We had 5 nights here after exploring wonderful Borneo . When you arrive you are struck by the beautiful beach … totally uncommercial, just tranquillity. We were eventually taken by buggy to our deluxe room . This was not what we expected…. It was at the top of the canopy with about 40 plus steps to access the room…no view & huge trek to get to the beach or pool. We asked to change rooms - Carl the manager told us our agent was to blame as we should have been informed? But I can’t see on the website anything about access & steps ? All the lower level rooms were not available, only the beach front plunge pool villa . For £80 per night extra we took this . My advice book this beforehand! You’d get a better deal ! Otherwise make sure your room is low level for easy accessibility. We could have early morning swims / walks along the beach 2 seconds from the room. Restaurant staff are wonderful…..as are all the other employees.Huge thank you to all . Thank you also to the Chef who prepared me 2 delicious curries ! Put them on the menu ! Negative has to be the sandflies……… even when using the oily repellent they still nibbled us . It’s a beautiful escape island for a few days .

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location. Food and cocktails were great and reasonably priced compared to other 5 star hotels in Borneo. We stayed in the two bedroom villa (no 38) which had the best view and quick access to the pool and beach. We were worried after reading the reviews but were not impacted by the sandlflies as we were very careful to put on lotion etc. There were monkeys around the hotel but the staff kept them away from the pool/ restaurant areas and they didn't impact our holiday - except for having to keep the bedroom door shut all the time. Would really recommend this hotel - a truly memorable stay.

We stayed 6 nights with the sole intent of relaxing, which we duly achieved. The resort is in a picturesque and secluded cove with a brilliant beach and clean and clear water. There is a decent pool, great service two restaurants with a varied selection of decent food and a good spa for a range of treatments. The resort was also very quiet. We weren't interested in any activities beyond sitting on the beach of by the pool but there were numerous options.

We loved our stay at Bunga Raya! Our room was spectacular and had a fabulous view and very private. The food was excellent and staff so helpful and friendly- they could not do enough for us. The pool and beach were also beautiful. We had no issues with sand flies or monkeys- the staff were watching for monkeys and we sat by the pool not on the sand so I was perfect for us. We will be back😊

As a family of four we were very impressed with the villas. We booked a deluxe villa which had a separate room where the children (pre-teens) could sleep - we had to pay for one extra bed. The space itself was fantastic, with a huge bed, TV's in both rooms, great stereo system, complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks were added bonus. Some mold patches in the bathroom - but then it is a tropical climate! View from the bath incredible - very private too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in all areas and should be commended. The food was superb, although slow to get to your table, reasonably priced. We ended up staying at the resort to eat since we preffered the menu at Bunga Raya, although you can go to Gayana. Don't be afraid to ask for something - particularly if you have children, the staff were willing to provide alternatives if they could. I was impressed with touches such as making sure food and plates were covered to prevent insects in the rooms, biscuits at bedtime etc. The pool was lovely, not enough beach towels readily available. Great activities if you want - with free use of most of the water sports equipment. Lovely beach and the staff try to keep it clean (not an easy task during monsoon season). We went snorkelling, 'sumo' surfing, kayaking. Other activities - canopy walk, 'Fying Squirrel' (zip line), jungle trek. Excellent spa. Off site - we enjoyed the marine centre at Gayana and the oranguatan centre at Shangri La, Rasa Ria.

Love the private pool, bathtub, kitchen & the sea view. My kids were so happy.

What I love the most is that it has a private pool, jacuzzi, kitchen, fridge, and stove—perfect for families with kids! Netflix is also accessible with a valid account.

Borneo Beach Villas is the perfect getaway for travellers who want the peace and tranquility of a beach hideaway whilst still having easy access to Kota Kinabalu centre. The pool villa we stayed in was amazing. Located right next to the beach, a morning dip in the sea was a big favourite whilst our own private pool was perfect to escape the heat of the afternoon. My wife and children absolutely loved our stay here and it proved to be a very relaxing end to our visit to Borneo.

