Swim-up Rooms & Private Pools in Xcanatun

An oasis of calm after the busy streets of Mérida and wonderful to have a pool to cool off in. We had a room with a terrace and the pool was directly outside so it was almost like a private pool. It was very quiet when we stayed and I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel made our stay in Merida something special, we loved it! We had this beautiful spacious room with private terrace and almost private pool. Felt like we were guests in a palace. It is a haven of calm beauty right in the old historic area. Wonderful staff and the breakfast was also. Order the Huevos Motulenos, amazing! Don’t miss out on this excellent quality for a reasonable price hotel 👍

Checkin process was simple and easy. The whole staff was super friendly. Loved that TV had Netflix on it. The room was clean and spacious. The middle pool was my favorite. There was no one around in the pools so I had it all to myself. They have a little bar area where I was able to get drinks to take to the pool or even enjoy it at the bar. Lots of good places to eat within walking distance. Staff were all very helpful. Highly recommend.

Great Boutique hotel a few blocks away from the historic centre of Merida. Very close to some excellent restaurants and bars. The historic centre is great for walking and was very lively and interesting. The hotel itself was very good; rooms are spaced out around three pools and huge communal sitting areas. We had a standard room which was good, but if coming again would probably book a suite for the additional space. Continental Breakfast was included in our package and was good. There was a breakfast menu if you wanted to add other choices. The pool areas were great for relaxing after a day sightseeing. Quiet and tranquil enhanced by a few cool beers. The hotel itself is great but is made more special by such friendly and helpful staff. They couldn’t do enough to make your stay excellent. Thank you. There are some excellent restaurants in Merida. We tried two and they were both outstanding, with the added bonus of being 50% cheaper than UK prices.

The welcome was excellent. The guys on the front desk make a special effort to remember names. The hotel is situated on a not particularly attractive busy road. But once you walk through the entrance and bar area it opens out onto beautiful historic open courtyards with small swimming pools. The rooms are clean and nicely attired with interesting features. Our room had French doors to the first pool. It was very pleasant indeed. They do not serve food apart from breakfast but Merida has many good restaurants, numerous within walking distance from the hotel. The breakfasts were, for us, limited to either a continental or one dish and one drink off the menu. This was normally done well, one morning it was full in our area so we went to the adjacent courtyard, which was slowly and curtly served. The bar man was lovely, as were all the other members of their team. We had a wonderful stay in Merida, the hotel and hotel team were lovely.

Clean, quiet, pretty, location near centro historico and ADO bus station. The private pool in the room was great.

All of the staff was very friendly and the accommodations were very nice. I thought that both rooms had a private pool but it’s only the deluxe. Also there was a lot of noise early in the morning that woke us up.

Easily walkable to the city center which is the hub of activity. Many restaurants near by. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, lots of storage for clothing and a nice desk space. Private patio with plunge pool was an added luxury that made the room feel very special. Very strong water pressure in the room which was nice. The bathroom was large with huge shower. The common space in the hotel is attractive and well maintained. The lobby is inviting. The courtyard has a small lap pool for everyone to enjoy. Breakfast at the sister-hotel across the street was very good. Parking is close and was easy to get to. Very nice and comfortable stay in Merida.

Great location, staff, amenities. Quiet at night, strong and personal WiFi (per room). Main pool is always clean and refreshing. I stayed in a junior suite on the first level. This suite included its own mini pool and lots of natural light. I had to work remotely 2/3 nights I stayed. The big windows facing my own private patio made a huge difference. I agree with other travelers that the breakfast offered is OK. I ended up eating breakfast and getting great matcha and drinks at the little cafe next door.

Everything was big. The room, the bed, the shower, etc. We booked a deluxe room, but they gave us something better. And they didn't lie, the deluxe was half the size! We stayed in room 2, which is just in front of the little pool. We could basically jump into the pool from our room, if we would be able to jump so far 🤣

Suite with private pool is great - large, quiet and clean. The hotel and general facilities are also good, and location is central within walking distance of all the main attractions. Staff were lovely - they even looked after our bags a couple of extra days. Private parking nearby at extra cost.

Comfort, customer service, lush green plants breakfast in the morning, coffee peaceful safe and secure in the heart of Mérida. Enjoyed my private pool and of course the beds were ultra comfortable😃☺️

Our room was at the rear of the property and was very quiet. Spacious enough and plenty of storage. Short walk to the main square. Private plunge pool was a nice addition Breakfast was ok, continental style but nice to have some fruit and yoghurt.

