Asked you for two villas near each other, one with a pool and one without, however this is not possible. The pool villas are entirely separate. We were supposed to have been informed about this but we were not.. Luckily they had a pool villa vacant close to the other one and they let us have that. I think it was you who were supposed to tell us as they did not have our email address. Otherwise everything was good pwith our holiday in spite of a worring start. And at 80 plus years old you don't want that !

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was beside apartment. This accommadation was great. A very clean spacious apartment. It had everything we needed to use. This was our first apartment on our holiday in Spain and Portugal. There was a great supermarket in castro marim. In hind sight we would have stocked up on small butter cubes and individual laundry washing powder sachets. Only place in Spain and Portugal we saw them! Had a nice big clothes rack. It was a nice location out in the countryside. When we were there in October, there weren't many other people around so very quite. Sadly this meant bar facilities at golf club were closed the days we were there. We went along to Tavira which was a great day trip in car. We also checked out the fort at castro marim which was interesting and had great veiws. Only 1 entrance so make sure you know where to head before you end up doing a lap of whole hill in the heat!!! We enjoyed using the pool. We had views overlooking the pool area through the pine trees. Very relaxing. We would return here.

the house was exactly like the pictures, very clean and comfortable. The pool is big and chairs were available the whole time. The house was very close to the pool, which was great. The site is very quiet, ideal to relax. The distance to the beach is manageable if you travel with a car.

Located just short of the border with Spain, and about 40 minutes from Faro airport, this is part of the Algarve yet to be over developed. Very quiet location although it must be noted early May isn't height of the season! Staff were extremely courteous and helpful; when we arrived our villa wasn't ready (they have 2 & 3 bed villas as well as villas with pools) so we were offered a drink whilst we waited; after 15 minutes we were escorted to our villa (which is necessary if your first visit because quite a way from the reception) and very impressed with the standard of accommodation. Unfortunately the main clubhouse is currently being refurbished but from the outside looks very elegant; the temporary clubhouse is functional but it would be unfair to judge Castro Marim G&CC on this as they are obviously working very hard to get the work finalised as soon as possible. For a golfing holiday, family break (fabulous beaches only 10 minute drive away) or just a few days away in the sun this is an ideal location. We will be back!

Resort is very nice, house was great, pool and snack bar also very nice. There is no cleaning during stay but it was ok. I was surprised trash cans for plastics, glas etc were locked and they provided information they dont use it. I have seen sorting trash cans almost everywhere in Portugal but here it was just "for image". There is almost everything in house but no thing lke tablet to dishwasher. You have to go to reception and buy one... But overall it was very nice stay and I can recommand it to everyone.

Spacious complex with a good size kids pool and main pool. Stairs in accommodation were tiled and very steep and narrow but other then that they were well equipped and clean

Good location less than 10 m.walk to waterfront. Development looking a bit tired in places but clean and well run. Staff all very helpful if not overly cheerful. Pool area not really sufficient for size of development. Could do with second, adult only pool.

Fabulous complex & apartment. Clean and well-appointed accommodation. There could be a steep flight of steps to your apartment, so check that out beforehand if it is likely to be an issue.Staff are excellent, very helpful, and friendly. Great location with complimentary tourist train( you could walk it's only 10-15 minutes)and then short boat ride to cabanas beach. The pool & cafe on site are very good and not expensive. We didn't try the restaurant as buffet style & not to our personal taste. Very good selection of restaurants & bars within a short walk . Most have really good live music a couple of nights a week.

Det er ok! Personalet er imponerende imødekommende, høflige og meget villige til at hjælpe. Værelset/huset havde hvad man forventer, men bærer præg af at have en del år bag sig. Sengene er utrolige hårde, måske standard i Portugal. Områdets faciliteter var super. Pool, tennis padle - vi brugte det hele:-) Vores ophold var med halvpension. Overordnet set er det i gen grund til at beklage sig. Maden fejler absolut intet, men udvalget er til den begrænsede side. Når det er sagt må man bestille fra deres menu kort, hvis dagens menu ikke findes interessant - og det et top service.

Casa da Sina is a truly exceptional place to stay. The property is unique in style and the grounds are extensive and beautiful. We loved the pool, the myriad places to explore and relax within the garden, and the incredibly well-equipped and designed kitchen. The owner Paulo gave warm communication and super helpful tips, and everyone who tended to the Casa was friendly, professional and very keen not to disturb our stay in any way. The stunning sunrises and sunsets were the icing on the cake! The location is fantastic - close enough to beaches, towns, shops - but secluded enough to allow you to feel totally away from any hustle and bustle. We will miss this slice of paradise and hope to return very soon!

Quelle propriété incroyable ! Si vous recherchez un petit coin de paradis au calme, isolé sans être trop éloigné des magasins et activités/plages, n'hésitez plus. La vue est splendide. La maison est équipée de tout le nécessaire et plus encore (niveau cuisine, ustensiles, électroménager,...). La piscine est très agréable, et les innombrables chemins sinueux du domaine emmenant chacun vers différents endroits aménagés en extérieur (ou sous un dôme pour le billard) sont magnifiques a parcourir. La communication avec l'hôte (très aimable) est on ne peut plus simple, les réponses aux éventuelles questions sont données dans des délais très courts. De très bonnes recommandations également pour ce qui est des restaurants. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

We have just returned from a week stay and had a wonderful time. The villa is an amazing and we feel very lucky to have stayed here for the week. The villa is stunning, well equipped, set in fantastic grounds and located in a very quiet location. Paulo was a fantastic host too - helping us with all our questions and suggesting great local restaurants and beaches too. An amazing villa, great hosts, and a week to remember!

Good experience overall, nice touch by Monte Rei to notice my birthday based on my passport ( Thank you ). The pool side dinning, Veranda, was very good and we ate there twice.

Fabulous location, lovely staff, gorgeous villas and pool. Very quiet spot and not too full of tourists, so we felt very pampered. Food was delicious, without exception, both at the breakfast and at the restaurants.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Monte Rei - die Villa war vorbildlich sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich vorstellen kann. Jeden Tag kam ein Reinigungsservice, der schnell und diskret agierte. Auch der Frühstücksservice mit frischem Gebäck und Orangensaft war eine unerwartete Annehmlichkeit. Jeder vom Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Anlage Monte Rei ist absolut gepflegt - man kann sich dort nur wohlfühlen.

It’s character, charm, peacefulness. Excellent staff, good facilities. Room was fresh clean and stylish opening out onto a tiled/ lawned balcony area with plunge pool which made it feel intimate

The hotel is beautiful. It is thoughtfully designed, with modern amenities and also reminds you of its history. It made for a luxurious stay without ever feeling stuffy, which we really appreciated with two young boys. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the food is delicious. Our room with the “children’s bedroom/playroom” on the mezzanine and the private pool on our patio was just amazing. The baby could be inside napping and the rest of us enjoyed the beautiful weather. We’ve recommended it to everyone since we got home!

The staff are attentive, friendly, very good at English, and will go out of their way to provide anything you ask for. The breakfast was amazing each day, and the rooftop patio was the most wonderful space to have a glass of wine and unwind in the evenings. The decor is simply beautiful. A lot of attention went into each detail, and it shows! We loved the patio on our room as well. The loungers provided were quite comfortable and the plunge pool was a good size (although very cold...it is not heated!).

Beautiful small boutique hotel. Beautifully restored and decorated. Stayed in one of the rooms that open on to small garden with plunge pool. Felt like our own private place! Perfect location for centre of Tavira. Staff were exceptional and make this hotel the wonderful place that it is. Thank you to everyone who looked after us. We will definitely be returning x

We just LOVED everything! The place, the family and owners, the animals, the Croquet team players, the farm, the swimming pool, the meals, etc, etc, etc But the thing we liked the most was the concept of the Centre. The reason why was created, to whom was created, how it is managed and the happiness that brings to those who have the opportunity to stay @ the Centre. It over passed my expectations by far. You followed your dreams allowing others to have the opportunity to follow theirs as well. That is a wonderful mission! You are such a lovely family THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVICE AND THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. ❤️. You may be sure we will come back over and over again.

We chose to stay here due to the proximity to a wedding we attended. We were blown away by the site, its mission and the wonderful staff, not to mention the small zoo with a small collection of very healthy and happy animals which you can tour with the staff. The site is set up to cater to families with children with special needs but regularly takes bookings from anyone. There is also a swimming pool, ample breakfast and various entertainments for families including table tennis and table football. We loved it here and will be recommending a stay to several families we know.

We stayed here to be closed to Faro airport on leaving Portugal and really enjoyed out stay, we would happily recommend this guest house especially to families with young children. The air conditioner in our room was effective and pleasingly quiet, bug mesh on the window, fully accessible showers and a kettle in the room. The small pool is warmed and perfect for relaxing in, kids will love this place. Lots of walks through the lovely grounds looking at plants and many exotic animals. There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere, very relaxing.

Everything! The house is amazing… the whole house has lock down shutters. The pool is great and the driveway is so long with private gates. Great place to relax. There’s a local supermarket 5 min drive. You’ll need a hire car. You won’t be disappointed!

The size and space of the property. The pool was excellent and there were no close neighbours. The different dining area options, internal and external. The peacefulness of the location and the villa itself. The security and privacy afforded to the location.

The pool ! Although all the property was perfect, the pool was the deciding factor. It's a clean good sized pool with an outside shower. The villa overall was spacious ( especially for the 2 of us! ) and all rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and again large. Outside all 4 sides had seating opportunities to either avoid or find the sun. The locality is made up of villa type properties so felt safe and peaceful. Parking is on the property safely. We have a small car and it was a bit of a tight fit. Parking elsewhere not a problem at all and loading/unloading can still be done outside the property safely. It's not a busy through road. It's a comfortable 20/25 minute walk into the town for restaurants. Not a brilliant walk but ok, well lit etc The boss man is friendly and approachable and helps with any issues. We had none. Remember he needs a 200 euro deposit. He collects on arrival and gives it back on checkout no probs. Thoroughly recommend. Give our regards to Trump the floating thermometer Donald duck.

