Beautiful villa with a private pool. Also had access to the public pool and beach area which were also lovely (technically public but very secluded). Food was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful - had a lovely stay!

This hotel was just perfect. We had a room with private pool which made the stay even more special. Short stroll to the beach. Beautiful food and very calm relaxing atmosphere. Staff was excellent and the last night we were treated with a beautiful romantic dinner by the beach. Absolutely amazing.

Really lovely staff, super relaxing, the beach is technically public but we never saw anyone not from the hotel. Lovely massages and daily yoga class. The villa was spacious and had a lovely private pool. Highly recommend.

Atha Resort is simply amazing. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially the service at breakfast - and food was really good! Our room was spacious and beautiful, and the private pool was so great. The location is close to many sights easily accessible by Tuk Tuk.

Amazing facilities, food and staff were so helpful and always checking in on us. We stayed in a deluxe room which was huge with a plunge pool and a view of Pidurangala Rock. We stayed for 3 nights, but would have been happy to stay longer!

The best hotel in our 3 week trip (out of 10 hotels). The room was massive, bed was really comfortable and the private pool was gorgeous. Staff were really lovely and the restaurant had so much choice. Sad we couldn’t stay longer!

Beautiful grounds with a water garden running through the property. Amazing breakfast - don't fill up on the bread and pastries as more will be coming! We had a private pool, which was a privilege and the staff are wonderful.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. As it is a small hotel, the staff and always remembered each gurst and even breakfast preferences! The only reason for a 4 on the facilities, is that there isn't a pool or outside area to sit, but even as we were there, building works were happening. I believe they are building a rooftop pool. That would overlook the beautiful Kandy lake and the temple. Fabulous location and wonderful staff. Thank you.

Beautiful stay at this gorgeous hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only thing that would make it better is a pool but they are building one on the roof, so that will be amazing. It’s no alcohol but you can drink just around the corner outside the temple grounds. Lots of places nearby and it’s an excellent location. Would visit again and highly recommend.

We are a Sri Lankan-American family, and we vacationed in Sri Lanka during the summer of 2024. From the moment we booked with The Radh Hotel, we knew we would love our stay. The hotel was quaint, the staff was extremely attentive, and our stay was peaceful. My father, who is a 75-year-old Sri Lankan native, has severe Alzheimer's disease and the staff at The Radh took extra care to attend to his needs and make him feel safe and welcome. I was extremely impressed and felt at ease with the reassurance of the front desk staff. The front desk manager provided exemplary service to our family. He assisted with SO many needs that we expressed during our stay. Our experience was above and beyond. My daughter enjoyed her birthday at the hotel, as well. She felt very special and was sad to leave.Thank you so much! We will stay at this hotel again when we return to Sri-Lanka.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Radh Hotel. The staff was most welcoming, helpful and polite from the very moment we arrived. They found all the information with traveling that we présented them with, promptly and always with a smile. Our room had a lovely balcony unto the street and yet it was quiet. The bedroom itself was well appointed with a mini fridge filled with complementary drinks and snacks and a kettle to make tea. The bathroom was stylish and the shower spacious. The breakfast buffet presents a vast array of choices from egg dishes such as omelets on demand, bread, jams, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals but also more local fares such as curry and much more. The location is ideal to tour the stunning city of Kandy. Starting with the temple of the sacred tooth just at the end of the street and lake few step away…

My wife and I recently had the great pleasure of staying at Kandy’s excellent Radh boutique hotel for 3 nights during the stunning Kandy Perahera Festival. With a great location on one of the quieter streets in the very centre of fascinating, bustling Kandy, tucked away only a few hundred meters from the Temple of The Tooth, The Radh has it all. From its distinctive architecture, well appointed, clean and comfortable rooms and yummy breakfasts, to its most outstanding attribute, its wonderful, welcoming, genuinely friendly and always very helpful staff, with a special thanks to front of house manager Dhanush, Michael, Abdul and manager Domani, our Radh experience deserves our 5 star rating. P.S. As a really special treat, Dhanush arranged for one of the Perahera elephants to be walked down to The Radh forecourt where we had the great thrill of feeding this magnificent animal. Wow! We booked the Chalet Suite Triple with Private Pool and we would do it again even though we were only 2. The accommodation was incredible, super well maintained and comfortable. very nice place to stay. Good to do excursions from there, like to stay and relax at the hotel pool or privet pool

Beautiful little family-run hotel. Rooms are gorgeous (ask for the one with the beaut little private pool!). Set in lush grounds where we saw bats at night, a Sri Lankan giant squirrel and plenty of birds. The pool area is outstanding for swimming or relaxing.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great value, lovely staff and decent breakfast. We did two nights here, one night in a standard room and one night in a room with a private pool. Private room was worth it, lovely and new.