I booked a suite with private pool and requested an upstairs room. When we got there we were given a downstairs room at the back of the hotel. It was dark, musty and the private pool area was uninviting. However, the next day our whole experience changed when we switched rooms to an upstairs suite. I LOVED that room! It felt like we had our own private oasis and the private pool was perfect! I especially loved the sky light in the shower, the tile work and the bed and pillows were great.

The room, private pool, and outdoor seating areas were exactly as pictured. The room was spacious with plenty of space to unpack, the A/C was nice and cold, and the TV had countless options. The outdoor seating area was so pleasant and relaxing with the beautiful blue, pink, and yellow paint and all the green plants. The location was very convenient (easy walking to many restaurants and sights). We arrived the night before Hurricane Beryl, and the hotel staff at the front desk gave us extremely detailed, helpful information about what to expect and how to prepare.

Everything. Amazing property done in good taste. Quiet, heavenly, gorgeous. Great staff - so helpful, good English speakers, prompt comms, 24 hour reception. Room was lovely - we had one on the ground floor overlooking the pool with 2 sets of doors. One door was opening in a nice little garden space next to the pool - perfect for your morning coffee or some reading. Breakfast is delicious!

I got a severe migraine my first night there. In the morning I contacted the staff and asked for help. They called a doctor, he made a visit to me at the hotel within half an hour. I was given an examination and given the proper mediation. I am super grateful because without the mediation, my vacation would have been ruined. The staff were very attentive and checked on me and made sure I had food and anything else I needed that first day to recover. The hotel is beautifully designed with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The pool area was tranquil and offered the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. The outdoor dinning area was perfect for enjoying a meal prepared by the hotel or one brought in by guests! Despite being located on a main street, the property is very quiet. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my stay here. Perfect location and easily accessible to anything you would want to see or do. Met the owner on arrival and she could not have been more warm and welcoming. The staff was equally attentive and lovely.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and charming. We appreciated the staff and their willingness to help. What a lovely place. We loved the chukum pool and the decor. We will definitely stay their again.

Second time at the property, many years after the first visit. Rooms are spacious and well decorated, with an outdoors shower. The hotel lobby is beautifully upkept, in Yucatec style, and the pool area is very pleasant. Very relaxed atmosphere, an oasis in the warm chaos of central Merida.

Everything is understated elegance, from the lobby torn from the pages of Architectural Digest, to the bosky pool courtyard and dining areas. Rooms are big on tile, exposed rock, and local woods, with courtyard views. My room, #6, had a downright decadent outdoor rain shower, featuring hot water and strong pressure--not always found in Mexican hotels. Good bed, quiet overnight. Staff is friendly and eager to please. I sense a hotel of this calibre would be twice, three times the price in Bali or Tulum, so a decent value too. A few quibbles: I would have loved a chair or loveseat in the room. There is space for a refrigerator in the cabinet, again would have been a welcome addition. And given that the pool is the hotel's central feature, hotel staff should aim to clean pool more often--pool caught a lot of leaves and debris that daily or twice daily cleaning would have removed. Small things. On the balance, a strong recommendation for your hotel choice in beautiful Merida.

A beautiful, boutique hotel in the old town. About ten minutes walk to the Cathedral. We had a room with doors opening onto the garden. There’s a small pool, nicely landscaped. A small restaurant area for breakfast. It’s all very beautifully designed. The biggest selling point is the staff. They couldn’t have been more helpful, including helping us arrange a trip to the Cenotes, Particularly want to thank Maate who was so charming and helpful. Only thing to be aware of is that there are no steps in to the pool so you have to be able to lift yourself out.

I really loved my stay here, this place really delivers. As far as overall design, when you walk in it is immediately calming. There is a beautiful courtyard and pool and a patio with tables for eating meals. It feels like a little oasis in the city. My room was absolutely fantastic. The design was modern but comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well. The design aesthetic is just cool without being gimmicky at all. The folks working there are lovely and so, so helpful. I wanted to book private transport to Uxmal and some cenotes and so I emailed them ahead of time and they arranged everything for a great price. The day of my trip they coordinated my departure and even gave me a box lunch to take with! I would absolutely stay here again and I've already recommended the place to friends and family. I truly don't understand anyone who would give it less than a 5/5 rating.

This felt like coming home. Absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. The windows and doors look original to the property and are very rustic and gorgeous. Same for the beams, dresser and bed frames. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean. The breakfast options are a tad limited but delicious. If you order juice, it is made fresh on the spot (I saw the waiter making ours). The area is very walkable. If you’re Catholic; Santa Ana Parish nearby has English masses. There’s a couple of restaurants and shops nearby. Tons more if you walk a few more blocks on the downtown or Paseo Montejo directions. Plus, the famous La Negrita Bar is only feet away. The cocktails are huge but it is VERY affordable there.

