It’s the third time I’ve stayed there in the last four years or maybe more. This has to be the best time and I’m talking about the finer details all falling into place. My room wasn’t so much as the room it was more villa outside pool more of a plunge pool, but perfect for a couple of people. Incredible views of the vineyards a decent view of Mount Aetna, but most of all it’s the individuals that I see each time I’m there the food is amazing the selection of wine very impressive and overall if you want to go and hide away in the midst of organic wine production it is a very peaceful place to go. You can find nightlife there. There’s a wonderful bar and they make the most incredible the negroni - another bar situated in front of the swimming pool which quite frankly if you’re up early enough it is one of the greatest sunrises I’ve ever seen. It has a notoriously good sunrise person speaking. I don’t want the fuss and the high-end pampering that that isn’t genuine that you can find in other high-end establishments as far as I’m concerned though the setting the people the architect the simplicity and yet five star throughout you can’t go wrong one visit will bring you back enjoy yourselves I have tremendously - Max is not gonna spell spellcheck this or read it back again cause that way you know it’s definitely not ChatGPT ha ha

We arrived around 8PM straight off a set of flights from SFO and were exhausted. We were welcomed into the bar, a beautiful, cozy room, given food and drink, and checked in there, since reception had closed. We ended up spending a couple hours chatting with another couple, the place promotes making friends. Throughout our stay the food was terrific, breakfast on the lawn above the pool was amazing, including eggs from the farm's own chickens. The service was very friendly. Antonio offered us a tour of the wine cellar, which is actually built into an ancient well and not to be missed. Gabriela, the bartender, made a very good negroni and stayed to chat, as staff often do here. The property is spread out over many acres of vineyards and over 100 fruit trees. Our building was the furthest from the central building and restaurant so it was very quiet. They provide a golf cart to get you around on the very rough and often unpaved roads of the estate but it is a bit hair-raising as the roads are bumpy and the staff drive very fast. We ended up just driving our own car around, which was slightly better, given the narrow, bumpy roads. We got lost repeatedly, but that was part of the fun as we always eventually got to the place we were going. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves beauty, great food, and terrific people.

This place is absolutely stunning! From the setting, underneath Mount Etna, to the place itself which is immersed in vineyards and olive trees! The staff is very professional and ready to meet any of our needs. The food was great and all produced at Monaci. The villa we stayed was beautiful with amazing views, an infinity pool, very private and with a very original feature, it was built around some volcanic rock! And if that wasn’t enough, I was amazed to learn that Stanley Tucci, the actor I adore, stayed in the same villa!!! I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable experience.

The location of Monaci is simply stunning. The villas are spread out providing space and tranquility. The grassy pool area with the stunning vista is so special. Finally the food is amazing as is the restaurant space, and we were lucky enough to have a private cooking class with the head chef and guided tour through the gardens / cellar. We look forward to returning in the future.

The location is amazing, on the skirts of Mt. Etna, and all the facilities, from the pool to the restaurant in the old building are amazing. We were attended to in the friendliest way by the entire staff, including a private traditional Sicilian pasta making lesson; they were all great. The view is amazing, the food was outstanding, overall an unforgettable experience in all senses.

The property was very clean and well presented, the lodges very relaxing - we booked one with its own plunge pool and deck and this was heavenly for getting some proper rest and relaxation. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. The food is very high end and a real taste experience.

This has truly been the best place we’ve ever stayed — a little piece of paradise hidden away from the noise of the city. From the street, you would never guess that climbing a small stairs would reveal such breathtaking beauty. The garden is like something out of a dream — beautifully maintained, full of fragrant flowers, palm trees, and lemon trees. The warm pool lights up in the evening along with the rest of the property, creating the most magical atmosphere. Inside, the Triskelion house, everything is tastefully designed and extremely comfortable, with attention to every detail. But what made this stay truly unforgettable were the hosts — so kind, generous, and genuinely warm-hearted. They welcomed us with a delicious spread of Sicilian treats, including Ena’s red wine and even a fully stocked fridge. Their hospitality truly touched us. You can tell this place was created with love and care. If I ever return to Sicily, I won’t even consider staying anywhere else — this experience left a lasting warmth in my heart. The views from the property are breathtaking. The host Alberto was very attentive and available to answer any queries. This villa is exceptional! The view is incredible. It is extremely private and very spacious. Alberto is a wonderful host and went out of his way to look after us - feeding us and fulfilling special requests. He also made excellent recommendations for our time in Sicily. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the hot tub was perfect. For our experience, this villa is a 10+. This house was extra difficult for us to leave! It was even a good surprise to have some workout equipment available in the home to use during the week. The location was easily accessible to Taormina and Mt. Etna - two must-see destinations close by. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough! We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Alberto!

Extremely extraordinary experience! Love this villa so much! It’s so chilled and beautiful the whole villa. The room is quite spacious even including luxurious kitchen set. The bath is also very big and with a nice jacuzzi. The swimming pool and the palm trees are incredible. It is just so holiday vibes; exactly what I need! Not just the villa itself, the host also provides exceptional immersive experience options. Integrate with the local culture. Cooking class, to learn Sicilian way of cooking from the Michelin chef. Learn the way to sense cooking as Art. It’s quite hearty experience, I really love it!! And the boat trip is just a lot of fun. It’s so cool to jump into sea from the boat. The view from the boat overlooking the sea is just too beautiful! I really had a great time and enjoy so much my stay. The only pity is I didn’t have too much time to stay longer days. Would absolutely come back again for this beautiful villa and to explore more! Highly recommended :-)

The room is really big and spacious even the bathroom is the biggest one we have in this whole trip .and more beautiful then photos .There is a jacuzzi bathtub and walk-in shower . The hosts are really considerate there is everything we need from welcome drinks ,fruit to condiments in the kitchen shower gel ,shampoo to candle . They also recommended us some local restaurants, winery nearby the villa ,we enjoy so much the gelato and street food so tasty ! Unfortunately those days weathers not so sunny we didn’t enjoy the swimming pool but still thank you so much next year we will definitely come back and stay longer ! We wish had booked this place at the beginning of our trip in Sicily. The hosts is a lovely couple the husband was a Michelin chef speak fluently English beside bnb they also organized cooking class and boat excursion We are highly recommend this place !

Great property. Very spacious. The villa is split over 3 floors, has two kitchens and two large bathrooms. The host made sure that our stay was very comfortable and checked in throughout the week to make sure that all was ok. The pool area is perfect to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The villa is located just outside Catania city area. You need to drive to all destinations. There are one or two restaurants within 10 min walk but the road is busy so not very safe. This property is a perfect destination if you are ok with driving everywhere. It is a great base to enjoy the Catania region and beyond. We had a great holiday staying in the villa and would recommend staying here if you are ok with being a drive away to all destinations.

The owners are very nice and maintain close contact. They are very hospitable and also offer tours and give recommendations for sights and restaurants. The villa is large, well air-conditioned, has good internet, a nice garden and pool and it also has parking. The area is very safe. We were able to organize the check-in and chek-out with the owners very spontaneously which made our arrival and departure much easier.

Lovely villa outside the quiet town of Piedimonte Etneo. The villa has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to children's toys. Mario and Simona (the hosts) were very welcoming and made our stay perfect in every way; transport to the supermarket, travel advice, fruit from their large garden. If we ever return to to Catania we won't be looking for other places to stay!

The Villa was very spacious and easily suited the needs of 7 adults. Very well equipped and Simona was a fantastic host. Communication was excellent and extremely helpful. There is a terrific terrace with a view along the coast to Taormina and of Etna. There are 2 outside eating areas one facing east and one west. Piedmonte is on the doorstep and Taormina 25 minutes away. The Villa is a 10 minute drive up from the autostrada. A windy road but perfectly safe and easy enough to navigate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the Villa to any group. It was also very good value.

The location was excellent with stunning views over Taomina and the straights of Messina. There were several good restaurants nearby and the local wine inexpensive and good. We thought the villa was a little expensive but very comfortable.