We had a lovely recent visit to Le Grand Galle. The hotel was very quiet as it was off season. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a room with a plunge pool. Fabulous! We loved that it was close to town so we could walk to the Fort (even at night). Overall, the hotel is still growing up as it is only a year or two old but the rooms are amazing and the staff is very friendly. We look forward to visiting them again in future.

This property really blew us away, location is literally at the end of the city overlooking the sea and with Galle fort right next to it. The pool and gardens overlook the sea and fort, just lovely. We booked the private pool suite and honestly it was one of the biggest rooms my wife and I have ever stayed in. The washroom alone was as big as many normal hotel rooms. Features in the room, overall comfort was top class. The staff exceptional and super attentive. We literally loved every meal we ate there and that includes the initial day room service which we had to wolf down to catch an evening tour group into Galle fort. We made sure to spend time in the lovely pool every day we were there and ended up having either lunch or dinner at the hotel everyday. This type of room opens into a private garden that overlooks the sea, just beautiful every morning to wake up to it and have your morning coffee or tea.

We stayed in the Superior Room which has a private pool. The whole stay was wonderful. The staff were very attentive and there are golf buggies to ferry you around. The a la cadre was much better than the buffet but the food was still generally good. The swimming pools are excellent.

The property is impressive. You arrive in a spacious, beautiful arrival hall. The rooms are aesthetically spread over the property. You walk by the lake on your way from the public spaces to the room. Yes, you are surrounded by nature, and still so close to Dambulla and Sigiriya. We had two different room categories: The superior one with private pool and a regular villa. Both rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The private pool looked amazing (as the public pool too). Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, we weren't able to use any during our stay. We would highly recommend staying there at least 2, best 3 nights, to make the best out of the beautiful facilities and the sightseeing spots in the area. Keep in mind that there are no touristic outside eating options within 20 minutes driving, which means it is really a good idea to book half board unless you have your own vehicle or driver and don't mind driving extra for every meal.

Excellent location and pools. Pity they closed the pool when it rained- we only stayed one night so couldn’t use the pool as much as we’d have liked! Otherwise beautiful property and delicious buffet!

The location, facing the Lake, surrounded by such a lush nature, can justify itself the rate for a stay here. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here, and all food was extremely good. Positive feedback about the massage at the SPA too Extremely helpful staff! We loved the pool located far from the main building (the 2 pools adjacent to the main building were busier)

Everything was perfect. The location was superb. The staff is so friendly. Chef Madura and team gave our little one a surprise birthday gift. The food was delicious with a range of varieties. Main pool, a signature pool and the lake really match the location. There is an excellent wellness centre-Wedamadura with a qualified and friendly team.

This is a lovely resort with a private beach. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was all delicious and lots of choice across the three restaurants. The pool villa room we had was amazing with our own private pool. It was really quiet and lovely to sit and relax. Our villa host Yohan was really friendly and helpful, we could WhatsApp him any requests and he would sort them very promptly, and he would pick us up in the electric tuk tuk to transport us around the resort. There is a lovely main pool area and you can access the hotel’s beach easily which has lovely views, although the sea was too rough to swim in. Nice complimentary activities like yoga. The spa is very nicely done with a relaxing atmosphere, although more expensive than other treatments at other Sri Lanka hotels. The resort is well designed and there is wildlife easily seen around the resort like peacocks and monkeys.

Me and my wife visited Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort for a much-needed break, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and peaceful surroundings instantly made us feel relaxed and taken care of. The location is absolutely stunning – nestled between coconut palms and the ocean, it feels like a hidden paradise. We stayed in a Garden pool villa, and it was absolutely perfect – spacious, private, and surrounded by lush greenery. Waking up to birdsong, enjoying coffee by our private pool, and feeling completely disconnected from the outside world was exactly what we needed.. The staff were amazing – friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They made us feel special every step of the way. We also loved the food. Whether it was the breakfast buffet at Journeys, Italian at Il Mare, or authentic Asian cuisine at Verala, specially the authentic Thai dishes made by Chef Punn. Overall, Anantara Tangalle gave us everything we were looking for – peace, privacy, romance, and a real sense of luxury. It was the perfect place to reconnect, and we left feeling refreshed and full of beautiful memories. We’d recommend it to any couple looking for something truly special.