TROPICAL HAVEN if you want a private pool AND the beach, then BBV is perfect. This was the case for me, my mom and my sisters for our all-girls trip. We were searching high and lows for such place and was on cloud nine when we managed to find one. We booked the Beach-front Pool Villa and though the price was quite steep, it was also value for money. The close proximity of the villa to the beach is to die for. Imagine waking up (and sleeping) not just to the sound of waves but also seeing the waves from the comfort of your own bed. The stretch of beach is clean and water is clear, the private pool is of nice size for a few laps whenever you feel like it. The villa was in beautiful and in good condition, clean with complete kitchen amenity. The lighting was cosy, both fans and AC are available. The main bathroom is big, with a jacuzzi tub, and rain-shower. Another noteworthy recognition is the staffs. They were very warm, friendly and professional. Their services are also fast and efficient. From the moment we checked in, till we checked out, every staff we met were smiley and hospitable. There are some room to improve though in terms of the resort’s facilities such as the restaurant and gardens. The restaurant has a satisfying list of menus but i wish for the place to maintain the tropical-vibe we get from the beautiful villa and surroundings. The garden could also do with better maintainance and seatings. Look at resorts in Bali/Lombok for inspirations 👍

Here is an overview: - really good value for money - villa has aged - nothing major but it reduces the appeal of the place - villa literally metres from the beach - unbelievable - private pool is great - low water pressure - Malindo flight was delayed by 6.5 hours but hotel only allowed an extra hour for check out. Malindo offered no compensation - far from city centre - about 1 hour with traffic and no food delivery service - room service is very affordable for hotel std. Food was good. - activities were relatively. - hotel arranged private taxis which were very reasonably priced - no free shuttle to mosque for Friday prayer - breakfast - limited in variety

The apartment was on the third floor, nice view from the apartmet, check in process was smooth, someone will contact you before checking in. Great stay, would definitely come back again!

The staff called to confirm my time of arrival and prepared the room by turning on music and air condition as the weather was really hot. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff were really friendly. The private pool was not very clean but the beautiful shared pool was clean and the relaxing beach made up for it.

Overall is excellent. We had a great and comfortable stay for my family with small kids. I would just suggest for cleanliness on the private pool please. Zahid is an excellent and efficient staff. Thank you Zahid. Your attitude made our tourism to an excellent level. Keep it up! I would highly return in near future and recommend.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The villa where we stayed the entire time was very comfortable, had a nice ocean view and just a stone's throw away from the restaurant (the food and the service were good and the price was reasonable). Even the weather cooperated, nice and sunny during the day with some rains in the evening (it made the stay even more comfortable and cozy). The kids loved the private pool since it allowed them to swim in the evening. One small kink, however. You need to have your own car if you will stay there since the place is in almost a remote place. There is shuttle, alright, but its trips are quite limited. All in all, I would still say, it was a very good choice!!!

The room was very spacious for us, a family of four. Our room was a little outdated as far as cosmetics, like our balcony railing was rusty. They have two swimming pools that were really clean. The beach is huge with hardly anyone there. It felt private it was so nice. During high tide there is hardly any beach, but perfect time to hit the pools. All the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. It would have been nicer to have the pools open a little later with lights. The property is about 40 mins from the city center and about 5 miles from closest outdoor mall, so the resorts restaurant is the closest restaurant around. The food was good, but extremely expensive compared to restaurants in the city. A cup of regular coffee costs 4 to 5 US dollars. The front desk was always super helpful. They helped set us up with our tours. They also have free shuttles to the outdoor mall at 10am and 3pm. The local outdoor mall has a grocery store and eateries that included KFC and Pizzahut. They do not deliver to the resort though.

The entire villa is beautifully designed. Like it near beach but my villa was not directly in front of the beach. Has got a small pool but pool not so clean to swim in.

The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel.

Wow, where to start. This place was fabulous! The room was so luxurious, it was beautifully decorated and gorgeously furnished. The bed was quite possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom was stunning with a small bath and a rain shower. Further, this has all the mod-cons you can hope for. Dyson hair dryer, a power bank to take out whilst exploring, USB charging ports on each socket, digital mirrors, electric blinds, and that’s just some of what’s available! The designers and planners have thought of everything; they provide two litre water bottles in the rooms and even have Biscoff biscuits in the tea/coffee set! The staff were helpful and quickly checked me in. I asked for a pool towel and they gave me two for my comfort. The communication from management and staff was excellent, providing precise details on where to get a taxi to and where to go on arrival to get to the apartment.