This was a wonderful place to spend a week with a group of friends. The house is spacious with fantastic views of Etna and the sea from the garden or while relaxing by the pool. The kitchen and utility room were well-equipped so it felt like a home from home. In terms of location, there is a great bakery and a small grocery shop about 5 minutes' walk away. We all had a wonderful experience at Maria’s beautiful villa 😊😊 Plenty of room for everyone, very good beds and linens,well equipped kitchen ,nice outside pergola where we had all our breakfasts and diner!! The owner of the villa was a friendly and helpful person. The location is just in front of the Acireale Train Station and is half an hour away from the city center where Piazza Duomo can be reached. The apartment had a combined kitchen and living room, a bathroom, one big bedroom, and another bedroom on a terrace. It was furnished with all necessities, spacious, and very well kept. It is ideal both for the winter and summer periods. In winter it feels very cozy and welcoming while for the summer period, there are two outdoor pools. I was in Acireale for the carnival nevertheless there was a tranquil atmosphere. A truly relaxing experience. Certainly, not my last experience in this villa but will be back for sure.

What can I say about our stay at casa 11 geranio other then every single part of this trip was amazing we were met very late on arrival due to our plane been delayed and nothing was to much to ask we had fruit water and wine awaiting and they even got us a reservation at John lucas which again is well worth the visit amazing food and great house wine. Now back to the house it was beautiful truly stunning the pool was lovely and the view of etna just wonderful 😍 so I don't really know what else to say other then this is a pure gem ❤️

We liked the location and the facilities. Perfect for a family get away. Close to amenities and private. Pool was great. Rooms were spacious enough and comfy.

The property is stunning - huge grounds and gardens that are lovely, and the best pool I've ever had at a villa. We had counted the 'saltwater' pool as a mark against it when booking, but you can barely tatse teh salt, it's so much better than either the sea or a chlorinated pool. This is how I would do my pool if I ever had one now. Big roomy house with lots of space. We had 13 people (nearby family) for dinner and could have fitted more around the dining table if needed. Lots of comfy sofas, outdoor chairs and sofas, pool table, table tennis, and more. For somewhere on the outskirts of a city, it was actually pretty quiet. Hosts were very helpful, and came over to sort out minor issues, even when we didn't need them to.

This Villa is Superb! Finished to high standards. It is huge so it is also ideal for a group of friends or a large family. The pool is amazing and always kept clean. You can find all the facilities.. bbq, table tennis etc. The location is a place of relaxation where you don't hear any noise pollution and you only listen to the sound of birds.

The facilities were amazing with the pool, out side kitchen and bbq, very large indoor kitchen, with a full range and more of kitchenware, coffee percolator, massive individual fridge and freezer, multiple table and chairs in and outside a basement party room with pizza open, though this area smelt very damp and the kitchen area wasn't very nice, there was a gym with various equipement, sadly the running machine wouldnt work, but u could still use the weights machine and cycle machines, free weights etc,wine cellar with wine price list to purchase, table tennis table, utility area on the the roof terrace with again an eating area ,the jacuzzi on the roof wasn't working, but they had put a temporary one down by the pool for use, all the bedrooms were very spacious, downstairs bedrooms had onsuites and upstairs was 2 big bathrooms to share, extra toilets inside near the pool and on the roof terrace. We had a few issues with the pump cutting out on the pool, but the manager/owner was easily contactable and very quick to respond and get the problem sorted. All rooms had air-conditioning.

We loved our stay! We were a large group on a three generation family trip ages 16 to 80 touring from Taormina to Enna and needed accommodations that would appeal to everyone and allow easy access to our day trip destinations. The house was clean and comfortable with all modern conveniences and many bathrooms. Air conditioning was strong throughout. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals and the pool was a welcome pleasure at the end of each day. Salvo was a great host, very responsive and even arranged delivery of some provisions. The location is in a quiet small city and you will want a car to access conveniences. Parking is easy.

The facilities are amazing, we were amazed at the value for money! The owner was more than accommodating with all the messages about taxis and offered a fair price (compared to Uber) for taking us to and from the airport. The pool was great and there is so much seating for everyone to do their own thing as well as be as a group.

The house was simply amazing 🤩 there was everything you can imagine. Great for spending time together with friends or family. We could be together but at same time, have some privacy. We loved it ! The house was absolutely amazing. It was more beautiful than the pictures. We loved the location, which was perfect for day trips to Taormina, Noto, Syracuse, and Mt Etna. Gaetano was an incredible host. He arranged a taxi from the airport for me and had great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The beds were all very comfortable, the bathrooms clean & modern, and the AC was cold.

The house and the outer spaces are absolutely fabulous. In nice wether you can sit outside on a beautiful porch and have your meals. Good location between Siracusa, Taormina and Etna. I recommend you to rent a car. When you have questions you can always contact your landlord and he will help you.

The pool is well maintained and the 3 bedrooms apartment is well equipped, spacious, comfortable and has amazing views. A great location and accommodation.. Absolutely stunning and so tranquil, we had a fabulous 2 weeks stay and would book this location again.. We could not ask for more.. Absolutely stunning.

We were fortunate to be the only visitors for 6 out of 8 days, which meant we had the pool and facilities for ourselves, which was amazing. Big apartment. Very big outside surroundings. Amazingly big and clean pool. Big terrasse with ocean view.

The hotel is a lovely old converted winery and is situated in a very large Orange/Lemon orchard in the middle of the countryside. The hotel rooms and grounds are stunning, with nice views of the Volcano/Sea and the bar/restaurant are both excellent. Breakfast is a fabulous experience and is served outside on a lovely covered area with views out to the sea. The spa is small but is nicely designed and the staff do a good job. The swimming pool and poolside areas are quite nice, although the pool wasn't heated in April, so was VERY cold. The big negatives during our stay were that the food options at lunch are VERY limited and the poolside drinks/food service weren't available. In addition, the evening food options for dinner, apart from the Michelin star restaurant, aren't sufficient for a hotel of this calibre. In addition, the hotel rooms that face the nearby railway line (Whilst large and beautiful) suffer from too much noise from the trains that pass by. Lastly, if you want to take a taxi to the nearby town (Riposto) the taxi is VERY expensive for a 10m journey and the restaurant options are limited. All in all it's a very nice place, but has some limitations that impact overall experience a little too much which is a real shame.

Very nice boutique hotel. We stayed in the pool suite. The pool was very beautiful with great view of orchards and ocean. The sauna was very. Steam shower was not working properly and shower doors kept getting stuck to open. The room gets very hot because of orientation. A/C only works if you call the lobby the controls did not work in the room. Overall nice spaciouse rooms with minor details with the shower doors and A/C

This place is AMAZING. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. We stayed 2 nights in private a garden sweet and 1 night in a room on the second floor of the casa with a private balcony. Both rooms were absolutely stunning. The pool area was amazing. The bar staff was very helpful. The restaraunt was fantastic. Great food and great service. We also called the reception to book us a tour of Mt Etna. And we had the best tour guide thanks to Zash. Onsite parking makes it easy to come and go if you bring your own vehicle. The spa is a wonderful place to relax. I highly recommend.

Elke dag werd er schoongemaakt door zeer hulpvaardige mensen. Het restaurent is inderdaad Michelin ster waardig, wat hebben we daar heerlijk gegeten. ook de roomservice en de lunch was prima voor elkaar hoewel ik vond dat er wel een iets uitgebreidere kaart mag zijn (bijvoorbeeld meer keuze wat betreft soep, antipasti oid), In de hotel villa had ik het prettig gevonden om meer stopcontacten te hebben bij het bed en bijvoorbeeld een USB -laadplek. Maar..., who is complaining in heaven....