On the plus side : upgraded to a villa with plunge pool. Massive amount of space. Tastefully decorated. Huge bed. Shower was great - lots of hot water and pressure. Massive resort that needs transport to get around, very efficient with the transport service. Staff very polite. Fabulous views from the Italian restaurant - would recommend it for sundowners. On the negative side: massive resort that has no soul. No privacy within the villa at all- anyone can see in at any stage to almost all parts (with the exception of the toilet) of the villa while passing - requires blinds to be drawn which detracts from the experience. Not a great deal on offer for Sri Lankan food, got told that the Sri Lankan themed night was the night before. At the poolside they had one choice which was not vegetarian but discussion resulted in yes veg was possible. Took a seat made our order for vegetarian curry to be told no there was only beef curry available . Got that sorted. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant as it had a selection of Sri Lankan dishes (!!) - worst Kotthu in 3 weeks of travelling - waaay too salty. Could not eat it . Did not get charged for it . Did have a discussion with chef who tasted and agreed. Also in organizing onward transport - a ridiculous price Quoted for hotel transport. Did get an outside tuktuk eventually sorted at more reasonable money.

As soon as we entered the resort area we knew we did the right choice booking this resort. This is a new resort which has been opened two years ago. The ground and the landscaping were perfect. It’s directly on the beach and at the same time you can enjoy the wild life of Sri Lanka. Peacocks, squirrels, different kind of birds, plantation, rice fields, tree house... A group of singers started to sing welcoming us as soon as we entered the open lobby. Then a fresh coconut juice was served. The check in was quick and a personal employee accompanied each of us to the rooms. My room was an ocean view room #313...So beautifully designed and spacious. The bathroom is amazing and well designed. The breakfast was included with the room and you can enjoy a wide selection of food even Indian and Middle Eastern food. We tried all the restaurants at the hotel and the food was tasty. We also tried a set menu dinner with a show. There are 2 pools and a jacuzzi on the pool area. There are many villas with private pools too. A special thanks to Mr. Ravi for his hospitality...He took me for a hotel tour and offered a free boat ride...We planted a coconut tree at the hotel too. He was so friendly and helpful. For sure I will stay here next time I visit Tangalle. Thank you Anantara for making my 1st visit to Sri Lanka an unforgettable experience.

We could not be more thrilled with our experience at Anantara Peace Haven. The whole experience was flawless from before check-in to after check-out. FOOD: The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge range of options that were all delicious. COMFORT: The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. The view was beautiful and the bathroom clean and spacious. ACTIVITIES: The complimentary activities, including yoga, was very much appreciated. POOL/BEACH: Both pools are comfor1table and the nearby beach is excellent for a day relaxing - unfortunately, you cannot swim in this beach due to dangerous currents and waves, however, there are plenty of nearby beaches safe for swimming. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The professionalism and care of the staff is second to none. We had an exceptional experience delivered by all staff on site, including the housekeeping, check-in staff, restaurant service as well as pool/beach guards. We would like to give a very special mention to Yashani de Alwis who truly ent above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay. The personal concierge service is unique and was deeply appreciated. Overall, this place far exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful, relaxing resort with an amazing pool with a view. enjoyed our stay in this impressive hotel. The entrance is sublime-up the stairs and into a vast foyer with the wonderful view over the pool, forest and onto the rock fortress in the distance. Rooms are spacious and spread out over the vast resort area-beautiful gardens including a butterfly walk-filled with native birds were a delight. Food in the Chines restaurant was excellent and we were pleased to find out that this restaurant opened at 5:30pm which was great after some very early starts. Service at the pool was friendly and the pool itself is amazing. Wait staff in the restaurants were wonderful and helpful and always with a smile

I have travelled extensively and I have to say, the hotel pool is AMAZING and I don't use that word lightly! The architecture overall is really impressive and the pool has been designed as the centre piece, as though sitting within the jungle with a stunning view of the Lion's Rock, it's delightful! The staff are super helpful and kind, rooms good size with comfort in mind. Great breakfast, we ate lunch and dinner there. I thought the buffet was good value, but there is also the a la carte and their other restaurants to try for variety. Really good equipped gym and badnington court. I tried the spa which was a nice experience. This was the last destination on our trip and by far are most luxurious; superb value for money, considering it's a 5 star. Thank you Team Aliya, we loved staying at your wonderful hotel and hope to return to one day. I've already recommended you to friends who are travelling to Sri Lanka next year!