Lovely property! Really comfortable beds and great amenities in the room. The decor is lovely. Nice big bath tub and shower. Two pools, a gym and a massive open space with benches and hammocks to enjoy. Very clean. Love the fridge which has free soft drinks and water for guests. Everything you need is available. The staff are really friendly and helpful and are always available by WhatsApp. Perfect location too in the Imago mall where there are tons of nice restaurants and lots of shops. Quiet and peaceful once inside. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Kota Kinabalu and this is by far the best!

I've had some very friendly and helpful "hosts", across many countries, over the years but Vinah was truly exceptional. The room looked new with "all mod cons" and additional facilities being available, if required, found nearby in the shared hallway en route to the Ritz Residence main door. Just about anything you want to buy can also be found in the huge Imago Shopping Mall. Located within minutes of the seafront and convenient for other areas of Kota Kinabalu either by foot or cheap taxi. Two good sized pools, in attractive surroundings, for the use of guests.

Very comfortable , very clean , and very thoughtful about small touches and things - including Dyson hairdryer , providing perfumes , umbrellas . Super communicative and responsive team. Right next to a mall . Swimming pool or gym is in the next building if you want to use

I cannot fault this Hotel. Best hotel I ever stayed in in all of my travels. We had the biggest room on level 5 with a walk in wardrobe. The breakfast buffet had the most amazing selections to cater to all taste and to top it all, the menu had something different everyday. Every single day. And the fruits and chilled food were all kept in refrigerated coolers which made me feel safe to eat - hygienic and fresh. The staff were all amazing and friendly. The whole hotel was very clean. The bar and pool were excellent - great entertainment and food. Pool was great. Location was perfect. Shopping mall was just across the road and good location to catch a boat to the islands. And best of all, when I lost my ring in the pool, they did everything they could to locate it. It was finally found by another kind patron (thank you whoever you are) after we had flown out of the country. But the amazing staff at Hyatt Centric organised the return of my ring back to Australia. What hotel does that? None - only Hyatt Centric KK. We are booking this place again next time - for sure. We really liked the location, it was right in front of a big shopping mall and the facilities were really nice, everything was mostly made out of wood and there were lots of rocks and greenery in the hotel. The breakfast area was nice because there were two sides and you could choose to either look at the sea or the forest. Our room was comfy and we enjoyed the fitness room and the pool, the pool is a rooftop swimming pool so it was a nice experience.

From arrival to departure, our stay was perfect !! We loved it so much we extended our stay for 1 night. The staff is amazing , they working very hard to provide excellent service . I did book the room for my partner's Bday and they even spoilt us with little attention in the room . Thank you so much for making our stay special. And the bed ... Omg so comfy ! The pool is incredible, we were lucky enough to have it for ourselves few times . The hotel is brand new , the gym is well equipped and the bar is beautiful. Breakfast amazing . Sea view and forest view are both nice .

Fantastic hotel. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and well planned. The staff were very friendly, attentive, polite and professional. The bed was very comfortable. The pool on the 23rd floor is just amazing with a view of the water on one side and Mt. Kinabalu on the other. Beautiful bar with wonderful staff and very good cocktails on the 23rd floor as well. Very well located within walking distance of many good restaurants and shops. This hotel is exceptional value for money and one of the best we’ve had the pleasure of staying in as of late. Highly recommended.

1. Excellent location - right across the road from a large and modern mall and also the Jesselton Pier. 2. Service - everyone we met (Reception, concierge, roof-top bar, dinner restaurant, breakfast restaurant) were super-friendly, genuine and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. 3. Best buffet breakfast we had in a long time in a buzzy top floor restaurant with amazing views. 4. Outdoor rooftop infinity pool - You must make time to experience this!

Yes, pretty's on the inside. That would be my best description to describe this property. It looks normal on the outside but you'll be fascinated more once you get in your room. I almost cancelled my booking when i saw the outerior but thankfully i didnt. You even will have to climb up around 3 levels before you reach your room, but i believe this is not a problem for someone who takes care of their health hehe. The building might not seem classy but hey, don't judge the book by its cover okay? I promise it'll reach your expectations. The interior is so classy and i would say it's on the same level of a high class hotel. All the facilities are in good condition. My room was super clean and comfortable. The location is also strategic as you can easily find restaurants and groceries nearby. The customer service is also great. Text them now and they'll reply in the next minute. They guided me even before i arrived to the hotel, sharing their exact location so it was easy to find. They're also always available for help during my stay. Comfortable place, strategic location, and helpful staff. What else do you wish for? They have everything.