The villa is beautiful, clean and very well equipped for 8 people. The pool area is spacious with umbrellas and sunbeds, it has a lovely upper patio with comfortable soft chairs to relax on. There is another area with seating and a barbecue. Location for us was perfect as it felt safe and quiet but only a 15/20 minute walk to Tavira which is beautiful with lots of places to eat, shops and access to the ferry boat to the beach. The friendly owner met us on arrival to show us around in person and let us know that if we needed anything we could contact him directly. We would highly recommend the villa and would love to return!

The location was very peaceful. A short distance from Tavira. The villa is immaculate with a good size, clean pool, well-kept patio, garden, and BBQ area. Spacious outdoor area, complete with sun loungers and shades. The kitchen is very well equipped for preparing meals and entertaining. The living and dining rooms are spacious and cool. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of hanging and storage space. On arrival, we were met by our excellent host, who was attentive and responded quickly to any messages. The villa was very clean and welcoming. Parking space is on site. We enjoyed our time at Villa Balsa and recommend staying here.

Beautiful villa with everything you need. Great hosts, sent us restaurant recommendations. Shops and bakery an easy 15 minute walk away, as was the walk to restaurants and the ferry for the beach. At the Villa itself lovely clean large pool, plenty of loungers and sun umbrellas, BBQ, multiple places to eat around the terrace and inside. Good air con in all bedrooms and living room. We came with a baby and they provided high chair and baby cot. All brilliant, would come again in a heartbeat

Property was spacious and clean. A quiet area close to local mini mart and shopping plaza. Few minutes drive or 20 minutes walk into town. Pool area is great, plenty of sun loungers and outdoor shower to cool off.

The hotel was exactly as it appeared in the advertising and didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was beautifully appointed and clean. The restaurant, whilst quite expensive, was open for long hours allowing lazy breakfasts and relaxed meals, especially when we arrived late at 10 o'clock at night.There was never a problem with availability of sunbeds at the pool as the hotel has a small number of rooms, and the pool was a lovely peaceful relaxing place to be with the pool bar close to hand and beautifully set out amongst the pine trees. Our only 'complaint' was the lack of amenities in the kitchenette....it has the bare essentials. A kettle and toaster would have been good additions. We will definitely return the next time we need to recharge the batteries.

I have to say this was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were absolutely second to none! nothing was too much trouble for them. Great touches like sweets for the kids and fruit in the room, the free wi-fi, and the fantastic bean bags by the pool. We were there is peak season and not once could we not get sat by the pool....which is great considering there was only 20 or so loungers and bean bags. The hotel had a real personal feel, the manager came round to talk to the guests and make sure everything was to your liking, and the staff seemed to speak every language! One girl spoke 8 languages fluently!! Overall I cannot recommend this hotel higher. We stayed in the garden view suite, 2 adults and 2 kids....the view was lovely (although I would suggest 1st floor and not ground due to the trees below, might be a little shaded!) Not that it bothered me as we were on the first floor and the view was a treat! The room was very well equipped too. The kitchenette had everything from cork screw to napkins! Will definately go back. The beach was a 7 minute walk, and a couple of nice restaraunts within walking distance although the deck bar at the hotel was great too! We had a car so travelled around and saw the local area.....20 minutes and you are at the ferry across to Spain for ice creams too!

We stayed here in mid June, and really enjoyed the time: the style and comfort of Praia Verde Boutique Hotel mark it out as special for us. Our suite on the 1st Floor gave us space and comfort, and lovely views of the pine forest and ocean from the balcony. The hotel interior has a stylish modern reception area, a very good restaurant (though after a few days we ran out of choices, but the wines were excellent!)and a lounge/terrace. The gardens, pool area and bar near the pool are very pleasant to relax in. The staff were always very friendly and helpful to us. One thing to note: the beach (absolutely stunning!)is about 700 metres away on foot, and there are no shops nearby: unless you hire a car or bikes it is not easy to get away for trips to sites elsewhere.

Hotel Praia Verde is the perfect place to relax. From the moment we arrived we were looked after with a welcome drink, and short tour. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of hot and cold foods including home made breads, butter, jams and juices. Restaurant and pool bar served great food, wine and cocktails. Lovely swimming pool area. Short walk to beautiful nearby beach. Well equipped gym. Our suite had good facilities and was very clean. All the staff at the hotel worked incredibly hard, were really friendly and helpful and made it a really welcoming place to stay.

Very pleasurable stay with a lovely pool, pool bar and access to the beach. Please note that the walk to the beach is more than 500 yards and so with little ones this may prove too much. Although it caters for children, at meal times it does not provide children's cutlery and rather relies on young ones being able to use adult cutlery. A small point but one to bear in mind. The room was spacious and well furnished.

This is a wonderful hotel. It's so clean and the staff are amazing. The breakfast is good if a little repetitive. We could walk to restaurants,bars and the supermarket in a few minutes. We enjoyed the plunge pool and roof terrace. The beds were comfortable and we made good use of the balcony

The location was very near to every thing. 5/10 minutes to the centre and lots of local bars and a supermarket next door. It was small and friendly and the rooms were lovely with comfortable beds. The rooftop plunge pool was a bonus in the heat

Majestic location and property - both beautiful and tranquil. We felt totally at peace during our time there. The best 2 days of our 4 weeks in Spain and Portugal. Staff went above and beyond what is considered the norm. The lady in reception was an absolute angel, the chef who prepared our scrumptious dinner is an absolute culinary legend, the young lady who was our host for dinner was do friendly and helpful and the cleaning, gardening and maintenance staff all very hardworking and diligent. Whilst you are here, definitely enjoy the facilities restaurant, bar, pool ,spa and outdoor gym bug also drive you Tsbies and enjoy the scenic walks along the river and the scrumptious food. Then download AllTrails and go hiking through the hills around the hotel. You will love it. We are definitely coming back (from Australia!)

The hotel was in the quiet green hills. Upon arrival we heard that there would be a big group of teenage kids and for that reason we got an upgrade to the deluxe room, which was huge. We were not bothered by the kids at all and we enjoyed everything: the pool, the sauna, the restaurant. Great quality food, we decided to have several dinners there, the personnel was very friendly and available. Would recommend!

My husband and I loved our getaway for a night. The room was on the first floor overlooking the pool and countryside. The restaurant food was lovely and such high quality. The breakfast had so many choices too. There was water, coffee and tea in the room with a balcony to enjoy the sunset. There was little walks around the place, animals, swing and hammock to enjoy.

Beautiful place to stay for some rest, Gardens and surrounding areas well maintained, lots of space for peace, lovely smell of rosemary through. Great size rooms with balcony or terrace. Lovely pool to cool down in. Pedro at the bar was friendly and made great cocktails. Had dinner in the restaurant was beautifully cooked - even got given a birthday cake with a candle for dessert.

Pousada Convento is in a fantastic location very close to the castle, with a short walk up/downhill to the city centre. We loved the serenity of the courtyard on arrival where we sat and enjoyed a drink. The variety of breakfast options, the quietness of the pool area and, of course, the courtesy and attentiveness of staff. The large open spaces and decor around the hotel gave it such a regal feeling. We spent 9 nights here for my 60th birthday and we couldn't have picked a better stay for this occasion. It was made so much more special when I was greeted with cake and champagne left in our room. I booked a facial and massage which was worth every penny. We also ate a superb meal at the hotel restaurant one evening. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for making our stay so special.

The best place we stayed in the Algarve, it exceeded our expectations by far. One of the calmest and most easy going hotel experiences we have ever had. Even though fully booked, there was so much space and calmness to find in the building. Fantastic location to walk to all main attractions of Tavira. The pool area was an oasis in the middle of the town. Fantastic breakfast, with fresh regional products and specialties. Very good and friendly service from the staff and the most amazing setting to eat inside the courtyard of the old monastery.

The whole building is beautiful and the central courtyard stunning. We stayed in room 1 which had a Juliet balcony overlooking the park and chuch at the front of the building. Pool area is lovely and relaxing. Location is excellent for a short walk into the town centre, whilst remaining quiet. Staff went out of their way to cater for us and really made the whole stay wonderfully enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent offering, fresh juices, a huge selection of cold meats and cheeses with the choice of freshly prepared omelettes etc.

A beautiful hotel. A little oasis in Tavira - sitting in the beautiful shady central open area or relaxing by the pool was pure escapism. Perfect in every way! This is what 5 starts looks like! My husband and I were traveling for our wedding anniversary, and our Secret Suite was perfect--the private pool, the patio, the concierge, the breakfasts...it was all heaven. The hospitality is warm and down-to-earth. The food at the restaurant is amazing--including amazing vegetarian dishes. The resort includes different activities like yoga, cocktail-making classes, and wine tasting. For an unforgettable experience in the Algarve, don't hesitate--book this now!

A beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff were very helpful and attentive although the Maid Service was erratic. I had to ask for pool towels as they weren't replaced for two days and on one day the room still had not been cleaned at 4pm. However when I brought the matter to the attention of the Reception staff it was rectified immediately. I thought the pool bar food rather expensive and did not eat at the Hotel's Gourmet Restaurant as I thought the prices were excessive. We were never sure when the Pool bar would be closing as on some occasions it was open until late and on other occasions closed at 7pm.

Turning off the road and into the Vila Monte entrance the view and lushness was amazing. The road up to the reception has a practice golf course either side and gives a great first impression. The resort is spacious but with a small number of superior rooms in 'villas' or suites spaced well apart so often felt like our own personal villa. The normal sized rooms are in 2 storey villas but again not crowded. We had a 'superior' room in a single floor villa (5 rooms total) and a good pool directly outside. There are 3 pools in the resort available to everyone. We went in the 'low' season but even when busy I doubt it would seem crowded. You really do need a car as the restaurant is both expensive €130 for 2 with wine) and limited menu choices - but it is absolutely excellent Michelin star quality so we ate there twice and drove to Montcarapacho, Fuseta or Olhou on other days. The staff were all really friendly and helpful - another couple decided to stay an extra 3 days and Carla (Manageress) took care of the flights, car hire and room changes for them.