Private plunge pool. All things combined lead to a pleasant three week stay.

The hotel is beautiful and we recommended specially for couples. Is quiet and cozy, very romantic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Do not be put off by the exterior of the street, once you are inside is very nice. Our room had its own private pool and it was really nice. The only possible downside is that is about a 15 minute walk from downtown or a 8 dollar UBER ride. We chose to walk and it was not bad at all. About two blocks from the hotel is the Mercado de Santiago where you can find good food at very affordable prices.

This charming little hotel was our oasis from the heat and bustle of the city. Having a spacious room with a private little courtyard and plunge pool was heaven after enduring sweltering temperatures. The plunge pool was much cooler than the common pool. So glad we opted for the courtyard amenities-well worth the extra $! The beds were comfy, linens were crisp, bathrooms well appointed with organic shower products-not those tiny little single-use bottles. Breakfast offered traditional choices as well as Yucatanean offerings, and the service was excellent. This hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest market. We were able to summon an Uber within 9 minutes for longer treks. If you desire a lovely, quiet, quaint haven from the hustle and noise of the city, Hotel Unknown is an excellent choice!

It truly was the unknown and then you walk through a door into heaven! I had to remind myself that I had not left Mérida! We switched from busy Paseo de Montejo area to the quiet, peaceful neighborhood of Santiago. We booked a room with a private pool & loved the peaceful small, but perfect outdoor space. The 2 bedroom was perfect for our family of 3 adults. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. One thing to note is there are a few somewhat strict rules: only one coffee pod per person/per day. Breakfast is one drink, coffee refill is extra. Be sure if you book online that your reservation has the correct number of guests. There was a little glitch with that on check in, but the staff was patient and very helpful to straighten it out. Breakfast is good! Fruit plate & eggs prepared to order! We had wonderful massages at the spa here too! There is a photo in the lobby showing what the place looked like before they renovated it! Amazing! It is truly an oasis in the city. My only complaint, but not really a complaint, is the beds are a bit hard. We still slept well because it was quiet and turned the ceiling fan on and the door with screen open to our pool. Woke up to the birds singing in the morning. We even extended our stay here! I highly recommend Hotel Unknown! It will soon be known!

The hotel is in Barrio de Santiago, a quiet, gentrifying area just west of the Centro. I liked the staff very much - they were super helpful and super nice and patient with my rusty Spanish. The plunge pool was very welcoming and clean, great to cool off after a hot day walking around. Walking to the room was quite tricky. Not great for unsteady walkers. The coffee at breakfast was limited to 1 cup and really, it was awful. There was a coffee maker in the room which was also limited to 1 cup each, but we didn't use it. The hot water in the shower lasted 5 minutes or so, but a tepid shower was OK given the heat. There was nowhere to hang a wet bathing suit to dry (if anything ever really dries in Mérida.) A clothesline in the shower would've been perfect. The room had a bedroom and an anteroom with a couch but it felt cave-like in that it was very dark, even with the lights on. Not enough hangers. Generally, the room was just OK though the bed was very comfortable. The location is good. The nearby Parque de Santiago has a mercado with some "taquerias" and "loncherias". Plus music and dancing on Tuesday evenings. There are cafes nearby the hotel with very good coffee. A 20-minute walk to the central plaza and to Paseo Montejo. 30 minutes to the central mercado. All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay but I will not use the hotel again. I'd prefer something lighter and brighter.

Staff was amazing! Nice, helpful and smiling all day and night! The room was quaint, yet comfortable with a very good air conditioner and colonial feel. Pool and pool area was clean and nice to go wading in. The location was excellent! It was a couple blocks from many of the churches and the centros. Restaurants, convenience and souvenir stores everywhere! Only problem was the drain in the shower did not drain. We had to take turns showering in order to let the water drain. We mentioned it to the maid and she just said ok. I should have called the front desk but we were always on the go. Overall, we liked it alot and would stay there again!

What a beautiful place to stay. This hotel is tucked in Parque de los Hidalgo which is so convenient. The hotel is well preserved and filled with beautiful artwork. The service was great, the front desk staff was prompt. We requested a cab and they made the arrangements as requested. The room is perfect for a nite with all the amenities a/c, TV and toiletries. There is a pool on the third floor. I didn’t go in the water, I did a temp check with my toe, it felt great. I would totally stay here again.

The hotel was in a great location, close to many restaurants and to the Plaza Grande. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was small but suited our needs and was very peaceful. The only negative was a lot of street noise and construction noise especially in the early morning hours.