The communication from these guys was second to none. All the information we needed to find the location and check in was provided and also things to do. It’s a bit of a hidden gem as when went into the room we were pleased with the cleanliness and quality. It exceeded our expectations and initial impression on arrival. It’s a nice walking distance (10-15mins) to Galah street market (Fri/Sat) which is a must. We checked in at 7.30pm and out at 4.15am next morning for a flight so not much more I can in other than it was perfect and we are very grateful for the advice and information all night. Even checking we were up at 4.00am and whether we had an problems getting a Grab taxi 10 out of 10

The room was so so so nice! The whole place was spotless and clean, so nicely decorated and so spacious ! The toilet roll was soft ! After 3 months of travel this has 100% been the comfiest bed yet, could even be the comfiest bed I've ever stayed on in my life 😅😅 The aircon was cool and quiet ! A tv that actually works !! We've not had a single tv that works when you switch it on , anywhere we stayed in Asia ! The facilities are high tech, touch light switches and light up mirrors Very very easy check in too, host has been great on WhatsApp Plenty of Shops and cafes surrounding the location, so good location and a daily food market outside Did I mention the bed was comfy? Really good value for money , thank you

The room was very nice, love the deco and how they arrange the furniture in the room makes it looks big. Bed was really comfy especially after a long drive to KK and had to continue again my journey the next day so my rest for the night was good. Location was very convenient, walking distance to malls, seafood place, convenient store. Checking in and out was really easy and the best part I gave my expected arrival time, they even put on the air-condition ready for me so can enter into a nice cool room to freshen up. Host was very helpful and keep checking on any other thing needed for my trip. This place is really recommended for solo or couple travelers.

Amenities are great. They provide exceptional service and communication is top notch, the best I have encountered. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The lightings are switch on by touch. The Grab service would drop off sort of behind. That area in the morning is not accessible because of a myr$4 charge to enter for cars. Just walk to Takaful for pick up. At night, the boom gate is open. The foot bridge (10 mins) to the Waterfront near there too. Go to Welcome Seafood by crossing the road next to Nasi Lemak Kahwin and walk through the building to the other side.Great food and service. Watson is also across that road. Great to buy bottle water, medicine and toiletries.

My stay at A Residence was absolutely enjoyable. The room was warm, stylish, and thoughtfully arranged with everything you might need for a comfortable night. I loved the small gestures — the air conditioner was already running when we arrived, and they provided useful extras like a powerbank, space to store our luggage, several bottles of drinking water, and extra toiletries. The service was truly commendable. Shortly after check-in, the host sent a message to ask if everything was satisfactory — a rare courtesy that really stood out. The room came with excellent features, including efficient air conditioning, a strong shower, a spotless bathroom, a secure drawer, and a fridge. The location is very convenient for moving around Kota Kinabalu. One thing to note is that there’s no lift, so you’ll need to use the stairs to reach your room. It wasn’t a major issue, just something to keep in mind. There was also a bit of noise from a nearby pub on the first night, but they had already provided earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a clean, cozy, and well-managed place to stay. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting KK.

1. Owner reacts prompt on any whatsapp message, sent helpful information in advance. Very nice and helpful 2. Rooms are brand new (Sept. 2024) and clean. High standard equipped. 3. Aircon is not noisy and not blowing straight onto bed, so very comfortable 4. Fridge working well. Cabinet of fridge is totally enclosed, so we let front door of cabinet open for ventilation 5. Shower, toilet very good and clean. Mirror even has anti-fog heater 6. No elevator, 2 nd floor. Staff organized to bring our luggage up/down 7. restaurants and a bar (pass through street food Chinese restaurant) just next to the entrance of staircase. Lumpsum: highly recommended

Clean beyond expectations, and amazingly helpful and communicative staff. Easy to find as long as you read the directions provided. Location is great, within walking distance to many mini markets, food stalls, and great restaurants. The owners and staff clearly put a lot of thought into this place. Beyond the basic amenities, they also provided a hairdryer with various attachments (including a diffuser!), and a scale to weight your luggage, which was very useful for us. Would definitely recommend A Residence to any friends and family planning to visit Kota Kinabalu.