Exceeded our expectations - friendly and welcoming service, complimentary champagne reception at the pool bar, spacious & comfortable air-conditioned villa-style accomodation. 4 different pools throughout the resort with plenty of shade & seating. Romantic dining by candlelight in the Orangerie terrace, with superb locally produced food, overlooking the countryside with views of mountains & sea. Fantastic place to get away from it all, especially for couples, about 30 mins drive from Faro airport. Worth every cent - would love to visit again!

We ate twice in the evenings and the food was delicious. Breakfast on the terrace is delightful. Thank you for the shuttle service and the boat tickets - really useful! This remodelled 70s style hotel has plenty to recommend. Small enough for personal attentive service with just 70 rooms but adequate manicured grounds well kept pool with plenty of sunbeds and loungers. Just so much better than usual 250 room impersonal large hotels. Bedrooms are large, have effective air conditioning, boutique lighting and fittings, stocked minibar and Nespresso and pods. Super breakfast buffet and quality dinner menu at the adjoining Orangea bistro. Staff and service were excellent. Location is just off the N125 in a quiet spot so a long walk to old town Tavira but hotel offers free shuttle service several times a day to Tavira and to Cabanas beach and Taxis are cheap. We drove part way in to town parked up and walked which suited just fine. We will definitely return

Next door is a very nice restaurant with traditional Portuguese food.

As a couple we stayed at this hotel on 1st May 2024. The reason we chose, was because it would accept pets, and we have 2 dogs. The hotel is happy to accept them, as long as they are well behaved. In addition you need to be aware that you are liable for any damage. This was not a problem for us as our dogs are well trained and responsive. I would imagine humans cause a lot more damage! We paid about €80 for our room, which was clean, tidy and spacious. There was a fridge, coffee machine, and good size private bathroom in our room. There is a good size swimming pool as well! We were also delighted that the price included breakfast, which was very good and covered everyone's needs (ie veggie, etc). Its about 2KM into town and there is a busy road outside with nor pavement. However, we ordered a pet friendly UBER taxi each way, which cost us €4 each time, and made life very easy. This hotel is well worth a try, especially if you wish to bring your dog/cat etc, and we will certainly use it again, when we next visit Tavira. Finally, we received great service from Raul, behind reception. He was kind, courteous and a credit to the hotel

Lovely friendy hotel in a great location. Easy to find as on side of main road but only a 10 min walk down into Tavira. Room had balcony which was a bonus, view of busy road but quiet at night so no problems sleeping. Nice modern room & bathroom. Tv & coffee machine in room. Lots to choose from for breakfast including yummy cakes. Option to eat indoors or on covered veranda. All staff really friendly & helpful. Sadly the weather was rubbish while we were there so didn't avail of the pool facilities which looked good with seated areas to relax & enjoy the sun. Highly recommend, don't let the busy road put you off.

Very well designed, with a small pool that twisted and turned into a jacuzzi, and then, to waterfall jets..gorgeous! Either end of this pool are a great sauna and steam room, both very modern and set to high temps which we love! The rooftop bar is to die for..great views and lovely music late into the night. Breakfast was first class! So much to chose from and all high quality.

Our 3rd stay here. Great hotel for an out of season break. By the end of March we were able to swim in the outdoor pool although the water was very cold! Made good use of the indoor spa pool, sauna and steam room - swim caps now compulsory in spa pool. Fabulous breakfast in conservatory with music from gentleman on grand piano. Amazing selection of breakfast food. Room spacious with good sized balcony. Room 135 at road side of building but still lovely views across the city and wonderful sunsets. Loads of storage space in room. Location is perfect for walking down into beautiful Tavira and using the short ferry ride out to Tavira beach- vast, sandy and very quiet in March. Easy to access the train from Porta Nova station and explore the other beach resorts and towns along this gorgeous coastline. Great walking routes along coastline too. Will definitely be returning.

Definitely no need for a rush to to get a seat at the pool which is nice. Food service was a little slow at the bar/poolside Overall a fantastic stay but we did have an incident one night where a woman was really banging down our door at 3am. She was not only banging but trying to get into the room. She was a naked when I answered and very confused. I did get a bit of a shock at that the moment and was disturbed. I thought we should have been offered a refund of one’s nights stay. But nothing was offered Overall a fantastic stay but this incident did leave a denting impact with little or nothing done about it

We loved our 3 night stay in AP Maria Nova Lounge. We had a pool view room which had all the amenities and space you could need and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The choice and quality of food at breakfast were excellent and the gentleman playing the piano was a lovely addition. Whilst we didn't have an evening meal at the hotel because there was so much choice in town, which was a stone's throw away, we did go up to the bar on occassion which had wonderful views across Tavira and was reasonably priced. Finally the swimming pools and spa facilities were the icing on the cake! Yes there are some building works going on in the area but thay didn't stop our enjoyment and we would definitely go back.

The buffet breakfast had a vast variety of choices and everything was delicious! There was a piano playing and bubbly available. The outdoor pools were large and had plenty of comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas. The staff were very personable and professional. It was great to have a balcony with a table and chairs. There was a fridge and a safe in our room. Coffee and tea and a kettle. Large nicely decorated room. The indoor pool was very relaxing and there was a sauna and a steam room. Der Empfang im Hotel war freundlich und der Checkin verlief relativ unkompliziert und schnell. Der Gesamteindruck des Hotels war gut und gepflegt. Klar, es gibt Hotels die weitaus moderner aufgestellt/eingerichtet sind. Für uns war es leicht über unseren Erwartungen. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wurde auch täglich sauber gehalten. Der Außen-/Poolbereich wurde auch täglich gereinigt und aufgeräumt und das Wasser im Pool war sauber. Das Publikum war eher im oberen Altersdurchschnitt, gefolgt von Familien mit Kindern - für uns passend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend und qualitativ gut, jedoch ohne abwechselnde Speisen. An der Snackbar kann man Mittags eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen zu sich nehmen - Preise vergleichbar wie in D. Das Abendessen wurde nicht probiert, da wir auswärts gespeist haben - es gibt einige Möglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr gut hat uns der Weg zum Strand gefallen, welcher sicher über Holzstege verlief und gepflegt war. Der Strand an sich ist super und sauber. Es können Sonnenschirme-/liegen angemietet werden - 18€/Tag. Wir haben uns 20m weiter direkt an den Sandstrand gelegt - hier sollte ein Schattenspender mitgebracht werden da keine Bäume/Palmen/etc. existieren. Uns als Familie hat der Aufenthalt gut gefallen.

The only hotel in this area, established for many years. Access onto the beach from the grounds within a short walk. Considering the hotel was full it did not feel over-crowded (fairly busy at meal times). Cleanliness of the pool & surrounding area was second to none. Buffet style evening meals (or a la carte option), and breakfast, did not disappoint in variety, selection or freshness. Old style Portugal, unspoiled local area (but within a taxi drive, or long walk, you can access other towns which are perhaps ‘more vibrant’, but that wasn’t our choice, we loved the simplicity of where this hotel is, the fresh fish and beautiful sandy beach. All rooms have a sea view (and you see the fishermen out each night catching their wares). Fabulous.

The Eurotel is one of those rare locations where you find yourself coming back for a second or even third time. It's well situated within a very short walking distance to town center where you can find a variety of restaurants. The facility has a great pool area with food and bar service available and if you prefer there's a lovely beach just a few minutes away. You won't be disappointed in the facilities and the staff are attentive and helpful whenever you need them. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun.

The hotel is ideally located, the boats to Ilha de Tavira beach leave very close from the hotel and it is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops.

Location - Hotel is ideally located in the centre + close to the beach ferry terminus (ferries are ca$h only) Breakfast - Excellent breakfast options + although the room is very busy it was very well organized each morning. - Hot omelet / egg counter was excellent. Room - Bedroom AC was required and worked well. - Roomed cleaned daily. - Good fridge in place. Poolside - Pool area well was maintained and sunbeds plentiful. - Pool side bar food was very good quality + decent prices. - There was poolside entertainment some days + the staff seemed very enthusiastic.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quiet room was located such that we had direct access to the pool. The room was large though the closet could have more space for clothes. The pool itself was large enough and nice. There was also a smaller pool for children which is appreciated. We also enjoyed the live music session, specially the local folk dance group!

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Well located for the centre of Tavira and ferries to the beach. Breakfast excellent and poolside snacks good value for money. Loved the entertainment team and the aqua aerobics in the pool.

The location was great and we had an upgraded room for no charge. We asked for a kettle, and within a few minutes, the staff sent one up with some fruit. The balcony was great as it overlooked the pool. Mostly British people were here and they were not friendly.... we are Canadians. The breakfast, as everyone has reported, was great...Staff were great, and no dislikes at all. Not the least expensive place to stay, but well worth the experience, as we stayed for 5 nights.

On the main gate you can find a supermarket and next to it a restaurant with drinks and food. We didn't eat so I can't say anything about that.

If what you are looking for is an absolute break from anything and everything stressed and hurried Colina Verde is the place for you. Sufficiently separated from cities to be free from contemporary clutter yet close enough to Faro airport (Half an hour by car) and Olhao (15 to 20 mins) to provide convenience yet peace and quiet. Photographs on line are faithful to experience.All rooms are well air conditioned. Kitchens provide pretty much all one might need. The pool is a dream and the staff are an absolute delight. I imagine the Portuguese might like an attempt made at their language but that said ALL reception staff, speak excellent English and take customer care to unparalled levels. You won't find English speaking T.V. channels BUT why would one want to be suck inside a room when the grounds,pool and environment are simply so marvellous?