A really stunning property; pool area, restaurant and the rooms are particular highlights. Didn't have time to try to spa but that looked amazing too. The staff (particularly Morinio (sp?) on the front desk) were incredibly friendly and helpful - couldn't do enough to help out. Expectations for the room were completely blown away by the reality - very appreciative of the upgrade to a suite in the gardens - beautifully designed and comfortable; instant relaxation. The property was just perfect for our family vacation. My only concern was that if you don’t have car then you have quite a stretch to reach the town of cefalu and buses only pass once an hour- but that has nothing to do with the property it’s self! The other slight problem for us (we had quite a particular case as my dad fell ill during our stay and had to be admitted to hospital) was that there is not a bathroom near the pool area. There are showers whichw was great and the owner was kind enough to let us stay and use the bathroom of the apartment till it was possible, other than that it was brilliant- thank you Boagio! We hope to come and stay there again in the future 🍻

Bed was fab, everything was good with us. Despite some little issues for an old building and a bit dated structure I have to say that everyone sorted out all of my issues and went above and beyond to make us feel. Comfortable. I am pregnant in this Moment and feel very sensitive to lights smells and tiny noises. The staff was so extremely kind and worried to fix anything was not at my standard. That is the thing I aorreviate the most. Thank you again to everyone. Even the director of the hotel gave us good reccomendattuons on where to eat nearby. The man working at the restaurant for breakfast made a good fresh cappuccino and there was plenty of choice, some good baked savoury cakes too!

My comments are for the 3rd floor suite. Other guests told us other rooms were small. 3rd floor suite was large with large and very usable bathroom. Also includes private outside dining area on the roof. If you are trying to decide whether to splurge for the suite, I would say it is worth it. Breakfast is mostly typical Italian but they do include eggs. Drinking water is not included. Hotel sells drinking water but you can get it at a supermarket down the street for half of hotel’s price. Town does not have a lot of attractions but it is easy to do day trips by train.

Stayed here for one night during our recent tour of Sicily. Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was nice with a balcony overlooking the small Piazza at the front of the hotel. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with toiletries and a good shower. Parking at a small car park at the hotel, which was very convenient. Easy walk to town. We ate in the hotel restaurant as we could not find anywhere open locally for dinner, which was nice, although not a great deal of choice. Good breakfast with a wide choice. Would recommend.

This hotel is one of a kind, first of all the staff are extremely caring, when we arrived the young girl at the front desk answered all our concerns and provided us also with a plug compatible with our country. the staff makes sure you feel like home. The rooms and hotel are very clean. we also liked the fresh breakfast also providing us gluten free bread and gluten and egg free biscuit. will for surely recommend and will visit again.

Our stay at Ramo d'Aria Etna Boutique Hotel was an absolute delight. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the hotel’s tasteful design, beautiful presentation, and its proximity to Mount Etna. Check-in was seamless, and we quickly made our way to the pool. The water was wonderfully warm, like stepping into a bath, and the pool itself was spacious with plenty of sun loungers for relaxation. One of the highlights was enjoying drinks by the pool while watching Mount Etna erupt in the distance – a truly unforgettable experience. Dinner that evening was equally impressive, with knowledgeable and attentive staff who expertly guided us through the menu and wine selections. The following morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in their stunning outdoor area, surrounded by the natural beauty of the setting. Ramo d'Aria exceeded our expectations in every way, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the charm of Sicily with the grandeur of Etna as a backdrop.

The hotel has a beautiful design. Gorgeous pool area with plenty of loungers and a stunning view of Mount Etna. Nice spacious bedroom & bathroom. Quite simple in style. Excellent breakfast with a surprising & ever changing selection of home-made pastries, breads & cakes. Fantastic evening dining. High quality food & wine. Attentive wait staff. Good selection of delicious poolside lunch & snack options. The hotel also helped us arrange a hassle free excursion to Mount Etna. The view of Etna at night especially when it is erupting is just breath taking! We witnessed kilometer high lava fountains. The hotel has an on-site telescope which you can borrow and set up by the pool area to get a closer look. There is also a big local restaurant close by that served excellent pizza if you want an authentic Sicilian dining experience surrounded by locals. Great buzz!

The overall setting, the size of the rooms (and the bathtub), the pool... Everything was perfect! We traveled with 2 small kids (a 3 year old and a 3 month old baby), which can be quite stressful. Everyone at Ramo D'aria made sure everything was taken care of. Furthermore, the pool is heaven on earth for small kids (large shallow area) as well as for adults who get some time to relax on the large sunbeds with an aperol in their hands.

The hotel amidst the orange and lemon orchard is a true oasis and the most gentle staff takes care of every need. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner, lunch is available also at pool side. The active Etna could be seen puffing whilst we were relaxing at the pool. We were truly impressed by the host’s hospitality.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed peaceful, restful nights throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning pool area. The property is a beautiful oasis in Riposto. It is modern with amazing features like the wall of windows in the dining area that open up completely. The finish is immaculate Antonio and his wife are justifiably proud of what they have achieved. The rooms are clean , spacious and beautifully finished. The bathroom is amazing and the shower is to die for. Most of the rooms either overlook the sea or the imposing Etna at the rear. The pool is unusual almost like a pond but equally good for swimming. It has a waterfall and jacuzzi facility. It was a joy to lie there and watch the swifts swoop down and sparrows and finches take a bath on the edge. The staff are truly amazing so friendly and helpful , nothing is too much trouble and someone is always available.

Modern hotel, spacious rooms, toilets and shower equipped with the best sanitary equipment, shower with spray facilities from all directions, modern furniture in the room, wide bed with orthopedic mattresses, incredibly clean rooms. The entrance to the hotel and the yard around it are cultivated with plants and amazing maintenance. A pleasant pool surrounded by green vegetation and palm trees, a captivating sight! The hotel staff is very kind, solves problems on the spot and is attentive to noteworthy customers. And above all, the conductor of the orchestra is the owner of the hotel, Antonio, who renovated, built and designed the hotel. Does not let go of any treatment until it is finished. I liked a lot the Hotel. The swimming pool, the bar at the swimming pool, the rooms, the bathrooms, the balconies. The most I like the staff. They were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. I liked especially Giovanni at the swimming pool bar! He was always very nice!

This hotel is 11 kms out of Catania and well located in terms of plenty of restaurants and bars along the beachfront, within a distance of about 500m. The lobby/foyer/lounge area was roomy and there was both a small number of steps and a ramp to the entrance. We stayed there for one night only (unfortunately) with a tour group. Our room was excellent, as was the bathroom, with plenty of room to move around and a balcony overlooking the pool. The room had a safe, hairdryer and air con, which was most welcome on a hot day. The pool area was very good with plenty of banana lounges, as well as a poolside bar. There was also a spa area. Breakfast was reasonable, without being great and staff were helpful. A good option.

This was an impromptu stay - We knew we wanted to visit etna but had no idea you could stay so close. The location is a short walk from the cable cars which actually was ideal to not be in the central touristic zone. We arrived a little earlier than expected but the receptionist was a MIRACLE WORKER and managed to let us in a little early - He was generally veryyy prompt in response to any questions, super friendly and also booked us a spa session where we had the entire spa area to ourselves for an hour - we were expecting basic facilities but it was wonderful calming and well finished with 2 hot saunas, a steam room, jacuzzi and relaxation room with apples galore. The hotel is set in this alien volcanic landscape which basically sits in the clouds. The internet was great and the bed was one of the most comfortable on our trip (we went for one of the nicer rooms). Great shower, delicious spread for breakfast but mainly a completely amazing location.

Corsaro Etna was a two night stay for us and we made full use of the time. The hotel is located in a fantasy dream of a landscape The drive up was as memorable as the stay as your view stretches for miles. Abundant parking, a very short walk to the tram to the mountaintop and good restaurants. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we opted for a balcony with a mountain view - good choice. It was a quiet time of the year and I am sure that added to our memories. After a day long excurson up the mountain on day two we made joyous use of the Wellness Center, keep in mind others might also be using it at the same time, check with the desk they are super helpful. Breakfast was an unbelievable display of great variey and flavors - coffee was excellent. Don't pass up this once in a lifetime chance to be "bed neighbors" with a volcano. Daniel and Linda

Everything. This is one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. The staff was so incredibly kind and informative. The spa was absolutely amazing. We experienced 2 hours of spa all to ourselves. I also forgot my necklace in the room and called the next day. They not only found it but when I went to pick it up they offered us free lunch which was delicious. The hotel is right at the base of the chair lift to Mt Etna. This hotel is simply amazing. We will be back.