It was our best stay here in Kota Kinabalu, the staff is so kind and efficient. They were very available for any information. They gave us good advice on our trips. There are many facilities and the apartment is very well located in the city center. In terms of interior design, it is worthy of very beautiful hotels, not very big but you feel very good there. I can only suggest it for a stay in Kota Kinabalu 100%. Thanks again to the kind staff.

Loved the location and the pool facilities. Sunset views were exceptional at this property. Recommend to stay at the ocean wing rooms. Means you have access to the whirlpool (fab for the sea view) and can use swimming pools in both wings. Rooms are spacious. We liked the outdoor and indoor day beds. Also liked that you can request for water, toiletries, etc. through the website without having to ring housekeeping. Also recommend to eat at Kozen. We had such a fab experience there. Some of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful going above and beyond. In particular we would like to mention Wil the lifeguard at Ocean Wing and Clifford at Kozan the Japanese restaurant. Poolside staff had complimentary insect repellent which was much needed. Cute ice cream shack on site that even sells bingsu.

This establishment was by far a true gem. Stay here! Not only did the hotel provide exceptional staff and amenities, the entertainment was beautiful. We were whisked away with the beauty. We stayed on the 6th floor, elevators were quick, the breathtaking scenery was so on point. If you look down close at night to the trees directly near you, the Oriental pied Hornbills would sit in the trees. Magnificent birds, very similar to a toucan. The neighboring forest is meters away and a night walk is well worth it through the discovery centre. We met the executive chef that has Michelin stars after a fantastic 8 course meal that we thought was four courses. Hot pot was too much for two but we so thoroughly enjoyed this also. Tepi Laut restaurant has a large range of food, however we couldn’t go past Framaggi pizza, wow. So from horse riding, surfing, pool and pool games, bike riding, cooking classes that you don’t need to book, entertainment all round, this is the best place to go in Kota Kinabalu. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Shuttle bus will take you to golf course or into town and other places. Very quick.

Originally I had a booking to the Garden wing but right at the arrival I have asked for an upgrade to the Ocean wing. I had a sea view room on the fourth floor. The room was incredible, the layout is something I would even love to have at home. Spacious terrace with tub and comfie sunbed and fan which I used every day. We got every night a short loval story as part of the turn down service, very nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, the pool at the ocean wing is only for guest of the ocean wing.very nice, calm atmosphere,perfect for relaxation. Every day we got cold towels and fruits at the pool. The staff was super kind everywhere, special thanks to Sue at the Oceano restaurant for the nice chats at breakfast and dinner. I can also highly recommend the massages at the spa at the golf club especially with Lindra. The sunsets are stunning at the beach.

We were a group of women celebrating our 40th birthday’s. From the moment we arrived, the staff for so kind and welcoming. The resort is beautifully located. The pool was amazing and the food and drinks were superb. We tried a bit of everything- from hiking the reserve, SUP pool yoga, beach volleyball, karaoke, waterslides, the day spa…we decided to upgrade our rooms for the last couple days and made use of the Ocean View Rooms which have a bath on the balcony. We met Fiona the General Manager and she ensured the staff went above and beyond for us and organised a special dinner and breakfast. I honestly couldn’t fault anything and I keep telling everyone how much we loved every second. I cannot wait to go back. Thank you again for everything!!

We upgraded to the ocean wing on arrival and I have to say it was the best decision for our family. The setting was quiet and peaceful which is just what we wanted for our first 3 nights in KK. The pool was superb and the cold towels by the pool and water stations nearby were perfect given the lovey weather! Our rooms were great and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would say is that the walk to the beach wasn’t the best, you need flip flops! Otherwise a perfect stay.

The hotel has a delightful aroma! :) This marks my fourth stay at this establishment, and each time has been enjoyable. I frequent this hotel primarily for brief business trips, and it perfectly embodies the boutique hotel concept. While it may lack amenities like a swimming pool or extravagant buffet, I find it entirely satisfactory for my needs.