I recently stayed here for 5 days and it was the perfect way to relax in a beautiful setting. The staff are so kind and hard-working, the grounds are immaculate and clean, and the meals were delicious. I enjoyed both the larger pool and the private plunge pool, as well as the little touches in the room that made it feel so luxe yet comfortable. The location is fantastic too. You can walk to just about anywhere in the city and come back to a quiet, calm retreat. I would not hesitate to return and to recommend Adoro to others. Gracias, Adoro!

We had such an incredible stay in this hotel!! The staff was perfect!!! Alfonso the concierge was the absolute best!! The room we stayed in was the absolute best!! We had the best rest of our lives. The bathroom and shower were amazing and the plunge pool was a highlight of our whole trip to Mérida!!

We really enjoyed our 7 night stay at this boutique hotel in the heart of Merida. The hotel was perfectly appointed and decorated, it was so luxurious we felt like we were staying in our own hacienda with wonderful staff to take care of all our needs. Breakfast was exceptional, many options to choose from and was part of our VIP package through booking with Expedia. We stayed in a beautiful room opening up to the pool and had our own plunge pool off our bathroom. Both wonderful to cool off in after a day off exploring Merida. The bartender was fabulous and helped to educate us on tequila and Mezcal. The hotel location offered beautiful and exquisite restaurants and shops within easy walking distance from the Adoro. We did a lot of tours booked through Trip Advisor and they were great and allowed us to explore all around Merida. Would recommend the Adoro Hotel for a romantic getaway. We will be back. Thank you!

The pictures don’t to justice to this hotel. I was pretty amazed by the architecture and decoration. When you first enter the hotel you are received by a gorgeous tree. Then they show you the room and it was not only very beautiful, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our room was upstairs so we had a jacuzzi, I understand other rooms have a private pool (we will try those next time we come back). Locationwise, the hotel is one block away from a street full of restaurants and 2 blocks away from paseo de montejo which it’s an iconic street. As for amenities, we had breakfast in the restaurant which was very good (be sure to get the almond croissant), at night we had some cocktails at the bar which were also very very good. Overall, From start to finish it was a great stay.

This beautiful, brand-new hotel is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it a perfect location for exploring the area. Despite its central location, the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, with few other guests during our stay. The service was outstanding—every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

We absolutely loved everything about the property. It was stylish, comfortable and extremely clean. It was a pleasure staying at Central and it was like a home from home for us. A fantastic stay and if you are travelling to Mérida it is most certainly recommended. We have travelled to Mérida many times and this accommodation is right up there with the best of the best! Thank you to VIATO for such a wonderful experience. Btw, communication was second to none - a delight!

We spent four nights at Departamentos Central by VIATO in the Private Rooftop-Tub two bedroom apartment and had a fantastic experience. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-designed, with everything we needed — the fully equipped kitchen, washer, and dryer were huge bonuses for our family. Morning coffee on the private rooftop was simply unforgettable — peaceful, sunny, and a perfect way to start the day. Everything in the apartment worked as expected, and communication with the host was excellent — fast, clear, and helpful. We had a minor issue with a small water leak, but it was addressed quickly and professionally by the host’s team. The location was also fantastic — within walking distance to the historic center, beautiful parks, great restaurants, and local markets. Quiet neighborhood, but still close to everything.

Great location, nice places nearby, lots of space space, two barthrooms, great facilities in the building, rooftop view, and safety. A little pricey but in retrospect it was very much worth it. We panicked initially that parking would be an issue but we sorted that out: Parque de la Mejorada for free if possible, Don Pepe for a small fee outside of the weekend, and El Patio just next to the building as the last resort.

The pool was perfect and I spent many hours there. The home was absolutely beautiful with comfortable beds and amazing bathrooms. I had everything I needed in the kitchen.

We loved staying in this beautiful house. The beds and rooms were comfortable, the outdoor space was excellent, and the owners were very easy to deal with and friendly. The location was very good too, quiet yet central. Highly recommended.

Spacious house, everyone has comfy beds and enough room to move around. The staff was also very accommodating and has assisted us with what we need.

It was excellently appointed with lots of cutlery and crockery (of which we only really used the glasses!) The layout suited us well. The shower in the back bedroom was enormous and powerful, although there was a bit of a wait for hot water!

The location is only several blocks from the centre of town and there are several small grocery shops close by. The property is very private but very light and airy,with its own private pool and sundeck which was fantastic as the weather in Merida is generally quite hot and humid.All of the rooms are generously sized with firm comfortable beds and have A/C and ceiling fans and generously sized ensuites. It also has a garage to fit a mid sized car only (Don’t rent a large car) which very made life very simple as it’s difficult to park in the area.We initially had an issue with the WiFi which when mentioned the Owner personally came and replaced the unit immediately-very kind of him and worked perfectly.