Staying at this hotel on the slopes of Mount Etna was an incredible experience. The hotel is luxurious and very comfortable, with a welcoming and friendly staff. They provided excellent recommendations on places to visit and activities to enjoy, and were extremely helpful with any issues we had, no matter what we requested. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding, with everything at the highest standard. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we loved every moment of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The gentlemen at the reception were articulate, humorous and knowledgeable men, exuded great energy and were wonderful hosts. The location was fantastic as the hotel was 600m from cable car entrance and it was easy for us to do excursions . The included breakfast was great and the bar served us drinks with complementary chips. We also enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant at a special discount so it was a great choice for us. The spa was really relaxing for us after the long excursion.

Great place as a base for the East coast of Sicily (you need a car). Lots of easy free parking in the shade. Clean basic rooms with good A/C, a fridge, good showers and a comfortable bed. The pool area is really nice and clean with lots of sun loungers and plenty of shade. Breakfast was good and varied with lots of fruit, pastries, eggs/bacon, yogurt/milk/cereal, ham/cheese, etc. The restaurant has a lunch and evening menu with nice food and very reasonably priced. We probably ate there for half of our meals (in between day trips etc.) and were happy every time. The restaurant is nicely located just next to the pool with some A/C (although can get a little hot when it hits 40C). The pool bar also has good priced drinks & ice cream all day. Location is peaceful away from the local village with great views of Etna. A great little place and we'd happily return.

We had a really great stay here! The location was lovely, although as many other people mentioned, having a car is kind of necessary. The restaurant was good and there were many options to choose from (also gluten free!) Breakfast was good, maybe compared to other hotels on the smaller side, but we were happy nonetheless. The drink menu at the bar was amazing and the bartender was awesome, he made us drinks at the inside bar that were only on the pool bar menu. All the staff was super friendly, when our flight was delayed, one staff member stayed longer to check us in. The swimming pool was really nice and we spent a few days fully at the pool and bar. The room and all the common spaces were always kept clean.

It was our second visit in this hotel, hotel is very clean, international breakfast are delicious. Hotel did some improvements from last year as new tiles around pool and pool bar. Restaurant has delicious good, onky we were limited as don’t like fish, very limited meals with chicken which we prefer. But other food we have tried was great. Hotel is away from town, car is a must. Beach is 10 min away by car. There was little bit of communication barrier as staffs in restaurant on lunch time don’t speak English, but they have spoken other languages. Anyway they are very kind

Not my first time, not my last. In ideal location, nice and calm area, very near to tourist and shopping hotspots. The amneties are great, nice pool and pool bar, restaurant, you park your car near the room, locked by a metal gate and not in the road, simply great.

A beautifully restored hotel, newly opened in an idealic position between Etna and the sea. We received a very warm welcome from the owner Salvo upon arrival, no hint of irritation at the late hour of our arrival, in fact, quite the opposite, he went out of his way to make sure we were " fed and watered" and this kindness went a long way to help us relax, after our terrible ordeal at the Car Hire office in Catania. The rooms are light, fresh and airy, with simple modern furniture and extremely comfortable. Some suites and rooms are set within the main villa and some by the pool. The first have better panoramic views and the later are perhaps, more convenient for the pool. All have some outdoor space and pretty areas of garden are abundant. The pool is a salt water infinity pool and has stunning views. The vibe of the place is chic, but low key, breakfast and lunches on the terrace are typically Sicilian and as with all areas of the hotel overseen by the extremely friendly staff. I think their web site under sells the place and this is part of the charm, it gently delivers so much more than you expect, especially from a service point of view, we left feeling like members of the family that would be welcomed back and that is the mark of a really great hotel.

We booked this accommodation very spontaneously and were very warmly welcomed. We had a lovely room next to the swimming pool. The whole property is absolutely gorgeous and very well looked after. The view in the garden and the swimming pool is directly to the Enta which is amazing. When we relaxed at the pool during the day there was a nice refreshment brought to us. We also loved the dinner with a great wine selection at the accommodation as well as the breakfast. There is so much variety and also some homemade delicious cakes, honey and jams. The staff and family (evening and morning) was absolutely friendly and we had a great chat in Italian which I really enjoyed. The only thing we would have wished for were more hooks in the room to put up some clothes.

In an industry always striving to find individuality and charm, but most often under delivering. Kepos is a great example of how to get it right. Everything is meticulously crafted under its owners eye. Well done Salvatore. We loved our ten days of peace and tranquility here. The lovely pool and perfect setting for sun worshipping made it difficult to leave. When we made a few excursions out, we were always happy to come back. Freshly prepared, honest, homemade food and lovely wines were on the menu. We preferred to eat here than the restaurant next door as the kitchen focused on good quality Sicilian ingredients. Our beautiful studio by the pool was clean, quiet and well equipped for our stay. The rooms tastefully decorated and spacious. We will be back.

If you want to relax, then this is the place you must visit! All the staff were superb - we had a flight delay and arrived late at the resort, but we found Andrea still waiting for us and surprisingly they gave us a room upgrade to a suite :) He's a charming person. Then there was Daniela who prepared the delicious breakfast every day and Gianvito who served us dinner at the restaurant and drinks by the pool. I'm a food lover and Chef Alessia was "grande" - all food was super delicious, and she does the best mojitos! The ladies in charge of housekeeping kept this place and rooms really clean. Pool and garden area are tranquil and very well kept. I will surely re-visit this place.

Truly lovely facility, with a AMAZING pool & spectacular view. We spent several days by the pool & also enjoyed the balcony by the restaurant on a rainy day too. The place feels very spacious - The rooms are really big & very tasteful. We also got a massage and I have to say it was the best I ever had. So much so that I had to ask straight after if she could massage my husband too! I didn't want him to miss out!

The staff was friendly and really helpful, especially Valentina (she's a true star) and Giovanni at the reception desk. Comfortable big rooms, away from the centre, as I wanted, it was quiet and very relaxing after the long days we had. The breakfast was tasty and the variety satisfying. It was clean, rooms and all the areas of it. Personel was really polite and willing to help us find restaurants, places, info about Sicily. Our room had an amazing view of Etna! A local restaurant is right next to the hotel -2min walk, which is a plus for the hotel. I definately suggest it if you have a car.

A very convenient hotel if you have a car and a great starting point for trips to Etna, Taormina and Siracusa. Our room was spacious with big and comfortable bed. They cleaned the room every day. A great convenience was the parking space directly in front of the room. Great breakfast, great coffee and very polite staff. The hotel has beautiful plants and a wonderful view of Etna. Thank you for a comfortable and pleasant stay!

On top of that, the whole place is very charming, and the outdoor breakfast area shows how much attention to detail they put into everything. The spa is also a highlight, offering several different areas to enjoy. The staff were amazing and attentive, always very friendly and ready to help. I asked if they would do a cake for my partner’s birthday and they did. The food at the restaurant is delicious, and the hotel’s pool makes the place even more perfect.

We had a great stay. The rooms were spacious and beautifully kept, with a nice view. The pool was a real highlight, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Spa was also nice. The location is ideal for visiting Mount Etna, with easy access and breathtaking scenery all around. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations for local restaurants and tips on how best to experience Etna. Great breakfast. Free, but limited, parking spaces. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway!

There's a panoramic view of the local town where you dine for breakfast, its beautiful. And the breakfast buffet is spot on, with cereals, fruits, yoghurts, ham (hot and cold), cheeses and cooked eggs, pastries and juices. Its all you need. Spa is lovely - didn't matter that outside pools were closed as plenty to do inside. Lots of free parking on and off the premises. Really enjoyed our stay here.