Perfect for business trip but if you are coming with family the facilities might be lacking such as swimming pool, play area, etc. Thanks a lot for upgrading my room!

Very good pool and pool bar! Not many pools in Asia have sufficient sunbeds around them but this one does and having the pool bar next to it is really handy for drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I want to sincerely thank all the hotel staff for their outstanding service during our stay, especially Jonathan at the concierge, and Diana, Khainul, and Chef Terance at the Executive Lounge. Their exceptional and genuine customer service exceeded any I've experienced at other Hilton properties. My family arrived at the hotel around 6:00 AM, exhausted from our early flight. After check-in (just sign and haven't assigned the room yet) and breakfast, we were awaiting for the room for ready. While we awaited in the lobby, Jonathan greeted us warmly and offered to relax in the pool area. He immediately assisted us by expediting our early check-in. He thoughtfully handled our luggage and ensured it was delivered to our room while we relaxed by the pool. This exceptional hospitality is something I've rarely encountered, even among Hilton properties in the U.S. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. We made full use of the hotel's amenities, including the gym, spa, pool, and restaurants—all of which exceeded our expectations. Overall, our stay was incredibly satisfying. The hotel is located slightly away (approximately 15-20 minutes walking distance) from the main tourist district, but transportation via taxi or Grab was readily accessible. It is an excellent choice for family vacations. We are already planning our return to Kota Kinabalu next year and will undoubtedly choose Hilton again. Thank you again for making our stay truly memorable.

Hari Raya is a time where we seek some quality time with the family. Being in the hospitality industry the last thing we personally don't feel like doing is yet another hosting session. Hilton Kota Kinabalu provided a wonderful avenue for us to spend quality time together and being pampered by the friendliness of their team, the food and the pool ! Love it here. We appreciated the fact the early check in, the delicious food, the many gazebos and lazy chairs at the pool area and the eco friendly toiletries -Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc in refillable big bottles rather than small one time use plastic bottles. A memorable, relaxing stay. Left feeling rejuvenated for sure :)

Great location not far from the airport as well as conveniently close to ammenities in the city, Hotel and room was well equipped with comfortable bed, spacious room and shower, pool is very well kept and presented with nice loungers and good drink/food service ( not cheap though but worth as a treat) Service was impeccable from check in , breakfast was well organised with great variety of food and beverage , i had a late check with a late flight in the evening they kindly allowed me to use the pool for the day so i could relax, chill and have a shower prior making my way to the airport. Excellent customer service!!

I like the spacious 3-bedroom unit managed by the hotel group. It was located near the airport and I got to enjoy seeing the taking off and landing of the aerolane at the pool area. The swimming pool has the best view and it is a rooftop pool. I enjoyed almost everything about the hotel. Overall, I would still want to visit and to encourage everyone to try staying in this hotel as it has the best view facing the aeroplane taking off and landing view, good services provided by all hotel staff, away from the crowd in Imago mall. Pleasant smell in the hotel lobby and rooms. Thank you for a fabulous closure in our Kota Kinabalu trip, as our previous accommodation in IMAGO was horrible and unpleasant. You bring smile on our face.

Huge room with great views of the airport and the sea. The pool is great however does lack a bit of seating/pool loungers (there is a 4 or 5 seats max). But its greay seeing the planes land from the edge of the pool. Staff really friendly - they do charge you a refunable deposit when you check in - just something to he aware of.

The room was exquisites Like a 5star hotel Parking is an automated car park, excellent also Pool is the best feature Kinda like an infinity rooftop pool, overlooking the runway of KK airport, where u can see planes flying in n out.

Your room was big spaceous and beautiful, love the view from the pool. Overall Aru Suite room and pool is Excellent however for others (Breakfast, Housekeeping) left little to be desired.

Room was immaculate, extremely spacious and comfortable. Lovely rooftop pool. The pool was busy but there was a lovely atmosphere. Gym space for workouts. Great value for money. Very good location in relation to the airport. Easy to check in straight away when we arrived around 2-3am. Town is only a Grab Taxi ride away. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I really loved the beautiful view and how clean the room was—especially since I travelled with my kids. The environment was comfortable and safe for families. We had a wonderful stay and were truly satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly place!