Beautiful house in a great location in central Mérida. 5 minute walk to the central plaza with loads to do. Pool was lovely for cooling off in the heat of the day. Lots of space. Would comfortably sleep 8 if people didn’t mind sharing beds.

The location is great, you are literally 5 minutes walking from the main square of Merida. An another great thing is the private parking inside the house. It has spot for one single car but it turned out very useful for us! Each room is having its own AC and the house is kept in great shape. Overall great experience!

The best close to Ado bus terminal excellent transportation including taxi service restaurants cafes lots of shopping nearby. Lovely parks within walking distance the property is beautiful there's a swimming pool free Wi-Fi and excellent continental breakfast large clean dormitories in sweet bathrooms good private rooms with shared and private bathrooms.. very smart kind helpful staff the housekeeping and breakfast stuff is one of the best in Merida shout out to the lady there who takes care of that this one highly recommended. Nice seating areas some good to meet and greet some good for privacy plenty of places to charge your electronic devices and have quiet time pool table huge backyard garden Lounge areas short distance walking to to the famous arches in Merida Central tour is available to celestion Progresso Beach uxmal Chichen Itza say no taste and other great cultural sites

very nice common area at the pool, to play the guitar, drink a beer and chill, another area with pools which is cool too! My private room was small but good for the price + breakfast for the price included, 20min walk from the main spots

All of the staff members have been exceptional and accommodating. Every morning, the same woman who cleans the hostel also offers fresh fruit to the guests and cuts them up herself (there have been watermelon, papaya and pineapple in the 6 days that I have been here). This woman deserves our tips for working so hard. There is plenty of fresh coffee with milk and sugar if needed, bread, butter, clean drinking water, fruit, jelly and dishes and utensils to use. You can also cook your own food in the 24 hours a day kitchen. They keep everything incredibly clean and the grounds are beautiful with even a swimming pool, plenty of dorms with lockers and locks and a private bathroom in the female dorm - most nights I had the dorm to myself. There are massive amounts of lounge chairs, hammocks, trees and grounds to have your own space and not feel suffocated, crowded and overwhelmed. It is pleasantly quiet here as well. It is absolutely beautiful and relaxing here and you cannot get this type of hospitality in the U.S. or virtually anywhere. After many travels, I can honestly say that this is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in.

The peace and beauty of this one is so well worth short distance walk to Central , for someone like me it is perfecto. I get to stretch my legs to see the neighborhood , so close to Interstate bus terminal many places to eat . Little market right across street and it is set between two lovely parks . ice cream parlors convenience stores all within a few minutes walk .the environment here is clean the staff are great they take care of their clients. you get to meet so many interesting Folk from all over the world. this is it's on own little Paradise! Swimming Pool ,good kitchen well equipped excellent breakfast included in the price , you eat as much as you want and yes there is free Wi-Fi good bathrooms plenty of space for everyone to have a bit of privacy and to get together and enjoy each other's company wow terrific...try this one ! My congratulations to the entire staff they are so helpful and so pleasant you never feel out of place you feel like you belong here💋👍

I've had a great time at la ermita. The staff is overall friendly, the breakfast included is nice to have. I also enjoyed the outside/pool area since it's great to hang out and meet other travelers. The vibe is in general relaxed. My dorm felt like a good size and seemed clean all the time :) in my dorm (female dorm) there were even two bathrooms for 7 people!

The pool area was beautiful. Stunning little oasis in a high walled courtyard. Can even order a drink from the restaurant by the pool. The poolside rooms were stunning. Loved that they had onsite parking available (at a small additional fee).

Gorgeous hotel, with pool in inner courtyard offering very spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. On site restaurant and room service had delicious food. If you get breakfast included it has a good offering and was yummy. It is a small restaurant so relax and don’t be in a hurry as it does not have a large staff. Room offers air conditioning, a fridge, a good sized bathroom and is very spacious. Our room had a space with seating and a table if you wanted to relax and enjoy dinner on your own. With the vaulted ceilings the air conditioning cooled the space but did not make it cold. Inner courtyard has a lovely mid sized pool with a garden surrounding it which would be a great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail. Hotel is a couple blocks from the main square, plenty of other restaurant options nearby, shopping and sight seeing within walking distance. The beds were very comfy, with slightly firmer pillows. Our taste in pillows tends to be a bit softer so potential improvement would be to offer a variety of types of pillows. . Remember a can of tuna to “sacrifice” to the house cat. The lovely gray cat lounged and watched over all the patrons. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel, would love recommend staying here any time you are in Mérida.