The entrance was fantastic, if you like taking videos you wanna get your phone out when you walk up the stairs. The greeting was perfect, relaxed, welcome drink, formal but relaxed. The room was brilliant, we had a chalet, incredible layout, very spacious and comfortable, shower needed some attention but the bath was perfect. Pool wonderful, wow, wow wow. The service was a bit slow for drinks around the pool but that's literally the only complaint of the place. Dinoker was always on hand and a really good guy, also Roshin who never seems to have a day off, working in all restaurants all day everyday an absolute gentleman, so friendly and laughs all the time. Brilliant members of staff

The rooms were very spacious. Hospitality was brilliant. Ajith and his team do a great job maintaining the stunning pool. Photos were nice but the pool in person was exceptional.

The room we had was amazing. It was our last night in Sri Lanka but probably the best night we had. Amazing sunset..private pool, great food. We felt like a king and queen. Staff were amazing and so friendly. The lounge areas where also great for just relaxing. There is also plenty to explore in the surrounds within walking distance.

After 5 months stay at different places in SL I mostly enjoyed a proper water pressure in bathroom/shower, real cleanness, well trained staff but not stiff. Really felt welcome not just being a ATM ;) Only having breakfast twice and inroom dining as well, I was more than satisfied about taste, quality and presentation. Maybe for longer stays variety could become little limited. From front desk, restaurant/pool, security employees all of them are very empathic also to 4legged nonpaying visitors seeking shelter or some food.

The entire team is super friendly and accommodating. Service and check-in was quick and the restaurant team were attentive and quick. A great boutique hotel and definitely staying again in the penthouse with private pool.

The boutique hotel was very chic and modern. Very clean and nice sun beds and pool. The staff was extremely nice and made sure all of our needs were addressed. The hotel room was very clean and beautiful. The suite with the private pool was one of the best rooms I have stayed in and had very modern interior design. The room was spotless and spacious and we all had a lot of space. The communication prior to arrival was very good via email as I wanted to get a car service to pick us up from the airport. Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

we stayed in the triple O Six suite and it was the most incredible room I have every stayed in. Absolutely huge, sea view, lovely private pool and very modern and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly and the location was great- walking distance to a few restaurants and right across the road from Coconut tree hill view point where you can watch the sunset

We stayed at a room with a private pool and it was FANTASTIC!!!! Worth the money! It had such a beautiful view, so specious, modern and comfortable! Loved every detail! The breakfast was super tasty! The staff is super polite, and an expecetional customer service was provided. This hotel exceeds all my expectations - highly recommended!!!

Such a lovely hotel with the nicest staff. We stayed for 4 nights and was the perfect end to our Sri Lanka trip! our room was so clean with an amazing bathroom with rain shower. The balcony overlooking the pool was great. The hotel being new means the facilities are in excellent condition. The restaurant was nice and air conditioned, with the breakfast buffet having a range of western and asian options. Being vegetarian, there wasn't a lot on the menu for us, but the chef happily adapted dishes to suit our needs. There wasn't a bar at the time of our visit but this was coming in the next few days we were told as the licensing was coming through being such a brand new hotel. The pool was such a great addition to our stay, able to cool of after a sweltering day whale watching. The hotel were happy to arrange any excursions that we wanted including whale watching and the spas.

Recommend the rooms on the second level for a slight view. Highly recommend the in-house restaurant, where the chef had a tough job of catering to our party with 5 vegetarians. Great variety of food, well prepared.

The Resort is tucked around a corner from busy roads and is quiet, the pool looked fantastic, we didn't use it. but we had dinner by the pool one night, it was an excellent meal. The breakfasts were fantastic both Sri Lankan and Western style. Our room had a veranda, lovely to sit at in the late evening and morning. Fantastic air-conditioning and a lovely bathroom.

Excellent Stay – perfect location and staff. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel!. Nice and clean pool. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. From check-in to check-out, the service was great. The service throughout our stay was excellent — efficient, professional, and personal. Nice swimming pool and restaurant with affordable prices. Hotel is very close to the main sites of Anuradhapura. The rooms are large with a fantastic bathroom with a great shower.