Overall, as expected, everything was fantastic. The Mount Kinabalu view from the homestay was spectacular...it was a worthwhile stay. The owner was friendly and humble, the staff was supportive & friendly.

Overall its a good place to stay. Water pressure was great. Got water heater also. Hair dryer available upon request. We stay for two nights. We requested to change the towel on the second day and they granted our request. There was common area where u can read books, chill out with family while eating and got kitchen too. Staff was friendly. Tq for great hospitality.

Nice homestay in kundasang. We got the 2 bedroom & 1 living room apartment. It.s nice that each bedroom has it.s own toilet and shower

Staff was exceptional, can't name them all but from concierge, front desk, restaurant staff, pool, housekeeping and the various F&B outlet staff - genuine, always with a smile and nothing is too much of an issue. The resort was what we, the family wanted. somewhere to relax and enjoy. We stayed in the Tanjung wing and the sunset was spectacular. My husband and I were in the deluxe sea view suite, and we would highly recommend. What we did like was that there was a kid friendly pool area and an adult pool area which suited us perfectly.

We stayed here for four nights, and overall, it was decent. The scenery is nice, and it has its own beach, but the hotel is quite old. What we didn’t like: the breakfast was mediocre, and one day the milk was even spoiled—simply unimaginable. We raised the issue with the staff at the time, but when we brought it up again before leaving, we realized the staff hadn’t reported it at all. The F&B manager came to apologize and offered a complimentary lunch, which we didn’t have time to eat, so we gave it to friends. Another thing is that at the end of breakfast, they bang a gong to clear people out, which feels like they’re herding animals—it’s awful. Even if it’s part of their culture, they should consider the guests’ culture too. We’ve raised this with the F&B manager and hope they make changes in the future. The pool is large and great for kids, but the pool temperature depends entirely on the weather, as there’s no heated pool. The staff’s English is generally average; only a few greet you, and some don’t even bother to look up. Shangri-La really feels like a fallen aristocrat among five-star hotels. We also booked a sunset viewing at the bar with a minimum spend of 200 MYR. The food was bad, and the view was just average. Not recommended.

We had a brilliant stay here. We spent 6 nights at the end of our Borneo trip after the jungle and it was just what we needed. We had interconnecting rooms for our family of 4 which included 2 bedrooms and a spacious lounge in the middle which was perfect. The view out to the sea and over the sunset was such a treat! For us the hotel is the perfect combo of rest and relaxation but with very easy access to the town for dinners / exploring. We spent many hours relaxing by the adults pool and took a trip to Sapi island which we all loved. The adult pool could do with new sun loungers / cushions etc - they are fine but not ‘luxury’ like you would expect at this hotel. Small point but worth mentioning. We chose to eat breakfast in the horizon lounge as we were looking for peace and quiet after a busy jungle experience and for us, it delivered that perfectly. It is worth noting the hotel is undergoing some upgrade work which in some places is needed but while we were there the work was done very discreetly and didn’t cause us any issues. Would we return- yes for sure!

We only booked for one night as a stop-over on our way to Penang after touring part of Borneo. We wished we had stayed longer as location and customer service were excellent. We booked a Club Room and were so well looked after by Veronica in the evening and by Milhanna at breakfast time. When my wife advised them she was gluten free they immediately advised the chef and she was given special meals which was really appreciated. The location of hotel is close to airport although you would not really know it as it is quiet but well placed for your transfer to airport. There is a kids pool area and a more adult friendly pool area so everyone was happy. Location is peaceful and if you get the chance try out the Sunset Bar for an evening cocktail.

Stayed in Tanjung ocean view which got nice sunset view. All staff- room service, breakfast room , pool area, are all excellent. Check in was good, got upgrade . Pool was very old but maintained very well and clean. Beach area was not that good. Breakfast got everything, fresh juice, fruits pomelo etc. noodle sections. As mentioned before by others late check out is not allowed even when hotel is less than a third full. We were given “ star lounge access for staying on but as mentioned by others nothing in there except toilets.