The property was amazing ! From the reception area, around the pool and the balconies, everything was kept clean and tidy. The staff was also amazing, especially Alex at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make our stay amazing ! Our room was Suite 35 Chichen Itza, the last room on the second floor over looking the pool. amazing ! Also, the breakfast is worth paying for - pancakes, eggs, coffee etc.

Amazing place! The room was surprisingly huge and they made towel animals on our son's bed every day! The atmosphere of the gardens and pool were wonderful - we loved hanging out at the pool and the hammocks on the hot afternoons. Parking was easy and the staff were wonderful! Would stay again for sure!

This is a well-run small boutique hotel in a great location for exploring Merida and day trips. There are lots of good restaurant options in the small park right across the street. We had 1 breakfast at the hotel (not included in our room rate--15% given-- and it was good value. Our room was in the main hotel so no view (at all!) but it was quiet for a good night's sleep. There is no lift. I used the pool 1 afternoon, rooms facing the pool have a nice view. The staff was helpful and kind. The room and facilities are very clean. We ate at Babe's (excellent Asian cuisine @ 15 % discount) and at a couple of restaurants in Santa Lucia Square across the street, which were also excellent. We walked to everything in Merida which is a lovely city. We were there during Merida Fest so lots of evening activities, we always felt safe walking back to the hotel after 10 pm. We had booked 2 day trips and the pickup locations for each was a very short walk, convenient. I can totally recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I find myself back in Merida.

Clean & comfortable hotel to stay at. Staff was friendly & very helpful. Beds were very comfortable & buffet breakfast was good. Area around the hotel has everything you need. Only downside to this property is that there is no pool.

Merida, Yucatan has an average temperature of 102 F. They should have a Swimming pool.

Very nice hotel. Good service. Breakfast buffet was ok, but very limited fruit options. Room in excellent conditions and bed was comfortable. A pool would have been nice.

The hotel itself was great and all staff were welcoming and lovely. My room was pristine and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The food was perfect (I LOVED the burger and chips), but the buffet breakfast probably wouldn’t be good for picky European eaters (I’m sure one morning I had what looked to be mincemeat??)- whilst the buffet breakfast food may have been different to what I’m used to, it was still very very nice. My only downside to this hotel is the location- there is a big shopping centre on the opposite side of the road but not much else within walking distance. As a young solo female traveller I personally wouldn’t haven’t liked walking the area on my own at night, but thankfully this wasn’t an issue for me as I was only in Merida for a festival and found some friends with a car. If you are coming to Merida alone, please do be conscious of this hotels location (Ubers were fairly cheap though!). If you have a car or are happy to use Ubers/buses, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Location was great near highway which circles Merida. The room were what I expected of Holiday Inn (clean and comfortable). The only setbacks were the hotel is still under construction and some of the amenities were not available.

We said we'd arrive at 1am, didn't get there until 2am. The guy at the front desk stayed up and waited for us and was very polite.

Everything is ok if you just need a place to sleep. great place to walk around and a lot of places to have a lunch or breakfast.

All you need is there - great location next to La Plancha Park, walking distance to the Zocalo square. Modern and super clean place with a restaurant and great food. They have free of charge breakfast each morning and are proactive by organizing different activities such as salsa classes etc to cater socializing among visitors. Enough common space incl. a pool. The staff is very friendly and super helpful, so if you need any info about the city, traveling around or so on don't hesitate to ask them. I've also booked 3 different tours such as Chichen Itza, Uxmal etc at the reception with their partner agency and everything was exceptional

Hostik hostel, what more can I say. First off, the talent show was frigging awesome, these two people reenacted most of the hunger games adjacent to the pool and it was awesome. The people were so polite, always asking before they swam, and I even found treasure in the foliage. The breakfast was bomb, the accommodated for our allergens and the room had AC which was a vibe. The secret rooftop was too cute with a view of an old train car, I love trains!

The place itself is so comfortable, beautiful and spacious, you can find calm as much as you can find evenings having good conversation at the nar, he pool in the morning, the breakfast is really nice... and the staff... the staff is what truly makes the place shine above all. Thank you for everything!

Very nice hostel, with TV room, pool and rooftop. Rooms are not very big but the beds are comfortable.

Hotel Margarita is the epitome of faded grandeur and character. It is very low priced and everything was clean and tidy in our room. We were surprised to have a tv in the room and wifi offered, although the wifi did keep cutting out. The reception area was colourful and characterful and we couldn't care less about cold showers or basic coffee facilties, etc. The plants and flowers everywhere in the open topped hallways made the place beautiful. We had everything we needed and we loved the stay. The owner was friendly and kind when I spoke to him in my stunted Spanish as he spoke no English. The free parking felt secure and was next to the hotel. They let us leave our car there for a few hours after check out. Plaza Grande is a three minute walk away, the location couldn't have been better. Brilliant budget stay. Highly recommended.