First of all I would like to thank the hotel owner Niroshan and his wife Lakshmi for their hospitality and for making everything for our comfortable stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is located in a picturesque village just above the Madhu River. The rooms have a beautiful view of the river, islands and jungle. There are only six rooms in the hotel, so Niroshan can give enough time and attention to each of the guests. Start your day with the pool and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious and quite varied. Niroshan is a wonderful cook with years of experience, so be sure to try the dishes prepared by him. Our stay here fell on New Year's Eve, which we decided to celebrate at the hotel, which we never regretted. The hotel team organized for us an unforgettable evening with delicious food, wine, fireworks and national dances. Especially memorable was the excursion to a tea plantation and a tea factory. You should definitely visit it, you will learn a lot of interesting things about the technology of harvesting and production, as well as taste very tasty tea. Niroshan is a very interesting person and will gladly tell you about the specifics of life on the island, local traditions and history. I did not want to leave. But we will definitely come back, because there is still so much to see on the island, so much to try!

I don't know where to start. The place is just magical. It's completely in nature and has an amazing view over the lake. The surroundings are peaceful far away from any noise. The rooms are the biggest I've stayed in here in Sri Lanka and very luxurious. Also the balcony is huge and you can sit down and just enjoy the view on bird island and the lake as well as from your bed when you're waking up. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing and I had it all by myself. Besides the great place the hospitality was on a next level. My mornings have started with a refreshing homemade juice/smoothie that was brought to my room and free of charge. What a great start to the day. Furthermore, the owner arranged a private boat tour on the lake to visit the small islands such as Cinnamon island and I even could see a small crocodile on the tour. The tour took over 3 hours and it was no mass tour. Also, he recommended a great tour guide for Yala National Park and Ella. The dinner I had at the hotel was amazing. You can taste that he was previously working in a 5 star restaurant as a chef. Thanks again for everything and I definitely will come back the next time I'm visiting Sri Lanka.

Everything was perfect! The host with his family and staff was so kind to us and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights but would have liked to stay a little longer. The swimming pool was clean and a nice temperature, the food was delicious and made with love. The view on the lake was so beautiful. This was the best room we got during our 28 days stay in Sri Lanka. It was very clean, the shower was good and it was nicely designed. Extra compliments for the owner, the family and the staff! They were smiling all the time. We can't thank them enough for our experience

Beautiful artistic building (inside and outside) in a even more beautiful scenery looking out over the lake. Turned out that the owner is also chef, and a great one. The food, the service, the views, the pool, the terrace, the rooms and all the personal artwork scattered around the hotel is amazing. Don't hesitate, book this place. You will love it.

The hosts were very accommodating and got anything that we requested. The view of the lake was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. These days in Sri Lanka it is hard to find a vacation spot that is not crowded but this place was perfectly quiet. Also the room was amazing! The pool was beautifully kept and maintained.

best property we’ve ever stayed in. all of the following were world class- service, food quantity and quality, location, pool, access to the beach. most of all a bit shout out to the staff and the ability to customize for our sake as we had 2 small kids.

The staff were fantastic, so accommodating and helpful. They were very friendly and great with our kids. The food was outstanding as well. We stayed in the two bedroom villa with private pool and it was so lovely.

An oasis of beauty and tranquility. Just eight rooms, more like a home than a hotel. Such peaceful views across the lawn onto the beach through ancient trees. It’s on a very rare patch of Sri Lankan beach with no other hotels or restaurants, just the local fishermen. It’s a magical stretch of beach with hardly any tourists on it. The powerful waves means its not ideal for swimming. But if you walk around the corner 15 min away there is a calmer huge beach, but much more crowded and built up . I did have a quick dip every day, but better to swim around the corner . On the way is a rock jacuzzi pool perfect for young kids, and very popular with the locals at the week end. I discovered it’s co owned/managed by a norwegian so the material standards are really high, beautiful local furniture, gorgeous interior decoration, sophisticated simplicity or is it Asian elegant ‘hygge’ ? The food is delicious, beautifully presented with a choice of local and international dishes, fairly priced as well. As a solo traveller it’s a real haven. The staff are particularly kind and attentive. The manager even called me at 22.00 when I wasn’t back to check all was ok.