We had an exceptional experience at Hotel Lachea in Acitrezza, just north of Catania! The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and impeccably clean, equipped with a fridge and air conditioning. I highly recommend opting for a room with a sea view – the scenery is absolutely stunning and well worth the extra cost. The breakfast was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. Drove past the entrance on arrival and had to take a detour to get back to it but once we arrived what a lovely surprise. The hotel staff are lovely. Our rooms both had French doors that led out onto the garden which was a nice place to gather and have a drink in the evening. The hotel is situated next to a busy road and railway line but we did not notice any excessive noise. We ate in the restaurant a couple nights and would also recommend this. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate although the boiled egg cooker took some getting used to! Swimming pool area was nice and the pool although not heated was nice a the end of a day sightseeing.

Great hotel, lovely little pool, comfortable bed, wonderful tasty breakfast with lots of variety including the most amazing cassata & scrambled eggs. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. One staff member suggested the train into Catania rather than driving & kindly printed off the timetable then took us up to the staff gate so that we were closer to the railway station & we didn't have to walk all the way around up a steep hill, wonderful service, the train was great too, 11mins into Catania for €3.50 per person. They also let us stay by the pool after check out as we had a few hours until our next check in Ragusa, lovely. Thank you for having us.

The Santa Caterina is a lovely hotel but there is not a lot going on in Acireale. Use it as a base if you hire a car. There are virtually no trains or bus services and taxis are expensive. Acireale has no restaurants of note that we found so you'll be eating in the hotel most nights. Not a bad thing as the food was good. Service was a little erratic. We ate in the restaurant 4 times, twice we were served bread with our meal, twice they clean forgot. And when you ask for a glass of wine and a Sprite, you expect the latter to be served in a glass, not handed the can! When we asked for a glass and some ice, the waiter reached over to another table, took a glass from there, then fetched some ice from the bar which was brought to us in a bowl. We only needed a few ices cubes in a glass, not half a freezers worth!! Our stay was marred slightly on the last day. We were due to fly out of Sicily in the evening, so asked if we could use a room later in the day to freshen up i.e. spend the afternoon by the pool and then use a room for 30 minutes before we got a taxi to the airport, They refused our request stating the hotel was full, when quite clearly it wasn't. You could see 3 rows of keys lined up behind reception and no one checked into the room we had used. We had to take a cold shower by the pool and use the toilet to get changed. Simply not good service if you're claiming to be a 4 star hotel. You should not treat guests in that way for such a simple request.

We stayed for nine nights in June 2013. The service and facilities were great, and it has the best restaurant in Acireale - lots of locals in each evening as well as hotel guests. The food is superb, and reasonably priced. There is a lovely pool with plenty of shade and sun and the rooms have effective and quiet air conditioning. Our room had a fridge and safe. We chose to stay here rather than Taormina (for price and because it was a quieter location) and did not regret our decision. Acireale is a hidden gem, and surprisingly untouristy. The slight compromise is that the hotel is sandwiched between the railway line and a road. Neither are overly noisy or busy and if you live in a city you will barely notice them. We do, and didn't feel that our enjoyment was encroached upon at all. The town centre is 5-10 mins stroll away and the hotel towards the bottom of the hill. The incline is relatively gentle, apart from one short section, which is quite steep and would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. All in all, highly recommended.

The hotel location is a good base to explore Sicily although a hire car is recommended but this would be the case wherever you choose to stay. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the sea and the dining area is stunning. The rooms are spacious, stylish and very clean. We had a very pleasant patio area for ourselves. The breakfasts are very good with a good selection of fruits, breads yoghurts, pastries etc and if you choose to stay for evening meals the food and wine is excellent. The hotel staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. We had a couple of issues with our hire car while we were there and they assisted us in any way they could. The pool area is also in a great position and is very clean and attractive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area; in fact I would say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Located at 1,910 meters above sea level, this mountain lodge can be more than just a pit stop. There are different types of rooms where one can stay and we choose the one with a private bathroom and a terrace. It was very comfortable, cozy and clean. We even had all the amenities by which I was honestly surprise. After our evening arrival we enjoyed locally produced wine and dinner and then we could soak up the views of Catania being lighten up below us. The next morning started by waking up to incredibly beautiful sunrise. We enjoyed our breakfast, fueled up the energy before kicking off this hike. Whether you decide to stay overnight here or come in the morning, your trip to MOUNT ETNA starts here at ETNA SOUTH. From Rifugio Sapienza, we took the cable car that whisks you up to 2,500 meters. It’s like entering another world – the lush greenery gives way to vast fields of black lava rock.

My husband and I are spending one night in Mount Edna, Sicily. The hotel recommended this place for us and even made the reservations in advance. I was concerned but appreciative of the foresight. We walked in around 8 PM and it was very quiet which also made me wondered about the experience we were about to encounter. By 9PM the place was full (and a bit loud) and the food plates were flying by. I will summarize it by saying the whole experience was amazing! The food was phenomenal, and the service kept right along in the same category. We had a margarita pizza and a salad to star, followed by a pork Filetto, and straccato along with French fries, and of course a bottle of wine. 😜. Now as for the dessert (of course we had to have one), we had an amazing pistachio and chocolate soufflé. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place!

Staying at Rifugio Sapienza was a truly memorable experience. The location is unbeatable — right at the foot of Mount Etna, with breathtaking views and direct access to the cable car and hiking trails. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking something different from the usual hotel stay. The room was comfortable and clean, with everything I needed after a day exploring the volcano. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant served great local food. Definitely worth it for anyone visiting Etna!

This place is kept tip top; whilst modernization covered the premises lately, it still feels very warm and very traditional. It is not a luxury resort so forget certain pampering but if you're looking for a very sweet and warm getaway whilst still feeling very comfortable, this is it. Cleanliness was excellent. Room temperature was perfect. Quiet. The staff was really friendly with everything. The food at the restaurant was simply addictive. An absolute value for money stay!

Location is unique (you are on an active volcano after all!), views are astounding, breakfast was abundant and exceptionally good with great pastries. Above all, the care, attention and assistance (especially when I needed to move my car parked in the hotel's private car park, but could not because two other vans were blocking me) was timely and helpful indeed.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a fantastic experience overall. The location is perfect, as it's right next to the beach, allowing easy access to the beautiful coastline. The hotel is well-maintained and exceptionally clean, which made my stay even more comfortable. One of the highlights was the swimming pool area. There’s a large pool for adults and a separate pool for kids, which is perfect for families. Both pools were clean and well-maintained, providing a refreshing escape from the heat. There's even a tennis court available to guests for free. The on-site restaurant was also impressive. The food was tasty, with a variety of options to choose from. The prices were reasonable, making it a great value for money. Overall, this hotel offers excellent amenities and a prime location at a great price. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway!

We stayed for just one night in October, and even though we didn’t get to enjoy the beach or pool, you could tell both were lovely, especially the large pool. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. We’d definitely come back in the summer!

The hotel is really lovely. Our stay didn't start off very well as when we arrived there were 2 other very large families trying to check-in before us and only 1 receptionist. It took us over an hour to check in. Our check-in process in itself was quite efficient. Once we got to the room we could not switch on the light so we ask reception for help and they sent someone immediately. The rooms are clean, bright, have black-out curtains, a stocked minibar, a nice bathroom and space to work. bed is comfortable. The restaurant offers a very good dinner, with lots of choice, breakfast also offers a wide variety of choice. The pool is lovely and it's nice to spend some time there in the summer.

I recently had a delightful stay at Grand Hotel Villa Atria. The room was perfect, equipped with reliable WiFi and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The pool area was nice, providing a great place to relax. The breakfast was also nice, offering a good choice of options to start the day right. Additionally, the hotel offers ample parking, which was very convenient. Highly recommended!

The only issue we had was parking as they have alot of the local community using there pool in the day and functions at night and they parked coaches in the car park.

The room was spacious and very clean. The property and location were also great. The staff was pleasant. Didn't have an opportunity to try the dining room, lounge or the pool. It was great having breakfast available every morning. There was a lot of options, pastries, fresh fruit etc.