Cuando llegue me dieron una habitacion hasta el fondo del hotel, NO me gusto al otro dia pedi que si me cambiaban y tube suete ya que no habia mucha gente y ne hicierron el favor de pasarme a uba habitacion doble y no me cobro diferencia de precio. Aunque no le agrado mucho al encargado, pero hablo bien de ellos ya que prefirio un buen trato al cliente , por ese detalle regresare me gusto. Y ese dia les robaron la plancha un huesped la pidió y se la llevo el muy rata. En fin esra dentro de un buen trato les falta capacitacion hotelera . Suerte y gracias

Al ser un edificio antiguo el hotel necesita más mantenimiento en cuanto a pintura, fuera de eso nuestra estadía fue cómoda y confortable. El personal fue amable en todo momento

Very pleasant. Good price. Friendly people. Easy to check in and check out. Proprietor Ishmael sent me to a great place about a minute away to grab a beer and some food. Convenient to the center of Merida - about 12 minute walk or so. Plenty of good local places for food, beer, groceries whatever within 3-4 minute walk. Highly recommend.

La señora rosy muy amable me atendio y se puso a disposición para cualquier cosa. El centro esta como a 8 cuadras que facil se pueden caminar de noche sin peligro. Primera vez en merida y me encanto. En cuanto al depa. Muy ameno el baño limpio, cortinas Blackout en la recamara. A/C muy bien. No tengo quejas.

We enjoyed staying in a true neighborhood. It was not a tourist area. It was quiet and we were able to sit on the little balcony and enjoy the many birds. Ismael was an excellent host. He attended to every request quickly and with a smile. He made us very very welcome and comfortable.

This place is going to blow your mind. I stayed at several places in Merida including a 5 star and I think this was still my favorite. Such a great value, quiet area, and very clean. You feel like you have your own apartment here definitely recommend

Had a great stay here. Owners very friendly and spoke English.The water pressure in shower was amazing.15 minute walk into centre. Uber eats delivered to us without any problem. Merida people very friendly and go out of their way to help!

Located half way between the Grand Plaza and Santa Ana Park & Paseo de Montejo. We could easily walk either way quickly to get to museums, restaurants, Merida English Library, historic mansions, walking tour starting locations and shops. Staff at Hotel Hacienda Merida were friendly, helpful and made sure we were comfortable, assisted arranging tours, taxis and answered any questions. Breakfast had flexibility between cereals, fruit, breads and preparation of eggs/ham. Room large and comfortable. Lovely courtyard with plunge pool.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights whilst we explored the City and nearby cenotes. Room 6 at the top was lovely, spacious, comfortable with a big well equipped bathroom, and a view out onto the garden. The breakfasts were excellent, served by the pool and the staff were very helpful and kind to us. I had the impression that this hotel was a step up from the Hotel Hacienda as it had bigger rooms. Though there were only 3 sunbeds, we never had to compete for them, the only downside was that the pool was rarely in the sun, so it was a bit fresh! Thoroughly lovely stay and highly recommended.

Lovely hotel in a perfect spot to see the sites of Merida. The main street; Paseo de Montejo (one direction) and the main square; Plaza Grande (the other direction) were both in easy walking distance. Our room, with a balcony overlooking the pool was wonderful, with a large room, large walk in wardobe and deep bath. Free parking round the corner. Limited, but freshly cooked and tasty breakfast, served by a friendly waiter. We didn't use the pool - its more of a feature than a swim. Perfect for what we wanted. Highly recommended if you want little style over the 'brand' hotels.

Beautiful property, excellent location closed to many restaurants. Excellent staff, private parking (this is so important because is difficult to find an hotel with parking in Merida Center). We were received for a nice staff and they gave us an upgrade. The only area to improve is the pool, there is a lot of leaves on the pool.

We stayed at Hotel Hacienda VIP for 6 nights, made as two bookings because of a change of plans. The very helpful staff were able to rearrange the rooms so we could be in the same room for the entire stay. The hotel itself has a beautiful arched foyer and pool area, where you can have breakfast. The rooms were simple, with polished concrete floors, but were lucky enough we had our own balcony on which we could have breakfast. A bar fridge would have been appreciated in the Mexican heat, but staff were happy to put our food in the hotel's refrigerator. The position was good, being walking distance to museums, restaurants and the historic center.. We ate at Mercado 60 (fun place with food from several different restaurants}, Oliva's Kitchen (great pasta and desserts) and Chaya Maya (watch ladies make tortillas in the restaurant). The hotel arranged a tour to Celestun to see the flamingos and we caught the local buses to Chitzen Itza (impressive) and Uxmal (amazing). We also Ubered to the Mayan museum, which is well worth a visit.

