh light blue appearance. Good silent aircon. About 30 minutes by car to reach the nearest beach. Recommendation: Kabalana Beach is most wonderful for swimming and not crowded, hidden away from roadside. Amazing waves.

This is the 2nd time we've been to Villa Bentota. The hospitality and the service from the staff was excellent. The food was fantastic and tasty. The service was great too - cannot complain at all. There's someone coming to clean the room twice a day which is excellent. The garden which is directly parallel to the railway line is beautifully maintained. The pools are clean. We love the privacy afforded to us when the pool is used. The surroundings are tranquil and the building is beautiful.

Beautifully designed, and gifted with a gorgeous garden and pool, this is a lovely place to stay, very close to the beach, but close to Bentota town, and Lunuganga, if you're a Bawa fan. It's a quiet, intimate place, ideal for relaxation. My room was exceptional, in design and comfort, up a flight of steps, with views of the garden and pools, and with privacy too. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I am very happy to recommend it.

The hotel was total luxury from when you enter. Great welcome by the staff, beautiful grounds, beautiful pool and lovely rooms. Trains going past was a cool touch and can walk straight down to the most stunning beach. Can walk along and there are great beach bars and loads of people playing volleyball. We were at the hotel for a family wedding and it was incredible. Would find it difficult to find a hotel that comes close to it in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay here, it's a 10/10 and we cannot wait to come back. Everything was great: The friendly and helpful staff, beautiful property, located directly by the beach, the stunning pool, the food and drink options, walkability to other restaurants and the village. We definitely recommend staying here!

Hilton Yala is a stunning hotel, newly built and with every detail of the highest specification. Our pool villa was spacious and beautifully designed. The grounds are immaculate and the expansive pool is incredible. The real selling point of this hotel however is the staff and the amazing service. Every single member of staff we encountered on our two night stay was friendly and helpful. You really get a sense of a hotel that want you to have the best stay possible and will go out of their way to make sure that happens. We were lucky enough to go on a morning safari with ranger Praneeth, who was so intent on finding us the elephants we wanted to see that he extended our safari by an hour to ensure it happened ! In the end, not only did we see a herd of elephants but a leopard too. It really is a magical place and we are already planning a return trip.

Everything was excellent, from the facilities to the restaurant. The pool water also seemed to be properly filtered, and none of us—including the children—had any stomach issues. The Ayurvedic spa massage was also excellent. We had a wonderful experience with both the beach walk and the safari tour. We were lucky enough to see elephants, though the leopard didn’t make an appearance. Even so, we truly appreciated how the ranger kept searching deep into the park until the very end. The dishes prepared by the head chef, who kindly came to greet us at our table on the first night, were absolutely delicious! For breakfast, I had GM Sri Lanka every single day. It’s a hotel I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you so much! The clean-up activity in the national park was also a really enjoyable experience.

We had the most magnificent stay at Hilton Yala. Everything was perfect. You could really see that the hotel was newly built, everything in the room was perfect and designed to perfection and the rooms are very spacious. The personal was also super helpful and very friendly and catered all of our wishes. We even had the chance to see an elephant only a few meters away while we were laying on the pool and he entered the property which was amazing! Would definitely go back immeadiately.

The food was excellent, the staff were incredible (especially Hashini and Dilanka in the restaurant). We were given an upgrade to the best room which was incredible. The safaris we had were so incredible and again the guide was fantastic. The pool area is stunning, the service was brilliant across all aspects of the stay. Wish we stayed longer!

Great location for yala safari. Resort is stunning. Staff are kind and friendly and helpful. Spa was worth doing, I went at night so I didn’t waste the day at the spa. Gym was great. Pool was unreal. All the food was great. Great breakfast. I had a great stay and will be back.

Well designed buildings and particularly beautiful and large bar area. The room (luxury seafront) was spacious and well furnished, with the housekeeping team providing a great service. A few niggles regarding other service levels and amenities, though (given that it’s a 5 star hotel): - No regular drinks waiter service at the beach - No regular drinks waiter service around the pool areas - We asked a pool bar man who happened to be passing by our loungers if he would bring us the drinks menu, he said ‘yes’ and that was the last we saw of him - Once phoned front desk from the room but it just kept on ringing with no answer The spa was superb, even though the prices are the same as in the UK. Generally, the prices of food and drink are very high which probably explains why the main bar and restaurants were pitifully empty every night we were there.

We arrived at the hotel late at night, but was greeted with a great surprise that our room was upgraded to a corner suite! (as other rooms were fully booked on that day) The view from the room was fantastic with river, pools, sea views on the both sides. Also there were Dilmar tea prepared in the room which we enjoyed so much during our stay! The highlight for me was the breakfast - the restaurant was so beautiful, and the food was amazing with lots of Sri Lankan and other food options! Very accessible to the peaceful beach and we enjoyed the sunset on the beach bed too. I would really love to stay longer in this resort, so would definitely be back soon!

We had a brilliant stay. Our room was gorgeous, the grounds and facilities were beautiful and the service was 10/10. Special shout-out to the pool bar staff for being particularly great and the management for shorting out a last minute request to extend our stay there.

A fair hotel in a good location. Pool area is nice and direct access to the beach. The restaurant offers a large buffet with all you can ask for, except for gluten free options that is limited. The rooms are of OK standard.