What a lovely hotel. Reception area is spacious, check in was efficient. We were shown to our room with a pool view. Room was spacious and had a walk in shower as requested. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of closet space, and a small balcony, which was lovely to sit out in the evenings. Pool area had plenty of loungers, comfortable, and towels were provided from the spa area on request. There was no Iron, but if you wanted something pressed, this can be arranged for a nominal fee, and cloths were returned straight to our room. There was pool side entertainment, which was inclusive without being too pushy if you were not in the mood to participate. Pool side snack bar was comfortable, if you wanted a little shade , drink , or a sandwich. Bar in evenings had occasion entertainment, and staff were friendly, but service can be slow as they were sometimes so busy. Location of hotel itself is excellent, as you are only a few minutes away from Riverside and it has some lovely shops, restaurants, and the ferry to the beach. Would definitely recommend for couples or groups, not so much for families, as there is not a lot of activities for younger adults in Tavira generally, and is a quieter type of town.

We arrived quite early having had an early morning flight from the UK. We managed to leave our luggage behind the front desk, and the staff promised to call once our room was ready, which he duly did. The hotel lobby is quite large and has a number of soft seats, and door opening out to a central courtyard where the outdoor pool is. The room was fairly large with a small balcony overlooking the front of the hotel which caught the sun in the evening. The Bathroom was also a good size. Everything was clean, though I did find the beds a little too hard. There are spa facilities at the hotel, but we didn't know you have to book, presumably this is to limit numbers at any one time. Not a problem once we knew. You will also need a swimcap for the pool, which we also didn't know, so had to buy one from the spa. There is an outdoor pool too, but this was too cold for me in March. The breakfasts we found could vary dependent upon which time you arrived. There were a number of largish groups (golf etc.) who tended to eat between 07:30 and 08:30, during this time it was a bit chaotic, as staff couldn't replenish the buffet items or clear tables quickly enough. However, later in the morning things were a bit quieter and more comfortable. There is the usual hot and cold items, plus eggs to order. I was impressed with the egg lady who was doing a great job, multitasking eggs, omlettes and pancakes. The hot food too was plentiful, but I thought the selection of cold cuts was poor

Arrived earlier than the 2pm check in and the lovely receptionist checked me in and said my room was ready which was a lovely surprise.... until I got to my allocated room which overlooked the road and filling station.... not the pool view as stated in the room description on Hotels.com. Went back to reception to explain the mix up and was informed I need to pay a supplement €42 for the pool view room! Not very happy as I had already booked and paid for this so be aware of hidden charges!! Rooms are adequate but very poor lighting and can hear everything from the rooms next door which isn’t very pleasant! Breakfast was good, plenty of choice but would’ve expected to have a choice of coffee. Staff in the restaurant seemed fed up and didn’t interact with guests. Spa was lovely, pool a good temperature and plenty of loungers and towels Location is great, easy and safe to walk everywhere. Wasn’t any entertainment during my stay not even music in the bar so be prepared to find your own.

Easy and swift check in, friendly and helpful staff who got us kettle for our room, explained how to get pool towels from the spa and ordered a taxi for us leaving. Room was ideal with a view of the pool and salt flats. Lighting in the room could be brighter and a dressing table to apply makeup and fix hair would make it perfect as it’s difficult to do in a steamy bathroom after a shower, but that’s only a small niggle. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and good service from the friendly staff. As others have said, the coffee is pretty tasteless but there’s plenty juice and teas. The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy the delights of Tavira. We would definitely stay here again and use more of the facilities the next time.

This is a really Good Hotel in Tavira. Clean interior design inspired by the Moorish heritage. Located close to the market and 5 min walk to center and the ferry to the beach island. The staff is very friendly and service minded and the restaurant offers excellent food. The spa area is lovely with a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. You can also book treatments. The outdoor pool is not heated but lovely in summertime. This hotel is very spacious so even if there are big groups of guests, you never experience a crowded feeling. This was our second visit to Hotel Albacore and it did not disappoint. The hotel is located just outside Tavira, within the Rio Formosa natural park and is ideally suited to families and couples that want more than a busy'package' holiday. Although there is plenty of leasure activity close by the hotel, the onus is on the visitor to choose what they want to do. Either go into Tavira for the relaxed nightlife, sightseeing or visit either of the two locations on the magnificent beaches nearby, which are reached by ferry boat, from the jetty adjacent to the hotel. If the pool is your thing, then you would be hard pushed to beat the very large pool and its beautifully tended gardens which never gets crowded. You might be asked to join in the daily pool excercise, but are never pressured by the friendly staff. There is also a diving school as well as kayak, sailboat and cycle hire on site. We did not sample the restaurant for meals apart from breakfast, which was always of a high standard. Rooms are very comfortable, with the majority having a small sun terrace, are en-suite and are cleaned daily. The only thing I feel the hotel misses is a small shop, which the sister hotel in Tavira has, where you can buy papers, souveneirs etc. We can't wait to go back in May of next year!

Our family love this hotel. My brother got married here and as a family we come back at the same time every year because we always have such a lovely time. The location is beautiful, the staff are great and the entertainment is incredible. The entertainment team in particular really make our trip every year. Shout out to Tanya, Mariana, Claudia, Rodrigo and everyone else on the team. The effort that goes into the evening shows is insane and we always have such a laugh taking part in the competitions to win a cocktail. I have a 20 month old toddler and the outdoor toddler pool was great for him as well as the little soft play and colouring in tables inside the school. There's a play park and mini football pitch as well for kids to play in. They also have a lovely in door swimming pool, sauna,steam room and jacuzzi which is free to use throughout the day, and massages. A boat goes directly from the hotel's private pier to Tavira Island regularly through the day which has a lovely sandy beach and lots of fish restaurants If you want a chilled, hassle free and fun holiday this is definitely the place to go. We will be back!

We loved this place. We took our 2 year old and there was plenty to do. The pool is great, plus there's a school for some activities. The buffet dinner was only average, but breakfast was really good. All staff poolside and dealing with kids were amazing. Boat trip to Tavira Island was good, we went every other day. There's also a beach just by the hotel too. Tavira the city is wonderful on an evening too.

Very quiet and comfortable, buffet food and snacks at pool good and we didn’t feel overpriced as some of reviews indicated. Water taxi to beach great and free shuttle bus from hotel to Tavira centre but unfortunately doesn’t run Sun to Tues which was over half our stay there. Neither operate after 6pm either but only 6 euros from Tavira. Long walk to centre approx 50mins . Lots of sun beds, free towels etc ...definitely recommend at this time of year.

We stayed here for 9 nights. We were in Lot 1 on the top floor. The apartments were spotless and cleaned everyday which is probably a little too much as we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The only fault I have about the apartments are the beds as they were extremely uncomfortable. Our apartment lacked a toaster which would have been ideal. The pool area is lovely and the gardens are all well maintained. We eat in the Restaurant which was lovely and great value. We also had toasted sandwiches from the bar which were great value. Service in the Bar is very good. The Town is a 20 minute walk, we rented a car and in hindsight we probably didn't need one as we were willing & happy to walk. I would recommend Reillys Bar in Tavira for some drinks, its a great bar with a bit of atmosphere. Also the Plaza across the road has a big food court that has a great selection of food choices. Its on the way to the town as well so a Nice stop off for a quick bite to eat! We will definately be back but for a shorter time!

Our apartment lot 7 room2 was ground floor with gorgeous garden patio, the environment was gorgeous. The apartment was kept spotlessly clean with daily cleaning. The beds were comfortable and we sleep soundly every night, an important holiday factor.we used the pool area which was alison vela and tidy. The on site bar was ok but we preferred the atmosphere back on our patio. The minimart was really useful. We didn't use the restaurant as the choice in town was vast. Overall the site was perfect but we didn't envy the walk into town too much. Not because of the length but the busy toad you needed to cross and the unlit bridge, one we hot used to it was ok but not ideal. We could have got a taxi but found the walk kept the extra indulgent pounds at bay! If we could have moved this the other side of the busy road it would have been ideal.

we loveTavira and this place is ideal as a base to enjoy the area. The accommodation is clean, well equipped and the pool area is excellent. we stayed in block 10 and the staff were all very helpful. Two iissues only, one minor the other potentially more problematic. It would be useful to have some instructions in the apartment on how to use equipment in the apartment. more concerning was that when we arrived around 10.30pm there was no one around, the reception was closed and there had been no instructions on what to do if arriving late. eventually after asking in a local restaurant we found a security guard who had our keys! However it didn't spoil a great week its about 20 minute walk into town which we were happy to do ad got a taxi back if we were out late. I'm sure we'll be back !

Well laid out resort with 4 swimming pools, restaurant and cocktail bar. A mini market at the beginning of the resort, well stocked with all your holidays needs.The appartment was very comfortable, very clean and sheets and towels changed on a regular basis. The resort is about a 20 minute flat walk into Tavira town, but not a very pleasant walk as there is a pavement only part of the way and some rough ground. There are local buses but don't run very regularly. We used taxis most of the time which reception very obligingly booked for us. The cost of the taxi was just over 5euros.

Great shower, clean rooms and efficient check in. Loads of towels including ones for the pool! Great pool for swimming. Not too busy. Best breakfast we had while in Portugal and stayed at 6 different places provided fresh fruit, variety of meats and cheese, many different pastries and FRESH orange juice, yoghurts and more that I’ve forgotten. Beautiful grounds with a vegetable patch and plenty of grassy secluded spots to rest in away from the pool.

We were greeted warmly by the property staff, given a tour of the property to point out all the amenities and where to find everything. We loved the scenery, pool, ability to order drinks from the bar as we relaxed on the veranda next to the pool, the comfort and location of the room, and the amazingly delicious breakfast spread.

Quiet location in the country. Clean and relaxing swimming pool. Excellent breakfast in front of the pool.