We loved everything: the rooms were large and with beautiful design, everything super clean; very confortable bed. At one point we were the only guests (our group) since it is a small resort. The pool is amazing, food was perfect. It s best to preorder, so you don t wait. Try Tomato and Orange soup, my favorite, also shrimps, pasta, lamb.. they have a very good Chef. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The nearby Balapytia beach was so beautiful, we saw a wonderful sunset from the rocks. It was splendid to relax here after visiting the island. It was one if the 2 best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only 5 km to River Madu boat tour. 30-40 min to Hikkaduwa to see turtles.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it felt like a hidden paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a fruit platter, chocolates, and delicious Sri Lankan sweets in our room. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious, especially the continental and American dishes. Everything was perfect. The hotel boasts a big swimming pool and a beautifully scenic beach atmosphere. My room had a jacuzzi on the balcony directly facing the sea, creating an amazing ambiance with the ocean and pool outside. The rooms were spacious with lovely décor, and the beds were really comfortable. Overall, I had an amazing stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The service was on a very high level - the staff paid attention even to small details. The room and bathroom were big and comfortable with nice balcony and view. The common areas (restaurant, pool, beach) were large so that it didn’t feel crowded at any time. I recommend the spa service - the massages and other treatments we did were really good.

Location was splendid, you have private access to a section of the beach. Lifeguards are on duty on the beach and around the pool. The staff across Aditya are so receptive, they go out of their way to make it an incredible stay for you whether you are there one night or more.

Fabulous boutique hotel. The staff were attentive and always happy to cater to our needs. The room was clean and comfortable, plus we had our own plunge pool which was perfect. The food was delicious and flavourful. The grounds are neatly kept and it was nice to see chipmunks and mongoose roaming around. During our stay, there were many other couples enjoying their stay, in a comfortable quiet and relaxing atmosphere. No kids to be seen which made it even more wonderful to unwind. We will be back.

The pool was cleaned every day, just like the beach area. Our room was made up daily with fresh towels and new bedsheets — super clean! The restaurant is honestly the best we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Breakfast (included in the stay) was made with fresh ingredients and looked amazing. We especially loved the traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Dinner felt like a celebration every night — the menu is huge, and every single dish we tried was 10/10, especially the seafood! The chef always came by to check on us and have a nice chat — such a lovely touch. We were treated incredibly well for the whole week and honestly didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for exceptional service, aesthetic interiors, spotless cleanliness, and the most delicious food — you’ll truly enjoy the island to the fullest! ❤️

Warm welcome with cold towels and afternoon tea. Our twin bedded room wasn’t huge but more than adequate. Comfy bed, good pillows and quality of bedding. Wonderful bathroom with bath and rainforest shower. Lovely products and strong hairdryer. The villa is perfectly situated on a wonderful sandy beach - there are some beach bars and restaurants if needed. However the food in the hotel is amazing and of similar price so to be honest I would just eat here. In addition to the fab beach there is a small swimming pool. As mentioned above the food is of top quality. Breakfast was outstanding - either Sri Lankan or continental including freshly made juices, cut fruit and a good choice of hot dishes. Coffee was the best we had in our 10 days in Sri Lanka. Both our evening meals were also faultless. Nice touch that they offer complimentary king coconut mid morning and afternoon tea All staff are very helpful but Special mention to Janaka, Sanjevee and the Executive Chef who kindly gave me a cookery lesson. Would highly recommend this very well run boutique hotel.

New, exceptionally stylish property that was celebrating its 1 year anniversary while we stayed…we got a delicious piece of birthday cake! The location is excellent with direct access to a nice beach (which has a few restaurants and bars within walking distance) and easy reach of a turtle sanctuary definitely worth visiting, as well as a great beach bar called Waves a short Tuk Tuk ride away. You have the choice of cooling down in the ocean or in the hotel’s exquisite pool and, as is typical throughout Sri Lanka, it’s the lovely people who make a place special and this hotel is no exception. Choice of Western or Sri Lankan breakfast, both of which were plentiful. You won’t be disappointed if you book to stay at this hotel. We were sorry to leave.

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The design of the hotel is stunning, staff very friendly and helpful, spoiled us during all our stay. We enjoyed our time so much the time spent at Villa Thamburu and we thought to expend few more days but we had work duty and was not possible. The suite Pedro, our accommodation, was extremely comfortable and perfect for a romantic time! Food was good and hotel very clean. The public beach outside is beautiful but not suitable for swimming however we enjoyed our lazy chill in the hotel beach and pool.