We were in Merida on business this last time and stayed for only 4 nights. The staff was wonderful. They were helpful, friendly, and spoke great english. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The free breakfast each morning was delicious. Quick and easy to begin the day. There was a pool which we never used (which is unusual for us) but we just didn't have time. It did look inviting though and saw people enjoying it while we were eating breakfast. The location is great if you dont want to be downtown although it is very quick and easy to get there. The price was right as we didn't want to stay in a huge hotel with all the bells and whistles. Just wanted a free breakfast and a pool. Having a great room, cleanliness, and great staff was the added bonus. We'd stay here again.

ease of access from the highway- 5 minutes size of room- excellent, big table to work on, comfortable beds- very comfortable ac- excellent and super quiet!!! bath- loved the shower breakfast- 50 ft of yummy pool & fitness- small but we were not there for that. friendly staff, clean hotel, just really slow elevators. you definitely will need a car, downtown is some 10 mins away, the airport about 20-30 mins, you are right next to the convention center, Costco, Sam's Club, the mall and the Mayan museum, and only a couple of minutes from the highway. Progresso beach is about 30 mins. We found the hotel super convenient for our needs, extremely comfortable rooms, loved the breakfast, and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Have been to Mérida about 5 times now. Best place to stay in Mérida. Front desk staff are not only bilingual, they are incredibly helpful and pleasant. They alone make the stay well worth it. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a pleasant experience. Pool is small, but adequate and well kept. Buffet breakfast is tasty and well stocked. Free shuttle service was timely. Will definitely stay here the next time we travel to Mérida. No complaints whatsoever with this hotel. Hopefully they keep adding things for tourists to see in this area.

The room and service was excellent, the included breakfast kept us going in a hectic business day. The pool looked inviting but we had no time. Very helpful front desk when we left some important objects behind. Close to north periferico highway and Gran Plaza shopping. Hotel has shuttle service that was also useful. Definitely would stay again if heading to the northern part oftown

This is our new favorite hotel, honestly even better than the Holiday Inn downtown. Huge clean rooms, fabulous complimentary breakfast, excellent front desk staff that could speak and understand English, nice pool area, reliable wifi in our room, and we even had a few English channels on our tv, including CNN. Close to the ring road so short easy trip to the beaches!

La chica de recepción que me registró, muy amable y resolutiva. Elegí este hotel porque está a una cuadra del CAS, vine a tramitar mi Renovación de VISA. Y además en frente del hotel, está la Terminal de Autobuses ADO Centro histórico TAME. Así que super recomendable si también acudirás a tu trámite de visa. Hay varias fonditas cerca y un Oxxo. Una farmacia al lado.

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en este hotel porque es un excelente opción de hotel económico. No está en una zona bonita pero sí conveniente, ya que está ubicada frente a la terminal de autobuses y a menos de 10 minutos caminando de la plaza central. Las habitaciones por dentro son bonitas y modernas. Tiene una regadera de lluvia muy potente.

Esta muy cerca del CAS, practicamente a una cuadra caminando. El check in fue muy rápido la recepcionista muy amable y servicial, hay un estacionamiento pero esta a una cuadra asi que recomiendo bajar tu equipaje en la entrada y despues estacionar, en general una buena esperiencia.

Estuvo perfecto el hotel, nada más un tema que los baños no cuenta con una puerta y al usar la regadera el suelo del baño se moja mucho y no hay desagüe para que pueda retirarse el agua. De ahí en más todo perfecto

La ubicación no puede ser mejor, está excelente , y las instalaciones son muy buenas para el costo , el único pero es el detalle del baño que no tenía cortina o Cancel pero pues nada de qué preocuparse , estuvo excelente

This hotel is close to the city center, in quite a good location. There are rooms facing the road and ones facing the pool. There is quite loud sound of machinery in the road facing rooms. The windows do not open. My room was large and comfortable with a big bathroom there was a coffee machine . The room was clean. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was good value for the rate we paid. It could do with some modernizing and perhaps some method of opening the windows or ventilation. The air conditioning worked but was very cold . There is a swimming pool.. it is very convenient for getting into the center of town and the restaurants. There is a laundry very close.

This hotel is close to the center of the city. It was clean and the staff very friendly. The restaurant has a varied menu and good prices. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The bar pool was quiet and offers a happy hour between 6 and 9 PM every day. Although they were working around the pool there was only a minor disruption. Overall a pleasant experience and we would return there when we visit Merida again.