Our accommodation was perfect for us, we chose the room with a modern kitchen, huge bed, with rustic wall features. There was even a log burner (which would be great to try in winter). I appreciated the natural body soap and shampoo provided in the bathroom and the bathrobes and slippers were perfect for making our way to the spa or pools! We used the communal living room area most evenings, enjoying playing pool and checking out the art and books on show. We met Susana and Alexandre in the evening who were both so welcoming and lovely to chat to. Both approachable, but equally respectful of our privacy and space to just enjoy the beautiful home they’ve created and relax on our holiday. The breakfasts were truly delicious and lovely to sample local produce, cheeses, honey, figs from the garden. I am coeliac, and Susana was able to provide gluten free bread and cakes just for me- which was very kind and much appreciated. We felt like we had the place to ourselves most evening and enjoyed the quiet peaceful location of the property. It was a much needed restful escape, in a beautifully designed property. Would love to come back one day!

A design led rural tourist experience, with eco, sustainable and spa credentials. Our room was spacious with an ensuite wet room and was finished to a high standard (quality doors / wet room / patio door sets). The bed was very large and comfortable. The room opened onto a private patio, All rooms are named after poets or artists. The property is an agro-tourismo venture and located about 5-6 miles outside Castro Marim in rolling countryside in a small hamlet called Rio Seco, so a car is essential to stay at Monte do Malhao. Breakfasts were fresh, local and portuguese and to a high standard, and taken in a very large family /dining / living room that overlooks the external pool and the setting. The Indoor pool was excellent and there is also a sauna / small gym and an outdoor pool. The accommodation doubles as an art gallery displaying local artists work and provides a cerebral space in which to relax. It is also located within a site that you are free to explore, including a watchtower on the highest point which gives great panoramic views. The hosts were engaging and provided excellent reccommendations on where to eat and what to see in the area (all of which proved excellent)

I liked that it’s away from from any noice and big city. you can totally relax and recharge here. it’s also a good base for your day trips to beaches caves or whatever your destination is. it’s very eco friendly and chic. it has a lovely outdoor pool area and a very nice indoor pool/ spa with a sauna, steam room and small gym. the owners/ staff are beyond welcoming and nice and it felt like home away from home. we had one of the rooms with a kitchen and outdoor space highly recommend it. And as cat owners we had the pleasure of having the company of Princess the black and white cat every time we were in. she’s beyond friendly ,cuddly and very talkative. lol Made us miss our cats a bit less. The breakfast is great and fresh. No tv in the rooms but to be honest, we didn’t think about it once. there is one in the communal area if you need one but the pool table was way better entertainment. This place is truly a hidden gem.

It was a holiday in the country. Everything was provided for your enjoyment and entertainment such as indoor and outdoor pools, lounging areas, donkeys, lookout points, comfortable clean rooms, excellent breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and eager to talk and listen to you too.

Wonderful room, exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, beautiful garden and pool, quiet and serene location. Great breakfast buffet each morning. Host was fabulous with communication about my early arrival, I was welcomed by very friendly staff and made to feel at home instantly. I loved it so much I wanted to stay longer but it was fully booked (no surprise) I look forward to returning one day. Thankyou to all the staff and hosts 🙏

Everything about this boutique hotel was excellent!!! It was new, modern, well maintained and super clean. The pool wasn't big but it was great to cool off in.. There were also private outdoor sitting areas for each room The couple who owned and managed the property as well as their staff were so nice and helpful. They recommended a wonderful restaurant 5 minutes away.

Everything! As It is such a paradise, far from the mess but still easy (with a car) to go in the best places. Super easy check-in and check out. Big room with a little patio, well decorated, spotlessly clean and comfy bed and pillow! The swimming pool is small but very relaxing and clean.

Breakfast was great a selection of bread lots of fresh fruit, cheeses meats yogurt and little cakes. The view from our room was straight out onto the pool with our own little patio area. Staff were really accommodating when we asked for hot water to make drinks in our room and supplied a kettle.

From our first welcome when we arrived at Bea’s B&B, I knew we’d be in for a wonderful stay. We were too early for check-in, so Bea stored our luggage while we went a grabbed a bite to eat. Shortly after, she contacted me to let us know our room was ready. Bea’s place was super convenient, close to great restaurants, shops, and the ferry to Tavira Island. Our room was sparkling clean, the air con was quiet, and a number of small touches in our room and the B&B shows that Bea puts every effort into making your stay enjoyable. We opted for having breakfast and sitting in front of the window in the breakfast room each morning was such a lovely start to our day. Bea offered a great variety at breakfast which included homemade jam, locally grown fresh fruit, and customized coffees. Everything was fresh and delicious. A truly wonderful stay made all the better by Bea’s great hospitality.

Bea’s is very well situated in the center of Tavira, making it easy to get to any one of the great restaurants downtown as well as the ferry to the beach. The property is immaculately clean, and even though it’s on a main street, amazingly quiet. Bea was readily available, very friendly and happy to answer any and all of my questions. The shower was very good, the linens were crisp, and the mattress was really, really comfortable. There is a spot next door to get a coffee and/or breakfast and lunch. While I didn’t opt for the breakfast that Bea offered, I did get a peek and everything looked delicious. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe both at Bea’s and in the area. A wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for a base from which to explore Tavira.

Bea’s place is in a super ideal spot above a great cafe and the nearness of the river, city center, restaurants, and shopping. We were there for New Year’s celebration of which they put on a concert from 10:30 pm until midnight and then fireworks display from the second bridge over the river for maybe 20+ minutes. They resume music until 2 or 3 and it was a highlight of our 90 day trip to Spain and Portugal. Great small town with character and charm. Bea’s breakfast for eight euros was full of variety and well worth the time to converse with her. She speaks four languages. my wife was not feeling good getting over the flu and Bea brought to her room, hot water, lemon, and honey and a piece of toast. We had a little private nurse and that was special.

Bea’s Bed and Breakfast is cosy ,comfortable and friendly. The Breakfast has everything for any kind of taste but also includes very typical traditional Portuguese food. Bea is always ready to help and has great recommendations for activities, beaches, places to go and restaurants. The rooms are very cosy, comfortable and have a lovely and detailed decoration. It feels like being home. The B&B is located in the very center of Tavira right next to the beautiful river and parque. The boat to the beach is just a few minutes walk away. Everything is near by. Tavira is a wonderful typical and still traditional “Algarvia” town. If you are looking for a nice place with a great host you should stay here. It is family, dog and LGBTI friendly a place just for everyone who wants to enjoy a nice vacation.

Bea is a very gracious and helpful host. She is professional, calm, helpful. The room was a perfect size. To make up for there not being an outlet (for charging all those gadgets we seem to require now) by the beds, she has installed extension cords. The location, right near the water, is perfect. I could explore the north or south side, by crossing either of two nearby bridges. The walking mall between Bea's place and the water seemed often to have live music. There are many good restaurants nearby, and if you like artisanal ice cream, cheesecakes, or crafts, those stores and restaurants are nearby, too. Bea serves a wonderful breakfast, too. When I reserved, I opted out of the breakfast, but ended up adding it on.

Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the view down the river was absolutely stunning! Our room was spacious and had everything you’d need for a short stay. The shower was powerful, and although there was also a bath, we didn’t end up using it. Downstairs, there’s an honesty bar along with a pool table, books, and plenty of games to help yourself to. The hosts even provided thoughtful extras like sunscreen, toiletries, and a beach umbrella in case you’d forgotten anything. The pool area was delightful — plenty of loungers and outdoor space to relax, plus they provide both shower and pool towels, which was a great touch. The upstairs terrace was also lovely for an evening drink while taking in the view. Everything was spotless and well-kept. The location was perfect about a 20-minute walk into town and honestly even better than staying right in the centre, as you get the beautiful view from a hillside. Note: if you struggle to walk up and down hills this might not be the best place for you to stay as there are steep stairs to get into town. Our hosts were wonderful and gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat and visit, all of which were spot on. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

My stay at Tavira Terrace was amazing. From the moment I walked in ( and was served a welcome drink) to the moment I checked out I felt very much taken care of. The staff at this property are extremely pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to provide tips, restaurant recommendations and others points of interest. I really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning and being able to use the common spaces of the propety. There is a pool table on the lower level which guests can use free of charge, an honesty bar ( grab a drink and pay at time of checkout) books to read, an amazing pool with loungers and just a great place to hang out and relax. I will definitely be recommending Tavira Terrace to family and friends if they are ever visiting Tavira and I look forward to visiting again myself.

The view and pool were an additional bonus! We didn't realise how much we would appreciate the pool on this trip but it was a welcoming site after a busy morning with time to relax for a few hours in the afternoon! The staff were very accommodating helpful and friendly! We were located in a quiet area away from the town, but at the same time it was very convenient and access to the town was very easy with a 10-15 min walk down some steps.

Everything was perfect! Lovely and helpful hosts, wonderful views from the terrace, good sized swimming pool, easy walking distance to the centre. The whole place was furnished with love and care, there's even a pool table in the communal are.

Excellent guest house, with nice efficient staff, good pool area with quality beds and shades, bar with honesty box and games area, we stayed in room 7 a suite with private patio area, quality linen and towels in the room and pool towels available, perfect view of Tavira and out to sea, it’s 15 min walk to town , down 120 steps and then a gentle river walk as long as you don’t have mobility issues this is a perfect property in a nice residential area with parking

Above all else, the staff was the most welcoming. We were at the end of our two week road trip with our dogs and this stay was perfect. We were thinking about going straight home after our last hotel since it seemed like the dogs were not happy from being away from home for so long, but decided we didn't want that many hours in the car and we remembered Tavira as being low key and laid back. We found parking directly in front of the hotel and we were able to let ourselves into our room with easy instructions. The hotel is a small boutique hotel with limited rooms, but the rooms are very spacious as are the common areas. The staff let us unwind and we were given a small tour with directions. The staff really made us feel like we made the right decision by continuing on our trip. Simply the warmest people. This was January, so the fireplace was lit in the common area and it was lovely, warm and comfortable. Every evening the fireplace was being tended to as we arrived back to the hotel. The decor is very tasteful with tall ceilings and nice balconies overlooking a quiet street. Everything is walking distance so we did not need our car for the rest of the stay. I was very impressed with the breakfast. There was more offered than I was expecting and nothing felt rushed. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again on my next trip to Tavira.