This hotel was a wonderful experience for us! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms were lovely and the pool was great. Super choice for breakfast and it was delicious. The hotel staff were fantastic - especially the ladies on reception and Francesco! They tolerated our awful attempts at speaking Italian and helped us to arrange taxis and trips out. The gentleman on night duty was a little more short tempered but the language barrier could have contributed to this. The hotel is on the outskirts of Catania - it cost 70 euro from the airport but then the taxi arranged by the hotel only cost 40 euro. There is a pizza cafe at the end of the drive - 2 minutes away. The only thing I would change is that we were on the ground floor and we could not see the pool! Ask for a higher floor if you would like to see the pool! Thank you for our stay!

Decided to splash out and spend a night in a better hotel having already paid for 3 nights in a different hotel which we did not like. The main reason was the pool. Sadly when we arrived the pool was not open, and would not be until May. I really think this should be explained prior to booking as the main photos are the pool. The hotel itself is nice, rooms lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was fab, including eggs and bacon. Nice bar- and from which nice snack sandwiches. Not walkable- up a massive hill, but loads of parking. We spotted a few restaurants behind the hotel, but didn’t try them as had sandwiches at the bar, following a large lunch earlier at the harbour. The castle is well worth a visit. Lovely area.

We had a fabulous stay at The President Park Hotel. The rooms (we stayed in the deluxe) were stylish,spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. All of the staff were extremely friendly,kind and helpful especially Marco,Daniella,Errena,Rosie and the gentleman with the little beard. Having a lifeguard at the pool was great and Lily was fabulous at her job trying to make sure everyone had a sunbed and sunshade. The breakfast was plentiful and the dining room team were so efficient and happy to help in any way as were the pool bar team. The housekeeping team made sure our room was immaculate before and during our stay. The grounds and hotel were well maintained and everyone was friendly and polite. We only used the shuttle bus twice (as we had a car) but it was a useful and reliable service which was complimentary. Thank you for making our stay so special.

A modern resort-style hotel overlooking the sea from a high point beyond Catania with spectacular views, nice pool and poolside bar, excellent selection of gins and single malt scotch, superior service and extremely quiet room with lots of English language TV channels. 20 mins to airport or train station and not close to main district of Catania, but a true quality experience.

Beautiful relaxed setting Staff were super friendly and met our every need so thank you. Very comfortable bed and powerful shower, good air con. Lovely pool area, even a pool party with dj on Saturday. Lovely comfortable Amazing food on site and incredibly breakfast included daily.

A truly wonderful experience with amazing staff who all had great advice for trips and restaurants. With only 15 rooms, the hotel felt intimate, romantic and very exclusive. The grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was fabulous and our room was both stylish and very classy. The shower was very good and we had a balcony were we could sit in the evening with a room service meal which was delicious. The main restaurant had a taster and a la carte menu which was also fantastic. I cannot recommend this enough, you will not be disappointed.

I could wax lyrically about these three aspects alone but to wake to cyclists and motorcyclists returning from early morning ascents via the incredible winding roads, strewn with years worth of lava flows. Then to be met with friendly service from all the staff whilst breakfasting makes for a very pleasant start to your day. The room we had was very clean, spacious, cool ( during 40° heatwave) and comfortable. The staff and guests alike all seemed very cheerful. If in doubt?.......do! We loved it and will definitely return but with our motorbike next time!

This property was a great find for exploring Mount Etna. The room was basic but clean and soon soon felt like home after emptying your suitcase! Travelling with two teenage boys, we had a quadruple room and a view of Mount Etna from our balcony. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had dinner on the roof top terrace and the food was excellent! We stayed for three nights and also ate at another excellent pizzeria 5 minutes walk away. Parking is limited but we always found a space opposite the hotel. This hotel is a great base for exploring Mount Etna.

Ingen plagsomme turister som overfyller gatene. De kan lite engelse, så hyppig bruk av Google Translate er et must. Experia burdre informere om at avstander er oppgitt i luftlinje, og at området Milo (som består av hyggelige, jordnære italienere) mangler god kollektivtransport og taxi tjenester. Selv Uber er nesten steds fraværende. Her må man ha egen bil, både til og fra hotellet, men for å komme seg til strandene og for å komme seg på butikker

The staff were so friendly, helpful and relaxed. We planned to be earlier but got distracted enroute. This was not a problem as we kept intouch via text. The meal was wonderful and local wine just lovely. Kids were made so welcome! Our son is called Milo, so he was particularly excited! The terrace on the roof for our drinks and dinner, with view of Etna was superb ... Our room also had Etna view. Good to chat with other guest as we all shared volcano interests!

A modern and comfortable hotel with great views of Mount Etna in some of the rooms. A quick drive or 10 minute walk to the town centre of Milo, where there are restaurants, cafes and shops. There is limited parking out the front of the hotel but we were lucky and parked opposite the hotel. The staff were friendly and offer a special price at the on-site restaurant/wine bar. We paid a last minute discounted rate so it was great value for money.

The location and the views are incredible. Our room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. We also had a display from Mount Etna at night. Located on the coast of the Ionian Sea, Aci Trezza has a long history of maritime activity. Aci Trezza is a popular spot for Italian vacationers who come to view the rocks rising out of the Ionian Sea. We were ensconced in the Grand Hotel Faraglioni with a perfect view of the pool and rock stacks (faraglioli) from our room. It's always time to enjoy an Aperol Spritz on the deck by the pool or the patio area by the front entrance. The service was impeccable.

The hotel is right on the water and boasts incredible views - well we obviously had the worse room in the hotel - the view was of an alley and someone's kitchen across the alley. Unfortunately it was all they had - even though we had booked 3 months in advance. Other reviews said there was a pool, we were disappointed that there was no pool but found the lido to be even better so no loss on that one. The Terrace lounge is phenomenal so make sure to enjoy cocktails and dinner. We made up for the lack of view in our room by enjoying the view from the Terrace. Location is great; easy walking to lots of other restaurants. I made the walk to the castle though it was a bit far but doable for this senior citizen. Staff is helpful and made all our taxi arrangements for us. They didn't tell us their was an included breakfast buffet in the restaurant next door so we missed it the first day - but it was great.

Location was perfect! Even moved hotels for a pool and came back just to have a drink at the bar again which is great to sunset. Breakfast was nice even though we didn't have long to eat before the Etna trip. Room was great, spacious and nice sea view.

This was both mine and my friends first time in Sicily so we had no idea what to expect. But what a delightful surprise this hotel was. The staff were all incredibly friendly, super helpful and always went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We had drinks nearly every night at the beautiful terrace bar which has an amazing view over the ocean and on our last night, we had dinner there as well which was fantastic! There was live music and the food was incredible! The room was lovely. We had two single beds in a room that over looked the bar next door and the ocean so we were very lucky. Being that close to the bar next door was a concern but the noise wasnt bad at all, we slept well every night! Plenty of space in our room, bathroom was nice and plenty of wardrobe space. My only suggestion would be to have some chairs out on the balcony so people can soak in that view!! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

My husband and I can not praise this hotel and staff enough! From the moment with checked in with Fransico we knew we were in good hands. Our delux sea view room was wonderful, clean, comfy linens and fabulous views! The first nite when we returned to our room a pretty glass dome covered dish holding cookies was left on the table. Salvo served us our coffee and pastry in the morning down stairs graciously. He was a delight as well as Geovanni at the Lido across the street. He was always willing to ensure we had what we needed when we lounged under the umbrellas with big towels that he had set out early for the guest. We also noticed that staff cleaned not only our rooms very well but the entire property was cleaned every morning. This was especially noted after we had spent a couple of days in AciTrezza and could not help but notice that not all property owners take pride in keeping properties clean. Additionally, everything we ate or drank in the restaurants was excellent and presented nicely.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Galati. Our apartment was beautifully clean and tidy on arrival, comfortable, well equipped, and, being air conditioned, was cool when we needed to escape the midday sun! Despite a late arrival, we were given an informative welcome and tour of our accommodation as well as important info about the pool, etc! We particularly loved our balcony overlooking the pool and affording superb views of Mount Etna. The pool and grounds were exceptionally clean and well presented. Our request to stay after the agreed checkout time was quickly agreed upon, allowing us to make the most of our last day before returning to the airport. Queries sent before our arrival were swiftly answered. Thank you, we would happily recommend Villa Galati and would love a return visit!