We loved our time at the Holiday Inn Express and even extended our stay. The whole package is modern, efficient, bright and welcoming. Though this is not a "Resort" hotel, no pool etc, it was perfect for our needs of a comfortable safe place to stay while going about our business of exploring KK etc. It had been especially good as we had relocated there from another booking in a nearby hotel which was a disaster, we walked out and forfeited our payment. So, Holiday Inn was a great comfort to find and we'd certainly stay there again.

Fantastic hotel and staff. The staff are so helpful, especially Kish and Valentine, who have made my stay so memorable, but also every other person I have dealt with. The are two things that could be improved: - whilst Guiness is available, it is only available in half pints! - there is no pool, sauna or jacuzzi, which detracts from the overall experience. I liked my first experience of the hotel so much, that I came back😊 I just need to find somewhere to have a swim🤣

Holiday inn express kota kinabalu is the best hotel ever..no wonder I seen so much name Michael been mention at the comment at trip advisor..I was lucky that I encounter Michael in the morning and ask him about best place to eat, snorkeling and sightseeing..he manage to arrange our day trip to Mari Mari culture village and snorkeling in 1 day..and he also recommend some best local restaurant nearby. it was really memorable trip during our stay at holiday inn express kota kinabalu..also thanks to Barry, Felicity, atirah and azuan for taking good care of us..HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS KOTA KINABALU IS THE BEST HOTEL EVER HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR OTHER TRAVELER'S..THE SERVICE WAS REALLY TIP TOP LIKE 5 STAR HOTEL SERVICE..SEE YOU AGAIN MICHAEL HAVE A BLESS DAY..

I booked this hotel way ahead of time so the price I payed was suspiciously low. It made me a bit uncertain, but once I got there I was so beautifully surprised! This hotel exceeded my expectations- is seems new, fresh, immaculately clean. Originally designed bathrooms are a nice and elegant surprise. Beds are very comfortable and a choice of pillows gives you comfort at night. Breakfast is tasty and there is a lot to choose, mostly Asian style but this is obvious. Good coffee and „adventurous” Malay sweet section. We loved hotels’ restaurant - nice vibe, great outdoor part and menu with lots of delicious choices. Prices are really low - unseen in hotels of this quality. Definitely recommend both for food and drinks.

Sherman at the reception made my stay perfect. He is phenomenal. He was the person that checked me in, addressed all my questions during my stay and was there on check out. Seek him out if you ever need a reliable person with reliable updated info in KK. My queen room was beaufitul, with amazing view of the forest, big, comfortable bed, everything is spotlessly clean, well equipped. The location was somewhat uncomfortable to cross the street with a busy aggressive traffic, but once on the other side, everything is within walking distance. Breakfast is ok, but don't expect anything elaborate. Overall, great value!

Great service provided by Mr Mizan and his FO team. The hotel is quite new, I love their urban style design (aka separuh siap design). The room I stayed comes with excellent Kota Kinabalu City view, especially the sunset view. I was staying at twin sharing bedroom. Room facilities was great, you can screensharing / bluebooth sharing to the smart TV. P/S Audio system quite good, but I like the city view the most! Will definitely come back again together with my family for vacation.

great property and service. bit far from from town but the low price makes it great value for money. we used multiple facilities and all were great. staff was superb all through everywhere. comfortable rooms and utilities. breakfast is pretty good. not a big spread because it is not a grand star hotel. but still good variety and good taste. gym is well equipped. parking is adequate. would strongly recommend this place if looking for a non city central place to stay.

Amazing accomodation.Altho' secluded location,it's surrounded by mountain views.,It's the best place from the hustle and bustle of the big city.Travelling is just 10mins away,where Grab just cost merely 12 ringgit which I recommend.Astonish room design that comforts u the moment u step in.Overall, this will be my best hotel in design & price where others charged higher rate yet less styles.Kudos Ibis Styles!Highly recommended.

An excellent experience with my stay here, the hotels is very comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and very accommodating. Or later. Oh yes, yes I was attended to by a staff call Vio at the front desk at the front desk. She was so friendly and helped us checked in smoothly. If I could give her for employee of the month, she should get it.

I stay pre and post my trip to Mount Kinabalu. What i like the most is that this hotel closer to travel to mt. K. Size and facilities are good enough for a solo traveler like me. Many local restaurant, convenient stores and atm nearby. Bed is very comfortable, they even have “GULING” which very important for asian.