What a little gem of a place to stay in Tavira! It is off an old narrow street in a well renovated building with lovely interior. We had a good sized room with a good large bed for the two of us on the lowest floor near the front door. The door is coded for entrance. A wide staircase immediate to the door takes you up to the main level where a large sitting room, bar, dining area, kitchen and outside area are immaculately clean and welcoming. It is an honesty bar and you can take almost any kind of drink you might want to mix, up the outer staircase to the roof terrace. Careful of the sun; there are umbrellas for shade. Philomena was most welcoming and helpful. She speaks several languages. Breakfast is wonderfully served by Joshi from Nepal and two young women. They also clean the rooms. There is easy walking everywhere of interest in Tavira. We took the ferry to the island for one day. Would suggest the Bossa Rio for dinner.

The warmest of welcomes from Filomena into a stunning property. The lounge is magnificent! My room was very clean. The sheets and towels smelt fresh and were soft. Nice strong shower. Little wash line in shower to dry clothes/swim gear, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was continental and really fresh and filling. Served with a smile and exceptional politeness from all of the team. The honesty bar was well stocked. The roof terrace was a good place to sit and chat to other guests. Really well located, a 5 minute walk to the main areas around the bridge. Filomena really is one in a million. Her kindness and care feels like a big hug. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She is an exceptional host. Highly recommend. I will certainly return. Thank you for a wonderful 4 days.

We loved everything about this guesthouse! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff were so kind, always smiling and willing to help in any way they could. Breakfast was outstanding - served to us (vs. a buffet) in the lovely patio area. (And there was always an extra croissant for later!) There's a beautiful rooftop deck with lounge chairs; ask for a glass of wine from the bar downstairs, and you're good to go. The parlor is absolutely gorgeous if you want to stay inside and relax. Our room was huge, and even included a lighted dressing table! The location was perfect - just a short walk into town, and a 10 minute walk to the bus station. If we come back to Tavira, this is the ONLY place we would stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tavira House. Mena was amazing and could not have been more helpful. She greeted us upon arrival, was able to give us our choice of room, gave us ideas of what to do and where to eat and more. Breakfast was perfect and more than enough - we wrapped up what we did not eat for lunch on the beach one day. Jojo, who also worked there was super friendly and so courteous and responsive. Rooms were clean, shower was one of the best during our visit in Portugal and Spain, beds super comfy. Terrace at the top was lovely and a nice place to relax with a glass of wine after a busy day. Overall we would highly recommend Tavira House and would definitely stay again.

Absolutely marvelous place! It's totally worth paying for a room with a sea view (I was doubting at first, but saw the same comment and can second it). We could enjoy the sunrise from the room. The best thing about the place - is how close to nature it is. Watching flamingos in the evening and at sunrise was fantastic. They would give you a key, so you can walk around the area - it's worth staying in this longer to enjoy it. They have very good breakfast options (not included in the price and pay by cash only).

Obviously I had seen photo's of Moinhos das Mares,but when I actually saw my room, I had goosebumps...the room was spectacular! Everything you could possibly want from a holiday room perspective....great views of the birds on the river,very quiet and peaceful, comfortable bed and lovely bedding. The room has been designed extremely well (must have a woman's touch haha), and there is tea/coffee and a small fridge. I cannot imagine anyone NOT enjoying their stay in one of these rooms.

The building is located on the tidelands, which made for a unique and memorable stay. Although the surrounding area is quite rustic, the windows had screens, which made the stay more comfortable. The room had a small terrace with a nice view. The staff were responsive and helpful. There is a car park on the premises, making it easy to park. For such a small town, there were more restaurants and bars than we expected, so finding a place to eat was not a problem.

The location is very unique and I loved the information booklet explaining everything I need to know about Fuzeta. The room is big and with great view to the pond. It's super clean, big and has everything you need! The bathroom is massive and very neat and tidy. They serve breakfast in the morning in a very lovely room. I enjoyed watching the birds and crabs from the window in my room.

This place has a fantastic location for exploring around Tavira, I messaged to ask if we could leave our bags somewhere until the room was ready as we arrived early, they were very accomodating, we met Junior, the owner, the next day and he asked how things were, we mentioned a couple of things that were needed like the hairdryer which was only blowing cool air, by the afternoon he came back with a new hairdryer, kettle, and a few other things, he went above and beyond to help, the beds were very comfortable and a decent size kitchen and bathroom, the lovely patio which is private is next to one of the towers from the castle, the castle is a few hundred yards from the accomodation. The ferries to the beach are close by, If i come back to Tavira i would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was perfect for us, everything you could need for a self catering accommodation. Beds were comfy and the linen was clean and comfortable. We had 1 change of bedding as we were there 10 days. Courtyard is so lovely, we spent many evenings sat with a bottle of wine and tapas. Junior, Diane and her daughter are a delight so accommodating and anything you need they are there to help. We ate at Junior's restaurant twice on our stay and I can highly recommend it. However it does get extremely busy so ensure you message Junior ahead. We chose the best place for sure.

My apartment was very clean and comfortable. The shared outdoor area was very nice and peaceful for relaxing in. The location is perfect as it's very central and a 5 minute walk to the ferry to the island, which has an amazingly beautiful beach. Junior and Diana were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Junior's restaurant downstairs is delicious and very handy, book in in advance as it's very popular, though the well sealed windows mean you can't hear a thing inside. A lucky find and I'll definitely be back.

The apartment was very clean and spacious with everything and more you could need or want. The central location made it very easy to get to shops and restaurants which were only a stones throw away from the apartment. Junior and Diane were excellent hosts, always contactable if you needed to ask any questions. The restaurant downstairs from the apartment is owned by Junior and I would highly recommend eating lunch or dinner, the food was excellent especially the steaks.

The apartments are centrally located only 10 mins to bus and train station and right in town. The communication from Junior was excellent and he's done a fab job of renovating, with excellent soundproofing, nice shower with heaps of pressure, air con in the bedroom, a full kitchen and washing machine plus a lovely outdoor area. Junior maintains high standards with the upkeep and everything was so clean!! Thank you Junior and team for an enjoyable stay. 😀

What a great location literally in the middle of everything!!! Recommend that you park in the paid parking close by, check in and they will give you a map to get to free parking close by if driving. Easier than lugging your suitcase through town! Wonderful breakfast was included and even a free drink certificate for either alcoholic or soft drink for later at the rooftop. Didn’t use the pool, think it’s only foot or so deep, but would have been nice to cool off hot feet at end of day. Loved the pink blow up flamingo in the pool, could always see our hotel while taking boat trips, etc going past on the river. Furnishes were much nicer than in pic, looked out our window and could see the much photographed green tile house. In center of town, but not too much noise from below and did not continue late into night. LOVED the elevator!!! Only needed to take a few stairs. Make sure you have good directions, we nearly walked past it as ad for evening bar upstairs was out. Happy to recommend, staff was always very helpful and ready to explain where to find things.

Spotlessly clean, spacious room and surrounding areas. All the staff were friendly and happy. It was good to see the cleaning team working as a team to clean rooms etc. They deserve praise for their hard work and commitment in keeping the place clean and tidy. I applaud them. The rooms are exactly like you see on booking.com. The swimming pool area is lovely, as well as the roof terrace which gives great views of the surrounding area. There was a microwave which we didn't use, a toaster, fridge, kettle, two plate cooking hob, plus all the utensils, crockery, pans etc. Generous size modern closet for clothes etc, bath with shower and large bath towels, plus towels for use of the pool. The air conditioning was very effective. It was a great stay.

The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was equipped enough to cook a meal and it was a quiet place to spend the night. We were cycling and there was space to store our bikes by the pool. This might be trickier in summer if people are using the pool though.

We arrived late at night but had been emailed clear instructions and codes on how to enter the front door and then to pick up the door keycards from the lockbox next to reception. The studio was large, very clean and serviced every day. The pool area was very classy and lovely to relax. The pool, loungers and plants made for a very stylish facility. The reception staff were friendly and helpful too. Sunset from the rooftop was also spectacular!! They should have a little bar up there ;) One little suggestion... As there was a little kitchen area, providing some basic cooking supplies like cooking oil, salt & pepper and mixed herbs would've been a nice addition.

Excellent quiet location, friendly staff, very clean. Central location close to both railway stations. Washing up liquid etc. provided. Nice pool area - pool small but fine for "cooling off"!

Miguel was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. During our 4 day stay our room was cleaned each day while we were out. The air con was very good and kept our room cool and comfortable at all times. The shutters kept out all noise and light when closed ensuring great nights sleep throughout our stay. There was loud music until late as it was Tavira Day celebrations but as soon as we shut the shutters we couldn't hear a thing. There is a nice car park, free to use a few minutes walk from property along the river and past the bus station. We were sad to leave and will definitely stay again

What an incredible stay!!! Miguel was amazing, he waited late for us to arrive, and even surprised us with a room upgrade and gift for our anniversary, which was so special and exciting for us. When we asked for some dinner recommendations, Miguel gave us a very detailed explanation with a map, and we ended up going to one which ended up being the best dinner in our whole trip across Spain and Portugal!! (Terraze, highly recommended). The room was spacious, quiet, and clean, and best location in Tavira! Thanks again for the amazing hospitality!

So central, everything was so close. On the main square, so ask for a room at the back if there is going to be a stage in the square, my room was at the back and I heard nothing. My room was also very big and full of light. The bed was cosy, the air con quiet and efficient. The bathroom was huge and the shower efficient. Staff friendly, rooms clean. Roof terrace huge with a lot of chairs, but could do with some plants and some umbrellas.

This was my first visit to Portugal. From Faro, I caught the train to Tavira, then walked from the train station to the guest house in under 10 minutes. It was very easy to find and I was given an incredibly warm welcome by the receptionist. The guest house has a lovely private garden at the back, frequented by some beautiful cats; and the view from the roof terrace is stunning. I will absolutely be making a return visit, I loved it!