The large terrace/balcony on the first floor and the pool. All so clean and well cared for. The mature olive trees and palm trees around the pool provides perfect mottled shade when needed during the day. Imaclately clean. Just right

Spotless apartment, nicely refurbished with new furniture. Great, clean, large pool. The apartment is very close to the beach. And of course, the breathtaking Etna view from our large terrace. The garden is very nice with olive and lemon trees. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed for home cooking. We were allowed to pick some lemons from the trees, which was very nice, the kids loved it, and the fruit was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much and we would gladly come again.

The accommodation is exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful stay here, the hosts were kind and helpful in every way. Clean and tidy everywhere inside the enclosed area. The parking is secure and enclosed. Rooms are clean, facilities are ok for self catering. The pool is fantastic. A few minutes walk to shops, cafes, restaurants. You can have a perfect view to Etna every morning. We can only recommend.

Our room was elegantly designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. We indulged in the serene spa and dined at the exquisite in-house restaurant, where every dish was a culinary delight. The highlight was undoubtedly the artisan pizza crafted by master pizzaiolo Carciotto Luciano, a true gourmet experience. A flawless and indulgent stay from start to finish. And the perfect base for visiting the Etna.

I had a very nice stay. The property was very clean and well-maintained. All the staff were friendly and professional, especially the receptionist Nadir, who was extremely helpful. The pizza was delicious, and the waitresses were all so welcoming. The rooms were spotless, and the owner was very kind and approachable. I overall enjoyed my time here and will definitely be returning.

The whole team of staff were incredible from the moment we arrived all the way until we left. They were always on hand to help, answer any questions and give recommendations whenever we needed. The hotel itself is very modern, has a chic design and has the best pizza on offer!

After the crowds and chaos of Taormina, Cefalu, Ortigia and Palermo, our stay at the Hotel Primavera was wonderfully calm. The location on the eastern slope of Etna gave us an amazing view of the Ionian Sea. The staff was wonderful and attended to our every need, even packing us to-go meals as we missed breakfast because of an early flight! And the hotel restaurant was a gem, with outstanding meals each night we dined. I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Primavera Dell'Etna. Not only is it easy on the wallet (look for online booking deals!) but the views and food made the stay memorable. Goditi il tuo soggiorno!

Best location for exploring the volcano and its surrounding villages. Quick and friendly check-in, lovely dining experience, all while admiring the best views possible. Catania sprawling out under your feet in all its splendor. Free parking is available right outside the property, and rooms and facilities instill the feeling of a 4 star rather than a 3 star hotel. Highly recommended in all and every way.

We had a room with a view. In the morning it was so beautiful the sun coming up and the building shining like stars with the dew. The bed was big and comftable and the bathroom was spacious. We will be back for sure. The breakfast was very good and they have a terrace for summer

It's a very quirky hotel, overlooked by the brooding volcano behind. The atmosphere owes a lot to the history of the site, upcycling and exhibiting machinery and objects used there. There are a variety of room types, and we were in a ground floor room by the pool. The breakfast was continental supplemented by local produce and bakeries, especially the home made jams and yogurts! The pool area was clean and well kept. Plenty of sunbeds and a covered lounge area, with an afternoon pool bar. Giarre itself is a 20 minute walk with a good rail link. The local village is unremarkable with few bars and eateries. It was a good location as a base for exploring Etna and surrounding locations. Having a car or driver, or being part of a travelling group adds to the value of this gem of a hotel.

Stayed here for two nights to visit Etna. Lovely old manor house with good pool area and views of Etna. Organised day trip, thorough the hotel, to Etna with Etna Trouvatura and had a brilliant day. Enjoyed the pool. Not sure it is the kind of place to stay in for a week though as nowhere to wander out for a meal, apart from the lovely restaurant next door. If you book, ask for a room with a pool view- they also have a little seating area outside where you can sit in the evening, and look towards Etna.

Hotel Etna is a perfect base to explore the eastern side of Sicily with the slightly northern town of Taormina's castle ruins, delicate streets and spectacular views within a 10 minute car ride, with easy parking costing just a couple of euro's. Further south from Giarre, around a 30 minute drive is the town of Siracusa which makes for a brilliant day out! For ten euro's per adult (and free parking!!), you gain entry to wander around old ampitheatre's and ruins, fountains and lush gardens with small stalls around selling tourist bits. The town of Giarre itself has small cobbled streets with a random selection of shopping, good for half a day out followed by relaxing at the hotel pool, which has spectacular views (and sounds) of Mount Etna. The hotel was perfect as well, large clean rooms with large bathrooms and a fully stocked fridge every day (the prices for drinks match those of the nearby garage). Breakfast was always very fresh with italian coffee made to order. The pool had plenty of sun loungers, and a lovely shaded area to eat lunch (Id recommend the hotels "Piadina" for lunch!) Dinner at the hotels restaurant was slightly on the expensive side but was well worth it due to how fresh and well cooked it all was. Did take some time for the food to arrive but if you want quality, you have to wait for it to be cooked. The staff couldnt do enough for you and Id recommend the Etna tour as the guide was brilliant! Definately stay at the Hotel Etna!!!

This hotel was pure perfection. 3 kid, my wife and I, were there for 10 days in July 2025. The hotel is visually beautiful, the pool was so clean and well kept. The service for dinners was high end restaurant style and the staff were amazing. From reception staff who go above and beyond for any requests you have, to the cleaners who work hard, do an amazing job and always have a smile and a "bonjourno" in the passing. Last but not least, the taxi service they call for you were also amazing. Father and 2 sons run one 7 seater taxi, and we ended up using them daily via their personal WhatsApp. 2 of our kids have slight autism and struggle with noisy crowds. This hotel doesn't have a huge amount of rooms. So the numbers were low and the type of guests were respectable and easy going people. It made a big difference for us around the pool and obviously through the night for sleeping. To top it all off, we had a famous volcano as a backdrop. We loved you, Etna Hotel, and we will be back.

Hotel Etna is a lovely oasis in the middle of 'sort of nowhere'. I chose the hotel because it wasn't in a touristy area but I didn't realise just how bad the public transport in Sicily was going to be. Nor how expensive taxis are. I felt rather frustrated and trapped half of the time because I couldn't just hop on a bus/train. If I had my time again I would definitely hire a car. Some reviews have mentioned a bad breakfast / restaurant experience but don't listen to them - Hotel Etna breakfast has a wonderful variety of fresh food. And the adjoining restaurant is lovely and relaxed with a good menu and wine list. The swordfish with almond crust was particularly good. I found the hotel room very comfortable and clean and wi-fi was a huge bonus - esp as I was at war with British Airways for losing my luggage, so being online, for free, was a huge relief. Finally, the pool area was well maintained and the pool itself clean despite the many children and amount of sunscreen no doubt that ends up in it.

Small hotel with friendly helpful staff. Restaurant was very nice and rooms comfortable and clean. The only downside would be location. railway station was not close enough,and having to walk there in the heat was very hard. Taxi service does not exist so when you need one hotel organises one with a hefty price.

The rooms were clean, functional and as described. The value for money is great. The shared balcony is a fantastic area to relax and enjoy the view of the ocean. The location was fantastic. We loved the included breakfast and coffee each morning, as well as the option to hire bikes to get around. The restaurant also offers a fabulous view of the Fondachello ocean and has phenomenal food, especially the pasta and bruschetta. When we return to Sicily we will be staying again.

The hospitality of the owners and the great friendliness of the staff, and the delicious food in the restaurant. During our stay, the train was on strike, so the hotel owner drove us to Taormina in his car. I recommend this property for the views, the food, and the kindness of the staff.