The perfect spot for a quick relaxing get-away. This intimate hotel (10 or 12 rooms) has good-sized room with a king bed and a twin bed futon chair. The service was very personalized with our meals delivered to our room at our request. There is a nice lawn with good soft grass and a long pool with an attached kids pool also. But the best part was our own private pool, with a roof, so we could keep swimming even during the downpours of the rainy season (my only complaint, which is very minor, is that I would have liked brighter lighting in the private pool). As the name indicates, it's very garden-like with each room set back from the central walkway by a lovely garden area. Less than 90 minutes from central Colombo, I highly recommend it for a weekend getaway. Most or all of the rooms have private pools, some an indoor square pool about 2.5 feet deep, perfect for kids, and with jacuzzi jets against the wall with the bench, and some an outdoor round pool with jacuzzi jets. Seemed very new. Nice menu with items like a watermelon prawn salad, tuna steaks, pasta dishes and local curries. I plan to go again.

Some Bungalows have a LARGE private internal jacuzzi, plunge pool. Others an outside, but not visible to others, plunge pool. There is a restaurant with food cooked to order and next door is a small beach cafe. Beers are around £2 a pint in either. (2019) This is a quiet place immediately on the beach. You can eat breakfast under an open sided gazebo right overlooking the beach and watch local fishermen haul in their catch. This is a beautiful, natural place with very few tourists, but everyone is friendly and helpful and if you want to enjoy Sri Lanka’s natural beautiful beaches and endulge yourself with luxury facilities this is the place for you. The swimming pool is 25 meters long and there is a shallow pool for little children. The entire place is immaculate. Of course you can arrange trips as well. Or walk into the local village of Wadduwa where there are ATM’s and a railway station. One of the nicest places I have stayed and excellent value for money

I can’t start explainig how amazing were the three days we spent in Clive Garden. We spent 10 days travelling around the island and we wanted to finish the trip in a quiet place. We could not have chosen a better place. The hotel is amazing, the staff is always taking care of you and very friendly. The beach was empty, we spent the three days with long walks and enjoying the sunshine! The only thing that I would say to improve is that the first day we were only offered a very short menu with only pasta or rice. That was changed for the other two days so that was good but perhaps it should be clear since the beginning that you have other options. Last night they prepared for us an amazing fish that we enjoyed while watching the sunset, truly amazing :) Our room was perfect, and the private pool was very refreshing for the very hot hours that you can’t be on the sun. We will definitely come back!

Luxurious hotel, with nice private pool and good restaurant. Very close to the beach. However, worth noting outside the hotel there is little in the Bentota area in terms of restaurants and shops.

Perfect hotel, very close to beach. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun by the sea or poolside. Rooms are spotless and spacious with everything laid out well. All food is freshly cooked and the service flawless. We were looked after incredibly well by Anura and Dominic who could not do enough to help. Many thanks to all the staff.

excellent staff who could not do enough to make sure your stay was as you would want it.Pool was wonderfully warm and gardens were exquisite and very colourful. Trains were noisy but interesting and after a while you did not notice them.

The hotel was beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. The railway is at the end of the garden and is occasionally noisy but I loved it. I would recommend staying here as a couple for relaxation.

I spent 2 nights at this beautiful property, and I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the staff. The check-in process was seamless, and I was immediately made to feel like a valued guest. We received a great welcome drink, fruit and chocolates! The property is beautiful, access to the beach was perfect but what truly sets The Villas Wadduwa apart from other properties was the exceptional level of customer service. I had a luxury villa with plunge pool; it was perfect and worth the upgrade. We dined on-site for breakfast, lunch and dinner; they offer traditional cuisine and a good variety of other foods. I recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

Leopard Trails is a fabulous rustic luxury camp in the beautiful Wilpattu Park. This was one of our favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka! The Naturalist guide who took us on safari was attentive, knowledgable, and a genuinely great guy. Back at camp, the rooms were comfortable and the private dining candle lit dinners were magically romantic. I recommend the suite with the plunge pool, it was bliss after a hot and dusty drive on safari. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this special place!

Amazing place to stay if you plan to do a Safari in Wilpattu. The tent is very beautiful, the staff is super atentious and you can feel very close to nature. Calm and relaxing stay! I totally recomend it!