We arrived after check in time and were met with a smile and a very helpful young man who explained everything about the guesthouse to us. He is a credit to the establishment.The room was pristine, we did not make use of the kitchen facilities but they to looked very clean and well kept. We had a peep on the sun terrace which is very big. The situation of the guesthouse was very central and easy to find.

We had the most amazing and relaxing time at Casa de Cacela – it truly felt like home from the moment we arrived. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always with a smile and ready to help, which made our stay even more special. We loved the rooms that open directly to the pool and outside area where the pictures don't do justice. Each room is unique, very clean, and decorated with great attention to detail. You can really tell that everything has been carefully chosen to create an authentic and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was absolutely extraordinary! There was a huge variety of fresh fruit including papaya, mango, kiwi, and berries, as well as traditional Portuguese cakes and pastries, and a wonderful selection of cheeses. Being able to enjoy breakfast by the pool made it even more beautiful and relaxing. This place is a hidden gem – we can’t wait to come back!

Everything was perfect! The Casa de Cacela is a gem, with beautiful accomodations, amazing swimming pool and a great host. We enjoyed everything. The opportunity to also be able to use the kitchen and have dinner overlooking the pool was a nice touch.

Very nice gardens with a nice swimming pool. The buffet breakfast was excellent and we could eat outside by the pool. The room was comfortable and clean. The lounge and common areas are nice and well appointed. The share kitchen was clean and fully equipped.

The bedrooms are very good, and the house is easy to find, the outdoor patio by the pool is amazing during day and night. Very relaxing and quiet, with a beautiful sky to look at. Great size pool. Great breakfast. Family feeling house, well decorated. Very well maintained.

This is a well maintained property at the edge a a very nice village with a few restaurants with in walking distance. In addition, it is few minutes drive from an excellent Algarve beach with lots of free parking. The breakfast each day was super with lots of options. The owner & her staff were fully available for any needs. The “farm” is just beautiful with many varieties of fruit trees. A great place for relaxing with a very nice pool. Very easy to recommend!

The property and site were just phenomenal - the villas had real authentic and rustic Portugese charm, and you can see how much thought has gone into decorating each of them individually with such lovely and unique details. The view from the rooftop of our villa was stunning, and it was well-equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. The double bed was highly comfortable, too, and there was plenty of space for storage for us while we were there. Pilar could not have done more for us at all, even down to stocking our fridge so our toddler could eat when we arrived after a late flight. She is a truly exceptional host! The villa complex is a great distance from the local town and beach, and we were happy to stay local and walk everywhere as we wanted a relaxing family holiday to recharge our batteries. If you wanted to go further afield, renting a car or bicycles would be more beneficial, but Pilar even had recommendations for those, too! The plunge pool has incredible views of the sea, and is in really good condition with some chairs, loungers and cushions around it too. There was also a barbecue, launderette and airers available free of charge so that we could do emergency washing and drying (so, so helpful with a toddler in tow!). Thank you so much, again, for such an incredible stay. We will most definitely be back!!

It was my first meeting with Portugal, The Monte de Lagoa was the excellent place for the beginning of discovering the Portugal. The discreet charm of a former rural farm transformed into a tourist gem is delightful. Fully equipped kitchen with all necessary utensils, gas stove allow you to realize any of your culinary fantasies. Two bedrooms, a cozy lounge, a spacious bathroom with a shower in the house, and an ocean view pool outside - all this allows you to comfortably spend time in this location.

Monte da Lagoa is the ideal place to watch the time go by and relax. We stayed in the studio, which was very spacious and comfortable for two. We had everything we needed to cook and make our own meals. We had our meals sitting outdoors every night. Local shops were 10 minutes walking or 5 with a bicycle, as well as the beach. Restaurants were also very nearby. Pilar is an excellent host, and she made everything to make us comfortable! We will definitely be back!

This was an exceptional stay. From start to finish, Pilar made us most welcome. She was an extraordinary host, the house was incredible and it’s a perfect base to explore this side of the Algarve. I would highly recommend and for sure I will undoubtedly return. It was just brilliant in every way possible.

Very cosy, great facilities and perfect for a family get away. Close to many areas where there is lots to see. Also great for visiting with dogs. Pilar is very nice she gave us some recommendations for our stay and made sure we were happy with everything.

As well there is a very nice and cosy restaurant and shop where they sell their own products, like jams, olive oil, some souvenirs etc.

What a wonderful peaceful Oasis. We really enjoyed our stay with here. My children enjoyed feeding the animals and the welcoming nature of the staff. An extremely thoughtful place with water guns for the Children by the pool as well as lilo's under first aid kit in your room. All the little details that make your holiday special.

Breakfast is very good. The swimming pool is great. We had dinner both nights of our stay and the food was very good as were the staff, especially Maria and her music choices.

We were very happy at Quinta, had a nice house, well equipped kitchen, good bed upstairs, well working aircon, very nice, helpful staff, Sonja, Margerita, Pedro wonderful dedicated people, some dogs (the sausage came every time we cooked and waited paytiently for a snack, some of the cats were rather a pain because they always wanted to get inside our room, lots of chicken and beautiful roosters, and all those fig trees with juicy figs, we could also get vergetables from the garden, the swimming pool is open any time, great farming area, quiet (of course the roosters tell you when it's time to get up), Tamina is worth a trip (interesting old town), 6 km away is a big shopping center open till 10 PM, The WiFi was not very strong, Maria is a good cook but the price for a meal is out of proportion, 25 Euros is much too much for what you get (especially when you exspected shark and shrimp and only got some fish a little bigger than Sardines), that was our only disappointment- otherwise a great place to stay and enjoy.

Jose treats you like you are a long lost , valued member of the family. He is the perfect host with his warm hospitality and his deep knowledge of the area. The location is terrific, easy walking distance to the centre and the ferry for Isla Tavira. The house is a beautifully restored family home and there are only 3 guest rooms. We met the other guests and in a small way became friends. We ate our breakfast in the central courtyard each day and came home to it each night for coffee by the candle lit ambiance. Tranquility ! Tavira is a great town for history buffs or beach goers. Jose will lend you self guided walking tour books that could keep you going for many days. This is one of the few places we have stayed where we may return primarily for the hotel. If we were returning to Tavira and Azul Sul was sold out we would likely change our dates just to be able to stay there.

Azul Sul is a lovely place to stay. The house and courtyard are very pretty and an ideal place to relax. The rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The hosts are charming, welcoming and generous with their recommendations, information and hospitality. The location is perfect - a quiet street within easy walking distance of any of the attractions or restaurants that you might want to visit. Tavira is a charming town with lovely squares and churches and a castle plus several museums. We didn’t need a car. One day we had lunch at Santa Luzia, a small fishing village 1 km along the coast and then walked back into town past orange, lemon and avocado trees. Azul Sul is the perfect place to stay.

Beautiful 3 room boutique property that has been in their family for many years. completely redone a few years ago with modern finishes. the courtyard between the rooms was our favorite place to sit and have a drink. The location was perfect. Very central. Pretty much 5 minutes from all the main sites and restaurants. The owner made sure we had an excellent experience. Prior to staying he emailed us a 16 page guide to Tavira and surrounding areas. When we checked in he welcomed us with a drink and discussed his recommendations further. He even made reservations for us at some restaurants because we don't speak Portuguese. We can't say enough about our experience at Azul Sul. We will definitely be back.

We were made to feel very welcome by Jose and Maria Helena for our 3 night stay - they were very flexible with our check in times. During the check in our hosts gave us detailed information of thing to do, places to visit and restaurant recommendations over a glass of wine and delicious home made cake. The accommodation is very well located and the sunny courtyard area with its shady seating very peaceful for sitting and relaxing. Everywhere is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. There is an honesty bar for soft and alcoholic drinks. The hosts “go over and beyond” to ensure that their guests are happy and content. AzulSul is a gem! Thank you Jose and Maria Helena.

Great location, beautiful gardens, everything we needed for a short break was provided. The property lay behind a blue door just off the street, and after stepping through into the courtyard was a hidden garden, around which the accommodation was arranged. The courtyard itself, outside the door of the little cottage we rented, was the perfect place to sit and enjoy both sun and when it got warmer, the shade. On arrival, Jose welcomed us with his wifes homemade cake and a glass of wine, and his recommendations and suggestions really helped us find our way around quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. Azul Sul was a great place to stay, and Jose was a great host. Loved it.

The staff were excellent: welcoming, helpful, going above and beyond. The room was spacious, and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. Additional services were on offer, that we hadn't expected: food available to buy at reasonable prices at lunch time. Tea and coffee-making facilities available all day in breakfast area. A bigger place than we expected, but still with a personal touch. Very well located in centre of town. Close to cafés, restaurants, historical monuments, shops, river and ferry to Tavira Island and beach. We asked for a quiet room and that is what we were given.

The hotel is excellent. The facility was very good: the room size is big, the location is near all important places that we want to see, the staffs are friendly and helpful. Special mention for Douglas who not only helped us carry one of our luggage to our room (since the hotel does not have a lift), but also explaining local restaurants that we need to try. We also met him half way down when we want to check out, and he helped us again to carry one of our luggage down. Great service with a smile!

Amazing property! The staff are local people fro Tavira with a beautiful passion for their hometown. They shared tipps for restaurants and activities to do with us and were super helpful all the time. The rooms are beautiful with nice little details. The house is right next to the castle with a beautiful terrace as well. And the highlight for us was the breakfast buffet with homemade food every food (the best breakfast we’ve had so far in a hotel or vacation property)! We would 100% recommend this place 🙌

This is my 3rd stay at Al Muralha and it is exceptional 👏 Staff lovely, breakfast absolutely outstanding different home made delights every day. The beds and pillows are Memory foam which gives an amazing night's sleep away from home. The location is the best. Gorgeous roof terrace to soak up the sun if wanting a relaxing day. I love this hotel and would recommend to everyone and I will be returning 😊. Thank you for adding to my brilliant holiday in Tavira.