Attention was fantastic: very helpfull and kind staff. One morning we couldn't have breakfast because we were leaving early and they prepared a packed breakfast for us. Rooms were good and breakfast with really tasty products. There is also a restaurant, excellent fresh fish dishes! Huge parking available.

The hotel has an impressive location with a wonderful outside pool area and access to the sea via stairs falling directly into the sea (overseen by lifeguard). Rooms are a bit tired but perfectly functional considering the time you would spend in them (mini fridge and safe). Free parking and excellent free wifi. The outdoor pool and multiple sun deck areas flows into the multiple restaurants/bars making the most of the sea view. Easy walk into town if you want to try the local restaurants specialising in fresh fish. Reception were happy to let me continue to ise services post checkout and offered to extend my checkout time.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel der gehobenen Kategorie. Super Pool und Zugang zum Meer. Frühstücksraum im fünften Stock mit genialen Ausblick aufs Meer. Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon war Top. Das hoteleigene Restaurant machte einen sehr guten Eindruck. (leider nicht genutzt). Nächst gelegene Restaurants ca. 10 Minute zu Fuß entfernt. Check in und Check out kompetent und zügig. Waren früher da und konnten aber gleich an den Pool. Parken problemlos auf dem Hotelgelände.

The hotel is beautifully appointed with an infinity pool and landscaped grounds with a very well designed terrace. The entrance,common areas and restaurants are very good and food quality excellent. Unfortunately because of the size of hotel it is used for conferences/package tours from France and UK and weddings. If you enjoy people watching this is great, especially the weddings but it can get a little crowded at times and the terrace is dismantled for events. The 2 days the hotel did not have events were bliss and during the day it can be quiet if no conferences and weddings. I am sure this was high season for weddings-we had zero rainfall in a week and 3 weddings. This is an excellent location for touring to many spectacular east and south coast sites and climbing Etna. Just choose your season well. Also we asked for a room with 2 queen beds and were given twins. We still had a good time but it took the edge of it and reduced comfort levels.

Good restaurant for dinner for a very convenient fixed price per person for hotel guests. Complete complimentary breakfast. Large well decorated lounge with possibility of use of private meeting rooms.Staff has always been very helpful giving suggestions about trips and conveniences such as where can I get good fruit. Order in pizza, etc. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Beds are firm. Shower is a little bit tight but has an abundant flow of hot water. Quiet area without intrusive traffic sound. I came to stay three days and ended up staying in the hotel for six days.

So special and warm people with great attitude and friendly , the food it was really good and wine ofcourse , I will be back soon on June 2016 to have more expreance there , please make sure rent a car there because definitely you need car to check the city

Ares Hotel was a perfect jumping off place for our trip around Sicily. Very easy to get to Mount Etna the next day. The staff was very helpful. Nice dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Our room was amazing with a view to Ionian Sea. In the area there is a great pool. As you are near the pool and look towards the east you can see the Ionian Sea and as you turn around you can see Etna. About the view to Etna I have to say it's the best viewpoint to Etna that we experienced during our stay in Sicily (perfect distance to see the form, but not too far). The area of the Villa is amazing and walking along the beautiful path in garden is what relaxation is about. Hosts were hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was superb, with fresh blood orange juice, warm bread and much more. In our room we had great bathroom and good amount of space, plus we would like to highlight comfortable mattress and pillows. One thing that we regret is that we booked it only for one night!

Me and my parents stayed only one night there but we wish we stayed longer. It’s the bestest of the bestest, from the host to the pool to the location! We received the warmest welcome and discount for the restaurants and cable car. Breakfast was the best, needless to say the pool! Would definitely come back and recommend to everyone without hesitation!

Nestled deep in the mountains, where the majestic beauty of Mount Etna commands your attention, this hidden gem was the perfect base for our adventures. We explored Mount Etna, Catania, and Taormina, and although we clocked some mileage, the scenic drives made the journey fly by. The hotel itself is surrounded by extensive land filled with lush fruit trees—lemons, pomegranates, apples—and even boasts a charming mini vineyard. The property is alive with the natural sounds of chickens and ducks, creating an atmosphere of pure tranquility. What truly set this experience apart was the owner, who was always on hand, offering warm hospitality and making sure our stay was perfect. We even bought a bottle of his homemade wine from the vineyard for just €10, and it was absolutely exquisite. Breakfast was outstanding, with fresh eggs and sweet croissants, along with a continental spread. The fresh blood orange juice was a real treat, and the cappuccinos and espressos were of barista quality. The swimming pool, though not Olympic-sized, was more than big enough for a relaxing dip, offering the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The rooms were spotless, with fresh bed sheets provided daily, adding to the comfort of our stay. This place offers a slice of paradise with a personal touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The best part? It’s at a fraction of the hotels. Highly recommended!

This wonderful B&B was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. We were in the separate apartment called Aranciu and it was very spacious with a kitchenette and two outdoor seating areas. The expansive property could not be more beautiful or peaceful- with vineyards, olive groves and multiple fruit trees. We could see Mt Etna. Breakfast was plentiful with a slight change in the offerings every day. Key to the greatness of the stay was the energetic and friendly host Giovanni who helped us with info on sightseeing, cooking classes and day trips. His english was perfect. The pool was also beautiful if a little cold in October. This felt like a very authentic experience where we could relax comfortably and sit in the many outdoor spaces to enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the view to the sea- which was maybe 5 miles away. The views were incredible- at sunrise and sunset. Easy day trip to Mt Etna and Taormina. Highly recommend!!!

Different to other places, here you are not harassed to leave a positive rating, the high rating is real and deserved. The service is unlike anything else I have experienced so far. The hosts are incredibly friendly, there is always someone around to take care of you and your questions. More importantly, it's not like the hosts are lingering around you like in other places, instead, you have a very private atmosphere and it only takes one WhatsApp for someone to bring you a drink to the pool, advise you on the best restaurant nearby, or simply recommend you a beach for the afternoon. When spending time at the pool, you have a view on Etna on the one side, and you see the Ocean or Taormina on the other, it's truly beautiful! The rooms are very modern, everything works, we weren't missing literally anything. And I am sure, if something would have been missing, the hosts would have helped you in a split second. It is also a perfect starting point for visiting the different places on the Island. Yes, you need a car, but being honest, visiting Sicily you need a car anyways. We consider ourselves lucky to have found this accommodation, we are highly recommending it to anyone and we hope to come back one day ourselves. Consider this place as a true gem!! Absolutely fabulous accommodation. By far the best we had in Sicily. In 14 days we had an accommodation adventure in Sicily, but at this property everything is top notch with extremely high standards and only positive, pleasant surprises. The property is large, beautiful and really quiet, the facilities are new and exceptionally well maintained with great attention to detail. The place simply invites you to relax between lemon trees and palm trees in the pool or in the whirlpool, in good weather even with a view of Mount Etna (you even see eruptions from there). Our flat was very spacious, equipped with everything you need and clean. The welcome from the owner Lella was warm and simply fantastic, we immediately felt at home. We liked it so much that we extended our stay for another night. We were very well looked after by Lella and the staff, we wanted for nothing. The hospitality at this place is simply incredible. They speak English and even German. The breakfast is very varied and absolutely delicious, especially the coffee. And you can have fresh lemons and kumquats. Thanks also to Fausto for the great care, the recipe ideas and the picked fruit. All in all, this place is 100% recommended and we look forward to coming here again.

Virdamuri Etna Country Resort is the perfect base for exploring both Mount Etna and the Taormina area. From the moment we arrived, we were met with the warmest hospitality (even at Sicilian standards) — every single person working there was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The resort itself is stunning: a beautifully kept garden, a pool and jacuzzi with breathtaking views to mountain Etna and the sea,, and greenery (including lemon and orange trees) that makes the whole place feel like a private oasis. The living spaces are stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. Some parts of the resort are still under development, but this was never an issue for us — in fact, we are excited to see how this already wonderful place will become even better in the future.