The hotel was stunning, beautiful artwork everywhere. Mário was really helpful in providing local food recommendations and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, my children loved cake for breakfast! There was nothing to fault about the hotel at all, the small pool made a great “plunge pool” as it was unsurprisingly not warm in February! Tavira is a lovely town for exploring this part of Portugal, with Fuzeta and Olhao not far too. Could not recommend this hotel enough to anyone.

Location location location! Liked · Location location location! If you are looking for a traditional guest house in the most central and perfect location in Tavira, Residencial Mares is the place for you. It overlooks the canal and has the most amazing restaurants surrounding it (do your research). Rooms are basic, but with this in mind, everything else is very good. Front facing rooms over the canal have a pretty view but can be a little noisy. Quiet rooms at the back I found were better, with an all day sun terrace overlooking rooftops. Noise does travel through the rooms due to the (beautiful) traditional terracotta tiles (and specially if you have noisy inconsiderate guests in the room next door). Breakfast was adequate, quite substantial, fresh and pretty much everything you need for a basic breakfast with good ingredients. If traditional and authentic is what you are looking for, then this is the place to stay in Tavira. If, however Hotel standards (a little more sterile in my opinion) is what you are looking after, then look at Hotels. Maria, the Guest House Manager runs the establishment perfectly. Book early if you want a good deal.

More than happy with Residencial Mares. The location is perfect, the hotel is a bit quirky, bit rustic and a bit bohemian. Not having a lift and having to climb up and down stairs may be a challenge for the physically impaired but for an able bodied person the challenge is worth it and if with a bonus having access to a roof patio. The room was not overly big but very comfortable and there is a small fridge in the room. The reception staff go beyond normal duties to ensure your stay is a good one, all done with a smile and with nothing too much trouble. The included breakfast is exceptional with a good selection of items available with hot scrambled eggs and bacon (not cold like in so many other places) and the orange juice is freshly squeezed on site, again not like other places who serve sweetened rubbish purporting to be orange juice. My only regret is that I didn't have time to stay here longer. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants good old fashioned service, a quality breakfast and in a great location.

We fell in love with this charming place. We were welcomed as if we were staying in their own home and each person who worked there was so helpful in addition to be warm and friendly. Note there is no elevator, but not to worry it is not that tall. We loved the location right on the river and close to many, many restaurants. There is a lovely restaurant attached and owned by the residence. From here it is easy to walk to all you need to or want to see and do. If you have a car there is free parking in two large lots close by. If you’re looking to save money on an expensive or big hotel, this is the place for you. By the way, the cost for adding breakfast is very reasonable. We met a couple who said this was their third visit and would always come back

You don’t get any luxury and it’s not perfect in every corner, but this hotel is really charming and the room feels clean. The room was a little bit small but good planned, we had place for two suitecases on the floor. The bathroom was big and light. Comfortable sheets and the beds were also quite good. We had a big, very privat balcony at the backside of the hotel, with view over a calm, beautiful street. The balcony had sun from 8.30 to 17.30 which was wonderful in februari, it became an extra room. The staff is very kind and nice. The breakfast is good. There are several nice restaurants around the hotel and it’s close to everything. We stayed a week and would without a doubt return - and we would choose a room at the backside again. This is hotel fare exceeded our expectations . The location is superb , right by the Ferry to the island . The bedroom whilst not huge was a good size , with a kettle, fridge , it was spotlessly clean and the towels were bath sheets ( very rare) . The breakfast was more than plentiful, fresh fruit , cereal, yoghurts , pastries and a hot selection of scrambled egg and bacon . I am really not sure what people are expecting for the price you pay . The staff were polite and helpful, a special mention for Pedro who advised us on where to go , restaurants etc

Beautiful spacious building in top location, super clean, with everything you need. The 4 bed female dorm was spotless and even had a table, chairs, and wardrobes! The bathroom was huge and also very clean. Friendly professional staff. Free breakfast in the morning. Late night checkin available. Overall amazing price.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and really nice. The decor and terrace were lovely and I was lucky to meet some lovely people who were sharing the same room.

I fell madly in love with Tavira and the Princess of Gilão was icing on the cake. From the moment I entered and was greeted by a wonderful woman working there, until the time I left, my experience was great. The room was clean and large. It had everything I needed and the bathroom tub (if you're a tub person) was great. There are great views of the river. And the location is perfect with parking right in front. The parking is free on the weekends when I was there.

Lovely position right on the River Gilao . This was our second stay there, last year we had a room at the side of the hotel which was ok. This year we booked a river view room which was much bigger with great views of the river and town.

The property is well placed for town centre and has parking too!!!!!. Staff were extremely friendly and polite with an excellent knowledge of English. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. I have no concerns in recommending this hotel and its staff for anything less than 5 stars.

Excellent location overlooking the river. Decent size room with comfortable bed and great view from the small balcony. Centrally located for restaurants, sites, ferry to the isle da Tavira. They offer breakfast at an extra cost or there are cafes nearby. Great place to stay, would highly recommend

The room have great size, the bed is super comfortable and the view to the pool is very nice and beautiful. The breakfast is very good, and the guy who took care of it was very friendly. We also enjoy the quiet and the tranquility of the property. The pool is good sized and has great sun exposure.

The owner was so welcoming and helpful, he went out of his way to accommodate my dietary requirements for breakfast. The whole place is beautiful and so peaceful. My room was really spacious with a fridge and a lovely private patio outside. The ensuite shower room was clean and the shower was lovely. The pool was clean and lovely and the views were amazing. I didn’t want to leave!

The staff was exceptional. You think of something and it's already taken care of. A more than great breakfast. The view was magnificent We stayed in a chalet. The privacy was great. This place was amazing! Very relaxing, quiet and clean! The pool area is very nice and beautiful. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious and so filling! It includes some fresh fruits, croissants, bread, eggs, ham and cheese, butter and jam, coffee and fresh orange juice. I would happily come back there :)

Excellent location, the close proximity to the rail station meant we can access the larger towns on the Algarve. There is a top class beach within walking distance, and a ferry (ten minute journey) to a more extensive beach on an island close to the coast. The property is within walking distance of several top grade restaurants, and also close to a fish market where the recently landed fish are for sale.

Nice, clean, spacious house with everything you need. Our room was very spacious with ensuite bathroom. Loved the roof terrace with views to the sea. Nice sun trap outside the kitchen for breakfast. Communal spaces clean and tidy with allocated space in the kitchen for your personal food etc. Quiet location close to station, town, cafés, supermarket and Ria Formosa cycleway. Overall excellent stay and great value for money. Thank you😃

Spacious room with comfy beds and pillows. I really appreciated that we each got two pillows—one soft and one firmer—so there was something to suit everyone’s preference. The little village is incredibly peaceful, yet still offers a good variety of restaurants. Not to forget that the hosts are incredible kind and helpful! Thanks Nathalia.

Wonderful guest house. The room was modern and private. The shower room was excellent. The shared space was big and very nice. Lots of space to view the sea both on the back porch and the roof terrace. The host was super nice and explained everything.

Very nice place and super friendly staff, Pedro Luz is a really cool guy, gave us lots of tips, and was very flexible (and patient!) regarding our check-in time, as we got there quite late due to delays at the car rental.

Our stay at Vila Fuzeta could not have been more synchronistic. Thank you Vaulter and Jessica for your generosity and welcoming us to such a special and comfortable property. Our only regret is that we did not find Vila Fuzeta sooner. Vaulter is an exceptional host - his excitement and enthusiasm for hosting and his attention to detail are great memories. We were very lucky to find Vila Fuzeta when we did - we were originally staying in Alvor at an Airbnb and needed to leave at the last minute, around 7:30pm. We found Vila Fuzeta on booking.com and Vaulter was immediately responsive, and was in fact waiting for us at the entrance gate upon our very late arrival around 12:30am. Thank you for making us feel safe, welcoming us with a very sweet breakfast (homemade orange juice and pumpkin and strawberry butter are the stand outs!), and curating a beautiful property. Our stay felt like a retreat and a sanctuary, with a beautiful pool, landscaped yard, a modern building that retained European architecture, and an updated bathroom that had great water pressure. You will not regret staying here. We recommend staying at least 3-4 nights - 2 nights just isn’t enough :) Vaulter, we wish you continued success!

Everything. Volter the owner makes you feel so comfortable and welcome from the moment you arrive. The room was great and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a wonderful shower. Wi-Fi worked everywhere without problem. Lovely pool& sun loungers. Breakfast was very good with fresh orange juice, so refreshing. During the day you can have a beer, wine and water which are very reasonably priced. Help yourself out if the fridge and write it down, pay at the end of the holiday. The young lady who helps at buffet and keeping rooms clean and tidy is so friendly and helpful. There is free parking. Also Volter recommend a restaurant nearby casa Dima which was the best meals and reasonably priced. Just wonderful

Vila Fuzeta is very clean and well maintained, the owner takes great pride in looking after his guests, we enjoyed the personal service and were made to feel very welcome and cared for. The location was perfect for us. There is a train station 10mins walk which gave us a good chance to explore the Algarve. Tavira approx 15mins by train. Fuseta is a very traditional unspoilt town, approx 15mins walk away with a good variety of restaurants. The nearest beach is approx 15-20mins walk. The salt pool and grounds were lovely , well looked after and peaceful.

It’s a very quiet and calm place, ideal to relax, spend some time by the pool, check out beaches nearby and have all the comfort you’re looking for in your holiday. The host is super accommodating, always available to help you, and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. The breakfast is great! Our stay was amazing, so thanks you very much Vila Fuzeta! We’ll be back :)

Breakfast rest sleep everything you need from a great host Walter and the lovely Jessica . Amazing salt water pool close to the town where you can find everything you need and great BBQ fish restaurants also close to Tavira and faro definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed
